Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Alton

One of the best meals I've had in a long time! Wifey had the contenders chicken tender platter with french fries. Both were fantastic. Came with three different sauces. I had the beef steak sandwich with peppers and onion petals. SOOOOOO GOOD! Our waitress was named Aaliyah and she was fantastic! Always smiling and always on point. Wish we lived closer we'd be here more often.

An Alton must! We were in town for a fishing tournament and looking for a good dinner before heading home. Searched the area and found this place after seeing Bluff City Outdoors stuff all day. What a cute spot! The interior was huge, but the patio was amazing! Easy access from the road, parking wasn’t terrible. Service was great, our serve was attentive and a manger stopped by each table to chat as well. Host stand staff was so cheerful and welcoming! Food was great from a huge menu- wide variety of options. Drink menus were fantastic as well!

The atmosphere is nice, I enjoyed the pictures and the work on the floor was interesting but having different music playing in each room not only ruins the experience but also gave me a headache. The menu is pretty much limited. I understand that money is tight for everyone, but if instead of fries you are going to offer "homemade chips" at least make sure they are edible. The sandwich I had was serviceable, but how do you really screw up a BLT? For the money, I would have been better off buying the ingredients and chips and making it at home. While my companion had the fish sandwich, she did state that it was rather bland. All in all, been there, tried it, but won't be back anytime soon.

Great spot in Alton. Probably more for adults in the evening, it was great to grab lunch with kids on the weekend! Plenty of kids menu items and fill bar for adults. Lots of gaming space.

Bluff city was the start of our jeep run! They were so kind and accommodating. I accidentally took one of the servers pens! So sorry about that! Service was awesome, food was delicious, and the patio was so cool! Thanks for everything!

Great food! Wonderful servers. Seriously, the best staff ever! Very attentive and worked extremely well with my food allergy. Waitress made sure I knew everything on the table that I could not have. Everything was very good but the staff was the best.

My family of 3 went to Bluff City yesterday for dinner. We were seated right away but we were never spoken to by a member of the wait staff. I made direct eye contact with two different waitresses and no one came to our table to check on us or take our drink orders. We saw two other tables get seated after us and they were both helped within minutes. After 20 minutes we left, the hostess said "oh, did you never get served?" I told her we hadn't. The manager came over, I explained how long we had been there, that I had made eye contact with two waitresses and that no one helped us. I also gave him my theory regarding why we weren't helped and response was a very flat "yeah, I'm sorry, I can seat you again if you want." "Nope, we're good." We won't give them another chance.

Very enjoyable dinner. They offered two specials, a Gourmet Chef menu and the regular menu of salads and soup miscellaneous sandwiches casual food. I sat in the bar and had the fish special shown here and a very nice cab that was paired with my pork loin dinner. They also have a nice dining area inside and a garden area. Why am I telling you this....I don't know because I'd love to keep this my little secret, but you might enjoy it too. ;)

Review #2, and it's just as great and even better than the 1st. This beautiful, amazing little restaurant is hands down the best place in Alton, IL, and the surrounding area. On Valentines Day, they offered a five course romantic reservation, only dinner experience. They offered 2 time slots 530 and 730 due to working and living an hr away. We chose the 730 and are glad we did. So the week and day prior, I was in contact with Terri and Melanie, asking questions out of excitement and wanting to elevate the experience even more for my lovely wife, and wow, did they help. I tried calling j g a few places to have flowers delivered, but all were took booked up, so I asked Melanie if she had any recommendations of anyone else. She did, but instead, she told me to order some andnshe would personally pick them up on her way to work. I was astonished. I wanted to turn down her offer, but I accepted. So that night, we got to get dressed up and head down to the restaurant Gem of Alton, IL "State Street. " When we got there, we were invited into the bar for beverages prior to seating. I had a whiskey on the rocks smoked, and the wife had their special valentines Day martini. Both drinks were great. At 7:25, they began seating. They escorted us to the table they had set up with the flowers Melanie, our server, and the hostess picked up for me sitting out. The wife asked, "Why are we the only table with a beautifully displayed vase of roses?" We sit down, and she sees the card in it with her name on it. Surprised and speechless asked, " How nm thank you." They quickly started the course menu of our selections. Amuse Bouvhe " beet brined develed eggs with pink filling topped with salmon roe. Starer Course -Pink Cauliflower Soup with Herb Crema & Chives. "delicious." 2nd Course -Fried Burata Salad on Mixed greens, Mandarin Orange, Chive, Herb Citrus Vinaigrette. Main Course -Braised Bone-in BeefShort Re, Butternut Squash Puree, Sauteed Greens Red Wine'Glage - my choice -Scarlett Spaghetti, Fried Prawns Beets Anchovy Cream Sauce, Herb- Pistou, Salmon Roe - wife choice Dessert Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake Tartiet Was all absolutely devine the chef completely outdone himself. We enjoyed the rest of our cocktails, spoke with the owners, and our hostess explained how beautiful and tasteful the food/atmosphere was. Thank you. We then took some photos and obviously had to get a couple of owner Terri & Beau, and waitress/hostess Melanie. They were all lovely. We will forever remember and live this place for not only their food but the exquisite service and hospitality. You 3 along with the chef had made this our best in US dining yet well done. - Review 1 This is an absolutely beautiful little restaurant. So cute and quaint. We started with cocktails. The wife had a delicious Old Fashion, and I had The New Yorker. Apatizers were divine. Panko crusted squid fries and colossal shrimp that were wrapped with a spaghetti noodle that added a wonderful crunch. We also had the homemade hummus topped with red pepper puree. Beautiful texture and flavor. Entrées served to us tonight. The dish my wife had was the pork tenderloin wrapped in bacon topped with a bacon jam accompanied by potato donuts and a chard side salad. The char added much depth and flavor. I had the Beet Salad that had beets, mandarin oranges, walnuts, chopped grilled chicken, and feta cheese with a lovely vinaigrette and balsamic glaze. Last but not least, a slice of fresh made keylime pie, with a cranberry raspberry drizzle and topped with a perfect amount of whipped cream. Our server Melody was an absolute gem. She was so ecentric, colorful, and well-spoken. Even the restrooms were cute and clean. I am also a bodybuilder and Supplements store owner so eating clean and healthy is part of my regular diet. Stopped in 2 weekends in a row. It's THAT good! I'm addicted to the omelet with the chili sauce. Wish they offered another side like a potato or fruit instead of a salad but def my new favorite spot. Our waitress Emma was amazing. Conner in the kitchen brought out my eggs...FAB! Met the owners who are lovely. It's rare you see owners who are hands on...serving food and greeting tables. This jewel is tucked away in a quaint, garden-like community. The food is very good and the key-lime pie is exceptional! Our hostess was kind and attentive. We plan to enjoy dinner here soon.

Cozy and inviting café offering a small yet appetizing menu of brunch, lunch and dinner items. The decor is charming, the staff attentive and friendly, and the food -- a delight. The meals are almost large enough to feed two, but they're so delicious you're not going to want to share! Top marks all around!

I actually bought a car from the owners of this place and decided to check them out while we were here. This place is absolutely amazing! Food was fantastic and the employees and owners are just the sweetest! I will be making a 3 hour trip in the future just to come back here.

We were traveling by boat up the Mississippi and stopped over in Alton. I made a reservation at this restaurant because of the proximity to marina. I saw NOTHING on line about a new location in a neighboring town. We would have loved to have found you but were unable to reach you once we arrived at your old location to find you not there…a local finally told us where you had moved. PLEASE update your web info!

Very casual laid back brew pub offering organic craft beers as well as sandwiches,pizza and pub eats. We stopped in for lunch and you seat your self and held yourself to a menu and then place your order at the bar. The food is brought out to you. I had the Dreaming for a Cure Cream Ale with orange and vanilla. It was ok but lacking in flavor in my opinion. My wife had a seltzer which she enjoyed . We split a sandwich called "Camille" on a gluten free bun. Smoked turkey,bacon,goat cheese and raspberry preserves along with a bag of chips. It was very tasty. Our main complaint was the music was way too loud and not the type of music that should be played for an older midweek lunch crowd . They need to know their daytime clientele. If in the area ,give them a try as it is in the historic Colonial Bread building.

Disclaimer: I didn't get any beer here, so I can't speak to that very important aspect. Overall, this dining experience was good. There are no servers here, but the bussers and the guy at the counter were friendly. I really enjoy how sprawling this location is and the industrial atmosphere. My food, though, could have been better. I ordered the fish and chips special, and it didn't impress me. Unfortunately, my filet had a hint of dirt to it. It wasn't enough for me to not eat it, but if I ever come back, I'll never order that dish again.

This was our first time visiting The Old Bakery Beer Company. We decided to stop in on a whim for lunch. We are glad we did. My wife had fish and chips with a frosted lemonade. I had The Murray sandwich with potato chips and water. We did not try any of their beer so I can’t review that. I am a VERY picky eater. The sandwich was 10 out of 10 as was my wife’s order. The price was reasonable. The place was spotless inside and out. I spoke with a nice lady and told her this was our first visit so she gave me a card good for a free order of pretzels and cheese which is one of our favorite appetizers.

The place is very nice! Great atmosphere! Easy to choose, very good and diverse beers! And for 10 dollars you can take a tour of the brewery! I went for Father’s Day and it was a super nice experience!

We stopped in after sightseeing for a quick bite. For a Saturday it wasn't to busy and we got our food about 20 min after we ordered. Everything tasted great, accept the house salad was so radishy for our tastes. We enjoyed the Beer Bacon Jam burger, PPJ, BLT, and the Brisket Sandwich.

Every time I come back home to visit Alton, I always come here. Love the variety of the menu and it’s always so delicious. Great drinks, food , and atmosphere. I just tried the Bang Bang shrimp salad and it was incredible! Huge amount of food. Perfect flavors and textures.

This place is awesome! One of my favorite secret gems to go to especially on Friday for the fish and chips. You can't beat the view looking out the window across to the Clark bridge and the riverfront and the atmosphere is so inviting with a space big enough for just about everybody. The staff is very friendly and service is very fast and amazing! When you go make sure you try their home brews and the special of the day ! They even have a few offerings for those with diet restrictions. I always grab a meal to have there and to take home lol.

My wife liked her grilled chicken breast dinner and I ordered the steak and it was the best I've ever had. We got there early right after they opened, no reservation but got seated immediately. You'll have to go through the main Street entry door because the parking lot door goes straight to the bar and you'll need a reservation to be seated. I'll recommend this place place as a four and a half to 5 five two friends that want to go to Alton and have a good dining experience

The food was pretty the staff was nice but the food was portions was small and when they packed our food to go for us they didn’t put everything in the box. The food was dry all of it. The cheese dip wasn’t even cheesy just a bunch of non melted cheese in a bowl. The salmon was slimy but yet dry at the same time and they wouldn’t take it off my ticket so we still had to pay for the food I didn’t like nor want. But the staff was nice about all of it just couldn’t do anything about it. But they didn’t come the table often enough, we waited like 40 minutes just to get our order taken. I also didn’t like they didn’t have a drink menu even tho they had a whole bar. My man really liked the burger tho just the bun was too small for the patty. The bathroom was really hard to find too it was in the basement/ downstairs with no signs pointing you in that direction.

Best pork chop in town. I look forward to every Tuesday for their 3 for $30 deal! Owner is awesome and his workers are super attentive, fast and personable. Zero complaints besides I can’t eat there everyday!

Great food from a very experienced chef. I had my administrative employee party there several months ago (about 40 people) and they took excellent care of us. The food was fabulous (I had a medium-rare filet cooked to absolute perfection). The wait staff and bartenders were very friendly and welcoming. The Chef/ Owner, Ryan is a tribute to what makes a local establishment succsessful. Strongly recommend.

Wow! This place is absolutely wonderful. Outstanding food options for carnivores and vegetarians! Beautiful decor. Exceptional service. I found it by hunting the internet, and the reviews were all exceptional. It was a delicious meal. I had the Aunt Jane chicken. Sooooo delicious. The breast is moist and cooked to perfection. I loved the fresh green beans and the smashed potatoes. The table gets a basket of tiny rolls with house made herbed butter that was sooo good. The waitress was engaging and very kind. She told us about half-price bottles of wine, so we each purchased our own wine. You can take the leftovers home to enjoy another day. Hubby had the portobello mushroom dish and said it was excellent. I opted to try the raspberry sorbet! It was very yummy. If we are ever in this area again, this will be the restaurant where we will stop again. It's really worth the trip!

Delicious food, excellent staff! The crab cakes are just great!! The steak was very tasty and this S’mores brownie was an absolute dream. We went on a Saturday and we were still VERY well looked after!

First time! Gorgeous evening to sit on the patio. Patio ambiance was upscale casual. Service: Server (Mackenzie) was perfect - personalized recommendations, quick turnaround on requests, always there when needed and invisible when not needed. Starters and drinks: My only criticism of the meal is that our caesar dressing was not chilled (as though it had sat out before being poured) but the flavor was perfectly peppery and the romaine was crisp. Our drinks were an old fashioned (garnished with cherry & orange and made strong) and an espresso martini (3-bean garnish but not particularly strong). Entrees: one filet mignon with asparagus (cooked to just the right an of crisp) and baked potato and one peppered salmon on rice. Both entrees were the highest quality, prepared to perfection; I suspect that anything on the menu would exceed expectations. Service (continued): Teammate - name unknown - kept our waters topped off and discarded dishes cleared from the table without interrupting. Five stars.

