Really glad we came here for dinner. Gemma, our waitress was really nice and attentive. She looked after us really well. Rang up the day before hoping for a table of 8 with 2 dogs and they were really nice and were able to accommodate us at such short notice. The mussels are a must! I would highly recommend this place.

Food here was first class- everything was so fresh and we loved the local products used throughout the menu. View was great and service was brilliant too. I will definitely be visiting the other restaurants soon!

Seafood chowder was delicious. Muscle was a must have item. Seafood in general was great. Meat was slightly above average. Service was very good. The restaurant offered a surprise to my son. It’s his birthday night. So sweet!

We sat upstairs and the view is fantastic as was the food. We had the calamari, lamb on hashbrown to start followed by seafood linguine and king prawns. Couldn't fault the food. The only thing I can fault was that we weren't greeted as we entered the restaurant. We had to wait a while until someone spoke to us but apart from that our experience was fantastic. Visit you won't be disappointed.

Had a great meal here with my sister while visiting the area. My sister is allergic to shellfish and the staff were right on top of her menu choices - really great to see. I had the mussels (even though this is a “wrong” month for eating them) and they were divine - I haven’t had anything even close to them in terms of taste since Iived in Normandy. We were really pleased to be given a table in the patio area, which had great views of the water.

Best to book a table online as it’s always really busy. Worth the wait though because the food is delicious and the views are stunning. The outdoor patio area is definitely the best way to capture the panoramic views and smell the salty sea breeze.

Amazing food, beautifully presented but whilst the staff were nice enough, the service was slow and they clearly didn't have enough people on to deal with the amount of walk ins they accepted. Location is fab, terrace has a stunning view (but you will be fighting off sea gulls!) But the staff need a more experienced manager (or one on shift!) to organise them.

Best food we have had for ages. Brilliant high quality imaginative dishes. Excellent value.

Me and the wife visited last night for our anniversary meal. Although the restaurant was busy not once did we feel anything was taking too long. Staff were amazing and very friendly. I can honestly say it was one of the nicest meals out we've ever had. I had the surf and turf burger (highly recommend👌🏼) but also fancied trying a couple of the tapas dishes. Although it was too much food there was not a chance I was leaving any. Ox cheek, wow! Hats off to the chefs. The wife fancied a mojito, after trying hers I had to order one for myself. The food is absolutely gorgeous for somebody that is really fussy with flavours. I’m very basic eater. This was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend.

July 22 visit (I updated one word on the review, it changed the date to Oct 2023) I love a good small plates restaurant and these eats, were some of the best I've ever have. Usually when doing reviews, I tend to give a four star place five stars, as people underscore (plus no 4.5 option exists). But I cannot rate this place highly enough. As someone that uses Google maps a lot, I hope people will give it a try. We booked online easily enough, which is probably prudent during busier hours. They did have a large party upstairs apparently, so that's is an option for those interested. The food itself was excellent quality, reasonably priced for small plates, with pleasant staff and decor. One couple did come with a toddler, when we went early evening (at opening). So it's fine for kids I would say if necessary. Not sure if they have a kids menu. As a side note, some of the meal names did tickle us. Retired dairy cow being the one that sticks to mind.

This is a spectacular experience/meal. We ordered a little bit of everything and left fully satisfied after sharing them among the 7 of us. Best mojito I’ve ever had. Each plate was thoughtful and deliciously composed. You’ve got to make a reservation as a heads up.

Dined at a few great restaurants in Menai Bridge the past few days, and we are glad that we ended our last dinner at Freckled Angel. The food was served in Tapas style, with very creative selections. The flavours were very well balanced with various textures, which excited and delighted the taste buds. All of the dishes that we had were delicious, especially the cod and the pork belly. The Yuzu meringue was amazing, and the chocolate parfait was to die for. The staff were friendly and efficient. If you have to choose only one place to dine while in Menai Bridge, book Freckled Angel!

Lovely, friendly staff is the highlight of Freckled Angel. The pig cheek starter was good. The katsu chicken burger also good. The menu is trying to be different but not quite hitting the mark. £7.20 for a pint seemed quite steep for Menai Bridge. The offer just wasn't coherent. Thank you for the welcome, but I'm not sure we'd be back, sorry.

Very enjoyable evening with engaging staff. Chef very knowledgeable and passionate about his food and wine, giving background to each course and advice on the wine to accompany. A gem of a restaurant on the high street.

This was the second time we ate here, and it certainly won’t be the last. As this outstanding restaurant uses seasonal produce we intend on going back later in the year. I have never eaten food like this; in fact it’s more like an explosion of all your senses rather than eating food - a truly extraordinary experience. As this is a fixed menu, where all the diners enjoy the experience together, it’s quite a unique evening. Stephen, the head chef and owner, who clearly has one of the most well defined palate’s along with the knowledge of science behind food and food prep, greets you with an overview of the evening to come. You can see each course being prepped at the pass and Stephen explains the reasons, the ingredients and the process of each course along with the paired wines. His knowledge is extensive and skills are insanely honed! Real nice guy too. It was an absolute joy to be part of such culinary experience within such cool surroundings. The food is the best I’ve tasted anywhere in the world and the journey he takes you on just blows your mind and your senses. Kasabian as the soundtrack was a stroke of genius! Service was consistently attentive and what a cool environment! If you ever eat at one fine dining restaurant in your life, let it be this one.

I should imagine it’s not fine finding if you don’t know what you’re having. I can’t seem to find any menus 👀. If you’re going to charge people £175* for small food samples please include what they are going to be eating so people won’t diss like them. I’m assuming once cooked and not knowing what you’re going to have may result in people not liking it or eating it all. I also assume probably a fact that you wouldn’t give the money/refund back from the booking if people don’t like the food as they can’t see a menu to prepare from 👀 We have found another lovely restaurant that’s cheaper yet offer fantastic food choices. Unfortunately you might have been a hit and good review if there was a menu supported before paying a big deposit/price for the “food” you offer. Without seeing the food it’s a weird mystery and to much at price on the line for not knowing what food you will get. (Your online website is complicated and don’t show a menu) In business simple is sometimes better off.

An absolutely top notch evening. No menu & no particular wine list, just enjoy everything. Just 8 covers when we dined there which makes for an intimate dining experience.

Food extraordinary, but not in a good way. Service attentive. Booked this restaurant because it had received rave reviews, unfortunately, 2 of my guests found it difficult to eat most of the food served. So much so that I decided we couldn’t face any more of these tastings and had to leave the restaurant. We had already paid £294 as a deposit for four and I offered to pay a further £500. The chef (owner) refused this offer and insisted that we pay £1000 in total! I paid this amount under aggressive duress from the chef and his partner. Hugely disappointing.

Fantastic 1 star Michelin restaurant. Extremely attentive service with first class food. Booking essential. A 'hidden' tasting menu where you are told what each course is as you get It. (Ring ahead if you have any intolerances etc) The food is out of this world. Unusual food combinations at times which work so very well. Highly recommended

This was the weirdest experience at a Michelin restaurant I've ever had. I must say that the food itself was phenomenal but everything else was just off. A huge pet peeve of mine is a lack of price transparency. We save hard to be able to afford such experiences and we should be granted with the ability to choose the price of our wine. There was no wine list and no pricing, just a recommendation by the head chef which I think is jarring and pretentious. It's such a tiny restaurant which could be intimate and warm but instead the atmosphere was awkward and quiet. The head chef tried to encourage diners to approach the pass and chat throughout plating but it all feels performative and the diners feel like we're inconveniencing him. I did however enjoy the story he told with each course. Then we move onto the waiter. I keep repeating how awkward the whole experience was. The waiter had no interpersonal skills and no gift of the gab. He repeated the same closed questions to each table of diners and spoke so quietly we had to ask him to repeat himself so many times. If we ate too slowly he would hover. He was not attentive with drinks orders. However he did keep on coming to the table to move around the wine and water glasses on the table, constantly and unnecessarily moving them from where I'd set them down with my right hand over to the left hand side. I felt as if I was getting in his way. After finishing, paying the bill felt rushed and there was no desire to hang about and enjoy a night cap in such a weird atmosphere. Such a shame that the service and atmosphere were so weird as the food was a delight.

Modern, contemporary restaurant with beautiful views. The food was very nice, particularly the crab salad which was very fresh. The service was very friendly, but slightly disjointed at times with some small details missed such as needing to ask for side plates for starters. Overall, a lovely place to eat, would recommend.

Visited here on a Friday afternoon. Plenty of parking and it's close to the beach ⛱️ 😎, free parking. Large establishment located right near the beach, you're able to walk just over the dunes and you're at the beach. You have to order your food outside at Pat's Shack then you receive a buzzer when your food is ready. There's also an option to sit upstairs in the restaurant which has a different menu. Great place to eat & drink.

Our second visit this week. It's a lovely bar with great staff and very friendly atmosphere. Plenty of parking and dog friendly with a dog watering station outside. There's lots of seating inside the bar downstairs and outside seating overlooking the car park and sand dunes. There is a restaurant upstairs but I didn't get a chance to check this out. A very popular bar and base for local walkers and people visiting the beach. Quieter during the week and very lively at the weekend but to be fair, it was a bank holiday weekend. There is a small fast food outlet here as well that serves pizzas and other snack food. Well worth a look if you're in the area.

Excellent restaurant with a verry special setting. A wonderfully designed building, purched on the edge of the bay. The food was exquisite and the selection wad varried. Great for larger parties or a solo foodie.

Came across this place while on a walk so stopped for a coffee and some food. All the staff were so so lovely, I didn’t get any names but this made it the type of place I’d come to regularly if I lived nearby. coffees were lovely, loads of drink choices of all types and the food stall had pizzas, loaded fries and rice bowls which all looked incredible. We had the Korean chicken loaded fries and they were great. Overall great place with music playing, really friendly staff and lovely food.

We had a seat in the snug as it's dog friendly. What a lovely place to eat. Took hubby for a birthday meal, we weren't disappointed !

Had the fish and chips in the upstairs area. Fantastic Thin crispy batter on the flakey fish, chunky fresh chips and great mushy please. Food was fantastic and service was first class! Great setting with great views.

Read about this place online, sounded well worth a visit so booked a table the day before. Arrived and seated quickly, ordered drinks and food. Food was fantastic! No complaints whatsoever. And the snickers trifle has to be the best desert I've ever had!!!

Really nice staff, kindly moved us upstairs where it was a little more quiet. Service was pretty quick even on a busy Saturday evening. We were pretty much left on our own, the staff checked in once or twice but we didn’t feel bothered by them like in some places. We ordered some nachos for starter and then the seafood platter for two. The portion was so big we could not finish it and ended up taking a lot of it with us but it was absolutely delicious!

