Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Durbuy

The restaurant is housed in the hotel Sanglier des Ardennes. The venue is well appointed in black and yellow lighting. There are various menus as well as à la carte. Our party opted for the à la carte option, which was not an issue. The dishes were good but not great, which they should be given these prices and supposed high standing. You are supposed to select at least three dishes. As they did not have all options on offer, we picked a dessert instead. As the restaurant was quite busy, we had to wait long for our third dish. The waiter acknowledged their mistake and offered a complimentary glass of wine. All in all, a memorable place but not for real foodies.

Total disappointment, NOT RECOMMENDED Today we had lunch at this restaurant and unfortunately, left feeling deeply disappointed by an experience that simply did not live up to expectations, neither in terms of quality, service, nor overall value. We opted for their sharing menu, which is priced at €105 per person. While we expected a thoughtfully curated experience designed for two to enjoy, what we received were essentially individual portions, served as if meant for one, despite having clearly communicated that we were selecting the menu to share. Strikingly, we observed nearby tables ordering à la carte and receiving the same dish sizes. When we raised the issue, our server failed to provide a clear explanation, and the initial guidance on the menu structure had also been vague at best. To make matters worse, when I asked for clarification about the portion sizes and final bill, the response from the team was unexpectedly defensive and condescending. Comments like “this is how fine dining works,” or suggesting that “perhaps we’re more accustomed to American portion sizes” felt not only dismissive but entirely out of place especially considering that neither of us are American, and both of us work professionally in the field of luxury travel and hospitality. We are very familiar with what refined service and value should look like. This was not it. We had two glasses of champagne and two glasses of wine, the beverage selection was, to their credit, well curated and well presented. The wine program is probably the most consistent part of the offering. But beyond that, the experience fell flat. At the end of our meal, the bill came to nearly €300 for five small courses, two desserts, and four drinks. For that price point, one would expect a nice experience. Instead, what we got was underwhelming food, poor communication, and a dismissive attitude. To make sure we weren’t misunderstanding anything, I even took the time to speak with the reception staff at the hotel, who were incredibly kind and helpful. They understood my concerns, confirmed they were valid, and made the effort to follow up. I truly appreciated their professionalism, it stood in stark contrast to the service at the restaurant itself. Sadly, what could have been a memorable culinary evening turned into a frustrating and frankly baffling experience. We won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others who are genuinely seeking high-end hospitality. It’s simply not aligned with what it claims to be.

Ok dinner experience. Lots of variety on the menu to choose from. We had the toast anguile which was delicious, the lotte which was ok, and wagyu which was bad (3 slices to cook yourself not great quality); the ris de veau was good. The drinks ( we tried some mocktails) were well made. As regards to the atmosphere it was relaxed. We were seated first outside, but the tables are in such a bad shape and the noise of the street is rather loud, we were happy to change it to the inside. I don’t understand why not invest in better tables and dressing of the tables outside. We were told a kids menu was available from within the Sanglier hotel, but the waiters had never heard of it, so we just opted for a chicken dish for our small child, which worked out fine. Also, when moving to the inside, the waiters didn’t bother to help us moving the drinks, they were just standing there looking. As mentioned, a very relaxed atmosphere and a bit of amateurish service (but friendly).

Really enjoyed their idea of ‘tapas of the world’. The tapas were refined and delicious. Three per person is more than enough. We especially loved the lobster lasagne, tuna tataki and the mini bao burgers. The place itself looks great inside and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!

We went to the smallest town to walk around and dine. Except, a lot of restaurants were closed! So we stumbled upon this restaurant/bar in the afternoon and went in for drinks. It was cosy, dog friendly and had great service. In the evening, we reserved a table and went for the menu sharing course. They were creatively presented and the dishes complimented eachother.

Very nice food and drinks! Definitely a place to visit if you're looking for tapas like food. The choice of dishes is very international. You'll find food from multiple origins and cultures. Just be aware that it's a little pricey and I must say the music choice was not my favorite..

A perfect restaurant located in the center of Durbuy. This family-run restaurant has been around for over 30 years, with the father, mother, and their two daughters working together. The ambiance and service are impeccable. They serve traditional cuisine, and most importantly, everything is incredibly delicious and fresh. Highly recommended!⭐️⭐️ P.s. The most important thing—I forgot to mention the main dish, which was absolutely delicious! Next time, I’ll take a picture.🙈

Wow. What amazing restaurant. I mean, the food. I had some roasted courgette and ham for starters. Brilliant, really did whet the appetite. I had the chicken for main. My oh my, the best chicken I've ever had I reckon. The sauce/broth...I start salivating just thinking about it. I thought I'd always hate baby onion, but somehow they'd seasoned them in such a way that I not just tolerated, but loved baby onions for the first time in my life! Lettuce was fresh and the dressing delicious. Fries were first rate. Other stuff too. The staff were attentive and welcoming. And the aesthetics - I can't think of a more charming restaurant, off the top of my head. They had loads of regulars coming in on a Monday night. That should tell you more than my individual great experience.

The food at the restaurant is really good quality and the dishes are well thought out with the sauces and side dishes. The menu is "fixed" or you choose starter + main course or main course + dessert. Although this is the case, they offer options that include meat, fish, poultry and others. You need to make a reservation in advance, although there were empty tables in the restaurant they weren't accepting customers without a reservation. Although the food was good, the service could be improved. The waiters were a bit rude, doing everything quickly instead of welcoming and paying attention to the customers in a gentle way. The food also took around an hour after we ordered it, and as there are few options on the menu (only 4 or 5 main courses) I expected the preparation to be quicker. Finally, the bill is handed to you in pen on a piece of paper, which shows little care for aesthetics and customer service, not only by the waiters, but also in these details. The food is good, but there are areas for improvement because a good restaurant isn't just about good food.

Very good restaurant. The starter/main course or main course/dessert menu is well developed. The quality of the products is perfect, they are fresh and prepared very well. I have been there several times and always a pleasure ! The welcome is also very friendly and the setting is nice. Everything you need to have a good time and eat well. I recommend !

Took a two-course menu with a starter and a main course. Served with a basket of breads with butter to start with before the first course was offered. It was nice. The dishes tasted very good. The service was good. The price seems a bit high. But the food quality is much better than some other restaurants with a comparable price.

We had two of the 44 euro starter/main combos. The starters were tasteful. We had beef (+5 euros) and lamb for mains. Cheap, chewy cuts of meat not worthy of the price, however well prepared. Would not go again or recommend to friends and family.

The lamb and veggies were basically raw and had no taste. When we asked, they said it’s “regulation.” Guess regulations now include banning flavor.🫣

I have a message to the management of the restaurant. Do not put the amount of tables you can’t serve on time or hire more staff. Our food took one hour to arrive without anyone warning us about long waiting time. The food arrived cold. The taste of food was fine tho.

Ok restaurant. We had the local trout. Tasted fine and well cooked. We visited on a weekend in August with good weather. Even though Place was packed, we were served well and on time.

A spontanious diner. As a Spareribs "lover", I was surprised. The flesh was very tender, the marinade was different than I am used to. Tomato/Italian- ish. But a very nice surprise and I loved it. My gf had the homemade lasagne and she enjoyed the taste. The staf was ok. Orderly and efficient. When it started to rain, they took care of the clients so everyone could have a dry inside dinner. We had a good diner. Thank you for that.

