Had a lovely experience dining here. We had 2 hangry young kids and the staff were very considerate, bringing colouring books and pencils to help settle them while we waited for the food. The food came promptly and portions were generous and was well made. The menu was interesting and had good variety. Definitely would recommend coming here.

A great place by the water, the food is nice but not out of this world, but any drop in quality is made up for in value. I had the fish burger and the portion size was great, there is a tonne of fish on the burger, pluse it comes with fries and a salad. All this across the road from the beach. Definitely recommend

Lovely place for coffee and breakfast. Weather was perfect today and there are undercover tables as well as indoor seating. Friendly and welcoming staff especially the young dark haired girl was very helpful in getting our order and menus as we sat down. That makes so much of a positive difference to the experience of going somewhere for the first time. I had the bacon and egg roll. I should have asked for bbq sauce but it was still delicious with the house made in guessing harissa paste. The salmon was a bit on the burnt side but the kimchi was a nice surprise.

I had such a great time here! What stood out the most was how kind and welcoming the staff were—their hospitality really made the experience special. The service was amazing, which made the meal even better. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered the chicken salad and fish and chips to share between the three of us, and the portions were so generous that we were completely full by the end. Sitting outside with an ocean view while enjoying our meal was such a comforting and relaxing experience. Everything about this place—the food, the service, and the atmosphere—was just perfect.

Had a lovely brunch with a group of ladies here. I took forever to decide, but our server was so patient! The pork belly summer salad was fresh, generous, and delicious. As a sweet surprise, the owner gave us free muffins on the way out. I saved mine for afternoon tea at the hotel...berry, moist, and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!
Christina — Google review
Absolutely delish. We had the Big Belly Breakfast, Breakfast Tacos and Breakfast Sandwich, all of which were delicious. Coffee was great too but a little on the small side and I ordered extra hot which bot wasn’t. Other than that, loved it
Shaun L — Google review
I ordered the breaky burger—really tasty, with a great combo of halloumi, egg, and a delicious beetroot sauce that tied it all together. My friend had the breaky taco, which came with scrambled eggs and beef—also super flavorful. Nice portions, fresh ingredients, and a cozy vibe. Would definitely come back!

Indulge in the laid-back atmosphere of Island Time Espresso Bar, where you can immerse yourself in a menu filled with unique and tropical-inspired dishes. This Australian coastal twist on exotic cuisine offers a variety of options throughout the day. Whether you're in the mood for a fresh and healthy island bowl or a classic breakfast like BLT or B&Es, this cafe has got you covered. For lunch, choose from an array of tacos, burgers, and poke bowls.
Lovely brunch over at Terrigal this morning at Island Time Espresso Bar with my mum and daughter. Mum ordered the Big Kahuna, as you can see; pictures don’t do justice, you need to order and have it for yourself. My little one had a waffle from the Kid’s Breakfast menu and i had the most amazing açai bowl with fresh seasonal fruit. Now, this isn’t the first time i’ve been here, i visited last year aswell with my mum, we must say that the proportions of what we ordered, have gotten bigger in size. (Definitely not complaining about that). Keep being amazing and serving great food.
Alicia J — Google review
Very nice meals. Table service was a little slow, but the waitress was friendly & helpful. Opposite the Terrigal beach & very relaxing.
Deborah J — Google review
The cafe itself is in a nice spot and looks nice, when we sat it took the staff 20 minutes to serve us and i had to ask the staff member if we ordered at the table or counter as we had waited quite sometime, the member of staff i asked rolled her eyes at my question. The drinks and food came out pretty quickly after ordering which was nice but my burger was 50% lettuce and the tomato was thick and full of the stem, more than likely will not be back, the staff doesnt exactly make you feel welcome at all :/ Not to mention the birds that walk around pooping everywhere🤮
Audrey K — Google review
Dropped in today around 12pm. Sat down at a table in the sun which had not been cleared. I piled all the items up so it made it easier for staff when collecting. Sat down for at least 5 mins without a single staff member coming outside. The young girl who finally came out took an order at a table of 4 people in the shade and proceeded to still ignore us. She then came out again and went to another table and straightened the items on the table and collected a couple of items. Still no-one so we decided to leave. This has always been a problem with this cafe. I'm not sure who oversees the staff but maybe it would be a better idea to scrap the table service and let people order inside. This is not the first time this happened. I'm very hesitant to dine here for this reason however the person I was with wanted to.
Linda J — Google review
Came here for a solo breakfast date, which I regret. The young staff make it very clear that you are an inconvenience. Although the surrounds are lovely, the atmosphere is uncomfortable because of the attitudes of staff. Staff were all unfriendly and unhelpful, eye rolling etc. unless you are “young and hip” I wouldn’t bother with this place. Note; I am not a fussy customer, I am still genuinely shocked by how I was treated considering all I did was order my food and pay. To clarify, I am 27.
Zahlia T — Google review
I came for breaky on saturday morning, I ordered a coffee and about 5 minutes later I ordered the eggs Benny, unfortunately the eggs were over-done, and my coffee arrived afte my breaky, but the bacon was good and plentyful, the hollandaise sauce was also cold, the staff were nice especially the ones on the coffee counter.
Rebel — Google review
I have a whole host of weird neurodivergent food needs. Most cafes are dismissive at best. The server here was absolutely gold star amazing making sure my meal would be perfect for me. It was delicious and the staff are absolutely amazing.
Aski B — Google review
This food is amazing! So generous on their portion sizes and the food is extremely fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the bowls - all of them!

