Although we live locally we’d never visited Koop + Kraft before so thought we’d give it a try. The food was lovely, and very well priced. Cocktails were also nice and a good variety. Staff friendly and a nice atmosphere, will definitely return

been here once for roast deal a few weeks ago and then a second time yesterday for steak night for my mum's late 50th. the booking app didn't work for me so I emailed them and they were very fast. absolutely stunning in the evening, lights on around, dark and cosy feeling, staff are so friendly, food is delicious and big portions too! they even surprised my mum with a birthday dessert that looked so good and she was really pleased. highly recommend, lovely and different from a busy chain restaurant!

Second time here… found by chance the first time! And the second visit did not disappoint. Staff so welcoming, and food is exceptional, had breakfast both times and probably one of the best breakfasts we have ever eaten- clearly the chef puts love and attention into their cooking…. See you again soon for a Sunday roast!

We hadn't come here in years, but we will definitely be back after tonight! The bao buns were lush, everything was a great portion size, would recommend the buffalo chicken burger, reasonably priced food, cocktails were tasty too. Lovely interior, nice and cozy and super efficient staff, thanks again! Came again for the live music jazz night- we didn't realize it would just be a DJ but food still consistently good :)

I ordered a takeout and the food was amazing. Really crispy chicken, delicious and full of flavour. From what I saw whilst I was waiting was that the atmosphere was welcoming and friendly as well as the staff being extremely polite . I will come back and eat in.

Went for a Sunday roast. Well pleased with the food. I had a lamb roast. Loads of vegetables and nice gravy too. Service was very good plus the room had a laid back atmosphere which was very conducive to having a great time with friends.

Had a meal with family here on Saturday 20th September. The food arrived in good time and the service was really good. They were accommodating to 2 people having Gluten intolerances. I had the Mixed Grill and it was one of, if not, the best Mixed Grill I've had. For just under £18 the quantity odmf food was really good. My only complaint is the pub isn't the most welcoming on the inside but that's just my opinion. Overall I would recommend having a meal here as the price is good and food was really good.

Not good enough. I waited 50 minutes for three simple meals on December 17th. After waiting for 30 minutes, I was informed that one of the meals was unavailable and had to choose an alternative. The restaurant had customers but was not nearly full, and I wouldn't say it was busy. When the food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The presentation was poor; the chips were overcooked on the outside and undercooked in the middle. The avocado and chicken wrap was messy, and the chicken and bacon were so chewy that we had to leave them. Overall, it was a very disappointing lunch and experience, certainly not worth the £35 we paid for it. What a shame.

(Delivered Food) Food Ordered; 2 Steak pie and mash, Mac and cheese, panko battered Prawns. The the pie dishes were stacked on top of each other with no barrier e.g lid, foil etc between the two. This meant the bottom pie was squished and the top had stuff all over the bottom. (I think this might have something that didn't help the temp) Veg was stone cold, mash was hot and cold pie was okay temp. It was very all over the place. I paid £6.49 for 5 Prawns that is 1.29 per prawn, on top of that they were dry and 2 were cold. I do understand that because it was delivered the Food won't be off the pass temp but it wasn't like that, it was all over the place with some items just cold. I recommend having Lids for the bigger containers!

Went in for a roast, left feeling like royalty. The food was spot on, crispy where it needed to be, juicy where it mattered. Whoever seasoned that roast deserves a raise and maybe a small parade. The staff were so kind I started wondering if they mistook me for someone famous. Friendly, fast, and genuinely happy to be there which is rare and slightly suspicious, but I loved it. And then the chef came out. Impeccably dressed, cleaner than a surgeon, and friendlier than your favorite uncle. Honestly, if he’d handed me a business card and offered life advice, I would’ve taken it. All in all, 10/10 would roast again.

Had a lovely lunch at this place. The set menu (2 course) was excellent value, I had fish & chips with mushy peas & apple & cinnamon pie with ice cream both delicious, my friend had the ham, egg & chips plus the biscoff cheesecake (highly recommended by the staff) we shared both between us & given extra plates & spoons to do so. What made our lunchtime so special was the staff, Mikey was the most friendly, helpful chap, chatty & very genuine, a breath of fresh air you don’t normally come across nowadays in a pub/restaurant. We’ll definitely come back here & would recommend to others

A lovely family friendly pub/restaurant, very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Disabled friendly . The prices suit everyone's budget and excellent sized portions which are all fresh and made in house. Once eaten here you will return as the standards are so much higher than the price suggests.. Quiz nights, steak nights , plenty of parking an all round delightful experience. The general manager was extremely friendly, helpful and a lovely guy to boot. All staff genuinely seem happy and are willing to go that extra mile for your dining experience. Really can't find any negatives in this establishment a must visit for all from single dining to family lunch/evening meal.. Extremely impressed and thoroughly looking forward to our next visit..

My wife and I ate here last Friday early evening and were reminded why, after almost 20 years eating here, we still come. Right from our arrival the owner and his staff were welcoming and professional. The meal was excellent and staff brilliant. It still does the best chicken tikka ever! everyone recommended this place so we booked a table for two at seven. we were a bit early and our table wasn't ready so we sat in the reception area. we weren't offered a drink but we got one from the bar anyway. we weren't seated until ten past which wasn't a problem. we were sat in a nice booth. the restaurant is nicely decorated and has a good feeling to it. the staff were polite and friendly. I ordered a lamb Biriani. it is what I always have in Indian style restaurants. it was tasteless and the lamb was so tough and dry. I was really disappointed. I mentioned it when the waiter asked if we enjoyed our meal but he didn't really care. we asked for water which never arrived and my partner's beer arrived after we finished our meal. we were holding hands across the table when a waiter came over and said the table was booked again and would we please go to the bar area. we had been at our table for only an hour and fifteen minutes and most of that time was waiting for for our food. we won't be back.

I rarely leave reviews but I had to this time as no exaggeration this is the best Indian restaurant I’ve been to. From the beautiful interior decor creating the perfect culinary experience to the authentic curry options to excite your taste buds! So many options to choose from and staff are super attentive. Nothing is too much ask. I will definitely be coming back again. Well done to the owners for the exceptional restaurant they’ve built and attentive services.

Went here for a meal tonight with friends Havant been for a while won't be back for a while either!!!! Has it changed hands???? We didn't book but no problem it was Monday not that busy was it ???? We were seated ordered drinks and food why then did we wait a. Hour and half for our food to get to to the table not a complicated order either 4 main meals no starters just mains sure the portions have shrunk in size not enough sauce taste was good but we've had better

Superb Sunday lunch. 6th or 7th time eating here. Have tried breakfast, lunches, dinners and roasts here! All have been top notch. Jamie and his team provide a professional, friendly, relaxed and attentive service always. I've just tried a Sunday lunch for the first time here. Really enjoyed it. Lamb was great, vegetables spot on and gravy didn't disappoint. Great spot for food, meet up drinks or themed Thursday nights with live music. I've been staying at Rooms @ 73 for 6 weeks, so had plenty of time to observe/induldge and enjoy the bar and restaurant. Highly recommend.

What a smashing place, number 73 is. All the staff are very knowledgeable, and friendly and made our visit perfect. Apologies regarding the stater picture. We were hungry so bits were missing. BBQ burnt ends were busting with flavour. The prawns were juicy and the sauce was good. Highly recommend the bread and olives. To mop all the sauces up. Knowledgeable. Matt, the manager helped advise my friend regarding the way to have her steak cooked. Impressed, not just wanting to take our order and go. Making sure we fully enjoyed the whole experience. I had already asked the open-plan kitchen what they would recommend. The chef said the steak or the short rib. WOW! A perfect bowl of goodness. The beef was soft, juicy and plentiful. Sitting on some red cabbage that was both sweet and acidic completing the beef & the gravy.

First time here and can't be more positive. It was very quiet but the staff were very attentive, the food was gorgeous, nice wine and great loos as well!!!

Had a fantastic roast dinner here with our family, top marks were agreed all round! The bar has a great atmosphere and friendly/helpful staff. Featuring a bar area, restaurant area and a decent courtyard garden, the space is tastefully renovated. Our food was all very tasty; chicken, lamb, pork belly and chicken roasts were ordered, all of the meats were well cooked and flavoursome. My lamb was very tender, had some nice crispy edges but still melted in the mouth. The cauliflower cheese was VERY cheesy, don't get that often anymore so that was a decent touch. The bar offers breakfast, lunch and dinner menus throughout the week also, I would enjoy trying the dinner menu one evening.

Lovely afternoon with friends am a regular but I have not tried the new lunch menu yet. I had the hot lamb ciabatta With red cabbage salad and crisps this was amazing And such a good portion. We were looked after by our lovely waitress Emily who lovely manner and attention to detail made that even better We were very looked after🩷🩷

We were visitors to the area and hadn't booked. We found the restaurant on a Google search so had no preexisting knowledge of the place. When we arrived it was fairly busy. It was a jolly vibe but not too noisy. We were a party of 4 and we could talk and be heard. We were greeted with smiles and looked after very well. We were shown a choice of places to sit which were both suitable. As mentioned in other reviews the interior design was gorgeous. Plenty of space around the tables for the staff and clientele to move around. The food was excellent. Good value for money and I would certainly recommend.

