Lamayuru Restaurant August 2023: The service is great, the ingredients are fresh, the menu is vast (it has just about anything your taste-buds might be desiring). I absolutely LOVED the Mango Smoothie Bowl (with seeds, nuts, honey, fresh fruit, cinnamon, etc...); it's the best thing I've had in Leh, so far, during both my trips here. Their Pad Thai Pak veg noodles were really good, too. They also have free wifi and a restroom, both of which are MUSTS for me in Leh. And it's situated very close to Leh Main Market Street, so it's convenient to visit. I'll definitely return to try more from their menu, and I'll add in pics and comments when I do. 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This lamayauru setup seems to be different from the older pics seen here in the previous reviews. Now it’s a lovely outdoor kind of a setup and is just lovely. The food was good, we had momos, khambir and mutton shapta and service was also prompt. One of better restaurant experiences for me this time in Leh

Went in for lunch and liked the food and ambience so much that i went back for dinner again the next day . The fresh apricot juice was one of the most memorable dishes in this trip for me and I still think about it 😋 Tingmo and thukpa was also great The service is also good and the ambience is so quiet and charming. Highly recommended

This place is a little gem in Leh :) A little out of the busy area, it has a beautiful and quiet outdoor area under the trees. We only tried the Indian food (came back several times) and it was delicious, and the service is friendly, can only recommend !

Lamayuru Restaurant in Ladakh was an absolute delight. The Shakshouka was rich, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the refreshing tang of Seabuckthorn juice. The highlight of the meal, however, was Tingmo with Shapta—soft, fluffy steamed buns alongside perfectly spiced stir-fried meat that everyone at the table loved. A cozy spot that captures both authenticity and warmth, making it a must-visit when exploring Ladakh’s culinary gems.

We loved the place. Friendly staff. Great spread of a menu. Yummy food. The outside seating was beautiful. They accommodated all our requests, and mind you, we were a big group. Totally recommend.

This was the first restaurant we tried in Leh. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was quite serene. Their menu offered a wide variety of options, and the food was enjoyable.

I went to this restaurant with high hopes, assuming it has good rating and middle of the market location leads more to the credibility, but my experience was the least expected. The service is pathetic. At least, in my case, it was. The waiter took our orders, which were a pizza, butter tea and watermelon juice. Nothing fancy, time consuming. And then the wait started. 20 min later the waiter comes and tells sir, the pizza cannot be made as the base is finished. We say, okay, no problem. Please do grilled sandwiches instead. He obliges and goes back to the kitchen. And then the wait startes. 20 min later, we get our tea and juice. At this point it is 40 min past the original order time. We still accept and ask to expedite the Sandwich order please. But, time goes on and on and we do not get our order. People who came after us got their order and even started leaving after finishing. 40 min later, after politely telling the waiter that we are leaving and please let us know the bill, he does get the sandwiches, which haven't been grilled at all( I have shared the picture). You can compare it with the pics other people have uploaded. Overall, the taste was good, ambience was good as well, but the service ruined the experience. So, if you are planning to go here, keep this in mind, for else avoid this place.

The yak cheese pizzzaa is to die for. I generally can eat only a few slices but i finished up the entire thing even after having a big fruit bowl before that❤️❤️

Had a sumptuous meal at Gesmo in Leh! We ordered the chicken thukpa and mutton momos, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The thukpa was rich, flavorful, and perfect for the chilly weather—comforting in every bite. The mutton momos were juicy, well-seasoned, and came with a tasty dipping sauce that elevated the flavors even more. The service was warm and friendly, and the cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. Drop by if you’re in Leh and craving some hearty local food!

Great service and food! The menu is quite extensive and multicultural! We got the chicken salad, grilled burger, and grilled yak cheese sandwich. Definitely recommend :)

One of the best restaurants in Leh. Close to the Leh main market. Best option for authentic ladakhi delicacies. The ambience is good and so is the service. Don't miss trying the Yak cheese pizza.

