A delightful Japanese cafe, forgotten or at least overlooked by time. A real hidden gem run by a delightful senior Japanese and Tibetan couple. The wife is the cook. A small menu of snacks and beverages is available. The whole of one wall is devoted to books (for the younger generation, books were once seen as essential depositories of knowledge and civilisation, before the Elon Musk Presidency). I really appreciated the atmosphere of calm and peace. Highly recommend as an oasis of calm; a refuge from the domination of the motor cars outside. The home-made lemon curd cake is very yummy indeed and is highly recommended. Places like this are now sadly getting quite rare and are becoming an ‘endangered species’. A must-see experience!

Run lovingly by a couple, the moment you step in, you’re wrapped in a blanket of warmth and genuine hospitality. It’s cozy, intimate, and beautifully real. While many places try too hard to impress, this one wins you over by simply being itself—authentic, humble, and full of heart. I had the special set menu (available on Tuesdays and Fridays), and every bite felt like a story. The homemade kombucha was refreshing and vibrant, and the lemon curd? Pure joy. I wish I could keep coming back, again and again. If I could give it 10 stars out of 5, I absolutely would.

I had last visited them 15 years ago. Since, am not much familiar with the japanese cuisine, I had tried veg curry with rice then. This time, it was on my to do list. Being a vegetarian, it's rare to find a veg japanese restaurant (they serve egg though) We ordered the day's special, along with Kombucha. It was difficult to understand, how to pair items together, but, it was a good struggle. I enjoyed the cuisine. But, I definitely feel, it could be better. Ambience is decent. It feels like family run place. The gentleman is sweet. May not visit again.

Little gem restaurant ! Vintage decoration, selling Japanese food and bread (it looks very good quality bread !) Too good to be true, but it’s true 🤩🤩🤩 Real Japanese food, Taste delicious ! The menu of the day change everyday, I was here on Monday and it was vegetable croquettes with set meal : perfect taste. I will come back here with my Japanese friends !

Great place for main stream Tibetan food. Convenient location. If you want very authentic Tibetan food then this is not the place, contrary to what others may say. Authentic Tibetan food is available in this very region in shanties along the roadside where there is no crowd and Tibetans living. However for an indo-Tibetan good for you must visit here. You’ll get good momo, mutton (sha) baklab, mutton curries with spinach and other good options. The portion size is okay. Not very generous but also not extremely miserly. They have good cakes, tea etc. good Street view from the seating. Good visit.

The food here was really delicious. I loved it a lot. The thengthuk was the most authentic one I've ever had and the broth was amazing ! So flavourful and soothing. The warm soup in the cold weather really helped. And the pork Chilli was also quite delicious. Service and ambience were also top notch. This place is a cozy little eatery ★★★★★ With very little rush because only true food seekers come here. The prices were also quite cheap and affordable. And huge portions !!!!

Excellent location right by the taxi stand and the chowk—super convenient for meet-ups and quick hops around town. The food holds up well, and the thali is the clear specialty; the Tibetan thali, in particular, was flavorful, balanced, and satisfying. Dessert choices are a bit limited, but the coffees are well-prepared, aromatic, and make for a nice finish to the meal. Overall, a handy stop with dependable plates, a standout thali, and consistently good coffee.

Had these amazing Veg Paneer Steam momos and the best veg fried rice of my life at Tibet Kitchen. I must really appreciate the veg fried rice as it was less oily and simply superb in taste. U can eat without any sauce accompaniments also since the rice is so flavourful. I will definitely visit this again !! Also try their brownies. It's flavourful, less sweet and perfect texture. Thank you Tibet Kitchen for such a wonderful experience!!

Very nice ,with various food choices. Even if the menu is very diverse and there are 3 floors ( or at least this is what I saw) and almost always full with people, there always will be the "your place" and food very quickly served. Nice music, pleasant atmosphere and the stuff are very kind. Would love to come back again.💛

One of the most celebrated cafes in Mcleodganj. Good place, dishes are good as well but not as great as the hype. The window offer lovely views and you can enjoy them chugging down some beers. The location is in the market and during the day it’s a struggle to get your car anywhere near the cafe. So, the best approach would be to walk. Don’t get confused with Jimmy’s bakery.

We had heard from someone that Jimmy is renowned as one of the best restaurants in McLeodganj. But we wrongly went to Jimmy’s Himalayan Kitchen instead. Unfortunately, they were not serving dinner at that time, so one of the waiters kindly directed us to this one which was just a short walk away. This restaurant is located on the first floor, and we navigated a rather narrow staircase to get there. Upon arrival, we noticed several groups enjoying the mattress seating area. We opted for a table and placed our orders, which arrived in a timely manner. The restrooms, located on the second floor, could benefit from some improvements. When I requested a beer, I was informed by the waiter that customers are responsible for serving themselves. While this was unexpected, I chose to overlook it. We sampled a variety of dishes including pizzas, pastas, and juices, all of which were quite satisfying and generously portioned. The option for online payment with a credit card was convenient. The staff maintained a neutral demeanor throughout our visit. Overall, we believe this restaurant holds its ground in the McLeodganj dining scene, and it’s certainly worth considering for a meal.

Visited there after reading many reviews. So expectation was high. We tried veg Peri peri pizza, banoffee pie and cold coffee. Banoffee pie was delicious must try. Pizza was different not good not bad, just ok ok types. Cold coffee was not good at all, totally avoidable.

We visited Jimmy’s Italian Kitchen in McLeodganj and ordered the vegan pizza, Arrabbiata pasta, and two virgin mojitos. The food tasted good—well-prepared and flavorful, especially the pasta. The mojitos were refreshing and tasted just like you’d expect at any good dine-in restaurant. Portion sizes were quite generous—definitely enough for three people. We couldn’t finish everything, so the bill of around ₹1100 felt a bit pricey for two, but would’ve made more sense for a group. The place has an old-school charm, though it felt a bit dated, and during our monsoon visit, there was some water dripping from the ceiling which was a downside. Overall, a decent spot for Italian food in McLeodganj—especially if you're dining with friends or family.

Quite an aesthetic ambience with a breathtaking view. Had sicilian chicken and it was really done. The chicken could have been a little softer. Had Tibetan butter tea as well and I loved it.

The ambiance and location are really good. Its a chilled out place with the opyion to sit indoors or on the balvony overlooking the main square and the valley. There thalis are really good. However, the sizzlers and pizza were average.

Went to Jimmy Kitchen after seeing so many reels but honestly, it’s just all hype. The place was stinky the moment we walked in. Felt damp and unclean. Totally put me off. Food was nothing special, very average. Service was fine ..we sat there for so long and no one came to take our order. When they finally did, they gave us a handwritten bill and still charged GST. No proper bill .. that’s just not okay. Vibe was totally missing. Didn’t enjoy anything. Waste of time and money. So many better places around .. not sure why this one is hyped.

I love this bakery. It was a random selection from the list. You enter here and there is warmth in the environment. We tried coffee, hot chocolate, tart, and cakes, and instantly felt calm from the winter. Carrot cake is a must! Backyard sitting is also open which has a beautiful view of the city. Enjoy!

Woeser Bakery is a wonderful Tibetan small business that is run by the amazing Sangma! This woman owner bakery is a unique treat located in Dharamshala! The bakery has a wide selection of yummy treats including vegan cakes, tarts, walnut cups, custom cakes, tsampa balls, breads, coffees, shakes, and hot and iced teas! (And more!!) Located on the second floor, it is super easy to find! The vibes are full of love and peace. She named the bakery after her daughter. The baked good are super fresh and yummy! Gluten free options are available! The seating inside is very cozy and has a bright and light filled atmosphere. There is also a terrace to sit on that overlooks the mountains and nearby surroundings (beautiful view!!) Coffee is really fresh and perfectly flavored. Please come support this Tibetan small female owned business! Highly recommended, do not miss this one! 🙏

The quaint little cafe tucked away under the Black Magic Restaurant in the mini Tibet Market is perfect for coffee and homemade cakes. It's run by two amazing women who bring the best of homemade confectionary to the visitors. Do try their homemade espresso and any of the tarts. All of them are equally yummy!

A true hidden gem of McLeod Ganj! Woeser bakery is a must try with an impressive array of scrumptious desserts. It is run by a lovely lady, Sangmo who has at several instances baked for his holiness Dalai Lama. I highly recommend the chocolate tart, the chocolate truffle, the carrot cake, the handmade coffee and the rhododendron tea. The place has a very cozy vibe to it and they also have a decent collection of books to read while you’re there.

