Restaurant
Saona Café is a popular spot located on the main street in Bayahibe, Dominican Republic. Situated right in front of the beach, it offers stunning views and a great ambiance. This restaurant and bar is known for its international cuisine, refreshing drinks, and lively music. It's a perfect place to mingle with people from around the globe while enjoying delicious cocktails and cold beers.
Very laid back restaurant right across the Marina. Staff is extremely friendly. One of the best and BIGGEST fries fish I ever had. Was definitely worth it.
Meyf B — Google review
My partner and I visited Saona Café at least 3 or 4 times during our week long stay in Bayahibe. The food was always fresh and delicious but our favorite drinks were the cappuccino's and the all natural fruit juices (passion fruit for me and mango for him). The view of the marina and the smell of the ocean breeze were absolutely breathtaking. We also had the same waitress whenever we visited, her name was Janet and she was friendly, sweet and super professional. We can't say enough nice things about Saona Café, it would be a sin not to visit them during your stay in Bayahibe.
Elaine Y — Google review
The best place in BayaHibe! Perfect view! Perfect drinks! Good food! Tacos de poyo y Chinola explosion (maracuya drink) are the best!!!
ANORAK S — Google review
Such a vibrant and uplifting atmosphere! The prices are a bit expensive! Their beverages are a must-try, especially the Piña Colada—it’s absolutely delightful! They accept visa carde. 🤑
Mona S — Google review
They are nice at first but made errors with our order and even though we refused a drink because it was wrong TWICE, they insisted on charging for it. Really, I had 3 problems while visiting this town and definitely will not waste money here ever again.
Beckett P — Google review
Ordered a grilled fish fillet sandwich. It was juicy end, so tasty easily the best meal I’ve had in Bayahíbe. The Mojito was so good and very strong, 2 ounces of rum! The music was fun too, some people were dancing. fun vibe! Will return!
Cynthia — Google review
Went in on Christmas Eve, no reservation, not crowded at 7:30 pm, no wait time to be seated. Fantastic central location with a view of the pier, cozy and familiar ambience, friendly staff. Asked what their fish specialty was, they explained they are the only ones in the region to prepare the lion fish (due to the spikes which are a pain to deal with). True or not, the fish in its orange/ginger sauce was delicious. The salad on the side was seasoned with a perfectly fresh light dressing. Rice and tostones were superb too. Ah and not to mention the mojito! Fresh, not too sweet, not too heavy on liquor... everything I tried was perfect! Congrats and thanks!
Eledda G — Google review
The Greek salad 🥗 was really good. Meatballs for kids and burger 🍔 with homemade fries 🍟 Big tapas menu. Nice atmosphere. Idyllic small marina village. Can be improved by food and more cosy atmosphere in such a lovely place. And please upgrade from plastic straws to more eco friendly or no straws at all 🌳😊

Mama Mia Spaghetteria is a cozy restaurant owned by Italians, offering traditional and freshly made Italian dishes. It's perfect for a relaxing meal with friends and family. The menu includes delicious options like spaghetti gamberi with vegetables and pasta carbonara. Visitors praise the incredible pasta, recommending the homemade fettuccine. The friendly staff and kid-friendly atmosphere add to the charm of this place. Additionally, it's advisable to bring cash as they do not accept cards.
Great food! very fresh and prepared as ordered, a must try if you are in the Dominicus/Bayahibe area. We ordered Carbonara di mare and Spaghetti with shrimp on fresh Pomodoro sauce. Highly recommended
Ramon G — Google review
If you’re looking for the most amazing pasta, this is the place to go. The pasta was absolutely mouth-watering. I had the amatriciana, and I can say hands down it’s the tastiest pasta I’ve ever had. The service was great, and the location is very cute with a cozy atmosphere. If you’re in the Bayahibe area, you do not want to miss this restaurant.
Jessica F — Google review
The pasta here is incredible! We ate here twice during our stay in Bayahibe and each time the food was just delicious. Make sure to get the homemade fettuccine— it is definitely worth the extra small cost. The waitress was so friendly and helpful, and the kids loved drawing on the blank paper placemats. Make sure to bring cash- they don’t take plastic. Our group tried the salsiccia crema, gamberi salsa rosa, bolognese, 4 formaggi, pesto, and carbonara pastas, and all were excellent.
Kathryn W — Google review
best meal on the beach. Avoid the overpriced beach places. They charge 800-1000 dop for a bandera Dominicana. this place specialises in pasta. salads are great too.
T. ( — Google review
A pleasant surprise. We usually don't go to Italian restaurants abroad but in Bayahibe there are mainly Italians. The food was very good, my pasta with shrimps and fresh tomatoes tasted amazing. And portions are pretty big. They make only pasta,no other plates. They do not apply the usual 28% on prices. Definitely worth a visit.
Alessandro A — Google review
Very nice italian cuisine, spaghetti cooked perfecly al dente !
Mathieu G — Google review
Simply delicious dining alfresco, Italian restaurant with gluten free, Yuka gnocchi. Only open evenings and a must for your Bayahibe visit.

Italian restaurant
Mediterranean restaurant
Tracadero Restaurant is a perfect spot for special occasions, offering stunning sea views and luxurious surroundings. While specializing in Italian cuisine, it also features Caribbean and European options like lobster linguine and fondant with ice cream. For an extra special experience, guests can book a sunset dinner in one of the pagodas overlooking the sea. The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with highly recommended desserts such as their irresistible brownie.
The restaurant at the tracadero hotel offers tasty food and a pleasant atmosphere. We enjoyed the fish and pasta, both well-prepared and flavorful. However, the prices are quite high, making it more suitable for special occasions rather than everyday dining. Overall, a nice spot if you’re looking for a premium experience.
Maria K — Google review
I read some of the latest reviews about this restaurant, and I’m truly sorry to see a few negative comments. As someone who works in the restaurant industry 300 days a year, I’d like to share my honest opinion. From my personal experience, you really can’t fault anything here — whether it’s the pizza, pasta, meat, or fish — my entire family tried everything, and it was all excellent. The service and hospitality were outstanding. Here, you can truly enjoy a fantastic experience, especially when combined with the beautiful beach club and saltwater pools — a perfect place to relax in an absolutely stunning location. Sometimes, I think we just need a little more patience and appreciation for the people who work hard to make our day better. We’re on vacation — we should let go of stress, enjoy life, and be grateful. Thank you so much to the entire staff. A very special thanks to the person who looked after us all day long — you made it fantastic. With gratitude, The Contino Family

