Where to eat: the 50 best restaurants in Charles Town

It's a beautiful restaurant. Today, November 11th, we arrived there around 3 pm. I think the regular server was not there cause the lady served us, didn't act like one. Gave us a vibe that we are not welcome. Very unprofessional and rude. Though we ordered food to eat there, after 40 minutes, when she started bringing food, we asked for to go boxes, wrapped up, paid and left. Lost our appetite. The food was OK.

Staff is very professional. The ambiance is good. Food is generally good, but the beef is tough for us. We like their cab dip. Oh, they turkish coffee is so good. They gave us one free appetizer, Pita and hummus, when we came in.

The food is very good. The atmosphere was great. The wait staff were not very attentive unfortunately. They were nice but they did not refill our drinks one time.

This doesn't look like much from the outside- but worth the trip inside! My first Persian meal & I 😍 it! The meal started with free pita bread with shiraza salad, feta & dip. My meal of shrimp kebabs was fantastic. My hubby had the Veal Parm & said it was excellent too. Fantastic desserts ranging from baklava to tiramasu & lemoncello cake. Highly recommend!

The food was SOOO good! Was definitely worth driving for! The lamb was so tender and juicy!!! The service was quick and the prices were very friendly! Loved everything about our experience and will definitely be back next time we’re in WV!

Wow, we were so impressed! We stumbled on this place by accident and couldn't be happier! The ambiance was very eclectic and homey. And, they had a young person playing guitar and singing on a Tuesday evening which was unexpected. The menu was very diverse, with Persian, Italian, Spanish and Moroccan. We had a few appetizers and main dishes and everything was extremely good. They even had Turkish coffee. The entire staff was so nice. Overall it was a GREAT meal and a wonderful unexpected experience. We will definitely come back!

The service is AMAZING. Young people, SUPER friendly and helpful with selection!!! It was our first time, so we got the meat platter, LOTS of food!!! The steak wasn't very edible though, very tough. The chicken was so tender!!! Desserts were fun and delicious! There was even live music! It was pretty pricy, in my opinion. But I'm not familiar with "fine dining" like this. $150+ for 5 people. But the experience was worth it.

This high end steak house has costumes from many movie classics displayed. The booths are very comfortable. The service is excellent. We did visit fairly early on a weekday, so I’m not sure how crowded they get on weekends. While the prices are high, we did expect to pay top dollar for a nicely prepared filet. The salmon was also good along with the Brussel sprouts and loaded baked potato. Everything was delicious. To top off the dinner they graciously gave me for my birthday a beautiful chocolate layered cake with fruit and ice cream. It was fabulous! The meal, service and atmosphere were excellent. Definitely worth it.

Overall a nice dining experience. I was hoping for a little bit more though as a higher end steakhouse. Our server was great, though she clearly had too many tables to be able to provide over the top service ( she truly seemed like she wanted us to enjoy our meal) Service opportunities: food timing - mson course was on the heels of our salad, slow to refill water and check on drinks. Food seemed a little salty. Our salad was served with a chilled fork which was a nice touch. We were in a booth so seating was comfortable. Tables for two looked tight. I think the restaurant is very overrated. My boyfriend and I have spent $200+ at other luxury steakhouses and this one was a huge let down considering it’s in our hometown. The service was good, but the food was awful. He said his steak was very dry and my own smelled horrible. I had gotten the herb butter with mine so maybe that’s why it smelled and tasted the way it did. I hadn’t expected herb butter to make my steak smell and taste like sweaty socks. Their grazing board was OK but very underwhelming, the crispy pork belly was also very dry and under flavored. Again, the service was great. Atmosphere was OK, we got seated at a small table instead of a booth, which may have been an option when we made our reservations but was disappointing as well.

Made reservations well in advance, as we were a large group who had bought tickets to see Queen. Should have known something was up when at 4 pm they sent a text and called to verify our reservations. It turns out the concert was cancelled oh well we were there and we wanted to check out the steak house. The atmosphere was okay kind of loud for a steak house that wants to have an upscale feel. The service was awesome, very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, wines, and cocktails. On to the food....Horrible is the word that comes to mind. I ordered the 16-ounce ribeye medium rare. I should have known that the steak was going to be bad when there were no juices on the plate. Talk about a dry, flavorless piece of meat. Not even a hit of salt and pepper and no juices at all. Now add in the loaded baked potato, which was a $12 addition, dry and unseasoned , their idea of "loaded" was a scope of sour cream, some butter, a few bacon bits, and chives. I don't mind spending money on a good meal, but $75 for a dry steak and baked potato was just too much. I will not be going back nor will I ever recommend to anyone. Very disappointed.

We had an excellent dinner here. I want to highlight Anthony the front end manager was excellent! He even stopped over to see how everything was going after we were squeezed in last minute. Visiting from NYC area, Anthony impressed us with his hospitality. Looking forward to our next trip here!

Our food was freshly prepared and tasted great! The server and chef helped make sure everything was prepared in a safe and clean manner to accommodate my food allergies.

We made a reservation for dinner and upon arrival the staff said the restaurant was closed for a private party and seated us outside the restaurant on a raised landing among the casino games… it was loud and cold…. The steak was OK at best and was cold very quickly. The whipped potatoes were very thin with minimal flavor. Unfortunately we had a poor experience for a $165 meal for two… I would have to think twice before trying it again.

The food and service were good. I will return in the future. A small establishment with a long bar. Call before you go and make sure they are up to date if you're looking for a glass of wine with your meal.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner and it was DELICIOUS! I am a huge fan of Thai food and this did not disappoint. Honestly probably some of the best spring rolls I have ever eaten: so crispy! I agree with some of the other reviews that the pad thai could be a bit spicier but it was still phenomenal. We also got the pad see ew and mango sticky rice, both of which were fantastic. The restaurant decor was adorable as well. If I am ever back in the area, I will definitely come here again!

The first great Asian Fusion restaurant in Charles Town. This is very well the best restaurant in town. The decor was great, the atmosphere upbeat, busy and very trendy. We were greeted right away and seated. Service was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. The food was absolutely wonderful. Wonderful blend of flavors blended to create a fantastic food experience. The portions may actually be too large. They could maintain their pricing, limit their portions and still have their rating. The herbs were fresh. We had the Moo Yang, a grilled Thai style marinated pork loin served with green papaya salad, jasmine rice and Thai style sweet chili sauce. I have never had a better pork loin anywhere. It had the presentation of a steak and was perfect cooked, served hot and had a perfect searing on the outside while very moist and tasty. Beef dumpling for appetizer that tasted great and the sauce was wonderfully complimentary of the dumplings. Bangkok beef stir fry, with a hint of fresh ginger. Tasted great! I highly suggest you add this to your places to try! Update: Still great food quality and price.

The food at this place was good, and the overall service was okay. Everything was just okay. While we had a decent experience, there wasn't anything particularly outstanding that would make me want to return. It was an average dining experience, but not one that left a lasting impression.

Enjoyed a wonderful lunch here with my son. We were treated to complimentary spring rolls which were divine. We also shared the KaNomJeeb Todd as an appetizer (delicious)! I had one of the daily specials, the Massaman Curry and my son had the Pad Mama with beef tenderloin. All was exceptional as was the very attentive service. The atmosphere was delightful as well and a bit quiet as we arrived early for lunch. I would consider this Thai restaurant to be one of the best (if not the best) I've ever visited. I used to love the Thai Room on Connecticut Avenue which sadly closed many years ago and it seems I'm always searching for another good Thai restaurant. I only wish this were closer to my home in Alexandria, Virginia!

I have eaten at a lot of Thai places and this is hands down for absolute favorite. The food is to die for every time. The staff is friendly and efficient. I highly recommend this place. I have never gotten anything from here that I haven't loved. The drunken noodles and PA Nang Curry are amazing.

They’re currently closed for dine-in due to staffing issues, but they accommodated us when we called. Food is a tad overpriced, not the best Thai food we’ve eaten. The milk tea was good.

Had a good experience here. The food was top notch, the food was delicious and you could tell everything was made with fresh ingredients. Our waitress Rachel was wonderful, very friendly and attentive. The decor was beautiful.

Great place to eat. Very good food and it's right inside the casino. I had the wonton and noodle soup. After some touching up, it was very good.

9dragons This was our first visit to 9 Dragon - the atmosphere was very pleasant , there was no wait & no reservation Needed . We were seated within 3-5 minutes . It was a first time experience so we were inquisitive as to the little tea kettle they brought out , our server Jini , appeared to be caught off guard when we asked questions about the tea - even “after” advising her that this was our first time there. We’re from Louisiana. I ordered Kung Pao Chicken extra spicy , my daughter ordered Kung Pao Chicken regular substitute Broccoli for peanuts due to allergy . Her order came out with Broccoli NO peanuts which was perfect mines came out NO peanuts & Not spicy at all. So when we addressed Joni that it was incorrect ; again she seemed to be irritated - I’m not sure if it was b/c we initially were seated upfront & asked to be moved to the back & she wasn’t wanting any more guests . The food taste & quality was good . At the end it appeared Jini may have just had a long shift & it was ending but overall she was a good server - just know that her irritation shows to her guests .

Just went on July 7th and had an amazing waitress. I had the beef lomein and it was delicious. Mongolian beef was fresh and tasty. A little heavy on oil for both my meal and my hubby. Dumplings were nice, but plating was basic dumplings in a steamer.

First the service was VERY slow, we only saw one waitress taking orders. When we finally got the General Tso chicken it was luke was and many very small pieces. The portion was no where worth the price either. We would have left after the long wait from the start however it was unfortunately the only restraunt opened.

First time at 9 Dragons for a friend's birthday party. Reservations recommended. Food was delicious 😋 lots of options, plentiful portions, spacios dining are with a bar and lots of tvs. Hot tea served at the table, and decent drink menu...they were just ok on taste but pretty.. good dessert choices. Service was top notch. They even took her cake, sliced it perfectly (they had one of the chef's do it as it was triple layer & needed to be cut a certain way) as well as served it to us. Will definitely be back! Tip..they are only open for dinner but stay open until 1 am Friday and Saturday nights.

We have never had a bad meal here ever!! Food is phenomenal! Atmosphere and service are wonderful and dining credits always pay for our meal. It doesn't get any better than that!! Much cheaper than steakhouse.

This was my first time going to Mountain View Diner. The food was regular American food. It felt like sitting at your mama's table. The diner was clean and neat. But the best of all was the staff. They were friendly, quick, made you smile, & talked to you like you were their neighbor. We will be coming back.

My wife and I visited this diner after exploring Harper's Ferry, and maybe we visited during plumbing service because the dining area smelled of raw sewage. The food tasted like the smell and couldn't enjoy it. On our 2nd visit, we sat on opposite sides of the dining area, and it smelled like normal diner. The meal was unremarkable, and so were the service. Money these days hard earned and felt like these 2 trips to this diner was a waste of financial resources. There are better eatery for the same price if not cheaper all around this diner.

WE WERE SERVED GREEN AND GREY MEAT! More details: Walking in, there was an odd smell right at the counter. Like old dishwater, but more? Idk. Should've been a red flag, but we persisted. The booths were ripped up too, but could be a sign of high use due great food. The prices are outrageous, but I figured the food would just be really good. Dive places can be amazing!! Unfortunately, this one was TERRIBLE. Everything but the fries were questionable. We were legitimately served meat that was grey and green inside an Italian sandwich. The "famous" French toast was chewy as all get out. The pancakes were ok, but honestly we were scared to eat more after the meat issue. The waitress was nice, which is the only positive thing to say about the place. The photo is of a "tree" in the women's restroom. Classic.

Ok, so I’ve driven by this place for a long time. It’s always packed, so I’m assuming it must be great. The reviews seem good, so I take the plunge and go for it. I was seated very promptly and greeted very friendly. Now to the food. According to the breakfast menu the French toast is their specialty dish. The picture looked like a delicious meal. The young lady that took my order was very polite and there was no wait. Within minutes my meal was served. Looked good but NOTHING like the menu photo, so this leads me to believe they used stock photos. Ok. I’ll cut them a break, no big deal. The syrup bottles could have been warm, but ok, the bacon not crispy but it was nice and fresh. So I take the first bite out of the French Toast and I’m not impressed, so I cut into it for another bite and to my disappointment, there was barely any egg batter whatsoever. A nice French Toast is soaked in batter then cooked. The only thing that was close to French if anything was the French bread they used. It was just a sliced bread did a quick drive-by, by the egg batter. No much flavor but butter and that was it. Talking about butter (or margarine here) there was enough for the entire row of people near me. I brought this to their attention and the lady was extremely apologetic and offered me if I wanted to order something else. I politely declined as this was their specialty item and it was so disappointing, didn’t want to imagine the average dish quality. I offered to pay for the bacon (I ate a strip while waiting) and the beverage. She refused to charge me even after I insisted so I could include a tip as I told her I had no cash. She thanked me for stopping by, while also apologized for dish. There is no way that the amount of people that it’s always at the establishment like bad food or maybe a local thing as there aren’t that many options. I really appreciate their customer service skills. That alone is hard to find nowadays.

