It was fine. Went for Trivia Night which was lots of fun. The food was decent - no complaints, but nothing to write home about. Overall atmosphere was good, but our waitress didn't seem to want to serve our table, maybe because we were a large group....but still no excuse.

Looking for a chipper & a couple Guinness, you found the place. Nice staff and doing great before a hockey game at Tsongas on a Saturday afternoon. Talking to a couple folks who go there often they all love it. Later College crowd, so if that energy is good you are in the right place.

Bean and Meegan have had my heart since I moved to Lowell. Always the go to for a good time, good drink, good laugh. 🔝

The bartender was extremely rude , we were being patient considering how busy it was . A new bartender came on and was rude as well. We were skipped several times , we sat patiently and quietly for a span of 20 minutes. Once we noticed we were being skipped we made the bartender aware we were being skipped and she became very combative. It was over a terrible experience and I will not be back .

Totally recommended! Great place to hang out with friends! Went to eat and drink and the food and drinks me and my friends tried were delicious! Our server Megan was awesome, she went above and beyond in both of my visits. 💙💙💙

Great place, clean, friendly atmosphere, wonderful service. Glad I went in. First time there. Tried the basket Parmesan -Herb fries and had some drinks with hubby. Will definitely be back soon!

The Old Court has always been a great place to visit and I've been a patron for 20 years. I don't go quite as often, but when I lived in Lowell from 2007-2013, I went often. What I kiss the most was their Sunday brunch. Killer corned beef hash. I went a couple weeks ago for a few pints and to this day, one of the best and proper pours of Guiness in the area. Also enjoyed a gigantic Turkey Club and sweet potato fries. Go and have a good time at The Ood Court.

Stars didn't align for this visit. Hostess was friendly. Reservation seated immediately for a party of 8. Server was pleasant. The decor had a industrial Victorian charm. Downhill slide from there. Server tried to be attentive but seemed spread thin. Time between water, drink order, appetizer order, food order, and eventual food service was almost 90 minutes. Server had one mode, "creepy smile", regardless of request, comment, or complaint as if suspending disbelief to get through the day. The kitchen must have been in a tailspin. Main dishes were delivered in 3 waves, 1 entre, then 6, then 1, presumably forgotten because it was so late. The Texas Tips, all 2 of them, were served warm and would more appropriately be called the Rhode Island Tips given their size. The KISS local greens salad with grilled chicken was missing.... (dramatic pause)... the chicken, and the chickpeas, but included surprise bonus couscous which wasn't listed on the menu. The highlight would have been the Hot-honey Fried Chicken sandwich had it been hot-honey and the lettuce wasn't wilted like a wet napkin. The fries were ok though. The eggs looked like slop from powder and wouldn't have been served at Army boot camp. Credit to management for eventually paying the table a visit to ensure me the $8 side of four bacon strips with the hair would be taken off the bill. Though complimentary desserts were offered, we weren't ready to risk it. Management did explain the staff was new, including the kitchen was still getting sorted out whom they brought over from the sister restaurant that just went under. What!? That line of thinking may benefit from reevaluation. Give them a try, your mileage may vary.

Stopped in here had a burger it was Good. Not the best ive had but definitely not the worst. The chips are good also. I'll try something different next time

My family and I went there a Sunday night. Wasn't too busy there. Our server, Nina, was very nice, she knew just exactly how to do her job! Food was delicious and the dessert was even better. My kids loved their food and ate their whole plate. Price was about right. I ordered Salmon and it was the best, my husband ordered the fried rice and he loved it too. We will certainly go back there again!

Come to Cobblestones often. All the bartenders are terrific. Alyssa specifically has always been great to my friends and I as I come in! Great service every time, great food and fair prices. Eat here!!

Cobblestones was recommended to me by my friend Stephanie. I’ve never taken a restaurant recommendation from her before, so I wasn’t sure if I was about to discover a hidden gem or just end up with one less friend. Turns out…Stephanie nailed it. The restaurant is tucked into what looks like an old mill building, which already gave it character before we even walked in. Parking was easy, we were greeted right away by a friendly host who gave us the choice of inside, bar, or outside seating. We picked outside and even got a mini history lesson about the building from him (we asked), bonus points for hospitality. Our server was quick to welcome us, grab our drinks, and came back with water, and two adult beverages. Another server popped by to ask about an appetizer order, so we went ahead and ordered the crispy honey hot cauliflower. When our first server returned, she confirmed our appetizer order, telling us that she and the other server are a team. The cauliflower did not disappoint, it was crispy, sweet, spicy, and just the kind of app you have to fight over to see who gets the last piece. For dinner, my wife went with the Crispy Szechuan eggplant and tofu, while I ordered the eggplant parmesan. Both dishes had tons of flavor and were perfectly cooked, the pasta that accompanied the eggplant was clearly homemade. These were the kind of meals that make you start planning your “next time” before you’ve even finished “this time”. The vibe outside was great; relaxed, fun, and just lively enough to feel like you’re part of something without having to shout across the table. The people were friendly, the food was excellent, and the drinks were ice-cold.

Very old and very cool local bar. Food is good. Had a BLT and it was very smoky and delicious. The drinks are very reasonable and the staff is great. The decor is nice and comfortable. Everything was good except the so called buffalo onion rings...not buffalo. Keno is always a plus!

Stopped in for a hamburger and beer. Bar tender April made you feel welcome. Parking is easy with their own parking lot right across the street.