I have tried new menu choice - Sticky Korean fried chicken bowl served with either coconut rice or fries. Tried both options on separate occasions and they are delicious. New coctails nice too 👌

First visit to a Wethersooons in a while. Not happy that steaks have gone from the menu. "Small" fish & chips turned out to be microscopic. Dirty tables, rubbish on floor and filthy toilets. So also the last Wethersooons visit.

Did eat yesterday as there was more off of the menu than on. Very disappointing. However your staff did well ejecting a drunken male being aggressive and trying to make issue with others who were quietly socialising with friends. One always spoils the atmosphere.

Staff was really nice and friendly with the pub it's self looking nice and clean. Tables wasn't left with plates on for long. However when it came to the food it was a different story, food came out warm, no salad on the burgers which my partner an son found to not be that nice. The chicken strips was over cooked and hard/very chewy and even my chicken breast was chewy.

I normally give 5 stars to Wetherspoons Pubs, but this loses a star for the food. Not bad food but I have the Large Mixed Grill at each Wetherspoons I go to, so can compare directly. Here the Grilled Meat Mix/Quantity and Quality wasn't as good as others I've been to. Service was good and quick. This place seems to be more of a drinkers pub with several noisey groups when I was there.

We needed to eat at home and wanted a roast dinner. The team at the Ship and Bell were happy to accommodate this option. They provided two delicious and enormous roast dinners which were also well packaged. The level of customer service was excellent. Highly recommended and very much appreciated!

Absolutely Appalling Experience – Avoid at All Costs! I would strongly advise anyone considering a visit to The Ship and Bell in Horndean to think twice. After enjoying a perfectly ordinary meal and spending over £35 as a genuine customer, I was later slapped with a £100 parking fine—yes, £100—for using their so-called “free customer car park.” At no point were we informed by any staff that we needed to register our vehicle, nor is it made clear anywhere inside the pub. Despite approaching the counter multiple times, not one person mentioned it—not even a sign on the till. The entrance signage is tiny, misleading, and completely unreadable from a vehicle. It screams “Customer Parking Only” but hides the trap in small print, buried among legalese no normal driver could or would stop to read. To make matters worse, The Ship and Bell staff were contacted and refused to even respond—despite the fact that they have full authority to cancel parking charges for their own customers. Their silence says it all: zero accountability and even less regard for their patrons. This is not just poor service, it’s outright exploitation. I will never return, and I urge others to stay away unless you're happy to risk a £100 fine for the privilege of eating at a Fullers pub that doesn't care one bit about its customers once they’ve taken your money. Shameful practice. Shame on you, Ship and Bell.

Truly a delicious Sunday lunch home cooked well worth the money . Staff are helpful very efficient and all done with a smile . I don’t usually eat roast on Sunday when we go out as I think I could have done better at home but it was a really nice home cooked lunch . A1

We booked in last minute for Sunday dinner – 8 adults plus a baby – and fair play, they managed to fit us in. The staff who served us were pleasant, food came out fine, and the kids were being… well, kids. To be clear: they weren’t charging through the bar screaming like extras from Lord of the Flies. They were sat in the little unused foyer area by our table, moving between chairs, playing their games, not near any other customers. We’ve eaten out plenty of times and never had an issue anywhere else. Then, out of nowhere, a lady swooped in like the self-appointed “Child Whisperer” of Waterlooville and announced: “You need to control those kids or the staff are going to tell you off.” The irony being… we’d already seen her behind the bar, so unless she moonlights as the local neighbourhood watch, she was the staff. It killed the mood completely. Some of our group finished eating while the rest of us took the kids over to the park instead. And this was a Sunday afternoon, not late, not rowdy – just families having a meal. Even the other locals didn’t bat an eyelid. As for the food, it’s what I’d describe as “going round someone’s house for dinner.” Perfectly edible, you won’t get food poisoning, but also not something you’d rush back for. More of a “thanks, but next time we’ll grab a takeaway” kind of vibe. So: • Staff who served us – pleasant. • Food – homely. • Atmosphere – ruined by an unsolicited parenting masterclass. If you’re looking for a family-friendly Sunday pub, I’d say make other plans.

Come for food , and the night was ruined by the attitude of one of the workers called Kim , she was nothing but rude and I don’t understand how a manager can let a members of the start treat and speak to younger staff members the way she did , the fact that she can walk round bullying them ! Is disgusting and in front of guest is even worse , I hope a manager finally sees this happen and fixes it cause it’s not a nice environment to work in let alone eat in , an older member of staff picking on the younger ones. , aside from the bad they should be praising lily as she worked amazing and was so well manned , they need more staff like her , but need to maybe take a look into there other staff!!

Hi, I came in the other day with a couple friends and i am appalled by the service. As i came in I was greeted by a lovely girl named Lily, however throughout my experience at this establishment, I encountered a lady named Kim. She was extremely rude, i am not happy with the way she speaks to other staff members and customers. I saw Kim moaning at a young looking girl working there and I am truly dissatisfied by the way i heard her speaking to the young girl. Food and drinks were lovely however Kim is not.

The food is really good value for money and tasty too. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Will definitely be back ... Especially for the chicken and mushroom pie and the pulled pork mac and cheese

First experience there tonight , my partner was working and was treated poorly by the manager there . I wasn't happy with the way the manager had spoke to me . They sit and watch all staff struggle while they drink away . My partner has been warned that they can be very rude and tonight my partner has decided to leave this job that she had just started due to the rudeness and the lack of support even though she was a new staff who started last week. There is no staff there poor services and communication not a nice environment. My partner did say to me years ago this place used to be amazing but since these new managers are here it is awful pub ! I highly wouldn't recommend this pub !

We were sent a Love my locals voucher after a bad experience in a Marstons pub. We tried to use it here and were refused. Terrible service, being that it is the pub chains own vouchers and this pub is on the list of places it can be used. Not a great experience when you've turned up with two hungry kids.

I came in a couple of weeks ago and was lucky enough to be served by Neve — and honestly, she was incredible! From the moment we walked in, she was warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy. She had a constant smile on her face and made us feel genuinely valued. Her customer service was nothing short of exceptional — attentive, polite, and just so naturally friendly. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly takes pride in what they do, and Neve truly made our visit memorable. You don’t often get service like that in a pub — she’s an absolute star!

Took my sister there as she was staying overnight. We did have to wait long to be severed Fish and chips were freshly cooked. If you want to take away you ate gove a spoon with a number on and the corresponding number is called out. We were there on a Friday evening. Very popular for fish and chips "day". Hence the were very busy but there was enough staff on to cope. Well done to all

Always fresh and good portion sizes so real value for money. The oil used really adds a good taste.

I just don't get why businesses just can't be bothered after all the lost business during covid, you'd think they would go the extra mile. Incredibly slow service. Waited for nearly 2 hours, despite being reassured that "the order will be with me in 5 to 10 minutes" after 1 hour. The food was however delicious and the manager courteous and apologetic.

Disappointing curry Chicken tikka masala tasted more like ketchup than curry, chicken was dry and flavourless. Yoghurt dip seemed to be full of sugar and other curry’s not up to much either and not what was expected Would have had nicer dinner with a Tesco ready meal Did turn up on time on the dot which was nice but when it was still an hours wait for the next available delivery it made for a disappointing dinner than wasn’t finished.

Ordered a korma, poppadoms and chips last week waited over an hour for delivery but I did know this B4 I ordered, have to say I've had better the korma had hardly any chicken in the sauce was very very sickly sweet now I know it's a sweet curry but wayyyy to sweet. The poppadoms where inedible soft and soggy even the dog gave up trying to eat a piece. The chips where cold. We live and learn never again 😢

There food is always fresh and delicious. My husband adds extra requests with his order so it can be adjusted to his personal taste as he love naga chilli and they always accommodate. The owner is always friendly and welcoming in the restaurant. Takeaways are always delivered hot and on time - great service Been using this restaurant for about 25 years and would not change

I live nearby so always collect when i order. Reasonable prices and food tastes great. If ordering for delivery it can take quite some time but does state this on their website. Inside of restaurant looks nice and friendly staff. Parking round back free after 6pm.

Always a very friendly place to be, they always go above and beyond and when asking my 8 year old where he wants to eat its always here. The food is lovely too. Tony is always making sure customers are happy and gives my son an ice cream when we come as a family of 3 regularly. 😊

Ordered a takeaway, it took a while due to being busy which is a good sign of great food coming and they did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection. My new favourite Indian takeaway. Going to book a table next and eat in the restaurant watch this space for another review. We had onion bhajis, sag paneer, lamb Rogan Josh and pilau rice with keema naan. Five stars well deserved.

How have I not been here before today?! Paprika is the best restaurant if you love a great curry and the staff are really polite and courteous. Really enjoyed it and there's a lovely calm ambience too. Brilliant!

Paprika is the best Indian restaurant I've ever eaten at! The food here is absolutely amazing. I ordered the lamb shank and it melted in my mouth, it was mouth watering. It had such an amazing texture, beautifully seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had a prawn and mushroom dish starter which was the best starter I've ever had. Everything was cooked well and the presentation of both dishes as you can see is beautiful. The staff are very helpful and made me feel most welcome and well looked after. They have a wide selection of food choices as well as vegetarian options. They also have some alcoholic beverages if you would like that with your food. The food is also halal which is always a bonus. I highly recommend everyone try this restaurant. I will definitely be coming back. 10/10. Exquisite!

