Can definitely recommend this restaurant, however, be aware that it is more of a family restaurant and you cannot expect a quiet and cozy dinner for two people. The restaurant is disabled friendly, with good wide corridors and a disabled toilet. The food is really good, and there is food for both children and adults. The restaurant is clean, but there are a few places that look a little worn. There are some nice aquariums in the restaurant with large fish, but they need a thorough cleaning. There is a play area for children and the possibility to borrow a private room with space for 50-100 guests. This restaurant is one of the best in the area. 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is a spacious restaurant with comfortable seating. Their focus is on sushi, but they have a good selection of hot food. Service is efficient and friendly. The quality of the food is very good and the prices reflect this. This is by far the best Asian food that I’ve had in Jutland.

Tastes always delicious and the service is fine. They have a separate room with some toys and a playing house for children, which makes it much easier for parents to enjoy a good meal.

I had dinner there some time ago and it was nice. Went for lunch and I everything from the buffet tasted weird. Ended up eating peas and corn.

It is a nice cafeteria, a great place to meet up with friends enjoy brunch or a coffee, read a book, send an email or spend some chill time. The atmosphere is relaxing, with nice music, the waiteres was kind and serviable. Beside the food and beverage options, there are small gifts or house items that you can purchase.

Had a great lunch outside on the terrace, food was absolutely great. Great place to enjoy the sun with some food and drinks. The waiters were kind and fast with the food. Only giving four stars for service because after the food arrived there was no waiter around to ask for another drink or the bill, we were waiting for a pretty long time so when they came instead of having another drink we asked for the bill. Besides that everything was very good!

One of the original hotels in the resort, we dined at the restaurant - we'd had the 'Shooting star' recommended to us - Essentially a open sandwich with one fried and one steamed fish fillet, a salad, with shrimps and smoked salmon. And it was everything promised. It can get quite busy here in high season - and while busy enough for lunch, by dinner it was almost deserted.

Had "Stjerneskud". Plenty of delicious shrimps, 3 pieces of plaice and smoked halibut. Very delicius

Food was very good and portions were big. Service was not so great: little arrogant and nobody checked us after we got our food. And no one checked if we wanted to pay. No service for over an hour, and inside the restaurant there were no other customers than us for the last hour. We expected more after reading the reviews.

We had a bad experience in 2022, and it happened again this year. This was the only restaurant that had room for us, and I know why - the place was empty and the service was bad. They forgot our food both years, and this time I was the person that had to wait 20 minutes, then eat alone. We complained to the waiter and she snapped back that it only had been 5 minutes. NO. She could give me a coffee for the mistake. A coffee will not make my stomach full. She was also happy that I made a bad review, so I don’t think she cared. This was the only restaurant that had room for us, and I know why now - the place was empty and the service was bad. - a waitress

Arrived just after closing time. I know, you can tell me about time management all you like. Won‘t help… Amazingly, the staff immediately sorted us with a bottle of wine and takeout. New Zealand wine as well! Great food, cooked and sorted with a smile. Really appreciated the effort, and enjoyed the delicious fish.

I just can't recommend this place highly enough. The menu has something for everyone and the quality is simply fantastic. Friendly, down to earth staff. Cozy dining environment with a great view of the harbor. Great tasting food, frankly the best I've had in years. Prices are not exactly cheap but not gourmet expensive. We will definitely have to go there again. Highly recommended!

Inspiring surfy cafe with really tasty items (try the Crab Hot Dog - amazing!) Also inside is a well curated surf shop with hand picked items by Jonas and his team, suitable for the local North Sea conditions. I went in for a coffee and came out with a new winter wetsuit!

Food: very good taste, unfortunately small quantity and not consistent (different people ordered the same meal and what they got varied) Service: worst I had in Denmark so far. Very slow, not very attentive, food arrived before drinks, cutlery arrived after everything else.

The food was as expected when you look at the prices. Ordered a calzone with kebab meat, but it wasn't proper kebab meat. Avoid ordering drinks with ice cubes at all costs. They have not cleaned their ice cube machine for a very long time. It tasted like sewage water.

I can only warn people to eat in this restaurant. Firstly I didn't like the food very much (i.e. the gorgonzola sauce was just a cheese sauce without any gorgonzola) and secondly the owner does not accept foreign cards but only Euro or DK. He knows exactly that most tourists who normally pay with cards and therefore don't carry any DK will then pay cash with Euros and he will exchange the bill amount from DK to Euro, but he uses an exchange rate more than 10% higher than the official rate. I consider that as fraudulent.

Good fish, to not be able to pay with card is a huge minus though.

Food tastes awful, we ordered some pizzas. All of them were overcooked, dry and barely edible. Waitresses seemed also confused about the menu and all the hundred of different dish numbers. Terrible quality please stay away from this place !!!