Beautiful restaurant with excellent staff. The wine menus is a delight, loved the wine we choose! The food was also wonderful and the entire evening was a delight
Natalie A — Google review
Top notch drinks, food was amazing. Spent all day drinking and eating top notch food. The pizza was a letdown but everything else is fantastic
Chad S — Google review
Absolutely superb. The natural beauty of this location combined with restrained elegance in decor embrace your soul as you walk into this establishment. The peaceful setting invites you to stay. The cooling breeze allows you to. The impeccably dressed, marvelously gracious staff welcomed us — and never rushed us. The chef even treated us to a tiny caprese skewer as an appetizer. My tuna was sushi grade and perfectly seared. The mojito was one of the best, most flavorful I have had, a perfect compliment. My husband requested a surf and turf combination, which they custom created to his taste with enthusiasm. He found the dorado to be one of the best tasting fish he’s ever sampled. Definitely worth a repeat. Each dish is artfully plated and graciously served. I’ll make this a must visit every time I am nearby.
Lynn G — Google review
The ambiance of this place was vey nice and exclusive, however, it doesn’t offer access to to the beach. They offer a day pass to the tune of $3500 DOP per person and this includes what consumers up to to $7000. Just the two of us and the check can up to $8704. The salad with the Churrasco is not worth it. Instead of giving you strips of churrasco, it’s pieces that you would typically trim from the chiurrasco that you don’t plan to eat… The dumplings and the plate of churrasco with the plating frito was great! My date enjoyed. The staff was very friendly and attentive. What I spent was worth it because my date was super happy, and that’s all that mattered to me!

D' Manuel la Cueva - Restaurante is a must-visit gem for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine in the heart of Dominicus. Known for its exceptional wood oven-baked pizzas, this charming eatery also serves up delectable pasta dishes, including a standout lobster spaghetti. Guests can unwind on the inviting outdoor terrace while sipping on refreshing beers or fine Italian wines. The menu boasts an impressive array of Mediterranean and Caribbean options, ensuring there's something to please every palate.
We went back twice during our stay, that’s how good it was! The pizza were super good and the owner spiced oil just magic. People were very nice and communicative. Recommend greatly. I remove 2 stars from the atmosphere because the toilet were not clean enough or in proper working state in my opinion.
Hélène K — Google review
Nice plate to have for lunch but too expensive for the portion they serve as they are very small. I had a lobster and there were only a few spoons of meat on it. Also we had fish with a few fries. The service was good, the waitress was very attentive. Overall I would not visit again.
Veronika O — Google review
We really enjoyed eating here, the food was great and the servers are good. Lots of options here, the pizza is good, I also had a shrimp dinner. I highly recommend trying the papas fritas, they are fantastic, so salty and fried just perfect!
Chris J — Google review
My GO to place each time I vacation in Dominicus which is pretty much annually! Have been going there since about 2014 and it’s always great food and service at decent prices! NOT trying to overcharge tourists at ALL!!! Used to be run by Paola then Manuel took over ownership and it’s just an overall great place!
Chantale C — Google review
Bravo! Although I come to Dominicus often, I finally could come here to try one of their specialties: Crab Linguini. I’m coming back this week for the Prawn Linguini (linguini de langostinos)

Incredible seafood - squid, fish, shrimp, lobster, everything was fresh and tasty. The best we ate during our stay in DR. Huge portions. Prices are very low for the quality. Staff is friendly and helpful. They even saw us waving at mosquitoes and brought us a repellent.

Very good pizza! The beef sauté is really good too! Pasta a la carbonara and tiramisu are really good too! We went to this place many times now love it!

Playa BarcoBar is a fantastic establishment located by the seaside, offering both a restaurant and bar. The picturesque setting allows guests to enjoy the beach while indulging in delectable food. With its proximity to the city being an hour and a half away, it's an ideal destination for those seeking relaxation with the refreshing sea breeze. The culinary experience at Playa BarcoBar is exceptional, with delicious dishes that exceed expectations.
Great place! The atmosphere is Beach and Bachata. Really nice decor, great view and good prices!
Lucy O — Google review
The Location is nice, apart from that we were underwhelmed in all aspects. The food was bland and boring, not really enjoyable. But the worst was the Service. Five waitresses and none of them wanted to serve us. They acted upon us, as if we were a burden to them and as if we are disturbing them while they were on their phones. The waitress even snipped at us like we were her dogs, owner of this place should hire people that are trained for the job. Managed really poorly. Would recommend if you'd like to be treated as a dog and not as a guest.
The G — Google review
The garbage outside of this restaurant speaks volumes for the service inside! Take pride in the space you work in! Major tourist spot and outside of this restaurant you will find empty liquor bottles, broken cups, empty cans, and just garbage all over! The people there are aggressive and pushy and rude!! Has so much potential to be a great spot- just take some pride and hire nice people!
Amanda B — Google review
Beautiful location with great beachfront view, excellent food, and friendly attentive staff. I don't speak Spanish and had no problem ordering. I had the whole chillo (red snapper) cooked in coconut milk and it was very very good.
Matt K — Google review
This place is wonderful, restaurant and bar in front of the beach, what more can we ask for. You can spend a pleasant day with the sea breeze. The food is very good, the photos are beautiful. It is an hour and a half from the city. My son got all wet because he wanted to feel the sand and the water, so even if you go just to eat, be prepared for the children hehehehe. Life is only one.
Cinthia V — Google review
Had the mixed grill plate and it was the most delicious thing I have eaten in the DR. Service was quick and the views are simply the best. Thank you for such a lovely last dinner in this beautiful region!
Angelica B — Google review
Fantastic place! Wonderful view of the cove. They had light music playing, and we could still hear the gentle lapping of the waves. Service wasn't the quickest, but it wasn't bad. Very laid-back approach in a sleepy little town. It's a great place to just chill. We ended up ordering their version of paella. There was a note on the menu that it could take up to 30mins to cook, but I think they had it out in about 20. We were in no hurry, just finished a couple of dives at Coral Point Diving, which is basically attached to it. We were killing time and having dinner before our night dive. We ordered an appetizer and had a few drinks. The food was amazing, happily surprised how good. It was also a hugh portion. We couldn't finish it and ended up giving the rest to one of our dive guides. Was also a good people watching. There is a tour boat that picks people up and drops off people on the beach here.
Anthony C — Google review
Delicious food! We had the lambí in vinaigrette and fried fish in coconut sauce! The passion fruit mojito a must have! Isaura was the best server!