Been going to the Worthen for many, many years. My wife and I usually do lunch on a Saturday afternoon, but occasionally meet a couple of old friends for drinks and sometimes close the place out. This place is a hole in the wall dive bar, a real local watering hole with a side kitchen that serves pretty good pub type food. The staff have been great, attentive, friendly and the food is usually pretty solid. I've never had a bad burger here, my wife is a fan of the panini's. The kitchen is being run by a new chef who changed the menu up a little, so a couple of my go to burgers went away. BUT he added bourbon glazed steak tips which have become a go to for me now. I usually order my tips a step below how I like them and they come ut how I like them. Generous portions and decent prices. Overall, we've never really had a bad meal here, and the food is priced well. They have a decent selection of domestic beers and a few local craft beers. Fair selection of bourbon and whiskey which are my go to for a night out with a buddy or two.

What a beautiful night Penny and her crew hosted last night for the Lowell performing arts center at Smith Baker. Elevated flavorful food coming out of that tiny kitchen by Chris and his team , was blown away impressed. The bartenders on point and attentive to every need. Cool atmosphere! I really like coming here with my friends to kick back and relax. Drinks are a little pricey (imo - but college kids like me are always broke, so take my opinion with a grain of salt). Hostesses have always been super kind and the wait time for drinks isn't too long. Food is pretty good, too! Will definitely come back, the Worthen has been a fun place to hangout.

Worthen House Cafe is one of our fav spot for drinks and food. It is a neighborhood bar with a distinctive decoration. What do I like about it? I love the pulley ceiling fans, its history as a bar since 1898 and during prohibition and also a fav handout of Jack Karouac. We like to play Keno and have a couple of drinks. Their drinks are very reasonable and their food is outstanding. Their staff is attentive and friendly. They will be featured in the American Best Restaurant TV program.

The Worthen is the best place in Lowell, in fact maybe the only cool place in Lowell, it's the most legit, with tons of charm and heart, and April the bartender is the best.

A cute spot in downtown Lowell, I got a bunch of takeout, burrito, tacos, chimichangas all are very flavorful. The staff was kind and helpful food came out pretty fast. Very filling portion sizes, definitely will be back soon

Overall, I will definitely return for more. The food and drink are on point. BF said his steak burrito and strawberry smoothie are good. My fried tilapia is scrumptious. I asked for no french fries for my fried fish so the staff gave me more rice. The house margarita was good. The shrimp ceviche was tasty as well. Once order was placed, the food came out quickly. Facility is clean and nice decorations! Kinda of remind me of Old Town San Diego.

I’ve been coming to El Potro for years, and the food and drinks are always consistently great. The complimentary chips and salsa are a perfect start to every meal. They recently expanded into the space next door, adding a large new bar, TouchTunes, and multiple TVs, which really enhance the atmosphere. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and on point. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a nice, refreshing frozen margarita—you won’t be disappointed!

Very nice inside. Great service. I got the nachos, wasn’t expecting them to be a bit soggy. I usually get stacked nachos, but the these were individual chip nachos. Drinks were great though.

Visited them for the first time, had ordered veggie fajitas and veggie enchiladas. Both were really awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful. Liked the ambiance. Would definitely visit again. Salsa could have been better but nachos were nice n warm. Thanks for nice food.

Visited El Potro with friends recently. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Food is really good. I really liked our server however I think she got really busy because we had a couple of forgotten things like reorder drinks and our tortillas. Overall, we enjoyed our visit and will try again.

Decided to give this cute, brightly decorated restaurant a try - wow, I'm glad we did! This place is super cute and very festive! The waitstaff was great - thank you to Melvin for the wonderful service! The food is flavorful and fresh! I ordered the trio fajita and it was superb! The plates are plentiful! We will definitely be back and I would definitely recommend!

You can have the classic dish of Carne Alentejana ($16.95) at @friendsrestaurantlowell. "Marinated cubed pork with littleneck clams in a zesty white wine sauce, served over cubed potatoes with rice." Or you can have the "A Chefe" version for $21.95 that adds scallops (1 large) and shrimp (3). Not sure if this was worth the extra $5. There were three whole clams, so it wasn't exactly an abundance of them. The potatoes were cooked perfectly and then lightly fried. The pork was tasty and tender. The gravy was fantastic, well seasoned, and really delicious. It was plenty of sauce, and that makes me happy. The white rice was unremarkable and cold. Second photo is Bifes De Porco Amigos ($17.95). "Fried pork steaks, flavored with garlic and white wine. served with fried potatoes and rice." All the other pork dishes said pork loin, so I'm not sure why they called them pork steaks? This was pork loin as well. The rice was warm today, and the potatoes were just lightly fried. Three good-sized slices of tender pork in an excellent sauce. I think this was just about the same sauce that I got with my previous meal. It was coldish outside, and it was coldish inside as well.

This is a good place. The bar is separate from the dining area which makes for a nice experience. The food was good and reasonably priced. Went on a Friday night, it was busy but not overcrowded. The drinks, appetizers and food came out pretty quickly. Out waitress was wonderful and very friendly. Would definitely recommend trying friends restaurant!

Can't beat the atmosphere, it's really like being at your family's house for dinner. Indoor seating, but also a nice patio in the back that is lit up beautifully at night. A great place for dinner, but also nice to come for a few drinks, or an espresso as well. For the later crowd there is a pool table, and juke box, that you're able to use after the dining room is closed. My favorite dish here is the Chicken & Shrimp Alentejana; the sauce is amazing! I also highly recommend the espresso martini! I've brought guests from out of town here a few times and they still rave about the food.