OG Food joint if you want to experience really good food… umderdog of a place but if you know you will know and you never forget… they could work on the atmosphere a little bit though but I guess it establishes the whole vibe

Bon Appetit Restaurant and French Bakery 2023-2024- I enjoyed my food and tea. The place is very warm and welcoming, and the staff is helpful and polite. The food is made of good quality ingredients, and served fresh. It's also got an extensive menu, with just about anything you could want to eat listed on it: the range of what they serve is huge, so there's something for everyone. Worth a visit. And I'll definitely return to sample some of the other items on their vast menu. Edit: I returned on many occasions, bringing friends with me. And I was unwell during my July-August 2024 trip to Leh: during that time, I would order takeout from this restaurant, and they went out of their way to take good care of me, with healthy foods, while I was bed-bound and unwell. I'm very grateful to them. 🙏

Great clean healthy food. Awesome staff. They make great juices. Also make fantastic packed lunches for trekking. My partner and I have eaten here dozens of times and will keep coming back. Our favorite breakfast spot in Leh.

The Bon Appetit is a Leh institution on the backpackers circuit. It's location beside a now sadly sullied gurgling brook on Fort Road, and its colourful walls and décor, make it justifiably one of Leh's more popular restaurants. I'd occasion to check it out today, when I suddenly felt hungry late in the evening, on this very chilly day. I preferred sitting in the warm indoor space, to its popular outdoor seating with fine street views and great for people-watching. The interior walls are bright and colourful, the tables and chairs comfortable, and the staff friendly and attentive. The Bon Appetit's menu is eclectic, from Italian pizza and pasta to Tibetan thenthuk and thukpa. There's dosa too. I saw shahi tukda on the dessert menu, and I ordered it right away. I've fond childhood memories woven around this dessert, and it's hard to come by on menus across India. For the main course I decided to order something new - a gukbap ( a spicy soup). I ordered a non-vegetarian one, it came with rice, diced vegetables and peas, and pieces of shredded chicken. The shahi tukda was absolutely delicious and made my day. The gukbap that followed, was equally a dream. The vegetables fresh and crisp, the soup deliciously spicy. It was a complete meal in itself. After paying the bill, I thanked the staff and promised to come again. There's much to check out in Bon Appetit - the dosas for one.

Saw a proper-size dosa and came over to try, and it was up to my expectations for sure! Plenty of paneer, caramelized onion, extra filling upon my request, fresh coconut chutney, - very nutritious and tasty. Service was utterly attentive as well. Very glad to have come and tried 👌

(09/25) The place has a nice vibe and chilled atmosphere. We went for breakfast and were the only guests at that time - the service was fast and friendly. The food taste was good, although the interpretation of Shakshuka (without tomatoes) was unusual.

It’s a open roof restaurant with a lovely vibe. The service is pretty amazing. The owner himself is a very nice and warm person who takes care of his guests and makes sure everyone is attended well.

food was very tasty. if you want spicy just tell them to make medium spicy, else you wont be able to eat full meal. but yes the taste was actually very good . veg noodles, veg fried rice and veg Manchurian was very very delicious. They DO NOT ACCEPT CARDS ONLY GPAY/PAYTM/CASH so please keep in mind before going. food is a little bit expensive in comparison to other good quality food serving restaurants.. their staff was very polite and humble. i was not aware that this restaurant is a bar too. and they serve hukka too... and top of that its completely open air, so if you are family and dont like smell of hukka, then this place is not for you. because me and my family members also dont like hukka smell. so we wont go there again.. but food taste was actually good .

Had the best Matcha crepe here in 2021. Was searching for the name. But sad to see it’s temporarily closed. Hope it’s open again and I can go there by next year.

It was a last-minute decision to try the cakes and coffee at this cafe after having lunch at Gesmo Restaurant. The establishment is located on Old Fort Road, next to Ladakh Fitness Center. The space is small but nicely furnished. Apart from two tables that can seat 3 to 4 people, there are stools with a bar to one side of the room (for solo travelers, I presume). A glass display near the cash counter houses the cakes available. When we dropped in around 4:30 PM yesterday, there were only a few pieces of cake left. The price for a piece of cake is around Rs. 180. Other drinks and dishes are listed on the wall above the cooking area. There are different types of coffee and tea on offer. We ordered an Apricot cheesecake, a Matcha cake, a Chocolate roll, and two cups of coffee. My friends found the cakes delicious, but I did not feel the same. The Matcha cake did not have enough flavor in my opinion. And the cheesecake was too subtle for my Indian palate. I liked the chocolate cake, although I would have preferred more chocolate. On the whole, I think the flavors are more attuned to the western palate. Subtle and delicate. As I'm used to strong flavors, they did not hit the mark for me. The bill came to Rs. 750.

Great coffee shop in Leh with amazing coffee, matcha latte, breakfast, cakes. We highly recommend !

Very cute and small cafe. Service is excellent. We tried the iced latte, tuna sandwich and veg omelette. All were very well presented and the taste matched the high quality presentation. Good coffee, they grind fresh.