Mare Nuestro is a restaurant and beach club located in the exclusive area of Dominicus Bayahibe, just 30 minutes away from the town of Bayahibe. It offers a strategic location with a second-floor deck that provides the best view in town, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner. The restaurant has a good selection of seafood dishes and offers outdoor seating with views of the sea and nearby boats. Visitors have praised the friendly staff, excellent food, and service.
I've written reviews about Maré Nuestra before. But this time was 5+ stars. I can appreciate that ones taste buds change from day to day so I often don't expect the same excellent experience, however, the Wife and I have never had a bad experience here....not even a bumble...the staff operates in synchronicity as though you've been there and they rehearsed a pleasant dining experience with you ahead of time. We went tonight and no longer need a menu. I ordered caesar salad, shrimp cocktail and fettuccine Alfredo with Cameron's, (shrimp) My wife had Caesar salad and Caribbean lobster with fettuccine alfredo. And flan for desert. I ate as much as I could. We have leftovers which we will enjoy for lunch tomorrow. Can't wait for our next meal at Mare Nuestra in Bayahibe Dominican Republic!!!

Great view nice wine list. Service was great. My husband’s pistachio pasta was good but my ravioli was very disappointing- too salty and pasta was broken open and parts were undercooked.

Best food we had on our trip to DR, owner personally picked us up from the resort and food recommendations was a great experience. Definitely a place to visit Try their paella for 2. Good enough for 3 people to eat.

A little gem of a restaurant. We are staying at Casa de Campo for new years. It is busy, packed even and finding places to eat with the family if not booked in advance is impossible. We were recommended this restaurant and were so happy we went! It has a relaxed and very local atmosphere. We were greeting with smiles, they gave us a beach table surrounded by torches and the food was delicious. Fresh, local sea food, great service, great setting, fantastic dinner. There was also a love group that came towards the end and played some songs which made the evening even better. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for something authentic.
Luis B — Google review
The space is awesome, clean & with great music. The food was amazing at very fair price (less then most places I have been) you can tell they know how to cook seafood, they had very well balance flavours (tuna tartare wow, calamari wow) Service was top notch from the greeting to paying the bill (Juan was our server) They used a proper cash register and had a ATM. The kitchen was clean (got to speak to the chef & get a peek) The place to eat at Bayahibe!
Steph P — Google review
Probably the best meal we’ve had on our trip to the DR. The grilled squid was nice and tender and was a large portion served on grilled vegetables. For main we all had the shrimp skewers - tender, juicy prawns with a butter sauce for dipping served with fries and side salad. The mojitos were really good too! Staff were friendly and helpful. As with the other places we’ve eaten or drink out here tax is added at the end, so factor that in to prices, still much cheaper than the equivalent meal in the UK and a great location on the beach.
Suzi A — Google review
A real insider tip for lobster and other fish dishes. The offer here is much cheaper and better quality than in the adjacent hotel. You sit right on the beach, the service is very attentive, the cocktails are unique. For us it was a really great evening and a very special memory of the Dominican Republic. We will certainly come back ;-)
Dirk K — Google review
One of our best and favorite spots around the area. Must ask for William, you will be well looked after. Great drinks and good food with a wonderful setting

We've been three weeks in the Dominican Republic and this is the only place were they tried to charge us 1200 pesos for two cocktels.. (regular price is from 250 to max 350 pesos for one) After arguing I've paid 1000 but still too much..considering that they were also the worst tried on the island..(we even couldn't finish them)
Daniel R — Google review
Nice escape just off the resort. Ceviche and tuna tartare was fresh and delicious. Pasta dishes were well executed. Sit right on the beach and watch the sunset. You even have the option to sit surf side right on the beach! The only miss was the tuna filet…do not order that! But literally everything else was super tasty.

Stopped here by chance and what a wonderful experience. The food is wonderful. We had seafood salad and fried fish of the day. It was so good we ordered another. The service, while still on Island time, was very hospitable, attentive and kind. Definitely will return here on our next trip.

Overpriced for average food. FYI the shrimp cocktail is with ketchup and mayonnaise and old letttuce(+added sugar?) which I think is gross. They didn’t have avocado for the burger. Burger was average. 3 beers, a burger and 5 pieces of shrimp for 2500DOP / 42$

Nice service, very good food, nice surroundings. Quite place where you'll eat enjoyable food if you're a fan of Mexican cuisine.

I was ready to have some authentic Mexican food. I was very disappointed. The appetizer was suppose to be a sampler, for the main coarse was fajitas and I don’t remember what the dessert was. The sampler had a quesadilla minute cheese or any filling and everything else was fried to the point it was hard. The fajita had flavor but the meat was over done and it was chewy. The dessert was ok but I don’t like the texture because it was a little mushy. A lot of people like that texture so I’m not going to complain. It’s just a preference issue. Overall I was extremely disappointed. I was looking forward to that dinner because it’s something I am familiar with. The people were great! As far as the atmosphere it a table in a room with other tables in a room. I asked to take our dessert back to our room. However, I said can we take that “to” go. It took a second but he realized I wanted to leave with it. So he brought me one dessert for there and two covered. My mom asked if she could get hers”to “go as well so he took the plate added two of both desserts as well as the one to eat there. There was a little misunderstand but it’s just funny.

(Translated by Google) Best restaurant in the village in my opinion, the chef Luca is truly excellent, considering the raw materials the place offers he is truly skilled, he is very serious about his work and also pleasant to chat with while he prepares the dishes. As for the pizzeria, it is certainly the best in the village. Without the trattoria I don't think we would have eaten there. The place is clean and quiet. The people are friendly. The food is pretty good - we got the paella and mojito. Their tiramisu was really good and not your typical tiramisu!

A visit that ended with prolonged stomach problems We found this restaurant through google reviews. Everything went as it should, we ordered grilled calamari and a seafood platter (which ended up being completely different than what we expected, but that's ok). The fact that the calamari for 12 usd was relatively small, maybe that's a good thing after all. We paid about 60 usd for everything, which the irony was that the tip was about 15% of the amount (which is automatically added to the price). However, during that dinner I thought the food smelled more than usual. About 2 hours after dinner, I developed severe stomach problems. These problems subsequently appeared in my girlfriend as well. It is now two days after going to the restaurant and we can't eat anything and constantly have stomach problems. And please we are vaccinated against stomach problems. Never again this establishment. If we were still there I would personally go to show them how we look.

Food was really delicious, had the mixed seafood and fish soup. However, the bill ruined our night as it was almost 1000 pesos more than on the menu... Mixed seafood was 1200 on menu but 1500 on bill, soup 600 became 700 and same for the drinks that came to 200 more than the menu... We expected the itbis and extra 10% tax but this was definitely not part of our plan... More than 4000 pesos paid instead of around 3000...

