The 50 best cheap eats in Faro District

I had a dinner here on my last day in Portugal and it was the best meal I had in this holiday. Food here was incredible, especially octopus & bean stew and pig cheeks in red wine sauce were to die for! All the dishes were literally straight out from the kitchen and served piping hot. Staff are also very attentive and kind. Reasonably priced and I was shocked when I saw the bill. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

So attentive staff and great ambient. 2nd visit for Sangria. Its sangria is so generous We needed to ask for more ICE to delute. 200% recommendable. Keep that in mind when it is busy time Kitchen is quite slow and the servers make mistakes to deliver food to wrong tables. Please be patient with staff. They are all very lovely. The best Sangria in Faro. We had to visit every day for Sangria white for lunch red for dinner.

Best portuguese cuisine we tried in Faro! Dishes are very tasty and fresh, the atmosphere is very welcomed, personal is friendly. Overall experience was amazing! We came twice! Thank you!

We had octopus with sweet potato puré, grilled fish with salad and massed cauliflower accompanied by suckling pig. The food was exceptionally amazing, the octopus was very well spiced and cooked to perfection. Easily the best octopus I have had. We ordered bread which wasn't fresh and olives which were bitter - would not recommended, unfortunately.

Supper attentive staff (even though the food took a while to arrive). We got a table even though we didn't have a reservation, but it's probably wise to call in advance as the place can be packed. Not on the cheap side, but it's super tasty.

Went last week. Note the opening times in google were never right. Also they moved to a more central location and will open on Tuesday I think. Food was great so was the service. Best to book and now it will be on the more busy area thing may change. Including opening times. One of the best tapas I had in faro.

We stumbled across this place when walking around Faro. It's tucked away in a corner so it's easy to miss. It was very busy when we arrived (always a good sign). My wife had pigs cheeks with sweet potato puree whilst I had octopus with cabbage sprouts rice. The meal was excellent. Dessert was rice pudding for me and my wife had a chocolate fondant cake with ice cream. Dessert was as good as the mains. We will definitely go back when we are in Faro.

We went together with our LOFT Community during Acoteia Festival and had a wonderful time. The ambient, the rooftop, the quality of the food and the flavours, the cozyness from the Chef. We loved it!

Tourist trap, avoid! The wine in the sangria tastes cheap, the food was extremely salty, and the fish in the main was like 5% of the meal as previous comments have identified. Did not appreciate the mixing of smoking and Non-smoking customers, public smoking is banned in the UK for a reason. I'm a foodie and bad food makes me feel bad. It leaves me not wanting to enjoy my night. The staff looked depressed, especially when there is a lovely pub next to you, at least try to make efforts in conversations with customers. Safe go say we won't be returning and will be passing on the message that it's a big trap, avoid it! Plenty of better options to wine and dine in Faro!

Better than expected. Got the octopus with sweet potatoes - it is exstreamly good and a must try. For that dish alone it is worth 5 stars!

We attended the market to table cooking class and it was the most fun we’ve had! We learnt so much information, and then learnt how to cook a cataplana - a new staple for our meals! Chef was incredible, and it was so lovely to chat to her! Included in this, we had lovely starters and drinks - service is incredible and it’s clear that everyone is very friendly and knowledgable!

Food was really tasty and portion was great. Staff was very kind and friendly. Sangria was awesome!!

I visited this restaurant today for a dinner. I ordered grilled seabass with roasted potatoes and salad accompanied by local beer, which was beautifully presented and tasted deliciously. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cozy, and the interior was quite impressive. The service was really good, and the staff was attentive. I can easily recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Faro.

We attended this restaurant 2/days ago and the meal was brilliant. But unfortunately on return I have to say the service was absolutely terrible,on ordering a bottle of red wine,soup,and a steak for me in which the waiter never even asked how I wanted it cooked,he returned and threw the menu at me and said they had no steak. We just got up and left,the waiter who was a black man was the rudest waiter we have ever come across and has no idea how to treat customers.So we never got to taste any food so that’s why we have not assessed the food.

All in all it was really good. The food was really good and tasty, they have a wide variety of different kinds of wine and other drinks. The service was also very good and the staff was so friendly. You might need a translator though if you do not speak Portuguese :) recommended for sure 👍

Nice traditional full-sized restaurant near the train station. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with a lot of character. Sort of family-style tables inside, but still roomy and comfortable. I had the bargain lunch of the day, cheeseburger and fries, and it wasn't the best choice in retrospect. There are a lot of tasty local dishes on the bargain menu and the main menu. The burger and fries were good, but with some grizzle, and I should have salted it. Very good straight-faced service and quick delivery of the food. I wouldn't order the burger again, but it was a perfectly fine meal for €6,70 or whatever!

Went on a Wednesday night, no need to book. Very cosy atmosphere with friendly service. Food was served quickly. Had the Algarve style squid and the Monkfish Loin with Shrimps. Both were simple but good. The squid was slightly too oily for me. Side dish (fries) for the Monkfish was simple but generous

Found this place by accident and delighted I did. It was around the corner from our accommodation. We were looking for something comforting and fresh and this place was magnificent. Waiters were professional and very helpful especially with choosing orders. Fish was delicious and fresh, prawns in garlic were delicious and bread came with cute little napkin basket too 😁 not to mention good cold beer. It's cash only,but it's clearly signed all over the restaurant. Would definitely recommend it and gladly come back again.

This place is a hidden gem! Great food. If you're in Faro, it's a must. I had black pork strips and they were so tasty. My friend had monkfish and massive prawns on a dangling skewer, it was like a work of art 😘👌

The restaurant also serves as a rooftop bar, not only for hotel guests. Just enter the lobby and keep left to the elevators. It is a fanatistic spot to sit here in the late afternoon, shielded from the wind by the glass paneling and sip a drink and watch the harbour activities and the sunset. As you are high up you also have a good almost 360 view on the city and it is especially a good observation spot for the storks on nearby rooftops.

We spent an excellent evening at this rooftop restaurant on top of a modern building. The view on the small harbour and nature reserve Ria Formosa alone is worth visiting. Watching the setting sun is truly magical. Luckily the food matches the view. Every course was outstanding and beautifully presented. We enjoyed some good wine with our food. Service was very friendly and helpful. Only minor complaint: the courses came a bit too quickly for me, I didn't mind some extra time between the courses. But truly, this is nitpicking. Highly recommended.

Fantastic place to have a drink because of the spectacular views. However, we ordered 3 glasses of the most expensive white wine by the glass. 8€ each. The wine unfortunately was horrible it wasn't corked. Perhaps the cheaper one would have been better. In the Algarve for almost 40 years, we know it's hard to find a bad glass of wine here, but someone in charge has actually found one. But otherwise a great place to visit.

The food is delicious but unfortunately the service is not very attentive. You clearly notice that there is no manager on the floor. The menu includes 4 fish dishes, 3 meat dishes and 1 vegan dish. Prices vary between 20 and 35 euros. Ria Formosa restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the Faro Hotel, located on the harbor of Faro. It is directly connected to the Cosmopolitan Rooftop Bar. The restaurant is decorated in a modern way, and the light is too white, which makes it look a bit like an office, instead of a cozy restaurant. But it has a fantastic view over the city and nature area Ria Formosa. And you see the many planes coming over low. There are a limited number of tables outside where you can eat. That's the most beautiful place! But the place is unique, so recommended! PS You can park under the hotel. The elevator takes you to the 4th floor.

Very nice atmosphere. The panoramic scene is magnificent, but the sunset doesn't meet one's expectation: there's a building obstructing the view. The food is the weakest point. There's a clear effort to prepare elegant dishes, but it is (alas) unsuccessful. Fish (including bacalhau) is terrible. The salads are barely sufficient. Bread and flavoured butter/cheese are good. The waiters are polite, kind and patient. They all speak English. In conclusion: difficult to judge, but taking everything into account, no more than 3 stars.

It was a very interesting fine dining experience, although I was there during a conference dinner, so the menu might not be representative of the regular one. The courses were elaborate, beautifully plated variations on the local cousine. Very friendly staff, and the location is flabbergasting - the views from the rooftop can make you dinner all by themself.

Beautiful place with lovely food. The terrace is a great spot for the marina view and old town, nice atmosphere to enjoy the beautiful sunset with good cocktails, wine or cold beers. I also had dinner, it was the scallops for starter and the lobster risotto for main. Both were delicious and generous portions I was delighted. My daughter had a steak with chips, it wasn't tender so that disappointed me but I will still highly recommend the sea food I had.

Book early as place is nice. Small intimate and very busy so book in advance. We were lucky to get a table ad hoc by calling the restaurant. The place is very cozy, the owners are extremely friendly and will make you feel very comfortable enjoying the delicious food served. One of those restaurants you wish you’d had a chance to taste everything 👌

Amazing food, great service, intimate setting and a lovely atmosphere. I cannot fault anything we got, the flavours were superb. If you’re in Faro you definitely need to try this place. I hope to get back soon. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Lovely little restaurant. Service was a little slow as it was busy but that gave us time to savour the ambiance. Food was delicious especially the starters and main courses. Desserts were okay. It would be good to have a vegetarian main course on menu so we can bring our daughter next time! We will come again .

Small place with a small but very personal menu, the owners took their time to explain the dishes and the story behind it. Starters won us over, had to order extra as it sounded too good to pass and we weren’t disappointed. A little over priced as the mains and deserts weren’t that special. However we still enjoy it, it’s all part of the experience. Thank you to the owners who were lovely and kind.

Such a special experience- stunning food, stunning staff, and the vibe was just exceptional. The way the staff explained and talked about each meal on the menu was so helpful and interesting. Service was outstanding and so was the taste of each dish.

Amazing concept of a restaurant with each dish being carefully curated based on their own personal experiences. The little outside area was very quaint and well-decorated. Can't wait to see how this concept evolves on future visits.

Very fresh and delicious salads! Besides the amazing fruit juice, you should definitely try their teas! The service was friendly, not so fast, but it was nice sitting in the rooftop, watching the sunset in the harbour:) The clientale is really young and hip, the prices are very good for this quality and quantity! Even my boyfriend felt full after his salad. The atmosphere and interior is just stunning, there's a lot of work in it, so tasteful. I would recommend this place for people craving something healthy but tasty!