Situated by the water, it also provides accommodation facilities and conference venues. The popular peppertree restaurant is an additional highlight of this establishment. With its airy atmosphere and outdoor seating, Aromas On Sea is praised for its delicious food and extensive menu options. Customers appreciate the efficient service with minimal waiting time for both drinks and meals.
It's my first time here and I love everything about the experience. The food was amazing and the coffee was exceptional. As someone who is picky about my coffee, the coffee blend used was perfect. I had NO heart palpitation after taking the coffee. The coffee reminds me of my favourite cafe in Dubai. Also, the Staffs were nice and friendly.
Sarah O — Google review
What a wonderful way to spend your breakfast by the sea at Aromas, Terrigal. The food and atmosphere were so pleasant. The meals big (warning if you've had a big meal the night before!!) Haha. We sat outside in the front courtyard, lovely views of the water, and a light Ocean breeze in May 2025. We felt very privileged to visit this area...a very nice part of the world. 😁 A little bit of upgrading going on and a busy Sunday morning with a Junior Rugby game being played, so parking was limited. We happily walked back to the busy street via the new cliff-face walkway. See photo. Thanks for the experience.

I recently visited Aromas Cafe ☕ at Terrigal Beach 🏖️, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! The coffee ☕ was absolutely delicious, perfectly brewed and aromatic, just as the name suggests. The service was exceptional, with friendly staff who were attentive and welcoming throughout my visit. I also found the food incredibly satisfying, with a range of tasty options to choose from. Overall, I wholeheartedly give Aromas Cafe a 5-star rating, and I highly recommend it! #TerrigalBeach #AromasCafe #CoffeeLover #Foodie #GreatService #5StarReview

It was a great quick lunch. Loved the place & atmosphere. Very friendly staff which I really like & enjoyed. My kids has steak & a burger. It was really good. An awesome place to dine & highly recommend to anyone 👌

The food is exceptional and had the most amazing service given by Kylie. We didn’t want to get up from our seats so she even offered to take a photo of the cake menu for us :) loved this place and will come back again soon Xx
Cheyenne L — Google review
Another place that controls you by telling you, you can't have lunch before 1200. Breakfast menu to 1200, lunch menu after 1200. No flexibility, so if your one of those that eats breakfast and early and is keen for lunch at 1130, this is not the place for you. For the price of one breakfast, and a side of hash brown and sausage, plus two hot drinks, some $55.00. Hash browns were sizable though. Views and settings are great. Service, nothing flash.
Gjcc73 — Google review
I booked tables for 40 people after a Zumba function so we could eat and drink and continue our celebrations. Correspondence was easy through email. Tables ready and as I requested. Food yummy. Margarita's amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful outdoor venue. That nice that I returned for breakfast the following day. Thank you
Terry T — Google review
Was looking forward to coffee and cake on the lovely comfortable chairs with my wife and informed the coffee was ok to have there, but cannot eat there, so had to move to the cafeteria style table and chairs. What’s the use of a coffee shop and not being able to enjoy. Not to self… More comfortable at home! Staff were friendly enough

We went to an International Women's Day function here. I never think to go here as think of it just as a little restaurant for the motel but it is so much more!! It is small but beautifully decorated making it a lovely space. The food was delicious and the staff were all friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back!

Bacon and egg roll with coffee for only $12! Had a perfect breakfast on the beach. Roll was huge and delicious! Highly recommend.
Sho K — Google review
This cafe is a standout! The award they’ve won for best breakfast on the central coast is well deserved, however what sets this place apart is the service the staff provided. We stayed at the adjoining hotel and had breakfast here multiple times during our stay. Every meal we had there, the staff went above and beyond and were incredibly friendly and polite. It was what made us keep going back! If you love fluffy scrambled eggs - make sure you order a dish with them here as they do them perfectly! Great views of the lagoon outside The Clan with some outside tables available!

