Fine dining restaurant
Nestled in the heart of historic downtown Cape Girardeau, 36 Restaurant & Bar is a delightful addition to the local dining scene. Owned by the talented duo John Eric and Vanessa Klein, this fine-dining establishment showcases an exquisite blend of New American cuisine with European flair. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, featuring charming exposed brick walls and warm wooden floors that create an inviting atmosphere for discerning diners.
We had a group od 20, the server Stacis was amazing! I would recommend him as mt server any day. He was honest, patient, quick, and nice! The food and drinks were delicious. I had the Salmon and Sides and it was delicious. A Tequila Truffle which actually tastes like an iced coffee, but with liquor. It was really good. I would recommend this restaurant for date night, Birthday Party, or if you want to just dress up and treat yourself!

This is an undiscovered jem. It’s a small quaint town the this place and the menu is way way beyond what one would expect. Christopher, my bartender, was amazing. His menu recommendations were spot on, maybe even understated and the manager Shawn was super friendly and knowledgeable on the wine list. A great experience overall and I can’t recommend highly enough. Bon appetite!

This place was so classy and chic. Had amazing food. They went above and beyond to comfort us and were oh so nice. The staff was so respectful and caring, I don’t think I’ve ate at a place like this that was on top with everything. The open bar was a cute touch too! Thanks 36 we had an amazing dinner. 🤍
Jade L — Google review
They were very welcoming service was spectacular such details in describing the food and we got what we expected. Plating was beautiful and as we waited we were served a warm piece of bread with butter.
Tantra T — Google review
Just finished our first visit/meal at 36. Christopher at the bar was very welcoming while we waited for our table. Alex was an amazing server! She was so friendly and knows the menu really well. She made us feel like we were old friends. Absolutely loved it here and will be back.
Nikki R — Google review
As it turns out, my Steak and Frites was NOT made to order. I requested Medium and was served with well-done. I was too hungry to request it be taken back. However, everything else was great!
Marzen B — Google review
10 stars for our server tonight, the young lady did an absolutely fantastic job. Very very attentive. My wife and I enjoy fine dining and we've been to many restaurants and the service here was impeccable. It's the little things like the crumb scraper, but most importantly our son got up to go to the restroom as soon as the food came and she hurried over and covered his food so it would not get cold. The food was amazing. Highly recommend! Thanks

The steak is as good as anywhere in New York or Las Vegas. Excellent service every time. Atmosphere is great. Clearly the best dining experience in cape girardeau.

Irish pub
Katy O'Ferrell's Publick House is a convivial hangout in downtown Cape Girardeau that offers hearty, Irish-inspired cuisine and a wide selection of whiskey and tap brews. Housed in the Historic Opera House Building, this cozy restaurant has been a popular destination for those craving authentic Irish food since it opened in 2014. While some patrons have praised the excellent service and delicious shepherd's pie, there have been occasional delays in receiving orders.
Such a cute spot with amazing food. We had the New York strip that was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. And the blackberry and sage margarita that was so tasty. Service was excellent. Would absolutely recommend and return to again.
Audra D — Google review
What a hidden gem! What you would assume (from the outside and name) is a typical Irish bar turns out to be one of the coolest places in downtown cape! Stopped by on a Friday afternoon so it wasn’t overly busy or crowded, which was nice. The bartender handled the bar area and entire dining room with fantastic and attentive service! Beer/Drink menu is great- the Pineapple Jalapeño Margarita was phenomenal. To cap the afternoon we enjoyed a couple pickle shots before leaving! The atmosphere is really neat with dollar bills lining the wall from guests and different seating areas. Very neat!
Brittany A — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal! Loved every second. Grace was a wonderful server, she gave us tips on where to go after and great recommendations. Thank you so much for letting us leave our mark and hosting us to a great experience ☺️

What a fun, unique place! This is a bit late because we went after the eclipse. They were very busy! With that being said, everyone was super friendly & went above & beyond to make sure we were happy. My bangers & Mash was excellent. Perfect portion size. My cocktail tasted great as well. They also have a pool table & touch tunes for music. Definitely recommend!!
Jana — Google review
Had a surprise birthday dinner for my girlfriend. The service was great and they gave us a little table to ourselves away from everyone. The food wasnt as good as we hoped though. The fish and chips was over battered and the fish was a very thin filet. The lobster rangoons had very little filling and we didn't even finish them. Disappointing as we were really looking forward to them. My girlfriend said her Ruben was really good but the chips were dry and not very warm. The bread pudding with ice cream was decent though. The ice cream was better than the pudding. Not sure we will go back. It was worth a try I guess.
Bryce W — Google review
We took a Saturday road trip and popped in here for an appetizer and cocktail. Our server recommended one of his own concoctions, Pineapple Jalapeño margarita, on special for July. Delicious! Fun vibe and great location, right on the Main Street.

