Dylan's Menai Bridge is a modern waterfront restaurant offering stunning views of the Menai Strait and the iconic Menai Suspension Bridge. The restaurant specializes in seafood, particularly fresh Welsh mussels prepared with cream and cider. With a boatyard theme that complements its waterside location, Dylan's menu features locally sourced seafood and seasonal produce from the surrounding fields and hills.
Loved this place. Very popular place. Open plan kitchen. Service and decor is nice. Lovely food. Great views overlooking the menai straights. They sell their own delicatessen like sauces and chutneys. Not a cheap place but worth every penny.

Really glad we came here for dinner. Gemma, our waitress was really nice and attentive. She looked after us really well. Rang up the day before hoping for a table of 8 with 2 dogs and they were really nice and were able to accommodate us at such short notice. The mussels are a must! I would highly recommend this place.
Chanel H — Google review
Food here was first class- everything was so fresh and we loved the local products used throughout the menu. View was great and service was brilliant too. I will definitely be visiting the other restaurants soon!
Lizzie K — Google review
Seafood chowder was delicious. Muscle was a must have item. Seafood in general was great. Meat was slightly above average. Service was very good. The restaurant offered a surprise to my son. It’s his birthday night. So sweet!
Francis L — Google review
We sat upstairs and the view is fantastic as was the food. We had the calamari, lamb on hashbrown to start followed by seafood linguine and king prawns. Couldn't fault the food. The only thing I can fault was that we weren't greeted as we entered the restaurant. We had to wait a while until someone spoke to us but apart from that our experience was fantastic. Visit you won't be disappointed.
Hello M — Google review
Had a great meal here with my sister while visiting the area. My sister is allergic to shellfish and the staff were right on top of her menu choices - really great to see. I had the mussels (even though this is a “wrong” month for eating them) and they were divine - I haven’t had anything even close to them in terms of taste since Iived in Normandy. We were really pleased to be given a table in the patio area, which had great views of the water.
Laura J — Google review
Best to book a table online as it’s always really busy. Worth the wait though because the food is delicious and the views are stunning. The outdoor patio area is definitely the best way to capture the panoramic views and smell the salty sea breeze.
Anna P — Google review
Amazing food, beautifully presented but whilst the staff were nice enough, the service was slow and they clearly didn't have enough people on to deal with the amount of walk ins they accepted. Location is fab, terrace has a stunning view (but you will be fighting off sea gulls!) But the staff need a more experienced manager (or one on shift!) to organise them.

Fine dining restaurant
Sosban and The Old Butchers Restaurant is a renowned dining establishment in Wales, offering elevated British cuisine within the unique setting of a historical butcher shop. The restaurant prides itself on using locally sourced ingredients to create surprise tasting menus that have earned them four AA rosettes and a Michelin star. Despite its popularity, securing a table at Sosban can be challenging due to high demand, but the exceptional food and service make it well worth the wait.
Having tried on and off for 8 years to get in to Sosban, a stroke of luck had us finding a booking the day after my birthday. It did not disappoint - a tiny venue with space for 12 across three tables, our sitting had 8 (4, 2 & 2). Incredibly intimate, as the experience begun with the chef, Stephen talking us through the various beverage options all personally curated & selected. Not a menu in sight. The way the evening is curated, with mind-blowing food throughout, will blow you away. If you're lucky enough to get a table, make sure to go! Sustainable cooking, mind bending flavours & ingredients, friendly staff - it has it all.
Morgan W — Google review
Very enjoyable evening with engaging staff. Chef very knowledgeable and passionate about his food and wine, giving background to each course and advice on the wine to accompany. A gem of a restaurant on the high street.
Jayne L — Google review
This was the second time we ate here, and it certainly won’t be the last. As this outstanding restaurant uses seasonal produce we intend on going back later in the year. I have never eaten food like this; in fact it’s more like an explosion of all your senses rather than eating food - a truly extraordinary experience. As this is a fixed menu, where all the diners enjoy the experience together, it’s quite a unique evening. Stephen, the head chef and owner, who clearly has one of the most well defined palate’s along with the knowledge of science behind food and food prep, greets you with an overview of the evening to come. You can see each course being prepped at the pass and Stephen explains the reasons, the ingredients and the process of each course along with the paired wines. His knowledge is extensive and skills are insanely honed! Real nice guy too. It was an absolute joy to be part of such culinary experience within such cool surroundings. The food is the best I’ve tasted anywhere in the world and the journey he takes you on just blows your mind and your senses. Kasabian as the soundtrack was a stroke of genius! Service was consistently attentive and what a cool environment! If you ever eat at one fine dining restaurant in your life, let it be this one.
Stephen S — Google review
I should imagine it’s not fine finding if you don’t know what you’re having. I can’t seem to find any menus 👀. If you’re going to charge people £175* for small food samples please include what they are going to be eating so people won’t diss like them. I’m assuming once cooked and not knowing what you’re going to have may result in people not liking it or eating it all. I also assume probably a fact that you wouldn’t give the money/refund back from the booking if people don’t like the food as they can’t see a menu to prepare from 👀 We have found another lovely restaurant that’s cheaper yet offer fantastic food choices. Unfortunately you might have been a hit and good review if there was a menu supported before paying a big deposit/price for the “food” you offer. Without seeing the food it’s a weird mystery and to much at price on the line for not knowing what food you will get. (Your online website is complicated and don’t show a menu) In business simple is sometimes better off.
J B — Google review
An absolutely top notch evening. No menu & no particular wine list, just enjoy everything. Just 8 covers when we dined there which makes for an intimate dining experience.
Andrew H — Google review
Food extraordinary, but not in a good way. Service attentive. Booked this restaurant because it had received rave reviews, unfortunately, 2 of my guests found it difficult to eat most of the food served. So much so that I decided we couldn’t face any more of these tastings and had to leave the restaurant. We had already paid £294 as a deposit for four and I offered to pay a further £500. The chef (owner) refused this offer and insisted that we pay £1000 in total! I paid this amount under aggressive duress from the chef and his partner. Hugely disappointing.
Geoff R — Google review
Fantastic 1 star Michelin restaurant. Extremely attentive service with first class food. Booking essential. A 'hidden' tasting menu where you are told what each course is as you get It. (Ring ahead if you have any intolerances etc) The food is out of this world. Unusual food combinations at times which work so very well. Highly recommended
Sarah T — Google review
This was the weirdest experience at a Michelin restaurant I've ever had. I must say that the food itself was phenomenal but everything else was just off. A huge pet peeve of mine is a lack of price transparency. We save hard to be able to afford such experiences and we should be granted with the ability to choose the price of our wine. There was no wine list and no pricing, just a recommendation by the head chef which I think is jarring and pretentious. It's such a tiny restaurant which could be intimate and warm but instead the atmosphere was awkward and quiet. The head chef tried to encourage diners to approach the pass and chat throughout plating but it all feels performative and the diners feel like we're inconveniencing him. I did however enjoy the story he told with each course. Then we move onto the waiter. I keep repeating how awkward the whole experience was. The waiter had no interpersonal skills and no gift of the gab. He repeated the same closed questions to each table of diners and spoke so quietly we had to ask him to repeat himself so many times. If we ate too slowly he would hover. He was not attentive with drinks orders. However he did keep on coming to the table to move around the wine and water glasses on the table, constantly and unnecessarily moving them from where I'd set them down with my right hand over to the left hand side. I felt as if I was getting in his way. After finishing, paying the bill felt rushed and there was no desire to hang about and enjoy a night cap in such a weird atmosphere. Such a shame that the service and atmosphere were so weird as the food was a delight.

The Oyster Catcher, situated in Rhosneigr, offers an extensive seasonal menu featuring the finest British cuisine with freshly harvested oysters and locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant's beachfront location and stylish interior make it a perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family. Known as one of the best pub restaurants on the island, it is also dog-friendly, offering limited seating inside and ample space outside for furry companions.
We visited on a Monday without having a reservation. Good car park with lots of spaces. Quite a pleasing modern building. For a Monday we were suprised at how busy it was. Nevertheless we were greeted and shown to a window table as soon as we entered. All the staff were attentive and very welcoming. Orders for drinks were taken straight away and we were given plenty of time to peruse the menu. The first floor view over the dunes from our table was a great bonus. We ordered the fish with chips after reading other reviews. The food was delivered quite promptly with little wait. It was well presented and cooked very nicely. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and didn't feel at all rushed. As to price for two meals plus two drinks our bill was £52. We would visit again.

Modern, contemporary restaurant with beautiful views. The food was very nice, particularly the crab salad which was very fresh. The service was very friendly, but slightly disjointed at times with some small details missed such as needing to ask for side plates for starters. Overall, a lovely place to eat, would recommend.

Visited here on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of parking and it's close to the beach ⛱️ 😎, free parking. Large establishment located right near the beach, you're able to walk just over the dunes and you're at the beach. You have to order your food outside at Pat's Shack then you receive a buzzer when your food is ready. There's also an option to sit upstairs in the restaurant which has a different menu. Great place to eat & drink.

Our second visit this week. It's a lovely bar with great staff and very friendly atmosphere. Plenty of parking and dog friendly with a dog watering station outside. There's lots of seating inside the bar downstairs and outside seating overlooking the car park and sand dunes. There is a restaurant upstairs but I didn't get a chance to check this out. A very popular bar and base for local walkers and people visiting the beach. Quieter during the week and very lively at the weekend but to be fair, it was a bank holiday weekend. There is a small fast food outlet here as well that serves pizzas and other snack food. Well worth a look if you're in the area.

Excellent restaurant with a verry special setting. A wonderfully designed building, purched on the edge of the bay. The food was exquisite and the selection wad varried. Great for larger parties or a solo foodie.

Came across this place while on a walk so stopped for a coffee and some food. All the staff were so so lovely, I didn’t get any names but this made it the type of place I’d come to regularly if I lived nearby. coffees were lovely, loads of drink choices of all types and the food stall had pizzas, loaded fries and rice bowls which all looked incredible. We had the Korean chicken loaded fries and they were great. Overall great place with music playing, really friendly staff and lovely food.

Freckled Angel is a trendy hotspot in Menai Bridge, offering elevated British small plates in an intimate atmosphere. The restaurant has been a popular choice for both locals and tourists, known for its bright and breezy dining room adorned with angelic motifs and large windows that allow plenty of natural light to filter in from the Straits.
Delicious small plates with innovative twists on traditional dishes at a reasonable price. The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere could have been a bit better. It was quite relaxed but we were seated upstairs where the big groups were and it was a bit loud at times. I would suggest to sit downstairs for quieter tables if you are not in a group.

Me and the wife visited last night for our anniversary meal. Although the restaurant was busy not once did we feel anything was taking too long. Staff were amazing and very friendly. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest meals out we've ever had. I had the surf and turf burger (highly recommend👌🏼) but also fancied trying a couple of the tapas dishes. Although it was too much food there was not a chance I was leaving any. Ox cheek, wow! Hats off to the chefs. The wife fancied a mojito, after trying hers I had to order one for myself. We had a lovely evening and can't wait to visit again soon. Big thanks to all the team!! Jake & Beth

The food is absolutely gorgeous for somebody that is really fussy with flavours. I’m very basic eater. This was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend.
Kings — Google review
July 22 visit (I updated one word on the review, it changed the date to Oct 2023) I love a good small plates restaurant and these eats, were some of the best I've ever have. Usually when doing reviews, I tend to give a four star place five stars, as people underscore (plus no 4.5 option exists). But I cannot rate this place highly enough. As someone that uses Google maps a lot, I hope people will give it a try. We booked online easily enough, which is probably prudent during busier hours. They did have a large party upstairs apparently, so that's is an option for those interested. The food itself was excellent quality, reasonably priced for small plates, with pleasant staff and decor. One couple did come with a toddler, when we went early evening (at opening). So it's fine for kids I would say if necessary. Not sure if they have a kids menu. As a side note, some of the meal names did tickle us. Retired dairy cow being the one that sticks to mind.
Tom ( — Google review
This is a spectacular experience/meal. We ordered a little bit of everything and left fully satisfied after sharing them among the 7 of us. Best mojito I’ve ever had. Each plate was thoughtful and deliciously composed. You’ve got to make a reservation as a heads up.
Alyce L — Google review
Dined at a few great restaurants in Menai Bridge the past few days, and we are glad that we ended our last dinner at Freckled Angel. The food was served in Tapas style, with very creative selections. The flavours were very well balanced with various textures, which excited and delighted the taste buds. All of the dishes that we had were delicious, especially the cod and the pork belly. The Yuzu meringue was amazing, and the chocolate parfait was to die for. The staff were friendly and efficient. If you have to choose only one place to dine while in Menai Bridge, book Freckled Angel!
Thi K — Google review
Lovely, friendly staff is the highlight of Freckled Angel. The pig cheek starter was good. The katsu chicken burger also good. The menu is trying to be different but not quite hitting the mark. £7.20 for a pint seemed quite steep for Menai Bridge. The offer just wasn't coherent. Thank you for the welcome, but I'm not sure we'd be back, sorry.

