American restaurant
Wedding venue
Richards Farm Restaurant offers a taste of homestyle American cuisine in a charming setting, housed in a restored 1930s barn adorned with vintage farm tools. The menu features hearty specialties such as fried catfish, steak, and a substantial 1-pound pork chop. The restaurant is also home to the World's Largest Pitchfork, paying homage to the local agricultural community.
Way off the grid, great restaurant. I had a delicious chicken with rice in a cheese sauce. The dish was perfect, no additional seasoning needed. I'd eat here on a regular basis if it wasn't about 500 miles from my home.
Brenchley — Google review
This gem is located in Casey, Illinois, on a functioning farm. Upon your arrival, perhaps as a recommendation from a local, hotel services, or just to see the largest pitchfork, etc., you notice a garden off to the side. A sign greets and welcomes you to stroll through. A step back in time, a small, yet beautiful garden with a pond, a sitting area. But as you follow the path, past the garden and tool sheds, it leads you around the property, opening up and unveiling the chickens, goat, and sheep that call this place home. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere is farm/stable structure with many antiques, decor, and scenery of country living. Our server was wonderful and helpful with recommendations. Appetizers are very filling. Generous portions. We definitely needed to go boxes. Burgers and salmon are wonderful options here. And the serving sizes are Generous. There is a salad bar, as well as a soup and bread station, should you choose those. I highly recommend coming here if youre passing through, visiting Casey or any local town.
Lorelei E — Google review
Enjoying the hot bar in 2025 was a treat, it takes me back to the good old days. The salad bar was well stocked, the ham bean soup and potatoe soup were perfect. Bread was soft and fresh. The hot bar was absolutely perfect for a big lunch. The chicken is fried and delicious, and the meatloaf is sweet and tangy. I could eat an entire plate of the whipped mashed potatoes. The atmosphere is classic and the music reminded me of my grandparents. If you're heading from Indy to St. Louis, check out Casey and grab lunch here before hitting the road.
R C — Google review
I was a little skeptical when I picked it. I come from the midwest, and barn style restaurants can be hit or miss. Richards was fabulous. Decorated in a loaded way, but not in your face. It's to be expected from a barn. The food was fabulous. I had the salmon, and it was delightful. The broccoli had a nice balance of broccoli and butter flavors. The ice cream had a distinct taste that did not feel like traditional vanilla. Totally worth a stop if driving through the area.
Dylan C — Google review
Richards Farm is a legendary restaurant in an historic dairy barn. The Sunday Brunch Buffet is fantastic! Highly recommended!
Mark S — Google review
We helped our friends celebrate their 65th anniversary. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The atmosphere is casual and barn oriented.
Charles L — Google review
Nice place to stop. Good food. Plenty of places to park our camper van. Our service was super sweet.
Born R — Google review
The place is absolutely adorable and came highly recommended. However, we were very disappointed. The appetizers were goid, but the food wasn't. It came out luke warm, and the portion sizes were way too small for the prices. It was so bad that we didn't even take pics. 2 stars for the apps, at least. Dessert was a bust, not worth it at all.

Casey Coffee Shop is a gem! The cozy, warm atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to relax or have a good conversation. It has that inviting small-town vibe that makes you feel right at home. My wife and I tried the coffee flight, and it was such a fun experience to share. Every cup was delicious and thoughtfully prepared. We’ll definitely be back for more!

Wonderful little coffee shop, a nice stop for breakfast after a long drive. Would absolutely recommend, and am kinda sad we're not locals!
Kim D — Google review
I meant to leave a review when we visited in 2024. Better late than never, I suppose! Perhaps it's a good sign, but our kids still talk about this place. Great drinks, great atmosphere. If we're ever in the area again, we'll be back.

Had to visit this spot with my last name being Casey! We spend about 3 hours here - sipping coffee, reading, working, and enjoying the ambiance and atmosphere. The staff was super kind and awesome. We had the chocolate croissant, espresso (multiple shots), cortado, and an iced caramel latte with cold foam on top - AMAZING! My wife and her sister tried the açaí flight and loved it! Also, the staff made an extra bonfire chai and gave it to us! Super delicious and sweet! Very clean and nice place! Thank you for a great experience!
Michael C — Google review
Gorgeous, eclectic and quaint coffee shop! So welcoming and comfy. Variety of coffee, juices and pastries to choose from. Staff was very friendly. I love that the tables have some games on them, such as jenga. They have a nook with kids toys as well. Definitely stop in while looking at the big things in this small town! Loved it!