This Café offers the best coffee specialities in Leh, where good coffee ist quite rare to find. The location is not easy to spot but worth looking. The matcha cake was also a dream. The wooden design is hip. Recommended!

After the day we spotted this cafe, we on an average went 2-3 time daily for the next 7 days or so. The cafe is super cosy, cute, and the coffees are amazing. Staff is super warm and courteous, they make you feel at home. I also had the chance to have breakfast there and it was very tasty. A cute cafe with small menu but amazing taste and experience. The staff went above and beyond and made us apricot biscuits (which were off the menu) to make our anniversary special. We had an early breakfast here. The service was very good and the food was ok. We liked the bakery items (coconut cookies were very good) with the hot chocolate and masala tea but... the savory items like sandwiches, omelet, and the Israeli breakfast (eggs, hummus, etc) were somewhat bland for our tastes.

I have been here in July, 2012. This is a famous bakery in Leh. But if you want to have food it also serve for you. The special menu I have experience was Phad Thai! yes it serve Phad Thai. I am Thai so this is not miss for me the eat Phad Thai. The taste is very good, almost same as in Thai. I recommend you!

Located on Old fort Road in the main market of Leh, it cannot be missed with its big yellow board. The bakery now boasts of an restaurant as well. their most famous creation is Coconut Cookie and it was good & there second best was Choco Danish and it tasted like heaven.

Best place for pies. Had blueberry cheesecake and it was yum. Very nice ambience and welcoming staff.

Most restaurants suffer authenticity problems with a multi-ethnic menu, however Wonderland actually has at least three separate kitchens, and it shows, with an extensive menu of great-tasting meals. Breakfasts are very good, Indian vegetarian dishes are excellent, particularly useful on the meatless days, and their pies downstairs are delicious... It is also hygienic, proven over seasons of eating here, and so I rate this as the best, most reliable restaurant in this Changspa area.

Visited June 2019. They have sitting area on first floor and ground floor. The food is pathetic. They do not know how to cook a simple dish like alu paratha, it was all under cooked and very bad in taste....but at exorbitant price. On asking them to reheat those to make them better, they failed in doing so, Finally we had to pack these and give to street dogs. Most of the items are priced very high. It appears they are targeting foreigners and have priced their items very high. You can get better food nearby at lower prices. The highly priced coffee was good, served in a glass. This place is also far away from the main market. Parking on narrow lane at the entrance of restaurant. You can get better food at Dontang, a newly opened restaurant, Chaska Maska, restaurant, etc.

Don't try Tibetan (Local Food) Food 🍲 at this place. We had fried veg cheese Momos with Thantuk (local food) and soups, Cream Mushroom 🍄 soup was prepared in milk and in Sweet corn 🌽 soup corns were half cooked and the Thantuk was not up to the mark. I would not recommend this place special for Tibetan Food.

If you are not familiar with the menu, please do ask to confirm what they are providing. Don't get confused seeing their vast variety menu. Food is tasty. Nice atmosphere.

Good place for healthy options. Examples: mushroom petsel fry, mushrooms and olives in tomato sauce (goes by a different name but its the first item in the last page of the menu) and mushroom and tofu (substitute it with paneer) in bamboo shoot sauce. They are also a mean bakery - the walnut brownie shall give you great happiness and diabetes at the same time. Only trouble is the road noise so sit upstairs in the row farthest from the road.

Upscale, excellent ambience. Top notch service. You'll love the items in their menu. We tried a couple of items and they were fantastic. Would recommend reservation. Go for early drinks followed by dinner. Didn't try their cocktails but the menu looked great! Trying next time.

This restaurant offers 5+ stars when it comes to its food selection! A lot lof local dish options with modern twists, super tasty and served beautifully. Lovely ambiance with nice decor in the restaurant - 4 stars because the service was quite poor - while the staff was friendly they did not really do their job properly (delaying orders, forgetting orders, taking a lot of time to take orders when the restaurant wasn’t actually busy). Also the room was a bit cold, as in October the temperatures go down drastically in the evening, spaces need to be heated, we had to sit and eat with our jackets on. The restaurant deserves better as the food is exquisite!

We came 5 times in just 3 days. All the food was very elegantly prepared and presented. Had some of the best desserts and food here. Amazing salads, pasta, pizza and the best fusion food with local foods blended with Japanese Mediterranean Mexican food is just beyond this world. Fully vegetarian restaurant and with ample vegan options. Would recommend to visit atleast once while you are in Leh.

