The best live music venue in Kathmandu. Picks up late. So show up post dinner (and maybe a trip to a cocktail bar before). Wide menu for drinks, very beautiful set up. But come here for party and for live music.

Really enjoyed the live bands here. Even though I came on a weekday, the atmosphere was vibrant and lively. I didn’t order any food, so I can’t comment on that. But if you’re looking for a great night out with quality live performances, this is the place to be.

Purple Haze Rock Bar was probably one of the best Rock bars I’ve ever been to. We visited the place on a suggestion by our friend and truly loved the experience. The drinks were great, the food spicy just the way we like it. The best thing was the band’s performance and the ambience. People there were really enjoying the music and singing along. I’d definitely recommend the place to anyone looking for a place to have a great time in Kathmandu.

One of the best clubs in Thamel, might start up abit late but once the beat starts, you just get lost in music, food, drinks and friends... abit of the more expensive clubs but a great place to chill out and relax. Live music with great selection of bands... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Love the atmosphere. We were packed like sardines but we loved it. Band performing played a lot of classic songs. Service can bit slow due to sheer number of people inside this place but to grab a beer and to enjoy the live music, there’s no place like this in Thamel.

One of the best rock bar, The big was amazing, we went there on sat night and “the square band” was performing, they were amazing. Great ambience and even the good is great, just a suggestion the drinks are a bit expensive but its worth going in there.

As a local grown-up who’s seen and partied at so many venues in Thamel, I can honestly say LOD is the best! Incredible DJs, amazing music, and the vibe is unbeatable. Every night feels electric, and it’s hands down the top spot for anyone who loves to dance and enjoy Thamel nightlife.

Déjà vu is a brand new club centrally located in Durbar Marg behind Hitipokhari. Bringing you a new concept in the nightlife of Kathmandu, the 20,000 sq. ft. venue has a stylish design concept that reminds of a warehouse. The venue has a total capacity of 2500 pax with seating arrangements for approx. 500 pax. The club boasts two levels of dance floors with separate Lounge seating and two exclusive VIP rooms. It is open everyday from 6pm to 2am.

I went this club today but the price they took was unsatisfactory, I paid per person 1000for 3people and extra 1500for vip but there was no difference between the one who paid 1000per person and us.Then I called manager and told about it and he convience us saying he will look after it and will try to less 1500 but when the bill came they charge more then we ordered and again we complained about it,the same person came and told us he will look after it but he didn't do anything instead he ran away and at last we paid all the amount.When we came to counter they told that that's their policy and they can do whatever they can for their customer for the charge they charged and told us to write a complain and we did it and the wjay they talked and behaved was ridiculous......... Where is our government they charge 700 for one can beer whose MRP is just 230!!!! We were a group of 5 people(family members).. worst place for a night out.. staffs are not friendly.. never gonna visit this place ever again.. I have attached my bill from deja vu..

The sound, the lights, the industrial inspired decor is very good. The price for drinks however is very bad. And by bad I mean very expensive. Had a very mixed feeling in terms of service and overall experience. So, I give it a three star.

It's a great place but is little more on the expensive side. But considering the service and overall aspects, it's pretty awesome place to hangout with your friends. Plus, the live music is great and it offers many celebrity concerts time to time. You should definitely give this club a try.

Kathmandu knows how to party! Came in on a Friday night and the entry price was steep at Rs 1500. However the performances were great including live music, DJs, fire shows and dancers. The drinks are super expensive!

Great atmosphere if you are looking for a high end lounge in KTM

Food we had: Lemon Grilled Chicken and Ham Burger. Lemon Grilled Chicken was a mid 2.5/5. Veggies and mashed potatoes made it a decent serving. Ham Burger: The worst burger we have ever had, and it cost us NPR 625. What made it the worst? 1. Burgers are supposed to be juicy; it was very dry. 2. The ham patty was bland and tasteless. 3. The buns were already wet and fell apart after the first bite. As for the atmosphere, it was lively. However, the live music could have been better.

