The ambience of the restaurant is pleasant however if you are sitting facing the front glass windows of the restaurant the sun is constantly in your eyes and face for the entire meal. It is most uncomfortable and as the tables are round so somebody is required to sit in that table position. The food is average, if I were to come back I would try the pizza. We did not get a chance to try the pizza this time as the oven closed before the restaurant closing time. I would not recommend the rhubarb crumble, it was tasteless. Service was good, Charmaine was friendly, funny and welcoming.

First time here today. Nice food here with a great atmosphere fast service even when busy. Staff look happy and are polite. Every area looks clean, tidy and kept to a good standard throughout. Definitely return here when in the area again.

Lovely country pub set in beautiful Kentish scenery. Lovely food and country setting with loads of outdoor space. Service was good apart from the 1 guy on the pizza making station who had a seriously rude with a huge attitude to a simple and pleasant question. Apparently when I informed another member of staff he told me.. 'yes sorry about he can be rude and he can get very angry' 🤔 prob the wrong job for him then working in a family pub. 🥴 Other than that though it was a nice chill afternoon.

We visited Poacher and Partridge for the first time last night after having it recommended to us, and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was warm and the venue is beautiful, the service was brilliant from Jo and Samirul, very friendly and attentive. On top of this, the food was delicious! We'll definitely be returning!

Nice pub just out of Tonbridge town centre. Beer was well kept and the pizzas are pretty good too! Dartboards and pool tables and well laid out.

We LOVE the Forresters! Used to live in Tonbridge but moved away. Still stop by whenever I can - top notch pizzas - lovely beers and cocktails - and an array of games and fun stuff to do across two floors (incl shuffleboard!). Went for a family lunch to celebrate a birthday. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The whole place was decorated with posters, DVD cases, CD's and other memorabilia which was so interesting to look at. We sat upstairs and had a few games of shuffleboard and connect 4 and later a game of pool. We ordered various pizzas which were freshly made and delicious. Will definitely be visiting again and recommending to others.

Always a pleasure having a drink at the Foresters. Whether it be an afternoon catch-up with a friend or an evening session, the atmosphere is great. It's a good 'old fashioned' pub that appeals to young and old. Their pizza's are very tasty too! Well worth a visit.

My husband and I have been coming here for the past year and have to say it’s a bit hit and miss. They’ve recently refurbished the venue and whilst the decor and atmosphere is good, the food is lacking. We went on Sunday and said we don’t think we’ll be back. Our previous visits were poor, but Sunday was awful. Our starters were cold. I had the garlic mushrooms which looked curdled and had a weird fishy taste to them and the dish was tiny. It was also smothered in a basil oil which was so overpowering and I think it was vegetable oil and not olive oil. Our mains were ok but took 90 minutes to arrive and when they did, we were told our cauliflower cheese was going to be with us in 10 minutes as the chef had forgotten it. It was all warm but certainly not hot and all tasted like it had been sat for hours so I don’t know why it took so long to come out. The carrot and swede mash portion was laughable. I think it’s style over substance here unfortunately. The servers are always so welcoming and lovely, just a shame they have to suffer the complaints due to an incompetent chef(s).

Very nice, friendly, efficient staff. Good menu, plenty of choice and well priced. Very good children's menu not just the usual nuggets and chips. Prompt service and food well cooked and presented. We were a large group but all got served at same time. Will be happy to come back.

We had not booked for lunch but, in spite of being very busy, we were given a table. We had been told there might be a delay because other diners had booked. The bar manager showed us to a table, and gave us a menu. There was no delay at all from ordering to the food coming which was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious, hot, and beautifully presented. I had sea bass and prawn risotto, my husband elected for beef and mushroom pie. This was our first visit but certainly will not be our last. Superb food and service, what is not to like, combined with easy, free car parking, a real bonus. Thank you to all the staff at the Vauxhall Inn, keep up the good work 👏👏

My risotto was delicious, my boyfriend loved his signature burger and his chocolate brownie Shame my salted caramel sundae let it down as I personally found it too sweet I was assured by the very friendly staff not to worry about the parking situation so just hoping I won’t get a hefty fine like some of you have said. However £4.15 for a glass of coke seemed a little steep but would happily come here again

The place itself is really nice and country like. However, we were a table of 9 so I understand a bit of time for food and drinks but both took a really long time to come? My food was not warm it was almost cold and the bread that came with my prawns was rock hard. Our servers also weren’t enthusiastic at all and seemed like they didn’t want to be there and were really unbothered. There were not many thank yous or really friendliness and a lack of menu knowledge from the waitresses which was quite disappointing.

