The pesto cooking class was great! Very informative, authentic, and fun. Also, felt like it was worth the price with all the ingredients, food, wine, and goodies we left with. The view was also amazing of course. We also reserved the class the night before and that was easy to do. Hope they get to continue the business!

I recently attended the Pesto Class & it far exceeded my expectations. It was educational & so much fun with singing & dancing & the views were absolutely stunning. The food, wine, service & atmosphere were amazing. This was one of the highlights of my trip to Italy. A must do if you’re in Cinque Terre

An absolutely wonderful experience making Pesto at Nessun Dorma! Simon, the owner and one who lead the class was full of energy and passionate about what he does. Everyone in the class was singing and dancing as they were making t their pesto. The wine and cocktails are incredible as well and from the class we had the most beautiful view of Manarola. This class is a MUST if you are in the CT area.

Our pesto experience at Nessun Dorma was absolutely unforgettable! The setting is stunning — perched above the colorful village of Manarola with breathtaking views of the sea and cliffs. Learning to make authentic Ligurian pesto in such a beautiful spot was so much fun, and the team made the whole experience relaxed, informative, and full of laughter. We loved getting hands-on with fresh local ingredients and, of course, enjoying the delicious results with a glass of wine while taking in that incredible view. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip to Cinque Terre — highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

I signed up for the morning pesto class and wow, this was such an incredible time. The class comes with the delicious pesto you make, an apron to take home, a bottle of wine and food to pair with your pesto once it’s made. I never take cooking classes while traveling but something told me I should try this and I’m so glad I did. It would be a shame if the city does not allow them to renew their contract next year.

Neat place we happened upon while walking around Riomaggiore. It's maybe 5-10 min walk from the main street up on the cliff. Cute place with great views that makes u feel like ur on vacation. We got there late afternoon thinking we'd have some drinks/appetizers. They seemed a little stressed out and/or understaffed when we arrived. Service was quite slow. Turns out they were getting ready to close up, but they were completely full and it wasn't late so was kind of surprised. Note - check their hours and b sure u go b4 they shut off food service as many of the food items on other tables looked tasty. We were able to get a bruschetta order placed before they completely closed down, which was generously sized with lots of fresh tomatoes and nice presentation. Also got a few drinks, which btw come with a small bowl of chips (also appreciated this). The smoothie was as expected. The virgin caipiroska was very good - small & wish there were more for $10euro- but good. Would we go back? Definitely! Loved the atmosphere & would enjoy spending more time taking in the scenery while enjoying additional menu items.

We happened upon this place after getting off the train in Riomaggiore and ordered limoncello spritzes and a fruit cup. Both were delicious and the view was incredible. It was not very crowded since it’s in the other direction from the main part of Riomaggiore. We really enjoyed, so much so that we decided to go back for dinner. Dinner was a different experience. The service was great and the view was incredible, but the food was not fresh. My husband ordered lasagna that had clearly been microwaved - it was firm and chewy and not very warm. I had the Brandacujan which is served cold - it had good flavor, but the bread that came with it was very hard. We also did a wine tasting and that was lovely and a great way to taste various wines from Cinque Terre! Our waitress even brought out a book that explained the different wines. This is a great place to visit if you want drinks and views!!

This has got to be the most scenic wine bar ever! The view is amazing - but definitely don't miss our on their wine tasting menu, accompanied by a plattor of their cold meats. The Bresaola was heavenly! Cannot wait to come back here, absolute favourite! (Also, if you're in a hurry, you can buy wines by the bottle to takeaway from the counter area!)

We had a fantastic wine tasting experience at Bar e Vini a Pié de Ma. The selection of local wines was excellent and perfectly accompanied by a delicious platter of cured meats, cheeses, olives, and fresh focaccia. The price-performance ratio was outstanding, especially considering the breathtaking sea view from the terrace — truly one of the best panoramas in the Cinque Terre. What makes this place even more special is how it reflects the spirit of the Cinque Terre: a region shaped by centuries of winemaking, steep terraces, and a deep connection between people and land. You can taste that heritage in every glass and every bite. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic flavors while soaking in the beauty of the Ligurian coast.

The place has a beautiful sea view and a pleasant atmosphere to relax, but that’s where the positives end. Be prepared for long queues just to get inside. Once you’re in, the prices are noticeably inflated, and unfortunately, the quality of food and drinks doesn’t live up to them. The coffee was bland and forgettable, surprisingly disappointing for Italy. The tiramisu was flat, lacking both richness and coffee flavor. The bruschetta looked impressive when served, but the taste revealed cheaper ingredients. Overall, I’d give it 3/5. Worth visiting only if you care more about the view than the food — otherwise, the wait and prices make it hard to recommend.