Vibing place upstairs Thamel. The sheesha was well-made accompanied by courteous service. Props to the live band showcasing some reggae jazz classics. It's the place for fun times and conversations. With solid security so you can enjoy it safely. Food quality can be improved compared to the usually delicious stuff we see at nearby places.

Cons- The staff members had a bit of attitude... while my cousins were on the dance floor and I was on the table, one of the staff members got the bill without requesting for it... I told him that we would be here for more... but did not bother to take the bill back and left the menu and bill together... Hadn't the music been so good we would have just left... Arrived at 21:45 waiter didnt tell us that closing was at 22. After we order the waiter said it was last round of drinks. And started to close the restaurant. Waiters forced us to leave before we finish.

It's a pub where the locals, foreign tourists and mountaineers hang out on tasty dishes and high spirits. Mountaineering enthusiasts can scan hundreds of 8K summteer's signatures on foot print shaped papers of snowman Yeti.

The ambience is nice but I found the price to be comparitively high (approx 50%-100% higher) in comparison to similar restaurants.

We enjoyed a group meal here as part of our tour in Nepal. Where we also got to speak with a Sherpa who has summited Mount Everest 8x (not to mention the other 8x he has climbed over 8000m) the man was a very quietly spoken and modest superstar⭐ Our meal was very good, grilled chicken with mashed potatoes and veg👍 Recommended 👍

We had visited Trisara for our family get together after getting reviews about the restaurant. For me the restaurant is over hyped restaurant. Type:People calling the restaurant fine dining have no idea what a fine dining is. It's casual dine in. Service: Average, compared to the rates the food is charged. Vibe:The good thing about this place is live music. Food is average. No wow factor, 3.5 /5 Dislikes: Not a good place for beer lovers, they only serve bottled beer (as per the f&b server) I had to go for the bottled beer instead of draft beer these days. No Sherpa, no barhasinghe selling just old traditional bottle beer shows how much they listen to the customers. No chilled glass for serving beer. Hope this brand will not perish adamant to changing eating habits of the customers. Kids friendly: it's not kids friendly as it doesn't have non smoking zone for families having kids. Wishing them best of luck.

It wasn’t just dinner. It was an experience and one I’d happily relive again, one of the top-rated restaurants in the country. The ambience with lighting, tasteful decor, and that made the setting feel special. A live musician (Prasanna Adhikari) performed throughout the night soulful music, It created a perfect backdrop for the evening. The food was outstanding. Each plate was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable. By the end of the evening, I understood why Trisara has earned its reputation. It wasn’t just about the food or music, it was the seamless harmony of everything..the ambience, the passion behind the service, the surroundings.

Had a chance to visit the newly remodeled Irish Pub in Kathmandu - they have done an incredible job of upgrading the bar, tables etc. We had a few Guinness’s and the fried mushrooms. Outstanding all the way around. Would highly recommend a visit as they have made a lot of positive changes.

Irish pub just a few blocks from our Hotel and the Dunbar Cineplex & shopping area. Nicely decorated with a pool table and an area for live music. Serves food as well...( didn't have the time this time to try) Does not have Guiness but does have many Irish and scotchwhiskeys, as well as US burbon. Nice prices. Cheaper and friendly that drinking in your hotel bar.

The place is really good and spacious. Staff are friendly. However, the food varies in quality. The first time I tried their pizza, it was the best pizza I've ever had up until that point. When I tried the same pizza again after few months, it was just average. Either way, it's not bad by any means, just felt the consistency lacked in the food taste and quality. Overall, recommended.

Finally, I found a place where usually popular singers hangs out. So don’t get surprised if you saw someone popular. And the foods and beverages were also great. The prices is fairly high but it justifies the service, atmosphere and food they offer. It’s also popular for the music concerts which happens there…

We were there for a birthday dinner. The ambience was awesome but we were not sure about the food. We started ordering one-by-one and each item we ordered wowed us.