Restaurant
Located in the picturesque Red Wharf Bay, Ship Inn is a charming 16th-century pub offering stunning views of the coastline and harbor. The cozy wood-beamed pub serves up hearty fare, a wide selection of whisky, and several real ales. It's known for being super dog-friendly with both indoor and outdoor seating options, including beach huts in the garden.
We had one of the best Sunday roasts we've ever tasted here. Busy but we managed to find a seat. Service was excellent. Lovely pub. I've only given a 4 for atmosphere because there were so many dogs but I accept that's only my personal opinion.
Pam D — Google review
Lovely pub right on the bay with a big beer garden out the front with lovely views and a large free car park. Food was good with big portions although the menu was fairly limited but all the usual pub favourites were there. Very dog friendly both inside and out and very friendly and welcoming staff.
Joanne M — Google review
I read a few reviews whilst looking for dog friendly pubs in the area and I'm glad that I came across this establishment. The first time around I went for the crab sandwich with a side of whitebait and it was outstanding. The sandwich was fresh and I'm not sure if it was a touch of dill, the freshness or some sort of secret ingredient they add to the crab. The whitebait had a perfect light and seasoned coating. One of the best lunches in a very long time, so good I returned the following day. When I returned I noticed the specials board and they had a 1/2 lobster special, with a larger sharer available which essentially turned it into a surf and turf. It was special indeed! The staff were friendly and helpful. I hope to return one day.

I’ve been going to The Ship since I was a child, so I was a bit skeptical when I heard it was under new management. However, my partner and I went for a meal tonight and it was absolutely lovely. The food was still great, and the service was excellent too. We were served by a lady called Stacey who was great. It’s nice to see The Ship has been left in good hands!

The location was truly beautiful, offering wonderful views outside that enhanced the overall experience. We ordered the bone-in steak, which was generously sized, perfectly cooked, and the staff kindly suggested sharing one between two people. They were very accommodating, providing extra plates and sides to ensure it felt like a complete meal. Everyone we encountered was exceptionally helpful and friendly, including the following day when they kindly assisted with information regarding a lost mobile phone. While the décor and fittings showed a bit of wear, a fresh coat of paint and a few replacement furnishings in a few areas could easily elevate the space to match the high standard of hospitality.

Lovely food. The chowder was excellent and the general view and vibe lovely. We took a stroll from Traeth Coch Pentraeth car park, around the bay, for lunch here, before walking back at low tide. Would recommend! Food, including burgers were good, though £20 is a bit much for a burger and chips, even in this day and age, same for a chowder though there was plenty of seafood in it, which isn’t always the case.
Michael W — Google review
This place is about the location and the location is outstanding. We visited on a sunny weekday afternoon as we passed through the area… I am so glad we made this a place to go … leave the main road and treat yourself to a stop here. People and dog friendly indoor and outdoor seating. We didn’t eat so I can’t rate the food but it looked good. We sat with a beer and soaked up the peace. The staff were chatty and polite. Interested in our bikes and travel. I aim to be back.

Read about this place online, sounded well worth a visit so booked a table the day before. Arrived and seated quickly, ordered drinks and food. Food was fantastic! No complaints whatsoever. And the snickers trifle has to be the best desert I've ever had!!!

Really nice staff, kindly moved us upstairs where it was a little more quiet. Service was pretty quick even on a busy Saturday evening. We were pretty much left on our own, the staff checked in once or twice but we didn’t feel bothered by them like in some places. We ordered some nachos for starter and then the seafood platter for two. The portion was so big we could not finish it and ended up taking a lot of it with us but it was absolutely delicious!

Hadn’t made a reservation but they found us a table very quickly. Myself and my wife were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience we received by the friendly staff. Service was excellent. Drinks arrived so quickly even though the place was very busy followed by our main, and what a main it was absolutely fantastic so tasty with proper roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and gravy. We had a two course a main and a pudding,I suggest other so called pubs and restaurants locally call in there quietly and see how it done

The Tavern on the Bay is a contemporary seaside tavern that offers a range of delicious food. It was originally constructed as a marine cottage in 1924 and has since become one of the top dining spots in Anglesey. Recently, it underwent an impressive renovation worth £700,000, resulting in an exquisite and enjoyable experience for all visitors. The establishment provides breathtaking views of Red Wharf and Benllech Beach, creating a serene atmosphere to unwind while admiring the surroundings.
We came here just as it opened for lunch. They managed to fit us in despite it being fully booked an hour later. The service was excellent and the food was lovely. No complaints. The view is exceptional here. Probably it’s biggest asset. I’d advise booking to be sure of a space. A seafood and chilli linguine would have been a great addition to the menu. Great staff, great food and great location.

We had the lamb which was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables and the crushed potatoes, the profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding were also delicious for desert, it's a high end gastro pub in style so don't mind paying a little bit more and treating yourself to a delightful meal every now and then

Just had a Sunday roast here. It was served hot and cooked well, with good flavour overall. Personally, I felt the portion of meat could have been more generous, and the roast potatoes were a bit disappointing—just one large one cut in half. The Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and lacked substance. The service was good, and the views are fantastic, but the piano music was quite loud, making conversation difficult if you're seated nearby. Overall, not a bad Sunday roast in a lovely location.

The Midland Tapas and Wine Bar is a chic and intimate restaurant that offers Spanish-style small plates with a focus on seafood, complemented by a selection of wines and sherry. It provides a sophisticated dining experience without children, making it perfect for an intimate meal.
One of the best tapas I have had, every dish was really tasty and great quality. The pork belly, falafel and garlic mushrooms were stand out dishes for me

The staff were very busy but still had time to see you were happy. Ensured we were happy with our selection. The food was utterly delicious and presented well. Best Tapas we’ve had anywhere. Only visiting the area but would highly recommend it, will go back when we visit again. The chef gave us a wrong dish but I said it was lovely and they gave us our original dish for free. How good was that!

I'm sorry to say, this was a big disappointment. Food portions on the whole are very small. Some items like the bread and patatas were very generous but others were barely a bite. Ordered patas bravas, it didn't come. Asked one of the waiters, was told it was coming. 20 minutes later, told it was missing from the bill, asked if we still wanted it. Another 15 minutes go by... At this point we are well passed eating all our other items. Asked them to cancel it so we could get the bill, then then still tried to charge us for it! The staff were very nice and the place is lovely and clean. It's just a shame it's overpriced and there were not enough staff to manage, leading to errors and poor communication.

We had a brilliant meal at The Midland Tapas and Wine Bar last night. The food was genuinely excellent - some of the best tapas we’ve had outside of Mallorca, and that’s saying something! Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Our waitress, Mia, was also fantastic - friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. A bonus: it’s dog friendly too, which made the experience even better for us. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality tapas in a relaxed and welcoming setting.
Carlos S — Google review
We arrived for our table 10 minutes early. The table wasn’t ready (understandably) and instead of suggesting we grab a drink at the bar, the waitress told us to come back later. The food was absolutely awful. We had the chorizo with fries and egg. The eggs were dreadful, and the chorizo was pale and cold. The croquettes were soggy, sat in oil from the fryer, and also cold. Their service was poor at best, and the waitress didn’t check on us during the meal. When I explained that the two dishes were inedible, she took one of them off the bill. I then had to ask for the other to be removed. She then asked how everything was! I said it was awful and she replied with ‘sorry to hear that’ and walked away! The whole experience was terrible! The wine was good though!

A strange (in a nice way) place. The concept is tapas but they do full size pizzas and other non Spanish type dishes. The food was good our favourite was the Peeking Pig. We don’t get a chance to return but would go back. Is dog friendly

What. A. Place!!! This was one of the nicest collections of small plates I've ever eaten. And I've been to a fair few tapas restaurants in my time. The atmosphere inside was bustling but not loud, the owner was working this night and she was just lovely. Every member of staff had a great attitude, and you could just tell that every customer was having a great time. Match all of this up with the gorgeous and well-priced food, and you can tell why the place was full. I can't wait to go back!

Just had a lovely meal here with my mum, its a curious little place full of charm and that included the welcome we received. The atmosphere is cosy and comfortable, the staff had a perfect mix of attentiveness without being over burdoning. The food was excellent, portions are substantial and fairly priced. The only thing I was dissapointed about was that it wasn't busier for their sakes because its a deserved little spot. Will defo return, can not wait to try some more of their menu.

I found them on Google, randomly searching for a place to have lunch. They were busy but they found a place for us - a strike of luck! The bistro is in a great location and has a nice sea-themed decor. They also have a decent food and drink choice. The staff and service is amazing. Please, book in advance if you want to ensure that you will get a table. Ideal for couples and bigger groups as well. Highly recommended!

We didn't make a reservation so they could only seat us at 1+pm which wasn't a problem. We just walked along the promenade to build up an appetite! So four hungry people ordered a crab & lobster sandwich, a seafood bisque with homemade spicy rum infusion, a hamburger and a haddock fish and chips. The bisque was great especially with the spiced rum. And the owner seeing is so taken with it, poured an extra tot off the run first is two taste neat! Very nice! The fish and chips were great as well. The fish was very fresh and the chips were extra crispy. The other set of chips were kind of fat so less crispy and needed ketchup 😁 The other two dishes were good but not as memorable as the bisque and fish. The dishes were large as well and we had to give up on dessert and coffee! Will definitely return, this time with a reservation!

Harry's Bistro is a charming dining spot located within the picturesque Henllys Hall, offering a modern British cuisine with a Welsh influence. Overlooking the historic town of Beaumaris and its medieval castle, this bistro provides a contemporary twist to traditional dishes using locally sourced produce. The carefully curated menu and wine list, along with popular specials board, make it one of Anglesey's top dining destinations.
I was treated to lunch thanks to my Girlfriend at Harry's Bistro after all the hard work I had done for her. The decor is to be desired for, as I found it to be a little out of date but some nice touches with the antique welsh dressers and mural. Service was Flawless, attentive and could not fault. The food came out piping hot as it should be in every restaurant and Bistro. Atmosphere and surroundings were peaceful and tranquil, such a lovely place in an amazing location. I had the Roast Chicken, my Girlfriend had the Special, Seabass. Desserts were Brandied bread and butter pudding and I had the Special, Sticky Pear and Stem Ginger Pudding with clotted cream, this was superb. Our meal came to £80 including 1 Peroni Lager. I highly recommend this place and I think I will be going back sometime soon.

Dined at Harry’s again last night. This is one of our favourite restaurants in the UK. The food, service and attention to detail are all excellent. Can’t believe the very rude American couple who came in expecting fast food service. They were very rude to the hostess and left without paying for their drinks!
Mike T — Google review
Our second visit to Harry's after discovering this gem on our holiday to Beaumaris last year. The food is simply delightful. Quality ingredients treated with the utmost care and respect and presented beautifully. Starters were the crab with sourdough crumpet and the smoked salmon rillette. Mains roast leg of Welsh lamb with roast potatoes and vegetables and the pan fried cod fillet special. Both were excellent, tasty, well presented and healthy sized portions. Desserts we plumped for Nia's cheesecake and the warm sultana cake. Both again were indulgent and delicious. Washed down with a couple of bottles of wine this was a relaxing sumptuous Sunday lunch. If you're looking for a cheap and cheerful Sunday lunch then this isn't for you. If however you're looking for top quality ingredients lovingly prepared then you need look no further. Well worth the extra money. PS The staff and owners are amazing and make you feel like family. Already looking forward to our next visit

Amazing food, truly was stunning. I just wish I'd taken a photo of my goat's cheese moose starter! Only shame was no drinks on draft and we were sat in a dark corner of the room and were put on two separate tables so we were unable to socialize with the rest of the family.

We visited Harry's Bistro on the first night of our honeymoon, and it set such a high bar for the rest of the trip. The food was absolutely divine, and the staff went above and beyond, even helping us to secure a taxi, and insisting we stay slightly after closing so we didn't have to wait in the rain until it arrived (we hadn't realised that we would have to book a return taxi to the hotel in advance or they would all be booked out) thank you so much for the food and the memories, we can't wait to come back soon!
Ruby B — Google review
Extortionate for what it is, food was average, portions small. £16 for a bit of crab on a crumpet. Service was really good, but no atmosphere.
Jessica J — Google review
Not bad - nice serving team - decor and ambience feel quite dated and the food was average for the price. Desserts are expensive (£11) and chocolate mousse was more of a tort.