Food was generally good. The jaws drink was good. The foxy Cleopatra was not so good. The Bossa fgt BLT was very good. The toasted ravioli were dry. For a Friday night it was very uncrowded. I'd go back but have reservations because a guy walked in with a dog and, although it was leashed, it was jumping all over other seated guests. Restaurants are for eating, not walking your dog. Just IMHO

A kicked backed establishment where the waitresses are super nice. A drink list of martinis a page long plus beer and wines. Public parking, can be hard to find a parking spot. Oh the food, to die for. Pizza like you’ve never imagined along with old stand-by’s…. If you are looking for something different… I heartily suggest you try it out!

I was cutting it close and arrived at 8:37pm. Website says kitchen closes at 9- waitress said kitchen close at 8:30pm-okay lady whatever, I like to arrive at least an hour before the kitchen closed but today was hard. I’ll take 70% of the blame but 9pm is 9pm. I’ve been here before and the food is good, nice atmosphere-not extremely nice but very. I would say give them a try even though I’m a tad bit salty about today and just ordered 2 drinks and wrote a review to fuss. Food is a 3.5 to a 4 -pretty good actually-but I gave them a 3 because of today’s incident but I had two drinks and had a good time- I’ll be back.

My visit was with a group of friends aka co-workers for Happy Hour. It was Monday and to our surprise, they had a pizza special for $5.99. What a deal. Three of us went with the pizza and the other two enjoyed their salmon. Everyone was pleased with entree. I can tell you, seeing the Blackened Salmon, I know I will be going back to enjoy it myself. My pizza was a sausage with red onions. It was a personalized size, so it was all mine. I didn't have to share it with anyone. I love personalized size because, I have no self-control and would eat an entire pizza. Now that I know that they have this special on Mondays, it my be where I go to satisfy my craving for pizza. When coming to Bossanova, I've only enjoyed Martinis as my adult beverage. They have so many to choose from and they all have unique names. They're even broken down into two list; The Bond List for those that are shaken and The Austin List - Yea Baby. I'm a classic drinker, so I always go with, The Q which is a Dirty Martini. Every time they have made it masterfully. Wait staff and bartenders are always friendly and make sure you're having a good time. So when you are in downtown Alton, be sure to stop by and experience, Bossanova.

We happened upon this delightful place while traveling through Alton on our boat. The owner was there and super friendly; his daughter was our server. We ordered mussels and salmon, along with an appetizer of fried ravioli and Caesar salad. It was all delicious with generous portions. It is a martini bar with lots of “specialty” martinis- the ones we had were awesome!

The food was good especially the toasted ravioli. The atmosphere was ok, lots of people hanging out at and around the bar. Not a great place for cocktails unless you like vodka.

Pricey drinks, but well worth it. The food was also surprisingly good, though also pricey. Service was quick and I didn't find myself having to try for the bartenders attention.

First of all the food was great. The atmosphere was inviting and the live band was good. The service was OK... one was attentive one not so much. Other than the floor being busy which i completely understood, I'd definitely return.

Had seen this spot on FB, finally decided to check it out. The atmosphere was cool, you seat yourself, very spacious. Some of it is outside, which was nice. Service was ok, and I'm saying that because we were waiting a little bit before any one waited on us. They said it was a mix up on which waitress was supposed to be in our area, but Ok 👍🏽 Now, the food was ok, got garlic wings, that were a bit too greasy and not enough garlic, the monster BLT was ok, could use better bacon. Overall, not bad. OH, got pepper jack cheese balls that were good!

The experience here was less than stellar. As we walked in the dining room was only about half full, but every server we passed told us the food would be an hour to an hour and a 1/2 wait. We'd driven a long way and had a long day exploring the surrounding area, so we sat down to relax. We ordered an appetizer which was delivered within a 1/2 an hour. And we also ordered 3 burgers. They took about an additional hour. I realize it's outdoor seating, but the amount of flies in the area was ridiculous. I have fly bites on my legs. I actually went out to my car to spray off on my legs. That many flies buzzing around tells me the restaurant can't be very clean. The bar area smelled like their drains hadn't been cleaned in a year. We had to fight off the flies, to keep them off our food. When it came time to pay our bill, the server wasn't sure how to process "Our be our guest" certificate. She got somebody else to come over to the table, who proceeded to grab my phone and zoom in on the fine print, showing me that it had to be printed out. He did this with a snide look on his face like he was taking pleasure in telling me I had to print them out. I've used these certificate numerous times in other restaurants and never had to print them out. They have a QR code on them. I left the restaurant to see if I could find someplace where I could print them as I was an hour away from home. I had no luck getting them printed I came back to the restaurant and asked this person if there was any way I could email the certificates to him. He acted like it was some major burden for me to email them to him. The lack of customer service was appalling. Our server was attentive and tried to help. She was the only one who tried to help with anything. We will not go back.

I have been here so many times. I love the food. Always great food. Service can be good and bad. Depends on who waits on you. My biggest complaint this time was my drinks that cost $10 each. The same bartender made me 3 drinks. Everyone of them drinks were horrible and not the same. Remember same drink should taste the exact same as the last one that you just had like this bartender did not know how to be a bartender. Look at the pics of the drinks I posted. This was our first time at Mac's. Very nice place, but customer service can take all of your expectations away. There were 3 of us and we sat at the bar so that we would be waited on immediately. The waitress never smiled and looked as if we were bothering her. We dealt with it because we don't like to complain. We are three African American Women and believe in great customer service. We decided not to have a second drink and our tips were not as great as we normally tip because of the customer service the lady gave us.

I have never gave a place Zero in my life until now. Our Bartender/server, Johnny did his best. Stopped in for food after the Alton Boat race. First time ever in this town. After an hour we asked for our bill and left. In Johnny’s defense he did ask us to speak to a manager . We didn’t want to wait any longer. I paid our 38 dollars beer bill, and tipped the guy 10. It was not his fault and he treated us well. We paid 38 bucks waiting for food that never care.

Nice bar and grill. Food was really good, big portions and well cooked. Lots of TV following all sports across. We had Tater Tots and Fried Pickles, pulled pork burgers with couple Bud Lights. Later Amaretto sour and water. Lovely place to watch Blues game!

We went to Tony’s for the first time last night and were absolutely blown away by the amazing service and food. We will definitely be back again. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent cocktails. The lady bartender was a true professional and served up drinks that were perfectly mixed (we’re both former bartenders) and made our short wait time for a table enjoyable. Our original server was so sweet and knowledgeable of the menu. She had an emergency and had to leave early so the server who took over for her was just as awesome. Thank you for such an amazing experience for our date night!

This place is an amazing place to go for a celebration or a birthday or something awesome! Great food, great atmosphere, and really nice people. Our server, Caitlyn, was very sweet the whole evening; when we come back we will definitely be asking for her again. All the food came out perfectly cooked, and the lobster bisque was absolutely amazing. The drinks were all very good, and at the end they give each member of the party a complementary limoncello shot as a “palate cleanser”… don’t ask me twice! The whiskey menu is hilariously long… there is for sure something for everyone. Overall, great place with great food. It’s very pricey, but you definitely get what you pay for, since everything is really good. I recommend!

Food is the best in the area, hands down. Steaks were cooked perfectly to order, appetizers, bread, entrees, all just very good quality. We maybe got lucky with an amazing server, but he was on point. The atmosphere, lots of black, dark and a tight waiting room with no air. Parking very easy. No official kids menu but they have a few things available kids sizes like cheese pizza and pastas. Price is mid high end steak house, about $30-50/plate but felt worth it.

Coulda been five stars yall! Yep, cloth napkins...we're traveling and wanting a nice, sit down, meal and chose Tony's! My wife made a reservation for party of four deafs. Well, that placed us near the kitchen, where noise level was quite high. (I was the only non-deaf person in the party.) Ty was our server, she was excellent..and could finger-spell. The table they sat us was also dark...not a great place for deafs, visuality is an asset. I had my mind made up to get the Mahi Mahi with Capers. It was delicious! Took a baked potato with plenty of butter. Didn't disappoint. Actually we ate everything they brought...left a little on the salad. I didn't get salad but bro & sis in law did. Alot of lettuce, with a bland honey mustard dressing I was told. Sis found one small tomato in hers, couple of onion ring slices... Bro in law got the flies, medium rate. Sis in law got scallops with risotto, wife got coconut shrimp...everything was eaten! Another not good thang, not a crumb of bread to be had! Never have I eaten at an upscale Italian restaurant, or any upscale restaurant that bread was offered or even provided. I'm not sure why, didn't ask. Didn't see any on the menu, didn't see any being served. But, what we had eat was good, other than the salad and dressing. We dropped $80, they dropped over $100 ...thats a lot of money for us. Check my reviews! We splurge occasionally, but... Oh yeah, almost forgot, I had lobster bisque. My first time having lobster bisque, though I make shrimp bisque quite often...I didn't care for it. Had apparently been through an emulsion blender for getting to me? Won't be having that again without doing some research on how to make it...quite thick like pudding or mash potatoes...

This place has AMAZING food choices!! Everything from the flavor to the presentation was stellar!! Service was great, we had Abby as our waitress, and she was wonderful! Sweet girl who was very attentive but not over the top! She knew when we needed something before we did, helpful and offered great suggestions!! The Atmosphere here took you back in time, while still having all the updated needs! The walls are covered in Family photos that date back for generations, and you can tell their roots run deep!! We are definitely going back....hopefully making it a monthly ritual 🥰

I had the surf and turf with the famous pepperloin fillet and it did not disappoint. I also had the Oysters Rockefeller since we were already setting the motion in the ocean. I paired it with some well served bourbon old fashions. I definitely will be back. They have a lot more options did I have try.

Chad, the waiter, displayed an overconfident attitude and a haughty demeanor. His sharp responses and impolite behavior were off-putting. The cuisine was unremarkable, lacking the quality we anticipate.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The food and drinks were really good and well prepared. The service was also impeccable, big shout to Lisa, our bartender! She was great and did an excellent job on the drinks. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area to try the entrées. We had the goat cheese appetizer on our visit. It was delicious!

I cannot say enough about how wonderful this establishment is. The food is out of this world. The chef is very passionate about his trade, bringing delicious menu items to the table that are original and well executed. The wait staff and bartenders are friendly, welcoming, and knowlegable and will quickly craft you an unforgettable cocktail or martini. The vibe is upscale casual without being pretentious or "cliquey". They also feature awesome live music throughout the week and weekend.

I really liked this restaurant! The manager of this restaurant was very, very friendly! He told us stories about how he became a chef and owner of this restaurant! He helped me and my friends out on what was the best food on the menu 😋 And it was his smashed burgers 🍔 they are off the chain!!! Very, very delicious 😋 😍 And the waitress was very polite, with good, great customer service skills! I recommend eating at this restaurant 😋 the food was great! I give this restaurant 3 thumbs up! And I will be dining here again!

Very cool little gem tucked away on 3rd St. in Alton IL. Excellent atmosphere with great martinis and authentic gumbo!

The food is amazing. Weve tried nearly everything on the menu and it has yet to disappoint. The weekly specials that are off menu have also been really good. The small patio typically houses a small band. The inside is nice and quiet. The wait staff is really knowledgeable and very kind. The food is made to order. The steak has been consistently cooked to temp. Highly recommend. The new chef is great

Went here with my husband a few weeks ago and really loved the food, drinks and atmosphere. We tried going on Saturday 6/14 and could not get a server to take our order. We waited for 30 minutes and enjoyed the band while waiting. But, after 2 different servers came out to the patio 4 different times and completely ignored us we just left. This place has the potential to be great but the lack of service is disappointing. Please get better servers or give them better training, we would have loved to spend money at your establishment but literally were not able to.

Was here for the Rock the Hops Festival on 8-9-25 and really enjoyed myself! I had the gyro and it was delightful. Ate inside and attended the concert outside. Will come back! Recommended!

We ordered the garlic parmesan wings to start out. The sauce was good, but the wings weren't very crisp, and they could have been hotter. We got the Supreme Pizza and added green peppers. A great looking pizza with a really crisp outer crust, I think the multitude of toppings may have caused the middle of the crust to be not as crisp. I enjoyed the pizza as always. The onions are chopped into really small pieces, so if you're like my wife, I would omit them as they're really hard to pick off.

We came here to grab a quick bite. We ordered a buffalo chicken pizza and a meatball with the marinara sauce. The sauce was excellent and the meat was flavored well and really juicy. I loved the thin crust and the flavors went together great. However, the customer service was not the best at the end of our meal. We were given our receipt and it showed $25 then when we went to sign the receipt it showed $34. I asked to make sure it was the right receipt and the girl looked it up and said yes. I called on my way home and the manager told me to come back to get a refund. The same girl checked me out again and instead of apologizing for the mix up or providing excellent customer service by comping something for the wasted time or mistake on their end, they just gave me the correct receipt. I definitely won’t be going back if that’s the service they provide.