Great portuguese food in a cozy and friendly restaurant. They have a menu with a big variety from octopus to the tradition steak with french fries ( Portuguese style ). Totally recommend it

We just tried this place for the first time and loved it! The food is inexpensive but so delicious. I can't speak to authenticity because I've never had Portuguese food before, but it was really tasty. We got the linguica for an app which was a flaming spicy kielbasa. It was wondeful! We highly recommend.

Went there on a Friday night and the food as well as the service were exceptional. Prices are moderate. I can recommend the Kale soup and the Galinha Alentejana as well as the Carne Alentejana. We will be back.

You must try the flaming linguica app! For a meal I had to go with old faithful... Carne Alentejana (marinated pork cubes with little neck clams in a white wine sauce... over cubed fried potatoes and rice). Never left hungry so far!

Was super hungry and found this spot in downtown lowell.. its in kind of a sketch area but not horrible. The waiter was super nice and helpful until I got my food. Sat for quite a bit without anyone checking in. The menu definitely is unique with various options. Was a little surprised a side of curry sauce cost $3. I had the smash burger with bacon and it was pretty good. You could tell regulars frequented there and had a good time.

Went for brunch on Saturday and the food was great. Limited menu but we got the burger and chai French toast and both were super tasty. Servers were super nice as well. Definitely will be back!

Had a great experience at the keep the other night. Great service from start to end. Well balanced cocktails on the menu and in addition the bartender was able to make me a great drink just based off of what I was asking for. The wings are some of the best wings I’ve had. The steak frites was cooked to a perfect medium rare, as you can see in the photo I posted. Can’t wait to visit again soon

We chose this restaurant after seeing a Phantom Gourmet video that made this place seem great. Unfortunately the restaurant seemed like it had gone downhill significantly since the time that video was made. When we arrived we sat at the bar. There were 4-5 employees behind the bar, but still the service managed to be extremely slow. They were out of all of the dishes we’d been excited to try, but we found other meals we were excited to try. Unfortunately the food was not great. I ordered a grilled cheese and shrimp bisque. The grilled cheese was fine, but the bisque was atrocious. They didn’t remove the shrimp shells before blending the soup so instead of being smooth, I kept having to pick chunks of shrimp shells out of my mouth. I love soup, bisques in particular, so it was really disappointing to be served something like that.

I would have given this 5 stars if the chips on my last visit were not overcooked. The chip dip might have been overcooked as well but it still tasted so good. The wings were so crispy and very well cooked and seasoned. The chicken dip is my most favorite wing dip in New England. I also tried their house salad and it was very fresh and filling. I like that they have a very simple menu with can be enjoyed by everyone.

Great local date night spot in Lowell. We felt the drink alone merit a trip back. The food was great: good portions and it was seasoned well. We also got the vegetable tartine as well which was a nice light appetizer.

Had a lovely meal here on a quiet Tuesday evening! The bar tender was very nice and made very respectable cocktails for the price. For a meal we had the pork belly sliders, steak frites, and the caesar salad. The sliders were the perfect balance of chewy and crunchy with the mustard giving the perfect bite that the dish needed. The steak was a perfect medium rare, and the fries were clearly homemade. The caesar salad was a little heavy on the dressing, but the homemade croutons keep the rating at 5 stars. For drinks I got the Gin Martini with the Emperess gin and the peach Cosmopolitan. I strongly reccommend both. For dress, you would not be out of place wearing dress pants and a nice shirt (men). Women that I saw were in dark jeans and a nice top. Probably not a place for tshirts. Loved the atmosphere and had a great time for a reasonable price!!

Absolutely terrible. I went outside for three minutes after having a lot of drink and food and got randomly pressed by someone who didnt even look like they worked there about my age when I tried to go back inside. Both him and the employee behind the counter rejected my valid ID even though they accepted before. I had a lot of drink and food beforehand with my friend. Then they acted like I was making a scene when I wasnt only because I wrote $0 for tip on the receipt after getting essentially kicked out. Forced to pay my tab and get out as well as I got accused of saying "something", when I said nothing?? I feel like I got racially profiled. Dont go here if you arent white. They will kick you out for any reason.

Arcade games, photo booth, great and affordable menu available till 9pm. Bar staff is friendly and attentive as long as you're polite. The owner is kind but no nonsense and her dog and the cutest thing I've ever seen. Solid bar if you have good manners, prices are cheap!

The kitchen was closed, but hospitality was beyond expected. Sianna our host was catering and very kind.I'm quite enthusiastic to have us there... definitely, a warm, cozy place. Now I just gotta go when it's busy and check it out. It looked like they had bands too bet they're good♡

I am never coming back here. They kicked us out after 3 hours of being there because they claimed my friend was a minor despite us both having a valid ID and having a tab open for over 2½ hours. One of the bartenders even gave my friend a massive attitude for geniunely no good reason.

Great place We went there two nights in a row, Night # 1: We had the classic cheddar hamburger and their TRUE homemade fries (awesome choice). Night # 2: Thirsty First signature bowl, fired chicken, mashed potatoes, .... (MUST TRY)

Definitely a hidden treasure! Super clean quick-service spot. Their steak tip dinner was absolutely amazing – both the flavor and the presentation. I believe it’s under new ownership, and you can tell they care. The bartender (wish I remembered her name) was awesome, and the drinks were just as impressive. Very friendly atmosphere all around!