I tried the Brandacujun, but it was really tasteless and almost inedible. This place is definitely overrated; the only good thing about it is the view. The food is priced the same as other places I’ve eaten at, but it’s definitely not worth the money.

This restaurant shows a lot of promise with its high-quality dishes! We tried both the poached and grilled sea bream, and they were absolutely delicious—especially when paired with the excellent local white wine. However, the overall portion size was a bit too small, leaving us still hungry. We added dessert to treat ourselves, which was really tasty but also a bit modest in size. The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere pleasant, but make sure to order extra if you have a bigger appetite!

We liked the atmosphere a lot. But you need to make a reservation. The tuna carpaccio, the spinach and ricotta Ravioli (with walnut sauce), the poached carp, and local wine is highly recommended. But you must leave room for the tirumasui supra!

This place stunned me. It was absolutely sensational and seasonal Italian food. Every dish is so thoughtful and well done. Did not expect to have such a great experience in a very unassuming location. Great job!

A very quaint restaurant right in the heart of Corniglia. They have two dinner seatings so a reservation is essential. We booked easily via WhatsApp and the team responded very quickly. The food was incredible. We had the seafood pasta, which was absolutely amazing, and also enjoyed the octopus cooked in the traditional Ligurian style. Service was warm and friendly. Highly recommend!

Tiny little place that was super busy. Lovely quirky ambience. You have to sit very close to your neighbors. Friendly staff and every dish was delicious. Only the side green beans were not to my taste Interesting pasta paired with pesto. The tuna steak and the dessert in particular was excellent. You definitely need to book

We ordered an anchovy dish that was served with arugula, basil, tomatoes, olives, capers, and lemon—all exceptionally fresh and high-quality ingredients. I really enjoyed this dish because combining the anchovy with all these familiar flavors—though I had never experienced them together—gave it an exotic dimension. A brilliantly creative recipe in its simplicity. We were also offered a very good local white wine, which paired perfectly with the meal.

The food lacks depth of flavor but the portions are good, the atmosphere is beautiful and the service is friendly.

This was a very average experience for us. My lasagne was average, my wife’s seafood pasta had mostly empty mussel shells, however the taste was decent. The price is not bad and the patio has a good ambience in a central part of the main area. Service was average. Not a bad experience, but certainly expected better.

Came at 9pm for drinks and dessert with our kids. Waited forever for a waiter to come over and take our order. Waiter was horrible. Didn’t smile ever. Ignored us and looked elsewhere while we tried to order. Made a snarky remark about us ordering only two dinner dishes ( we had already had our dinner). We ordered drinks, water, dessert. Restaurant looks great and atmosphere is nice but service was awful and food was mediocre. Would not recommend this place at all!!!!

We’re a couple doing our Italy trip for the first time. Initially avoided due to low rating. However we were recommended by our boat tour guide and gave it a chance. Arrived at 7pm on a Tuesday night, so it was less crowded. 👌 Fried Anchovies was the best fried seafood we’ve had on this Italy trip 💪 The rabbit was also interesting and great to try ✅ Pasta is just generally great all over Italy. The lemoncello suggested by the owner was also delicious.

Worst food I’ve ever had. The pasta was cold, not cooked enough, and tasteless. The portion size was very small for the quality and how much I paid. This restaurant tries to appear fancy with the cursive writing on the menu and the hefty prices, but it is the complete opposite. I’ve had better service and food at McDonald’s. Don’t get me started on the staff. They are very unprofessional and unwelcoming. When we left, they didn’t even acknowledge our goodbye or the fact that we didn’t even touch much of the food. Please avoid this place, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone visiting Riomaggiore; there are much better options nearby. I give it zero stars.

Came for breakfast and sat on the outside patio. Thankfully we sat toward the back because the patio is very congested and difficult to get in/out. Service was a bit spotty but ok. It's challenging to find breakfast spots that serve protein like eggs/bacon as most r pastries and sweets. Really appreciated that Bar Centrale, which is on the main strip of Riomaggiore, included omelets on their menu. Ordered the ham omelet, fruit cup, side of avocado, lemon crepe, latte & oj. The OJ was delicious & fresh squeezed. Was hoping for some healthy fats with the side of avocado, but it didn't really work out as it seemed to be turning. The fresh fruit was tasty and appreciated the generous size. Other items were just fine. Was there anything wrong with Bar Centrale? Not really. It just wasn't comfortable and not sure I'd go back. However, there aren't a ton of options in town so if you're also craving something more substantial for breakfast, give it a try.

