Located in the heart of the old city of Sighisoara, Romania, Restaurant La Perla offers a unique dining experience with its outdoor seating overlooking the charming cobblestone streets and an inviting indoor atmosphere. The restaurant is known for serving exquisite Romanian and Italian cuisines at reasonable prices. While some visitors have found the burger buns to be disappointing, others have enjoyed the tasty food and friendly staff.
Very good food and excellent service. It is located in the city center. You should try traditional dish lichiu that is exceptional.
Benny M — Google review
It was my 3rd time here and it didn't disappoint. Food is always good. Definitely coming back when passing Sighisoara next time. Keep it up, guys!
Jeanina L — Google review
Good place to take a lunch or dinner. Good attention by the staff. About the food surprise to us the quality and price, very good service. Surprising the papanasi The atmosphere of the restaurant is cool but they should lower the background music a little
Jose R — Google review
Very good restaurant, we had their version of chicken schnitzel covered with crisp and crunchy cornflakes, the porc cotlet was qmazing and rich with flavours and the Papanasi were a perfection.Thenportiins are big enough to be split between 2 persons. Alex , our waiter was very courteous and friendly and everything was served rapidly. Would definitely come back next time i am there
Izhar H — Google review
Tasty food, friendly service, decent prices! Burger was a blast, pizza made in a wood fire oven, even my rabbit was so soft and tender. Great home made desserts! But the waitress made us the entire evening, with her attitude and help in choosing dishes, plus helping us in making a family moment, cause one of the brothers was his birthday!
Catalin M — Google review
Papanasi was not really nice because the dough was oily and did not have branza de vaca. The smantana was full fat like butter. Also 35 lei for a medium portion of two average papanasi is on expensive side. Unsmiling staff. Too hot inside due to the pizza oven
Maria N — Google review
Great service, atmosphere, and food. Our server Alex was wonderful, he made recommendations that did not disappoint. We had the ciorbă with sour cream and chicken, it was one of the best soups we ever had. Pork chops and pizza were also good. We preferred the indoor dining which has very comfortable seating. We ate here twice during our visit to Sighișoara and can definitely recommend.
Dana D — Google review
Tourist trap. We ordered local 'bean soup in bread' which contained so little soup/beans/meat that was hard to believe, the taste was basic. The 'tochitura' was also really dissapointing in terms of quantity which was very little for a high price(tried this food in many restaurants before and this one was the tiniest one and this place is not some gourmet place), it was however tasty but this could not redeem it. Also the place was very dusty. The service was alright. This was my experience, would not recommend and I hope that whoever reads this will have a better experience

Nestled within the Central Park Hotel, Joseph T Restaurant is a sophisticated dining spot offering a diverse selection of international and local wines alongside delectable dishes. The restaurant's elegant ambiance is enhanced by live concerts, making it an ideal setting for both business meetings and romantic dinners. Situated in downtown Sighisoara, near the park and just 150 meters from the Clock Tower and Medieval Fortress, this restaurant provides an excellent option for a leisurely lunch or an extended romantic dinner.
Undoubtedly one of the most impressive restaurants in Sighișoara. It's located within a 4-star hotel but the restaurant is open to everyone. The atmosphere is great and the interior design is very stylish and pleasant. The seats are very comfortable as well. The service was excellent from start to finish. Our waiter was friendly and our drinks were quickly brought to the table. The food was delicious, with large portions and beautiful plating. The ingredients seemed to be high-quality and every dish we served was very tasty.
Liviu-Cristian M — Google review
I really enjoyed the look of the place. It is really nice and with an elegant vibe. The atmosphere was absolutely lovely and really romantic and the music was just right. Regarding the food now, well, the food was just okay, in a way I expected a bit more, since the prices were a little spicy, but was alright. I had a Diana steak, and my partner had filetto a la jossph t. I also had a caramel cheesecake for the desert that wasn't really sweet, but the cheese was really good.
Alexandra B — Google review
Absolutely Outstanding! We had dinner here and enjoyed a Transylvanian cheese platter, fish bream, and duck leg, paired with local beers. The service was impeccable from start to finish, and our waiter Mr. Sile was truly exceptional — attentive, professional, and friendly. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a classic style, with comfortable seating that makes you want to linger. The food was simply fantastic — compliments to the chef! Every dish was perfectly prepared and bursting with flavour. It was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. Highly recommended!
Nina M — Google review
We had an amazing evening at the restaurant. The interior looks fancy, but you feel cozy once you get a seat at the table. The staff is really quick and helpful. The menu is very diverse, and you have plenty of options based on your diet or preferences. We had duck and sea bream in the oven and was really delicious. They have a great selection of Romanian wine, but we chose a glass of their wine house and was perfect. The quality of the food and service far exceeds the price.
Silvia U — Google review
Had a very nice dinner here. There's an extensive food and wine menu. Large serves. Most menu prices are very reasonable. Large tables and very comfortable chairs. Service was unobtrusive and professional.
AussieIslander — Google review
We enjoyed our meal so much last night! The ambience and everything we ate was amazing. I also thought the price was very good The best part was the service of our lovely and sweet Simona. She really made the meal special for us
Celena V — Google review
Although we started with two amazing dishes we were expecting a third that never arrived because we had a confusion with the menu, which the waiter saw and didn’t help with. He was always unbothered and never cared to know if we were enjoying our meal or had any question, which is expected of a restaurant of this price and rating. Rather unfortunately, the third dish (spicy beef strips) was chewy and tasted poorly.
Marta A — Google review
The restaurant is great! I got a T-bone steak and a Chateaubriand, which were cooked amazing. I also wanted fries and a sauce, that they didn't have in their menu, but without hesitation, they made them for us. The food was very good and the plaiting was amazing. The atmosphere was calming and the interior was fantastic and felt royal. I totally recommend it!