I recently visited Moksh Bar and was instantly drawn to its beautiful aesthetic. The open spaces and relaxed vibe made it a perfect spot to unwind. We tried the jhol momo and Mustang aloo and both dishes were absolutely delicious. Mustang aloo stood out with a distinct taste I haven’t found elsewhere. It’s not just the food but the overall atmosphere that makes Moksh Bar a place worth coming back to!

I tried their mulled wine which was absolutely disappointing. The drink was aesthetically unappealing with no garnish at all. They served us in a STICKY wine glass and when asked, the server didn't acknowledge the problem. The food was average and not worth the price. Very disappointing experience. 😶

The food here is okay, it’s probably great for foreigners who don’t like delicious food. Everything on the menu is just fine, but, certainly not good. It’s just safe and won’t inspire you. If you want some bland stuff and you want to pay a premium, then this is the place for you. The beer was ice cold, so that was nice. Perfect for unadventurous tourists

Went to this club, staff at front were very rude and they urges us to only smoke Surya as they said they allowed only that one which is very frustrating and not good. People have their own choice on smoking and to the owner you should be very careful on customer demands rather than your business money. Hope you’ll take this as a good feedback and workout on this. Well . I have been told they serve the best bloody mary ! Not exactly! They brought also salt pepper and spices! They should clean first! Quite dirty. The place could be a great place but needs a restyling. Without loosing its soul. A place for hippies in the 70s. Paint new colour the walls and fill it wirh pics from the many written words of customers. Would be a great new start.

Came here because it was a recommended ‘sunset’ bar. It’s not - the terrace is far too low. But it is a great bar to chill out in, with reasonable prices. Cool vibe and highly recommend

The most reasonable prices to drink around Thamel and the atmosphere is like a classic pub with subtle music playing in the background . The service is top notch they become like family just after your 2-3 regular visits and the owner are very friendly too. Just the overall experience is what you would expect if you are not a club person but likes to chill in a bar . They don’t accept online payment so prepare cash beforehand.

No WiFi, no food service, the washrooms smelled disgusting and the cocktail (a pina colada) was undrinkable. I returned the drink after a small sip and ordered a beer. When it came time to pay, they insisted I pay 995rp for the undrinkable cocktail. I refused. The owner, an Austrian woman named ‘V’ insisted I pay. I wasn’t going to pay for something I couldn’t drink. She fleeced me of 100rp on top of what I paid for the beers in order to be allowed to leave and told never to return. Of course, I have no intentions of returning although a friend wanted to take me there next week. There are so many better places to visit in Thamel. This place wants to take all the money from tourists and deliver absolutely no customer service.

Hey I went sleeveless and one of your bouncer asked me to leave dance floor because he said we guys smell. And I see all girls sleeveless. I asked for manager they denied so you cant even afford manager? We boys pay all your bills. is this the treatment I get?

Been here after long time, cleanliness has deteriorated very much, glass dirty, tables sticky, plates chipped and broken overall the vibe and food was good only cleanliness was worst

It feels like your are under bouncer's controls . Although dance floor was empty 4 guards were staring at us like at anytime they will throw us out. Despite complaining they were proud that they are giving security like we have never been to any club before. Just go to lod and purple haze , dont want ur money here.

I have been going to this bar for a few years now and I have never received a warning or ever caused a situation that would warrant a warning. I was just there last night and had a good time to my knowledge. Everything was completely normal paid my tab and today walking up. There is a completely new Bouncer to my knowledge I’ve never seen him before explaining to me that I’m 32. I already had friends there who I was meeting and with telling me my only option is to call and try to get a hold of the owner in the morning to find out why I’m having this problem. It is very frustrating to have a new face that you’ve never seen before. I had an old bar you’ve been going to for years telling you you can’t enter nothing you can do about it call the boss in the morning so rude, this is how your going to be with the locals? Sorry, I went on a bit of a rant, but the question is do I leave I’m nasty review well I’m heated like this or do I wait until the morning like a reasonable person would and talk with the owner about what happened ? Average music, drinks were a rip off as very less or no alcohol, tried overcharging and putting unwarranted stuff in the bill and extremely hot ( no air conditioning and poor ventilation). Other than that above , good crowd, open late. A good place to end the night.

