The DKDC in Bar DKDC stands for "Don't know, don't care", and when it comes to reasons why you should go that's the perfect mantra. The bar/venue feels like a communal throwback in an increasingly isolated world. Maybe it’s a DJ night, maybe an international touring punk band, maybe a brass band. Don't know, don't care because the vibes are always right and the staff is quick and attentive. Start times are loose but the energy is tight. Strong drinks alongside tasty non-alcoholic options. Bar DKDC isn't just one thing and that's great because it's for everyone and all are welcome. The classiest little dive in Memphis and a must see if you're looking for something unique and intimate off the beaten path.

DKDC is a fun spot to have a good drink and a great meal. It’s very eclectic and unlike most places here in Memphis. I would recommend for a date night or just a quick drink with friends. They also have live music a few days during the week.

It's like an upscale, crowded house party with the hottest people, the best clothes, the strongest drinks, and a band so close you can feel the heat rising off their instruments. If intimate were defined as a bar, it would be Bar DKDC.

If you can’t get a table the Beauty Shop, this sister restaurant serves food from the same kitchen. You can even order off the same menu. The foods good, the atmosphere is dark and very much a bar scene.

Cute bar but bad service. Arrived late for a party 3/9/23 and stood at the bar to attempt to order a drink and the female bartender just ignored me. After realizing she wasn't going to help me and getting tired of standing there awkwardly, I went and sat down at the table and finally was able to flag down the male bartender who was serving the tables. Someone needs to tell the aforementioned female bartender that she needs to at least acknowledge people who are standing at the bar. They usually aren't just standing there to look pretty. They want a drink and it's her job to get them one.

Earnestine & Hazel's is the epitome of an old-school dive bar! There's only one food item on the menu--the Soul Burger. You can get a single or double, and it comes with a bag of chips. I'm not one to eat grilled onions on my burger, but I went out on a limb this time and tried them. Oh. My. GOODNESS!!!!! The Soul Burger is AMAZING, and Top Chef Tim is the best! He definitely works his magic with the burgers! I visited right when they opened, and JB was working the bar. She was SUPER cool and great to talk to! My drink was simple--bourbon with a splash of Coke--but it was a good one! They say this place starts really hoppin' around 9 or 10 pm and goes until the wee hours of the morning. That's past my bedtime, but maybe I'll check it out one of these days when I'm there with my husband. I'll definitely be back!

This is the best bar in all of the United States, and also has THE BEST BURGER I’ve ever had. It’s most authentic bar and such a great hang. Saw a great little duo upstairs, and there was a band downstairs as well. I can’t stop recommending this joint.

Fancy HoleNThe Wall 🤷🏾‍♀️ Well... Ambiance is definitely available. Service was nice, she kept getting me water even though - customers are supposed to get their own. The burger was a burger - had a double burger at about 20.00 - def not worth that. But, I am thinking that this is a "Cheersy" type of spot where you just know you are known and come for that purpose. Burger was alright - not bad at all just not worth the fare.

Best of the best long standing dive bar with an award winning cheeseburger (and that's the only food they serve) with rumored haunting on the second floor that hailed as a brothel in the good days. For drinks, they have what they have, but you'll like it. Those behind the bar are awesome, and add to the cool vibe. Karaoke night is fun! Must visit in Memphis, great for late night cravings after a night on Beale St. You'll have stories to tell after a visit here.

Incredible drinks. Bartenders were awesome. I said surprise me and was served a great cocktail. The Soul Burger was FIRE!! Allison killed it!!

Went on a Saturday early afternoon….Allison was behind the bar serving and cooked our burgers! 10/10 customer service and food! She kept our drinks refilled and was so nice! Burger was amazing ($10)

I think the cover band was YUBU. played great songs to get you dancing. The musicianship was top-notch. The guitar lead on Bad Co was phenomenal! Customer service was very attentive and friendly. We all had a fun time!

I went to Young Avenue Deli last night for a little solo date night, and it did not disappoint! I had the Italian sub with their homemade fries—both were absolutely delicious. For dessert, I treated myself to the brownie with ice cream, which was the perfect ending to the meal. I also tried a lemon drop along with some water, and everything was spot on. The environment was fun and welcoming, making it a great place to relax and enjoy good food. I’ll definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I went out to Young Avenue Deli with a few of our friends while we visited Memphis. We tried to come to the Deli before a few months back, but the place was so packed that there wasn't anywhere to sit. We were lucky this time though, and this experience enlightened us on why the Deli was so busy in the first place. First of all, the vibe of the Deli was great. There was a stage for live music, pool tables and foosball. The vintage signs and bar really gave it the deli vibe. Our waitress was incredibly laid back, which I appreciated about the bar/deli atmosphere. The food is what really made this trip worth it. The pimento cheese fries were honestly life changing. The thick cheese stayed gooey as we devoured the fries, unlike other cheese fries where the cheese slides off the fries or it's too little of an amount, there was also a perfect balance of cheese and fry in every bite. The sandwiches were also mind blowing. This was probably the best Chicken Philly I have ever had in my life. The chicken was cooked not in thin shavings which makes it easy for it to come out dry, but instead it was cooked in medium bites, which kept the chicken moist. This paired with the melted mozzarella, onions, mushrooms and bell peppers all on toasted bread made it. My boyfriend enjoyed the muffuletta, and so did I, granted it was a close second to my Chicken Philly. The olive spread on the muffuletta was the best thing about the sandwich, in my opinion. It brought a sense of sweetness to the sandwich which I enjoyed. Overall, I can't wait to go to the Deli again!

We went here a few separate times because it was right down the street from where we were staying. Waitstaff and Bartenders are amazing - food was pretty dang good (get the Mozz sticks) and the drinks were top notch! We definitely made a stop back buy not entirely sober... and they were STILL awesome. PLENTY of room for everything. Plenty. Pool in the back, booths, big bar, high tops and low top tables... like, yeah just go here.

Went on a busy Saturday with perfect patio weather. Food came out relatively quick given how busy it was. I got the Italian sub which looked and tasted more like a pizza flat bread with lettuce, cheese fries on the side with ranch. Star of the lunch was the...... ranch. I'd get the cheese fries again but maybe try a different sub next time.

Super cute and fun bar. Plenty of space inside and out. Really enjoyed my banana moon pie ice cream dessert. It took a while for a waitress to come, and it took a long time to pay. I ended up leaving the table to meet the waitress at the register. Would have been 5 stars if the waitress was more attentive. I’d come back for beers.

Quirky spot decor the food was delicious! The fries were some of the best I ever tasted! My friend had the Ruben ( Chicago style) she said it tasted wonderful. I had the muffuletta probably the best one. Since 🍗 Kwik Chek in the 1990’s!

If you are looking for a great place for good food and drinks with a friendly atmosphere and music this is the place for you. You are greeted by very friendly puppy dogs in a pirate ship setting. Live music at night. The food is So good that it makes you want to come back and try the other dishes. Tyler Holmes who works there was very friendly and a pleasure to meet. I enjoy going there meeting new people every time I visit ❤️

Came in from outta town and happened to pop in late night during karaoke. Michael was very friendly and welcoming despite our arriving just before close. Drinks were great and atmosphere was fun! Michael definitely made our night and made some great recommendations for during our stay!

It was small really nice old school type of place. Mike was my bartender it was really nice I love the paper plane. And I had the oyster sampler which was excellent I couldn't tell you which one was my favorite. And they have comedy night tonight

Beware DOG friendly atmosphere!!! My aunt and I went on an oyster date. Evidently she didn’t do her research because she’s extremely afraid of dogs. After enjoying our meals and drinks in walks a cute black and white dog. And out the door we go lol. Other than her being scared of the dog everything was great…

Really great meaty wings. Spicy! Gooey grilled cheese w tangiest. tomato soup…hearty. Deviled eggs had kick. Memphis Old Fashioned. I had one, could have 6 more except I have to drive home Robert was our waiter. Excellent guy.

Met up with some work compadres for some drinks and eats. We had a great time and some great drinks. It was not super busy on this evening and the service was great! The food was also pretty good too!! Highly recommend the charcuterie board!!! Not pictured, we also got the shrimp shrimp étouffée and the grilled cheese… both were great!

I liked the place, especially how fast service is We luckily came during happy hour and had some good cocktails @ half price(4pm-6pm Monday-Friday) and some not so good food at half price also. Again, I applaud the place for having affordable bites so quickly, but the quality really shows once the food arrives. I recommend the beef sliders and avoid the tacos (which had tiny bits of shrimp and was a huge letdown). So, my advice is focus on the drinks. There is a menu in which good isn't discounted and those plates looked yummy

Came here with friends (December 30) for happy hour and this is a nice little gem. The ambience was great and I’m glad I came! I ordered the House Frites and Mussels as an after work “dinner” and was able to get a few drinks from the happy hour menu. I would definitely recommend the Hound Dog as this drink was delicious! The mussels was cooked perfectly and just the right amount of garlic. They give you a massive amount of fries that’s enough to share with the table. I will definitely come back here to try their other food and drinks!

Best cocktails bar ever! The drinks are amazing but the bar tenders actually know the drinks! Food was great too. Overall I would recommend this place for sure.

The small plates are great... deviled eggs, tune poke tacos... and a plate of fries that’s a mile high Bartenders are super friendly and helpful. Can’t say the same for the disinterested hosts :/ but that won’t sway me from coming back

A cute spot! Definitely, exceeded my expectations. It's not fancy, but it's a nice place to hang with friends and have a good time. Went here during Labor Day weekend to visit my friend in Memphis for the first time. They had events all weekend including different bands playing. I didn't know what to expect but I loved the vibe to the place. They had cornhole, food, indoor and outdoor bars, plenty of seating, and my new favorite Memphis bartender, Jack! He was so good at making drinks and giving us recommendations. Very easy to talk to and made the whole experience so much better. He made the best white tea's and strawberry margaritas! They sell food as well but we ordered too late so the kitchen was closed. Luckily they had a vendor there that sold brisket nachos. It was over $10 but it was a huge portion and it was worth it. Overall, the place itself was so cute and I would def come back next time I visit.