I was very pleased with the huge variety of things to eat and the very friendly service and the wonderful environment. The only thing that I wasn't so satisfied or pleased about was the prices of the food on the menu but I was figuring out they were that price because it was right across from Hollywood Casino and race track where people probably have a lot of money to spend.

My sister and I were visiting Harper's Ferry from Delaware, and stopped here for breakfast yesterday. When we walked in, we were very warmly greeted by the hostess, who led us to our table. The waitress we had was very kind, her friendliness and mood made the experience all the better. She was very patient and understanding when it came to us taking a long time to decide. The food came out quickly, and was very tasty -- we both got Eggs Benedict, her with avocado and me with smoked salmon, both reasonably priced and very tasty. We also got the silver dollar pancakes (banana pecan), and were pleasantly surprised by the size of them. I would highly recommend this diner to anyone in-state and out-of-state! Great way to meet locals, too. NOTE: Bring your check to the front counter, don't wait for the waiter/waitress to collect your card, they don't seem to do payments at the tables. The only negative was the smell when we walked in -- it smells musty and old. However, we didn't smell it anymore after a few minutes. Not a deal breaker by far. There are other reviews that tell you not to trust the 4-star reviews, and that this place is horrible; I say trust the 4-star reviews. Unless you're going in expecting perfectly plated dishes with top of the line ingredients, this place is fantastic with great diner food and a large selection.

Generous portion sizes of tasty Italian food - try the lasagna for sure! Our group of 5 stopped in here for dinner on a busy Friday night in May 2025. There was a short, 10-15 minute wait as it was a peak time. Our server gave us a brief rundown of the menu and was friendly and helpful throughout. They have salad and garlic knots for the table to share as part of an entree purchase. My lasagna was terrific and the rest of our group enjoyed their meals as well.

Huge portions. The eggplant roletini is the best I've ever had. The them are so was tender and delicious. The garlic knots amazing! And the salad we ordered was so huge & full of vegetables. We had to bring most of it home!

The cafe is at a strip mall and from outside, it looks entirely unremarkable. Still, we went and gave it a try. A smart decision: The kitchen is excellent, the wine is decently priced and the service good. We enjoyed our evening and returned two days later for an encore. Absolutely recommended

!WARNING! If you can’t take the heat don’t dine here. Completely pissed off about my dining experience. The food and service was great but the humidity in this place is 10 times hotter than it is outside. Over 100 degrees in the restaurant, does an air conditioner exist in here? All customers look like they’re going to have a heat stroke. Considering this is a restaurant where you obviously COOK there needs to be air conditioning in this establishment, common sense!

My husband and I recently dined at Mi Degollado in Charles Town, and we were completely blown away! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, and authentically Mexican—it really set the tone for a fantastic experience. The service was top-notch: friendly, attentive, and efficient without being intrusive. We felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. Now the food—wow! Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, beautifully presented, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality. Mi Degollado has easily become one of our favorite spots in town. If you're craving delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine paired with a wonderful dining atmosphere and great service, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

On of the BEST family owned restaurants I have ever been to. SERIOUSLY GO HERE! Possibly the best Mexican food in West Virginia. Had the burrito fajita, everything was fresh. Came here as a group of 5 and everyone enjoyed their meals. Help out a local business and support this family, happy to talk with the family and shared our appreciation.

In my wife’s line of work, she often has to travel. Which means occasionally, my 3 daughters get to spend the day with dad at work. And let me be clear, they love “working” with me and are real troopers! But when it comes to dinner time, “hangry” is a real thing. 😅 So the other day, while we were wrapping up a 4 o'clock closing in Charles Town, I could tell the girls were getting anxious. When we got into the car, I asked my oldest what she was in the mood for, and without hesitation, she said “I want some good nachos!” Oddly enough, a good friend of mine had just recommended Mi Degollado to me. I figured, why not give it a try! People sometimes say this, but don’t really mean it. This isn’t one of those times. Because from the moment we walked in, I was truly impressed by this restaurant. The atmosphere and staff that greeted us instantly made me feel like I had made the right choice! As for the dinner itself, everyone loved their dishes. My taco and enchilada platter had just the right amount of kick. My middle daughter (who is a notorious picky eater), loved her soft shell taco. Lucille, my youngest, gobbled up the chicken tenders, cheese sticks and fries, and Evie, my oldest, loved her dish! For dessert, we split a banana sundae and fried ice cream. All of which basically disappeared before the server could even walk away from our table. 😆 So, if you are looking for a great family friendly dinner spot in Charles Town, our family would highly recommend you stop here. The food and service is always good. Prices are very fair and good for the amount of food you receive. Its is a smaller restaurant so it does feel tight and tends to be louder then normal. All in all its a better choice for the area.

This spot is pretty good, the cheese dip and salsa are amazing, the service was great, I wish they would play a bit more music, felt a bit mellow, but overall this is highly recommend place.

This place is amazing. Staff was at friendly. Food was some of the best we’ve ever had. Salsa was delicious. Sad we live 2 hours away or this would be a frequent stop.

Hands down the BEST Mexican we’ve had. We ordered arroz norteño, quesadilla, and burrito + enchiladas combo. The arroz norteño was to die for, same goes for the quesadilla. Highly highly recommended!!

Please don’t eat here. I got the steak and shrimp combo bc the second I walked in I saw how dirty it was and knew I shouldn’t order sushi... about 30 minutes later I get my meal and every shrimp had an inch long poop chute attached to it. Mmmm so pleasant. I honestly have never had such a terrible “Japanese” experience.

I never imagined teppanyaki could be this bad. Despite using different ingredients, everything was seasoned the same way—overwhelmingly salty. The scallops were overcooked from too much stir-frying and, again, far too salty. It felt like a total waste of quality ingredients. I’d recommend skipping the gimmicks—no need for spatula tricks or tossing food into customers’ mouths. Just focus on making the food taste good. Also, the restaurant was filled with greasy smoke, and my clothes smelled awful after leaving.

Spent one night at the hotel next door. Walked to Ginza. GREAT experience! Teriyaki chicken was very good ! The full meal comes with soup, fried rice , little salad. It was really good ! I’ll be back for sure ! Great service!

This is a must eat at location.. great food, great service.. and everyone we take here lives it. My brother now goes here often since we took him there to eat. If you have not been here it is a must try. I guarantee you will love it....

We ordered two hibachi one of them came with less then 10 pieces of meet.

We have been coming to Ginza for something like a decade. My wife picked up a to go order and we were disappointed. The soup container was half empty. The hibachi meal was missing the vast majority of the vegetables. Most have been an off night.

We lost our location several years ago and have tried many locations in adjoining areas to us. This location in Charlestown has been by far the most enjoyable, personable and clean. It’s roughly an hour from our house but my Wife and I love very much coming here. Thanks to everyone for your attentiveness in your service to us making our evenings here very enjoyable!

Just finished a great meal with my family of four at the Charles Town Ruby Tuesday. Our server Mark was outstanding. Very efficient and attentive! We're from out of town so we were pleasantly surprised with the quick service, cleanliness of the restaurant, and quality of our meals. Excellent! 🌟

Mark was a great server! There were things on the salad bar I wish would have been refilled faster, but it was a really busy night and the girl doing the refilling was working hard. We were satisfied overall.

My husband and I stopped into Ruby Tuesday’s this evening to grab dinner before heading home. I ordered the New Orleans seafood as I always do when we get a chance to stop by. When ordering, I asked that they do not put the Parmesan cream sauce on my meal, however, when the meal came out, part of the fish was burnt, and there was Parmesan cream sauce under the three shrimp that came with it as if the fish had been scraped off or the shrimp came off of something else. Our waitress Marissa took the plate back and had them remake My meal. When she brought it out the second time the fish and the shrimp were so burnt they were not edible. She offered to take it back and have them remake it for a third time and I told her I was not interested, two tries was enough, and by then my husband was 2/3 finished with his meal. She took the plate back and came back out and said the manager was taking my meal off the bill. I thought he/she (manager) would come out and atleast acknowledge the problems with the food quality but never did. The waitress was fantastic. Marissa was very polite, attentive, and professional, however, the manager on duty (whoever that was) did not have the professionalism or courtesy to come out and address us or apologize for the issues on behalf of his/her kitchen staff. Clearly they should not be in a management position!

Alli our server was awesome. Incredibly kind and polite with awesome radiant energy. Thank you for providing good food and awesome customer service. Honorable mention since we had him last time is Mark. Highly recommend stopping by when hungry.

Mark gave outstanding service! Polite, attentive, and we never had an empty glass. Restaurant was clean, salad bar was on point, and meals were quick, hot and delicious. You can tell he takes pride in his work and workplace.

Stopped in for lunch. Our server was a rockstar, he was cleaning tables, answering phones, making drinks, serving and hostessing. The food was good, but obviously spent allot of time in the microwave making my medium rare burger a very well done burger.

I’ve been to other IHOP locations, but this one serves the largest portions. The flavors are well-balanced and not overly salty. The hash browns are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—highly recommended!

We had an amazing experience at IHOP. The food was fantastic and the service was awesome. Our brunch was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of mouthwatering options to choose from. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. The cozy atmosphere added to the overall enjoyment of our dining experience. We love this place and highly recommend it for a memorable brunch or any occasion.

Food was good, standard IHOP food. Place could use some renovation/fixing, especially in the ceiling, (seems like the ceiling is falling in or got wet or something..but it's a nice layout. Crawling on table, slightly concerning, but only saw 1, so not terrible...

While the service was great and the food tasted good.. that ends my ability to praise my visit. Maybe they were having an off day.. but that isn't something you can have in the restaurant industry. The staff was prompt and polite, addressing us with respect and courtesy. We all got different things and we all got sick to varying degrees. Serving staff aside (they were great), the experience is one I cannot recommend again. I might not go back to ANY IHOP after this. The wait staff saved the 1 star and bumped it back to a 2, which is a real statement considering the aftermath.

The food , atmosphere, etc. Is always fine... this review is about some servers. First off we're 4 ladies that meet for lunch any given day of the month. Some servers greet us by saying "Hi guys" last time we looked we are women, NOT GUYS. Some RUSH us out right after the foods get to the table, by putting the Bill down, like saying hurry up and go!. Just yesterday our server asked us to hand them the caddie with the syrup and sugar container "while we were eating!?" I think "server side work" should be done when tables are empty. Servers need to think on the customer needs. And attention. Bothering, rushing and poor greeting all lead to hardly a TIP if any. Tipping is based on the all around customer experience, especially the service! And a SMILE goes a long way. We will TIP, and have done generously before. However, it all stems from Server Training. 3 of us four have worked restaurant service. Thats why we decided to review. If the service does not improve, well, we will go elsewhere. I usually don't have anything to say about the location, all good service until now. I requested one cina-a-stack and two stack tres leches on the phone. Don't know if they there was a mis understanding or if my signal was bad. But I double check with them and they confirm what I ordered. Its not until I got there that they got the what I order wrong but I only got 1 tres leches instead of two. Just wish I didn't have to wait any longer then I should just to not get what I wanted as well as the wrong amount. But I understand if there was a mix up or not being able to understand me correctly.

Atmosphere- 4 stars- love this location. Right on the main street in the little town of Charles Town WV (named after George Washington’s brother) located in the beautiful brick Washington Charles Hall building. This building is beautiful- looks like an old Colonial Statehouse. The restaurant has an opened/shared space with a cute little market called Bushel and a Peck. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very clean dining area. Service- 3 stars- counter service however they do bring the food to your table. Food came out fairly fast. Food- 4 stars- I got the Chicken Quesadilla and we also got the Chicken Street Tacos. Both were made with fresh ingredients and chicken was cooked perfectly. Would highly recommend stopping here on your next visit to historic Charles Town West Virginia!!

Got a bowl to go, can see the bottom of the container there is so little food in it. Chicken was chewy and cold, fish taco was sloppy and mid, green salsa was good at least. They called and said they were training people and that the one star review hurts them. I understand training days, but quality control is a part of training. Appreciate the call and offer to make a new one, but we were already home and not driving out for a second round of what we got.

Quaint little place with fast and friendly service. The tacos were amazing and it’s attached to a little shop with produce, soaps, local goods.