It is rare that I feel so motivated to write a review, but I believe this one deserves the effort. I firmly believe that the difference between a bad or great experience is the sum of several points that make up a visit: Ambiance, Organization, Timing, and Flavors. Today I had the opportunity to visit the restaurant Típico La Bahía; a cozy place located on the upper floor of the Lobby of the Residencial Paraíso Aparta-hotel. With an extensive and varied menu, we can define the offer as an international menu that focuses on Italian and seafood cuisine. Something that stands out within the option is the lack of options thought for the youngest, although the host responds that the restaurant has Pizzas. In a personal way, I would confirm that the options of Pastas and Fried Chicken Breasts could be added to the offer, although they are not thought for children. And here begins the unfavorable points of my visit to the place; the attention received by the waitress stood out for its lack of attention throughout the service, mainly highlighting the mistake in the command in the only selected dishes, highlighting that one of them could create doubts in its selection because there are two dishes with the same name: Mixed Grill, which exists in both Meat and Seafood options; but without leaving aside that it is the responsibility of the Waiter to ensure that the order is taken correctly. It is the waiter and floor host who give the diners the experience that stands out in a visit. In summary, Restaurante Típico La Bahía was a cozy place, with a remarkable cuisine and an interesting profile of flavors, which responds to two of the points defined in the experience: Ambiance and Flavors; contrasted by the poor attention of the waitress for her lack of attention and poor management for caring for her reputation above the experience. This last point destroyed the points of Time and Organization. Although the quality of its food and flavors stood out, I do not think I will visit this restaurant again.

So Patricia and her team went above and beyond my wildest expectations. Not only they deliver our food to the hotel they took their time packing it nicely . We order a paella which was out of this world one of d best I have tried. We also order tiramisu which was d best dish we had also de crepes with Nutella were gone in a blink of an eye the passion fruit juice had d right amount of sugar and d customer service over all deserve not 5 but 10 stars strongly recommended

After trying trying several restaurants we finally found a place we love. Great food. Excellent service. Quiet atmosphere. Enjoyed the food and experience.
Steve M — Google review
Very poor service, only spanish - the waitress doesnt understand the word "pay". They somehow managend to bring the whole fish instead of calamari with shrimps and lobster :). It also took like an hour in an empty restaurant(10 minutes to bring the water- they make pinacolada first and then bring the water :). I didnt mean to give a tip - they add 10% automatically to the bill and also another 18% for I dont know what(we paid cash). Nobody there spoke a word of english so I didnt bother to deal with it. Btw. my girlfriend speaks intermediate spanish and still they had huge problems to understand and they messed up the order. Rissoto with crab was allright, calamari with shrimps and lobster would be good if they had added any salt while doing it and pinacolada was great.

Bella 'Mbriana Bayahibe - Pizzeria Italiana is a delightful culinary haven that captures the essence of authentic Italian dining. With its inviting atmosphere, adorned with lush greenery and soft lighting, it sets the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal. Guests rave about the attentive service provided by staff like Rafael, who expertly guide diners through an enticing menu filled with delicious options.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bella ’Mbriana Bayahibe - Pizzeria Italiana, and wow—what a delight! From the moment we walked in, we were enchanted by the restaurant’s beautiful and uniquely stylish décor. Our server, Rafael, deserves a special mention—always attentive, patient, and smiling, making us feel truly welcome. His recommendations were spot-on. The lobster pasta absolutely surprised us (and in the best way possible)—not just a few bits, but a whole lobster, paired with an exceptional sauce and top-quality pasta. The Burrata salad was equally impressive: fresh, vibrant ingredients that really make the dish shine. The pizza was baked to perfection, with a high-quality dough that made every bite unforgettable. We trusted Rafael when he suggested the cheesecake for dessert—and oh, was it worth it. Perfectly balanced, creamy, and just the right ending to the meal. And let’s not forget the sangria—cold, dreamy, and exactly what you want to sip in Bayahibe. We left feeling full, happy, and already thinking about our next visit. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Italian flavors and a warm, personal touch in service.

Came here for a lunch. Ambience is wonderful. Servers very attentive. We ordered cheese pizza, fish of the day with potatoes and seafood pasta. Everything was tasty, but nothing exceptional. Pizza was very thin but delicious, I would not consider it a full meal. Prices are expensive for the amount of food. One bottle of water was 250 pesos.

This place is a gem! Our server Rafael was amazing, he was very attentive and helped us with the menu selection, Which were delicious! The pasta angel was a delicious shrimp pasta with pistachio cream sauce. We also ordered the fresh fish of the day branzino which was cooked to perfection, light, tender and juicy. The pizzas were also exquisite , thin and crispy. The atmosphere is also wonderful with dim lights, great smooth music and lush greenery.
Wellington F — Google review
I really wanted to like this place because the atmosphere was beautiful but after a long day, my family was super hungry. We ordered two pizzas and they were paper thin. Don't get wrong. I've had thin pizzas but this was not that. It was honestly the flimsiest I have ever seen or had. It was tasty but we left disappointed.
Jan C — Google review
The ambiance here is stellar. Come in the late afternoon for the breeze, in the evening for the charm. Either way, the wood fired pizza is authentically Italian. Italian wines, red or white, brilliantly complement anything you order. The spacious, but unadorned parking lot belies the beautifully clean, flowering vine strewn dining area, accented with a fountain and pool. It fairly begs you to slow down and be present in this perfect moment. Pizza toppings are generous, crusts are crisp and flawless. You’ll want to return.

If you're on the hunt for authentic Dominican cuisine in Bayahibe, look no further than Mamarosa. This charming eatery is a local gem known for its delicious offerings like sancocho, fried fish, and refreshing juices. Many visitors rave about their experiences here, with one traveler enjoying both dinner and breakfast during their stay. The seafood platter and chicken with rice were highlights at dinner, while breakfast featured mangu with eggs and a delightful oatmeal dish.
This place was such a vibe. Amazing hole in the wall for an authentic experience. We asked for food for 3 people and this is what we got. The shrimp and the prawns were extremely well prepared! Mamarosa was amazing!

Like a previous review. The Owner charges as she pleases and was slightly rude when it came time to pay. I asked her if I could pay card, she said yes. However, when I asked her for the bill she told me there would be a surcharge. I paid more than I would pay for a meal at home. The portions were small, I had the chicken and it was mostly bone, there was no more than 100g of chicken. My friend friend ordered the fish and it came out cold and was also a ridiculously small serving. We may have just had a bad experience. However, I really don’t recommend this venue.