Port Cape Girardeau Restaurant and Lounge is a historic downtown venue that offers mouthwatering barbecue and American fare. Housed in a building with ties to Ulysses S. Grant, this establishment provides a laid-back setting for enjoying exceptional BBQ, light bites, and unlimited options like famous wings and steaks. The comfortable space is complemented by live music and exciting entertainment, making it an ideal spot for a casual night out with friends or family.
5-11-24 Upon my son's request, we enjoyed a delicious family meal here after his college graduation. Wonderful service. Nicely poured drinks. Food prepared perfectly. There are two sections to dine in...the front restaurant area or the side lounge area. Each can accommodate large parties.
Through G — Google review
Food and service has gone down drastically. I’ve tried to call in an order several times and I pay ahead over the phone and wait 20 minutes just to come sit down and wait another 20 minutes. Food has gotten sloppy and they give you less and less. I ordered an ENTREE Cesar salad for $18 and paid extra for extra croutons and Parmesan cheese and I swear they gave me less but anywho I paid $18 for the salad below.

We are here on our trip to Century Hotel & Casino. Excellent food. Great servers/bar tenders. No ghosts tho. I did hope to catch one...but no :(.
Dawn H — Google review
We hosted my son's wedding rehearsal dinner at Port Cape. The food was wonderful and the staff was very kind and helpful. The kettle beef and BBQ chicken was top notch. There was plenty of food and everyone left with a smile after having such a good meal. Olivia was very easy to work with. Thank you!
Anita J — Google review
I had baby back. Ribs could have been good, but basically got the charred ends and the nubs. The sausage was OK. Ay, The Onion rings were no nothing special. The oak room is overcooked and brown. This was after waiting for 45 minutes because there was a table of 12 ahead of us, but there were only other 2 tables in the restaurant that had anybody there. Our waitress was MIA most of the time found out she was in the other part of the restaurant having been concerned with other personal things going on. Maybe we. Just had a bad night, but really? I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.
Michael M — Google review
Great historic building right by the Mississippi River. Great vibe for a group outing. I had the BBQ combo with ribs and chicken. It was very good as were the sides. Everyone else complimented their meals and indicated that we'll come back soon.
Roger B — Google review
Restaurant located very nicely on the river. Wait staff very attentive. However, fried okra and hush puppies are over fried, dark brown, tasted burned and extremely hard. Catfish was also over cooked and mushy inside. Water tastes like it was pulled out of the river. My husband enjoyed his burger but his okra was also over fried. This was our first time here and we were not impressed with the food.
Crystal K — Google review
You feel a little nostalgia when going to Port Cape. Food has always been good. Cocktails are on point. I always ask the bartender to make me something refreshing when it's hot or warm and fuzzy in the colder months and I'm always pleased with whatever they bring me. Service is always good. You're always in good company when visiting.

Brewpub
During a visit to Missouri, a friend introduced me to Minglewood Brewery, a beloved brewpub. The establishment's employees were exceptional, offering an abundance of recommendations not only about their beer selection but also regarding activities to explore in the area. I had the pleasure of sampling five different draft options, which provided an exciting and diverse tasting experience. Although I arrived later in the day and missed out on their renowned food offerings, I have heard countless positive reviews about it.
Their pizza's are awesome and unique! (Gotta try the honey hot pizza). The waitress knows what she's talking about when suggesting a good pizza. My husband loved their beer also and wish he could have bought some to take home.
Carie B — Google review
Cute little spot a couple blocks up from the river. Nice sized bar and dining room. Food was fantastic, great beer and drink selection! Star was very friendly and attentive.
Brittany A — Google review
Great place right next to the tourist district. Great shopping and of course the mural walk is nearby. Came here specifically for the macaroni and cheese pizza and it did not disappoint! Lots of great shopping and antique shops to browse through.
Danielle S — Google review
Very cute area right by the river and cool old restaurant. While I did not get the pizza or beer, had a salad. It was overall okay. Overloaded with Italian meats over iceberg lettuce. Next time pizza and beer for sure!
Food_from_the_usa — Google review
The cheese pizza was fine...think frozen pizza type crust. This is one-third of it that I brought home. The service was horrible. Sat visiting for two hours since they were not busy at lunch. Never got a drink refill..got an offer of one when we were about to leave. It was nice of them to let us visit. The step coming in is extremely high so be careful leaving. Never going back. Drink refilling is my litmus test. Acoustics are pretty bad since it's a brick well. Cold, too, with fast ceiling fans.
Linda T — Google review
Are you looking for a good pizza? Do you need incredible beer with a good vibe and friendly staff? Look no further than Minglewood Brewery! As a vegetarian, my favorites to fix up to my taste are the Taco Pizza and the Hot Honey Pepperoni! Literally every single person I have ever met in this business was my favorite person that day. This review however, is to shout out our most recent excellent service from Juniper! I am super late on this by the way, but that should only mean more because the service was so good I am still thinking about it! She was super accommodating toward our diets and even told us she hoped that we won trivia! Thanks again for another great dinner. :)
Mickey N — Google review
We have been to Minglewood many times and always have the best experience. Today we had brunch and highly recommend ordering the Chicken and Waffle Burrito or the Chicken Little Tot. Our server Abby was super sweet and gave great service!