Expensive, but tasty coffee. Good service overall, though one waiter was a bit unclear when we asked for the check, he said yes and then just hung around at the bar... We ended up going inside to get the check ourselves.

The biggest problem, for me, with this place, was the 1h waiting time to get the food considering it wasn't full. There was another problem with men and women toilets, these were out of order during the 2h visit we were there and they didn't offer any solution. It is worth mentioning the quality was average, none of us was satisfied with the food. This is just the classic tourist restaurant well ornamented but with no intention to provide quality food or a real service.

Friendly and helpful waiter, even while it was during a busy time. Good Brussels waffles, but not special. Cappucino and milkshake were quite good.

The food was really tasty. If you look for typical brasserie dishes with some local touch (with local cheese),you don’t get disappointed. The service is rather quick. The staff are friendly and attentive. Child friendly. Parking in front of the brasserie is for free after 19:00.

A very nice place to dine. The atmosphere is great and authentic, decoration different than usual (in a better way) and the staff friendly all things considered. The entrees were superb, both the frog legs and the shrimp tartare, but the main courses were quite neutral. The fish was cooked well, but the overall taste was not something that stood out, as well as the truffle in the ravioli was a bit too much and heavy. The dessert was amazing, baba au rum with rosemary ice cream like it came from the heaven! A very good experience overall.

If you ever visit Durbuy, i highly recommending this place to you. They've got the best "truffle ravioli" I've ever eat. Friendly staff, very good location to go on a date. Good price quality. Nice wine.

Durbuy is an unbelievably charming little town. Lots of wonderful sights and a fantastic location. And this restaurant here was a great choice to get some lunch. Definitely the best food we've had during our stay in Belgium. It was a bit of a rainy day but the terrace was fully covered and warm enough, so we took a table there. Our Bulldog was welcome as well. There was no english menu and our waiter didn't speak english as well. Luckily I freshed my limited french up a bit the past few weeks, so ordering was no problem. Ordered some wine and beef carpaccio with burrata and a plate of bone-marrow. Never had the combination of burrata (a milkier, creamier version of mozzarella) and carpaccio. But it was a perfect match. Very good choice. The bone-marrow was as it should be. Nicely roasted. Creamy bone marrow, nicely spiced. If you love bone-marrow, then this is for you. They did it very well here. For the main we've had warm foie gras and truffle ravioli in cream sauce. Both dishes perfectly done. Foie gras was cooked to perfection. Great quality as well. We just love Foie Gras. The truffle ravioli another great choice. A good size load of pasta and a rich sauce with some truffles (besides the truffle-filling). Very very good. All in all a great place to have lunch or dinner. Great atmosphere as well. Fair prices. Really enjoyed our meal here.

Beautiful restaurant attached to the castle of Durbuy were the food is lovely and tasteful. Friendly staff and very reasonable price, we've been here for the last 3 years and it's always nice to come.

EDIT: In the reply below, the owner claims that it is indicated on their website that they are closed on 24/12. It was in fact not indicated at the time of booking, and also not today (I trust that they will rapidly add this information now). They also claim to not have been working with Tablebooker for a long time, but the link was definitely on their website when I booked (otherwise I would not even have known about Tablebooker, which I hadn't heard of before). It is a sad state of affairs when business owners use an "apologetic" reply to in fact blame the customer for the situation. Stay very, very far away from this place. They accepted our booking for Christmas eve on 27 October and apparently only now, on 11 December, realise that they will be closed that day. To add insult to injury, they don't even have the courtesy to call us - they cancel by anonymous e-mail. This means we cannot find an alternative anymore and we will probably have to cancel our stay in Durbuy completely. Funnily enough they still appear to be taking bookings for that day on Tablebooker. Total incompetence. Le fou indeed.

I tried to give 4.4 but google doesn’t let me anymore. However for the price and the quality this was an overall good dining experience. Presentation of a high quality mixed with some simple but tasty dishes. Simplicity is often key and I think this restaurant has managed this along with a cosy atmosphere.

A fantastic experience. The food was amazing (we had the 5 course menu). The seabass and pigeon in particular were fantastic. Brilliant service and of course, a lovely location.

We had lunch at this restaurant on a Sunday. The food is great, prices are fair but service is slow. They do prioritise quality over speed so if you are pressured for time, please be mindful of the lengthy time between courses. However, delicious food and great wine pairing. Recommended.

We had Saturday lunch (no reservation). Very good and tasty food. The menus are good value for money, a la carte is quite expensive. Friendly service in French or Flemish, and it was no problem that we brought along our 1 year old in his buggy (although its a bit small space so I can imagine if it’s busy it’s not so convenient). As it says outside on the menu, the chef prefers quality over speed, it indeed wasn’t very fast, but if you’re not in a hurry the pace is alright and allows you to enjoy the dishes (and drinks). The coffee was served with some very nice sweet treats. No vegetarian options at the 3 course menu.

This is a brilliant restaurant that is worth the trip to Durbuy. The chef is super creative and you really feel that he cooks with love. Fantastic five course tasting menu, changes every month and a half. The wine list is excellent and is good value for money. Very nice friendly and efficient service. This was as close to perfection as it gets, from start to finish. We will be returning as soon as possible.

A gastronomic experience at a reasonable price. Wine pairing is fair and the staff is nice. Located a bit aside from the main touristic route, so it is quieter than other places in Durbuy. The only negative moment is an exaggerated waiting time between the courses, I agree that good food takes time but not that much…

Superb food! The wait was long (around an hour, and everyone in the restaurant seemed fed up). There is also a policy against sharing one meal between two people, which while understandable does set a negative tone before we even get the food. Would have been nicer if this were compensated through higher prices or smaller portions instead! Tip: make sure to ask how long the wait will be before you have a seat!

Wonderful place and wonderful people, finally a Italian place that screams Italian and taste like Italian and yes even the cook was Italian! We ordered 3 Quattro cheese (4 in total, 1 takeout) pizza’s and 1 vegetarian pizza. I was full, but I couldn’t stop eating.. they was a lot topping, but not to much and it had a lot of taste to it. As someone who lives in a small village in west Germany, we don’t get that here from Italian places. We simple get oily bread with no taste, so this was a absolute treat.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived 35 minutes before closing time, only to be told the kitchen was already closed. This made no sense, especially since there were still people outside ordering and receiving food. If the kitchen closes earlier than the listed hours, that should be made clear. Poor communication and unprofessional service—won’t be coming back. Edit: First of all, we were not a group of 8 people. Secondly, if you present yourself as an Italian restaurant and are unable to serve a simple plate of spaghetti Bolognese or a Margherita pizza, perhaps it’s time to reconsider your business approach. What was even more disappointing was the arrogance of your staff. The way we were mistreated, simply because we are foreigners, was extremely disrespectful. I say this with confidence, as people outside who spoke your language were still able to order food, while we were turned away. When I return to Durbuy, I will make sure to avoid your establishment. Dinner was lovely, for main course I had the lasagne and for desert I had the Tiramisu speculoos. Loved it. Almost ordered a second serving of the tiramisu. We also had our dog (Golden retriever) with us what luckily was no problem. We sat outside don’t know if they are allowed inside.

Nice Italian restaurant with delicious food. I ordered the carbonara which was very tasty. A bit too much sauce and meat (carbonara is a simple dish with a small amount of cheese and meat). The bolognese pasta was delicious too. We also had the pana cotta for dessert. Not quite like the original version but was light and yummy.

