Bakery
Breakfast restaurant
Sugar and Spice Boquete is a popular bakery and café known for its reasonably priced sandwiches, freshly baked pastries, and delicious pies. They offer a variety of European-inspired menu items such as artisan breads, muffins, soups, cookies, quiches, and Mexican dishes. The bakery provides fresh bread to many restaurants in the area and is a favorite spot for breakfast and lunch. Customers can enjoy the aroma of freshly baked goods while dining in or opt to take some treats to go.
This place shook me as I was not expecting... The place is so welcoming and cozy, quiet and cute, delicious and varied in menu. I definitely need to come back to try other things from the menu, bit for now, I can highly recommend their empanadas and the ultimate breakfast burrito. These really blew my mind! On this first visit my intention was to have brunch, so I went with these options. However, they have burgers, salads, and soups! I'm 100% certain that their sandwiches and burgers must be high level as well. This place is great to visit with your family, friends, or your significant other. The ambience is so comfortable and the staff so kind that you feel like at home.

I really wanted to like this place and I was very happy that they had a vegetarian menu. I ordered the mushroom onion spinach enchiladas however, and I got three tortillas full of fried onions with almost no mushroom slivers or spinach at all. I was quite disappointed so my advice to anyone who is thinking of ordering that dish is to ask for it without onions so that you actually do get some mushrooms and spinach!

I have been in the modern cafe on the back. It belongs to Sugar and Spice Boquete, too. First visit. The lemon cake was very very sweet. Too much for me. The cappuccino was okay. Second visit. I had an apple cake which was very good. Only the price was too high for this small piece of cake. Than I tried the chocolate cake. It was not so sweet as the lemon cake, much more better. And the cappuccino was much more better. Strong and tasty.

Excellent food and service both times I've eaten here. I love dining on the patio

Where are the sidewalks for pedestrians to walk on? I understand your best intentions to accommodate customers by providing as much parking space as possible, but by doing so, this is an accident waiting to happen. Somebody can get killed outside of your establishment. I like your place, don't get me wrong, I think the food and bread is 5 stars, therefore the bad score is due to the lack of sidewalks exclusively. On occasions, I’ve seen bigger cars that even take a bit of the road forcing pedestrians to walk on the road, and as you know, it's a busy road. This is really bad. I know this is not the only place where this happens, in fact, walking in Boquete sometimes feels like an adventure video game with all the obstacles. However, responsible businesses with similar parking arrangements have put the sidewalk in front of the cars, like the dollar store nearby. Your place have pots with plants, which looks nice, but it makes even your customers risk their lives having to go behind the parked cars because there is no room to walk elsewhere. You have a successful business which a lot of people like, please do something about this before something bad happens.

This place is awesome. The hot chocolate is a sensual experience you won’t soon forget. The best I’ve tasted anywhere - by far. There is indoor seating, or sitting on the balcony taking in the vibe off the streets below - which we like. The coffee is also excellent. The staff are super friendly and speak English well. This is a daily coffee haunt for sure.
The T — Google review
Came here for breakfast for my family of 4. The food and service was great and best of all my picky kids ate everything off their plates.
Elsa S — Google review
VERY popular, thus crowded, place with indoor and outdoor seating. Although busy, service was quick. Their bread looked good, but I haven't tried it yet. The blueberry danish and cappuccino were very good though. Extensive vegetarian menu!

Nestled in the charming town of Boquete, the Boquete Sandwich Shop is a delightful culinary gem that goes beyond its name. While it’s known for its scrumptious sandwiches, visitors will be pleasantly surprised by an extensive menu featuring wraps, pancakes, fresh salads, ceviches, and mouthwatering burgers. The atmosphere is inviting with comfortable seating options and a clean environment.
Been here for breakfast and lunch on the same day. Had the vegetable omelete with cheese for breakfast and a Greek salad for lunch (swapped the onions for cucumber). Both were really nice, my only criticism would be that the salad dressing is actually a tzatziki dip than actual dressing but it kinda worked, I still enjoyed it 😊 The passionfruit juice is delicious!
Dani F — Google review
I had the Huevos Rancheros, which were delicious. It was a good serving and included some fresh fruit. Service was good, too. The coffee was very good and the perfect compliment to the food.