Came for some lunch. Had the cheese toastie, It was absolutely appalling. Worst cheese toastie I've ever had. Completely rock hard (not even sure how they managed that, didn't even look toasted) and the cheese was basically non existent. Don't waste your money on the toastie! We ordered x2 toasties and both was equally poor excuses of a toastie. Also took almost 50 mins to arrive.

Went for a meal for 5. Got seating upstairs, we had the whole area to ourselves. Was nice and cool, seats were a bit hard but table was spacious. Man taking orders was very nice, and quite witty. Food was fantastic. All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Its quite pricey, but all in all was a really nice time. The refurb is very well done. Toilets were very clean also! Although we didn't use it, there is also plenty of seating outside. I definitely recommend this place. I had the mixed grill and it was excellent.

Absolutely terrific meal from start to finish. The smoked salmon starter was beautifully balanced and elegantly presented—light but full of flavour. The ox cheek pie that followed was a standout: packed with a deeply rich, high-quality filling while still managing to look great. Finished with a fantastic cheesecake that played with texture and flavour in all the right ways.

This is a beautiful pub, one not to miss if you are in Kent. The interior and garden are equally well-done, with a really tasteful decor. Drinks selection is fantastic and the bars are done up very nicely. It's dog friendly in the bar too which is brilliant.

Exceptionally good food and great atmosphere! I dined alone as i was travelling through, but I enjoyed being in what seemed to be a very familiar and welcome environment. Would highly recommend it and I'll be back for sure!

We arrived and got a lovely welcome from a gentleman at the bar who took us to our table, we had a choice of one outside or inside. We chose outside as it was lovely weather. The outside was done to make it seem like the Amalfi Coast, and it was a stunning atmosphere. I chose the roast gammon and my dad chose the roast pork. One of the best roasts I’ve had out, the only thing was the potatoes were slightly cold, but being outside I expected it not to be hot hot. We were mostly served by the delightful Kate, she’s amazing at what she does. Had a laugh about sauces, whatever you do don’t ask for the red jelly stuff at the bottom of fridge haha! Overall very happy and very full, thank you for making our meal amazing!

came here with family for a special occasion and I have to say, this was the worst roast I’ve had out ever. And also the most expensive. £23 for roast beef. It was dry. Overcooked. Just ruined meat. SO much black pepper. It only tasted like black pepper. It was actually shocking. We also ordered a side of mac & cheese and it had NO cheese.£6 for plain unseasoned pasta. It was like baby food. I was actually embarrassed for my family for booking it for a Sunday lunch as my mum travelled a very long way for it. Never again. It was also unbelievably quiet so why was the food so poor??

Their friendliness was never superficial; it carried an authenticity that immediately put me at ease and made the entire visit more memorable. It is often said that the people make the place, and in this instance, Lucy and Lola undoubtedly did. If excellent hospitality is the hallmark of a truly great establishment, then The White Bear is fortunate to have such shining ambassadors of its ethos. Well, this has to be one of the nicest places to visit on a trip to Royal Tunbridge Wells. The food and service was of an exceptional standard. The ambience is perfect. We only popped in for a lunch. Best burger I've had in such a long time. Big compliments to the chef and waiting staff!

As all other places on Pantiles, quite pricey. Visited this place on a bank holiday weekend, lunch. At 12 pm it was pretty empty, could easily find a place. But it gets packed later. Ordered sunday roasts, 2 adults, 1 kid. 1 Juice and 2 cokes. Meat was soft and well cooked, vegetables were delicious. Yorkshire pudding was however a bit overcooked, bitter. Bill was 65 pounds.

Framptons, located at The Pantiles, is a restaurant and bar offering a variety of light meals, beers, cognacs, spirits, and cocktails. The choice of music and the lively atmosphere often create an exciting and eclectic vibe, which explains the high foot traffic during certain hours. While the décor and furnishings could use an update as they appear somewhat worn, this doesn't detract from the overall charm of the bar. The spacing and furniture selection complement their service well, as well as the corner where they are situated perfect for people and weather watching. The prices at Framptons are typical of The Pantiles—slightly high but still affordable, with the ambiance justifying the cost. The only downside during my visit was an encounter with an attendant who was on a phone call when I arrived. He continued the call for more than four minutes before attending to me, which seemed unprofessional. Despite this, he was pleasant and we had a nice chat once he was off the phone. Overall, Framptons is an interesting spot with good service, albeit with a bit of room for improvement in staff behavior. I'll definitely give them another try.