Loved every part of our lunch! It was our first lunch with our newborn and I was so nervous. All the servers were so kind and said don't worry momma. Food was fast a delicious! Will for sure go back!

The food was very good. Their prices are very reasonable and the portion sizes are large. They were very busy when we visited, but their servers were attentive and we got our food in a reasonable time. We will definitely be coming back.

The food was fantastic! We had the lunch special which was a 2 topping pizza, salad, and drink. The best St. Louis style I have ever had and the house salad dressing is very good. Is a sweet Italian. The owner is also a very nice guy who seems to be following his passion for good food and environment for his guests. The service otherwise was also good. I definitely recommend.

I tried the meatballs. They're made in house, and the waitress highly recommended them. Not only are the meatballs excellent, but the sauce was amazing. It's also made in house. I only half-jokingly asked if they'd sell it by the quart.

I liked the food. Thought the pizza was delicious. I loved the cheese. Ravioli and the salad was good as well. My wife on the other hand did not like the place. Her stomach hurt very bad after eating here. I would eat it again but don't think I could come back with the wife.

Took a chance on this place not knowing anything about it. Great Rivers was clean, modern and the staff was very friendly. I was very surprised with their menu and their on tap beer selection. The food was outstanding and the beers were cold and refreshing! I had the catfish tacos which were lightly breaded and the sour onions made it stand out. Try their loaded red potatoes. They were delicious!

Food was amazing..it arrived in a timely fashion and was hot ...tables very clean and beer was cold.the waitress was very attentive to her job we never had to ask for anything..the slot machines were a hit also ..great views of multiple t.v.s to watch the game and eat

The food was ok and the service wasn't the greatest. Be careful that the chicken alfrado isn't like you might expect. The chicken alfredo I had was light on the alfredo and heavy on the mushrooms. The turkey sandwiches are pretty good and I'd recommend that. There are a lot of other restaurants in the Alton area...might want to try one of those.

Very unique taste. The atmosphere was nice and not crowded. Good food and service. I would recommend going here.

My husband and I enjoyed a delicious dinner with some friends of ours last night. My fish & chips were delicious and cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed his burger, especially the caramelized onions as well as the loaded red potatoes. The couple we dined with ordered wings and Cajun chicken pasta with a salad. They enjoyed everything as well. The serving sizes were plentiful and in line with the prices. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was beyond excellent. The only down side, if I have to come up with one, would be that, for a tap room, the craft beer selection was much smaller than I expected. That's really not a big deal, as I can always find something tasty. We were shocked that, for a Friday night, there weren't very many people there. This is a fantastic food find and I hope more people start going there. We will certainly be back for dinner.

I didn't even know this place existed until my friend started working here. It's so good! The portobello mushroom sandwich was one of the best I've ever had and the fries were very tasty. Ginger cheesecake with peach compote was amazing for dessert. They also have a full bar with craft beers on tap. The prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to come back!

We came on a Saturday night and the bar was full but all the tables were empty. I had been here 10 years earlier and the pizza was great! We ordered the bacon cheeseburger bombs, the steak and shrimp Alfredo, the spinach and bacon tortellini and my son had enchiladas. The steak was so tender, the bacon amped up the tortellini dish and my son was raving about the Mexican! The women’s bathroom made us laugh! There was a barstool right next to the commode, the toilet was elevated so someone short would be on their tiptoes and the mirror was hanging. It was a great experience and the food and service were top notch!!!

Me and my wife were wanting to try something new in Alton and a bartender from Rajun Cajun suggested Don & Penny's. Not sure about all the other food but we tried the Dill pickle bacon wrapped bombs, the Cajun chicken Alfredo and the steak and mushrooms Alfredo. All was delicious. The wife would not leave my Cajun pasta alone. If you get a chance, definitely try Don & Penny's.

They have some of the best food in Alton. Little bit of everything. The pasta is to die for and so are the bombs. I like them all! I would eat there every day if I could.

It's a lot bigger on the inside then I had expected. My friend and I went there on my weekend we've been trying to eat there but the timings never worked out till last Thursday. We had a wonderful waitress, my friend ordered a small pizza which was the perfect size for her. I ordered some buffalo chicken bombs which were tasty I'ma totally order the bacon cheese burger bombs next time, for my main app I got the Cajun chicken and sausage Alfredo it came of course the chicken and sausage as well as sauteed onions plus bell peppers my all time fav. Every piece of food was delicious definitely better then Macs tbh. I wonder what, I'ma get next time I stop by Alton.

Went a little before nine and they said they stopped serving food early because it’s slow! And they don’t answer the phone. 😑 wasted of a trip 😔

We came here from St. Louis, MO. Originally we were going to go to a different restaurant but it was so packed. I'm so glad we ended up at this spot! The customer service is incredible. The food was amazing and the buffalo chicken bombs are a must-have. You won't regret coming here. We'll be back!

Wow, what an eclectic mix of Cajun, Italian, Tex-Mex, pizza and appetizers you won't find anywhere else. The Bartender was more than generous with his time, the service was great and the owner came out of the kitchen to see if we enjoyed our meal. We're definitely going back again.

This place is amazing! I got steak kabobs Big Elwood and the grilled chicken wings the Chick on at Stick, we'll I've tried everything already but didn't take pictures of everything else and I've already came back 4 times! The music and atmosphere is perfect. I highly recommend Fast Eddie's.

Awesome spot to come hang with friends - tons of space, indoors and outdoors. Finding a bar tender was pretty easy considering how many people were there, they can really handle crowds well. To get food, there was one line that was insanely long. The food was good, we got kebabs and fries along with our drinks. The drinks were basic but moderately priced. We sat both inside and outside, they had a band outside playing and the vibe was lively! A fun spot to come drink and hang out :)

You can't go wrong when you come here!! It's our 8yr wedding anniversary and we made it just in time for live music this time...the food is ALWAYS on point, inexpensive and the customer service is top tier-thanks guys!!

Legendary! This is a classic venue that is a must-see for anyone who loves a great burger and electric atmosphere. As we walked up to the door we could hear the live music from inside. They are cash only so we made sure to bring enough ahead of time. We got in line to order and moved up fairly quickly. We each ordered fries and a regular half pound burger. It took about 15 minutes to get ours so we just hung out at the bar. Our bartender was a nice young lady who was very attentive and polite. Once we got our food we ventured out to the back room to listen to the music and enjoy the atmosphere. Its like a giant indoor outdoor venue that's hard to describe. The bartenders out back were funny and really personable. They explained to us how they split tips, which wasnt very fair to the good ones. We made sure to tip them well, as they added to the overall experience of the visit. I'll definitely be back!

Fast Eddie's..had a live band, lots of nostalgia, wonder food, fast Eddie buger was freaking amazing.... hot chicken on a stick,cold beer, I recommend giving them a try, had a great time... only downside parking can be a bit of a problem...

Fast daddy is always a popping spot anytime I get a chance to be in Alton love swinging in for a cold drink and a snack. The live music area is always full of patrons just enjoying the day.

I’ve been here twice. The first time was my friends 21st birthday. We were kicked out after our second round of drinks because my friend — the birthday girl — put her head down on the table for a second because she was complaining about work. None of us were even drunk at this point. They cut us off, embarrassed my friend on her birthday, and we left. The next time was this past weekend. I tried again with friends. Things were going well. I was in a group with maybe 5 people. Some people were paying cash and some people were paying card. Our waitress avoided our whole table for a while, and she came back only to tell us, “I’m not trying to be an asshole but if you want better service you should tip better. I make 9 dollars an hour. I make my money through tips”. Mind you I tipped 25 percent on card, and we had a tip pool going for her in cash. We left immediately. I will not be going back. Ever. Get better pavilion staff good lord. Have some tact.

This place is picture perfect. And the fish was amazing. Of course you have to save room for dessert. Highly recommend Mrs. Led better pie

They’re known for their desserts (always pre-order dessert as soon as you arrive!), but their lunch food is also excellent. I got the vegan wrap (with eggplant, hummus, two kinds of squash, and red onion), the daily soup, and the homemade chips. All were super flavorful. The views over the Mississippi River are also worth seeing.

Stopped in on a Sunday in early afternoon. The soups sounded amazing but we wanted to make sure we had room for dessert. Did as the server’s shirt said and ordered dessert first. Coconut Yum Yum is shortbread with coconut pudding, whipped cream, toasted coconut, and a layer of some other delicious thing. So good. Husband loved his butter cake too. Everyone was helpful and welcoming. Greeted us as soon as we walked in. Definitely will go back.

Convenient location located in downtown Alton, plenty of parking was available along the street or in the lot. But let's talk about why you're heading here...the food! I enjoyed the daily special and a bowl of white chicken chili, both were amazing! And the desert selection was amazing! I had a slice of cheesecake, but three or four more selections caught my eye. Very friendly and engaging staff, even during a very busy lunch rush. I will definitely be back again!

Very cute atmosphere and great view of the river. Waitress was running solo and ended up forgetting to take our order but no big deal. Kitchen forgot to make our sandwiches though. 40 min to get a turkey club and hot ham and cheese. A bit pricey for sandwiches. No star option for kitchen in ratings. Did not order dessert.

We had a great lunch. One of the best club sandwiches I've had in a long time! And you can never go wrong in a place where you need to order dessert first!

I have been coming to this restaurant with my mom since I was a kid and have always loved the food and found the atmosphere charming. Recently, we had My Just Desserts cater their famous Tollhouse Brownies for our wedding, and they were absolutely perfect.

Good vibes and a solid food and drink menu. I got the cottage pie and the flavors were good, but it could have been seasoned better. The chips had a really interesting tang to them! I highly recommend. Our waitress was super cool and it’s a great low-key place to grab a bite or a drink in Alton.

I didn't eat here so I couldn't judge that food but everything else was wonderful. Service was very excellent. That gentleman was playing a guitar and a banjo and singing Irish songs. What a treat!!!!!

Had a great time at this historic pub. Great folks and outstanding food. Highly recommend the bog pony and grilled cheese, the best meal during our visit. Was such a treat to have Smithwicks on tap. Awesome live music, Paul was great. If you're visiting Alton, it's a must visit. Within walking distance to the scenic highway, the old prison, the casino, shops, Mac's, etc. Loved this experience

Morrison's Irish pub has a great atmosphere that truly captures the essence of Ireland. The decor, music, and overall vibe make you feel like you've been transported across the pond. The drinks were decent, nothing extraordinary, but they hit the spot. Overall, a solid spot to enjoy a few pints and soak in some Irish charm.

We stopped here during Grafton bike week, all other restaurants/bars had an hour wait time just to order food. But this place had super quick and friendly service, easy parking. Amazingggg angus burgers. You have to try one if you stop here, probably one of the best burgers I've ever had. Super cool atmosphere too!

I've dined here several times over the last few years, and I can say my food and service have been consistently wonderful every time. The Shepard's Pie and Lamb Burger are spot-on. I'm not sure how they pull it off in the limited space they have, but they sure do it. Larger groups may have a challenge finding seating, but if you do, it will be well worth it! Great selection of drinks too, for those looking to party Irish instead of dining...

Great concept but poorly executed. My suggestions for improvements for this establishment are as follows: have enough staff to serve your customers, have enough food to serve your customers, and if you're going to call yourself an Irish Pub, be one properly. We won't be back. Since we had never been to this establishment before and since we were driving 27 miles to get there, I called ahead to get some information. I asked her what time the band started and if they had any weekend specials since we were going on a Saturday. She informed me that the band started at 6:00, the special was a Smashburger and that a tour group was arriving and she suggested we get there before 5:30. We arrived around 5:15 and as the establishment is extremely small (total seating including the bar area is about 30 people) we were able to get the last two seats available at the bar. There were no tables available even though there was a table and two unused chairs up in the stage area that could have been used for more seating. When we ordered our food we were told that they were completely out of mashed potatoes! Seriously, at an Irish Pub you're out of mashed potatoes? She did not tell me this when I called. One of the food menu items we went there for specifically was the colcannon. We were also told that our food order would be at least an hour since the tour group had ordered all at once and there was only one cook in the kitchen! We ordered our food and replaced the colcannon and boxty with regular potato chips. While we were waiting for our meal we saw two tables served with mashed potatoes on their plates! We were immediately upset. When our food finally did come it was okay, nothing to write home about. And then while we were eating our dinner we saw another table served with mashed potatoes! This led us to leave a 5% tip not that we wanted to leave any tip at all but our server who was greatly overwhelmed with customers did a good job. The band was fun but I was disappointed to find out that they didn't know any of the traditional Irish songs that I requested. They actually said they had never heard of these songs before. My stepfather was an Irishman and I've heard all the authentic Irish songs as that is all he listened to. I did not recognize any of the songs that this band played, it just "sounded" like Irish songs with Irish Tunes.

Thrilled to have Indian food in Alton IL. The food was much better than expected and the mango lassi/milkshake was super tasty. Hope they make it legit and offer lunch buffet in the future. Was also nice meeting the chef who was very friendly.