Hadn’t made a reservation but they found us a table very quickly. Myself and my wife were pleasantly surprised by the whole experience we received by the friendly staff. Service was excellent. Drinks arrived so quickly even though the place was very busy followed by our main, and what a main it was absolutely fantastic so tasty with proper roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings and gravy. We had a two course a main and a pudding,I suggest other so called pubs and restaurants locally call in there quietly and see how it done

We had a wonderful Sunday roast, traditional yet modernised. Many vegetarian options (including a really original and tasty vegetarian roast). Good ales. Welcoming staff. A very pleasant place.

Catch 22 is a really cool and friendly place. A very imaginative selection of dishes and a good vegan menu too. It has a kind of Scandi vibe decor, and a very friendly team. Highly recommend for a visit if you’re on Anglesey.

I had a lovely meal here today, the roast was the best i’ve had in years! The porchetta was delicious and i need that gravy recipe! Service was wonderful and i will be back soon. Thank you team

Everything was absolutely amazing!!! The service, the food, the decor. The only thing they could do better, is have another premises in South Wales so we could visit more often!! Didn't get to post my husband's food as he started eating immediately!

Booked a table for 7 people. All had good meal. Children's menu, usual sausage or nuggets. 1 vegetarian who had cauliflower bites then lemon asparagus risotto, very nice Others had scallops,whitebait,Calamari then lobster, crab mornay Served basic side salad and chunky chips. All very good

Fabulous meal. We both had whitebait for starters and The Hot One for mains. This comprised of half a lobster, 3 beautifully cooked scallops, fish cakes and all the trimmings. The chips were outstanding too. Really good meal and very nice staff. We had our dog with us and were able to sit inside with him. Highly recommended and worth every penny. On our opinion was not at all over priced.

We saw a sign on the road and decided to book being so close to sea side. They are dog friendly so we went..we were offered a table on an empty room, which we really like and not bothered about it when the staff makes the ambience. We were welcomed by 2 ladies that made us feel at home and looked after us throughout the evening. The great aspect about simplicity is the fact you can actually appreciate the quality of the product used: outstanding! We had a platter from the specials and starters. The calamari were tender and cooked to perfection and i loved the mackerel pate. The service by a young lady was spot on. The wine has all the essentials and very good price. Thank you team for a great night.

Our first visit here and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, we had scallops and whitebait for starters followed by the crab special and lobster thermador all cooked perfectly and very tasty. I was quite stuffed,my partner had a sundae for desert which was large and also very tasty. Look forward to visiting again!

Lovely food worth it’s price. We ordered all positions form starters and lobster as a main and that was the best dish ever. The only thing was that we have got the same salad to every dish and I think they should have at least 2/3 different options. Staff was very polite and friendly. Also you can find local beers in there. Dog friendly and good parking spot if you are there very early. A lot of space in the garden.

I found them on Google, randomly searching for a place to have lunch. They were busy but they found a place for us - a strike of luck! The bistro is in a great location and has a nice sea-themed decor. They also have a decent food and drink choice. The staff and service is amazing. Please, book in advance if you want to ensure that you will get a table. Ideal for couples and bigger groups as well. Highly recommended!

First visit to this lovely cosy bistro and lovely fresh food had a window seat with a view of the harbour it was a bit of a grey day but a nice warm welcome inside my son and I shared a sharing starter and skipped straight to desert food was delicious will definitely be back again soon it can get busy so probably best to book

We didn't make a reservation so they could only seat us at 1+pm which wasn't a problem. We just walked along the promenade to build up an appetite! So four hungry people ordered a crab & lobster sandwich, a seafood bisque with homemade spicy rum infusion, a hamburger and a haddock fish and chips. The bisque was great especially with the spiced rum. And the owner seeing is so taken with it, poured an extra tot off the run first is two taste neat! Very nice! The fish and chips were great as well. The fish was very fresh and the chips were extra crispy. The other set of chips were kind of fat so less crispy and needed ketchup 😁 The other two dishes were good but not as memorable as the bisque and fish. The dishes were large as well and we had to give up on dessert and coffee! Will definitely return, this time with a reservation!

I have the Seabass every time! The family always goes for the tapas wich they always enjoy. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. I always look forward to dining here.

How wonderful was it to discover this place having been told by a lovely and funny local lady in the car park that there was nowhere worth visiting. (She had a white car with purple trims if you know her...tell her about this place please). We got chatting with the manager and loved the stories he told us about the owner and how he creates these wonderful dishes and the decor on the alleyway approaching the taproom and unisex toilets (very quirky). I delighted in a Bibimbap with chicken whilst hubby had a burger and some potatoes that were on the specials board. We both relished each dish with much delight. Not enthralled with Bangor itself but would certainly go back just to eat here again. Highly recommended.

A hidden little gem, took us a minute to find it tucked away on main high street. Very friendly staff, extremely welcoming. There is this Brazilian / Jamaican theme going on and food seems to be inspired with this in mind too. Any restaurant you go to where you can see them cooking your food from fresh only gives you confidence that you will get something worth the wait. Extremely tasty food! Full of flavour, really really very good.

I’ve eaten and drank here a number of times over the past couple of years. Each time I’ve visited the staff have been excellent, the coffee is outstanding and the choice and quality of the food is exceptional. Much of the menu is made in house, even their breads, beans and ketchup ! There is consistent an excellent line of high quality beers on tap (you won’t find any carling or madri nonsense here!!) and a well stocked fridge with cans and bottles from many different breweries. Would highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!

The BEST lunch spot 👏🏼 super comfy and vibey with lovely staff. One of the tastiest salad bowls I’ve ever had - my partner’s soup and toastie was also delish. Highly recommend!

Deeee-lish!!!! The flavours are incredible and I always drop in for the hash browns whenever I’m in north Wales! Lovely staff, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, great music, amazing space - I literally cannot fault this place!!! Superb. Best brunch spot in North Wales!!!

Fresh quality cooked food with lovely dressings and marinades to add a delicious taste. A quirky, relaxed dining experience. Staff very welcoming and hospitable. A great in centre of Bangor. Coffees are delicious as well as their hot chocolates for the kids! Well worth a visit. We took our children and dog as we were able to sit downstairs. Fantastic collection of classic vehicles from years gone by. Loads to look including military vehicles. Well laid out and maintained pieces. There’s also a cafe. Great little activity for the family or anyone with an interest in this sort of thing. I’m not a big motor head at all but I enjoyed the retro cars and bikes. 🚗 🏍️

If I’m honest, I didn’t have very high expectations for this place and imagined that it would just be a load of old vehicles in a shed. However, I was pleasantly surprised. As a late baby boomer, I could relate to most of the vehicles as those that were owned by parents or in my own early driving years. Each vehicle had an interesting description/history and all were in very good condition. I didn’t think I’d find the agricultural or military vehicles that interesting but actually I did! There’s an on site cafe and even a caravan site and children’s playground so it’s definitely worth a stop.

Interesting museum. Lots of old vehicles with information about them. It was good to see some of the motor bikes I knew in my youth and the grand old cars of yesteryear. There were a couple my dad had and a viva which was my first car. It's not very big but enough to look at and spend a couple of hours at at. Worth the visit before returning home after a holiday.

Only visited because the weather wasn't, but glad we did its bigger than it initially appears, three barns of vintage cars, bikes, farm vehicles and military vehicles. All in great condition and laid out so you can get close to them. There's a great cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, large play field and swing etc. Both the museum and the cafe were dog friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful

While touring the island we stopped for a coffee and despite its remote location it was very busy, especially families with kids enjoying the play area. Coffee shop is ok and busy - tough and ready but a very good vibe, with old car magazines (1980’s) and eclectic souvenirs on sale

An awesome place for any petrol head! There's a fantastic selection of classic cars, motorbikes, military vehicles and engines! There's a lovely café (that offer some gluten free options), there's a kids play area and large field. Staff extremely friendly, dogs are very welcome. Throughly enjoyed the visit. We will definitely be back again

We drove to the museum because we love cars and it was on the Isle of Anglesey which we decided to visit today. The museum is small but it has a few cars that lovers will be into. They have a cafe that you have a coffee/tea and cakes before visiting the museum. The staff of the museum was very friendly and helpful.

Lovely friendly pub with a beautiful grassy beer garden. We only popped in for drinks but heard very positive comments about the food, especially the pizza. They do a veggie and a vegan pizza option and apparently a deal on a Thursday. Great for dogs!

We were a family of 5 hoping to order some pizzas but this wasn't available until later in the day so we chose alternatives which were enjoyed by us all. The staff were really lovely and patient, as our kids are fussy and drive us bonkers wherever we eat (they get this from me 🤦🏼‍♂️).

Great little find. The staff squeezed us in as we didn't have a booking. The food was amazing and the portions were great. Would definitely eat here again if we were in the area.

I regularly come here for Sunday Lunch. It is always plentiful, well cooked and served. The prices, compared to other pubs in the area, are reasonable, and both the landlord and his staff are friendly and attentive. I always enjoy the food, which is tasty and served hot. Anglesey is a dog-friendly island, but the staff here are extremely accommodating and welcome well behaved dogs into the pub. I am a devotee of their roast dinners, but friends and family tell me that the pizzas are very good, as are the other meals served during the week. There is a nice beer garden in Summer to sit outside.

Visited here with 4 adults, 2 dogs and children aged 2, 5, 9, 9, 11 & 14. Everyone found something they wanted on the menu. Absolutely delicious food, we were all wanting to go back there but we ran out of time on our trip. Great quality food, quick service and even bought over water for the dogs.

Nice Bistro. Friendly and very attentive staff. Nice atmosphere. Great food. Had gambas as a starter and the pork chop on the bone. Did not regret it. Can definitely recommend this place and will come back, should we have a chance to ger back to this area sometimes in the future.

Burger was excellent. Not too wet, tasty as can be ... Seriously... And a really nice proper chunk of very nice beef. Felt like a cooked 6oz! The place is properly eclectic and the staff were really nice and genuine. Beer was smooth and brilliant. A little dark inside for some but it has a nice romantic atmosphere. Really 5 stars all day.

Fantastic food and great value for money for the quality of food/cooking. The prawns starter was cooked particularly well and was delicious. Great that the restaurant also allows dogs in , as some in this area do not. We really liked the atmosphere here and staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely 5* well deserved!

Beautiful Sunday lunch. Dog friendly. Parking is not good, we ended up in a physiotherapy private car park and just asked the restaurant it that was okay, so no dedicated parking.

Lovely little bistro in Benllech. Lush fillet steak really tasty. Enjoyed every mouthful. Oh and their pinot blush was delicious

Had a lovely meal here, burger and beer/or glass of wine. Was tasty, cooked well, generous portions. Staff were really friendly. Great value for money. Lovely vibe. Would recommend.

Fabulous meal at Pebbles tonight. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed every dish. The Mackerel pate starter was delicious and the John Dory fillet was the best fish dish I’ve had in a while. Others in the party had the burgers which were also devoured. This was our third time here and it definitely won’t be the last!