Great staff, fantastic attention to detail on the Pimm's. My first visit here with some friends when visiting the Pantiles. Visited on a Saturday late afternoon. Will definitely be back at some point.

Stop by for lunch with a group of five friends, waitress was very pleasant and took our orders, food took around 45mins and when it arrived most of the dishes were lukewarm with mine being cold. I sent it back and it was replaced but at this point I lost my appetite with one other friend leaving their meal. I’m not sure what was happening in the kitchen but I’m not letting this put me off Looking at previous reviews they have been good, it’s just this day they definitely were not on their game. We did complain to the young waiter/barman but he just shrugged his shoulders and really did not seem interested.

All of the food was flavorful and cooked perfectly and the staff was attentive. The menu has multiple options so there is something for everyone. The drink menu is huge and offers a variety of drink choices. I tried the margarita and it was pretty standard, however the espresso martini ended up being the best drink we had all night! Highly recommend.

Wonderful experience at the El Mariachi, we were two families, 8 people in total. Service was super friendly and fast. Very nice food and atmosphere. We loved the music and decor also. Very welcoming and they are really trying to make you feel good. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. 🥘🥙🌮

Really disappointing. We gave it a chance because the vibe as we walked in really got our hopes up. they really nailed the tex-mex theme. You could drop this place in Texas and it would pass the vibe check (I’m from Texas). Everything went downhill once we got our drinks. We got a pitcher of margaritas and it was super weak and tasted like water more than anything else. The food wasn’t terrible, but it’s soo off the mark of any sort of authentic style. Enchiladas are supposed to be basically drowning in sauce and cheese, but it only had a tiny little dried up drizzle of sauce. For some reason there was a huge pile of some really strange herbal “sour cream” that was really weird and definitely nowhere near a Mexican flavour. The beef filling was decent, but this was just not an enchilada. They’re so close to getting this right, but some weird choices with the food just make it a big miss. It’s a problem with many Mexican or tex-mex places in England, and unfortunately this one is like the others. If the owners read this: you could actually make the food cheaper by following an enchilada recipe. You don’t need guacamole on top, ditch the peppers/ salad, ditch the herbal sour cream. Just smother it in enchilada sauce. It’s super cheap and easy to make. Also put refied beans as the side. Corn tortilla would be next level.

Food really nice. Would have preferred a more Mexican salad eg with salsa rather than mustard. Very little salad in the plate. The number of calamari is down to three rather than four.

The venue has had a lunchtime cheap deal for decades. At the moment, it is pizza or burger plus Carlsberg or other drink for £10. Can be vegan and without the chutney, the vegan pizza is very nice.

Latinfix Salsa Bachata Kizomba monthly party every 1st Friday of the month is the best one in Kent! We love this place and great people here always! Kindest heart teachers, best DJ and music the most friendly athmosphere where you always welcomed and supported. And we love The Manor House super cool staff members and Manager too!

The atmosphere was okay. But the place is really badly maintained. The ladies toilets was flooded with water as well as the mini alleyway part. I was wearing heels and I slipped! Thank God I didn’t crack my head open as it was a nasty fall. The cleaners need to do better!!!

Stepping outside and you’re greeted by a knockout garden space. Whether you’re soaking up the sun or tucked under the covered seating with a pint, it’s the kind of spot that makes you want to linger. I was pleasantly surprised to hear there’s a darts setup upstairs—though I didn’t make it up there myself, it’s a fun touch that adds to the pub’s character. Booked in for 180 Darts with two friends. Haven’t visited this pub since it was the black pig years ago. We were really impressed with the decor and the service was fantastic. Had booked an hour but ended up staying for three. The darts game was fantastic - we will be back to check out the food and garden.

We came to this town just for little sight seeing and shopping and try to find nearest place to eat from car park. Pub look good, howevervthe service was very slow. We wait for more than 10 minutes to get the menu. Then wait another few minutes for our order. As its too much wait we decide to order food at once. And again food came a bit long. Its not even peah hour for lunch as we came nearly 2pm We already hungry and just wait. Glad that the burger taste good. Nachos taste good too. Hope the pub check the guest more often rather than chit chat behid the bar.