Absolutely delicious, from the wine to the dessert. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. We stopped here on a whim because we didn’t look up where to eat in Riomaggiore and we were incredibly happy. The oysters were the freshest oysters I’ve ever had. The house white wine was perfect. Very impressed.

We had one of the worst dining experiences we can remember at this restaurant — a real tourist trap. From the start, things went downhill. For the starters, we ordered the fried codfish and the swordfish salad. The codfish was clearly frozen, under-fried, very dry, and not crispy at all. The “swordfish salad” was extremely sour and didn’t taste like swordfish — we’re quite sure it wasn’t. The main courses were just as disappointing. The rabbit stew tasted like it had been sitting in a freezer for far too long and then reheated in a microwave — bland, dry, and lifeless. The shrimp dish was inedible; we couldn’t even remove the shrimp from their shells, which made us doubt how fresh they were in the first place. To make matters worse, the staff were unhelpful and completely indifferent. We didn’t finish any of our dishes, and nobody bothered to ask if something was wrong or if we needed anything. The lack of care or attention summed up the whole experience. The only thing that was remotely okay was the wine, which was decent but nothing special. For all this, we paid 110 euros, which felt outrageous given the quality of both the food and service. Overall, this was a thoroughly disappointing meal and a complete waste of money. We strongly advise avoiding this place — there are many better restaurants nearby that actually serve fresh food and care about their guests.

Ordered some drinks and bruschetta. Asked for some extra olive oil. Manager rushed out, complaining I already put the oil on. Not bring the extra oil. Soooo RUDE! If enough then would not ask. Also need some salt and pepper but afraid to ask again😀😁 Avoid this place. Clearly they lost their respect to the customers

Very cool atmosphere and delicious food!! It was our first night here and we were just wandering around when we found this place. We got the house red wine, the three of a kind bruscetta, cheese and cold cuts plate, and the anchovies plate, and everything was so tasty! We were especially surprised about the anchovies, as neither of us likes them, but we liked these so much we got more. Most notably, the owner, Fiorenzo (and bar tender, and chef), was incredibly fun to talk to! He recommended really good things and kept us company. The breakfast menu also looks great, so we'll definitely be back.

Nice small inclined café bar on the slope with good bar food. Slightly tricky to seat but fun. The tomato bruschetta was fresh and the melon had a strong taste. Perfect for a light brunch.

We have chosen the selection of ham and cheese. 2 out of 3 kinds of ham were very chewy, the tomato on the please was very unripped. Burrata and the other cheese + Chianti wine were good.

In a small terrace just off the main walk is a quiet place that serves the most delicious appetizers and local wine 🍷 if you stop for a moment and simply take a breath you’ll realize my friends you are exactly where you are supposed to be ♥️😊🙏 pace ciao Bella 😘

Great place to get some apperitivi. We had the Limoncello spritz which was delicious and they didn't shy away from making it very concentrated alcohol wise :) Also tried the anchovies bruschette which were delicious. The outdoor terrace ia very spacious and cozy. Frindly staff. Highly recommend trying it

really enjoyed the food here! they're really proud of their food and most of the ingredients are locally sourced so they tasted fresh. we had panino vernazza which was salted cod with hummus. the taste is quite neutral although it's still pretty tasty given the freshness of the ingredients. the sandwich was nicely toasted and they were so kind to slice the sandwich to half since we're sharing. we also tried poppy seed cake which was nicely heated. it's really nice and delicate. a lovely shop at the higher part of the island.

Arguably the most authentic Manarolan restaurant, family-run Cappun Magru more than rewards the walk up the hill. Offering local (often family-held) recipes, you’ll need to get in early to experience their daily specials that sell out quickly from 12.30 pm. Showcasing numerous Cinque Terre wines from ridiculously small producers, Cappun Magru’s Enrico was generous with his wine knowledge. Highly recommended, and long may their traditions continue.

Incredible food and incredible service all around. We ordered the cappun magru, shrimp sandwich, and octopus pate sandwich. The quality of our meal was out of this world, and we loved how attentive and descriptive our server was. Thank you SO much for a delightful experience!

The food was amazing, and the sauce made the food have many layers of flavor. We also tried pasta, and the waiter told us that the sauce had been cooked for 4 hours. I think it's worth it because the sauce was so tasty

This restaurant is on the side of the mountain with great views. My husband ordered the bruschetta with pesto and mozzarella and tomatoes and it was fantastic! So fresh and amazing pesto. The focaccia was good but the sandwich had literally one piece of meat on it. Disappointed in that because I really wanted to try the mortadella. Overall great restaurant!