Indulge in delightful mulled wine, fresh cake, and homemade jams while soaking up the historic ambiance. Whether you choose to dine in the medieval wine cellar or on the terrace with views of the Clock Tower, this venue offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere for a peaceful respite from bustling tourist areas. Savor traditional treats like papanas and pancakes alongside plum lichiu cake.
Restaurant it's the best in town. The guy who brings you food its the funniest, it's very kind and knows his job well. Recommend Bulzul Srajerului, way too good. Pick the tables from the terrace for the best medieval view.
Andy A — Google review
Average food big portions but taste just okay. Expected more authentic medieval cuisine but this is just basic food. Try the rolled cabbage and it comes with polenta and fried ham. The greek salad is also big portions. The price is ok. They have garden terraces inside and the staff is very friendly.
Faozan I — Google review
We had the most delicious meals and the server is so friendly! It is also really affordable, the goulash soup is amazing and a must try!! Their pizza is also so delicious! Came back 3 times during our week in Sighisoara!
Kija N — Google review
I liked this place and the food was delicious! This place is good for taking picture and a cute cat stay in the restaurant.🥰
Susan Y — Google review
Best place to eat in Sighisoara by far. The staff are very friendly and professional, the portions are generous with very good prices especially for the area. Also had the best coffee we tried in Romania in our two weeks here. Keep up the wonderful work!
George K — Google review
Nicely decorated restaurant with delicious food. The outdoor seating area is very nice. You can see a bit of the Clock Tower from the upper outdoor seating area.
Stari Z — Google review
We were seated outside which was a bit dusty, understandably. It is a medieval themed restaurant with friendly staff and a great assortment of food. The food is quite alright and customisable, I highly recommend getting the hot pepper sauce and the lady's vegetables, the grilled foods are also quite nice.
Jean-Paul E — Google review
Old school Romanian style food hidden in a beautiful alley. The inside is nicely decorated and has a pretty patio. The food was good, and the mixed grills were flavorful and tender. Only issue was the service. It needs a lot of improvement. Very slow and choppy.

Located on Strada Octavian Goga, the restaurant boasts an inviting ambiance and friendly staff, making it perfect for families and friends to enjoy a relaxing meal. Such a cozy place. The soups are fresh and super tasty, you can tell they’re made with good stuff and a lot of love. Tried the salad with Mozzarella di Bufala too, and again, quality ingredients all the way. Good food, good staff and good location. Easy 10/10.
Nerea H — Google review
As others already have said the food looks good but its bland, very weak in actual flavor, needing salt and pepper and not satisfying to eat. The servings are big. We served dinner in the interior and the atmosphere was weird, no music, no ac.
Alinnus1 — Google review
We went 3 times to eat at Ferdinand Bistro and we loved it each time. First time we bought pizzaioli which was amazing! Totally recommend it! Second time we got ciorba de fasole cu ciolan afumat, and it was so good! After, we got pizza capricciosa and it was also delicious, in conclusion, the pizza dough is amazing at Ferdinand Bistro. For drinks we got the red wine glass and socata, both were good! We 100% recommend! The food came very quickly, ~10 minutes, and the waiters were kind.
MERRY — Google review
An absolutely gorgeous Italian restaurant with great service, location and choice. Pizzas are an obvious choice and they don’t disappoint. Cocktails were also delicious and coffee looked tempting though we didn't have the time to enjoy some. Portions are big and service is really attentive.
Lamis G — Google review
This Italian restaurant has three vegan options including a very nice pizza with tofu and a bowl with rice and chickpeas. Since there aren’t many dishes containing protein around the center of the old town, so you should try it out! And if you need help ask Adriana 😊
Michal M — Google review
Ordered the tofu vegan pizza. Was super skeptical because who puts tofu on pizza. It is very easy to slap a few vegetables on tomato sauce and dough. This was thoughtfully put together with flavors in mind but the dough is also incredible. Chewy, good char, and the right amount of crispy.
Michelle Y — Google review
Nice patio to sit on and nice inside also. A good selection of pizza, pasta, local dishes and good salads. The salmon bowl was great. The crust on the pizza has a lovely dough and is cooked in a pizza oven. Could be more generous with the sauce and the tasty toppings. Service was fairly fast but not particularly attentive. Overall a good choice.

What a pizza 🍕 amazing taste Bread was very well made I tried best pizza in the town and I didn’t like sea food meat in it but the taste was anyway so good

The Gasthaus Altepost Restaurant is a traditional German restaurant that offers excellent food at reasonable prices. The staff is helpful and always ready to offer advice on dishes and portion sizes, making it a great choice for breakfast and dinner while in Sighisoara.
My stay here was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I arrived until my departure, I was thoroughly impressed. A comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely consider staying here again. Location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions and city center. It was within easy walking distance of everything I wanted to see and do.My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The staff were exceptional! Everyone I encountered, from the front desk to the restaurant staff, was friendly, professional, and always willing to assist with a smile. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. I also had a wonderful dinner at the hotel restaurant. Thank you for everything ❤️