Best Breakfast in Boquete! We are at several other spots during our trip and this was by far our favorite. And you can tell a place is good when you see locals eating there every morning. With the name “Sandwich Shop” we weren’t expecting it to be this good for breakfast but it delivered big. Bacon, Egg, Cheese sandwich was outstanding. Bread was fresh homemade and very thin light crisp with soft middle and bacon was a super thick piece of meat with very little fat. The strawberry salad was fabulous. Fresh local veggies with fresh local strawberries full of flavor. And food was served fast and service was outstanding.
MIA O — Google review
I had heard so much about this place, I just had to try it. Now I have been three times and I have only been in Boquete 10 days!! That's gotta say something! The place is often packed but I have always found a table inside or out. And luckily enough, they allow Stella, my beautiful Labradoodle, to come as well. The patio is my fave but it really doesn't matter as long as you have a table. First time I ordered the Thai Wrap. OMG! It was so incredibly delish! It had everything in it! It was hot and juicy. I burnt my mouth but I kept on eating. LOL. I still think about that wrap! Next time I went I had a burger! Now I am a burger snob! But this was a whole level beyond AWESOME! First off it was HUGE! Just the patty alone was thick, juicy and well cooked. Then it had all the fixings. Plus they brought some ketchup for the fries. And those were fresh and hot! Yummy! And although it was tough to beat the other two dishes, I ordered the chimichangas. Now I have had some pretty good chimichangas in my time but nothing like these. And with the hot sauce, they were to die for. To Die For!! Plus they came with rice and beans and a salad!! Nothing I ordered was more than 8$. Wow!! Even with the Canadian exchange, it was inexpensive!! So would I recommend the Boquete Sandwich Shop? YES, emphatically, YES!! Another bonus I found was the other customers. They were all so friendly. I met some really kind people there. And so helpful to this newbe! I will definitely go back. But I will try something new! Maybe a breakfast, which is available all day long!! How sweet is that?!! Come and check it out. I guarantee you won't leave disappointed!
Lyn M — Google review
Great food, great service, outside dining. The salad was extraordinarily good, breakfast was well cooked with fluffy pancakes, fruit and bacon.
Sandy A — Google review
The bathrooms and up front areas are all nice and clean. You can count on consistently good food with attentive and pleasant servers who act like they want to be there. Sometimes the food doesn't all come at one time which leaves one of us with a cold plate of food waiting. We've been here a few times and have been always pleased. The burgers and breakfasts are great and there is even a good selection of vegetarian choices. It's usually busy and we will go back
Michael P — Google review
Great little spot for breakfast and they serve it all day. Many many items on the menu and I plan to try every one of them. Highly recommend a beer and any sandwich for lunch. The beer mugs are ice cold and ice encrusted and hands down the coldest beer mugs I have ever seen. Cute servers too, and some........ very cute. I see some whining and crying from one and two star reviews. Just goes to show you.... you cannot be all things to all people... all the time. Best you entitled snowflakes with allergies and intolerances (and kids) go to McDonalds or Burger King for their healthy choice options. Update: It was suggested I re-think the short paragraph that previously occupied this space. Can be a bit of a rambler at times. No harm intended except to the entitled who come to this country with no more thought than getting into their Lexus and driving 40' to their mailbox in LA. Whose hungry?
De D — Google review
Very good breakfast and lunch menu. We were here for brunch. Service was good and servers was friendly. Due to the volume of people our meals came out as they were ready so some of our party had eaten before the others were served but that was the only flaw in an otherwise great meal.