Just about everything you could want is on this menu, from italian to Indian to Mexican. We tried a couple of italian dishes, and they were fantastic. They did have a buffet going that looked tasty, but for our first time here, we opted to choose from the menu and we were not disappointed. Nickil our waiter was pleasant and attentive. Oh, and you'll love the light jazz and big band music in the background.

We went to Santino's tonight to celebrate our anniversary and my birthday. For Friday night it was relatively quiet, we did not have to wait and were taken right away to our table. The atmosphere was very nice, not too dark. We have not been here for a while, since the new owners took over. The menu has changed and they have added dishes from various parts of the world. Another time we will check out some of the variety but tonight we had our hearts set on Italian I had the seafood Alfredo and my husband had lasagna. Both dishes came with a breadstick and we each had a side salad with the homemade ranch dressing. We shared a fried ice cream for dessert and brought home a homemade tiramisu. The food was wonderful, and the portions were big enough that we had to get to go boxes. But my favorite part of the evening was the manager,Mani. He was absolutely amazing. He was so personable and ready to assist. We chatted and laughed with him as if he were an old friend. Such a nice young man! Overall we had a wonderful date night! We will definitely be back, and I highly recommend. Can't wait to try their Sunday brunch!

We had an employee appreciation lunch for our food service department today. I was extremely impressed by the help I was given by our waiter, Nickil and Mani. I had to set the room up that involved a lot, including clipping roses that I wanted to be served with the dessert. I brought in cheesecake and they made sure to keep it refrigerated. They took it upon themselves to decorate the plate with chocolate power and strawberry drizzle, along with the pink roses I gave them for each plate. I could not have been more impressed. Everyone was! They said it was almost too pretty to eat. As far as the meal went, everyone loved what they ordered. We had zero complaints. Chef KK did an excellent job and made sure we had five star cuisine. We understood that we deserved this lunch under new ownership and we were not disappointed. We noticed that the menu was different, however everyone found something that excited their appetite. Thank you for an amazing meal and we will keep you in mind when we hold another event for our staff. Thank you to everyone involved!

First time going. Went for the Indian cuisine and cant wait to go back. Destiny was our server and she was nothing short of amazing!!! The atmosphere is clean and cozy with the perfect amount ambiance! KK, the chef and I assume owner, came out and introduced himself. He was so kind and sweet to my kids and myself. My 7 year old loved him and wanted to say bye to him again before we left!!! The quality of the food compared to the price is phenomenal!! We had the calamari, cheese Naan and mozzarella sticks to start. There's a children's menu for kids and both of mine had the cheeseburger and fries. We finished with the fried icecream! And KK even gave us a sample of the pineapple icecream!!! What a great place!

So Jeff and I went to Santino’s in Alton. One of our favorite Italian restaurants, to find out it is under new ownership. Menu items have changed but still had our favorite Italian meals. What once was complimentary breadsticks are now $1.99, but not a big deal. We opted to get the breadsticks, they brought the Parmesan to the table the oil was already there. We got our meals it was very different than the original not near as good…. But that’s ok we continued to eat and when I tried a piece of crab that was in my meal it tasted sour. I went to put more Parmesan on my plate and noticed something in the shaker. The waitress came over and asked if I wanted a box I told her no it tasted sour. I showed her what came out of the shaker and I decided to turn over the shaker see it covered in mold. Jeff and I just ate that Parmesan how gross. I’m so disgusted. Stay clear of this place. No longer a good place to eat.

Took my mother there for her 90th birthday. What a huge disappointment. Not the Santinos I had been to several times previously. Menu completely changed. All the delicious offerings gone. My veal Parmesan was disgusting. COLD. The cheese had been melted and had solidified again. The linguine it was served upon, cold and zero flavor. No sauce Salad, now ala cart was nasty. Had to ask for bread 3 times. Gone the bread of before. Bread sticks. Yuk. Fazoli’s has better bread sticks. My brother ordered crab cakes. Gross. Obviously from frozen and poorly prepared. My cousin and her husband ordered steak. Also nasty. Baked potatoes the size of eggs.We had to ask for butter. Potatoes served without. Our poor waitress was doing her best with lousy management and bring yelled at by the kitchen. The new owners have ruined a nice fine place. I will NEVER go there again. Stay away

WOW Kate was fantastic! Very friendly. Food was very good. This family run Mexican restaurant is truly a gem. We were passing through the area and decided to give this place a try. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely return here again for some delicious Mexican food.

I got a large door dash order, first time orderer. Felt like some Mexican foods, so I went to a different place than I normally order from put of curiosity. These dudes hit!!!! The entire planet is sleeping on the Alton Fried Tacos, the one I had with my order was so far out from what I had to expected... Simple and delicious, - I normally don't leave reviews but the whole order was great and was blown by the Fried Alton Taco 🌮 A++ , bravo!

I worked in Alton, IL for a few years and I ate at Riviera Maya once per week. The food is great and the staff are so very friendly! Everything is great, but we especially love the fajitas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and the hits just keep on comin'! We strongly recommend Riviera Maya in Alton for the best Mexican on the East side of the Mississippi!

Been eating here for years and years. By far the best Mexican restaurant in the area!! They also did a fantastic job with catering my wedding!! I highly recommend them for a casual lunch or dinner as well as large events where a lot of food is needed. We had 60 people and they served us very generously.

Friendly owner - came over and spoke to us. Food was very tasty. Service was prompt. I love the chips and salsa—my all time favorite part. Would definitely eat here again with my family when in Alton, IL! I know this is my go to Mexican Restaurant! :)

Delicious food and great service. Their Pollo Cancun is the best mexican-themed dish I have had in Saint Louis to date!! It was so good I had to try and figure out how to make it at home. Friendly service and clean and cute restaurant, too.

Happy 7th Anniversary, to The Brown Bag Bistro. You are like a bottle of wine, you are getting better with age. In all honesty, you do deserve a 5 Star rating, but I'm holding back, because you do not offer a sandwich with pastrami and that is my all time favorite deli meat. However, I will give a huge shout out for the, Sammy Roo (Reuben), The New Yorker (Roast Beef), Bistro Club and The Granny Grilled Cheese. All four of these are winners and big enough to share or to have leftovers for another meal. Your salads are sensational, too. I'd be hard pressed to say which one is my favorite. Out of your five offerings, I've tried three. Your Spinach, BLT and Chicken Caesar are all top notch. Being a local concierge, I am always recommending your restaurant to guest. When I do, I always recommend ordering a sandwich and salad to share. That way they get a sampling of both. I'm old school and not a real fan of order at the counter and take a seat. Times are changing and I am adapting. Your staff does a good job of offering this type of service. The cashier is always friendly and takes orders as if she were standing table side. Then when the runner brings the order, they are equally as professional and friendly. In closing, I'll say BBB is top-notch and is a must visit when in Alton. I just wish they offered pastrami.

Stopped by Brown Bag for a quick lunch To-go. The food was excellent and the employees were very friendly. We got a Rosie Roo (Turkey- Ruben) and the Adamo with Mac n cheese and a side house salad. Everything was excellent. 10/10 recommend!

Brown Bag Bistro is the best! It’s almost always my families pick when we go to lunch in Alton. I’ve eaten around the menu & everything is soooo good! My ultimate favorite is the Bistro Club. Such a great sandwich ever. single. time. I recently was helping plan a 30th birthday and needed a charcuterie board and immediately thought of Brown Bag for it. From start to finish Chris and the whole team were wonderful. The board was so good & we ate every last piece. Needless to say it was the talk of the party. Highly recommend if you need catering for a party or need a great spot to eat in Alton!

Ordered carry out for a group to celebrate work birthday with pick up at 1130 on a Wednesday. This place is always hopping ! All the food was just as we ordered only thing I regret is not grabbing a slice of delicious cheesecake!

Wow what a delicious lunch - everyone loved their food. We got the ultimate grilled cheese with lobster bisque, Italian meatloaf sandwich and the club sandwich. Only able to go at the end of the week of our vacation, wish we could have gone a 2nd time.

Been here a few times now and its easily becoming one of my favorite spots in town. Great food with good variety. The service is friendly and my favorite part is the patio seating!

I have enjoyed a meal over 40 times in the last 3 years from Brown Bag Bistro. Every one of them was 5 stars every time. The Salads, Soups, and sandwhiches are exceptional. Fresh meats, Fresh Breads, including some fantastic Naan. Scratch made sauces and dressings. The tastiest fresh made salt & Pepper potato chips I have ever had. Hands down, the best homemade ranch dressing for at least a 300 mile radius. Reubens, Roast Beef, and the Wadlow + The red hot Riplet are 2 forays into flavor that are worthy of representing the area and Brown Bag Bistro. If you don't know, consider yourself informed. This place is exceptional. Every Bite.

I recently dined at Joe K's Restaurant and had a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating, creating a welcoming atmosphere that felt family-oriented. The food was decent and satisfying, and I would definitely consider returning for another meal. Overall, a positive dining experience at Joe K's.

Great food, hot coffee, and lovely staff. Even with a wait, it wasn't long, and the place is so clean! Recommend the everything bagel sandwich, it kept me going til supper!

You want some great food? This place is amazing! It's our new favorite place to go for breakfast. We will have to try lunch or dinner there someday. We live in Glen Carbon and it's well worth the drive. Great service and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Went here for lunch. Friendly staff, there was a bit of a wait, but we were seated quickly. Even for being busy, our server was attentive. I can't say I was impressed with the taste of the food. Big portion sizes, though. My chicken sandwich was just sloppy, dry dispite hot sauce, and the breading was thin and not very tasteful. I've seen great breakfast reviews though, so maybe I just got the wrong thing.

Sunday Aug. 24, 2025 Great food & really good service by all employees. Renee, our waitress, was exceptional & has a great personality. Pricing is very fair for the portions you receive, eg. (Blueberry pancakes)!!! Loaded w/blueberries & (2) pancakes as big as the plate. I had the “Dixie Special” which came with biscuit & gravy which was excellent. If you don’t get there early, expect a short wait & you’ll soon understand why!

We had honor of treating the legendary traveler, Peter Frank, during his historic Mississippi River adventure. He was starving when we acquired him and in need of calories to restore his energy. Joe K's was just the place for energy fueled brunch on a Friday afternoon. Great food. Great service. And a great environment. Thank you!

We decided to visit Joe K's as a fun adventure for the family, and we were so impressed. The food was amazing, and incredibly inexpensive. We received fast and friendly service, and our food was ready very quickly. At one point, one of our children exclaimed, "I love this day!" Lol. So there you have it. We will definitely be back. Well worth the drive from St. Louis County.

The location had been closed, but I didn't know they had reopened in Alton, IL. I had only been there twice before, but I see where they've remodeled the restaurant. The upgrades look fresh and the carpet look new/clean and not worn. They don't offer a big deal for Seniors when it comes to discounts. They only take off cents. The staff was very accommodating and professional. The Mac & Cheese 🧀 need some help.

3/22/25. Stopped at Corral around 7:30 pm. The best part of Corral tonight was the salid bar. They ran out of steak. The taco bar looked like it was not restocked with any fresh meat or shells. The restaurant was very busy but our server was on point making sure we had fresh drinks and cleared the table of empty plates. To me it just was not a good experience at this Golden Corral.

Food station at 4.30 p.m. was in poor condition. People picking in Food. Line waiting for the steak. Buffet needed replenishment. Bill for 2 about 50.00. Could have went to better restaurant with service and better food. Last visit at this restaurant. 20.00+/pp with beverage! Not worth it.

There was a variety of good food that was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Our waitress ,Brandy, was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back.

My Son took us there. It was to celebrate his son, birthday. He turned 3 years old birthday today. The food was good. Some weren't hot. But my two sons liked most of it. I like some of food. However, we didn't like the mac & cheese, it wasn't good. It wasn't home made from scratch. Processed mac and cheese. 😕 I won't go back. Plus, no senior citizen discount on dinners. Cost $23.00 per plate with taxes added. Plus the sodas were expensived too. I asked the young lady, cashier, but she barely open her mouth to us. My son spent $48.00 for the two of us. Food is sometimes a hit and miss. Service is awesome but the atmosphere I had to give a lower score because the dishes are never really cleaned. I have to usually go through several plates before I can find a clean one. The same goes for the cups. The bars usually have food dropped on them as well as some parts of the floor.

Whoever the GM is seems very disrespectful towards crew members and customers. The way he carries himself in the building is just overall uninviting. My son and I eat here all the time, but after seeing that, I'd rather just not. He sends people on break when the bar is empty without replacing anything. The girl in bakery also wasn't wearing a hair net. Very gross. From what I heard from the back that day, the GM is worried about everything else then what he's supposed to be. Rolls were stale, they ran out of rolls at the end because there were not any in the proofer. The curations on the salad bar were very hard also.

Went to a party here. Place was poppin. Music was great took me back a few decades when I had the energy to go all night. Now, well now is a different story. Had a great time food was delicious. The Wisconsin Grilled Cheese was on point!! The pepper jack cheese gave it just the kick it needed. Would gladly come again to try something else on the menu.