It's a cafe with a focus on one of the Danish national dishes "smørrebrød". As a dane and someone who have been eating it for all my life, the quality here was above "okay" and just below fine. The service however was one of the worst I've experienced, having to wait for 30 minutes before getting a menu, and having to ask the personnel to put tables together so we'd get our reserved seatings just felt like a massive waste of time. Which is essential since the table was only booked for limited time, time we lost 30 minutes of, due to no service/lack there of. Not a place I'd recommend on busy days, if you're an international tourist looking to try "smørrebrød" this is an okay representation.

We recently visited Mellma in Løkken and had an exceptional experience! Despite not having a reservation, we were able to get a table for three on short notice, which was a fantastic surprise. The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. We were thoroughly entertained and well taken care of throughout our visit. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish prepared to perfection. The flavors were delightful, and we could tell that a lot of care went into each plate. It's rare to find a place that excels in both service and cuisine, but Mellma certainly delivers on both fronts. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Mellma has won us over with its great atmosphere, fantastic food, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Løkken!

Stopped by for a beer twice and both times, I was lucky enough to grab a seat outside with one of the best views in the entire kingdom. The beer selection is surprisingly rich for a place this size, with plenty of interesting options on tap for cooling off in summer heat or bracing against a a more chilly autumn gust from the sea. Time it right, and your drink may come with a sunset framed by the dunes, the sea as well as a horn salute to round it off. Not bad at all.

Fish and chips, or a burger of that is what you prefer. Food was good and the staff friendly. A bit small menu card but the food is served within 10 minutes.

This is as authentic as it gets! Very traditional establishment with extremely friendly, flexible and attentive service. English is spoken fluently. The bathrooms are basic, but clean and sufficient. The fish and chips were as close to the real thing as you can get. I would also recommend the burgers! The only down-point: we had to wait quite a while for our food, but it was more than worth it. Fine ales are also served. Would recommend this place highly :)

Lovely local restaurant/bar. Staff was very friendly and the food was great. Prices were excellent too: I got a Stjerneskud (fully traditional, including the asparagus, shrimp and caviar) and a large beer for just 199 DKK (€27,-). Plenty of parking is available at the restaurant. Great place, would absolutely recommend!

I really enjoyed the two visits to Fishermen's Rest during our holiday in Løkken. Once for lunch on our hike to Rubjerg Knude and once for our farewell dinner on the last night. Great fish & chips and excellent beer. Thank you!

Great pizza and best in Løkken. We went there three days in a row for a late snack. Didn’t disappoint. Great Pizza, very friendly staff. Reasonable prices (for Denmark). That said it’s a takeout place, so don’t expect a cozy restaurant. It’s a kitchen with a counter . We went to a different pizza place nearby when it was closed and were quite disappointed, didn’t come close in quality to this one. Vegetarian and Salami were both fantastic.

The crust was crunchy and the dough was chewy, just the way I like it. Amazing, but most importantly, the staff were amazing. Especially Reber he was making sure everyone was comfortable, had what they needed and were happy. We also ordered 2 more to bring home. It's a small gem. The food, environmet and atmosphere exceeded our expectations for a small café located in a small town as Hals. And even though the café was busy, the food arrived rather quickly.

Very nice restaurant to eat. Been here twice and the food has always been very good. Friendly staff that can speak English and nice atmosphere. For both visits i did not have to wait long at all for my food to arrive, the prices are very good and the range of food this restaurant serves is very versatile. Definitely recommend going here and would visit again.

We fell for the tapas and when we got sitted they said it wasn't available. Some of us chose the buffet they recommended, but I decided to get a salad when we saw the quality and freshness of the food. The buffet food for the ones in our party that did take it was inedible. The salad bar had slimy rotten vegetables, and the food all looked dry from being under the heat lamps for hours. The several fish courses were unrefrigerated. They didn't even give us silverware, we had to go fetch it ourselves and they still had dry leftover food on them. There was only one vegetarian food option that was a tomato salad, disappointing. The toilets were dirty and had a very strong smell. We regret terribly the decision of having stayed here. Even if they gave us a discount after we talked about the terrible experience, it was not worth the price. Should avoid this restaurant

Worst experience in Denmark so far. 4 waiters for 5 tables in total. It still took 10 minutes to get our order and after waiting 15 minutes to pay we payed inside. We had the vegetarian burger, which tasted extremely boring while the bread was dry and slightly burned. The fries tasted reheated and were really oily. The Toilets were disgusting as well. Still trying to figure out what that smell was. At least the water was fine.

Decent experience with the buffet - rice and beans was great but was not satisfied with the meat options and servings - I would have expected the waiter to be more generous while serving - the concept of all you can eay went for a toss after a while as I lost interest and left. Salad and other side options were pretty decent. If there was an option, would have rated 3.5 - but yes on the otherhand price for lunch was quite cheap - DKK 169

Phenomenal. Fantastic food, service and everything all around. We went with a party of 6 and had buffet. Everything was fresh and not one thing wasn’t to my liking. The meat that was brought to the table was seasoned wonderfully and cooked to absolute perfection. Merci; we will be back next year!