I LOVE the street tacos! Simple yet flavorful. The quesadillas and burritos are delicious too! I have never been disappointed when we get Ortega's!

Very friendly staff in a cute place! The tacos were fabulous!! Had street & soft shell which were both delish. I would def recommend trying the pork ... so YUM!!! Also enjoyed the nachos. The churro was so fresh & warm, also delish!!

Awesome food. Definitely will be back! Tried the Baja Fish taco on flour tortilla, and the Machaca and Caritas street tacos. All with their spicy salsa (could be a bit spicier, but they did have some hot sauce available that did the job). Also tried their homemade chips and tres leches cake. All very good. Staff was all super polite right down to the bussers.

Our most recent visit was abysmal. We ordered online and waited in the pickup stall in our car until the pickup time. At that point we called the phone number and were told that our food would be brought out shortly. That was after a little over a 20minute wait. An employee brought us a receipt to sign and said the food would be right out. We continued to wait for another 30 minutes until we finally called again and a different employee answered and brought our food out. The first employee came out afterward to apologize, which we appreciated, but he did approach our car with a lit cigarette. Upon opening our food, the ice creams in the desserts were long since melted. One had seeped through the paper cup and the other had been placed sideways in the bottom of the bag where it had dripped all over the remaining food. Much of the hot food was also barely warm at this point.

The sides were smaller than the sides on my 2 year olds kids meal, and also tasteless and disappointing. They’ve changed a lot recently, it used to be 5 stars. Last time we were there I got “all you can eat wings”. It took over 20 minutes for the server to come back and she was surprised when I wanted a second serving… then when she brought the second serving she brought the check. So it definitely wasn’t all you can eat.

Onion 🥯 rings way over done and bottom half of hamburger 🍔 roll hard as a rock. Burger was good, and fries were barely warm. Service was average maybe short of help even though wasn't busy.

The server mixed up our food with the table in front of us but other than that she was really nice and everything was fine

I had mushroom Swiss burger, with fries and caesar. The salad was crisp enough, the burger was cooked to my preference, and the fries were beautifully crisp. That was, on a Sunday night, for the last table of the service, at 11:26 PM. I am a tourist, all the way from Massachusetts. And I can say this is a good representation for the beautiful state of West Virginia. ❤️🤌⭐⭐⭐

Took my mother who is 79 years old, my granddaughter and her fiancé and myself. We do Applebees often bad meals but give benefit of doubt. So we go on a Wednesday afternoon, the server was new and the gentleman who was shadowing him we ordered from menu and also from the 2 for $25. The server brought our drinks which was spilled on my mother who definitely didn’t need ice in her lap . So finally get our meal after about 45 minutes. My granddaughter takes one bite of her meal and finds hair. By this time we were angry told the server said he would send manager instead he the server came back, said you owe nothing , he walked away. Personally wasn’t looking for free meal just wanted manager to know about drinks being spilled and the hair in food . Very disappointed in the service. Will be a while if ever return. Hopefully a owner or management sees this post as they need to know.

Usually a nice place to go. And most of the time very friendly. We went the other day and the hostess was very unfriendly took her forever to get us seated, there was only 2 of us. Then she never gave us menus. We sat the a while and even asked for a menu after waiting a while, still was never g8ven a menu. We ended up going online and looking at the menu just to order our food.

This restaurant used to be amazing if Justin is not in the kitchen it's not worth ordering anything. My last three visits the restaurant was not busy and it took 35 to 45 minutes to get a simple order out Last night it took 2 tries to get my steak right. My string beans were raw both times the waitress was inept. They need to hire more wait staff as well as kitchen staff. I will think twice about going back there the manager didn't bother coming out when my food was wrong twice. I'm sure the waitress did not tell her. The waitress was very unprofessional and kept calling me sweetie. I used to go there twice a week now I'm going to think twice about going back.

After 45 minutes in waiting with the restaurant at third-capacity: My salmon was good; my sides were not. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm at best. My friend ordered a burger (burgers only come frozen, which is just insane to me in a restaurant at a casino in this day and age) and they couldn’t even get the right cheese. Chef seems as if he’s checked out and this place needs to step up it’s game if it wants to keep anyone UNDER 45 that doesn’t smoke coming back (i.e- people with taste buds). Edible, but not worth a second trip. Will not be back.

Awful experience. Waitress was rude and short with us. My wife's wrap was ok, my Poboy did not come as ordered and was cold. Did not see the waitress again until my wife was completely done with her meal. Because we had to catch a show did not have time to get something else. If you don't have time or the budget for the steakhouse or Sushi place just go to the eatery. This is the weak link for food at the Casino.

This place used to be great. Everytime we came it was fantastic. Not sure what happened but it's terrible. Food is horrible and the service is worse. They are slow, no one smiles or seems to want to he there. An employee said the main cook quit and management knows there are problems but they said none of them seems to change anything. It's a bad time for this place to fall apart with food court being closed. If you are having a good day...avoid this place. You are better off leaving the casino and going to burger king

We frequent the casino regularly and most of the time get food to go from the Skybox. The food is usually good with no complaints but today was a very different experience. We ordered loaded (bacon and cheese) fries and for the $9.99 price what we got was probably not worth half of that. Less than two helpings of fries(over done) , bacon and cheese lightly sprinkle on top. There are local pizzerias (King's comes to mind) that you get the same order for less cost and much better product, quantity etc. Not sure what is going on at the Skybox or Hollywood Casino but they have taken a few steps back in regards to food and quality there. We will think twice about ordering from there in the future and wasting money on too little or unappetizing food.

Every time I’ve been here the food has always been great! I usually love to come here for the bayside wings! Now bayside years ago was a dry rub and always has been from what I can remember! I ordered them about a month ago and got something totally different. The waitress argued with me that was correct and it wasn’t. For a little while bayside was taken off the menu but I was still able to order it. It was since placed back on the menu but according to this waitress is now the wet sauce instead of a dry rub! It’s like a sweeter sauce with old bay instead of mostly just a dry old bay! I was disappointed I didn’t get what I had been craving for months and what I thought I ordered but I will say the new “bayside” wings on the menu were pretty good since I was really hungry and did not feel like waiting for them to be remade the way I wanted I ate them. Also they don’t put parmesan cheese on top of the fries like they used to either! Def will come back but make sure we are all clear on what I want and want I’m ordering this time since they made the change. Also waitresses should not argue with customers, it’s rude and unprofessional

After dropping a considerable amount of money gambling. My friend and I decided to grab a drink at the Skybox bar. Immediately upon sitting at the bar a female bartender fulfilled our drink request. $15 for 2 drinks the size of a Dixie Cup. The size and quality of the drink was not worth it. There is no where in the Casino that offers fun fruity, frozen or exciting drinks. Beer and wine is the way to go. Or perhaps get your free drinks on the casino floor. The free drinks were better than the Skybox Sports Bars drinks. And most importantly the attitude of our bartender made me want to run far away. She was not welcoming, horribly negative and cold. Not the right attitude for the service industry.

This was the highest rated BBQ place that showed up on my search for BBQ near Harpers Ferry. It had a 4.6 rating from a lot of people. I thought the beef brisket was good, a little tougher/dryer than I'm used to, as I am used to some very tender brisket. But it was tasty, just not the best or a 5. The mac and cheese was really good and the grilled cabbage was decent. The portions were very generous. The staff/owner(?) was very welcoming and friendly. I spent 20 exactly...8oz meat, 2 sides and a drink, with a small tip (since you order yourself at the bar).

Brisket was very good, the sauces we also very good. The flavor of the pulled chicken was very good. I would reccomend the beans but not so much the Mac and cheese. Just not my style of Mac and cheese. The cornbread was excellent, some of the best cornbread I've had in a long time

Steak night is it! Super tasty and perfectly done. Mac n cheese and green beans had lots of flavor. Portions were big and my leftovers made an awesome steak egg and cheese bagel the next morning! 😋

Service and interior was nice but a bit pricey for sandwiches and the pulled chicken was....offputting. Strange smell and flavor, the pulled pork was good and plentiful with many sauces to pick.

I called ahead to place an order. The wait was about 20 minutes. Parking was convenient for "to-go" orders! The staff was very friendly. I had a ribs and brisket combo with green beans and Mac n cheese. The brisket was mostly good. Most of the pieces I got were really good but a few pieces were a little tough. The ribs were really good and fell right off the bone. For sides, I really liked the green beans. The Mac and cheese was solid, but not amazing. I really liked their honey BBQ sauce. Prices seemed a little high but you get a TON of food. Definitely recommend.

Friendly service, but prices were a little high. I loved the baked beans, cornbread and original bbq sauce. Wasn’t the biggest fan of the pulled chicken sandwich- definitely drenched it in bbq sauce to get it down and also it smelled a little odd? Cheap beers though, but didn’t partake…

I don't give out 5's very often, but...can't fault this place. The brisket was smoked to perfection, the choice of sauces were amazing, and the smoked cabbage was the star of the show. Truly one of the best BBQ meals I have had. Get there!!

On Friday night 5/9/25 just before 10pm (the store doesn’t close until 11pm), I ordered a shrimp meal that was supposed to consist of 1/4 lb of popcorn shrimp, 2 chicken tenders, 2 sm sides (mashed potatoes/gravy and red beans and rice) a medium drink with a biscuit. My bill was nearly $18. The shrimp container was 95% of crunchy pieces, and I didn’t even get an equivalent of 3 shrimp, and the red beans and rice were not even a normal serving. I had to order at the pick up window, and within a minute or two, just long enough to pay for my meal a box was given to me. Which means Nothing was freshly cooked. In questioning the male at the window about my order he told me the restaurant was closing soon, so they couldn’t accommodate any of my requests due to their prep work. What? I have worked in the food service industry for years, and would have never served this to a customer. Regardless! But on a positive note I did reach out to a manager on the following Monday, and he asked for my name so he could put my name down to come in and receive another meal. J

I wasn't going to post a review but... I ordered a chicken wrap with no cheese and no pickles and received both They did not put the signature sauce in the bag for the chicken dippers. The person who was sweeping the floor didn't wash their hands before dipping their hand into the ice bin

I never really make post if not at all for review, but past couple of month the some items has been missing in the orders my family would make whether it was fries, chicken tenders, and today, the 3 piece chicken. Chicken is still good.. but I never really seen a fast food place that has missing items in orders pretty around 60-70% of the time.

Food is good, but I just brought home my 10 piece meal and it only has 2 breasts and 8 wings; not what I consider a family meal.

July 25, 2025 in Charles Town West Virginia. On two different occasions I have ordered a bacon and cheese chicken sandwich to go. (Walkin order) when I got home there was no bacon or cheese on the sandwich. Very disappointed! I wish the employees that make your order would pay more attention to their job and prepare the food the way it was ordered.

Don't eat from here. My mashed potatoes had a long hair in it and the ranch dipping sauce was bad...like out of date SOUR! And the free chicken sandwich is all breading. And even the breading tasted sour. Highly dissatisfied!

Was going for some gambling and stopped here beforehand. Everything was fresh. I live in SE DC and haven't had any Popeyes this good in a long time!

Love the environment and the energy of this place food was amazing employees definitely take care of you, I’m Mobile mechanic and I come here all the time never been disappointed. Amazing work team I just want to say thank 👍🤠

The younger guy named Alex is a character! Needs his own lil comedy series because he kept that place lively on a nearly empty Wednesday afternoon shift! Our food came promptly with the other workers also seeming very friendly and fun. Not in WV often but next VA appt, I know where to get a bite.

There isn't a whole lot to say. Waffle House delivered the food fresh and hot as expected. Staff was friendly and service was fast and with a smile. Our Japanese guest was pleased with the food as well :). Only downside was the female bathrooms were not operational at our visit but that's minor. Waffle House service and food as expected! Keep up the good work.

I come to this Waffle House very often and the service is always good. On weekends it’s usually very crowded, so you have to wait, but at other times it’s nice and quiet. The staff is always friendly, and my food always comes out just the way I ordered it. The only downside is that the bathrooms are always very dirty and smell bad. Other than that, everything is good.

We had a great time at waffle house we stop here every year after our annual cabin trip. And this year was even better than the last. Noelle and a few of the other ladies were fantastic at getting us taken care of look forward to next year. Thanks again for always taking exceptional care of us.

Went here to eat and had to use the restroom only one was open other was out of service. I’m in there for no more then 2 mins when I’m washing my hands I hear loud banging on the door I say I’m in here banging continues my mom is right out side and I hear her talking so I come out and it’s an employee Noelle. When I come out I’m told that others need to go to the bathroom and I need to leave keep in mind I was in there for 2 mins she then yells saying there’s a line. Then runs back into the kitchen. Saying I don’t care if someone is in there there’s a line. I return to my table and my family says no one came back to the bathroom at all then a server over heard us and yells saying it was me I had to go to the bathroom she then walked around running her mouth until we left

The food was great but the service was over-enthusiastic. Alex was always yelling about everything and had very little menu knowledge and was forgetting stuff all the time.

