The 28 best breakfast and brunch in West Greece

The food was amazing. Massive portions and so so tasty. The service was also incredible, waiters were so lovely and accommodating. We decided to have the mushroom and chicken pasta (pictured), which was so rich and filling. We also had the Saffron rice, which was also very rich but delicious. Then we had the Zeus burger and a pizza. This was more than enough for the 4 of us; 2 adults, a teen boy and a younger child and we actually ended up taking half the pizza home. We came back the following day for breakfast and got the salmon and egg on brioche bun (pictured) as well as the Oreo pancakes, which were massive. We also got the savoury pancakes with egg and ham, which were very nice but the pancakes were sweet which didn’t quite fit. Finally, we had the waffle with maple syrup which was also very nice but underwhelming in comparison to the rest of the food. Amazing service and amazing food, would 100% recommend.

Lovely evening meal at Zeus. Friendly, efficient service and very tasty, well presented food and cocktails. The whole town seemed quieter last night than when we passed through on Tuesday, so it was not quite the buzzy atmosphere I imagine it can be, but still a very pleasant evening.

We were starving, and it turned out that all of us wanted a hamburger. Some of us ordered the special, and the rest ordered a regular hamburger. It came with a side of fries. My hamburger was okay, but for the other four diners it wasn’t very tasty. The fries, in my opinion, were too salty. The homemade lemonade was excellent. In short, maybe we ordered the wrong dish, so I’d recommend going for something else on the menu—or if you’re in the mood for a hamburger, try a different place.

Highly recommend - ordered the Greek Salad and Chicken Souvlaki. Both were amazing and authentic, every piece was beyond delicious that even my picky teenager ate every bite. Also, ordered their red wine and it was really tasty - wish I could purchase it to take it. Server was also really great, let us enjoy the ambience and did a great job with service. Cool ambiance as well!

A bright open space in the centre of Olympia. We were greeted by a bright smiling server who spoke English and Greek which was helpful. We ordered various dishes and had no complaints from our group. A lot of the dishes seemed to be made from scratch rather than store bought. My chicken burger had a home made bun! The cocktails were amazing and the service was great. It was also a good mix of younger people and older people. We came back the next morning and sat on the couches for our coffee. We were really impressed with everything.

This was by far the best meal we’ve had ever since we have been on this cruise, may also have been the best mashed potatoes I have ever had in my life! We were in a rush after our archaeological exploration and were in desperate need of food and only had 45 minutes to be ready to return to our ship. The manager, hostess/waitress were made aware of our time constraints and they followed up with world class hospitality. Not only did they make sure we were out within (less) than 45 mins but they gave us Greece’s finest from the tzatziki, souvlaki and of course those mashed potatoes that were puréed to perfection paired with their best Greek white wine. When we finished our waitress assisted in translating with our taxi driver over the phone to be ready for our departure. This simply may have been a significant highlight in our vacation. There is a reason why Zeus King of all Gods. Thank you again 🫶🏽

The restaurant has a great location, but unfortunately, the food doesn't live up to expectations. The portions are overpriced for what you get, with small portions that leave you still hungry. The taste was reasonable, but not impressive. My fish arrived undercooked, and the cheesecake was just okay - nothing special. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Because we expected more because of the prices and location but the atmosphere is good

Spectacular view of the ocean as well as the Antirrio Bridge. The honey fried feta is to die for. Mushroom ravioli wasn’t great, but their burgers and penne are awesome. Went there twice in the span of two weeks and it did not disappoint.

Food was really great! My husband and I are out on our honeymoon and I picked the restaurant at random. Wine was amazing, the red velvet cake was interesting and different from the US. But we enjoyed everything! We also came for brunch and dinner in the same day and everything was perfect as well!

we ordered 2 main dishes. both was quit small and cost quit a bit. we order a desert as well that was just ok. main dishes. flakes with seafood. and Solomon. for desert cheesecake. our experience was expensive based on only ok food...

Distinto was a great choice for dinner! The bao buns appetizer was a tasty start to dinner, and the risotto was perfect. The volcano cake was one of the best desserts I've had. Pantelis was a very warm and welcoming host. He made us feel comfortable.

We had visited just for a coffee break and we were satisfied with the coffee served as well as the service provided.

A cozy cafeteria in center of Patra. Absolutely polite girls in service. They always give you a solution in anything you need. Tasties are really interesting and the coffee really qualified. If you are in are make a stop to try their pancakes. Also noticed the nice decoration but this is not unusual for a coffee place in Greece.

A very cozy café, with a variety of drinks to choose from. The staff was polite and kept their distance, as per the covid regulations. I had a tea and a croissant, both arrived quickly and were fresh. UPDATE: Their service and quality is still stellar and they handle rude customers very well. Worth the 5*.