This is a beautiful, cosy restaurant, loved the intimate atmosphere and open kitchen. Tastefully decorated. Only criticism would be portion size to cost and value, the quality is there but quantity no so much. 3 small scallops for £10 is expensive, if they were really big maybe arguable however small. The linguine was beautiful in taste but two muscles is a poor portion and again very small, I have had much better quality for less. £26 again for amount of seafood in the dish is excessive. One last negative was croquette needed more seasoning, a little bland. Positives food was served with minimal wait time and lovely friendly service staff, hot, fresh and seasonal produce. I love eating out a will pay over and above for food, but I’ve ate at Michelin restaurants with larger portions for less cost. However the chef has talent and we did enjoy the menu and food.

This is an out of the way high-end restaurant in downtown Menai Bridge city. You enter through a small back street off of the main road. The ambiance is very nice. Quiet and shadowed. All of the service staff were wonderful. They were very quick in taking orders and the food was also relatively arrived in a reasonable time. I enjoyed the dual appetizers of soup as well as scallops. I also enjoyed the salmon for dinner. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant if you are anywhere near the bridge town. It's worth your time.

We really enjoyed dining at Sage Kitchen for a special occasion. The starters (croquettes and rabbit) were fantastic, but the real highlight was the main course, in particular the venison. The desserts (cheesecake and panna cotta) were also really great. The service was excellent, the courses were served at the right pace and we felt very well taken care of during our meal. Wholeheartedly recommend this place for dinner - it was the highlight of our trip and we would undoubtedly visit again!

Great food, good sizes, fantastic staff. Some standard dishes and some that gave me an opportunity to try new things. All were good. The restaurant was a little stuffy on a hot evening. But would absolutely recommend.

Amazing and Faultless.. Hadn't Reserved a Table, but Friendly Staff accommodated us without a Fuss. Service was Impeccable and Courteous whilst being attentive. Green Olive Cafe in Menai Bridge is a gem! The food was fresh and flavorful, with plenty of healthy and vegan options. I had vegan blueberry pancakes which was lip smacking, perfect level of sweetness. The coffee was excellent, and the staff were super friendly. Lovely atmosphere – perfect for a relaxed breakfast or lunch. Highly recommend!

AMAZING! Staff and chef are so friendly! He chatted to us through the hatch, wow what a lovely bunch of people, and also a beautiful cafe with delicious drinks/coffee and also the food! We are both vegan so have been to many vegan cafes but this one definitely wins! The breakfast was delicious, the scones (absolute must!) are THE best scones I've ever had vegan or not! Comes with all the trimmings and we took some cakes to go which were also yummy! Next time we're in north Wales we will come back, don't hesitate go here and support a small locally run business! 🙏🏽☺️

Absolutely fantastic place! We came for lunch one afternoon on holiday and ended up coming back for 2 more meals on other days as it was so delicious. The food is such high quality, and well considered with seasonings etc. There is tonnes to choose from which is such a treat when you're a vegan in Wales ;) My favourite was the avo on toast which came with lots of lovingly prepared accessories like grilled tomatoes and mushrooms, pumpkin seeds and sumac. The cakes are also out of this world & we had loads of options to choose from. Thankyou to all the lovely staff too who were so professional, efficient and friendly. You made us feel very welcome! Wish we had a place like this on our doorstep in Manchester! A little gem of a place. Will not hesitate to come back again.

Visited several times during our stay on Anglesey, and will definitely be visiting again when we are next in the area. Great food, great atmosphere and great service. And completely vegan! There's nothing not to love!

Big shout out out to Sophie and Holly who were so welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble even for a gluten free person. Everything is vegan and the food/portions are exceptional. Will definitely return as ths was the best meal we had in Wales.

A meal isn’t a meal unless there is some form of meat on my plate, so I thought…But wow! I may have just become a Vegan 😆 We ordered the cauliflower soup with sourdough bread…brilliant! A side of ‘Bacon’ chilli jam fries and even though it obviously wasn’t bacon, they tasted amazing. Flat white coffe was as good as I’ve had too. I’d highly recommend this place whether vegan or not.

My husband and I shared a sandwich and some small plates. The food was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly. They even made an extra special coffee for us as we were on our honeymoon. We will definitely be returning to try more items off the menu. Favourite meal of our trip!!! (We just wish it was closer to home!)

Highly recommend to book - we couldn't get an evening slot so went late lunch time. Food was great for all seven of us. There's a gin and fizz hut outside with great seating and epic views. Access to the beach, a play area and a ice cream hut! A definite must if visiting the area!

We had the lamb which was cooked to perfection as were the vegetables and the crushed potatoes, the profiteroles and sticky toffee pudding were also delicious for desert, it's a high end gastro pub in style so don't mind paying a little bit more and treating yourself to a delightful meal every now and then

Just had a Sunday roast here. It was served hot and cooked well, with good flavour overall. Personally, I felt the portion of meat could have been more generous, and the roast potatoes were a bit disappointing—just one large one cut in half. The Yorkshire pudding was overcooked and lacked substance. The service was good, and the views are fantastic, but the piano music was quite loud, making conversation difficult if you're seated nearby. Overall, not a bad Sunday roast in a lovely location.

For the price, I would like to be asked how my eggs are cooked and the choice of toast! The quality of the ingredients was good although one hard bacon and one soft Hash brown was lush! But at the best part of 15£ for a breakfast I would expect quality sauce not cheap fruity ones!!

Fantastic sea front cafe in Beaumaris. Food was top notch. Great value and very tasty. Family tried lots of different dishes over few and enjoyed them all. The Fish Pie is highly recommended.

An exceptional cafe! We had a collection of wonderful dishes for breakfast that day. We started with a variety of fried, scrambled as well as pushed eggs, which were served with bunch of various delicious sides such as beans, baby tomato and Spinach, that all in all enriches the meal and valuable, no doubt. Enjoyed their coffee prepared with milk and special tea with a light dessert to conclude the narrative. Absolutely a wonderful atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the splendour of the distinguished and kind staff. Well done!

I had a toasted teacake, which cost £4.50!!, this arrived approx 10 mins before a cup of coffee and my wife had a cup of tea. Total cost £12.50!! During the 20 minutes we sat in the cafe, we witnessed over 10 people asking where their food / drinks were, requesting some level of basic service or complaining. This business is very poorly managed and offers extortionately expensive mediocre products combined with a very poor level of service. Avoid at all costs and maybe they will revisit their opportunistic profiteering practices and treat customers with less complacency and a little more respect.

Really nice place but let down by the food. It came out quickly, but too quickly - the chowder had obviously been sitting waiting under a hot lamp. There was a skin on it and when I opened the butter pack for the bread it was just liquid and went everywhere. The chowder was bland and had no prawns

The last time I visited Anglesey and The Pier Hotel was 2019. The gorgeous Welsh Rarebit was then £6. Still pricey but worth it. This time, it was basically a melted bit of cheese on dry focaccia and cost £12.50. As I had ordered this for myself and my Dad, plus 2 lattes, I ended up with a bill for £34!!!!!! Vastly overpriced. Constant warnings to mind the seagulls didn't nick our food and seats crammed too close together. I heard customers on the seats at the front, complain chairs were too low for comfort and one left without ordering. Sadly, I would not recommend this venue.

A great spot for watching the bay over Beaumaris - right by the Ferris Wheel and has great views even on a rainy day. Service was quickly and friendly. I had a nice big portion of chips and kids had fish and chips and a huge slice of cake. Great experience.

Lovely pub right on the bay with a big beer garden out the front with lovely views and a large free car park. Food was good with big portions although the menu was fairly limited but all the usual pub favourites were there. Very dog friendly both inside and out and very friendly and welcoming staff.

I read a few reviews whilst looking for dog friendly pubs in the area and I'm glad that I came across this establishment. The first time around I went for the crab sandwich with a side of whitebait and it was outstanding. The sandwich was fresh and I'm not sure if it was a touch of dill, the freshness or some sort of secret ingredient they add to the crab. The whitebait had a perfect light and seasoned coating. One of the best lunches in a very long time, so good I returned the following day. When I returned I noticed the specials board and they had a 1/2 lobster special, with a larger sharer available which essentially turned it into a surf and turf. It was special indeed! The staff were friendly and helpful. I hope to return one day.

I’ve been going to The Ship since I was a child, so I was a bit skeptical when I heard it was under new management. However, my partner and I went for a meal tonight and it was absolutely lovely. The food was still great, and the service was excellent too. We were served by a lady called Stacey who was great. It’s nice to see The Ship has been left in good hands!

The location was truly beautiful, offering wonderful views outside that enhanced the overall experience. We ordered the bone-in steak, which was generously sized, perfectly cooked, and the staff kindly suggested sharing one between two people. They were very accommodating, providing extra plates and sides to ensure it felt like a complete meal. Everyone we encountered was exceptionally helpful and friendly, including the following day when they kindly assisted with information regarding a lost mobile phone. While the décor and fittings showed a bit of wear, a fresh coat of paint and a few replacement furnishings in a few areas could easily elevate the space to match the high standard of hospitality.

Lovely food. The chowder was excellent and the general view and vibe lovely. We took a stroll from Traeth Coch Pentraeth car park, around the bay, for lunch here, before walking back at low tide. Would recommend! Food, including burgers were good, though £20 is a bit much for a burger and chips, even in this day and age, same for a chowder though there was plenty of seafood in it, which isn’t always the case.

This place is about the location and the location is outstanding. We visited on a sunny weekday afternoon as we passed through the area… I am so glad we made this a place to go … leave the main road and treat yourself to a stop here. People and dog friendly indoor and outdoor seating. We didn’t eat so I can’t rate the food but it looked good. We sat with a beer and soaked up the peace. The staff were chatty and polite. Interested in our bikes and travel. I aim to be back.

What a fall from grace! Was last here2 years ago and had a brilliant meal! Last night I took my young family there and have never had to complain and leave an establishment, before even been served our main before! Staff are friendly and trying, but are woefully under trained and under staffed! Food quality is very poor for the price point! Hopefully they can sort going forward as it’s a great building in a great spot!

What's more to say, good food, good location, friendly and helpful staff. Hey eating outside can be an issue, seagull problem, but that's normal for these places. In sum we had great food, dogs were welcomed and looked after and a nice little soujorn on our day out.

Right on the main street in Beaumaris and a lot bigger on the inside than you would think from the outside. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Food was very delicious. An okay selection of alcoholic drinks and reasonable priced. Would definitely visit again.

It breaks my heart to say this since I have been coming to The Bull with the family for many years, but it was clear this year that the standards have gone completely downhill. The restaurant manager and food offerings are nowhere near as good as they used to be. One night we waited one hour for the food. My husband's meal seemed to be like a ready meal. On the day we left, there was instant coffee, intermittent bread and butter, no tongs to pick up the bread which everyone was handling. The beautiful pain au chocolat that used to be there are now clearly freezer heat and serve. The staff seem to be unhappy and not properly trained. I cannot blame the manager for kitchen staff not coming to work, but I can blame her for not listening to customers. She spent most of the evening talking the tables around us down, to prevent them from making a complaint, ignoring the other customers. There is a lot of goodwill for The Bull built up over years (this place was stellar), but this will be lost if things continue like this. The Inn Group need to stop cutting corners to reduce costs and look at the staffing and training situation urgently!!