Cafe
Nestled in the heart of Boquete's central plaza, Buckle Tip Coffee Studio is a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts and casual visitors alike. As one of the first stops you’ll encounter upon arriving by bus, this charming café pays homage to Boquete’s rich coffee heritage. The owner, Arturo, is a passionate storyteller who delights in sharing insights about the local coffee culture with guests.
I did the coffee tasting experience today and it was better than I expected. The servers Nair and Andres were a wealth of knowledge and explained the science behind the 4 coffees that I tasted including where it was grown, the details of the process and how each detail makes a difference in coffee taste. The coffee itself was great! No cream or sugar needed. Especially the Geisha coffee! Wow! But what made my experience at Buckle Tip memorable were the servers. I hung out for well over an hour just drinking coffee and chatting. They even let me do a pour over myself! Such a simple yet unforgettable experience. Thank you Andres and Nair!!

We went h having heard good things about the coffee here. And it was! So nothing to complain about there. But I did also order at maracuya cheesecake, it was not very good.. I don’t know if it was old or just not to my liking. It was very firm on the consistency and didn’t taste a lot. And it wasn’t only me, my girlfriend didn’t like it as well. I also felt over of the guys working there kept looking at us while we were there, which seemed a bit strange. Anyway the coffee was really good and the staff was friendly nonetheless.
Søren W — Google review
You will get a great tasting coffe here. I went here several times during my stay in Boquete. They also have some sandwiches and cakes, but most are "sold out" even early in the morning. Have cow milk alternative for you latte like soy and almond (but some are "sold out").
Johan B — Google review
We’re visiting beautiful Boquete for a couple of days and I love coffee so I was excited to try the geisha variant while we’re here. When I read the reviews I felt this was the place to try it. I was hoping for a little more explanation about the different variants but instead the staff shoved the pots of geisha beans my way to check myself when I asked about the different geisha variants. We also felt we weren’t really welcome, the whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth and by the time we got our coffee we just really wanted to get out. When reading the other reviews I feel we just came at a bad time and we also hope the staff that helped us is doing okay.
Rik — Google review
This is the place in Boquete to go for a really good coffee! They make an amazing cappuccino with a perfectly balanced taste from local beans from Finca Maria. I went there twice during my time in town. Don’t miss this spot!
Annika B — Google review
Buckle Tip totally blew me away. It felt like more than just a coffee stop — the whole experience was curated with care and intention, and I left feeling so happy I stumbled upon it. The coffee was out of this world (seriously, some of the best I’ve ever had), and I picked up a few beautiful gifts for myself and friends. The space is lovely, the team is kind and knowledgeable, and everything just felt… right. If you love good coffee or just want something a little special in Boquete, go.
Elizabeth B — Google review
The reason I love this little coffee shop is because the service is very friendly, the coffee of course is good, but also it is right on the plaza in Boquete. The other day I had some time and I ventured into this coffee shop and bought an Americano for $3 and sat just outside the door under a short overhang which allowed me to watch the rain come down and the people pass by. It's just a nice place to sit and enjoy local activity.
Jaye R — Google review
Walk into this coffee shop because it was recommended to me by someone in Panama City and I am glad I listen. The staff was awesome. They gave us coffee experience with out us even asking for one. We got to try a geisha coffee in different style mugs to see the difference in taste. Great explanation of coffee and the process to brew coffee the right way. Definitely stop by if you are a coffee lover, and if you aren’t stop by and learn about coffee and how and why it is so good.

Fantastic bakery. The people are all super friendly, the bread and pastrys are fantastic. The coffee is good. Nice outdoor sitting area. Fresh bread comes out around Noon. I came here several times during my trip to Boquete.

We came to Morton’s Bake House for lunch with a group of 12—and everything was absolutely perfect. From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive, warm, and incredibly accommodating for a large group. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it was the hearty mains, fresh salads, or the baked goods that followed—everything hit the mark. It’s not easy to impress a group of twelve people, but Morton’s delivered across the board. Highly recommended for both small and large gatherings. We’ll definitely be back!