Decent place, the menu leaves much to be desired. The burgers sounded very good, and they came out looking very tasty, unfortunately the meat patty was not at all good, it tasted like a frozen patty, thawed and cooked, that frozen after taste, which was too bad since the rest of the burger was pretty good. Fries were good. Not a lot of choice of draft beer, and somewhat a little expensive for such a small plastic cup. Nachos were decent, meat tasted good, but I am not a fan of queso sauce, but I am sure others like it. Seating and atmosphere is spacious and creative. The band playing on a Sunday afternoon was very good.

This place is huge, bring your posse!! Four stars only due to the parking situation, which sucks for everyone but about 10 cars. Not sure how it works late at night but it can't be good. Food is good, beer selection is limited but hits all the local Memphis breweries. You can sit outside or inside in the a.c play ping pong, volleyball, Cornhole, or sit and relax on some foldout chairs or on a picnic table, or relax in a hammock.

Great hangout or meeting spot with indoor and outdoor seating options. You can eat, drink, play games (beach volleyball, Jenga, etc), listen to live music or watch a show since they host great events. It's hard to find parking during popular times but you can always park around the block and walk over.

Always a great time here..... Nestled right where I grew up.... Nice to come back to the area and still hang out some where I have always felt safe. Nice casual atmosphere....play some volleyball have a drink listen to a band and much more. Really family and pet oriented.

Awesome place to be!! Several areas ro sit in -- indoor and outdoor. Pets are allowed and they have play area for children. The food is excellent and the bar staff rocks!! I'll definitely be back!! Thanks for the fun!!

This place is awesome! We were visiting from out of state and we're with local friends....man it's like an awesome community block party on steroids! Felt safe kids were there and people were enjoying them selves and being respectful of each other and in general just having a great time!

Went to a wedding there it absolutely blew my mind how big that house was and it's over a hundred years old the food was great and we had a blast thanks to the Molly Fontaine group

We were just in Memphis for 5 days on vacation, Bardog. Tavern was right around the corner from our hotel and we used it as our base of operations. The staff was exceptional. The food consistently good. And the drinks were always right. We enjoyed knowing that this is some place we could always go to and be comfortable. The patrons were always pleasant and fun to talk to. I'm so glad that we found this place as it made our time in Memphis, comfortable and easy. We will definitely come back when we're in Memphis again and say hi to our friends at Bar dog. What a great experience.

The ONLY spot I stop for lunch when I’m in town for work. 3-4 days a week, 4-6 weeks a year. The atmosphere is awesome, the people are great, food and drinks is AMAZING. The buffalo tenders are a must try, the daily specials are never a disappointment. Emily behind the bar is great! Very personable, fast with her service and makes great drinks! I look forward to eating here every time I’m out this way.

A proper American bar. Customers sitting up at the counter and chatting as it should be. Real old décor and friendly staff. Good pints so I was content. They serve food as well but I did not eat there. Right in the heart of Memphis so one could walk to Bardog Tavern easily. I highly recommend.

We stumbled upon this place while visiting in town. Such a great atmosphere. If we lived here we would be here all the time. The staff was so friendly and the food was amazing! We will be back!

Everytime i come it’s an issue. Today the nee rule is no salad or anything not on the late night menu after 11. Cool, why is it still online on late night menu for me to order and pay extra for? Also why not notify me in advance instead of when i drive 25 minutes to pick it up? Last time i came curtis givens had downtown blocked off so when i arrived to pick up my food i had to walk 3 blocks because they would not cancel because ‘it was not their fault’. When i arrived my food was cold from sitting for 45mins, still no remake. But i open up my food and it’s all wrong so then the rude manager had to remake my order! God dont like ugly. Nesha was polite today and refunded me for my salad. But bardog needs to get it together. Not everyone comes to only drink. Some of us come for the good food, only if good service came along with it. Whew

Bardog Tavern is an excellent establishment. I was in town for work and we decided to get dinner there one of the evenings of our visit. It was literally the best meatball sandwich I've ever had in my life! The staff was professional, courteous and quick to respond to any of our requests. You can tell management has done a great job with their staff! Whenever I am back in town, I will make sure to swing into Bardog Tavern. Highly Recommend!!

We stumbled across Celtic Crossing after a good night of bar hopping in Memphis, and it was a nice play to have a calm end of the night. We first started off with a round of drinks. I had a cocktail that had cucumber in it and... it was not that great. Granted, it may just be the fact that I just don't like that particular drink, so no big deal! The others enjoyed their drinks regardless. We started off food with an order of the Irish Poutine. It was really good! Probably the best dish of the night. I loved how much cheese was on it. I got the Fish & Chips and my boyfriend got the Celtic Corned Beef Sandwich. I'm not a particular fan of Corned Beef, but this sandwich changed my mind! It was incredibly savory. The Fish in the Fish & Chips was slightly bland, but the tartar sauce made up for it. The fries were also great! Make sure you order them seasoned, it makes them 10x better. Overall, great joint!

Great new menu items. We had the watermelon heirloom tomato salad, fish and chips, and county Kerry Colcannan soup. Everything was great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. We sat on the patio with our pup, and our server brought him a bowl of water.

We came for my wife Birthday, and EVERYTHING was AMAZING!!!! Adam and Debbie were so lovely, give great advices and recommendations on the food, the area, sightseeing, … The food is 100% and homemade (!!!!!) ❤️‍🔥 I am a foodie, and as I am French, I am really picky on the quality/flavor/taste/… in restaurant, and you can trust me, this place is purely awesome!!!! Definitively a Must-Eat when in Memphis and Cooper-Young area!!!!

I went to try the fish and chips and the portion size was large but the fish lacked flavor. The food was hot and fresh.My waitress was great!!!! She had a huge personality and she made my experience very relaxing. I didn’t like being sat in the corner but she made my visit special.

Their food is delicious! I love how many different items they have on the menu. Patio bingo was fun. We loved how they allowed our dog on their patio. Service was super friendly and fast. I would highly recommend for a good time and good food!

Brunch review: big omelette, the cheese in the Irish omelette is great, the potatoes they have with breakfast are also good. The best part was the boiled eggs wrapped in sausage and bread crumbs and fried. Good stuff. The soda bread slice was tiny, and don't order the French toast, skinny bread and very basic. Our waiter wasn't very attentive, and there was a big crowd of regulars watching a couple soccer games, so understand it'll be noisy and folks will be seriously drinking early if soccer is on. No complaints, just for your info.

This place has has a laid back and chill vibe. Indoors is very lowkey with dim lighting. They have a large outdoor patio, which is where I sat. When you sit outside you can choose covered w/ fans or uncovered seating. Just keep in mind, if you sit outside there’s possible chances of the homeless in the area asking for food/money. Service was good. Mark? took care of us and was very friendly and helpful, but I wish he would’ve checked on us a little more often. I really wanted to try their brunch but ended up missing it by a few minutes (they changed the hours) so I settled for their chicken sandwich. The flavors were there, it does have a little kick so if you don’t like spicy this isn’t for you. Buuuuuut the downfall of it all was that my chicken was raw. And it completely ruined my appetite. My friend got the Philly cheesesteak, which was great. The fries were nicely seasoned and crisp to perfection. All in all, I probably won’t return for lunch/dinner but I’ll give them another shot for brunch! Oh, and don’t rely on their menu online! They change the menu and don’t always update the website.

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was interesting. Service was lacking a lot. It really is a cool idea. And the menu was definitely interesting. The salmon I had was top level Fire! Would get it again and again. I had four people ask me about it while I was there and they ordered it too. The service...there were two guys behind the bar and they seemed like they could care less about my sitting there. I do not drink and I guess since it is a "Speekeasy" I should not be there. Whatever. I would go again. But I may not go out of my way to get there.

Really cool atmosphere. The food was really tasty but not cheap. I had the steak that was pretty expensive. Ordered medium rare. Came out paper thin and medium well, however, still tasted great. I ate it all and would order it again. Maybe the best mashed potatoes of my life. My only complaint is the lazy bartender. I watched her screw up classic drinks for over an hour. Every drink given a single shake and unceremoniously dumped into a rocks glass with ice. Sidecar, margarita, martini, gimlet, old fashioned, etc. All looked exactly the same. Left out a lot of really important ingredients. If they are going to charge a premium for crafted cocktails, and they do, they should be exactly that, crafted. Said she has been a professional bartender since like 1997. I can't imagine where. Maybe she just wasn't into it that day. I overheard her say someone complained her drinks were too strong. When you leave out all the non-spirit ingredients it has that effect.

Brunch was fantastic! I had the salmon hash (as I’ve had many times before) and it does not disappoint. I crave this dish ALL the time!

By far the worst experience and service I have had at any restaurant in Memphis! I repeat I do not recommend, the service is slow, they do not have assigned tables for a waiter or waitress to serve you.(everyone just comes along which causes problems) I did not receive my sweet tea that I ordered after waiting 15 minutes before someone came to the table to acknowledge me and my party was here. I asked for a new order of potatoes and the waitress was completely rude and saw that my potatoes were burnt. Lastly on my reorder my potatoes were worst along with ketchup packages in them.

Disappointing chicken and waffles. $14 for a level of quality I would expect for $8 at a dive joint. No meat on wings, no breading, no flavor. Super slow service. Wasn't busy, maybe server was also working as cook? Outdoor seating was nice.