Came for a few drinks with friends of an evening. Staff were very friendly and very helpful when recommending menu items and drinks. The Bull Inn is definitely worth a visit if you ever pass through Beaumaris. Whether you’re local or on holiday ❤️

Could be great - clearly short staffed on day we ate there (? Need more staff?) Made a booking but on arrival took them about 10mins to sort a table - just had us stood in a busy bar area with no communication as they tried to make a table. Service then was terrible - was bar ordering which took about 15mins until served due to only one staff taking orders and making drinks, not a nice relaxing experience at all. Food was nice, however cheese and onion pie ordered for two of our party and was meat pie when it arrived - terrible! Outside beer garden is lovely. Need more staff and better orgainisation.

The staff were very busy but still had time to see you were happy. Ensured we were happy with our selection. The food was utterly delicious and presented well. Best Tapas we’ve had anywhere. Only visiting the area but would highly recommend it, will go back when we visit again. The chef gave us a wrong dish but I said it was lovely and they gave us our original dish for free. How good was that!

I'm sorry to say, this was a big disappointment. Food portions on the whole are very small. Some items like the bread and patatas were very generous but others were barely a bite. Ordered patas bravas, it didn't come. Asked one of the waiters, was told it was coming. 20 minutes later, told it was missing from the bill, asked if we still wanted it. Another 15 minutes go by... At this point we are well passed eating all our other items. Asked them to cancel it so we could get the bill, then then still tried to charge us for it! The staff were very nice and the place is lovely and clean. It's just a shame it's overpriced and there were not enough staff to manage, leading to errors and poor communication.

We had a brilliant meal at The Midland Tapas and Wine Bar last night. The food was genuinely excellent - some of the best tapas we’ve had outside of Mallorca, and that’s saying something! Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. Our waitress, Mia, was also fantastic - friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. A bonus: it’s dog friendly too, which made the experience even better for us. Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality tapas in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

We arrived for our table 10 minutes early. The table wasn’t ready (understandably) and instead of suggesting we grab a drink at the bar, the waitress told us to come back later. The food was absolutely awful. We had the chorizo with fries and egg. The eggs were dreadful, and the chorizo was pale and cold. The croquettes were soggy, sat in oil from the fryer, and also cold. Their service was poor at best, and the waitress didn’t check on us during the meal. When I explained that the two dishes were inedible, she took one of them off the bill. I then had to ask for the other to be removed. She then asked how everything was! I said it was awful and she replied with ‘sorry to hear that’ and walked away! The whole experience was terrible! The wine was good though!

A strange (in a nice way) place. The concept is tapas but they do full size pizzas and other non Spanish type dishes. The food was good our favourite was the Peeking Pig. We don’t get a chance to return but would go back. Is dog friendly

What. A. Place!!! This was one of the nicest collections of small plates I've ever eaten. And I've been to a fair few tapas restaurants in my time. The atmosphere inside was bustling but not loud, the owner was working this night and she was just lovely. Every member of staff had a great attitude, and you could just tell that every customer was having a great time. Match all of this up with the gorgeous and well-priced food, and you can tell why the place was full. I can't wait to go back!

Stopped here for a quick bite to eat as the menu looked reasonable and very well priced. Was complimented on how good I spelt by a good looking waiter so that put a Spring in my step. All front staff seemed very friendly and was nice to see a good relationship between them and the kitchen staff. Food standards very good and great portion sizes. Would go back anytime. The place was recommended to us by one of the locals as a lovely place to have a tea and cappuccino and we wasn’t disappointed. When you walk in you’re taken aback by the decor and warm atmosphere with quiet soothing music in the background. Greeted by warm friendly staff who asked us to sit wherever we liked. We was given menus within a minute of sitting down. One thing I thought that was really special was the views of the open kitchen watching all the chefs lovingly prepare the food. We only had tea, cappuccino, lemonade and a teacake but looking at the food they was making others, it looked amazing. A staff member on the till went into detail about the restaurant and explained the Wall inside the restaurant was 600 years old, lovely having a little history lesson. Cappuccino was a solid 10 out of 10 aswell. So many places to have drinks in Caernarfon, but this is one I really recommend.

We had very good memories of eating here previously and we weren't disappointed this time. Visiting Caernarfon on a sunny April day, we were once again able to sit outside with our dogs and share a fantastic lunch in a really lovely setting. I had the all-day Welsh breakfast and everything was top quality, including proper fresh bread and real butter, and really tasty pork and leek sausages. The pizza was as good as my daughter remembered from our last visit, and the boys both had burgers. Lovely cup of tea too :) Service was excellent.

On a weekend break we stopped in for breakfast, my partner said his welsh breakfast was one of the tastiest, great quality produce, my bacon bap/chips was huge very nice pot of tea and coffee to go with...we will visit again

Went here the other day for a great breakfast , high quality and at a good price point -particularly enjoyed the bacon , hash browns and mushrooms all excellent seasoned and cooked well. Service was also very good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was also of high standard. Recommend to pay at visit in the area.

Great food, great atmosphere, lovely service and gluten free options- What's not to love?! We were seated by lovely staff and they took our order, drinks arrived really quickly and the food wasn't much further behind and it was delicious! I ordered a Tropical pizza (others know as a Hawaiian) and it looked and tasted so nice I had to get my husband to check it was definitely gluten free! There were lots of choices on the menu and I was torn between a few options (which is rare for a coeliac!) My husband ordered the Big Welsh Breakfast and he thought it was great and cooked perfectly. My son ordered a non-gluten free Tropical Pizza and he loved it! They were even kind enough to give us boxes to take out leftover pizza home in as we couldn't quite finish it all! Just wish we were more local as we'd be back again in a heartbeat, but a must try for any gluten free and non-gluten free folk visiting the area for sure! ❤️🙌

Nice family Menu with a bit more variety than most Restaurants in the area. Service and Atmosphere were very nice and friendly - dogs allowed if that’s any help.

I have severe allergies and the staff were very accommodating. They offered alternatives to items I couldn't eat, I'm very impressed and would highly recommend to anyone with allergies. They also offered the vegetarian kids dish in an adult size which was amazing. The restaurant was very busy but plenty of parking and tables. The atmosphere inside was really nice, even though it was busy we were able to have a proper conversation and hear each other. Tables and facilities were very clean.

This is a great pub for food. Never a bad meal after 4 visits. The menu is varied and had some great choices. Service is normally very good with staff being friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is okay, although noise levels can interfere The Wednesday pub quiz at 9pm is recommended and well attended. Get there early though to bag a seat

Called in without booking and they fit us in even though it was busy. Staff were very friendly, orders taken and meals arrived in good time. We had a chefs special, sweet chilli chicken skewers, steaks strips with salad and halloumi salad. Food was absolutely delicious and generous portion sizes. Shame we could fit a dessert in! Would highly recommend 👌

Typical Wetherspoons. Food was ok, could have included a sauce for the steak, curry wasn't anything to write home about. Would have preferred the steak to be cooked slightly more. Staff were pleasant, can't fault them. 85% of people Welsh as a first language in the area. Diolch is thank you. Prices are what's most attractive about the place to be fair. Would come again but when meals are on offer. Stella tasted odd, kind of chemically? Lemonade tasted cheap. Ok for the price though of course.

Absolutely value the money. Served locally beers as well as from other parts of the country. They serve the beer at very low prices. Staff was friendly. Perfect location with less atmosphere. But, hey! Cheap, cheerful and pretty tasty. Who’s not to love it.

Right beside the castle walls. Very clean toilets and friendly staff. Explained the beers origin when asked. Good to sit on their terrace. Great beer selection and wine on offer. Centrally located.

First time at this pub. The barmaid was very approachable and friendly. Unfortunately we couldn’t bring our dogs in but we could have sat outside on the benches. It was a little chilly so we took the dogs home and decided to try the carvery. Baring in mind it was ten minutes before the carvery ended, so perhaps it wasn’t the best timing for optimal food condition. There was plenty of choice, sadly the roast potatoes were way overdone. Rock hard exterior and hardly any interior potatoe so just passed their best. The stuffing was shop bought paxo type, not homemade. Same with the Yorkshire puddings, shop bought not homemade. It was a shame the roast potatoes, stuffing and yorkies were below par as it’s these things that can elevate a roast dinner.I have a feeling the beef isn’t roasted on site and is cooked elsewhere and just heated up onsite. However, if you want a big plateful of food that’s perfectly edible then this is the place. They have a good selection of puddings and my Son loved his ice cream sundae. This pub is great for a budget meal out. The portions are great and staff are welcoming. The roast was only £13 each, so you can’t expect a gastro extravaganza for that price point. Cheap, cheerful and a great place to bring the kids.

Thought we would stop here for something to eat as they had a play area for the kids. Had the carvery and am really disappointed. Turkey and beef were extremely dry, mash was lumpy, veg tasted as if it had been frozen, roasts were burnt and had a horrible taste, stuffing was so hard I couldn't bite through it. Don't normally do reviews but, I didn't want anyone else wasting their money.

Popped in on a whim for carvery, and was so impressed. The pub itself is a little dated but very clean and tidy. The team were very friendly and efficient, managed to squeeze us in even though we hadn’t booked. The gentleman serving carvery was really friendly and pleasant, clearly very proud of the product he was serving! The carvery was absolutely stunning, meats all cooked beautifully, all the trimmings you could possibly want, all well cooked, hot and plentiful. A really nice find, will 100% be back!

Sells carvery all day, every day. Decent location, lots of parking. On a Sunday, reservations are a must. The food, depending on the day/time you get there is either good, or simply mediocre. As with all carveries, it depends on how long it's been standing. Avoid the icecream Sundays, they are the "screwball" type that you get from the freezer. They put the "screwball" plastic cone inside a fancy glass, dressing it up with whipped cream on top. Price is about average.

Stopped off on our journey back home . We had the midweek carvery. Wow, the food was lovely the portions were as much as you could carry. But the Prawn cocktail starter was gorgeous and so many Prawns it was almost a meal in itself. Great choice of drinks. The staff were friendly. Well worth a visit.

Nice pub just wished dogs were allowed even in the bar area....would have loved to eat here and in the area for 3 days so would have used it often but busy pub without them ....I think you'd have to book with dogs too

Honestly this hidden gem of cafe is just fantastic. The people there are so friendly, the food is outstandingly delicious, especially the Glamorgan sausages and all of the other breakfast items :). We both highly recommend a visit or two (or even more!) to this lovely cafe.

