Nestled at an altitude of 2,445m, Chalet des Deux Lacs is a charming mountain restaurant accessible via a green run from the top of the 2 Lacs chair. Whether you choose to dine on the terrace with breathtaking views or cozy up by the fire inside, this authentic chalet offers a delightful dining experience. The menu features an array of delectable options including freshly-caught seafood and local meats paired with an extensive wine selection.
We were booked for new years eve dinner, and the staff and menu was fabulous and great value. The soup was fantastic!! Amazing menu Nils. Loved the snow mobile experience to the restaurant in the evening.

One of the best places in val Thorens! Why would you ask? Of course they have a diversified, good and solid menu, but the best is the restaurant’s team, they always make sure that you will feel welcomed and taken care of. the team always demonstrates dedication, kindness and joy to their guests. i strongly recommend to also book and enjoy their Wednesday dinner event! they will pick you up with bobcat or snowscooters, and you will enjoy the chalet with a even warmer and soft experience around a 3 courses dinner, and a live artist. Like any corporate, its culture comes from management, and Nils has been able to gather a team that shares his values. Thanks again for always taking care of us! Looking forward to next year

Overall a very good experience and we all loved the transfer! Food portions slightly small for our hungry teenagers but we asked for more meat for the fondue and chips and the staff were more than happy to oblige! We would definitely recommend the experience overall.
Louise D — Google review
Eating in snack bar. The most tasteless. Pasta with curry sauce for 12$ is basically just pasta. It has nothing to do with curry and it has no taste.
Lucie N — Google review
Best place we had food so far in Val Thoréns. Nice staff served us quite fast. Good local food. A bit pricey as there is in the valley. They serve both inside and outside. Salads and burgers for us but they also had traditional savoie food. WC inside. Short run to the city. Sunny.

You can't beat the ideally south-facing terrasse of Chalet des Deux Lacs, you simply can't! Excellent food, fast and friendly service and positively gargantuan portions. The slow cooked pork chop is particularly recommended.
Dmitry L — Google review
YUM delicious food & great atmosphere. Would recommend booking a table for lunch to avoid disappointment
Bea A — Google review
Fantastic “up the mountain” evening dinner for 6 people. Transported up to the restaurant by snowmobile from Val Thorens resort and then a wonderful evening with live music gentle enough not to interfere with the meal or conversations at the table. We had already visited the restaurant for a mid morning hot chocolate which had also been good. However the evening atmosphere was so great it was hard to think it was the same place. A wonderful event for either a special meal or just something a little different.

Fine dining restaurant
Les Explorateurs is a collaboration between two talented chefs who have created an adventurous cuisine inspired by the mountainous surroundings. The restaurant offers a gourmet dining experience in an elegant and inviting atmosphere, inviting guests to embark on a culinary expedition to discover new flavors. Visitors can expect exceptional service, a varied selection of delicious wines, and outstanding food that makes for a special and memorable dining experience.
One of the most extraordinary tasting menus we have ever experienced. Every aspect of our visit was impeccable, and we had an absolutely fantastic time. The staff were exceptionally kind and knowledgeable, going above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable evening. They were especially accommodating to a pregnant member of our group, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture.
Vasila M — Google review
An experience in one of the highest Michelin Star restaurants in the world (in altitude) is worth the price. 7 course meal with exceptional service and excellent atmosphere. The food was delicious and beautifully plated and served, and the cocktails were original and tasty.
Tom — Google review
This place is amazing! Came here for my boyfriends 30th birthday and the service was incredible, wine varied and delicious, and the food was second to none. Would really recommend if you’re happy to spend extra on something special.
Amy L — Google review
Great experience yesterday! Remarkable venue, and congrats on renewing your Michelin * to 2025!
Valeriy K — Google review
Lovely meal to finish off our holiday x Staff were very friendly and food was great x Did not disappoint
John G — Google review
A nicely decorated place with a good level of service. However the food was not up to our expectations. We were 4 people and ordered the expedition menu made up of 8 courses. The first 2 starters were really good, but they were followed by 2 dishes that were too salty, overpowering any other tastes. We only got through them by drinking large quantities of water. The next course was chicken meat which was dry and uninteresting. Of the 3 dessert courses, some were technically interesting, but only a few items were particularly tasty. Overall definitely a disappointment for a Michelin restaurant.
Dmitry Z — Google review
What a disappointment. So many things that went wrong that shouldn’t when you call yourself a one star Michelin restaurant. We sent two dishes back because the taste was just completely off and nobody even cared. Wine accompanying the food arrived after the dish, got charged an extra bottle of water on the bill, waitress barely spoke English. This restaurant doesn’t deserve the star at all. The only reason it’s getting two stars instead of one is the shuttle that took us back to our hotel and the very friendly driver!
P M — Google review
friendly and professional restaurant staff, decent dinning environment, live performance in the lounge outside the dinning room. High standard food quality but taste is okay. Personally I don't think it lived up to my expectation. At least, the dishes did not surprise me, considering their pricey cost.

Nestled in the heart of Val Thorens, L'Auberge des Balcons de Val Thorens - Restaurant is a charming retreat that perfectly captures the essence of alpine dining. With its cozy wooden decor and inviting atmosphere, this eatery serves up a delightful mix of Savoyard and Italian cuisine, making it an ideal spot for both lunch and dinner. Guests can savor their meals on a sun-drenched terrace while soaking in stunning views of the surrounding slopes.
This establishment truly provides a delightful dining experience. The cuisine offered is exceptionally flavorful and satisfying. It's evident that much care goes into the preparation of each dish. The friendly staff contributes to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend experiencing this wonderful place for yourself. The restaurant held a special charm, creating lasting memories. A particular waiter named Raphael, known for his exceptional service, enhanced each visit. His attentiveness and professionalism were truly remarkable. He consistently went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. This individual's dedication undoubtedly contributed to the restaurant's positive atmosphere.

Lovely place! They booked us in for a dinner last minute and we had a great time. The service was amazing, and the fondue was definitely worth it! Cocktails were also at a surprisingly good price for a ski resort restaurant. We were very pleased with the whole experience! ☺️
Nella N — Google review
Best place to eat in Val Thorens! Truly an amazing cuisine, with very good professional staff, meals delivered quickly despite the restaurant being extremely busy. I've ate multiple times at this place, every time being amazed by the standards of the food and the quality of service. Will return with utmost pleasure. 10/10

Great food, great service. Paul was a great host and took good care of us. Ordered raclette for 5, but could've fed 7, very generous servings

Best restaurant in Val Thorens. We ate there 5 days in a row during our vacation. The food is delicious (especially the duck dish) and the staff were nice and gave us a great service. I would definitely come back in the future when I’ll visit Val Thorens.
Yoni N — Google review
One of the best restaurants in Val Thorens. Besides a very cool staff that knows English really well, they have a big variety of food that includes also some vegan options (a rare find in Val Thorens). PS: most of the times is full especially in the evening, so make sure to have a reservation before.
Alin-Victor B — Google review
This has easily been the most terrible experience we had in Val Thorens. The staff was rude, disinterested and couldn’t care less if we lived or died. Waited 1,5hrs for the food only for it to be undercooked (also had uncooked egg whites in mine). The fondue came as a too-hot oil. When we tried to explain the problems, the waiters said they didn’t speak English (after speaking to us in perfect English all night). Just don’t come here. Save yourself the money

Located at a breathtaking altitude of 2,600 meters and perched on a panoramic terrace, La Fruitiere stands out as the gastronomic brasserie of La Folie Douce in Val Thorens. The restaurant offers a menu featuring signature dishes and a new selection of suggestions that blend tradition, modernity, and exceptional ingredients. With its smart and light interior, the restaurant provides stunning views from conservatory-style glass windows and ceiling as well as a spacious terrace.
We have been to La Fruitiere many times it is always great service and great food. William has been our server many times and he always makes us feel very at home. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant. Great vibes, great food.
Kat H — Google review
Here you pay just for the party experience with amazing view. The cocktail almond mai tai was so unusual! I’d repeat it many times! During party time the place is super busy so the food can’t have any changes or wishes ( like I asked for no onion and my partner asked a medium rare burger and they refused. They cook only in one way for everyone). So high prices only for location and party vibe but definitely no kitchen. Waiters were super positive and dancing around too :)
Alexa P — Google review
We had a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the ambiance was great and the staff made the experience even better. Definitely would recommend

We had an incredible dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, with breathtaking views. Our server, Noemie, made the experience even more enjoyable with her exceptional service. Thank you for such a memorable moment!

We visited with friends for lunch. All food choices were delicious: cheese platter, gyosas, veal tartare and stracciatella with focaccia for starters and lamb for main. 10/10. Service was on point and the views AMAZING!

Absolute disgrace. Awful place, Rude staff. I booked a table for 3 for Christmas day several months ago. Arrived, they tried to shove us on a table for 6 where there were already 3 people sat smoking, to tell us to share a table is ridiculous. They didn't help to fix the situation. Ruined Christmas for me and my teenage children as was going to be a special christmas meal. Absolutely disgusting I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place.
I D — Google review
The quality of this restaurant has really deteriorated over the last couple of seasons. For the second year in a row, sitting inside was cold and draughty and the diners nearest the door had to request blankets. The waiting staff are no longer friendly and welcoming and the experience is not what it used to be. There is a emphasis on timings and sittings so you will be warned about not ordering your meal promptly and you will be asked to vacate your table if you overstay your slot, whether you have had the chance to order desserts or not. We were even told to keep our cutlery between courses as there wasn't enough in the restaurant to give us a new set for our main courses! The food is still good but without the excellent service and convivial atmosphere, I am not tempted to return. There are better restaurants in the area.
Sarah L — Google review
One of the servers left a terrible impression - corpulent and dirty blonde hair. It was our first time and some of the group ate in the cafeteria nearby. The server was visibly upset and unprofessional, suggesting we all had to eat or we had to leave. This, despite the place being 2/3 empty. The other staff I encountered were courteous, pleasant, and professional.