Nicks Italian kitchen is a must visit place. The ambience, the food and the people serving it, everything is good. Amazing food and a great place to visit if in Mcleodganj and an amazing view out the window! It has a lovely open terrace with great views of the mountains and some of the snow-covered Dhauladhar peaks. The menu is wide-ranging and every dish is delicious and freshly made. Don’t miss out their desserts!

Homemade sauces, homemade bread, homemade Kombucha and lots more. Great vegetarian Italian food and really good service. Independently run by a Tibetan family for many years, and served the likes of Richard Gere and Demi Moore.

This is the best place to eat in McLeodganj. I went there twice in a span of 4 days. There Masala tea is absolutely amazing. The scrambled eggs are delicious, veg cheese sandwich was so flavourful. There bread is such good quality. The service is good, view from outdoor seating is breathtaking. Prices are decent. I would love to go there again. PLEASE HAVE THEIR BROWNIES, THEY ARE DELICIOUS.

A small and charming café tucked right along the bustling streets of McLeodganj. Here every lane seems to hide a gem or two. Nick’s is definitely one of those. Perfect for a quick bite or a relaxed coffee break while soaking in the mountain vibe. I really liked their simple and thoughtful practice of asking customers to write down their orders on paper, it adds a nice personal touch to the whole experience. Definitely worth a stop if you’re wandering through these lively streets.

We went for breakfast. Ordered their English breakfast with choice of fresh juice. The juice was good, no added sugar. Also had cheese and mushroom grilled sandwich. It was good, the filling was proper and enough. The ambience is beautiful overlooking the mountain. Perfect to enjoy morning breakfast

They charge exorbitant prices for mediocre food. The spaghetti we ordered was raw. Had to send it back to the kitchen where they reheated it. Same crap in a different package. Service was extremely slow. Half the items we ordered came out cold. Bruschetta was cold but tasted okay. Pizza was warm and tasted okay. Avoid garlic bread and spaghetti at all costs. Spent ₹1600 for 3 people and we were disappointed.

When I think back to my time in McLeodganj, this café stands out as one of the most memorable parts. The cozy atmosphere, the healthy food prepared with care, and the wonderful people I met here made it feel like home. This is the perfect place to read a book and drink tea while watching the mountains outside. Yangzom cares for the guests and makes the place special. I hope to visit again someday.

A very good restaurant! The restaurant has a cosy atmosphere. The best advantage and a reason, we chose to visit is the fact, that you have gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options to choose from. If possible, they will let you switch ingredients of a meal based on your special needs. They serve nice big portions, we ordered gluten-free burrito whith avocado and full of boiled and also fresh veggies. The portion was bigger than expected, we almost had problems to finish it :). We were afraid to eat fresh vegs in India because of water contamination, but here they state in the menu that they treat the vegetables with sterilised water, which is very important. We had no problem after eating their vegs. Keep in mind that they don't serve every option from the menu every day, as it is a small restaurant, but you will always have options to choose from even if you have special needs. As a dessert we got a gluten and dairy free pancake with no sugar, just fresh fruit. Very nice experience.

One of our favorite cozy spots in Dharamshala/Mccleod Ganj. Shakshuka, crepes, veg sushi and vegan peanut butter noodles are some of our favorites. Oh and I normally don't like. Kombucha much, but their homemade Mango/mint kombucha is delicious! Must try! (note my husband usually orders extra eggs with shakshuka, the normal portion everywhere is usually 2).

Nice little cafe. The ginger lemon honey tea was nicely made. Found the noodles of thukpa a little thick. The pizza was huge and I didn't expect vegetarian pizza to taste soo good.

We have been coming to this restaurant for over 25 years (when it was in its old place at the main temple), and it is still delightful thanks to Kuldeep’s kitchen skills. The food is delicious, portions are generous, the kitchen is clean, and the pizzas are still among the best in town.

Overall decent food for the price, and tables near the windows have a nice view. Ordered a masala chai that lacked spices though. Potato & paneer Momo's, vegetable chow mein and vegetables omelet all tasted good. Would recommend going for a fairly inexpensive meal with a view.

Namgyal Café in McLeodganj is a hidden gem for anyone looking for a delicious yet cost-effective meal. I ordered noodles and thukpa, and both dishes were decent and nice. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was well-prepared. What really stood out was how affordable it was — I had a great meal for under 150 INR. The cozy atmosphere of the café also adds to the charm, making it a perfect stop for a brunch.

The place is quite and cozy. The owner is very friendly and honest. We tried the pizza on his recommendation and it turned out great. Everything was fresh and nice. It takes a little time for the food to be ready but given the freshness, it's worth it. We also had a ginger honey lemon which was again very refreshing during the winter. Amazing places for a wonderful lunch or dinner.

A must visit cafe if you want to taste authentic Tibetan cuisine. The cafe is located on first floor just near the Namgyal monastery. Authentic Burmese costume is offered here and has authentic taste. The food portion is large, so don't order more than one dish per person. The sitting area is slightly cramped. But the food makes up for it!

Had this veg momo and thukpa. Thukpa was average and can be eaten but their momo was horrible !!!! Just stuffed sm vegies inside momo with no flavour at all. Upon that wen i confronted the owner, he was trying to tell me this is how momo is. I also run a restaurant n i no very well abt it. Overall horrible it is

They have the best honey ginger lemon tea in this region. Hands down. I say this after having tried from almost 20 places in this region. Their quantity of honey and lemon is in perfect balance. They have good main courses too. Some main stream Tibetan dishes. Some Indian Punjabi dishes. Overall good taste and affordable pricing. The inside is cozy too. Service is good. The quantity of food is also good. Taste of food is good. They use some Tibetan flavours and simple cooking. Not home style but nothing posh. Must visit if you are in this region and want to have good food without burning a hole in your pocket.

I asked my cousin what is the place to eat momo in McLeod, and I was expecting the common answer i.e. Kalimpong Restaurant. However, he told me that there is this place called Norling Restaurant near Dolma Chownk and their momo are also very good. In fact, he told me of a story about how the owner of the restaurant was almost offended that my cousin has not tried Norling's Momo. And when he tried, he was indeed impressed. Their momo have a very thin outer layer and from the inside, they are super juicy and full of amazing filling. I also liked the fact that they keep glass bottles of soft drinks, otherwise these days everyone has only plastic bottles - which of course is no fun. It is indeed a place worth trying. I liked it. :)

This is place is located at good location in McLeod Ganj with small and simple restaurant. Coming to food, I would recommend chicken momo here. Its takes time for any food as they prepares as we orders, which is very great. Thukpa and Choewmen are average! Only drawback I felt was only one employee was serving food. And if we want something extra in between then either have to wait for him to come to table or get up and give 2nd order.

Momo was out of this world... With the Chutney/ Sauce, it was pure bliss... Don't remember the name of the other dish (most probably Thenthuk) but it always tasty as well... A single person was managing the entire restaurant... So, service might just be a tad bit slow... The place gives out a community-focused energy... Besides us, there was a local family and an older couple dining... Everything gave a super comfy feel

Worst experience in Mcleodganj- Stayed in the city for more than 3 days but didn’t witness such a service. We with our friends went to the place and live singing was happening. The Folks servicing asked us to not drink from the alcohol bought from outside the cafe. We agreed and ordered food. While waiting my friend requested if he can also sing as the main singer from the cafe was done and was resting. The folks serving their denied very rudely and didnt even took our order after 15 mins when we checked on status they just cancelled it impromptu. Pathetic place please avoid - better visit - Mcllo, Papa Wisky , Jimmy’s ( Good empathetic staff and good food and ambience)

Perfect Place to Sit, Enjoy Live Music over Weekends and have your delicious BITE of the CAKE and Hot Chocolate! Came here just casually strolling around on the streets of M'Ganj! Really liked the Ambience and Loved the Crockery and Lights! We ordered Hot Chocolate, Carrot Cinnamon Cake, Banana Cake, Double Chocolate Cake! I personally enjoyed everything except Banana Cake, but others liked that as well! Enjoyed our time here with loads of Books and few Games to Play! On Weekdays, the place is bit quiet and not crowdy if one wants to enjoy that atmosphere! On Weekends, place is quite happening with Live Music and Crowd! I recommend trying this place when in M Ganj! Place accepts Cards, UPI and Cash!

This place is amazing! The Ramen is packed full of cheese, kimchi, meat and egg! Best Korean ramen in town! Night time is lush with live music, we’ll be back!