I recently stumbled upon "Y Gegin Fach" in Caernarfon, North Wales, thanks to the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. And let me tell you, this place did not disappoint! Tucked away just off the main square, "Y Gegin Fach" greeted us with warmth and charm. The couple who owned the place were incredibly friendly, and their hospitality made us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was exceptional, and nothing was too much trouble for them. We decided to try their breakfast, and it was labeled as a "hearty Welsh breakfast." Well, let me tell you, it truly lived up to its name. The sausages were huge, thick, and plump, bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The bacon was so thick that it could easily be mistaken for gammon, and each bite was a delight. The whole breakfast experience at "Y Gegin Fach" was simply amazing. Starting our day in North Wales with such a fantastic breakfast was the perfect way to set the tone for our adventures. The quality of the food, combined with the exceptional service and friendly atmosphere, made our visit to "Y Gegin Fach" truly memorable. I am delighted to have discovered this hidden gem of a place to eat, and I can confidently say that I will be returning without a doubt. Found this gem on a little hike. Lovely decor, outside and indoor seating. Lovely clean environment, toilets. Competitive pricing,waiting times appropriate for food cooked to order. Just lovely and I will definitely be recommending and visiting more often.

Beautiful views for dinner in this pub! Highly recommend the Fisherman's lunch - smoked mackerel pate, whitebait, prawns & crusty bread - enormous and delicious serving! The churros were hot and soft, covered in sweet cinnamon sugar and filling! My friends had the ice cream Sundays and they’re worth every penny. The place was full to a brim thanks to the Dec’s music performers. Diolch!

Sunday Lunch was very good - £15 was reasonable price for quality and amount. Kids Sunday lunch was value for money and stagg accommodated Gluten Free needs well. But.... Dining Room / Bar was combined which didn't lead to a very family friendly environment given the regular choice of language used by the patrons. Place could do with a good clean/dust too as wasn't the cleanest. Cracking view from our table though.

Absolutely amazing pub on the beach in the beautiful village of Moelfre. It’s an old fashioned proper food and drink pub. A great selection of Robinson’s ales are on tap along with ciders, wine, etc. Food is only served from 6pm to 8pm and you can’t make a booking. If you’re looking to eat on a Friday or Saturday I recommend getting there an hour early to claim your table. On to the food… it’s fantastic. Huge portions, freshly cooked and at a great price. Look at my photos to see what I mean. The gammon was incredible. A plate-filler but not too salty. I couldn’t finish it but my dogs were grateful. We ate there 2 nights during our stay and enjoyed both times immensely. The staff were superb. On the ball, great sense of humour and ever so efficient. A real credit to the pub. I simply do not have a bad word to say about this fantastic pub. If you’re in the area you’d be mad to miss it.

The restaurant opened in the afternoon, specially for our father’s wedding lunch. We were a party of 24 on 3 tables of 8. Jessica (owner and manager) couldn’t have been more helpful, allowing us in extra early and helping us to decorate the place. We preceded the meal with champagne that we’d brought and paid corkage for. The (£34) banquet we chose was very good, generous and celebratory. Jessica and her team were excellent, friendly and efficient hosts. Super venue for a special occasion 🎉

First time here after driving past a fair few times, the carpark was always full so that was a good sign for us. Booked a table for tonight and the whole restaurant has been full since we arrived, even the queue for the takeaway didn’t seem to go down. The food was some of the nicest Chinese we’ve had in a long time and we literally couldn’t fault anything. Service was still friendly, quick and efficient even though it was so busy. We will definitely be back and 100% recommend. Xx

Went here for my 24th last Friday night and honestly, it was spot on. The place has a nice buzz about it – not too posh or stiff, just relaxed and welcoming. Staff were really sound, kept checking in without being over the top, and made us feel looked after the whole night. The roast duck was the absolute highlight – crispy skin, juicy meat, loads of flavour. Genuinely the best I’ve had, and I’ve tried a fair few. My mates all ordered different bits, and we ended up sharing around the table ‘cause everything looked too good not to. No one had a bad word to say, which says a lot.They even brought out a little birthday surprise for me at the end, which was such a nice touch. Didn’t expect it, but it made the evening feel that bit more special. Prices were fair too – proper value for the quality and portions.Perfect spot for a birthday meal or just a good feed with mates. I’ll definitely be back – reckon this is gonna be my go-to from now on.

Absolutely must go to best Chinese i have had and really quick service and polite customer service i had the char sui pork chow main absolutely bang on 💯 also ordered crispy beef in Cantonese sauce with soft noodles and chips and prawn spring rolls everything was spot on 👍

The place was packed with people. We’ve never seen a busier Chinese restaurant. The food was delicious with generous portion sizes. The service was prompt and extremely friendly. The atmosphere was good. The food prices were reasonable. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return again soon. Fabulous. Thank you Jade Village.

Had a lovely 3 course meal. We were seated quickly, and service staff were spot on time taking our food and drink order. Our waitress was very pleasant, perhaps a little stressed albeit it was a busy evening! Wait for the food wasn't very long and portion sizes were generous, plenty of options and a varied drinks menu. The deserts were delicious, and the evening as a whole was reasonably priced. You'll enjoy your meal here, thank you to the Front of House and Kitchen Staff for their efforts. Just be sure to book a reservation ahead of time, seems like a busy restaurant.

Family run business, always great food, great service and a welcome from the owners. The restaurant is lovely, food is all good quality and made with great fresh ingredients. Always a nice atmosphere there too. Owners and Staff are friendly and attentive without being intrusive. This has been my favourite go to place for many years, I have recommended it to a lot of people and they all agree on how good it is, never disappoints. Take a walk down the long pier after, views are beautiful Make sure you pay the £2 charge for the pier, it's worth it and helps pay for the upkeep of it.

Food was outstanding. Just wish the portion sizes were a bit bigger. We had 3 courses each and were still hungry afterwards. We arrived when the restaurant was still kind of quiet and got put in a corner out of the way and basically felt like we were left. We had to ask for service and we waited so long for everything. We were forgotten about more than once. We liked the restaurant and the food but there definitely needs to be more staff. We were upset with how we were looked after especially since we booked a table so far in advance as well.

I can’t give this enough stars! Me And my partner came here on Friday evening for his birthday! We both had starters, mains and shared a dessert and everything we had was 10/10! Compliments to the chef! Stunning presentation to the food! Plenty to chose from! Wines were fantastic also! The waiting staff were lovely and remembered my drinks order every-time I needed a drink without prompt! We will definitely be returning!

Definitely worth stopping here for food. We tried this place on a whim after walking past & the food was absolutely amazing. Well prepared and perfectly seasoned, the wine was also great and reasonably priced. The waitress was very friendly and an asset to the restaurant, great with recommendations & even managed to get us a couple of recipes from the Chef, also very friendly. We'll definitely be back, and will recommend Osteria to anyone we know visiting Caernarfon.

Quite often I leave a review if I'm ecstatic with the place and this is the place. The food was beyond amazing, even for someone who lived in Italy. The platters are an amazing choice. The Chef not only helped us with recommendations but he came to check if everything was in order a few times. The staff was formed of the most lovely teenagers one would want to meet.

We came here with two noisy toddlers and were feeling very embarrassed as we walked into this lovely restaurant but the waitresses and chef were awesome-so child friendly and thoughtful of what the kids might like. The food was absolutely delicious too. This place is a real gem.

Went as a family of 5 last night to Osteria 2 Adults and 3 young children, arrived slightly early but this was no issue they had sorted us a table so we could put our pram next to us which was appreciated. The owner was very welcoming and the two young servers were really pleasant to speak to. The restaurant is quite intense with it being so small which at first wasn't a problem but as the food came became quite uncomfortable. The menu is very limited and was hard to decide what to choose for our 2 boys (6&2) we asked if a dish was similar to a bolognese which we got a reply of "please don't call it a bolognese" we all ordered the same thing 2 adult portions and one child that we split which was advised off the owner himself to do, we also ordered 3 portions of bruschetta (favourite of mine) 1 cheese, 1 garlic mushrooms 1 normal tomato. This is where unfortunately things went downhill, the food came and you could tell straight away the quality wasn't great the bread was stale and had been over toasted (burned) on one side the garlic mushrooms were luke warm and had very little flavour of garlic. The owner makes his presence known he hangs about to see what you think which makes it very awkward when its not very good. Unfortunately the pasta came and again you could tell the quality and cost of ingredients would of been very little the sauce was tasteless and the pasta and meat were not what I would expect. we do eat and make a lot of italian pastas so maybe we are just picky but I struggled to finish it. Again the owner was very intense wanting to know what we thought which made for a very uncomfortable time. When he eventually left i asked the very polite servers if we could get the bill and take off and said that I didn't think the food was of a very good standard but didn't want to make it awkward for them we paid and left. I think £18 for the pasta we had was extremely steep. Thanks to the severs who we had a good crack with and made it more enjoyable

What a nice little find. Managed to book a table on the day for 7.30pm. Friendly staff, great Chef and loved the way he was doing his rounds to customers to ask what he thought of the food. I couldn't fault it and said Bellissimo. It made him laugh. Had a 3 course meal. Bruschetta Funghi, the Special Ragu Bolognese followed by the Ice Cream Truffle with coffee sauce. All were fantastic and would definitely highly recommend and can see myself going back again. Friendly atmosphere and do not feel rushed.

A lovely friendly restaurant, great service! The bruschetta platter was delicious, all of them are wonderful. I had the vegetarian platter which was also tasty albeit a bit heavy on the olive oil and garlic. My partner chose a special of Tuscan sausage & bean pasta, which was just cheesy fusilli with some meat. It was fine, but for the price it didn't feel very much like a special. Wouldn't stop us returning though as the rest of the food was amazing.

I had the Arrabiata, it was delicious, really nice selection of wines and the chef even came out to check if everyone was happy :) Would definitely go again !

Absolute Gem 💎 of a place. Homemade Nachos were amazing! We had the nachos, hummus to start and then foot long burrito with the mushroom burger (so tasty) .. couldn’t eat it all! Portions were very generous. Food was outstanding, staff were attentive and very friendly Would definitely recommend.. we will go back when we are next in the area

Great vegetarian/ vegan restaurant. Absolutely lovely inside as well as its location in Bangor. Since I arrived a few months ago I always wanted to go in there and finally made it. We took "the cosy firewood" and "Buddha something" as mains and had two glasses of wine with it. Absolutely delicious taste and very filling. The mashed potato and onion gravy were spot on. Cannot wait to be back! Service was very friendly and attentive.

Food was pretty good - not vegan myself, but loved the wide selection of food and non meat options. As a meat eater, the food tasted pretty good.. loved the cauliflower wings! Staff were really friendly. Service was a little slow, but laid back and not rushed so was also quite nice. This place is probably a haven if you are vegan!

Accidentally ended up at the restaurant and sort of like it. I'm not a vegan, but we still decided to try it. The service was great and everyone courteous. Good was good of your vegan, or practice vegetarian diet style. We ordered cauliflower wings - they're on the sweet sauce and could definitely use some extra spice, and tried their onion rings for starters. The onion rings were delicious a little too only oily for my appetite. For main courses, we ordered the badda boom burger and flat salad. Again, the food was on the sweeter side, so we had to ask for hot sauce. For dessert we tried their chocolate brownie with ice cream with oat milk cappuccino - dessert was delicious and you should try it.