This cafe is on the main Street of morning activity in Patras! Located near the center there is a nice view and shaded areas if needed. The food is excellent and I recommend the salty croissant or the pancakes. They have English menus available if needed

Located in the heart of Kalavryta just vis-a-vis of the church, this café serves the typical Greek coffee specialties, prepared from a choice of different coffee types. They also serve waffles and a lot of other snacks. Even the priests from the church visit this café after the liturgy has ended.

No matter the inside style and the Christmas decoration, this Cafe clearly doesn't respect neither the law nor the customers. Smoking policy is simply for others as even parents with their kids does not respect themselves as they smoke freely in front of them and on the same table, and the rest of the visitors who don't prefer to breath other's smoke! Manager is definitely rude, smokes freely himself in front of all visitors and has to do a lot as far as respect is concerned. Avoid unless you are one of this kind of people that just don't care! Such a shame!

The coffee is quite bad. Freddo espresso is something like 200ml of cold black sour water. The view is nice, staff friendly but don't order the coffee.

Great place for coffee and homemade pies, very friendly service. Highlight: an opportunity to learn about the local history at Kalavryta, from the years of the Turkish occupation until the German barbarism in the WW2. Also nice paintings from the snow covered mountain of Helmos and the ski center.

Staff is attentive and helpful. Bougatsa for my taste is a bit too bready. Titopita and trigono very tasty.

Original cafe with original sweets. Galaktoboureko with very smooth cream, Gianniotikos baklava good, nice kataif. Portions are BIG! These are the ones we tried take out. Service and coffee indifferent. At autumn we had wasps attacking anything sweet.

This place is very well located near the train station. People here are very friendly and the service is fast. Price are responsible. The taste was ok...we just had "tiropita" and "bougatsa". There were good but not something exceptional.

Breakfast time at Makina, first time there.. possibly we were one of the first customers for the day. Espresso didn't had the single origin, so we took the normal one.. greek coffee ... Pancakes and omelette.. everything was tasty just a little bit the quantity of the food could be a little bit more.

We arrived at Makina after a little incident happened to us during our trip in Greece. This place brought us some happiness thanks to the nice staff, the great atmosphere and the delicious food. We left the place happier than we arrived so thank you ! The chicken burger was one of the best I tasted for a long time. It’s really a little germ in Patras, dont miss it!

One of my best places for food and brunch in the city center of Patras . This place offers a lot of options with reasonable pricing . I liked the smell of the Asian style food . Ok freddo espresso and gorgeous fresh raspberry lemonade !!

Really good time here! The cooking is delicious and there are many choices in the menu, even vegan and vegetarian options. The prices are quite low for a good quality meal :) We ate very well and surely recommand 😋

Restaurant is placed on the mountains and the view is really nice. It is like a Greek taverna and they make traditional products like liqueur and 🍯 honey and Balsamic vinegar etc. The food was nice and the prices super okay. Had steak 🥩 really nice, giouvetsi -it was not that good, fasolada was tasty, pasta with 🐓 rooster also really nice and a salad 🥗. Salad was ok, not something special. They also brought us trachanas soup which was amazing!!!! Revithokeftedes were ok,not great and the spinach pie also good . Generally nice family place, nice local Greek food, nice view and nice People.

2 stars because of the price difference buying this wine. From the Grand chalet shop (not restaurant) it was €25 and in Kalavryta (10km away) €15-17.5 (50-67% higher). We want to support our locals but also call out when prices are excessive and insulting. My recommendation would be to double check before you buy from here.

Perfect location for the Low level flying during NATO exercises. The food is superb, freshly cooked. The Greek Coffee really kicks and gets you going. We were made so welcome by the team, cannot wait to visit again and again. Loved the cats!!!

This is one of the nicest place we had coffe in greece. The view is amazing. It is located ~10 minutes drive from Kalavrita. ZINOBIA our waiters was one of the happiest and plesent person we met.

Excellent food, Cosy place with possibly the best view you can find around and a more than welcoming staff. Food is exceptional, they got all the classic recipes from the area but they also got different nice plates that will amaze you! We are hoping to visit soon again ! The Greek omelette was surprisingly good. The Greek salad had a nice upgrade, caper. The side bread that came with was also good. The mochachino, if you put aside that there was cream on top when I specifically asked that I don't want whipped cream, did not add a lot of sweetness to the beverage.

We stopped by for breakfast on our way to the Ancient Olympic site. Delightful, warm, and attentive service. We have experienced large portions in Greece so we ordered the fresh squeezed orange juice and shared the scrambled egg plate. It was so good. As we left town the next morning, we returned to Rodo for breakfast but I refused to share this time. We each ordered the scrambled egg plate. It was THAT good. Highly recommend this spot for breakfast.