I picked up a veggie sandwich and strawberry mango milkshake for takeaway, as I was in a hurry to catch the train. The sandwich bread was brown and seeded. It was super tasty, the filling was very fresh and lovely. It was very natural and every vegetable was fresh. Would have been nice to have a sauce a tiny bit to add some custom flavours. :) Loved it overall and would definitely buy again.

Big portions with great tastes. I highly recommend this place. Prices are very good. Food & juices are always fresh. They have a very cool terrace too. The only thing why i didn’t gave him a 5 stars is cleanliness. It wasn’t that bad but tables weren’t pretty clean.

It could have been better. We were greeted nicely, but unfortunately our server was not as nice. My chicken sandwich was excellent on a nice bread with yogurt dressing. And also ordered a salad with smoked salmon, it was good, but an awful presentation, you can see the picture. Yes I would return.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a healthy salad on the lovely rooftop terrace with view on the harbour of Faro. The salads was quite big and tasty and I really loved the smoothies. A great place for a quick and healthy lunch.

This place has a nice rooftop overlooking the Marina. The salad was nice, huge portion and generous with toppings. The place could do with a renovation, but overall a nice place to eat!

Lovely place, really beautiful views over the marina. Restaurant was really generous with the dressing and nuts too! Not too overpriced either. Smoothies are more like milkshakes and unfortunately the service was slow, we had to get our own menus even after asking and had to chase down condiments. Lovely cider - served with cinnamon and orange. Worth a visit if you're in the area looking for a quick lunch with nice views.

Don't let the pictures fool you. this is a great family restaurant, with great food, lots of charm, and a friendly staff. lunch is served buffet style which is different for the area. only open 12 to 3pm so get there early. the owner is from Liverpool and just a great guy. highly recommended

Super nice staff, very good vegan buffet. For 7,50 you get a soup, salad and several delicious meal options as an all you can eat buffet. The desert (mango chocolate mousse) was also extremely tasty. Would definitely recommend!

Food is very good, not very varied but tasty. It doesn't have atm. Good vegetarian/macrobiotic all in all. Dish of the day is 6€ or 7.5€ if you repeat. Juices are good as well as desserts, but you will end up with a bill of about 13€.

Food quality was excellent. A nice selection of salad - Versus the array of cafes/restaurants on the seafront, this little gem was a great find. Very enjoyable experience, and all the food today was vegan and has left me feeling great. Would recommend highly!

Nice place for coffee. Also they make very nice fresh juices. It is located in city centre and also has outdoor seating. Right on the sun. The stuff was nice and friendly. We also tried pastel de nata with ice cream which was very nice and pancakes that were ok.

Love the place! Cozy and tea friendly. Soy milk available. The sweets are not vegan, but they always have toast with traditional bread.

Loved it so much. Incredible coffees, massive selection of read and cakes to make your mouth water. On top of all that, the staff were super friendly and quick.

Nice offers but a little bit pricey

We loved this place so much we came twice and would have came here a third time but we were too embarrassed. The food was just phenomenal. We were two adults and two kids and we absolutely loved it. The first time we came early and got straight in but the second time we came just after 7pm and had to wait about 30 minutes outside. But it was absolutely worth the wait. Our 8 year old devoured the Butter Chicken. We had several starters and mains. All were unreal. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful meal at this halal Indian restaurant. The food was full of flavour with just the right amount of spice-perfectly balanced and satisfying. It's a fine dining spot, and although it was really busy every time we visited, the service was still excellent. They had plenty of staff on hand, and everything ran smoothly. A great choice for anyone looking for quality Indian cuisine in a lively, well-run setting.

Friendly staff, good food and classy atmosphere. I found it overpriced thought, compared to other Indian places I know near Paris or the east side of France. I had the mango lassi, mushroom curry and aubergine dish + mushroom rice and special rice. I could not identify the eggplant in the dish (it was probably crushed), mushroom dish and mushroom rice were delicious. I would probably go somewhere else but most because I think I can get the same quality for a cheaper price in this area.

Absolutely delicious!! Really authentic Indian food. Would personally recommend the chole (chick peas) and the Kulfi ..unreal!!

Tried this after a recommendation from the guy on reception at Grand Mathu Oura Hotel. Did not disappoint, my son and I had a fantastic meal. Lamb madras was superb. Naan bread was light, crispy and fluffy.

We had the most amazing meal at Clay Oven last night. I’m a huge fan of Indian food and this was by far the best I’ve had. The spice level was perfect, and everything was so flavourful! Staff were lovely and extremely accommodating, everything was also very affordable!! Couldn’t recommend more.

Best meal I have had in a long time, the flavours of the dishes were unbelievable and they were so quick and friendly with service, you cannot book so definitely if you want a guaranteed table go early but it was absolutely fantastic, best meal I have had and the restaurant is beautiful and clean!

The food was fantastic – every starter and main course was excellent: oysters with avocado, figs with cheese, the fish soup – each dish was better than the last. What we truly regret and cannot understand, however, was the service. We were given only one menu for a table of four, which made choosing more time-consuming – and the waitress clearly wasn’t pleased that we hadn’t managed to decide on the main courses right away. When it came to dessert, we ordered chocolate mousse but were served chocolate cake. We pointed out that we had asked for mousse, but the waitress looked at the cake and said that it was mousse. Such service would be unacceptable even in a buffet, let alone in a place of this level. On the bill, it was also listed as chocolate cake. With the exception of one waiter, everyone served us as if they were forced to be there – this left a very bad impression. It’s a real pity, because the food itself was outstanding and truly unique in the area.

Food is great! Absolutely worth it. Restaurant is quite vanilla, no outstanding features and quite warm inside (outdoors would be even hotter as it was a lunch). Service is subpar for the pricing... Took quite a while to get the menu and order drinks (on a hot day you should just be offered water right away..). It's not that staff was rude or anything but the food and pricing deserved a bit better... Meal for 2. Marinated sardines starter, lemon rice, chilli cheesecake, bottle of wine, bottle of water, 2 coffees. Plenty of food (and then some!) as portions are very generous. €115. Would recommend if you are in the area.

Noélia Restaurant in Cabanas, Tavira is an absolute gem! The food is delicious, with fresh local ingredients and authentic flavors that truly capture the essence of the region. The seafood dishes are especially outstanding—perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We started with a tasty fish soup, then moved on to lemon rice with snapper and clams for the adults , smaller kids delighted with clams and older one got the fried cuttlefish slices. The staff are bit overwhelmed but try to be nice and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Had a nice casual lunch there for a party of 5. Later during our holidays, we have tried to book lunch for the whole family (12 people) but were told that we would have to be charged 60eur + drinks - couldn’t figure out what we would have been entitled to, but gently declined as it seemed to be excessive …

A very well known restaurant from an amazing Chef “NOÉLIA” . Central , great location in the south of Portugal this restaurant is one of the best in Portugal Products from the Algarve , fish and some of the best recepies I have ever tasted ! MUST VISIT and taste this amazing chefs MENU !!

It's great if a chef is ambitious, but one should never forget that elevated cuisine is not only about the food. The higher the level, the more the package counts – ambience of the place, food presentation, service. The food at Noelia is good, no question. The rest: not so. We went for lunch and were surrounded by thoroughly uninterested and uncoordinated staff. In the course of the meal we were served by at last 4 different people, with none showing any engagement. Overall the atmosphere was not relaxed – one can tell if staff in the kitchen (that one can largely see into) and waiting staff are relaxed, and here everyone seemed tense – the chef, Noélia Jerónimo, was in the kitchen. Not clear how she leads the crew, but the result was not nice. Next to us a couple with a baby was eating, and the floor showed it afterwards. Later the table was then freshly decked, and no one bothered to clean the floor – I would not have liked to be seated at that table. Service needs a major overhaul at Noélia. Overall a disappointing lunch. I don’t think we will return.

Not sure what all the hype is about l! Reminds me of Portuguese food that can be found in La-di-da areas in cities in North America or London. The food is often modernized: as in fused with other ‘creative’ 🤔 styles of cuisine. I’m not a fan. In these places prices are higher and often portions are slight. I’d pick a long standing well reputed ‘tasca’ over this offering. Full-marks for marketing though! .. and my company was 👌

I was so excited to visit but left feeling very disappointed. Service was slow and inattentive. We didn't even get water for 20 minutes. The wine I ordered wasn't available but no alternative was offered - just a tutting whilst I perused the list again, I ordered a second bottle and was brought the wrong wine (it was even the wrong colour!) I'd read that booking was necessary but that was not the case as endless parties turned up and were all accommodated. The starters were good - but no one told us to share! Mains were not as expected/described and were rather lack lustre, portions were big but without refinement. We've had better tuna and cod elsewhere. I obligingly moved my chair so that someone sat in full sun could find some shade - not a problem for me but should have been handled by the waiting staff who dismissed her request to move and offered no help or sympathy. Overall a let down, best thing was chatting with other diners about where else to eat!!!

Exceptionally lucky to get a table at this restaurant. We agree with other reviewers that everything about this restaurant is top quality and that there is a wonderful atmosphere here. We had the Francesinah Porto style and Black Pig Secretos. It is the best pork I have ever had. Great fries and drinks. Desserts good too. Food is cooked fresh to order. All staff very helpful and polite despite how busy it was. Would highly recommend.

We had the best time at Jardim Rústico. Their menu offers variety of fresh seafood that comes with delicious sauces. Portions are generous. Wine selection was excellent. The staff were amazing, very welcoming and helpful. Atmosphere was calm and beautiful. If you sit in the garden, you will have flowers as rooftop 🌺 Overall best seafood experience in Albufeira, 10/10

Discovered through "the magic of the internet" Jardim Rustico is slightly off the beaten Albufeira tourist path. Easy nearby parking. After classic garlic shrimps as starters we had a deliciously fragrant and savoury cataplana. Portions are generous and the mark up on quality wine is very reasonable. The best surprise however, came from a free fado concert. Several talented singers performed during the evening. Definitely a place I will return to on my next trip to Algarve.