We had an amazing experience at Minglewood Brewery! The food was delicious — everything came out fresh and full of flavor — and the service was top-notch. Our waitress, Dusty, was absolutely wonderful! She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed the entire time. It’s always great when someone genuinely enjoys what they do, and it really showed in her service. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Awesome place to eat. Epic atmosphere and awesome server Cody who got me the epic fruity boy mixed drink and you had my husband's fav drink California squeeze blood orange and he hopes you get McAllen 17. Really great environment the food was delicious. Ty for our first visit here. We recently located to the area from San Francisco CA and we will be back. The GM was so nice and took time to say hello and how was the service. We appreciate all of it. Highly recommend...

Have you ever had a pig explode in your mouth??? Amazing food! Amazing atmosphere! Their smoke and mirrors drink was delicious! Our server Cat was super sweet and on top of everything. Top notch service. You will regret not eating at Mary Jane's Bourbon + Smokehouse

Really speedy service. Waitress was quick and responsive. Sides, appetizers and drinks are their staple. I had the brisket wontons and the corn ribs and they tasted great. The brisket sandwich was OK, I'm used to Texas smoky BBQ, nothing wrong with it, it's just not my smoke profile liking. Old fashioned are good and for a price you can't get anywhere else, must try this place out.

Service was top notch, place was very unique & clean, food was amazing! We will definitely be back.

There is no words to describe the quality of this food! It is AMAZING and BEYOND! The meats are cooked to perfection! The collards were the best I've had in years! Their Mac and cheese is the cheesiest! There was not one bite of this meal that lacked flavor and perfect texture! Phil is amazing! He took awesome care of us and well worth the wait for the food preparation!
Becky A — Google review
My wife and I came in for lunch after a doctors appointment. She had the Smashburger with cheese, she said it was a great burger. I had the Gargantuan. It’s a double burger loaded with smoked brisket and pulled pork covered in queso cheese. It was almost more than I could eat. Our server, Alexis was fantastic. Friendly and engaging. Never had an empty glass while we were there. The Smokehouse is definitely in our rotation when we travel to Cape Girardeau!
Donnie R — Google review
TL;DR: Great burgers/sandwiches, home made ketchup, delicious fries, and great craft beer on tap! Yet another update: The menu here seems different every time I come and yet I still find something delicious on each visit. The Hoisin Skewers are absolutely delightful. A tangy sweet sauce on three chicken skewers with some awesome bacon green beans. Update: on another visit I had the Chicken & Waffles from the brunch menu. Breading was delicious, but the waffle and chicken disappointed me. I felt regret at not ordering something else. My wife had "The Gargantuan" a massive double smash burger smothered in pork and queso. I tried a bite and it's amazing 😍. I had high expectations, and they were exceeded. Food was great, and Nick W. (our server) was on point the entire time. Drinks rarely got low, and food was quick to arrive. I had the Smoked Cheese Steak Sammy. This is a cheese steak served on a pretzel bun. It's absolutely drenched in queso. So much so it was difficult to eat and I loved it. The fries at the bottom were coated in queso and I wish I'd have dipped them all in it. My wife had the Brisket Sammy and she powered through it. It has onions, and she normally does not eat onions. Halfway through that sandwich she was complimenting them and how well they went with it. My daughter had a cheeseburger and fries. She doesn't always finish her meals, but she had half a fry left when she finally decided she was done. The fries need special mention. They are battered and served with a home made ketchup that tastes like the IPA of ketchups. It's good, but no match for the queso. I will be trying the Pueblo Fries (queso fries with pulled pork) on a future visit. The interior and food remind me of a few other places I've been, but $10-$15 per person made this cheaper than expected. Aside from the food, the bathroom is pretty cool. It's dark and yet fairly clean considering how difficult it would be to clean They have 4Hands on tap along with other delicious craft beers. I tried their beer of the month and it was a solid 4/5. Their Apple Pie French Toast is wonderful without being too sweet. While I prefer sourdough french toast, this one is made with brioche, topped with "apple topping" that is deliciously spiced and soft. The candied walnuts are an OK addition, but get drowned out easily by the apple. It is served with a whipped butter that is just sweet enough. Id easily order this again, but it would probably taste better with peaches. My wife tried the Caesar Salmon Salad. The salmon was beautifully smoked to flakey perfection. The Caesar dressing was well balanced but the dish overall is outshined easily by other entries on the menu. We had an appetizer order of the Pueblo Fried that were so good they were devoured before I remembered to take a picture. It's a massive mound of fries, pulled pork, and a deluge of queso. My in-laws had the Trinity, but they ran out of pulled pork (apparently it's so good they run out of it quickly) and they instead got brisket (which is $5 extra). Come early if you intend to get this. I've also tried the Pesto Chicken Sammy. It was delicious with panko encrusted chicken that was severely oversized for the sandwich. The pesto and chicken paired perfectly. Their Mac and Cheese is massive in a bow that looks to be 10-12 inches in diameter. Everyone who tried it said it was amazing. This is easily one of my favorite places to eat in Cape.