What a wonderful family business! They made our PRT group feel very welcomed. There was mentioned of the daughter winning a baking contest so it was recommended to try the brownies. Yes, the brownies are DELICIOUS and the daughter deserved the award! Oh, and the sugar free vanilla ice cream needs to be sold in bigger containers!!

One of the best highlights of my first trip to Panamá! The food was delicious. I highly recommend stopping by for lunch. The owners stopped by our table and welcomed us. Very sweet family owned establishment.
Jamie S — Google review
I had a great meal here provided by the American expat owners of the establishment. I ate bbq chicken with potatoes. My boyfriend had the same and said it was the best meal he had in Panama. The food was very fresh. And the owners were very friendly and welcoming. I noticed that others around me were eating salmon and potatoes, salads, and mushroom onion burgers. They also had mint lemonade and iced tea with agave sugar on the side. Their daughter has a bakery of sorts next-door and sells all kinds of goodies. If you’re in Panama and you’re looking for American inspired food, I would highly recommend this restaurant.

The workers were amazing and the food was perfect. The loaded potato was so smooth and tasted like perfection. There was a mr potato head for my daughter Ziva to play. The Mac and cheese that she got was so creamy and delicious and the turkey burger that my son got was soft and very tasty. And the chicken meal was tender that my wife got was amazing

Was recommended by a local and it was definitely great food. Something my taste buds enjoyed the most till now in my trip to Panama. I asked for a hot sauce, which after tasting the salad, i did not need as the salad was already yummy! But after tasting the habanero sauce, it was awesome. They even sell the sauce. I loved that i did not have to struggle ordering in Espanol and could speak in English to the lady who took the order

The Perfect Pair Coffee & Chocolate in Boquete is a must-visit destination for coffee and chocolate enthusiasts. The establishment offers an engaging chocolate-making class where participants can create their own full-size chocolate bars to take home, accompanied by complimentary high-quality hot chocolate or coffee. The cafe, located on the second floor, provides a relaxing retreat from the sun and serves specialty coffees grown in Boquete paired with artisanal chocolates sourced from nearby Belize.
Best hot chocolate of my life (and I am from a foodie city in the West Coast of the US). People were great; I asked for a less sweet hot chocolate, and they made me a custom one using their vegan mix with regular milk, so that they could reduce the sweetness per my request. I went there every day during my stay in Boquete! Highly recommended!
Larissa W — Google review
Delicious! The hot chocolate was really good (beware tho, it does have a lot of cinnamon in it so if you don’t like cinnamon, ask without or don’t have it). The banana bread was good too, it came warmed up. I came back again and tried the carrot cake and it was really good, thoroughly enjoyed !

Had a great latte with soy milk here, and a couple of dark pralines. The coconut one was great, the passion fruit OK. Have a large indoor seating, as well as an upstairs couches indoor and some tables outdoors (under roof). If you are unable to connect to the wifi, use a static IP address instead of DHCP.
Johan B — Google review
Wow! The flavors are huge! Got the sea salt Carmel dark chocolate and passionfruit dark Chocolate and they were amazing! The passion fruit explodes with flavor in your mouth! I love that they are strong and not faint. The chocolate itself was very smooth and excellent! You can sit downstairs or they have a very comfortable upstairs area that even overlooks the city with an outdoor space! Coffee went very well with the chocolate!
Elizabeth W — Google review
Lovely little shop with the best hot cocoa I've ever had. I drank an iced mocha drink that was more exotic, rich and creamy than any I've ever had. That prompted me to buy a bag of Cho Col'Ha mix to add to my coffee every morning at home.
Sylvia Y — Google review
They are in a perfect location, right in the heart of boquete. Their hot chocolate is one of the best ever. The thing that they should work on its in the layout of the store. Their have all the products facing back to you when you enter. The store looks old, dark and outdated.
Evelyn L — Google review
This is likely the best place in town for both coffee and chocolate. I thought the cappuccino was very good. It was even brought up to us on the second floor. I have to mention that the nanaimo bar was delicious. It is a chocolate pie with what seems like cream cheese inside. Very sweet but the quality of the ingredients is impressive. The second floor has couches, chairs and tables like that of a real cafe. It is cozy and relaxed. If you want the full visual experience, then sit on the outside balcony where you can watch the movement of people on the streets. The prices are high but that should not surprise you in this touristy spot in the middle of main street. The place also offers two paid activities - an on-site tour where you can taste the cacao and a class where you can create your own chocolate. According to their website, they practice social responsibility by helping local families in need. Very nice.
Panama G — Google review
Coffee has a good taste with some cacao flavor. Actually they have a free cup of their own made cacao for testing. A lot of different sweets are a available, hadn’t try them, but they do looks delicious. You can also do a cacao crafting experience inside the shop.