A nice little bistro in the heart of Lowell. The food is fantastic, and the beers on tap are great! They have an outside dog friendly patio! Absolutely a worth a try.

Quaint place with nice outdoor seating in the shade. Waitress was personable and was helpful. There are a good amount of drink options. Ordered a margarita an it was delish. Food menu was mainly burgers with nice lunch specials. I had a half salad for an app and a burger with fried jalapeños served with fries as my main dish. The burger could've used a but more flavor or zest but the dips helped. The salad was good. Was a great lowkey spot to enjoy the weather.

Great food: A few of us got the steak tips - we all thought they were some of the best we ever had. Cole slaw was very good - fries were very good as well. Fish and chips was also great - it was a large portion of fish. Home made tarter sauce was very good. Caesar salad with chicken was ok, surprised the chicken was cold. If the food was so outstanding why only 4 stars? The service was not great. Table did not have silverware, so when food arrived, we could not eat it. Asked for silverware, never came, we had to go get it ourselves. Asked for ketchup (none was on the table) for our fries, and it never came. Not sure if it was the wait staffs issue, as the place looked under staffed. There were only 2 for the entire restaurant + serve the bar (there was both inside and outside seating to cover) and were busy due to a concert that night at the boarding house park

I love Fuse!!! I loved it before the new ownership, and now it's even better! Tuesday night free comedy, and now live music on weekends. Food is better than ever!

When we walked in there were locals at the bar, but the dining room was empty. While this was cause for concern, we stayed and we were glad we did. My girlfriend loved her steak and cheese style sandwich. I'd come back for just the sweet potato fries alone. I ordered the tuna tacos and was disappointed, especially since it read so damn good on the menu. All the toppings didn't marry into anything flavorful and the tuna itself was lost under all of it. It's pricier than it should be and while I'd be willing to try something else from here, it'll be awhile before we return for this reason.

Great food and beer. Excellent service. I got the smoked Wings. Totally delicious. Slow smoked for 4+ hours I'm told. Limited craft beer available, but I tried the True North Hazy IPA Season of the Witch. It was also delicious, a Double IPA. Sahiana, the bartender, was superb. I'll have her wait on me any time.

This bar b q joint was pretty good. Everything was steaming hot and tasty. What was good is that nothing was overpowering. The amount of bar b q sauce was just right. Not the best bar b q I've had but it sure was not the worse! First visit was in April hence the Easter themed flight of drinks. Pretty good. No pic of the ribs but there were tasty too. Recommend!

A shrine to tasty meats! They make several sauces: hot, Carolina gold, house, and sweet pineapple. We liked the hot and house best. We had chicken wings, smoked sausage, and pulled pork. The meat was all very juicy and delicious. Sides were fresh and good. We ended with an excellent coconut cake. Service was quick and really friendly. The dining room was clean and nice. Pr8ces are reasonable. We'll definitely be going back.

This place made my southern heart happy! The food was everything I expected in superb soul food. Those collard greens were chefs kiss. The service was great and personal. The owner even came over and chatted for a minute to make sure we enjoyed it and had enough to eat, which is true southern charm. We will absolutely be back. I highly recommend this place.

Hands down the best BBQ I have had in a long time!!! The owners are a lovely mother and daughter who obviously put a lot of love into the food. They prove how important their patrons are to them by making you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. If you are looking to eat amazing food and support a Black Female owed and operated establishment, this is where you want to go. These ladies know how to do it right. If I ever decided to become a vegetarian, I would still go back just for the fried pickles and the Mac and cheese. After eating there for the first time, I ate there again 4 days later before heading out of town to visit family. I plan on going back when I get back to town.

Guys, you need to check it out! Black woman owned, family operated this hidden gem of Lowell is worth admiring! My hubby and I had amazing Friday dinner there!

Got the chicken and waffles and it was just okay. Chicken had good flavor but not very crispy for fried chicken. The waffle fell apart with every bite once the syrup touched it, syrup they gave was generic cafeteria maple syrup.

If you wanna see a good fight come here at closing time for a show outside. It’s fun if you’re young and just began to drink or have a fake ID. Other than that no adults should come here for a good time. It’s gutter dirty in there and make sure you are drunk before you come as well.

Your bouncers accused me of being drunk. I haven't gone out in over a year and Im completely sober. I even told him he can do a breathalyzer if he wants. Absolutely absurd. It was the first time Ive ever visited your location.

Honestly I never even got to go into the place! I’m legally able to drink, provided my ID and they asked to provide proof of my residency (I’m not a MA state resident)… I’ve never had this happen at ANY club/bar. Honestly that’s just super shady and ruined a fun night

First they have a sign stating free admission for everyone before midnight. We arrived at 11:25pm and they say men are $10 while woman are free. Ok fine but your sign says free everyone before midnight. Also this place is very homophobic, they have another sign saying no sweats, hoodies, etc dress to impress, but tried to kick out a gay men for looking good in a beautiful pink dress that was very elegant and up to their dress code. If you could please don’t support this business.