Love it! Quality food and reasonable prices. The decoration, service and taste made this restaurant our best choice in town. Try the pizza!! Unfortunately I didn’t took any pictures because when the food came I could resist to it 😅
Christina V — Google review
The papanasi are amazing at this place! It’s a must try! Also the Liliac red wine was really good. We sat in the wine cellar and it had a really cozy atmosphere.
MERRY — Google review
This review regards the restaurant. My husband and I had a very bad experience there today. We came for dinner only to be greeted by no one and directed to an open table with a hand gesture no word by an extremely unfriendly and rude server. We ended up ordering just one pizza to share. No one checked on us during the dinner, no suggestions, no words whatsoever. When we asked for two plates that were not provided beforehand the server looked at us again no word and sent someone with the plates. It was very unwelcoming. We finally asked for a check and waited forever to get it. Not to mention I’m pregnant and the wait was absurd. The server brought us a check with again absolutely no words no thank you no nothing. Please do yourself a favor and never go there especially as a foreign tourist. Unacceptable behavior.
Sonia K — Google review
We intentionally came for dessert only. The staff was delightful and the underground atmosphere was cozy and warm. The papanasi was cooked perfectly. Crispy on the outside, soft and spongy on the inside. Great amount of sour cream and blueberry topping. The presentation made us want to dive right in.
Andrew U — Google review
The waiter visibly and audibly coughed directly in our soups. On top of that I’m fairly sure he was laughing about it to his colleague. He also quite rudely demanded a tip, which he did not get.
Will H — Google review
We waited at the entrance and no one came, but two guys busy behind the bar saw us. We saw a table downstairs. We went back upstairs and waited again. One of the guys said there was no space behind the corner, only round the side at the top and he pointed. The table there was reserved. We waited downstairs to see if we could sit there. There was another guy behind the bar there. He came over when I started fiddling with a bottle and told us to go back upstairs as there was no space upstairs. We went to another restaurant.
Lydia — Google review
Food was very good. Everything seemed extremely well served with great plating. Salads were amazing so was the pizza.

Concordia is a restaurant located in the heart of Sighisoara, a city with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. The city, situated on the Tarnava River in Transylvania, is known for its well-preserved medieval architecture and has been recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Concordia offers traditional and Italian cuisine at reasonable prices, making it an attractive dining option for visitors exploring the area. Its beautifully arranged terrace adds to its charm.
Great place to eat in Sighisoara, Romania 🇷🇴. Very centrally located. Seating all outside from what I could see. Great ambiance with lively background music. Service was wonderful. Food is great, and this restaurant has an extensive menu. They do accept credit cards. One unique feature of this restaurant: they have several cell phone charging outlets for customers.
The P — Google review
I had a late lunch, early dinner here. The heaters were good. However the food and drink were not good. The beef goulash was really tough and rather tasteless. The lemonade was awful, just really sweet syrup in water. Service quite slow even though not many in the outdoor area. No one seemed to be in charge of the outdoors area.
John B — Google review
Very disappointing experience. It didn’t take long to place our order, but it took over 10 minutes just to get our drinks. We ordered a Greek salad as a starter, which took more than 30 minutes to arrive, and it wasn’t close to what we expected; lettuce with a few tomatoes, excessive black olives, no cucumbers at all. By the time we finished the salad, our drinks were empty, and we then sat for another full hour without ever receiving our main dishes or hearing form our server. I eventually had to track him down. There was no apology or mention that our meals were on the way so we paid for the salad and drinks and left. What made it worse is that the restaurant wasn’t even busy, so there’s really no excuse for such poor service. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common issue here.
Eric S — Google review
Nice staff, great service. In less than an hour we ordered and had our food brought to us and also finished eating. The portions were generous and the food absolutely delicious. Small issue was the small bathrooms but they were clean so there's not much to complain. Bonus points for the local cats politely roaming there. Made the experience a 10/10
Eliza P — Google review
Great music and lemonade. Pizza was great, the Bruschetta de la Casa was good but drenched in olive oil ( so ask to go easy on the oil).
Merav N — Google review
Skip this place. Alina (our server) took over 30 minutes to bring a drink out, and over an hour to bring food. Not a busy time, just poor service. The food was also meh. It's a shame because it looks nice, but poor service ruins it.
Rodney — Google review
Do not recommend! The food was awful! We received cold grilled pork and chicken meat (looking as yesterday cooked) that actually was raw and tasteless! Even the grilled vegetable were bad! How can you mess up grilled vegetables?! The prices do not match the low quality!
Georgiana T — Google review
Visited the place on a rainy Saturday, it was packed. Serving was reasonable and fast enough though some of the waiters (men, especially) were chaotic and barely coping. The beans-in-bread soup was good and tasty, but the tripe soup was no where near...it was only a tasteless coloured liquid with some tripe in it..the burger we've ordered was acceptable/read 'ok' but not the best we've had and the goulash was miles apart from the real Hungarian meal, it should have been. Prices were ok and they do charge in addition for any extras you might have, as in our case: bread, sour cream, chilli pepper etc. From our experience, i would recommend them only for the beans-in-bread soup.