Pizza restaurant
La Petite Ferme is a charming establishment with exposed beams and a wood-fired oven, offering delectable French and Italian cuisine such as fondue and pizza. The restaurant has garnered a reputation for its exceptional food, drawing patrons since 2015. Visitors can expect cozy ambiance and helpful staff who are accommodating to large groups. With its delightful atmosphere and outstanding dishes, La Petite Ferme remains a top choice among diners in VT.
We ate here three times out of our six nights in Val Thorens and every visit was amazing! We had three different meals each time, and each meal was the best food we had during our stay. The staff are very friendly and the service was efficient. I hope to come back here in the future!
Lola W — Google review
Having dined at Petite Ferme twice before and come away with fond memories, we returned with high expectations but unfortunately, our third visit was a significant letdown. From the outset, the service was markedly off-key. The waiters were clearly under pressure and this was reflected in their general demeanour, not ideal when dining with young children. A warm welcome and attentive service can make all the difference in a family-friendly resort, but sadly, that was lacking. The food was ok but my wife’s French onion soup was overwhelmed by a significant quantity of rosemary and was virtually inedible. Our children had the set kids’ meal, which included dessert, but the service was so painfully slow despite several acknowledgements from staff that they would "be right over" that we eventually gave up, paid via the QR code and left without dessert. We weren’t alone: several other tables were visibly frustrated, waving to get the staff’s attention in vain. Another couple gave up and walked out at the same time as us, having waited fruitlessly for service. The root of the problem appears to be chronic understaffing. A couple of waiters were trying, with limited success, to serve what must have been around 60 customers. We won’t be returning, which is a genuine shame. This was once a charming and reliable spot in Val Thorens, but the current state of affairs makes for a stressful and disappointing experience.
Steven H — Google review
Fondue was excellent and meat platter also. Pizza was to die for and the best pizza I think I've ever had. Lasagne was very good as well. We are here 5 nights out of the 7 and that was only because we couldn't get in the other nights as it's extremely booked up in advance...
John S — Google review
French medium rare is a bit alive. :) very good service and food. Recommend raclette.
Razvan S — Google review
Very good food, well priced too. Had the burrata, quatro stagioni and molleux for desert. Would go again.
Avinash N — Google review
Food was pretty terrible and overpriced. We should have gone to the super market and bought a sandwich. The pizza dough isn't bad but the toppings are worse than a frozen pizza. The fries were dry and stale. Staff were really friendly and atmosphere is good.
Craig O — Google review
Food was TERRIBLE. The sharing plate of garlic bread was laughably small, ALL the pasta between 3x dishes was horrifically undercooked, and the 4th dish, lasagna, was bland (and let’s face it probably microwaved)… shame, as a good atmosphere and location. In summary: Quite a pricey venue with perhaps the most disappointing food I’ve had in years. Avoid.
Patrick B — Google review
Ate here twice during my stay in VT. Cosy atmosphere and staff were really accommodating for a group of 8. Would highly recommend the ‘Montagnarde’ pizza.

John's American Restaurant in Val Thorens is a charming little spot that offers a delightful escape from traditional alpine fare. This Scandinavian-run eatery specializes in hearty American-style dishes, including mouthwatering burgers, spare ribs, and fajitas. The cozy atmosphere is complemented by friendly service from staff who are happy to accommodate special requests. Diners rave about the generous portion sizes—perfect for those looking to refuel after a day on the slopes.
We turned up without a reservation and was met by a friendly member of staff who made space for us, the service was great and all the staff were friendly and spoke good English. The food was very generous and great value for money. The restaurant was fairly small but had a great atmosphere. Thanks for a great time.

We wanted a tasty Mexican and that’s what we got! Fun staff and fun food. Do not expect the best quality food but it was ok. Great evening. Big portion of ribs, tasty wings, mixed steak and chicken fajita was good. Disappointing marguerita unfortunately as it was a pre-made syrup ice mix.
Glen E — Google review
Tiny place with big food! Our first night in Val Thorens, this place was just close to the hotel, and how lucky we are to stumble in. We ordered the xxl burger, Jalapeno Poppers and a mix of wings and ribs. Both were excellent! The burger is one of the best I've had. The portions were HUGE! Service is very kind. We'll definitely come back next time we're in Val Thorens.
Haim S — Google review
Best Burger in VT, and one of the best i ever eat. You must take the "John's Favorite Burger". Definitely I'll be back.
Jos M — Google review
Its totally authentic mid-quality American food with oversized portions. Danish/Swedish speaking waitress with a friendly attitude. We added extra beef to the chili burger and made other adjustments to the menu without a hassle. They served non-alcoholic beer, which is very rare in Val Thorens. 👍 Highly recommended for a fun night after a full day of skiing. Come hungry and be ready for excessive calories. Booking of a table is required. Very limited space.
Gorm E — Google review
We have been to johns a few times and love it every time! The burgers are mega and are just what you expect from an American burger restaurant. Decent prices and really good service.

What can we say ? Out of this world sums it up We visited Val Thorens in March for our usual Ski Holiday (we normally stop further down vally) and wanted something to eat our first night we went to a steak restaurant and was charged 51 euros for a steak so needed to find something cheaper and more value for money 💶. We found Johns on the second night and was not disappointed beer 🍺 was good so was wine but the food was out of this world ❤️. The mixed spicy chicken wings & Ribs was the best and closely followed by Johns burger. So good we ended up eating here 5 nights booking a table every time as we found out that it gets very busy. The staff were also amazing 🤩 always a smile and worked so hard from such a small area credit to everyone. The last night we ate was no exception they expressed their gratitude with a little tipple that was very welcoming. TILL NEXT TIME 👍🏼 The White Party of 4 (you’ll know who we are)

I am vegetarian but I came with my sister since she wanted a hamburger. I ordered the veggie burger and was very disappointed- what was advertised as a quinoa patty by the waiter looked like a cheep store bought weird vegetable patty (mostly carbs). I fully understand that a restaurant that specializes in meats wouldn’t necessarily put in the same effort into its vegetarian meals. BUT- why price the veggie burger the same as meat burgers? Paying 21 euros for that was a complete rip off. Also - the burger came with coleslaw inside even though it wasn’t presented like that on the menu… weird. I ate less then half and stopped because it didn’t taste good. The staff could tell something was wrong and asked but didn’t do much with what I told them. Nice place, my sister who eats meat enjoyed her meal- but no good vegetarian options.

Extended stay hotel
Résidence les Chalets du Thorens is a cozy ski-in/ski-out hotel with homely apartments, a restaurant, sauna, and gym. The dining options cater to various preferences, offering quick self-service meals and a more formal sit-down lunch. Nestled at 2400 meters altitude in the heart of 3 Vallees and just 750 meters from Val Thorens station, it provides breathtaking mountain views accessible by skiing, walking, or snowmobiling.
We were looking to stay in Val Thorens with our family in an appartment with catering service and on the slopes. Well this place has it all. It's very isolated, but there is a great scooter service bringing you up and down the chalet outside of the skilift hours (so needless to arrive early on day of arrival, cause you won't manage to get to the chalet till the lifts close -only downside). The restaurant is simply great, both for lunch as for dinner, and the rooms very spacious and comfortable. Already planning our next year's ski holidays!
Dries R — Google review
I don't generally give poor reviews, but this place was awful. It's convenience is is it's only redeeming feature. The service was dreadful, rude even, the food woefully average and the cleanliness poor. There are so many good restaurants in the Three Valleys, this is definitely one to miss.
Nick W — Google review
We arrived at 360 and made our way to the covered greenhouse like dining room and waiting to be seated as instructed on the sign. One waiter servicing that entire room and clearly busy so we waited approx 10 minutes with him showing us no regard whatsoever. After this time, we decided to seat ourselves on a table of 5 in the corner. After about another 20 minutes we asked a different waiter if we could have some menus.. where it was revealed that as we seated ourselves, the initial waiter had instructed his colleagues not to serve us. We could sit at the table no problem, but wouldn’t be allowed to order any food or drink. An absolutely bizarre incident, almost comedic. The main waiter clearly with an ego too big for serving customers but too afraid to come and front up the issue with us himself. We left and took our business to a lovely restaurant in town. Shambolic service, pretty embarrassing for the gent involved.
Tom — Google review
I’ve been to many restaurants in Val Thorens and Maribel, but this one was by far the worst. We ended up leaving due to the horrible service. There are plenty of better options around, so don’t waste your money here. The manager really needs to learn what proper management is - I'm not sure why she's in charge. Go to Chalet de la Marine. Great food and amazing service.
V A — Google review
Great location for pizza on the for the ski lunch break on the slopes. They have hand-made pizza, which is very good! There are more restaurants in the same building so you have a lot of options.
OMRI Z — Google review
About two years ago I gave this restaurant one of the worst ratings ever because it doesn't deserve anything else. And I wasn't the only one. They probably canceled the spot on google maps and re-established it to get rid off those bad ratings. Believe me, this is one of the worst restautants in all French ski resorts!
Adam S — Google review
A very rude person at the bar, I would say the owner of the cafe. Ordered large beers, delivered small 0.3l, charged as large. I say that they are small beers, he turns to me angrily in French even though he knows I don't understand him.
Kristina G — Google review
Ate in the restaurant just after mid-day, food was good, but it only arrived after a long wait and when it did arrive, 1 meal came 5 minutes after the others as did various other parts of the meal. To sum it up “terrible service” which at the prices charged, you leave feeling very disappointed, we will NOT be back.

Nestled near the Plein Sud ski area, La Ferme de Rosalie is a charming restaurant that embodies the essence of Savoyard cuisine. With its rustic mountain decor, it offers a delightful menu featuring traditional dishes like tartiflette and raclette, alongside hearty options such as rib steak and duck magret. The inviting atmosphere is complemented by friendly staff who ensure a warm dining experience.
It's a cosy restaurant with friendly staff and good food , we tasted the traditional ones but they serve pizza as well.Good wine and nice atmosphere. I noticed some ratings which are not accurate, you may ignore it. Please note that the traditional dishes have strong smells from the cheese but this is normal.

This restaurant has completely gone downhill. The service is terrible, portions have shrunk to ridiculous sizes, and they charge extra for any additions. Paying €55 per person and still leaving hungry is outright robbery. They brought the same amount of food for our group of 10 as they did for the table next to us with only 6 people. Never coming back here and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

We ate here 3 times during our trip. Everything tasted great and was reasonably priced (pizza, pasta, fondue). Génépi was dangerously good. The owner and awesome waiters are a bonus of this place. We will definitely come again!

Amazing food and service!!! I never felt so welcomed in a French restaurant in my life. The owner was very friendly and the staff were great too. Menu has a great variety and if you like cheese this is the place to go. From the pizza to the tartiflette we had loads of amazing cheese. The place is very cosy as well. It’s way better than the restaurants in the city center that I have been. I will definitely return there during my holidays and I recommend it to everyone.