We are new to the area and have been trying different spots. This place always seems to have a busy parking lot and has decent reviews. Definitely a Cheers type atmosphere. The dining room is clean but a truck stop dining feel. Big booths, hard chairs, Formica tables. Patrons need to talk loudly to be heard. The staff appeared to be high school/college aged and did a great job of checking on their tables. There was a good menu selection with mostly fried bar type food. We ordered cod dinners which were served in plastic basket and quite tasty. We will probably return.

When my husband and I are talking about where to eat, Sports tap is always one of the named suggestions! Always super tasty and super fresh. Young/energetic people working there, all walks of life. We will be back soon!

Went last night to watch the blues game along with playoff football. Trying to find a local bar to be my new spot and safe to say I found it. First off, the bar keep Megan was phenomenal. Besides immediately bringing me a beer as soon as mine was empty, recommended the wild sauce for their wings and it was delicious. I also got the onion rings and while just a touch over cooked were still very good, and you get a huge portion for the price (wish I took a pic but you get like 15 or 20 rings) not a huge ranch guy but their ranch was good. TV setup is also good, 5 tvs at the bar and plenty more around the restaurant. I have to mention, for how good the food and service is i can't believe how inexpensive it was. Will definitely be frequenting this establishment on a regular basis.

Very cool random spot i found... im not a local.... was treated great and met some awesome people. Plenty of sports to watch. Interesting atmosphere. Everyone was beyond friendly and kind, i didnt feel out of place at all visiting from chicago. Nice work alton tap!

The food is always good, as is the service. It's a little outdated inside, but don't let that scare you off. I don't think I've ever been disappointed with the food. And now they've got Heaterz, which ups the game. If you haven't been, give Sports Tap a shot.

Went here for the first time and food was excellent. Me and my wife got the 6oz steak special. Was very good no complaints. I also ordered the wings to go and they were good even reheated up. Would definitely go back here and recommend to anyone

Alton location: Ceiling tiles are falling, wood is peeling off of wall, waitress could not understand our order and order came out completely wrong numerous times even with electronic tablet, waited on food to arrive an hour. Would not recommend!

Table across from us was dirty from when we walked in until we left, table was weirdly sticky and for a restaurant with almost all booths privacy was nonexistent and had to be a part of someone else's louder than normal conversation the whole visit. Also, the building feels weirdly like an out of season hotel lobby that needs a good wipe down.

IHOP is under new management I didn’t catch his name yesterday, but he was very friendly and helped me figure out my app to get my free pancakes. Matt our server was very fast and polite. Food tasted much better. Way to get it together guys and gals. :) we’ll definitely be back soon.

I would give all 0 besides for a service today Other waitresses besides our waitresses Imogene was rude! Disrespectful ! Waiting on my sons pancake for 30 mins after the rest of our table already done got ours and I could everything in the kitchen going on and the cooks just taken their time talking crap on the other waitresses… never will be back! We requested our waitress but they didn’t have a table big enough for us. So i asked if we could sit at the bigger table but have the waitress we wanted. They got pissed off and snobby and running their mouths. Will never be back to this place!

Food was delicious and hot! The chicken biscuit was a really good option. I never would have considered pickles with hash browns on it but im glad I did. The biscuit was huge so it was a good sized meal. Ranae was cleaning tables and assisting all of the customers. She even sang to pass the time. She continually checked on customers as it was busier than I would have expected for a weekday morning. I'll definitely be back.

I will be uploading the pictures. My food arrived cold. The cheese sticks were exploded where there was no cheese in them. My omelette was not an omelette. It was a egg mess. Flat nothing inside of it it was supposed to be a full of bacon. My boyfriends and daughter's pancakes were almost burnt and when I contacted them for a refund they directed me to corporate even though they own the business. I am not satisfied. At all. Like I said I will be uploading with pictures. Update. I've talked with guest relations several times now. They told me if no one got a hold of me by Thursday they would take care of it. It's Friday they still haven't taken care of it. Not only am I upset with this franchise but now I'm upset with the corporate office. This is ridiculous. Still no resolution for everything being wrong. We are going on 2 weeks.

Awful. Took almost 50 minutes for our food. When the food came out majority of it was cold. Chocolate milk tasted expired and my hash browns were almost impossible to bite through. Came in at 5:10 and left at 6:30. I understand the shortage of staff but there was only one family in the entire restaurant and rest were empty chairs. So I don’t think it should have taken this long. Place was also questionable in the cleanliness department. There were many flies and the table two over from us had a sandwich that was there before we came in and was still there when we left. Food was bland and my steak tasted sweet? It didn’t say teriyaki so I was confused but I won’t hold that against the employees. Server seemed nice and wasn’t rude at all. This establishment is a total let down from what used to be great food. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place shut down due to the lack of staff and customers. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! If you want a breakfast place try Clifton Terrace of Waffle House!

This place had really good fried chicken. If you want fried chicken please go here and they will set you up with a plate of delicious that you will not be able to finish. We had a house salad which I would have preferred tossed with the dressing but it wasn’t. Now I want to talked about this restaurant’s take on toasted raviolis. Before I say anything I want to make note that where I live is close to St. Louis which is famous for toasted raviolis so I say everything from a standpoint of toasted ravioli expertise. Castelli’s toasted ravs are big and a bit like a small biscuit. They have a rich meaty center and once the marinara sauce has soaked into the crust everything really comes together. I am a sauce guy so I definitely recommend getting plenty of it for these guys. Staff was very nice and the atmosphere was right out of a clean and fresh steakhouse reminiscent of a Sunday Ponderosa restaurant. You will like it so make the trip and get the fried chicken and maybe skip the salad. 9/10 would recommend

My son chose this place for his birthday. Got a drink while we waited as they were super busy. The drinks were amazing. Very good bartenders. The wait was not bad at all for how busy they were. The service was excellent. The waitress was good. She Kept checking back on us. The food was amazing. Everything we got was good. My son was upset he told the waitress it was his birthday and she didn't give him a piece of cake 🤣. Overall great experience and would definitely come back.

Super friendly fast service from Lisa. Lisa made sure we had everything we wanted and needed to make our experience enjoyable. The atmosphere is dated but still pleasant. All the food we ordered was hot and seasoned well. Their house bread was super fresh and yummy. We had their fried chicken, fried livers, salads and beef n noodles soup which I learned is hearty and delish. It actually ate like a meal. A lot of food. We had a nice experience there and will go back.

Great food and service. If you're on the outskirts of St Louis on the Illinois side, it's worth the stop. It's a supper club with plenty of eating options. I had the 3 pieces dark fried chicken option, and it was more than enough. The service was fantastic ... family friendly too.

I got toasted ravioli and didn’t like it at all. They should come up with more tasty bread like bread sticks or garlic bread. My husband got prime rib & said it was very good.

I was debating as to whether or not I should give a review, for a dinner that was absolutely atrocious, and thought maybe people need to know and perhaps, Red Lobster could do better. I want to start with the positive; our server did a fantastic job. She was very friendly, and we wanted for nothing. The food......salty doesn't even begin to describe how salty it was. Even the biscuits (which is the main reason most folks go here anyway) were loaded with salt. And the portions were tiny, as you can see in the pictures. Walt's Shrimp was so not what it used to be. If you have health issues because of salt, I would avoid Red Lobster like the plague.

This was one of the cleanest Red Lobsters I’ve eaten at in years. Atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming. Our server, Laurel, was wonderful and made our dining experience all the more enjoyable! My husband’s salmon was cooked to perfection, and my shrimp linguini alfredo was delicious. Wish there was a Red Lobster in Atlanta that measured up to the same level as this one. We will be back when we visit the St Louis area in the near future. Thank you, Laurel, for making our date night one to remember!

At the Alton Red Lobster in Illinois, we had the best server you could ask for. Hannah, thank you for giving us a 5 star experience. The food was great, as well. Everything was cooked to perfection . Thank you, Hannah, chefs, and the rest of the team.

The atmosphere was average red lobster...a little dark, but clean. Server was average... had to request refill and removal of used dishes. Food was really good and flavorful. Ordered the Salmon and crab.

April is a fantastic server. She helped us with the menu and showed some awesome options and the food was super fresh and delicious. We will definitely be back love some red lobster.

Did a Togo on Uber. Delivery fine. But biscuits were so old I couldn't eat them. The popcorn shrimp not much better. Stale breading. Called and spoke to Christa the manager who really wasn't interested in what I had to say. Told me to come get more. I don't think I want to take a chance again. Tried to tell her to let her cooks know to check stock daily. Terrible

This place sucks. I was dressed as a ghost for Halloween last night. Just a sheet with holes cut out in it and I stopped to see the guy outside selling bbq. It smelled amazing. When I asked what he (a black guy, me white) was cooking and asked to buy some he called me a racist and then tried to get other black people to join in on it. What kind of establishment are you running here? Trying to start race wars?!! How dare you! NOTE: I was with my white gf and my black lesbian employee. Do not go to this place ever.

Arrived and wasn’t sure if the place was open or closed because it was so dead. Nobody greeted us and they weren’t even serving food… it was a cash only evening, very disappointed so we left.

My 1st time here was amazing! The food was wonderful. I had the Blackened Chicken Penne pasta. It was so big I needed a to go box. There was a live band here tonight on a Friday. The band took requests and played our songs extraordinarily. I will be back. Oh did I mention the Mardi Gras theme. If actually felt like I was in the French Quarter w/o the added smell.

The piano bar aspect of this place has been truly amazing every time I've been which is what they claim to be. So bravo! It does sometimes get crazy busy which is what every business wants but it gets crowded and service gets slow. The bathrooms have always been functional and the dual levels add a super cool aspect. I mean the beer is cold and it's a really fun atmosphere. There is a covered patio in front with tables and chairs for the smokers. Parking can be tricky but that can be said for every location on this strip. I've been multiple times and would go back.

I had a great time and dinner out with my wife. The food was excellent, I've been to NOLA and have had real Cajun food and this is certainly on par. The price was very reasonable. The decor is pretty cool, might be a bit dark for some but, it has character. Service was great and the cook even came out to chat with us. Would recommend to all my friends.

What an awesome place! We decided to do a bar hope in Alton last night and of the 5 or 6 bars we went to this one my favorite. Can't really rate the food as we were not there to eat. But the service was fast and the atmosphere was great. It was just what we were looking for, so much so that it's the one place we hit twice in the same night. The dueling pianos with the sing alongs were right up our alley. I can't wait for when our older children come home to visit so we can bring them here.

Celebrated some family birthdays here and had a good experience. My prime rib was fantastic (just like the steak during my first visit) and the appetizers were delicious. Some family members had overcooked steaks but the waitress quickly addressed that issue everyone's satisfaction. The only real negative was my step mother's lobster pasta special was flavorless - she sent it back and opted to go without an entree. The manager came to talk with us, which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely go back.

Every time we've eaten there, the food is excellent & the staff is friendly & prompt. Even the owner will stop at your table & ask how you're doing & chat for a minute. Very nice restaurant. Small but quite good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Was not expecting actual fine dining in this part of Alton, but the sign didn't lie. Went in expecting just gyros but there was so much more. Steak,sea food and drinks. I ended up getting what I came for which was a gyro and was not disappointed. Everything tasted fresh and the presentation of the food was clean and neat. My only complaint is that I wish the side of fries was larger.

Came in for drinks was immediately greeted by Maddy she took care of us all evening while also being attentive to all the guests at her bar. She did an amazing job our glasses were never empty, appetizers came out quickly, her timing for our entrees was more then perfect she made our evening!!!! With good service great food and friendly atmosphere I would recommend this establishment to anyone especially if Maddy is working!!!

Had a fantastic supper with friends. Was not disappointed with my pepper loin. It was cooked to perfection. Everyone was very pleased with their dinner. Can't wait to eat there again.

We should have been clued in when we came in for lunch at 12:30 and there were only a couple of customers. My friend ordered the chicken wrap and she said it was very tasteless and had no signature type flavor at all. She also got a Caesar salad and said the dressing did not taste like Caesar. I got the bone-in chicken plain due to allergies and it was very dry and tasteless. My fries were also soggy and cold. The service and food were mediocre at best. I used to love Applebee's and it had been quite a long time since I had eaten there. There are too many other options to waste my $$ at Applebee's. I won't be back.

Two weeks ago I ordered food from this restaurant and the boneless chicken wings were very dry and old, the salmon was dry, the mashed potatoes weren’t good, and my friend said their riblets were burnt. I spoke to the manager, David, about the issue. I told him it was too cold to go back to the restaurant. He was suppose to mail me a voucher and I never received it. This is the worst restaurant!

Our server Shelby was great. Carpet was clean and it was busy but quite. Had games on for you game lovers.