Located in the heart of Sighisoara, 'Restaurant Cafe Martini' is a popular choice for those seeking traditional Romanian cuisine and a variety of beverages. The restaurant caters to special occasions such as name days, anniversaries, and New Year's Eve parties. With a focus on meeting customer expectations, they offer adaptable services based on the type of event requested by the client. The cozy ambiance and delectable dishes make it a memorable dining experience.
A good place to eat in central Sighișoara, great location near the park and the access to the Citadel. I was personally intrigued by the outdoor barbecue where the cook prepared the food. It's always a nice touch to be able to witness the process and adds a good feeling to the whole experience. Service was very nice, friendly staff. Food was very good, well cooked. Had the mixed meat platter for two which also included fries, sauces and sour cabbage. Prices were decent. Would definitely recommend and would be willing to come back.
Marcel P — Google review
A great evening spent here, good food and service. The kids have "șnițel " and spaghete carbonara, we’ve had the Wow salad and fried sweet potatos, all dishes big and tasty. Prices good also, we will definitely come back when in the aria.
Fluturas M — Google review
Terrible service. Arrogance all over with the serveuse. I don't know where's that coming from. They take their own time for everything even to hand over the menu. Food was average. I couldn't even enjoy the average food. Top of all they asked me to pay for the bread and sour cream (seperately) served with the soup. Seriously? I was enjoying Romanian cuisine all over I travelled but this time not a good experience.
Joyson A — Google review
The restaurant offered a delightful experience with a cozy ambiance and delicious food. The beef and chicken soups were flavorsome, while the pizza 4 meat was a definite highlight—savory and satisfying. The overall atmosphere and quality of dishes made our visit a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.
Kirk R — Google review
I liked the atmosphere and the service but the food was nothing to write home about Had a traditional bean soup in bread (bread was fresh) which was decent enough and the pork ribs which are supposed to be a signature dish and were, unfortunately, a bit burnt and had a funny taste. Also they serve frozen fries and the BBQ sauce is not home made, quite expensive for such quality. I did like the hard liquor, plum brandy and they have beer on tap unlike other places in the city
Klaus W — Google review
The place is well located next to a small park and also near to the taxi station and the parking zone. Inside looks clean and modern and the staff is very friendly with the clients. The food is tasty and the timing is fast. As well the main course is huge and I couldn't eat all. They forgot the drinks but later I reminded and there was everything okay. Enjoy!
Raul-David L — Google review
I think it's one of the best places to eat both for lunch and for breakfast. Tasty dishes, a very good quality/quantity/price ratio. I really liked the fact that the dishes were not very salty/burnt and that they were fresh. Decent prices for the center of Sighisoara.
Lisacoschi A — Google review
Great place to spend a brunch, the cocktails were the hit, totally recommended to try their palinka cocktails. The lady that host us was kind and polite, the service was fairly decent and the menu is quite overwhelmingly loaded with specialties. Didn’t try some other dishes, other than the breakfast ones but I think the value of the restaurant is decent. Thumbs up!

Vlad Dracul Restaurant, located in the historic Casa Vlad Dracul, is a must-visit for tourists eager to experience the birthplace of Vlad Dracula. Despite its fame, the restaurant offers high-quality traditional Romanian dishes that satisfy visitors' cravings. From tomato soup with croutons to beef goulash and cabbage rolls with minced meat, the menu showcases a wide variety of authentic flavors.
Surely touristic place. Having been for a weekend in Sighisoara couldn't have miss it. Reading so-so reviews didn't expect much from a good in the restaurant. But we were positively surprised. The goulash we ordered was very tasty. Definitely recommended. On the downside - "Dracula room" upstairs for an extra 15 lei/person is not worth it. Better not to go there, nothing to miss.
Andrew O — Google review
Delicious is a small word, incapable to express the taste, the flavour and the aspect of the dishes... And the cherry on top was that we could also bring our little wiener dog with us. And even better, the service was impecabile!

I’m a big fan of Vlad Țepeș so of course I had to come and eat at his house the food was delicious and I bought a souvenir pound of coffee I still don’t know if I’ll drink it.

very good service, delicious food, good flavors and a magical atmosphere of the time

Great food! Awesome location to visit! Worth the time. After vusuting many locations this was the obvious location to stop and eat. The beef snitzel and Hungarian potatoes was great, and the Dracula's kiss, and papanasi which it was two big like donut filled with cream, delicious!
Elizabeth G — Google review
Trip advisor says it shuts at 23:00, Google says that it shuts at 22:00, the sign on the entrance door says that it shuts at 22:00. I was very rudely refused service at 21:15. Hence, I did not spend any of my money here during my three nights in Sighisoara. I should have heeded the advice of the ‘Rough Guide to Romania’ which comments that the restaurant is, “tacky, and not particularly good”. I can add that it is also unfriendly and that the staff are rude and lack any customer service skills
Brian R — Google review
The food was excellent, very authentic, and well-priced considering it was served in the most touristy location in the city. The server was attentive (compared to most servers in Romania) and I would have eaten there again, but I wanted to try as many different restaurants as possible. I would highly recommend the goulash (pictured in my pics) and the outdoor seating area, even though it’s not as scenic as in inside dining room. They have a bar inside as well as a souvenir area. The “room where Dracula was born” is one floor above the restaurant, and it’s a must-see if you’re in the city.

Good food and service. Supposably the birthed place of Vlad the impaler and surely his father's (Vlad Dracul) house. It has a nice upper floor prepared dracula style. Definitely a landmark in Sighisoara, and the fact that the food is good is a welcomed bonus.

Michelangelo is a charming Italian restaurant located in the heart of Sighisoara. The menu offers a variety of delicious Italian dishes, including classic pizzas and fresh pasta. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its authentic and delectable cuisine, with some claiming it surpasses their experiences in Italy. The cozy atmosphere, accompanied by good Italian music, adds to the overall dining experience.
Great place! The food was amazing and the service as well. Went because we wanted a lasagna and found it! We understood that the owner lived in Florence for more than 20y, so we could really feel like being there.