Modern French restaurant
"Diamant Noir" is a modern restaurant with an unbeatable location offering amazing views of the village and mountains from its terrace. The chef's creativity shines through in the presentation and taste of the dishes, especially the signature truffled egg. The staff are hospitable and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable experience.
Outstanding dining experience. Fabian was incredibly courteous and had exceptional knowledge of the menu. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Val Thorens.
Mike S — Google review
The location is unbeatable. The terrace gives an amazing view on the village and the mountains. We had hesitated between this restaurant and a Michelin 1-star, and finally chose here based on the Google review. Given the price tag, I think the presentation is at the right level however the taste needs to be improved. Ordered a 6-course menu, including the chef’s signature dish of truffled egg. The taste of truffle was subdued and blended well with the egg but it did not add another layer to the palette. Lamb was well cooked but the sauce was unfortunately too salty. Crab in chartreuse sauce was an invention but not a taste easy to accept. The only dish that impressed me was the abalone (ormeau) and the home-made bread was very very good. Still an overall good experience but it was below my expectation

This was simply an exceptional experience! 👏The restaurant deserves its first Michelin * 😜, no doubts 👍

La Grange is an exceptional place, particularly for large groups. It offers great value for money, with wine priced at a very reasonable 20 per bottle. The waitstaff are outstanding and the fondue is a delectable mixture of French cheese and artisan bread. We visited this restaurant three times during our five-day stay in Val Thorens because it is convenient and simply the best spot to indulge in cheesy deliciousness.
Friendly staff, great portions, and quick service. We had half board for a week and were never disappointed. Highly recommended!
Nick V — Google review
This is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten in, in France. Upon entering the restaurant to make a reservation the owner manager rolled her eyes at me when she heard me say hello instead of bonjour. Nevertheless we made a reservation and had dinner the following night. The WORST french onion soup that I have ever tasted it tasted like used dish water, I nearly threw up on the table! The tomato soup is not soup but napolitana sauce that you should spread on the pizza. The service is horrible, I do not recommend this restaurant if you are used to having good food or good service.
Lara P — Google review
We were able to get a table here for a large group without a booking. The staff were nice and the service was pretty fast. The onion soup and goat cheese salad was fine though definitely not the best I tried.

Le Rendez vous is a charming rustic eatery with a spacious terrace that offers Italian-inspired dishes, breakfast, and cocktails. Located in St Martin, it's a popular spot for skiers to gather after picking up their children from ski school or to enjoy an extended apres-ski experience. The menu at Le Rendez vous is refreshed each season, offering a tour of world cuisine that will tantalize your taste buds.
Le Rendez vous was our first culinary experience in Val Thorens. Instantly we fell in love - so much so that we went back two more times in a week. We were regulars that week and felt like we met most of the lovely staff. Above all, the food was amazing, the staff very friendly, and the list of local wines excellent. This restaurant was our favourite establishment in Val Thorens!

Excellent restaurant in Val Thorens with views of the pistes. The tables are spaced out adequately and the restaurant is a good temperature. Often in ski resorts you are crammed in and the temperature is too high. The food and service is excellent. English is spoken to a good level and we didn’t feel rushed.
James E — Google review
Ordered the sea bass. It was unseasoned and very basic. Also had to return the rice as it was rock solid. After bringing this up we were still charged full price for the meal.
Callum G — Google review
Good atmosphere, but the food and service were disappointing. I ordered a filet de boeuf (saignant), and received it bleu and cold. I asked to grill it, and they returned it the same (still bleu)… Everyone ordered steak and received it the same. The mushroom sauce was also tasteless and cold. I asked for more mayonaise and the personnel laughed at each other. Never coming back…

One of the best restaurants in the Val Thorens. The staff is always friendly and so service minded! Location is great. The food is good and prices are reasonable in relation to other ski resorts. And finally the drinks are lovely. We are definitely coming back :)

Food and service here was absolutely fantastic. I had the Gnocchi and my husband the Carbonara and we both loved our food (though mine was the best!) We had a main each, shared a dessert and had 3 glasses of wine between us. The bill came to just under 70 EUR which is reasonable for Val Thorens. The ambience was great and they even had live music. Highly recommend!

Lovely friendly welcome. Great wine, well priced and amazing ambience. Beef carpaccio starter was delicious. My pizza with pepperoni was big, crispy crust and chewy middle…perfect! Excellent quality food and super tasty too. Had snails and entrecôte with French fries. While not cheap it has met the (rather high) expectations. Decent selection of wines too. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Very good service. Highly recommended.

We went 2 times here this week. The carbonara was ok. The croziflette was better. The meat of the esacalope was good but the pasta accompanied with it was a bit dry so coul have used more sauce. The profiterole was perfect. The pineapple carpaccio would have been better without the rum but maybe it is us because we are not a fan of rum. The service was very friendly. We saw a server eating a dessert that was not on the menu but we got it anyway. 1 disadvantage: there is only one toilet so chances are high you have to wait. You can easily access the restaurant with your skis.

Great place to savour local Savoyard specialties. The interior is very cosy and the food is delicious. They offer veggie versions of both raclette and fondue and they do cater for larger groups too.
Maria G — Google review
The restaurant is beautiful, well decorated and very cozy. However I feel like the food and the service doesn’t stand up for their price. The service was ok, the food is over charged for what you are getting. We had the fondue which wasn’t the best, the sides were too small for 2 people, and the quality wasn’t the best, it felt like they got their salami from the spa down the road. Which is a petty because it is a such beautiful place.

They were moments during the reviewed dinner I planned to rate this place with 1 star... 75 minutes into the meal, with no food yet on our table, and the manager showing no signs of interest in the situation, we were about to leave. La Joyeuse Fondue is a popular restaurant in Val Tho that offers a delightful dining experience. It is advisable to make reservations in advance due to its high demand. The ambiance of the restaurant is excellent, and the cuisine served is incredibly tasty. While the prices may seem steep initially, the generous portion sizes ensure that no one leaves hungry. Specializing in Fondue, Raclette, and Hot plates, La Joyeuse Fondue provides a variety of options for patrons to enjoy.
We ordered the traditional fondue, a charcuterie board, and rosemary potatoes. I was a bit skeptical based on the reviews, but the fondue was excellent., exactly what we expected. However, the potatoes were just boiled, making them quite plain in flavor. They would have been much better if pan-fried with the rosemary for extra crispiness. Service was quick, and we managed to get a table without a reservation, though I’d highly recommend booking in advance. The place has a charming, antique feel, which adds to the experience. The only downside is that, due to the setup, you’ll leave smelling like food.
Bruna E — Google review
Le Joyeuse Fondue: A Culinary Nightmare in a Cauldron Ah, Le Joyeuse Fondue. How you lured me in with promises of delightful molten cheese and convivial dining, only to subject me to a gastronomic horror so vile, I wondered if I'd wandered into a medieval dungeon's slop trough. From the moment the fondue pot arrived at our table, bubbling ominously like a witch's brew, I sensed doom. The aroma that wafted up was a noxious cloud—a potent mix of sour milk, burnt rubber, and what I can only describe as the scent of despair. My nose recoiled in self-defense, and I should have taken the hint to flee immediately. The cheese itself, if one could still call it that, had the consistency of coagulated sludge. It clung to the bread cubes like a death grip, refusing to let go as if it too wished to escape its grim fate. Each bite was a struggle against this viscous monstrosity, the cheese stretching in grotesque, sinewy strings that snapped back with the vigor of a malicious spirit. The taste—oh, the taste—was a cacophony of culinary abominations. Imagine a cocktail of expired dairy, fermented gym socks, and a hint of despair. It coated my tongue with a greasy film that no amount of water could cleanse. Every mouthful was a fresh assault, each worse than the last, until my taste buds staged a full-scale rebellion. To make matters worse, the accompaniments were as ghastly as the main attraction. The bread was stale, possibly sourced from the ruins of a forgotten civilisation. By the end of the night, I was left not only with a sense of profound regret but also a stomach churning with the fury of a thousand curdled nightmares. Le Joyeuse Fondue is not merely a bad dining experience; it is a portal to a gastronomic underworld from which few return unscathed. In summary, if you cherish your palate, your dignity, and your sanity, stay far, far away from Le Joyeuse Fondue. It's a descent into a cheese-infested abyss, and trust me—it's an experience better left untouched.
Holly B — Google review
We had a lovely meal at La Joyeuse Fondue. Don't pay attention to the negive reviews - I think Holly Bott's in particular is hugely inaccurate - perhaps she just fancies herself as a "witty" author. I'm glad we booked as the restaurant was full the entire time.
Mitchell S — Google review
Visited with 2 friends on Friday 29/03/24. Friendly staff and mostly nice food. The fondue however, was tasteless. It just did not taste of cheese in any way. Very disappointing considering this is their specialty, being a fondue restaurant. I was also disappointed on my arrival, when I asked if we could move tables to one further from the door, as I was literally sitting in the doorway of the restaurant, with a draft of cold air meaning I had to sit with my coat on. The waiter responded “there is not a draft, there is a heater above the door”. I therefore sat with my coat on for the duration of our stay.
Cory O — Google review
It was very busy when we went here, so would recommend reserving ahead of time. The restaurant has great atmosphere and the food was very delicious. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Val Thorens, La Fondue is a delightful haven for those craving authentic Savoyard cuisine. We had the Fondue du Beaufourtain (I can’t eat mushrooms). No doubt one of the best fondues we ever had. The cheese consistency was spot on and the flavor was great! Definitely very recommended.

La Fondue was fantastic! So good we came back three separate nights - once for raclette, once for meat fondue (with duck, beef and chicken), and once for cheese fondue with mushrooms. All served with generous bowls of green salad and potatoes. The staff are very friendly and hardworking. The desserts were ok - fruit tiramisu was mainly cream, chocolate mousse overwhipped. But overall great. All rounded off with génépi. Book ahead!

Would recommend getting a reservation as this place filled up pretty fast! Pretty spenny but very authentic fondue experience with cheapest option starting from 27€ per person ( minimum 2 people, all extras as charged per person as well). Polite and attentive staff. Great selection of cheese fondue even for vegetarian.

