My 17 year-old and I arrived at 2 PM to a full parking lot (a good sign!) and were seated in the upstairs dining area. Our server was quick and attentive, the food hot and delicious…so much so that the teen kept clapping over her meal (Hatch Green Chili Chicken Pasta).

Stopped by on the way to our cabin and sure glad we did! We were greeted and seated promptly. The restaurant was cozy and quiet with a very welcoming atmosphere. Every employee we interacted with was attentive and polite. Herschel took great care of us, a true example of what great customer service looks like. We ordered the Rio Grande Burger and Hatch Chicken Alfredo, both were amazing. The burger had a thick and juicy patty with plenty of fresh toppings. The Alfredo had an amazing balance of flavors. Both portion sizes were great for the price. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you stop by Rio Grande Grill and Tap.

I'm not sure where the negative reviews come from BUT I'm disappointed I haven't been here sooner! Service, food, atmosphere - LEGIT! You're missing out if you don't try it!
Chenelle A — Google review
We sat on the patio, it was absolutely beautiful! Our server was so kind to my little one. The atmosphere was amazing. The food was even better!! I loved coming here and will definitely be coming back!
Irma V — Google review
Perfect weather for lunch on the patio. Daily special steak & shrimp scampi. Delicious! Our server was awesome too.

Wow. How a year can change a review. I will not be coming back here and cannot recommend. We visited for my birthday dinner and we ordered some wings w the honey-sriracha sauce and 2 ribeye steak meals. The wings a year ago were perfect, large and crispy…tonight they were still crispy w a good flavor but half the size that they were last year. The ribeye steaks though…absolutely terrible. We expect a ribeye to be juicy and tender, but these did not look like ribeye steaks and they were extremely lean and had zero flavor. I now know why the staff had asked us if we wanted steak sauce! My steak had a super intense char taste to it, and it tasted off, and a it had tough texture; the mashed potatoes were weirdly sweet; and the fresh vegetables were sour. The manager/chef came out and I explained I did not like any of my meal but he was more focused on explaining that the steaks were in fact ribeyes and he trims the fat so he isn’t charging $40 for a fatty piece of meat…then still charged us for the full price of both steaks. I had 3 bites of my steak and one bite of each the mashed potatoes and vegetables, it all tasted off to me. I felt as if I was being ignored and the manager/chef was not acknowledging me. He was rude and argumentative when explaining his cooking method and did not address my dislike of my entire meal. We will not be visiting this location again, and, as a local, I do not recommend. I will say that our waitress was very nice and attentive and she apologized to me. 5/9/2025 ————————————————————————— Made it out to Rio Grande to try out their wings and other things, we've been hearing good reviews from others. We were not disappointed!! The parking looks bad from the street but there's some behind the building. We ordered wings, spinach artichoke dip, fish & chips and finished it off w a carrot cake. Also ordered drinks; root beer and the hard tea. The wings were fantastic! Perfectly crispy and not too saucy. We ordered 2 orders of 6 so we could try both the spicy boq and the honey sriracha sauces. They were not too spicy or too sweet, a very good blend of the flavors. The carrot cake was devine!! The best cake we have had in Ruidoso so far! Our server actually recommended the cake to us and I'm very glad he did! The spinach artichoke dip was okay, I wouldn't order it again. It was a little too cheesy and more spinach than artichoke and was lacking flavor. The fish & chips were alright, again I wouldn't order them a second time. A little too much batter on the fish and the tartar sauce was bland and the coleslaw was watery. The chips were perfect though!! Best fry I've had around Ruidoso so far! The root beer was delicious and their hard tea was pretty good, we were offered a chance to buy some to-go which was cool. The restaurant is really cozy too, all wood and warmth, and the tables are located upstairs. That was nice bc you can be away from the bar area to enjoy your meal w a more restaurant feel upstairs. Definitely recommend and we look forward to going back to try some burgers and steak!

We came in for an early dinner on a Saturday and were seated right away. We got a flight of hoppy beers and jalapeño poppers to start. We realized early on that service was slow and ordered our drinks and food before we wanted them. For our entrees, my daughter got the lasagna, I got the crispy chicken sandwich, and my husband got the elk burger. Food was pretty good, portions are massive!
Karmen — Google review
Great place in Ruidoso to eat and have beers. The food was excellent, our party had everything from salmon, Rio Bravo burger, elk burger, tender basket and Manicotti. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. The waitstaff was excellent and friendly. Very accommodating and it had a great atmosphere.