One of the best experiences we've had in Sighișoara. The restaurant is close to the medieval citadel, on a small road. There's a small terrace in front and only about 6-7 tables. The service was excellent from start to finish. The lady who served recommended their best dishes and we were happy with the choices. The food was tasty, with good sized portions. The waiting time was alright, considering we were told that every dish is made on the spot.
Liviu-Cristian M — Google review
It has been a while since I had an Italian cuisine. Here, the food is excellent! I had mixed seafood platter, and Eldorado fish. I have never tried it before. It’s very tasty indeed, but has lots of bones. The seating area outside is a delight. Watching people walking around while enjoying your meal! The service is excellent. The owners serve you by themselves actually. Extremely friendly people! Please Just note: Their Prices is high. Highly recommend!

We shared dishes family style. Carbonara, delicious! Bistecca alla Fiorentina was dry aged and cooked perfectly. All of the ingredients were from Italy and the restaurant is reviewed and certified by the Italian Culinary Institute (?). Amazing. Don't miss it. Food is made and served by the owners, a lovely husband and wife team.

What a great family restaurant! They are from Florence. No pizza here, this is fine Italian food. We had several drinks (my wife is a drinker), two salads and the mixed seafood grill with pannacotta and I tipped 20% for the great service, 79 USD. My only regret is that I didn’t notice the refrigerator with the dry aged beef for the beef ala Florintine. My recommendation is that after a hard day of touring, you should take your whole family here for the steak Florintine. I wish we had a second night here! Don’t miss it!!!

Really nice place with great service. Had a wonderful bistecca fiorentina, rare cooked as it should be. The wine selection is very good. The owner is also the Chef and he is very friendly, talks to the clients and explains everything in the menu. We had a very pleasant talk. Prices are on the higher end of the scale but it's worth it. The food is premium quality. Would recommend for a dinner in Sighișoara, I will return every time I will be in Sighișoara.

An excellent Italian restaurant. We are vegetarian and had some lovely mushroom penne with some delicious spinach and broccoli side dishes. Oh and the cheese cake was magnificent. Well worth the walk down from the citadel. The owner is lovely too. Can't recommend enough. Could be more choice for vegetarians though

Great quality food and very nice Italian staff. We arrived without reservation and the owner made an effort to accommodate us, and put at preferred table outside. After enjoying drinks inside our dinner (delicious!) was served on the terrace. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Nestled in the picturesque Hermann Oberth Square of Sighisoara, La Piazzetta is a delightful Italian restaurant that promises an unforgettable dining experience. This charming eatery serves up a delectable selection of traditional Italian cuisine, including freshly made pasta and mouthwatering pizzas. We had a great time there, at the Country Rock Affair concert. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The food and beverage is great, the service very good. I recommend pizza, vine and tiramisu.

I ordered a portion of pasta carbonara which was like an omelette and only tasted like egg. I do not recommend at all.
Andrea M — Google review
The location is good and the waiters are very kind! But I didn't enjoy much the pizza : the taste was quite okay but the mozzarella was barely there and the pizza was half burnt; not to mention that it was not very abundant. I expected more having seen the price.. Plus we waited a lot of time to receive our food and to pay.

Title: Exceptional Dining Experience! I recently dined at La Piazzetta in Sighisoara and was thoroughly impressed. The cozy ambiance, attentive staff, and diverse menu made for a memorable evening. I tried the Pizza Diavola, a true masterpiece of flavors and presentation. The attention to detail, extensive wine selection, and impeccable service elevate this restaurant. Whether for a romantic dinner or a special occasion with friends, La Piazzetta in Sighisoara is a must-visit !

Okish food, but careless regarding details. That is in contrast with the somewhat high prices. Vegetable cream soup is just regular soup throwed into a blender. The meat from the Goulash had some slightly burned marks. I wouldn't come here twice...

The place is nice, has a good view. I really appreciate they were respecting all hygiene and social distancing rules during the pandemic. The food was awesome and the plentiful while the price is fair. They don't have a great variety of desserts, but there are lots of plates available, though.

Nestled within the historic Sighisoara Fortress, Restaurant La Strada is a popular dining spot offering a delightful blend of traditional Romanian cuisine with a contemporary flair. The charmingly rustic setting adds to the appeal as visitors savor specialties like sarmale, mici, and mamaliga. Guests can also indulge in smoked and baked pork shank with bean stew while exploring the underground restaurant that houses a souvenir shop at its entrance.
This is an amazing restaurant have above Sighisuara, the food is very good And the local Romania wine is every bit as good as a good French or Portuguese wine. The waitress that served us was also friendly and lots of fun.
Noel C — Google review
This restaurant is definitely nothing special. It is quite expensive but the food needs more seasoning and in our opinion also a bit stronger taste. I really do not recommend the La Strada salad. The cucumber, salad and tomatoes with few bites of cheese and cold chicken with a really small amonut of yogurt dressing was nothing I expected for 45 lei. And also do not go for the dish called somehow like Pork pan with polenta from the Rumunian specialties section-very tasteless. What I very recommend is the Goulash (5/5)! And the stuff was also very helpful and kind!
B P — Google review
I find this very interesting because of the location and how much effect has once your sitting on the terrace you get a good feel enjoying the old square view next to the famous staircase. Service here is good, owners super friendly and food is tasty. I do recommend and we will come back again.

Nice place. We sat for a quick lunch. We were the only customers at the place. They have started doing some renovations which wasn't the most pleasant experience. Soup and chicken filet with gorgonzola were great. Service was also good. Inside the interior was quite impressive.