The staff and manager greeted us a group of 7 ladies warmly after a last minute booking. The food, drink was amazing with tender pieces of meat and fish all well cooked and tasty. Great place to stay, central location, room was really and had everything we needed. Staff were super friendly. Dinner was great quality and good value with no waiting. Only downside is the lack of parking, though a short walk away is free parking after 16:30 till 10:00

Stayed here this weekend (2 nights). Fantastic pub and cosy rooms, really friendly staff. The pubs has two bars plus a restaurant area, all of which have a great atmosphere and classic pub feels. We had breakfast included which was a help yourself to drinks and cereals/ yogurts/ fruits plus a cooked option which you order. Went for the Welsh breakfast both mornings which was good. Also ate in the bar one evening and had wings to start followed by the burger. You can order from the table using a QR code however that didn't include the specials so we had to order from the bar in the end. Not a problem at all. Good location next to the castle. Would definitely recommend this place.

Fantastic experience at The Black Boy Inn! The food was spot on — fresh, full of flavour and served nice and hot. The beer was great too, really good selection and perfectly poured. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was relaxed but lively at the same time. You can tell there’s real care and pride in what they do here. Definitely one of the best places around for good food and a proper pint. Highly recommend! 🍻

Restaurant looking good, very cosy (at least room first on right). I receive very tasty lamb shank, and my wife got a lovely pie, all piping hot. Not cheap but not crazy expensive either. We left restaurant full and satisfied. Highly recommended!!

The location itself is fine, the pub is a historic inn, located within the castle walls and looked worth a visit when we were looking at places to eat and drink. We didn't have a meal here but dropped in twice during our stay in the town. Both occasions I had the pleasure of being served by one of the rudest members of staff I've ever encountered. Definitely won't bother again.
Gareth L — Google review
Can’t comment on the hotel/rooms as we just visited the restaurant. Ordered the lasagne and mixed grill. The mixed grill was fine but the lasagne was really odd - not at all like the traditional dish - no layers, no sauce in the mince, no white sauce - just minced beef with a sheet of lasagne on top and topped with chopped tomatoes and cheese. Really bizarre and not at all to our taste. Can’t say we would return but the atmosphere was nice, service was fine - maybe we just ordered the wrong dish!

A return stay at Black Boy Inn, we’ve enjoyed their unique and spacious rooms inside the confines of the old walled city. The beds have all been very comfy. They have 16 on-site parking spots (albeit snug), with 4 EV chargers at 22kw. They’ve a Restaurant, a Pub, and a Bar. The included Breakfast was a very good start to the day.

After going to a sister Pub 'The Oyster Catcher' we had to go to this place and we weren't disappointed with the atmosphere, drinks and food. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our pooch even had great service with a barrel of water with loads of water bowls to choose from. At to top it all he was given a couple of treats. Hidden Gem! This place is wonderful, as you head down the country lanes to get there. You think are we nearly there? Set beautifully in the middle of no where, the setting inside and out is stunning. We sat inside under the glass roof. Only complaint was it really warm in this location. The food was amazing, no complaints from a table of 7. I had the fish and chips and it was massive! I couldn't finish it...photo attached. The sticky toffee pudding was also fantastic. Massive slab of pudding enough to feed 3 of us. I would highly recommend the white eagle.

A bit out of the way and we'll the trip. Very dog friendly. The food was excellent and a good variety on the menu. A word of warning they are large portions, so order with care. The staff are very friendly and the service is very good. Will definitely be back.

Been there before for a special occasion Food and service is good but can be a hit and miss at times. Vegetarian meals are limited. They welcome dogs but stopped offering the dedicated dog menu they used to offer.
Highbarnet — Google review
We visited here since previously walking past and wanting to give it a try. On arrival, it was pretty busy and (totally our personal problem) we have a reactive dog. This place had quite a lot of dogs and children so the staff allowed us to stay outside where you’re not normally supposed to be served food. We really appreciated this and it made the world of difference and we really appreciate the staff going out of their way to accommodate us. The menu was classic with a decent range, slightly on the pricier side, however every single thing we ordered was really tasty and the service was great, despite the business, which justified this. I had some small plates which were great, the hot honey chicken wings were a favourite, and the fish and chips was a great portion, as well as the steak which was well cooked with really well cooked, soft but crispy chips. Lovely location for a walk before/after also. Would definitely recommend here, whether it be for a drink or food! And if we lived closer we would definitely return.

Very nice location, beautiful views from the outdoor area, good food, if a little pricey. Downside is the approach lane is single track, and Rhoscolyn is off the beaten track, but that's what keeps us going back.

This was a stand out place in Beaumaris. Lovely interior, and dog friendly, too. The food was fantastic. We ordered a burger and loaded fries -- the sauces were clearly homemade, and rich and tasty. The coleslaw was also homemade, with subtle flavour rather than overpowering onion. The burger had the most delicious smoked bacon and I can't stop thinking about it - will definitely be back. Highly recommended if you want food cooked from scratch rather than something thrown together.

For the price, I would like to be asked how my eggs are cooked and the choice of toast! The quality of the ingredients was good although one hard bacon and one soft Hash brown was lush! But at the best part of 15£ for a breakfast I would expect quality sauce not cheap fruity ones!!

Fantastic sea front cafe in Beaumaris. Food was top notch. Great value and very tasty. Family tried lots of different dishes over few and enjoyed them all. The Fish Pie is highly recommended.
Phil S — Google review
An exceptional cafe! We had a collection of wonderful dishes for breakfast that day. We started with a variety of fried, scrambled as well as pushed eggs, which were served with bunch of various delicious sides such as beans, baby tomato and Spinach, that all in all enriches the meal and valuable, no doubt. Enjoyed their coffee prepared with milk and special tea with a light dessert to conclude the narrative. Absolutely a wonderful atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the splendour of the distinguished and kind staff. Well done!
Hani S — Google review
I had a toasted teacake, which cost £4.50!!, this arrived approx 10 mins before a cup of coffee and my wife had a cup of tea. Total cost £12.50!! During the 20 minutes we sat in the cafe, we witnessed over 10 people asking where their food / drinks were, requesting some level of basic service or complaining. This business is very poorly managed and offers extortionately expensive mediocre products combined with a very poor level of service. Avoid at all costs and maybe they will revisit their opportunistic profiteering practices and treat customers with less complacency and a little more respect.
Andrew O — Google review
Really nice place but let down by the food. It came out quickly, but too quickly - the chowder had obviously been sitting waiting under a hot lamp. There was a skin on it and when I opened the butter pack for the bread it was just liquid and went everywhere. The chowder was bland and had no prawns
Jodie T — Google review
The last time I visited Anglesey and The Pier Hotel was 2019. The gorgeous Welsh Rarebit was then £6. Still pricey but worth it. This time, it was basically a melted bit of cheese on dry focaccia and cost £12.50. As I had ordered this for myself and my Dad, plus 2 lattes, I ended up with a bill for £34!!!!!! Vastly overpriced. Constant warnings to mind the seagulls didn't nick our food and seats crammed too close together. I heard customers on the seats at the front, complain chairs were too low for comfort and one left without ordering. Sadly, I would not recommend this venue.

Last night I took my young family there and have never had to complain and leave an establishment, before even been served our main before! Hopefully they can sort going forward as it’s a great building in a great spot!

It breaks my heart to say this since I have been coming to The Bull with the family for many years, but it was clear this year that the standards have gone completely downhill. The restaurant manager and food offerings are nowhere near as good as they used to be. One night we waited one hour for the food. My husband's meal seemed to be like a ready meal. On the day we left, there was instant coffee, intermittent bread and butter, no tongs to pick up the bread which everyone was handling. The beautiful pain au chocolat that used to be there are now clearly freezer heat and serve. The staff seem to be unhappy and not properly trained. I cannot blame the manager for kitchen staff not coming to work, but I can blame her for not listening to customers. She spent most of the evening talking the tables around us down, to prevent them from making a complaint, ignoring the other customers. There is a lot of goodwill for The Bull built up over years (this place was stellar), but this will be lost if things continue like this. The Inn Group need to stop cutting corners to reduce costs and look at the staffing and training situation urgently!!

Could be great - clearly short staffed on day we ate there (? Need more staff?) Made a booking but on arrival took them about 10mins to sort a table - just had us stood in a busy bar area with no communication as they tried to make a table. Service then was terrible - was bar ordering which took about 15mins until served due to only one staff taking orders and making drinks, not a nice relaxing experience at all. Food was nice, however cheese and onion pie ordered for two of our party and was meat pie when it arrived - terrible! Outside beer garden is lovely. Need more staff and better orgainisation.

The restaurant's rich history includes being run by different generations of families, with the latest husband and wife team taking over after working there for many years.
Perfect good. Strong portions. Hake starter was great, prawn cocktail was good. Grilled lobster tastes beautiful and the fish pie was ok but only had 1 prawn in it and the rest was salmon, which was disappointing. Would visit again as I have been here 3 times not on my visits. Not much atmosphere but could have been because we were the last seating … at 7::30 pm

Fabulous meal. We both had whitebait for starters and The Hot One for mains. This comprised of half a lobster, 3 beautifully cooked scallops, fish cakes and all the trimmings. The chips were outstanding too. Really good meal and very nice staff. We had our dog with us and were able to sit inside with him. Highly recommended and worth every penny. On our opinion was not at all over priced.

I love the lobster pot, obviously for lobster they are second to none. Beautifully dressed every time and so tasty. Location is fantastic too as church bay must be one of the nicest places on Anglesey. They are popular so service can be slow but once you have your food you’ll forget the wait.

We saw a sign on the road and decided to book being so close to sea side. They are dog friendly so we went..we were offered a table on an empty room, which we really like and not bothered about it when the staff makes the ambience. We were welcomed by 2 ladies that made us feel at home and looked after us throughout the evening. The great aspect about simplicity is the fact you can actually appreciate the quality of the product used: outstanding! We had a platter from the specials and starters. The calamari were tender and cooked to perfection and i loved the mackerel pate. The service by a young lady was spot on. The wine has all the essentials and very good price. Thank you team for a great night.

Sadly the food doesn’t worth the long drive to the restaurant. Lobster was tiny and rubbery, and it was quite pricey. Friendly services.

Lovely sunny Saturday evening and we chanced it and managed to get a table. The food was really good, the service was great. The staff were so responsive and wanted to help. I would recommend for food, although probably best to book to prevent disappointment.

I have severe allergies and the staff were very accommodating. They offered alternatives to items I couldn't eat, I'm very impressed and would highly recommend to anyone with allergies. They also offered the vegetarian kids dish in an adult size which was amazing. The restaurant was very busy but plenty of parking and tables. The atmosphere inside was really nice, even though it was busy we were able to have a proper conversation and hear each other. Tables and facilities were very clean.

This is a great pub for food. Never a bad meal after 4 visits. The menu is varied and had some great choices. Service is normally very good with staff being friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is okay, although noise levels can interfere The Wednesday pub quiz at 9pm is recommended and well attended. Get there early though to bag a seat

Called in without booking and they fit us in even though it was busy. Staff were very friendly, orders taken and meals arrived in good time. We had a chefs special, sweet chilli chicken skewers, steaks strips with salad and halloumi salad. Food was absolutely delicious and generous portion sizes. Shame we could fit a dessert in! Would highly recommend 👌

The Anglesey Arms is a lovely pub in Caernarfon. You honestly can’t beat the location—right next to the castle with stunning views over the water. It’s the perfect spot to relax after exploring the town. It is lively but welcoming, with a great mix of locals and visitors. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely warm. Whether you're stopping by for a drink or staying for a meal, you’ll leave smiling. Highly recommend!

Food was amazing and the view breath taking. We wanted to visit the castle but stopped first at this lovely pub for food and we loved it. We will most definitely be back again. I totally recommend it.

The food was excellent; fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. The views were stunning, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. The beer was cold, crisp, and refreshing. Overall, a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this place for great food, service, and scenery.

Great location and views over to Angelsey. Had dinner here and it was tasty . Service was good and the young men doing the waiter service and bar were really polite and efficient. The only thing was the toilets were poor. They smelt bad and needed cleaning. On the wall was a vending machine selling dodgy, love aid tablets. This looked terrible. Added to the seedy toilet. This was the men's toilet. Get rid of it. Employ a good cleaner. Being dog friendly is a pub bonus.