Beer garden
Wine bar
Tall Pines Beer and Wine Garden is a new addition to Ruidoso, offering a selection of local beer and wine. The outdoor patio with winter fire pits provides a cozy atmosphere for enjoying the drinks. Noisy Water Winery & Cellars is one of the nearby wineries where you can indulge in daily tastings of wine and cheese. This venue also hosts live music events under the stars, featuring local bands and solo artists.
This is my FAVORITE watering hole in Ruidoso. Not only are the owners absolutely good people, friendly, and attentive but the atmosphere is very relaxing. They offer a good selection of cocktails, beers, and wines. There’s plenty of sitting that includes tables and chairs as well as sofas. They also have a room in the back with a video game console that plays old Sega games and has comfy sofas that can accommodate a whole family. The kids love it! It’s kid friendly so it’s perfect for the entire family. It is clean, comfortable and inviting. They have outside sitting also. My favorite drinks here are their Hot Toddies when it’s cold outside, and the Bloody Mary the rest of the days! The owner can make some killer Bloody Mary’s! This place is a MUST TRY in Ruidoso. You won’t regret it!
Sandra C — Google review
Skip Noisy Water, Lost Hiker, and Downshift - your time is better spent at Tall Pines. This cozy spot offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it perfect for any weather. You’ll find a wonderful selection of wines, beers, and mixed drinks, all served in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere. Do yourself a favor and support this local gem!
Clarissa M — Google review
This is a nice little bar owned by pleasant people. Lots of personality in the art and aesthetic. They have wine supplied by St Claire and we got a bottle it was so good. They may have food options but you really go for the drinks and atmosphere
Mitch B — Google review
Awesome new place in Ruidoso! Fantastic service, good beer and wine selection, and plenty of snack options make this quaint patio one of the best spots in downtown. I really hope they grow their service to include food, because I have a feeling everything they do they will do well. Highly recommend!
Kevin C — Google review
Amazing service! Pet friendly and we absolutely loved the atmosphere.
Arian D — Google review
Nice selection of alcohol and wine, heated tent is a plus. The cigar selection was not good according to my husband and the quality of the cigars was lacking probably due to the humidifier/humidor. Anyways, its a good place to have some drinks and relax, it has a nice atmosphere.
X K — Google review
Excellent place. Quaint and owner was outstanding. Very friendly and made us felt at home. They had a great IPA on tap. We visited twice in 5 days and will def return if we are ever in town.
James P — Google review
What a treasure of a find this place is! The service was incredible and the BBQ was tasty but what really set this gem apart was the atmosphere. The outdoor patio is a beautiful spot to chill!

Tina's Cafe, located at 2825 Sudderth Dr in Ruidoso, NM, is a cozy and welcoming eatery that offers hearty breakfast options to fuel your adventures. The cafe serves up classic comfort food such as fluffy pancakes and hearty omelets. Known for its traditional New Mexican cuisine, the menu features dishes with green chile, including the popular Breakfast Burrito and Eggs Benedict.
Great place for breakfast! We requested the patio because the temperature around 11 AM was around 78 or 79 F (August). Beautiful, chill, shaded patio with vegetation and vines swayed to and fro by a cool breeze. Perfect place for New Mexico green Chile chicken enchiladas. The chicken was tender and the Chile was spicy but not hot. We also ordered one of Tina’s breakfast bowls which consisted of red Chile, chorizo and two eggs over easy, and the huevos rancheros platter. The kids’ Mini New Mexico platter was the perfect size for our growing 8 year old. Beware the pancakes are big and fully! We had some beers and enjoyed the breeze with a full belly. Loved it here

Still delicious best home cooked meals!!! Tina's Cafe never disappoints!!! This is our go to restaurant in ruidoso.

If you would like red spicy and green creamy spicy huevos rancheros this is the spot. My waitress Ms Dixie gave me an excellent experience.
Veronica C — Google review
Great place to eat and enjoy a morning coffee. The prices are very reasonable and service is great. I absolutely recommend it.
Ed M — Google review
Stayed in Ruidoso for five days and had lunch and dinner at different locations throughout our stay and I have to say that Tina’s Cafe had the best tasting food. If you’re looking for good home style cooking, this is the place.
Venessa G — Google review
I came in for the candy pig cinnamon roll but was bowled over by the steak tacos and the super friendly service. The host, server and even the cook were very sweet and clearly wanted to ensure I enjoyed my meal and had everything I needed. Definitely worth a stop!
Rebecca R — Google review
Decided to check this place out due to many good reviews. Unfortunately, we weren't that impressed. I asked for an omelet, pretty sure they messed it up and just scrambled it. The biscuits looked soft and soggy as if they were reheated. The cinnamon roll was delicious, but not worth $7. The service and atmosphere was OK, but the music was a little loud and made it hard for the waitresses to hear our order. Finally, for some reason two out of the four of us had stomach aches afterwards. We will be trying a different brunch location next time.
Ralph T — Google review
Yes! I’m glad I tried this place! I’ve lived in Ruidoso for a few years now and never gave it a try because someone said the owner was racist. I decided to form my own opinion and glad I did! The food is really good and I absolutely love the atmosphere. Our waiter was also super friendly and courteous and attentive. This will be a restaurant my family and I will frequent. The Green Enchiladas were tasty and cheesy, and my husband enjoyed the Migas. The only thing I didn’t like were the potatoes that came with breakfast, I found them bland. This place also has live music on the weekends, you’d have to follow them on Instagram to find out what dates. They have a selection of beers, cocktails, and wines. Oh and they have pitchers of mimosas! Stop by and give it a try!