Came here for dessert and a coffee after dinner because the reviews were so great. The coffee was pretty good but the brownie cake was dry as could be and barely edible. The carrot cake was inedible, with plastic like icing, hard and dry cake, completely tasteless. Both cakes were obviously microwaved (completely unnecessary) and likely a few days old.. I give three stars because the coffee was still very good and the staff was friendly and did take the uneaten carrot cake off my bill.

If you're a book lover with a fondness for great n warm ambience, then this cafe is for you. Great playlist in the background, a warm cozy fireplace and an assortment of food and beverages. I wished to stay there fo as long as possible...it is "my kind of a place" ❤️

Chocolate cake was very eggy. In Carrot cake the carrot was very less. Cappuccino was good. The guy who served us was very humble.

Did not have a good experience. The food was bland. We tried a white sauce pasta which we felt was under seasoned. We also ordered a chicken pizza. The chicken in the pizza was so dry that we could not chew it at all. We had to remove the pieces of chicken to make the dish edible. The overall ambience was nice. I have given the experience 3 stars because I have previously been to this place and have had some good experiences.

The quintessential hippie cafe of town with matttesses and cushions for sitting and spending some quality time either alone or with friends. The wall art and graffiti also adds to the charm. The continental food here is highly recommended

This place is on the temple jogiwara road. And is one of cool places to sit and eat. The nest is to order Chinese, Italian or continental. I would not recommend Indian. Although Indian food wasn't bad. Just a bit bland for my taste. Definitely recommend going here once.

In the crowded and cramped streets of McLeod Gang, I wanted to try it out because of the reviews I heard from some people. They have two levels of restaurant. One with the usual dinein and the other with the sit down and open window with the mountain view . I tried the mount view level. The place is pretty shabby and not kept so clean. There were lotof flies. I ordered the vegetarian wood fire pizza and it was great. The three only stars for the pizza. Ambience is a 0/0.

Carpe diem is a 10 minute walk away from the Mcleod market square. It has both indoor seating and a rooftop seating. The ambience resembles Goan shack with lovely music b running in the background. We ordered a Crispy fried vegetables and a chicken pepper steak. Both were good. The place is worth a visit if you're in Mcleodganj.

Run by people from Nepal this place has everything whether it is French,Italian,English, Chinese for breakfast ....Hash brown breakfast is also good choice... and do leave your photo to be kept on table under glass.

We ordered 2 x Thukpa noodle soups. They came out about 10 minutes apart, they were piping hot which is nice, but a little unexciting and bland. The veggies were nice in there but it wasn't something we'd rush back for. Had to go and find someone at the end to pay our bill after waiting a good 10 minutes. It was steady trade in there (mainly monks) but not overly busy.

We just randomly walked around and saw a sign for this place. We decided to try it out and we are very happy we did. It's probably the best food we've had in Mcleodganj. It's a very local place but clean with a very cute terrace. The food is fresh, made on the spot (we waited a bit but we didn't mind). It's also half the price of those more touristy places

Ordered 3 butter teas. Fantastic Tibetan drink. The owners were so kind and gave complementary hot water and snacks which was a first here.

We first time tried Chicken thenthuk, chicken Mokthuk and chicken chowmin here they taste pretty good. Depends upon you what type of taste suits you like that I will suggest if you want to try Tibetan food you surely visit this restaurant and it is pocket friendly restaurant.

I visited this place with so much hope but it didn't go well, I ordered veg fried and steam momos and it was normal, honestly not at all tasty and they didn't serve momos chutney instead they gave mustard sauce. But you can give a try to other dishes they provide. I hope next time I'll get to eat delicious momos with the red momos chutney.

After seeing multiple reviews we went to this place for dinner during our trip. We ordered Mutton Momo, Chicken Soutsemen nd chicken Thukpa. Great food quality but I will reduce one star coz the kitchen forgot to prepare our momo nd only realised it's in the order when we asked for it after finishing the Thukpa.

Food is good but not that typical authentic Tibetan taste. Located in the main street of Mcleodganj and other food options are also available. Unique taste of momo!

Tried there veg momo in soup and veg steam momos. Veg momo in soup was good in taste but momos are ok types. I had tried 2-3 famous restaurants in Macleodganj but I didn't like momos in any of them. I came with high expectations to Macleodganj for momos but I was disappointed. Any ways Momo soup was good, want to try more dishes of this restaurant but was not able to.

Located in the lane of the main market, Four Season Cafe is a small restaurant serving authentic Tibetan food. Since the market is generally crowded, you may have to keep an eye to find this restaurant. We tried Thukpa and Soupy momos for brunch. The quantity was quite filling for the price charged. It takes 15-20 minutes for them to serve as dishes are prepared upon order. Both the dishes tasted delicious and left us wanting more. Along with Thukpa, the restaurant is famous for its Thenthuk as well.

I went there after watching a YouTube video. The space is modest, with only five tables that can seat four people apiece. The order takes a little longer to be served, and when Momo arrived, I looked at the chutney and assumed it wouldn't be spicy at all and would taste more like peanut, but the chutney exceeded my expectations, blistering hot, just the way I like it. But I am a vegetarian, and my friends are not. So I ordered veg momo for roughly 170 rupees, whereas the non-veg cost 200 rupees. So, if you're a vegetarian, I wouldn't recommend it (as it costs a bit high for veg), but if you're not and enjoy your chutney spicy, you should go.

We had delicious veg Thukpa with vegetarian mom's here. This place serves delicious non vegetarian food too. If you want to explore the real taste of Tibbet. This is good place. Very small restaurant with warm service

We visited this restaurant after seeing the reviews and I can certainly say not disappointed at all. Great food. Their momos, thenthuk, pizza everything was awesome. To all food lovers this is a must visit when you are in mecleodganj. However, be mindful that there maybe a waiting and also food will take time to get served as they prepare everything fresh. However, I will say it’s worth waiting.

Almost no words to describe my experience... I came here and looked at the menu. Firstly i was bamboozled by the options😅. Then i made up my mind to try lamb for the first time in my life. I ordered Shakam Datshi which is inspired from a Bhutanese cuisine. It was served with an option of tingmo or steamed rice on the side. I ordered both. The taste was equally heavenly with both the sides. My forst time having lamb and the experience was sublime.

This restaurant was my shortlisted. So after my visit i realised that i didn't make wrong. I had visited during lunch time. I ordered chicken momo, chicken drumstick, pork ribs, egg fried rice and chicken Manchurian. All the items were excellent taste. Quantity was adequate. Service was fast. Staff was cordial. Highly recommended.

We loved every thing we had. It is so worth the hype. We had double roasted pork, Tibetan thali and Tolumein chicken soup. Every single thing was so filling and so delicious. It was our first meal in McLeod and a great start to our trip.

Beautiful interior Cosy place for breakfast, lunch and dinner Thupka could have been better in terms of quantity of soup. The noodles were too loaded and wasn’t in right proportion with the amount of soup and veggies. But the taste was good Must try- Cappuccino and broccoli chicken stir fry. After reading some good reviews about it online me and my family decided ti have our brunch here. We ordered A manchow shoup along with some unique handcrafted dimsums and a pad Thai. Their pad thai was unfortunately even less craftful and authentic than a chow Mein from a local roadside vendor, with flavours and ingredients going haywire. The dimsums were ordered without mushrooms but they came with the mushrooms and the owner kept on insisting that it didn't contain mushrooms even after we showed him a few pcs. Finally we enjoyed our manchow soup and left it to try some of the other more authentic cafes in Mc leod

I had fond memories of this place from 3 years ago when the owner was actively managing the place. Now the place is a shell of its former self. The first thing we saw was three waiters watching loud cricket matches on the TV and occupying the best seats. We decided to go upstairs and was met with annoyance when we asked the waiter to turn on the heating. Mind you, it’s a chilly evening. He pointed at the switch with an attitude and left us to take care of turning on the floor heating, turning on the lamp and setting the mattress. The mood for the evening was turning sour already. Few minutes later he came back up and turned off one of the two floor heating switches we turned on explaining that we didn’t need both. We later found out that the one he did let us use only covered part of the space we were seated. The food was served with no sense of which item belong together. He gave all the spoons and chopsticks in a pile. The food itself was awful nothing like I remember from three years ago. The Be Bem Bab had burnt rice in it. I didn’t finish my food. When we were ready to leave, I had to go to the toilet and the moment I entered the toilet, I felt like throwing up. I have attached a picture of the dirty toilet. The lamp set on our table was torn up.