Absolutely stunning location. Behind you is the castle, and in front of you are the Menai Straits, on a sunny day it is simply perfect. Highly recommended for the views alone! A lovely spot to rest the legs after a days walking and exploring. We were greeted by Candace, who helped us decide what to order and the service was fantastic throughout our time at the pub. Candace also recommended things to do in the local area which made our time at the pub even more pleasant. The food was lovely, the drinks were refreshing and the service was excellent. All the best!
Hayden W — Google review
Great views around the bay, staff were very nice. But our food was barely acceptable. I had sirloin steak which was really quite bad. Almost tasteless, dried out and over cooked. The chicken and mushroom pie was unfortunately no better. Lots of pastry and almost no chicken. I can't recommend for food.
Eire J — Google review
First visit for a few years because it became shabby, service got very slow, tables didn't get wiped very often and the wait for food was so long I could have swam to Anglesey and back. Called in a couple of days ago with a friend who was staying with me from London and thought I had walked into a different place. The new owner has made it cleaner and nicer, he is far more welcoming than the last time we went. I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat but we will go back now we know it has changed. Great views across the sea, great sunsets and plenty of seating outside too. Definitely worth a visit now
Dee E — Google review
Location of the pub is great and the staff were very friendly. We ate lunch here today and unfortunately it was not very pleasant. The steak I had was overcooked and chewy. The pies were dry. The meals arrived at differing times and it seemed two orders were forgotten. When the pie finally came it was stone cold in the middle. Just a really disappointing meal.

Amazing brunch spot, coffee and food were to die for, a must visit! Staff were very friendly and accommodating and knew the menu inside out. They didn't have any croissants when we ordered but advised they were baking some and let us know when they were ready, and they were 100% worth the wait!

Went for brunch and WOW, best I've had in a LONG time. The coffee was amazing and the breakfasts were SO tasty. My usual brekky is an eggs Benedict if eating out and although I was tempted by a big breakfast I went with the pork belly Benedict and it was gorgeous!! Also happy I had some room because we had caramel cruffins and they were to die for. Highly recommend if you're round the Newborough forest area, or anywhere else in Anglesey actually! The service and atmosphere was just as impeccable as the food. A real gem of a place 💎

A truly great find. Fresh local produce from their farm, local seafood, oysters from an oyster farm nearby, really lovely service. You’ll pay a bit more for this meal but it’s worth it for the amazing flavours you won’t get anywhere else. I’d say one of the best meals I’ve had out in years.

This is one of the best full breakfasts I've had in ages. You could just tell that the produce used was of really high quality. Good coffee and juice, and my mate's rhubarb juice that he ordered was a taste sensation. Friendly staff, nice decor, and we were even admiring the knives and forks. Not the cheapest you'll find, but I'd say it's worth it. It's also nestled a short drive away from one of the most stunning beaches you'll likely see anywhere.

Additionally, the cafe is praised for its friendly and helpful staff, making it a dog-friendly establishment with fast and attentive service.
Beautiful restaurant right by the sea. Perfect for a meal after a lovely walk along the sea front. The restaurant was stunning with sea theme related decor. Huge space and felt very welcoming. The food was delicious, fresh and well presented. Our waitress accommodated to my specific dietary requirements without any hesitation. Recommended the restaurant to a lady who stopped us in the car park and asked if we knew anywhere good to eat!

I was expecting this cafe & bar to be a typical seaside venue. I was so wrong. The food here is really top quality, presented to a high standard. The service is excellent. We only had small meals, but I would definitely consider returning for a larger plate of perhaps their seafood options. This is not a cheap cafe, so the prices reflect the high quality of produce.

Dropped in to the Sea Shanty for a quick drink before hitting the beach. Parking is beside the Sea Shanty great location for this fine establishment. Staff are super friendly and helpful, we didn't dine but looking at the food that was being brought out I would say it looked awesome. Beach is a stones throw from here. The bay is beautiful with a lovely sandy beach. We'll worth a visit to this fabulous part of Anglesey. We will definitely be returning to this lovely bay.

Lovely place to eat, right on the sea front with a big pay and display car park right next door! Lots of seating in here, nice log fire for when it’s chilly, dogs are welcome in here, loved the sea theme and the fishing forecast broadcast in the toilets! Lovely menu choices, with V / GF as well, alcoholic drinks and cocktails as well. We had the fillet steak sandwich and it was delicious. Friendly staff and quick service, it was busy here and it was out of peak season, can imagine how busy it would be in the summer! There is also an ice cream kiosk at the front of the restaurant. Would definitely come back here.

I’ve lived in the UK for a year, and this was the best meal I’ve had here! The seafood pasta was packed with crab, scallops, and mussels – full of flavour and delicious. The steak sandwich was also absolutely amazing! It’s a shame I couldn’t finish the chips. The interior was lovely – it felt like being in a theme park. I highly recommend this place!
Saya — Google review
I was told this is the best place in the area, and I can absolutely believe that is the case. In fact it's amazing that such a place exists in this location. We thought the food and the service were both excellent. Especially the Ramen and the Goat Curry. We also had local beer from Conway brewery. They have booths, which I like anyway, but these had a porthole that had a video of the sea which we thought was cool. The Music was really good if a bit too loud. My only criticism is that the table near us had several huge dogs that should not have been allowed inside a restaurant. I was told they don't let them in after six, but even so. There's plenty of tables, but I'd still recommend booking.
K Q — Google review
Lovely food, good service and nice atmosphere. Sea side themed restaurant with lots of decorations to admire. The seafood tagliatelle was wonderful and the ice cream selection is great, something for everyone

I just can’t adequately describe how much I enjoyed taking my very young family here for dinner this evening. Lovely helpful staff , faultless service and excellent food , which is also excellent value. The menu has great range and includes classics. I will treasure the memories of this place as the last night of our holiday . The interior is a fun , charming and interesting set of nautical collections . Including about ten boats hung from the ceiling ! It’s got a fantastic ice cream gelato counter to please children ( abd adults !) and…a real Nickelodeon that works ! My toddlers adored it , I have some delightful photos of them dancing by it. Don’t waste any more time researching where to go . Book now and just hope they have a table available!!!…. Thanks you Sea Shanty , we look forward to the next time we can visit .

Staff were lovely. The food was great quality and good value for money. The sweets were expensive however that's the norm wherever you go nowadays and you don't have to have them. We were a little confused as when booking we were looking for 7 pm for 8 people and was told they could only accommodate us at 5 pm, although the majority of tables were empty when we left at 8.15pm Maybe the kitchen closes early, not sure I'll ask next time All in all a great meal, good location, lovely staff, we'll be back before the weekend Christian Kelly Philbin Leonard family

A group of us went for a meal to this pub last month and I was expecting better. Very understaffed for the type of venue ended up ordering our own desserts at the till and then coffees as there were no staff to hand. The food portions were small for what you were paying, presented on small tapas style dishes to make you think you are getting more for you money. Although the food was tasty to be fair after it finally arrived on a quiet evening. The desserts were the most disappointing part of the meal. Once again very small portions of Sticky toffee pudding and lemon sponge with a dessert spoon of custard on the side! A Brookie (Half brownie and half cookie) was ordered also and it was rock solid! Who on earth pulls out a tray bake like this out of the fridge and puts it on a plate without microwaving it for at lease 15s to soften it. Quite the task to get the dessert spoon though it. Overall its a nice venue for drinks and a catch up but will not be going back for food anytime soon.

Lovely clean and tidy place, decor tasteful. Service as expected. Shame i had to ask why i had not replaced the beans/ black pudding on my breakfast with an alternative! Tried to charge the same until i said if not replaced i would expect a price reduction. Fortunately, he reduced the cost and apologised. Saying i should have said at the time, i said I did, but the waiter didn't listen. Shame it took the shine off, what would have been 5 stars.

The surroundings are beautiful and it's really good that children and dogs are made welcome. There is good disabled access via ramps but would not fit large mobility scooters. The restaurant is airy and the tables are not squashed together. There is a good variety of food available on the menu. The young man who served our desserts was a superstar. He was very proactive and offered good service. The Manager promptly and efficiently dealt with an issue that arose. The Seacroft is in good hands with this Manager.

Came to eat here during our stay in Anglesey at the start for the summer holidays. Found the staff very rude, three youngish girls stood at the bar more interested in their conversation than serving customer. Food was well below average for the price charged. I wouldn't recommend visiting. Only think it has going is a nice location.
John N — Google review
Brilliant location, just a shame about the food! Ordered a beef and pork Sunday dinner with a cauliflower cheese and truffle fries for my wife. Lunch arrived and I asked for Horseradish sauce… “we don’t have any” was the reply so asked for English mustard. The cauliflower cheese was cold so I asked the waiter to warm it up (and could have some gravy for the dry £20 Sunday dinner) this was also just Luke warm. The cauliflower cheese turned up again (and was still only warm, food should be piping hot) and I used the gravy to give my lunch some kind of warm feel. Do the chefs not probe any food to check temperatures? (There should be a record book in the kitchen with food probe checks recorded??) No check back was done so was unable to inform the staff of my unhappiness with the whole situation. Overall an average tasting lunch but cold and for me (as a restaurant owner) over priced for what we received. Had far better for far less money!

Not the best! We were really worried about coming here, after reading all the negative reviews.. If you think of this place as an expensive Wetherspoons, you wont be too disappointed. We booked a Deluxe room with a balcony, and it was boiling as soon as you went upstairs. We were fortunate as we brought our big fan (after reading the reviews) the tiny fan in the cupboard wouldn't have done anything to aid with how hot it was up there. In the shower room there was an almost empty toilet roll to last us for 3 nights, no hand wash just an empty dusty bottle alongside dirty hand cream and shower gel, mould in the shower and the "clean" towels had black make-up on them from the previous occupiers. The "cleaner" lady always looked very grumpy, so we didn't ask her for the thing's that we needed. luckily there was a store cupboard at the hall, so we found some clean towels and a couple of loo rolls. the draws and cupboards looked like they could do with a proper clean, under the bed was thick with dust! With the place being dog friendly, you'd hope that they'd keep on top of the hoovering. This is all thing's that numerous other customers have mentioned in the past comments and reviews... So nothing new... yet nothing has been done to rectify all of the cleaning issue's. Even the coffee cups were dirty with coffee stains and grime, so were the glasses. Just left for us to clean on arrival. Also squished bug's on the wall. On the first night we hadn't booked anywhere to eat, and the hotel kindly booked us in with them. We weren't looking forward to the food, due to the reviews.... We were seated and then we waited awhile with the menus to order... Only to be told that 6 item's on the already limited menu they were out of. So we ate elsewhere. what we saw coming out, didn't look good...We were definitely glad that we didn't order the evening food... Highly recommend The Sea Shanty that's a short walk down the road, also The Stores next-door is good also. I recommend booking to avoid disappointment. Also there is an Adsa 8 minuets away by car. The room's did let in a fair bit of noise, so bring your ear plugs. We were very tired when we got back, after being out all day. On the plus side the location is great! only a few minutes away from a beautiful beach. The breakfasts were amazing! We couldn't fault them. The Scottish male server and the Welsh male server on a morning were very polite and professional... they couldn't have been more friendly and attentive. I would give them both 5 stars. There is good parking also. The little beach is beautiful and it's only a couple minutes walk away. It's such ashame as with only a few improvements our score would have been very different. listen to your customer's... we visited in July 2025 As this place stands at the moment I wouldn't recommend or return to stay.

My wife and I traveled to Wales earlier this year, but we couldn’t get a table at The Boathouse. This time, with her parents and brother visiting, we went back to Wales and finally managed to eat there. The food was amazing, with plenty of great options both with seafood and without (which was perfect for me since I’m allergic). The meat dish was absolutely delicious! The themed atmosphere makes the whole experience really fun and special. There are lots of dessert choices, but we ate so much that we couldn’t fit any in. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We decided to have lunch here after a very breezy walk along the beach and I’m so glad we did. It’s obviously a popular place, not only for tourists but also for locals too, which is always a good sign. It’s not massive but there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the ladies serving are all lovely, polite and efficient too. The food was hot and plentiful (my OH had the small fish and chips and I had the Boathouse Chowder) as well as delicious too. Plenty of cakes to chose from for dessert and good coffee as well. No wonder people go back. If we’re around there again we will definitely be back too.

Nestled in the idyllic village of Moelfre on Anglesey's North East Coast, Ann's Pantry is a charming family-run café that has been delighting visitors since 1926. Originally two fishermen’s cottages, this spacious venue is just a stone's throw from the beach, making it an ideal stop for those exploring the area.
Nice little place. People were friendly as was the staff. Food such as the pantry breakfast was quite expensive at £14 but most of the produce was locally sourced and the quality is awesome, hence the price. The Homemade Fish Pie was also very nice. I love the quirkiness of the place. Highly recommend Ann's Pantry and will definitely be going back again.