Okay Italian food you can get everywhere, but at Mama Gusto you can get amazing Italian food! The food is authentic Italian and ingredients are fresh. Whether it is the homemade pizza, the pasta or meat, we liked everything there. The deserts where also great with good coffee and/or alcohol to finish the night. Made our day! Food is amazing. Big portions. Make sure you make a reservation . Great view The only min point was the service : they don’t make any eye contact and it can take forever till they come to you table.

It's a wonderful place to visit with the family. There is something for everyone to enjoy, regardless of age. Adults might appreciate the beer brasserie, while the younger ones could explore l’agri-musée. Lunch can be had at the Brasserie Rochehaut, where the food and service are commendable. Following the meal, the animal park is a must-see, and a ride on the mini-train through the village would be a pleasant experience. Finally, a visit to the shop offers the opportunity to purchase their local beers, juices, sausages, and many other more items to take home.

We only went for drinks and to enjoy the lovely view. Great beers and a small shop if you want a souvenir or some beers to enjoy at home.

It was a really great place to spend time and enjoy good beers, cheeses, and delicious food with a fascinating view. If you have kids, it’s also a wonderful place for them! When we were there, there was live music, which made everything even better. If you’re passing through this destination, I would absolutely recommend it.

No English menu. Service is really bad…server came to us and we said that we need more time and after that we was waiting very long time for him to come again. Then we ordered, he bring us food, when we was finished eating all waiters was eating, joking and playing with each other. We waited for 15minutes or more. Few tables around as was looking for waiters as well. And ours waiter after all didint come, we asked another one to bring us box for take away and get bill. (The bill we didint got we asked again in the cashier). Food not bad…

We love the beer especially IPA. Restaurant you should book upfront. It’s very busy. Warning: plank for 2 people can successfully feed 4. Or we have too small stomachs 🤣

The food is good, but the service is terrible. We were waiting for our food more the an hour, it was not a complex dinner, it was just one main dish per person. And after that we were waiting for the check another 20 minutes to discover that we have to go to the cash till. Do not recommend

Nice restaurant with a large variety of meat dishes. We preferred the filet pur over the bavette wagyu. Dishes come without any fries, sauce, or side dish, which you have to order separately. Certain wines can be ordered by the glass. Restaurant is connected to hotel, next door.

A very nice restaurant with good food but for these prices (we did have the wagyu steaks) you would expect more. Like cooking at the table? There are more tourists with shorts there eating hamburgers which we like, but that doesn’t count up for the prices of the other meals. We did use a 1 star restaurant before with same price but the experience there was much more value. However, the Wagyu steaks were great! Service was nice but some speak only French language, in 2025?

Deze review is niet mals, net als het vlees hier. Aesthetically pleasing place but sauce was €6 and carpaccio comes straight from the fridge. The beer was great and wine was fine for what its worth. The waiters were nice and helpful. My friend ordered spare ribs and it looked like road kill, see attached. Side dishes seem rushed and cheap as well. The price point doesnt match the quality at all.

The meat was good, I liked the chicken also. Variety of side dishes. It is located in the city center with an easy access and parking next to it.

As you would expect, very professional and polite personnel. High quality establishment and food. Very nicely grilled and great desert. Of course it's pricy but I thought it was definitely worth it. Located in the ever so beautiful historic center of Durbuy as part of Les Sangliers restaurants and hotel.

The food was very good and the service/waitress too ☺️. A little notice: unfortunately the glasses had many stains and marks. Nevertheless the location was great.

O.M.G. A small sauce on the side is 6!!!! euro in this restaurant. That is just robbery in plain sight. Apparently they are kings in exaggerating, because they also fabulously overprice their meat. I was genuinely suprised that they didn't charge the inhaled oxygen during our dinner. Dont even start with my spare ribs. No way in the world that can qualify as meat. The substance they dare to call meat was chewy and I had to tear it off the bones with force; even a starving volture would not have finished them. The only positive thing was the waiter, he responded really adequately to all our complaints. Please go here if you want to rob yourself and overpay enormously for your meat!

Worth the wait. Property Belgian food, think quantity as quality. Lovely terrace and okay inside. Lots of good wine for sale and toys for the kids. We had the ham, eggs, crepes (which were more like Dutch pancakes than French styled crepes) and a croque monsieur with lots of fries. The wait was almost an hour for us, which was tricky with hungry kids but if you’re looking for a solid Belgian food look no further (just make sure you’ve had a snack beforehand) — also check out their special edition beers on tap, great selection!

English is still a hard language here, sadly. But the beer choice was huge. Only went here for a drink, service was great, peanuts served with the drinks. Definitely a very nice café.

Very nice bistro with excellent service. Only one waiter spoke English, but she was very helpful! The whole restaurant was reserved, but since we drove a long way to get there and we only wanted moules frites wich was an easy course for the chef we got to sit down in their beautiful surroundings and enjoy a true Belgium meal.

Acceptable food, nice variety of beers. Friendly staff, don't speak too much English but make every effort to take care of you, communicate with you, and explain the menu. The entire restaurant is attended to by only two people, thus service can take sometime. But it is always friendly and helpful. Very laid back place.

A perfect place to have a bite and to sample local beer after visiting the famous neolithic standing stones and dolmens of Wéris and Oppagne. good quality for a fair price. Wéris village is a quaint place too with lots of hiking routes marked and starting from there. Not crowded at all.

15 minutes just to order something, then another 10 minutes just to get two coffees. Staff was not pleased we didn't order anything to eat and was very unfriendly overall. They acted very stressed, but the place wasn't even full. Very bad experience due to incompetent staff.

Durbuy has also their own locally brewed beer – Marckloff at La Ferme au Chêne. Located along the River Ourthe, the brewery cum restaurant is easy to spot as it seems to be the one and only one around the vicinity. Remember to try the beer when you are in Durbuy!

The only good thing is beer. The food was very expensive and absolutely awful. I almost never write bad reviews but I feel obliged to warn other tourists about this place.

Great food! During our visit there were a lot of wasps. That spoiled the experience a bit. 4 stars due to the location (on a busy cross road). Otherwise I would have given 5 stars. I would recommend

A lovely place to enjoy a bit in Trois-Ponts, it's just around the corner of the main road and it's quite motorcycle friendly with a loooot of parking places for two-wheelers. Food tastes great, service was nice and price was reasonable as well.

Passed by for a drink after exploring the area, large terrace and a wide selection to eat and drink. The only food we ordered besides our drinks were nachos and it was nothing special. Some confusion happened with our drinks but overall nothing to complain about. Map in French, English and NL was also a plus.

Don't waste your time going here for food. All our hot meals were cold, the staff wasn't particularly friendly and they were confusing taking orders. Most of us ordered fresh carrot soup. Took forever for them to bring it. Soup was not much, maybe less than 200ml, not warm and extremely overpriced. 7 EUR included some supermarket bread. The toasted bread, same story unfortunately. You better walk past this place and look elsewhere...

Such a great place! Don't fall for the lame food market nearby: at the Brasserie de la Messe you can order real beers and get real advice from real, adorable people. Go for it!

Pretty good. We had a bottle of La Chambrée and a three testing beers. Unfortunately they gave us Chambrée in the testing set too... Other than that it was cozy and pleasant.