By far one of the best places I’ve been to in all my life. Every single dish is so unique and delicious. We ordered a Classic Thukpa, Tingmo and Mushroom, Gucchi Yarkhandi Pulao, a classic Margherita, Memories of Old Delhi, a hot chocolate. Everything was served so nice. We did not know when we visited the place, that this restaurant has been mentioned as one of the best places in the world to stay/ eat at by the TIME magazine. But after having dinner here, we exactly knew why it is so. A must visit place when you are in Leh.

Have u ever heard someone being spellbound over food? Well this has been our experience this evening at this most amazing eating house. Our compliments to the chef all the way. They have quite an extensive menu but we tried the Schezwan noodles here which were good. They do have a variety of baked goods in which we tried Apricot Cheescake. This one tasted a bit average only. Both cost us roughly 350 rupees.

I think this is the heart of leh market as its literally located in the center and you will get everything super fresh and super tasty here. Kinda like surprise because no fancy ambience but just good food under the open sky. Never been disappointed with any dish that we tried here and it has everything you want to eat. 🙌🏼💯

Yum Yum is a place you must experience the fine taste and unique flavours of in Ladakh. They offer a wide variety of delicacies, and bar none they serve the best pizza in Leh. The spinach cheese momos are also to die for. The vibe is truly unique. From locals to global travelers, you’ll meet and converse with some of the most fascinating people in town.

Yum Yum Food N Cafe is the worst bakery shop in leh market. Not Recommended. This cake was stale. I told them but they forced to pay the money. I paid half the amount. The old lady is very arrogant. Never visit. They literally harassed us.

Service is fast. Hospitality is good. Food was excellent. Will get a hang of the place. Bakery also has good desserts.

You can go there to grab a quick bite. Budget friendly place and the taste is also fine according to the price… 3/5 is my score.

Tucked just opposite the entrance to Leh Market, Yum Yum is the kind of place you stumble upon by chance but return to by choice. On our very first day — under the weather and a bit weary — we stopped in for their juice, and what a delight it was! Light, refreshing, and just what we needed. From that moment on, this cozy café became our go-to comfort zone. Over four visits, we tried a range of delicious dishes: the falafel platter, chocolate banana cake, fresh juice, and more. Every bite was filled with flavor and made with care. Sonam, the heart and soul behind Yum Yum, along with her courteous staff, brought warmth to each visit. If you're looking for multi-cuisine magic served with humility, don’t think twice — Yum Yum is a gem waiting to be discovered.

Had an extended stay here on my own due to health issues. Staff were very helpful and friendly (cheeky too!). Always happy to help. Food excellent, freshly cooked and delicious. Lovely atmosphere in the garden. Thank you. Excellent location close to Moravian Church and Main Bazaar.

We visited Ladakh during June-July 24. Enjoyed our stay at Mentokling Guest house and also the planned tour with Mr. Sonamji. The guest house rooms are spacious, near the main market and they serve delicious food. Staff is very cooperative. Mr. Sonam is excellent in whatever he does. He is having deep knowledge about local culture, history, places to visit, good command over language in addition to his helping nature. He makes you feel like at home. We enjoyed his company during our seven days tour of Ladakh. At different places, he has made comfortable arrangements that made our tour memorable. I recommend his guest house and his services to potential visitors.

This was a surprise find for us... We stayed only for a day but this place offers great value for money.. Located just opposite to morivian church, the accessibility to this hotel is amazing. They provide hot water 24/7, is very clean n the owner n staff are very courteous. All at a very competitive price.. Amazing experience

We are a family of five from Spain and came to discover Ladakh. This homestay was recommended to us and it couldn’t have been a better choice. The staff are super friendly, attentive, and always mindful of our needs. The rooms are very spacious and bright, with spectacular views. Perfect location right in the center of Leh, yet very peaceful. They have a lovely garden restaurant with delicious and varied food. We highly recommend the momos, garlic soup, pad thai, and their breakfasts. The owners are very kind and caring, making sure we were comfortable and helping us adjust to the change in altitude. We are really happy with our stay!

The hotel is in a prime location which is nearby the main market and also has several travel agencies right next to it, we didn't try those but it is a plus. The rooms are quite spacious and have multiple windows where you can enjoy the views from multiple sides. Their restaurant area is very pretty but it was unfortunately not open as there was very low occupancy due to being the very start of the season. The only downside is that there is no electric blanket and also the room heater is chargeable unlike other hotels in the area.