Perfect place to experience an authentic fondue. Wood everywhere. Food everywhere. Addicted to this place. Make sure to reserve ahead of time. Always full. Spécial thanks to the amazing Yanny. Do not change anything.
Olivier A — Google review
1/5 - Overpriced and Disappointing Avoid this place if you value your time, money, or a decent meal. We had an absolutely terrible experience from start to finish. The fondue was poorly made—oily, separated, and overcooked to the point where it burned and stuck to the bottom. No meat included, just bread and what essentially turned into a cheese-flavored oil soup. To top it off, they brought us the wrong fondue, and when we asked for a replacement, they outright refused unless we paid for a second one. We reluctantly ate what we were given. The “vegetable platter” for €17 was laughable—some raw cucumber and carrot sticks that looked like they were thrown on the plate as an afterthought. Service was absolutely horrendous. The waiter spilled leftover oil from the fondue onto my friend’s boot while clearing the table and barely apologized. €67 for a fondue that was inedible and lacked any kind of care or quality, plus €17 for a few cut veggies, is a complete ripoff. This place thrives off its touristy location but delivers nothing of value. Forgettable food, terrible service, and ridiculous prices. Do yourself a favor and find another restaurant—there are much better options nearby.
Damián B — Google review
Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was not the best. We ordered raclette, requesting one portion for four people and another for two people, but instead, they brought us two portions for three people each, which was not what we asked for. The biggest issue was that they did not bring the potatoes, which are an essential part of the dish. They arrived half an hour later, by which time we had already eaten most of the cheese, completely ruining the experience. While the food was tasty, the organization and service were disappointing. For a restaurant specializing in raclette, such a mistake is unacceptable. If you’re looking for a better experience, we recommend going to Le Tivoli, where we received a larger portion of cheese for two people than what we got here for three

Absolutely superb, a “must visit” restaurant while you’re in VT. The fondue with ceps (mushrooms) is to die for, the reasonably priced wine superb, the staff incredibly attentive and helpful (immediately reheated our bowl when we incompetently extinguished our flame), you can ask for more cheese if you want it; genuinely one of my greatest ever dining experiences! (BTW, “too expensive”??! The prices are on the menu; don’t buy if you can’t afford! There is a burger joint just up the road...)

Alpen Art is a French restaurant known for its personal touch and adorable care in their super quality cards. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent, offering superb decoration that provides value for money. One must try their delicious Savoryade cheese fondue, which receives high praise. The charcuterie options are equally impressive. However, some patrons found the portion sizes to be disappointingly small compared to the prices charged, except for those ordering the fondue.

Brilliant restaurant. I have to start with the service which was exceptional. They explained local dishes and made edits to the meals according to our preference. The food was great and tasty. I recommend definitely have a starter as it is more local. But also the burger was well done, juicy and hot. This burger is perfect for cheese lovers as it has lists of cheese! Pudding and drinks also nothing to fault and service was relatively fast. The price was expected around the area. Not that cheap but ok to the quality of the food. Finally the space is great. It’s well lit, modern and cosy. Overall nothing to fault.

We visited the place yesterday in a group of 6 people. We ordered starters, wine and main dishes. The beginning was quite promising. The starters, service was ok. The problem started after 2 hours of waiting for the main dishes ( it was already 21.30). Few times we asked to be served and finally we were told that there is a problem in the kitchen and the main dishes are not available and in fact we have to pay for starters and wine. The manager was rude and said that we can wait but she can’t promise that we will be served. So we left restaurant and we lost the evening because it was already to late do go any were. I definitely don't recommend THIS PLACE. Too risky to go there :)

I had the Savoryade cheese fondue which was really good. The charcuterie were amazing as well. My company had chicken supreme, pasta and the lamb confit but honestly the portions were so ridiculously small that the people ordering fondue were the only ones who got full, which was definitely a shame considering the prices. The service was nice, the environment too but the portions are waaaay to small for the prices, except for the fondue.

From the children’s menu, we ordered a pizza for my child, and to our surprise, it was shaped like a bunny! It was a creative and adorable touch that we had never seen before, and my child absolutely loved it. The entire set menu was incredibly delicious and well-prepared. The staff were extremely friendly and patient, taking the time to introduce each dish to us in detail. Despite it being Christmas Eve and the restaurant being fully booked, they still provided attentive and excellent service, making us feel welcomed. Adding to the magic of the evening, we could see a stunning fireworks display outside the window, making the entire experience truly unforgettable.

The head waiter is a man of many talents. Although his job title may be deceiving he is in fact a qualified: electrician, radio operator, dog handler and psychiatrist. Hopefully he is also a qualified firefighter, this building is likely the next Notre Dame. Rustic wood adorns all walls which makes the atmosphere lovely, however the series of electrical problems which plagued our raclette heater however bode poorly for the buildings longevity as a wooden monument. The waiter however used his superb psychiatric skills to make sure all tables were well tended to as the breakers had a fit behind our heads. The raclette was perfectly portioned between the three of us each able to stuff our faces with incredible cold meats and perfectly boiled potatoes smothered in deliciously melted cheese. Pizza was ordered by others in our party and very well received, we can whole heartedly recommend the Forestière. As a group of Englishmen tea is of course a topic of good conversation and the tea served was considered exemplary. The tea cups were splendid and without spoiling them are worth a visit within themselves. All of the puddings served were wonderful the Tarte-tatin was the star of the show creatively presented and perfectly baked.

Year 3 of visiting chaudron magique and it is nothing short of fantastic. Antoine is amazing and so are the team. We love the food, selection and the service and atmosphere. We love going back, thank you for being amazing Antoine, we will be back! Make sure you book, it’s always busy and for good reason

Lovely rustic restaurant, a group of us went for an evening meal. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. We ordered, Chaudron Bleu, Steak, lasagne and mixed grill. Every dish was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Great visit !

The raclette meal for two was great. All 3 servers that catered to us were extremely kind and patient with our unimpressive French skills 😂. The food was great and ambience was ideal for our dinner of two. Would definitely recommend to those looking for high quality local dishes and a relaxed, even romantic, restaurant vibe

In short: Would not eat here, even for free. Google maps rating does not make sense at all. The drinks taste like water, and they all come in the same type of glass. Ordered moscow mules originally but they were not good, the mojito we got after was also like water. :( The waiter was surprised we wanted something else to drink, and wasn't service minded nor curtious. We got steaks (Entrecôte), which were really cheap pieces of meat (attached picture), and the cook obviously had it on one side more than the other. The sauce was also cold. The staff did not remove the wine glasses even though we didn't have wine, and we didn't get sharper knives for the steaks, we were left with the basic butter knives that could barely cut french fries. If you want to go to the restroom while here, you are sent to the basement toilet of the hotel, which is not kept clean after constant use by hotel guests.

Thank you to the team of wonderful staff who looked after us. The menu is superior and we tried many different options whilst here in the week. The food is from fresh local produce and perfectly cooked. Takeaway pizzas, burgers and pasta dishes are an option but we recommend booking a table and dining in for the full experience. -merci pour notre séjour, équipe formidable!

Friendly service, cosy. Local specialties and nice cocktails. Ratatouille was very delicious. Would have given 5 stars if the service was faster, but my respect for the two ladies who did the bar and the table service, they do an excellent job.

At Restaurant Les Saints Pères, the Raclette dish was delivered promptly and came in ample portions at an affordable cost. Additionally, there is no requirement for advance bookings. The pizza served here is exceptional and the staff are highly attentive. However, it is advisable to make reservations during weekends as availability might be limited without prior arrangement.
We ordered two main dishes and one plate extra Fries. (A pizza and a local dish) It tasted really good. I recommend the cassolette d'oeufs savoyard aux morilles which is a local dish. It can also be eaten by vegetarians, because the parmaham is at the side. The vegetarian pizza has also a good taste.

The best pizza in Val Thorens! It’s not necessarily a pizzeria, but they do a great job with their classic, Italian style, stone-baked pizzas, and really reasonably priced too. They also have great fondues and specials too. Highly recommend you visit, and book ahead!

It would be unfair to give this place one star. But it comes extremely close. We had a terrible experience.. It seemed the chef had tried to play a trick on the staff and serve a dessert that had been covered in garlic oil. The trick appeared to have back fired as we were served the dessert. It was the most horrific experience in any restaurant I’ve visited. The staff removed the garlic dessert, and expected us to pay full price for the rest of the food - which we did out of politeness. Terrible. But unfair to blame the entire restaurant.

We had the Raclette, it arrived very quickly and the portions were very generous and at a good price. And no need for reservations :)
Shahar B — Google review
Not a bad spot, but the food and staff were below average. My pizza was like a mix between a Chicago town and out of date old El Paso kit. Bland and visibility disappointed on arrival. The drinks were dear and tiny and the staff were so unhelpful and a rude manager snapping at the constantly at her staff. Really would not recommend and certainly won’t be back in anytime. This is a tough time spent and only for the brave.
Nick B — Google review
Amazing Pizza and very attentive. Make sure to book over the weekend as we missed out on a second visit.
Beth W — Google review
Everything was going okay, the pizzas are alright, very thin crispy and very doughy pizzas The issue came when we went to order deserts, we went with the blueberry pie. When the pie came we were very excited to tuck in. When we had our first mouthful, we were disgusted, our mouths were on fire with garlic with an essence of cooked snails. When we went to complain the waiter eluded to the chef playing a trick on the staff, we complained further and they took the garlic tasting desert from our menu. We were slightly confused because we had been served garlic tasting blueberry pie and the chef had admitted to contaminating the pie with garlic. Imagine having a blueberry pie with garlic stuffed inside and then absolutely no remorse Please go to this restaurant if you fancy average thin pizza and garlic desert

La Piscine is a restaurant in Val Thorens that offers delicious food at affordable prices. Customers can enjoy a wide variety of cuisine options, including burgers, pizzas, crepes, cheese melts, and desserts. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing fantastic service to patrons. Additionally, the restaurant offers delicious chips and an impressive selection of wines.
WOW, what can I say ONLY 3.6* seriously 😳🤷‍♂️.. we chose to visit this place as its centrally located in the village and had football on so thought why not. Have to admit I eat by star rating and normally wouldn't touch any place below 4.0* and search for 4.5*+ on Google but it looked OK and plenty of TV to watch the football at most seating areas. This place gets busy but if you go at the right time you can grab a good seat and I found even though it was busy, the service was excellent and the quality of food spot on especially for the price point. We both has pizza 🍕, my friend was recommended the TEX MEX by the owners wife and I had the Reine but upgraded it with spicy beef and salami which they were quite happy to accommodate. We both agreed that the bars of the pizza were perfectly cooked and they really did taste good. Would definitely go back for a pizza or another course and can't say anything negative about this place. I feel value for money you get more than you pay for and would recommend this place for all pizza lovers and people wanting to watch the football instead of the underground bar higher up the village,,,, plus what's not to love as you get to eat great food whilst you watch the game if you're short on time but want to eat out and can't miss the football..... 5*

The kids know this as “the crepe place” because they have so many customers that only stop for a crepe or waffle. We were one of those people but when we saw the rest of the menu, we had to come back for dinner. Price wise, it’s very good value for the food that you get combined with the service offered. Very surprised that it averages 3.5 stars on reviews - I can’t think why! This is a family run restaurant and it shows with the attention that you get as patrons. We’ve visited each time we’ve been in Val Thorens and the welcome is always a friendly familiar one! The pizzas, pastas and burgers are all excellent but the selection of wine is very good too - better than you would expect ! We’ve not finished our bottle of wine before and were offered the cork so we could take it home - all without asking! For dessert, the crepes are excellent, to the point where I’ve had two crepe suzette orders in one sitting!