I passed by this place on a Saturday morning bike ride. The lady working there was welcoming (plus, she spoke a good English, which is quite uncommon in the area) and I could order a nice set of snacks (cheese, sausage) for lunch on their terrace. The menu also offers a set of locally-brewed beers, including a degustation menu with 3 types of beers. Just a suggestion: I'd put some wasp traps because sweet food can be easily covered by insects.

The place has zero service. after coming through messy and dirty back door and waiting at least 10 minutes inside to order beer, we were told by a boy behind the bar to go back and get and wait on the terrace. nobody was actually serving the terrace and there were bunch of people sitting for a li g time with no drinks. then we saw some people being allowed to order inside. some of them said they were waiting 30 mins to get the bottled beer. very disappointing and also the fact that brewery sells only bottled beers ( or small degustation glasses) and there is no chance to buy tap local beer. after waiting for a long time and not receiving service, we left. I would recommend not to visit this place.

Very attractive from outside but a little dessapointed inside with a lack of choice in meats. Although lots of Salami type meets available... We bought a Pate , which was lovely. Could really do with a bakers in the village where the Bouchers could link with to create lovely Sandwiches and even soups! I guess it is very much a seasonable village but doesn't have to be!

As an Australian, I love my meat. This place has that and so much more to tingle your tastebuds. Great and friendly service by the owner and staff, and love the decor and energy of the place. Highly recommend.

1 of the best sausages i have had for sure. I took 3 home with me and enjoy them as i type. Relax eat sausage drink some ale. Life is good

The shop sells not only charcuterie but also paninis and sandwiches for as low as €2.50. The flagship product here is the ‘salaison‘ which is the salted meat in different kind of flavours.

Primarily, this shop is a butcher. But we could buy sandwiches here. My choice is hum and cheese. It's delicious, not only meat but also baguette.

The restaurant was empty by the time we left. They had served everyone and made us wait.

Visiting Restaurant La Caleche on a Friday afternoon… it was not very busy or crowded. Only 3 table were occupied, so we sat down. Both waitresses did see us and serving on the other tables. We din't stay at the hotel but was recommended this restaurant to have an evening meal. We booked in advance. The restaurant is fairly somber but well decorated. It took a while for the menu to be presented (I had to ask for them)! We chose the fixed menu 3 course meal, which was lovely. The Gambas sauce could have done with being thicker though. My husband had the beef, which was excellent and so we enjoyed the Pinot gris from the Alsace I do think the waiters need to present themselves a little better. Smart with a suitable uniform (not a sweat jumper!!) It just looked out of place. A little improvement that will make a big difference I think. No one checked if our meal was ok. It would have been nice to be asked. All in all it was a lovely experience though. Just need to consider some of the above to make the experience extra special. Thank you

We told the staff we were from the Netherlands and didn’t speak French, but they kept speaking French anyway. No effort, no interest in their guests at all. The terrace and location look nice, but the number of flies is disgusting, it completely ruins the atmosphere. The food? A total joke. The mixed grill was embarrassing (see photo). The chicken, both from the mixed grill and another dish had zero flavor. No salt, no seasoning, just dry, bland meat. And then we had to wait an absurd amount of time for dessert. How long can it possibly take to serve two Dame Blanche and one brownie? It’s all pre-made just scoop some ice cream and go. Unacceptable.

I have rarely experienced anything this bad! The room was extremely noisy – you could hear everything from the neighbors and the hallway all night long. The fridge didn’t work, the air conditioning was broken, and the staff were downright rude when we pointed out the issues. We barely slept because of the noise and the unbearable heat, and the staff did absolutely nothing to help. This place is a complete disgrace – save yourself the trouble and book anywhere else!

Restaurant is well located and has a nice terrace. However, the food was terrible here. The pizza was clearly not made on site and tasted frozen...and a bad frozen pizza at that. The dough, tomato sauce, and cheese all tasted terrible. The waffle we had was decent, but a little undercooked. The fresh fruit topping for the waffles is not fresh and clearly comes from some type of fruit salad mix. The strawberry topping was pretty good though.

We have voted with our company of six and came to a score of 2 out of 5. The music is not the kind fit for a restaurant setting. Our ober was only wearing his mask over his mouth, which was not very safe. The pizza's we ate were most definitely deep freeze pizza's with added topping (we had three, every one had a load of cheese underneath the toppings and had the typical freezer pizza texture. My sister ordered canneloni, which was on the menu as 'cream and tomato' (as ingredients), but when it arrived there was also meat in it. This was confusing since the meat in every other dish was mentioned as an ingredient... This is all excusable, but the price was way too high for the quality and effort put into the food (16 euro deep freeze pizza...)

I chose this place to celebrate my husband's birthday. We chose the Inspiration Gourmande Menu, which was a good choice overall, most pleasantly impressed we were with the raw tuna and the calf sweetbread. Very nice plating of each course with very good combination of different ingredients, very creative ,but one dish was for us personally way too salty, we could not feel the flavor of the food. The quantity compared to other restaurants in the same category of stars is indeed minimalist, but we must also take into account the price of the menu which is decent. Table service was good, except for one waiter who served my husband first and then me, which does not meet culinary standards of service. We were asked if we wanted to sit outside on the terrace or inside, we chose to sit outside and this turned out not to be a good choice as both my husband and I found these chairs very uncomfortable, that top bar is extremely uncomfortable at the back ,which made us want to leave as soon as possible. We would come back to this place ?maybe ,but we would definitely choose to stay inside and maybe try another menu.

We were really looking forward to dining here over the holidays, while visiting family in the region. Sadly, our entire experience was an tremendous disappointment. From the moment we arrived and were told to go seat ourselves at a particular table... not the welcome you expect from a Michelin star restaurant. We all took the menu of the season, which included amuse bouches that tasted stale (or previously frozen), followed by courses that were strange mixes of seafood (which tasted extremely strong) and meat, and even cheese. The main dishes were almost inedible. I personally had the lotte, that was served to me with a large portion of rubbery/blubbery skin attached that I had to eat around. Others had a dish with venison tartare, which was so salty, they couldn't eat it. We aren't very picky eaters, but this was surprisingly awful. The worst part, however, was the service, with servers who recited scripts of ingredients, while never even looking at us. And when we expressed our disappointment with the portion of lotte I was served, they responded with aggorgance as if it were our own fault! Lastly, the atmosphere is dated and sad. Please do not waste your time or money here. With so many beautiful restaurants in the area, this one is certainly not worth it.

Dissapointment. Went here because of the raving reviews, was surprised to see a Michelin star on the door. Food in two words: unbalanced and chaotic. Taste combinations did not make sense, less is more. Great ingredients ruined by too much differing conflicting flavours on the plate. Every course the same edible flowers and greens tossed on. Presentation simply bad. And of course, the unoriginal tomato dessert, which never works. Service was excellent though, great compliments to them.

If you want to try something new and venture out of your comfort zone try this place. Here you can experience some unusual combinations such as poultry and seafood or tomato confit as a desert. We had a nice dinner in this place. The price was a bit steep, but then you get good food, special, fresh and just delicious. Portions were quite right. The servers were attentive and looking friendly. I just missed an ambiance, but other than that, i really like this restaurant and surely will go back (if only it’s not 2 hours drive away).