10/10/2023 This place has a good night life but watch your receipts. I paid $5.50 for 2 beers befor 1130pm and after that the price went up to $7.00 for the same beer not cool at all. Not sure if the owner knows about this but seriously not cool

Music was really loud in the dance area, to the point where my ears were ringing when I stepped into the bathroom 😬 but otherwise the place was pretty nice. I felt safe there, there were a variety of seating options and the drinks were good. It was spring break when I went so it wasn't packed enough for people to be dancing, but I bet it's pretty awesome on a regular night.

Bartender refused to serve my son a drink on his 21st birthday.. turned him away when he just wanted to buy his first alcoholic drink on his 21st birthday.. what kind of bar does that when a person who is celebrating their 21st birthday spends more than their regular customer spends in 2 days.. my son was not only with his mother but 4 of his friends so at least 5 drinks each plus some shots would have been purchased there if the lady bartender would have served us.. she losted out on a huge tip

I'm going with four star. The place is a good place to go and have some drinks and food.They have music,t.v, and a pool table. I grew up in Lowell all my life I been there quite a few times but I'm not a regular. I noticed if your not a regular, the other people are not to pleasant to be around. But all in all the place is very fun to be at if you just don't pay attention to the negative people. I think if the owner would have a talk to them there would be a lot more regulars and a lot more business.

I love Charlies. I like the fact that they are open early during the day. I love the fact that i can go there for lunch relax, enjoy something to eat watch T.V or listen to some music. Very friendly place. I recommend anyone to go here. Day or night.

My singular complaint is that the food is simply too good! Roland, the owner pours his heart and soul into absolutely everything dish he prepares. He seems to especially take great joy in my challenging special orders based upon what he has in his kitchen at the time. On New England game days, Roland always has a delicious spread laid out buffet style as a compliment to his guests. Thursday night seems to be a local favorite since you can rock out to your jams on the Touch Tunes jukebox for free. Yes. Thursday night is free jukebox night at Charlie's. I highly recommend checking it out. And don't forget to show the lovely bartenders your appreciation. Enjoy!

I absolutely love this neighborhood pub in Lowell. The owner makes great food, at generous prices, daily specials are plenty, barmaids are great & local folks are happy friendly neighbors that are generous in conversation with a smile!

Thursday nights this is the place to be!!! I went for the first time and didn't want to leave. The bartender was amazing!!! The talent was off the charts and the atmosphere was perfect

The safe is creepy and the vibes are weird, don’t buy drinks here if you don’t fit in, the bartender overcharged me 40$ above what I had owed for 2 vodka sodas and 2 shots. If that’s 70$ then this place is a lost cause

Small bar in the basement of what was apparently a bank years ago. Good mix of people, good drinks. Bartenders were very quick with supplying drinks. Good popular music supplied from an iPod or something. You don't miss the DJ because the music is good. Everyone is singing and/or dancing along. Not much seating there, but you really won't miss it either.

They don't serve food, so I can't rate it. But a fun lounge, and sadly the only one in Lowell I know of.

The only gin they have is tangerey but it's a lovely atmosphere.

People were GREAT... Other than that... Not so great. Took forever to get our food... Over an hour and we were the second group in the place. When we left we checked the bill, the prices we paid didn't match the menu prices... Over paid by at least $40, by the menu prices.

This will be.our last visit to an establishment whose glory days are gone. The kitchen and wait staff was overwhelmed by a larger than usual crowd. Except for the portobello mushroom appetizer, which was excellent, all other dishes were very disappointing. This included filet mignon, pork braciolla, and veal marsala. Even the creme brulee desserts were below average.

went last night for a graduation dinner at 9 30 friday night place was empty now i know why, party of 4 , order veal with linguie got penne they dont have linguie , food was cold, the other two people order steak , also cold , it was my sons graduation so i did not want to say anything. i would not suggest this place.

Went in on Tuesday night only people in place, rushed service, poor pasta selection (no spaghetti only penne) dry chicken parm, chunky tomato sauce. Overall poor quality for a $17.99 chicken parm meal.

Do not confuse this with the Ricardo's on north street in the north end of Boston. The food is absolutely delicious. Ate there tonight!! Always great!!

The Chicken Pot Pie was on the St. Patrick's Day specials menu & it was a great choice! It was served piping hot, right out of the oven. It was loaded with melt-in-your-mouth white meat chicken, gravy, carrots & peas. The top crust was buttery & flaky, as advertised. A delicious, mashed Maine Russet potato was also included. It was a perfect meal to celebrate St. Patrick's Day 2025! 🍀

The server was incredibly uninformed and ignorant regarding allergies. I have a gluten allergy, and he told me the items marked “GS-gluten sensitive” were the UNSAFE options- I.e. balsamic chicken has risk of CC because it is cooked on the same grill. I said so you’re telling me the chicken tenders are gluten free….. he said ya they’re covered in a different batter. The broccoli also had a GS symbol. I asked how broccoli could contain gluten or gluten derivative but the flatBREAD pizza was safe. He excused himself saying it was “worded weird and I’m just as confused as you are” I asked him if he could double check on the gluten sensitive indication. Came back and said they confirmed he was right. I asked if I could speak to the manager who came over and said “ya I have no idea what he was talking about” I ordered the balsamic chicken and it was decent but I think I definitely got cross contaminated somehow. Also I don’t consider myself super sensitive, although I’ve only been GF for about a year. Definitely started to feel a little “glutened” on the way home. I was incredibly dissapointed especially how the server did not admit to his mistakes whatsoever.

Standard american style place, the ribeye stake was not very good, perfectly cooked but the cut was low quality and not well seasoned. The desert and the soup were nice.