Yum yum YUM!! Great to find this wonderful vegan restaurant in North Wales!! Fantastic food—big portions for mains left us stuffed after having an appetiser each. Took home leftovers & just finished them for breakfast!! Totally recommend!!

Relaxed ambience (felt like I was on a holiday abroad), great choices, portion and great quality vegan food! Personal preference is to be a little less salty for the tofu dish but still amazing! V calamari - tastes the same or better without hurting anyone!! Service was warm and fantastic - especially the helpful lady in making sure we had enough food. Environmentally friend use of atraw and takeaway box. Looking forward to visiting again!

Both service and food were absolutely incredible. We've not had vegan food like here before, it was absolutely divine and can tell why it has such a good reputation. We tried a burger and the beast platter so we could try as much off the menu as possible and we're gutted we weren't around for longer to come back. We can't wait to come back to Bangor.... Probably just to come back here! Thank you for hosting one of the best meals we've ever had!

Amazing food! I went with a large group for a birthday surprise and every dish we tried was delicious. The owner and staff were welcoming and friendly and the restaurant felt homey and comfortable. The food was really delicious. Really enjoyed the house wine that was recommended. Will definitely be going back.

We enjoyed a midweek meal here and everything was good. Spice level very nice. Rice dishes and side dishes were a tad colder than the curries which was odd. But we'd eat there again I'm sure.

Even on holiday I cannot resist a curry night so I found a nice little restaurant on Anglesea Interior ⭐️⭐️⭐️ A bit basic but the majority of seats are in a conservatory extension which would be nice on a sunny day. There are a few elephants etc around which kind of make sense. Service ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Again nothing bad here just not special, the food did take a while to arrive but I think that's because they were smashing delivery orders all night long. Food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ A good solid meal! We had a few different currys including a lamb rogan rosh and a tikka masala which were all very good. The winner for me was the saag paneer, which was really creamy and delish! However the rice is served in metal platters which doesn't look good and because its all spread out it was cold the moment it hit the table. Price ⭐️ So a mean score here but its more a lesson than a criticism, the simple facts are that if we had taken the food home as a take out we would have paid a third less. I just cannot justify paying over £30 more for the "experience" of dine in.... Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I love curry and I probably eat more than most so I have high expectations and unfortunately this just didn't quite meet them. That said, I would order take away from then if I was in the area as it was a good eat!

The best curry I have had in a long time! We were warmly welcomed on entry and all member of staff were very friendly and helpful. We had the poppadoms and chutbey trays to start, followed by a murghi masala for myself and a lamb korma for my partner. Both curries were fresh and full of flavour. A real gem of a curry house which must be tried.

We've been going here for years. But last night my wife wanted to try another not too far away for her birthday. After an appalling service, or should I say lack of. We ended up going here. It was busy but Sid welcomed us with open arms. Went out of his way to lay a table and sat us down. The service was great as usual as we the food. And he even put a banner up for my wife. Couldn't thank you more Sid, you are a legend.

The bar was quite a nice feature however we couldn't help notice that the windows were really marked and there were a few issues with tables not been completely clean. Service ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ The guy serving was friendly and he had a lot to do, he was the only person we saw all night so he was dealing with all customers both dine in and take away. There was a bit of a wait on our food and we think that had an impact on our fries. Food ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ So the main attraction was the endless fries however this is no longer offered. The guy said it was due to nutrition however it is my choice surely? If I keep ordering fries then that's on me! However when the food arrived I have to admit I wouldn't be rushing to order more of the fries, generic freezer to fryer fries which needed to be super fresh to be decent, an unfortunately they were starting to cool and go limp when they arrived. Burgers on the other hand. We had a variety including both chicken and beef options and I can confirm they were all really good. Nice and juicy beef and the chicken was soo thick and coating was on point. We also had onion rings and chicken tenders both of which elevated the meal massively so defo get the sides ordered! Price - ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ At £20 a head for burger, fries, drink and share of sides is not ridiculous however I would say for the overall experience I was left feeling a little hard done by, probably isn't too bad that it would stop me returning. Overall ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Probably a harsh overall score but in the context of expectations vs reality I was left overall disappointed by this meal. Lots of positives but also a number of negatives. If I returned to Anglesea I probably wouldn't rush back to Toms.

First the waiter was really nice. Then the food..great! Mine was «a simple veggie» with mushrooms topping... So good. I don't know if it was the brioche or what. Then the dessert, a toffee cake. Really nice. I also tried the garlic brioche with mozarella, as well i liked it. A great end for the day. If you stop to see Menai bridge, try this place.

Parents plus nearly 3 year old trip to Toms. The pictures you can see are the Benji board (child's) and the Nik Nak burger. Wife ordered a different burger not pictured. The child's portion was a little much. The chicken was in my opinion an adults portion. Quite floury batter and very large chicken. My advice would be to go to Goujons or nuggets for the nippers. A couple that arrived after us ordered 2 of these for their 2 children and they also failed to eat it. If you do decide to go order a garlic bread or something as this thing is a beast. My burger. It was ok. I feel like I let myself down having heard about the reviews and expected a super tasty burger. It was average...the spice was average and came from the 3 chilly slices that were in the cheese. Meat Patty was red which I guess you expect but as you will read in a minute, it gave me something to think about when I saw my wife's cook. Not enjoyable. My wife's burger was undercooked. This was a concern as we were the only 3 people in the building (our family). They explained that the meat will often be cooked red....which I explained that I understood as it's a meat pattie and not a burger but I can assure you it was uncooked and rare. This was backed up by the chef as they were happy to prepare a new one. The positive of this was the helpful server who gave us drinks on the house which was a great gesture based on the undercooked meat. If you don't eat out a great deal or have a lot of experience with beef then this place may intrigue you but my family will not be coming again unfortunately.

Nothing special here folks! Ordered couple of burgers after reading so many 5 star reviews. The burger looked juicy and fresh, but both burgers tasted sweet. I think it was the sauce they used. The sweet sauce didn't help with tasting the meat because it was overpowering. For some reason every sauce we tried in wales tasted sweet. The fries didn't tasted fresh, but more like frozen ones fried. Not sure if ill recommend this place so highly. Use your own discretion.

Lost! Went on a Sunday evening at 7.30. Inside, only a few tables and most of them with already food in their plates. Despite not being busy at all, we waited more than 15minutes for the waitress to take our order and get our drinks but the best was yet to come: after 1hour we decided to ask where our food was and we were told it got lost, they forgot to send it to the kitchen! Utterly disgraceful!!! I mean guys, if you cannot cope with only a few customers dining in, you should probably consider a career change.

Excellent.... Impromptu visit as didn't fancy cooking. Grabbed a table, waiter was very polite and service impeccable. Ordered and food arrived shortly after our drinks. Onion rings were very fresh and crispy as were the chips. Burger was tasty. We would certainly recommend.

We stopped in for the first time having heard really great reviews about this place. We took away some lunch and although I ordered the wrong thing (thought i ordered the bruschetta with tomatoes AND mozzarella on it instead of just tomatoes) it was a flavour explosion. Simple ingredients done exceptionally well. Will be back for brunch again for sure!

Called in for coffee and cake during our trip to Menai bridge. I had a pot of tea and my brother ordered a coffee. Unfortunately there was a serious lack of cake selection so we just had drinks hence only the 4 stars. We sat outside in the sun. Lovely.

Had the salmon bruscetta, it was divine, tried some of my partners vegan pizza and that was also lovely. The hazelnut latte was sublime. Service was superb had a nice laugh with one of the female servers. Fantastic destination to treat yourself.

We loved this place! Genuinely couldn't have asked for better. Staff were super accommodating, we had three dogs between us and three humans, two of which required vegan and gluten free. One of the ladies even came and said how lovely and well behaved the dogs were which meant the world to us. Best food I've ever had in Wales, not expensive either, cannot wait to go back! Thank you!

Very surprised to find this Italian restaurant, so I felt a bit at home during this trip in Anglesey :) the Pinsa amatriciana is incredible! Very nice and kind staff too!

Recommended by a friend, visited as a party of 6 (4A + 2K) and booked ahead. The service was great and the food spectacular. A pleasant relaxed atmosphere when we visited. We were there early with kids when it was still quiet which likely impacted the experience a little. Possibly not great for small/ young children as the food offered is quite mature. Owner are happy to modify dishes but still could be challenge if they are fussy. The venue is a converted bank so facilities are less than you might anticipate, there is literally one toilet, which at busy times might be problematic. It's a quirk rather than a problem though.

OMG - What a beautiful place, lovely food and amazing people. One of the best pizzas I had outside of Italy, London, New York and Tokyo. Please visit this place if you love pizza and importantly support local business and enjoy food and beers.

The family were absolutely lovely- genuinely kind and welcoming. The coffee was beautiful, bursting with rich flavor, and paired perfectly with the locally baked cakes that were simply delicious! The experience went beyond the beverage, as we received directions to local landmarks near Newborough Beach, along with useful information on the tides. And as a bonus, we even got a free picture to remember our visit. Kind souls, great coffee, and exceptional service- definitely a must-visit spot!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! Lovely speciality coffee, we came just before closing for coffee and cake. The Barra Brith was amazing! Moist and fresh and a cracking big slice too (complete with Welsh butter!) They sell their own coffee beans and we bought a bag too. The coffee tastes amazing! Oat milk is available too! Outdoor seating has a fantastic view. UPDATE - we’ve now had a chance to try the beans we bought when visiting. They’re AMAZING! Lovely smooth chocolatey flavour. I’ll be buying more of these beans, hopefully they sell 1kg bags (photo added of the coffe made at home).

Fantastic cafe. Excellent food and cakes. Coffee was also a big hit. Great service, very friendly. We had our dogs and the outside seating was perfect and undercover for when the heavens opened!! We had to visit twice as it was so good. Thank you!

Wild windy day and this little gem was a great stop over on our trip around Anglesea. Beautiful staff. Simple menu but tasty and great coffee. Small place so we we lucky to find a seat on a wild rainy day.

It's more than a garden center. It's a perfect shopping experience for indoor decor and garden alike. Restaurant is a try above the normal. Pricey but worth it and above all ckean, tidy and meticulously presented.

Today we popped into the garden centre it was my husbands birthday. We visited the café for breakfast and refreshments and wow, amazing!. The staff really seemed to enjoy being there, which in itself is refreshing. They were all smiling, happy, helpful and polite. The breakfast arrived at the table and was well cooked and delicious. It was so good we couldn't help but leave a tip.. If I had more than £5 in cash we would have left more! This is the second time we have visited the centre and the staff have been second to none. Last time it was a very helpful plant expert that gave brilliant advice on what to plant at home!! He was great and the plants have settled in well. Thank you Holland Arms Garden Centre we shall be back very soon!!