[/edit] This used to be a fabulous local Indian restaurant, but unfortunately I’ve not had a good meal here in months (possibly over a year now). Something happened (perhaps they lost a chef / kitchen team?) and it just hasn’t been the same since.

I very much enjoyed the food. The atmosphere and service was very helpful and warm welcoming. I enjoyed the chicken dansak very and is part of my top three favourite foods.

Went there for a drink with a friend, parking in the visitor parking, got a £60 fine because it wasn’t registered. They asked to prove I was in the pub, but at that time they only accepted cash… so how on earth can I prove I purchased a drink. Absolute joke of a pub. Scam!

Nice looking local in Waterlooville town centre. What I would call an old fashioned pub. Which in my book is a good thing. Friendly staff and they also do regular music evenings which are always well attended. Photo of the stage is included in my review. I came before 12 noon when I took this photo. If you like your rugby this is also a good spot to watch.

It is a shame that management does not care about customer experience and are very disinterested and unhelpful. Since when does one have to register their vehicle when spending money in the pub? Desperate? Received a parking ticket for 15 minutes in the car park, picking up my partner who was there with mates. When approached for help, the manager advised that there is nothing she can do to help, as even she get parking tickets. Seriously, who signed the contract and appointed the parking firm?? We certainly will not be going the Heroes ever again! They do not deserve our patronage!

It's sad what this place has become. It's always been busy and social, up to now. Cheap beer has gone up from £3 to £4 75, weird Pervy cameras in the toilets, and warnings that 'we will fine you'. Staff are wonderful, sadly the new management are killing the place.

No food served and hasn't been served for a long time. In new ownership as fullers sold it recently. Needs updating and definitely a lick of paint. Hopefully the new people will do this as it is a popular pub And could do well especially if the served food. Excellent that it is dog friendly.

Served with a smile and great prices. Very popular so being served takes a little longer at busy times. Can't have it all ways. Gets noisy on occasions but getting great crowds. Does not do food.

Very nice old fashioned pub, with good selection of beers and fast, efficient service

Was about to come in for a drink on the bank holiday . Went to go get some cash out at the cash point and as I parked I was greeted by the “owner “ who then proceed to shout in my face and abuse me as I got out my car as she claimed I was stopping customers from coming in as I had used there carpark . She was very aggressive and rude . Another male worker then proceeded to come outside and be extremely rude . I didn’t say anything back but I will never ever return to this pub again after being so humiliated .

Great pub with good drink and food selection. Ample parking, very large garden at the rear with many picnic tables. Also great beer prices too. In the daytime you can get a pint of Amstel for a fantastic price. Cheapest for miles. Worth a visit.

The landlord and lady are amazing people. Always putting events on for kids. The food is lovely and well priced. They sell tea and coffee too. So winner. Highly recommend if you have kids.

Manager was very good, great service from him. Prize is very modest but with a little increase tfrom 6pm. No disabled toilet but I and other have went in together to the men's, I hope they forgive me. As I am my partners carer too. Layout of pub is wheelchair accessible but not toilets as we were told before hand. Lovely back garden. Plus good seating area.

Ordered a takeaway with delivery. Arrived just after the estimated delivery time, but piping hot. Unfortunately upon opening and eating the meal we found the poppadoms were soft, the nann bread was burnt and the chicken balti was flavourless. Very disappointing, won't be going back anytime soon.

I'm so glad to have finally found a decent Indian! The Naga chilli was absolutely delicious, everything was cooked to perfection. They let me swap to a paneer for a vegetarian option. Best onion bhajis too!

Just tried Masalla Hut Special biryani & The food is tasty and spicy, just as we expected. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable. Nice pub with a friendly feel to it. Nice beer garden with a swing and climbing frame with a slide for the kids. They allow dogs in the pub and have plenty of water down in the garden for them to drink. Would have liked a better cider selection than strongbow and they only had 3 darts to play with. Would definitely come back

We held our son's 18th birthday evening here and we received a fabulous, friendly and professional service. We ordered a buffet for 50 which needed to include Gluten free food due to someone having celiac disease and we were not disappointed. The amount of food was plentiful and great care was taken to ensure food allergies were safely displayed. The staff behind the bar were friendly and professional. Our son, family and friends, had a great time and would like to take this opportunity to say Thank you for a very successful evening.

Super duper cafe, best around by far, great service, fantastic food, a real community hub. opens at breakfast time 7.30am when most other cafes serving avocado are shut. lol

Our first time visiting this little café, and we were not disappointed! Very friendly staff, huge portions of excellent food and at a reasonable price. On top of this, they have supported the local infants school in the past by donating a raffle prize. Whilst this doesn't affect their food or service, it speaks to their community spirit, which matters!! We had a Cowplain breakfast and a chicken roast dinner, and had no complaints about any of it!

So, I ordered the All Day Mega Breakfast. The price was £89.99. You can imagine my dismay when this arrived. How on earth can one person be expected to eat all that in one sitting!!! Service was great, all the waiting staff were on jet skis for a proper speedy service, Slipknot - Psychosocial bangin' out created a relaxed atmosphere to enjoy your food. Only 1* given due to such a massive portion size. Lower the price and lower the portion size for 5*s next time Tony Macaroni.

I went in for a coffee whilst waiting for something. The man who served me who I can only assume is the owner was incredibly polite and chatty! It was pleasant to sit and enjoy a coffee and have a chat with him! I didn't try the food but judging by the smell coming from the kitchen I would guess it's delicious! Definitely check this place out if your in town!

I ordered takeaway from Jade Plaice today, and it was honestly the best fish & chips and Chinese food I've ever had! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great, and the delivery driver was very punctual. Highly recommended!

Ordered today at 17.30 online, it stated 30 minutes delivery time, after an hour and 10 mins I called to be told it was saying the wrong time and it is an hour and a half delivery time. They hadn't even started my order at this point. An hour and 40 mins later it finally arrives, the delivery driver seemed like he was waiting for a tip which was never going to happen after speaking with the rude women on the phone seeing where my order was. I've used this place for a few years now and never really had a problem, the meal itself was disgusting, the chicken balls did not taste nice at all, so bad that they went into the bin, also had peas in my rice which I asked not to be, will never use jade plaice again

Probably the most disgusting cheese bap I've ever had. Chunks of cheese and no mayo as asked. I'm a cheese lover but this was another level. The older lady I was with, she had an eggmayo bap, and she said it was the most tasteless eggmayo she's had in her 86 years. Very disappointed.

Ordered a breakfast of egg, sausage, bacon, hash brown, tomato and mushroom... It came sopping in beans even though there were supposed to be no beans. Hash brown was mush. And even aside from that, the sausages were so herby they would be best used with gravy so are kind of gross with breakfast. The bacon was underdone along with the tomato and mushrooms. And everything was drenched in bean juice. I hate baked beans, it's why I order breakfasts without them. Ruined. Leaves a LOT to be desired, definitely lost 3 customers today as I will never have this delivered to my house again. Disappointment.

Rather disappointed as wanted a cheese scone to eat in but even though there were 3 cheese scones was advised they had been ordered by the ladies behind me in the queue. Not sure how that works as normally it is first come first served. Was advised I should order ahead in future!!!! Never had to do that in a cafe before. If food there when you get to the till I expect to be able to purchase. Very disappointed. I had something else which was very nice though.

I was in Waterlooville today and felt like having lunch in one of the cafes for a change. It was very busy inside (which is a good indication that the locals like the food and experience) but relaxed. It was a couple of minutes to wait but the man did acknowledge me and apologised for the wait. I decided to go for the Mexican chicken baguette and went to one of the tables outside. It was good sized portion with lettuce and plenty of filling and was very tasty. Definitely worth coming back here again.

My boyfriend and I came here for a Saturday night takeaway, never tried before but everything was delicious! We got chicken balls, duck chow mein, crispy shredded beef and the chicken with teriyaki sauce. The teriyaki sauce was more on the liquidy side but didn’t take away from the taste and chow mein didn’t have as much duck as we’d have liked but still was good. Also nothing was too oily! Ordered online and said pick up would take 20 mins, we got there a bit before 20 mins and it was already done waiting which was great! Will definitely come back here :)

We've recently started to get our Chinese take aways from lucky house and the last few meals have been amazing! We've tried quite a few different dishes now and everyone has been delicious, hot and full of flavor. Staff are friendly and delivery was quick too. Highly recommend. Thank you.

I’ve ordered from lucky house for at least 10 years and the food has always been Lovely, but this past year the food has gone down hill. I ordered chicken fried rice which tasted and smelt like an old ash tray, and the chicken chow mein tasted like salt! Phoned the shop and they did send a replacement which arrive in 15 mins but by the time it arrived we no longer wanted it, so we sent back the order with delivery guy, minus the chow mein, as my son still wanted his. - refund would have been a better option as we were such a loyal customer. I will not be ordered from here again very disappointed.