This is such a beautiful restaurant to dine at. They have live music on Saturdays as well. The food is delicious - we had the octopus cataplana and it was a generous serving of octopus with clams and prawns, with the broth so good that we were slurping it all up. Seafood is really fresh. The staff are really friendly and attentive. We went back twice!

Such a delicious food and friendly stuff. This restaurant is hands off in the top three restaurants I have ever been to. I recommend this restaurant to everyone seeking true Algavrean cuisine and atmosphere.

A cute seafood restaurant in Albufeira! Given the sheer amount of restaurants in Albufeira I wanted to scope out a genuinely nice seafood restaurant and this did not disappoint! Firstly the small restaurant is so cute and transports you to a more local Portuguese scene rather than the strip of Albufeira. The menu is small which we appreciated as it shows what the restaurant specialises in. After asking recommendations from the staff, we went for the prawns and cod fishcakes to start. These were incredible - the prawns were so meaty and juicy and the fishcakes were just delicious. We ordered the octopus lagareiro style and one of the catch of the day. The octopus was extremely tender, definitely my favourite dish!! The staff were so friendly, we really enjoyed our meal here. It was incredible value for money and a real hidden gem in Albufeira

Went here twice during a 10 night stay with a child ( 13 ) Had to go back a second time. The fresh fish of the day was the best fish I have ever eaten. Had Sole and Sea Bream.. I'd say they were swimming half an hour ago it was that fresh. Prawns were amazing. Steaks and Iberico pork were also some of the best I have ever had . The staff are so friendly which made it even more enjoyable. You must go if you love good food. I'd suggest booking in advance to avoid arriving and missing out...

Like the looks of the place, staff was very friendly. Answered our questions and provided recommendations. I had the wild boar cheeks which came with mashed potatoes. The cheeks soft and tender maybe a bit too much salt the mashed potatoes a bit gummy. ( this is not the first time I experienced this, almost seems they use a blender to break it down instead of by hand or a whip cream mixer) We had the cod with cornflour. Fish was good, skin could have been crispier. Cornflour lacked seasoning but the bacon helped. The vegetables with romesco sauce, again a bit salty and broccoli slightly overcooked. Romesco was good. Overall food is ok! If the chef would make some minor adjustments the food would definitely be a home run! The staff definitely makes this place very pleasant! Again some will appreciate the food and a few like myself will find points of criticism and analyze the food. I like salt but in this case it was a bit more than needed. Desert also ok, had more whip cream Nutella flavored with hazelnut pieces than ice cream.

Amazing food. I was not expecting as it is mostly small dishes to share but the reviews didn't disappoint. Highly recommend the tempura octopus and tubs tacos. The service is great too.

We really enjoyed this restaurant for lunch! Family of five (+one sleeping toddler) had lunch here in off-season November. We shared the Algavian and Portuguese boards for starters and really recommend this! Cozy atmosphere, kind staff and very nice food. Thank you for a good experience:)

The food tastes delicious, and the salad is fresh. Sadly, having different servers felt like you couldn't make a bond, and no one asked me on "how is your food?" Overall, if you want great tasting food, definitely go.

Food did not taste good and was overpriced. 2 tacos for €14 that were flavourless and soggy. Tuna sandwich was dry and bland. Cocktails were also disappointing. Nice staff and nice vibe otherwise.

Cosy restaurant ( reservation required in high season) with their own approach on dishes. Extensive cocktail menu, the communication between bar & kitchen could be improved so your done with with your margharita when they serve you the dishes. Recommend the tuna taco 🌮 Don’t recommend the pulled pork taco ( lacks some moisture/sauce)

I don't understand why this restaurant has such a relatively low rating. We were immediately attracted to this place by the fact that a lot of locals were coming in for lunch, and decided to give it a try. Just the vintage interior and traditional fittings themselves are astonishing. The service was swift, friendly and professional. We were also happy with their meal selection. The food was well prepared, enjoyable to behold and very tasty. Dessert offering is vast and equally good. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by all aspects and can highly recommend this place.

The place and interiors are BEAUTIFUL! On the other hand, the service - unfortunately, completely ignorant. We had to rebuke the order. And in the end, half of the drinks were not brought to us. Food is very average. A big plus for vegetarian dishes, but they were also tasteless. Therefore, I can't recommend the restaurant even though it's worth putting your head in to see the beautiful decor.

This restuarant was lovely. Gorgeous location in the centre of the old town. Food was reasonably priced and fresh fish was delicious. Everyone was very friendly.

We were looking forward to have dinner here, but i guess to high aspections. The waiter was kind, but and the staters were really taste ! But the main dish which had a certain price was quite dissapointing..was more a vegetable soup with a lot of fish...its a pitty. Everything tasted of paprika and white onions

The service was amazing. The owner was so welcoming and helped me to take a few nice pic with food 💖 Food was to die for. The octopus was fresh and flavourful, it’s the best I’ve ever had. Lovely lovely lovely! Food was good (but among 3 dishes we ordered, I especially liked fish with banana omg, I didn’t expect it to be that good). Sangria was great. But the waiters are the heart of this place! So friendly, funny and helpful. Helped us to learn to clean sardines😂 Also a great thing is that they have a screen where you can see how dishes look (and especially because they give you time alone to look at it and decide if you wanna stay there). The night when we were there, there was a saxophone player (street musician) who also elevated the atmosphere. This place was in the list of recommended restaurants by our hotel and it did not disappoint!

This restaurant is a hidden gem of Faro. We stayed in Faro for 7 days and have been dining there all the time. The service by Fabio is on another level. If you want to feel like a king and queen ask for Fabio. Atention to detail, general table service and food presentation is out of this world. A beautiful place with a lovely terrace overlooking a charming square, surrounded by other restaurants but with a particularly inviting atmosphere here. Each table has a small light, creating a warm and pleasant ambiance. The waiters are very kind, and some of them speak several languages, which makes the experience even more welcoming. We enjoyed a fish soup, fried calamari, and seafood spaghetti — everything was a real delight and full of flavor. It was a truly enjoyable meal, and if I had been a little hungrier I would have definitely tried more dishes and starters. I know not all reviews are the same, but for us it was more than satisfying and we will keep a great memory of this restaurant. I definitely recommend it.

I rarely leave a review for a restaurant, but this is one of those cases. Great place to enjoy a portuguese food and wine in a great atmosphere. I‘m absolutely astonished by the service here.Fabios helped me to make the best choice for my meal. Dorje, one of the waiters was super kind and helpful! He told me all the names of fishes and served literally perfectly!! I loved this place and every time I will come back to Faro, I‘ll visit this place! Wow this place truly was some of the best tasting seafood I have tried ! At first I thought it was too much of a touristy spot but after giving it a chance it definitely exceeded my expectations ! superb service the waiters are so friendly and accommodating and my octopus was just delicious covered with olive oil and roasted garlic with sweet potatoes and peppers made it not only healthy but also extremely tasty really recommend ! 😊

Saw place while walking and noticed people but did not look at google reviews. Well it is a busy place but don’t be fooled. It is not worth eating here. Our food was over salted and the shrimp well overcooked, rubbery. Salad nothing special and bread was hard. Won’t be dining here again.

My daughter loves conquilhas and so we had to have some. After entering and calling many restaurants around Tavira looking for them in August we were constantly being told it was a bad year for conquilhas and I would not find them anywhere. Every place was saying the same thing, so we gave up and decided to just eat somewhere that looked good. We came across Casa Simão, sat down and to our surprise while going over the menu there it was, conquilhas! We were so happy. They were delicious and so was the porco preto and the bitoque!

No frills restaurant, reasonably priced and moderately busy. The food is fairly average, and so there was nothing that particularly stood out. Unfortunately, the service received from an elderly waiter (he may or may not have been the owner/manager) did stand out but for all the wrong reasons. He was cold, rude, and impersonal from start to finish. Tavira has an abundance of good restaurants, with much better service and, more importantly, tastier food, and so I would suggest spending your money elsewhere.

We went there because we were out of options (Saturday evening), we didn’t expect anything special but we were shocked by this experience… super cooked bland and defrosted tuna ( colour was grey with some water in the dish) the vegetables were lame probably close to my memories of my school’s lunch. The inside is not cozy -> white cheap lights, a smell of fish but not fresh one.. Anyway it’s not a place I would recommend to anyone who likes to eat well

Leading with - the food was good. Simple but tasty. The atmosphere however was tense and you had the feeling you are not welcome right from the start. The service was not very friendly and they made it a priority to not look up/around when serving people. It was impossible to get another glass of whine for example. If you only care about the food and don’t care about the rest, this might be an option for you.

We booked here for my partner’s birthday. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived. The service and food are impeccable - my partner said it was the best lamb shank he’s ever had. Thank you for such an enjoyable evening 😊

We passed this charming little spot on a wander around town, and enquired about booking in. We were able to get an outside table for a few days later, as the inside tables book up far ahead of time. If you are heading to Tavira, book now! We each had a starter and a main course, mine was the Flambéed prawns, served with a finely chopped salad and baguette slices with butter. This was an extremely flavourful dish, especially with the French bread to swipe up all of the sauce. The only drawback was that such a finely chopped salad is a bit difficult to eat, especially with the small cutlery provided for the first course. A small, but leafy salad would be preferable. The beef carpaccio was nicely seasoned, and of course very tender. The chopped salad was easier to eat alongside the soft beef and crispy croutons. The Duck confit with Cherry sauce and frites was really excellent. The house made salty frites were perfect! The vegetable side of peas was ok, but lacked the sweetness of fresh peas that one would expect. Altogether a fine dish though. The Turbot Meunière was cooked to perfection, and the cauliflower and leek gratin suited it very well as a side dish. The potato choice of the potato/sweet potato/celeriac mash was not as pleasing, and I would have preferred a plain pomme purée, or even the frites. Perhaps simply too many strong flavours together on one plate. I generally prefer main courses to be determined by the chef who understands best what will be the most pleasing components together, as opposed to a “choose your own” menu. Or even a little guidance from the servers who are familiar with the dishes? Perhaps it is easier this way instead of diners asking for substitutions. Overall, this is not a criticism, I do look forward to returning again to this delightful dining establishment with very high standards of customer care. Next time we will leave a little room to try a dessert!