I love this garden centre. They always have such a good choice of plants and pots. Lovely bits and bobs for your house too. Plants and pots are affordable, house bits more pricey. They have gorgeous display usually over Christmas and Santas Grotto. New restaurant in the back with good food but bit long wait.

Lovely garden centre. We took our mum for lunch and to buy her some plants. Only downside was the 20 mins queue to order food as there didn't seem to be enough staff. The food was worth the wait though. Will go again. Also you can take your dog around the shop if you happen to have one with you on a random visit but dont want to leave them in the car.

Today the 26th August 2025, I had the misfortune to attempt to buy something to eat and drink at the cafe in here. I walked out after nearly 15 mins of standing in the queue for the following reason. There was a queue out of the door, and the lady in the light grey top on the till taking orders... decided to walk away from her job and spend 10 mins chatting with friends. She even walked up the queue to the back to chat to some of them. So she could see how long it was. She wandered around like lady snooty of snooty manor not giving a damn about the people waiting to be served. Meanwhile the lady who was making all of the tea and coffee (a slow enough job to do when people are asking for lattes and cappuccinos) had to cover both positions and you could see how annoyed and frustrated she was getting with the laziness of her so called colleague. In more than 10 mins, she managed to actually serve 2 people, whilst the other was swanning around like she owned the place. Walked out in disgust, I'm fairly local and used to go there quite often. Groups of us would go at least twice a month, we'll be going elsewhere from now on. I also, wasn't the only one to walk out in disgust.

I am a regular here usually for the cafe which is fairly priced and the staff are great . Always good food . Even the outside part where dogs are welcome is accommodating enough. Sometimes come with an additional needs adult and the staff can't do enough for us .

Absolutely appalling food quality and service! Ordered 'the hot one' pizza and when presented with the pizza it was from frozen, you can get an identical or better one from a supermarket for under half the price. The pulled pork burger had a frozen burger patty that tastes like donner meat, cheap bacon from a supermarket, and the pulled pork had an excessive amount of fat. If the food wasn't bad enough the manager was incredibly rude, when stating that we were unhaooy with the burger and pizza he became irate, unhelpful, and insisting that the food was perfectly fine and no frozen! He refused to deduct the price of the food sent back from the total of the bill and demanded that he was correct when it was extremely obvious that he wasn't. The manager was wearing blue ill fitting jeans and white trainers as opposed to acceptable server attire. The only acceptable thing was the fish pie and curry bites as a starter and even then they were from frozen, Definitely not worth £70 of food at all! Would not recommend even if for a small bite to eat.

Had a lovely dinner at The Deck House - really good food and reasonable prices! Thanks to VJ who looked after us so well and made sure all the food was suitable for my gluten/ lactose intolerance. Would recommend, looking forward to going back!

We ordered a takeaway as due to covid19 and the rain we couldn’t eat outside l. My wife ordered battered beef in black bean sauce which contained one piece of beef not battered and a watery sauce. There is no way this was worth the money.We also ordered steak and ale pie which whilst was nice the vegetables were missing. My son rang to complain and nobody bothered to answer the phone.

Used to be very good, not anymore. As soon as we sat down we ordered my nearly 2 year old sons dinner. After an hour and a half we cancelled it to take him home. The remainder of the party stayed and after 2 hours had only had a starter and were told the main would be another 20 minutes. They walked out too. Gone tremendously downhill along with the rest of the site unfortunately. It's all about money grabbing these days

Lovely food, and excellent service. The only flaw was that we requested no peas on 2 seperate occasions and this was ignored both times, but it wasn't a big deal.

Heard good things about the place but meal was very very poor. Cold, low quality and disappointing won't be returning

The steak and ale pie and fish and chips were so delicious! Have a pint of the Golden Hen ale, absolutely refreshing for the summer. It was a cozy dinner, made better by meeting lovely people!

This place made we wish we lived here. What a husband and wife duo! The service and smile and friendly warm chat from the staff topped with what I might say was the best, lasagne, pizza and coleslaw I've ever tasted was just absolutely second to none.. the chocolate brownie and ice cream went down a treat also! If anyone is visiting here or local I highly recommend

Had a lovely evening out for drinks with family, and returned the next day for tea. Fabulous atmosphere, exceptionally friendly staff and really good food at reasonable prices. We had soup, then fish and chips and steak pie. All was beautifuuly presented, hot and very tasty. Would happily recommend and can't wait to return. Thankyou. X

My wife and I had a superb Sunday lunch yesterday. Selection of pork, beef or turkey with generous portions of vegetables. Great customer service, friendly and efficient staff. Then 3 till 8 we had two DJ's playing Northern Soul music from vinyl records. Well supported, good atmosphere. Regular live music. Diolch

Just had a Sunday roast in this lovely pub for the first time and it was just perfect, the owners are super friendly and welcoming and the food was just perfect home cooked large portions everything tasted home cooked including the puddings. Amazing value for money quality beers we can’t wait to return oh and dog friendly too

The absolute worst Tesco I have ever been to. The layout is specifically designed to cause mental breakdowns and therefore spend more. 1. Convoluted, messy, erratic carpark that is only a foreboding warning of things to come 2. You Have have to walk through half a mile of tat before you reach food 3. Noone works there so you can't find anyone to help 4. The aisles were filled with stock trolleys on EASTER SATURDAY at 3pm 5. The passata was with the oils and vinegar. THE OILS AND VINEGAR 6. The wine was right in the far corner. Should be at the entrance to deal with this absolute nightmare of a retail experience. In fact they should offer free shots on the door, just to cope

I was a customer at tesco extra in Bangor today and had no pund coin for a trolley and had a baby with me. A member of staff called Shannon, was super helpful and went out of her way to get me a trolley. Thank you.

Tesco Bangor Toilets – A Biohazardous Adventure If you are looking for a post-apocalyptic toilet experience, Tesco Bangor has you covered. Walk in and be greeted by the delightful aroma of stale urine and despair. The walls proudly display dried-up pee like some sort of Jackson Pollock tribute, while the toilet roll holder is broken wide open, inviting every passer-by to give the roll a good ol' fingerblast. Hygienic? Not even close. The toilet seat, oddly, is in the best shape – by that I mean it is still attached, though soaked in mystery fluids and missing its rubber feet like a three-legged table from a skip. The door lock is so flimsy that a soggy bit of tissue wedged in the gap would probably offer more security. I ended up with my finger stuck in it, gaining a lovely blood blister as a parting gift. As for the main doors – sticky, slimy, and more unsettling to touch than a stranger’s damp handshake. Tesco, for the love of bleach, sort it out. My OCD is still in therapy.

I find Tesco great for a wide variety of products. However, I do find the layout of the grocery section very confusing. You seem to have to spend quite a while going round the same few aisles looking for what you want. More signs would be good. I don't encounter this problem in Tesco Holyhead, just here. I think that because this is a Tesco Extra, they have squashed the grocery area into a smaller space to fit other departments in, and that's why this problem arises.

I have to say this is a shocking customer service at this Tesco's superstore in Bangor. I've been trying five times to get in touch with the Tesco Mobile customer service, somebody answered then put me back on the ring service, happened twice, I've also got recorded evidence of this ,and that is only one bad comment of Tesco's, the main issue of getting in touch with Tesco's, is because my sister went in there with my phone,!!!! that I gave her because her is broke ,basically she couldn't do the internet because of Tesco's SIM card, which I said this was the issue but yet she had to go into Tesco's to get this sorted out, but because Tesco's kept saying it was the phone it was phone, and then the person in the mobile service desk at Bangor Tesco's actually broke the phone,!!! then said it was the SIM card like my sister said in the first place, it was the SIM card but because he had it plugged into the computer he broke the phone,,!grr, it would not work then to managers come down from wherever, in Tescos Bangor, and basically said they couldn't do anything about it ,because there's person who works in the Tesco's mobile service in Bangor Tesco's broke my sister's phone, am fuming this was my phone ,and I gave it to her, because as she went in there was an issue with the SIM card, the customer service mobile desk broke my phone ,and I am not happy with this ,and want to take it further, and I need somebody to talk to me I can't get through to customer service, at all nobody picks up no phone, get this sorted out Tesco's in Bangor,

The click and collect pickers are everywhere constantly. Not enough tills manned and the toilets are always filthy

Thoroughly enjoyed this visit. I had the spinach and roasted butternut squash tart served with 10 different salad selections. Vegetarian. Sorry no photo of the food but i can tell you it looked and tasted amazing. Love the general feel of the place, Well worth a visit here

A wonderful little café in Bangor, in my opinion the best in the city. A little quirky with various goods for sale, and I believe opening a bookstore on the side. Excellent range of teas and I am told good coffees. Range of home baked cakes and other delicacies to eat. Very relaxing place to rest, meet up, read, etc.

Excellent little cafe offering a brilliant vegetarian lunch and proper coffee too. We enjoyed some very chilled live music in what must be one of the coolest spots in Bangor. Very friendly owner too. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to like it here. The place is cute and cosy and vegan and dog friendly but... - when I asked if our chosen food is spicy I was told that it's not spicy at all - but it was very spicy to us... So if there are any seasonings that might make food spicy it should be known to the customer. Everyone has a different tolerance to spicy food - the lady who was preparing the food was using her bare hand to... Basically keep shepherd's pie, enchilada pie and SALADS (YES SALADS) in place and form them into piles on our plates. We are very anxious about germs etc so that was the final straw that prevented us from eating the whole thing. I'M BEGGING YOU, USE GLOVES! - and finally the food was simply mediocre. It was cold inside and both shepherd's pie and enchilada thing had the same bean/mince mix in them so they were almost the same altogether. Terrible experience for over 33 quid...

Cheesy chips, not good chips cold and looked as if they had been recooked several times cheese not melted . My Tuna sandwich was tasty and plentiful.

The Victoria has always been a beautiful spot for us to come and visit and with its location we decided to stay here for the weekend after our wedding. Stevie and the team were great at accommodating our needs and the room was beautiful, especially the view of the Menai Strait. The bar and restaurant is beautiful and full of so much character. The breakfast menu had a variety of choice and was lovely and hearty. I don't know the name of the young gentlemen who served us breakfast on Monday 23rd June, but he was incredibly polite and friendly first thing on a Monday morning. Can not recommend this place enough, thank you for making our first stay as a married couple a wonderful experience.

Had to stop here as we were stranded here due to our car breaking down. It was such a golden find, the staff were incredibly helpful and hospitable, the food was delicious and the room we bought was actually rather cheap for the size of it! Would definitely recommend for those looking for a quiet getaway to North Wales.