I asked waiter to fill my bottle with tap water for my dog and he charged me for 10RON!!! Tap water is always free of charge exept this place. Shame on this place. I wouldn't recommend this place for anybody. You should stricktly controll your bill. They suggested In the comment that I was without dog. They are right. I didn't want to come in to the restaurant just for water with 59 kilograms od Cane Corso.

We waited for a good while so we hoped for slightly bigger portions or slightly better food…. But it was not bad overall. They forgot to bring us the second beer ;) Yet the climate of the Main Street and 10h drive to get there were best seasonings

The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting ambiance while offering an array of delectable dishes. Its extensive menu ensures that guests can relish in a delightful fine dining experience.
First of all, I love the look of the place, so green and lovely. Secondly, the mugs are adorable, and the coffee is delicious. I had some food as well, some pasta with mushrooms and truffle, and were delicious. The menu has plenty of dishes you can choose from, and I'd definitely revisit cause I'm curious about trying other food as well.

Have visited this place in the summer. The place is really great. Food was okay and coffee was great. Overall we had a good breakfast. I did not like the dog that was walking around the tables and hunting for my food. I have asked the staff to do something with the dog, but it was without a success. It ruined a bit our mood.
Encike — Google review
Good choice of food on the menu, including traditional Romanian and Asian. The noodle and rice dishes were incredibly tasty and the pork and chicken ones were cooked to perfection. Plentiful portions. Waiter was very friendly. Would highly recommend this place.
H C — Google review
Lovely atmosphere, we were the only ones in the restaurant when we arrived at 6-7 pm on a Friday so the wait time was really short. They have a lot of options on the menu and its best to use the one they have there instead of the online one since some things are crossed out and you get a better idea what you could order. We got the salmon with hollandaise sauce and sweet potatoes and beef with hummus, pomegranate and focaccia. The salmon and sweet potatoes were amazing, the hollandaise sauce was colder than the salmon and it was a bit too much, but overall it was delicious but I’ m guessing it wasn’t heated at all and just put over the hot salmon. The beef was cold, I’m guessing it’s made in a bigger batch and then used in various dishes so it could make sense. The focaccia was just bread and the pomegranate wasn’t present at all, instead there were some forest fruits. The combination wasn’t bad but not what we expected to get when we ordered. It wasn’t a cheap restaurant so the expectations weren’t fully met. However, I would give it another try when in Sighisoara.

Feedback for the waiter and kitchen: I’d like to share my experience, as I believe there’s room for improvement. When my food was first served, it was clearly burnt — something I hope both the kitchen and the staff noticed. I also received a portion of rice, which was fine on its own, but became irrelevant once the main dish had to be replaced. You brought out a new portion and asked if I was satisfied. I appreciate that gesture. But I wonder: would you yourselves have been satisfied with the first plate? To me, it seemed like something that should’ve been stopped in the kitchen, not at the table. The new portion didn’t taste burnt, which is good, but it was drenched in soy sauce — so much so that it tasted exactly like my friend’s dish, which was also soaked in soy. That made the experience feel uniform and lacking in personality. And the rice? It wasn’t replaced. So when the new dish arrived, the rice was already cold. It might seem like a small detail, but it’s in the details that true service quality is revealed. That said, I want to highlight that the waiter was incredibly kind and welcoming — a warm presence that made the experience more pleasant. The service was good, even though everything took a very long time. Finally, I’ll leave you with a simple question: if you went out to eat, would you accept the same treatment?
Mikael C — Google review
Overall very bad experience! We ordered a pizza and a baked pasta dish and they were both super bland and not tasty. The pizza had almost no sauce and it looked like a flatbread instead of a pizza. It was very dry! The pasta was definitely not freshly prepared and it tasted like something I'd prepare in my college dorm room out of a frozen package. The waiter was super slow and according to me bad at his job. I don't even want to comment on the toilet - piss and toilet paper everywhere, horrible! I regret having dinner there with all my heart.

Honestly, the food is average, prices are quite afordable and service is friendly. So this was the problem. We were a group of 8, large for a small restaurant to be fair but we were also the only ones in the place. The waiting times are just way too long in this place, and this is a big problem because for tourists every minute is precious. We've waited over an hour just for the starter to arrive. Only half of us got a starter because the restaurant couldn't deliver what some of us wanted (which was soup). The mains arrived 30 mins after we had finished the starters and missed three of them. So we had to wait some time more... Therefore I wouldn't recommend this to place to any tourist visiting the twon and wouldn't come back.

Nice view, that's all. The meat was OFF!!!! The waiter was very slow. It was just couple of tables and we had to ask for ketchup twice. On second visit they missed the fries completely, we finished eating until these were finally served. No apologies. We ended up sending them back. We just went to the restaurant. The location is stunning! You can see the whole Sighisoara from up there, perfect setting for pictures, big enough for events, there's an adventure park (but it was closed now (end Oct)). We stayed outside, had a great time but food is average really. If you want a great setting for a coffee or a glass of wine at sunset, it's the best place to be.
Adriana C — Google review
I gave it a one star because the owner took advantage of the ongoing festival and increased the prices with 150% for the camping. Even though I would be okish with the price, as a lot of places increase prices while high season, the facilities are very disappointing. The showers are filthy as well as the toilets. There are no facilities for campers. There is a restaurant but the prices are quite high for the quality. I am not sure if the prices are the same during the whole year. The prices for the camping during the year are 30 lei (one tent and one bike). Now we were charged with 75 lei (one tent, one bike and one person). The prices are for one night and one person. Bottom line.... Very very disappointed.
Vlad G — Google review
The restaurant is average wenn it comes to food quality. They have no breakfast option in the menu but, if you ask for, they can make something basic. Situated on a hill, above the city, you benefit from a perfect city view. If you want to camp here with a motorhome, you have electricity, water and shower. They need to do more for the shower cleaning.