Cute little place. Mama Rosa is hilarious (for those who speak Spanish)we asked if they had beef and she said no.. then we asked what they had, she said fish then added “why do you come from your country looking to eat the same thing here? This is a fish town so have the fish!” And we did.. it was cooked to perfection (fried) we have it with rice and plantains. Paid a little less than $20 per person. Not the cheapest in the area but very good.
Evelyn A — Google review
We were received very nicely. It was a relaxed family atmosphere. Mama Rosa came to us and recommended something to eat. Very tasty. Gladly again.
Nick S — Google review
Based on the recommendation of a few people, we went here for dinner the first night we got to Bayahiba and (based on that experience) had a follow up breakfast visit the next morning. We weren't disappointed. Both meals were solid. Dinner was the seafood platter and chicken with rice. Breakfast was mangu with eggs and avena (oatmeal with condensed milk and cinnamon.) And... we arrived late for breakfast and they still made it happen. That's what it's all about... solid food and customer service. Oh yeah, we also stopped by there for 2 juices after the beach 😀 Highly recommended. (Photo was taken after a couple of bites)

El Dorado Restaurant in the Dominican Republic offers remarkable local cuisine with a delightful touch. Their traditional dishes include Pescado Guisado, where fish is cooked in a flavorful sauce made from tomatoes and peppers and served alongside plantains. The restaurant also caters to vegan preferences, providing options such as tomato pasta, tostones (fried plantains), French fries, and vegetables. The staff's accommodating nature ensures that every diner leaves satisfied.
i visited El Dorado today because of the good reviews i read. I was early in the evening so it was still very quiet. I asked for fresh fish and they showed me the fresh catch of the day. Perfectly fried fresh fish with smooth rice and a nice cold beer. You can tell from the people that came by that te place is well known and respected by the local entrepreneurs. I´m in Bayahibe for 3 weeks to finish my Dive Master course and will go back more often to El Dorado. Next time i wil take the meat. but this fish was perfect. The place is just around the corner and a bit hard te spot. But just ask someone and he will show you the way to good food and friendly people. And they speak good English and French.

Very delicious. We are vegan and even though the menu wasn’t vegan the server was very accommodating and he knew what to give us. Enjoyed the tomato pasta, tostones, French fries and vegetables. It was so good.

We ordered fish with Coconut sauce. The fish wasn‘t well cleaned and prepared. On the side we ordered „vegetables“ they served us Zucchini only couple pieces, most of it was burned. We complained and they didn‘t offer us anything. In the end after we pay „It was really expensive for what we got“ they didn’t even say thanks or sorry. Real place for turists… I really DO NOT recommend this place!

Frontoni Pizza is a delightful spot that perfectly blends a cozy atmosphere with delicious food. Nestled on Main Street, it’s easily accessible and open late, making it an ideal choice for any time of day. The staff are friendly and attentive, with at least one member fluent in English to ensure smooth communication. While the pizza may lean towards the salty side for some, many find its wood-fired preparation and thin crust quite enjoyable. The calzones are also noteworthy—large and flavorful!
The atmosphere is perfect for relaxing, with a welcoming and comfortable environment. The food was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. One of the staff members spoke English fluently, which made communication effortless. The best part is that they accept card payments, making it super convenient. Located right on Main Street, it’s easily accessible and stays open until late, which is a big plus!

It was a very pleasant visit. The pizza doesn't come close to an Italian pizza but was still very tasty. The dough is nice and thin and is prepared in a wood-fired oven, which of course tastes great. The calzone was also delicious, a little too much cheese for our taste, but still good.

La Casita de Mary in Bayahibe offers an authentic taste of Venezuelan cuisine, making it a perfect choice for families looking for delicious flavors and warm hospitality. The restaurant is known for its fresh and tasty dishes with perfect portions, as well as welcoming service that makes visitors want to return. While some may find the Dominican flavors different from their personal preferences, the friendly staff and delicious food make it a great family-owned spot for breakfast or any meal.

On our trip to DR, we came to la casita de Mary to try authentic Venezuelan gastronomy and we were not disappointed. Being Venezuelan myself, I know what to look for so I came 4 times. We got the Cachapa con Queso, the Cachapa con Queso y Carne mechada, tequeños, pescado frito (cojinua), arepa reina pepiada. They were all on point . These people know what they are doing and work very hard to get it. We also ordered some empanadas for breakfast before departing to Saona. We got empanadas with cheese, chicken, fish and carne mechada. They were 10/10. It was like eating empanadas back in Venezuela. People are great, they care and are welcoming. Location is also good. Atmosphere is chill, enough space to find a table. Highly recommended. P.S.: be mindful that in DR, you are charged an extra 18% if you pay by card so it is better if you bring cash to most places.

The service was awful, the waitress gave us such attitude and looked annoyed all the time. The food was of poor quality (frozen seafood), not what you'd expect by being next to the beach in a fishing village, and cooked badly. Octopus was chewy, not properly cleaned and drowned in heavy garlic oil, the fried seafood mix was weirdly breaded and had almost no taste at all. My girlfriend got sick all night after dining here. Looking at other reviews we might got unlucky but based on our personal experience we wouldn't recommend.

What a fantastic vibe! People are clearly enjoying themselves, but without being loud and a disturbance. Our party of 6 ordered a variety of meals and not a crumb was left. The fare ranges from light to heavier, vegetarian to carnivore. We were impressed with the freshness. The seating is not overly crowded. All are well shaded, some close to the small pool, some farther inside. Wherever you are, you’ll enjoy the restful, family vibe. Kids are welcome Start with a vegetable bruschetta. (Translated by Google) Beach Club I wouldn't call it the truth. It is a mini restaurant with rooms on the beachfront, so they have a good rating there. The food was correct and the price was right, but the truth is that the service ranged from average to bad, one had to look for the waiter, the girl who charged seemed like she was owed, her bored face made you want to run away. In short, to have a beer and eat something, that's right, don't expect quality service or even just a smile, just enjoy the views and the cold beer 🍺 (Original) Beach Club no lo llamaría la verdad.

(Translated by Google) The food was good but the service was terrible and they raised the price of the dish at the time of paying. The pasta was 825 and they billed us like 950. We also said we were going to pay in pesos and they wanted to add 18% as if we were paying by card. My boyfriend, who is Canadian (which I think was why they tried to scam us) complained and they finally removed the 18% but didn't change the price of the pasta they had billed us. Furthermore, the man at the register, who apparently was the owner, just hid away from the register and refused to change the price, leaving us with no solution.

Their extensive menu features mouthwatering options like fresh pizzas, pasta, and local fish dishes. Guests rave about the delightful shrimp cocktail and the El Dorado fish served with tostones and salad, all complemented by refreshing homemade lemonade.
Excellent food and service. Nothing fancy. But the location is perfect and the food is good and fresh. Friendly, efficient service and you have a restaurant you want to return to again and again. Recommended.

We love it there, we actually had seafood one night and them comeback another night for pizza. The food is fresh as it comes and the services was freandly. They are bilingual and if you can't say" una cerveza por favor " you have to learn it. I have a shrimp cocktail as appetizers and it was delightful. For second, i had local fish El Dorado, i think is yellow tail snapper but i could be wrong. I had it with tostones and ensalada and homemade lemonade, it was amazing. Give it a try you wont be disappointed because the price is righ and the food is to die for. Hopefully you see looking at the ocean and see the little kids playing around in the water.