This place has a chill vibe. The guy that helped us knew his coffee, history and was very helpful. They were about to close when we strolled in and he didn't hesitate to accommodate us to the best of his ability. It was delicious. My son thinks their sourdough bread is amazing. Thankful we stopped in on a whim during our travels and you will be too

This shop is a gem. This place does not have WiFi... which is exactly why it is so great. This is where you go to slow down, unplug, have face-to-face conversations, meet new people, or cozy up with your favorite book. And the coffee tastes even better than it looks

Absolutely my favorite coffee shop. There is great attention to perfection, from the freshly baked bread and scones, to the unique and flavorful menu items, to the robust and delicious cups of coffee or tea. The interior is welcoming and friendly, and the music is pleasant, but in the background, where it's supposed to be.. :-) I come here as often as possible. Love this place!

Wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and great staff. Even the bread is home-baked by one of the monks. Its a wonderful place to comes and escape the stress of the outside world. You can watch people come and go and see how connected the community is to this lovely coffee spot. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Pretty good coffee. Stopped in during the parade today - they stayed open late just for the parade, which was nice. They were very busy and ran out of chocolate syrup, aka no mochas or hot chocolate. But the staff helped me pick out other drinks due to the chocolate shortage and made every drink right in front of you. Nice place and would like to go back at a less busy time. Very nice staff.

One of my favorite local coffee shops. I can always count on Mad Monks to have great coffee and baked goods. The mocha made with homemade chocolate sauce is one of the best drinks I've ever had. I've been visiting since they opened a couple years back and hope they stay open for many years to come.

Great staff and hosting. Cozy place to enjoy your coffee while reading next to a cute bookcase filled with books. The French lentil salad was very good. The espresso could be better.

We enjoyed dinner at the Final Cut at Charlestown Hollywood Casino. Elizabeth was our server, and she was knowledgeable, courteous, and very friendly. The restaurant was quite busy that evening, but thanks to our reservations, everything went smoothly. The food, as always, was excellent, and our drinks were crafted to perfection. We all truly enjoyed our dinner and appreciated the wonderful service.

I love going to Hollywood casino. The games are new and working. The payout is okay. We usually get play time for our small investment. I love the free sodas even though they run out of ice on busy nights. The staff is friendly and help you promtly.

Came for the first time today and had a great time. Ms. Debbie (short blonde hair), who was serving drinks on the floor was awesome. I was on the slots and ordered a drink from her and when I tried to pay, she explained to me how a player card works and where to go to sign up. I dont go to casinos often and she didnt treat me like a moron for not understanding how certain casino amenities work. She was super nice. We had a great time and will visit again.

I generally enjoy Charles Town casino. The games are fair. I just got back from there and played $15 blackjack (Thursday) with 3:2 odds. They weren't offering that to long ago. They did hit the soft 17. Craps was fun and they now have the "small-tall-all" bet which can make the game quite enjoyable when your bankroll is small, you still have a lot of rolls to root for. I got cleaned out this time, but that happens; I won pretty big the time before and I'm definitely up over the two visits. I wish they would add a bubble craps machine or two. If they had them (I know they used to have one), I couldn't find them. I find the dealers are pretty nice almost all the time. The one thing I don't really like is the dealers ignoring players and talking to the other dealers at craps table instead of engaging with the players. Half my fun is banter with dealers.

We didn't stay at the hotel.. just went to the casino.. it was really nice.. it was bigger then I thought it would be.. very roomy and it had a big area of non smoking sections. Next time there were stay at the hotel.. we definitely be back.

This review is for the casino. I’ve never stayed at the hotel. A great variety of slots. Better than most casinos I’ve visited. Food at the Eatery is good, and priced fairly. Only thing that could be improved on in the comps. Been there quite a few times, and comp is not much. I’m sure you have records of what is played. But still it won’t deter my visits .

Food court with several options, burgers & fries, pizza, Chinese, baked goods, etc. Most everything is cooked to order, so there will be a little wait time after you order. They also have a full bar in the center. Average prices. Friendly employees.

Kinda disappointed by this place. We came here to try some Food Network-quality food, given that it says Fabio Vivani (who we’ve seen compete on Cutthroat Kitchen) has some relation to it. However, when we got there, all of the food options seemed like subpar (yet overly pricey) food court food that didn’t seem appetizing at all. We decided to just buy a $5 dessert, which was just okay-tasting, and eat dinner elsewhere.

Excellent variety of maybe *6 convenient cafeteria line-type restaurants; each with a nice selection of offerings within its' specialty-niche. The common seating-dining area is kept very clean and tidy. The food at each is always fresh and tasty and this area provides a nice break during your time playing the 100s of nearby slots or table games. Prices are fair and the staff at each are very helpful and efficient. Stopping here is a part of my every casino visit-for carryout or seating.

Tasted like Gen Tso meatballs. Wasn't expecting it but i don't mind meatballs.

I went here a couple of weeks ago. The pizza place has some delicious options, and the prices aren’t too bad either. I did not get a chance to try the other options, but they all had lines, so I am guessing they are pretty good, too.

Went for the Sunday brunch. They had a tremendous selection of breakfast items - from pancakes, pre-cooked as opposed to cook to order omelettes, sausage; bacon, potatoes. They also had a wide variety of lunch/dinner meats, including prime rib, country ham, meatloaf, pork chops, deep fried chicken, even some very good pizza. As a rule, I don't salad bar at buffets. They had one, though I can't comment on its quality. They had an outstanding dessert bar. Also, each guest had two Mimosas included with the purchase. The service was outstanding as well. The only thing holding the rating to 4 rather than 5 was that it was somewhat overpriced when compared to comparable experiences.

I ate dinner with my husband, son and daughter in law. I generally enjoy eating shrimp on Saturday and the dinner meals are higher priced. Tonight, the shrimp was a disappointment. It seemed as if it had been frozen after being steamed. It had a slimy texture. The warm shrimp was terrible. When I attempted to find another selection, such as brisket, it was so rare that I decided that I was finished with my dinner. I haven't ever been disappointed with dinner at the Epic, but tonight was nothing to brag about. I notice that some chefs are better than others. The desserts weren't anything to speak of either. Come on Epic, you need to take notice of what is being served and how it is cooked. Some of the plates were dirty as well. I hope that this is an isolated incident.

No crab legs. No roast beef. There was a carved ham but it was dry. Lots of desserts. Waitstaff was good. Food was old looking, especially the Italian offerings. We left hungry. At least the waitstaff was nice (1star). Wish I took pics but they’d just make you want to run away.

Here for the brunch buffet. Certainly NOT worth $21. Coffee is bland. Juice is frozen concentrate. There was a line 8-9 deep for the omelets. One cook. Cucumber salad; watery and soft. Chicken tenders were OK. Sausage was good. Bacon - can't go wrong with eating bacon. If you don't have much $$$$$, don't waste it here.

I took my wife to dinner at the Epic Buffet and then went to the Kansas concert at the event center recently. The food at this buffet was terrible! Nothing tasted fresh. Even the vegetables tasted like they came out of a can. My wife had lemonade & it was awful! It tasted like that cheap powdered lemonade you were served at a kid's camp. The dessert bar was mediocre, except for the carrot cake. The carrot cake was delicious. Worst of all, the Epic Buffet was opened to the slots area where people were allowed to smoke. The whole buffet area smelled of cigarette smoke & we felt like we were eating out of a dirty ashtray. VERY disappointed & do not recommend.

So enjoyed our Thanksgiving 2017 at the Epic Buffet even tho it took 3 tries to get the cranberry sauce. Turkey was very moist. Oh, their pumpkin rum mousse ramekins were scrumptious!!!! Who makes them? I could easily go for them ANYTIME of the year!

All you can eat crab legs are good but the rest of the buffet was average at best. Shrimp tasted like they were boiled instead of steamed. No clams or oysters. And the beef brisket was all fat. Next time will go on Saturday night instead of Friday.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Went to Paddy’s in Charles Town, WV today and was blown away! It taste like home.. Biloxi Ms and NOLA. It was so good I had to go back for dinner and bring my roommate. The Boom Boom Shrimp? Unreal. Shrimp boil isn’t your typical Cajun style with corn and potatoes, but it’s still absolutely worth ordering — packed with flavor. The Crab Cake Sandwich was fire 🔥 and the Celtic Fish Sandwich was perfectly done. Also highly recommend the nachos! Big thanks to the staff for the great service. We’ll definitely be back!

I am very transparent about my reviews and I know it’s not their place but it does need to be addressed. There is a Cat who someone has fed apparently 3 weeks now who wanders the outdoor patio. We did witness it on a chair and licking the top of an empty table. Not sure if he has any disease or anything. Also a customer could be highly allergic. It would come up to the table to take a peek but a quick shoo away did the job. I’d recommend calling a reputable organization to pick it up. It was a very sweet cat. Besides that. The fish and chips my partner said were amazing and I enjoyed my Corn Beef and Cabbage. There is a nice ambiance and the inside is more of a laid back dive bar which is cool. Highly Recommend this place.

The atmosphere is definitely a bar vibe, table seating and a bit loud but we could carry on a conversation. They were busy but we were seated and waited on quickly. Received our drinks right away. A bit of a wait on food but not too bad and it was excellent. I had beer battered cod and the bacon cheese grits and cole slaw. The fish was perfectly fried, not greasy at all. Those grits! I could have eaten just a plate of those, creamy and cheesy. Cole slaw was also good. My husband said his shrimp alfredo was excellent. The sauce was thick and creamy. Mixed drinks were also excellent.

Paddys is a sports bar with a short, but decent meal menu. We arrived on Burger Day with a special deal on all burgers and took advantage of it. No complains about the food, the burgers were decent and the fries good. Yet, no Guiness when we were there (there was an issue with the keg, we have been told) so we had to resort to lesser beer varieties

Burrito was super disappointed in this absolutely empty chain type restaurant. Peter is definitely not cooking here folks. We were literally the only customers in the place. They seemed to mostly be doing take out and I understand why. From the emptiness, to the chipped dishes, to the orange chicken they tried to pass off for General Tso’s, the disgusting ladies’ room; I can’t even. The Bao buns were the only savory savior in the place, but I would not go back just for them, unless it was to perform a rescue mission. Dumpling echos what Burrito said and has zero words. He is speechless with utter disappointment. Tonight, Burrito got to watch the manager attempt to mangersplain the difference between General Taos’s and orange chicken while simultaneously trying to pass off orange chicken as General Tao’s. No, the bases are not both the same.

This is truly the only Chinese restaurant I will eat at. I’ve been a customer since they first opened. Everything I have had is good. From the melt in your mouth won ton soup to the perfectly made shrimp fried rice.

I love stopping in to any restaurant that’s part of Peter Chang’s group of restaurants, whether it’s a Peter Chang’s, Ni Hao, Mam Changs, etc… That style of Chinese food is one of my favs. So, when visiting the area I came in for lunch on a Monday. Getting there around 1PM they had several table sat, which I was surprised to see, yet very happy to see too! It meant that there are others who value really good, Authentic Chinese food and flavors. I started with their cucumbers and asked for them to be spicy. Once they arrived, I have to say I was disappointed as they were fresh, but there was hardly any flavor to them at all and the “sauce” in the bottom of the dish wasn’t actually tossed in with the cucumbers, rather they were just sat on top and the flavors were on the bland side. They also just tossed a bunch of whole cilantro on top, rather than pulling the leaves and chopping those and mixing them in, which is how the dish should have been served. Next up was their egg drop soup… yeah, it’s an American-Chinese item, but it’s a fav of mine and it came with the lunch item I ordered, which is the only reason I got it. It tasted great! I could tasted the freshness of all ingredients in it, but the fried wonton pieces that came with it were beyond horribly stale – NASTY! Those should never be served! My local, Fredericksburg Peter Changs (before they recently closed down) served amazing, fresh fried noodles to accompany soup. This is a management/chef issue that needs to be corrected with this location!! Next was the spicy chicken with peppers and onions… They were good, but far from spicy and definitely was missing some umami flavor I’m used to in this dish, from when I get it at other locations. I also tried their beef with three peppers… It came out looking not very authentic, rather quite “American” as it was saucy and resembling the beef from beef & broccoli. Flavor was ok, but far from what I’ve had with this particular dish in the past, which was very disappointing. Overall – service was nice. The food was too Americanized, which I suspect was why I saw so many people in there. Reviews for any authentic (Pakistani, Chinese, etc) place are typically mid-low level as most who use these review/social media sites are clueless as to what the food is actually supposed to taste like. I’ll give this place a 3, but for authenticity it deserves a 2. Would I return, nope, there are too many places to try in the VA Beach area.