I went to Applebee's with my family for my birthday this year because I heard they have fun drinks for someone turning 22, I was intrigued. It was a change from my usual chips, salsa, and margaritas. I legitimately came just for the drinks. When I tried to order, I realized I forgot my ID, blaming it on my heat-induced brain fog from the State Fair. Amanda, our server, suggested I just have water, which I was planning to order anyway, but I felt a bit of animosity after she said that. No biggie, though, a family member who wasn't with us brought my ID. Amanda finally came back after serving our food to take my drink order but then proceeded to check my ID for over a minute. I'm presuming it was because she thought I was either turning 21 or that it was fake. As someone who also serves and has to check IDs, I know that 2004 is the generation turning 21, not 2003. So, I don’t see how it would take her more than 10 seconds to realize I’m a year older than 21. She even held it up to the light to see if the state outline was there, so now I know she was checking if it was fake. At an Applebee's, seriously? Maybe at Bon Air, but not for these mediocre drinks and with both my parents their yikes. Also, my shark drink had only one gummy, and it was lips? What? And just one? She also didn’t check on us as much as the table next to us. The appetizer came out with our food, and we didn’t get small plates for it. She also complained about how other customers complained, which tells me she knows she works in a not-so-great establishment. That’s probably why she acts like that; my parents experienced something similar with her just last week. She’s one of the main servers and isn’t any better than the rest, even those who have probably been there less time than she has. I was also told she’s a manager, so thanks for a mediocre birthday. She didn’t even wish me a happy birthday.

I left my wallet in this place and realized it after two days…. I called the manager and assured me that it was being kept. He was so nice and helpful…. the staff are very pleasant as well. You will feel safe and secure in this place. I’m just visiting and I will always remember the good people in this particular Applebees… Thank you for your service and kindness. You guys went above and beyond my expectations

Terrible service!! waitress I had Gracie was too busy talking about her son and the size clothes he wears in her dogs at every table. She never even brought me silverware, napkins, or anything we had to eat with our fingers and had to use a kids menu to wipe our hands off, and the check was sat down on the table before we even took our second bite of our platter. Never asked if we wanted any refills on our drinks. Never asked us anything. The manager Dan didn’t do anything to resolve the matter said he would mail me a gift card for the experience and never mailed anything. My daughter lost the AirPod that was never retrieve there as well the same night I would not recommend go to a different Location. “Owner gives me a link to communicate and the link isn’t even a real one or a functioning one. Way to help out a guest that was treated like dirt with kids in your restaurant. The WORST APPLEBEES BY FAR

Onion rings are fantastic.. Went here to watch NFL game during lunch. Bar was dark. TV was partially blocked by hanging glasses. Had to use the light from my phone to read the menu. Would consider food to go from here, but not interested in dining here again.

We were seated a corner booth. It seems our waitress kept overlooking us there. We got blocked in by the 2 men seated at the oversized table next to ours. Atmosphere was barlike. Food was really good.

It was pretty good. I just thought the portions were a little small. I had the Pepperloin steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Not to bad. Wife had a steak sandwich. She said it was good. Service was good, the young lady was attentive to our table.

After enjoying my second St. Paddy's day at Johnsons Corner, I figured it was time to write a review. I can't believe I haven't sang their praises earlier. Some folks would consider Johnsons Corner a dive bar, but I think it is a good old fashioned neighborhood bar with great food. They are known for their delicious, Pork Tenderloin Sandwich which is one of my favorites. Another meal they are popular for is, St. Patrick Day Corned Beef. They are so popular on St Paddy's that folks are waiting outside their door before they open at 10AM. The corned beef is flavorful and is served with cabbage and boiled potatoes. Of course you gotta have a glass of Guinness. They have other craft beers if Guinness isn't your thing. I also recommend them for, Catfish Strips and Crinkle Fries during Lent. A must order, is their Onion Rings. If you are dining with friends, order them as an appetizer, you'll be glad you did. Oh, they also do Stanley's Pizza which is amazing. I've had multiple different servers and they have always been attentive and friendly. If you're lucky, you'll meet Jimmy the owner, he's a true character and he'll make you laugh.

Great service and great food. It was just a light meal for us today after the boat races. Hubby had a BLT & Fries and I had the Patty Melt & sweet potato fries. Delicious as always. Service was great with the server checking on us often

Family atmosphere. Most popular corner in Alton. On Logan & State one of two exits from my neighborhood. I avoid Logan exit when restaurant is open because of heavy traffic & parked cars crowding traffic views. Always a crowd especially on Monday & other night they have menu specials.

3/25/25. I wanted a gyro and Olga's had it on the menu. The restaurant is pretty nice and I am sure the other food is pretty good also. The gyro was just ok. I have had better. The gyro lacked meat. The flavor was there but their was hardly any meat.

I wouldn’t even be mad about how long it has taken for my food to not come out if it wasn’t for the fact that they’re obviously prioritizing to-go orders and people who ordered 15 minutes after I was seated got their food 15 minutes before I decided to type a review. Edit. My Olga Gyro had a funky taste to it. This is so sad because Olga’s used to be very good. At least the employees in the restaurant are friendly.

the food was okay.. the tenders were dry, our server seemed like she was out of it so it took us so long to get waited on , the General manger is rude ! i heard her over talking about the smell of another cook and they were all laughing which rage baited me and my husband , I've enjoyed olgas for years but it seems like since the first GM left ( Greg} olgas has been going down hill ! with the food and service ! ive loved olgas for years ! but new more mature experience should be added to olgas with the managers and the servers ! I come here more often than not and I know personal business about the staff i shouldn't , because of unproefessionalism ! oh and please call an exterminator !!!!

Food was great! Jessica was fantastic today! There was a server out sick and she kept things flowing smoothly and even took care of a group having a party while we were there. Excellent service!

We ordered through Door Dash and they messed up our order on 1 of the sandwhiches. Ordered a turkey club olga and they gave us some ham crap. It looked gross when we opened the sandwhich and were like "what is this". So didnt eat it. Our olga bread for the sandwhiches were both soggy. We ordered a snacker box that only came with 2 cheeses and I even ordered extra large cheese. The food arrived with all the side snackers spilled out of the container bags into the very bottom of the bag and finally our food was COLD!!! Alton Olgas has gone way down hill and should close immediately. Terrible service eating at the restaurant and Door Dash is even worse. Never again!!!!

Ashley took my order, in fact Ashley remembered me and previous orders for grandchildren. Told me when it would be ready, Kids meal was great, and the cheese balls were delicious. overall the service Ashley provided, even telling me when I came to pick up order, that the chocolate milks were in a separate bag was great.

What happened to Olga's? This place used to be awesome, now its barely adequate. The last 2 times we went, it wasn't very good, so I didn't want to write a review. We went "one last time", and, yeah, it was definately the last time. I got the cheeseburger Olga and it fell flat. The snackers were not enjoyable at all, and some were even burnt. Did the recipe for the snacker "butter" change too. My wife said her fried chicken Olga was flat, too. We literally got the two most basic Olga's and they weren't good. Let's end on a high note; our server was incredible. She was so friendly and on point. She 100% saved dinner from being a complete disaster. I feel like I'm sayimg good bye to an old friend, because of all the great meals I had there, but its time bid farewell. I hope they can return to their former glory.

This bar is always jumping on the weekends. It's a great place filled with great people The fireworks show and festival they put on was better than celebrate Saint Louis and granite City fireworks!!

Very nice and relaxing atmosphere with so much history and what I call artifacts, displays all about the tavern. The kitchen closes early but the food is good and fresh. The music is always a treat, yet; loud and crowded can be a distraction for some.

1st time visit, drove over 100 miles one way to meet friends here. Was Very surprised, everyone including the owner was there (Doit) and very nice and welcomed. The food here was awesome. Will return soon !!!

Doit's Village Inn. What can I say negative about this place. Absolutely nothing. I've been going into this bar for numerous years. And I've always been welcomed with a smile from the bar tender , too the kitchen cooks , to the customers. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for The cook at Village inn, Mr gravy. One of the nicest men you will ever meet.. I met 2 gentlemen while shooting pool just 2 days ago. And shot pool with them and chatted for 4 hrs and enjoyed myself. I've made many of friends here. If you have never been here then you need to stop in, play there slots 5 stars, have some drinks 5 stars order some food 5 stars. Thank you every one.

Looking for sushi in the STL area? I promise you will NOT find a better place than this! The only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5 is because they have bee servers and their English is not that great. So be patient … it is worth it! I have been coming here since 2016 … I have been to several sushi restaurants around the area … and no one does it better than shogun. If you want better than this … go to a coastal city.

We love Shogun! Always a delicious dinner option. I do wish that this location offered the spicy chicken option that I've had at other Shogun locations, but that's my only gripe.

Food was great. Service was ok. I would have liked a refill on my drink even if I had to pay for it but the experience made up for the lack of service. The Chef was great at entertaining and our food was delicious!

Very nice to have such a fun place with wonderful food in Alton. There is no other restaurant around here like this one. This chefs are great and put on a good show for adults or children and the food is amazing. They go out of their way to make birthdays extra special with doing the Dragon Dance for the person's birthday and have them join to do the dance if they choose to. Very fun place

Fairly diverse menu as you can get sushi-chicken-steak-oysters-lamb-eel-calamari-scallops etc. Also Japanese items special hand rolles sushi-sushi combination plates-sea weed salad-and Saki, several flavors. I had the white peach saki and it was wonderful! Reservations are recommended for the Hitachi bar as seating is fairly limited. Oh and for little ones they have chicken nuggets and fries for the picky eaters. Staff is super friendly but you must listen closely as their accents are heavy Wonderful experience as we were celebrating daughters 28th birthday . Is on the pricey side, and for parties over 6 including the kids, they automatically add a 18% gratuity. We spent $90 for 2 of us. I had 1 glass of saki, we had 2 appetizers and 2 entrées and iced tea/coke.

Servers are always nice. I love the hibachi side, but the dine-in side tastes just as good. I got the general tso's chicken, and it was amazing.

The restaurant seems to be going downhill. I went a couple months ago and had to move tables because of all the flys gathering by the window I was at. Went back again this past week and the bugs were even worse. It’s a shame because I love the hibachi grill and the sushi is decent too.

Stopped in while visiting the area. Small place, but there are 7 tables for eat-in. Everything is made to order, which is a good thing, but can take a bit if you are waiting. The place is constantly busy, but most people seem to be there to pick up or carry out their orders. We had burgers with steak fries and homemade red cream to drink -- everything was fantastic along with the service! Definitely recommend.

Will never order from here again. Food tasted like water and cigarettes and straight up oil. Fries were soggy, shrimp is so mushy and probably raw. The chicken wings are a joke. Im pretty sure they are made of of blue jay wings they are so small. 🤮

Awesome food, great people and good prices. The jalapeno burger, portabella mushroom toasted ravioli, and home made root beer is highly addictive. Also it's hard to beat a great steak, baked potato, and cheese garlic bread for under $20. Gourmet, Mom & Pops style.

This is a tiny TINY restaurant but the prices were awesome and the food was delicious.

Cute place, delicious food. Loved the onion things-thats how "onion rings" should be made!!! And the root beer is delicious.

This place has been around for 20 plus years and is an awesome Alton area icon. The dining area is not real big, so you may consider take out instead. The food is delicious and never ceases to make me happy. There is something for every member of the family. Even the pickiest person could find something to eat here, and still have an enjoyable experience. Lastly the staff is always super accommodating and really nice. No complaints here whatsoever.

Got the dozen cheeseburgers, I can remember getting these back in the 90's and they're still as good today!

Stopped by the G-B Grill for a very enjoyable lunch. My server (and cook) was Angelo. He was very friendly and shared some history about the diner. This location opened in 1910 and was the first of seven locations, and is the last location still open. The diner has been owned and operated by the same family since inception. The G-B Grill serves standard diner fare, and my lunch (bacon cheeseburger with fries) was very tasty. The food is served on stoneware plates (not plastic), and the sodas are served in vintage wavy glass cups with crushed ice. The ambiance is fantastic. Retro, old school look and feel. If you are in the area and looking for an affordable, delicious meal with fast & friendly service, at a historic venue, check out the G-B Grill, you will not be disappointed.

We came for breakfast and it was very good. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. We will have to bring the kids here for milk shakes and burgers next time and love that they have gyros. They even have a working jukebox which was super cool and very friendly staff.

Get the sausage links, they are seasoned perfectly, using the same recipe the family has been using for over a 100 years. I hit the jackpot with the vegas omelet, just the right amount of creamy cheese and filled with onions, pepper and ham. Absolutly incredible service from the family running this place. Friendly, fun, and engaging— you can't get better service than this. This 100-year-old diner has a classic feel with counter service and booths with old jukeboxes. I can't believe I didn't know about this gem, but I plan to make up for lost time with frequent visits.

This is the first place I have been to that actually made perfectly cooked scrambled eggs! Food was awesome and served within minutes, but wasn't pre-cooked. Extremely friendly staff. Decor is all near original 50s diner style with the jukeboxes at the table and a big one at the door. No paper menu - it's the original letter order above the grill. Counter seating with 7 booths. Its cash only but they do have an ATM. Absolute treasure!