We ordered five different dishes from Lucky House. All bar the "must try" garlic chicken were seemingly made with the same gravy. They all lacked any distinguishing features of taste, smell, texture or appearance. Should satay chicken be gravy based? Should BBQ ribs have gravy on them? Neither of us have any idea what was in the sauce on the garlic chicken but I'm not sure I'd like to hazard a guess. The prawn crackers were alright. Overall drab, boring, tasteless food that left us feeling deeply disappointed and still hungry. Would not recommend.

Rude staff. My dad ordered a portion of chips. He told the man serving that he had been waiting 20 mins and inquired in a friendly manner roughly how long it will be. The guy serving accused him of lying about waiting 20 mins. He reiterated he was only asking in a friendly manner. So my dad asked for his money back which he did. The man then told him not to come back. He was shocked and speechless.

This is an Outstanding takeaway! This is the best Chinese food that I've ever eaten, Lush flavours and huge portion sizes. I live miles away and stumbled on them when I was seeing a friend. Now it's my only go to for Chinese food and I highly recommend them to all my friends.

Sorry not great food and far too long to wait ... I prefer widley cottage .. the food is cooked with an open kitchen normally only 10 minutes to wait and without doubt 100% better quality.. Also you can pay by card so it's worth the drive.

Adjusted review due to response from owner I was only asked if I wanted sauce on the burger there was no mention of salad you didn’t ask (I am also not a mind reader). The chips may have come out the ground last week but they do require frying these were barely fried and greasy they weren’t cooked all basically. The owners repose and you can see from other responses they clearly think that they are right all the time and have excuses to try and blame the customer. The food was well below standard. Chips are supposed to be crispy on the outside these were soggy and not cooked. Maybe the owners should take more pride in their food actually cook it and less time trying to blame the customers in their review replies. In what I would expect from the supposedly best chippy around the food was far far from that. To the owner I hope that you continue to do well and that your attitude with customers doesn’t catch up with you as I’m sure the more of these you respond in that manner will put a lot of people off. Unfortunately when we got home we realised the quality wasn’t very good Chips were barely cooked very under cooked a very greasy Burger was pretty poor had no salad (wasn’t asked) but usually comes with some and not Savaloy was nice as usual Battered sausage was also nice We have been here numerous times but think this will be our last unfortunately

Unfortunately, I cannot say this is "the best chippy in the area". Had the food delivered and whilst the service was very quick and arrived early, I cannot applaud the same gratitude to the food. The chips needed longer in the fryer, they were undercooked, and the Chease and Onion pasty (yes in the photo to the right that is apparently a pasty!) Was the worst I've ever had with hardly any filling inside, looked like it had been nuked in a microwave. With all the good reviews I am very disappointed, I will not be coming back! Many other better chippys - also the chip portion was too big for one, need a small portion!

We called this place as I fancied some ribs. We have never used this place before but went on recommendation. From the time we made the order over the phone to the time we received it, it was less than 30 mins.(Great service) The ribs were good and so were the chips. To be honest we did have to reheat in the mircrowave but that is not a complaint ! I have given 5 stars and would use this fish bar again for sure.

This is by far the best fish and chip shop in Hampshire. People travel from miles around to visit. The staff are very friendly, the service is quick and the fish is of very high quality. I couldn’t recommend it more highly, all the locals go here it seems.

Fantastic place, and loved the ambience & fish & chips

We are fairly new to the area and popped into what would be our local, whilst the pub itself is fairly well presented, and the atmosphere was pleasant enough, this was spoilt by the excessive foul language coming from people sat at the bar. This was then compounded by at least 2 selfish individuals who thought it was ok to vape inside the pub, subjecting everyone in there to their antisocial habit. As a result this is likely to be our first and only visit.

Great pub, love the team at the Fox. Been going for years now and there always spot on. Pub quiz on Wednesday nights is good fun, not that I win :-). Beer garden is a great sun trap and my son loves the little play area. Dog friendly too, so it’s a win / win. J

Popped in for a drink whilst walking out dog as they are dog friendly. Greeted by friendly staff and management. Very dog friendly and a nice atmosphere inside the pub. We will definitely return.

First time and amazing! we went to the shop and purchased there a Cadbury heaven waffle. It was very nice, maybe too much chocolate sauce for our taste but very generous! Lovely service!

Ordered food at 6:30 thinking me and my little boy would have a treat before he went to bed.. turned up at 8:15. Picture says it all, banana was rank, it’s been slung in the box. I ordered chocolate ice cream with our waffles and crepes to be told by the driver when it arrived that the fridge had broken and that we were given cookie ice cream. No contact by peaches to inform us about this. Charges a fortune for poor food. We won’t be ordering from here again, save your money people!

Slow, completely incompetent staff, with waiting times often between 20-30 minutes. They seem to be busy with everything except actually working. Some of the offerings seem good, but others are cheap, low-quality mixes. I absolutely do not recommend it!

So disappointed, tried this place twice now. First time i ordered and paid for double strawberries on my waffle and it came with the same amount as the other waffles ordered by family members. Absolutely awful and not the first time. Looks fantastic from the outside. Ordered a £15! Fifteen! 8 slice cookie dough with 3 different hazelnut sauces. And the below dry brick turned up. Cold, evidently been sat there for a while. Nothing at all like cookie dough. Toasties turned up cold ( maybe just eats fault?) but chicken and bacon toastie came with very large slices of raw onion which was bizarre and not in the description. Not at all happy with any of it.

I've been here a few times, and always had some fantastic food, with great service. And very reasonable prices. A lovely restaurant for any occasion. I whole heartedly recommend.

Ordered a takeaway and was told to collect in 30 minutes. 1 hour later it still wasn't ready as my order had been given to someone else, they brought it back and mine had to be re cooked. Several others waiting for a takeaway as well. Had to phone twice initially to get order placed, front desk seems to have several people all working illogically and trying to do everything rather than having assigned tasks. Was offered a discount for my next order due to the issues with this order but I told them I didn't want the discount as I won't be going again which is a shame as we have used Pasha for many years but this is the second time we have had this problem so will now give another place a try.

A nice friendly Restaurant, excellent service, great food, a good range of choice without being overloaded with options, It's local for me, which makes it easy to go to, there's plenty of parking at the rear of the place. I would recommend it to anyone.

Horrendous. Worst takeaway I’ve ever had. Chicken nuggets were dry, unseasoned and flavourless. Wrap was just as bad. Filling was minimal, meat was too chewy like it had been cooking way too long and the thing looked like it had been wrapped by a child. Almost fell apart when I started eating it. Only chose here as my normal place was shut. Won’t be using again.

I have been ordering from here for years and years now, and i got my usual the other day (xl doner and kofte) and the portion size was about half of what it used to be, definitely not worthy of being called an extra large! I complained about it on the night and was ignored. I then ordered the same again in case it was just a one time mistake but portions were small again.

I never received my order of £44.35, and im being refused a refund, being told it is my fault that someone took my order and said nothing about it not being theirs, I have reported it to trading standards and will be disputing it with my bank, this is unacceptable, the staff are so rude and refuse to deal with this issue, personally everyone should stay clear.

What can I say. Best kebab ever. Small doner with onions and garlic sauce. The onions were shredded and plentiful, as was the sauce. And it was hot. Also, bought 2 burgers and some chips. All lovely and all hot. And the best bit? All the cartons were recyclable. And I love their order site. Easy to use and able to specify what you want added to kebab/burger. Ordered online Wednesday 2nd April evening but ended up paying £13 when it was any pizza £8.99 collection. . The really nice guy in the store noticed I had over payed and gave me a bottle of drink and small tub of ice cream to compensate. Didn't get his name but he is a credit to the company. Great people skills and helpful. Thanks very much. The sourdough base is fab.

The gluten free pizza is really really good. They also make sure as much as they possibly can that there is no cross contamination. I have a friend who is coeliac and they happily eat there pizza.

Dude in front of me was upset that the website or app had not processed his order properly and then resorted to threaten the manager over a pizza he said he ordered that he hadn’t even been charged for. I was struggling to understand why he didn’t just reorder the pizza tbh. But, the manager dealt professionally and fairly with the customer and despite being called a variety of colourful names, remained nothing but respectful in return. I’ve never had a problem with my order, but even if I did, I can guarantee it wouldn’t be due to the incompetency of the staff. Every time I’ve gone for a pickup they’ve been the kind of people to ask about your day and make an effort to ensure that they leave a lasting impression, even if it is just a quick transaction. Pizza is always hot and they keep on top of the order progress in the app, what more do you need? Can’t recommend this place enough.

Well, the pizza itself was as expected from the hut of pizzas. I did enjoy it. It was a cheeseburger, stuffed crust, incase you were wondering. However, what struck me the most, at this particular establishment, was the fantastic customer service I recieved from an excellent human being called Neil. He is an asset to your company and absoloutely should be rewarded for his efforts. I hope pizza hut replies to this review, stating how they know they have such an amazing employee and they've just rewarded him with 10k cash.

First time ordering. The Big New Yorker was a great quality pizza. Sides were good and big portions compared to other chain pizza places. Pricing was also on the cheaper side compared to other local places. Delivered within 20 minutes of ordering.