Live music venue
Win Place & Show Bar & Package Liquor Store is a historic Western honky tonk in New Mexico, offering live music on both indoor and outdoor stages. It's known for its impressive bourbon collection and private tastings led by the only certified bourbon steward in the state. The bar also features ax throwing on the outdoor patio, adding to its lively entertainment offerings. Customers have praised it for its fun and friendly atmosphere, responsive customer service, and a good selection of liquor at the package store.
We had a great time Friday 9/19/25. I can’t remember the lady that served us on the patio but she was the only one working the whole patio and she Rocked It! Great job! The band was great and the beer was cold! We will be back!
Kelli O — Google review
The live music was really good! We had to work hard to get the waitress to notice us. I guess we weren’t “regulars”, so she ignored us unless we waved her down. It was early so she wasn’t super busy. We’ll be back regardless since the music was good.
Kelly T — Google review
Incredible bar that was thankfully open early in the week (rare in Ruidoso) for an afternoon beverage. While they have a big patio next door (where there's also ax throwing) that wasn't open at the time. Better for us as the vibe inside was perfect and the bartender was super sweet. They have karaoke on Tuesday and live music on the weekends. You're welcome to bring in your own food as well. All ages during the day, 21+ after 6pm.
Perry H — Google review
Had a few days of vacation time, ran into Mike and had a fantastic bourbon tasting of barrel select choices! Great selection of sippers and old fashions at the bar and damn good selection to purchase and take with you! See ya in November Mike!
Aaron J — Google review
This is a neat little bar right downtown. Our bartender last night was absolutely fantastic and the music Neal sang was so good. Thank you so much for the friendly service and great time. We'll see y'all again soon!
Miranda K — Google review
It's always a fun time at WPS! We sat outside on the patio and listened to the house band which has been there for some time. The beer is cold, and everyone who works there is extremely friendly.
Dotti C — Google review
Great music. I ordered 2 old fashions and it was over $60. The waitstaff said she should have told me it was top shelf. I think they have a shelf above the top shelf. It was unreasonable.

Great little stop for a stroll thru town. Full bar and Good beers. Ax throwing was cool to watch. Great live music. Cool stop to unwind out of the sun.

Noisy Water Winery, located in Riudoso, takes its name from the town's river. The winery offers a variety of unique wines such as Besito Caliente and Rojo Caliente infused with New Mexico chile peppers, along with Jo Mammas Red, a sweet red wine. In addition to wines, the winery also produces flavorful cheeses like Green Chile Jack and Ghost Chile Jack.
This place was awesome. I came here for wine tasting. Very pleasant seating arrangements with merchandise stands set up out of the way. There was a very nice bar style serving area for wine tasting. There are also nicely separated table/booth seating, as well as outdoor patio area. Every single thing I tried was delicious. Red wine, white wine, rosé, bubbly, and cider - all delicious. Additionally, the staff were really polite and provided exceptional service. Cheese board, prosciutto panini, drinks, staff, and the shop - all 10/10. Will definitely be back.

We had a great experience here. We did the tasting along with an amazing charcuterie board. Our server, David, was amazing. We will definitely return and visit the Albuquerque location!

We highly recommend the Charcuterie board. It’s delicious! We also enjoyed a bottle of Unbearably Good and a bottle of Y’All’s Mamma Texas Moscato (no judgement 😂).
Guillermo P — Google review
one of my favorite places and favorite wines to get! only 4 stars because the white lights are hideous. a warmer, yellow light ambiance would make this place even more AMAZING. staff, DAVID, was PHENOMENAL!
Sarah G — Google review
Very nice building and patio. The pours were small (3-4 oz). The semi sweet Reisling was nice. The staff wasn't very friendly and the service was not good at all. We ordered food and wine and no one ever came back to check on us. There was maybe 10 customers. As we left, we thanked the staff and said goodbye. No one responded. Not likely to return.
Diana B — Google review
Stopped by this winery after shopping. This place did not disappoint. Janet was very knowledgeable on the wines and suggested the ones we would like based on our tastes. We would definitely come back for more wine and cheese. This place has a very good chill vibe. Try out the Demigod room when there. We ordered the baguette platter, which was really good. If you are unsure of which cider to get, try the cider flight. The pomegranate one I liked the best!!!