Cody was fantastic! He made our first time experience very memorable and fun! We will be back! Everything he recommended was beyond superb! Cody was very knowledgeable and friendly! We had trashed ribs, wings, and turkey gobbler with collard greens! Couldn’t stop eating, it was all amazing to the last bite! “Collard greens were life changing” we didn’t know what that meant till we had them. It was the best I I have ever had! Ribs were mouth watering as the photos, wings were perfectly smoked and juicy! Highly recommend if you are in Cape Girardeau to stop in! Service, Drinks, Food A++! 10/10 recommend!

Burrito restaurant
El Sol is a contemporary eatery and bar in Cape Girardeau, MO that offers Mexican cuisine in a stylish environment featuring expansive windows and an outdoor seating area. This establishment has been serving authentic and fresh dishes for more than 20 years, making it a longstanding local favorite. Visitors from Colorado will be pleasantly surprised by the exceptional quality of the food, particularly the delectable queso fundido.
10 of us Saturday with no reservations got good quick tasty service Dessert first meant we tried all of them with the Xango deep fried cheesecake the favorite Only issue was the Sol dip was so liquidy that the thin chips turned mushy.

Came here after a college visit and go glad we did. They were quick and kind. My husband ordered chicken enchiladas and taco. I think he really liked it since it was gone quickly! I ordered 2 street tacos; one carne asada and one al pastor, and both were very good. My daughter ordered the enchiladas suizas, which was really good! We'll be visiting again next time we go to Cape Girardeau.
Jenn L — Google review
This place is exactly average Missouri style Mexican food. It's not bad in any way it's just kind of missing the spice, the flavor, any real authentic Mexican influence. Definitely a "queso cheese" spot. I will say dos Equis on draft... The highlight of my visit.
Grant S — Google review
Love this place. Portions were good sized and food had great taste. Salsa super fresh and crispy thin chips. Priced well. Will be back.
Lisa F — Google review
El Sol has the best salsa I’ve ever had at a Mexican restaurant. They do $1 tacos on Tuesday that are good but a little dry. However, they are cheaper and way better than Taco Bell. The other items on their menu are great as well. I haven’t had anything I didn’t like there. Recommend the margarita! They recently added $2 street tacos to their taco Tuesday option. My wife and I loved the steak. Chicken option was a bit bland. I think they do a pork version but we didn’t try it. Pics are of one of my chicken tacos. I added queso on top. The other is a kid’s chicken cheese and rice. Update: added pictures of chicken and steak street tacos.

Visiting from Colorado, and I must say this place exceeded my expectations on every level! Food was amazing, especially their queso fundido! Their Potato Chip Nachos are so delicious, I ordered them as my main entree. The drink specials are the best, with the best margarita and beer prices in town!!! Definitely will be returning! Great staff, thank you for great service!!

These are take home Disassemble First meal I sent back because I couldn’t chew it. Then I got this one , but now my partner is done eating and I look like a chump. So I boxed it up. So if your looking for bland , slightly room temp food , that you could have spent that money at the store for some real food. Come here. And go home and feel like you just wasted 50$

The wife ordered the carne asada said it was a little dry but good otherwise, I ordered the Vaquero Special I enjoyed it good flavor with good portions of the food, and chips n salsa as the standard. Prices are okay, atmosphere was okay/ standard for Mexican restaurant, and service was average. Nothing awful and nothing amazing past my food dish.

Located at 3351 Percy Dr in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, The Southerner is a unique bar and grill that draws inspiration from Southern cuisine. Established in 2017, this relaxed conference hotel eatery near Interstate 55 offers a memorable dining experience. The menu boasts one-of-a-kind dishes prepared from scratch, reminiscent of homemade meals.
Everything here was absolutely delicious. We popped in before heading to Benton to watch the races. Great decision. The spinach salad with hot bacon vinaigrette, the piggy Mac, the chicken club. Everything was so good!

The food was absolutely outstanding, a solid 10/10! The green beans and fried pickles are an absolute must-try. I dined with a large group, and not a single person was disappointed – everyone raved about their meals. Plus, the prices are more than fair for the quality. I’ll definitely be returning!