The 99 has always had this weird effect where whatever your expectations are when walking in is exactly what you get. I walked in expecting halfway decent food and good service in a comfortable atmosphere, and that's exactly what I got. It's strange. One person leaves entirely satisfied with their experience, while another is relieved just to be finally leaving, but they've both had their expectations met. Come here to be whelmed, I suppose.

I visited this location less than a week ago and the food and service while dining in were great. Unfortunately, I accidentally left my credit card behind. When I called, I spoke with Kiley, who confirmed they had it and that it would be kept safely in the office. A few days later, since I don’t live in the area, I made the trip back to pick it up—only to be told no one knew where it was. The manager on duty was polite and quickly reached out to the manager from that night, who said the card should be in a grey box. Still, it couldn’t be located. I was given the GM Christopher’s information and told to follow up, but when I did, he also had no answers. He apologized, but by then it was extremely frustrating to have wasted the trip only to find the card missing. I understand mistakes happen, but a clear protocol should be in place to ensure items like credit cards are stored and tracked securely. Because of this experience, I won’t be returning to this location.

We had an exceptional experience !! Best burger I’ve had in a long time - cooked perfectly medium as I ordered. The fries are perfectly crispy. The boneless wings were delicious - juicy white meat and crispy outside breading. Our waitress was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back!

Ordered a long island ice tea and a Bud light. 21 bucks. Not worth the time anymore. Nothing but college stupid. And hungry for cash with no actual service. Place is over run and not enough staff to do what this place was once. If you go. Prepare yourself. Otherwise what else you got now a days

Carla is the worst bartender I’ve ever had. Waited 10+ mins at the bar for my order. First time she was too busy talking about love island to take my order, then messed my order up and gave me the wrong item. The second time I waited for 8 minutes so I left her no tip, and she yelled at my 2 friends and I for not leaving a tip. She then said she was gonna purposely ignore us afterwards so we couldn’t place an order. Good service = good tip, simple. Keep in mind, there was probably 10 total patrons within the whole building. Worst experience, but am I surprised? No, If I could leave a lower review I would.

I gave bartender $20 for. $13 dollar drink and I said can I please have my change and she said no and twerked that shit for 5 seconds and kept my money

Was my favorite bar until Management night after night allowed “Tom the Fireman from Billerica” to hit on me n my friends night after night, my sister actually made report to Lowell PD against “Tom the fireman “ as he was known and LPD spoke w/establishment only to find him there every single time myself or friends went? It was obvious he spent much money there by time at establishment but as we told Mngmt he’s a liability and scary! Stay away !

Great kareoke, live music, dance music... Guinness! A lot of fun for the university student's. Excellent location, no cover charge, nice staff. Definitely a hot spot in Lowell! People love to dance and playpool there a lot... Good time, all the time :)

A relatively young crowd but the staff kind of caters to the "adults" in the room. They are always very nice and make you feel special almost.

A neighborhood bar. Does not make any excuses for what it is. CASH ONLY! Daytime mostly retired guys that are regulars. Nights a different crowd weekends especially. Mixture of ages. From college age to grandmothers dancing up a storm. Drinks are affordable likely the lowest prices in downtown.

This bar has been around and has made a good name for itself with the older and younger generation with its historical atmosphere whether you like to play pool or karaoke, The DJ will get you up and dancing.💯👍fun.

Cash only with the nearest ATM across the street. They charged us $2.75 for a small glass of soda that was mostly ice. Our cups were smaller than the mixed drinks at our table. There could not have been more that four ounces of soda.

There's an older lady in there with glasses that supposedly runs the bar with TERRIBLE customer service. If you dont want black people in your establishment just put a sign outside.

Great place to go to have a chill night out. Watch out for the female owner. She can be a bit testy at times, but it doesn't bother me.

Service was very nice. The food is just fine, I tried the steak. Not very juicy and it is definitely not medium. Soup tastes weird to me. And they charge a lot on the tips. It is automatically 18% gratuity and if you did not see the invoice carefully you would not see it. And still asking tips when you are paying the bill.

I just tried Gary's for the first time, and we were blown away by the food. This is really the place to go for high end Latin American cuisine. The fish ceviche portion was huge, with huge chunks of fish. Outstanding sushi--the fish tasted so fresh. Fried rock shrimp was incredibly yummy. And the cocktails were outstanding.

The food is good but they charge a huge amount of tip and hospitality fee. We ordered three dish for a total of $58, the Hospitality fee is $2.03 plus auto gratuity 18% $10.44, plus tax over food and tip ! So the rest of the amount I paid is $16.54. That's 28.5% of the food price! That's insane!

The sweet plantain bacon croquettes were amazing. The beef empanadas we solid. The seafood and pork belly mofongo were amazing. We sat outside on the padio since the inside was too loud for us. The padio was very nice with a view of the canals. Overall, it was a great eating experience and great food. We would totally go again if we are in the area.

A five star Restaurant! A true Dominican Restaurant! The food is unbelievable. The restaurant is spotless. The employees and manager go above and beyond for the customers. The chefs obviously love what they do for a career. The love that goes into the preparation is an piece of artwork on each and every dinner that enters the dining area. I feel like I am in the DR and haven't left Massachusetts. See you there!

The food is amazing here, whatever you order, and you will enjoy it. The atmosphere is good, people are happy everywhere, and eating and having drinks is just a great vibe all around. Make sure you check this place out because it's a place that you would not want to miss. The staff is always willing to help, and the drinks are strong.