Ordered through uber eats pretended they haven’t received my order as they didn’t want to amend an item. Even though I provided them with details of the driver who collected from the store in Waterloovile . TJ I spoke to on the phone was rude and told me she was to busy to help and that I need to contact uber support which I did and asked the restaurant to liaise with uber but they said they can’t do this and that they do not deliver to my address . Lo and behold I’ve miraculously recieved the wrong order at my address. Appalling experience

Great food, but the shop changes to incorporate the collect and delivery service, has reduced customer comfort, with resulting queues now standing outside . . . Not nice in January! It's a shame the profit led reviews didn't consider customer experience.

The only vegan items are the hash browns, pizza and brownies unfounfately. Not vegan myself but a massive chain like this needs to start having more items on the menu. The lime can be long at peak time but staff are patient and helpful. Good for food on the go. Bottled Drinks are a little expensive...go else to get those, don't buy with food.

Fine until they did a shop refit just as winter started prioritising space for making deliveroo orders and making the area for customers to queue half the size. We now end up queuing outside in the cold with a lot longer wait time as one member of staff serves and at least 3 work out back making more deliveroo things

Absolutely terrible!! Needs a whole new store training or management routine.. Staff are Rude.. Not very helpful and this branch in particular always miss an item for delivery or don’t have it! Never any Omelette and “hot” food is normally warm to cold! Sort it out Greggs!

I love a greggs, it's so nice they deliver now.. Just rated 3 stars cause I'll never forget the time the lady working there said 'we aren't a hot food place' when my pasty was cold. I had paid more to eat there but had to sod it off and go home to heat it up, the cheek! 🙊

This place is exceptional . The food is always delicious and piping hot. It is takeaway only, and we always collect . The food is always ready at the time they say it will be . This evening we ordered : Poppadoms and chutney's. Mixed Biryani Special , with madras strength sauce. Chicken Tikka Jalfrezi and pilau rice. Tarka Dhal. All faultless and very tasty. The staff are always really friendly and accommodating .

We all know how horrible hospital food is, so I ordered a takeaway tonight and had it delivered to me in hospital. The food was amazing, very hot and the onion bhajis are the best I’ve had in years from any Indian takeaway. The delivery man was extremely friendly and delivery was prompt, would highly recommend this takeaway and will definitely use again.

Average curry. I think if you roll out of the woodman at 11pm after 6 to 8 pints you’ll lap this up, but sober as a judge this was a very average curry. My Fiancée ordered from here as the regular Indian we use wasn’t open, we had a chicken patia which for me lacked in flavour, the base sauce they used was the same I’ve had from a couple of other Indians that also didn’t hit the spot. They were friendly when I collected but the food just missed the spot.

Have been a regular customer at Purbrook Spice for over a year. Last night ordered a garlic chilli chicken with poppadoms and live 30 seconds up the road from the restaurant. The meal took over an hour to arrive and when it did, it was stone cold and swimming in Grease as well as the boxes being smothered in thick grease. The poppadoms were also stale. Worst curry I've ever had and not worth the £13 I've paid. :(

I ordered my meal and some extra Bombay potato, I told the person on the telephone explicitly NO TOMATO AS IM ALLERGIC. The food arrived and low and behold i opened the bombay potato and stuck my thumb into a nice big juicy chunk of fresh tomato, i had to quickly was my hands and use my EpiPen. When I called about the mistake the gent on the telephone said he would make another and get it to me as soon as he could as he was busy and hung up. 40 minutes later he came to my door with the dish In his hands like nothing had happened. I said wed already eaten the rest of the order without the side dish we'd paid for and we dont want it and the time span between meal to correction was too long, to which I was told 'now I know your like this if you try to order again we wont accept it ty' and he left. Disgusting customer service and as a loyal customer of at least 1 meal week we shall be looking elsewhere from now on. Such a shame but I will not be treated with such rudeness and flippant attitude.

Good-honest food and great service. Not the best kebab I have ever had but their service is excellent and definitely worth a visit if you are in the area. Kebab was ok and chips the same but a good option if you are nearby. Will visit again.

One of the best places I've been to, highest quality food, comparable and superior to many higher budget places. Very friendly staff, recognising familiar faces and never lowering the quality of any food they serve. One of my favourite places to go to. Goes above and beyond my expectations for a place like that.

My donnor kebab was bland , meat dry. I had NO tomatoes or red cabbage. I wanted extra, hallumi but sold out. Must be on list with tomatoes! Think I stick with one in cowplain shops. More expensive but you get everything and fresh. Seems like hit and miss. Shouldn't be like that. Waste of money

BUT on this action I must admit, The food was grate, I had Cod and chips and it was still hot when I received them. & the kabab I will save un-till Sunday. Looking forward to eat that as well. Lovely hidden gem. We stopped here after strawberry picking for a belated father's day and had a great afternoon meal. The staff (Gabbie and Meg) were friendly and welcoming and provided great suggestions when stuck trying to choose from a very good mixed menu. The food came quick but was lovely. The real ale was spot on and kept well and the character of the building just added to the charm of the place we will definitely be back.

Booked here this evening and had a superb meal, the atmosphere was really nice and made to feel at home. The service was second to none and Gabrielle was attentive in all aspects of what was needed to make the visit a memorable one. Price of the meal was spot on costing just over £25 PP including a drink (I had two pints) for a 2 course meal. They had a guest ale on which I was assured is a regular thing. All in all a really nice place to have a meal with a good menu selection and a specials board as well.

Lovely food and service, the Polish lady who greeted us was so lovely and welcoming, food amazing and very attentive service. A tad pricey but you really do get what you pay for re service. Highly recommended.

On a recent visit to the UK, it was great to visit The Fox & Hounds where I used to go with my parents 50 years ago. The menu and drinks selection were wonderful with lots of vegetarian choices, which was perfect for me. Fabulous service and food.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here today with the family we did book a table as it does get busy with local people tbh lots of yummyness going on here friendly staff nothing to much trouble parking and toilets seating outside too to have a enjoy these summer evenings over a drink or two definitely worth a visit.

Grace and Dee who looked after us were absolutely brilliant – so friendly, welcoming, and attentive. They made us feel really comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Service with a smile makes all the difference, and they definitely went above and beyond. Thank you for making our visit such a lovely experience!

We come here about 3 or 4 times each year usually because we have a discount voucher. The food is invariably average. But I can honestly say that the waitress Sam, who seems to have been there since time immemorial,is possibly the most efficient of any serving staff we have come across. Hope you pay her well. And PS I am no relation!

Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning, wasn’t too busy. Staff seem friendly enough. Food cooked to order, the continental breakfast has a good selection, help yourself to tea, coffee and juices. Would’ve been nice to have hot chocolate though. The reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is the bacon was like old leather

No chance of burning your tongue here. Could see they were short staffed and the waitress Sam was stretched but doing her best and really lovely. Food was an absolute shocker you can only laugh. Cauliflower cheese was like an ice cream and the roast was lukewarm - chef obviously doesn’t have a clue, having proper a mare. I imagine the chef was on their own and in the trenches so i feel for them but the bare minimum is to send out hot food. Even if it was hot it would’ve been poor. A long wait for a cold meal.

The food was typical pub grub very acceptable .Sam our waitress is a pure bundle of energy and basically makes the whole experience top rate fun and efficient she's a credit to the restaurant. She has been there a long time long may she continue.

Not quite the banger I paid for! Visited based on their strong reputation in Southwick. The pub looked inviting and was laid out well, with plenty of space between tables. It was very quiet when we arrived—just four tables occupied. Gluten-free choices were limited. I went for the sausage and mash. Food was hot and the plate included mustard mash, cabbage, onions, carrots, and gravy. I asked for mustard, which turned out to be the only thing that gave the dish any taste. The sausages were described as “butchers sausages” but were pale, bland, and forgettable. In fact, the sausages were so bland I thought my taste buds had gone on strike! No one wants a bland, limp sausage—especially at £17.50, when you’re hoping for something hearty and full of flavour. Partner had the steak and Guinness pie, which was well seasoned and tasted as expected. £19.75. Also ordered a pot of tea—£3 for a pot that only held one cup. It was really strong and I poured it out straight away. For that price, they could at least offer a top-up of hot water or provide a larger pot. No gluten-free desserts were available. We also missed the specials board, which wasn’t pointed out to us. The pub was clean and staff were polite and attentive during service.

Followed the team from The Red Lion in Southwick. Highly recommended. Great food and excellent, friendly service. Lovely, traditional decor. The suet pudding, steak and Guinness pie and fish pie are all recommended. The desserts are also yummy 😋👌🏻

We came here last year and was disappointed but we heard it was under new management so we gave it a go It was lovely, friendly welcome, I believe it may of been the manager, he made a mistake with our order and he rectified it straight away and gave us the wrong meal free of charge! Which was a meat platter The food was delicious, and lots of options We had the fish platter, and a ploughman’s! The homemade sausage roll was stunning! Will be returning very soon Only negative was we had to move tables as no one came to clear the plates for at least an hour after we finished the food! But didn’t take away anything from the experience

Fantastic venue for all. Family friendly and a separate garden with space and toys for the kids. Great as an event space both inside and outside, with plenty of parking and places for live music to be played inside or outside throughout the summer ☀️

My first ever visit. I needed a venue near to Cowplain to meet someone. I chose the pub/restaurant based on recent reviews. On a quiet Monday lunchtime, it was very quiet, we were only one of three couples, all pensioners. The fare provided was a standard menu for a chain type pub. In fact a little better than most. But, expensive! The staff are pleasant and competent. But with six customers. It ought to be. I know much better options. So, we won’t be returning.