The food here is excellent and at a very reasonable price. Great pizzas, lovely interesting salads, the ribs are fab and the fish burger pretty spectacular. Nice chips too. Amazing wines and very friendly too!

While the service is truly good and sincere, nothing to say to the food, the location and setting is quite horrible... (in the midst of a mall..) You should know before you go, especially if it's your last night. I understood upon arrival why it was the only place where they still were able to receive 20 people...

Hotel 3 Vallées - Val Thorens is an alpine-style hotel located in the heart of Val-Thorens, just a short walk from Glacier and Val Thorens Ski Resort. The hotel offers rustic wood-paneled rooms with free Wi-Fi, a restaurant, and a bar. A very friendly boutique hotel with great staff and high quality service. With very comfortable and spacious rooms, the hotel is well positioned for access to the slopes. There is an excellent restaurant serving a great breakfasts and a 5 star evening menu. We will definitely be coming back next year.

Fabulous Boutique hotel Liked · comfortable boutique hotel. Spectacularly good food - Thanks to Atilla, the head chef Friendly helpful staff, particularly Sebastien at reception and Ivan who was our waiter Half board is great option Nice little spa, but no pool Not ideal for kids, but great for adults Nice cozy bar Hire shop is directly opposite hotel. Disliked · not ski in / out but only 50m walk to the snow, maybe 100m on return. Packed breakfast on our last transit day was a disappointment. We had a great holiday and I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.

A fantastic hotel. Not quite ski in/ski out during our stay but with more snow earlier in the season I'm sure it would be. The location is great and next to a supermarket and ski rental. The central village is a few minutes walk away. All the staff are great. A special thanks to Sebastian who is an outstanding personality and such a pleasant and helpful individual. The breakfast and evening dinner was of a very high standard. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bar area has excellent views of the slopes. We will be looking to stay again next year. Highly recommended.

Not only is Hotel 3 Vallees a great hotel, the staff is extremely helpful and nice. We spent a week with our 4 young adults (20 and more). All the ski equipment is great, the SPA is the cherry on the cake (you just need to wake up early to make the reservation as it is in huge demand), and the food of the restaurant is excellent. The staff knows how to suit everyone's need (vegeterian, "simplier' food etc.) A special thanks to EMMA and SEBASTIEN who were particularly helpful.

Stayed 5 days at the hotel with 4 children towards the fag end of the season. The suite was well equipped with jacuzzi and Turkish bath. The wellness centre has additional sauna and steam bath. The rooms are small. The front desk staff were very friendly, approachable and helpful. Location is good with shops, ski equipment hire and eateries nearby. Breakfast was adequate however got a bit monotonous after 2nd day. Overall satisfied and would definitely come back next year.

We had a fantastic time at Hotel 3 Vallees - could not recommend more! The location is very convenient, with good proximity to the slopes. It has a lovely rustic feel, and the rooms are very comfortable, cosy and clean with great views. We enjoyed the breakfast, which had a wide selection of fresh hot and cold foods. The staff are incredibly welcoming and attentive and we'd like to thank Sebastien and Alexis especially who were always so friendly and accommodating.

Charming team who made our stay so welcoming. Before our arrival Sebastian was super helpful in arranging bookings and sharing ski hire information. We had a horrendous journey due to a rockfall on the N90 (main route from Albertville) and arrived after 9.30pm. The whole team made sure we had a great dinner. Evan and everyone in the restaurant was super friendly and Chef Attilla was incredibly accommodating in making plain food for our son - despite serving up delicious dinners every night. We will definitely return to Hotel 3 Vallees. Thanks to a great team.

The Hotel Koh-I Nor by Les Etincelles is an upscale mountain establishment that offers a variety of amenities and services. It features two restaurants, a lounge/bar, a spa, and two pools. While it may not exude the opulence of renowned hotels like the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton, it provides all the necessary facilities one could desire. These include multiple dining options, complimentary water, shuttle service, spa treatments, and even a ski rental shop on-site.
We stayed four nights here mid-December and had the most wonderful time. The customer service is top-notch. I find it rather surprising to read some negative reviews, because we had the best of service here. Everyone, from the front-desk to the drivers, who took you up and down to the market always served with a smile. The food was great but the breakfast could surely do with more variety, as we found it was the same for all the days we stayed. Guess, ski resort guests typically longer and to see the same breakfast everyday would get boring. The ski facilities are on point and the staff too helpful and friendly. Overall, super stay and we would visit again for sure, for the fabulous views and the warm hospitality. Thanks guys!!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at this hotel in France! The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable—truly a perfect retreat after a day on the slopes. Breakfast was top-class, with a wide selection of delicious options to fuel us for the day ahead. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The ski-in, ski-out access was a total game-changer, making our time on the mountain so seamless and stress-free. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back for another unforgettable stay!

We stayed here a week with a party of 13. For the price you pay, I would expect much better. Hotel staff are good and rooms clean. Spa facilities are good. Ski shop staff are excellent. Hotel restaurants are very poor. Poor selection, especially if vegatarian. Given the cost of dining there the service is found wanting. We made a reservaton for 7:30pm only to be served food after 9pm. In addition, some of the food served caused illness to our party, likely due to the fact the kitchen was too slow at serving guests. When raised with management about uncooked meats, they just shrugged and said it wasn't their problem. Hotel billing system is also completely broken. Our end of week bill contained other people's orders, double counted food we consumed and also didnt have a proper system to track expenditure meaning we had to go through it with staff for over an hour. When we went through it they still made so many mistakes when bills were restated the next day. This isn't a one off either, staff told me they have this issue with a lot of guests. For the premium price of the accomodation and food paid, I would expect much better. Doubt this hotel would still be a 5* hotel if reviewed today.
Rajesh P — Google review
We recently stayed at Hotel Koh-I Nor for a four-day short ski break. Given that it is a 5-star hotel in a stunning location, we had high expectations for an excellent stay — but unfortunately, those were only partially met. The hotel does offer great ski facilities: there is an in-house ski shop and rental service, as well as heated lockers per room for ski equipment, which makes it incredibly easy to ski in and out. You can also purchase your ski pass directly at the hotel. The ski shop staff were extremely helpful — I had pain in my ski boots after the first day, and they swapped them without hesitation for a wider model, which completely resolved the issue. The spa is also beautiful and well-equipped. We booked a 50-minute massage, which was carried out very professionally — definitely recommended. However, the spa area lacks clear rules and structure. It’s hard to truly relax when children are constantly jumping into the pool and disturbing the peace. A “no jumping” rule or even limiting the spa area to adults could be a solution. There is another pool where children could go instead — after all, it should remain a family-friendly hotel. The biggest downside, however, was the breakfast. It sets the wrong tone for the day. Breakfast is served in a far too small and dark space with no natural light — a bizarre choice given the hotel boasts breathtaking mountain views. There is simply not enough staff to handle breakfast comfortably. You often have to wait a long time to be assigned a table, and once seated, the table is not even set — which gives the impression of a fast-food experience. At the very least, placemats or runners should be provided to make the tables feel more welcoming. The absence of table linens also causes excessive clattering of plates and cutlery, making the whole experience feel like a canteen. No one asks if you’d like coffee or tea — you have to request it yourself, and wait quite a while to get it. It is possible to order eggs à la carte, but this was only communicated to us after a few days, and the options were very limited. At a five-star hotel, you would expect at least a toast with avocado, an açaí bowl, or some healthy alternatives on the menu. I searched for a banana for three days and eventually asked for one — only to be told they simply didn’t have any. In a ski resort hotel, this is quite unheard of. You're left relying on a very sad and limited buffet, spread out over two small islands where guests have to crowd around and everything runs out constantly. There is little to no replenishment — for example, with pancakes, you’d have to wait a long time and then practically fight for one, only to find it cold. The rooms appear okay at first glance but are subpar for a five-star hotel. The decor lacks style and borders on kitsch, with unattractive red and chrome accents. Why place a huge, heavy frame around the TV, when a TV isn’t even a nice object to begin with? Despite having booked a “superior” room, we had to settle for a small showerhead in a bathtub and hard mattresses. At nearly €500 per night, you would expect at least a walk-in rain shower and comfortable bedding. Conclusion: the hotel could become the best in the region — it has all the right facilities — but it lacks class, refinement, and a higher level of service to truly make guests feel at home.
Michelle H — Google review
We had a great time there. The highlights from our point of view were: the hotel has its own ski shop and direct access to the slopes. A sun terrace with an incredible view over the town, the mountains and some slopes, the spacious SPA and the local savoyarde restaurant. Only thing to improve is the main restaurant. Dishes were boring and really small for that price tag.
David G — Google review
We had a wonderful time. It was really disappointing to find the exterior sauna not available for use… I would like to have water available for drink in the ski locker. Temperature too hot in ski locker. Everything else was really amazing. Rooms, lobby, services, restaurants. Simply amazing

Very friendly staff and beautiful location. Lounge and terrace experience is lovely. Ski room is excellent and location is very convenient for skiing. Wifi is next to unusable. Fairly shocking for a 5-star hotel in 2025 in an advanced economy. Kitchen has a clear labor issue. Management was responsive following one horrendous experience at dinner (waited over 1 1/2 hours for an entree and finally gave up.)

Everything about this place was charming - the atmosphere and setting were cozy, rustic, authentic. The food was just as impressive, full of flavour and beautifully plated. Great selection of wines too. Highly recommend to anyone looking for genuine regional cuisine, by far one of the best places for dinner in Val Thorens.

One word to summarize the experience @ la Cabane: WOUAH! And our wonderful experience is due to: - A very beautiful restaurant with a very warm wooden atmosphere. - A super friendly staff (including some native English speakers) who really take care of you and are super friendly - Good food, and this really matters! The fondue aux cèpes was delicious and the side meat was tasty! - Delicious cocktails made with love by the barman. Yes of course it costs a bit of money, but the experience if really worth it!

We had a fantastic stay at Fahrenheit Seven and had already made plans to return next year. However, the post-checkout experience has left us feeling very confused and disappointed. After leaving, we received an email with a payment link for €30, claiming we had taken two Rituals products. We hadn’t taken any products, only using some moisturiser during our stay, as you should expect at a hotel of this standard. Coincidentally, a friend staying in a separate room received the exact same email for the exact same products, which he also did not take. For a hotel of this standard, with room rates exceeding €2,000 for a four-night stay, it’s astonishing that such an issue would arise. The hotel claims we had taken "large refillable" bottles, yet the products in question were provided as shown in the hotel’s own room photos, small (20/30ml), the kind you’d expect to be complimentary in any quality 4 star hotel. It’s a real shame that such a great experience was overshadowed by this.