Great restaurant with even greater views! We had a full lunch here, but you can just have a cocktail and enjoy the scenery. We had lasagna and tortellini, which were absolutely delicious. The only thing that could be improved is that our dishes arrived about 20min apart. The staff is friendly, attentive, and the ambience is awesome, perfect for relaxing and enjoying some peaceful silence. One thing to keep in mind is that you have to wait in line to get a table, at least around lunchtime, and that they may not open exactly in time, so bring sunglasses! Apart from this detail, everything was perfect

Stopped by this bar and had a few drinks. We ordered also focaccia sandwich that was ok - solid, nothing special. Beer was decent, nothing extraordinary, but it did the job. I also had an Aperol Spritz, which was refreshing and nicely balanced. Everything is a bit pricey. The view from the bar is lovely — perfect for relaxing and soaking in the surroundings. The staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome from the start. Overall, it’s a great spot for a casual bite and a drink.

The bar boasts a magnificent sea view. The waitresses were quite attentive, but unfortunately, the bartender's Mojito cocktail was not up to par, as it contained an excessive amount of sugar. We brought this to his attention, yet he appeared to disregard our feedback.

I don’t know why people give this place poor reviews when you shouldn’t expect much from a tourist trap spot with the most gorgeous view in Riomaggiore. You don’t need incredible service, just fast service and good drinks. You’re paying for the view not the service. I’ve been to this spot multiple times and definitely recommend it (unless you’re a snob and want a waitress delivering your drinks on a silver platter). The limoncello spritzes were delicious, and the views are out of this world. Definitely recommend this spot for a romantic cocktail watching the sunset!

We ordered the aperitivo board for 2, and most of the items were stale. The waitress was rude after I expressed my concern that the drink had more foam than drink and then avoided our table for the rest of our stay. Come for the views which are gorgeous but don’t consume much from here.

After a climb of 30 min. we were very tired and thirsty! - the wine tasting was ok (1/2 glass of white, rose and red), the bread with green pesto was good and the small olives were very tasty. - the prosecco rose was good and the limoncello was quite sweet and strong but less sweet than the one’s we tasted before. All this with a nice sea view and respect for the waiter doing his steps! 🤩

View is amazing Waitress was very helpful despite being super busy Food super average for lunch - we had burgers and focaccia, menu is very limited for food. I think it was about 18 pages but only 1 page for food - essentially a bar with great views - craft beers if you’re a wee fancy in the beer side!

Our visit to Terra di Bargon was truly a highlight. Roberto shared his passion for winemaking with us and took the time to explain every step in the production of Sciacchetrà. He also told us fascinating stories about the history of Riomaggiore and the Cinque Terre. The wine itself was exquisite, and we enjoyed it in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, filled with interesting conversations and lots of laughter. Highly recommended!

My partner and I had an amazing afternoon at this wine tour experience. We especially loved the authentic and personal touch on this tour! We went to the hills of Riomaggiore and were welcomed into the vineyards of Roberto and Alessandra’s and spent a couple hours learning about the wine making process and experienced each step! Roberto’s passion and friendliness were the highlight for me. His knowledge made it so enjoyable to learn about the Sciacchetra wine making - and it tasted fantastic! This was definitely the highlight of the trip! Would throughly recommend.

This was the wine tasting of our lives. It's been a year since we went and we are still sitting on the couch talking about how awesome the experience was. We loved drinking the wine, eating the king of cheese (parm), and we even each bought a bottle that we then hiked over a mountain with and protected with our lives and took back to canada to begin our wine collections. 100/10 would recommend.

What an experience, you will see first hand the passion and love Roberto has for both the wine he produces and riomagiorre. An intimate and informative tour from the vineyard (get to try all sorts of grapes) to the cellar, you will get to understand the process and effort that goes into making such a delicious wine. The wine itself is like no other sweet wine I have tried, complex and delicious while also being soft and delicate it was quite something. I cannot recommend doing this tour enough, you are in great hands with Roberto and Alessandra.

The tasting experience here is truly one-of-a-kind. The family who run the vineyard take great pride in their craft, and they're more than happy to share their knowledge and passion with you. What sets this vineyard apart, however, is the sense of intimacy and connection you'll feel with the family who runs it. They'll share their stories and traditions with you, and you'll come away feeling like you've not only tasted some of the best wine in Italy, but you've also made some new friends and have learned about the historical context of the town. Overall, I can't recommend this family-run vineyard in Cinque Terre enough. We visited Restaurant La Torre twice during our 2-night stay in Vernazza, and it was fantastic both times. The food was excellent—we tried different main courses and desserts, and everything was delicious. The location is stunning, perched on a hill with panoramic views of the town and sea. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Highly recommended, and we’d love to return someday!