Comfy chairs. Decided to go out for some dinner and ended up here at the Chair Makers. The menu seemed to have a something for everyone and I must say the food did not disappoint. We waited for about 25 minutes but it was well worth it. We were sat in a nice quiet corner until it started to fill up, however the tables are well spaced so we could still converse without the need to shout. The pork belly was awesome with lovely crackling and super tender. The pasta was a bit rich for my daughter but she still finishes her plate. Lovely food just sat waiting for pudding. So far so good.

Chairmakers Arms – Sunday Roast Review We hadn’t been to the Chairmakers Arms in at least 20 years, but after a recent recommendation from someone who’d visited, I booked a table for 12—and we were genuinely impressed. Every single person loved their food. The Sunday roast was excellent: golden, crispy roast potatoes with fluffy centres, tender beef, and vegetables cooked to perfection. The swede was a standout, and the rich, flavourful gravy brought it all together beautifully. Everything was served hot, the carvery area was spotless, and the pub itself was clean and welcoming. It was busy, with a friendly buzz—noisy, yes, but in a way that felt lively rather than overwhelming. The atmosphere suited a family meal perfectly. I also tried the sticky toffee pudding. It was okay—not homemade, I don’t think—and came drizzled with a caramel sauce it didn’t really need. Not a bad finish, but not the highlight. One child in our group chose the breaded chicken burger and chips. The meat looked moist and generous, and the chips were golden and crispy—no complaints there either. After two decades away, it was a brilliant return—and we won’t be leaving it so long next time.

Came here for a birthday celebration meal, and was very impressed. Staff were professional and friendly, and there was a pleasant buzz of activity around the place. Homely and comfortable looking interiors. The carvery was a selection of simple dishes but very well executed. Veg was just right and the roast potatoes were clearly freshly made. Dig right down to the bottom of the dish for those extra crispy bits. Special mention to the chef for ensuring that some swede mash came to our table when there was none available at the carvery counter. Speaking as a customer little touches like that make a big difference. This place proves how a few simple ingredients put together with skill can become more than the sum of their parts. This one will certainly be going on my list for a return visit.

An absolutely wonderful carvery! Crispy, sizzling crackling on pork, and succulent, tender roast beef. The vegetables were freshly prepared brightly coloured and superb taste. The flavour was awesome. The dessert menu was very good but the quality was a little under par in terms of taste in my view; the crumble had a great texture but should have been much sweeter, both with the fruit and the the crumble. Service and presentation were excellent !

One of the best carvery roasts i’ve been to in the UK. Food is very good and tasty, staff friendly and helpful, and booking is super easy. Highly recommended, and would go again for sure.

Overall a good experience. The waiting staff worked hard and were very pleasant and professional. The portions were good so you feel you get value for money. We had pasta, breaded chicken and fish & chips all of which were nice. We had some puds too. We did discover that lime (as in lager and lime) wax £1 a shot (whether you had a pint of a half pint!!!). When did that become a thing? Is that the same in pubs countrywide? No idea. Dear god! Be warned. We had lunch on a sunny day so pub was bright and felt open and clean. Atmosphere was good. Will say again that the bar staff and waiting staff were very good. Well done ladies. Large car park with plenty of spaces. Worth a punt as there's plenty of variety in the menu.

The Chairmakers never disappoints. Today we had the carvery roast lunch and it was delicious, the best one I've had for a long time. Perfect potatoes, crispy outside and fluffy in the middle. Firstly an admission: we were the first to arrive, on a damp a dreary Sunday, so I wasn't expecting a massive vibe, hence the 4/5 for atmosphere. However the decor made up for a quiet start. The food was amazing, crispy pork, chilli and garlic was the highlight. The Tacos, both beef or spicy chicken were super too. But I feel whatever your choice from the wide menu you should be in for a treat..

Came here around 2-3 weeks ago. Great food so 5 stars to the chefs, nice atmosphere and clean however can only give 3 stars as the FOH service was terrible. It was a quiet evening and yet there was about 5 members off staff talking and mucking around ignoring the customers. After trying to get their attention for a while, we had to go and interrupt and ask for their service. Then when it came to paying and the card machine asked we would like to leave a tip, the service girl stood leaned over us watching how much we were putting. It was a bit off putting and rude. So thank you to the chefs for good food, we did leave a tip for your sakes. But the service left us with a bad experience there

We came here for a family birthday on a Thursday evening. Our party consisted of 5 adults and we all ordered 3 dishes each off the tapas menu. Every single dish was delightfully delicious! The service was quick and the staff very personable and friendly. They really knew their stuff and were very knowledgeable about the drinks and food. You wouldn't think it had been open for less than a month! Lovely atmosphere.

We popped in for lunch and ordered ciabatta and fries. The food was good and the service was friendly. The decor is cute. I'd definitely go here again when I'm next in the area.

Picked the Horse and Jockey for our monthly boys night out. Haven't been for some time and found via a Gluten Free app. Serving staff were polite without being friendly or chatty and seemed to have very little knowledge of gluten free options. Would open the door to the kitchen and shout at the chef with people in the restaurant able to hear. The beefburger and pie were both very nice but the chicken burger had no flavour and didn't taste like chicken. Large selection of deserts. Disappointingly only one gluten free option which was also Vegan. On checking twice with the chef the banana split was also GF. Waffle and bread and butter pudding were both nice. Brownie sundae looked great but the brownie didn't taste good. The banana split presentation was poor - looked like a slop of cream. At 7.45pm the music went off and we felt like we were being asked to leave. As soon as we left the door was locked behind us. Overall ok - but I think I chose two bad options and had I picked something else for main and desert may have been better.

Popped in for dinner, after golf last night. Absolute delight. Loved the romantic atmosphere. The food was amazing and the staff where very friend and polite. Can't wait to try the Sunday roast 😃

A beautiful old traditional country pub. Have eaten here a few times now and the food is fantastic. Friendly staff, lovely location and great food with very decent portion sizes. Highly recommend this pub! Definitely worth booking in advance though as it has always been packed when I've been.

Our first visit yesterday and can I just say WOW... Best sunday roast ever. In my humble opinion. Gorgeous county pub. Visited and sat outside in quite a large party! This pub is absolutely PERFECT on a sunny day! Ordered in advance and food came out quickly and staff where very efficient and friendly!!!!!!! Food was lovely! The pub has a huge field with a play park and swings….due to have an additional play area put in too! Very impressed and would 100% recommend. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely afternoon!

Have been going to the H&J for years, and always enjoyed taking the kids there, for the good value kids meal. Sadly recently the price has gone up and the portions / selection down, used to include a drink and now does not despite a rise. Kids ribs also fell off the menu which mine always raved about. The kids desserts were limited in that they offered three choices, but had ran out of two, so only ice cream on offer… that said, Great garden though and a strong summer pub.

Friday lunch time visit for us, table booked in advance good job because it got very busy. My wife ordered the steak and ale pie/creamy mash potato for me was the sirloin steak/chips and father-in-law cod n chips and our niece smaller one plate ham egg and chips. The pie had lovely pastry with large tender "chunks" of steak and creamy mash surrounded with cabbage and carrots topped off with gravy my wife's overall opinion was "delicious". For me I had the steak n chips £23 so I was expecting a tasty piece of beef cooked to my liking and I wasn't disappointed it was perfect say no more... The cod n chips got a thumbs up from my father-in-law and our little one enjoyed her ham/egg/chips. Good service from the very busy waitress staff, we will return.

We recently visited The Farmer Inn in Waterlooville and had such a fantastic experience that I felt it deserved a proper review. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome — not just us, but our dog as well. One of the best things about this pub is that it’s truly dog-friendly, which makes such a difference when you’re looking for somewhere to relax with the whole family, including four-legged members. Our dog was greeted warmly and settled right in, which instantly put us at ease. We decided to sit outside, and I have to say, the outdoor area is absolutely lovely. There’s plenty of space, the garden is well-kept, and the whole setting feels peaceful and inviting. On a sunny day, it really is the perfect place to enjoy a meal and a drink. As for the food, it was excellent. We ordered the battered fish and chips, which came out piping hot with a beautifully crisp, golden batter and fresh flaky fish inside — exactly what you hope for with a proper pub classic. We also had the steaks, which were cooked perfectly to order, juicy, and full of flavour. Everything was presented nicely and tasted fresh, with portions that were generous but not overwhelming. The staff were attentive and friendly throughout, always checking in without being intrusive, and the service felt genuine and welcoming. Combined with the great food, relaxed atmosphere, and dog-friendly approach, The Farmer Inn really ticks all the boxes. We’ll definitely be coming back soon — highly recommended for anyone looking for a great pub experience in Waterlooville!

We had a brilliant experience at The Farmers Inn last night for my wife's 40th birthday. We were a group of 12 and there was minimal wait for the food (25 minutes approximately), which was surprising as it was a Friday evening and they were busy. The food was superb and very good quality. A special mention to all the staff who were checking on us every 20 minutes or so with regular water jug top ups etc. As it was a special occasion we had a cake and the staff were more than happy to bring this out for dessert for everyone even though they made no money from us for puddings. Nothing was too much trouble! We now have a new favourite pub.