Best meal of our trip! Unreal food! Don’t miss this place. My partner had the steak, he couldn’t fault it. Catered for vegetarians too - the lasagna was delicious . We were recommended this lovely little restaurant. Evening tables were fully booked for the foreseeable, so we had lunch instead. The food was great. Confit duck and confit lamb shank with our choice of sides (the potato, celery and sweet potato puree was fantastic!) Followed by lemon tart/ice cream/raspberries, and almond tart, flamed with cointreau, and lemon sorbet. With a bottle of red and a coffee each, it was reasonably priced too. We have already booked for next week.

Brilliant friendly service. Fantastic tasty food, well balanced French/Portuguese cuisine. Kitchen closes at 1:30pm. Inside and outside tables you will have a great experience. Chicken thigh stuffed with beef, pork, walnuts and wrapped in bacon (delicious😋), sea bream, anchovies and seafood pate on the photos, all accompanied with delicious sides.

What a treat! We had lunch because dinners were booked out. The food was great and the wine, based on their recommendation, was fantastic. We would highly recommend - and if you are considering this spot - book ahead:)

Best Michelin experience I ever had. Delicious food and impeccable presentation. Amazing Wine pairing. Portuguese wines never fail to amaze me and the sommelier truly knows the essence and aging of the wines. Suggest having dinner on outside terrace for an amazing view over the historical roofs of Tavira.

The very best food we have ever eaten. The merging of flavours in each dish was magnificent. The wines with starter and main course were excellently chosen. Each course was carefully explained to us; the way in which the menu item had been chosen and the food was prepared to represent past and present traditions of Portugal was wonderful.

Our tasting menu dinner (one vegetarian, one not; seven courses each) at A Ver Tavira qualifies as the best dinner of our lives thus far. Didn’t hurt that it took place over 2.5 hours as the sun set over Tavira from our vantage point at our balcony table. Each course was a testimony to the chef’s (and their collaborators’) artistry. Sometimes with a Michelin restaurant you get beauty over deliciousness. But not so here. The food was nuanced and delectable, and the artistic concepts well considered and beautiful. We felt we were really watching an artist who was both exercising their craft and creativity with every course. Well done.

Very good, well presented but overpriced in my view. Wine pairing was disappointing, sometimes it works very well and it complements the various dishes in a fabulous way, but here it seems not to be the case, they were more like a selection of good wines than true pairing.

The experience in this restaurant was amazing. The name of the restaurant is literally what you get to have as a view: the city of Tavira. There are 3 tasting menus, we chose the Flavour Trip, and it did not disappoint at all. From the amuse-bouche to the dessert, every single dish was a party of flavours. We chose the wine pairing, which was absolutely a perfect compliment to every single dish. It is also worth noting that we had one person in our group that had dietary restrictions, and it was absolutely perfect the way that the chef adjusted the menu to align with the restrictions. It is definitely worth going to this restaurant, and take a chance to also check out the beautiful city of Tavira.

My daughter and myself ordered the monk fish cataplana and I have to say it was amazing so much food as well for 2 people and all though it sounds expensive when you see what you get it would cost double for the same meal in the uk. Authentic Portuguese food with excellent service. I come here for dinner every time I’m in Faro - have been three times already and was never disappointed. I adore the arroz de marisco (seafood rice). House wine is great too. I dream of this place and their food! I’m looking forward to come back here and can recommend it to everyone. 10/10. Price for arroz de marisco in April 2025: 40€ for two people.

We had a great meal here. We all had fresh fish and the white wine that was recommended was also very good. They were able to do a lot of items gluten free which was great.

Decided to eat here given positive reviews that I read. We were not disappointed. We had croquettes for starter which was ham and cheese. These were like sausage meat and cheese coated in bread crumbs. They were very tasty. It was served with some dijon mustard. It was cooked to perfection. We had the grilled Seabream. It was served with garlic flavoured rice. steamed cabbage, broccoli and carrots. It came with boiled potatoes. It was absolutely delicious. Definitely gets 5 stars. It was very good value for money. The croquettes were €4 for starters, €17 for sea cream. €8.50 for litre of house white wine. I would highly recommend this to anyone that loves wholesome food cooked and seasoned to perfection. 5 stars all round.

Nice setting and nicely run tapas restaurant, with reasonable prices and good portions. The short menu features a good range of foods including veg, and offers innovative creations with them. I didn't think the meals were the tastiest I've ever had, but they were nicely done and attractive. I think the shrimp risotto was the tastiest dish our group had, with the vegetable tempura next. The polvo with migas was interesting but did not impress.

The food was all very decent. Not bad, but not worthy of 5 stars. Both risotto dishes were just okay, my steak sandwich was good, the shrimp was nice, but the peppers were forgettable. We were sat at a table in the corner on the patio pretty far from the door. It was an alright experience.

Went with friends who have been several times and highly recommended it. Unfortunately, I can't say that it's been one of my better meals in the area. The good: The location can't be beat on Bishop's Square in Tavira. There's a decent sized patio out front (including a patio heater for chilly evenings) plus a small indoor dining area. The atmosphere is warm and inviting with a eclectic mix of furnishings and decor. It feels a bit like attending a dinner party at a friend's home. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive throughout our meal. The not-so-good: The food was disappointing. Really disappointing. The vegetable soup was bland and had almost no flavor...very, very underseasoned as if they forgot the salt completely. Pork ribs were small and served with a baked sweet potato half, both if which were OK but nothing exciting. The mushroom risotto was better, but it also needed a heavy addition of salt and a good dash of fresh ground pepper. Tempura vegetables were served almost shoestring style, allowing them to be light with not too much batter. Served crisp and hot, they were good but the honey and beer stout sauce was an odd compliment. They tasted more like a dessert than a vegetable with the honey overpowering the thinly sliced veggies. The dessert of the day, duo cake (chocolate and vanilla), was dry and lacked sweetness. Perhaps a bitter chocolate fan would like it better. Overall, the service was great. The atmosphere was great. The food, however, was sorely lacking in flavor in every dish.

We had a great meal on the terrace. Great selection of delicious Tapas, properly made by a chef. Range from lamb to cod. Staff very friendly, gave great advice and were attentive. Wine was excellent and well priced. Definity will go again.

Ate here just by chance and this really didn't disappoint! Amazing service, including the chef coming out to explain contents of a dish to a concerned customer who was allergic to nuts!! We had 4 tapas dishea between the 2 of is which was more than enough! Prawns on padron peppers, liver and onions (not everyone's favourite but absolutely amazing), black pudding with goats cheese and apple, seared tuna with feta and hot chilli jam (very spicy...nice) All complemented with red and white wines with a total of €50 Can highly recommend and we'll be going again!

Really good / très très bon / muito muito bom !!! A really good restaurant in Tavira. A must do ! Tapas restaurant so you should choose 2/3 dishes per person. We took 11 dishes in total for 4 person. All the selection was really good. You can count around 20/25€ per person with one bottle of wine and water. The waiter was really nice and sympathetic. He speaks French also (can be helpful for some description).

We were very keen to find somewhere authentically Portuguese. Copos & Petiscos is absolutely that place and so much more. It feels like you’ve been invited to the table of a local family who are allowing you to eat all of their secret recipes, which are all absolutely delicious. Do not and I repeat do not miss out on the meat sandwich. In fact don’t miss out on any of it. Lovely people, lovely food and lovely atmosphere.

Authentic tapas experience and everyone should definitely go for it! If you’re going there as a couple, go for “fartas” (Highly recommend it!) on their menu and we had rosé sangria (a must try!) And their servers are very friendly ☺️

This was one of our favourite restaurants. We probably ordered too many dishes but the waiter did recommend what he thought was suitable but we were just curious to try them. I think if you have younger and picky eaters maybe not the most ideal menu but for anyone adventurous, I would certainly recommend as a must visit restaurant. You get to grill the chorizo at the table which was interesting. If we had more days, we would have returned to try different dishes and repeat others. I thought I had left a review last year because our first visit was phenomenal — but apparently I forgot. We came back this year, and it was just as good… maybe even slightly better, if that’s possible. The food is absolutely delicious and the service is excellent: friendly, attentive, and perfectly paced. They keep things moving and everyone served, but never make you feel rushed — exactly what you want for a meal. The black pig cheeks are unreal — we each had one and then couldn’t resist ordering another to share. The codfish balls were so good we ended up ordering extras too. We may have overeaten, but it was impossible not to! Can’t wait to come back again next year!!!

A really fantastic experience of fabulous Portuguese dishes with the finest ingredients coupled with a great local wine selection - all come together with first class service 😋. Family friendly, would highly recommend for those looking for true food experience in Albufeira. (P.s. gluten free not an issue here, caters for all).

We visited Copos & Petiscos in October 2025. This is with no doubt Albufeira’s best restaurant! We were served delicious tapas made from traditional Portuguese dishes. Everything was presented with perfect timing and beautifully arranged. The service was attentive, charming, and very accommodating. Prices much less than expected for this level of gastronomy. Highly recommended, especially for those looking to escape the typical tourist traps for a while.

Hands-down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had – not just in Portugal, but in all of Europe. We were so blown away by this restaurant that we went twice in the three nights we spent in Tavira. Every dish was exceptional. The octopus was to die for – cooked to absolute perfection, tender and flavorful, quite possibly the best we’ve had in Europe. The seabass was equally outstanding. We also tried the oysters, which were out of this world – bursting with freshness and topped with the most delicate mix of spices and caviar. The goat cheese and beet salad was fresh and delicious, and the octopus appetizer, served in a sizzling clay pot, was next-level good. For dessert, the lemon meringue pie and chocolate mousse were the perfect sweet ending to what was easily the best meal we’ve had in Portugal – and one of our top three in Europe. We even asked to speak to the chef to share our compliments – he was incredibly warm and generous, and treated us to a complimentary glass of port. Pro tip: make a reservation. This place was packed every night – and for good reason. An absolute must-visit when in Tavira! And kudos to the serving staff, they were attentive and kind.