We had a fantastic evening together! We started by sharing a mixed seafood antipasto, which was delicious. I then had the lobster pasta – the flavor was absolutely amazing! – while my husband chose the grilled octopus. The only small remark is that the portions were so tasty we wished there had been just a little more (his octopus came with only three legs; with it being a secondi, four or five would have been perfect). Still, everything was cooked beautifully, and the view over Vernazza was simply breathtaking. Definitely worth a visit, even with the short hike up!

This place was recommended by our Airbnb host, and it did not disappoint! We enjoyed a beautiful sunset on our walk to the restaurant and caught the last of it right from our table. I had the Trofie al Pesto con Patate e Fagiolini, which was bursting with flavor, while my boyfriend had one of their fish pastas in marinara sauce, good, though it felt like it was missing a little something. The oysters here were our absolute favorite out of all the places we’ve tried! Must try the cinque terre white wine that's in my pictures! Best white wine I've had! Do note that the climb to the restaurant is quite steep and not accessible for those in wheelchairs, as there are many stairs leading up. The walk up might make you sweat a little, but the views, food, and atmosphere make it totally worth it. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

This is an amazing place. It’s a hidden gym. You find it when you start hiking from Vernazza towards Corneglia. The atmosphere is amazing with beautiful view to the sunset. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. Food tastes excellent. I think they deserve a Michelin star.

I’ll definitely come back here again! I can’t forget the food, the vibe, the breeze—everything.👍 I tried the “Polpo,” and I still can’t forget the taste. The octopus was tender, and I think the sauce was made with lemon. It was amazing—I almost licked the plate clean 😍 The staff was also great. They worked quickly, so I didn’t have to wait long, which is rare in Italy where waiting at restaurants is usually unavoidable.😂

Went after hiking from Corniglia This restaurant had Beautiful views and great food But the service was Not Friendly at all. They were not busy maybe only 5-6 tables full and you couldn’t get anyone to help you or wait on you once you were seated. Octopus was perfectly done, nice job to the chef! Fried seafood mix was also delicious!

This place was pretty cool. It was a neat hike up the mountain, not too terribly hard but will make you a little out of breath. Only like 10 minutes uphill and lots of steps. Gave a good view point though. The restaurant has great view of the ocean and if you’re lucky over the town as well. This was a small complaint of ours though as there were open tables with really great views they didn’t seat the whole time we were there even with our reservation. These saw the town and ocean while we couldn’t see the town where we were. Still beautiful though. We ordered the baked fish and the lobster pasta. Both were good but not amazing. The baked fish was flounder and the waitress deboned it table side which was cool. It was very tender and great but lacked flavor. After deboning it was just unseasoned fillets of flounder. The lobster pasta was good but most of the lobster shells were heads or empty so it ended up not being too much meat. For dessert the cornucopia and it was one of the best desserts we had in Italy. So good. Again these were good but not overly great. No reservation is needed when we went in end of May. Quite a few open tables. Overall a good experience with the location.

What a fantastic oasis! We were enjoying a hike from Volostra to Corniglia and happened across the Cantina. It was a warm day, and the drinks we got were great. What an amazing view from the seating area!

A real gem on the trail between Volestra and Corniglia! Make the steep hike worth it. Super cute shaded terrasse, breathtaking views, delicious wine. I’d do the hike all over again to come back!

I did a wine tasting with Thomas at the start of my hike to Corniglia. What an incredible experience! Thomas was so knowledgable, and I learnt lots about the unique wine making methods used in this beautiful part of Italy. Amazing views, and the wines were of course delicious.

Best experience we had during our trip in Cinque Terre, the food was amazing we had Noi Romantic dinner with a table only for us, extremely beautiful, the stuff was super nice and friendly I will recommend this for anyone looking to have food & wine with an stunning views.

Had an amazing tour and very tasty dinner. Wine was just wonderful! Everyone working here was so friendly and really made a birthday dinner special for us. We got Muvi + NOI and had a private tour and a private area in the vineyard for our dinner. Couldn't recommend it more!

so hiking up 2-300 meters, depending on direction, walking on old paths, trough forests, vineyards and steps on paths made centuries ago.. and there is a vine bar on the path serving their own local wine. The experience of not knowing this was exhilarating. But next time, it will be a goal giving energy for the remaining path yet not teaveled. Great white vine, meters from where the wine grapes grow.