Had the Refresher (with splash of coconut milk and fresh fruit) on a hot day in Casey, and it was perfect! Loved the industrial vibe and cool furnishings. Baristas were friendly and knowledgeable. Top-notch coffee shop!

This charming spot not only offers quality beverages but also boasts a warm atmosphere and friendly service. Great little coffee shop. I ordered a breva macchiato. It was one of the smoothest macchiatos I've had. The espresso was perfectly pulled. When you're in Casey, IL and checking out the "Big Things" stop by for a cup of coffee or a smoothie.
David M — Google review
My sister and I were exploring Casey and a lot of the businesses had closed, but luckily this cute little coffee shop was still open. My sister and I both got some flavored iced coffees with oatmilk. Mine (left) was almond, and hers (right) was blackberry lavender. They were so great, but we both REALLY recommend the almond. I can't even tell you how good it was haha. We are from Michigan, but if we are ever in the area, we are coming back for it specifically haha. Lovely vibes here as well, we had a great time :)
Mindy — Google review
Stopped off our road trip, and got some great drinks that far exceeded anything I could’ve expected! Great little place nice atmosphere and the staff were great. Gave us the extra too in a little cup.

The red eye chai is one of the best chais I have ever had in my life. I would recommend this to everyone.

3 times I've came here during (open) hours and they are always closed. Even the hours on the door are not there. See pic as of 04/16/25. Not a good way to run a business. I won't try again.
Brent R — Google review
Came to say hi to Dave and find the nearby geocache. Stayed for a cup of hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was delicious. Plus they were able to make it with almond milk for me. It's truly the best cup of hot chocolate I've had in a long time. Will definitely be back if we ever drive this way again.

The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, making it perfect for large groups or casual dining. We were so pleased to find this restaurant open on a Thursday afternoon. The building had a neat atmosphere. We all enjoyed our food, chips, and salsa. There is a nice photo op outside.

We had a great experience. Went in on a Sunday afternoon. This was one of the only things open on Sunday in Casey. Not many folks when we arrived, but it was getting busier as we left. Food came out quickly and tasted good. Chips and salsa were good. Service was friendly. Enjoyed our visit and would return again.

Ate a late lunch on our way to the city campground (review left for them). We were able to park our camper/tow vehicle on a street within a block’s distance. Large dining area, very friendly waiter. He took our order of fajitas and BBQ Ribs, first time I have seen ribs on a Mexican restaurant menu. Fajitas very good, ribs were a nice surprise, not quite enough to rate overall five for Food. Service was faster than expected for a ribs order. Will visit again when in Casey. Check out the Big Key next door.
H E — Google review
Litterally the best place to get Mexican food!!! We are newish regulars and usually get the bigger stuff on the menu to take home later! A little expensive but definitely worth it for the food! The people are amazing too!
Opossum ( — Google review
Service was excellent! They served the food very quickly, amazingly large portions and it was piping hot! Since we were starving, that was perfect and the food did not disappoint. Would definitely go back to try it again.
Lisa P — Google review
The restaurant was a bit empty as it was chilly outside, we were seated and waited for around 15 minutes prior to waiter attending us. The food was great as the service was a bit under manned. We ordered a variety to really capture the full flavors of the restaurant. We had a great experience and highly recommend the Taco Salad, shrimp chicken and steak cooked to perfection.
Benji — Google review
Drove over 2 hours just to give this place a try and we were beyond and pressed. We got seated quickly and didn't have to wait long for our food to come out. For the price the food was well portioned and delicious. Service was great. Will visit again in the future.

During my recent visit to Casey, I had the pleasure of dining at Reflections Family Restaurant, a charming eatery that captures the essence of home-cooked meals. Nestled in a historic building that once served as a bank and newspaper room, this quaint spot offers a cozy atmosphere with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. The menu features delightful options like their turkey club sandwich and open-faced breaded pork chop, both of which are sure to satisfy your cravings.
Great place for a great home cooked meal. The open faced breaded pork chop and Italian beef were very good. Very friendly and clean. They normally close at 1 so get there early. They have breakfast also!

Delicious food, made to order. Neat little town, with big attractions!
Rebecca D — Google review
Great food. Friendly staff. Casual diner set inside a historic building. We were told it used to be an old bank and newspaper room. So cool! French toast is good, hash browns cooked perfectly. Good coffin, cup always full. Highly recommend.
Laela C — Google review
The food is good. The servers are nice. Their hours are very inconsistent though which can be quite frustrating. You basically have to check their Facebook Page to see what the hours are or if they are open. And they do not have a lot of space now after opening gambling machines in the front so you may have to wait. Their Mexican food is better than the Mexican restaurant in town! Try the taco salad!
Heather H — Google review
Great customer service from the staff, great fresh food served hot and in a timely manner. I had the liver & onions one day & a western omlette on another visit, both were exceptional.