The place has the best view over the Sighișoara city. The food is good, the staff is very friendly and the place is very nice. The only thing that could be improved is the menu which has just a few options(this is the reason for 4 stars). It is a possibility that the menu to be influenced by COVID.

Everything you need (kind of) It's really close from the citadel (just around the street) and prices are accessible. Nestled within one of Sighisoara's historic buildings, dating back to 1734, Restaurant von Graf offers a delightful blend of classic Romanian and international cuisine in a charming medieval-style setting. The ambiance is enchanting, making it an ideal spot for both food lovers and those seeking a cozy dining experience. During my recent visit, I was captivated by the inviting atmosphere and the delectable dishes on offer. I savored the four cheese polenta and fried cheese—both were absolutely scrumptious!
We visited there a few days ago while exploring Sighișoara and were absolutely delighted! The place has a beautiful atmosphere and truly delicious food. We tried the 4 cheese polenta and the fried cheese - both were incredibly tasty. We also treated ourselves to a Hugo cocktail, which was perfectly balanced and refreshing. To top it all off, we had the famous papanași -freshly made, soft like a cloud on the inside, with a light, crispy crust on the outside, generously topped with fresh cream and jam. Absolutely divine! The food took about 15 minutes to arrive, but everything was freshly prepared and well worth the wait. Highly recommend!

I came, I paid and I left right after seeing the room. The smell in the room and the very poor qualtity of...everything, including the location (parking literally in the middle of the road) made me give up the money and find somewhere else. Luckily I found a beautiful room at Hotel Central, same price, breakfast included. The owner of Casa cu Cerdac promissed to return the paid money, but after 2 or 3 days he just said that he can't and will not. Don't go there! There are plenty of beautiful places to stay in Sighisoara.

Great place. They have a wonderful terrace and grill up on he hill. 10min walk to the town center. No AC, the breakfast is not worth the money, but they do give access to the kitchen.

Without breakfeast, not even posibility to buy one(but some one has), not friedlny staff, not english speaking, rooms was clean but rather small, relatively good place to go to centre about 10 minutes by walking. Posibility to park motorcycles inside. Free WiFi

Casa Saseasca is a charming traditional guesthouse located in the heart of Sighisoara Citadel. The blue building offers 9 cozy rooms, a shaded courtyard serving beverages, and a terrace for drinks. Guests praise the warm hospitality and friendliness of the staff, particularly mentioning Alexandra's welcoming demeanor. The medieval setting adds to its allure, making visitors feel at home in Romania. The rooms are described as clean and picturesque with some featuring mini-bars.
Sighișoara was my favorite town in Romania and Casa Saseasca was my favorite lodging. The owner Ana was extremely kind and friendly and Alexandra was very helpful and attentive. This Inn is right in the middle of the Citadel and I would highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

The food was not good at all, we had bean soup in pita - a food we eat all the time but this was the worst of them all, guys at the restaurant, the bean soup should not be soured, it's a common recipe, I'm sure you can make it better.
Cosmin S — Google review
The location of the accommodation is absolutely perfect: literally in the middle of the citadel. The view from some of the rooms is straight into the square, so the best location ever. The rooms are large enough and very clean. The bed is of decent size and really comfy. The furniture is beautifully painted, with traditional models and colors. The host is very nice and easy to talk to (she is from Brazil, but speaks perfect English and decent Romanian). Would definitively recommend, if looking for a prime location and a traditional feeling. Disliked · The accommodation is actually a really old house (recently renovated), so the wooden floor is a bit squeaky. But that did not bothered us at all, it just adds to the authentic traditional feeling. Also, parking is not available, since it is a pedestrian only area. Again, not a problem for us, but could potentially be a problem for disabled people.
Andra R — Google review
Very nice, right in the middle of Sighisoara Citadel. The staff was extremly kind and accommodating, gave us a room of three at the price of two and was extremly honest about the level of noise and heat on each of the three floors so we are able to make an informed decision about which room to choose. There is a terrace outside where they serve drinks, but they also serve breakfast in the morning if you want to (I believe). The rooms are extremly clean. They are provided with mini-bars. The most interesting aspect of the rooms is that the furniture is adorned with traditional Hungarian models. The ceilings are high whcih keeps in line with the traditional house model. I highly recommend this place. It is very good value for money and it allows you to be in the heart of it all.
Alina T — Google review
The room was really nice, with traditional motives and comfortable for our 2-nights stay. The room was clean and equipped with everything we needed. I loved the view directly through the square. Although it's such a central location, the noise wasn't loud at all and we didn't encounter problems on this side. Staff was really nice and helpful, was a pleasure to interact with them. I would have loved for them to have a breakfast serving, but who knows, maybe in the future it will happen. Thank you, Casa Saseasca! :)
Diana L — Google review
Great guest house, superb value for money. Rooms are cozy and clean, staff is helpful, location couldn't be better. And yes, you CAN reach the gate by car to (un)pack your luggage if you show your reservation to the citadel guard - but you do have to park outside the citadel for the duration of your stay. The only thing I can't say anything about is the food - we just happened to eat elsewhere... Which reminds me, it would be nice if they served breakfast.
Kristina K — Google review
Me and a friend booked a room in March 2025, and paid for 2 nights - 25 -27 July. He had our confirmation received for the reservation. Later, on 13th of may we got a message saying there was a an error and a larger group rented the place for 4 nights. It was quite a struggle to get a hold of somebody on the phone. I talked to the receptionist 2 times. Long story short. A month and a half and we are just now told we have no reservation, even though we paid in advance. I've attached a screenshot of their reason for rejecting us. CASA SASEASCA, you should change your name, cause Saxons were good hardworking, reliable people, and you ar nothing like that! Worst services so far in Sighisoara!