I have special dietary restrictions and actually found some decently healthy snacks and shakes, which were all very good. I love the atmosphere & the barista was helpful and friendly. Located right next-door toSUBWAY®. Decent prices also.
Melanie S — Google review
Drinks were really fantastic so if it’s Java you want they have great choices, food is a lot smaller than I thought tho, it was tasty just half as big as I imagined it was. I do still think that it’s worth the try it’s basically a lot similar to Starbucks kind of food if you like that stuff. Coffee was better than Starbucks 100 percent. It was pricey but not if you’re used to the insane prices of Starbucks basic run of the mill food and drinks. Atmosphere was swanky and chill and the employee was very nice and helpful. When I went they had a sign on door CASH ONLY which isnt a big deal but still minor inconvenience since I Spent an additional $3 on ATM fee which they have located in the corner in case you’re all card/phone payments
Jacob W — Google review
Good coffee, good vibes. This was a nice place to stop for breakfast - I got a bagel and my friends got oatmeal/croissant sandwiches. We all enjoyed. When we stopped by it was cash-only but there was an ATM inside. Not sure if that was because a system was down or if that’s a regular thing. As for seating, most of the tables available are small two-seaters.
Angela T — Google review
It's Good coffee. It's been in our town for a while. Not My go to place anymore as I'm loyal to the Kup. However this place has great baked goods and such. Choose this place OVER Starbucks. I beg of you. Their better. 😝

Their taproom features an array of craft beers including blonde ales, Belgian rye pales, oatmeal stouts, and IPAs, alongside seasonal delights like hefeweizens and dunkelweiss.
We were visiting Ruidoso, New Mexico, and decided to stop by Lost Hiker Brewing for a quick drink—and we’re so glad we did! The atmosphere was fun and laid-back, and the owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They let us sample several of their beers and ciders, and we were really impressed with the variety and quality. Everything we tried was delicious—we had a hard time picking a favorite! This is definitely a great spot to relax and enjoy some unique, locally crafted drinks. They also have some great merchandise like shirts and caps, and the owner was kind enough to give us some complimentary stickers, which was such a nice touch. The staff was kind and helpful. Loved the decor! Great to see the donations for local flood victims as well!

Great food, excellent service plus a grab and go...plenty of seating both inside and outside. Good variety of their own brewery specialties. Live music on weekends. Large tables for family seating and dinning with an awesome patio. Heaters thruout for comfortable atmosphere during cold months. Two full service bars with plenty of staff. Will definitely recommend.

Pizza was really good. We had the supreme pizza and everything was perfect thin crust the chiles were really spicy but good. Drinks were excellent. My wife had a watermelon margarita and she loved it. I had an old fashioned snd that was great. The beer was great too very cold so it was enjoyable.

Met some fun people here as we rested after a long hot day. My daughter enjoyed her Italian cream soda, I enjoyed a ginger beer, and my husband had a spring fling beer. We'll be back on another day to try the food as it comes highly recommended. The outside seating was lovely.

Atmosphere & Service was ON POINT. Ordered pickup & got all the back to my hotel room and was disappointed overall with the food/beverage. Must’ve ordered to-go on a bad night (I hope). Supreme Pizza & Pepsi. Pepsi was mostly water - no syrup (I poured it out) and the pizza lacked many toppings & had literally only 10 pepperonis and almost no toppings on 2 slices. Taste was just ok for me. I eat pizza all over the place, this did NOT impress, especially for $20. I’ll go back bc the place is rad, but no pizza for me! See photos.

Great beer, great coffee, great food! Beer: Fantastic beer, quality is on point Breakfast: the breakfast burrito was perfectly executed - crispy potatoes, crispy bacon, just wonderful. Coffee: their cortado was fantastic and the Tom had the espresso perfectly dialed in (something I don't see very often at a cafe anymore). Well done!

A definitely go back place. Beer options were nice. Even though you had to order from the counter or bar, I would still go back. Food was awesome and do recommend the green chili burger. Wanted to try everything on the menu.

Came up to DOSO for the day. This place hit the spot as meal 1 and hydration. We had tried the Meatzaa pizza very hardy definitely shareable, we had the squeaky cheese curds soooo good none made it back home jeje, smoked wings with buffalo man that yummy sauce, we tried the carne asada tacos pretty good, the beans no bueno had zero flavor, we tried a smashed burger ( hope to try the green chile one next time). Beers we had the bside blonde, breakfast club really good. Great service it is sit and then get up and order there are no waitresses to bring out food or refills. The view out back awesome.