We stumbled on this restaurant due to a recommendation from our b&b host. We entered the restaurant and were immediately surprised by how fancy it looked, so we were a bit afraid our wallets were going to suffer. Immediately after, a very friendly server greeted us. He was fluent in French, Dutch and English which made it really easy for us. He sat us down and we glanced over the menu. The price for three courses was only 45 euros – a surprise to us, so we decided to get a starter, main course and dessert. The atmosphere gave us the idea that this would be an amazing experience. The lights gave a calming vibe, the people were quiet... All in all, a really good start. After ordering our dishes, we were surprised by a delicious appetizer. While I’m usually not a fan of paté, I absolutely loved this. The crunchy toast combined with the savoury taste only reinforced our initial feeling; This definitely was going to be amazing. Some time after that, we got our starter. My carpaccio arrived and I was just stunned. It looked so fancy! I combined everything – the toast as a base, with a small piece of meat on top. A bit of paste, (fake) caviar and sauce and to top it off, a leaf of arugula. I can’t really describe the taste except for saying that it was the most delicious dish of carpaccio I ever ate. The only downside was that there wasn’t more! My girlfriend chose the sushi dish. The sauce was slightly spicy, but really tasteful. The rice was cooked perfectly and the smoked salmon just as salty as needed. All together, it was an amazing mix of different flavors. For our main course, we chose the steak and the ribs. I am not exaggerating when I say that it was the best steak I ever had. It was really tender and juicy; the taste melted in my mouth. The crust had a slightly grilled taste, perfectly flavored and the sauce was an amazing addition. The ribs were glazed with honey which gave it a slightly sweet taste and they sled right of the bone; There was no meat stuck on the bone, even when you just pulled it of the bone with a fork. It was paired with a side of risotto which also tasted great. To end our fantastic dinner, I had a simple ice cream with strawberries with a delicious sweet, alcohol induced strawberry sauce. While it wasn’t as special as the previous courses, it still tasted great. My girlfriend was eager to taste the chocolate ravioli when she saw it on the menu. She loves both pasta and chocolate, and was amazed when she actually got her chocolate pasta. I can’t quite describe how it tasted – it tasted like both pasta and chocolate at the same time. The ravioli itself was filled with a chocolate paste. This was all presented in a vanilla sauce with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle. All in all, this was by far the best dinner experience we’ve had in our life. We paid around 50 euros each for four courses and drinks. The calming atmosphere only added to that experience. Just because of this, we’ll definitely be making a trip to Durbuy a yearly vacation!

I loved the atmosphere and authenticity to the place. The cocktail capability is lacking but that is the way I find it at a number of places in Europe. My daughters had the Caesar and were shocked with the anchovies on them which I then had to educate and appreciated that piece. The duck was enjoyable and I liked the atmosphere as a whole. Awesome and friendly staff, especially as they were patient with my English.

Despite arriving early, we were not given a table, while others who came after us were seated immediately. We had to ask multiple times before we were finally given a table. But the issues didn’t stop there—service was incredibly slow, and when we asked politely about the delay, the staff member literally threw his order machine aside and rudely told us, “Yes, it’s like this. You can walk out if you want.” We couldn’t believe the way we were treated—it felt like outright discrimination. It’s shocking to receive such disrespect in a tourist place. We felt like we were treated differently just because we were a group of ladies, and it genuinely felt like racism. This experience has completely ruined our evening, and we strongly do **not recommend ** this place to anyone. I would like to bring this matter to the attention of the in-charge person or management, as this kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable in any establishment, let alone in a place that is supposed to be welcoming to visitors.

Today we group of ladies gone for lunch. From the beginning, the staffs were not responding properly. People came after us were received their services. But we were not attended for long time. After multiple request, after long waiting time , waiter attended our table . When we checked for the delay in a polite way, the waiter was very RUDE and replied ‘This is how here . Worst ever service by the hotel staff.Very unprofessional and RACIST Behaviour by the waiters and waitressers. I ask the hotel management to train the staff some basic manners. We were a group a ladies,they made us to wait for a long time even though there was table availability. As we were tourists, they showed pure RACISM towards us. I would like to file a complaint on this restaurant . Very Rude behaviour towards the customers. NEVER VISIT THIS UGLY PLACE.

The food is overpriced for the quality they offer. We had 26euros lobster roll but it wasn’t lobster, just crevettes. 3 small croquettes cost 4 euros piece. Very small portions, crazy prices: it’s a Tapas bar with an expensive restaurant price. Ok top of this, the services is non existent, people are not nice.

It was my second time in this Michelin star restaurant. It portrays the real Wallonia and brings its atmosphere, with the view on the peaceful but still Belgian weather. Food is well presented and tastes not worse then looks for sure, it is very delicious and super well prepared! However, I will give 4 stars as I would expect a little better service, and more communicative staff, also our table wasn’t well surrounded by care of waters, it was not cleaned after the mane dish to prepare it for the desert. These are small details but they matter in such restaurants.

Besides the hight quality the Chef spent some time in explaining personally some preparation and ingredients, and this gave another insight into the dishes. The taste was great, as the chef uses a bit less ingredients than other chefs, meaning you really taste what you eat and you have a great sensation while eating. Very friendly staff. 6 stars! Cancel all the reservations you have and make sure this one is confirmed. It is possible to eat inside (modern style) or outside (stylish authentic). It was more than a wonderful evening due to the menu we had. From the amuses to the omble, the fine and boneless pigeon, to the cheese platter one could choose (nothing in 2 weeks France has beaten theirs!) & finally the desert which was hidden in a chocolate bowl and was broken by the staff on my plate! It had fruits and parfait hidden in it! Wow! Great staff that explained everything in detail. It is possible to sleep there too. Probably advisable after having their wine arrangements (lucky we had a driver!) Its on top of my list to revisit due to all the epic tastes!

It's very good however barely the level of one michelin star. The service needs to be a little better and more attetive. They need to take care of details, like changing cutlery every dish. The prices were very reasonable.

Friendly staff and nice environment on the outskirts of town. However, while they tried really hard to make the menu creative, the execution just wasn't there. For example, pork was nice, but 1/3 of it was pure fat. Friendly people, but probably wouldn't go back.

We went for the 4 course gourmet menu. It was great, offering a wide range of aromas. With the food nicely served. The weather was nice so we could sit outside which made for a nice evening. Host and personal was swift and friendly. Would go again.

Visited this place this evening as it looked nice from the outside. When we entered there were just a few people eating. A waiter appeared after a few moments and seated us at a table for 2. He seemed quite friendly at this point. Our experience changed once the food arrived. My husband ordered pizza and I asked for carbonara, the Italian way. They arrived rather quickly which always makes me feel suspicious. My carbonara already had parmesan on it, no parmesan on the table for me to add as I liked. My husband's pizza looked like the topping had just been piled onto a cardboard looking base. He had a problem cutting it as the base was hard. I took some of my pasta and was immediately disappointed. The pasta was hard, and there was no taste at all. Not sure where the egg was, it tasted as if they had used some kind of stock which had a mushroomy taste. I went to find the waiter to tell him. He appeared from a room, probably the kitchen and I explained my issue. His friendliness quickly changed to arrogance and said the pasta was "al dente". I know what 'al dente' is, and that wasn't it. He spoke to me as if I didn't know what it should taste like. I told him it wasn't good and his reply was " I don't know, I didn't taste it." Then, he just said "Sorry" and walked away. I went back to the table and tried another mouthful, and then pushed my dish aside. I could not eat it. After 5 minutes, the waiter came to ask if I wanted anything else, I said no, take it away. By this time, I was annoyed by the fact he didn't offer to do anything when I first told him. My husband ate some more of his pizza as he was hungry, but after a few more slices he stopped. He said it was the worst pizza he had eaten. Once the plate had been removed, we decided to leave. Once again, the waiter wasn't present. He kept disappearing to go and speak to his colleagues. I shouted to him and said we wanted to pay. During this time he told me he had tried my carbonara and that nothing was wrong with it. Of course, he would say that as he wanted to defend his colleagues. I told him I had eaten a lot of carbonaras in my life, in Italy and other countries and they were not like the one they served up. In conclusion, I will not return to this restaurant, food was terrible and the service wasn't much better. I wish I had read the reviews before going.