Great beer garden with heaters and a gazebo to keep you warm and dry. Despite my mate booking a table if 12 only an hour or so before arriving we managed to get in and a table for all of us. It gets very busy later into the evening so best to get there early if you're looking to sit. The food was brilliant, I got the Wallace burger which was crispy chicken, bacon, coleslaw, jalapenos, and sauce. One of the best burgers I've had in a long time, the chips were good but the burger blew it out the water. Drinks are average price for Tunbridge Wells, and they do steins of Hoffmeister for £10

Nice relaxed pub to grab a drink and a quick bite to eat... Varied menu to suit a variety of tastes ranging from light bites (with dishes like sesame chicken Chinese dumplings, chickpea & aubergine with eggs, and mini truffle and parmesan arancini catching my eye) to more substantial main dishes like chicken milanese, steak, and burgers (as well as Sunday roast menu)... Very nice chilled atmosphere and large outdoor space round the back consisting of seating in both the sun and covered area... Lovely attentive staff so would recommend a visit there...

Cheap. 👍 No pork scratchings. 👎 No atmosphere. 1 or 2 people at each table, sitting at each table watching the football in silence.

This is the new half way pub between me and a mate. Visited twice and loved it both times. Good for a pint and good for watching the game.

Clean, friendly old fashioned local pub, good selection of largers and ciders, shame to only have one bitter on tap, but I would imagine that's down to lack of demand for more. Nice atmosphere music playing at a volume were its possible to chat, and not have to visit an audiologist in the morning.

As ever, great experience in the Punch. Bee and staff are always really friendly and a great atmosphere in the pub as a whole. On this occasion we sat out in the pub garden on the nice scaffold board benches.

My wife and I were walking around the Pantiles last Thursday looking for a place to have an aperitif before going for a meal. We stumbled across Charlotte's. What a wonderful find. A friendly warm welcome and very attentive service. Connie (Fab, cocktails maker) and her team looked after us so well. (Arthur, Louise and the other lovely lady). We sampled the popcorn chicken which was very nice starter, with some beautiful cocktails. They were so good we came back after our Indian meal and had some more. Thank you once again, guys we will be back.

Charlotte's provided an unforgettable experience for our Mothering Sunday family brunch, accommodating our group of 12 with grace and warmth. From the moment we entered, the atmosphere exuded charm, setting the stage for a memorable gathering. The highlight for the adults was undoubtedly the complimentary choice of two cocktails, Mimosa and the Bellini proved to be a delightful selection, perfectly complementing the occasion. Meanwhile, the children were equally delighted with their pancakes and fries, which disappeared quickly amidst smiles and laughter. What truly elevated our experience was the attentive and courteous catering staff who ensured our comfort throughout. They were always on hand, checking in to ensure everything was to our liking, which we greatly appreciated.

Simply a brilliant bar. Great atmosphere. Everyone is so friendly. Beer is amazing, cider, wine, sparkling perry. This pub has won national awards even pub of the year. Food is cracking and the decor and general layout is wonderful. If you get a chance drop in you will be very pleasantly surprised!

This pub is fantastic in terms of beers available atmosphere. It's probably the best pub I've been in for a couple of years.... If you are a beer drinker visit. I certainly will be returning.

This is quite simply a charming and delightful pub, hidden away in South Tonbridge. It’s a gem of a pub if you like a warm cosy atmosphere and a selection of real ales. A proper ‘CAMRA’ establishment that won’t disappoint!

I’ve given Nelson’s Arms several chances, but unfortunately, I’ve been disappointed by the rudeness of the staff every single time. I live nearby, and on weekends my wife, my 3-year-old daughter, and I enjoy walking around Barden Lake. On the way back, it always seems like a nice idea to stop here for lunch and a pint. Sadly, without fail, we’ve found the staff to be unwelcoming, with a clear anti-children attitude. The pub has a policy that makes no sense: children aren’t allowed on the quieter dining side (which would be more suitable for families), but they are permitted only on the sports side, where there are high tables and bar seating—not at all child-friendly. Instead of showing any empathy or flexibility, the staff have been consistently dismissive. I gave this place one last chance today, but that really will be my very last visit.