Lovely quiet and serene outdoor patio. Nice variety to the menu and the food we had was superb. Turkey wrap was delicious and the salad we had was over the top great !!! Music “tranquilo” and bathrooms very clean. Overall a great place to eat, linger over a cup of coffee, and have one of their delicious deserts !

Good food and great quiet location next to the big park in town away from traffic. My only recommendation is to please find more discreet security measures, the barb wire facing the park feels a bit too much like being in prison :) Maybe add some crawling plants to cover it? Boquete appears to be a very safe town so I was a bit surprised. Maybe the fence belongs to the park? Anyway, not trying to criticize, on the contrary, trying to help out because I enjoyed your place.

Cafe
Kotowa Coffee House - Los Establos is a popular spot in Boquete, Panama, known for its distinctive Panamanian twist on coffee. It's part of a major Panamanian coffee producer with its own farms and the country's oldest processing facility. The coffee house offers a wide range of drinks including slushee-type beverages and other treats. For those feeling adventurous, there's a full coffee shop at the Boquete Tree Trek location, offering stunning views in a forest environment.
Don't tell the Starbucks people, but there's really good coffee (hot chocolate too) here, in addition to handcrafted chocolates and delectable pastries. Uniquely Panamanian, friendly service in a casual cool environment. If you havent tried Geisha Coffee, the jewel of Panamanian coffee, heres your chance. Whether or not its the perfect cup of coffee, well thats up to you, but this is your chance to truly taste culture. Enjoy, because you will.

Hate to leave negative reviews but we came here for a hot chocolate (expensive) that was warm at best. When we approached the baristas to ask them to heat it they were very rude. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

I simply love their coffee and chai. Right now I'm enjoying the iced caramel sugar free latte. Really delicious. The food I have not yet tried, so cannot say anything. This place has an awesome WiFi 😄

We decided to go coffee shop hopping one day in coffee capital of Panamá in a village called Bajo Boquete. We picked out two coffee shops and Kotowa was one. They are in a small plaza and the store is cozy. Seating was available and guests friendly. Service was excellent as was the coffee. Look, this in the best coffee in the world. We never had a bad cup or tumbler 😉. They have pastries and chocolates to pair with your brew. Highly recommended, so it's worth making the trip from wherever you are to experience a better cup than you can imagine. My beautiful wife said, "we've been drinking trash" in the USA and paying 3 to 4 times the real price. From now on, we're ordering Panamanian coffee from that company with the name of a Brazilian river...🤷‍♂️😂👍💯

Our favorite Cafe shop in Boquete and our first stop when we come to town. Great coffee, staff, and location. We enjoy sitting at the tables just outside in the Los Establos Plaza and taking in all the activity around us in this central location.

Kotowa Chocolate Victoria is a delightful spot just outside of town, offering a tempting selection of individual chocolates and an array of coffee options. The macchiato pairs perfectly with the velvety chocolate, creating a warm explosion of flavor. In addition to the average coffee varieties, visitors can indulge in cakes, biscuits, sandwiches, and of course, chocolates. The cafe provides a pleasant environment with friendly staff and impressive presentation.