This diner was opened in 1910 by Jimmy's uncle. Jimmy, his wife, and Angelo run it since the 1950's. The history is so fantastic to read about as the Alton Telegraph wrote a great article on this diner. For all you people who go gambling down on the boat please stop by and have breakfast, lunch, or a snack you can't go wrong at all. Parking was easy, food was cooked by Jimmy himself which was an honor to watch him cook. Angelo was our waiter and he was so attentive along with personal as well. This place is spick and span, which you can't even find in restaurants nowadays. They welcomed my service dog as well. Customers who I assume are regulars were so welcoming as well starting conversations with us. The menu is above the grill and the prices are more than reasonable to top off the breakfast. We ordered a 3 stack of pancakes with bacon, which were so big not to mention so flavorful and tasty. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with bacon along with sausage as I gotta feed Skippy my service dog too. These biscuits and gravy were da bomb, seriously the biscuit was so fresh, and soft too. The gravy was homemade along with the bacon had fabulous flavor. Found out from a Customer that Fridays are homemade chicken n dumplings by Jimmy's wife, who also makes the pies along with biscuits. We ordered to go homemade Chocolate and Apple Pie. Now the pie, oh lordy her Chocolate pie with a chocolate crust, chocolate not sure if it's a pudding or Mousee topped with whipped cream along with chocolate chips. The apple pie was just as good the crust was spot on and the apple filling was just right. I Wish we could have stayed for the Chicken n Dumplings, gonna have to make a road trip on Fridays just to get them soon. Not to mention they have shakes and sundaes. Diners like Jimmy's are dying out to chain restaurants we need support from our local people for fabulous family restaurants as they depend on our support. Did I mention they're a Greek family, of course, there are gyros too, gonna have to try them too.

What can you say, good hometown diner. I had a omelet and French toast ... delicious. I had a very favorable time in here. I expected greatness, and they excelled in all of my expectations, A+ diner. (Side note: I'm sometimes a stickler about gloves and they don't wear any just a FYI)

We were searching for a new place to try and this place was perfect! They have great food and the atmosphere and workers were very welcoming. Felt just like having a home cooked meal. We'll definitely be back to visit sometime soon.

3/23/25. I wanted to try the fries that they brag about after switching to the lighter oil. WOW what a difference, the fries actually taste a lot better and lighter. So under $10 bucks u can get a double Cheeseburger combo and drink. What a good experience. I will make Steak & Shake one of my favorite places to hve lunch. Everything is automated. You order at the keask and pay right there also. You need your receipt and QR code to receive your drink.

A lot of improvement! I'm not going to lie, Steak n Shake was going downhill for a while and we stopped eating here. Ever since they reopened though, they've been getting better. The food is really good - the best fast food in the area now in my opinion. Nobody does smash burgers as well as SNS! My only issue is that the dining room is always dirty, condiments/silverware is often out of stock, and the drink dispenser has issues a lot. I think having a staff member dedicated to keeping up with the dining area would help tremendously.

It has probably been a decade since I've dined at Steak n Shake. Dined in on a weekend night around 9p and there were only 2 other tables occupied. A few folks got carryout. The place was very clean and well lit. It has quarter toy dispensers (I have to wonder how often the gumballs and hard candy are replaced?) And a crazy claw machine. Very kid friendly. You order at online kiosks instead of at a register with a cashier. The point of service system was easy to use. The employees were friendly and our food was ready promptly.

New setup eliminated servers & seems quicker. Just can't give 5 stars for atmosphere, but it's better than McDonald's.

When we arrived we were the only customers. The entire staff was outside hanging out which would have been okay but the restaurant needed some attention. The floor was super slippery in the drink area. Instead of keeping it cleaned up they just put a warning that the floor is slippery. I nearly fell trying to get my drink. We ordered at the kiosk. Never saw anyone inside until they carried the food out. Shakes were great but a little sloppy. I had to wipe off the outside of the glasses. Most burgers were fine but mine was very messy with everything sliding off and half of one of the burger patties broken off and completely off of the sandwich. Fries were lukewarm.

Not sure if understaffed or just not caring. Restaurant was clean but devoid of life - there’s nothing on the tables, no human interaction. It’s like a museum of a diner now. Ordered at the kiosk, heard my name, cook gone from the counter in the few seconds it took to walk up. My order was wrong, but this model makes it not even worthwhile to try and correct that, so I admittedly did not. Final visit to a Steak ‘n Shake, like many.

We phoned in an order for pickup and the processes was seamless. The order was ready promptly. I guess they are know for quick order turn around times. The staff was welcoming and there was generous portions of food.

All was good except the ribeye which had lots of gristle but it was less than 14 so maybe that should be expected. only one burrito came with the plate and it was not huge but tasted great. With drink it cost 15-20 per person. Forgot pics unfortunately

Carne asada It's a very good meal, I got it on Thursday special for only $13.99 🤩 And I ordered a flavored margarita blue curacao and it was to my liking. I would return again 🤗

Our first visit since we moved to town. We were pleasantly surprised by the speed of food delivery and the tatse and quality of food. We had the steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. We shared it and we had a small to go box. We love Mexican and we have found our go to

They server messed up my simple drink order and acted like it my fault. Most of our food was ok but we had a taco the we did not like and when I told our sever that it tasted different than normal she said with a smirk that it was me but all 3 of us agree . We will not waste our time coming back.

Good food. Authentic Mexican cuisine. Their Taco Tuesday fried taco special is awesome. Chile Relleño con carne could have a more robust pepper size and better breading before frying, but flavor and spice were nice. Street tacos are also a must try. Get them no lettuce, add shredded cheese, on flour tortillas for best results, imo. Side of pico, guac and sour cream is the only way to go. Make sure you say no cilantro if you are one of those soap tasting weirdos.

Really good food, staff is nice. During prime eating times they get busy and parking get difficult... because its dinner time and they make good food. It does get hard to hear in there sometimes, which is a personal issue mostly.

There are basically no options for meat compared to other chinese buffets i have been to. The crab rangoon has no crab, it’s just cream cheese. The worker was vacuuming under our table and coughing/ hawking loogies while doing it, quite gross. and all the tables were sticky. The only nice thing is drinks are included in the dinner. also: my husband found plastic in his lo-mein. 🤢🤢

This is the best Chinese buffet in the metro-east imo. Always a lot of good options, they keep stocking fresh food regularly, the place is very clean, and there is plenty of seating and parking. Love it.

We got there at 5:30 expecting hot fresh food. Everything was room temperature or even cold. Food quality very low . Nice people. I feel bad for a bad review but honestly totally regret spending my money there.

We’ve been to this place many times. My only complaint is that they don’t seem to vary the menu. It would be nice if they had a “dish of the day” to add some variety. Also, there’s only one choice of ice cream and no toppings. The staff is friendly and place is clean.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. My family has been going here since i was a child. The food is not as good as it use to be. They changed many recipes. Also they are in DESPERATE need for a remodel. This place has looked the exact same everything since i was young. They have a serious MOLD problem. Today we sat at a table next to the wall and the wallpaper was peeling off the wall , and under it was black mold. The more i looked around the more black mold i could see. I can’t believe how many people are leaving reviews saying how clean this place is. It’s VERY DIRTY. The carpet is black, sticky, and probably covered in mold underneath. There was mold growing on the corners of the window and the around the exit door. If there is this much mold in the walls , just imagine how much mold is in the soda and ice cream machine. It’s no wonder how many people get sick after eating here. Also another thing i kept thinking while i was sitting there is the straws are not even wrapped. What if they are washing and reusing straws !? We will never be back.

I visited this place for the first time and was not a satisfied customer and won't return. The hot food on the bar was cold and tasted old (wings, potatoes, egg rolls, crab rangoons, etc). For the price they charge they could do a better job at making sure food temps are correct and fresh. Also, the cashier had a rude and condescending attitude. TRASH!!!

Only been to this Panera a couple of times and I just got home after dropping someone off at the airport and then stopping in to order take out. We ordered the Garden Avo Toast and the Avocado and Egg White Sandwich....but as you can see in the photos, the avo disappointment is real.

I am not usually one to leave a bad review because I have an understanding with human error and I know it happens when busy. But today was the third time recently that my whole salad was missing the chicken. Today I went back in for it because it’s not cheap to eat here and you should get what you order! I am a pleasant person and was met with rudeness when I informed the food line that my salad was missing chicken. No apology. I may need a break from trying to enjoy my lunches here!

The food is always great, but I’m getting really tired of being asked to tip in the drive thru. When I don’t give my phone number to receive points, they take my card as usual.. But when I give my number, the same lady sticks the card reader out the window with a tip option. Makes me not want to come back to this location to be completely honest.

I got a pumpkin muffin. They are always so moist (hate that word), and they really do a great job getting them cooked to perfection. The bagel is a cinnamon crunch bagel, and the cream cheese is plain. I must say that the cream cheese cost well over the price of the bagel, but I always get it because I don't want to wait to get home to have a few bites. The sandwich is the grilled Mac and cheese sandwich. The chips come as an automatic side option; you can get a piece of a baguette or a pickle instead. My partner likes this sandwich, although it is filled with carbs. He has nothing to worry about in the department, though. If you get this, be prepared to take half home; it is a lot for anyone to handle. He also loves the Smokehouse BBQ Chicken sandwich. He gets it with just meat cheese and sauce. The crispy fried onions are not something everyone would enjoy, so I recommend getting them on the side

Went for dinner, staff were helpful. Food looked great on the menu, but actually in hand, was honestly a bit bland. Not a bad place, but not somewhere I would go out of my way to eat at.

This place does have some good items. BUTT the service sucks and they seem to be running some Type of scamming with prices always being different. I alway ask for my total before coming because honestly they ring in larger portions and more than you need without asking!!! And the restaurant is Dirty. For how much money this restaurant is making they don’t really care about what it looks like first impressions are everything and honestly all you see is dirty windows walls chairs and a card board separating the other side of the dining area!!

They do have the best crab Rangoon around. They also have one of the worst customer service. A custome did not understand the menus choices and the lady behind the counter seemed annoyed to have to help her. The place is not tidy and kept. It makes you wonder how clean they are.

They used to have decent food. Everytime we have tried to eat there since covid, the food is prepared differently with different ingredients everytime. The inside is awful. Tonight I ordered sautéed broccoli and got hot and spicy broccoli. The Chicken was small and over cooked. Prices don't match the menus and frequently do not get the orders correct. Im sick of the dish ingredients changing everytime we eat there. Today will be out last visit.

Their wall Clock is set almost 10 minutes ahead of what my phone says so don't expect them to give you a lunch special if it's any later than 2:50. Have not eaten yet so I can't rate the food. Just got the food, they got the order wrong

The prices listed online sre not accurate. The prices are double- almost triple what they are when you order. Spent $45 for two when there’s a $14 all you can eat just a couple blocks away.

Came to this location with a couple friends and my brother. Came in and the employees were very friendly. They were able to get the food out fairly quick for how much food we had ordered. The floors could use a little extra attention to detail but other than that the place is clean and good spot to visit and eat at.

My sliders were nasty, my buns were saugy. The service was terrible. We had to repeat ourselves at least 3-4 different times. We had to wait 5 mins for a bottle of water.

Arrived at 10:30 pm and waited until 11:04. My order was not taken. Review cameras for proof 5/30/2025. There was one car in front of me who was there for longer than I was.

So I ordered a Thanksgiving sub online at 418pm. It’s a sub right? At 430 I walked in to pick up and wasnt ready until 450pm. Got it home and there was no mayo and no cranberry (sweet and tart) whatsoever. The bun was soggy from the steamed “stuffing”. Do better! And I want a FREE Thansgiving sub. Alton store.

First time here at this location and was actually a nice experience. The atmosphere was amazing and the customer service received was top notch!

Service is a bit slow, but man the wait is worth it. Their subs rolls are pillows and steamed to perfection. The New York Steamer is my go to, as I am a sucker for all things pastrami.

Firehouse sub Alton is great! The staff and crew are always pleasant and they get your orders completed correctly and quickly !

Been here twice, the sandwiches are very good. However they forgot the pickle both times. The mac and cheese was very good the first time but the second time was given cold and didn't have the bread crumbs on top.

First time going and the employees made sure that it was a great experience....will be going back soon. Highly recommend

I have been to this location quite a few times while traveling to visit my daughter with zero issues. Today, we ordered two egg McMuffins. They were not busy, and it took 15 minutes. When I inquired about the long wait. I was told it takes a long time to cook real eggs. I'm not buying that. Not sure what the real issue was, but just know, you may not have a quick drive-thru if you order an egg McMuffin.

I got there a good five minutes before lunch and because the line wasn't moving, I didn't get up to the menu board until exactly 10:30. They wouldn't let me order breakfast because they had literally just switched over to lunch, so the entire trip was a waste of my time. What, was I supposed to order a Big Mac at 10:30AM?

I live right up the road from this location and I have been two times and I will never go back now. The first time I ordered a pumpkin pie and gave the lady the change and a five dollar bill at the window all at the same time, she then told me that she could not take change and has a complete attitude with me, shuts the window in my face. I get to the next window, the lady in a blue shirt with what looks like red longer hair with a very pasty face says she is the manager. I politely told her what happened. She then slammed the window in my face and rolled her eyes at me my second time going back. I ordered two pies again. I get to the second window and it is the same lady who said that she was the manager last time. Again rolls her eyes and slams the window in my face for no other reason than to have an attitude. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 12 1/2 year, so I immediately called up there to get her name because I did not get it she slammed the window in my face so fast. She refuses to give me her name on the phone so I asked her who the highest manager was there, and she would not properly pronounce the name for the life of her. You could definitely tell this girl was giving me the runaround and hated her job.