NUVELA is a highly regarded dining establishment in Sighisoara, Romania. Situated in the heart of the historic city center, NUVELA offers a variety of authentic Romanian dishes crafted with fresh ingredients and a contemporary twist. Their menu boasts delectable appetizers such as zucchini pancakes accompanied by sheep cheese and feta, eggplant caviar, and homemade sausages.
They say that lángos was invented in Hungary but the way this place makes them convinces me that they must have been invented here! An absolute delicatessen of authentic delight. I think my taste buds were dancing on the first bite and they kept dancing after the last bite. So buttery, salty, toasty, crispy and best of all CHEEZY!! I am so glad my first langos was here with this great restaurant and I appreciate the addition of garlic 🧄. You can apparently try different types of langos, good to know for my next visit! Even the very simple coffee they made was somehow so amazing with a rich deep flavor. I love the Romanian chairs with traditional designs. This humble place is the hidden treasure that locals probably hide for themselves 😂 but I literally was wandering around looking for an open restaurant and found this one. Great service. Romanian people are amazing!

Best pit stop after the walk around Sighișoara old town for a quick snack and beer, coffee or soft drink.Ask for garlic on your savory froed donut. Right across is a good Cofetăria for sweets.

The langos here is amazing, probably the best I’ve ever had (and I had quite a few). I highly recommend them.
Cristina P — Google review
What treat of fried donut like pastry with your chosen toppings. We liked the savoury prosciutto and spicy tomato better than the sweet chocolate sauce for our breakfast treat.
Barnabas T — Google review
In Sighisoara, I've seen other places with cheaper langos than here (12 lei vs 18 lei), but, I've only tried the langos made here. I don't know what they added for those extra 6 lei, because the person serving you is certainly not the nicest and the classic cheese and garlic langos I had was not the best I've ever tried. At least the person serving attepted to wash their hands before preparing it.
Cristina M — Google review
We went to the restaurant but it was closed. The friendly staff suggested to go to their trailer under the clock tower. And there was another friendly young lady and our langos tested great - fresh fried and not greasy at all!!!! Recommend at least trying it!
Nina P — Google review
Really tasty Langosi. For a deep fried pastry, this was surprisingly light. It was crispy and didn’t feel oily at all. It was also huge. Even after eating my remaining half 30 mins later, it was as crispy and good. So pleased with this!

Vegetarians will find a haven here with scrumptious quiches and lasagnas on the menu, alongside a standout lemon meringue pie that’s simply irresistible.
Delicious cake for an afternoon break from sightseeing. The lady behind the counter was very nice. There is an outdoor seating in the front. Cakes were 15 lei a piece but portions were really generous. They also serve coffee, soft drinks and sandwiches. I believe it's cash only.

Tried this place while looking for a decent breakfast option in the citadel. It was a good choice - they have a selection of cakes and pies on the sweet side, but also had sandwiches on the morning offer - not a wide range, but OK. A good selection of tea and, of course, coffee too. It also looked like a nice place to sit out in the central plaza, and enjoy its terrace during a sunny day.

A little off the main streets, but worth a visit. If you've spent some time in Romania, you have become used to the incredibly slow and unfriendly service, but this cozy, little spot gets it.. They serve up staple, Romanian dishes surprisingly fast and friendly. The food is not really that great. I had the pork schnitzel and fries. The schnitzel was pretty crispy and fatty from cooking oil and the fries, the cheapest frozen potatoes I ever eaten. The side salad was a mix of leaves, cabbage, carrots, half of tomato and beetroot. On top of it way too much dressing (2 types of dressing). Quality is not there compared to their pricing. Also the waiter was a bit grumpy. It looked like he didn't want to be there.

Pizza restaurant
Ferdinand is a charming Italian restaurant that offers a delightful dining experience both indoors and on its lovely patio. With an impressive menu featuring pizza, pasta, local specialties, and fresh salads, there's something for everyone. The pizzas stand out with their perfectly baked crusts from a traditional pizza oven, although some diners wish for more generous toppings and sauce. The service is generally prompt but can vary in attentiveness.
Such a cozy place. The soups are fresh and super tasty, you can tell they’re made with good stuff and a lot of love. Tried the salad with Mozzarella di Bufala too, and again, quality ingredients all the way. Good food, good staff and good location. Easy 10/10.

This Italian restaurant has three vegan options including a very nice pizza with tofu and a bowl with rice and chickpeas. Since there aren’t many dishes containing protein around the center of the old town, so you should try it out! And if you need help ask Adriana 😊

An absolutely gorgeous Italian restaurant with great service, location and choice. Pizzas are an obvious choice and they don’t disappoint. Cocktails were also delicious and coffee looked tempting though we didn't have the time to enjoy some. Portions are big and service is really attentive.

As others already have said the food looks good but its bland, very weak in actual flavor, needing salt and pepper and not satisfying to eat. The servings are big. We served dinner in the interior and the atmosphere was weird, no music, no ac.
Alinnus1 — Google review