The only restaurant that serves authentic Korean food. We get a variety of options in food as well as side dishes. The food is suitable for those who do not fear the new. The kimchi is a must try but a bit on the pricey side in comparison to the quantity. The pork Je-yook-bok-um is a must try. The portion is enough for two. The food is nice. The ambiance is good. It’s a bit difficult to find the restaurant as it is not located by the road. We need directions to get there and locals are the only one who can help.

The owner of the restaurant is Korean, the Chef and the rest of the staff is indian, So they have an interesting way to get the orders , they ask everyone to write the item from the menu which is very descriptive on the paper. The food quality is really good.Bibimbap is good and Kimchi chi chicken stew as well, Kimchi and rice are served complementary. Pricing is very decent and a must try once atleast.They even have books and a fireplace the ambience is amazing.

Not 100% authentic Korean because they don't have napa cabbage and real sticky rice etc. However, the food tasted good! The chicken noodle (dak-gook-su) was pretty authentic and very tasty. Really cured my cold and soul. As a Korean, I would definitely recommend this place. The service upstairs was super slow though. Around 45 minutes wait for the food. The Korean owner was super friendly.

A quaint little place on the road to McLeodganj, one might miss it if one isn’t attentive, but once you get in, the place is unforgettable! Looks like an art gallery and a cafeteria in one. The outdoor seating is good for groups of two to three, but there is ample space for a larger group indoors. The food was amazing, well made and served with care, I’d love to visit again the next time I’m here.

We recently visited The Other Space café on Jogiwara Road, around 2 km before McLeodganj, lured in by the glowing reviews online. The place looked promising at first—stylish interiors, a young and vibrant vibe, and what seemed like an appealing food menu. It was a typical monsoon day, so the view (which many rave about) was swallowed by thick fog. That’s nature’s doing, and we don’t fault the café for that. What we do fault them for is something far more intrusive and completely avoidable—smoking being allowed in the seating area. We were seated in a small balcony space, trying to enjoy our meal in the cozy weather. But that mood was utterly wrecked when someone nearby lit up a cigarette. And then another guy lit another one. All the smoke, thanks to the wind, kept blowing straight to our table. There was no restriction, no designated smoking zone, no staff intervention, and not even a sign telling people to be mindful of others. It was as if the place encourages people to puff away in shared dining areas. We came for a peaceful meal, not to inhale someone else’s second-hand smoke along with our food. Speaking of food—it was decent, no complaints there. But honestly, what’s the point of decent food and cute décor when you’re constantly battling toxic smoke in a cramped outdoor spot? It’s shocking that no other reviews mention this. Either people are turning a blind eye or the place is just getting away with it. No matter how aesthetic your walls are, how good your food might taste, or how charming your crowd is—if you can’t guarantee a basic non-smoking dining space, you’ve failed your customers. We rushed through our food just to get out of there. The moment the plates were cleared, we left, disappointed and annoyed, in search of a place that values clean air as much as it values its Instagram aesthetic.

A very cute cafe in Mcleodganj. Great service, great food. The butter croissant is so well done 😍 We also had veggie pizza which was as good. Some wonderful paintings on the cafe walls. Cappuccino was nicely brewed. Music is perfect for good vibes. They also offer a paid workspace (600/- per day) Of course the mountain views can’t be missed. :)

Stumbled upon this cafe on my way back from McLeodganj to Kotwali (Khara danda road) . The food was delicious, and the ambiance was lovely. The sitting area was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the views. I loved the cozy vibe, with people working on laptops . It's a great spot to take a break and recharge. Mcllo Beer Bar and Restaurant is a fantastic spot for local food, and it's located right in the heart of the city. I loved the restaurant's vibe! It's a spacious, three-story building (two stories with a terrace on top), so it's great for big groups. I especially enjoyed the tandoori chicken momos and the fresh salads that came with them – the combination was delicious! We also had a full dinner there. The Dal Makhani, garlic naan, and aloo pyaaz naan were all very tasty. While the dishes were delicious, the food did take a very long time to arrive. However, the staff were all very friendly and polite. Overall, I'd highly recommend Mcllo for the food and atmosphere!

The staff and location is good, the food was also good except for the Trout fish, which had gone bad. Although they quickly retracted the dish, they should be careful about what they are serving to their customers. People can get sick from eating bad fish. The other food was all fresh and good to taste.

The review is just for the food and the location. I only tried their grilled trout. I will remember it till my death. Grilled to absolute perfection along with nicely sauteed veggies and some crispy french fries. And the location! Take a window seat and watch the main chowk in all its glory!

Nestled in the beautiful McLeodganj, it stands out as my favorite spot. The highlight of this place is undoubtedly the rooftop terrace, located on the 3rd floor, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. It's often bustling with visitors, but there’s always a welcoming atmosphere, and the courteous staff does a commendable job of seating you in a pleasant spot. The indoor areas are vibrant and filled with chatter, creating a lively ambiance, but the rooftop's charm is truly captivating. The food is consistently delightful, with the mutton seekh kebab being our absolute favorite—perfectly spiced and grilled to perfection. However, there are some areas for improvement that I hope the management considers: 1. The absence of a live band diminishes the potential for a more festive atmosphere. 2. A dance floor would definitely elevate the experience for those who love to let loose. 3. I noticed a lack of a fire exit, which raises safety concerns—perhaps it’s just not visible enough. 4. The evolution of the restaurant could include updates that maintain its charm while enhancing functionality. 5. The overall noise level can be quite overwhelming at times, making conversation challenging. 6. Their beer prices, at 450₹ per bottle, feel a bit steep. 7. On rainy days, the makeshift roof can be problematic due to leaks, which understandably dampens the experience. 8. I also noticed that hard drinks aren't available, which could limit options for some guests. 9. The absence of high chairs might be inconvenient for families with young children. 10. There’s no bar area, which would be a great addition for socializing. 11. For those seeking a more discreet experience, the offer of beer only at the table can feel restrictive, especially if you prefer a quiet setting. Despite these concerns, Mcllo remains my favorite haven in McLeodganj. The mixture of great food, a vibrant atmosphere, and stunning views keep drawing me back time and again.

Located right at the centre square, McLlo has a quirky, cozy vibe with a slightly dark but warm atmosphere. It's a great spot to relax, with tasty Asian dishes like momos and Chowmin. A cool bar to hang out. They have quite variety of liquor. The window seating is perfect for people-watching, and the service is friendly. A solid choice for a casual meal in the heart of town.

Moonpeak deli has delicious food, with homemade brown sourdough and delicious house made curries and hummus. I came back here many times during my trip in McLeod Ganj and enjoyed the ambience, the staff and the acceptance they had for me to hang for hours (literally), read my book and watch the McLeod Ganj streets go by. I highly recommend eating the Thali and endless ginger lemon honey tea! Thanks guys, you were an anchor for me during my two weeks in McLeod Ganj.

One of the worst cafes to visit, especially in a tourist attraction. I ordered grilled chicken and all they did was made a bland gravy with chicken breasts filled with raisins and absolutely no spice. A very eurocentric place, wouldn't recommend.

A really nice, stylish and clean cafe right in the middle of town, near the Dalai Lama’s Temple. Seating is available on the small terrace outside next to the main road and inside. They have a snacks, beverages, cakes and other goodies at reasonable prices. Highly recommended this place

This is my favourite cafe in Mcleodganj. Their coffee is amazing. We had the spinach and cheese omelette, it was superb. Its a small cafe with minimal staff, so the service can be slightly slow. But the food is worth the wait!

One of the best places I visited and spent time at in McLeodganj. Lovely staff, excellent food and wonderful vibes. It is a must-visit. Try their omelette fromage and omelette smoked chicken! Their drinks are All good. And finally must try their almond cake.

I loved at Bodhi Greens it’s a vegan cafe, I had a V60 coffee and another day a daliya bowl. The coffee was really good, strong but smooth. The daliya bowl was simple, warm, and pretty filling — kind of gave a homely feel. The place is amazing and nice to sit for a while. Staff were polite and service was quick, You must visit.

This was my first ever experience at a pure vegan café, and it was absolutely amazing! Their coffees are exceptionally well prepared — made with vegan milk that’s rich in taste, smooth in texture, and full of proper aroma. Truly some of the best vegan coffee I’ve ever had. Been there several times, one of the most recommended places in Dharamkot with healthy meals. Staff there is very friendly and make you feel like home. Loved their smoothies bowls.