Seafood restaurant
Cattle Baron is a chain of Old West-themed steakhouses known for their prime rib, seafood, and extensive salad bar. Founded in 1976 in Portales, New Mexico, the restaurant offers a wide variety of food options including different salads, soups, and grilled chicken. The establishment is praised for its attentive service and great atmosphere. While some patrons have experienced inconsistent service quality at times, many have enjoyed the delicious offerings such as the rib eye steak and bar salad.
First time at Cattle Baron in Ruidoso and I am impressed. Jaime was our server and she was wonderful. The restaurant is clean and elegant. Parking is super easy compared to everywhere else in Ruidoso. My new favorite restaurant in town! Came back and this time had the Chicken Fried Steak. Absolutely wonderful. It has to rank in the top three Chicken Fried Steaks I’ve ever had!

Our waitress was super nice, the environment was friendly and the price was average for the food. You get bread and butter and the bread is soo soft!

We went on a non busy day at a non peak hour and had an enjoyable relaxed time at the restaurant. I felt the portions were good enough to not need to get the salad bar with my entree, and the food tasted pretty good. It was also very close to my accommodation at the Sitzmark so I walked there, just have to be careful as the sidewalk is narrow in some parts.

Their potato skins were great. I asked for medium rare and I got medium well on my steak. The baked potato was fully loaded and I enjoyed it. My granddaughter asked for well done on her steak and got a lot of pink in it. My son said is hamburger was good and juicy. Their creme brulee for the price was super plain, no fruits on it at all, and too much sugar which made it super sweet on the top.

Our waitress Devenie really needs to be retrained. As a table of 5 on a Monday early evening we were there for an hour and a half waiting and waiting and waiting. Other tables seated 10 minutes after us were served first by other waiters. She made 3 stops at our table in all that time. We had to get her from another table to cash us out so we could leave or we would have been there another half hour.

We were greeted and seated promptly, however it did take a while to get acknowledged by our waiter. The food was not as good as I was expecting. Salad bar and the appetizer sampler was the best thing out of the meal. We ordered the NY strip 10oz and a kids sirloin. The kids sirloin was very dry and tasteless and the NY strip was decent but a good steak should not require A1 to taste good. And it needed it. The sides were small in proportion, it was about a small scoop of mashed potatoes with gravy. I also ordered a pomegranate margarita which tasted like sweet and sour with juice, no liquor was tasted. I got more of a buz from a corona at Pizza Hut. Overall the food was overpriced and the service was not great. The sever could have been having a rough day so we still tipped fairly however I recommend going else where for a tasty meal.

Server was good. Attentive, a bit reserved but good overall. My meat plate was ok meat was 2 small thin pieces somewhat tender good but expected more quality meat for the place I ate in.The grilled jalapeño I ordered was soo good. Pricey at 4.00 (3.99) Baked potato with the works was ( no works) however good. The bread was delicious 😋 salad was yummm so my guess said. Soup to... sandwich plates with tasty fries yummm my other guess said 😋

Farley's Food Fun & Pub is a casual sports bar with multiple locations in New Mexico. The atmosphere is laid-back, with pool tables and plenty of TVs for catching games. The menu offers a variety of tasty options, from nachos to jumbo buffalo wings and delicious pizza. The staff is attentive and friendly, ensuring prompt service for both food and drinks.
There was a lot of bad reviews of this place which made me hesitant to try it. But on a whim, my girlfriend and I came here and it completely changed our outlook. The food was awesome, service was on point and very timely, all the staff were cheerful and friendly, and just as important… the beer was cold. We are out-of-towners and we really do recommend coming here if you want a bite to eat with a nice cozy atmosphere + games for the kiddos.

Our server was great. The burgers literally had 20fries with them. Why chinchy? My salad was good, but had three tiny pieces of avocado on it..? Chinchy.. three people $66. We had water It was every bit of three stars- nothing wowed us. Atmosphere was fine and clean bathrooms. Id go back again

I went in ordered a few simple things just to try it wasn’t all that I expected. Veggies were too greasy and the waiters were to consistent they don’t allow enough time to look over even the drinks. But it was very clean. I didn’t see the cook with a hair net or hair pulled back so I was kinda off guard by that but I guess that’s how they run it. The tea was good Daily pick veggies were way to greasy and mashed potatoes were to thick gravy was great though. My salsa was also good the chips some were cooked to quick and clumped together. Some were greasy some were not.

Very nice waiter. My husband loved the fish & coleslaw. I had one of the best BLT sandwiches out there. The fries were hot & crispy. We've been eating here for over 25 years & love it.