*PARTY HOTEL* This hotel is in a wonderful location, has excellent amenities and lovely service from staff. The breakfast is also wonderful. However do NOT stay here if you enjoy any kind of peace or quiet. Thursday, Friday and Saturday there is a very loud après party that takes place (right outside our window) and then music in the bar below until 3 am. This could all be heard from our room on the second floor and made relaxing & sleeping quite difficult. The boot room bathrooms were also quite disgusting on another note. And the spa which is great, was very messy. If you have come to Val Thorens to party this is your hotel!

The stay was fine and hotel in a good location. However following check-out, all parties were billed €30 for using the amenities (shampoo and conditioner). Such a shame that having spent €599 each night, the hotel is charging for use of the room toiletries!! Felt very cheap and borderline fraudulent. ***Update 18th March 2025*** - To be clear, no toiletries were taken from the room whatsoever. Certainly not "large bottles" as you suggest. The exact same scam email demanding payment for conditioner and body lotion was sent to other guests in different rooms in identical formatting. POOR SHOW.

Extended stay hotel
Le Hameau du Kashmir is a sophisticated hotel located on the mountainside, offering luxurious suites and apartments. Guests can enjoy dining at two restaurants, one serving traditional cuisine and the other offering international dishes with a stunning view from the terrace. The hotel also features a lounge serving crepes and snacks. It is conveniently located near the town center and offers direct access to the ski slopes.
Stayed in the apartments. Plenty of space, well stocked kitchen, appealing design. You can also adjust the heating to your liking. The location is great, city centre is just a short walk away. The ski in and out is actually what it claims to be - you leave the ski room and you're on a piste leading to a few different lifts. End of the day from a few pistes you can basically ski into the ski room. The pool and saunas are cherry on top after a day on the mountain. Also liked the fresh baguettes delivered to the room each morning (you can also get croissant or chocolate bun). Staff is helpful and nice. All in all had a great stay and felt very comfortable here. I cannot find a fault. Would definitely come back and can easily recommend.

A group of 8 of us stayed in two 4 birth apartments, and we all had an excellent time. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The apartments were well fitted out and very clean. The apartments had good easy access to the ski slopes and good access to the upper and lower part of Val Thorens village. Would recommend them to anyone. In fact, we are going to return in March.

Had an excellent stay over New Year 24/25 - found the hotel to be well located in terms of connectivity to lifts and slopes and only a 5 minute walk from shops/restaurants (especially if you know the Val Thorens shortcuts). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - I was particularly impressed with their responses to requests before we arrived and how they accommodated us. On site ski shop is well stocked with new, quality equipment at reasonable rates. We stayed self catering and found the room to be of good size, well equipped and clean. Super sun terrace next to the slopes serving good food during the day as well. Absolutely no issues.

Had a great experience at the hotel. Will definitely try to come back next year. Room ready when I arrived check in efficient they had all my details ready to go. Very clean, staff helpful and loads of hot water for the shower each evening. Bar onside and two restaurants. I tried the up market beef and lobster it was costly for what I got but same to be said for any restaurants at the ski station.

I recently stayed at Hameau du Kashmir in Val Thorens. While the location is convenient and offers easy access to the slopes, I found the rooms to be on the smaller side, and the services provided did not seem to align with the high prices charged. Given the competitive options available in the area, I believe there are other hotels that offer better value for money. While Val Thorens is inherently pricey, I would recommend researching other accommodations before making a decision.

Le Hameau du Kashmir is very kid-friendly. If you’re planning to stay with young children, this place is ideal. However, we stayed in an apartment with our two sons, who are young adults, so the experience was just okay for us. The location is not the most convenient, as it’s about a 10- to 15-minute walk from the center (Place Caron). If the roads are icy, the walk to shops and restaurants can be a bit challenging. That said, we found a shortcut that reduced the walk to about 8 to 10 minutes. On the positive side, the residence is ski-in/ski-out, which is extremely convenient. The pool is very small and more suited for kids and their parents to play in. The gym is fine if you’re not too demanding, as the equipment is quite basic. Unfortunately, the spa area was crowded and noisy, with kids shouting and adults speaking loudly, making it far from relaxing. On our last day, the jacuzzi was out of order. The highlight of the spa area was the massages, which were absolutely amazing. The masseuse who treated both my husband and me was exceptionally skilled. The on-site ski shop is excellent, with very friendly staff. They recommended a great boot-fitting place where we bought ski boots, and the experience there was fantastic. We didn’t personally enjoy the bar or the crêpes available every afternoon, but they looked appealing. Families with young children seemed to really enjoy the après-ski offerings.
Fabienne J — Google review
Great hotel well located with swimming pool, spa, bar and restaurant. Easy to get to the slope from the ski room and near the Carron place for drinks and shops.
Tessier V — Google review
This was our first time in Val Thorens with friends. The hotel is a bit far from the center, and walking there can be challenging, so keep this in mind. We chose this hotel because it fit within our budget and was part of a deal. The slope in front of the hotel is a blue slope, which is not ideal for beginners. While we managed since we’re not beginners, it could be difficult for less experienced skiers. In the morning, the slope is mostly fine, but it tends to get quite bumpy in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the hotel staff were not very helpful. We requested a late check-out (10:30 am instead of 10:00 am), but they were very strict and declined. Another issue is that they haven’t responded to my emails about the deposit, which I’ve been waiting to get back for nearly a week. I’ve now had to raise a dispute with my bank to resolve this. Additionally, we ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail for the children, which turned out to be €11 more expensive than a gin and tonic—something to be aware of when ordering.

Nestled in the heart of Val Thorens, Résidence Village Montana offers a delightful ski-in/ski-out experience that is perfect for winter enthusiasts. This charming property features cozy apartments equipped with kitchenettes and inviting balconies, allowing guests to soak in the stunning alpine views. For those seeking culinary delights, nearby dining options like Le Chaudron Magique serve up delicious French and European cuisine.
Hotel was amazing! The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was exceptionally clean, well presented and complete with all appliances needed for a self catered week away. Views were incredible from the room and only a short walk away from the slopes. 10/10 would stay here again!
Tayah W — Google review
Definitely not a 4 starts apartment hotel. Rooms were tiny for a group of people. Tiny bathroom, tiny toilets (my tall friend couldn’t even close the door while sitting). The ski room was also very small and on rush hours were hard to move in. The stuff and the lobby were very nice, and the balcony was also nice. It could be nice to add some lightning to the balcony and add electricity to the tiny room in the wall. Location was pretty good, near the elevator that takes you to the mall. I would say it is 3 starts at most.

Not a 4 star apartment residence. The rooms are fine and clean and the location is good - right next to a shortcut leading to a central part of town. However, they do not provide simple things like toilet paper - you have to get your own. The free WiFi barely works.

Had a wonderful week, 4 seasons i suppose! including the biggest overnight dump I've ever seen, throughout the staff were very welcoming. My son had an impromptu bday party in the lounge with over 40 people, the adults were very well looked after and the kids went mad with joy in the crazy snowfall. Very calm, friendly, and well run place. It was back to business the day after the mayor let us out, no drop in the service. Thank you
Dandelion F — Google review
I stayed at Résidence Village Montana Val Thorens expecting a comfortable and convenient ski holiday, but the experience was far from what was promised. First off, the beds were awful – thin, lumpy mattresses that felt more like camp beds than something you’d expect in a supposed 4-star residence. Sleep was near impossible. The apartment itself was poorly maintained: walls were dusty and cobwebbed, light switches either didn’t work or were literally hanging off the wall. It felt neglected. One of the main reasons I booked this place was for the on-site spa – never once was it disclosed that it would be closed. That’s a pretty big omission and left us without a key amenity we were really looking forward to. They also proudly advertise "ski-in, ski-out" access. Not true. Unless you consider walking uphill in ski boots to the nearest slope “ski-out.” Completely misleading. The same goes for their claim of a 24/7 reception – we arrived just after 9pm to locked doors and no one in sight. Apparently, they close for the night without warning. To top it all off, they had the nerve to charge us a cleaning fee because we left the room “dirty,” despite there being no mention in the terms or during check-in that we were expected to deep-clean the place ourselves. No welcome book, no instructions – just a surprise charge. And finally, the terrace had a nice view, but no chair to sit outside. For a property of this price point, that’s just lazy. Overall, this place was a letdown – misrepresented, uncomfortable, and run without care. I wouldn’t stay here again, and I wouldn't recommend it unless they drastically improve their standards and honesty.
Dani S — Google review
We really liked our holiday the Residence Village Montana, however there are few things that could have been better: * One stained bed sheets on arrival (changed by reception) * I had to try 3 different car parks with 3 different codes (3 trips to reception) before finally getting the right code for the right car park. * No enough bowls and glasses, no oven glove * The lights in the hallway outside to our apartment were not working * The Spar experience was not great: only one shower working, no real private space to get change. The location is good to ski out of the residence. The service was good. The bedrooms, beds, furnitures, all was ok but not luxury.
M T — Google review
Nice apartment although a little tired and could do with updating. Small as usual with ski apartments. We were half board. The breakfast was fine although very busy and often ran out if you were a bit late. The evening food was terrible - they knew in advance that I was vegetarian but had no vegetarian option available. This meant every night I was given the vegetables from the other dishes, no protein at all. And it was brought out about 10-15 minutes after everyone elses in the group. It was ski in ski out which was excellent.
Ruth A — Google review
Rooms basic but great and price matched the standard, so we were very happy. We do not need fancy and it was clean and had everything we needed. The beds are however incredibly hard. We are not normally ones to comment on beds so they must be very hard! Location was exceptional. Best on the piste location I have ever had. Great for start and finish of the day as well as for the evening trips to the Tignes leisure centre (free with lift pass) and bars and restaurants. Many thanks a really fantastic week.

LA RÔTISSERIE, situated at Hotel Fahrenheit 7, stands out as one of the top dining spots in Val Thorens. This altitude restaurant offers a unique gastronomic experience from breakfast through dinner, featuring traditional French dishes with innovative twists. The menu includes wood-fired oven-grilled prime cuts, fish dishes, and Asian-inspired flavors. Guests can enjoy generous portions and stunning mountain views while savoring delicious pizzas and fish paired with fine wines.
Great pizza, great location and to be honest, great price. Everything in resort expensive but this certainly delivers on quality before you think about the bill.
Jack N — Google review
Lovely seating area in the restaurant, all very modern and with nice large glass windows allowing you to see into the kitchen. The squid starter was a bit tough, and I expected better quality, tasted like it had been frozen a while. The steak and octopus main courses were very nice though and we really enjoyed.
Adam G — Google review
The location itself was great, having a nice vibe and a great view. The food was also a highlight: well-cooked, flavorful, and beautifully plated, and came in generous portion sizes. Unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the food, and it felt a bit rushed, as the waiters didn’t help much when being asked for recommendations.
Andra S — Google review
The food was mediocre , not what we had expected at all . The calamari starter to share was a large portion but still had quite a lot of sinew which had not been removed. The accompanying mayo was not very tasty . My chicken main was fine but again the sauce was not very tasty and the roasted potatoes were soggy . The burger my husband had was ok but the chips were greasy and soft so not pleasant. The next table to us walked out and refused to pay their bill complaining their pizza was soggy . Overall, unfortunately this was an underwhelming experience and very overpriced for very average food therefore whilst we were initially considering eating there more than once , we have now made other plans for the remainder of our week .