Beautiful place by beautiful & passionate people. The only cafe I liked in Dharmkot. Healthy nutritious food at reasonable prices. The only thing is, you need to wait a lot to get your order sometimes. And sometimes there’s noone to attend or talk to. The smoothie & smoothie bowls were fabulous. It’s Satvik & nutritious. Chef Varun is a sweet guy, you might find him there smiling & waving. Beautiful place.

Had the sabich and unfortunately wasn't for me. I wanted to get the Buddha bowls but the chef only gets there at 12.30 and they can only make the breakfast items before that. The hummus is also not great and they give it with a bhakri of sorts which is even weirder. The food also took almost 40 mins to come out and it wasn't very busy so not sure what the issue was.

Great restaurant, great spot but unfortunately they build a lot in front of it that the awesome view it had many years ago is blocked by the shops and buildings. Pure vegan restaurant with a huge variety of vegan food and sweets. A bit overpriced for that area, but worth trying.

I was really excited to try this vegan cafe and it didn't disappoint. Food was really good we tried the Sabich and viet cold brews, but service was a bit slow. Our server Divya was super sweet, and was single handedly seeing to all the other tables as well. She was doing a phenomenal job and in the 2 hrs that we were at the cafe I didn't see her smile fade even for a moment. Would definitely come back again to be served by her.

We wanted to go to a cafe where we could chill, have sheesha & good food and to our cab person suggested us this cafe & we absolutely loved it. Talking about the things we had : - Penne Alfreda - Israeli Breakfast(Hummus, Pita, Mashed Potatoes) - Chilli Potato - Peach Iced Tea - Oreo Shake All the things were really good. But the usp of the place is its chill vibe & its location. Has a b’ful view of the hills. The staff was really polite & helpful. Will definitely visit again whenever we go to Mcleod again.

A quaint little cafe on a busy yet organised temple/market road in Mcleodganj. It's a lovely place decorated smartly and serves amazing food which is priced decently. The owner and the staff is very courteous. We ordered veg and chicken thupka, garlic noodles, sangria, lemon ginger with rum and chicken momos.

Why 5 star... yes it a place worth getting more. Fantastic food, great ambience and fabulous live music between Thursday and Sundays. Great hosts too. When in Mcleodganj and in search of a soulful place to relax in the evening, that's the place to go to. Their humus platter spread is the best I've ever had.

We had a great dine in at this place with sumptuous butter chicken and tandoori roti. Chicken was fresh, juicy and perfectly cooked. Rotis were fine. Though we felt that butter chicken could be more buttery and savoury. But never mind we had an amazing dinner. The portion was big enough to have a fulfiling meal. Service was okay.

After coming back from the day trek of Triund trek, my friend and I were starving. We crossed this restaurant and they had such a clean kitchen, cooking everything in front of us. The food coming out of the grill looked so tempting. We had to go in. We ordered KADHAI CHICKEN and it was just perfect. Half plate chicken had 6 pieces so much gravy. I just hope they stay the same and dont decrease the quality or quantity. Ordering the same at a fancy restaurant would have costed us a dime. But they were just in budget. MUST MUST VISIT!

Very cordial cafe: We visited the cafe 4 years back. The guy on desk not only impressed with his Kannada (South Indian Language) but also made a delicious pizza (which in his own words was more delicious than Domino's and Pizza Hut. Which we agree.) Do visit.

A paradise for coffee lovers. The atmosphere was quite and soothing. Clean interiors. Dashing uncle and a beautiful lady at the counter will serve u their passion. Lemon cheesecake is highly recommended. Banana banoffee pie and blueberry cheesecake are also good to try. Brownie was also moist and tasty. A recommended place in mcleodganj.

You'll encounter Coffee Talk on your way to the Dalai Lama temple, and due to that proximity you'll also see a lot of monks chilling in the cafe. It's a great little Cafe. We tried several desserts like Banoffe pie (4/5), Chocolate Mousse (5/5 but too sweet), and Apple pie (3000/5). If you arrive on a clear day you'll see a great view as well. The employees seem a little rude but I think it's a language issue than a service issue. Overall, it's definitely a must-visit. And I say this after trying all the overrated eateries in Mcleodganj.

When your in McLeod Ganj this cafe is a must. The owner is super talented and his cakes are out of this world ! Its very close to the main Temple. All the cakes are freshly made and oh the Banofee pie is my personal favorite.

Very atmospheric restaurant serving mainly vegetarian Tibetan food, although the menu has some Indian and Chinese options too. The restaurant is operated by monks, and you will find many monks eating here too! Their Baglebs are a must try, really liked the butter tea too. Aiming to come back and have a tea earlier in their lovely terrace.

I visited Mcleodganj with my daughter and we stayed at Pema Thang Guest House. Mcleodganj can be extremely crowded in the summer months. We chose too visit in off season since we were looking for a quiet vacation. Pema Thang guest house has nicely done up rooms, with very courteous staff, a nice meditation room, with Buddhist chants playing in the morning, which were enough to give my day an amazing start. The restaurant piano piano serves Chinese and Italian cuisine and the restaurant staff is very friendly and helpful. My daughter fell sick for a day during the trip and the restaurant staff were really helpful with customising our food and providing us whatever we requested, even if it was not in their regular menu. The breakfast buffet is simple but nutritious food, and we loved it. I would not be looking for any other hotels when I visit McLeodganj next. I’m definitely staying here every time I visit.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Room door lock was spoilt and we requested them to rectify the same. The staff blamed each other and till the day we left the same was not rectified. The washroom door could not be closed as that too was spoilt and damaged. The washroom door was not rectified even post 4 nights of our stay. The wash basin had continuous leakage and water from the wash basin entered the room continuously. This was not rectified or corrected and the staff would come and only wipe and on the last day the staff offered us to change the room after the trauma we went through for 3 days. Post our check out the concerns are not rectified. We were very patient throughout our stay hoping things would be rectified. I would not recommend this place as for the basic tariff we pay we expect basic hygiene and comfort .

We would like to thank the staff of Pemathang Guesthouse for the outstanding services during our stay from 18-23/05. We enjoyed our journey very very much. The hotel is a wonderfull place to stay in McLeodGanj. The rooms are comfortabel and very well-maintained. The food in restaurant Piano Piano, belonging to the hotel, is delicious, the services exquisite. Staff gave all their due attention to whatever we asked for - this was our first time in Dharamsala, so we had a lot of questions! Everything was done to make our stay as excellent as possible and always with a smile: explaining the road, changing money, ordering taxi, arranging breakfast for the day after because we had to get up early. Pema Thang Guest House is a fantastic place to stay while visiting Dharamsala. We stayed 5 nights to fit in everything we wanted to do in the area, the location is very close if your main objective is visiting HHDL’s residence and performing circumambulation of the compound. The hotel is on a quiet street and within walking distance to so many shops and local restaurants. The hotel has great views of Dharamsala, gorgeous sunrise and sunset views from the balcony. The staff is friendly, from the front desk to the cleaning staff. Hot water is available readily and the food at the hotel restaurant, Piano Piano is fantastic and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The desserts are a must try.

Mcleodganj is rapidly gaining a reputation for being loud and overcrowded. for those who have been here over the years the big challenge is always to find places that continue offer the quiet and elegence of the old times. thats where pemathang comes in, tucked away at the end of a quiet bylane, pemathang feels far and away from the hustle bustle and yet, a few minutes walk and you are right among all the cafes and the shopping options and ofcourse the temple. location apart, pemathang and its happy staff offer a welcoming enviornment, some really lovely views of the valley below and good food at the lovely piano piano bar and restaurant.

Dharamkot! I have visited McLeodganj a handful of times, but I was completely unaware of this charming little gem until recently. During our stroll along the vibrant streets of McLeodganj, we encountered some friendly locals who enthusiastically recommended a visit to Dharamkot. When we mentioned that we had our two young kids with us and that a trek up there might be challenging, they kindly suggested an easier route to lower Dharamkot. Determined to explore, we set out on foot, as the distance was advertised as just 1 kilometre. However, we soon discovered that the path was a steep climb, with an incline of about 50-60 degrees that left us catching our breath. Spotting a Maruti Alto heading in the same direction, we seized the opportunity and flagged it down. For a modest fare of ₹200, we were conveniently dropped off at our destination. Our goal was the Moonlight Cafe, a name that had been enthusiastically shared by a friend. Upon arriving, we quickly realised that the cafe's reputation was well-deserved. Perched on the first floor, the setting was incredibly inviting, with a pristine atmosphere that set it apart. The menu offered a delightful variety of Israeli, Italian, and local cuisines, which piqued our interest. Since we had just finished breakfast, we opted for lighter fare—enjoying steaming cups of coffee and fragrant tea. The ambience was lively, with a few other tourists savouring cold beers, adding to the cheerful vibe. The decor was thoughtful and artistic, creating a warm and welcoming environment. There was even a cosy sitting area where guests could enjoy their meals on mats, complete with bolsters, after removing their shoes, which added a unique touch to the experience. We truly relished our time at the Moonlight Cafe, soaking in the tranquil surroundings and friendly atmosphere. Next time, we’ll make it a point to try out some of their acclaimed dishes!