Ann's Pantry here on Anglesey is a very special place indeed! :) It has the right food / drink, the right service, and of course the right location / atmosphere. We enjoyed the £23.50 per person Afternoon Tea, which was absolutely delicious! :) The food was really tasty and the drinks / tea / coffee were great too. The staff were excellent, the seaside location is also a real asset, near the Moelfre beachfront. As you can see from my pictures, visiting on VE Day 80 was particularly special! Beautiful little cafe and a gorgeous garden area. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The coffee is good and they even serve oat milk for no extra cost. The food/breakfast portions are quite small, simple and personally don’t think they are great value (all at £9+ per plate) and don’t come with what is listed on the menu (fresh fruit, banana ect). Would love to visit again and hope to see that they have improved this as it’s such a gorgeous spot! Unfortunately we all walked away still pretty hungry but luckily there’s an ice cream joint across the road 😃 It’s a plus that it’s dog friendly too 🐶

The menu boasts an array of homemade dishes, from hearty steak pie to comforting lasagne and flavorful minted lamb, with plenty of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available.
We loved the food at the Liverpool Arms . We tried 2 other places in Beaumaris but they weren't a patch on The Liverpool Arms. We dined there 4 nights out of 7 . We would thoroughly recommend it, the staff were so friendly too. There is a specials board as well as the main menu , the food was absolutely delicious. Well done to the chef.

What a lovely pub & hotel. Called in during a visit to Beaumaris. Plenty choice on the menu for gluten free. A few including dairy free options, but I stuck with the jacket potato and prawns, it was delicious. Lovely helpful staff, and a cozy warm atmosphere. I can't comment on the rooms as it was lunch only.

We went for lunch, when dropping our daughter off at Bangor uni. What a wonderful place. The food was homemade and simply delicious. I had the steak pie, which has huge chunks if succulent steak and loads of gravy. I'd recommend everything though and will be visiting again when we go to collect our daughter. The service was also excellent and the staff very friendly.

Brilliant place. Excellent food at reasonable prices. A good choice of dishes to choose from. I had liver and onions my husband had gammon with the trimmings. Just what we look for. Friendly staff and good service.

Often drop in for lunch when home visiting my parents, our dog is welcome too which is always a plus! Always a friendly welcome, no need to book on quieter days. Great efficient service and delicious food, lots of choice on the menu, food served hot and plenty of it! Always consistently good. Will definitely be back yet again!
Lois C — Google review
Any place that describes its Steak Pie as Famous is living dangerously; I have a high standard for steak pies. That said, their description was entirely justified; it was a magnificent pie, probably the second-best one I've ever had (the best was in North Yorkshire, so they aren't direct competition). There was a lot of it too, so go hungry when you order. Everything else was terrific too. Good beer, friendly and helpful staff, a clean and welcoming place to eat and drink. We liked it so much we went back a few days later. Five stars! (Note: Google maps currently has this on the wrong side of the street and a few doors down from where it actually is.)

We came here for a meal yesterday and the food was amazing. My husband and our friends had the steak and ale pie which came with chunky chips and peas. The pie looked tasty with lots of meat in it. They said it was delicious. I had the cheese burger which came with chunky chips, a pot of coleslaw and a pit of chilli dip. Would definitely recommend the food. The people who run it are lovely and friendly and its such a lovely atmosphere. I'll be booking again.

I went to The Liverpool Arms last Sunday with the family and we had a great time. The Sunday Roast was lovely and plenty of it. The service was exceptional with all the staff attentive, polite and efficient. It was very reasonably priced too. We had two very young children in our group , who were well looked after by the staff. Would definitely recommend

10/10 experience here, pink lemonade and dandelion and burdock drinks were brilliant. Great amount of vegetarian options, sesame loaded chips are gorgeous as well as the hummus and pita bread. Definitely will go back!

How wonderful was it to discover this place having been told by a lovely and funny local lady in the car park that there was nowhere worth visiting. (She had a white car with purple trims if you know her...tell her about this place please). We got chatting with the manager and loved the stories he told us about the owner and how he creates these wonderful dishes and the decor on the alleyway approaching the taproom and unisex toilets (very quirky). I delighted in a Bibimbap with chicken whilst hubby had a burger and some potatoes that were on the specials board. We both relished each dish with much delight. Not enthralled with Bangor itself but would certainly go back just to eat here again. Highly recommended.

A hidden little gem, took us a minute to find it tucked away on main high street. Very friendly staff, extremely welcoming. There is this Brazilian / Jamaican theme going on and food seems to be inspired with this in mind too. Any restaurant you go to where you can see them cooking your food from fresh only gives you confidence that you will get something worth the wait. Extremely tasty food! Full of flavour, really really very good.

I’ve eaten and drank here a number of times over the past couple of years. Each time I’ve visited the staff have been excellent, the coffee is outstanding and the choice and quality of the food is exceptional. Much of the menu is made in house, even their breads, beans and ketchup ! There is consistent an excellent line of high quality beers on tap (you won’t find any carling or madri nonsense here!!) and a well stocked fridge with cans and bottles from many different breweries. Would highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

Fresh quality cooked food with lovely dressings and marinades to add a delicious taste. A quirky, relaxed dining experience. Staff very welcoming and hospitable. A great in centre of Bangor. Coffees are delicious as well as their hot chocolates for the kids! Well worth a visit. We took our children and dog as we were able to sit downstairs. Chicken pitta, Korean chicken burger and chicken flatbread were our choices and they were very good indeed! Thanks Blue Sky Cafe

We were riding our motorcycles in mixed weather and decided to stop at the transport museum. Wow what a fantastic place. You could spent days in there and not see everything. Its great value i think the admission price is to cheap. The cafe is good with really friendly staff.

Fantastic collection of classic vehicles from years gone by. Loads to look including military vehicles. Well laid out and maintained pieces. There’s also a cafe. Great little activity for the family or anyone with an interest in this sort of thing. I’m not a big motor head at all but I enjoyed the retro cars and bikes. 🚗 🏍️
G T — Google review
If I’m honest, I didn’t have very high expectations for this place and imagined that it would just be a load of old vehicles in a shed. However, I was pleasantly surprised. As a late baby boomer, I could relate to most of the vehicles as those that were owned by parents or in my own early driving years. Each vehicle had an interesting description/history and all were in very good condition. I didn’t think I’d find the agricultural or military vehicles that interesting but actually I did! There’s an on site cafe and even a caravan site and children’s playground so it’s definitely worth a stop.
Nick D — Google review
Interesting museum. Lots of old vehicles with information about them. It was good to see some of the motor bikes I knew in my youth and the grand old cars of yesteryear. There were a couple my dad had and a viva which was my first car. It's not very big but enough to look at and spend a couple of hours at at. Worth the visit before returning home after a holiday.
Veronica M — Google review
Only visited because the weather wasn't, but glad we did its bigger than it initially appears, three barns of vintage cars, bikes, farm vehicles and military vehicles. All in great condition and laid out so you can get close to them. There's a great cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, large play field and swing etc. Both the museum and the cafe were dog friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful

While touring the island we stopped for a coffee and despite its remote location it was very busy, especially families with kids enjoying the play area. Coffee shop is ok and busy - tough and ready but a very good vibe, with old car magazines (1980’s) and eclectic souvenirs on sale

I regularly come here for Sunday Lunch. It is always plentiful, well cooked and served. The prices, compared to other pubs in the area, are reasonable, and both the landlord and his staff are friendly and attentive. I always enjoy the food, which is tasty and served hot. Anglesey is a dog-friendly island, but the staff here are extremely accommodating and welcome well behaved dogs into the pub. I am a devotee of their roast dinners, but friends and family tell me that the pizzas are very good, as are the other meals served during the week. There is a nice beer garden in Summer to sit outside.

Really nice. I have specific dietary requirements (gluten&dairy, it's an absolute nightmare & I can be really ill when I get it wrong). The staff here were great & after the initial confision/ awkward feeling I have to go through everywhere they put together some really nice things from different parts of the menu & I had a lovely meal! A breakfast stop this morning. The cafe was busy with people having coffee, tea, toasted sausage/ bacon sandwiches and breakfast. A big selection of cakes to choose from. Tafarn Y Porth - JD Wetherspoon is a spacious and comfortable pub that offers classic food and drinks, including all-day breakfast. Visitors often praise the congenial atmosphere and friendly staff. Customers appreciate the quick and polite service, affordable drinks, and well-prepared meals. The pub has a typical 'Wetherspoons' vibe with rugby on TV inside, but also offers a nice big garden for a more relaxed experience.
We called in for dinner. It was really good value. We had their 3 small plates deal (we selected the leaded chips, the halloumi fries, and the chicken bites. Everything was quite tasty and cane quickly. We also had a jacket potato with beans and cheese, which was really nice and very good value. The drinks are quite cheap as well. It was a bit noisy, but that is what you expect from pubs like this For dessert we had a warm mini cookie dough which was superb and so good value/price and a millionaire ice cream This was a really nice meal, everything was very tasty, came very quick and very cheap If you want a quick bite and good value for money in Caernarfon, this is definitely the place to go. All the staff we interacted with, was nice as well

Typical Wetherspoons. Food was ok, could have included a sauce for the steak, curry wasn't anything to write home about. Would have preferred the steak to be cooked slightly more. Staff were pleasant, can't fault them. 85% of people Welsh as a first language in the area. Diolch is thank you. Prices are what's most attractive about the place to be fair. Would come again but when meals are on offer. Stella tasted odd, kind of chemically? Lemonade tasted cheap. Ok for the price though of course.

The Bull Inn At Pentraeth is a popular pub located in the picturesque village of Pentraeth, known for its excellent Sunday lunch and stunning views over Anglesey. The acclaimed carvery, available all day on Sundays, offers a selection of three meats and seasonal vegetables for a reasonable price. This family-friendly pub features a children's play area and beer garden, providing a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy their delicious home-cooked comfort food.
Came here for food to try some of the new menu dishes! It did not disappoint... 😍 Had a great selection of food all 6 of us really really enjoyed! And with 3 fussy children that is saying something! The pub was really busy, great atmosphere! Will definitely return. Keep up the good work everyone!
Justine J — Google review
First time at this pub. The barmaid was very approachable and friendly. Unfortunately we couldn’t bring our dogs in but we could have sat outside on the benches. It was a little chilly so we took the dogs home and decided to try the carvery. Baring in mind it was ten minutes before the carvery ended, so perhaps it wasn’t the best timing for optimal food condition. There was plenty of choice, sadly the roast potatoes were way overdone. Rock hard exterior and hardly any interior potatoe so just passed their best. The stuffing was shop bought paxo type, not homemade. Same with the Yorkshire puddings, shop bought not homemade. It was a shame the roast potatoes, stuffing and yorkies were below par as it’s these things that can elevate a roast dinner.I have a feeling the beef isn’t roasted on site and is cooked elsewhere and just heated up onsite. However, if you want a big plateful of food that’s perfectly edible then this is the place. They have a good selection of puddings and my Son loved his ice cream sundae. This pub is great for a budget meal out. The portions are great and staff are welcoming. The roast was only £13 each, so you can’t expect a gastro extravaganza for that price point. Cheap, cheerful and a great place to bring the kids.
Sarah P — Google review
Thought we would stop here for something to eat as they had a play area for the kids. Had the carvery and am really disappointed. Turkey and beef were extremely dry, mash was lumpy, veg tasted as if it had been frozen, roasts were burnt and had a horrible taste, stuffing was so hard I couldn't bite through it. Don't normally do reviews but, I didn't want anyone else wasting their money.
Sean W — Google review
Had a Great meal here. Well worth the money. Stuff were really friendly as well
John G — Google review
Popped in on a whim for carvery, and was so impressed. The pub itself is a little dated but very clean and tidy. The team were very friendly and efficient, managed to squeeze us in even though we hadn’t booked. The gentleman serving carvery was really friendly and pleasant, clearly very proud of the product he was serving! The carvery was absolutely stunning, meats all cooked beautifully, all the trimmings you could possibly want, all well cooked, hot and plentiful. A really nice find, will 100% be back!
Mat J — Google review
Sells carvery all day, every day. Decent location, lots of parking. On a Sunday, reservations are a must. The food, depending on the day/time you get there is either good, or simply mediocre. As with all carveries, it depends on how long it's been standing. Avoid the icecream Sundays, they are the "screwball" type that you get from the freezer. They put the "screwball" plastic cone inside a fancy glass, dressing it up with whipped cream on top. Price is about average.
Karl B — Google review
Stopped off on our journey back home . We had the midweek carvery. Wow, the food was lovely the portions were as much as you could carry. But the Prawn cocktail starter was gorgeous and so many Prawns it was almost a meal in itself. Great choice of drinks. The staff were friendly. Well worth a visit.

Halen Môn - Anglesey Sea Salt Company is a family-owned business that has been producing sea salt since the 1990s. The Lea-Wilson family discovered the business opportunity when they boiled Anglesey sea water on their Aga. The company offers guided tours where visitors can learn about the salt production process and taste different varieties of salt, including smoked, spiced, and roasted garlic flavors. One of their unique products is smoked water, which adds depth to various dishes.
Went to the seaweed bath experience with some friends to celebrate someone's birthday. Rich explained the benefits of the seaweed and we were provided with additional salts to either put in the seaweed bath or take home with us, we were otherwise given our privacy with a brief check in about half way through the session. There were small huts to change in close to the baths. Stunning views. We were also able to order some drinks in advance. Would go again!