Holiday apartment
Apartment complex
Nestled in the stunning Val Thorens region, Les Chalets de Rosaël offers chic apartments that perfectly blend comfort and style. This ski-in/ski-out hotel boasts breathtaking mountain views, a delightful restaurant, and a rejuvenating spa area for guests to unwind after an exhilarating day on the slopes. Situated near the Col de Rosael, visitors can easily access various pistes, including the gentle blue-graded Chamois piste that leads to the Grand Fond Funitel lift.
A group of 7 friends and I stayed here in a 6-8 person superior room. The apartment was well presented with a modern and well-equipped kitchen. All bedrooms had 2 single, but attachable, beds that were comfy and came with cozy, warm bedding. One bedroom was on the small side, but manageable. Bathrooms were nice; we had one bath/shower combo, one shower room attached to a bedroom, and one toilet - this was the only downside as one toilet between 8 can create queues. The lounge was spacious, and even the pull-out bed was comfortable for pull-out bed standards. As for the spa facilities, these were good, but unfortunately, there was no hot-tub. The host/reception clerk was also very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Ski-in/ski-out was also a plus, but I will add the ski-in either requires a short walk, or a slightly precarious entry point, but overall absolutely fine.
Harry S — Google review
A bit expensive for what it is, without a lot of service. The employees are nice, but don't speak French. There is a spa and a swimming pool that are pretty nice, though the naming is a bit questionable... "Alaska" really? They have a ski location implemented and a ski room, which is good, though the place is a bit far from the ski slopes. You have to cook yourself, but they can provide bread in the morning, though not that good-tasting... In your actual rooms, you have Wi-Fi (limited to 5 devices) and a bathtub. Overall, this chalet is nice to live in, though having a slight lack of service and being a bit expensive.
Bockhoff C — Google review
We had a comfortable three bedrooms self catering apartment, two en-suites, balcony and everything needed, clean and easy manage. Swimming pool, steam room and sauna is added bonus, great after ski activities. It’s located at the top of the hill, kept us walking a bit, we might choose to be somewhere closer to the activities give choice. The public area such as lobby, staircase feels a little rundown.
Rachel W — Google review
Great hotel. Nice staff and good spacious rooms. Sauna steam are nice after a day on the slopes. Breakfast can be delivered free of charge. Distance to town justifies the price. But not to far away.ski out is ok but ski in can be tough.
Teddy S — Google review
It's a good place for friends looking for something cheap. It wasn't cleaned that well when we arrived. There were a few broken items one being a sofa bed which they replaced immediately. There is ski in on a very steep red run which is about 50m long. There isn't ski out but there is a short 100m walk to the slope.
Dylan P — Google review
We really enjoyed our holidays, the apartment is very nice, clean, with amazing views to the mountains from our bed and living room. Kitchen has all the facilities you can need, and staff are very nice, they helped us with all we ask them. If we come back to Val Thorens, we will repeat it!
Anna S — Google review
This is the best apartments in Val Thorens so far! I've been here many times and that was definitely the best one because of the staying. Our apartment was so big but cozy at the same time. I've been there with my boyfriend and two more couples and we all had our room with private bathroom, and even a sauna inside our apartment! It was amazing. But the best is yet to come, because inside the apartments you also have a spa, wet and dry sauna, climate pool, ski rental, parking, and lockers with heat inside, so you can start your ski day super warm! You also have a restaurant just down the apartment where you'd be able to eat the tradicional cuisine which was so delicious (which vegetarian options as I am). And the last, but not worse, this apartments has on the best people running it! Eli was always available for us, gave us the best recommendations and made our stay the best way to start the year. She could provide us everything we need and she is so welcoming, committed and wonderful. I'd definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to stay in Vall Thorens and also wants to feel like home in the coziests aparments overthere!!!! :)
Clara G — Google review
Not really ski in-ski out. The ski in is very difficult and after that requires walking up the hill. The ski out requires 3 minutes walking on ice. Rooms looks NOTHING like i the website photos. Noy very clean and ugly design. At check out guests are required to take downstairs the towels and bedsheets (!) and trow the trash outside. Location is very far from the center, about 10 minutes walk. Terrible place.

The terrace offers stunning views of the mountains as the sun sets. The staff is known for being very helpful and child-friendly. Outstanding location (car park nearby, ski-in and barely 20 paces to do to ski out). Good sauna facilities, extremely nice and helpful staff and the desserts at dinner are just to die for (they're made in-house, praise the patisserie chef!). To be honest, the place actually exceeded my expectations.

Very nice hotel! The hotelroom is well kept and clean. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet with more choice than you can/should eat 😊 The dinner is a set menu where you can choose fish, Meat/chicken or vegatarian. And after a buffet dessert with amazing pastries. The personnel is helpful and serves kind and quick.

Great location on the mountain for ski in/out. Food and service from Anna was exceptional. Our rooms were a little dated and didn’t quite reflect the pictures online. Bedding is a personal thing and I did find them uncomfortable albeit my kids found them fine. Shower pressure and temperature was good albeit it was a shub and quite small. The lounge and dining area were really nice and had a warm atmosphere.
Adam L — Google review
Le Sherpa is an amazing hotel, in a good location close to a good selection of bars, restaurants, and shops. It has ski in/out, although you need to walk up a small slope (about 15 metres) before strapping in when going out for the day. They also have heated ski/boot lockers, an essential these days. The hotel itself was clean, cosy and comfortable throughout, and has a traditional alpine charm. Our room was a little on the small side, but as expected and it was big enough for the two of us. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed to have a great week. It also had a balcony with a great view over the village and the mountains beyond. The staff here are some of friendliest and welcoming that I have experienced over the last 35 years. Maxime (the General Manager) has built an excellent team and we enjoyed interacting with various individuals throughout the week, including (but not limited to) Maxime, Ana, Charlotte, Tiffany, Chris, and Sam. The whole team worked really well together, from the reception to the cleaners, and the bar/restaurant staff, everyone was very thoughtful and attentive. The staff and the food were probably the best thing about our stay. They have a great chef and the food was excellent, and better than one would expect from a 3 star hotel. There was usually a few choices for the main course (including a vegetarian option), and the dessert buffet never disappointed! The breakfast was buffet style, and again the selection and quality was fantastic. Thank you Maxime and all the team. We will definitely be returning, hopefully next year :)

Really nice hotel. Ski in/out. We booked a family room - small but as expected from the pictures and size was fine for us. But the hotel's greatest assets are the really friendly staff and excellent food.

We had the best time for our first ski trip. The hotel was so clean and comfortable, the spa facilities were amazing and we absolutely loved the half board menu. We hope to come back!
Mark L — Google review
Excellent food, very helpful and child friendly staff, nicely appointed restaurant and bar. The terrace is a lovely place to be as the Sun sinks behind the mountains. Our room was a bit compact but very comfy beds. It was so warm we had to open the windows to let in a bit of the freezing air from outside. There is a 'wellness centre' with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There is limited space in all three but somehow there was always enough room for those who wanted to use them. There is only one shower though and it didn't always have hot water. The hotel is technically a ski in ski out hotel. But the route in is a hard blue so not suitable for beginners and its not the easiest walk to/from the slopes if you have to carry all your gear. For the first few days we left our gear in lockers near the slopes until we felt we could manage the route back to the hotel. Overall a very nice base from which to explore the slopes of Val Thorens especially if you like good food.

I came for dinner with my family this Sunday. We’ve visited around five restaurants since our arrival in Val Thorens and wanted to try something near Koh-I Nor, based on a friend’s recommendation. At the time of our visit, La Cave appeared to be operating at around 30% capacity. Despite that, our table lacked sufficient space to accommodate all the food we ordered. We politely asked if it would be possible to attach a small side table—just enough to avoid having to place a baked potato on the window ledge behind my daughter (which our waiter had, rather creatively, used as an extra surface). The answer was a flat “no, we are waiting for other guests.” I repeated the question 20 minutes later: “Are you sure all these empty tables are actually reserved, in a restaurant that’s nearly empty?” The reply, again, was mechanically the same: “We are waiting for people to come.” This final exchange, ironically, happened after 21:30—despite Google Maps listing your closing time as 21:30. Lack of care. Lack of professionalism. Sadly and disappointing, this was the most disappointing dining experience we’ve had over the past week in Val Thorens. (Photo: window ledge used as an extension of our table)

We spent a week of vacation in the Koh-I-Nor hotel. We wanted to have the savoyard experience. We went to La Cave and we all took a raclette au lait cru. Not only the cheese was delicious and in a great quantity (enough to feed 3 teenagers), the charcuterie was also amazing. We had a great wine to go with it. Great time. Definitely recommend for local recipe experience!

The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, especially with live music gracing the venue on select evenings.
Officially one of my most favorite restaurants in the world 💗 the staff here went above and beyond. The cocktails and wine selection were top notch. We did dinner for 6, and every course was memorable (mushroom soup with foie, cote de beouf🤌). The prices were as expected for a fine dining experience at a ski resort/village so I'm not sure why people are complaining about the price. Definitely will come back next time we visit!!

I stayed at hotel Le Pashmina last week. The hotel is really nice and the only negative experiences were to be found on the 3rd floor where breakfast, the bar and this restaurant is located. It just wasn't possible to not have things go wrong all. the. time. The food is pretentious and overly complicated just for the sake of it. Cold lobster in a salad? Tastes like rubber really. Fried veal? Sure. Just don't put it in the over for hours because it was bone dry. Also don't put it on half a pound of stewed mushrooms and cabbage (yes, cabbage). Seriously, what is that chef thinking? I also wonder what's up with all the hazelnuts. Did they buy too many by accident so the chef had to put it in and on everything? They even put it in the soup! Same with the truffles. I guess they had some left over since it was past truffel season. A good dish doesn't need it and you can't improve the bad ones with it. Service was atrocious for a "Michelin star restaurant". I really felt unwelcome every night I was there. The staff couldn't remember an order if it killed them. I had to ask for a bottle of stil water every time againw twice. I'd be happy if I never set foot in this place ever again.

I often come out still hungry when I go to restaurants in this range, which was never the case in this one. The quality of the products and the quantity are present. Came 8 evenings in a row. (Original) Excellent restaurant.