Everything was amazing!! We got the pretzel bread with warm pimento cheese, shrimp and grits and steak and warm bacon slaw. Service was top notch and the food was delicious. Will definitely be back for another date night.
Rhonda M — Google review
My recent visit to The Southerner in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, was an absolute delight, and I can’t stop raving about their incredible Southern cuisine! This charming bistro, tucked next to the Drury Plaza Hotel, serves up dishes that are bursting with authentic Southern flavors, made from scratch with the freshest ingredients. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with friendly staff who make you feel right at home, and the food? Simply outstanding. The star of the show for me was their “Not Your Mama’s Meatloaf.” This isn’t your average meatloaf—it’s elevated with a perfect blend of smoky, savory goodness, stuffed with Gouda cheese and finished on the grill for a delightful charred edge. Each bite was tender, flavorful, and comforting, with just the right amount of their signature ketchup sauce (pro tip: ask for it on the side if you want to control the sweetness). It’s the kind of dish that makes you slow down to savor every mouthful. The green beans were equally impressive, stealing the spotlight as a side dish. These haricots verts were cooked to perfection with a generous amount of bacon, giving them a rich, smoky depth and a slight spicy kick that kept things exciting. They were crisp yet tender, striking that ideal balance that makes you want seconds. Paired with the meatloaf, it was a match made in Southern comfort heaven. The service was top-notch, with attentive and personable staff who clearly take pride in what they do. The Southerner’s commitment to Southern hospitality shines through in every detail, from the complimentary plate of house-pickled veggies to the creative twists on classic dishes. Every penny is worth it for the quality and portion sizes—you won’t leave hungry! If you’re in Cape Girardeau and craving Southern food done right, The Southerner is a must-visit. There's plenty of parking. We tried to go on my husband's birthday, but we had 7 people in our party. This was a Saturday too so very busy. Unfortunately, the wait exceeded 45 minutes so we did go somewhere else that evening. I debated earlier in the week calling to make a reservation, but never did. Next time we have 4 or more people I'll call ahead! My husband and I went the following Friday evening. No wait. Polite and warm greeting from the hostess. We were seated at a high top table. Our waitress, Sofia, was absolutely wonderful. She's very personable, attentive and recommendations were great! She brought a palate cleanser plate- pickled onions, squash and butter bread pickles. The food? Phenomenal. Pricey, but worth it. I ordered fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. My husband had the Not Your Mama's Meatloaf. We ordered starters of brussel sprouts, Mawmaw's hush puppies and gouda Mac & Cheese. Good portion sizes and had plenty of leftovers to take home. I had 2 drinks- Tickle Me Pink Martini and The Bee Sting. I'd go back legit just for this drinks! My husband had the Basil Hayden Old Fashioned Southerner, which again super good. The restaurant is very small so a bit cramped. That's our only downfall we noted. Overall, great experience. We'll definitely be dining here again.

We were traveling through and the menu looked good so we stopped. We were seated right away and our server was attentive through dinner. Those pickles! They brought a plate of pickles-onion, squash, zucchini, cucumbers and peppers that were really good. . I had the meatloaf with green beans and was able to sub Brussels sprouts for the potatoes. The green beans were the haricots verts and had a lot of bacon and just a slight spicy kick. The Brussels sprouts were braised and savory. The meat loaf was pretty good. It comes with a ketchup sauce already on it not mentioned on the menu. I would probably ask for that on the side next time. It came with a bread plate that had a piece of cornbread which reminded me of hot water cornbread that I have had. It isn’t sweet and so good. The other bread on the plate had cheese in it and a crumbly texture. It reminded me of a light cornbread but the server told me it was based on a type of a biscuit. My partner had the hamburger and fries which he enjoyed. We will definitely come back and try some other things on the menu as we travel through this area quite a bit.

Wanted to find something with local food while I was in Missouri, and we pick this place strictly from its name thinking we were going to get some down home southern food. We were pleasantly surprised to walk in and find a pretty upscale restaurant instead of a small town diner that we thought we were going to get. The waitress was absolutely fantastic and had great recommendations, one of which I took her up on, and it was one of the best meals I've had in a long time.( Get the pork chop.) The gouda mac and cheese alone is worth stopping here, but I urge you to try anything else on the menu... I think you'll be hard pressed to find something you don't like. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Missouri just so we can come back here!

Takeout Restaurant
Sports bar
Buffalo Wild Wings is a go-to destination for wing lovers and sports enthusiasts alike. This vibrant chain serves up an array of mouthwatering options, including juicy all-white chicken wings, tenders, and burgers, all complemented by a variety of sauces that range from sweet to fiery hot. Each order of wings comes with complimentary dips and fresh veggies, enhancing the experience even further. The restaurant prides itself on its award-winning Buffalo-style wings that capture the authentic flavors of New York.
Buffalo Wild Wings never disappoints, but today Hayley took it to the next level! From the moment she came to our table, she was full of energy, super attentive, and made the whole experience an absolute blast. She knew the menu inside and out, kept our drinks filled without us ever having to ask, and made sure our wings came out just right. 🍗🔥 Hayley isn’t just a waitress—she’s the biggest MVP! If you want great food AND great vibes, ask for her. We’ll definitely be back for more wings, sports, and Hayley’s top-notch service!