We visited here whilst on holiday. We did the tour and I had a salt bath. The tour was great, very informative and the salt tasting at the end was interesting. I loved the salt bath. Very relaxing 40 mins whilst looking at the wonderful view. Staff were all very friendly.
Hello M — Google review
We visit Halen Môn every time we come on holiday to Anglesey (twice a year). We've previously been on the salt cote tour and this time wanted to try out the seaweed baths. (2 friends have tried them with glowing feedback). Wow!! We were not disappointed. 45 minutes of pure bliss. Immersed in a barrel with the 40° water up to your neck, seaweed is then poured in . You are encouraged to rub the seaweed over your body to help release the oils. You can feel the oil and it's wonderful to rub it into your skin leaving it silky soft. I had a nice Jin Môr and tonic whilst overlooking beautiful Eryri . One if the best experiences I've had. Will definitely be doing it again Highly recommended
Sarah T — Google review
The seaweed bath was an amazing experience. You sit in your barrel of nice warm water, the seaweed is added & it releases its oils, your skin feels so smooth! The view of the water & Caernarfon castle in the distance is lovely! So peaceful & relaxing….ahhh! Would definitely recommend & would return if I ever make it back to Wales.
Cindy B — Google review
We booked two seaweed barrel baths and it was an amazing experience. The water was so warm and remained so throughout the 45 minutes. The seaweed added a silky oil to the water and left our skin feeling refreshed and pampered. The views were amazing and the staff were really informative and friendly. We will definitely be encouraging our friends and family to go and we'll be back again soon.

Tour, shop and cafe all wheelchair accessible. One accessible parking bay and an accessible loo in the shop. Very interesting tour and enjoyed the salt tasting. Lovely shop. The Halen Mon family own the adjacent sea zoo, which is also wheelchair accessible.

We didn't have time to do the tour this time unfortunately, but purchased some flavoured salt from the shop. I bought the chilli and garlic. It's amazing, so flavoursome and crunchy. Pebbles Bistro is a charming restaurant located in Benllech, on the east coast of Anglesey. The bistro offers a sophisticated setting where local ingredients are transformed into flavorful dishes with a Mediterranean twist. It's known for being dog-friendly, allowing furry friends in the bar area and back room, providing gravy bones snacks for well-behaved dogs.
Well, I'm lucky enough to have visited many of the world's best restaurants in my lifetime but some of them don't know how to surprise you with great knowledge of how to cook the perfect Sunday roast. This was our first visit to Pebbles, and I can honestly say it was by far The Best roast. The huge Yorkshire puddings literally melted in your mouth. Roast spuds were the best tasting, crunchy outside, and soft inside. Veggies were Al dente. Then the meats. I had chicken, which was succulent. My partner had the beef, which he said just melted in his mouth. Proper mash as well as real tasty gravy. The service was impeccable. We will definitely be back as we come to Angkesey every weekend to try out the main menu. Great choice of drinks and wine in proper large glasses, compared to the measured mouth washes you get from other establishments. Not overcrowded, either. Shame its not got a deck out the back, though, for Red Wharf Bay views.

Had a lovely meal here, burger and beer/or glass of wine. Was tasty, cooked well, generous portions. Staff were really friendly. Great value for money. Lovely vibe. Would recommend.

Fabulous meal at Pebbles tonight. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed every dish. The Mackerel pate starter was delicious and the John Dory fillet was the best fish dish I’ve had in a while. Others in the party had the burgers which were also devoured. This was our third time here and it definitely won’t be the last!

Nestled in the heart of a historic town, The Castle is a vibrant venue that perfectly captures the essence of traditional English decor. Originally known as the White Lion, this charming establishment has been thoughtfully renovated by its current owners. With a delightful beer garden at the back and an inviting outdoor seating area in Castle Square during warmer months, it’s an ideal spot to unwind. The atmosphere inside is both cozy and eclectic, featuring mismatched furniture that adds to its charm.
Looking for a dog friendly pub in Bangor this was the only one. We arrived and it was noisy and lively but we were greeted at the door by the very friendly door staff and made to feel immaculate welcome. From the atmosphere we weren't expecting much from the food as it felt more like a student bar and while there were a large number of younger people there was a good mix of all ages. As for the food week we couldn't have been more wrong. Lovely food, great service and good value for money.
Jane L — Google review
A nice pub serving good but slightly more expensive pub food. The food was really tasty, but priced as such, and close to a lot of pubs serving food for far less. Drinks were also pretty expensive, so definitely go elsewhere for those if you don't want food. Service was friendly, but every time they came over it was "we haven't got X, do you mind Y?", not sure what that was about but it happened multiple times. Place itself was nice, with plenty of tables and a pool table too.

Excellent food. Had a weekday 2 dine for £20 offer. 2 starters/sweets, 2 mains and 2 soft drinks for £20. All very well cooked. 2 guys that were running the bar/service were great and welcomed our two dogs with biscuits and chilled water.

Ordered via the app. Food arrived very quickly and was of good quality. I wouldn't order the burger again as it just comes with chips. Think it could have done with a salad and not carb loaded. My mistake but what I had was tasty. Blue Burger.

The Old Courthouse in Caernarfon, North Wales, is an elegant bistro restaurant housed in a historic courthouse building with stunning views of the Caernarfon. The restaurant offers a modern dining experience and features impressive original architectural details. Guests can enjoy fresh, beautifully cooked food while overlooking the castle walls. Additionally, it serves as a live music venue and provides a varied menu with a good choice of wines for an enjoyable dining experience.
The restaurant was beautiful and very unique being in the old courthouse. The tables were well spaced out due to covid restrictions. We had a lovely table at the window looking over the street and castle walls. The food was excellent and of very good quality. Our waiter was very good and attentive.

What can I say ! It started well, I was tempted by what seemed a nice menu, the soup was wonderful, but then it went downhill, first the sea bass was removed from the menu, and then nothing seemed to come out of the kitchen for almost 40 minutes. The place was less than half full, but people were waiting, and waiting. Got the impression someone was winging it in the kitchen that day and the staff were nervously telling people "almost ready " every 5 minutes. I am not in the habit of giving bad reviews, but it was a huge disappointment.
CHOCCY B — Google review
I don’t know where to start, maybe at the beginning. Lovely old building (ex Courthouse - there’s a clue in the name) next to the prison yard where executions used to take place. All I can say is I’m glad what we ate was not our last meal, though the Welsh rarebit with smoked haddock might have been prison food. And I’m being kind… The menu (very concise in Welsh and English) was very ambitious and if executed well (that word again) would be lovely. Only it wasn’t. We had coffees. Nice, not bitter - though £1 extra per cup for oat milk ought to be a hanging offence, so if the coffee wasn’t bitter, I was on discovering this unannounced upselling. The entrance by the way was confusing and quite unwelcoming…not sure where to go, but nice room once inside. Grand piano and palms with high ceiling, bar at one end. Expensive bent wood seating. Welsh Rarebit with Smoked Haddock seemed inviting (the photo of the rarebit on Google looked good) but the cheese would have been on the haddock instead of toast so we asked for the usual cheese on toast with the fish on the side. After a conflab out of sight it was agreed this would be possible. Two were then ordered with an Eggs Benedict. Now then…after a while and another coffee the food arrived - you can see the photos. The Rarebit was spread thinner than marmite on the thinnest bread I’ve seen recently with a piece of white fish next to it. When I say small I mean small. Take a look. We expected the usual smoked haddock - a slightly yellow fillet and a substantial piece of toasted bread covered in a cheesy sauce. The Eggs Benedict was quite good, runny eggs with a nice piece of real ham, though the sauce was unusually tart and the muffin strangely lacking in size and toastyness. And that was that. Oh…the bill. I didn’t see it but I was informed it was very expensive for what we had. Service was by one young person who had to do everything, and when coffee was being prepared conversation had to stop as the room took on the auditory ambiance of Euston station in the steam train era. We were glad to get out. What a shame! The site is historic, under the castle walls. The room renovated to a high standard. The menu intelligent and interesting. But something has gone drastically wrong. A basic lack of following through a good idea, and staff having to cope with unattainable goals. Somewhere like the Old Courthouse needs a mature manager to welcome people and oversee the pass, to check the food offering would stand up in court. Please don’t give up. Spend some time protecting your investment…

Good was amazing, social distancing was thorough with screens between tables. As an ex-chef I can honestly say best meal in ages. My steak was cooked to perfection and the choice of flavours on the plate were fantasticly married together.

From the outside it looks a bit intimidating and grand but it's really very friendly. My wife had the gluten free smashed avocado bagel while I had Welsh Rarebit wife a large mixed salad. Absolutely brilliant.

Nice little restaurant in the beautiful old county hall courthouse next to the castle. The food was simple and Welsh themed as expected and the staff were very friendly. Fair prices and a great place to pop into for lunch if you’re visiting the castle.

The family were absolutely lovely- genuinely kind and welcoming. The coffee was beautiful, bursting with rich flavor, and paired perfectly with the locally baked cakes that were simply delicious! The experience went beyond the beverage, as we received directions to local landmarks near Newborough Beach, along with useful information on the tides. And as a bonus, we even got a free picture to remember our visit. Kind souls, great coffee, and exceptional service- definitely a must-visit spot!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Lovely speciality coffee, we came just before closing for coffee and cake. The Barra Brith was amazing! Moist and fresh and a cracking big slice too (complete with Welsh butter!) They sell their own coffee beans and we bought a bag too. The coffee tastes amazing! Oat milk is available too! Outdoor seating has a fantastic view. UPDATE - we’ve now had a chance to try the beans we bought when visiting. They’re AMAZING! Lovely smooth chocolatey flavour. I’ll be buying more of these beans, hopefully they sell 1kg bags (photo added of the coffe made at home).

A Heartwarming Experience What a Gem 💎 This cafe is more than just a place for great coffee—it's a heartwarming experience. The mother and son who run it are a fantastic team; you can feel the care and passion they put into everything they do. The son is always so polite and cheerful, and the mother has the kindest smile. The food and drinks are top-notch, but it's their genuine hospitality that keeps me coming back. Supporting this beautiful family business feels good. Do yourself a favor and stop in!

An Unforgettable Stay – Highly Recommended! What truly sets this hotel apart is the level of service. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. It’s clear they genuinely care about their guests' experience. The food at the restaurant was as delicious as it looked!! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. Five stars all the way!

Well what can I say.... On arrival thought we had struck lucky... How wrong were we. The room looked OK on the surface but look deeper and you will see the truth. Skirting boards full of dust... Water marks down the walls.. Bed so uncomfortable we felt sea sick if the other person moved. Just outside our room were dirty glasses sitting on the radiator and part opened packs of water bottles that were there the next morning. Restaurant food was good and the chef was very attentive regarding allergies. I don't expect to hear a member of staff being spoken to by what I presumed was management in a derogatory way in front of customers. On check out all the staff were outside smoking and not attending to customers. A month yes a whole month to get a response which was a free spa... I don't want a free spa I didn't use the spa I used the hotel. I was told the mattress had been changed and the wall repainted but the wall was wallpapered. Work that one out. I've stayed in some wonderful hotels over the years but this was one of the worst... A month is way too long for a response to a complaint they need to make sure there is someone to deal with issues available 24/7.

Had a lovely couple of days with the family. Great remote location to relax and unwind but not too far from attractions. Halal options available which made the stay even more enjoyable. The swimming pool and spa/ gym was also a great addition to the stay. The rooms were inviting and grand with lots of original features kept. Liam (head chef) was very accommodating to our needs and would like to give him a ‘thumb's up’. All the staff were very polite and welcoming. Great place to stay and unwind.

Highly recommended if you want a relaxing spa break away from it all. Located in a very rural location but with local amenities only a short drive away. Room very spacious but decor and soft furnishings could do with a bit of modernisation and tlc. Comfy bed and modern bathroom. Limited space in the breakfast room means that you have to book a table the night before which is a little inconvenient especially for a 4 star hotel. Servicing of the room a bit hit and miss. All the staff are very friendly especially the spa team. Food in the Romanas restaurant was very tasty and the fillet steak and salmon main dishes were excellent. Ideal if driving an EV with Tesla superchargers close by.

Just had a 1 night stay here. We had the ex bridal suite which was very big and comfortable. The bathroom is new but not finished to a good standard. The fan in our room was absolutely disgustingly dirty. Broken ironing board. The bed was comfy. The whole hotel is very dated and clearly the carpets have not been hoovered in a while. The spa was ok, needs more attention on the cleaning and the jacuzzi water was full of foam which indicates it isn’t cleaned properly. The restaurant food was nice, though I had to send my stone cold garlic bread back. Breakfast was very average. My partner could not eat the poached eggs as they had been cooked in so much vinegar. All in all a very average hotel, wouldn’t be in a hurry to return, especially for £190 for 1 night ! Need lots of money spending on it.