Terrible service! We had to wait a waiter for more than twenty minutes even though it is not crowded. We also had to wait for another twenty minutes even though we only ordered a very simple drink and crepe. We looked at other customers nearby, but they were served much quicker than us. Smoothie is not tasty and not drinkable at all and crepe is not good. If you don’t want to waste your precious vacation time, you should avoid this place.

Pathetically slow and unhelpful service. It's like they couldn't be bothered. Had to ask the waiter to take my order. Food didn't come until I prompted the waiter to chase it up. When it did arrive my food was fine enough but my wife's order was rubbish. Would recommend anywhere else in Durbuy apart from this place. Best to avoid.

Service was ok. Music & accomodation was ok. Food was below expectation - 1 star. Not going to eat in this restaurant again. We ordered with friends a medium rare entrecote. Received a fully rare entrecote which was sent back to the kitchen on my request. Received it back from the kitchen and it was rebaked. Still not great, refer to picture of ‘medium rare’ entrecote.

Ordered two cappuccino’s and all we got was some brown warm water with a small 3mm transparent foam layer, what a disgrace for 4,50 euros per cappuccino … didn’t even taste like coffee. You better order coffee on the opposite side of this place; la brasserie Ardennaise. Perfect and delicious cappuccino’s.

For the price the quality and portions of food was horrible. People had the mixed grill and some pieces of meat was missing. The potions were extremely small. The food was flavourless and overcooked. The music was super loud and very random genres. We all had upset stomachs an hour/two after the meal. I have no clue how this has 3.6 stars… really disappointed with the wasted time and money.

I went out to dinner here with my girlfriend and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was cosy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and spoke both Dutch and French. The menu had plenty of choice, prices were fair, and the portions were good. Overall, nothing extraordinary, but simply good food and drinks in a nice setting.

We (wife and kids) went a couple of weeks ago to this place to have some dinner. We ate outside where they have a beautiful garden very close to a small river. There is a playground for kids. The food is lovely. I ordered a entrecôte and it was very tastefull. Fresh food made. If i'm in the environment again, I will come by again to have dinner.

We went here for just for diner. Website in French, Dutch and English. Menu in Dutch and French. Staff spoke French and Dutch which was very welcome. Deer and hind are very good. We had someone order a steak Rare which was more like medium to well done, which was a bummer. It was a good experience and I would recommend it!

We had dinner at La Passarelle on a hot Sunday evening. The terrace was full, with diners enjoying the beautiful view over the river with the chateau in the background. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served promptly and with friendliness. I had the local grilled trout with almonds, which was fresh and perfectly cooked. The moules were delightful, the cocktails delicious. The terrace has a beautiful garden with a great play area for kids. We stayed long into the night enjoying this little jewel in the countryside. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly decent Italian in the middle of the countryside! I enjoyed my pasta, it was unique and very good. The service was okay. In Durbuy there are not a lot of good restaurant options available because it’s so small, but this place managed to meet the needs, and I was happy with the food.

I was there my friend for two times and each time we had something amazing. The bread they offer as an entree is soooo delicious. The first time he had the Amatriciana with Pancetta which was amazing. The second time I had the Linguine Crustacés and it was amazing as well.

I was looking forward to a relaxed evening, but unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was far from pleasant. From the start, the service was unaccommodating. When we ordered our main course first and later requested a starter, the waitress refused to enter it, stating it was “not possible” and that we should have ordered in the correct order. The way this was communicated felt rude and dismissive. Additionally, when asked if we wanted wine, I requested just a glass, but the waitress responded in an unprofessional manner, insisting on a bottle. A simple preference should be respected without unnecessary remarks. Beyond the poor service, the food was disappointing—overpriced, not well-cooked, and lacking in flavor. Paying €90 for an undercooked dish is simply unacceptable. The atmosphere was also quite noisy, making it hard to enjoy the meal. Overall, I left feeling unwelcome and undervalued. Sadly, I will not be returning, as neither the service nor the food met even basic expectations.

Not recommended at all. The service is not professional, and the rules are very disappointing. If you come with more than 4 people, you are forced to order 4 choices platters from the menu — including kids’ meals and even pizza. Definitely not a pleasant experience. After all the food was not delicious and an italian restaurant don’t have olive oil.

Normally I don't visit places where the score is less than 4, but this one we decided to “test” and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant deserves 5 stars without making too much effort. The place is beautiful, well decorated, nice atmosphere and clean bathrooms (which I consider important). The service was quick and kind and the food came super fast, even though it was full. I don't understand some comments about the prices charged by the restaurant once the menu at the entrance, you can easily check before entering and avoid surprises. Definitely a place to visit while in Durbuy. It is a pet and children friendly restaurant.

We wanted to have a small snack, so we went here to have some. My mom and I ordered the Tiramisu, with some fruit and chocolate, but it nothing special and was quite overpriced (€10 for a small portion). One the my raspberry where moldy, but I quickly received a hole new dish. My dad had some (italian) water 1/2, but was WAY overpriced! In the store you pay like 2 euro’s for a small bottle and there 6 euro… My sister had a dish with cheese balls and some salad (Croquettes parmesan, €13) and a alcoholic free Mojito (€12), which was pretty good and the Mojito was well filled. Overal experience, there was nothing Italian about this place, except for the food. The prices where mwaa, €51 for 4 people having snack and some drinks. The service was fine. It was a typical Italian restaurant with a non Italian owner, if people see Italian they want Italian. The food wasn’t bad overal, but no taste sensation.

Appalling experience. More than an hour waiting for four “sandwiches” and some croquettes. The bread from the sandwich was like two slices of the most industrial bread forgotten in the toaster the night before. Finding a bill of 89€ was the icing on the cake for a horrifying Halloween weekend (8.5€ for a bottle of water). Don’t waste your time and go elsewhere, there are plenty of options :)

Its was nice ambience in sunny day. Food was not great. I expected better pots for serving couscous.

My boyfriend did not get his dish at the same time as us. They had forgotten 😭 after much effort to try and notify the staff, they said they would bring his dish. It arrived only after everyone else already finished ..

Seeing the rating of this cafe we went to explore the food but ended up with 'semi-cooked' food. Even the sandwich for kids were not great. -Chicken was uncooked and the bread doesn't seem fresh. Found it very expensive when compared to the quality of food. I would not recommend this place.

L’Incontournable in Durbuy offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food and beautifully presented dishes. We tried the meat, pasta dishes, pumpkin soup which was great. Be sure to ask for daily recommendations to make the most of your visit. While the tall guy on staff was very friendly and welcoming, the service from the girl could have been better. The cozy ambiance and rich flavors make it a must-visit for food lovers in Durbuy. Reservations are recommended to ensure a spot!