April 2022 - We only dropped in for a quick pint on our walk from Tonbridge to Leigh. The pub has plenty of character and a huge selection of ales on the pumps. 22 draught pumps I counted with ciders and ales. We were given a very friendly welcome. Update March 2023. Still a real ale drinkers gem of a pub. And the food is very good. My Swedish friend was very pleasantly surprised by the food quality.

Our favorite bar! Very cool cocktails. My favorites are Hugo and Amareto sour. Overall extensive drink menu, also the staff are true professionals. They create a really great atmosphere in the bar!!

Flo was absolutely amazing as our bartender tonight!! She had excellent recommendations and really looked after us. I will be hard pressed to go to a different bar from now on. This will absolutely be my new spot. The boys behind the bar (kai and Jack I believe) were absolute gems too. Fast service even with a full bar. Love these guys!! 💖

Popped into the Glasshouse last night on route home from Sankeys, I thought I’d have one delicious cocktail with my husband. I ordered an English Garden cocktail as it had Chapel Down fizz , but watched the lady put Prosecco in the cocktail. I asked I thought it’s was Chapel Down? She said NO very rudely, which I queried…as the menu states Chapel Down….she laughed and said ur right, well ur get Chapel Down on ur next one and made me pay! Soo wish I sent the drink back, it tasted sooo sweet ! Far tooo much for the money !

Visited with my mate on Saturday 15th March just bought a drink got told to leave and get out then the locked the door of the pub wasn’t aloud to leave then bar staff advised me someone head was kicked in toilet was full of blood good music apart been cut short due to accident would I return again NO!! Tunbridge wells is getting worst then any town in uk someone knocked speaker over nearly knocked me out

We had a quick one drunk last Saturday here. Service was nice & attentive , drinks were great. The had tv on with sports- not my thing- no much music going on. But it was nice to visit. I ve no idea if it changes after 10 pm.

Just fantastic as ever, spotlessly clean, friendly staff and fantastic array of beers/spirits/wines. Always a treat to pop in and sample the menu. Location is at the quieter end of the high street which is welcome and you get a nicer set of clientele then the big name pub down the road …

Superb bar with excellent range of cask and keg, ciders, gins and a decent array of bar snacks to absorb that alcohol. My personal favourite is the toasties. The Tonbridge branch is centrally located, with 4 cask beers on and a huge amount of keg beers on in a very broad range of styles. I had a pint of golden and a pint of IPA on cask, both reasonably priced, plus a Hazy IPA, a DDH IPA and an Imperial Stout on keg (all of which were at prices not out of keeping with most London craft bars). The staff were friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and the bar is both child and dog friendly.

Huge beer selection. Some regular beers that are always available (but not the usual lagers and ales that everywhere has) plus a huge rotating cast of guest ales, lagers, darks, pales etc. Staff know their stuff across the wide selection.

Awesome experience, felt like a genuine northern European beer cafe. Choice of beers etc absolutely spectacular including the lovely options on size of measure. Would defo recommend to anyone with discerning taste. 👏👏

Bar far the best place for a drink with friends in Tonbridge. The beers on tap are amazing and really well kept (as you might imagine), go to their twitter account @FugglesTN9 to see what's on tap. Not just brilliant beer, Gins, Whiskys and much more with wonderful service. Don't expect a massive long food menu, after all it is a "beer cafe" and they know what they do well and I love their pickles. Top tip go for their sharing plates if there are enough of you. Can be busy at peak periods, but in a good way. Dogs welcome and there's always one or two enjoying the atmosphere with their owners, and perhaps a beer sausage or two. Update: still fantastic and table service has been continued even after Covid measures have been stopped, which is nice to be able to sit with friends and order from the menu printed daily; it's not the fastest service in the world, relaxed and perfectly suited to the place.. I know many people might be put off by some of the Sours, Stout/Dark or even the strong beers but I'd thoroughly recommend order a few 1/3 pints of them at the same time so that you can compare them, some of the best beer halls/cafes offer a pallet of beers so that you can do just that, so recreate that sampling for yourself.