The atmosphere is pleasant—neat, clean, and comfortable—with a tidy washroom, a shelf of books for reading, and casual games like cards for some downtime. Service was on the slower side during the visit, and the food was just okay, especially considering the slightly higher prices compared to nearby places. It’s also worth noting that it isn’t very kid-friendly, and smoking is allowed indoors, which may not suit families. Overall, a handy location with a relaxed vibe and thoughtful touches, but expectations should be set around pacing, pricing, and the indoor smoking policy.

What a gem in Dharamkot! The rice chicken and Tibetan soup was mouthwatering, and the cafe's atmosphere is just perfect for a relaxing meal. DOST, the friendly German Shepherd, adds a special touch to the experience. The ambience and location couldn't be better. I'll definitely be coming back!

This place has some of the best food in Dharamkot. The staff is so nice and welcoming. There is a guy here named Bantu and he is the nicest, sweetest person I’ve met in dharamkot He gives such good service and care to the customers. We love coming here :)

Great experience. Room has a wonderful south facing view. Everything was spotless and the bathroom is equipped for modern comfort. Staff was also very friendly which contributed to a great experience in town. Only drawback is the wifi which I found to only work well by the reception (my room was far from there). Bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise because the neighborhood dogs can be quite vocal at night !

I have had an enjoyable stay in this hotel so far. For two months, My wife & I have stayed here to enjoy the place and work online. The view for our room is fantastic and it is close to the town centre (5min walk).

Worst customer service I ever encountered. I was staying in this area and wanted to walk down there to see available rooms for next few days. I asked the lady at the counter and she was very rude. She ignored my question. I asked her few times if they have rooms available. Then she looks at me and rudely asks, "for whom?" What kind of question is that. Then she says nothing is available below Rs2500. Is it the way I look? To her probably look as someone who can't afford 2500! Or is she just nice to non-indians? I walked away. Would never stay at some place like this who have no respect to people or judge people by their looks.

The rooms are like just another hotel... The view is not unique but good though. The USP is it's location and service. It's adequately far and near dolma chowk. Accessible to market area, auto/bus/taxi stand and parking. The owner is very cordial, the staff is good. Cleanliness is 10/10. About The restaurant , food is good I tried Tibetan dishes only. Seating both outside and inside is comforting. Outside seating is so homely yet luxurious. They have built homes for small bird who eats little breadcrumbs it finds or the leftover , one of them directly came my table so i gave it a piece of Tibetan bread butter I was having... After being reluctant.. It eventually joined me on my table. I travel a lot.. And couldn't sleep in hotel rooms... But here rooms were so neat and clean, so welcoming that I slept like a baby .

Green Hotel has a very nice inside and outside sitting area to relax and spend your time. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the food is mostly local and very delicious. Rooms are comfortable but should be maintained and especially cleaned better, above all the bathrooms and the floor. Unfortunately, Green Hotel is located directly on a busy street, so it can get loud due to traffic. Rooms are very noisy. The surrounding is attractive since plenty of bars, supermarkets and cafes are very close.

Great experience with a wonderful and friendly host. He allowed us to use a terrace to teach my online yoga classes. Very helpful for everything we needed. He also allowed us to have our online meditation class in the cafe. The view was incredible from the cafe and from our room. I would give 5 stars but there were some issues with the bathroom including the toilet seat that was only attached with one bolt instead of two so it was very unstable. Also the shower head did not come out from the wall further than the faucet which meant that it was not possible to stand directly under the shower to bathe. The room and bathroom were VERY clean. The food in the cafe was also good. I enjoyed Spring rolls and a nice latte. The location is great because it was close to everything. If you wanted to go out in the evening for a bite to eat or for shopping, you could find everything on that street or the next one over. It was a great experience and I would definitely book here again in the future. Thanks to the staff for a great visit. 💗

I had a very nice experience at this hotel. I stayed for 2 nights in Jun17 and had a comfortable and cozy stay. The eating area is good. The rooms at the top have a single balcony each that face the Dhauladhars. The views are beautiful and there's limited seating space for 2-3 people in the balcony. The room and bathroom are spacious. The bathrooms and sanitary fittings are very nice. There's a nice foyer in the front of the rooms on the second floor that also serves as seating area. One can enjoy the weather when it rains outside, including in the balcony. The street is quiet at night and the beds are really food. The sleep quality was quite good. The food and service in the restaurant is good. The staircase is slightly narrow but considering the space in the town, it is good.

Came here for late lunch on account of all the hype and recommendations I was given. Left a bit disappointed as the food (while definitely good) wasn't much to write home about. The Sushi are the must try dishes here. Come here if you care about having a great ambience and lots of space. Compared to most places in Mcleodganj this establishment is much larger and has capacity for a 100 people I'd think. Service is very nice too, but expect it to be slow. Come here if you want to have good conversations over music. Hot chocolate was fine but well priced. Pizza was good but nothing great to write about. Sushi platter is a must try though the soy sauce was too cold. Don't order veg momos here. They are a bare pass. You're better off trying them elsewhere. It's expensive but reasonable. Expect to spend 500 INR per person.

We visited this restaurant for lunch. It was almost empty with just one or two more guests. We ordered spring roll, veg Manchurian, fried rice and noodles. The food was good. There was some waiting time before food was served. Overall it is a good place to eat and a must visit if you are around.

We stopped by Jimmy Asian Kitchen in Mcleodganj (located on Jogiwara Road) on a rainy day and were pleasantly surprised! Though we were the only ones there at the time, the restaurant’s colorful and cozy indoor ambiance made it a warm escape from the weather. We ordered veg momos, spring rolls, and dry thentuk, accompanied by three cups of masala tea. While the service was a little slow (possibly because of the rain), the food more than made up for it. Everything was freshly made, and the flavors were absolutely on point—especially the masala tea, which we totally fell in love with! Highly recommended if you're looking to enjoy authentic Asian flavors in a charming and peaceful setting. Would love to visit again on our next trip

Peace cafe or welcome cafe, run by a Korean lady is a nice cafe around the area~ We ordered thukpa, vegetable pakode and drinks~ My hot chocolate was nice The serving was good too

I visit to welcome cafe once a week for sure. Their Niramomo(mutton Tutse momo) is the best momo!! They have many variety of meat foods. My fav is mutton nira momo, pork frid rice, petse with pork. They are all hard worker as well. Thank you all the time delicious foods for us. The cafe is very small,group should be max 4people.

Vege momos from Kelsang’s Kitchen was one of the best I had! 😊🙏 So I had it 3 times. I wish I stayed longer to try all the other dishes too. Kelsang was so helpful too, bit of a life saver connecting me with a good cab driver and other advices. Very much appreciated!! Definitely a must try for authentic Tibetan food after a visit to Namgyal Monastery 🙏🙏😊

The momos, whether steamed or fried, are plump dumplings generously filled with soft cheese and served with a tangy dipping sauce. For something truly comforting, order the thenthuk, a hand-pulled noodle soup that’s perfect for cold or rainy days. Snow Lion is a wonderful spot to experience hearty, homestyle Tibetan cooking in a cosy setting.

Our favourite restaurant in town :). We are in Mcleodganj for one month and we come here almost every day. The best thing about the restaurant is the fact that you can choose to switch ingredients in meals based on your special needs. As we are gluten and dairy free we appreciate so much that thanks to Snow lion we can taste tibetan specialities that we otherwise couldn't. For example Thukpa with rice noodles instead of wheat flour noodles is one of our favourite. You can choose from variety of tasty veg foods that are full of diverse veggies and you will find also mushrooms. The prices are very good and our favourite are the pancakes, they make them so fluffy :). The atmosphere is very cosy and you can look at beautiful snow covered mountains from opened window in the back of the restaurant. The owner is very nice too :) he always makes sure that we get well prepared gluten free options of meals.