Terrible experience at Club Senate. The temperature inside was unbearably hot, and it felt like there was no air conditioning or ventilation. As per the staff, some maintenance was being done. On top of that, no one bothered to inform us about the issue, an overall neglected vibe.

Happened to stop by there after they had just finished renovating it as they said. Very nice atmosphere and vibe. All of the food was very good, definitely recommend! The staff was very friendly and welcoming! It is a pricier restaurant, but the experience and food is worth it! Bishal was very nice with us and so was the rest of the staff :)

The vibe and food here was good. Had non-veg baked lasagna, pork ribs and california rolls with mint lemonade and three two tango. The food was okay bit on the saltier side but it was good but the mocktails were a hit.

This used to be my hangout place before and I used to came here very often.. and I went under renovation for almost 8 months and visited today after 8 month feels same with lots of sitting space available and cozy ambience.. do visit if near by at durbarmarg.. Bishal Shrestha's service was excellent to us. We had a few mocktails in the outdoor area. The ambience was great and the drinks were amazing.

It had been a long while since I came back to Mezze by Roadhouse, and since my last experience I don't think I'll be coming back for another good while. My friends and I came here for dinner, and ordered four food items, the Pepperoni pizza, the pork chop, the loaded wedges, and teriyaki chicken. I cannot express the disappointment that we all felt at the quality of the food on that fateful day. The pizza was good, I don't think I had any complaints with it. Well made, well seasoned, very well prepared. Check. No problem. It was the three other dishes that were the massive let downs. The loaded wedges lacked punch, flavour, any real taste. The sour cream was what lended most of the taste to this dish. The teriyaki chicken, well and truly lacked teriyaki sauce. It did not have enough sauce at all. But the biggest disappointment was the pork chop. The pork chop was not well made. It was very, very dry. The potato dish accompanying the pork chop was another bland treat. Apparently, guests would have been allowed the option to have either mashed potatoes or the jalapeño potato, but our waiter on the day negated to ask us the question. So we didn't get to pick the type of potato side. But would the mashed potato have made the dish any better, or the pork chop juicy? No. The pizza was good, but not that good to prevent this 1-star rating. An absolute disaster.

Our group had a great time here even though it's raining so badly. Food are great with reasonable prices. Drinks were served much quicker than food. We waited for about 40-60 minutes to get all food for the table of 13 people but it's worthy. Pizzas were tasty. The music is not too loud which is good for sharing, talking.

There is a wide array of table games, some weird Japanese Chinese game with a screen in the table where you use a joystick to shoot fish, and a few slots. For slots you exchange Indian or Nepalese currency for 8 rupee tokens to put into the slots. We played on a standard 777 bar bar bar type slot from Harrahs from the likely 70s Era. When you are done, you can exchange a minimum of 100 tokens back to the cashier to receive Nepalese bills. There are no photos or video allowed in the casino and the employees hover over your shoulder. The place on a Sunday afternoon was empty but I had some hot tea, a bit of fun on the slots, and decent bathrooms when needed. There were digital slot machines with a 1000 token minimum that I wish had more playability.

It is like you are stepping into a James Bond movie. in fact there was a title like that. The Casino is located in a former palace. A lovely building amid a royal ambiance. A favorite place to gamble for Asians and Russians.

This casino isn't open. Travelled there only to be told they've shut down. What a waste of my extremely precious and limited time on this planet :( They should at least update their google maps entry.

Worst experience. Supposed to get free drinks but the waiters were too busy. Everybody was serving to the gambler. Waste of money. Never should have been there. :( . But the dinner buffet was good. So was the live Arabian dance.

This casino is in the same property as Yak and yeti. It is nice but has too many Indians crassing it up. And I really wish that they treat the Nepalese people who are the dealers and the pit bosses better.

What a place! Best momos, best aloo jimbu, best chicken sekuwa, live music and if you fancy a dart or 2 like me you can smoke at your table too! Best chef in Nepal Samridh created one great menu that has something delicious for everyone and service is great too. Is a must visit when in Kathmandu.