I cannot speak enough of the food! We have had a lot of Chinese food, even from NYC and this place definitely secures a solid place in my top 5 of all time! We tried the seafood in a stone pot and the soy skins with Napa Cabbage! Both melt in your mouth! Absolutely delicious!

The chef is a master craftsman. The food was epic, I can't even find the words to describe how incredible everything was. You could really feel the love and passion that was put into every bite. The mixologist is an ARTIST! The best cocktails I have ever had. The service was perfect. We were quietly and thoughtfully attended to and generously looked after. The Redbook is so romantic and warm. But hey ladies, just a heads up - there's a gravel parking lot and driveway you have to cross through and then up into the dining space is a tight little staircase. Normally not an issue in regular shoes but my poor six inch heels had their work cut out for them. All that being said, this is our favorite restaurant. It's modestly elegant and charming. The staff even had a firepit going on a cool evening, so lovely.

had the five course tasting menu at redbook on the 30th of december started with an amuse-bouche of smoked eel and progressed through a raw scallop appetizer, lobster bisque, squab, venison and finally a pear dessert two of us also had the wine pairing, everything was phenomenal and the experience was a great way to end 2021 the venue is amazing and the buildings seem to have some historic value highly recommended, i especially enjoyed the scallop appetizer

This is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve ever eaten at (and I’ve eaten at many). We’ve eaten here twice, once this summer, and again more recently to celebrate my birthday. We specifically stayed in the area so we could dine at this restaurant. The chef’s tasting menu is fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys fine dining with an emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. I loved that we were given two complimentary courses with the tasting menu option (the oxtail ragu we got was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten). We also appreciated how knowledgeable and accommodating staff were during our dining experiences. The atmosphere is charming and beautiful, especially in the winter months. It is clear that Redbook cares about making each guests experience a memorable one, and we will be back again soon.

Decided to try this place because I was staying at Hillbrook Inn. This is the most expensive meal I've ever had, it was very tasty. The portions were good, I was almost too full for dessert. The menu varies weekly, so I suggest checking it out on their website prior to arrival. The menu I tasted was phenomenal, and had a nice variety of flavors to it. As far as the wine pairing it was necessary for me to go with it because I have very little knowledge about wine and wouldn't know what kind to order. If you're someone who's well versed you could skip the pairing and just order from the wine menu and it would cost about half of what I paid. My server was Ty, she was awesome and attentive. She noted that I didn't like sweet wines and changed up the wine pairing to adjust. I appreciated that a lot. If I ever find myself in this area again would definitely dine here again.

As an attendee for an event being held here, I enjoyed the morning view and friendly staff. Walking through the smokey casino I thought it would be the same at the event but it wasn't. The facility was clean.

Went here to try something new. It was nice having dinner and watching the horses run the track. The food was very good and well prepared. The French fries were fantastic and clearly hand cut with a great taste. The Terrace Burger was also very good and juicy. The smell of cigarette smoke knocks this down a star but does ever so slightly remind me of the smell of a bowling alley in my younger years.

We visited the Skyline Terrace last evening, 1/10/20. The service was good; however, we really missed the buffet. They were doing menu service for the Winter. There were only a few meal options and only two sides. The mashed potatoes were flavorless. We had to add our own butter and salt/pepper. The salad/dessert bar remained outstanding.

Enjoyed the Thanksgiving dinner! For $18- the dinner included all you can eat soup, salad and dessert. Also included was one plate that had stuffing (good), mashed potatoes (good), turkey (great), green bean casserole (not that good) and sweet potatoes souffle (wasn't brave enough to try it). Nevertheless, overall the food was good, not sure if I will do it again. Not sure if it can meet Thanksgiving expectations, but it was worth trying. Depending on where your table is located, the view of the race could be perfect!

The food was average as I expected a little better for a venue with this environment and pricing. The waiter, Bob was outstanding. It was our 2 year olds birthday and we went to see the horses. He brought her a cupcake with a candle in it.

People sometimes want to eat out to get a new or better taste than the food we cook. We expected differently from local restaurants; we like an old-fashioned atmosphere. The lady was nice, and the atmosphere is great, like we expected; however, they served the food on paper plates, with plastic silverware, and packet syrup. The food was okay, nothing special.

Cute little place in down town! Prices were reasonablw, staff was friendly, and it had the old diner feel and look. The food is like what you would make at home. Nothing fancy and straight to the point. I had scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and rye toast and I got juat that. No complaints. It is not a huge dining space so seating is limited. If you are looking for no frills small town breakfast. This is your spot!!

After traveling on the road, this spot is a great place to stop and fill your stomach and get a good cup of coffee. It's very nice on the inside, and i even bought a mug before I left

It's kind of a nostalgic atmosphere with an old lunch counter and bright blue booths. The food is down-home, basic, served on paper plates, and reasonably priced. The young women working the counter and tables were sweet, polite, and local. The place could use a bit of a renovation, but still, it's that old-fashioned, homey feel that people love. The building is accessible, including the bathroom. Parking on the street. The sign is on the front window. If you love basic diner food and like stepping back in time, it's worth the adventure!

My first time eating here! I got the BLT and French fries. They had my found out to me in a few minutes, the fries were hot and fresh, and the bacon was nice and crispy. It was very good and really cheap also! Definitely recommend trying this place if you haven’t yet!

I ordered the Western Omelet with hash browns and toast. The food was great and well prepared. Hash browns were cooked perfectly, the omelet had all of the flavors I had expected, but the service was lackluster. There were two people in the diner, and I was only ask about a refill for my coffee once in 45 minutes. It almost made me feel as if I were an outsider, as it was my first visit to this restaurant. I ight come back for the food, but I will not be back for the service. Unfortunate.

The food didn’t taste fresh, we were served on paper plates, and the water tasted absolutely unpalatable. The restaurant had a sort of off smell which makes me question the cleanliness. Worst of all I was nauseous when we left and vomited as soon as we got home. Don’t recommend.

I ordered delivery and was fairly happy with everything. The pizza was delicious. The crust was fluffy and crispy. The toppings were good and the crust could support it. I will definitely be ordering pizza again in the future. The large Greek salad was not large in my opinion. I wouldn’t recommend that for the price. Delivery was on time and she was very nice. Happy we moved so close to this place.

We came here with a large group of 17 and had a great experience! We ordered three of their colossal pizzas to share, and every one was delicious, fresh, and came out quickly. Our server handled the big group with ease—friendly and attentive with drink refills. I will go back next time we're in the area.

For the first time ever, my husband and I ordered a beer flight and we are so glad we did. We got to try several beers we really liked, including the sour. We also ordered three different flatbreads and they were all delicious! I recommend the pickle one, for sure! The staff were polite and frequently checked in. We will definitely be back!

Super bummed because I would love to give them 5 stars. We had two beers and left because of the bartender - shorting the company out of more sales in food, beer and the merch we definitely would have bought. Beer: Washington Street Wheat and Abolitionist Ale were great. Atmosphere: Cool Service: Not just bad, but rude. Sat at the bar, the three other couples already had been served, bartender sees us, but doesn’t acknowledge us, proceeds to go to the back, change a keg, side eyes us, goes to the back, brings out glasses. Finally comes over and asks “what do you want”. No futher service or interaction after giving us our beers. Had to ask twice for our check to be able to leave. No interaction as we pay.

We have not been here in person. However, we’ve had their drinks when they were sold at Guide House in Knoxville, MD. Due to recent personal circumstances we’ve been ordering dinner via Door Dash. Abolitionist Ale Works has great personal pizzas, pretzels, and the Rancher sandwich. They are made fresh and delivered still hot.

What a great place! You must go here! We were met with a warm friendly welcome. The beers were great, and many choices. Bartender was informative and friendly. Now the bonus. The pizza was unbelievably good! Super fresh. The tomatoes on mine were like they were just picked. This place gets a 7 out of 5!!! A cool space too. An old school American down town and building. A very nice place with awesome staff (thank you Sara(h) and Sydney (sp?) And whoever was working their but if in the kitchen). The flatbread pizza is delicious (try the Fig & Pig!), and since they use the same dough for the Naan bread for their sandwiches, I am sure those are yummy too. My recommendation for their beers is stick with the sours, saisons and the like as those are their strengths (IMHO), although I did not try the lager, pils or kolsch. If you're in Charles Town, and you like a good beer, excellent service and yummy food, you owe this place a visit.

So the food 9 months ago was fine the hush puppies were cold and the regular(not waffle cut )fries, were not bad... And today I decide hey haven't had it in a while I love it and it's enough to share so I was Soo excited to eat one of my faves and I don't do it a lot.... A MEAL OF 15 BUCKS WHICH AS I SAID IS SHAREABLE SO MOT BAD FOR TWO PEOPLE BUT THE PREP WAS NON EXISTENT.... I feel really bad that they were short staffed. When we pulled up to the drive through they said we had to come in and order and there was a 20 min wait. We did that and it was exactly 20 minutes. But when the fish came out it was cold, borderline soggy and really oilly at the same time. Not what we were used to. Also the recipe might have changed since a couple years ago when we came. Just not the delicious experience we loved and remembered.

We happened on this combination Long John Silvers and A&W aa we were passing through Charles Town WV... honestly we did not know what town we were in... These are places you do not usually see together... the atmosphere was great... and the food was good too... Wendell... the manager came out and introduced himself and thanked us for coming in... a nice touch... I would definitely suggest this place as a place to grab a bite to eat...

Well, hopefully you're reading this review BEFORE you go to this restaurant, unlike us. First the food, it was as expected. Greasy fish, burgers and fries. It was fresh and good. Ok, moving on from there. First when you walk in to the restaurant it simply doesn't feel clean, the floors are slick with grease and the overall condition of the store is worn and beat up then on top of that very unclean. It's hard to take pictures of just how dirty this place is. When you look at the lights and things hanging from ceiling they are fury with a combination of grease and dust, under the counter is days worth of trash where the floor hasn't been properly cleaned, all tables were dirty and the list could go on and on. But then I went to the restroom, barf... Not from a single mess made today but build up over many many weeks or even months of grim and gross, the floors so slick you feel like you're ice skating. Thank Goodness I didn't need to sit down. All of this so I then check out reviews and I found a review from 8 months ago with pics of damages in the store with a response from the owners where they are "distressed" about the exact same concerns I mention today and they are "conducting a thorough investigation" yet LITTLE to nothing has been done about the issues (see pic).

They are horribly understaffed but the food was good there was this awful man screaming and cursing at these poor young ladies being so mean because they were taking a while and then one lady dropped the tongs and he got so red in the face yelling and screaming at her that poor lady looked like she was about to cry wish there was more kindness in this world

We waited to order while the employee very slowly put more ice cream mix into the machine. Ok, not the end of the world, but we should have noticed all of the people unhappily waiting. From the time stamp on our receipt to actually getting our food was just over 30min. The manager gave my husband a hard time about switching our order to go when we knew we had to leave. Said we should have said something sooner. We'd picked fast food for a reason and this was anything but fast. The food wasn't horrible, but considering the wait, I expected it to all be hot and it was definitely out of a warmer. I'd also ordered a slice of cheesecake which was cool, not cold, even though it came straight out of the fridge and I got to it within 5 minutes of getting our order. The employees waited on the manger's direction to do anything, and she was clearly in over her head.

The day I was there the store was short staffed and having a few tech issues. The manager on duty called in a manager (I believe Wendell is his name) (who was supposed to be off that day) because there were a lot of employees called out that day. Long story short he came in for the afternoon shift as the morning manager left he got everyone working together using printed receipts to make sure orders were correct. He apologized many times to the customers in line waiting. We were all very understanding about the situation. He got hot fresh food to the customers in a timely fashion, with sincere apologies for the wait. He was 100% on top of the game. I would come back anytime.

If you order food here, I would get: chicken wings NOT as a lunch order, but by themselves. The lunch order of chicken wings comes with pork fried rice that is cold, dry, and lacking in flavor. The wonton soup tasted decent. The egg rolls are pretty good. Fried scallops were good. I would not get the beef and broccoli because it comes with the same pork fried rice. The beef itself okay, but I wouldn't say high points for the broccoli. Also if you order the wonton appetizer, expect bland, hard overcooked wontons. Definitely a hit or miss for ordering. Not worth the money to me.