Good food and service. We were seated without a wait. The only reason why the food is a 4 star is because the side salad was just cheese and tomato and dressing. no croutons or other vegetables were on it. And the fries weren't hot like the chicken or burger was. Otherwise, everything still tasted good! The bathrooms were clean, which I'd say is important! We did the 2 meal deal everything my son and I had to eat just barely went over $21.00 Always great to have a way to save especially when on the road like we were.
Amanda C — Google review
The dry rub wings and onion rings were great. The cheesesteak was a disappointment. The fried pickles were underdone by at least 30 seconds. Chicken nachos were heavy on chicken, light on cheese. This chain is very hit-and-miss, but you can definitely miss this location. Too many other better choices in Cape to put up with sticky tables and inconsistent quality.
TC B — Google review
I ordered a mac and cheese burger. To, my surprise , that's exactly what I got. A double burger with no bun, no bacon, and no pickled peppers. Seems they made sure to put the one thing on there I didn't want, the sauce. I ain't mad because they followed orders. I am mad they didn't take the initiative to call, and make sure the order was correct. Who orders a burger with nothing but the patty and Mac. Oh, not to forget, the sauce which they politely put under the burger in the box. If, I had to make an order as such, I would've asked myself the same thing. I would've also reached out to make sure orders was correct, and not the fault of you guys glitchy website 👎🏿. And why not put the sauce in a correct container.

The FOOD was the WORST ever. It wasn't busy with only two other couples. Food took an a bit over an hour and five out of eight dishes were crispy burnt (most of us had a steak sandwich).

Always quick service! Tried out the nachos this time I visited and they were amazing and a big plate for only $12! Definitely worth it!

We had such a wonderful experience here! Even though the restaurant was short-staffed and had lots of new faces, Sean (the manager) and Reily (our waiter) handled everything like true professionals. We did have to wait a bit, but they were both so kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming that the time passed quickly. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt taken care of, and their great attitudes really made up for the challenges that were out of their control. You’d never guess they were fairly new — they carried themselves like veterans. On top of that, it was Sean’s birthday, and he was still making sure every guest had a great time. Thank you both for turning what could have been an ordinary night into such a memorable one. Happy Birthday, Sean, and thank you for the amazing experience!

It was a group of 7 of us two orders came out cold. Told the server and she placed a new order . When the new orders arrived unfortunately 1 had a piece of hair mixed in with the food. Everyone else enjoyed their meals. The server was very polite and friendly.

If you're seeking a memorable dining experience in Cape Girardeau, look no further than Top of the Marq. This rooftop gem not only boasts stunning panoramic views of the city and river but also offers an eclectic menu that caters to diverse palates. Whether you’re enjoying a girls' night out or celebrating a special occasion, the ambiance is perfect for laughter and good times. Indulge in their gourmet dishes like blackened shrimp or French dip while sipping on creative cocktails that elevate your evening.
Top of the Marq, hit the mark! Life hasn't been easy for me and my husband lately. So while we were at yet another doctor's appointment, we searched for a place that was different and a place where we could have a date, we hadn't had one in awhile. Thank you for the good food, good atmosphere and especially the good service. For once in many months we felt a sense of normalcy, thank you for that.

Nice little dinner place for couples or groups. Perfect for a DateNight in Cape before heading downtown. There was no wait on a Saturday around 6pm which was surprising for the type of restaurant this was! It’s a little nicer than a bar and grill, but had a casual vibe. Take the elevator to the 7th floor where you’re met with an eclectic staff and warm dining room and bar area. The main menu is a little limited but the food is outstanding. Small plates are all really great and the Cajun Chicken was delicious! Drinks were made well also. There’s an outdoor area that would be incredible during the summer!

We've enjoyed this restaurant in the past. This evening we ordered 2 tilapia dishes, a smashburger, and a filet medallions dish. We received the fish first. Five or so minutes later, we received the burger. Still 20 minutes later, the steak was not served and the server had not checked on us. We had to find someone to cancel the steak since everyone else was DONE with their meal. Very disappointing that this issue was not addressed by the manager.
H H — Google review
Consistently great food on a rotational menu. The only reason I give the food 4 stars is from portion sizes but I can understand as a former professional cook that as food quality goes up, portion size must accommodate ever rising food costs. Excellent service every time I've visited. This time Makayala was our waitress and she was top tier
Justin Y — Google review
The food and drinks were both amazing. Be ready to spend a little $$ but it is very much worth the quality. It was the perfect place for our anniversary. The best was the fish!