Just returned from a 4 day stay at Tre-Ysgawen hotel . 4 poster room well appointed and extremely comfortable. Food was superb in Romanos restaurant. Pre dinner drinks in the bar ,and again after dinner . Breakfast ,good choice of cereals ,some cold meat and cheese . Hot choice was great . Staff were excellent . Highly recommend staying here.

Super disappointing. The room was lovely but the staff really let the place down. Nobody seems to know what they’re doing. The pool was freezing and the breakfast wasn’t cooked or hot. The hotel looks stunning, it feels so special when you walk in until you speak to the woman on reception and every other staff member you come across. We left very disappointed 😞

Great hotel with great staff and a lovely spa. The hotel is set in a lovely position in the countryside, with lovely grounds to walk around. I loved our room, it was a really good size. The library room was a great place to relax, the spa was really good, and never felt too crowded. Overall really good for the price. I will be staying again in the future. Additional review 24/10/25 - so we did stay again and had another lovely couple of nights here. Mandy who checked us in was really warm and welcoming, and Joss in the Clock Tower was excellent and made sure we had a lovely meal. The spa facilities were great again, and the room was lovely and spacious. We will stay again!

Today we popped into the garden centre it was my husbands birthday. We visited the café for breakfast and refreshments and wow, amazing!. The staff really seemed to enjoy being there, which in itself is refreshing. They were all smiling, happy, helpful and polite. The breakfast arrived at the table and was well cooked and delicious. It was so good we couldn't help but leave a tip.. If I had more than £5 in cash we would have left more! This is the second time we have visited the centre and the staff have been second to none. Last time it was a very helpful plant expert that gave brilliant advice on what to plant at home!! He was great and the plants have settled in well. Thank you Holland Arms Garden Centre we shall be back very soon!!

I love this garden centre. They always have such a good choice of plants and pots. Lovely bits and bobs for your house too. Plants and pots are affordable, house bits more pricey. They have gorgeous display usually over Christmas and Santas Grotto. New restaurant in the back with good food but bit long wait.

Lovely garden centre. We took our mum for lunch and to buy her some plants. Only downside was the 20 mins queue to order food as there didn't seem to be enough staff. The food was worth the wait though. Will go again. Also you can take your dog around the shop if you happen to have one with you on a random visit but dont want to leave them in the car.
Donna R — Google review
Today the 26th August 2025, I had the misfortune to attempt to buy something to eat and drink at the cafe in here. I walked out after nearly 15 mins of standing in the queue for the following reason. There was a queue out of the door, and the lady in the light grey top on the till taking orders... decided to walk away from her job and spend 10 mins chatting with friends. She even walked up the queue to the back to chat to some of them. So she could see how long it was. She wandered around like lady snooty of snooty manor not giving a damn about the people waiting to be served. Meanwhile the lady who was making all of the tea and coffee (a slow enough job to do when people are asking for lattes and cappuccinos) had to cover both positions and you could see how annoyed and frustrated she was getting with the laziness of her so called colleague. In more than 10 mins, she managed to actually serve 2 people, whilst the other was swanning around like she owned the place. Walked out in disgust, I'm fairly local and used to go there quite often. Groups of us would go at least twice a month, we'll be going elsewhere from now on. I also, wasn't the only one to walk out in disgust.

The Auckland Arms, a historic establishment in Anglesey, has been catering to locals and tourists for almost two centuries. Situated at the heart of the village, it offers convenient access to the castle, marina, and beach. The hotel boasts a beautiful walled garden and serves excellent cuisine made from locally sourced ingredients. Guests staying in front-facing rooms can enjoy stunning views, while those in other rooms can still appreciate the scenery from the restaurant or outside areas.
Best pub in the area. Refreshing change from all the uniformed, souless places about. Amazing selection of spirits, good beers and always good music in the background.

Always a pleasure to have a drink here. The staff are among the friendliest people I've met, and the drinks are extensive and unique. There is always a selection of local beer and spirits available as well. There is also a beer garden with some seating which makes it an excellent spot to enjoy a drink on a nice day.

My husband and I loved this fabulously individual pub. With its quirky gated door entry system to its stalled seating area. ... we loved it. First you need to find the pub down a side street looking unobtrusive. Secondly, you have to work out how to get in through its door. Read the sign and wait. Thirdly, enter into a magical space of a well stocked bar and well thought seating area to maximise the space within. Finally, park your bottom in one of the seating areas and enjoy the vibe of this funky, friendly and very very interesting pub. We really didn't want to go. No other pub compares to this one and we did try others to give this pub a fair review.

Me, my partner and his family visited here on our holiday to North Wales, the first trip there was so nice we even went there again! First of all - their onion rings are to die for, we've never had such a good onion rings, honestly give them a try! The staff were friendly and so were the locals (the football was on). We all had different dishes so I'll just cover mine and my partner's dishes. We all had two courses each time, excluding me (main and dessert). I had a chicken burger the first time, which was lovely and juicy, my partner had this huge burger (don't specifically remember what - see picture). The second time he had mussels and I had pinot grigio chicken fillet, we both enjoyed our meals very much, for dessert we had sticky toffee pudding and creme brulee, both were amazing. Honestly if you are in the area give this place a visit! The price is not overly expensive and the atmosphere is joyful and relaxed.

Avoid at all costs! Dirty, Overpriced, Bad Food & Cold. Booked a table for 12pm to have supposedly "The Best Sunday Lunch" according to a poster in the gents toilet. Spoiler alert.. it was far from it. As mentioned, we booked a table for 12pm and arrived at 11:57am we were then greeted by a polite yet very apologetic (for no apparent reason) member of staff witch took us to our table. We were given a choice of two tables one in the very back in what looked like an extension or one in a room off to the side of the kitchen/bar area. The member of staff advised that it might be cold in the extension so we opted to sit in the latter mentioned room. I'd hate to imagine how cold it was in the extension as thorough our time there we had to wear our coats and we were still cold. We then placed our order with the member of staff at around 12:05pm and then proceeded to wait 50 minutes for our Lamb Sunday Lunch to arrive. This would have been fine if the pub/restaurant was full but we were the only two people eating in the whole place! Whilst waiting for our food all we could hear was staff in the kitchen laughing and swearing very loudly the whole time, not exactly a relaxing atmosphere. When the food did finally arrive the member of staff acknowledged that it was a long wait on food and apologised. Now, if the food was good then all of this could have been excused, but to top everything off it was terrible! Especially for the price. The lamb had been sliced up in to wafer thin slices 50% of which was fat and was cold arriving to our table the rest of the meal (veg, gravy & potatoes) was very salty and was ironically very bland and uninspiring. We will certainly not be back and will advise friends and family to avoid at all costs. Some other notes about this place: - The whole interior is dated and dull - Not enough light in the eatery as I could barely see my partner sitting across the table. Personally I felt it was a tactic so that you couldn't see the horrendously overpriced food that they were serving you. - The floors were dirty as you can see from the pictures. - Table wobbled and had around 10 folded paper/cardboard coasters to rectify the issue that had clearly been there for a long time. see picture. - Toilets were dated an dirty, the type of restroom that you'd expect to see in a public WC at the rough end of a town. - Witnessed a kitchen staff member at the bar filling a pint glass with beer for himself. Not exactly what you want to see as a customer. This place has so much potential to be an amazing eatery and is clearly being failed by whomever is running the place. A real shame!

Staff where lovely!! We were out for a special birthday treat, so I treated myself to the most expensive steak on the menu. This was my £30 fillet steak which I asked for RARE 😞 It was very well done round the outside, with a slight hint of pink in the middle. I should have just gone for the fish and chips.

To start with, we would like to thank Molly for the excellent service. Also for the water and doggy biscuits for our own four legged friend. Not a large menu but that’s what we look for in an establishment… Also there is a small, “Specials” menu. We chose the specials and had the short rib of beef with mash and veg… Absolutely gorgeous and almost exactly the way we cook it at home… Very tasty and a lovely jus to go with it… Definitely recommend to anyone in the area Give the place a try….

We did the 4pm tour and had a Lovely time. We found it super interesting and Scott, our tour guide, was super passionate and lovely. Clearly loves the whiskey here. We had a delicious taster at the end of tour, and was such a reasonable price. Bought the toffee gin and traditional whiskey for a very decent price. Yum yum. Great evening thanks guys x

We attended on Saturday for a gin making experience in the morning and a tour in the afternoon. The team were incredible, the knowledge and the passion they have for the business is unbelievable, a special thanks to Elaine for her professionalism, information and making our day fun. The team really are the heart of Aber Falls. Watching the journey from 2017 until the present day shows a successful and thriving business - an incredible story in such a short space of time. The team are definitely a 5 star, the lab experience is a 5 star, the tour and whiskey/gin tasting is a 5 star. Now the bad bit - I’m extremely confused as the cafe was closed, we were hoping to have lunch in between our gin making and the tour. It’s as though it had shut down. Lots of people were turning up to have lunch but that wasn’t being provided like previously. We’ve been a few times at different times of the year and the cafe has always been really busy with a wonderful atmosphere - that was missing, there was no spark. What on earth is going on Aber Falls? You need to bring that part back to life! The local community and visitors to North Wales love the Aber Falls cafe!

I have visited Aber Falls many times and this is one of, if not my favourite, distilleries to visit. Happy to revisit every time I return. Friendly knowledgeable staff, great whisky, good stock levels and a great cafe. Bought the products I had planned to buy on this visit and enjoyed a great meal in the cafe. Always had a warm friendly welcome, never had a bad coffee or meal here. Worth dropping in for the cafe if passing.

Amazing Distillery, went for the Gin Lab experience where you hand craft your own gin and build your own recipe. The great thing is that the distillery can re create your gin and post out to you in the future. Lunch in the restaurant was exceptional as was the distillery tour. The team there were all first class.

Had the Gin Lab Experience with M-C. Great couple of hours and a bottle of gin that I made to take away. Lovely, friendly ladies (sorry I can't remember other lady's name). Got some good deals in the shop too. Definitely will call again. 2025 Back to the shop for a taste of new drinks and bought some to take home. Still the same friendly service

The best distillery experience!! We booked onto the whisky tour which Ruth took us on. She was knowledgeable, fun and she answered all the questions we had. It was interesting to learn how self sustainable the practice is and how they work with the local people to get the best all Welsh produce. I can't recommend this tour enough. We will be back for the gin making experience and hopefully some of the delicious food we saw being brought out at the cafe.

Dropped down and visited the distillery after a trip to the falls up the road. Sadly it was closed but we were assisted by a very kind lady who gave us all the information we needed. Thank you for taking time out of your day to help us, I'm sure you remember. In the end I managed to get a bottle of the Maderia Cask Whisky and it's one of the best I've had. Would love to come back for the full experience one day. Thank you!

I visited Aber Falls again for my regular visit yesterday. What a disappointment. What have the management done to what was an excellent local success story? We hoped to eat in their lovely cafe. Their hot food has always been excellent. Sourced locally, cooked fresh by local staff. NO hot food available - why? There were 60 plus visitors, many wanting to eat……. Why not be able to serve them? We were hoping to have another tour of the distillery - not possible - why? We wanted to try the new roof top bar - not open - why? We wanted to buy some of the excellent rhubarb and ginger gin - no longer made - why? The alternative brand was awful. Sweet, sickly and better suited as cough syrup. Half the staff were lovely and did their best, but clearly things have gone down hill dramatically. Lack of any management on the day, lack of guidance on the ground so for a once excellent local business, things have gone very badly wrong. Let’s hope that the owners wise up, because this place will go out of business VERY quickly.

What a lovely place, great view of the bay from our room. It was well stocked, very clean and quiet with a large balcony. (Room 704). Staff were super. Friendly and helpful without being overbearing or loitering. Food was delicious, and the breakfast was freshly cooked to order. Car park is free for residents but remember to buy your reg number into the tablet at the check in desk. The swimming pool was a super temperature and really nice. We will be back.

Had a lovely long weekend break in October. We felt very welcome and felt comfortable having our dogs along with us, as they were welcome in the dining areas. We had never visited the area before and found it perfect for walking on the beach and exploring. Lovely hotel room with bay views and excellent tea/ coffee facilities in the room.

We had a wonderful stay here on the Coastal Break offer mid October. As a family, we stay in Trearddur Bay every summer so to come back with our 2m old baby was very special! The hotel was so accommodating for baby, making sure we had a table at breakfast with space for our pram, storing our pram downstairs for us and having a fridge in the room to store milk. The staff very friendly and we had a lovely stay.

A great place for architecture. Can use wheelchairs but not every where. There is a shuttle car for going from the hotel to the top. But best to ask when booking. As the do have a top hotel as well. But well worth a shuttle to the lower hotel leavel for the views.