The teriyaki chicken was dreadful, watery and the meat was plain and flavorless aside from the watery sugar “sauce”…husband got the general tso and it tasted like ketchup… very disappointed

This is my first time ordering here. I placed an order inside. The employees provided good service. I really liked the vegetable spring rolls and the chicken and broccoli. The sesame chicken was ok. It’s just not what I’m used to it had a reddish coloring but not bad. I miss the Chinese restaurants in northern Virginia but Id definitely eat here again and look forward to trying other dishes.

Their spring rolls have gone downhill. Today I ordered chow mein for lunch. Look up "chow mein" in any dictionary. "Mein" is "noodle" in Cantonese. See the photo to see that what Great Wall calls "chow mein" is not real chow mein and has no noodles. First time I called in I was told that the manager would call me back. They did not call me back so I called again an hour later. The man who answered this time fully understood and told me to just bring the order back any time for a free exchange for any noodle meal. Great. Some hours later when I was available to drive back there I called so they could make the replacement order. First I spoke to a woman and was told that the manager would call me back. I said that this afternoon I was told that and that nobody would call me back. She told me that she understood and this time I would really get a call back. I did not. When I called back over an hour later I spoke to her again and she said she was forwarding me to her "boss" but the call never went through and the line eventually disconnected. After that I called in again and spoke to Jillian (male) who again forwarded my call to the manager and again the call just disconnected. Let me summarize what you can expect if they mess up your order: 1. If they tell you that they will make it right, don't believe it, because the next time you contact them you will speak to people who know nothing about that obligation and will insist that you take it up with a boss or manager who is never available. 2. You will be told that they understand the problem and you will get a call back from the manager/boss. You will not. 3. You will be hung up on because they don't know how to use telephones.

Stopby for the first time today. I had a small Chicken Lo Mein. Very good! Wish they had more of a selection of drinks in the cooler. All they had was water and soda (pop). Would have like to see some teas. The LoMein dish was satisfying.

I absolutely love Anthony’s, by far my favorite pizza spot! Not only is the food fantastic but the staff is amazing too! They are so kind and caring, they go above and beyond each time to make sure we are happy with our order (we always are!). Today is my boyfriends birthday and I asked if the could do a heart shaped pizza and they did it for me! Thank you guys for making this day so special!!

Not only did they forget my cheese fries. So I had to wait for them to send them back out to eat my sub but when I did get them it was only half a container. $60 spent to wait and shamed on size.

What i like about Anthony's is the reasonable price, delivery option (direct from the pizzeria, no uber or door dash fees), with really awesome delivery drivers and top notch service. What I don't like about Anthony's, the food quality decreased over the years. Prices haven't gone up much in this elevated economy, but in order to do that, I think they cut back on quality a little bit. It is still average pizza. I mean, it doesn't suck. Go up the road to other pizza shops and you're paying twice as much for smaller portions, and their pizza also doesn't suck.

Great food! Hard to call it a taco truck because of the large variety of foods on the menu. Tried the Carne Asada Tacos and they were delicious! Definitely going back to try the differents offerings. Might do the Shepherds Pie next!

Moved from Chicago to Morgantown. Visiting Charles town. I had a horrible time finding good food. My expectations were minimal from Rossy but it was indeed a pleasant surprise. Rossy is a family owned restaurant. You can feel the warmth and hospitality when u walk in. The food is beyond amazing. I have traveled and tried different cuisines. This place had one of the most fresh delicious food to offer. Its fairly priced and has large servings. I have been ordering food from her since the day o visited her the first time.

Had trouble finding at first because it is a food truck now, not a brick and mortar restaurant. The tacos, especially the carnitas, were the best I’ve ever had anywhere. And the service was excellent. Going to go out of my way to make trip back for lunch.

The owner is wonderful to chat with, the drinks are yummy, the food is delicious. I have eaten in and gotten delivery multiple times. I enjoy their Birria tacos! The fried chicken salad was good; it was a very enjoyable meal to take to work. My daughter-in-law enjoyed the fish and chips and she is from England. The tres leches cake was a little dry but very tasty. The chocolate mousse cake seems to be just chocolate layer cake, albeit a good one. This is probably my favorite restaurant in Charles Town. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Stop there to get a pastry and had the most amazing experience. The staff was really nice to us and offered this exquisite lemon cake that was sweet and tasteful. They have a variety of different dishes in their menu for amazing prices. Highly recommend this place if passing through or in the area!!

I’ve always liked Jersey Mike’s, but this location completely missed the mark. The sandwich was overly sour, and the assistant manager Bryan clearly lacks management or customer service skills. Definitely not the kind of experience you’d expect from this chain.

Poor management. Who ever runs the store let 4 kids barely out of school by them selfes during the dinner time hours. Which is very busy. Online order said it would be ready in 15min. 40 min later. They said another 20min cause they are so busy. Asked for a refund . So they had to call a manager to find out how but it has to be from there corporate office in 5-7days since it was an online order.

Better than subway for subs and better service. Use the app for discounts and speedy service to order ahead of time. This location is close to the casino and staff are especially efficient and friendly. I discovered that different locations have some variations in the sub choice so explore the app.

I actually love Jersey Mike's. The people working are always professional and friendly. You can go pay $6 for a footlong at Subway or $10 for a half sub at Jersey Mike's. Sounds like a no Brainer but Jersey Mike's loads the sub with meat well at least they use to. That's why I 3 starred because they have changed bigtime since the last time I had a Jersey Mike's sub. Before the sub was small but loaded with meat but I was just there the other day and the meat was missing and it tasted like any other sub around here like Andy's or Anthony's. Needless to say I was quite disappointed because I was use to getting high quality from Jersey Mike's which made paying $10 for a half of sub worth it but not anymore. I hope it was a new employee error or something I just hope Jersey Mike's didn't lower their quality and quantity to be just like everyone else. I will add a photo and anyone who knows who Jersey Mike's used to to be will see the difference right away. The sub was descent that's why 3 stats but definitely not Jersey Mike's old standards. I hope they haven't changed and turned into all of the other bad sub shops.

I watched an employee make a sandwich, use a broom, write with a sharpie and work the cash register all in the same set of gloves. By the time my sandwich was ready I didn’t even want it after witnessing this. The drink area was a mess also. This location needs some serious help and heath inspector visit.

First time at a Jersey Mike's. Staff was friendly and service was quick. I had a philly cheese steak and I was pretty impressed! I also ordered a cold sub for lunch the next day and have no complaints! Would absolutely visit again!

Had the worst customer service experience today, the young lady making the subs was rude and has no customer service skills.

Update March 2025 The food and service has been consistently great! I recently discovered the corn beef hash on a recommendation, and it is the best I've ever had, and possibly the best item on the menu here. (See photo) Glad to have another reliable, consistent, and great mom and pop diner to support!

Wait staff is extremely friendly. The handmade furniture and collection of trucker stickers create a cozy, welcoming environment. Went twice during our stay. My favorite meal here was the triple scrapple sandwich. You’re gonna wanna eat it over the home fries, cuz when the good stuff falls out of the bun (which it will, regardless of your sandwich eating skill), it’ll be caught in the crispy potatoes. Definitely a great breakfast spot.

Great place and really good food. I had the Chicken n Dumplings with green beans. Mmmmmm And I tried the walnut carmel apple pie. It was delicious! Thanks to the two young ladies that were very attentive, especially as busy as they were. They handled it well. To the Truckers, they have space for 4-5 tractor trailers. Please be respectful to the surrounding area and keep it clean.

Breakfast stop at TJ’s Pit Stop on 340 in WV just south of Charles Town. Great 50’s truck stop diner atmosphere. Friendly attentive service and the food was great. Had a breakfast bowl of potatoes, eggs, and sausage gravy with a side of toast. The curling and walls are covered in stickers from all over the country…..including one for Buc-ee’s. Really good, and definitely be back.

Stopped by for a quick small meal. We ordered the BLT, mozzarella sticks, home cut fries and a house salad. All were freshly cooked and delicious. For dessert we had lemon meringue pie which was superb! Highly recommended. We sat in a booth and the decor was nice but the windowsills could use a good cleaning.

Great little “pit stop”! Atmosphere, food, service, friendliness, prices—had a great dinner! Plenty of parking too, even for multiple tractor trailers. Your classic diner experience and great comfort food. Greeted very friendly when we walked in (6:00 Fri night), sat right down in a booth (plenty of seating, booth or counter). We ordered the steak & cheese wrap, crab fries, mac & cheese/topped with BBQ w/a side of slaw. Cooked food was fresh & hot, BBQ & Mac & cheese tasted great, steak and cheese was strips/chunks of steak (NOT pressed meat), lemonade was delicious, coleslaw was really good (unusual, most places don’t taste homemade/fresh this did!). Grabbed dessert to go (apple/caramel/walnut pie). Will absolutely go back, intend to be regulars! Recommend as a quick stop, passing through, or a regular go-to!

Thanks for the entirely wrong order. Can you understand the easiest of requests??? I asked for no mayo... I got extra mayo on all the sandwiches.. I mean really??? All food was smashed in 1 small bag.. I legally had 4 sandwiches, 3 nuggets, and fries. I get is fat food.. but good grief people.... take at already a tiny bit of pride in doing what you do.

The heavy set Hispanic woman who works front counter is straight up rude. She isn’t wearing a name tag so Idk her name. I placed a mobile order and came up to request no ice and was given ice anyways and was met with attitude when I requested my drink be replaced. This has happened multiple times now; I ignored it the first time as it was a tiny bit busy and I assumed she was flustered but it has come to my attention that she simply lacks customer service skills. I will return cause I have no issues with my food but I have had issues with this woman in particular every time I’ve been here.

I don't usually eat fast food, but it was open late and close to the hospital. I was able to pick up food for my mother before she was admitted to the hospital. We got two meals with double cheeseburgers, fries, nuggets, and Frosty's. Everything was fresh and the fries were really good. Will definitely use them in emergency situations.

I used to run the front by myself, including making food.. it's not hard. I'm the fastest at where I work now. This place has gone down with the crappiest workers possible. I ordered 2 premium sandwiches, a chili and cheese potato, a junior cheeseburger and a baconater fry.. I got home and was missing the junior cheeseburger.. I go back to get it. They treated me like I was lying . In that case, I would've gone for the bigger stuff.. not a damn small burger. Get over yourselves! I hate going there any more! Worthless as they come.. just opened my food.. the potato became fries 🤦🏼‍♀️

The two cheeseburgers were cold and overcooked the ice tea tasted aweful and did not get my large frosty. We spent 27.00 and no receipt.

Order a sandwich from the menu that says nothing about being offered is a single or double and only show a picture of being a double but you get a single and pay the double price

I was able to sit on their back patio with my dog. The woman who took care of us was awesome and the food was great! Had the ribeye and sweet potato fires, no sugar and cinnamon, and both me and my dog loved it all. Some locals were out there and made for great company. Highly recommend this place for a casual, bar experience. Will be back next time I’m in the area!

Prices on their website don’t match the prices in person. This has been an issue for over a year now and I’ve mentioned it multiple times. The food is good but I’d like to know what I’m paying

Was out of town, my car broke down, needed a shot and beer after my buddy and I followed the tow truck to some shady garage on a sweltering hot Thursday night. Longshots was open and absolutely hit the spot. Down and dirty American pool hall. Cold draughts, hefty shots. Beautiful.

After a longggg day of geocaching& adventuring in Harpers Ferry, my friend& i came here for lunch& beers. For 3 coronas, the steak& cheese sub with fries i paid under $30 with tip. The food was great, the bartender was awesome& the company was fun. 10/10 would recommend!

Spite being by her self Manger Chelsea having to make dough to order still managed to have my order of 3 items finish by the suggested time from the app. When picking the order up I was greeted with a smile and joking laughter. Honestly we need more fast food and other local employees like her. I am thankful for her professionalism.

I just picked up a DoorDash for a customer. Angel was working. She was amazing efficient fast, timely kind friendly she needs a raise.!!! Because there have never been A time that I was in and out of that store on a Friday night as fast as I was today, good job angel. Keep up the good work.

Ok, this place fixed a papa John's issue. Apparently I didnt update something or the pizza gods punished me thus day. I ordered, but it sent it to a papa John's over an hour away. Thankfully(sadly) the pizza pro behind the counter has dealt with this same exact problem, not once, but many times. He told us how to fix everything, then pushed our order ahead to get it done ASAP. Its a good "papa johns"

I have previously reviewed a separate Papa John's down the road in Ashburn, VA, and that branch was plagued with numerous issues. I have to say however, after ordering from this branch on two separate occasions, I am quite impressed. I am not sure if I have just been lucky, or if this is the best Papa Johns in all of the land, but the quality and efficiency here have been exceptional thus far. I should also say that a friend of mine had a pizza sent to my house in the past and I was unaware of it (a prank we have done to each other throughout the years). The pizza arrived without my knowledge and my brother-in-law told them we did not order it (which was true). Since the pizza could not be delivered, the branch refunded my friend and that was the end of it. We both felt terrible about this, and I am still willing to make the branch whole for this to this day. Long story short, this was a testament of this store's integrity.