Pizza Takeout
Pizza Hut is a well-loved chain that offers a delightful mix of delivery, carry-out, and dine-in options. Known for its delicious pizzas, wings, and pasta dishes, it also features an array of sides and desserts to satisfy any craving. Guests often rave about the friendly service; one visitor highlighted the pleasant interaction with staff who provided helpful recommendations on portion sizes. The Meat Lovers Pan Pizza received high praise for its flavor and texture—many agree that pan pizza reigns supreme over thin crust!
The Meat Lovers Pan Pizza I got was pretty good. Pan is always better than thin crust. I liked the bread sticks too. Also has a claw machine game with some stuffed animals in there. Five stars! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
Michael K — Google review
If you want even a half decent experience, look elsewhere. This Pizza Hut has gone lengths unlike any I have seen to make sure their customers are unhappy. They have accused my pregnant girlfriend of lying about not receiving her order, when, in reality, the driver didn’t even deliver to the correct apartment(WHEN THE APARTMENT NUMBERS ARE ON THE DOORS) They put the smallest amount of sauce possible on their wings, they don’t even care to full cut their breadsticks and/or pizza, which is part of their job. I understand that I can cut my own, but when it is quite literally someone’s job and you are giving a finished product to a customer, you could at least not cut corners. This Pizza Hut is by far the worst Pizza Hut in 50 miles, and West T doesn’t even come close to as bad and that’s saying something. You guys could be and do so much better, but you hire people who don’t care and who berate customers instead of having actual customer service skills.
RaptorGonEatYou — Google review
Made an online order and said would be done in 23 minutes, but the app said 50 minutes. I called the store and she said they are behind it’s just her and the cook. I got to drive up and she said would be 10 minutes and handed me the receipt and had someone else’s name on it. I ask if this was mine was told. So I waited about 15 minutes and came back. Another lady gave me the pizza which was wrong, and gave my name and another woman ask what the issue was and her co-worker told her I got the wrong pizza and when she told her my name the other lady said it’s been sitting right here. I looked at food it seem to be right but when eating pizza we noticed either the dough was not correct or something. Was told 2 people were working but counted at least 5 people working. So do not why they were having issues.
Kevin C — Google review
Very friendly not over friendly but very nice young lady that made nice small talk would recommend eating here very clean place and she was honest and said its cheaper to get a large rather then the medium, I was going to order. Ill be honest probably one of the best i'm dying in experiences I've had in a while. You could tell that she enjoyed her job making harmless jokes like you better drink all that pepsi after i ask for a refill with my response, absolutely can't waste a good fountain, pepsi drink moral of the story, I just wish there was more of the younger generation I like this young lady.
Matthew T — Google review
Pizza undercooked. The waitress got puff when I told her the sweet tea was unsweetened. Once the food was delivered to our table, we never saw waitress again, until she brought the bill. Smiles expecting a good tip.
Cindy B — Google review
They never have your order ready, never know what’s going on….forget items and act clueless. Love Pizza Hut but this is by far the WORST location….really wish they would get new management or people who knew what they were doing.