A decent place for lunch. The pasta is quite good, lots of flavor and nice presentation. The tagliatelle special with asparagus is a very good recommendation. Although, I found the meat in a separate dish a little bit dry and chewy. It's a cosy atmosphere, although the service was a bit slow when we were there in the mid-afternoon.

A good destination to have lunch if you are visting Durbuy and want an affordable place to sit in. Platters and Burgers between 16 & 25 euros, other places nearby are much more expensive. Vegetarian pasta great, steak was great... Food arrived relatively quick to arrive consider it is a small place, the table we sat on was in a corner, but that is ok, because everything else was great.

Nice little restaurant serving good food in a picturesque setting! The pancakes were good value for money and tasted great. The croques and goat cheese salad were excellent as well. Overall, an excellent and affordable choice when visiting Durbuy!

Durbuy isn't the best fot 30-50 euros price range dinners, but this place fills that gap well. Generous portions and friendly service. Also a great view.

Contacted the hotel 3 weeks before my stay to tell them I would not be able to make it due to unforeseen circumstances despite having paid in full. The hotel refused the request not even offering a partial refund or explanation. Then after not showing up on the first night they cancelled the room, kept all the money so they could resell the room again. This is basically stealing and taking advantage of people. Awful customer service.

We came to Belgium GP F1 and stayed in this amazing place, located in the countryside (very good location), with an amazing restaurant (specially meat), bar and breakfast. Definitely a wonderful and memorable experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend at the beginning of October. The room was very clean and very comfortable and had everything we needed it. The owners are very nice and helpful. When we arrived, Kris offered us a free drink and explained us what we could do around the area. He also provided us his phone number so we could call him if there was any problem. We also had dinner at their restaurant one night and the food was delicious! We had a great time and we highly recommend it :)

Such a beautiful hotel with clean rooms, wonderful breakfast and the most friendly hosts. I came for a weekend getaway with my husband during covid and this place was truly perfect. Everything is super clean and we felt very safe being here. The hosts are just the sweetest people, once you arrive, you are warmly greeted with lots of information about the cities and attractions nearby and you just immediately feel like you are home. We would definitely return for the summer times. Highly recommend.

To start with we ordered some fried calamari which was the only dish that was okay! Rest all was par below standards both taste and hygiene wise. We ordered also some Tajine and Beef steak, the Tajine pot looked like it was not washed properly after the previous use. We could see a lot of food remains on the side of the pot. The beef was super chewy, and we couldnt eat it anymore after a while. The tajine was supposed be served with some fresh bread, but the one we received was stale and cold and in a basket that looked like it had mold under. They just have a few bread baskets and then just reuse them for each customer without any paper or anything under. Apart from that we ordered a mocktail and that had a fruit fly in it. The people indeed were friendly but were more attentive to tables with larger group. Like the bread with tajine came to our table when we asked for it and after our dinner was almost done.

We went on a Tuesday evening. It was not very busy but there were still a handful of people there. The ambiance was nice and the staff were very nice and helpful but the food was lacking... We had the shrimps appetizer. This was pretty good. It had a nice sauce and good taste. Then we wanted to order the couscous with chicken, at which point the manager very kindly informed us the chicken for that day was actually not halal. The same was true for a few other items on the menu. So if you eat halal, make sure to ask. Insteda he recommended we get the grilled seafood platter and a couscous with lambchops he made especially for us as that was one of the few halal cuts he had for the day. The seafood platter was just okay. The calamari was nice but thats about it. The rest was just okay. The couscous itself was okay. It came with a kind of vegetable stew that I believe you're supposed to eat with is. This had too much celery for my personal liking. Then came the lambchops... there were 3 in total. 1 was well done and 2 were raw. Like raw raw. I was going to say something when they took the plates away but unfortunately the server who spoke no English took that particular plate away. It was dissappinting as we paid around 70 euros for 2 people and neither of us reallt enjoyed the meal.

Our spot in the garden/back outside was fantastic, the food was delicious, warm, all served at the same time and generous portions. The staff was busy, and a lot was asked of them, but they stayed friendly the entire time. It's an absolute pleasure dining here, I definitely recommend coming here.

It's a small hotel, with no pool or workout facilities, & the wifi only works near the restaurant and intermittently. But the continental breakfast is one of the best I've had. And the rooms and bathrooms are quite good.

Ok where do i start? No Clear reception as the reception is also the Bar. The room was filthy with moldy shower, dust covert and stained carpet. The room is also hot as hell no cooling and ventilation. The breakfast is minimalistic at best with nothing fresh available. The only good about the hotel is that is within reasonable distance from Durbuy. We recommand if you want to eat something go to durbuy you will eat better for the same price

HAUTE CUISINE EXPERIENCE AMIDST THE NATURE OF THE ARDENNEN! What an amazing evening we had at Gaspard. This couple knows what quality and hospitality is. Every aspect of our evening was refined, we received additional information about our wines and dishes, and the atmosphere was amazing. The coziness of home with the luxury of a michelin star restaurant. Pro tip: even though we got lucky, we were told that it is important to book at least a month ahead. Coziness comes at the price of limited seating. Sooo worth the planning though!

Afternoon lunch under a blazing sun in a nice garden. We were welcomed friendly and could choose a place on the terrace. On the menu some two and three course choices and some traditional dishes. We went for a trout with almonds and a wild boar ragout. Delicious, just delicious. If you want to eat quietly just outside the center and the hustle and bustle, I can confidently recommend this place.

We stayed at the B&B and ate breakfast/dinner in their restaurant. For me it was a welcome oasis in the overly-touristic town of Durbuy. Feels like a rustic spot in the countryside. Rooms are nothing fancy, but quiet and comfortable. Food is again simple but well prepared. Staff were great as well!

Have waited over 30 minutes for 2 cocktails. Wouldn't have been that bad if there was at least something to do in the meanwhile but the place is just so boring. No music at all. The woman here was also pretty passive aggresive in the beginning so it was a bit awkward.

The food was awesome, the terrace was very beautiful with an a superb view, the staff was very polite. I only had problem with the owners attitude. It wasn't humble and welcoming. The price seemed very reasonable considering the size and quality of the food and service.

The food was good but didn't worth the disrespect by the owners. I asked 2 big pizzas to share with my family. The pizzas arrived without extras plates if I want extras plates for my kids they would charge me for the plates. This is unacceptable, first time in my whole life that was refused extras plates for me. My kids ended up eating direct on the table. They are very rude. Read others reviews!!! There are a lot of other saying about the owners, I should have read it before going.

I saw that this restaurant got a very high score so decided to try dinner during my stay in Durbuy. We didn’t expect much. However, the food was just mediocre and the service was terrible. I know we are Asian but we are also customers so I don’t think we deserve such unfriendly service from the owner and staff like that. At some point, I think the owner just yelled at me that everyone in the restaurant turned to see what happened - I just simply asked for seasonings that looked different on other tables. (If they were the same, the owner could tell me politely or let me have what I like - no need to embarrass customers) So rude ): I wouldn’t recommend any person especially Asian to come to this restaurant ever! The attitude of the owner obviously shows some discrimination you can strongly feel. Very unpleasant and uncomfortable experience… PS. To answer your response, assured I have done everything in good manner and also asking for it politely. You as an owner have no right in any way to treat customers like that - please look at all other comments criticizing your attitude (it’s not just me obviously) and think it through. I suggest you really reconsider yourself whether this is what the restaurant owner should behave.