Had high hopes for a hot chocolate from a chocolate cafe but it was just OK. The 45% had a nice chocolate flavour but with a really strong undertaste of cheese 🤔 not sure if the milk was off or what but it wasn't a good taste addition. Really wished they'd asked if I wanted marshmallows on top because I can't eat them so they just went to waste. Also it cost almost $6 which was too expensive for the quality.
Rhiannon — Google review
We came to buy some chocolate per a local's recommendation and stayed for a hot chocolate. We tried the 60% and 100% hot chocolates and they were both delicious, very flavorful and not overly sweet.
Steph C — Google review
I love this cafe! Staff is super nice. Chocolates are delicious. They also sell Geisha coffee beans and artisnal chocolates. I bought so many chocolates for my friends back home. Ambience is so elegant and if the day is nice and breezy they have comfortable outdoor sitting as well.
Avinesh W — Google review
Beautiful chocolates prepared very well. I really loved the hot chocolate, and the marshmallows made it so creamy. Just an FYI, the chocolates are all made with 70% cacao. They don't use milk in any of their chocolates. I'm not sure if it was the owner or manager, but there was one woman there who was very helpful and answered all of our questions patiently. I think this is the better of the two chocolate shops in town.
Sarah N — Google review
I rarely leave bad or average reviews here but this place was quite a disappointment. Even though some of chocolate was ok (I.e, truffle and tres leches) the others were not good at all. Pistachio chocolate was very bad… when you spend over 100$ on a chocolate you expect this to be top notch but when you can’t eat more than half of what you bought, it’s a 3 stars reviews. On a positive note, staff were friendly and interior design was cool.
DemanDuSoleil — Google review
Enjoyed my visit and my favorite, well made mocchiato! Nice environment, friendly people, clean and comfortable, public bathroom, credit cards accepted, covid temp check and hand cleaner at the entrance. Even a little Halloween spookiness too. It's a five star review today folks!

Cafe Ruiz is a must-visit spot for coffee enthusiasts and curious travelers alike. The cafe offers an engaging coffee tour that showcases the entire process of cultivating, harvesting, and processing coffee. Visitors are treated to a wealth of information and insights, making it an interesting experience even for those who aren't avid coffee drinkers.
If ordering coffee from their website, you will not be disappointed. I've been a customer for probably 6-8 years now and every 4 months you order. They ship it from Panama 🇵🇦 by boat to San Diego where they FedEx it to you. Geisha is off the chain good and not overly priced!!

We were lucky and were able to watch two containers being loaded with coffee bags for Taiwan. At the end of the tour there is a coffee tasting and the opportunity to buy coffee from the plantation you just visited. Just great! The plantation looks more like a secret garden than an ordinary orchard. In addition to coffee, there are also large fruit trees (oranges, avocados, bananas), which provide pleasant shade and are a shelter for local birds. The roots of these additional trees also maintain the landform and prevent erosion. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the BCPs Clubhouse or other nearby options like El Sabroson #3, Sandwich Shop, or Big Daddys. Treat yourself to a tasty gelato at La Ghiotta. Restaurante El Sabrosón #3 offers a variety of dishes including multigrain rice with meat and salad served with a flavorful sauce. While the chicken can be slightly dry, the plantains are quite satisfying for their price.
Great for a quick and cheap bite. Pick a rice and two meats and they'll make you a plate for $5 -- or add anything else.

Its that simplified, inexpensive, homemade goodness on your lips. If locals eat there, Im in. Choose your rice, choose your meat(s), choose a side, choose a salad. Now go sit down, and eat. Never complicated, freshly made and predictably good enough. Its comfort craving and satisfying.