La Hacienda is a hidden gem that you simply can't overlook while traveling through Kansas City. This delightful spot offers an impressive array of dishes catering to both meat lovers and vegetarians, ensuring everyone finds something to enjoy. The kitchen staff is accommodating, making it easy to customize your order. The friendly waitress adds a personal touch by serving refreshing drinks alongside complimentary chips and salsa.
Waiter, cook, host same person. Nice young man. Food was great. Had Burrito cheese steak. Wife had chicken chimichanga. Will return
Stephen K — Google review
To be honest it was the oddest Mexican food I've ever experienced. I had the chilies pablano and beef chimichanga. The pablano wasn't anything like what I'm used to. It wasn't coated with the egg white or actually stuffed. The cheese was under the pepper, egg was cooked separately with yolk and placed on top of the pepper. The beef inside the chimichanga had a hint of cinnamon in it. The rice tastes like long grain wild rice blend. Not what I expected at all. I'm a Mexican food addict and I cook lots of Mexican dishes at home. My husband makes the best chili pablano and chili relleno I've ever had in my life, normally our family dislikes his cooking lol. He had the pork carnasada dish, he says it's like a Mexican pot roast and he liked it. He did say he wished it came with sour cream and guacamole.
B M — Google review
I have traveled the world. I know good food. My wife and I enjoyed the food here. I was concerned about the service until I realized what was happening. The young man who waited on us was the waiter, the cook, the cashier, the bus boy and everything else. If you have ever been to Germany this is very common. Usually there it is a husband and wife team. If you have ever served / waited tables then you will understand what a monumental task this young man is doing. Sure, the service was slower but he had 5 tables when we got there. You have to give this kid credit. His family is just trying to make a good living like everyone else. And you know what, the food was great both times we went there.
Joseph K — Google review
Love mexican food but this place was horrific. Tables have food all on sides. Chips were stale. Even the to go box had some kind of old brown grease all on it. On top of that, they over charged us then got attitude once we asked why it was so high. Just moved here, will never go back to this place. I'll drive to Charleston.
Rock N — Google review
Never again will I bring my family here... The tables had food encrusted on the sides, the tea was gross the kids recieved straight carbonated water instead of sprites and the chips and queso were very clearly stale.the to go boxes were covered in a greasy oil all over. It was over priced and underqualified... We will never go there again... They need the health inspector to come through.... Never have i felt that i needed a shower after leaving a resteraunt. Wish i could give a 0. The pictures are so inaccurate of this place too... Never would i bash a place for having issues here and there but this place was a disaster and it literally is food poisoning waiting to happen....
Faith N — Google review
Went here with my kids and parents and we had a very disturbing experience. First off, there were flies all around us so we spent the lunch waving them off. They use a greasy bitter white cheese on everything including their Mac and cheese. My daughter found strips of plastic in her Mac and cheese. The bathrooms... The girls toilet wouldn't flush and the boys was very clogged and messy. We were the only ones in the restaurant and now we know why. I will never go back and feel like I just wasted money on a tummy ache. Thanks for nothing La Hacienda.... U don't even deserve 1star.
Tiffane S — Google review
CAN'T BEAT THE PRICE! This was a special find in the middle of our travel onto Kansas City. The food was good, great entrée selections for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. The kitchen staff was flexible w our order. Our waitress was polite and friendly w our drinks and serving our chips and salsa. Surprisingly cheap lunch specials aprox. $7/plate for a ton of food satisfying 4 hungry adult males and a lady. Happy w our stop from someone with ridiculously high mexican food standards.
Keah D — Google review
Not overly happy with the food. It tasted OK but the meal I got was nothing like the description. When I questioned the waiter he said the substituted for what they had. Umm OK it was a little close to closing time but if your going to charge me full price all the items in the meal should be on my plate. I only substituted Chicken for the beef. I didn't get my Avacados l got guacamole..Yuck! No it's onions no peppers. I did get my refried beans and rice chicken and tortells . Did they charge me the full price for the all the Goods and steak...Yep... Steve Taco Fajitas was good but very small portioned. Service was good but a bit pricey for what we got so we probably won't be back anytime soon.

My recent visit was nothing short of exceptional; the staff demonstrated impressive sandwich-making skills, ensuring every ingredient was perfectly balanced. The atmosphere was inviting, with clean booths that provided a cozy retreat from the dreary weather outside. One standout employee, Ms.
Best subway I have had in a long time and Kenzie was awesome she made my sandwich perfect need more like her

My food is always pretty good here and I like that they carry Miss Vickie’s chips. Sometimes you wait forever for the drive through person though even when it appears they aren’t busy. There have been several times I’ve drove off after waiting 15-20 minutes of waiting to place my order with no one in front or behind me. It may just be short staffing.

This subway was a lovely escape on a gloomy rainy day. The restaurant was clean and had lots of comfortable booths. Our sandwich artist was friendly, helpful, and efficient. I've gotten wraps from Subway many times and the one she made was beautiful. Didn't catch her name but she had a beetle tattoo and I nominate her a wrapper of the year!

I have a true allergy to Banana peppers and Jalapeños and Ms Kelsie went above a beyond to make sure that NO trace was on my glatbread meatball. I APPRECIATE that and gave a tip because of her. Thank you for having a compassionate worker to accommodate me so much throat doesn't close up because I drive something up to 80k pds and on 18wheels. Thank you Ms Kelsie! I sincerely appreciate you.

I suggest yall hire some help quick! I came in today to see a young gal working so hard she was about ready to break down and quit due to all the business coming in and her having to deal with it all alone. By the time she got to my order she had tears streaming down her face constantly wiping them so she could work. Despite all the business coming in she did a great job with my order but it still makes me feel sorry for her knowing she had to deal with it all alone. Please get some help!