Amazing experience. The place is gorgeous, staff so great and knowledgeable, and the wine and the specially made finger food are just the best! I recommend taking the degustation + winery tour so you will understand and taste the whole history and tradition of 5Terre grapes and wines. I will go back for sure!

We went in the evening for wine tasting & finger food + tour. The wines and the food were amazing. The service was also great, they offered me vegetarian option for the food and explained the wine and food for us (in English), besides showing us the Cantina and explaining the production of wine. I will come back if I get the chance!

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Cantina for a wine tasting and winery tour and it’s safe to say it was exceptional. Everyone was warm and welcoming and the winery is in a beautiful setting just above Manarola. There’s a local bus you can take up to the winery from Manarola or they offer a transfer service. The wines were excellent and the light lunch was delicious. Everything was paced very well and we had a very relaxing afternoon. The whole team were really knowledgeable about the wines and the tour of the winery was very interesting. An incredible afternoon and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it!

I was looking for an activity for a slightly cloudy morning in Cinque Terre and came across this winery having sampled one of its wines in a local bar. It was straightforward to get the bus up from Manarola (we bought tickets at the tourist information by the train station) and we were met with an extremely warm welcome. We we quite surprised to be given an almost private tour and talked through the wine making process which was described in an easy to understand way by our knowledgeable guide. We then tried a selection of white wines along with nibbles featuring local produce. It was the perfect way to spend a few hours and we left having created an order to ship home. Would highly recommend!!

We did the basic wine tasting and cellar tour, didn't feel basic at all! Got to try 4 wines between the 2 of us and the Sciacchetra (fancy) would definitely recommend, worth the money.

We took the shuttle up to this winery and loved our experience! We tried 6 of their wines and were also given some bruschetta to try. The wines were all very good and refreshing and it was in a beautiful location. We would definitely recommend this place for a good wine tasting of local Cinque Terre wines!

Great local bar. Nice prices and great view elevated from the busy local stretch. Bartenders take care of you, but not overly friendly (that’s not necessary though). Lovely snacks brought out with drinks too. Definitely recommend!

I like this little cafe-bar for the cheery service, range of beer, and snacks/ food. Good place to sit and watch newbies wander up from the train station. On tap, they have Carlsburg, Grimbergen, Kroney, and some kind of american IPA. plus many, many bottled artisan beers. Of course, they also have the usual range of spritz and cocktails and fruit juice.

We stopped for a quick coffee, but unfortunately the experience wasn’t very good. Several tables were dirty with used cups and cigarette packaging, and they didn’t seem very happy when we asked for ours to be cleaned. The staff seemed a bit rude and unwelcoming, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The sandwich we ordered was cold, while the cappuccino was okay. Around 11 AM, very loud club music was played, and although the staff were enjoying themselves, it didn’t really suit the setting for us. Overall, this spot might appeal to people looking for a lively vibe, but for a simple, pleasant coffee stop it was disappointing.

Kind of got ‘stuck’ with this place because not a lot was open but pleasantly surprised! Bruschetta is the way to go. The best one was the anchovies one! Knocking it a star because it is a little pricey.

We had a disappointing experience at this bar. Unfortunately, the majority of the red wine options we wanted to order were unavailable, which was quite disappointing. (5 out of 8 selections are unavailable) The service was also subpar, as the server displayed an unpleasant attitude and couldn't provide the price for the beer we intended to order. Moreover, their local IPA, served in a bottle instead of draft, lacked flavor and was flat. Overall, we cannot recommend this place.

We had our breakfast here, the hot chocolate was thick and very good. The croissants were very delicious. The price is reasonable also.

Went for a wine tasting with Ivonne, it was very educational and fun! Ended with a beautiful scenic walk around the local vineyards.

Absolutely awful experience. Went there with my boyfriend and were shocked by how we were treated. The waitress with short black hair and tattoos was incredibly rude from the moment we sat down. She was visibly annoyed that we didn’t speak Italian and walked off without saying a word. Moments later, we saw her casually speaking a few words English to the guests next to us after claiming she couldn’t speak it at all. When our order finally arrived, she slammed the items down and literally threw the sugar on the table. No eye contact, no basic courtesy. It felt humiliating. The man at the bar was the only one who showed any kindness, but sadly that doesn’t make up for the unacceptable treatment we received. Avoid this place at all costs. No one deserves to be treated like this, especially by someone working in hospitality.