I don’t get papa John’s where I live so when I get a chance I order it and today was the worst I’ve ever had from them. It was cold wings and cold pizza and my daughter lives 6 minutes away.

I can’t believe that we actually PAID for this pizza. Seriously won’t be going here again anytime soon.

We waited over an hour for our delivery. We were at the Inn hotel at Hollywood Casino called about our order they refunded our money was over $70 but the driver said that they left it with the security guard. There’s no security guard at the hotel. The manager said so she didn’t know where she left it. I would think that that would be the manager’s job to find out where she left someone else’s food very horrible people to deal with.

Consistency long waits to get food that is not made the way you ordered it. Food has been under cooked on multiple occasions. Once opened the pizza box and two slices of the pizza were just torn up. Like they put the pizza in the box a thought this looks good to give out to our paying customers. I finally give up on this location. Update 3-11-23 - Wife was craving Pizza Hut so I gave in and we tried to order. They are out of 2 types of pizza crust at 4pm on a Saturday. Oh and of course they got the pizza wrong. Never change Pizza Hut. Never change. This might just be the worst pizza place to ever exist.

First experience ordering from here did not go well. All I ordered was breadsticks and they were not made well(barely any seasoning on them), had a long dark hair in the box, and the marinara they gave was not the regular marinara, it was spicy. Will not be ordering from here again.

Tried to order a stuffed crust thru the app but it wouldn’t let me finish as it kept saying “Uh oh, we need the rest of your contact Information to place your order!” After I filled everything in except for the email bar that was greyed out and nothing would let me type in it. Tried to call the store and place the order that way, the lady told me it was $6 more for my one pizza vs the price on the app. I explained what was happening and she said sorry but that the price was just different thru the app and she couldn’t do anything about it. Spent so much time figuring this out now all the other pizza places are closed and I gotta change plans last minute. I’m not paying extra for my food because your app doesn’t work. 🫤

If at all possible I would not give any stars it's a sad day when you call a Pizza Hut to order pizza and you don't have the stuff there to even do your pizzas I have never been to a Pizza Hut that has been out of product! Not to mention rude people on the phone and then they don't know what you're talking about but that said I'll never order from there again! Ordered online for delivery on July 1st late evening. Paid online and got a tracker for delivery status. They never showed up. Called local restaurant next afternoon. Took 3 hours to get a manager on the phone. Once I did, manager offered $50 credit and paid $9.60 with CC over the phone with them. DoorDash arrives and refuse to give me my food because I owe $9.60. I showed driver my bank account where it shows a pending $9.60 charge. He calls DoorDash, and advise driver to go on app and say customer refuses to pay. Then DoorDash advise to remove food. Now I am $60 loss with no food I paid for and no solution. Time to pay them a visit I guess. Just save your money and avoid this Charlestown WV Pizza Hut. DoorDash also mentioned that the store gave him a $2 tip for the delivery. Sounds like they want to ruin the store and is working. Take your money to Andy’s or Blaze pizza 🍕. The experience and frustration dealing with all this is not worth it. Thanks for ruining my mood Charlestown Pizza Hut and 4th of July weekend. After visiting store, I was treated with care and understanding. Was offered a lot more by going to the store. Thanks to the local team there! Phenomenal customer service. Thank you 🙏

Pizza had almost no toppings on it and was so dry that only one slice was actually ate, and it had to be dunked in sauce to be edible. Bread sticks were the same way. Total waste. I would give negative stars if I could. *** used app to order meal and, after I sent the order, I find out it is going to be over 1.5 hr wait. not a big deal, I go to call them to cancel it (cause this option is not offered in the app) and it is all automated now. I get put on hold for OVER 30 minutes, then THEY END THE CALL for absolutely no reason. I will be contacting cooperate Monday morning cause this is ridiculous.

You know from when I was a kid I remembered pizza hot as tasty pizza so when the new location opened I wanted to go check it out. I was really surprised to see the current prices. For so-so fast food pizza it's a little over the top. The pies are small, the sauce is on the sweet side. Not bad until you see the bill $60 for two medium (large per menu) stuffed crust pizzas is just more then I was expecting. For a great pie in the area checkout kings pizza or brothers pizza.

The senior grilled chicken was tender and juicy. The omelets are good and available all day. Nice presentation. Open airy dining area cuts down on the noise, but it was not crowed when we arrived.

Country fried stake is delicious! It has sausage gravy on top, served with home fries or grits, two eggs and toast for breakfast. Such a great value for your money! Staff is nice and helpful. My fiance and I camp in Harpers Ferry every year and my favorite part is to stop at what used to be Mountain View Dinner. I actually love the new name, as it was a bit deceiving since there is no mountain view ha. Either way great food, nice people and good prices! I definitely recommend it

*Updated review from Local Guide* Charles Town Diner, formerly known as Mountain View Diner, is now under new ownership and is reopened after renovations and improvements. The overall atmosphere has improved and the place feels more clean. Overall positives: staff is friendly and the food quality and taste has definitely improved drastically. Meal portions are acceptable to large. Best Fries in Charles Town! Crispy, battered texture. So good! Wait time not bad. Average 8-20 minutes waiting for food after placing order depending on when you visit (during rush hour or not).

We ordered veal parm, the spaghetti noodles were good, the sauce was better than expected, and the veal was great. We also ordered chicken parm, a turkey open face sandwich, and 2 kids meals. The portions were huge, in my opinion it was too much food. But, my family made 2 meals out of 1 (even the kids meals). Some meals were hot, others were getting cold. The location is a big minus. There is a cheap hotel right next door. The wait staff was a little slow for hardly anyone being in there but, they were full staffed, weird. If you're really hungry this place is ok.

I had to post a review due to the fact that there is may confusion as to the name of this place. This used to be the Mountain View Diner, which had some pretty bad reviews. Changed hands several months ago. I never ate here while it was the MVD. I only read the reviews, which were pretty bad. However, I did eat here today (CTD). I was impressed. Place is clean, service is good, staff is pleasant, and the food was great. I had the Ribeye Steak and Eggs. Steak was cooked exactly the way I liked it. I world visit again.

We vacation a couple of times a year to West Virginia and we used to stop at the Old Mountain view Diner until it became too dirty and the service miserable..... SURPRISE!! New Owners Finally!! My Wife and I ate brunch today at first not wanting to come as we saw the new name but wasn't sure if anything had changed.....again SURPRISE!!! The diner was immaculate and super appealing with clean fresh painted walls and window sills, the floors looks like they were sanded and redone, even all the booths and overhead lamps are now very clean!!! We then had a very friendly courteous and fast serving server named Kayla and she took our order in a jiffy. In no time at all we had a fantastic brunch of Pancakes eggs home fries toast bacon and coffee at our table all Super fresh and delicious. Coffee was fantastic!! If you stopped going like we did for the reasons we mentioned earlier you need to come back as this place is top-notch and we can't wait to come back for dinner as all the food is made fresh and the service is excellent!! Repeating myself again the place is immaculately clean and such a welcoming cozy atmosphere all with smiles abounding. Food is DELICIOUS!!!! Highly Recommend!!

Food was cold. I understand they were busy, but we never got check so I can pay after we’re done eating so we had to go register pay there because waitress never come back to us.

Glad we were able to try this place. The sushi was good and the free chips with sweet and sour dip were a nice touch. We sat at the bar which is nice. The place appeared to be a little empty for 5:30. A ton of carry outs! We would go back and try more rolls. Only one thing we didn’t care for was the steamed dumplings. A few beers and rolls ran us about $60 which is on par.

This was the orange chicken.The food is not good. There was thick coating on the chicken with gooey blobs of it like it was more like a fritter with little meat specks in between. I pulled what chicken I could out, everything you see in the photo was breading.Thick goobobs that taste like instant potato almost. There was a couple pieces of overly fried chicken that was dry and stringy. I bit into something wretched that tasted like burnt chicken skin. My stomach is grumbly already. I had the yellowtail roll it was maybe edible although I might be regretting that in a few minutes because it seems something's getting angry inside me. The roll didn't taste bad but not fresh either, and the fish was chewy I think it was the tail piece, very tough stringy cartilage in 3/6 pieces. It smelled ok.

This restaurant has gone way downhill over the years. Tonight’s food was inedible. We ate here a few months ago and had a similar experience but wanted to give them one more chance since it used to be one of our favorites. Pad Thai was a lump of flavorless mush. Wontons so overcooked there wasn’t any crab left inside. Crispy beef was soggy and SALTY. Egg rolls greasy and undercooked. Even the wonton soup noodles tasted old. They got my $60 tonight but never again.

I usually frequent China Fortune as it is the most reliable Chinese takeout in the area; however, after my last order, I shall not be returning again. Recently, I had ordered the Singaporean noodle for takeout. After eating a good bit of it, I had noticed something buried in the dish—what looked to be like some sort of baby roach. It was cooked along with the rest of the food, and I was absolutely appalled. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone conscious about cleanliness and health.

China fortune To celebrate my successful earlobe surgery, we decided to eat out. Well, you know me, I love me some Chinese food! (Ok, at least act like you know me) we walk in, the place is well kept. It doesn’t smell like cleaning bleach, but like Chinese food is freshly baked. We get seated down by a very kind lady, and are served,literally immediately, these complimentary crunchy things. They were nice, but cold. That’s alright, though. They were free and entirely unexpected. Me and the bois all order different things. Of course, as the sock collected, I got to try all their dishes. (And yes, being a sock collector is defiantly relevant to this) I hate to write a poor review for this place as the people were very nice. And guess what? I won’t. I think this place is decent. The food came out relatively fast, the West Virginia roll was incredible, and I defiantly recommend the fried rice. However, it was incredibly overpriced. Kid menu items shouldn’t be 7 dollars, that’s absolutely insane. So, minus one star. The next star I’m taking down is (I feel like a total Karen here) misleading photos. The pineapple fried rice supposedly came in a pineapple, which would have been really awesome, but instead, I’m served pineapple rice in tinfoil. I am so sorry guys, but you need to put down the prices. Thank you for understanding. I am in no way trying to harm your business, but just throwing in some suggestions.

Great food. Combination lo mein and fried rice were exquisite. Service was great. They have a nice looking bar. Duck sauce tasted so good . They gave us fried wonton with duck sauce for appetizer. Complimentary Spring rolls were delicious.

Where to order seemed a little unclear. The pizza was delicious. And they serve beer and white claws. 2 pizzas and a white claw costs were 30 dollars.

My kids and I had a great experience at Blaze Pizza! The option to build my own pizza with a cauliflower crust was a pleasant surprise. The staff was patient and professional, guiding me to choose a regular sauce with a drizzle of pesto. And it was super delicious combo! The environment was clean and cozy, enhancing the overall dining experience. Highly recommend!

We love, love, love Blaze Pizza! It is our favorite pizza. We usually get the combo of half a pizza and salad. My husband and I both like to load up both the pizza and salad with a variety of items, and we are able to customize these with everything we want in them at no extra charge. It's always delicious!

If you would like to wait 30 minutes to stand in line and order a pizza, that tastes "OK". This is the place for you. They are one of those Chipotle model personal pizza places, and they are as inefficient as 3 highschoolers with no adult management can be expected to be. Similar to those pick and choose as you walk the line buisness models, they will prioritize call in / online orders before the loving breathing person infront of them. Save yourself the time and money and go to literally any other pizza place in town

They have gluten free crust varieties which was nice ! Service was crap. I had to remind the kids making the pizza what to put on it and they messed up the sauce on my pizza. Could be a great place but it was not when I was there.

The parking is limited, but may proportional to the size of the shopping center this Balze Pizza is located in. This establishment was clean and was free of foul smells or overflowing trash cans. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The pizza was hot, and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

The staff tonight was awesome, very polite during taking and making my order. I didnt realize they were closing (i didnt know their hours off the top of my head) and no one rushed us out. We left ofcourse when we figured it out but all around a pleasant place for pizza.

Your typical fast food place. Most food we get here is good. Their chicken salad sandwich is very, very good and it makes 2 meals for me. Everything we've ordered has been fresh and hot. Employees at the drive-up are always pleasant. It's not as greasy as some other places and the crinkle fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and usually too hot to touch. Those are good.