Upon visiting, we were met with condescension from the manager, or so I assume, which was profoundly distasteful and started the dining experience off poorly. Luckily, the two staff members working on the line were pleasant and made up for her grotesque attitude.

Great people ready to help and make a great sandwich Evan helped with a treat for my dog THX

Probably the best subway experience I've ever had in my entire life. The sandwiches were all perfect. No skimping of any product but also not overwhelming. It was like everyone in there knew how to make a sandwich and it was great. They were sure to mark all of our meals so we knew which was which when we got to the car as this was a quick stop on our travels. All the employees were all very polite.

Mexican restaurant
Luna's Mexican Bistro offers a delightful dining experience with its authentic and freshly made Mexican food. The off-menu specials are both interesting and flavorful, adding an element of surprise to each visit. The tacos, regardless of the filling, are outstanding and come with fresh avocado and guacamole sauce. The service is impeccable, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel right at home.
We just ate lunch here this afternoon. Super yummy food. However, the experience was made extra special by the service. What a sweet gentleman. He reminded my youngest daughter of her recently deceased grandfather and was so warm and welcoming that she even sneaked in a couple of hug. Hands down the best dining experience. We will be back on our next trip through! Thank you so much!

Authentic Mexican Food. Made fresh and has off the menu specials that change frequently and are interesting and favorful. Tacos regardless of choice of filling are outstanding and served with fresh avocado and guacamole sauce. Highly recommend.

I would like to eat here everyday. So fresh. Great chef and owners. Impeccable service, great attitudes happy people. American and authentic mexican food I couldn't stop eating the fresh salsa and guacamole. I highly recommend luna's.

From the chips and salsa to our meals, everything was prepared fresh and was delicious. My drink was the Aqua De Jamaica, which was awesome. Cannot say enough good about this establishment.
JRob — Google review
Pleasant atmosphere and staff. The food was tasty. The salsa is not free but the quality of it makes it worth it. Portions are smaller than average but very well suited to the prices.

The best Mexican food I have ever had. Delicious pork quesadillas and salsa like no other. No better service anywhere either.

Not authentic Mexican food. Pleasant staff. Very limited menu options. They were out of several food items.

Hamburger restaurant
Nestled in the charming town of Casey, Burger Shack is a no-frills haven for burger enthusiasts. This walk-up eatery offers a delightful selection of hearty burgers that are sure to satisfy your cravings. While there’s no indoor seating, patrons can enjoy their meals at picnic tables outside, making it a casual spot to soak up the local atmosphere. The service is efficient, even during busy times when lines may form.
One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. We aren’t talking fancy garlic aioli, bacon jam and artisanal buns, this is the real deal smashed griddle burger. Cooked perfectly, the toppings were fresh and the price perfect. Not too greasy. There is covered outdoor seating and plenty of parking. Sometimes I still daydream about that burger.

Me and My Step-Mom got some a few months ago. I still remember the fresh hot hamburgers and it was blazing hot. Burnt my fingers. Was it worth it? Yeah! My Step-Mom, said it was very great and they did a excellent job.

A walk-up and order place, the Burger Shack in Casey serves some pretty good burgers. Some outdoor seating is available. I had a cheeseburger & bowl of chili, and everything was good. Though a long line forms at times (to place orders), the Burger Shack crew does a good job handing the orders. Highly recommended for Burger lovers.

The burger was good and well prepared. I got the double (smash) cheeseburger. The chili was not so good and tasted like spaghetti-os, so skip that. Very affordable. Love the island vibes! 🦩🌴

This was the first time I've ever gone and I live in the area which is ridiculously silly... I chose a bacon double cheeseburger with the works and chili cheese fries both of which were really good will definitely go back!
Kris H — Google review
Great burgers, good shade and friendly people. Order at least a double bc they are small but so tasty! They even gave my dogs a free “pup patty” which was very appreciated. Only drawback was no bathroom, which isn’t so great if you’ve been on the road all day.
Sara-Mai C — Google review
Food was delicious and fair priced. Staff was friendly and food was cooked quick. Would recommend to others.
Derrek L — Google review
Our family stopped here for lunch in July of 2021 and we were pleasantly surprised. The burgers were pretty good and the service was decent as well. We did have to eat outside at picnic tables, as there is no indoor seating, which was not fun in the heat. But it was an otherwise good experience. We enjoyed the little town of Casey, lots of fun photo ops.