My partner and I stopped by after a lovely hike, just hoping to take a short break and enjoy some refreshments. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. While I do speak Italian, the staff didn’t realize this—and I overheard them speaking negatively about us, clearly annoyed to serve us. Their unfriendly looks and attitude made us feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable. We had intended to get some ice cream and water, but due to how we were treated, we only bought water and quickly left. The situation was so upsetting it brought me close to tears—it felt truly intimidating and unjustified. We did nothing to deserve such treatment, and it was a sad way to end an otherwise beautiful day

We hiked up and were looking forward to getting some food and enjoying the view. We grabbed a table and were soon met with ugly stares from our waitress. She stared at us for a bit before finally coming over. We were excited to order until she came over very rude. She was rude talking to us and she rolled her eyes and left after we gave her our order. We were shocked. We the proceeded to watch her serve others who were Italian, which she was very friendly towards. We then tried to be extra polite because maybe we did something wrong. When she came back, she tossed our order in the table, left the check, and said pay up front when you’re done. We then realized that she did not like either tourists or Americans so we quickly finished and left. It was a bummer because we were excited to eat there but we decided to leave since she did not want us there. Tourists do not seem welcome so be aware. Other than that the view is beautiful!

Stopped here for gelato and it was amazing! Sat outside and enjoyed the views, plenty of shade.

Went there with my girlfriend late afternoon. Food was the worst we have had in Italy. The place was practically empty, and while we were waiting for our order of food and drinks we started to play cards at the table and the waitress came to us and rudely told us we couldn’t play cards. No explanation and seemingly had no reason behind it since we were at a rather empty restaurant and already ordered a fair amount of food and drinks. It got to a point where the staff eventually just stopped coming to our table and ignored us. View is nice but the food and service was certainly not worth it!

A great little bar with amazing prices and amazing food!

I never use Caps Lock, but I’ll make an exception for this review: WARNING – FROZEN CONVENIENCE FOOD FROM A DISCOUNTER IS SERVED HERE! I was genuinely shocked to discover they have the audacity to serve frozen pizza for €10 – especially after reading all the glowing reviews from other tourists praising the “perfect crust.” Seriously, have you ever had a real pizza?

Great late night spot to grab drinks. We went on a Thursday evening since Bar O’Netto was closed. Cheap beer, decent seating, and great people watching.

The bartender didn't even know the cocktails on their own menu. I watched one server pick her nails with a fork then put it back with the other clean forks. Then witnessed the another employee leave the restroom without washing her hands. Needless to say, we finished our drinks and got the hell out of there.

Lovely staff, great drinks and 10/10 music! Would definitely recommend for anyone in Riamaggiore!

We went to drink a coffee in the morning, wanted to use my phone for answering some work emails, WiFi worked only at some point of the bar and it was so hard to use. The girls workers were latinoamerican, they were so loud and little bit rude with me as a client, they turned on the music on maximum, started to dance and shout, it's completely the opposite a client want from the morning coffee. And coffee wasn't actually tasteful.

Had breakfast here as there were not many options during winter. Food was OK. we had toast and scrambled eggs. Convenient as we had to catch the train afterwards.

Stopped by ro grab a drink whilst waiting for love Via del amore trail... The staff were extremely rude! Both to me and mu husband but also a family who attempted to sit on the decking area... It was empty but yet the staff literally pushed the couple with a child a dog all the way to the back and then was argumentative with them. One member of staff was nicer but the otjer ladies had a real attitude! Look we get it Cinque Terre has become overrun with tourists and i appreciate it must be frustrating, but we are nice friendly people and even when my husband politely said thabk you

This place is terrible. We paid full 16EUR and Ate nothing. We ordered for Ordinary Omelettes which was served with Ham Although I'm Muslim! Pluuuus the picture and the menu doesn't indicate that the omelette come with ham nor cheese. And when I reported the same "plain omelette " as per their photo and what i ordered, i was asked to remove the ham if i don't wish to eat it !! And then they changed their position stating that I requested for ham and cheese!!!!!!!!!!! "Why would I on earth do that" They couldn't just replace it with a normal egg, refund us or even feel sorry. To them it was either eat it or leave it. They were just okay with the fact that we paid for nothing. I left the full plates on the cash counter with much disappointment. I would not recommend this place for sure Respecting all religions is the least attitude required for any service. Terrible restaurant. Terrible staff. One star is even a lot for them.

We were on a tour from Florence and we stopped in Riomagior first. Our tour guide Sara suggested this cafeteria and the famous focaccia pesto did not disappoint! Delicious!!! Also the service was very fast and they had a very good sized capucino. Only downside is that it's full of pidgeons and maybe they could do something about it. 5 terre is marvellous!!!