I'm glad I didn't read the prior reviews before coming to eat here. We did have to wait about 10 minutes, the hostess texted our phone when our table was ready, no problem there. We had two waitresses, one in training, both were super attentive and friendly. We didn't have to ask for refills, they were on top of their game. Both food and drinks arrived prompt, by the way, the margaritas are yummy. They also have a decent selection of beers on tap. We had the Nacho appetizer which was delicious. We also ordered the ribs, they were tender and flavorful, the catfish was good, and so was the chicken fried steak. No complaints, the food was good. The atmosphere of the place is also enjoyable. They have flat screen throughout the dining area for customers to enjoy some sports and such. They also have a patio. I live here and I'll probably visit this place regularly.
X K — Google review
The atmosphere is nice, there’s pool tables and plenty of TVs throughout for your entertainment. The food is good, I had the chopped steak with mashed potatoes and it was satisfying. My husband enjoyed his salad, it was nice and fresh. My daughter had the kids burger and it was quite tasty. Their Green Chile Stew is one of my favorite food items here, it’s has a bit of a kick to it but it’s so flavorful! The posole is also very tasty and just like the green Chile stew, it packs a punch. If you like spicy food, those two are good options. This place has Applebees/Chilis vibes but with a lot more beer selections and cocktails. The service has always been friendly, on days when it’s packed you will have to practice a little more patience but it’s never a ridiculous wait. There’s plenty of parking, outdoor sitting, clean bathrooms and TouchTunes in the event you feel like playing some music. It’s a good place to unwind with family and friends, kids included.

On 09/12/25 at about 8pm 4 of us went to dine in at Farleys, I've been dining at Farleys in Las Cruces and Ruidoso for many years, it has always been a great experience, until now. The service was horrific, ordered 2 appetizers one came out after the entrees and the other never arrived. The chicken fajitas were ordered with corn tortillas and they could have broken a window they were so stale. I asked for flour tortillas and of course as bad as the service was I never received them. I don't think the server cared at all about good service. This was a big reflection on the management, never saw a manager. A well run establishment management will walk around and make sure things are running smoothe and customers are happy. Not the case here tonight. We were 4 at the table and had to ask for silverware and when we finally got it she brought 3 sets. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone far better places in town.

Server had NO Clue about beer selections, 2 flautas were not edible, quesadilla had NO green Chile inside, server didn’t come back until we were done eating. I asked for onion rings with my burger and got fries…. No tea refills, no manager in sight.

Bar & grill
Bar
The bar and grill called Quarters had a closed kitchen, preventing the opportunity to sample their food. The ladies' restroom featured small bathroom stalls that would benefit from an upgrade. However, both the bartender and the person checking IDs were pleasant and offered helpful suggestions for nearby dining options. This establishment proved to be a great hometown bar with a spacious patio where visitors could enjoy happy hour drinks. Sam served as an excellent bartender, while Bert was attentive to customers' needs.
The food was amazing. That staff was top notch and they had games you could play. Didn't stay for the live music, but they have live music regularly. The drinks were perfect.
Kalina F — Google review
We ate lunch here a couple times last week. I had the tacos, which were the daily special; there was a lot of meat in them and the salsa was plenty spicy. My wife had a burger, which she liked a lot. There is a decent beer selection as well. The bartender refused to take our beer order when we stepped up to it, but we found a table and our waitress was extremely nice. The 2 time my wife had the chicken wings with Teriyaki. I tried one and thought it was okay, and she enjoyed them more than I did. They were plenty large. I had the Green Chile Cheeseburger. The grain of the patty was tight and looked like a preformed patty, and it was not juicy at all. The patty was cooked fine, with a little pink inside, and had decent flavor, but not great. The bun was basic and lightly toasted, and it held up. The cheese was American, and not melted. The green chile was fresh, but very mild tasting, and the flavor not very good. There was lettuce on the bottom bun; no condiments on the burger, but available on the table. The fries were thin, but not quite shoestring. They were from frozen, and were served warm.