Food is excellent. Would recommend making a reservation regardless of night/time of year—we made a reservation the night before for a Tuesday night in November at 6:30 pm. I doubted the reservation would be necessary at that time/day/season but soon after we were seated we saw several people without reservations turned away and the restaurant soon after was completely filled. We had a great time.

We had to made reservations a night before, and so glade we didn’t miss out this wonderful dining place. The food was so delicious. We had daily special claims with garlic and cilantro, we ordered a bottle of red wine they recommended, had lamb with mashed potatoes that comes with delicious salad with mango/ pomegranate and olive oil, duck confit with roasted potatoes. This restaurant is by far the tasty and all meet over the standard. The service was great and so friendly. If I came here first night I think I would go back for my rest of the stay in Tavira. (3 nights in Tavira) Note: we had travelled last 5 weeks from Spain (Barcelona, València, Ronda,cordoba and Sveilla), by far this one delivered everything, food, service, atmosphere and even the price is reasonable and not overly charged. The restaurant is on the prettiest street in Town. Was it as good as I expected after reading all the glowing reviews? Definitely not. The service is amazing, the atmosphere too but the food has not lived up to my expectations. I had cod papilotte, tuna tar tar and a pear tart for desert. Everything was good but not five stars kind of good. There is better food in town in my opinion and you don’t have to book those places a day in advance.

We had dinner here while visiting Tavira, and really enjoyed the outdoor dining vibe — lively, yet cozy. The oysters were absolutely fresh and paired beautifully with salmon roe. Definitely the highlight of the evening. I had heard that Tavira is famous for its octopus, so I came with high expectations. Unfortunately, the dish here was disappointing — the texture lacked the bite and bounce I’ve enjoyed in other parts of Spain and the Mediterranean. Overall, still a restaurant I’d consider returning to, especially for the atmosphere and starters — but next time I’d be more selective with the mains.

An absolute gem! We had an incredible dinner at Mavala — hands down one of the best Italian meals we've had in a long time. The hospitality was outstanding from the moment we walked in. The waiter was exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain every dish in detail and even recommending the best options based on what we liked. It felt like dining among friends. The food? Simply amazing. This is real, authentic Italian cuisine — pure, honest, and full of flavor. Everything was homemade, from the delicate ravioli to the rich cheeses. You could truly taste the care and craftsmanship in every bite. It genuinely felt like being in Italy — not just because of the food, but because of the warm atmosphere and the passion everyone in the restaurant brings to what they do. Compliments to the chef for creating such delicious dishes. The quality was outstanding, and the entire experience was unforgettable. We can’t recommend Mavala enough. If you’re in Faro and love Italian food, this place is a must.

Everything was delicious. My photo of the pasta I had didn’t come out properly but what I posted instead was the empty plate… I polished it off. Ya … exactly. I regret not using the bread to soak up what was left hehe. The flavors of both the main dish and dessert are subtle but a delight. The portions are perfect for someone who doesn’t want to get overwhelmed by massive portions that leave you feeling guilty for wasting food or stuffing yourself so it no longer becomes a pleasure. The service is efficient and the vibes are cozy. I really enjoyed the peace and quiet after a hectic day. The manager/chef was really warm and sweet; I hope I was able to express how much I enjoyed the experience because in person I tend to be brief and less expressive. If not, this review should hopefully make up for it. Strongly recommend checking this place out.

We arrived without the reservation and had to wait an hour until there was a free table. That was no problem for us. Food was great! We had pasta with pistachio and shrimp and cod fish with cauliflower. Dessert and drinks. Service was really good. It was all together 80€. We enjoyed our dinner.

We ate lunch here without a reservation on a Saturday around 2pm (in December). Hubby had the "White Menu" which included a starter plate, a main plate and a second plate as well as a wine pairing for each plate. The chef chose the menu, which would be unknown to us until we got it. I had the cheese plate and a glass of red wine (and tasted hubby's food of course). Every single item we ate was absolutely delicious. The chef studied under a Michelin star chef, which is evident. The portions were perfect, the service was outstanding, and the food was amazing. Afterward, we split a tiramisu and had a grappa each. The tiramisu was creamy, not too sweet and perfectly balanced. The grappa was delicious as well. Cost was $85 and well worth it. We already have dinner reservations for tonight. Highly recommend!

I was a solo diner and treated myself to the tasting menu. The service was appropriately attentive, the wine delicious and the food outstanding. The sea bream and the veal were perfect. I don't write a lot of reviews and this is my way of saying thank you! It was a wonderful evening and I could not have been happier that I discovered this restaurant.

In general food here was delicious. Creamy garlic prawns with monkfish was very delicate, full of taste and perfectly made. Duck was soft and medium rare. Only garlic cream soup was little bit too ‘fishy’ for me. It’s hidden in a small cosy street away for the party, but still in centre :)

The Staar is a hidden gem. The food is out of this world. I had the tomahawk and it was by far the best I’ve ever had. We ate here twice during our 10 night stay and I honestly wanted to visit more to try the rest of the menu. We were a party of six and everyone felt the same as me. This was the best restaurant we visited. Thank you to all your staff who made our visit’s so special.

Expensive, but worth every penny. Upscale gastronomy and you still get your fill. No frills. Probably the best tuna tartare of my life and great local cuisine with bacalhau à bras and tender steak. An insider tip in a small alleyway without the tourist crowds one street over.

Absolutely excellent food served here...a.sharing platter is a great way to try a few different things at once, generous fresh burgers and Delicious salads prepared with a 'certain touch'. Cannot fault anything. They deserve all the success in the world.. and the queues at lunch time are worth the wait!

Very friendly owner who assists you in choosing a meal if you can't decide. We had a variety plate and a salad with different kinds of fish. The "Tuna Ham" was definitely the highlight for us. The "fish-Pate" was something completely new for us, and we really liked it. On top of that, there is a huge variety of canned fish you can choose from to buy and bring back home. Some of the cans are beautifully wrapped and are an eye catcher.

The food here was delicious. Portions were great, prices were suuuper reasonable. The area is knows for its canning history so it was nice to get to experience some of that. The bruschetta was to die for, as was the Tuna ham. I’d come back here 100x over. Staff were polite, service was quick, and while the restaurant was small and busy, it didn’t feel too crowded.

We enjoyed some good food in this premium and pretty snack bar. Focussed pretty much on tinned fish it has a huge range and a simple menu. You can use the menu or choose a tin and they will serve this to you. Very reasonable prices.

What a cool place! Every dish is like a gourmet meal, made with the canned fish on the shelf. The tuna salad was so fresh and the sampler plate had so many unique presentations and flavors. The wine was so cheap! Definitely making another visit here. The prices were very reasonable. Edit: had to come again and try different dishes. The grilled sardines and anchovies were so good!!

The food was delicious. I had the sampler plate that came with mackerel, spicy sardines, pate and tuna ham. I was pleasantly full at the end of my meal. The service was very quick and they explained everything to me. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in trying tinned fish. They were also very welcoming to a couple that wanted to have some dishes made with no fish.

Lovely experience! Loads of delicious gluten free options, one of the few places I got to try smoked chouriço! The staff are fantastic and the environment really friendly and homely! Super polite and generous, I loved it!

A fantastic place with devine food. We had lunch every day except Sunday as they were closed. Richardo and all the staff are terrific people. Great food and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Must try the fresh cheese. I’ve never tasted anything like it. Apparently it’s locally sourced and made from these special goat’s milk found in Azinhal area. Staff were excellent.

Excellent food and experience. Our waiter was delightful, kind, and patient. The food was fresh and the chef even gave gluten free bread to my wife since we struggled to find gluten free bread in the grocery stores. I hunky recommend this place and it’s very affordable. It’s a secret how good this place is and it’s much much better than Bruncheria.

Excellent service with Fernando Only stopped for a toastie/light lunch as there was a Mediterranean food festival to visit later. Red wine sangria very good also. Both reasonably priced. Table next to us ordered a chicken salad and we're also really impressed with their food/service.

Lovely restaurant for lunch….we both had a fabulous meal today….all the produce was fresh and delicious and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I had the crepe which was cooked perfectly and my husband had the burger which he said was one of the best he has had in Portugal. We will definitely return 😄

This is hands down my favourite restaurant in Tavira! The food is so fresh and flavourful that we ended up eating here twice during our short 3 days stay in Tavira. Definitely try their mozzarella bruschetta, grilled seabass and avo/quinoa salad. All so so delicious and made with fresh ingredients. And their service is absolutely lovely! Overall a wonderful experience

Our best dining experience in Albufeira by far! Definitely worth the 200€ we paid for a 3-course menu and drinks for two. Excellent cuisine with perfect wine pairing. All the dishes were presented with so much love for details and looked as delicious as they tasted. The service was just as excellent. They even provide you with blankets if you underestimated how cold it can get on a summer night on top of Albufeira (as we did). The stunning view across the city and the sea complements a perfect evening.

We did the wine pairing and it was beautiful paired with each individual meal. We were also stuffed although the idea of the food being small the portion sizes were very good pretty much perfect. The food and the wait staff were amazing! The food was delicious but in my opinion not worth the price. The desert was the only let down of the day, every other course was fabulous. The view was amazing tho the website never mentioned that it was beside a pool in a resort and sun-beds of hotel guests, luckily we went late in the evening so the people at the pool were finishing up and it wasn’t too loud.

Antonio welcomed us warmly to this very unique restaurant in an old windmill. The view from the small windows reaches from the old town through the beach and the hills. We had an amazing evening with a very delicious 3-course-Menue. We will definitely come back to this amazing place!

Very cool place to have a healthy and good poke bowl. We walked quite a bit from our place to visit it and it was worth the walk. Very friendly service, and possibility to individualze your bowl to the prefered ingredients - although the selection is great already. 😃👍 We can recommend it.

I recently visited Poke Lagos and had a great experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that made for a truly satisfying poke bowl. The staff were also excellent, providing friendly and efficient service throughout my meal. While the ambiance was just okay, it was still a comfortable and clean space to enjoy my food. If you're craving fantastic poke in Lagos, this is definitely a spot to check out. The outstanding food and great service more than make up for the average decor.