While wandering around the main square, we ran into our close friends and decided to grab breakfast. As we started down Jogiwara Road, it became clear that the area was bustling with tourists, including plenty of foreigners. We cautiously approached a restaurant, keeping in mind the need for cleanliness since we had kids with us. Thankfully, it exceeded our expectations. They provided paper and a pencil for orders, which was quite efficient. The service was unexpectedly swift. Every dish we tried was impressive. The waffle was exceptional, and the presentation of the veg omelette was stunning. The Tibetan breakfast, featuring their homemade bread and cheese, was simply delightful. We couldn't help but notice how much others were enjoying their meals too. This place is absolutely a must-visit for breakfast! Although I am not certain whether they offer hotel accommodations, I have a strong feeling that if they do, it will meet high standards of quality. 👍👍👍 I shall be visiting there for sure whenever I am at McLeodganj…. Just loved it… ❤️❤️

This cafe has a wide variety of coffee, tea, juices and even matcha and kombucha drinks! All the drinks I tried here are excellent. The place is also clean and overall an oasis of peace in the middle of the main street, they even have books to read. Staff was also very attentive, looking forward to having breakfast here.

I visit this restaurant every time I am in McLeod Ganj. I love homemade kombucha (mostly apple kombucha) Veg burgers with homemade and Tibetan kind of bread which are veeeery tasty. But they are so big that don't take another dish before you will try this one and make sure you will eat it all:-) Momos and thukpa are really good as well. Desserts and coffee are something you must try:-)))

11/2/25 🩷 We visited the restaurant. 🩷 Ordered 1 thukpa veg (130), 1 thenthuk veg (130), 1 veg burger (160), 1 mix beg momo steam (130), 1 plain pancake (130). Total was Rs 680. 🩷 For 2 people 1 thukpa and 1 thenthuk are enough to fill the stomach. After ordering we realised that we ordered too much which we couldn't finish. 🩷 Thukpa and thenthuk were good. 🩷 Veg burger was of tibetan bread served with fries and salad. It was okay, the fries were nice. The burger was not hot. 🩷 Momos were also okay. 🩷 The pancake was delicious, fluffy and soft. 🩷 Prices are reasonable according to the quantity. 🩷 The quality of the food was also good. 🩷 The ambience of the restaurant was nice. It was quiet, cosy and good for pictures. 🩷 They give a paper and a pen to write what we want to order. 🩷 After we were full, we asked what they do with the food left by people. They said they don't waste food as they feed the leftover food to cows. We had to leave food. 🩷 Everything tasted good when warm but due to cold weather everything got cold really quick. So, order less and order the rest after finishing the things ordered. 🩷 One of the best restaurants we visited in Dharamshala.

We had dinner and an afternoon tea at the restaurant and did not stay at this hotel. The potato cheese bakley (UFO) is delicious, and we went for an afternoon tea the next day just to eat the potato cheese bakley before we leave.

Though the food was good, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor service standards. The waiter assigned to our table was extremely unprofessional—speaking loudly, acting indifferent while taking our order, and even muttering curses about another guest in front of us. He was also talking on his mobile phone, engaging in loud conversations with other staff, and, shockingly, was smoking inside the restaurant and serving without washing his hands. This behavior is completely unacceptable and a major health concern. Management must take immediate action to enforce hygiene and customer service standards.

One of the oldest and famous place in Dharamkot. Vibe of this place is always high.. nice seating arrangement of all kinds on two floors. Amazing food variety from Indian to Italian to Iranian. Equally delicious variety of drinks and deserts.

don't think too much.. a must visit place, this was one of places that locals recommended....relaxing & soothing with scenic ambiance..... saw a lot of international tourists, local Israeli's & tibets, place felt some kind of a "global corner".... ordered hummus falafel platter, it was smooth, well balanced ,felt clean & satisfying.... overall decent food with scenic & laid-back vibes...

The restaurant is decent overall. Mushroom tikka was definitely the highlight—flavorful and well-cooked. The rest of the food was just okay, nothing too special. Service and ambiance were average. Good for a quick bite if you’re in the area, but not a must-visit unless you’re craving mushroom tikka.

The food here is really good. We tried fried rice along with Chinese spicy pork. The pork was really good. Also tried xioa long bao, not very good. Next day again we went for brunch. Had latte was 👍. Again ordered fried rice, chinese spicy pork and Dawa meat fry in Beijing sauce. The meat fry was sweet and perfect as a starter.

A friend suggested this place to me and I decided to drop in. It's a woman owned business. All the ladies are sweet and the service is fast. The ambience is a 10/10 especially the fireplace and the lil trinkets around the place. I liked their food. It was decent and surprisingly not as expensive as most of the places in the market are. If you are in McLeod do visit this place.

This was the spot we felt most comfortable in, and read and relaxed for a few hours. Delicious food and tea, a thoughtful and considered menu that finds authentic and common ground with Tibetan, Indian and Chinese cuisines, housed within a beautifully decorated interior with excellent facilities. We felt right at home, and the intentions of the place as “common ground” could be felt. Beautiful place, cozy and comfortable. Opportunity to try different food in McLeod, most of the dishes are based in Taiwanese and Chinese cuisine but not traditional. Because of the explanation in the menu I expected to eat a very traditional dishes but wasn’t 100% same in taste. But very good experience and good food.

Great place with great food, excellent coffee and lovely owners and staff! I’ve tried few vegan options, and would recommend their tofu scramble breakfast and PB&J sandwich. Well, and coffee as well! The atmosphere is good and cozy, where you can relax, and unwind. Overall a great place. Thanks

It’s a small cafe, has homely vibes and also has amazing food. We’ve been to this place thrice already, but haven’t already gotten over the food. We’ve had bhakleb with amazing chutney mixed with soya sauce and vinegar and veg richose (momos in soup) it’s a must have dish in mcleodganj, and if you’re here don’t forget to try egg soup as well.

Still the best place to grab fresh momos and chowmain. Lovely family run business, been coming since 2017. Great vegetarian meals, dont miss out on this place

I went there for breakfast and I had nice and old gentleman hosting me. He was very polite and even gave brilliant suggestions as I was confused by the variety of options available at that place. I had butter tea and veg cheese thukpa and both of them were delicious.

Had cheese thupka which was amazing in taste. The quantity was more than expected. Taste was one of the best. Staff was welcoming and courteous. We were full with the thupka so couldnot try anything more. So before you visit this cafe- empty your stomach!!

We visited Labooze cafe for the 1st time and the food was amazing. The vibe and the bar gives a modern touch with a view of the Himalyas. The staff and the service is superb - Mr. Madanlal Sharma is very friendly and jovial and helped us alot in guiding amazing nearby tourist attractions- Must go to place!

For any English beer lovers - a 'pint' in India is 330ml as a waiter kindly explained. The staff were very nice, but if you're looking for a cosy bar/place to drink this feels more like a restaurant and is quite expensive for drinks.

Located near McLeodganj’s main square, Jimmy’s Bakery is a cozy gem. I tried the Tibetan Butter Tea and their Hot Chocolate, and both were exceptional. The butter tea was rich and warming, but the hot chocolate stole the show—it’s the best I’ve ever had: creamy, rich, and perfectly balanced. A must-visit for great drinks and a relaxing vibe!

13/2/25 🩷 We wanted to have chocolate truffle pastry, but that wasn't available, so we chose to have chocolate delight as it was the only chocolate pastry available that could get heated. 🩷 We asked to heat it to eat it warm, but when they served it, it wasn't warm; it was of normal temperature, and then we said again to heat it. 🩷 The second time they heated it, maybe at a high temperature, all the layers got separated, and the chocolate melted. Anyways, the pastry was delicious, and being warm, it tasted better. 🩷 1 chocolate delight pastry was of Rs 150. 🩷 The ambience is nice. It's a quiet, cute, and cosy place. 🩷 The interior is also done well. 🩷 There's a sitting area outside, which looks good too. 🩷 Due to the cold weather, we chose to sit inside the cafe. 🩷 If you ask for a bill, they have to make a GST bill, so we said to write on a paper what we ordered with the price, and that was the bill. 🩷 If we visit Dharamshala again, we would try their other cakes as well, as they looked good too. 🩷 Although the prices are high. But the quality, taste, and quantity seem fine.