Was back to this place for a friends bday celebration. Things this time were much better, now they deserve a 4 star and service was better, way better. Saturday night vibe felt like a mini concert. I’m going to start with the positives because there certainly were some. The biryani I had was hands down the best I’ve had in a long while—flavorful, aromatic, and absolutely worth the wait if you’re judging solely on the food. The atmosphere was also lovely; the vibe was calm, with soft music playing, and the overall ambiance was great. You could really sense the restaurant's potential. But here's where it all fell apart: the service. And when I say "fell apart," I mean it. I had to wait a staggering 90 minutes for my food to arrive, all because their order system got stuck. What's worse, I watched multiple tables who came in after me order, eat, and leave, while I sat there hungry and frustrated. Not once did a waiter check in to apologize or even acknowledge the wait. After about an hour of sitting there, I finally told the waiter that I had been waiting for far too long, at which point my order was checked. Another hour passed before my food showed up. Not even an apology or any kind of gesture to ease the wait. At this point, I was beyond frustrated and asked the waiter to bring the manager. He casually told me the manager was “inside,” and yet, I watched him serve other customers without so much as a mention to the manager. The manager was nowhere to be seen. When the waiter finally came back an hour later asking why I wanted to speak to the manager, I told him I had a complaint I wanted to address. By that time, the food had arrived, I had eaten, ordered dessert, and paid the bill—and still, no manager showed up. It felt like I was being completely ignored. At this point, I couldn't help but think that the only "calm" people at this restaurant were the waiters and the no-show manager. The whole service experience was incredibly disappointing, especially when you consider the high quality of the food. A restaurant can have the best menu and atmosphere, but if the service is this poor, it’s hard to justify a second visit. One positive note—shoutout to the cleaner. This person was working incredibly hard, scrubbing floors, sweeping, and dusting. If only the rest of the staff worked with that kind of dedication. Overall, I can only give this place one star. The food is great, but service is absolutely crucial, and when it’s lacking this badly, the overall experience suffers. I won’t be returning anytime soon, and I’d recommend management seriously look at their service standards if they want to keep customers coming back.

Ambience wise its good you can enjoy live music every time you visit. For food we ordered mustang aloo, drinks and buff sukuti. I loved buff sukuti however Mustang aloo was not good. Talking on drinks we had mangoo mirchi which was not good and for strawbeery it was refreshing.

Bar bar has the most Laid back hip vibe in Thamel .. the owners are very friendly and you'll always find them in one of the corners working and vibing in customers. Amazing food options..grilled chicken and wings are a must!

Good bakery products with enough seating space. Ambience is relaxed and interior is done just right. Suitable for small groups and couples. They have collection of some nice baked goodies. It would be nice to try the collection as the range is quite tempting. Definitely a place to visit for some quickbsnacks or a relaxed drink.

Upstairs has a number of tables that allows for a cool breeze to make its way through. There was a nice variety on the menu, though surprisingly there was a second menu available, if asked for, which includes salads and other more delectable items. We went twice and had to ask for the other menu (pro tip: ask!) Good food, helpful staff, secret menu.

Well I love this restaurant, there’s live music there, and it was playing rock music there when I got there, it was funny because my parents were with me, and they don’t listen to that music but the food made it up for them. The food there is amazing, and I love momo’s, and their Jhol momo’s are of the best I’ve had soo far, it can get spicy for people who can’t handle it so I recommend getting a coke or two with it, to make sure you can handle it. I just visited swayambhu as well so the walk was worth it. Overall I would say if you were to here, it would be with your friends mostly or a date if your partner is into rock music played live😁.

Terrible dance lounge where they cater to girls in 20s. The photographers kept taking pictures of girls in their early twenties and didn't cater to the entire crowd. What they forget is that the girls in twenties just dance and leave whereas the rest of the crowd is paying for drinks. Maybe they should remember that and be fair to all crowds. I don't recommend this place to anyone. I'm very antisocial and don't like being photographed at all. End of discussion. I have also attached a photograph for reference. Looks at two photographers only capturing the young girls for entire one hour.