While you sit and eat, they bring the meat to your table and cut it for you. 12 kinds of meat and all you can eat. Personally, this is the best restaurant in Løkken.

Food was served surprisingly fast (Grill plate). Microwave type of fast... Food was OK. Parts of the salad had gone bad, so removed that and ate the rest. Got food poisoning in the evening after eating there...

My second experience with rodizio. Lots of delicious meat, carved right at the table! Sides were good, but I didn't take that much, as this wasn't my first rodeo (pun intended).

Rude service! We were almost met with hostility. The servant was clearly unfriendly and almost pushed us down a table. He got angry when we asked if my of the other non-used tables were available. Grumpy service all the way but he tried to cheer up at the end but firstly after we got angry. We were longing for a nice grill but it was overdone and dry. Atmosphere was not nice overall. Tourist trap, would not recommend to anyone.

Maybe we were unfortunate by the late hour (2-3pm), but the buffet was a little sad, and all the meats were extremely overcooked. The service was attentive, though.

We had a nice experience in this hotel! Check in was fast and breakfast and dinner were good. We could find something to give to our 16 months old daughter as well. Our dog was well accepted but we paid extra for him. The parking in the back is a little narrow but we could always find space. 8 minutes away by car from a lovely beach. The room and bathroom could have been bigger but no issue for us. The only thing to mention is that it would be nice if they would add an extra trash bag to the bin in the rooms, above all when they know that there is a baby (and their diapers). All in all a good experience, we used a voucher.

Worn down with older furniture, uncomfy beds with really bad pillows and drafty rooms. Ok food, mostly buffet, old danish style. No or little service though. The service staff managed to get a wine order wrong twice and as there was an anniversary and other parties at the time they seemed more interested in servicing them.

Not the best hotel I've stayed in Second day the room was not cleaned, food is average, a very quiet town and the sea/beach is not far. Some of the staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is old and tired and in need of a face lift.

The restaurant is a good bistro option at Hals Harbour for fast food with good quality. It is not too pricy, but often very greasy. The staff is nice and the seating is big and comfortable. Many people are seen to just enjoy a few drinks however.

Magnificent. Been literally searching the length of Denmark for a traditional inn of this calibre. The rooms are plain but clean and comfortable. The inn itself is simply wonderful, you are instantly transported into the past with the charming furnishings. The food is incredibly delicious and generously portioned. The buffet breakfast is more than adequate and regularly topped up. The staff are friendly and attentive. This will not be our last visit.

A lovely and relaxed place. Classic rooms with comfortable beds and a wonderful historic pub/restaurant/lobby area. Was just there for only one night and arrived late, so no time to enjoy a proper meal at the restaurant. But a cute little "pub" and a lovely breakfast buffet. Not ostentatious or a big spread, but continental with fresh rolls and bread, boiled eggs, meat and cheese, jams, yoghurts and granola stuff, coffee, and a selection of teas and juice.

This place did not live to any of the reviews posted here. Let's start with the arrival, the greeter at the reception was not very welcoming and had no idea what customer service is. He seemed like he was just there because he had to. After the check-in we opened up the door to our room and Jesus Christ I have been at better looking 1-star hotels than this sorry excuse for a cozy inn. There were holes in the bathroom door on both sides, the carpet was dirty and all in all basically the nicest thing in the room was the closet as it looked nice and well cared for. The bed however was comfortable and I slept well in it. Next morning I go to the breakfast and lord Almighty was this a sorry excuse for a buffet. Half the plates with food were empty and the juice containers was not being filled up... And the tablecloths were all stained. All in all I was not impressed and will not be coming back.

Cosy, high-end restaurant with good cuisine and pleasant staff. Little details like good cutlery, porcelain figurines on the tables, quiet music in the dining room, open fireplace made us feel comfortable and welcome there. We ordered vinasnitcel and stianeacull (may be misspelled, ooops). The first one is the culf shnitcel with pees - huge and mouthwatering. The boys finished the meal, but were up for the late breakfast next day - so nourishing it was. And the other meal consisted of four types of fish (boilled, fried, smoked and shrimps) with caviar and some vegetables - the food paradise for someone, like me, who loves seafood. To say , that it was delicious, means to be short of words. Better you come and teste it there. Therefore, I highly recommend Tylstrup Kro and promotion ved to be back one evening. See you there :)

Came here for an ice-cream. Was pretty disappointing, the scoops were very small compared to other places in Denmark and the ice cream was half melted when served to us. On the other hand the fish and chips looked very nice but we didn't get to try them.

But not here - the vegetarian main course was a journey in itself. Every bite was different depending on which parts of the plate you would combine. It was playful, light and delicious - it was just pure pleasure. The super friendly, welcoming service made us feel right at home. What more could you hope for?