Great place to hang out. Bar is well stocked. Jukebox is classic. Food is OG with some of the BEST ribs, wings, and burgers in Memphis. Old school and safe. Try it don’t miss it.

If you’ve been to Alex’s, you know the atmosphere is awesome. The food is great but pretty expensive for a dive bar. If you go, get the wings, Greek burger, and gumbo. The service is hit or miss. Last time we went, the bartender was so enamored with talking with two guys at the bar, he seemed to forget he had 7 tables waiting to give him an order lol. He seemed more concerned with chilling with his buds than doing his job. I get it’s endearing sometimes for a dive bar to have cranky, slow servers. But having bad service while the food is overly expensive? Not great. Still love this place though. Great Memphis establishment.

Alex's Tavern might be my favorite place to watch sports. It's the place to go for the NCAA Tournament when you have games for hours the first weekend. Must try the Greek Burger and the Wings! Also they've got shuffleboard - so good.

My fiancée moved into Memphis Dec 11th, we were introduced to Alex's and fell in love. Rocky the owner might be the patron saint of Memphis.

We didn't know what to think when we pulled in, but we were pleasantly surprised to find a historic, homey, friendly bar with liquor setups. Our bartender wynn (spelling?) was kind and informative. The owner, rocky, was likewise hospitable. Thanks for a fun night.

After a long day of travel, this was such a treat. We went early because we were hungry. Jordan took amazing care of us - excellent recommendation for the mushroom pizza (I'm picky when it comes to mushroom AND pizza execution) and made a great cocktail for me off the cuff. He was kind enough to give some local recommendations, even though he was calmly handling a growing crowd, and even tipped me off to a current band that reminded me of my favorites in high school. Thanks for a great first evening in Memphis.

Amazing cocktails. The bar staff is knowledgeable, love what they do, and have some great classic cocktails and inventive feature cocktails. They have a thoughtful back bar spirits selection including some great amaro brands like See the Elephant. Highly recommended for a black negroni made with mezcal, See the Elephant, Campari and grapefruit rind. Will 100% be back!

Excellent happy hour. Loved the sausage pizza with a cocktail before, this time a plain cheese pizza. Just keep in mind that the pizza is hot hot hot when served. So maybe order another drink as you wait for it to cool down.

My first visit to Bar Hustle and I must say that I was impressed. I loved the nostalgic ambiance. I was there for a small social gathering and the setup was perfect for drinks, light appetizers and conversation. Of course, I had to have an old fashioned for my drink and it did not disappoint (so I had two). The lamb meatball pizza was very good as well! From the description, I thought it would fall more in line with a gyro but it was a perfect mix between a gyro and a gourmet pizza.

Bar Hustle is quickly becoming a go-to staple for us. The food and drinks are some of the best you’ll find in Memphis, and the atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between vibrant and laid-back. Bonus—it’s pet-friendly! We’re in DeSoto County, and it’s absolutely worth the drive to downtown every time.

Best happy hour deal in town! Jordan provided excellent service, and the pizzas (especially the sausage) were to-die-for.

First time visiting Memphis and I wanted to check out BB Kings based on their reviews. I ordered fried okra, side of Mac n cheese, and a combined shrimp and catfish platter. Pros: the portions are a decent size, so I was able to order one platter and share with my 12 years old. The platter only came with one piece of fish but since we had the okra as a starter and Mac n cheese as a side (upcharge) it was more than enough. The Mac n cheese was good, very creamy and flavorful. The food was also hot and the service was great. The okra was very good as well, mostly because the sauce really kicks it up a notch. I also really enjoyed the hush puppies that came with the platter. Cons: in terms of the flavor of the fish and shrimp, it was okay but not great. For me, it wasn’t stand out or unique in any type of way. Would I recommend. Yes. The restaurant does play music so it can get kind of noisy and it was kid friendly (We went earlier in the evening).

So fun!!! Walked in for dinner and also enjoyed a great band. (There is a cover charge for adults.) Ron was a fantastic waiter!! Took very good care of us - my delicious sweet tea was never empty! Ribs were fall off the bone delicious and the shrimp and grits were so good!! We added hush puppies - a very good idea on our part. It was all so good!!! Service, food, atmosphere... perfect!! Only negative - the men's bathroom attendant was rude to my 15 year old (no reason, uncalled for!)

We tried 3 different ribs places and this was definitely the best place! The ribs were fall off the bone and had great flavor. The sides were good as well but nothing amazing our favorite. The vibes were great since there was a live band. The service was very nice and attentive.

First time to Memphis and visited this renowned location to enjoy some comfy food, great live music and lively atmosphere. It did not disappoint. Memphis Soul Factory had the place on their feet. Such incredible talent. We had a great time.

Went in the evening right before catching the grizzlies game. $10 cover for live music. But it’s worth the overall experience. Grab a drink and enjoy the music and food. The shrimp and grits is in my top 3 of all time. Would go back in a heartbeat

Best Halloween spot one could have asked for. Live music + nachos made me extremely happy. I also love that you can watch the band from down on the floor, as well as from the upper gallery. Staff was dressed up too, Beale Street in general is always an adventure. The vibe overall was unforgettable.

Our server was great! When I ordered Non alcoholic Shirley temples, she gave my daughter extra Cherries 🍒. Rib was good but not the best. Nachos are 10+. It was just us three, and we shared our food and asked for extra plates. It wasn’t busy when we went and we saw the band setup their gear while we ate at the second floor. Overall it was good.

The perfect word to describe Itta Bena is PHENOMENAL. From the service, to the live music, and delicious food. Everything was spectacular! My husband and I ordered the shrimp and boneless ribs. The food was perfectly seasoned, bursting with flavour with every bite. Our server, John was absolutely fantastic. He was friendly, funny, and made our day special. We were celebrating my promotion and John was kind enough to recommend the lovely bread pudding. Wow! The perfect sweet treat to end a beautiful dinner. I am grateful we visited Itta Bena and we will certainly be back when we are in the Memphis area.

I never write reviews (and I wasn’t asked for one), but this meal was truly fantastic. It’s rare nowadays that a restaurant really executes in all fronts, but Itta Bena delivered. One of the best steaks I have had in years, great ambiance. Our server, (ninja) John, gave great recommendations, was great with my young kids (hence the ninja title), and had the perfect of conversation. It’s honestly a can’t miss when you are in Memphis. … did I mention the brass urinal? That was also a real hit with the kids! Haha.

Jonathan the absolute star of the show! Truly the best, most attentive lovely service we have ever had! Travelling from London, England this was our first night in Memphis and came across this hidden gem! Gorgeous food, great ambience but more importantly Jonathan was a truly shining light! Came to dinner here with friends on the recommendation of a local bartender and boy, howdy, yumminess rules here! I We started with the smoked bacon with feta & blueberry compote, which sounds like an odd combination but it was phenomenal. The fried green tomatoes with a lemon remoulade disappeared in a trice. My husband and one friend had the short ribs, tender & flavorful. Our other friend had the grilled lamb and was quite happy. We were all too stuffed for dessert but they looked yummy. Service was attentive and friendly, and our poor server was kept hopping - eight tables in her station! That she remained so cheerful and efficient is nothing short of a miracle. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

Itta Bena and our fabulous waiter, John, provided a primo experience for my husband and I. We were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday and received not only a champage toast for our anniversary but also a dessert for my birthday. Cocktails were great. Shrimp and beer bread appetizer was over the top. I am going to be obsessed with trying to make it at home! We had cajun pasta and shrimp and grits for our entrees. Both were spectacular. When John said shrimp and grits were the best in town, he was spot on. I think they were the best I've tasted anywhere. We will be back to Itta Bena. If you haven't been, I highly recommend visiting as soon as possible!

Honesty, I think this was the best dinner I’ve had in Memphis. Our server Jonathan was amazing and went above and beyond normal service. We got: She-Crab soup - wonderful flavor, piping hot, and did not hold back on the crab. Bacon app - my goodness, I’ve never eaten something so well done. And the blue berry compote was the star next to the bacon. Mac & cheese - cheesy and delicious Shrimp & grits - shrimp cooked perfectly, slightly salty, but not really in a bad way. The mushrooms & shallots made it sing. Tomahawk Pork chop - such a bizarre combination of flavors that actually really worked! Individually they were just okay, but all together were a perfect bite. Got the Old Fashioned and it was wonderful! And they do a damn good extra dirty martini. Will 100% be back. And requesting for Jonathan!

If you are hanging out in downtown Little Rock and you need a place to wet your whistle, we would highly recommend stopping in the Flying Saucer. We had a lot of fun here today, sampling the various varieties of beer they had on tap. And, I have to tell you there are a lot of choices. Thankfully, we got some good advice and directions from our bartender. We ordered some sides to snack on while we savored our beers. Good fun. Great beer, and the atmosphere is stunning. Even if you aren't thirsty by all means, stop in and check out the ceiling in this place. I suspect that you will stick around and have a beer.

We were walking around downtown Memphis and decided to try Flying Saucer. We were having a late lunch early dinner so the restaurant was not crowded. The server was prompt and friendly getting us our drinks and taking our order. We had an appetizer, the pretzel and burgers for the main meal. The food was well prepared and very tasty. I highly recommend this place

Stopped here to eat, had the San Miguel Burger. Very delicious from start to finish. Our waitress did an amazing job and checked in often to see how things were going. Pretty cool atmosphere and would recommend to anyone looking for some great food.

Food and drinks were not very good. Two night stay and My margarita was too sweet, my beer could have been colder, the appetizers were not so good. We tried the hummus plate and will not again. Sounded great on menu but was not so in reality. Chicken sandwich was not very good either. The chicken was cooked nicely but the rest was subpar. The music on the other hand made the whole stay worthwhile. Best DJ ever!! Great sound system and tunes. I will visit again if I’m ever in Memphis. Kudos for snagging such a great DJ.