Was there with my wife and son for early dinner. We were greeted by a friendly staff, one who took the order and the second who made the bowl as the order was being taken. The fastest prep I would say. We sat outside as it was comfortably warm. We all liked our food, it was very fresh and tasty, the sauces that were recommend were very good too. I would definitely recommend the place.

I always enjoy a good Poke dinner. Both meals were very fresh and tasty. One meal was salmon poke while the other was the salmon and Tuna poke. 2 large bowls and 2 fruit drinks cost 38 Euro. No complaints. Update: May 2023. Always tasty and fresh food. I have a hard time believing they shut down as often as they do. It was our third visit that we finally found them open. Service was very slow, I'm guessing they were training new staff. It took so long I thought they lost the order. Friendly staff.

We love the food here! Been coming for many years and honestly, I feel like they have the best pizza in the world. We are always excited to come here when we are on holiday. Thank you for all the amazing food! And see ya next time ;)

What can I say? It will hardly get any better than this. At a price though, but worth it once in a while. It was my second time here. I tried to get a table during the F1 race, but then it was fully booked (it happened to be my birthday...) I have not tried any restaurants with Michelin Stars in the Algarve, but I doubt that they will be any better. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This Michelin rated restaurant should be a Michelin star restaurant. The overall experience with service, the courses, the food and the presentation are outstanding. The price of the fixed course menu is quite reasonable for the quality you are receiving. The pork and the beef course were especially fantastic.

Lovely place, excellent food and super friendly staff! You can choose from a fish, meat or veggie inspired menu. We took the meat menu, which had about 7 dishes. Each one was very fine dining, our compliments to the chefs for their amazing work. Equal compliments to the super friendly staff, that made it an amazing service. Fantastic wines also! Would highly recommend, and would be surprised if Al Quimia does not get a Michelin star soon. Easy 5 stars!

Restaurant is beautiful and service was impeccable. All dishes were served by two waiters at a time, our drinks were constantly filled and the staff was attentive and kind. We had the Earth menu which was meats, some dishes were very nice but most were overly complicated and not nice at all, there was very little meat in them all and the meal took almost 3 hours as there were so many courses. really wished the food was as delicious as the service was good!

This is in the top 3 meals I’ve ever had. Top notch service, while somehow being completely unpretentious. The food is unbelievable - inventive, rich, differentiated. The wine pleased this hard to please couple! Unreal experience. Will recommend to anyone who wants a quality meal and understands good service.

Such a wonderful experience, from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. The staff made the meal a memorable experience, the food was truly amazing. We dined at this restaurant last night and me and my friend can both agree it was one of if not the best dining experience we’ve ever had from start to finish the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and attentive and we loved how they showed their personalities a bit. Of course a massive thankyou to the chefs as well watching them cook and prepare the food only added to the amazing experience 10/10 would highly recommend.

The sardines got my attention. I like them from the grill. So we had a great lunch, friendly staff and good quality food. The owner brings energy to the place. Only cash payment!

The salad is a work of art and somehow they are able to remove 99% of the bones in the grilled fish. Simply excellent food. The place is owned and run by an extended family. Word has it that it will close in 2025 due to the sale of the building. Visit now while you still can!

We dined here in May so I searched for this business in Google Maps in order to leave a review. The business was not on Google Maps so I added it, left its first review in Google and uploaded a few photos. We enjoyed a very friendly service and juicy sardines for just 4.50 Euros (as shown in one of my photos)! Every other place in town told us that either sardines were out of season so they didn't have any or were charging 2-3 times as much. This is a short walk from the town centre on the way to the embarkation point for the ferry to the beach.

Unassuming but lovely! Owner is very friendly and passionate about her food. African prawn starter and the Portuguese Pork Main were fantastic! Huge salads and all complimented with friendly service and lovely red wine! Would definitely recommend.

Incredible disappointment after reading all the "great" reviews. First off, the waitress/owner (?) was really patronizing and pushed for the African flare shrimp dish and certain fish, and it sounded as if there were the other no options available. She was short and abrupt responding the questions about the menu and the wine. She boasted about her salads being the best in the world and same about the wine. They truly weren't. The wine was just ok and the shrimp dish a total disaster. I wouldn't even call it a miss, because it had nothing African about it. It didn't resemble any cuisine whatsoever, just shrimp thrown in a hot oil dish that made the garlic burn. No spices,no aroma,no flavor. For $15. The sliced bread was strange, warm but not realy toasted, neithet fresh tasting either. I was charged $1.50 for a glass of sparkling water - she took the bottle off the table staying that it was $5 if I wanted the whole bottle Shocking experience, who would ever come back for a rude and arrogant treatment...

Fresh fish and sea food, delicious. Also the salad 🥗 was marvelous and non-standard.

Had a nice vegetarian burger 🍔. Came out of the kitchen really too hot to pick up or eat (including the bun) and had to wait for it to cool down before I could take a bite (maybe put the bun on after it's cooked). Otherwise was tasty and went well with the fries 🍟 and dip sauces. One small criticism, not a fan of the melted (American style) cheese on top, but that's just my personal tastes. Would go again

Located right in the city center, this restaurant has a pleasant interior and the staff is both professional and friendly. The service was fairly quick, and the dishes were served promptly. While the food is presented as healthy, it's also quite tasty. Overall, it's a giid option if you're in the area, looking to eat something quick but healthy as well.

What you will get at O Noel is very good food at a very good price. What you won't get is fine dining. Our chicken and squid dishes were very good, but there was nothing notable about them other than the generous use of flat leaf parsley on my chicken. The house red wine and port were pretty bad. One might fault the service because the server wasn't very attentive, but it was a slow Tuesday evening in early March, and friends/customers she'd known for 23 years were chatting her up. Although there's nothing 'five star' about this place, we'll go back when we want simple food at a good price in Tavira.

Delicious food! My boyfriend and I tried the Algarve-style squid for the first time and the server even showed us how to properly eat them. The staff is so welcoming and helpful, definitely recommend!

Very pleasant dinner here last night. Served efficiently by Alex who cares about his guests enjoyment of the food. We did not have reservations but arrived about 6 so early enough not to have a problem being seated. We could have sat on the beautiful patio overlooking the river but chose a cozy table inside to avoid the sun. We ordered the hummus, chicken and swordfish all excellent. We don’t order dessert every night but the entrees were so nice we splurged and had lime cheesecake served with fig jam, superb!

Across 10 days in Portugal where we were in Lisbon, Nazare, Sintra, and Tavira, this was our favorite restaurant; so good, in fact, we went twice which I've never done at a restaurant while traveling. Meal 1: We got 3 appetizers (everything sounded so good!). We had the Goat's cheese gratin, garlic bread, and fried shrimp. The goat cheese was amazing, and this comes from someone who doesn't like goat cheese. The mix with the apple and caramelized almonds was amazing. That on top of the garlic bread was a great pairing. The fried shrimp was the best shrimp we had on our trip. For the mains, we got the fresh cod and Tomato and basil devil gnocchi. The cod was the best fish we had the whole trip. Flakey and the topping was amazing. The gnocchi sauce was fantastic. Dessert we had petit gateau and chocolate mousse. The mousse was average but the gateau is a must. If you go and don't get the gateau, you're doing yourself a disservice. Meal 2: we got the vegetable kakiage, Cod and mango cheviche, and fried cuttlefish. The ceviche was a beautiful blend and so perfectly balanced. The kakiage is like a dream version of tempura. The fried cuttlefish was the best small trips of fried fish we had all trip. For mains, we got the fish again (it was that good) and the prawn and pineapple curry which had a similar sauce to the gnocchi and were delicious. Dessert we got the gateau again (and asked for the recipe it was so good) and the lime cheesecake which had a very strong molasses taste in the jelly if that's your jam (food pun). Drinks were also great, especially the homemade lemonade and sangria. Very cute vibes and very affordable. Even with the absurd amount of food we got each night, it came out to ~50€ per person and could easily have been closer to 20€ if you get a normal portion of food.

Very pleasant outdoor seating at the riverside, creative menu with the option to share multiple small dishes, all were tasty except the tuna tartare with tzatziki. (I doubted the freshness of the tuna) highly recommend the mushrooms 🍄‍🟫 the croquettes and the goat cheese.

A very nice spot for dinner. Right on the river. We were up on the roof terrace which was a lovely setting. The food was decent. Well presented and good flavours. Some interesting twists on dishes. The chicken I ordered could have been a bit hotter, I assume it had cooled whilst waiting to be sent up from the kitchen. A little pricier than so of other restaurants around, however still not a bad price.

We called for a drink after a trip to Tavira and this is a great location. Service was good, but not overly friendly. They also had no Bacardi despite it being on the drinks list. Prices were a little high - but you are paying for the location. We called early afternoon mid-week and there were plenty of tables available, but I can imagine reservations are needed on an evening or weekend.

We had tapas but the main menu for meat etc was very tempting, as I don't really choose fish or vegetarian meals I didn't really look to see what was on offer but for the tapas we had some prawns, duck, mushrooms along with bread etc so a little bit of meat, seafood and vegetable and it was really quite filling and very good, we were too full to look at what there was for dessert. The service was good, drank only a large beer but plenty of other things to drink. We got a table without a problem or waiting time but I would have booked if we were a group, we were only a couple. We would have gone again but we were only away for 3 nights and this was our 2nd night. A nice spot by the river well worth the visit.

Booked a table by the river, it was fantastic. Great food (had duck lasagna, grilled swordfish), but the appetizers were even better (garlic bread and duck croquettes). A bit more expensive than other places around but worth it.

Very good starters with the mixed plate and the tuna. Octopus as main course was special, the sirloin steak was good. Service was friendly but we waited some time to get the food and the bill. 4/5, would recommend.

Drinks pre meal elsewhere. We wished we'd booked to eat here. The tapas.menu looked amazing. In face were hoping to return Monday as they dont open Sundays. The house red and Portuguese wine was lovely and we are fussy. The service very attentive and friendly. We are definitely returning before our flight home.