We arrived early in Holyhead for the ferry to Dublin. With time to kill and Holyhead not offering very much, we headed to Trearddur Bay, approx 15 min drive. It would be a lovely place to spend a short beach holiday or weekend. Nice beach, shops restaurants and rooms to rent. But it is a summer place. Would not recommend for cold wintery days. But nice in the summer sun. Had a meal and headed back for Ferry sailing. Further to my review and reply from hotel. I do apologise if you thought I was critical of the hotel in wintertime. Tjis was not my intension, as I have no idea what you offer during this season. I was pointing out, that it is a seaside area with a nice bay and beach, which would not be practical for the winter. But would be open to what you offer during off season.

Very nice and clean hotel. The reception and porter staff are brilliant. They are very welcoming and professional. The restaurant food is high quality. Breakfast was good and again cannot fault the service received. The service level is like a 5* plus hotel. The bed was comfortable. I didn’t want to wake up for work! The room was spacious and clean. Very well presented. Big thanks to Vicki, Kacey, David & the porter lads.

Just got back from our second stay at the Trearddur bay hotel. Really enjoyed it, the staff are so friendly and helpful. Lovely quiet, clean room with a great view of the sea. Lots of choice of food at breakfast and evening meals were good too, with plenty to choose from the menu. Spacious warm swimming pool...can't beat it, look forward to our next trip. Five minutes from shops, bars and restaurants and some lovely walks too.

Tesco Extra offers a good selection of produce, with deliveries being put out in the evening. The store is quiet and hassle-free, allowing for a relaxed shopping experience. Staff are helpful and courteous, and cardboard boxes are available for packing instead of plastic bags. The supermarket provides a convenient location for completing weekly grocery shopping quickly and easily. Customers appreciate the keen pricing structure and availability of various products. However, some find it challenging to navigate the store due to recent layout changes.
Large variety of products. Staff are excellent. Lady on customer services reopened the till that I can just do a return even though she said she was closed. Very polite
Maurice B — Google review
The absolute worst Tesco I have ever been to. The layout is specifically designed to cause mental breakdowns and therefore spend more. 1. Convoluted, messy, erratic carpark that is only a foreboding warning of things to come 2. You Have have to walk through half a mile of tat before you reach food 3. Noone works there so you can't find anyone to help 4. The aisles were filled with stock trolleys on EASTER SATURDAY at 3pm 5. The passata was with the oils and vinegar. THE OILS AND VINEGAR 6. The wine was right in the far corner. Should be at the entrance to deal with this absolute nightmare of a retail experience. In fact they should offer free shots on the door, just to cope
Sam A — Google review
I was a customer at tesco extra in Bangor today and had no pund coin for a trolley and had a baby with me. A member of staff called Shannon, was super helpful and went out of her way to get me a trolley. Thank you.

Tesco Bangor Toilets – A Biohazardous Adventure If you are looking for a post-apocalyptic toilet experience, Tesco Bangor has you covered. Walk in and be greeted by the delightful aroma of stale urine and despair. The walls proudly display dried-up pee like some sort of Jackson Pollock tribute, while the toilet roll holder is broken wide open, inviting every passer-by to give the roll a good ol' fingerblast. Hygienic? Not even close. The toilet seat, oddly, is in the best shape – by that I mean it is still attached, though soaked in mystery fluids and missing its rubber feet like a three-legged table from a skip. The door lock is so flimsy that a soggy bit of tissue wedged in the gap would probably offer more security. I ended up with my finger stuck in it, gaining a lovely blood blister as a parting gift. As for the main doors – sticky, slimy, and more unsettling to touch than a stranger’s damp handshake. Tesco, for the love of bleach, sort it out. My OCD is still in therapy.
Mike D — Google review
I find Tesco great for a wide variety of products. However, I do find the layout of the grocery section very confusing. You seem to have to spend quite a while going round the same few aisles looking for what you want. More signs would be good. I don't encounter this problem in Tesco Holyhead, just here. I think that because this is a Tesco Extra, they have squashed the grocery area into a smaller space to fit other departments in, and that's why this problem arises.
Rachel C — Google review
I have to say this is a shocking customer service at this Tesco's superstore in Bangor. I've been trying five times to get in touch with the Tesco Mobile customer service, somebody answered then put me back on the ring service, happened twice, I've also got recorded evidence of this ,and that is only one bad comment of Tesco's, the main issue of getting in touch with Tesco's, is because my sister went in there with my phone,!!!! that I gave her because her is broke ,basically she couldn't do the internet because of Tesco's SIM card, which I said this was the issue but yet she had to go into Tesco's to get this sorted out, but because Tesco's kept saying it was the phone it was phone, and then the person in the mobile service desk at Bangor Tesco's actually broke the phone,!!! then said it was the SIM card like my sister said in the first place, it was the SIM card but because he had it plugged into the computer he broke the phone,,!grr, it would not work then to managers come down from wherever, in Tescos Bangor, and basically said they couldn't do anything about it ,because there's person who works in the Tesco's mobile service in Bangor Tesco's broke my sister's phone, am fuming this was my phone ,and I gave it to her, because as she went in there was an issue with the SIM card, the customer service mobile desk broke my phone ,and I am not happy with this ,and want to take it further, and I need somebody to talk to me I can't get through to customer service, at all nobody picks up no phone, get this sorted out Tesco's in Bangor,

What a fabulous hotel. The warm Welsh welcome was most genuinely felt. The setting on the island of Anglesey with Snowdonia in the distance was magnificent. An ideal stop over to catch the ferry to Ireland this hotel is perfectly situated. Vibrant daffodils, frolicking lambs & native speaking locals give a unique insight into god’s own country. A definite positive for this delightful hotel. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful night.

While it looks rustic and cozy there's no denying this place it still very much stuck in the 80s with it's vibe and getting by on the reputation built by former owners. Food was a mixed bag, like it had been prepared by 2 different people. Some of it was well plated and tasted good, some of it was literally frozen veg chucked into a serving dish.

We had our wedding reception here on Tuesday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, everyone was made to feel welcome. Absolutely fantastic welcoming hotel. All the staff were lovely and it really did feel like a home from home. We had 4 children under 7 with us and they couldn't do enough for us. Every morning they had set up breakfast ready with plastic cups at our request for the kids. Chopped up their breakfast and even offered to buy in alternative cereal if the kids didn't like the huge selection they had. The cooked breakfasts were amazing and the evening meal was superb. We stayed in the chalet and found it absolutely perfect for our large family. So glad we found this place and have already made enquiries to return next year. Thankyou very much for a lovely stay.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Our room was comfortable and cozy, with a nice view looking out over the beer garden. The Victoria has always been a beautiful spot for us to come and visit and with its location we decided to stay here for the weekend after our wedding. The breakfast menu had a variety of choice and was lovely and hearty. The first time I ever had food from here, I had it delivered to my door, but for the first time, I went to the place itself. But this is one of the coolest restaurants I've been in! The architecture and the blue and purple lights are so effective. Now, for the food, it was amazing! The delicious, aromatic, sweet, sour and spicy food was lovely, and may I remind you, I'm not much of a fan of sweet, sour and spicy, but this restaurant was an exception. Now most importantly, the staff were friendly and kind. I recommend coming here. Outside was lovely too, the houses outside gave off a dream-like vibe, and the golf course reminded me of Wii Sports golf. I hope you other people enjoy it too!

We studied the menus , with 2 of us vegetarian we wanted something different that we had never had . We asked for advice and were very impressed with their knowledge and recommendation. Our 10 yr granddaughter had her very 1st “ grown up curry “ which was a butter chicken . The fact she ate it all up speaks volumes . Our son had his favourite staff Welsh lamb curry . Every thing was superb and we will definitely come back .

The food is a cut above the average Indian restaurant in the area. All the dishes for our party of five looked and tasted freshly prepared and the portions are generous. I can recommend the very tender Welsh lamb with a curry of your choice. Vegetarian options are available but appeared to be limited compared to the rest of the menu, although I didn't look closely.

The warm and modern interior is designed to evoke the feeling of romantic beach houses, featuring classic items like wicker chairs, worn leather, and weathered wood. Additionally, the hotel offers a peaceful walking route around Llyn Maelog, perfect for families and dog walkers.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary here following a local recommendation… the food, value for money , service and ambiance was second to none. The presentation of food was stunning and we both enjoyed the complex & wonderful flavours of each dish …. thanks to Miley for her exceptional service. Our night was wonderful and would highly recommend here for all occasions. You won’t be disappointed.

I want to love this place and I do but the food doesn’t have the wow factor. The decor and staff are lovely, but the food just isn’t. We went for an evening meal, I had the lamb which was okay but it was so salty and the gravy tasted like Bisto. Definitely wasn’t worth £27. My partner had the pork belly which was cremated. The waitress came and checked on the food as we were finishing, so at this point he didn’t want to complain so left it. For the price, the food at the oyster catcher is a million times better.

We visited SMH a few times while staying in the area. The food was fantastic and there is a great range of drinks. All of the staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. The front bar area and the rear garden are both dog friendly, which was great. The bars and restaurants are well designed, and there is plenty of space to move around. A great place for a quick drink, an afternoon out or a meal in the evening. We really enjoyed our visits and would definitely recommend it.

Utterly fabulous! Can’t wait to go again. The staff are wonderful, the room was fabulous and our breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble. See you again soon. X

I and my family have eaten here on several occasions and can only say that it is second to none. Both the food and the service is 5 star. We have never stayed here as such as we have our own house in Rhosneigr but we are told that the rooms are also very comfortable and also fall into the 5 star category. I strongly suggest that a booking here is a MUST for any trip to Rhosneigr.

We had some wonderful food here after a stroll up from the beach- its brilliantly situated! Our waitress Anya was very attentive and welcomed us warmly. Would definitely recommend to all

Looks like a 5 star aesthetically but food doesn't match the decor.....staff good but over all feel is they know there's nowhere else to go for food at times so standards are poor......my burger was raw mentioned it but shrugged off......not great......🤨

The food seems to have gone downhill since my last visit! We visited for lunch, I ordered the king prawns in garlic & chilli which was lovely but it only had 6 prawns and two pieces of bread for £11, way overpriced! My lunch companion had the fish goujon ciabatta which was good but let down by a sad looking salad and really cheap coleslaw, yuk!! The side of chips were ok but not worth £5! I'm local to the area but I won't be hurrying back which is sad as the venue and staff are lovely!

If you find yourself in Rhosneigr, make sure to stop by Mojo's, a beloved dining spot that has been delighting locals and visitors alike since 2005. Now in its third generation of ownership, this charming eatery offers a diverse menu featuring everything from their renowned crepes and galettes to hearty dishes inspired by global cuisines. Whether you're craving a late lunch of Chicken and Mushroom Tagliatelle or a classic Club Sandwich, the flavors are sure to impress.
I’ve have been a couple of times with my daughter. The staff are very attentive and the food is delicious. We had the pancakes which my daughter loved! Then I also came on a Sunday and tried their amazing roast dinners - would highly recommend.

The food was nice and the location is lovely, especially if you sit outside in the sunshine. Dog friendly too if you have dogs. We visited in the late afternoon midweek, so it was quiet. Had to rate the service lower because we were sat waiting for 20 minutes to be served, then when we did ask were told they'd be over but then were still waiting, so in total it took 30 minutes just to order a drink! Once we ordered, food arrived quick but would have been nice to have offered sauces etc. We went inside to pay the bill rather than waiting as others seemed to and it was quicker. So I'd say lovely food and great location, but the service wasn't great - so just keep that in mind!

Feels like a family-run restaurant with a warm, welcoming vibe. Dog-friendly, which is always a plus. I had the seafood linguine – it was tasty, and the scallops were fresh. However, the mussels had quite a bit of sand in them, which was a bit off-putting. That said, overall still a place I'd recommend.

Brilliant little place to have light lunch. We visited this place two days in a row as I was so impressed with the buckwheat pancake with smoked salmon! We had breakfast in surf cafe at 9am but came here for lunch. Not many tables inside but the food is lovely prepared and served quickly.

First and foremost we were very grateful to Mojo’s staff for opening up in the evening for just our 4 people reservation. Personal service, good quality tasty food… sea bass and steak burger…followed by toffee/apple crumble with a very pleasant ambience. Much appreciated much enjoyed by all.

We went for dinner and had an absolutely delicious meal and lovely service. My partner is coeliac and there were many gluten free options, including the option to swap out pasta for GF pasta.

We went to Mojo’s after an exhilarating walk on the beach with our boxer dog. It was exactly what we needed, very friendly staff who provided us with a wonderful breakfast including a plate of sausages for our dog. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely go back the next time that we are in Anglesey. Thanks ladies for the advice on the local(ish) butcher.