Great Guesthouse in the middle of Leh only a few minutes walk from the city centre with spacious and clean rooms. Appreciated the relaxed atmosphere. Bishal and his team are great and happy to help with any questions or concerns.

I had a great stay at the Mentokling Guest House. The rooms were absolutely fine and it is located super close to the Leh Market and everything else. Especially the staff working there were really nice, caring and helpful.

Located inn the main Leh Market. Ambience is pretty nice. Service is good. We tried chicken burger which was quite tasty. But the caramel latte tasted pathetic. It was not hot. Also zero caramel taste and watery.

Excellent food, taste, quality wise its good, value for money! Just thay they are little slow at their service as they cook everything fresh, so my advice order everything at once, at the beginning only once you sit! Otherwise lovely place, amazing ambiance! Popped into Rabsal for lunch today with some friends. The food was great and affordable and the atmosphere was relaxing. Best of all was the service, our server was so friendly and didn’t stop smiling :) A lovely experience.

The Rabsal Café has an eye-catching wooden balcony on the Main Market. A spacious beautiful space with a wooden floor, half cut planks hanging from the ceiling, beautiful poplar-wood furniture, doors and window frames. There's plenty of colour too, in the indoor seating area. The wooden balcony with low cushioned seats and low tables is a nice place to hang out, with fine views of the market below, and the mountains encircling the Leh Valley, as well as the Leh Palace nearby. What probably doesn't work as well, is its second floor location in a building without a lift. With the Naas Café downstairs, it's easy to feel lazy and just stop by there. Rabsal's not so great location is compounded by indifferent service. I ordered a cappuccino, which I'd to get reheated. It tasted great after that. The balcony quickly filled up with young locals, and so I'd to drop my plans to read and linger in this fine space.

Really cool atmosphere and friendly staff, we order pizza, kurkure momos and honey chilly potato, food were awesome specially kurkure momos, i really like it a lot, honey chilly potato was good and pizza was okay. Interior of cafe is just awesome it will give you the feeling of entering into a traditional ladakhi home/ room.

Arguably the best cafe in Leh, with wide variety of options. A hot spot for foreign tourists. This place gets a lot of praise for serving authentic food from Leh, but also Europe. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting this place again and again during my stays in Leh. I have been on four holidays to Leh. Highly recommended it.

I ate the chicken stuffed khambir which was made with local produce, and was very tasty. I also had a cup of lemon,honey and ginger tea which was also very nice. The owner is friendly too.

One of the few places in Leh to actually try Ladakhi food! A nice quiet place with friendly staff. We tried the paba and the pagthuk, both very nice, the paba especially is totally unique and I've never tried anything like it! Yum.

Nice little cafe where they prepare food with local ingredients, all fresh so bring some time to relax. Staff is very friendly. They are also involved with local NGOs, so ask them about recommendations of what to do and see in Ladakh.

The staff is courteous, the decor is nice and the service is decent. However they could do a better job with the coffee itself. The cold coffee was made using instant coffee even though they have an espresso machine and the cappuccino was more like cafe au lait. The prices for the product therefore were high. Didn't taste the food so can't comment on it.

Went to The Terrace mainly to try the much-hyped Thukpa Soup — and it truly delivered! Rich, flavorful, and comforting. Ended up trying the Chicken Momos as well, and they were a pleasant surprise — thin-skinned and melted instantly in the mouth. Definitely worth a visit for a taste of local flavors.

I visited the place after going through the reviews of many travellers who had visited the place. The ambience of the place is quite good also the music which they play it makes the atmosphere feel more inviting. I tried lemon ginger ice tea, tandoori paneer and mojito. While the drinks tasted good, the paneer seemed to be lacking taste. It’d have been better which a slight pinch of spices and salt. Nevertheless loved my experience there but the prices aren’t economical and they already include 10% service charge in the bill.

The place has a great location and food tastes very good. The only reason why I have given the food 3 stars is because of the appallingly low quantity in a serving. I ordered a plate of chicken fried rice, have a look at the photos along with the review to know how small the portion is.

Ankit was very kind and helpful to us. He recommended the chicken thukpa and the chicken tandoori both were super delicious. The live music sets the mood for an amazing evening at the terrace!

I came here for the live music. It turns out very wonderful and the singer gave his heart to the performance. Girish waited at my table and he is the greatest too. Definitely recommend this place to all Leh visitors. Plus you have a good view at the palace.