The food is okay, I've tried the salad, cheese bites, wings and fries.. but Great service. Love watching the bartenders mix their drinks, true mixologist, Love Bridgett great personality! Great place to go to after hours. However, turn the music down way too loud. Can't even have a conversation without shouting. Soul music 1st of Aug was not something that you play it was from an error of pain for black Americans.

Amazing atmosphere and ambience. Great city views from the patio including skylines and the train. The cheese fries are an elevated experience from the typical messy fries at bars. I tasted every bit of elegance that was put into crafting those fries. The Sadboi cocktail was fruity and nice too.

A nice spot for breakfast if you are also staying in the hotel. Not so many options but adequate for what you need. The waitress was so kind and gave up a tour of the old station after we finished eating.

Inside of the crosstown arts building, which by the way, has so many amazing pieces of furniture!! Like real MCM amazing. Also tons of art and exhibits throughout the space… There’s a veryyyy little sweet spot serving up craft cocktails and wines. They also have so many gorgeous MCM pieces. I wish I could bring them home with me! A sexy little vibe for sure— they had small bites and games tucked away for groups and plenty of seating options! You could also just walk around and take in all the art pieces.

Kitschy bar with a retro vibe. Great for meeting friends for a low-key hang. Lots of rooms (keep walking back!) where you can actually talk! Drinks are unique from the menu but they serve all the standards as well.

Waited 30 min without anyone speaking to me . The ambiance is nice but I’ll never be back . It wasn’t but maybe 10- 20 people in here and you can’t even speak . Art Bar is a really cool, laid-back bar located in the Sears Crosstown building. The old record player and antique furniture reminded me a lot of the upstairs at Ernestine and Hazels. We didn’t try any of the food, but the cocktails we had were very good. My husband had the Last of The Mississippi Speedballs and I had a drink that wasn’t listed on their menu called, Sure Is Pretty. I would recommend coming here for a date or a night out with friends.

Ordered jumbo smoked bbq wings and the gator gumbo. Both were good but the gumbo was the standout to me and really was amazing. I definitely will be back.

Rum Boogie Café on Beale Street is downright cool! Not an inch of this place goes untouched! There’s so much to look at, it’s incredible. You can feel the energy and history that’s passed through here, even during the day! We had the breaded mushroom appetizer, which hit the spot, and the drinks were heavy pours, a definite plus! Loved the cherry margaritas! There was just one guy running both the bar and food service, and he did a fantastic job keeping everything on the move. They have a separate bar area as well as tables to dine at and watch the stage entertainment. I only wish I could have seen it fully alive at night, but even during the day, Rum Boogie Café has a really unique vibe. Highly recommend stopping in!

The interior is a sight to see. I loved all the guitars hanging around the whole place. The tables had bright, cheerful plastic gingham tablecloths. The staff were friendly and service was quick. The entertainment was good. Now about the food, the BBQ Pulled Pork was delightfully smoky with a sweet BBQ sauce poured onto the sandwich. I loved it. It was $18 and did not come with any sides. I had the fried okra that wasn't seasoned much but I still loved it. I tasted the mac n cheese which wasn't for me...I think it had pimento cheese in it. All sides were $4.95. I drank iced tea at $4.95 a glass. I really loved the food but felt $55 was a bit much for two sandwiches.

Stopped in for lunch and the place is amazing and so fun. Our waitress (I think Erica) was so sweet and took great care of us! Lunch was delicious. I highly recommend! All the guitars are soooo cool. Definitely stop in if you are visiting Beale st!

Our waiter was clearly high, we could smell it. He was friendly tho 😆. The food was terrible. I ordered a catfish sandwich and the lettuce wasn't just wilted, it was molded. The rice wasn't cooked all the way in the red beans. The side of bread we were given tasted funny, like moldy. The catfish itself was fried perfectly. The drink was made well. Everything else was not good.

Live music, drinks, and kitschy vibe, plus great food. Service is slow, but we weren't in a hurry. Floors are sticky, which we expected in a honky tonk. No cover charge when we visited on a Sunday afternoon.

Awesome place to sit and have a few drinks while listening to a good band! We loved sitting outside on the patio people watching as well. Had a great time there. Will definitely visit again when we travel back to Memphis.

The decor is quite nice - like a 1960's beauty shop with glass walls between the booths.The menu is unique and intriguing. The portions are small and so I recommend you select an appetizer as well as the entree. They may have a children's menu but we did not need nor ask for one. I would not bring young children here based on the price alone. We had the Peach and Pork, Cucumber salad and dessert. There was a lot of time between ordering and food delivery I suspect because the food required more extensive preparation. We passed the time with the Monkey Bread appetizer for the table. The desserts were good and topped off the meal nicely.

We had a wonderful brunch experience here. The food, atmosphere, and service were absolutely perfect — 100 out of 100. The only downside was that some of the tableware wasn’t very clean, so we had to wipe it down ourselves. The dishes were creative and refreshing, with a great balance of fruits and vegetables that made the meal feel like a new experience. We tried four different dishes and enjoyed them all. This was one of the best brunch experiences we’ve ever had, and we’d love to come back to try more items on the menu.

I usually don’t write reviews but this was probably the best restaurant I’ve visited in Memphis. We went on a Sunday around 1:00 and we sat outside. Having the fans at the table was a big help with the TN heat and our waitress was so helpful and delightful. I wish I could remember her name. I ordered the “it hash to be” with veggies and it was the best and most flavorful meal I’ve had in a while. My friend ordered the steak and eggs and her steak was perfectly cooked and so delicious. We will definitely be back next time we’re in town!

Everything was okay. Ordered our food it took quite awhile to come out. It didn't seem to be busy inside as we were seated outside. Although I could be wrong. This was during Cooper and Young race. Our waitress was cool. I wasn't aware that there was an automatic gratuity charge which I don't like. I usually like to tip in cash. My friends lamb chops were ordered to be medium well, they came out medium rare and so pink inside. We really should've looked at the menu before coming.

Dinner here was a highlight of our Memphis trip! Heard that Priscilla Presley used to get her hair done here & that the restaurant kept some of the original kitsch & charm. Loved the vintage-y vibe! The Cooper Young neighborhood was definitely worth checking out; hip, lively, & safe. You won't be disappointed if you order the monkey bread w/dill butter as an app & sip some great cocktails as you wait for dinner. Our entrees were flavorful & had lovely presentations as well. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Memphis!

I tried the evening's special. Ribeye steak with potatoes.. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly. My only complaint no steak sauce (I'm a condiment person) I have to mention the waitress offered to have the kitchen whip some up but I declined, again, it was seasoned well enough on its own.

We stopped going thru town. Wow what a gem! Fresh food, awesome ingredients and a perfect lunch menu! Love this spot!

I gave it 5 stars because I can't give it 6. We did the tour, Keith was our guide, he was just awesome, he knew his stuff, he was funny, polite, informative and someone I could be friends with. Afterwards, at the tasting, we indulged in a few other products, which we subsequently purchased. If you are in Memphis, even if you are only passing through, stop in, do the tour, buy stuff and tell Keith the two Aussies say hi.

Definitely a great place. Did the tour and it was just me and the hubs. Jacob was amazing and so knowledgeable did a great job on the tour with the tasting. The gift shop attendant thought didn’t get her name was also very nice and helpful. Our bartender Angelica while busy was still attentive and friendly. Hubs says his old fashion was fabulous and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend for a stop in on all areas.

Visiting Old Dominick from the heart of Memphis is easy peasy. The vibe there is down right cordial and upbeat. The folks in and around the bar are knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was laidback and fully of info about the company history which we enjoy and the process. Well done folks

Did the tasting tour and had a great time! I’ve been here plenty of times for events, but never for the tour. Now I can finally cross it off my list (even though I’ll definitely be back…because, it’s me lol) The space is gorgeous, our guide was super knowledgeable, the group size was perfect, and the variety of tastings kept it interesting. Once the tour wraps, you can slide straight to their in-house cocktail bar…or go grab Gus’s Chicken across the street. IYKYK!

Did the Beyond the Barrels tour and had a great time. John was our tour and tasting guide and made the whole thing fun. The walk you through the whole process of distilling from start to finish. All of the staff was friendly. The whiskey is the real star though. Old Dom is a must visit if you appreciate a fine crafted spirit.

We did the distillery tour a few days ago. It was a lot of fun and interesting. With a very nice tasting at the end. Our tour guide, JJ, was very personable and knowledgeable about the whole process. He kept the group engaged and entertained the whole tour. If you are visiting Memphis, go have some fried chicken at Gus's across the street, then do the distillery tour or vice versa 🤔

It’s a beautiful distillery. The staff is amazing and u can tell they truly care. They have a wonderful bar and it reminds me a a major market hangout. Memphis needed a place like this.

Decided to give this place a try for a special occasion after reading rave reviews. Our experience was underwhelming. We ordered three appetizers, and they were alright, not too good nor too bad. The pasta that I ordered was an absolute disaster. It was very salty. Upon letting the server know, he took the pasta in and brought it back the same exact dish, telling me it was modified. While paying $20 for a pasta I’d atleast expect it to be edible. The drink I ordered wasn’t great either. The place was extremely noisy as it was a Saturday. The service was average.Overall, not a great dining experience.