(Translated by Google) Mixed experience for an establishment of this standard. The reception did not live up to our expectations, with a long wait despite low attendance. Even when ordering drinks, we were told that the wait was due to the fact that only one person was managing the bar. The pasta included in the buffet also took a long time to arrive (around 20-25 minutes) advertised with truffle, but the taste was non-existent. However, the quality of the food and drinks was there, nothing to complain about at that level.

This charming residence features modern apartments adorned with cozy chalet-style decor, complete with wooden furnishings and spacious living areas. Each unit is equipped with a kitchenette, making it perfect for families or groups looking to whip up their own meals after a day on the slopes.
First time in Village Montana Plein Sud, Rooms were very clean and spacious, living room more than big enough. Kitchen well equiped. Previous renter had broken the cooking plate. Was immediately replaced by VM. Ski locker with booth heaters big enough for the entire family. Ski in ski out building. During our stay our kids got sick. And we needed replacements sheets. Everybody was so helpfull from reception staff to night watchman... we got everything we needed in a second. we had a great stay and will be back next year!

Very nice. Regular cleaning/restocking toilet paper etc, clean towels once or twice a week would be good. Overall nice and would stay again. Staff were excellent as were the facilities.
Kevin E — Google review
5 Star rating is very misleading and probably only a technically as it had a Spa. Pillows v poor, kitchen very basically appointed and one bedroom had no window only a roof light with broken blind. More like a 4 star.
Mark S — Google review
large apartments, well organized. ski in-out. great saunas and nice pool (quite cold). you have to buy your own toilet paper and ask for towel change. need more hanging places in the apartment.
Roni G — Google review
The wifi doesn't work, the apartments are nicely furnished, the snow blows in through the vents, and the housekeeping services are very limited for a 'five' star hotel. Not bad, but not five star. Good location.
Paddy O — Google review
Pool was cold, Wi-Fi didn’t work, rooms were tiny, couches and beds weren’t very comfortable. Best thing is the location. Not a five star…
Ben L — Google review
The rooms are great. Ski-in/out is brilliant. Distance to shopping centre is less than 100m. Would stay again.
Ashley B — Google review
Pros: -location for skiing or snowboarding -clean and big rooms -fully equipped kitchen Cons: -WiFi was very poor -roof windows on the attic floor were blocked and covered with the snow, so there were lack of fresh air and sun lights in the room - probably not enough shelf space for four people Recommended👍🏻

La Face Ouest is a French-Italian restaurant in Val Thorens known for its mountain-view terrace and delicious gastronomic offerings. The restaurant has recently undergone renovations, offering a revamped dining experience. Guests have praised the excellent service and variety of drinks, including beers and cocktails. The food is highly regarded, with incredible pizzas being a standout feature. The staff are described as friendly, helpful, and professional, creating a welcoming atmosphere for visitors.
Had the pork for mains during the evening service. What an incredible dish, hats of to the chef for a most unique combination of flavours and textures. I've never experienced anything like it before in all my years of skiing resorts. Service was amazing, all staff were super friendly. Waitress was really lovely. Unfortunately, the desert I ordered,an apple strudel was cold and stodgy. After the mains,I had high expectations, but even just a hot crunchy crust would have been nice.
Gofres _ — Google review
The food is decent but very expensive, we ordered a pizza and a club sandwich, both arrived very fast. We decided a desert, the thin apple pie and it was abysmal, it was served cold, with a bad texture.
Nir T — Google review
Very good restaurant! The prices may be a bit higher than other restaurants but the quality of the food and service are worthy.
Alfredo-Giuliano M — Google review
Good service but just to expensive! For a 39 euro dish you expect that you would get a good portion. Flavor wise it was also pretty blend. Same for the lasagna which didn't surprise. Also, we were in and out in like 45 minutes. Good for a quick dinner but not what you expect when you pay a premium.
Ramon S — Google review
Lovely restaurant, the staff was accommodating and kind, food was delicious! Prices were a little steep but it’s to be expected in the alps. I would definitely recommend. They were accommodating to my food allergy restrictions also.
Katie M — Google review
Lovely venue, great views, friendly and helpful staff, blankets available, lovely to sit outside and watch the people and weather change in front of you. A really nice spot, like the rest of the area, expensive, very, hence the marking down of half a star. 4.5*

Great spot to sit in the sun and break for lunch during a day of skiing. Excellent pizza that came out quickly and tasted delicious. Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Highly recommend!

Our first time in VT and only here for 4 days, so choosing the right restaurant is important , so I’m writing this review having been there twice already. Last night and tonight have been exceptional, the food was fantastic no question, pizza last night and more special menu tonight, both have been delicious, but what makes this exceptional restaurant stand out is the level of service and quality throughout everything they do. From fab linen, table wear, incredible staff, fab loo’s etc etc the standard is awesome I totally love it here and wish La Face was around the corner from us in the UK. Thank you everyone for making our nights with you so special, love from the 4 of us, regards Colin ( possibly see you again before we leave)

Val Burger Pizza is a popular spot in Val Thorens known for its quick service and friendly staff. Despite some mixed reviews about the wait time and pricing, many visitors appreciate the non-greasy fast food options like fries and Croque Monsieur. While some customers have had less than ideal experiences, others rave about it being the best restaurant in Val Thorens. Overall, it seems to be a convenient choice for a satisfying meal while exploring the area.
Val Burger is the go to spot whenever you are hungry. Even if it is late at night, just after skiing, around 6pm. Pepperoni Pizza and Val Burger is worth every penny. Only reason i added 4 stars instead of 5 for Atmosphere is because there was no heating outside, so basically you eat in the cold. Love the place, if i ever come again to Val Thorens i will definitely eat there again!
Christos P — Google review
What can I say... the worst 'fast' food experience I've ever had. A 70 minute wait for dry, bland pizza. If you dare ask the staff how much longer your food will be, the staff just mock you (as they did to the other customer in front of me too). When we finally brought our food back we realised they had omitted the sauces and half the chicken (ordered and paid for). Do yourself and the resort a favour and go literally anywhere else in Val Thorens so this business can be replaced by one that actually cares about its customers and reputation.
John G — Google review
Average food, terrible service. Short-changed on food, a group of us got less food than we ordered. Food was waiting for us for 20 minutes without the number being called. When asked the server gave us a sarcastic "tourism board" response.. Genuinely a terrible service.
Henry L — Google review
Would rate 0 stars, rude and agressive workers. Never ordering again. Pizza takes 1 hour so be ready to wait. Pizza tastes ok but is burned, but Burger is pretty bad...
Maximilian J — Google review
Took 40 minutes for a burger and chips, burger man with the perm was genuinely cooking one burger at a time with row of about 15 tickets waiting. Spend an extra €5 to go somewhere else where you can sit down in the warm and be served faster than it takes light to travel from the sun to Jupiter.
Max L — Google review
I haven’t come across a place where the preparation of the food is so random. The whole process to handle a group of five people takes over 45 minutes, with what seems no logical order. Food was ok, so it is just a matter of better tuning the staff proceses. Reminds me of “the bear”
Mischa H — Google review
This is the slowest take away I have never seen, pizzas take 1 hour, so order and you wait standing out in the cold for 1h. I don't recommend it for pizzas, one small and oven, maybe burguers come out faster. Very frustrating
Cristina V — Google review
forgot to make it. After we realized they forgot about us, we approached them and mentioned it. However, we ended up getting our pizza 40 minutes later, after they had already served everyone who ordered after us and was in line. Terrible service. The staff pretended not to speak English and didn’t even try to make up for their mistake or speed things up in any way.

If you're looking for a cozy spot to grab a bite in Val Thorens, Winter Café is the place to be! This charming little eatery may be smaller than expected, but it packs a punch with its delicious offerings. Known for its efficient service and quality food, it's particularly popular for takeout. You might even spot quad bikes zipping around delivering meals throughout the night! While seating is limited to an outdoor terrace with just a few tables, the atmosphere remains inviting and friendly.
Dropped by for a burger today, what can I say, food was beautiful cooked, service couldn’t have been kinder if they tried and genuinely one of the tastiest burgers I have ever eaten, would come back everyday if I could!
David W — Google review
Having read the reviews of this place, we made it our first choice for dinner on our first night in Val Thorens. It’s only a small place and a lot smaller than I was expecting but the food was delicious. It seems to be very popular as a choice of delivered food. There are several signed up quad bikes parked outside and, once you know, you’ll see them out delivering throughout the night. Seating is all outside, on a small terrace. A few tables and a high bar table in front of the window. It will probably be a toss up between here and Sk’Ewok for the last meal of our holiday.

Wow! This small fast restaurant is just amazing. I had a chicken burger, it was absolutely delicious. The staff and the charmant Bar Chef doing a great job 👏 see you soon!
Daniel B — Google review
The prices are reasonable, especially for Val Thorens. However, the food was just okay overall. The pizza was disappointing, but the mac and cheese balls and chocolate muffin were quite good. It’s a budget-friendly option for the area, so the quality reflects that.
Toni M — Google review
Great value for money. Large verity of dishes. Not much places to sit so if it’s cold you should take away or order. Close to all of the bars
Yonatan B — Google review
For me this was the perfect burger. A fresh crisp seeded bun, fresh mixed leaves, fresh homemade meat patty with the most delicious melted raclette cheese. The burger sauce was so good also. I wanted to eat it twice. Plus the service was friendly and a nice atmosphere.

Inconsistent lattes. Sunday fine. Monday worst for a very long time: very little milk, very watery and scolding hot to an unsafe level. Staff completely uninterested in feedback and offered no resolution. I fear their location and lack of dependence on repeat custom leaves little incentive to change such poor customer service.
Alex C — Google review
Ordered one baguette and one cappucino. 20eur. The baguette was okey the cappucino was not good. No coffee taste and watery milk, possibly not real milk. The location and the sun made the place and its 2 stars.

They displayed a salad on a sign which didn’t have any salad other than a few spinach leaves which was full of quinoa. I asked the lady for a refund or exchange which she quickly responded with a no. Her name was Sophie and she was so rude. Many customers agreed she should at least exchange the salad for another item but she left the counter & would not discuss creating an unfriendly atmosphere.

(Translated by Google) Hello, I've been coming to Columbus Café for years; it's a real pleasure for me and my friends. But I feel betrayed to discover that on the farms that supply you, breeding sows spend nearly half their lives locked in cages, without even being able to turn around. Given this, knowing that Columbus is content with the minimum required by law is disappointing... 9 out of 10 French people oppose cage farming, so why continue? It's time you truly committed to respecting the Pig Minimum Standards, and that no sow should ever have to live behind bars again.