We tried to order pizza, but were told we couldn't. We reordered different food. They dropped off our drinks and they gave us virgin drinks, were charged for the alcoholic ones. When we finally got food after an hour and a half waiting. We got to watch as all the tables who arrived, both before andafter us were all getting to order pizzas. We got overcharged.

Langosta Bar & Restaurant, nestled within the Iberostar Selection Hacienda Dominicus in Playa Bayahibe, is a culinary gem that should not be missed during your visit to the Dominican Republic. This vibrant eatery offers an array of mouthwatering dishes, with standout options like their delectable camarofongo and exceptional paella—some even claim it's better than what you'd find in Valencia!
We stopped here on vacation and wife and I wanted to try something different than the food at our resort so we ventured out from Viva Dominicus Beach to Bayahibe via taxi. Taxi was $10 usd one way and $10 usd back. Restaurant is about 10 minute taxi ride from Viva Dominicus Beach. I chose this restaurant based of some reviews I looked at and also my wife wanted seafood with local food. At first glance the restaurant seemed empty but it was Sunday and probably a slow evening. We were greeted by the owner of the restaurant and he was very friendly and welcoming to us and the couple that accompanied us. The four of us ordered several different items so we could sample a bit of everything. The food was made to order and fresh. The portions were good and the owner was very attentive to our needs at the dinner table. We had mofongo with shrimp which was delicious, snapper (chillo) which was tasty, langosta (lobster) which came with our paella and a side order of langosta with rice and French fries. All four of us ate plenty and had a bit left over. The food prices are on par with other restaurants of equal quality. Thank you to the owner for making our trip to DR memorable as this was a wonderful experience.

Perfect place to eat typical Dominican food. The place is fantastic, it’s really fill like Dominican countryside with its végétal palm roof and the nice painting. Very good experience at Langosta bar this week! We had a delicious dinner with a wonderful (best I experienced in Dominican so far) service from Jenny. Very nice and accommodating to all of our requests. Very pleasant dinner. So pleasant that we came the day after for dinner again. My favorite was the pasta (asked for a mix of lobster+shrimps, not in the meny, and they fixed it). Chef Brito definitely has good seasoning. Very recommended in Bayahíbe

Warm and friendly staff. Very tasty meal options. The fresh strawberry juice was surprisingly good. My family has a very hard time finding food we can eat due to many dietary restrictions. They worked with us through the language gap and we all had a great meal!
André C — Google review
So disapointed... We chose Langosta for our only Lobster dinner from the holidays as we are on a tight budget. They made us choose our lobster which is good, but they were already all dead so we got a bit surprised... When the lobster came after a very long wait, it was undercooked (still very raw, not just mildly) so we had to send it back and wait again. The owner greated us but we had nothing yet to say as we waited to try our food first. They sent extra fries for the wait which was appreciated, but the lobster was very tough and tasteless... In addition, they had told us it would be 1500 for the lobster, we asked for it to be in 2 plates as we were sharing, so they charged us 3000! We were hoping to be mindblown by this but I tried tastier one in London!

Behind those, in the distance, you’ll see lights where the real 5 star eatery is located, on the beach where the boats are parked. The service is perfecto. Maria the owner even got up from her table and talked life with us once we finished eating. It’s a lovely environment, with great people, and may I forget, PHENOMENAL FOOD. The food was brought out staggered. It was "ok". The lobster was not fully cooked. The parts that were cooked were tasty but we were surprised when we got the bill. For lobster, shrimp, chicken wings, fish, French fries, salad (which was just lettuce & tomatoes), 1 beer, and 1 Coca-Cola, the bill was over $100.00!!! We never saw a menu, we were just asked what we would like. VERY shocking! Ask to see a menu 1st!!! We were expecting to pay no more than $60.00, if that! With these prices, I don't see how people here are poor!!!

Loved the view from this restaurant of the sunset and next to the water experience. Definitely a more price friendly place, they don’t charge crazy amounts for good food and the staff are very friendly. Reasonable prices all around. The tostones were perfectly salted and fried. The calamari was over cooked and like rubber. The Seafood pasta was also mid at best. The seafood was overcooked and rubbery, the pasta was undercooked and not even aldante. The mojitos were really good. Definitely ask for more alcohol in them because the first time there was only a little bit of alcohol. The fresh whole fish were all amazing choices. Just stay away from the calamari and scallop dishes if you can. The fish dishes are pretty good for the price and it comes with sides too. I would say they were pretty quick with everything and service was like a fine dining experience but they need to up their game in terms of their seafood cooking.

Hilda P — Google review
The atmosphere was beautiful. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset, dining on the sand overlooking the marina with garden lights on the palm trees. Very beautiful. HOWEVER the food was overpriced for what we got. And none of us were thrilled with the flavours and textures of our food. Overcooked fish, tough beef, dry bread… the drinks sounded good on the menu and were decently priced but were so insanely sweet it was like drinking syrup. It gave me heartburn. This is not a fault of the restaurant but we almost walked out when one of those advertising trucks parked out the front of the restaurant with his music and ads blaring so loudly our chairs were shaking. He was there for about 5 minutes before moving on. But even when he moved down the street it took a long time before he was out of earshot. Such an unpleasant experience. We all were holding our ears and having to shout to hear one another. My brother in law is almost deaf and he was having trouble with it. The town should not allow this.

Good food and service was great! Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Special shout out to Luca who also gave us an amazing home made MamaJuana passion fruit flavour on the house. If you’re unsure where to eat this is a good place.

Visited the restaurant due to the high rating and it didn't disappoint. The waiter was polite and spoke English (they also have English menu), which is quite rare in the area, apparently. The food was fine as well.

Cafe
Perlage Cafe is a great spot for delicious and reasonably priced meals. The restaurant offers a variety of options for breakfast and dinner, with prices around 400-550 Dominican pesos. It's convenient for those paying in dollars as they offer a good exchange rate and can also convert dollars to Dominican pesos. Visitors recommend trying the chips, spaghetti bolognese, bruschetta, ceviche, and Caesar salad. The refreshing drinks like Batida and Santo Libre are also highly praised.
We visited this cafe multiple times on our trip and enjoyed it. Their burritos were a perfect lunch and they also have a nice variety of pastas- there are vegetarian options-. They also serve a great breakfast. Friendly staff and a nice patio where you can dine. I wish it were smoking-free.

Great chinola juice (passion fruit) and the staff are very kind. But the breakfast was average and the amatriciana pasta was really not good (sour tomato paste and weird bacon), as an Italian, and in a place owned by Italians, I expected much better.
Ester Z — Google review
This restaurant was very good and reasonable... Had the spaghetti bolognese and wow, it was great... they sure did not skimp on the meat... we also had some brochetta which was also great... service was great, clean and very enjoyable...