One of the most chilled out places with good food and drinks. The ambiance of the place is warm and relaxed the service is quick and the seating area is very comfortable. My favourite food item was Cheese Garlic Naan with extra Cheese.

This is a great place to hangout in the evening. Although we never hungout there in the evening, and had only lunches there, we saw it from outside at night, and found it to be great. The food here is great tasting, service is also humble. They take little time to serve, but it's worth the wait. Ambience is good. One can seat on table-chair or on the floor in Indian/Ladakhi style. Hukkah is also served here. They also rent out bikes.

Was there during the FIFA World Cup 2018 . Had a great time and watched all of the matches at this place. Very spacious and comfortable lounge. Good food and good people.

This has to be one of the most pocket friendly places in Leh which I tried. They serve parathas majorly starting from just 35 rupees. The portion sizes are great and taste is good too. The garlic pickle which they serve with parathas is so yummy.

Best place for paratha and filter coffee in Leh. Period. Chunilal and Vinod are wonderful chefs and very kind hearted too! All parathas are very reasonable and delicious. One of my favourite breakfast places in Leh!

The parantha is a fantastic place to go for breakfast. The food comes fast, piping hot and is fantastically tasty. The price is almost inconceivable to the European mind, and is by far the best value food in Leh.

One of my favorite places in leh to get breakfast. This is place is all about Parathas (must tries are tomato cheese and gobi Parathas). No frills basic breakfast place with good hygiene, service and accessibility. The place is near the main leh market inside a square with other restaurants like the German bakery. The place has really affordable and great breakfast. Once you order only then is the Paratha prepared. P. S you should try their filter coffee too.

Shelkhang Café is a Neat Café located opposite the Shey Palace and Thiksey Monastery, on the 1st floor next to the Holy Fish Shey Pond Complex in Shey, Ladakh. It has a decent seating area and being very popular, you may have to sometimes wait to get a table. The Menu is fairly exhaustive and they offer some Very Uniqie and Tasty Authentic Ladaki Snacks and Drinks as well. The Ambience is Good, Service is Fairly Prompt, the Food is Freshly Prepared & Tasty and the Prices are Reasonable as well. A coffee shop without any restroom. What they have provided is a common washroom, without water, light .... a washroom in the open fields is more hygienic.

Shelkhang Cafe offers a refined taste of Tibetan cuisine in a serene, beautifully curated space. The steamed momos are delicate and flavorful, best enjoyed with their signature sepen. The thukpa and gyathuk are deeply comforting, with broths that reveal layers of spice and tradition. For heartier appetites, the shapta—a stir-fried meat dish paired with soft tingmo—delivers bold, savory satisfaction.

This property is situated of the main road, 250 metres before the Turtuk's main village. Its natural pool attracts alot of tourists, they serves fresh fishes from their own pond. Rooms are basic, with plenty of insects which will be attracted on the room bulbs.

"Extremely disappointing experience at Ullah Turtuk" The food was shockingly bad — tasteless, stale, and clearly not fresh. Even the most basic dishes lacked seasoning or any sign of proper cooking. The service was equally terrible: slow, inattentive, and completely disinterested in customers. We had to ask multiple times for water, and our orders were served late and wrong. The staff showed no courtesy or professionalism, making the entire meal feel like a waste of time and money. Definitely not worth visiting — there are far better places around.

At first this is a guest house and not a homestay, what means it will not be the right place if you wish to stay with a Balti family - so consider your choice. But it is a good place to stay and popular to take tasty meals at open view Ullah’s Cafe, their fried fish was so delicious. Easy reachable, located right on the roadside. Rooms are clean with private bathrooms. Very friendly and helpful owner, showed us all around the village. Breakfast available from 8:00, dinner as per your choice and later. The only inconvenience was that next morning we wanted to start at 7:00 because of long way from Turtuk to Pangong, but at guest house it was not possible to get our breakfast at 6:30, so we left without it and got our breakfast only at 10:00 after Hunder camel ride.

Nagti cafe is renovated and and the food quality os much improved, Khambir... wow amazing.. Khambir is a one of the authentic traditional ladakhi local dish, another one is Chutagi.. Chutagi is a dish like wheat pasta. but its far away from pasta.. its spicy yummy and fully loaded with vegetables.. ohh.. one more thing, there butter tea is super yummy, butter tea is not sweet rather it is salted .. its like clear soup kind of thing.. but the taste is super awesome...