Not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from, but this was the best food I've tasted so far on my trip to Italy. My wife and I came here 4 times and every time we ordered something different. From breakfast to lunch menu, and all the pastries, everything was delicious and fairly priced. The staff was accommodating regardless of what language we spoke, they were polite and their service was very efficient. Sarah, Ana, Jennifer, thank you very much!!

Amazing place with a really quiet atmosphere among the vineyards. The contrast with the crowded cinqueterre was enormous and allowed us to relax while eating really good food, some really unexpected as the vegan tuna. Also the prices are much cheaper and they speak really good English, which makes an excellent choice for a stop.

Such a wonderful suprise way up in the mountains and far away from the crowds in the seaside villages. Almost completely vegan, and our dog even got a free treat! Highly recommend visiting and treating yourself to a cruelty-free hiking stop!

I decided to visit this cafe mid-way of the Manarola-Corniglia hike. 3 min walk from the junction. Didn't regret it. Beautiful, cool and shady outdoor garden and a delicious focaccia. Totally rested and ready to continue the remainder of hike.

A fabulous place run by Andrea. Great choice of drinks and food/snacks at really reasonable prices. Andrea was such a great host and we loved spending time at Chiosco del Sole.

Amazing little find on the higher path from Corniglia to Manarola. 90% of the menu is vegan (and incredibly tasty) but they also do a couple of meaty dishes for those who prefer to eat animals. The food is delicious, the service is friendly, and the wine is lovely (and incredibly cheap). Would highly recommend as a stop off point when hiking - you won't regret it! The gardens etc are also beautiful and overlook the gorgeous vineyards! 🙌

This place is literally a hole in wall. A perfect little hole. Great cocktails and the house wine is excellent. Service is excellent. Bathroom was clean. The Ragú lasagna was just ok. The cáprese salad was excellent!! Loved it.

Incredible spot right in the heart of the Riomaggiore shoreline. It’s off to the side of the main walking path, but has awesome views of the buildings and coast. Not a lot of seating but we found a spot late at night. The bartender was so fun - great energy and singing Adele for everyone. We ordered limoncello spritzes and bruschetta and it was all delicious. Definitely recommend if you can find a spot! The bathroom was out of order at the time of this review, but not needed for us.

Found this place on Google Maps and it was a delight. Super small little bar near the most recognizable spot in Riomaggiore. The cocktails were great and the taglieri/charcuterie was top notch! Everything was also super affordable. The two ladies working the bar when we visited were lovely. I would highly recommend visiting. There are only a few tables inside and outside so there may be a wait.

This bar/restaurant is well situated in the Riomaggiore marina. It may be nice for a drink however I wouldn’t recommend having food there. It’s too expensive : 15 € for a very small portion of pesto pasta which wasn’t even tasty…

Very cute bar. Had a really relaxing few hours here today and sampled coffees, wine, cake and a delicious mojito which was well made and which came with olives, crisps and very friendly service. We loved sitting outside and watching the world go by. Don’t go if you want everything to happen in 25 seconds. 😊

Good drinks in a really cool spot. They have a bathroom too. The seats are outside, but I'm the shade in the late afternoon. It's right in the center of everything and the people who work there are very kind.

A truly wonderful bar. After a long day in all of the 5 villages this one was our last stop and finished off with some wonderful cocktails in this bar. The host was friendly and recommended great beers which were accompanied by wonderful snacks. Lovely ambiance great views and highly recommended

Best coffee in town! Croissant was amazing. Got here at 9am, ordered a macchiato, doubleshot cappuccino and a hazelnut/chocolate cream croissant 🥐 Breakfast with a view👌

Don't waste your time with tourist traps, this place is in the perfect location and has great wine and food. Owner is a sommelier and knows his stuff. They were super helpful and accommodating with our 2 year old. Parma ham focaccia was delightful.

Great experience here. The owner couple are very nice and recommended us very tasty local wines. Other reviews here complain about the price, but if you consider the location, no coperto and the pairing apps that are included with your wine - i think its a very fair price.

Beautiful views of the water, boats, and town from their casual outdoor seating area. We did the wine tasting and eventually ordered a couple bottles of wine. Highly recommend their local selections from Cinque Terre region. They have some food options as well. We chose a couple different types of bruschetta which was delicious. Extremely friendly and knowledgeable service. The guy explaining the different wines and flavor profiles was awesome! Thanks for having us 😊

This was a great experience. Visited for having a wine degustation since I wanted to taste the regional Cinque terre wines. Ferdinando provided a careful and detailed explanation and the wines were really good. Bought a bottle for home. Prices are reasonable for a place in a prime location like this, and the view is amazing. So: service, location and wines 10/10