My go to place for chocolate truffle cake. It's absolutely luscious, and the perfect pick me up after a bad meal or a bad day. Their vanilla and blueberry cheesecake aren't bad either, though a tad sweet for my taste. The pizza quality fluctuates, though is generally good, and their thalis are really good as well. The cafe is on a busy street, so it's perfect for people watching, though if you want a respite from the noise and busyness, it's best to sit upstairs. The staff is friendly, and the ambience comfortable. The extension to the inside seating downstairs is a welcome addition.

Love their desserts. In love with their mousse cake, it’s just so fine, simply melts in your mouth. I always stop by this place whenever I am in McLeod Ganj. Located in the main square market.

Hands down this is the best bakery in whole Mcleodganj. Loved there blueberry cheesecake and it might be the best cheesecake I have ever had. Do try their Bannofe Pie and Tiramisu as well. If I ever visit Mcleo again that would be only to visit their bakery again!

Visited this cafe almost 4 years ago and loved it so much back then that just couldn't help revisit it again this time. I had my first brush with Tibetan cuisine at this cafe and was literally dying to satiate my taste buds with their food again. This time too it tasted just as divine. The best part about thukpa and thenthuk is that every cafe makes the soup differently, trying out these two dishes is always a pleasant surprise. The ambience is very colourful and lovely, proper COVID-19 protocols are being followed with mask mandates and sanitizers on tables. The owners are extremely hospitable, they have an ultra cute daughter too who is a delight to interact with!

Loved this place. Ordered Portamein (handmade noodles) and Shabakleb (something like a fried momo, but better), both were delicious. We finished it all even though our stomachs were already full. The lady who runs the cafe is very sweet. We had a really good time dining here.

This place is an absolute marvel. Run by a family, this cost little cafe serves some amazing Tibetan food. You have to try the Aloo Phing Sha/Tingmo(Tibetan bread), Shabhaklep and Portamein Noodles. Believe me. You will love it.

I love Tibetan food and have tried a few cuisines in Delhi, Bangalore and in Mcleodganj too. But out of all the places I've ever eaten in, Black Tent is definitely a place to be, and to taste the best home cooked tibetan food. If you have had tibetan cuisines earlier, you will immediately make out the difference. The ingredients were freshly cut and cooked. The hosts are absolutely amazing and makes you feel at home with positive vibes. Recommended food: -Portamien (Hand made noodles) -Thenthuk -Ema/Shamoo Datsi & Tingmo (On request) -Black tent Salad (very light salad goes good with any dish for a different flavor)

Small little place run by a guy from Nepal. Very reasonable Momos and chowmein. Liked the taste, my kids enjoyed too. My daughter needed bottled water and he helped get that... So if you're looking for street fast food you can try this place.

Small shop in kachcheri bazar provides fast food at a reasonable price. They serves fast food items like momo, chow-mein, thupka, spring rolls, veg soup(10 to 15 rupees), Chicken Manchurian, chilli manchurian, vegitable manchurian as mention in there menu. seller is very polite and humble but little bit busy during evening tym preferable to visit early to enjoy hassle free service because in evening tym due to small size of the shop itself gets very crowdy. But if you want to carry out any of the item they provide please come at any tym of the day and enjoy some delicious food.

We had come across this restaurant on Trip Advisor recoomendation. Located on roof top of Best Western plus Hotel. Went for dinner just before sunset. Amazing views all around. On one side there were mountains and other side valley. Great views. Chilly winds blowing. Saw amazing sunset. As it was Saturday they had a live singer. Food was delucious. We had veg manchow soup, veg starter platter and stuffed kulcha. It was worth the experience going from mcleodgang to the restaurant. Highly recommended.

One of the worst places in McLeod due to their lack of respect for the local community. They BLAST ear-splitting music every Saturday night (and sometimes other nights too) until 3:30am or so, disturbing the sleep of hundreds (thousands?) of people in the normally quiet and peacefully valley below. Basically they disregard the well-being of everyone within a two-mile radius so they can 'party' all night. I heard that regulations in India stipulate no loud noise/music after 11pm? So how do they get away with it ... greasing the palms of local officials? Probably better not know. Don't support this place until they turn down their music at a reasonable time!

This cafe doesn't even have a cook, plz don't go there, you will waste time only. I went there on a weekend, only a couple of people were sitting there. I sat for 15 mins and no one came to take order or even give water. I went to the counter to ask for order, and the girl sitting there said, we r not serving food, as we don't have cook. I asked for beer, so they only has kingfisher basic. And a wiskey of one brand. That was not it. This place was on 4 floor and the stairs and part of building were under construction.

Like every other tourist I came here to eat “Thukpa” but ended up having another soup with chicken momo in it. So soothing & warm on a rainy day. The space is small and cozy overlooking the main bazar/ market of macleodganj. There is a lot to taste from the menu from india to Chinese’s to local Tibetan food.

TL;DR - Overhyped Tried mutton and chicken momos. Honestly mutton momos was juicy but was having a unusual after taste, was not able to eat more than 2. Chicken momos were dry. I have had much better momos in Gurugram & Delhi. Don’t trust the comments and feedback from other food bloggers. Every human have different taste and preferences.

We Loved the Mutton momo so much we went back & ate again for dinner. I’m not one to eat momo, but since it was highly recommended, i gave it a try. WOW… one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long long time that had me thinking about it all day and then again. What a gem 🥰

A hidden cosy restaurant in the Dharamkot road, just a few metres away from the main chowk. Blink and you will miss it. Now coming to the food, I can't rave enough. Took mutton momo steamed, keema thukpa, and lemon honey ginger tea. It felt heavenly. Also the portions were good. I could not even finish half the thukpa and had to pack it as the portions was huge for 1 person. Please visit and try their delicacies

The momo sauce is FIRE. I can handle a bit of heat but this place has the most fiercest chutney I've ever had. Both the momo steamed & fried are brilliant, they are cooked to perfection. The veg chowmein and fried rice both come loaded with veggies. Tibetan style, super yummy. Lemon Pepsi gets a special mention as it a lifesaver for cutting down the fiery heat of the momo chutney. The service is top-notch, with friendly and efficient staff who make the experience even better. Even though I have visited multiple times, the momos and chowmein are so good that I haven't been able to try other items from the small but mighty menu. A total VFM and a must visit place!

Ate at The Orchid during our 2-Day stay at Fortune Park Moksha. The restaurant is situated in the hotel itself and also has a small bar in one of the corners. The dinner buffet has limited options, especially for vegetarians and I found the food to be just edible and average. Honestly, I was expecting much better dinner buffet from an ITC restaurant. The desserts appeared to be hard and stale and their were limited options in the main course. The most surprising thing was that they do not have any proper starter or appetiser! Not even one! They offer a wide variety of salads and both day they had Dahi Bhalla & Papdi Chaat (Yes, they all were repeated) but not even a single starter! This was most astonishing for me as even the smallest of restaurants offer atleast 1 decent starter in their buffet! The breakfast at Orchid is better than the dinner and the 3 stars are because of that. The ambience at breakfast is even better as one can sit outside on the balcony and eat while admiring the views of the Dhauladhar mountains and McLeodganj in the distance. The service is courteous but lacks a bit of warmth. Would have liked it better if the servers wore a smile on their faces instead of the straight-faced matter-of-fact curt look. Just an average place and only option to eat if you're staying at the hotel as the town is a bit far away.

Wasted INR 400 on a very basic , stale chicken burger . I was craving for burger and asked them for a takeaway, my room was 2 minutes from the place . As early as I reached they didn’t provided any dips or sauce , basic precooked patty and it was cold and pathetic in taste . Disappointed.

Delivery was so late. We starved till death and after all that, what we got was extremely worst. Fly in bread and blood in chicken.

The music is too loud & people smoke around a lot…they should a private smoking area & also they don’t provide peanuts with beer which was very disheartening & at the end after waiting for an hour we got our order and instead of naan they gave us roti. Replacement was done but this place didn’t meet our expectations

We ordered their veg special pizza but was served a very basic version instead, as their main chef was on leave. The order took around 30 minutes to arrive, and we weren’t informed beforehand about the chef being unavailable. Had they told us, we could have chosen something simpler and saved both time and money. Disappointing experience.

I was walking through the street when i overheard the guy singing with the great voice. This is how I get into this restaurant only to find out that it's not only the singing of the person, but infact the whole atmosphere is full of energy. Right from their service to the food, they leave no stone unturned to make this moment a memorable one. My wife was so thrilled that she even sang a song and the singer did oblige her. A must visit restaurant with multiple food and drinks options along with wonderful singing.