Catherine & Mary’s delivered a fantastic experience from start to finish. The space is elegant and modern with an artistic, industrial flair. Our server, Casey, was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, making the evening even more enjoyable. I had the Spinach Agnolotti, tender pasta filled with beef genovese, served with a vibrant pomodoro sugo and topped with ricotta salata. It was beautifully balanced and full of flavor. My friends ordered the Casarecce (with a bold calabrian sugo, pancetta, and parmesan) and the Carbonara, which was creamy, rich, and peppery, both excellent choices. We also shared the Antipasti Board, a lovely assortment of cheeses, charcuterie, pickled vegetables, and spreads. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and artfully plated. For dessert, we tried the Tiramisu and Cannoli. The tiramisu had a light, creamy texture with a crunchy topping that added a great twist. The cannoli were crisp, filled with rich cream, and drizzled with chocolate, absolutely delicious. Overall, Catherine & Mary’s combines top-notch service, beautiful presentation, and outstanding Italian-inspired dishes. I’ll definitely be returning.

Excellent food! We ordered Caesar salad, lumache, agnolotti, and ice cream. The salad had too much lemon and it was the weakest of what we ordered. The lumache was really good but sauce could be a tad too much. The agnolotti was the star. Everything about it was perfect. The filling and the sauce were divine. For the ice cream, we ordered a trio of blackberry, coffee, and Parmesan (yes!!). And the gelati were super good and portion was good too. The coffee was expected but still very good. The blackberry sorbetto was not too sour, which we loved. The Parmesan gelato was like vanilla but with a hint of the cheese, not overpowering, just right. We really didn’t expect the food quality to be this good. Service was very professional. The place was a bit on the loud side. We couldn’t really talk. Acoustic panels could maybe help.

I would definitely go here again for the food and experience. However, what I thought the atmosphere was going to be like was a little underwhelming. It was loud and sort of hard to talk with my wife while we were celebrating our anniversary. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. The mood was nice but it was kind of downplayed because of how loud it was.

Excellent sharing options for entree and bites. Cured meats are very well made. Cocktails were excellent and the pasta was very tasty.

10/10! Happy I found this gem close to my hotel in downtown and will absolutely be back when I come to Memphis for business. I had the broccolini salad and the spinach agnolotti and they were to die for. Portions are perfect, nothing crazy big or hard to work on as you can see on the pictures. The place is classy and casual, has a great design and the bar seats are very comfortable. Sarah and Chayton were my bartenders and I highly suggest you follow their recommendations as they know the menu perfectly. Carrot cake is a must for dessert and/or a scoop of the parmigiano gelato too. I wasn’t a big fan of their tiramisú but can’t wait to comeback and try everything else on the menu. Thank you for such an amazing dinner!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Catherine & Mary’s! The meal started off perfectly with their cheese selection — beautifully presented, balanced, and full of flavor. The Caesar salad was classic and fresh, while the broccolini salad was pleasant surprise, slightly smoky, and tasty! For entrées, the halibut was tender and flaky with just the right seasoning. The eggplant ravioli was another hit, rich and comforting without being too heavy. Our waitress Marissa was fantastic — friendly, attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel special. Altogether, a warm atmosphere, excellent service, and consistently delicious food. Highly recommend Catherine & Mary’s for a refined but relaxed night out!

Found this gem in downtown Memphis! Home from home, Irish quality Guinness, great staff and terrific recommendations for things to do and restaurants in mid town. We are rugby fans and they subscribed to a US sports channel so we could watch Leinster play Northampton. Full Irish breakfast was fab and and also the Bloody Mary, great way to jump start the day!!! A surprise find for me. I was looking for something other than BBQ, and I came across The Brass Door. The staff were great. If you are looking for traditional Irish food, I highly recommend this place.

We've been to The Brass door 3 times now, and it has yet to disappoint. The food is delicious, the atmosphere makes it feel like you've left Memphis, and the service is always delightful. The fish and chips is always delicious, and the tartar sauce they serve with it is something that even those who dislike tartar sauce normally, would enjoy. The beer cheese dip and pretzel rolls were surprisingly delicious, and if you get the shepards pie, i would recommend putting the remaining cheese dip on top of the pie.

We went to The Brass Door for St. Patrick’s Day and we were not disappointed! We even brought my 4 year old and it was early enough in the day that it was appropriate and she loved it! The service was quick and the food was fresh and yummy.

The Brass Door was truly the highlight of our trip to Memphis. It captures everything you’d hope for in a great Irish pub—warm atmosphere, excellent food, and perfectly crafted drinks. What really set it apart, though, was the service. Seamus, the owner, greeted us right away and his passion for the place shined through. Adam, the bartender, was equally wonderful—an absolute gem. Sharing the match with you all will always be one of our favorite memories from this trip. If you’re in the area, this spot is an absolute must!

I always pass this place and see it's busy. Decided to finally give them a chance. You can sit at the bar, patio, or at a table. The food was good. The waitress was awesome. I wish I would've tried another drink. This place is a great place to have a meal with friends and chit chat.

Been here a few times, sadly the service and food were not up to par. We went on a perfect day to sat outside, worst experience I've had in a long time. They allow smoking, so if you enjoy others puffing with no regards to others, then you may enjoy their patio. Our waitress was not pleasant, even after I spoke first. Ordered the steak and egg sliders, since it was brunch, my sliders had no seasoning, the egg was not cooked evenly, and they were just bland; as least the fries were good. I leave you this review as an opportunity to bring your business back up to the standards it was last year. I'm sorry, I have no plans to return anytime soon.

The meal was good, the service was decent, and the atmosphere was great even when the DJ went Slayer on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The meal was a bit pricey, and I'm not a fan of the added 20% gratuity, anywhere. I'll go back to try the variety of sliders!!

Ordered take-out... food was going to be ready sooner than I expected. I told the lady on the phone how far away I was, and she offered to hold off on the order for a few mins before sending it back to the kitchen. My food was ready upon arrival & hot, just like I like it, when I got home. Fries don't take long to get cold once the container is opened. Everything was delicious, and would absolutely return!

Food is very good. The Jameson Slushie is tasty. The Memphis, the Hangover, and the chicken slider were highlights.

Worst service in Memphis - and that’s saying something. Food is fine. Owner will respond to give them another shot. This was their other shot. Been coming here for years and it just keeps getting worse. Will be my last time. For some reason I get 3% better service when I come with my boyfriend instead of when I come alone even though I am the one that pays. The mushroom burger used to be good but now they don’t season it at all. Usual order is sampler with falafel, chicken, and burger. This time I was begging for service just to get my order in. Told the server the beef was off and was offered for the chef to make a fresh one. I hope I had a fresh one to start with? I passed. We had to fight the flies the whole time we was there. Food was not good and very basic. They seem use premade chicken strips on the chicken sandwiches. This place has fallen very low! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL

Holy cow, this place is amazing! Wonderful smoked meat. I have the sausage and the brisket. Also have the macaroni and cheese and true Mexican corn. What a great treat! Also have a huge outdoor area that is fun to hang out in and what room here is that it’s dog friendly. You should come check it out!

First time visitor but definitely won't be my last! Can you say AMAZING ATMOSPHERE!!! This place is just beautiful. Plenty of outdoor space. Corn hole games are also outside. If you decide to sit outside I would say be mindful of the mosquitoes! They were horrible after the sun started to set. I had the chicken tacos, they were delicious although they don't have taco sauce or Salsa to go with the Tacos. Definitely would give this location a 10 out 10 just based on the atmosphere.

A chill place where dogs are welcome both inside and out, and the staff is patient even when you ask annoying questions (like whether there’s extra items off the menu—there isn’t). I ordered the brisket salad expecting something forgettable, but it showed up looking composed and tasted fancier than expected! The beer list is short, but they offered a frozen cocktail tasting, which was generous. I chose the least syrupy one, but even that slid into candy-sweet after a few sips. I just stopped by for a little bit while in town, but I would be a regular if I lived in the area!

My american burger didn't have a lot on it! Like a "whataburger or burgerking" size meat inside, one small slice tomato,onion and no pickles or mayo, mustard or ketchup! They gave me two packs of ketchup for my extra charge french fries (only possible to come with potato chips) not of your choice either! My wife chicken wings were close to raw with sauce on them. We both had one alcoholic beverage, hers was good. Place was too expensive for this type food!

This place is huge. I've come a few times with large groups from work. Outdoor ambiance is why you come. Games or TV. Drinks and good food.

You need to make this your go-to hang out spot because there isn’t a better place in Memphis. Especially in the summer and fall Loflin is my go-to spot for an after work drink and their snack options are perfect (but good luck picking just one). If it’s a date or you’re going out with a big group it’s an amazing spot - make sure you challenge your friends to some cornhole

visiting from out of town looking for a local place. this had good reviews and looked nice/fun. got there and no waiter/waitress. im no millenial so when i go somewhere I expect tohave a menu handed to me (not look it up on my phone) and be waited on (not do all the work myself). so when i walk to bar to order for our party (which already has limited menu items to start with) the bartender tells me they have no more mac n cheese which was what my daughter and i really wanted. apparently no cook to order staff working or they didn't order enough ingredients to be able to cook food they list on their menu. not a great experience for visitors to leave Memphis with.

Such an awesome bar! The atmosphere, art, and music selection. The service was great and the food was great. My family and picked a drink from the zodiac menu and it was STRONG, and worth the money. Also their strawberry and raspberry lemon drop was AMAZING. We had a smoked gouda charcuterie board, so so so so good! 10/10. I do recommend making a reservation online right before you get there. Saves a lot of time.

Fabulous atmosphere, fantastic drinks and food! Such a neat place to find in Midtown, you have to make reservations so make sure to do that early! Perfect spot for a date night or girls night out. The drinks were phenomenal and fun and the service was great.

Great vibe, immersive atmosphere. Very friendly and professional staff, we were greeted by everyone entering and leaving. Our server Grace was awesome! Cocktails and shareable plates were good! First time going and I'd definitely go back. Relaxed business casual attire, not exactly upscale dress code. Rooftop views of Overton Square with a nice seating area for groups. Had no problem parking for 6pm reservation, there is a paid garage that is very reasonable price wise and right behind the hotel, short walk. We had a great time!!