FOOD TASTED LIKE CHEMICALS!! - I ordered a beef and cheddar sandwich with a buffalo chicken slider like I used to always get at this location. Got my food and it was nothing like it used to be, the beef texture was chewy and didn’t taste properly cooked. I took a bite of the chicken slider and it tasted like straight CHEMICALS, I’m not sure what they did wrong but I used to never have issues here. Cannot go back after todays experience and need to warn others, a health check may be in order

Manager at this location is extremely rude, especially to people of color. His tone of voice and the way he handles himself is not management material. We are U.S. veterans and don't deserve to be down-talked by a fast food "manager."

I like Arby's but this time food was cold, sandwiches were smashed !! Service was slow. Picked the wrong time I guess 7:00 p.m . Be awhile before we go back maybe try different time.

So I rolled up to Arby’s, expecting just a milkshake. You know, something chill. What I didn’t expect was to have my soul gently extracted, blended with ice cream, and handed back to me in a cup topped with whipped cream and a cherry. I got the chocolate , and let me tell you—this thing tastes like if milk and chocolate had a beautiful, drama-free baby who grew up to be the lead singer in a boy band that only performs inside your mouth. I took one sip and immediately remembered every good decision I’ve ever made. I saw colors I’ve never seen before. A raccoon nodded at me respectfully in the parking lot. I called my ex and apologized for everything. The consistency? Silky. The flavor? Illegally good. The vibes? Immaculate. Honestly, if Arby’s started selling these by the gallon, I’d cancel my car insurance and just drink them while rolling downhill in a shopping cart. I don’t even care anymore.

Just had a fantastic experience at Subway! As soon as I walked in the workers made me feel extremely welcome. The woman taking my order was incredibly friendly and efficient. I ordered a Turkey, Bacon, and Avocado wrap and it was definitely one of the best wraps I’ve ever had. Overall the experience was delightful, and I’m definitely going back with my family next time.

I love the experience of coming to this Subway. There are always nice people, good food, and efficient order times! I personally love the steak and cheese, but really everything I’ve eaten at this location has been very good. I highly recommend!

We ordered 3 subs yesterday and when we got home we started eating the one sub had hairs in it 3 of them . It was so nasty . We called they did not care at all ! Do yourself a favor don’t eat at this place you can see in the picture one of the nasty hairs.

This Subway is one of the best in the area! The employees are always quick when preparing my food and it is always very consistent. The employees here are always very kind and accepting of any extra requests. No matter if I DoorDash or go in myself the food is always delicious! The inside of the restaurant is always tidy and the tables are always clean and nice to eat at. Overall a very nice restaurant!

Absolutely the Best Subway I've Ever Been To! I can’t say enough good things about this Subway in Ranson, WV. From the moment you walk in, everything just feels a cut above the rest—clean, welcoming, and genuinely well-run. The staff here are incredible: friendly, patient, and always happy to customize your order just the way you like it. Shoutout to Brynn (I think that was her name) for her amazing customer service—she made great suggestions and even remembered my order the next time I came in!The ingredients are consistently fresh—crispy veggies, perfectly baked bread, and clean prep stations every time I visit. Even during busy hours, the staff works quickly and efficiently without making anyone feel rushed. You can tell they take real pride in what they do. The store itself is spotless and has a nice, relaxed vibe—perfect for a quick lunch or even eating in. I’ve been here multiple times and have never had a bad experience. That kind of consistency is rare and super appreciated. If you're in or around Ranson and craving a solid, delicious sub made with care, this is 100% the Subway to go to. Better than most fast food experiences by a mile. Highly recommend!

This subway is by far the best subway I have ever been to! The staff are all extremely friendly and equipped to answer any and every question. The food was fresh, and the service was speedy!

The Subway staff person handled money before making my sub and did not wash her hands. She struggled to put on her gloves, transferring any contagion from the exchange to the exterior of her gloves.

Literally writing this review as i am eating, my husband and i just moved to the area and God is soooo good because this food is AMAZING. I’m a southern girl from NC and haven’t had food like this since moving up here. The customer service is 10/10 and the environment is calm and inviting! We got the chicken wings, mac and cheese, greens (they have the sweet greens, which i LOVE, everyone always does just savory) and the swain fish! Everything is amazing!!!!

I really love this black owned establishment. Just moved to WV, so finding L Jay’s was not only a treasure, but also a nice piece of home. I ordered in the store once, and then proceeded to order frequently from DoorDash. I had to take a break because I was gaining weight LOL. My favorites are the burgers, green beans, potato salad, fried pork chops and corn bread; however, all of the food is delicious so you will not be disappointed!

I’m gonna tell you what if you want a real soul food plate come here as I’m eating this. I’m reminded by my grandma‘s Mississippi southern cooking. Everything is delicious. I got the fried fish, mac & cheese, and greens and by far some of the best soul food I’ve had. Amazing will be back!

Rakita came to our home and cooked hands down the most delicious meal I’ve ever had! The flavor of every bite was exquisite and left all of us feeling so full and satisfied. We own a wedding venue and will be recommending her to everyone. We can’t thank her enough for her time and effort! ♥️

The BEST fried fish I've ever had. This place is a little gem hidden on main street in Charles Town. I had the fried fish with greens, and it was beyond delicious. The fish is fresh and super juicy. It flakes and melts in your mouth. The service is phenomenal. A very welcoming and warm. I will definitely be going back. Can't wait to try the chicken and waffles and the shrimp and grits.

Lady Jays’ is a good eatery! My first time there, and I will return on a second try! However, I love their fried fish!! It’s awesome goodness, is one that I wasn’t expecting, neither had I ever taste before!!😋 I gave a 4 Star review, only because, there were no prices visibly posted with the menu on display; neither was my receipt itemized. Although, I ordered fried fish with Macaroni n Cheese and collards X2… My total was $46.04 (including $6 gratuity).🤨 As a serious Patron; I’d like to know what I’m paying before I agree to pay that- “if that makes sense” ?☺️ Other than that, I enjoyed the dinner! Thank you!!

Today was my time trying out Lady Jays at the Valley Mall and they did not disappoint. I work at the valley mall and I have been waiting for the day for them to open. Sadly I missed the grand opening but I have finally had the chance to try them out today. A coworker and myself went and we tried a few different things! We tried the shrimp and grits which was fantastic with just enough kick, the chicken wings were so flavorful, the potatoe salad was out of this world and DONT EVEN GET MY STARTED ON THE BANANA BREAD. 😍🤤 Not only was the food excellent, the customer service that lady jays provided was beyond imaginable. Everyone was SO KIND and helpful throughout our whole visit. I don’t take many lunch breaks when working but I think I’m going to have to now! Thank you so much!!!!😊 I will be back soon.

$16 for general tso chicken. I waited 45 minutes thinking this is going to be great. I got 7 pieces of "Popcorn chicken" with a cup of rice. What a complete rip off, not only that it's a pretty bland store bought sauce. Before the renovations it was a decent place to eat but now it's just garbage.

This is what you get for $20: $16 gets you six pieces of dried up orange “chicken” that’s been re-deep-fried about six times and is tough and flavorless. The rest is rice. $4 for the side of slightly burnt noodles. Service was nice. But she lied to me and said the all the food was good when I asked what she recommended lol. She did admit she hadn’t tried it herself though 😂

The customer service here is lacking. The cashiers and cook are confrontational and not willing to make listed menu items. Then when you finally pay them $30 for food it is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! Charles Town Casino needs to do better, we spend way to much money (which some do not truly have to spend) to be mistreated!!! Not coming back!!!

They didn’t have the most basic ingredient, rice, at a Chinese takeout. That’s grounds for a 1-Star review itself. Instead of giving you the upgrade to noodles for free, since they don’t have rice, you either don’t get the whole order you paid for or you have to pay $4 extra to get noodles for a side. Rip off. Edit: just ate. The food sucks too. Go to the cheeseburger place instead.

Kung Pao Chicken is very salty. I want to refund but cashier said need to wait manager and don’t know how long gonna be.

To the owners please read. I visited this spot today 3/3/22 order # 9332, and order 2 super pho. I asked Tanesha if I can get 1 chicken instead of beef Becuase I don’t eat beef she said of course. Not her explaining to me that there was a a substitution charge. She charge me for the soup the full 15.25 and an additional 4 for a side of chicken now as a consumer. That’s a rip off. Please don’t visited this spot and I would like the owners to change that operation. By the way Tanesha service was not good at all Because when I asked her that concern I had, it was just a negative reply. To all consumer don’t eat here. Owner please give me a refund

As a 7-Eleven, this is typical of most of its other locations for the surrounding area. Being situated right off of the main road with easy access to both routes 340 and 9, stopping by here almost always guarantees a quick visit, made further possible by a stoplight. However, because the station only offers four gas pumps, waiting does happen from time to time. Pumps also supply window washing tools, which I mention because not all stations in town offer this feature. Additionally, gas prices are usually slightly above nearby competition's pricess. As a side note, a Redbox is also located here.

I wish the employees here would listen to their customers. I was just overcharged by $6 for items I didn’t get. I tried to call and received no answer and no voicemail. I filed a complaint through the app, maybe I’ll get a response there.

I come here quite often since they are right down the street from where I live. The girls working at night are always so nice! There have been multiple times I went to use the cappuccino machine and it was empty so they stopped what they were doing and went to fill it up for me! I love the new coffee machine they have there, just tried it the other night and got a vanilla latte! It was actually pretty cool watching it poor the coffee and the froth at the same time! Thanks for the great service!

One of the friendliest staff I have seen. Seem to always go out if the way to assist with specific request. I love the mountain dew. Glad you stayed open during this Pandemic time to allow us a place to get minimum essentials.

Wasn't very busy.. Was in and out fairly quickly. Their money order machine was down.. Again. That seems to be the only issue I ever encounter here is the money order machine isn't always working. Other then that I have no complaints!!

Came here around 9am to get a cup of ice, a red bull, and a cottage cheese/fruit cup. They didn’t have the flavor of red bull I was looking for (despite it being advertised on the door). I moved on to the refrigerated food section, which was almost empty besides a few packaged cheeses, and pickles. I grabbed a pack of pickles since there was no yogurt or cottage cheese. I moved on to at least get a cup of ice. I noticed light brown chunks in a couple of ice cubes, so I dumped it out and refilled the cup, which now looked fine. I went and got in line. In line, I noticed black flecks in the ice that looked like mold. So i sat the cup on the counter while i was being rung up. I told the cashier I no longer needed the ice and I would just be buying the pickles. He said “ok” and rung me up, without asking if there was something he could help with. After that, I asked him if he wanted me to throw away or dump out the cup of dirty ice. He shrugged his shoulders and said “if you want” and moved on to the next customer. This place is dirty, unstocked, and has rude and careless employees. This is why I go to sheetz. I left this place with nothing I intended to purchase, and a pack of pickles instead.

I had freshly turned 18 and was trying to fill my car with gas but for some reason the pump wouldn’t take my card and I had to go inside and the male employee at the counter talked so rudely and treated me like an idiot. When he failed to explain what i needed to do another very nice lady came over and helped thankfully. I will never go to this 7 eleven again

Here's a typical small-sized station to refuel at. The lot is generally clean without ever much of a rush. Meanwhile, the mart has very basic on-the-go items available. Hot snacks can be made to be fresh, with several coffee options available to choose from. Advertisements even promote that EBT payment is accepted here. However, there just isn't enough of a variety here compared to other marts. One freezer section was completely empty. When visiting, there actually was a small rush of people, so I did experience a five-minute wait for the checkout process. Being a Friday night, one would expect more than one employee being staffed. A customer was ordering food to be made fresh, and it only held up the line further. I'm not sure if it was due to being in a rush or if it's common practice, but the customer in front of me wasn't asked for his ID when purchasing alcohol and only needed to provide a date.

I come in every day around 3 am. When mike is here he makes my coffee fresh everyday. Even the people who work the other 2 days when he isn't here do it. Came in today they had a new dude from a different store working. He was nice but when he made the coffee he insisted that it was only on pack of coffee per whole giant pot. It clearly says on package 1 pack per half pot and 2 per whole pot. I said it was 2 and i thought he put 2 after that but when i left i could tell right away he only put 1. I thought customer was always right? Nice guy but how do you work at a place that makes coffee and not know the right way to do it. I will still continue to come here because everyone is very nice and helpful but im little disappointed he did that.

This just happened! I purchased 4 WVA lottery scratch off tickets, (1) of the (4) tickets was a double time winner......$5 +$20, the balding, glasses wearing white male scanned my ticket and told me it was a $5 winner! I said "No, check it again, it's a double time winner", he immediately said "o, you're right" and paid me my ACTUAL WINNING AMOUNT! Owner should watch the cheating, stealing employees here! Cheers to all and may the best person win.