What a lovely pub! We sat in the smaller bar area, it was snug, had a great vibe. Our dog was welcomed. The service from all the staff was excellent. The pie, mash and veg was delicious. Sadly, we are visitors to the area. Otherwise we would be back. Thank you for a lovely evening

I'm not sure what's changed in the last year or so, but the quality of the food has really gone up a level. It was always a bit hit and miss, but my last 4 visits have been amazing! The hot honey chicken tenders were outstanding. Proper country pub, dog friendly, great garden and now good food. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely little country pub, really nice polite staff. Would recommend to come here for just a nice quiet drink or something to eat. Dogs are also welcome. Nice outdoor area which is lovely in the summer. Free parking around the back. Situated in a nice quiet destination.

What a great place. We called in on a Sunday afternoon and had the restaurant to ourselves. Of course we had pizza, they were very good with good quality fresh ingredients. Watch out, though - the 20" pizzas are bloody enormous! Good job they have boxes so you can take home what you don't scoff. Waitress was very pleasant and helpful too. Go there, you won't regret it.

I have been looking for a pizza place like this gor ages!! Easily the best around. Forget about who ever or where ever you get your pizza now and get it here! Proper Italian style pizzas. Authentic stretched, thin base and delicious original toppings. Italian meats, olives, chilli, piquante peppers, smoked pancetta....loads but none of the stuff you'll get on a big brand pizza, which I think is a massive plus. 12 or 20 inch sizes available (the 20" is a beast, easily enough food for 4!). They do dips as well, their garlic and herb comes in a huge pot for just £1 and is way tastier than the competitors versions! They only deliver to po7 and po8 which is a shame, but its that good I'm happy to collect it each time (po6- feel free to add this to your deliverable postcodes though 😬😬😬). Epic, authentic pizza, you won't find anything else like it anywhere in or around Portsmouth!

Just A class Pizza and food and service and caring company that go the extra mile especially delivery but their restaurant is something else entirely. Would go again. Waterlooville needs something going for it and this is the place and the good start. I would rather put my money here than some of the toxic mentality of our local pubs. This is what hospitality and catering is about and you feel welcome whoever you are. I really wish I landed a job here often because I miss coming here and I'm currently based in Godalming serving food to celebrities but remember these guys and don't get down my old town enough and just have to hand it to places like here.

Cannot be faulted. If you like this style of pizza then this is the place to go, handmade and at the top end of quality. Never a let down. Often get the large pizzas for parties, not just for novelty. Reasonable price

Ordered a simple pizza from just eat….. 2 hours later I’m still waiting…. Phoned the restaurant asking for an update and they “cannot help” and told me to phone just eat… no offer of assistance or ‘let me look into it’! I mean how hard is it to tell me if a pizza has been cooked and picked up…. Wonder how long I’ll need to wait…. I’ll keep posting updates…. They’ll take your money quick enough…. But 100% do not order a takeaway….

Had our second takeaway from Giogrio's tonight and just gets better. Best proper traditional Italian style pizzas around. So much better that the big name Pizza places. Highly recommend

The restaurant has gone down hill, when we arrived there was one other table in use, over £6.00 for 3/4s of a pint of lager, £5.60 for a bottle of cider and almost £3.00 for a can of coke, orange squash was the same price. We ordered our starters which came out bit by bit, my grandsons chicken nuggets were barely cooked, the the duck pancakes came out piece meal, first the duck, then the pancakes, the the sauces and finally the pancakes, so the duck was cold before we had the opportunity to eat, the Mongolian lamb was very crispy and nothing else with it. The smoked chicken was very crispy to say the least. Mains were ordered, which again came out bit by bit, we ordered 2 sweet and sour chicken and got one small plate, the other two main courses were more filler than chicken. This was our last visit to the Jade Garden, which is a shame as we have been using the restaurant ever since the owners took over. The service was poor but not the fault of the server as she spent most her time running take away orders from the machine to the kitchen and then picking up the orders for the pick ups. VERY SAD DAY AS THE RESTAURANT WAS EXCELLENT WHEN IT FIRST OPENED BUT NOW

The food was quite nice. We all got different dishes and everything was very flavourful. I was disappointed with the sushi as it used to be packed with more protein, but now it was mainly just rice. The service was terrible. The waitress Maria, was really depressing, not smiling, not friendly at all. She was very condescending with her tone. Usually as a paying customer, you'd expect good customer service in order to want to return to a restaurant. Therefore don't think I'll be returning back.

WOW! I wasn't even aware of this place and until someone recommended it to me. I booked a table here just after 'lock down' and our whole party (4) was really impressed. The people were warm, welcoming and friendly, the service was fantastic and the food was absolutely incredible. I will definitely be going back. I would highly recommend a visit.

We tried out a couple of Malaysian/Singaporean, as well as Japanese dishes at this restaurant. Really loved the food, service and ambiance that we went there twice in our day in Portsmouth. The price vs portion was also good. We really loved the beef rendang, char kueh tiaw and the mee goreng mamak. Also loved the teriyaki and tempura combo set. We also ordered the Singaporean Vermicelli and Nasi Goreng, which were not bad. We were informed by our server Derek that the chicken and beef are halal. Highly recommend the restaurant.

One of the highlights in a bland pedestrian street. The atmosphere is not special but the service and menu are a delight. If you go to Waterlooville for nothing else, stop in the pay and display car park and take the short alleyway to the Oasis of taste that is Poppins.

The staff was very rude and didnt give me pepsi he also starting shouting and swesring at us because we asked for food for no reason and it stinked of chicken curry and said we had to clean the food looked photo shopped and when he brought the food it was tasted bad, we then ordered again they said we are closing down because we asked for food. The staff we also touching us in our private parts and said that we should go home and cuddle then i had enough and walked out

We 'popped in' as the café we planned to use was closed. Food was quick, freshly prepared and hot. Menu is reminiscent of a 1970's Wimpy restaurant... Service was pleasant and rapid. Order at the table and pay at the till.

Poor service had to ask few times to have the table cleaned then when they decided to come and take out order they gave me lemonade instead of Pepsi then we were still waiting an hour for our meal so we paid for our drinks and left as meal was still not ready

Ordered a sausage baguette really stingy with the sausages only got 2 little ones for a big baguette ended up cutting out a good section in the middle and leaving it as it was just bread

In between a typical Pub and Sportsbar. Plenty of screens to watch. Atmosphere was good, a bit loud. Toilets were clean. Menu has got plenty options, also for vegetarians. Only 3 stars because we came in for a quick lunch with a party of 4 and when ordering at the bar we're told 3/4 of our selection wasn't available. We left without a purchase. Visited on the 29th of December.

Nice food and they have a very good Chef

I was welcomed by the locals and friendly bar staff. I enjoyed a Moretti and a John Smith bitter with a better quality packet of crisps for just over £11. Would return.

My husband and I have visited the Centurion (Waterlooville) on several occasions and have always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. The food is delicious and very good value for money. Definitely recommend.

The Centurion is a great local pub. The couple who run it are fabulous. It's been done up brilliant. Great locals. Def recommend if in the area.

I had never used this venue before I cannot fault them. They were just amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our evening went off with a bang. I thoroughly recommend this fantastic venue

I had my 60th Birthday party, it was a great atmosphere with lovely friendly staff that provided a smashing buffet with a variety of cold food. A Saturday evening with a great DJ that played a wide range of music, I would highly recommend for a great evening as I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Thank you to all the staff at the Centurion, who went that extra mile on the 1st July and made my evening a special one x

Food tasted Awesome! Price are to high specially for papodom just for 4 papodom it costed £7. Chicken tikka was bit cheeky not cooked well. Not recommended. Tarka dal was OK not as I like it hot and spicy. Naan was also under cooked. Palak paneer once again bit sugary. Although, they are good at bolling rice. Free parking available just putside the door. Serving staff are great, friendly and cheerful.

Nice food, full of flavour and good portion sizes, had to share a rice as overate on the poppodums. Service a bit lacklustre, gent in a baseball cap and what looked like his pyjamas serving, who forgot drinks for a good 25 minutes despite being quiet in the restuarant, other chap serving (more mature gentleman) was polite and dressed as if he was working, which gave a more positive experience. Overall it was OK, but service elements and overall feel could do with being enhanced. Get that right, and it's the perfect combo!

Usally I can’t complain as their food is top notch but today I ordered a vegetable korma which had two large lumps of chicken in it, being a vegetarian I was not too pleased about having part of a chicken in my mouth . They quickly delivered another one but sorry I’ve lost my trust in you as to my food being meat free .

Unfortunately the worst Indian takeaway we've had in a very long time. Friendly enough, quick service and nice and hot.... Goan Lamb was just devoid of flavour though and meat not particularly tender. The Korma sauce was reasonable but chicken was very tough. Keema and pilau rice and Naan was as expected. So many better Indian restaurants locally.