Disappointing Experience with Poor Hospitality We visited Club Karma in Kathmandu and purchased ticket vouchers that were supposed to be redeemable for drinks at the bar. However, when we got to the bar, they didn’t have basic beer options like Tuborg or Carlsberg. Frustrated, we decided to leave, but they refused to refund our money. Instead, we opted to redeem our vouchers for cigarettes and water. We took two bottles of water and a cigarette pack of a brand we had never heard of. The overall hospitality was terrible, and when we raised concerns with the manager, he showed zero care or professionalism. He was young and seemed inexperienced in handling such situations. The only positive interaction we had was with the security in charge, who was polite and explained that the system didn't allow him to do much about it. It's unfortunate that the management didn't reflect the same courtesy. Would not recommend this place for those expecting good customer service or basic hospitality.

The aesthetic of the restaurant is good but there needs to be more improvement in food and staff. I ordered medium-well steak and got a medium rare and I could taste more rosemary than the actual meat- way too much rosemary. staff were not concerned about costumer at all, I waited quite awhile for them to hear my voice. And I got 6 pieces of potato with this quite expensive steak- price is not reasonable. In conclusion, Well designed ambience doesn’t go well if the food is below basic (steak is the most basic food out there is cookbook) and costumer service is bad.

Good ambience and comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors in the middle of thamel. No parking of course. Food was good. We specifically went here to have burgers, but I was disappointed with the bun, it didn't seem fresh. But the patty was well seasoned, cooked and tasted good. The fries they served with was also good. We enjoyed the buffalo wings and nachos. Although the quantity of nachos was too little for the price we payed. Chicken sizzler was also good. Good service. They have live music at weekends. Price is on the higher side.

The Chef Sanjeeta came to ask how was the service and we were happy to come and eat really tasty meat after our trekking. The service was great by the waitress Bismritee, who has a great English.

Absolutely loved the food and the level of service was really good too! Would definitely recommend this place for either dinner or drinks during sunset, great spot! Momos and biryani were fabulous.

Such an amazingly comfortable, stylish restaurant lounge. With excellent views, service and fantastic food, this place is hard to beat. For me it is by far the most comfortable rooftop with its plush booth seating and also seating for 2,4 or 6people. The drink prices are fantastic in my opinion specially as a whiskey drinker. We tried every whiskey available and it was such an amazing evening spent. We came back the following day to try the Thakali and OMG= it was so delicious l couldn’t stop talking about it along with the sizzling chocolate pudding. Highly recommend

It’s a pretty relaxing place to be, if you want to escape for the hectic and noisy life of Kathmandu. The food they serve was substantial, but they could make it better.It could be your next place for a romantic dinner with your partner. It could be a bit pricey, however, the experience is worth to have.

Food is good. Ambiance also okay. But management is poor , buffet food trays are empty and have to wait quite a long. Need to improve, especially in the holidays. They should prepare for more customers and prepare food accordingly and faster.

Great beer bar. 10 tasty (I tried 5) local beers on the tap and several local and international beers in cans and bootles. All together 35 different beers. Friendly and attentive service and bar team. If you are looking for great beer in Kathmandu it's a must!

Super friendly, family-run pub. I've visited a few times to watch a certain football or rugby match, and the staff have always been extremely helpful in trying to get the game up on the TV. Always a nice atmosphere.

The Everest Irish pub is one of the best places to hangout in the thamel area. It is vibrant and the ambience is so good. You can hangout with your friends playing pool and having drinks. The bar has a high table and has a variety of wines and beers as well. You can climb upstairs and grasp the fresh air on the terrace. I recommend people visiting this place if you are nearby.

We came here after trying the restaurants on the lower floors. What a difference in the quality of food and service. Kind friendly staff with the added bonus of a live musician playing beautiful guitar ballads from rockstars of the past. I had the mushroom pizza which was delicious with plenty of cheese and a puffy base. My mate ordered the vege continental sizzler which came out on fire (literally) and then smoked out the restaurant. That was impressive! We are coming back with a group of people after our hike for another great experience. Keep up the great work guys. Thanks.