As good as it gets in Kent for beer aficionados. This place is all about beer and very hard to get in UK craft beer scene. Just amazing selections, place and vibe. Must have at this location and Tunbridge Wells. Try the Jule Malt Sout (16.3% ABV) and Anspach 4th Variant IPA (7.4% ABV)

Awesome beer bar and friendly service! A really good selection of craft beers from UK and abroad. Also appreciate all the Covid precautions here as well as two picnic tables outside the pub now. My take-away growlers made it back to London on my bike!

Lovely afternoon spent at the Carpenters Arms for our family get together. The staff were attentive and friendly as soon as we arrived. We reserved no. 3 cabana in the garden which was perfect for our party of 7. We were served by the lovely Hannah who looked after us so well. The food was excellent, we all had roast dinners and the pigs in duvets are a must, they are huge. A great first visit we will be back!

We had a gorgeous meal at the Carpenters Arms today for a joint celebration for my sister and step-dads' birthdays! All the food was delicious! My partner had the chilli and lime chicken wings to start, and you couldn't taste any chilli. That was the only thing that we would have changed! We all had roast dinners, and it was all so tasty.. lovely pub, lovely decor, great service and friendly staff.. very busy, which is always a fantastic sign! Would definitely go back!

This was our first Sunday lunch here, after moving locally to the area. This pub was recommended to us and it didn’t disappoint! The food was delicious! Everything was well seasoned and the portions were incredibly generous! We’re taking some home with us! Hannah who served us was warm and attentive. We will definitely be back!

It was fine! Breakfast offering of a microwaved chewy croissant was poor but full English fine. Wobbly toilet seat in room and some other details prevented five stars. Staff were friendly and helpful but a little stretched. (Overnight stay with dinner and breakfast)

A very special celebratory weekend for a family event, and a rare chance to get the whole family together. A wonderful venue. Very thoughtfully friendly, warm and relaxed team across the bar and restaurant. Great service. Great meal. And some of us stayed in the rooms, which were lovely, comfortable and thoughtfully planned. Breakfasts were great. I couldn't have asked for more for a really important family celebration.

As a privileged member of the 440 Exclusive Dining club (Formed 2014 at Coutts, 440 Strand, London) We make it our business to seek out and find the best restaurants for hosting lunches for the EDC members. The Carpenters Eastling, Kent. (as one member commented) has “Raised the bar” Sarah and here team created the most fabulous lunch for our members, with all locally produced food and wines, Excellent venue & Service, friendly staff & very help full and informative Naturally we have to Mention the Chef “Phil”... From start to finish the service I received outstanding. It had been a number of years since I had been to the dentist and I was petrified. But both Shona and Brooke made me feel massively at ease. All the staff were so friendly, helpful and professional. I’m over the moon with the treatment I received. I feel like a new person. I can’t recommend the practice highly enough!!

This is a fantastic dental practice. The receptionists are all polite and helpful. And Peter Bell is an absolute perfectionist in everything he does. He took so much time and trouble to repair my broken front tooth yesterday and it looks so natural. Can't praise him enough

We started coming here as a family since moving to the area, based off a recommendation, and we couldn't be happier with the practise. All the staff are lovely, professional and you really feel like you're in safe hands. My teeth feel amazing after my hygienist appointment by Brooke and Shona replaced a small white filling that popped out, for free. So glad to have found the practise!

Always feel at ease with the staff at Townhouse. Friendly and efficient. They always have time to discuss different treatment options and the best way forward for individual dental health. Highly recommend.

Really pleased I decided to use this practice after moving to the area a couple of years ago. The team on reception are always very helpful and prompt in responding to any queries and rearranging appointments. In line with the other reviews, Brooke is a brilliant hygienist - patient, friendly and feel completely at ease with her.

Wonderful practice - all the team are so friendly. Nothing is too much trouble & they are so accomodating. Also being able to relax & watch TV whilst having your appt is such a bonus - makes you forget you are at the dentist!

A very relaxing, reassuring dentists, with incredibly friendly and professional staff. The payment plan options also make it very affordable which is great. I always look forward to my appointments with Shona!

What an absolute delight. We were meant to have lunch at another pub but they fully booked and found this place by chance. They were accommodating with a last minute booking and were nothing but friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, we had ham, egg and chips, ploughman's, MOK burger and the chicken schnitzel, all were delicious, generously portioned and well presented. Desserts were yum and sitting by the river in the sunshine was just devine watching the fish swim by. We will be returning and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone considering going. Do it!! A very pretty pub in the heart of old Tonbridge. Good seating both indoors and out. Toasty warm inside, was a bit chilly out on my visit but the garden was so peaceful I couldn't pass it up. Good selection of beers at reasonable prices so it would make an excellent stop off on a pub crawl or just for a cosy pint on a cold afternoon. A friendly little dog present too which is always a big plus in my books.