The ambiance is set from the moment you walk into the lobby and are greeted by the hostess, who takes you into a portal of fun! (the elevator). Once we were inside, every inch of the space was dressed to the nines, with attention to detail unlike anything else I had experienced before! The food was all immaculate, but I want to spotlight the rib sliders, the duck flatbread, and the caviar! YUM! The drinks are always cute, and it's nice to try your friends' zodiac specials. Wyatt the server, was so nice and informative, and the playlist was a plus. Will definitely return soon!

This lounge is a dream! The mood is super laid back and inviting. The decor is very upscale and offers great seating. The outdoor rooftop was amazing! The weather was super perfect so it was everything. I had the Gemini cocktail and it was good but too fruity for me but I couldn’t resist trying it since I am a Gem. My friends tried various small plates but the consensus was the short ribs and pepperoni flatbreads were the stars of the show. Courtney was our server and she was super sweet. We did experience some delay in receiving items since it was a pretty large group of us but overall, I would definitely return & recommend it!

This is an amazing restaurant/bar. The atmosphere has always been wonderful. It is right off of main Street in downtown Memphis. The service is great and the food even better. Last time we went we had the pretzel, mac and cheese, and flatbread pizza. It was all mouth watering good! It also offers outdoor seating for those beautiful nights to sit under the stars. Very good place for a date night! The drinks have always been good also!

Exciting new downtown bar. Just opened last week and already on top of there game. Our bar tender was Scott. I had the bourbon drink Law Dawg. We really enjoyed the comfortable atmosphere. They have a patio coming soon. From when we arrived at 5pm.till we left an hour later the place filled up but never felt crowded. Short walk to orpheum and Beale St. There were lots of menu items my wife and I wanted to try, but we already had dinner reservations. Decided on the watermelon salad and it was delicious. Can't wait to try some of the Knoxville late night selections. BarWare is a great addition to the bar restaurant scene downtown.

This place is amazing good vibe but the food isn't so good...they have random homeless people popping in and jus having a seat. I didn't like that...the drinks weren't very good. Over all I give this place a 5 out of 10

Overall, the menu was not very appealing. Food was average at best The specialty drink I ordered was subpar—especially considering all the added fees for a whiskey martina that tasted like juice. This will likely be my last visit to Barware. Not a good "hotspot" area for Downtown Memphis.

I had a wonderful meal here. The laid back atmosphere is helped by friendly staff who check on you even if they are not your server. The cocktail I had was strong,but not overbearing. The French dip was spectacular and you have to finish with a sundae.

I hated my experience! I used to love this place but it is not the same anymore. Bartender left us and the bar is unattended for 20 minutes for cigarettes break!

I visited Gus to try out their sides. I ordered fried okra, Mac n cheese, Cole slaw and fried green tomatoes and a slice of sweet potato pie. Pros: service was great. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I was initially told my order would take 15 minutes but it took less time than that and my food was piping hot when I received it. The pie was my favorite of all the dishes and the ranch dressing they served with the tomatoes and fried okra was excellent. Cons: Macaroni was expensive for the portion size. It was very small. It wasn’t my favorite. Cheesy but a lil too thick for me (my son liked it). The okra and tomatoes were not as enjoyable because they smelled and tasted like chicken or like it could have been cooked in chicken grease. I didn’t really taste the flavor of the tomato or the okra. I tasted mostly grease. Overall, my bill was a bit high for just sides…about 28.00. Overall, I would definitely recommend the pie and maybe even the coleslaw (although I enjoyed it more after adding the ranch dressing).

Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience. Definitely feel let down by the 6000 overwhelmingly positive reviews here. I get that some places are an institution, and perhaps Gus's used to be amazing. But the experience we had was awful. Service took forever, the food was overpriced and overcooked. And it was a terrible value. For example, a large order of fries was $8.50, and they were straight out of a frozen bag with a tiny bit of seasoning. Literally McDonald's fries are better, so there is no justification for the price. All of the chicken was also over cooked. So if you thought that fried chicken couldn't be dry, think again. At the end of the day, I would strongly not recommend.

We decided to try Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken for dinner, and it definitely lived up to the hype! I ordered the two-piece plate and swapped the baked beans and slaw for fried rice and potato salad — best decision ever. The chicken was crispy on the outside, super moist, and perfectly cooked — juicy with just the right amount of spice. The sides were flavorful and fresh, and the service was quick and friendly. A must-try if you’re visiting Memphis — this place truly earns its “world famous” title! 🍗🔥

Service was fantastic (Thanks to Shorty). We thought the chicken was good, baked beans very good. The mac and cheese and coleslaw were decent. The chocolate chess pie was good. The chicken wasn't our favorite, but it was very good and worth eating there for sure. You also get to keep your plastic cup and the iced tea was really good.

No trip to Memphis is complete without fried chicken from Gus's. The menu is simple, fried chicken, beans and cole slaw. Loved this place! Southern cooking and fabulous fried chicken. Very busy, small inside. The chicken was incredible fall of bone tender and the slaw and beans made the plate just right!!! 100% recommend!

Essentially this joint may have created some of the best fried chicken I have ever had anywhere in the United States, and after lots of recommendations from both locals and travelers, I can safely recommend it to others as well. The fact that they cook their fried chicken in peanut oil and still manage to maintain food taste and quality is quite impressive, especially considering many have not been able to replicate such. To start with, every piece of fried chicken, whether dark meat or white meat, was extremely juicy and flavorful, despite not the biggest in size. They do equip each table with a bottle of Louisiana hot sauce, which I ended up using for my chicken sandwich. Speaking of the chicken sandwich, it was an upgraded version of the Popeye's type for sure, and I am saying that as a Popeye's loyalist. It was impeccable. The fried green tomatoes were also very seasoned and maintained the right amount of crunchiness with the crust. Many of the sides ranging from the mac & cheese to the fried okra to the baked beans have been tasty in the most conventional sense as well, especially the fried okra, which was right on in terms of its crunch to softness ratio. The only relatively okay item was the greens, which was understandable since it's hard to cook greens in mass in a restaurant setting. It was a bit plain which might have been caused by the amount of juice it contained. The catfish sandwich tasted more like an upgraded version of filet-o-fish rather than containing actual catfish. The combination of the sauce and the fish (the way they cooked it along with the crust) was giving McDonald's quite a bit. I can see how it can turn some people off. I wasn't bothered by it, though. Regardless, for anyone visiting Memphis I would strongly recommend this establishment. Even among all the food options around the downtown area, especially barbeque, I stuck to fried chicken twice while in Memphis, which spoke to how good the food here was at Gus's.

The reviews of the food here are pretty accurate! The Fried Chicken is AMAZING! I’ve been on a mission throughout the East Coast and venues like Kiki’s (Columbia, SC ), Fowl Play (Gallatin, TN), Champ’s (Chattanooga, TN) have really stood out among the their peers! Gus’s really stands out too for their spicy fried chicken. I ordered the 3 piece white plate with fried rice and baked beans. The beans were outstanding but the rice was nothing to rave about. I actually made room for dessert and had the coconut pie a la mode and that was definitely a hit! My server was Whitney, and she was incredible! This is definitely a must visit if you’re in Memphis!

Traveling home to Pennsylvania and we had to stop in Memphis and visit Beale Street. Many eating options on Beale Street but we decided on the Silky O'Sullivan's. My son wanted the brisket, and I had the brisket sandwich. Very good service since they were just opening up for the day and getting ready for live music. Plenty of seating and good food and drink options. Paid parking close by. Enjoyed Silky O'Sullivan's on Beale Street.

If you’re visiting Beale Street in Memphis, Silky O’ Sullivan’s is an absolute must! We went during the day and had an incredible time listening to awesome live music. Buddy the great entertainer played all of our requests, which made it an extra fun and personal experience. The drinks were perfect for day drinking. I especially loved having coffee with spirits to keep the energy going. The staff was unbelievably friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in! I was surprised there was no cover charge, especially considering the quality of the entertainment. Prices were very reasonable, especially for a prime spot on Beale Street. They have live music going throughout the day and night, so no matter when you stop by, you’re guaranteed a great show! Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great music, friendly service, and an authentic Beale Street experience without breaking the bank!

We stopped during the day for a cocktail. We returned later for the Piano Bar. I have to admit the kindness from doorman during our day visit is what made us want to return. It was a BLAST!!! If you wanted to be part of the fun, they included you. If you wanted to sit back and enjoy the show, it was just as enjoyable. We didn't have any food, just cocktails and entertainment. The door man made sure we got to our Uber and was taken care of.

The atmosphere is always lively, the live music is great, and the cheese fries are absolutely awesome—crispy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. Perfect for sharing (or not!). We visited beale street as part of our memphis tour. It was 901 and labour day and was extremely busy. I spotted silkys as we walked down the street and made a beeline for it on the way back up. We were seated straight away. Service was great portion size was very good and price was reasonable. There was a musician setting up as we were leaving and the place was starting to fill up a bit. I imagine later in the day and in the evening it gets quite busy and somewhat louder

Good environment, great band tonight. We didn't eat here and the guy serving our area was inattentive so lower rating but a good big outdoor hangout and food looked decent. Fun place.

Cool old place. Lots to look at. When we walked in, the employee barely looked up from whatever she was doing and told us to seat ourselves. We were a group of four and we all ordered a drink and lunch. I ordered chili cheese fries and really enjoyed them. While were there, a guy came in to set up to play guitar. The bathroom was decent. Probably a really fun bar on weekends with live music.

We had reservations so we were seated immediately. We gave our drink order and later our food order at which time we were informed they were out of what my wife wanted. She ended up with a grilled cheese and she enjoyed it very much. I had the ribs and although they had excellent flavor, they were very dry. The ribs were on a pile of fries and they were great. My friend had Brussels sprouts that she said were mushy. Service while we were there wasn’t great, we went a while between being checked on. Atmosphere was pleasant.