The place is cool and well set up but i didn't like the food. Too spicy and salty is how I described the food served. On the other hand I like the service and the staff was very helpful. The place failed the momo and choila taste which were totally bad . The ambience is good but on the other side you pay money for quality of food which was something that I felt was low. The place is full with people and I liked the vibes of the salsa night.

Perhaps I went on the wrong night, but it wasn't a great experience. A vast place and perhaps would have a great atmosphere on a busy night but food and drinks were slow, it felt a bit dingy, and wasn't great VFM. Not quite sure what was London about it apart from a pretend telephone box.

Bartender signature cocktail is very good. This is the only pub in Kathmandu that actually has an English vibe, ambience and centrally located. Strongly, recommended for chill beers, vast selection of liquors and English themed pub.

The crew Misa “Michaela” is great guide not only for food but also give you very important advice and information which can really safe you life… Food was georgeous, I love it…. from my side I recommend this place for 150%… Why? 100% for food abd services and 50% more for advice and help….

This is a hidden gem in Kathmandu. They have great delightful, making it an ideal haven for trekkers to gather and enjoy a meal together. The owners are very accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend their momos/ dimsums. I was fortunate to receive a tutorial on how to make momos. Sandeep, their remarkable chef, graciously shared his recipe and the art of dough preparation. I successfully crafted a batch of stunning momos. Thanks to Home Bar!

One of the best bars in town . Having visited this bar and restaurant a few times during my stay in katmandu I can say that it is right at the top of the list . . It has a very chilled atmosphere. Toby the host is very welcoming as are all the staff . A Pool table in the back sports bar is a great place to meet locals and travellers alike . Great tasting food . Especially the pizza's and pasta . Great selection of cocktails . Nice range of local and international beers and spirits . 👍🍺🥂🍷🥃🍸🍹

Tucked away from the chaos of Thamel’s main streets, A Tiny Pub lives up to its name — small, but full of character. The owner originally opened it as a hangout spot for his friends while running an e-commerce business. But he loved the vibe so much, he turned it into a full bar. It feels like a chill living room in the middle of Kathmandu. Prices are fair, music is good, and the energy is laid-back. Definitely worth stopping by if you want a quiet drink with a story behind it.

Walked by and could not resist the pull from the mysterious tiny but steep staircase leading to the rooftop bar. Place is certainly reflecting on its name Tiny Pub, it is trully cozy spot with a rooftop seating. Service excellent, accommodating (even closed for me later though I was the last customer - still happily jet lagged - did not notice it is 11pm...). Accepted USD since I had no NPR yet. I can not comment on food as I did not have any. If you fancy something different, give it a go.

Great little place with an awesome street view night or day, worth the trek up the flights of stairs. Reasonable prices both on local beer and plenty of international spirits. The friendly staff will bring drinks up to you on the top floor too, there’s a bell button you can press for reloads. We were lucky to meet the entrepreneurial owner too who was happy to give us plenty of useful stories about the area and Nepal in general. Worth checking out for a few drinks if you are passing!

I've walked along this Thamel street many times and this was the first time I noticed the sign. Wanting to find out more, I climbed several flights of stairs to the rooftop. There I was warmly welcomed by a group of Nepali friends - it's their chosen Friday hang out. Service was great and I thoroughly enjoyed my short visit.

Great atmosphere and service and delicious drinks! Ordered the old fashioned and it was beautifully prepared in front of me. Large ice cubes and orange peel garnish. We were the only ones in the bar at the time and had a lovely conversation with the bartender. Peanuts for snacking were a nice touch.

The pub does stand upto its name. Its tiny yet cosy with a great service and ambiance. The street view from the rooftop is amazing. The bartender and the owner-Rohan were really friendly and very welcoming. My friend and I just went for a drink but ended up staying until late drinking and chatting with Rohan. Go grab yourself a beer and enjoy this tiny pub. Highly recommended!!!

The restaurant offers delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. It's located on the top floor, accessible by lift. While the ambiance is nice, the space can feel a little cramped.