The man of Kent is just for drinking beer and others. Excellent landlord feel has we have know him for years . Only knew him for two days but wont forget him anytime soon. And the beer was brilliant good cellar if in area go visit. 😁

Quaint pub with good TVs to watch the rugby world cup. Nice little outside area too. The Scottish gentleman who I believe is the new manager was very welcoming and friendly to me and my husband, even though we are South African and were there to watch SA vs Scotland! Will definitely be back, thanks for the hospitality.

A fantastic family run irish pub. The landlords are wonderful people, lovely to chat to, the rest of the staff are equally as pleasant and friendly. Superb choice of drinks and are among some of the best that I’ve been served in any pub. You will always feel at home in this pub. If you’re in Tonbridge, looking for a pub, this one should be at the top of your list.

Wonderful little pub with lovely staff who are very friendly. The pub was very clean and tidy. It was a quietish Monday when we were there but the locals were fantastically welcoming. The Guinness was excellent as was the Doom Bar

When it for one drink and the landlord come out was very rude said we don't fit in there as we're not from t there was very nasty and aggressive did not even let use finish are pints very rude and did not even give re fund would never go there

Great local pub, with the owner who is friendly and has good banter (footy). Great selection of drinks and snacks, only downside is they used to do rolls and proper food but other than that a great place for a day out watching the footy / or your chosen sport with your friends.

If you want a nice pub with a good atmosphere the drum is the one for you tucked into a residential street. It has a good size beer garden and would recommend it if you like a classic pub it's also pretty spacious.

Amazing night in Tiki bar, been here a couple of times now with DJ Chet putting on a great night, great music, great atmosphere!! Definitely the place to go for a good dance and cocktail!! Highly recommend!

Arriving alone to a first time venue can be daunting, even though meeting with friends. The cosy Tiki bar has an open front to the pavement making the atmosphere and music spill out to welcoming passers by. I saw several groups walk past only to step back and come in. Chet the DJ kept the dance floor going to a wide span of ages. Cocktails looked interesting but staff didn’t make me feel foolish for not indulging.

Joined the brilliant party vibes last night for the first time, Gr8 friendly atmosphere and bar staff. Highlite of evening was dancing all night to the brilliant dance tunes thanks to the fabulous DJ Chet, such great tunes, the dance floor was never empty. Look forward to returning for more.

We tried Lemons on a whim for a couple of cocktails, and were thrilled with the quality of the drinks and service. The cocktails are delicious, very well made, and the service was so friendly and helpful - our waiter gave us advice on trying some whisky, and even recommended a whisky bar to try in Brighton too! Amazing place. Will definitely be coming back soon.

Came for a quick drink with friends, but as the weather was pleasant we stayed for 3 or 4 instead! We got a seat for four outside, which as the sun was out was very lucky as the Pantiles area is very popular. The service was excellent and very quick, especially as it was table service. I ordered some beers, while my friends had a mixture of beers and cocktails, again all arrived quickly, and the cocktail drinkers didn't have to wait longer than the beer drinkers. Really nice vibe with the lemon theme inside, and some staff even wearing lemon shirts!

Dropped in for a coffee during the day. Waitress could not have been more attentive. Excellent coffee, brought water without being asked and kept coming out to top us up. We looked at the extensive cocktails menu and she assured us that they are happy to mix anything as long as they have the ingredients. (So weary of hearing "but it's not on the menu" from other places even if the ingredients are right there.) We'll be back!

The cocktails were truly delightful, and the service was excellent. We were fortunate to have a wonderful lady assist us, and her recommendations were greatly appreciated.

I organised a party of 14 for my birthday.. Will and Izzy were amazing at making sure we were catered for… this is an extremely friendly, upmarket cocktail bar with a great atmosphere, incredible staff and wonderful cocktails… would Definatly recommend 5 stars 👌

Great cocktails however, charged for tap water and offered this and did not make us aware there was a charge for this, if knowing this we would not have accepted the water, but it was poured freely without asking us if we even wanted it and had to pay for this. Really poor behaviour from an establishment I would have expected better from.