Walked in, straight to table. Olde Renovated Cinema, very tastefully re-developed. Server took order, lovely starter, Main course served before we finished starter! Accompanying course forgotten! Dessert excellent! Need to organise their service in line with the customer, NOT the Staff.

My husband and I went for date night and had the best time. Hector was absolutely amazing especially when he made me blue cheese stuffed olives for my extra dirty martini! The food was delicious and the vibes were right for a random date night!

Beautiful and spacious place to dine. My favorite dish was the garlic mashed potatoes. Each of us ordered different dishes. I really did not like the coleslaw because it wasn’t creamy, and the flatbread chicken pizza was bland. The photos look great though.

I had such a wonderful experience at The Majestic Grille! I ordered the steak with garlic mashed potatoes—both were cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed two lemon drops, which were amazing. The atmosphere is stunning and unique, with the feel of an old theatre that makes the whole dining experience even more special. Definitely a place I’d recommend for a memorable night out!

I can't tell you how many times I've walked past from this place and never knew of the hidden gems inside. First off, the interior looks incredible, almost out of a black and white movie. The giant movie screen playing old hits may also add to my comparison 😅. We ordered flatbreads and may I say they tasted delicious with the perfect amount of sauce. I would reccomend her for a date spot easily.

Fun, energetic atmosphere! Kinda loud in the band/stage area but that's to be expected. We sat outside if it in a covered area with a street view of the Friday night action. Really good food! I had the jumbo shrimp PO boy sandwich on fresh French bread with yummy fries. My boyfriend had a Cajun type pasta that he absolutely loved!

We drove 325 miles to see a show (Edwin McCain) The show was fabulous! He was every bit as good as when we saw him 25 years ago. We will not wait so long to see him again. The food was fantastic. We shared an order of stuffed mushrooms and a pizza. We had a great time. The wait staff was phenomenal. We will be back!

I usually freakquent there but I only had one beer and as usual the service was awesome kind of pricey. The atmosphere is very pleasant with a New Orleans vibe. The band was awesome. Joe Restivo and the guys are always great.

Good music, good food, good service! I especially recommend Sunday brunch. I ordered the "Chicken Biscuit Benedict;" the eggs came out perfectly poached, the chicken was crispy with a bit of a spicy kick, and the biscuit was a better than average version in a town that KNOWS its biscuits! All the while, an excellent jazz band played their renditions of the old classics. Now, be aware that the atmosphere is that of a well used music venue; comfortable but not fancy or delicate. I didn't see any Sunday dresses or lacy hats. 😁 There's also a full patio bar which opens into the main room, and some of the "regulars" were a bit boisterous (in friendly way, not "obnoxious," but it can be a little loud. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience. After all, what else you gonna do early afternoon on a Sunday in Memphis?

10/23/2025 Reserved a table for 16 with an additional 5 ppl showed up. We had a waitress name V. It was her first night working there and she did an excellent job taking care of us. Thank you again V. Will definitely be back!!

I went here for lunch and the food and service was so great that I went back the next day. Abby, the hostess was very nice and helpful with menu. Today Jennifer was my server and she was so friendly and attentive. They have a live music each evening starting at 6pm. This place is super nice and very spacious; out door seating and 2nd floor. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is delicious. Definitely plan to visit again when in town. I highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

The Second Line was pretty good for brunch. I was dissapointed in the limited menu though, I should have gone later for some of the menu items I saw online and wanted to try. We had one bloody mary, one tea, wings as an appetizer, a fried shrimp poboy and a fried oyster poboy. The bill was around $72 before adding the tip. Our server was really nice, no complaints with service! They were working on the store so it was a little confusing to find the entrance. We had reservations for the patio and it was perfect outside, just lots of flies buzzing about. I'd go back, but I think there are so many awesome options in Memphis it may not be anytime soon.

A fun authentic place with an active bar scene, even in the middle of the afternoon, with authentic Southern food. I was there on a Saturday afternoon in August and was impressed that locals were hanging out at the bar in addition to a sizable crowd of restaurant patrons. I was part of large group of people of all ages, and everyone seemed to enjoy their food. As a visitor to the area, I was delighted to have classic Southern food such as fried gulf oysters and fried catfish sandwiches as options. Parking was difficult which is to be somewhat expected as the place in Midtown Memphis, and while I eventually found parking on a side street, the neighborhood has parking restricted to residents only on several areas.

Great spot for Po Boys in Memphis. Great selection of sandwiches and drinks/beer, fun setting and very good staff. Well worth the visit. Went for the muffaletta - but would probably go for the friend oyster next time!

Yesterday was my first time at Second line and they didn’t disappoint. Lock was awesome (and it was only his 2nd day!) and Sophie was super helpful. I was so full I didn’t get to order the bread pudding, but that’s okay. I’ll definitely be back for it! Pictured: etouffée, New York strip with crawfish Mac and cheese, drinks were “when the levee breaks” i think. (They were similar to a hurricane)

The destination was supposed to be New Orleans, but it was nowhere close to Cancun food. The meal was served at room temperature, considering the lengthy wait time, despite being one of only three patrons. The floor was sticky to walk on. The server was satisfactory, and the straws were already in the beverages; however, I prefer to open and place my own straw. Workers entered without a greeting. We will not be returning.

My husband and I came to brunch for my birthday today and it was amazing! Our server was Jo and she did a fantastic job! She was super sweet and attentive. The food was also superb. Seriously the best shrimp and grits I have ever had!

I really had a great time. They have a real bartender, all the drinks was the bomb 💣, Food was delicious 🤤 and the music was great. People they wasn't afraid to talk to each other 🤗. My friend and I had a great time. I do plan to go back soon.

I’m really disappointed with my experience at Bayou Memphis. Someone in our party ordered the pasta and it was honestly inedible — the flavor and texture were terrible. When we politely brought it to the manager’s attention, we were told they have a “new policy” and they refused to replace or refund it. For a restaurant that prides itself on Southern hospitality, this was such a letdown. Poor customer service and even worse food — won’t be returning.

Visited this place for lunch during a trip to Memphis. The menu has a variety of Louisiana-inspired fare. I ordered the raw oysters as an appetizer and they tasted fresh and as good as any oysters I have had in the past. I ordered the catfish po boy as my entree. The piece of catfish was huge on the sandwich but unfortunately it had a muddy taste that's often associated with larger cuts of catfish. The other patrons were a little loose and swearing very loudly and I noticed the wait staff seemed frustrated, at least during my visit. Overall it was not horrible but I don't think it would be my first choice when selecting an eatery.

Nice place, yummy food. We ordered bacon wrapped shrimp, a burger, gumbo and beignets with dipping sauces. Aunt Patty was our waitress and she was excellent.

I really wanted to like this place, but our visit was disappointing. The pasta was awful — truly not edible — and when we tried to talk to the manager, we were told they don’t refund or remake orders anymore. That policy makes zero sense for a restaurant that wants repeat customers. Sadly, we won’t be back.

Everything tastes like SYSCO made it. Red beans watery and undercooked. The pic below is supposed to be mashed potatoes. Decent drinks though. I'll never return.

Sunrise Memphis is such a lively breakfast and lunch spot that both locals and tourists love. The energy inside is contagious. You walk in, hop in line to order, and then find a seat while the friendly staff, all smiles and full of energy, make the experience even better. Their biscuit sandwich menu is fantastic. I had The Bird and my daughter went with The Usual. The chicken in my biscuit was honestly the crispiest, lightest, most delicious bite I’ve ever had. I’d go back just to order that chicken again and again. The Tabasco honey glaze was to die for, perfectly balancing flavor and heat. The biscuit itself was creamy, fluffy, and full of flavor, and those pickles that came with it? I could have eaten a whole jar. On top of all that, they have a charming Bloody Mary bar with vodka marinating in different flavors. This place is absolutely worth the stop for a breakfast or lunch you won’t forget.

Absolutely enjoyed breakfast here! Even our kiddos enjoyed it. Staff was so great, before we even began ordering they worked on getting us seating for our large group of 14. Our orders were all correct didn’t even take long to get our food.

I had the Kitchen Sink (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, grits, and their signature Sunrise Biscuit) and every bite was flavorful and perfectly portioned. The biscuit alone is worth the trip! The ordering process is easy—place your order at the counter, grab a seat inside or on the patio, and help yourself to coffee or drinks. The food came out incredibly fast and was cooked to perfection, which really stood out. The vibe is casual, welcoming, and perfect for starting the day. Sunrise Memphis is a great spot for a delicious breakfast and a fun, lively atmosphere. My husband ordered the crawfish and grits while I had scrambled eggs with plant based sausage, hash browns, toast, tomato, and avocado. He enjoyed an Irish coffee and I had a refreshing cranberry mimosa. The food and service were both amazing. The host, a man in a wig, kept the crowd entertained while we waited, which was definitely a memorable touch. The line moved fairly quickly, and the process is simple: you order at the counter, grab a table number, and your food is brought to you. You’ll need to grab your own water and cutlery, but the overall experience is smooth. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and I will definitely be back for the food.

The atmosphere and service were great. The biscuits with strawberry rhubarb jam were very good. The cheese grits were tasty too. Unfortunately, my omelet was way too salty but, maybe that was my fault for potentially not seeing if it said country ham, which is salty.

If you’re in Memphis you have to try this place. There are plenty of options on the menu and ordering is very simple. The staff is really nice and welcoming. The food is fantastic. I ordered the Patty melt and my wife has the kitchen sink breakfast.

Our first visit to this establishment was presently surprised. The wife had the beef eater, and l the Blue Monkey burger. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious.

