We were looking for a vegetarian friendly restaurant and came upon Cevahir. We had a great time, everything was delicious. The waiters that served us İlyas, Kerim, Nazif, Lokman and Süleyman were very attentive and friendly. We had the çiğ köfte, veggie casserole, gavurdag salad and katmer. Highly recommended!

Absolutely terrible service, took 10 minutes to flag someone down to clean our table and waited another 15 mins without anyone coming to take our order or give water. We watched 3 other guest be seated and waited on after we got there, after we mentioned we had been waiting. Just left. Ive never written a review before it was so infuriating.

Wonderful traditional Turkish breakfast is available for non residents. On entering the courtyard from the street, you are greeted with a warm welcome and shown to a table. Very quickly, a large flask of tea, a bottle of water, a huge round turntable of 22 small dishes arrives: aubergines, charred peppers, tomatoes, cucumber, potatoes, 4 different types of olives, 2 cheeses, delicious honey, butter, jam, marmalade and more, accompanied by fresh warm bread, menemen, a spicy omelette, chips - an absolute feast and that is just for one person! Super friendly service and a special shout out to Hassan who was lovely and remembered me from the previous day. Best breakfast in Turkey!

Mediocre! I can't describe it any other way! We're travelling the region, inevitably eating our fair share of kebabs and this was, without doubt, the most disappointing we've had, in an area renowned for its cuisine. My wife had lahmacun and couldn't finish it because it was burnt and tasteless. I had fıstık kebab, which was fine but unexciting! In fairness, the soup we had was good! The bill was double what we've paid in other places - still not exactly expensive, but just not worth the extra money! Simply dull!

I couldnt wait to write the review and am writing it while still sitting here and sipping my tea. What an amazing place and the food is honestly to die for. We were a bit hesitant coming in because many places get tourist reviews but the food is not up to the mark. We had such an experience yesterday at Mardin where we doned at a popular restaurant and it was such a disappointment. This place on the contrary is an absolute gem. Thanks to Suleman we were able to navigate through the menu and he guided us to order the perfect combination of dishes for us. We couldn't figure out which one tasted better than the other. Service was impeccable extremely attentive. Kunafe was perfectly done and not over sweet and the tea was fresh. Wish we had more time here in sanliurfa to come back and try more dishes. But who knows we may come back all this way just to eat another meal here. Thank you to everyone for making this the highlight of our trip here.

We had wanted to try the breakfast but at 12:50pm was told it was too late. So instead we got a couple salads which were super refreshing and just right for the hot weather. The vegetable casserole was well seasoned and flavored. Tried the Ağzı Açık too which we just learned about at the Kitchen Museum nearby and it was crispy and pretty good. Appreciated the watermelon they treated us. Overall great service.

I ate dinner here and it was delicious! They have a large menu, and everything we got was super tasty. The menu also has english and bright photos. It makes it hard to choose because everything looks great. Highly recommend this spot.

Delicious kebabs and starters. The local dishes with walnuts and pomegranate are wonderful. The eggplant kebab is recommended as is the Urfa kebab. The desserts go quickly so order with your meal to arrive at the end. The restaurant is clean, the service was outstanding and the price was good. Lots of locals were here so that was a great sign.

We were crowded but the staff was fast, polite, responsive and smiling. The best thing I liked was the "içli köfte" it was totally amazing. Since we were a large group, the restaurant might have been warned to not put too much spice in the meat but there was none at all on the kebabs, which made them bland. The lahmacun was just tasteless meat with a lot of oil sitting on a piece of thin bread. I am an easy guy, it it easy to make me happy with food but that was not good. There was no spice in our food in the temple of spices, Şanlıurfa. The dessert was very low quality, the tea was tasteless, sorry.

It was very central, near to our hotel, the kebabs and the appetizers (içli köfte, lahmacun and çiğ köfte) were delicious and the service was quick. The tea afterwards was nice, unluckily there was no desser left, which shows their desserts are also wonderful. Went back the day after, definitely recommend it .

Good liver kebab in this place and fast service. They offer other kebabs as well but Ciger/Liver is their speciality. Clean and spacious. The staff does not speak English and you need to pay in cash in this place.

Terrible. We pointed out that the chips that came with the döner were cold and plasticky from having sat out for so long, to which they offered to put them in the microwave... Also ordered a karışık tost as the portions were so small we were still hungry, this took half an hour to arrive. My mum's lahmacun was somehow both bland and overly spicy. She asked for a demli çai but it came açık. Would not recommend.

I had dinner with my family more than one time. Service was awesome and Jason was very accommodating. It has wide option in menu. We will be back definitely!