Very friendly owner and service. We came with a rather large group. Good fast service, pizzas were wonderful and you could taste they were freshly made. 5/5 stars. Deserved!

We arrived with our extended family of 9 (6 adults and 3 children aging 3 to 5) to have some coffee. We checked with the waiter whether the free tables outside (seating 15 (!)) were available. He had to check with the owner and said the kitchen’s capacity was too limited to feed 9. We said we just wanted to have a drink. He checked again and said that they could not serve 9 people drinks in 1 go either. If you don’t have the capacity, maybe you should simply not set tables to seat 15 outside and another 15 inside (all of them available…) in the first place. The waiter was embarrassed but this was of course wholly due to the owner. Don’t come here and spend your money elsewhere.

We were a group of 6 adults and three small children. They immediately refused to seat us, even though we told them we weren't going to change the tables outside. They told us the kitchen was too small to serve a large group, which is understandable, but we told them we only wanted to drink something. They still refused to serve us. Very rude people. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE.

The ambiance of the place was pleasant and cozy. However, our experience was marred by poor service. The gentleman attending to us was notably rude, from his dismissive response when we inquired about a table to his unhygienic handling of materials: he attempted to clean our table from previous costumers using the towel meant for our wine bottle. What a service… 4 tables were already installed but no waiter, 30 minutes waiting time if not more, once arrived he was unfriendly and not at all helpful, unfortunately that was not all, we have ordered juice, mojito 2 burgers and 1 Bagle, in the mojito was tequila in it!!!! (In a mojito belongs no TEQUILA) In the meat of the burger were many gristle and the sweet potato were mushy. well actually a pity because the terrace is very sweet and cozy..

The attitude of the owner was over the top. They would only accept cash which sounds weird for such a touristic place in the first place. We went to withdraw and then we asked for the receipt to split the bill but the owner insisted that it is not possible. I am not sure even if this is legal. We argued with the owner for some time. I could not believe such an attitude is possible from a professional. I would have happily called the police but it would have spoiled it for the group -which is probably a typical endorsement for such unprofessional behavior. If you're liking for somewhere to seat, there are more nice places nearby.

They food is amazing very delicious and the amount was perfect I was Satisfied and if I will go again to this town I will go back to this bar or restaurant, And the loca beer that they have is very nice, And the view is nice as well, It was very good Experiment! And the dogs are allowed here some will see it’s good thing or bad it depends! RECOMMENDED!

The place looked full but they still had a table for me and my girlfriend. We ordered and waited for our food. And waited. And waited. Took over an hour for the waiter to come tell us we needed to wait a bit longer. They made up for it by giving us our drinks for free. The Camembert burger was delicious and the 4cheese tagliatelle was decent. Overall a great meal, but not so much for a great experience.

It looks nice, but.... the cold food was warm... the hot food was hot, but the quality was questionable. (Some dishes where ok-ish) One person who had some "cold" dishes lived on the toilet the entire night after the dinner. Service: they put a cart somewhere in the restaurant. They say you can put your used plate there if you want, if you don't, they will clear it.... so basically, you clear the table yourself.

We went here twice in two days because it was that good. Unbelievably delicious food. Every bite was full of flavor. Portions are a good size, the food is cooked well and thoughtfully made. It feels like this restaurant is the best place in Durbuy for local delicacies: it's always busy, and they offer a great menu of sweet desserts and warm main dishes (meat and seafood). The people who work there are super friendly, have the cutest in-restaurant dog, and makes sure you will enjoy the food. Also love the restaurant's atmosphere, the decor is cosy and peaceful.

We ordered two main dishes — the white wine mussels were perfectly seasoned, delicious without being too heavy. The grilled shrimp were nicely tender and had a unique, flavorful seasoning. We stumbled upon this place by chance, and it turned out to be a great find. Highly recommended!

I went there last night. Asked if they had a table for six - the unfriendly lady at the front desk said no. I was somewhat surprised as the restaurant was empty (maybe 10% occupied). We ate somewhere else and I returned over an hour later - the restaurant was still empty.

Had a beautiful plater of meats and cheese....unusual but was delicious. The waitress was friendly, we got the menu as soon as we walked in and food served in a timely manner. Would come back

Visiting Durbuy in the Belgian Ardennes… In summer it is really a crowed touristy place. Anyway Le Petit Café is wonderful located on the main street. Beautiful place to enjoy your Belgian beer and watching the people passing by. Nice selection of different beers and dishes. Friendly staff and prompt service.

Vegetarian deli, vegan friendly. Nice desserts, homemade ice-creams & Indian sweets, vegan cakes (delicious chocolate pie). The daily menu, usually Indian style, is filling and really tasty. The snacks and fries (real Belgian thick fries) are very good too and not expensive. Beautiful terrace, nice views on the park and greenery. Big free parking nearby, children friendly, also interesting for groups' catering. Friendly staff.

One of the best restaurants in Belgium 🇧🇪. The food is so good! Stayed over at the Radhadesh retreat centre and ate at Govindas for every meal. The staff are super friendly. Food is really tasty too. Nice an spacious. And lots of lighting. Seating outside too during the hot weather. Highly recommended this place. Lots of vegan and gf options too.

The waiters were not very friendly, after ordering the food it took very long before we got the ordered plates. The food was cold (some of the meat balls), sent back, heated up on the same plate, but people got wrong plates back, still not hot enough and very very dry. In discussing the matter no solution was offered and they threatened to call the police …. Really??! Exceptional bad experience for €130,- Not worth a visit!!!

Friendly service and good food, lot's of fun

A friendly family runs this Hotel, laid back stay with an excellent restaurant. We, family of 4 with 2 kids, stayed 6 nights. Breakfast buffet had a good choice and very fresh orange juice. We have eaten there 3 times for dinner. The menus were delicious, cooked with passion and very tasteful by the well known Alexandre Willems. Hanging around the pool is comfortable and relaxing and not noisy at all, here you can renew your energy. We also booked the massages, which we can recommend. Around the zen garden there are a couple of cabins you can book and stay, just outside the main building. The location of the hotel is great too, nice for walking and 15 to 20 minutes walk to the touristic town of Durbuy. Adventure Valley is also close by, if you take the short cut you can walk in 15 minutes and leave the car at Tropical. Recommended!

We booked a room via specifically with a large double bed. When we arrived, we were told that this was not available unless we pay more. And the reception blamed the hotel booking site … Weird and somewhat off putting

Nice hotel, beautiful location and swimmingpool with a tropical admosphere, a small Japanese garden and good food. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. They did everything to help us to find a doctor on Saturday when our 1 year old fell on his face. So thank you to the two lovely ladies who helped us.

I can’t comment on the quality of the rooms as I did not stay in the hotel. I entered just to have dinner in the restaurant. Upon entering, there was a strange vibe as from a Hitchcock movie. We ignored that and as we were really hungry we decided to ask the restaurant if we could have dinner there. To our unpleasant surprise, they would not serve us because we were not hotel guests. This is totally ridiculous and I will for sure not stay in this hotel in the future.

Regarding the rentalprice, good and basic.