Tried ordering for delivery 10 pm Saturday night was waiting for order to be accepted which took an age then got a message saying they are closed waste of time

Been using after a recommendation and cant fault at all. The takeaways we get are always hot, taste great and they even take card payment. Really recommend this place, unlike other places I've used before (which have been many) this place is really bang on the money week after week. Please note I've just changed my review from 5 stars to 1 as the price has just shot up, nearly £20 for a curry for 2. Not acceptable, won't be ordering again.

My local come here very often. Just been down got my order of the £5 box and they just charged me a £1 too have my sauce put in a little pot instead of all over my food. It’s chips and rice. Common sense too not drown someone’s food in it. Wouldn’t complain but the last four times it’s been free? Woman couldn’t bring herself to give an answer stumbling like anything. Disgusting. Chips are literally undercooked and fortune cookies are empty. Lol.

Just ordered ribs and received the worst portion I've ever had, virtually all bone and a slight bit of over cooked meat and gristle. Avoid at all costs.

Absolutely disgusting food and service, bought these chicken balls and they were completely raw. I took them back and they said that they weren’t raw but that this is just bruising on the chicken!!!! Please go elsewhere unless you are keen on getting seriously bad food poisoning.

Just collected what was supposed to be crispy aromatic duck.. shredded to tiniest flakes with absolutely no flavour whatsoever just dried out & cold.Floppy cucumber sticks and dried out tasteless spring onion shreds. Absolute waste of money will not be going there again. Only that the weather was bad I would have packed it up & taken it back! Yuk

First and definitely not the last time! Called at 5:15pm and place an order. In 15 minutes order was ready to collect. 1 chicken tikka massala with pilaw rice, 1 vegetable balti with pilaw rice, 1 garlic naan bread for £24. The food was amazing and the person was very helpful and friendly. We came here because of the reviews and will definitely be coming again!

My partner and myself have just moved to Waterlooville and tried Milton tandoori as we like to have a curry every now and then it’s safe to say that this place did not disappoint. The food was very tasty and delivery was fairly quick and the food was still hot when it had a been delivered to us. We will be making Milton tandoori our new place to go when we want a takeaway curry.

Food was excellent, if I was being picky I would say the chicken tikka massala was completely different than the usual deep red with almonds one and not as nice, so knocking one star off for that. But will certainly be back for more

Great service, very welcoming and excellent food. They tailor our meals if needed, great portions too. We have been customers for many years.. even though we live 8 miles away now we still use this place as it's the best in the area.

Very nice and clean premises, decor and excellent toilets. We went in as a group of eight on Easter Monday at 11:00am for brunch. By 12 we were still waiting for our food while other tables that came after us already had theirs. After asking repeatedly for food it finally arrived between 12:15 and 12:20. The staff was amenable to custom orders. I asked for scrambled egg, avocado, crispy bacon and mushrooms. The mushrooms were excellent. However the scrambled eggs were not really scrambled, the bacon was not crispy and the avocado tasted fruity. When I enquired the waitress if there was any apple in the avocado, I never got an answer. We got a free round of hot drinks for the waiting time after some backwards and forwards. I understand that it can be busy on an Easter Monday, but we were made to feel like a burden instead of valued customers.

I can’t pretend this restaurant/pub brings something from the heart into this town. Something This town has needed for so damn long. Portsmouth in general once lacked a great range of finer fresher food restaurants for the most passionate types of cheffing and suddenly the place is vibrant with finer dining cheffy food. Beautiful menus and most importantly unquestionable prices. Barley above £20 for this main of lamb shank and a WONDERFUL jus and serving of tenderstem. In the heart of the Surrey hills I spend hours bar marking easily 1000 plus pieces of tender stem and steaming endless trays worth, making Aus jus/gravy and chopping delicious herbs to stuffing peppers and what these guys do almost shows me what I would turn a restaurant of my own into one day. Very warm friendly cozy place the right atmosphere. Wonderful staff. The most incredible decor that truly complements the character of the building itself it’s clear that not a penny was spared turning the exchange into the greatest meet up location for family, sons treating their mums dads on birthday outings etc or maybe the next bride and groom to be. Hats off to you all. I have gave some good friends at Kalm Kitchen Puttenham a good recommendation to try your menu and visit this place I grew up with me. You’re turning it into a quaint place that’s for sure.

We had an enjoyable full English, and the coffee was very good. Nice atmosphere with families and groups of friends enjoying themselves in this new venue. Yes, there was a wait but if you are getting freshly made food it will take a little longer. I would have been suspicious if it had arrived out too quickly. Every plate of food I saw being served looked delicious. The staff were friendly and very professional. We will be back to try lunch and the monthly Bingo evenings sounds fun. 🥂

We've visited twice now once for lunch and the other for a birthday dinner; the food is lovely, the prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly. I like the variety on the menu without it being overwhelming with too many options. The exchange has very modern vibes and looks fantastic inside. Vast selection of drinks, alcoholic or non, including cocktails. A great addition to our little town!! Well done to the staff/owners and we shall be returning soon

This is a very nice restaurant, food is great, especially the seafood linguine, service is friendly and good, the venue is well presented in an old bank, menu is varied and well priced and the entertainment whilst eating was of a very high quality. A very nice evening.

Came in for breakfast on Wednesday, first time here, was welcoming, clean and friendly, We had 2 big breakfasts, it was great size and perfectly plated, would definitely return, my only one minor point is that it would be nicer to have butter portions to butter your own toast as it was barely buttered at all! But it takes nothing away from the experience.

The food in itself was delicious. Both my partner and I had the pancakes. However, I would have maybe asked for a bit more of it, especially for the toppings. As for service I can't really say to much about it as we had to go to the bar - so no table service which I found odd for the type of place it is, so I give that 3 stars as staff seemed friendly enough and food/coffee came prompt, but table service is always going to pump those stars up if it isn't a pub and most likely a tip. Atmosphere wise, I think it's chalk and cheese, my partner loved it, I found it a bit cold, rustic design is key to my heart. But then this is a subjective matter and not a reason to not go! That said I love the large vaults down in the toilet entrances, the only reminder that I could see that the bar/restaurant was once a bank, I thought that was a cool feature! Would love to come again, maybe try lunch and dinner one day, or even just have a drink or two.

Very very disappointing!!! Ordered our families meal through just eat, it arrived earlier than predicted - great ! But the food was horrendous!! Poppadums burnt, only a teaspoon of lime pickle, curry was watery, another dish was just chillis very little chicken, the raita was pure water - I could carry on. I called and was offered a discount on next order... not good enough and I certainly wouldn't be ordering again. Then I received a call 20 mins later I get a call to say that the food didn't come from them !!! Avoid them like the plague!!!!

Food was 40 minutes late without so much as an apology. Both the bombay potato and keema rice had no flavour. I had to literally pour the grease out of the bhuna before it was edible. Only rating 2 stars as the butter chicken was acceptable (although far from decent). I will be avoiding in future and suggest that you do to.

Lovely meal in the upper room of the pub. Recommend the mint lamb and the chicken shashlik. Nice decor without being too swish, maybe new menus need to replace the dog earred ones. But a great find a a charming evening.

Wasn't expecting much when we found this place hidden above a pub. Was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly service and better Indian food than I've had in a long time. Will definitely come back.

2nd time we have tried this place. First time .. food was average but over 2 hours for delivery. . Over 1 hour late. That was over a year ago.. Tonight was the next time Delivery on time 1 hour ... but Order wrong.. Chicken was supposed to be tikka .. instead rock hard standard and cold.. Cold chips and bread.. Poor show . Will not go back

Food was ok but be very very careful to check prices! They say they have a new price list but only after they give you the bill. Tried to overcharge us by £10. So the prices on the menu they give you are wrong! Avoid unless you don't mind being ripped off😡

Atmosphere and waiting staff not the best but food itself was really really good. The Chef is probably the best thing about this venue but we had an enjoyable night with great tasting food so would be unfair to say otherwise.

Went in to subway around an hour ago today and it was the worst customer service experience ever. There were 2 staff at the till ignoring customers and arguing with each other loudly for a good 10-15 mins. There was one other poor staff member trying to run around and do everything bless her, bread, salad, heating and till as these other 2 just didn’t care. Apparently arguing was more important. Never mind the line of people that are waiting and can hear all of it. Absolutely disgusting

I had a very unpleasant experience at this Subway due to the staff’s unprofessional behavior. They were rude, dismissive, and seemed annoyed when taking my order. The old lady at the till looks desperate Instead of being welcoming, they acted as if serving customers was a burden. Good customer service makes a big difference, and unfortunately, this location falls short. I hope management addresses this issue because it seriously affects the overall experience.

Ordered through just eat. Placed my order in advance to be delivered in an hour and still arrived 45minutes late. Items were missing and toasted sandwiches were cold. Unsure how such a simple order was botched so badly. Absolutely do not recommend.

Good food, as usual from Subway. But very long wait and totally ignored by staff as they fulfilled online orders, once I was finally served the service still wasn’t great.

We formally sent a complaint on the atrocious service and attitude of the store manager. A week later and no feedback from the complaints email sent. Poor customer service. We would like to hear a response along with any action taken.

Popped in this afternoon to get a sub and see that a young lad serving sneezed into his plastic glove and carried on making the sandwich. No washing his hands or changing gloves. Just carried on 🤮 I left the store and yeah it's not worth coming back until this is rectified.