Gary’s is awful, I don’t know what’s worse the food or the service. The place was close to empty and took it 20 minutes for the bartender to make our drinks. The chicken empanadas were extremely dry and you can tell the meat was old. My husband and father in laws skirt steak was well done after asking for medium rare, forgot my MIL salad and husbands beans halfway finished with the meal before getting the servers attention to let her know she forgot half of our order. Then added auto 18% gratuity which I know being you cannot add auto gratuity unless you have a party of 6 or more. The drinks used to be amazing but were awful today and can tell there was a drop of alcohol and way overpriced for a martini that contained nothing but juice. Save yourself and your wallet and use the extra money and go to Lawrence.

Had such a beautiful romantic dinner date. Firstly, reserving a table here via Google assistant was extremely easy and hassle free. So the moment we walked in on Thanksgiving eve, we instantly got our table. Once seated, we were completely blown away by the decor of the place. Absolutely aesthetic lighting with real candles on every table! Then starting off with the cocktails, we were not very sure how the moonhattan would taste like, so our server (I'm blanking on her name at this moment, but she was terrific, so if she gets to read this review somehow she'll know and I wanna give her a shout-out) was very kind to give us some cherries for tasting, as she said that would be mostly how the cocktail would taste like. Following the tasting, I went ahead with Barr hills bees' knees, because what can go wrong with Vermont made gin, local honey and lemon? And I absolutely loved it! My bf took the tao and zen, and said the drink grew on him! Coming to apps, we took tempura shrimp, and it was one of the most moist and tastiest shrimp we've had! For main course, we took the mushroom risotto with seared salmon and yummm, it was so good! The combination of truffle butter with arborio rice, parm crema, mushroom, and salmon gave us a foodgasm moment right there! We also took the faroe Island salmon, and while it was slightly oversalted, it was tasty! We finally took the dessert special which was apple custard, and loved that as well. The service was efficient and very warm! We ended up spending over 2h here, enjoying our meal and ambience, and taking pictures! Although pricey (with taxes and tips, averages $150 for 2 people with drinks, apps, entres, desserts), this place is a goldmine for celebratory or romantic dinners or for other special occasions. PS: 1. the location was great too (right off the exit of I-495 in Chelmsford) 2. The restrooms were fancy and extremely well maintained On my next visit, got the smokin' senorita and Korean pork belly, and loved both!

Good atmosphere, our waitress was kind and help us select the right food from the menu. The portions were on the small side especially the appetizers. The food overall good but nothing special. The rice on the ravioli could have been better. Beef short rib the best flavor off the night. We had tasted calamari, beef ravioli, mushroom burger and fried eggplant/tofu platter.

The restaurant has a very nice and cozy environment. The waiters are very friendly and the food is great! I think their mushroom risotto was excellent! They have variety of small plates - all of which are really nice! I think the steamed dumplings and hot Korean wings are the best! If you are looking to go out, have some nice cocktails and food, Moonstones would be a great choice!

Recently moved to Chelmsford so I’ve been trying to get out to all the spots. The food was really good and I loved the whole atmosphere inside. The service was great and our server was friendly. Definitely recommend checking out their brunch, i think I’m going back next Sunday!

It took WAY too long for us to finally end up eating here! Everything about this restaurant is 5/5 - the food, service, atmosphere. We have always been hesitant to eat here because of the model they have (update your signs outside haha). But we were SO pleased with our experience for our first visit. The waiters were very personable, attentive, and made the experience very pleasing. I know some negative reviews are due to the atmosphere. It is dark inside the restaurant but it fits the mood perfectly. The food was excellent! Portion sizes were perfect and the menu had a great variety. We will definitely be back!

Best Aviation I've had anywhere. They use real luxardo cherries Update: The food here is really good. Highly recommend the scallops, chimichurri steak, salmon succotash, and Indian cauliflower. The chocolate pate dessert was also very good.

I wasn’t going to leave a review but I had a really nice date at Moonstones. I got there around the time the kitchen was closing but they still let us order food. The service was great. I stayed late and they didn’t rush us at all. I had some issues but I’m willing to look past them because of their hospitality.

Brilliant burger place serving grass fed burgers, hand cut fries, and shakes. The burgers here are premium quality made with superior ingredients and they a take bit to prepare but the wait is worth it. I enjoyed a standard bacon cheeseburger with their homemade ketchup and the LBC fries and the burger is a good size and they serve a human size portion of potatos. Cool atmosphere with a small selection of rotating local craft beer and a full bar with cocktails. Try their spin on NY cheesecake for a real treat.

Their burger options are unique and delicious and so were their shakes and fries. The interior and tableware are exquisite. The staff are also very friendly and helpful.

Have been here several times since they opened and just went in again after craving a good old bacon cheeseburger. Probably the best burger around. All local ingredients and it sure makes a difference. Love the LBC burger and fries. Also the cheesecake dessert was out of this world. If I was dying tomorrow this might be my last meal.

Great food, great prices, friendly staff. Only thing I didn't like was the signature sauce. It was too sweet for my taste. It's a nice place to go and it doesn't look like the people get too rowdy there on the weekends. So you can still get food with your family and not be overrun by people at the bar. Great local spot for craft burgers and drinks. Full bar with unique twists on classics. Stopped in at noontime, they were a bit shorthanded for a Friday. Waitress did her best to keep up with 20+ folks who showed up at lunch.. Service was great, the food was outstanding We'll be back again when the hunger strikes.Great burger!