We have had the most amazing Breakfast experience at the Maccoa Breakfast Cafe, at The Clan Motel in Terrigal. Because of Covid we are 9 months late and celebrating 50 years (and 9 month) honeymoon anniversary. The staff are fabulous and the food beautiful. 😋 Thankyou.

Terrigal Surf Café is the perfect spot for anyone craving a beachy breakfast, brunch, or lunch experience. With stunning views of Terrigal Beach, it offers a delightful atmosphere that enhances your dining experience. The coffee here is top-notch and pairs wonderfully with their juicy burgers. While the grilled fish could use a bit more attention in cooking, it remains tender and flavorful. The service at the café is fantastic, making it an ideal place to relax after a swim while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
Fantastic service, atmosphere & food at the Surf Cafe. Coffee great, heater on after a swim whilst taking in the view. Andy and the team do a terrific job in a busy and iconic location.

Terrigal Surf Cafe is a lovely spot to grab a bite and enjoy the views. The atmosphere is chill, perfect for a relaxed morning or afternoon in Terrigal. Food was decent, nothing blew me away but it hit the spot. Service was friendly. Would go back for the views and vibes, maybe next time the food will knock it out of the park. 3 stars for now!
Aaron G — Google review
Nice view but the worst coffee. Nice location overlooking Terrigal Beach. Coffee however is unfortunately horrendous to say the least. $1 difference between small and Large. $5.50 for takeaway cup without a lid!! Service for just a coffee was really slow as well. Sorry but I give this only 1 star ⭐️. Lots of other coffee places just a few steps from there.
AD V — Google review
Barista poor attitude in making the coffee, got the order wrong, gave me a take away instead of a cup, asked to have here she just pored the coffee in a mug, if your going to charge 8 dollars for a coffee show a bit of love what you making and doing.
Tony P — Google review
Great location, however the food and juice let it down. Juice was not fresh as advertised and $11! One dish was basically inedible. Don't like leaving bad reviews but we spent $200 and it wasn't a good experience.
James R — Google review
If you want a beach vibe breakfast, brunch, lunch or in-between, this place is for you. Spectacular views of Terrigal Beach and beyond. Coffee was excellent and burger was juicy. Grilled fish was overly cooked, my only criticism, flesh was falling apart. Having said that it was tender and tasty.
Edelicious B — Google review
Great location, great views but that is where it ends being positive. Five of us had lunch there today and we all just looked at each other halfway through the meal and exclaimed how below par and ordinary lunch was. They could have been fined by fisheries for using undersize fish on the Barra burger! Nothing good to say about the rest of the meals that were left half eaten. Such a shame given the location. Definitely will not be back.
Jenny F — Google review
Service was prompt, staff seem friendly. Food is very much mediocre, chips come unsalted, pancakes more like piklets. Price for quality is horrendous.

Very busy spot and cafe! Definitely dog friendly and great place to grab food and coffee on a nice sunny day! It’s a casual cafe right across from the beach! There are few food options on the menu but what tickled our fancy was the beef brisket toastie and chilli beef brisket burger. Brisket was tender enough and depending on what you feel like having - saucy burger or a cheesy toastie, you’ll select respectively. Coffee was good too! Love it when you order a long black (single O) it’s served with sparkly/ soda water. Hubby went for the Ona blends that day ( can’t remember) but either the aspen or maple is good. Orders to be placed inside and paid on the spot as their turn around is fast and they are very busy! The service staff are good, attentive, friendly and checked in to make sure alls good. One thing good if you have a sweet tooth and if you’re the one doing the ordering, there are sweet treats selection to temp you! I caved in and ordered the custard cronut and it was DELICIOUS!! Filled with lots of yummy custard! For the husband who doesn’t quite like custard he rated it too! Enjoyed the overall experience and will try more of the breakfast menu next time when our tummy calls out more! Worth mentioning again, definitely a dog friendly cafe too! So bring your fur baby down to chillax and finish it off with a walk along the broad walk along the waters!

This place is awesome! Great food & coffee and really lovely staff. They made us feel so welcome & love their quirky sense of humour. You can tell they love their job. I had the avocado toast with a poached egg and side of smoked salmon. You can see and taste the quality of the produce. My husband enjoyed his burger (no photo, he ate it too fast) and our daughter enjoyed the kids toastie. Definitely recommend

Food and atmosphere was nice, there was a lot of sun and it was next to a nice park. Close to everything.