3.5 stars. There’s not that many places open late in Ruidoso so if you’re looking to have some fun with friends after 9pm, you’re options are small. If you’re looking for some country dancing, kareoke, or just a place to have some beers this is one of your options. It’s usually pretty busy during the weekends especially if it’s tourist season. If country music ain’t your thing, they do have a jukebox (AMI) you can play music on and you can also download an app for it, similar to TouchTunes. This place is your typical local bar, it’s casual, nothing fancy. It has two pool tables, some arcade games, a patio, a dance floor and plenty of seating. They do have live music on certain days, check their Facebook page or other social media to get that info. They check for ID at the door at night. They do have a kitchen that serves food during the day.
Sandra C — Google review
I see a lot of criticisms on the reviews here. I’d like to give you my honest feedback on this. I personally had an excellent time, the waitress insured that my drink was full at all times and was checking up on me constantly. I love getting to listen to live music from local artists, even throughout this Covid pandemic they are surviving. The social distancing is still on point if anyone is concerned or worried about that. This is a heavy pour bar so if you like your liquor, then you are in luck. My one take away from this that would be negative, is that none of the food is fresh whatsoever and it’s all frozen. The burgers are only cooked well done which for me personally is a no go. However I did have the hatch chili burger and it honestly was quite phenomenal for a well done frozen patty. I am going to maintain a five star on this just due to customer service and quality of experience. I would recommend this and I hope that your experience will be the same as mine was.

I've been here twice. Once my husband and me had drinks outside and it was enjoyable. Second time around, decided to eat here because I wanted to try their stew but they were out. They were actually out of a lot of items. First things first, the waitress was rude and unwelcoming and kept forgetting my drinks. I eventually gave up and just drank my kids soda. Then we ordered the food: Nothing was memorable. In fact my Philly cheesesteaks sandwich tasted bad, like it was spoiled. Needless to say, we all got food poisoning after eating here. I hate that it happened because I like to support local businesses but they need to step up their game and not be so careless because there's plenty of other good food options in Ruidoso.
X K — Google review
Probably one of the worst bars I’ve been to. Seen them kicking out people for simply walking to the bathroom to the other side of the bar. The live music was great but customer service ? Forget it. They don’t have it. I’d rather go to jacks backstage.

Guests can enjoy tastings in the cozy indoor tasting room or opt for a more relaxed experience by gathering around fire pits or soaking up the sun outdoors.
Had a really nice time taking a tour of the place and enjoying their wine tasting. The people are super friendly and seem to truly all love what they do. Our tour guide, Erica, treated us right and we enjoyed our time with her learning about and seeing the wine making process. Great wine tasting variety, good snacks of cheese, chips, and salsa, and a beautiful piece of property with nooks and crannies to hang out with a good glass of wine. Big 'likes' from us. We recommend!!! (PS This place would be an awesome wedding location too)

My family and I were searching for the perfect winery and found it! This place was incredible!! The customer service was wonderful, all the employees were super kind and helpful! The environment was welcoming, had room for plenty of people and was still spacious (mostly outdoor seating) and is definitely family and pet friendly! The wine was tasty and had various profiles, beer was also great. Definitely worth the small drive from the downtown area!

Spent a delightful afternoon here with two friends. As local friend said we should go here instead of the tasting room in downtown Ruidoso, and I’m so glad we did! We did tastings, and I love that you get to choose the wines you’d like to try. My friends chose to sit inside the tasting room, which was nice, but it’s a small space and was busy. The outside area was so pretty and inviting - live music and lots of families with kids - and the cloudy weather and the wind in the trees made me want to stay all day! Tastings were reasonably priced and service was good. Our steward wrote out all of the descriptions of our wines on a piece of paper…. I might suggest something a little more efficient, like pre-printed tasting notes. Also, the steward told me I could get a free wine glass if I purchased a bottle, but when I went to purchase a bottle later, a different steward at the bar told me that they used to do that but don’t anymore. So I bought the wine glass. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and I definitely would go back!

Beautiful. Brought out our nephews 3 and 5 to play and run. Got a charcuterie board, bottles of wine and cider with all the family and sat and enjoyed the cool spring air. Visited the animals and the creek and threw a game or 2 of Cornhole. Hours well spent today. A little snooty about the keeping the wine glasses when we dropped well over 200 today. Didn't need a wine tasting as we all knew what we liked and wanted...

Excellent pizza with fresh veggies on top. The green chilis added a nice heat to the pizza. The crust was thin and crispy. I’m not a big pizza fan, but this place made a great pizza. I had a Chilton for my drink since I don’t like beer or wine. The vodka used was great! We will most definitely be back for the pizza! The service was great!

Went yesterday after a long traveling day. So disappointing... Better beer? Beer was fine. Better pizza? Yeah, no. Tombstone frozen AT BEST. Prices exorbitant! $47 dollars for an overcooked burger ("sorry, the best the kitchen will do is MW"), a pepperoni pizza, and one beer. Also a VERY long wait, with maybe half the tables occupied. Too bad the bartender told us it would be 45 minutes for the food AFTER we ordered and paid. Tourist trap!!! Don't bother. Do better! No excuse for this low level of service and quality. None.