Went for a wedding celebration with approximately 150 people in attendance. Room was a great size and kids had a blast on the dance floor there. Decorations, food, and decor were supplied by family so I can't comment past that.

Did not like the drinks and food was expensive. Music was also not great and singer was booed the entire night. It was his celebration though, but definitely will not pay to ever this place again.

Got assaulted by Ana medeiros and two others ,she was totally drunk..this was at 7pm after I was served 1beer ....I've been coming to this place for 20years with no problems...I made the stupid mistake to get in with a friend to charge my phone and now bruised totally disturbed and clearly confused...but I got all my police reports, doctors and lawyers ! Don't come to this place ! Ask anyone! It was a mistake for me to get in,,but no one should be assaulted it really did mess my head up! I can't stop crying.

Local historic bar. Very casual bar nothing fancy. However they do host many events here.

We met a friend for dinner here before a Golden Gloves event at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium. The menu is small but the food was quite good. We all got some burger variant. They advertise an extensive craft beer selection. In reality, it was OK, but not great. Suggestion: a printed beer menu on the tables so I don't have to go stand a short distance from the bar to read the chalk board.

Very impressed with this bar. First time there Memorial Day Saturday 2018. The crowd was a good mix of people. A front bar with a dancefloor, back bar, and outside "patio" but the patio is huge. Plenty of space for you and friends to get together, drink, and dance. Bartenders are quick if you're asking for your basic beer or common mixed drinks. I hear that when UMASS is in session, the bar really gets packed. Bonus points for the 2 adorable and friendly French bulldogs that are apparently a staple there.

Food was good, asked for my burger medium but it was medium rare. I'm not picky so it wasn't a huge deal. Kinda disappointed at the menu as it was the "runners menu" that they have on Tuesdays so the selections were limited. Overall good experience though and the bartender was friendly.

Cute place, although you wouldn't know from looking at it from the street. Not a bad thing though, kinda makes it cooler. I was expecting more from this place in terms of food and beer options. When we went there was a very limited food menu, a lot of the taps were not pouring right, and the bartender didn't really know what was going on.

Every city has that one 'night spot' Where the locals and maybe even out-of-towners come and have a great laid back cool vibe experience, and without the drama. Nice night out with friends turned into the "bouncer" wearing a plaid hoodie physically pushing me out of the bar because I asked him not to take my girlfriends water that she was still drinking. Also he was the drunkest person in the bar. I guess you can't really expect much from a bar with one of the owners in jail for selling drugs.

Had a really nice time with a good friend a couple of Friday nights ago watching Leo Colon and his band. We drove up from Belmont. Great food, super friendly server, warm atmosphere. We’ll be checking the website to see who’s playing next and keeping an eye on the menu. (Loved the pulled pork sandwich.)

It has a neat speak-easy vibe with a cozy location along the canal. However, it falls short on some important characteristics. Music was good but it wasn't Jazz. No beers on draft, $8 for a single can. Food is overpriced for what you get. My partner got a $16 plate of generic prepackaged chicken tenders with potato chips. For the same price I got a pulled pork sandwich with a stale bun. We're from Kansas City where good BBQ and Jazz are a match made in heaven. I didn't expect to find perfection but I it completely felt short of expections. It's a high price to pay for a Jazz bar with no Jazz, no draft beer and subpar BBQ.

Had dinner this evening at the newly opened backpage and I have to admit they have the best burger in downtown lowell! Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The hours are great for early risers and those who work or go to class in the downtown area and also for you night owls. Live music and comedy are a major plus but honestly the burger itself was worth the trip. Staff is beyond friendly and very attentive. Menu has changed and will change again most likely to incorporate new dishes with freshvseasonal fruits and veggies. When live music isn't playing they still play smooth jazz through the speakers making it a perfect Date night or just a quite place to read a book or use a laptop. Come and check out what they have to offer and trust me, get the burger.

Stopped by Backpage in Lowell for a quick bite and was really impressed. The smashburger was awesome—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and just the right amount of toppings. I got it with their Passion-Proof Smoothie, which was super refreshing and hit the spot. The atmosphere is laid-back but with a cool vibe, and being right next to the canal adds a nice touch. Perfect place to relax after a long day. Definitely coming back!

I see reviews on burgers & pics. of burgers, but no burgers on the menu. Are you no longer serving them? If you are, do you cook them to order? (I like medium rare.) Great local bar with live music in downtown Lowell. Barkeeps are friendly and attentive. Crowd is diverse and everyone's in a good mood. I've loved the music every time I've been there.

After a football game you require 3 things: Food, drinks, and pleasant service. Kilkenny Pub nailed all 3. Just make sure you ask for the sauce!

I would give this zero Stars if I could. The owner is extremely aggressive and chauvinistic towards women. Comes off posturing, and almost like he's willing to engage in physical altercations with those of the opposite gender. Stay away from here if you value your time, money, and life.

I was unsure of what I wanted to drink I left it up to the bartender to make me a mixed drink, he listened to what I liked and didn't like and he crushed it amazing!

I've noticed from afar that this place is packed on St Patrick's day. Cinco de Mayo, not so much. Bartender is legit Irish, like, from Ireland. Purchased a couple jameson whiskeys and a pineapple juice. $16.