Wow, if you're ever in Şanlıurfa, you have to try Ciğerci Rıza Usta. What an experience! The whole place has such an authentic vibe, and the food and service were just excellent. Everything we tried was incredibly tasty. A quick tip: if you're not a big fan of spicy food, definitely ask about the spice level before you order. We made a little mistake there ourselves! We ordered a cubed meat (kuşbaşı) kebab, and it was really spicy for us. But no worries, the staff were super understanding, and we easily swapped it for an Urfa kıyma kebab. And let me tell you, that kıyma (minced meat) was handmade and absolutely delicious! We also had the liver (ciğer) kebab, and it was just as amazing. Oh, and their ayran is a must-try – it's fantastic! The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly throughout our meal. We were especially impressed when Eyüp Usta personally made a wrap for my son with his own hands and presented it so nicely. It was a really thoughtful touch. Overall, it was a memorable meal, and I highly recommend it for a true taste of Urfa!

We visited this restaurant on one of the days of Ramadan Bayram 2025. We sat in a separate room because we had small children, it was very comfortable there. We and the children liked the food, and we took some of it home. I recommend this place!

Bathroom is clean, and has the Western toilet option, with the auto changing plastic on the seat, however no toilet paper! Great Mixed grill, delicious meat. Grilled lamb chops, beef steak, lamb kebab, chicken kebab, grilled chicken breast, and kofte. Some grilled tomatoes and chili. I arrived and asked for the menu. I pointed for what I wanted, the mixed grill, 55 TL (not cheap, but I wanted to try it). The food itself is very good, however they have served me salad and sauces , bread, water... And tried to charge me another almost 20 TL for it... They should have either mentioned the prices, or showed me the menu so I could choose my sides. Since they didn't, I thought they were included, as I was paying already a fairly high price. They eventually removed the extra charges and allowed me to pay the amount of my mixed grill, however not a pleasant experience. I wouldn't go back.

The food was good, but a bit too spicy for us. The service was good-moderate. I think we would have rated them a 4 or 5 … but they were not really friendly to the streetcats. So that put us off. We live partially in Alanya. People that work at restaurants, literally treat the cats as one of their visitors or clients or one of their own.

Not worth it — rude staff and disappointing food I’ve traveled all over Turkey and always felt welcomed, even without speaking the language. I use Google Translate, I’m respectful, and I’ve had great experiences everywhere—except here. The waiter was rude, walked away while I was speaking, and mumbled under his breath. He dropped off the food with attitude and didn’t check back once. The pita bread was old and tough, the portions were small, and the whole experience felt cold and rushed. We were so disappointed with this place. The food was fine, though not amazing. But the service was appalling! We asked for a bottle of water for the table; it did not come. We ordered Ayran; we had to remind them. We ordered tea; it did not come. In the end, I had to speak with the head waiter. All the waiters were gathered near the door, laughing and chatting, ignoring customers. As my wife said, it was like they didn't want to be there. Very poor impression of Şanlıurfa given tbh!

The location of the restaurant is very good. But expensive restaurant compare to surrounding restaurants. Another problem is they don't give bill (fatura). They just tell you the bill verbally and don't give proper bill. Which creates lot of discomfort,thus we will not be able to check what they are charging.

Great place inside the last hammam in Urfa. Serves delicious aubergine kebab which is a local delicacy. The owner is friendly and this is a family owned outlet. Would definitely recommend for your meal while you're in Urfa.

Absolutely deserving of 5 star for price/performance rating. You get complimentary yoghurt-cacık, green salad, and spicy acılı ezme (all 3 are cold mezes) per person as you are seated which is so filling by itself. Ambiance is attractive (historical hamam restored to what it is today), relative pricing and good service completes the overall experience! Complimentary coffee known as ‘mırra’ genuinely had a pleasant but pungant taste that neutralized the onion-heavy palate. Recommended dishes are lentil soup, terbiyeli tavuk (chicken kabaab), Adana kebap (spicy mince kabaab), çiğ köfte and içli köfte.

What a beautiful building, an old hammam with many different areas and salons one more interesting than the other. The welcome was kind and the gentleman spoke good English for was communication. It was very quiet during lunch, which was pleasant, I am sure it must be more lively for dinner. We only had Urfa and Adana kebabs and they were both delicious. It was blown away by their home made ayran it was frothy and smooth served cold in a large silver cup. The best ayran I ever had. Lots of options for traditional dessert, too.

Our hotel manager suggested we eat here and we were so glad we did! From the ground floor, it didn't look like much, but the upstairs dining room was a pleasant surprise! Especially with all the cats watching us from the roofs! :) We ordered just two kebab plates and the spread we got was so delightful, we still talk about it months later! Everything tasted new and yummy (to our palate) and after Istanbul, it felt super affordable for the price we paid! Thank you for a memorable meal! Service was laid-back, but good enough for us.

Havrani are playful with their ingredients and in some cases, dishes may surprise guests with unexpected sourness. It's a great venue that won't disappoint.