I had a sandwich called “Italy,” but the cheese had no flavor whatsoever. The tables were impractical nowhere to put your legs. The wine was quite overpriced. When I went to pay, they seemed to expect a tip, which I found rather inappropriate

The first thing to note is that you won’t see a sign which identifies this as the Rodo Cafe- at least we did not. That being said the atmosphere is a good one, calm, and good with decent selections. We enjoyed our time and had no complaints- we would be happy to go back.

Large cafeteria in the center of the Venetian port of Nafpaktos with tables inside and also on the pedestrian street outside overlooking the port. It also has a selection of sweets to combine with your coffee.

Best place to sit & have a coffee during the daytime- put your phone away- & marvel at the best vantage point of the port. And at night- substitute the coffee for a delicious cocktail, sit & marvel at the view of the beautiful port all lit up at night. A must while visiting Nafpaktos!

A great place to relax from a day of touristing. The Christmas tea and cookie snacks are sweet and delectable. Our tour group brought us here as a rest stop and it was very relaxing. We all wished we were able to rest here longer!

Great little corner coffee spot at the center of Patras with lots of healthy options available! The carrot cake is amazing. Try any of the cookies from their display, they're delicious. I tried the salted chocolate and the white chocolate cookies and loved them. In the winter it has seats indoors where it's very cozy and warm, as well as outdoors for those sunny spells. The prices are exceptionally reasonable. Highly recommended.

The best brunch place in town! I had the free range eggs omelette with chicken, avocado, grilled mushrooms and lemon sauce and it was really delicious. I highly recommend it!

Nice small breakfast and lunch spot in downtown. The staff was friendly and spoke good English. The açaí berry bowl is good and the omelette was also good. The pancakes with cheddar,mayo and bacon were maybe the best I have tried in Patras.The decoration was on the posh side with the removable glass ceiling and the marble walls. Unfortunately, the service is kinda slow and the coffee not so good.

Adorable spot in the heart of Patras. We came for a breakfast and coffee. Service was wonderful and interior is very well done. Just wish I took photos of that. We both had omelettes that came with grilled bread and lettuce salad.

Very rude waiter to a shocking degree. Made the whole experience terrible. Food was not good either. Also possibly the only restaurant in Greece that requires payment before food arrives. Management needs to sort the place out.

Very bad experience. Waiter did not speak English and we could not make clear what we wanted, even when pointing at the menu. Made no effort to understand what we wanted. Received the wrong dish and never received the other order. Waited for one and a half hour with only an appetizer (which was just ok), not even drinks. All while having a small child growing hungry and restless. Even after complaining at the bar, we did not receive our food, or an apology. Maybe this place is different if you speak Greek, otherwise would highly recommend you stay away.

Amazing stay in a very quiet neighborhood that is really safe even though some buildings are closed forever. Hotel is very clean. Restaurant has very good food. People are super helpful and speak english well. There is an elevator but it is super small but we were very thankful for the elevator because my husband uses a wheelchair. Loved it.

Recently been staying near here and come here for food one night and it was so good. We decided to come back for five nights on the trot. Great staff so friendly really fast service really friendly and fantastic food great prices and even a parrot to keep you company

Such a beautiful and lovely place!!! Spent a few of my last days in Palairos everyday buying amazing ice cream and iced coffee for friends there! We stopped to have breakfast here, and were not disappointed! We ordered 3xtea, espresso, 2xfruit salad, 2xwaffle with ice cream and french toast. All in all this costed only 19€!!! Summed up: very cheap, very delicious (everything tasted fresh and homemade) and very sweet staff. Noone speaks English, but we managed alright. If you order breakfast you can even get bread, butter, jam and the like, for free😁

This is a really good café. The service is very polite and even when it's busy they serve food and drinks quickly. The sun shines there in the mornings also. We (3 people) ate several things over two days and it was all very nice. Next time in Patras we will go again.

This is a really nice place to have lunch. The staff is really friendly and helpful. There were lots of options to choose from on the menu, salty, sweet, cakes and burgers. Not your typical Greek place, which is nice if you like a bit of a change in cuisine. Definitely try it out!

My friends and I ordered banana chocolate pancakes, double greek coffee, cappuccino latte, ginseng tea and sons of heaven tea. The pancakes were great, plenty for 2 or 3 people to share. We went at Faces Cafe to have a Pizza Margherita. We ordered the Pizza. The time was passing by. Later we ordered two more courses. The two other courses arrived on time, but no Pizza. We reminded the personnel about the Pizza. Several minutes later they brought us a special Pizza, we did not accept because we wanted and had ordered Margherita.