Food was mid. They got my order right and it was temperate, but the rest of my table did not get their orders right. F-tier service; very slow and plenty of employees playing, chatting, and eating in the kitchen, ignoring customers. No free refills, no free water, no free sauces. Also, they closed down one of the drive thru lanes. Do not go to this McDonald's. Force the location to clean up their act before supporting them.

After a very long day of work, I didn't feel up to cooking for my family so I made the mistake of stopping here. They completely forgot one of our large fries and then I got this measly medium fry, mind you I haven't had a chance to eat all day nor do I feel like returning to retrieve the missing fries.

I went through the drive through and used my app and gave them the code which was for a free medium fry with the purchase of a drink I purchased the drink along with a cheeseburger when I got to the window the fries were missing and I was told you weren't rung up for that and I explained that I used my code and they were free well you won't run up for that I will not be going back

Bought the fish combo, the fish tasted like it was fried in burnt or old grease, fries were fresh but mostly crumbs , when I pulled up to get out of my truck guy coming from park next door selling drugs to people coming thru the lot lol worse than granite City on Madison Ave

Went with my husband and had a decent experience. Came back with the whole family and it was a mess. Our server had a larger group across the room and focused on them most of the time. We sat for about 15 minutes before the manager came and got our drink order to start off with. After we finally got our orders placed most of the food was relatively fast. We were all served except one of the kids who say and waited almost 10 minutes for their food. She had a BLT so we weren't sure what the hold up was considering most of us had bacon and toast. My husband's egg whites were still runny so he wasn't that happy. We will try again, but not a great experience.

I hadn't eaten at Frank's since they had moved to Alton. I had iced tea, the spinach, mushroom, tomato omelet with hash browns & one of their biscuits. I enjoyed my omelet & hash browns but the biscuit could have been a lot better. It was quite dry. The waitresses were attentive. The restaurant was busy but the food didn't take too long. If I go for breakfast again I probably would just get toast. I added the hash browns so they were an extra $1.99. I would go back for lunch sometime.

Hubby and I went for breakfast. I tried the California Skillet (new menu item). HUGE serving and so delicious! Crispy potatoes and bacon, lots of spinach, yummy sauce. Good coffee, friendly quick service, interesting decor. It's the same great Frank's in a great new location.

Mediocre diner in north Alton. The pictured chicken parmesan was made with cut up chicken tenders!!! Salads are just bagged iceberg lettuce mix. Service was okay but not very attentive considering how slow it was while I was dining.

Had a delicious breakfast here again. Service was fast and friendly. All kinds of specials going on.

For some odd reason, I am a fan of Fried Clam Strips. I don't know how I got hooked on them, but when I see them on a menu, I gotta have them. Lucky for me, you don't see them offered at that many places. I drive by this Captain D's everyday. It's hard for me to go anywhere without passing by. It never occurred to me, that they'd have Fried Clams. Then one day as I was driving by, there it was on their marquee, "Fried Clams". I was domed, it was lunchtime, so I pulled into the parking lot. When I got inside, I saw a sign offering clams only as a side. I asked the young man working the counter if they had it as a meal. He replied, "yes". So, I ordered a combo with fries and slaw. It also came with, two Hush Puppies. It satisfied my clam strip craving, but it was rather flavorless. The Hush Puppies had the best flavor of all the items and the Cole Slaw was totally bland. If I return, I think I'll just order their fish fillets. I will say, the staff was friendly and professional. The young man was very patient assisting a senior lady with her purchase. He answered all her questions in a very pleasant tone.

Check your orders before driving off. Husband ordered 2 meals. Charged $28.39. Discovered when he got home that he was charged for both but was only given one meal. Tried to call them 3 times. Recording said the number was not available at this time, try to call back later. He returned to Captain Dee's with the one meal and receipt. The manager was nice and instructed 2 fresh meals made. He received two new meals, but did not look at what was in them until he got back home. Both meals were incorrect. He ordered mac & cheese and broccoli for my sides. Instead of broccoli, mine had green beans. Since it is Lent, I refrain from meat on Fridays. Their green beans had sausage in it. He ordered a meal that was supposed to have 2 crab cakes in it. Instead of crab cakes he received a chicken strip. The receipt was clear what was ordered. The manager kept the receipt or I would post a photo of it. We went ahead and ate our meals. It wasn't worth the time and gas to go back again.

Tried ordering but guy taking order at drive-thru kept hacking up lungs and coughing, tried asking about substituting because I’m allergic to something in my order, they refused saying I could just throw that away. So I’m paying for something I’m deathly allergic to and just throwing it away which is also throwing money away. I left avoiding getting very ill from whatever that person had that was coughing up their lungs everywhere. Don’t go here, you’ll risk getting very sick. Why they have someone this ill working with food makes no sense.

Captain D's must be serving a cheaper fish! A couple of weeks ago we ordered our favorite batter dipped fish. It was dark and had a very mushy texture! I thought that they must have given us catfish instead of what we ordered. Last night we tried it again and I even made a point of saying that I did not want catfish. Well, what we got was dark, mushy fish again. I could hardly choke it down. Unless they start serving a whiter, flakier fish, I am done with Captain D's.

Went there last Saturday and ordered two catfish dinners had to wait in line for at least 20 minutes left went home called them after being home for 5 minutes to make a complaint that the fish had a foul taste as if it was a bad batch of fish I believe that it was expired meat and I was told by the shift manager that they can't do any refunds after 25 minutes well first off I sat in the line for 20 minutes and it took me 7 minutes to get home to realize and eat it to see it was a bad batch. Then she told me I would have to wait for the manager to come back after her surgery which could be weeks. I called corporate left a voicemail the same day still have not heard anything. Be careful when buying fish from them.

We were there around 11 am. No one in sight at the front. We asked loudly if anyone is here 3 times no one answered. A worker walked in and told Jacob there is customers out in the lobby. He said I know. Food was good but the service wasn't the greatest. Also no tatar sauce in the dining area

The wait was much longer than usual. When I requested a complimentary small drink, it was declined and thecmanager couldn't make herself available.

Lovett is a Soul Food place in Alton, IL. I had looked forward to visiting for so long. The menu on Facebook look so inviting but yet so disappointing 😞! Before entering there was either a BAD SPILL or Vomit 🤢 🤕 right at the entrence. That should have been a red flag. We went in and was kindly greeted. It was open seating. But oh boy, this restaurant is so old and out dated. It used to be a tavern that needs lots of love ❤️. The booths are the original booths and the seats are torn and worn. They tried some repair with grey tape, but it has seen its days. The mop and bucket is in the aisle near the bathrooms and the broom was setting at a table across from us. The carpet was SO OLD AND WORN 🔥 IT WAS BLACK AND STICKY. ⚫️ 😳!! I ordered HOT WINGS which tasted like hot sauce and honey. A second order was Buffalo Fish. Presentation was nice, but the fish didn't cook long enough. It was too soft for fish. In the middle of eating, the owner came and ask us to pay now because she had to leave to pick her grandchild up. Another person had called in an order and it was ready. Another person came in and claimed the order. When the right person came to pick-up, she told him that somebody already picked the order up. He asked her if she checked the name, "she said no" her nephew checks names. I felt sorry for the call in customer. I dont know how the establishment got a grade to stay open. It is HORRIBLE!!!

The people that worked there were polite. I waited 20 min for the food which would've been fine, but the food was 2 thumbs👎🏾down. $30 for an over cooked pork chop with a lot of store bought canned or jar gravy and no onions. Small portion of over cooked okra. Beyond fried hard. The okra was just batter. Small portion of macaroni. I absolutely love macaroni but this was so awful the fork stood up in it. And the Macaroni has a lot of sugar in it. Had to ask for a fork that wasn't even in a wrapper. SMH! This definitely was not soul food. I had to dispose of it and go to McDonald's. Never again

The server was attentive. The food was good. We were a party of 3. Protein Fish, rib tips and turkey tips. Sides greens, spaghetti, sweet potatoes,cold slaw,okra,fries and Mac and Cheese.. Everyone uses seasoning different. The turkey tips were not what I expected in 606 the are chopped like tips, but again this is how it's done there. We will go back again when in the area. The server and the kitchen staff knew there customers. Someone traveled 2 hours to get food from Lovett's another man told of his dietary restrictions and they adapted. Well Done ✅

Very disappointed! I don’t know how a 4pc dark turn into 2 drumstick and 2 BREAST. Never seen pieces of chicken this big in my life! Then they sweated out and got soggy with about 7fries in the box. 👎🏾 Went to trash!

I had a bad experience I got over charged and Mary sold me swai instead of catfish and when I told her it’s 12 dollars for a catfish plate with sides she said where did I see that the menu is at the bar so I showed her she acted like she couldn’t see it and told me my plate cost so much because my catfish was 9 inches and it’s not even catfish and I paid 23 dollars for something I didn’t order I’m 4months pregnant and very upset and I even told her I was pregnant the greens look like glory greens my people are always making a bad name for us that’s why our business doesn’t last smmh

If you don't do anything else the rest of your life. You should try Snout with a side of fried pickles. If you don't know what snout is you'll just have to check it out! Food was delicious! Comming back again and again till I've had everything on the menu at least once.

Every sandwich or salad I’ve had here is huge and delicious! Made right in front of you with fresh ingredients. You can tell the employees care about the customers and are always friendly. Today I had the turkey sandwich but the picture doesn’t do it justice, I was only able to eat half the sandwich. There are daily specials. You won’t be disappointed!

Seriously the best chicken sandwich I’ve had. Super fresh ingredients, chicken was grilled and marinated to perfection. Bread was delicious and didn’t get soggy under the WILD portion size. Locally sourced soda and chips as well. Well worth the wait!

Hands down one of the best sandwich shops I’ve ever been to. The people there are incredibly friendly and nice. The sandwiches are some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s my go to lunch spot now.

So glad my barber recommended this place to me. I passed it a few times without knowing what flavors I was missing out on. Not only are the sandwiches better than any sub chain out there but the salads are made to order and stuffed full of fresh hand cut ingredients. In addition their Friday meal specials are fantastic. Smart partnerships with local bakeries means you can always get an excellent desert here too. Just writing this review has made me hungry for Sammi’s, so I’m going to go order something now.

Food was great! the braised beef was fire with provolon cheese and the al pastor street tacos with jalapenos added mmm. The ladies where so friendly and nice great conversation. Definitely, check this place out and give it a try. Very clean and welcoming. Will be back for another braised beef!

I ordered 2 large sandwiches and they were absolutely horrible. The bread was toasted to the point of being burnt. I could not stomach more than 2 bites.

5 ☆s all the way, in every category! I had the grilled chicken sandwich with the works and every bite was an dopamine high! I highly recommend this place, especially if you like to treat yourself to a slice of heaven 😊

Yesterday me and my mom went to Jack in the box and we waited for like an hour the Service was horrible our food was cold we. we well never go there again. The man said hang on a minute to take our order. So we waited and waited it was getting close to 5:00 o clock service was slow. Our food was really cold when we got it home like it was Frozen I nearly broke a tooth. When I took a bite. But we will never go there ever again.

My Girl Came Here On Her Lunch Break (45 minute lunch break) & they took over half of her break to get her her food. “Fast Food” is an overstatement for this place 👏🏻 if your trynna get food & get out quick DO NOT come here.. just go to Taco Bell bro. Trust.

Thank you so much for making me pull around front & wait for you to bring me a bag full of taco sauce but no damn tacos! I live 20 minutes away so couldn’t drive back & trying to call just gets me a recorded message! Terrible customer service!

Whoever they have working at does not know what theyre doing. Order said ready at 9:50 and waited in the drive thru for over an hour to get the food. There were 6-7 cars backed up to the street. And when you wait at their designated drive-thru waiting area, they tell you to go back to the drive-thru just to wait. Please have signs up posted saying drive-thru at night only.

Order a double cheese hamburger combo told her to leave the lettuce pickles onion off it. So when I got to the window I ask if it was going to have cheese on it she said no. Well I dont want two hamburger patties on a hamburger bun. The girl at the window says don't get smart with me and slammed the window in my face. Then when I got my food the fries were cold so was the hamburger. Why is it these people got to be rude?

We ordered two number twos with soda to drink, loaded wedges, and an egg roll... neither of us had eaten here before so we decided to try it!!! Horrible service from start to finish!!! The "lady" taking our order was rude and impatient, our sodas were flat and watered down, the burgers were extremely soggy, with old, shriveled tomatoes and wilted lettuce!!! The egg roll wasn't bad and neither were the wedges...

Always a long wait and half the time there’s some issue like they’re “only taking exact change”, or “their system is down” or their shake machine is down. It’s frustrating when you take the time and gas money out of your day to go there then have to deal with that nonsense. I also cant believe they’re one of like 3 restaurants that actually stay open late in the Alton area, if another, better restaurant option came to Alton, they could steal all their customers I bet