The wine options here are great there is something for everyone. The food was incredible, so delicious. Would recommend the burrata with pesto and ham, the garlic prawns and the garlic mushrooms. The wine was delicious and we sat upstairs, there was a good vibe and the waiter was very helpful with wine choices and tapas options Overall would definitely recommend to anyone visiting faro especially on a colder or rainy evening as there is indoor seating.

We visited Flavour Café for breakfast and on another occasion for an evening snack, and both visits were great. It’s in a super convenient spot near the ferry to the beaches, with seating inside and outside. The choice of food is wide, torrada, tosta, bagels, pancakes, croissants and everything we tried was delicious. Coffee is excellent too: cappuccinos are served with a nice artistic touch, and the espresso was one of the best I’ve had outside Italy. The service was friendly and attentive, especially the evening waitress who made us feel very welcome. A little gem in Tavira!

Great space, cozy and confortable coffee shop to chill and take breakfast. Very busy in the morning for breakfast and as soon as is packed you start seeing a bit of the “service problems” ( something common in small places). Even though was a busy morning all the staff was smilling and greeting everyone with a great smile.

Loved the omelets, cake, toasts so much we ate there 5 times in a 5 day period. Outstanding breakfast!! And the gelato!!

We called for a coffee and something for breakfast. The food was good, and whilst a little expensive the portions were large. The coffees again were a little expensive, but again were large by local standards. The big issue for us was, despite it being relatively early in the day it was on the hot side of pleasant inside (and there were no empty tables outside) - the aircon wants setting lower or servicing.

A small and cozy restaurant opens in a narrow alley. Not selling normal touristic menu but offering unique and tasty dishes like baby squids with clams, orange beef stew. And the fried sweet potatoes sticks are the must try item. A hidden gem in Faro.

The food in this place was amazing. So authentic. The service top class yet humble, felt like home. Very attentive and smiles all over. I can't believe I haven't tried this place having been in Faro for 3 days now. Definitely recommend

I would give more stars if was possible. In a city where the food price is an absurd this restaurant is a real find. The place is charming and the waitress was very nice and suggested me to try the Rodrigo dessert when I asked if they had Pastel de Nata, it was a great surprise to try something new. The mussels were amazing and I wanted to try the mini squids, this is a well served plate with a good quantity of food. I was happy with my choice and I would immensely recommend this restaurant.

Jose was brilliant - very knowledgeable and helpful. It was lovely to find out a bit more about the place and his story. Food was fantastic - we had House vine and a few tapas dishes. The carrots were amazing as well as all the other food. It is small side way place but it has the real Portuguese spirit - I would recommend it 100%

Stopped by for a drink as they were playing live acoustic music. It is a cosy restaurant with a good ambience, and the yellow wall painting was a great choice.

This place was so incredible my friend and I went back twice during our stay in faro. Ana was absolutely lovely and recommended dishes as well as places to check out in Faro. We ordered the cuttlefish calamari, the fried shrimp witu garlic (recommended by the staff), as well as pica pau a cruzeiro and started with a lettuce and tomato salad. It was all delicious and flavourful and I would 110% recommend this place for tapas. We came back a second time to have the cataplana (it did not disappoint) as well as the anchovies on garlic toast. Thanks for a wonderful dining experience!

Cool casual (sort of grungy) little spot just popped in for a happy hour cocktail which was super cheap and just what we were looking for. Everyone was sitting outside. Not great views or anything, and most people were smoking. But it was close to the hotel and nice and quiet. This seemed like it may have been open late into the morning hours as the noise coming from this area went all night long.

Decent little breakfast spot. Tourist prices and not many options but the outdoor seating is worth it. Note, the "rusk" is not rusk, it's a sourdough piece of toast.

Service was wait good and the staff are really nice and polite. But my Seitan sandwich had only a friend Seitan with bread. Very rusty and dry to eat. Therefore, do not recommend!

This cozy brunch spot is a delightful find, just five minutes from the beach. The limited seating adds to its charm, creating a peaceful atmosphere perfect for a relaxing meal. The friendly gentleman who served us made the experience even better. The food was impressive, especially our healthy goodness meals, the flat white was tasty. It's a fantastic choice for vegan lovers, offering a variety of delicious options. Overall, it's a lovely little place to unwind, only problem the seating outside is very limited. What we ordered: Fresh Orange Juice Flat White Yogurt Brekkie Jar - (Vegan Yogurt, with jam, fruit fruit & granola). Acai Bowl - (With Acai, bananas, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, granola & chia).

One of the best vegan burgers we have ever had! Highly recommend this cute little vegan cafe/restaurant. Great service and the food tasted incredibly fresh. We ended coming back again because the food was so good. Waited a little longer for our order the second time as it was a little busy but very much worth the wait. Recommend the Sriracha Burger or the Sugar rabbit burger. They had some great baked sweet treats inside too!

Excellent food all around. Vegan has never tasted this good, and this is coming from someone who does not enjoy vegan. We are here for a few days in Albufeira and have come here 2 times in 2 days - I will be going back every single day until I leave. So far, we have had the spicy burger, the açai bowl, lasagna, no-tella pancake, overnight oats, and various drinks. Everything was sooo goooodddd 🤤

This little café quickly became one of my favorite stops on my morning walks in Albufeira. Conveniently located in the Old Town as you head toward the Marina, it’s right on the path of my daily trek from Praia de Oura to the Marina. By the time I reach it, I’m ready for a pause, and the wonderful aroma of freshly baked brownies, cakes, and pastries is impossible to resist. The coffee here is outstanding — they serve Illy, one of my favorite Italian brands, and every cup is consistently rich, creamy, and full of flavor. It’s the perfect energy boost, and for me, Illy is always a mark of quality. As for the sweets, I instantly fell in love with the decadent brownies and the indulgent chocolate cake. Beyond that, the menu also includes a great selection of vegan and gluten-free options — from colorful smoothie bowls to fresh juices — which makes it a versatile stop whether you’re after a treat or something lighter. The café itself is small but inviting, with a handful of tables on the terrace outside, ideal for people-watching, and additional seating inside. It’s not overly large, but the atmosphere is warm and never feels cramped. All in all, Sugar Rabbit Kaffé is a true gem in Albufeira. Whether you’re passing by on a morning walk, craving an excellent cup of Illy coffee, or looking to indulge in something sweet, it’s well worth the stop.

I wanted to share my wonderful experience dining at Umami this evening with a friend. We started with the edamame with kimchi sauce and the milk bread, which was incredibly fresh, felt very homemade, and the flavour was elevated by the miso butter.The sushi was amazing, and Nikita was very helpful with adjusting some portions on the gunkan. The bluefin tuna tataki was simple yet delicious. For our main courses, the beef tenderloin was flavorful, though a bit chewy for my preference, while the shrimp ramen was perfectly served.For dessert, the cheesecake and pumpkin cream were unique and absolutely delicious!A special thanks to Rafael and Nikita for their exceptional service and making us feel at home. The sake and wine matched very well with the chosen food. My only small suggestion would be not to place empty wine bottles upside down, though it's just a personal opinion.Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely recommend Umami and return in the future.~ Jeet & Sukru

We had decided to spend a romantic evening with my wife at this restaurant, after an incredible difficulty with the reservation, involving phone calls, emails, and credit card requests. Unfortunately, due to a serious health problem that occurred to my partner, we had to cancel. I tried to contact the phone number several times without receiving any response, even hours before the scheduled dinner time. At this point, I thought of sending a cancellation email and the great surprise was that I was shamefully charged €30 on my credit card. I have never in my life in sixty years received treatment like this. I should point out that I have been frequenting Portugal for 10 years and live here in August and December. In addition to frequenting the best restaurants around the world, it was a disgusting experience and I hope that the owners of this company realize that taking €30 from a couple who have suffered a health disaster is also a moral affront. I repeat, shame on you now and forever for this scandalous gesture!!! Small note... the manager of the place called me back. I tried to clarify with him, and he laughed at me again on the phone... at which point I told him that our conversation could end there, furthermore for the €30 that I was robbed of, I was not even issued an invoice or a receipt to justify this disgraceful situation!!!!

Wow. The food here is a different level, a culinary delight!! We had a party of 11 so went for the "Mist of the West" sharing menu. Each 'Moment' offered something different, I liked the Edamame, Satay and Beef Robata but the sushi selection was amazing. The setting is beautiful and the service was great. Can't wait to go back.

We celebrated our Wedding Anniversary at Umami last night and went for the 6 course tasting menu with wine pairing as it takes the difficulty out of choosing something from the fantastic menu.I have to say the food was out of this world; as were the wine pairings; as was the brilliant service from Paolo and his superb team. The price is not cheap but actually when you factor in all the drinks as well, the ambience and the setting, it represents good value in my view.Can’t wait to go back.

When talking about our dinner here I speak of an experience. Due to the amazing taste sensations, the utterly friendly, helpful and enthusiastic staff and the stunning surroundings/atmosphere it is an experience more than just a meal. Absolutely the best dinner I’ve had in years! I loved all the different tastes in every single bite. Even my tea was out of this world (the tea was presented as if choosing a fine wine). It was a bit more expensive than we usually spend on dinner, but we found it was worth it.

What a beautiful dining experience. The food was incredible! Our veggie tempura was divine! We ordered broccolini (yum), and sushi platter (delicious). And the dessert and wine was superb. The attention to detail, taste and texture is fantastic. The wine was reasonable and lovely. And the staff was friendly, kind and helpful. What an amazing first dinner in Faro 🤩

Highly rated place and beautifully designed restaurant offering great views across the lake. We had three starters that where truly unmistakable, bursting with flavours and presentation, starters where exceptional. For the main we had two fish dishes that where Thai based, poor flavas in the sauce fish cooked really well, Shane the sauce was not as impacting as starters, for the money we spent at the place, definitely could of had a punchy tasty sauce. Cocktails where lovely and made great.