Nice restaurant, the food is great, both breakfasts and dinners. Breakfast is around 400 Dominican pesos (like 7 or 8 dollars) and dinner is about 550 Dominican pesos (like 11 dollars). Good place to pay with dollars because the rate exchange is good. They also change your dollars for Dominican pesos. In front of the restaurant the is a LOTEKA, a place to exchange money at a great rate from dollars to Dominican pesos.

Sailors cafe & bar is a cozy spot that offers delicious burgers and top-notch espresso. The staff are lovely, and the atmosphere is perfect for kicking back and enjoying a few drinks. The owners personally serve fresh, top-quality products at very fair prices, making it a must-visit stop. With friendly owners and staff, great food, and affordable prices, Sailors is highly recommended for a relaxing dining experience.
As "snowbirds" we spend significant travel time in Bayahibe. Our first and last stops, with countless in between, are at Sailors! Its home away from home but better because the food, service and environment are the best around (and no clean up/cooking on my part!) Literally, "service with a smile" every time! Delicious burgers, cold beers, and heavenly crepes at reasonable prices await! Don't miss this niche restaurant, off the main street but exactly where you want to be!

I’ve never been upset enough to write a review for a restaurant. We got completely ripped off. They told us that the dessert crepe was 200 pesos, but then once the check came they charged us 400 pesos. Even though we asked specifically what the price was many times. My hamburger was 250 pesos, and they were trying to convince us that this small crepe cost 400. Ridiculous, don’t waste your money.

I live in Bayahibe and love the Food and the Place. But the personal, I thinks it’s the owner, is so unfriendly. Wonderful family owned restaurant and bar. Wondered in as a solo traveler after snorkeling at the beach across the road and was immediately treated like family. Got a chance to drink a beer (great prices!!) with the kind and gracious owner. They'll set up tables for you to have meals on the beach!! If you ever in the area you have got to visit this place for a true authentic and delightful experience. Thanks so much for your kindness.

It's a hole in a wall "restaurat" (see the picture) on an unbeaten path that locals seem to know about-- a hidden gem you can say. The fish were fresh and delicious, along with homemade plantanos/maduros. Plenty of stray animals (dogs, rooster, ducks primarily) were present but did not bother you while you were eating. Service was present but not actively present -- often had to ask for certain things (more water, ice etc), was not a big deal for us. Pricing wise- we were charged RD$3600 which is about $45.00 in US dollars for 4 pieces of fried fish, salad, plantanos, maduros, and 2 piña cooladas. This is a must visit if you're interested in knowing what RD can offer outside of hotel and resort foods.

One of the worst places I ever been. We ordered fish and shrimps . The reason for the bad reviews are: - the fish was over boiled . But it was the best food we had in this place -shrimps not peeled but cooked so you have no way to eat and keep your clothes clean - the French fries served as a side dish were boiled in oil reused many many times . I don’t eat meet and they had a very strong taste of meet - boiled platanes had no taste - there was no menu also we asked specifically for one. This is the trick to get more money from the tourists - tablecloth was visible dirty The bill was 20% more than at Saona Cafe were food was absolutely delicious . Ridiculous amount of money for the quality of food and services received . 50 USD for the worst meal I ever had. We were almost the only clients they had There are many places were you get way better food and services for less money.

This place is hard to spot. You’ll pass it on the way to the beach and the proprietor is also renting chairs on the beach. The food was very fresh and simple. Chinola is a fantastic dining experience, especially for those with dietary restrictions like gluten-free diets. The staff is well-informed about safe food options and provides outstanding service. Guests can also enjoy live shows that enhance the dinner ambiance. The mixed grill plate and appetizers are highly recommended, with the soup and picahna standing out as favorites. Additionally, the desserts, particularly the tres leches, are surprisingly delicious.

Nouvelle Adresse: La Marina in Dominicana is a must-visit seafood restaurant. It offers a unique and exceptional culinary experience, serving freshly caught sea fruits prepared in exquisite ways. Even their chicken dishes are transformed into mouthwatering delights. The lobster, in particular, stands out as unparalleled and should not be missed. Booking a reservation in advance is highly recommended due to its popularity.
If you are in Dominicus / Bayahibe, this restaurant is to visit absolutely. Very warm welcome from the boss Sylvie and her team. The restaurant is on the beach, feet in the sand. Daily fresh lobster grilled in front of us with a French touch. Top quality.

A beautiful restaurant on the beach. We were greeted by the owner Gigi, a friendly French man. We were immediately served a cocktail and shown the lobster that would be grilled for us. Dinner began with the grilled fish (picture below), potatoes, lobster, dessert, and a dessert liquor. The amount of food was incredible. The tray of lobster in the picture was for our table of 4. It was all delicious!

Very very good restaurant on Dominicus Beach, Bayahibe!! The lobsters are…..DELICIOUS..cocktail also a good one!!! The owners Gigi and his wife they make you feeling like home!! I really recommended!! We went on 24.06.21.
Laurentiu F — Google review
Delicious food and drinks in this restaurant owned by a very friendly french couple. Best lobster in Dominican Republic by far. The only down side is they only have a fixed menu and it’s a lot of food, also I would say too expensive for Dominican Republic, they charge $40 per person, but if you want to have the best lobster you’ll have in your trip, best try las palmeras!
Triana V — Google review
True delight! Little French gem right at the Dominicus Beach. Sylvie and Didier are amazing people and their hospitality is exceptional. And as for the food, well that´s beyond words to describe. The fish is superbly seasoned and the lobsters, oh my... craving for more even when I think of them. Such a food could be easily presented in a luxurious restaurant for triple the price. If you are staying at one of the nearby hotels with an all inclusive plan, just skip one meal there and go to Las Palmas, you will definately not regret that!
Jan P — Google review
A MUST DO while in Dominicana! We have yet to find a place to compare. This is another level of cuisine, with always freshly caught sea fruits and the perfect way to prepare it. Even the ever boring chicken is cooked in such a way (in such ways, I should say, because I had it twice, in two different ways, one more delicious than the other) that one will wonder if they ever really knew before what chicken was! But let's get back to the lobster: it is beyond comparison. Just go there and try it. But make a reservation first, it's always fully booked :) Bon apetit!