I have great experiences every time I visit Top of the Marq. The cocktails are unique and tasty. The menu rotates seasonally so the food is always fresh. In the many times I’ve visited Top of the Marq, I’ve always been pleased with the food and drinks. One of my favorite parts of the roof top bar is the view of downtown Cape. The aesthetics of the entire building is immaculate. Edit: The truffle fries are hands down some of the best French fries ever. You must try them!

Gotta go see Ben and have him make you literally anything from the bar. Had an amazing cocktail and great food. Will definitely be going back. Great views of the river as well.
Aron D — Google review
This is a very cool restaurant with exquisite ambience but the food did not meet the mark. Excuse the pun, I couldn’t resist. I would say the only thing worth the money was the pork chop. Everything else was not good for the price. But I love the views of the river and the city as well as the interior architecture. Yes you were concerned about wasting but still want to see the restaurant just go for a drink.

Everything on the menu is delicious. Friendly atmosphere and great service. My 8 year old son said "This is the best place of his life" lol

No wait, seated right away. Friendly enough hostess and servers. Good selection of rubs and sauce flavors. Wings had a good taste, and coverage on some could ha e been better, but overall, it's was pretty good. Prices are moderate. Lunch special with drink and tip for 1 was $17.00.

God bless their sweet bartender(Robin), bc I’m convinced no one else works here. She’s always the only one doing anything and everything and still she somehow does it all with a smile. There’s no way they’re paying her enough.

Was looking for a place to eat after a long day of work. I was heading into Firehouse Subs when I noticed the Wings Etc next door. I haven't seen a Wings Etc in a long time so it was an easy choice for me to go there instead. After waiting at my table for 10min without any greeting, I went back over to Firehouse. The server in my area was too busy talking to her friends at a nearby table. Another server walked by 3x and didn't say anything. Pretty disappointing.

I ordered online for pickup to make sure everything would be right, but unfortunately both of my burgers were made incorrectly. I even paid extra for bacon and only got it on one of them. I used the online system specifically to avoid issues like this, so it was disappointing to see mistakes still happen. That said, the burgers I did get were still really tasty!! I also understand I came at a busy time!

Usually pretty solid! Twice in a row now though I got the ranch fire jalapeño burger and they forgot to put jalapeños on it lol had to ask for a side of them both times but it’s still really tasty. Just weird how twice in a row main topping is forgotten lol Fries are always tasty with the Cajun season but wish I’d get more than just 13-15 fries in the meal just seemed a bit skimpy. The taste of everything was great though just weird minor issues.

Dogwood Social House in Cape Girardeau is a vibrant destination that caters to both food lovers and fun-seekers alike. With an extensive menu featuring mouthwatering options like hamburgers, pizza, chicken wings, fajitas, salads, and steaks, there's something for everyone. But the excitement doesn't stop at the food! Guests can enjoy thrilling activities such as ax throwing and bowling or challenge friends to table games.
Fairly friendly environment. Service was good but she forgot to bring our plates for the pizza, but she was rushing around busy. I also think that they should vocally let us know when they have promotions. I missed out on a good deal because i didn't see the sign until I left. Otherwise service was pleasant. The place was nice. Kids had fun in the arcade. I would return! Especially since they have karaoke and axe throwing.

Club Sandwich was supposed to have the Sidewinders but came with fries instead. Tried to get a but light from the taps but it was empty. Charged me $6.80 for a bottle from the bar, but only $4.25 from the waitress at the our table. Games are in need of repair. Alot of them didn't work. Unfortunately this place has gone down hill over the years.

It took one and a half hours for my food to arrive. My whole table finished their food before I recieved my meal. They said it went to a different table and had to be remade. About two hours after we left, the restaurant added another charge to my card. Everyone at my table of 5 paid individually, we were still together so everyone showed me their receipts and the extra charge didn't even match anyone's total. I called the restaurant twice with no answer. So not only did my whole table have to wait for me to eat, I paid my full bill then got charged for a random order for someome not in my party of 5. Never had that happen to me before, very sad 😔. The food I ate was good! The experience was unsatisfactory. This truly ruined what was a great weekend. I wish we had went somewhere else for dinner.

Took my family here for a good time and I honestly couldn’t enjoy myself. We started off bowling and the lanes keep stopping. The pins are on a string so when you bowl they are dangling and you can’t continue the game. We tried to play some of the arcade game but most of them just took our points and didn’t work or worked but not properly. Then we sat at a table for over 30min and no one came to take our order, even after speaking with one of the servers. We walked into the Karaoke room and was told that someone rented the whole room out for themselves. There was no sign or anything so I believe he was lying because it was just an old man and a bunch of young teen girls which didn’t sit right with me even after leaving.