Havent actually stayed, but have been several times for food & drinks, Lovely place, staff are very helpful & friendly, the interior is beautifully done adding to a relaxing atmosphere, the outside is stunning, especially on a warm day, with lots of tables and chairs to sit at whilst having a drink or something to eat, Also a lovely terraced area with fantastic views over the Menai Straits, also large covered Gazebo seating area. Food is fabulous much nicer and better value than Brunning and Price pub/restaurants 😃

Stunning setting for wedding celebrations last week! The staff were so accommodating and the hotel was tidy and clean. Complete with a lovely bar downstairs and excellent breakfast options! Thank you for a lovely stay ❤️

Average hotel. Room was unloved, old, scratched bedside table with no lamp for reading, no mirror on the dressing table, very inconvenient for doing hair and makeup. Scratched old headboard. Staff wonderful.

Really nice food with great views from the gardens at the back. Staff really friendly. Have been a couple of time on this trip to Wales and will definitely call again when I return.

We had an amazing lunch here today, all with a smile to from Chloe the waitress. We will definitely be returning on our next Anglesey holiday later this year.

Wow wow wow - did i say wow? Deeeeeelicious, we had a breakfast and a cup of tea. I can say that it was the best tasting, best quality, best portion amount that I have had in years. What a magical wonderful place the cafe is set in too - absolutely breath taking - come to this place and wonder in the beauty. Establishments these days seem to serve the minimum (one egg one sausage one bacon) and have the cheek to call it a full English- they should call it a half English 😆. Well the breakfast that Phil the chef and guy who runs the pilot cafe cooked to perfection was outstanding. Everyone at the cafe are super friendly and very very welcoming - 5 stars are not enough and I can't reccomend the Pilot House enough - a real gem in a spot of outstanding beauty ❤️

Great lunchtime food. We had two kids meals - Sausage and chips, Pizza and chips. Adults had loaded chips - one bacon and the other crispy chicken. All of the food was great for a family like ours.

Stopped in on my walk hoping for a light lunch. It was busy despite being midweek, but the staff were friendly and cheerful. Unfortunately the menu doesn't offer sandwiches or typical lunch items, more focused on pizza and burgers. The wait was much, much longer than I expected considering I only ordered nachos, think I was waiting half an hour or more. The food was good and plenty of it, but I was slightly disappointed by the choice of entirely disposable crockery (tin foil bowl) and cutlery (wooden) when eating in. Seems very wasteful.

Great pizza with gluten free base available. Many gluten free and vegan menu items. Cakes are delicious and the views are outstanding.

Lovely cafe. Great views. We came up 2x. Once for the view and breakfast. The 2nd to get our toddlers toilet we left out 🫣. Owners were very helpful and we had a joke about its little adventure.

Visited this place whilst spending a week in Rhosneigr. First impressions weren’t great as the girls on the till looked disinterested and weren’t overly welcoming or friendly. My order was ready really quickly which was a bonus. The fish was really nice, with a lovely crispy batter. The chips were also fine. Unfortunately the mushy peas were bizarre. They were a strange shade of green, also they weren’t mushy, they were pretty dry to be honest and they just tasted really salty. Prices at this place are also too high for what’s on offer. I was a little gobsmacked when they told me the total for my order. Still probably worth a visit if you’re in the area, but mainly because there’s not many other options.

Always worth the wait We’ve been visiting Rhosneigr for a few years now and Scarlett’s is always one of the highlights. There’s usually a queue around tea time, especially in the summer, but it moves quickly and the food is well worth it. The fish portions are massive and perfectly cooked, chips are golden with just the right amount of crunch, and they even do proper curry sauce which is hard to find done well these days. Staff are brilliant – chatty, helpful, and happy to tweak orders for picky eaters or allergy needs (our youngest has a nut allergy and they always reassure us about what’s safe). Never had a bad meal here. Genuinely one of the best chippies we’ve tried in North Wales.

We came for fish and chips with our 2 young kids today. Unfortunately the food was absolutely disgusting, despite being the most expensive fish and chips we’ve ever bought. The batter on the fish was completely raw (photo attached) so 4 portions of fish at £8 each had to be thrown in the bin as they were unedible. Our daughter ate some of the batter and immediately had a dodgy stomach which has ruined what was so far a fantastic holiday in the lovely Rhosneigr. I Very dissapointing and hopefully if Scarlett’s see this they have the decency to get in touch to apologise and reimburse.

Purchased fish, chips and curry sauce. Staff were pleasant and efficient. Good portion of food which was hot and pretty tasty. Price was ok. Worth a try.

Staff not so welcoming. No pies on a Saturday night! Had 4 fish, 2 large chips and a curry - more than £44! Curry sauce was spot on, chips OK, fish was crispy battered on top and soft underneath (something for everyone) and fish soft, but the whole was soaking in grease...... Shame because the seats by the beach are great for a beautiful view while eating.

We came this evening for fish and chips, we have been coming to Anglesey for many many years and came here for the first time. We were abit apprehensive after some of the more negative reviews on here but decided to go for it anyway. So glad we did, the nicest fish and chips we have had in Anglesey and we have tried a fair few of the chippys in the area! I had to leave a review as we really enjoyed our meal, thank you 🙌🏼

Not the best fish & chips I’ve had. Chips very cardboard no fluffyness, fish very small and dry but batter was nice. Small portion for £11.60 I know it is coastal tourist town but that is eat in prices. As it’s the only chippy here nothing I say will matter. Staff very nice. I just recommend either giving more for the money or drop the price a little.

Friendly staff and fresh fish and chips with good portions. The cod was perfect but the batter was falling off the haddock. Still very tasty food and would recommend.

All i can say is the food is absolutely stunning. 12 of us went and every person said its the best chippy they have had. I had battered haddock and chips and it was fantastic, beautifully crispy batter and some of the nicest chips I've had from a chips shop , the calamari, pickled egg and gherkins where also wonderful. Thanks for the beautiful food. We will be back

Delicious cod and chips. Cod was perfectly cooked with lovely crispy batter and full of flavour. All freshly cooked and speedily served. Staff were welcoming and pleasant and the establishment was very clean including the toilets. I'd definitely go back again.

7 of us called in for a light bite. It’s a takeaway with 6 seats(stools) inside and maybe 12 places at long benches outside. Chips etc were great. Mike was very friendly and helpful, made you feel welcome. Would recommend.

This is a hidden gem! Although there are many fish and chips dotted around this area - This is one of the best! Great guys serving, with a smile. Try light battered cod! Absolutely yum, thin and crispy batter. Their home made tartar sauce is great too.

The portions were so big they didn't fit in the box! Haddock was lovely. Good value too. Saw they had good meal deals and quality pies.

Great for a quick pizza after the beach - surfing or walking the dog. Also has a Moretti beer pump too so you can sit and have a beer with your pizza. Very friendly helpful staff. Watch your step of you visit the upstairs toilet 🤣. A great tasty pizza!

Unfortunately an average pizza. I was expecting something really good given how busy the take away was. I would sadly have to agree with some of the comments that the ingredients tasted a little cheap but ok if you’ve had a few beers.

We ate here a few nights ago and my wife had a 9” pizza and I had a 12” thin based pizza. All was well…. Tonight we tried the same order but was told on the phone there were no thin based pizza bases left for the 12”. Alarms bells rang. Surely if they had dough to make a 9” deep based pizza you just roll it out to make a 12” thin base. Anyway, we proceeded with the order on standard bases and were disappointed. They clearly buy in the bases. They were stodgy and moist in places. For a pizza place to buy in bases is madness both quality wise and for profitability. If I can make my own pizza bases at home it’s a poor showing that a pizza place can’t, it’s so easy and a much better outcome. 7/10 could easily have been a 10.

We picked up a takeaway pizza and a couple of drinks here to take down to the beach for sunset. The pizzas were great and the bbq dip is amazing 👌🏼😂 the staff were great and very friendly and they DO take card payment so ignore other reviews which say they don’t 👍🏼.

Omg, my partner and I absolutely loved our pizzas! Light and crispy base, freshly baked, yummy toppings. Absolutely gorgeous. If we had been staying a bit nearer we'd have definitely returned. One of the best pizzas I've eaten. Fabulous!

Fabulous little pizza takeaway, with small outdoor seating area which was perfect for us to eat our pizzas with our dogs in tow, glad to be sheltered after a windy afternoon at the beach! Friendly staff and most importantly, absolutely delicious pizza! Also a small error with one pizza's topping was sorted out swiftly and politely which was much appreciated. Next time we're in Rhosneigr we'll definitely return! :)

Hidden gem of a place - definitely recommend. We took our pizzas down to the beach and they were still hot and very tasty. Reasonably priced and great service - literally ready in approx 10 mins on a busy bank holiday weekend. Food was delightful, big portions and the chips are fab! Very impressed!

Fantastic food, excellent vegan choices. We had 2 different tofu dishes, both delicious. Chips and fried rice (no egg on request). Everything very impressive and much cheaper than our Chinese back home. Highly recommend for veggies and vegans. It's cash only and you will probably have to wait a while after ordering (with good reason), but there is a lovely pub next door to pass the time!

Bought a special curry. The chicken was low quality cubed meat and there use of shrimp instead of prawns was disappointing plus the salt and pepper chicken was way over salty. Worst Chinese I've had.

Great Chinese takeaway with great portions and lovely taste. It took two goes to try it the first was a Saturday evening when quoted 2 hour wait but next time booked at 5 pm and it waa great.

Although the quality of the food was very good. I thought it was very expensive and could only pay in cash - fortunately there was an ATM at the nearby garage (150m away). Also we had to wait 1h 45m for the food to be ready!

Have had better curries, and I would say the chips were warmed up from earlier.

It's busy. I think that's largely due to location. There was a longer than average wait time, but not surprising because of how busy it was. The food arrived hot, one of the drinks was medium instead of large. Overall it was a bit better than average. The server was nice.

Might be our most disappointing visit to a McDonald's ever. Greeted with signs saying no soft drinks, a real winner on a hot summer's day. Once we'd ordered, our food my wrap was missing and had to chase it up. The rest of the food, our fries in particular was cold. The toilets, both female male were dirty, the women's having clumps of hair scattered around.

Ordered a plain half pounder cheeseburger ended up with a normal quarter pounder. I've worked in hospitality for years how hard can it be to put a plain burger in an order for a plain burger

Ite a good Maccies Been several times now and it's handy for a quick stop efore you jump on the ferry. Literally 2 mins drive at most ro the gates of the port Clean and good service Open late but not 24/7.

Had a great experience at KFC in Holyhead! The chicken was fresh and hot, with perfectly flaky skin that added the right amount of crunch. The gravy was thick, rich, and savory. Exactly how it should be. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made the visit even better. Super clean toilets. The single greatest KFC experience I have ever had, genuinely amazing. Usually there might be one fault but this was faultless. The staff member was lovely also. People are so quick to criticise but I thought I’d spend a second to share feedback about my time here.

So not happy. It took ages spent £28.99 plus 5p for the bag, it was dry small pieces of flat dry boneless 14 piece and 4 fries and 2 gravy we didn’t get the popcorn chicken and we asked for sweet chilli dips and when we got home they were not in the bag tried to phone no answer. Feeling really annoyed