Restaurante El Sabrosón 3 is, in all aspects, far superior to its sister restaurant Sabrosón 1. Better service, better cooked food, more variety, better facilities, nicer atmosphere. With that said, it also has the same prices, and consequently suffers from a similar issue insofar that you can get better Fonda type food for a lower price elsewhere in Panama. It was still a very nice breakfast and lunch and I highly recommend you visit this restaurant; it is a shame that it is rated slightly worse than #1, and seems less well known and popular.

We bought Volcan and Geisha coffee yesterday. Unfortunately we didn't check the expiration dates immediately, Volcan coffee expires today. To make it even worse we came to the shop today morning to try to replace it, but the shop was still closed even though in Google Maps it says that it's open. After this experience we cannot recommend this shop. It's better to buy coffee directly at Don Pepe when you do a tour (also cheaper).

This is not a place that I would recommend going to if you want a good cup of coffee. There cappuccinos taste watered down because they do not use a nice dark roast Italian instead they use just regular coffee which is weak and pretty tasteless. Café Princesa Janca is a delightful spot nestled in the picturesque town of Boquete, Panama. This charming café not only serves up delicious coffee but also offers visitors an immersive experience with its on-site plantation tours and engaging coffee tasting sessions. Guests can explore the fascinating museum that showcases the family's rich history intertwined with coffee cultivation and Panamanian politics.
We did a quick stop at a cafe here, and we're served by a very friendly and wonderful old man. The milk shakes were tasty, the carrot cake was fresh and moist and coffee good, and the prices very modest. Really nice place where you can feel the history. Unfortunately, it was empty compared to a more modern cafe at another coffee plantation nearby, but I very much preferred this one.

The hot chocolate was great but felt too concentrated initially, but thankfully they added more milk and it tasted better. It’s such a nice space to take pictures, with a nice fresh breeze if you sit outside. But they’re known for their coffee and from talking to my family they loved the fresh cup of coffee because of course nothing compares to having a cup from where it was grown, and grinded. It’s not the same as buying the powder and making it at home. So definitely check it out!

For all day breakfasts, or just a nice coffee spot. It may cost you $10 for breakfast, but that also includes a drink. The coffee is very good here, and there are even small coffee plants at each table. The outside area is fully covered on top, so the shade and eating area are very comfortable, and very Panamanian. The food itself is very high quality and plentiful. The staff are really polite and super friendly. I recommend this spot to all my fellow Canadians. It’s a gem in the rough.

Mounelli, located inside Isla Verde Hotel, is a must-visit in Boquete. The Belgian expat couple who own it are serious about coffee, with the wife being an award-winning coffee taster and the husband offering healing arts classes upstairs. The space is a gorgeous glass-enclosed octagon serving healthy breakfast and small dishes made with wholesome ingredients. While it may be hard to find without a sign on the road, visitors have enjoyed great coffee and pleasant conversations with the owners.
Absolutely amazing little cafe/breakfast place with speciality coffee. The atmosphere is wonderful, food fresh, nutritious and very delicious. I greatly appreciated the European style bread! Not the biggest portions but still very decent and beautifuly plated. Coffee was fenomenal and the owners absolutely sweet and knowledgeable on the different types of coffees they serve. They told me about how they work together with the fincas and shared alot of their thoughts and knowledge on Panama. Would greatly recommend comming. The cafey is hard to find tho and looks like its in the middel of a resort or private area. I felt a bit wierd walking in, but worth it! Had the most amazing breakfast at Mounelli today. The food is super delicious and the atmosphere is very inviting. The place is run by a nice couple who are highly knowledgeable about coffee. A must try when in Boquete!

I found that hidden gem when walking around in Boquete. At first I wasn't aware of it as it is a bit hidden from the main street. Luckily I ran into the owner who told me that they had recently opened and offered me and my sister some amazing coffee. I learned that this comes from local farms and is freshly roasted in Boquete. I would definitely recommend it. The Ambiente is cozy, authentic and clean.