Onno's Bayahibe is a delightful culinary gem located near the Bayahibe Port, making it an ideal stop before embarking on your Saona Island adventure. A quick taxi ride will take you to this vibrant spot filled with various restaurants and bars. Onno's stands out for its unique blend of island flavors, offering dishes inspired by Thai, Korean, Japanese cuisines while adding a Mexican twist with options like burritos and tacos.
Amazing place to decompress after a long day with the little ones. The food is reasonably priced. The staff is attentive. The food is delicious and presentable. The ambience and music are relaxing. Amazing view.
Jon P — Google review
It’s one of the busiest restaurants in Bayahibe, offering a lively and vibrant atmosphere. A great point is that they accept card payments, making it convenient for visitors. However, it might be better to stop by for a drink rather than a full meal, as the menu isn’t very descriptive, and the language barrier with the staff can be a bit challenging. That said, the overall environment is warm and inviting!
Mona S — Google review
We enjoyed dinner at Onnos grill overall but it would be greatly elevated by having some vegetarian tacos or vegetarian options for the burrito bowl or fajitas. Enjoyed the Mexican dishes. Pizza was nothing special.
A R — Google review
The place is nice, a family-oriented setup right off shore. Food is delicious and portions are good, but then, the white rice was sad, looked like from the day before. The order took over 40 minutes, and part of it was dead cold. No compensation was even offered. The supervisor lacks communication skills and character, which can be taught (staff in general needs training). The experience got ruined!

Angie provided excellent service. She was very authentic, knowledgeable on the menu and accommodated all of our needs with the upmost care and love. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed while we were there. The environment/atmosphere was breath taking. Highly recommend the burgers and for appetizer the Tostachos. I absolutely love this place! The food, the service and the view is marvelous, specially the sunsets. My family and visit this restaurant every time we travel to Dominican Republic and we are never disappointed. My last visit there was this month to celebrate my best friend's birthday 🎂, we enjoyed every meal, the drinks, the atmosphere, the service and of course, the breathtaking sunsets. The restaurant manager along with the staff provide a warm, family oriented and amazing service. Strongly recommend it if you are visiting the eat coast of Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 Bayahibe!

🚫🍊Delicious food but please note that the Orange Crushers, which are all listed under a hand-written sign stating “freshly squeezed orange juice” don’t have any orange juice! I went here three times during my 5-night stay in Bayahibe! Love the beachy vibe. I got the chicken tacos at Onno’s beachside for lunch, and just two come in an order, but with a shared side of chips and guac this was perfect for a light meal. Another time for dinner I got the chicken poke bowl which was spicy teriyaki and a HUGE portion of food. As someone who typically doesn’t like seafood, I LOVED the crispy rice tuna appetizer. Our group ordered multiple platefulls 😋
Katie P — Google review
My roommate and I live on the island. We LOVE Dominican food, but don’t always love restaurants here that fusion with other flavors. This place was fabulous! This place offers aíslan flavors (Thai, Korean, Japanese) with a hint of Mexican style (burritos, bowls, tacos). The prices do not include taxes, but we still felt like it was reasonable for the amount of food we got! The waiter was friendly and spoke English. The view and atmosphere were great. Even food presentation was on point! So nice!

L' Ombelico Del Mundo is a restaurant in the heart of La Romana offering delectable cuisine. Their appetizer, the seafood mix, and their entree, the whole fried fish, are both mouthwatering options. However, it's important to note that the service can be slow at times, even when there are only three occupied tables. The passion fruit juice may not be as fresh as expected.
Absolutely amazing food , perfect quality and nice serving, very friendly Italy lady.I can only recommend to everyone.

I had a beer and a Hamburger with fries, dine in. It wasn't busy, 3 maybe 4 tables were occupied, one couple just had wine. I waited 30 or 40 minutes for a so-so burger that was under cooked inside. I brought it to the attention of the cook as he was outside on his phone. Sorry I have to be honest, it won't take much to improve. Pizza seems popular.

Delicious meals: Seafood mix (appetizer) and whole fried fish (entrée). Service was pretty slow (only 3 tables occupied at the time, we were the first out the 3 to sit and order), so maybe not the best if in a rush. “Fresh” passion fruit juice was okay. (Not really “that” fresh)

Nestled in the charming town of Dominicus, Blue Cafe is a delightful spot that captures the essence of warmth and hospitality. With Luca and his dedicated team at the helm, every visit feels like a special occasion filled with love and joy. During my recent four-day getaway with friends, we made it our mission to savor their exceptional coffee and fresh morning pastries each day—truly some of the best I’ve ever tasted!
What a beautiful gem in the town of Dominicus. Luca and his team are so welcoming and everything is served with love and joy. My biggest regret was not trying the meals as they looked quite exquisite. I went On a short 4 day trip with a group of 13 people and we made it a priority to have coffee and breakfast all 4 days because it’s literally the best coffee you’ll have. The morning pastries were fresh, and the ambiance is even better. Excellent stop before heading to the beach, another 5 minutes away. Thank you Luca for being so inviting and can’t wait to stop by again.

Possibly the best quick breakfast in town, but you’ll feel like staying. The tables are not overly crowded together and are beautifully set. The staff is warm and cheerful and impeccably dressed. The cappuccino is European in quality. I highly recommend. Try the croissants— sort of an Italian/Caribbean take in a French pastry: a fantastic fusion of flavors. We ordered an omelette with the works and were pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality. Not only was it beautifully cooked, but not at all overly fatty as one guest feared. They never rush you to leave. Order another cappuccino and indulge in the shade and people-watching the local and international clientele.

Went there for breakfast at 11am and ordered bacon and eggs with toast... waited 30 minutes and when the waiter came around asked where my food was...he looked surprised that I didn't get it but he was the only waiter... he said 2 minutes... after another 10 minutes I told him to cancel the order, he said it's coming.... when he brought my food he started walking away shooting his mouth off and I told him that if he had something to tell me, to say it to my face... he started saying, and by this time it was 12 o'clock, that it was too late for breakfast, etc.... so I told him that I did not appreciate being spoken to like that and if it was too late for breakfast all he had to do was tell me and I would have ordered something else... left the food there and left... I do need to say that the manager said I did not have to pay but I paid anyways and left....

Went there as we went 2 years ago and it was very good but yesterday was very disappointed! We took the pulpo ensalada: basically boiled potatoes with some slices of octopus. Then we took the salmon steak: way overcooked, dry and not seasoned, very dissatisfied. We also took the pennies with shrimps, ok with the Aldente but those were not enough cooked. The white sauce was good as well as the shrimps.

We celebrated my wife’s 40 birthday, so I searched for Italian restaurant and I found an Italian traditional restaurant with Italian owners. I contacted the owner earlier to ask if we can have a table with balloons. The owner was so amazing and also asked the color of the balloons and which cake to prepare. When we arrived the table was ready with the balloons and the owner received us very nice. The food was delicious and well served. The owner always asked if everything is ok. Once we finished to eat, they bring the cake with candles and sing “Happy Birthday”. It was very nice from them. Top recommend to eat a good Italian food in Bayahibe.