We stopped here for some pastries on a weekday in February. I ordered the pastel de nata, which was okay but didn’t seem to have as much cinnamon or vanilla flavor as others I’ve had in Portugal. We also tried a meringue-based dessert that looked great but ended up being too sweet for us to finish. That being said, the staff were incredibly warm, friendly, and genuinely outstanding, which made the visit a pleasant experience. It’s possible that we simply ordered items that aren’t their specialty. While the pastries didn’t quite meet our expectations, the welcoming atmosphere made it a nice place to stop by.

Super friendly staff! the pastel was so delicious rich sweet custard and and flaky crust as delicious as the big brand name ones in Lisbon and porto also the cinnamon are on the table so make sure you spot them and sprinkle some on top of your pastel it will definitely make a very delicious difference also the prices are really adorable !

Delicious juice and very tasty pastries. I had the special omelette, which was very well priced but I would not get again just based on preference. Lovely spot and I would recommend if you are in the area. Also had air con- very needed.

Came to this place twice because it was so good :) lovely service even tho it gets hectic on a Sunday morning. They spoke some English which made it a lot easier for me and my Portuguese. Lots of locals come here as well

Waited for 20 minutes and no service…went to bar to order and told that orders taken at the table. Looked around and others leaving and people just sitting and waiting….no food in sight or drinks. Sat down and waved at waiter and he acknowledged us but we continued to sit and wait. Looked in kitchen and it was a slow go and no real concern with the full house and poor service….eventually got up and just left.

If you are looking for a real Portuguese pavement look at the street, you get the atmosphere here. To the left there's a garage, to the right another café and the car street in front of you. I love this kind of setting. It is unpretentious. A lot of nice people passing. You can sit there for hours with a coffee or a beer and just relax and enjoy. Six tables outside, some more inside. Very clean and welcoming. Different kinds of of sandes (sandwiches) and toasts which have very nice and unexpected toppings. Very good, Cheese and a couple of other tapas, coffee, wine, sangria, beer, sodas. The prices are very moderate. Recommended! We will definitely come back!

Been a few more times and the grumpy girl doesn’t seem to be there any more. So it’s gone to 4 stars 😃 I’d still like them to be a little friendlier but it’s great value and lovely spot Mixed feelings about this place. Location is good and food ok. Went in the evening and had lovely cold beer brought by friendly waiter. The girl at breakfast quite unfriendly. Really didn’t feel welcome. Odd

An absolute gem of a family-run snack bar, back a block from the river front, which means it's less touristy, and serves authentic Portuguese food that you might not see in other places. Their Prego (garlic steak sandwich) is divine, such a simple concept, you have to taste it to understand it. How they slice the bread that thin and get the steak so tender is a mystery! We will be back.

Terrible service, average pizza, decent ambiance. The girl in the photo was rude and very unhelpful. Won't go back. €100 for two pizzas and two salads at pizza hut! That's very overpriced.

The staff is very nice, the food is OK (it’s Pizza Hut for Christ’s sake) but 30€ for a pizza????! I must admit that I ordered without looking at the menu. I just saw a picture and showed the waiter. I never imagined it would be so expensive.

i had prosciutto deluxe. It was the worst pizza I've ever eaten in my life. unseasoned and dripping with fat it was a medium size I paid 18.50 for it. terrible. I do not recommend to anyone

Said the delivery would be completed by 7. was still in the shop at 7:25. Then called the shop to ask about the whereabouts of my order. Lady who answered was extremely rude and made it clear that she did not want to talk. She then misinformed me that the delivery driver was in my street, 2 minutes away. The pizza then arrived at 8:07pm.

An oily, refrigerated pizza that is size of a hand. Best avoided if you can find an alternative (suspect that even Burger King would be better). Service was prompt.

A great find in one of the backstreets. We didn't book, but they managed to seat us. Very nice staff, even though they were really busy. Took their time to chat and run through the menu. We had bread and olive starter to share followed by the goats cheese salad (amazing flavours). The lamb tagine was fantastic. My wife had fish (can't remember the name) but it had prawns and mussels in a sauce. Very nice. We didn't have room for pudding. But the house white wine went down very well. It came to around €64. Which is more than we'd usually want to pay for a meal out, but it really was worth the extra. Sometimes you do get what you pay for

Just had an incredible dinner at this charming, family-owned gem in the heart of Tavira, Portugal. We started with the beet and goat cheese salad — a delicious mix of grilled goat cheese, beets, caramelized onions, garlic, and fresh greens. Every bite was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. For our mains, we had the stone bass and the seabream with shrimp and mussels. Both dishes were bursting with freshness and came out piping hot from the kitchen — absolutely fantastic. We ended the night with their homemade apple and berry crumble served with vanilla ice cream — the perfect sweet finish to a truly memorable meal. Highly recommend this spot if you’re in Tavira — authentic, delicious, and full of heart!

The food was good and the service was okay. The outdoor seating area is small but cozy. Payment is only possible in cash, and you receive a handwritten receipt.

We don't write reviews on restaurants that often but this one deserves one. My wife had the best fish she's had in her life (Stonebass) and that alone speaks volumes. I had the wild boar meatballs and pasta which was incredible. Everything was cooked to perfection and most importantly had the perfect amount of seasoning. Not only was the food and service amazing but it was incredible value. Just imagine, how often can you say you had the best fish dish of your life for 15 euros! (And we've eaten in many fancy expensive restaurants). We also had appetizers which were also amazing and great value. Anyways if you are around the Algarves, visit Tavira and more importantly treat yourself by going to this restaurant 😀

Really delicious. Our party had a nice variety of items, from apps, entrees & dessert. Everything was fantastic. The mussels, beet salad & asparagus were all great. The stonebass was perfectly fileted (for people that don't like bones) & veg was cooked to perfection. The meatballs & pasta were amazing as well. Will definitely be back.

Nice place, quite good prices. I took pasta and wasn’t convinced with the pasta quality. Sauce was pretty good 👍 lasagne 5/5. Highly recommended garlic bread with bacon and cheese as well as olives. 🫒

Very nice simple pizza. Perfect for lunch or a snack on your return from the beach. The crust of the pizzas we got was very similar to a wrap. Quiet crispy and flaky but very nice nonetheless.

A good selection of meals for both vegetarian and meat eaters. Food looked amazing when it arrived but unfortunately once my daughter started her dish which was spaghetti al pesto she found it was sat in loads of oil at least a third of the bowl was full. This is a dish she's ordered at other Italian restaurants and has never had this issue, she left most of it. The other dishes we ordered we enjoyed.

Great place went here in 2016 for the first time and returned this⁸ September 2024, pleasantly surprised how the food was just as good, great value for money and they make a great campari spritz, the Tiramisu was small to share but very tasty indeed, they will also do you hslf and half pizza, (as i don't eat much pizza but enjoy a couple of slices!!!!) great night had here, we sat outside on a lovely evening. Would recommend x

We came here for lunch on our first day in alvor - it did not disappoint! Absolutely fantastic service by a friendly and helpful team who engaged with us and our family. The food is exquisite and freshly cooked - they had everything we needed for our child too with baby seat, baby changing etc. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing. Carbonara was made with smoked ham. Something bloody delicious that I can’t remember the official name for had muscles, prawns and a big prawn on top. The crepe was sweet and refreshing and the tiramisu had that perfect combination of coffee and booze. The added grated chocolate on top gives the tiramisu an added crunch. I would recommend a visit.

Excellent service, pizza and priced! Another visit in July 2023. We didn't book and were lucky to get a table inside. Prices are very reasonable which may be why it's so busy so book if you can. Oh, I should add that the pizza we ordered was cut and served with every other piece moved to a second plate as we were sharing the pizza....very thoughtful. Highly recommended.

A great location, on the seafront. A small menu but a good selection and reasonably priced. I had a pizza which tasted authentic, made with good ingredients and my husband had a burger, cooked to perfection. Cocktails were fantastic and service was friendly.

The atmosphere was nice too — relaxed and charming, with a lovely seaside vibe that made the whole evening feel like a little vacation. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. After a hard day on the beach, retreat to Endless Summer for sangria and dinner. Great value, good food and lively atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed the Chicken Bacon Burger. Their smoothies and homemade ices are delicious and refreshing.

Nice little beach bar located right at Praia da Luz. We went there for some lunch snacks and absolutely liked everything we ordered. Service was nice and made us feel welcome while we enjoyed the beach view.

Hands down the best sangria on the beach! And with the ocean view, right on the boardwalk, location can't be beat. If you aren't lucky to get one of the few tables outside, there are a few tables inside. Pizza is a popular and tasty option to accompany your cocktail of choice. Burgers are large and look tasty. The nachos are a bit unique using Doritos in place of usual corn tortilla chips

We have been holidaying in Quarteria for over 35years and usually enjoy a visit to King of Grills but unfortunately not today. Waiter brought menu's over but then didn't check back in for 10mins to take drink/cover order. Another 10mins to receive drinks. It wasn't busy at lunch with just 2 other tables. Ordered food and not written down which inevitably meant my father in law got the wrong dish -pork belly rather than pork fillet - this was sent back and he had to eat his meal after we'd all finished. 2 of our party ordered chicken and this is definitely not the same as previous years. There was a red tomato based paste added after being on the grill. It wasn't pleasant. The basic frozen chips were over cooked and crispy with no potato inside. Another waiter (who we recognised) attended to us and brought us some free shots with the bill but unfortunately we won't be back.

Good selection of grilled meat as well as small selection of fishes. They offer complication-free, fuss-free, down-to-the-earth, humble local comfort food. Th steak was flavourful and ribs were okayish. The local garlic bread was very tasty. Service was correct and quite swift. Reasonably busy during rush hours, cramped seatings.

The best grilled chicken I've eaten in Portugal. Every piece was succulent and tender. The piri piri sauce is very spicy with a unique flavour. The accompanying sweet potato garlic bread and corn cakes are delicious. Well worth the drive from Faro, I will definitely dine here again.

Went looking for a great steak, and found it. Second visit, and it was as good as the first. Big selection of wines, and to top it off the coconut cheesecake was fantastic (and a huge portion!) If you avoid the premium options, the prices are really good.

The food was superb and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel at home from the minute we walked in. Some of the tastiest grilled chicken I’ve ever had. Will 100% be back.