Me and my former coworker met here for dinner the other night. We were seated right away, they weren't extremely busy. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich Don had the sausage & cheese platter. Everything was great including the waitress I highly recommend this location

Customer service was friendly and inviting. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations! Let me start by saying that the star of the show was the Philly Po boy! It was so juicy that I did not necessarily need to dip it into the Au jus sauce. You can see from the photos the juices definitely dripped onto my plate. The bun was not soggy but perfectly soaked with the juices from the meat. CHEF’S KISS! Now for the ok news. The green beans were not really seasoned. The Mac and Cheese was a no go! Another customer in the parking lot recommended the buffalo egg rolls. They were pretty good. Fully stuffed with chicken. The cheese sticks were very mid. Looked and tasted like cheese sticks were from your local grocery store freezer. Could’ve bought my own and heated it up in my own microwave at home. The hamburger steak was delicious! It had a charbroiled flavor throughout the meat! Giving it a good flavor with the gravy. We also had the mashed potatoes which were average. My daughter had the grilled chicken which was very flavorful and tender. Over all we will return but maybe to try something different. The next time I will try the chicken club sandwich on a croissant.

Overall, the food was fresh and brought out promptly. The Philly cheesesteak didn’t have much flavor and the additional seasoning on the fries took away from the taste. The flavor of the mushrooms were not to my liking so I probably won’t order it again if I return. The catfish tasted great, but the breading could be more flavorful overall. The tartar sauce was terrible, but the coleslaw tasted decent. The mashed potatoes were the best part of the entire order surprisingly. I probably won't return because overall the food and environment was mediocre. Meh experience and there is better priced food and better tasting food in the area .🤷🏽‍♂️

Everything I've had here is good! Get the pot roast on Fridays, you won't regret it! Them Hotwing egg rolls... twice baked potatoes.... whew yes! Just go & try something.... You will not regret it. The ONLY thing I didn't like is there are no dividers on the Togo plates... I hate my different foods to touch!!!!

After seeing the great reviews, we decided to give this place a try, and it did not disappoint! The food here is absolutely delicious. The burger was incredibly tasty and cooked to perfection, while the tacos were full of flavor. The Brussels sprouts were a delightful surprise, and the mac and cheese was also quite good. Overall, I would definitely eat here again!

My husband and I chose to celebrate our anniversary at Brookhaven Pub and Grill, but unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, we seated ourselves and waited for a considerable time before a waitress appeared. She apologized and explained that she was working the entire place by herself, which was a clear sign of an understaffed and poorly managed establishment. We decided to order several dishes to sample the menu. After a 30-minute wait, the food finally arrived. While the presentation was visually appealing, the food was colder than penguin poo and completely unseasoned. The pulled pork was ice cold, and the chicken wings, while slightly warm, had no flavor at all. The burger was dry and bland, tasting like cardboard. The mac and cheese seemed to be a frozen, pre-made dish that was watery and tasteless. Despite the high prices, the quality was comparable to a low-end fast-food joint, and even then, McDonald's seasons their food better. We ended up returning full plates and leaving hungry, having spent hard earned money on uneatable food. We will never be returning to this pub. While the food was a complete failure, our waitress was kind and overworked, which was not her fault. The management is clearly to blame for the lack of seasoning, cold food, and poor staffing.

Had to pay 5 dollars to enter. Which wasn't bad! I loved the atmosphere! & our wonderful waitress megan (I think that was her name)! She was lovely and friendly! The drinks that were made were delicious! However the mac & cheese lacked flavor. Everything else was delicious & relaxing! Will definitely be back.

It's exactly what you want from a kind of dive bar / sports bar, in the parking lot of a business park and a hotel. It's loud on a Saturday night, it's busy, has a good selection of taps and when you sit at the bar you get pretty fast service. I don't recommended table service on a Friday or Saturday. You'll be very thirsty quickly. Other than that, I always have a good time when I'm here.

Service was super slow. I waited 10 minutes after being seated just for someone to acknowledge me. Ordered lunch and waited another 30 minutes for a cheeseburger...the food? Just meh...nothing special. Burger was dry.

This is a typical whole in the wall experience. Right on the Beale street, go upstairs. And the bartender will greet you. She knows her job. Personally I’m not a big fan of absinthe. They are pretty strong for me. But I liked the environment. It’s cool. It seems to be an old household, feels Erie. The walls are with retro film posters. There are many pool tables. Altogether it has a hip vibe. I highly recommend the place.

The bartender was great! Always a nice private experience if you want, for a small bar it feels EXTRA roomy. Not to mention tons of choices for drinks, especially the Absinthe prepared traditionally.

Eclectic divy place with pool tables, comfy couches, and mostly young professionals. The $2 cover keeps the riff raff away and makes for a chill haven amongst the Beale craziness. If you haven’t had a legit absinthe drink, this is a great place to try one!

I went to The Silly Goose Bar in Memphis and was very disappointed. The drink I ordered — a Jameson and Sprite — was completely watered down and not worth the price. Honestly, I could have stayed home and poured water in a glass and had a better experience. To make matters worse, the bartender was rude and acted like serving me was an inconvenience. For the money they charge, the service and drinks should be far better. This place is not worth it, and I won’t be returning. Memphis has too many other spots where you can actually get what you pay for.

This place was so beautiful! And the cocktails were pretty yummy - honestly I think the presentation of the drinks could have been a tad more beautiful but I have high expectations 😇 the bartender was nice and attentive and the vibe was classy and fun. I didn’t get to try the food but it also looked good (pizzas and apps but nice looking). Overall I def recommend esp if you’re looking for some respite from Beale street.

Great place during both day and night! Atmosphere is great, staff and owners are amazing, food is delicious! They just added morning service with best Italian style coffee in town- it’s just a great spot for any time of day and location is super convenient!

Drinks were solid, leaning on the sweet side for all of them but they did have a nice range of liquor. Interior decor is a bit tacky but they’ve put effort in and the bathroom was clean! We had a nice time and enjoyed cocktails and a margarita pizza.

Stay away from the black mold infestation, high food prices, and price gouging alcohol prices! HIGHLY RECOMMEND NIKOS for your friendly neighborhood bar! We discovered Hernando's on a trip to Memphis to catch some music in 2019. Caring and enthusiastic people that cater to the music lover , like us. Great history there too. Not fancy, but a diamond in the rough. Great bar food and my wife would always recommend a pickle shot vodka !

It has been over 20 years since I habe been in here. Mr. Kenny still had it. I came in on singer song writers night. And singer started in on Mississippi. But cool. They really fixed the place up.

What a cool place! We've been visiting Hernandos Hideaway for a few years now. We've seen some great bands here, and always enjoy hanging out with friends & enjoying some good food, good drinks, and good music! Hernandos Hideaway has so much music history, from Elvis, to Johnny Cash, to Charlie Rich, and so many others. Man if those walls could talk, think of all the stories they could tell! You gotta get down to Hernandos!

Love this place! Great atmosphere, good music! Food is down home comfort food. The don’t serve pizza and no smoking inside allowed. The owners are super cool and attentive. A slice of history hugs the venue, almost feels like stepping back in time to the good ol’ days. Highly recommend to anyone

Great concept. The food is okay too. We tried a few pizza pies and the wings, they all were pretty good. We're not beer drinkers, but they certainly have many flavors and we'll return with some beer drinker friends when we want to just hang out. The building is cool and the decor gives good vibes. I'd recommend a try for sure.

A mighty fine brewery with cool staff and good beers. The establishment itself and its surrounding areas are like night and day. I made it out to this brewery on foot, and the path there was quite trashy, literally. The billboard right before the brewery was a bit off putting, and there were lots of anti-law enforcement tags on nearby buildings.

The space itself is great. It’s huge and has a nice Biergarten setup outside. I showed up like 2 minutes after kitchen closed and they allowed me to get a few slices of pizza, which was critical as I had just spent all day driving across country. The pizza was solid - especially the one with ricotta and honey. I felt like I was annoying whoever I spoke to, not a super warm vibe. I’m a tough grader. The beers I had were all solid but I didn’t have anything remarkable. I may have given 5* anyways because the space is so good, but I needed a little more

We just moved to Memphis and 10/10 recommend Wise Acre! Beth served us and took time to make sure we got exactly what we wanted. I absolutely love the attention to detail here, plus the beers are awesome! I ordered “The Beach Within Reach” and my husband got “Memphis Sands.” Both are incredible. We can’t wait to come back!

Enormous space that lends itself to be perfect for large groups and even Saturday morning fitness classes. Little Bettie’s Pizza is my absolute favorite pizza in town! Hands down, no close second. And yes, of course the beer is fantastic. You can’t go wrong with a Tiny Bomb or Sky Dog

Hidden Gem of downtown Memphis. I almost don't want to to tell ya'll how good it is cause I know it will blow up! The steak is perfect. Smash burgers have more burger than bun. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. Truffle fries?! The cocktails are good too. Reasonably priced. Brie offers exceptional service and recommendations.

Glad we chose this place for dinner and drinks. Great spicy margarita. Small but well executed food menu that caters for vegetarians too. Space has a lovely open feel, good music (not too loud) and staff friendly. Take note, entrance is on Barboro Alley NOT Union St - where Google maps will take you. This was a bit confusing and we nearly decided to go somewhere else trying to find it.

A hole-in-the-wall alley tavern that's easy to miss unless you're looking for it, with a remarkable collection of spirits and a very pleasant atmosphere! I don't like drinking without food, and so I ordered an Old Ezra with some crawfish hush puppies as my supper, and while it's nothing to write home about, it hit the spot. All in all, great way to bring the buddies after work!

A real nice chill spot. The bartender was very knowledgeable and picked out perfect drinks for us. The couches and TV were great for the atmosphere. The only complaint was the smell from the hot garbage outside.