I usually love going to dogwood social house, but this past Friday we had a sever we’ve never had before, and quite frankly service was mediocre. Our server was Katelyn, we received our food before our drinks, server was no where to be found majority of the time when refills were needed, and she was not the nicest. Like I said, I usually love coming to dogwood, but next time will hope for better service.

We go every Wednesday for bingo ! Aly is the absolute best ! She has our drinks ready as soon as we walk in the door and even when she's busy she takes the time to stop and talk to us through out our whole stay. Couldn't ask for a better time from all the staff when we are there! ❤️❤️

I have recently been frequenting Ebb & Flow Fermentations as I have developed an interest in craft beers. The beer is of high quality and the ambiance is fantastic. The patrons are laid back, friendly, and well-informed about their selection of beers. However, the highlight at Ebb & Flow is undoubtedly the food. It is absolutely outstanding!
Had burgers, appetizers and beers on July 5. Parked on the street right by the gate. We almost had the place to ourselves. The weather was perfect for a July lunch. The food was excellent. The cost was very very reasonable. Great atmosphere. Come on Cape Girardeau! I couldn’t believe this place did not have more business that day at lunch. I spent less here than at most chain fast food places. Better, fabulous food, better atmosphere and beer. To top it off, it is dog friendly! What’s not to love? I looked, there are only 3 dog friendly places listed in downtown Cape and this is one. Cape needs to support this place. What a gem for any town. You’ll spend less here than Chipotle and it will be in an atmosphere to sooth your soul.

Stopped in on a Saturday for a bite and a pour with a party of seven. An added bonus was the live music on the patio. This place has room to spread out and stretch your legs! The food and beer were good. We had the Long Haul flatbread, the Jam Burger and the local brown. Everything was tasty and came out quick. This place has a great, chill vibe. Give it a try!
Scott R — Google review
This place is STELLAR! The location, the drinks, the food! It’s all so unique and inviting. Pet friendly! The patio is superb and the entire place is cozy and comfortable. The food we had was all vegan and delicious. The sour beers and cocktails were insanely tasty and unique! We also got some unique brews in bottles to go and they were reasonably priced. Super amazing service and all around a really nice experience. Highly recommend!

Started coming here a lot more recently as I started to get into craft beers. The beer is good, for sure. The atmosphere is awesome. Everyone is so laid back and just so incredibly friendly. They are so polite, full of good vibes, and are very knowledgeable in their beers. But the best part about Ebb and Flow is their food. Holy. Cow. I try to experiment with something new every time I come. I can not stress enough how good their food is. From their apps, they’re burgers, flat breads, you name it. Everything is amazing! Pictured is the Schnitzel. I can’t explain it, you just have to try it. Along with a good ol’ Catfish Commons.
Ben D — Google review
The atmosphere is point on! Relaxed and sophisticated. Comfortable setting both indoor and out. The courtyard is clean, and the fountain adds to the ambiance. The beer. There is something for everyone!! The sour was great, the beat and mead were a surprise. We try all brews when visiting a new place. It would be nice if they offered pours individually. They offered 4 tastes to a flight and had 7 brews, we asked for all, and they charged for 2 full flights. In the grand scheme, it's not that big of a deal, but something to consider. We did go back to fill the 8th glass with a recommendation of the server. The food. Holy cow! The pate was perfect, the stuffed mushrooms were delicious and the burger.. OMG..the burger would keep you coming back! A fabulous experience worth a repeat trip! Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time! Enjoy everything!

Lovely and cozy little pub for anyone looking for a good spot to drink and hangout. The atmosphere seemed laid back and while the crowds were having fun, no one was excessively rowdy which makes it seem a solid place to have a few laughs without sacrificing safety. While the prices were pretty low, they are fair. Typical bar food. The bartender was informative and even handled my special drink order with no attitude. Malibu barbie with pineapple in place of the peach is a drink so delicious I could get in over my head quickly sipping those all night. Our food was okay in that while it tasted okay it was nothing very special. So expect typical bar food. We experienced just two issues: I ordered the loaded fries for the app and we recieved the chicken and cheese fries which we ate without complaint. The later issue was my fault as I failed to notice the slots are for amusement only. Had I observed such first I wouldn't have dropped a full $20 in that machine.

Under new ownership for awhile now….. nothing is as good as it was !! Went for a couple beers and a to go pizza and we won’t be getting anything else from there. Ordered a large pizza with two meats , jalapeños, green peppers and xtra cheese @ $1 per topping on top of the price of a large and got this small / personal looking pizza ? The new girl tending bar also did the cooking, so everyone at the bar had to wait for drinks while she made the food

Usually a great place to go. However, if they are going to card you, they should do it before 9 o clock. Not after you've been there for an hour and a half. I felt very singled out and this is not the first time (I had my ID with me, I'm almost 28) that this has happened while I have been there. Card everyone. Don't single me out. Thanks.