I loved this place. It’s more of a bar but it’s family friendly during the day. The service was great, they took our order and gave us our drinks quickly. We did wait a bit for the food to come out but it did not disappoint. I ordered the House Salad and Buffalo wings. Both were very tasty. My sister ordered the chicken tender sandwich and pepperoni pizza and said it was also very good. The best part of downshift brewery was their beer selection. Snowday was citrusy and fresh and their beer flights were so much fun!

This is a nice comfortable place to go on a Sunday afternoon. I had the chicken tenders and as you can tell, I liked them so much I forgot to take a picture of the full order. The shrimp tacos were good as well. Decent beer selection. Give it a shot while in Ruidoso.

The downshift brewery is definitely a hidden gem in this noisy river village of Ruidoso New Mexico. Absolutely loved it I actually parked behind the brewery side as soon as I got out of the car very quaint place I could hear music coming out of their continued towards the village so we could shop a little bit unfortunately during memorial day weekend all the shops closed up before 6 PM. Cruised around for a minute went to quarters they were not serving food past 1 PM on Sunday unfortunately. So we went to the downshift brewery they had live music a one-man show very entertaining very diverse music from country to patriotic to rock and classics. This brewery is very inviting with a very nice assortment of IPA local beers. Definitely stop on by the atmosphere is great very inviting plus delicious food which they serve till midnight or closing time. The selection of beer is oh phenomenal cannot get over the amount of choices they offer. My favorite was the alien IPA beer definitely suggested try it out when you’re over here in town or definitely pick some up at your neighborhood grocery store. Definitely come by and check out downshift brewery in noisy river Village in Ruidoso New Mexico a great place to enjoy it have a good time. By the way this is actually a family friendly environment I took two teenage boys of 15 years old and they had a great time and enjoyed the wings the pizza and the chicken tenders.

Small but FUN! I love coming to this bowling alley, not only is the food really good but the place is kept clean, the prices are reasonable and the lanes are well maintained. Inside the bowling alley are 10 bowling lanes, a bar with TVs and Dart boards (only 21 and older allowed), a small restaurant/kitchen, a jukebox, pool tables, vending machines and a few arcade games. The restaurant serves salads, hotdogs, burgers, pizza, wings and various sandwiches. The wings are DELICIOUS, they are saucy and have great flavor. The supreme pizza was full of toppings and came in a good size, one pizza was enough for 4 adults and a child. The bar has various mixed drink options as well as pitchers of beer, IDs will be checked for age. Prices for bowling are as follows: HOURLY RATES - 1 Hour - $37.00 / 2 Hours - $49.00 or $5.25 per game and $3 shoe rentals. They do have specials, check their webpage for info. As far as bowling alleys go, this place may be small but in my opinion it is way better than the larger bowling alleys in bigger cities. The staff is always friendly as well. *They do have bowling tournaments so call ahead to make sure nothing is going on and that you will be able to get on a lane.

1 star is to many. The old saying goes “if it’s not broken don’t fix it”. This place was not broken but someone felt the need to “fix it”. As a long time Paton of the “Ruidoso Bowling Center” I’m very disappointed to see what the new owners have done with the place. Taking away the pool tables, black lights, and dart boards was a terrible move. The pool tables were always busy and this time I seen a few kids in there and not a single one using any of the “new” arcade games. Who ever felt the need to replace the black lights with regular lights and have every single light on in there must be blind. It was entirely too bright in there. Also there was not nearly as many tables and chairs there as there used to be. Felt like they don’t want as much business as they used to be able to accommodate for. Also what was wrong with the original pin setters? The new bowling pins on strings just didn’t have the same look and sound the original set up had. I noticed all new staff members minus 2. Didn’t see any of the staff I used to enjoy seeing and visiting when I would come in. After speaking with a bunch of friends, locals, and regulars that I once would go enjoy the original bowling alley with they all feel the same way and are very disappointed with the new environment there. I didn’t even bother to see if the “new and improved” establishment came with new pricing on everything as well. I went with the intention of bowling with a group of friends and after I spent all of 10 minutes in there looking around i left. My friends were equally as disappointed and left as well. The Locals year around hang out and family fun is gone.

It's a nice spot to bring the family. The food is decent. The beer options are great. They have a limited arcade, with pool tables and bar that has darts.

We love the remodel of the alley people don't like it because they're resistant to change. The bar makeover is fresh and inviting and has now the appearance of a sports bar. Caleb our bartender is friendly, kind, thoughtful and most of all funny. He's very attentive to his bar customers and is always smiling.

Had a blast bowling. We were just in town for one night and enjoyed the bowling ally. Nice cold beer and nice shoes

Good times...tho really really hot at the bowling lanes.....drinks are expensive and the food....now with all the new arcade games it's over crowded...