At the very centre area of Baneshwor lies this place at the rooftop giving us views of the valley and also the BICC . The staffs were attentive. The place was good, aesthetic as well. The food was so yumm. Everything we tried tasted good. It's a perfect place to go with friends or family as well. There was live music too which was too good. I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Staffs are very cooperative. Food is pretty good with affordable price. If we take about ambiance it's superb. Must visit this BBQ. I will visit this place again definitely.

The ambience and the food is good. It also has a rooftop with swing. The view from the rooftop is awesome. However, the hospitality needs some improvements. It has just been over a month that this place has come into operation. Hopefully they will consider the hospitality. Other things are great.

The place is an absolute maze to find. The direction to enter the place is not easy. From the get go it looks like you’re trying to figure out a puzzle to get into. The drinks were unique but I did not enjoy them as much as I did the food. The place is fancy and cozy though I found it very small compared to what I had expected from the reviews and picture from the websites. And talking about the prices I feel it’s exorbitantly high. The atmosphere is super nice.

One of the best bars in Kathmandu. Unmatched for the quality and creativity of cocktails and for paying homage to Nepal’s rich culture. The vibe is incredible- low lit and rich green tones that transport you back into another time period. Gorgeous during sunset hour too! Highly recommend the Aylā tasting where you can try local liquor in various forms.

Barc is phenomenal and I was genuinely impressed. The drinks are, of course, delicious. More than that, though, they are delicious drinks that draw on local ingredients and local food culture. I had the twist of Imli, an expert combination of coriander, lemongrass, and tamarind flavors. They also have drinks referencing local snacks or using local alcohol varieties. I had the Ayla sour, a great way to showcase their ayla in a cocktail. The hospitality is also top-notch and by innovative bartenders who know what they’re doing. Thanks to Swadhin Raj Gurung and Sagar Bista for taking care of me.

Best cocktails in the valley. We particularly appreciated their swift and polite service, the ambience (enjoyed sitting on the patio and watching some local birds fly by), and their unique cocktails you can’t find anywhere else! I had the Indian Summer which was briny, tangy, and refreshing; my partner had the Airy Khattu which (per him) tasted exactly like the khattu he had growing up. French fries hit as well. A true speakeasy; good luck finding the door.

One of the first brewpub style places in Kathmandu. They're serving mostly brews from Sherpa Brewery and have fantastic cheese and meat platters. If you're lucky they may have some Belgian brews available, but they run out quickly. I came here twice in 2 days. Nice guy and even nicer short girl staff. Free wasabi nuts. Great beer. Very well priced including vat(13%). Nice place to hang. Too bad outside is dusty so only left inside. No plug points for charging but maybe they allow over counter. Even better is they allow international credit cards! Had all 3 of their local beers. I like the red and IPA.

Just overrated! 🙄 This used to be my go-to place—until I actually ordered food. It’s only good for drinks and hanging out with friends, thanks to the atmosphere. The rooftop area is a nice spot tbh, but the other two floors feel more like waiting zones than part of the restaurant. Foods are overpriced for the quality and its taste. Margarita pizza was barely edible. What really turned me off was the payment process …. they made me wait just to “verify” the payment, even after I showed the details. Honestly, it was disgusting. Never gonna visit again 🙄🙄🤬

Atmosphere is OK. Great views, that’s the only great thing about their place, it felt like I was at a waiting area because of the sofas. Ordered buff momo, butterscotch milkshake, linguini carbonara, Mustangey aloo. Buff Momo is good. Butterscotch milkshake is also OK, not too sweet but there’s a weird aftertaste. Ordered Linguini Carbonara and they gave me Spaghetti Carbonara. Lol. Flavour-wise, it tastes a bit bland. Mustangey Aloo had great flavours! It was just a bit salty.

First impression, the lower floor is not that clean. Mustang Aloo was hard to chew and not crisp at all. Timur Chicken was good. Buff Momo was not that good, dough was very chewy, minced meat lacked spice, achar was good. Service was decent. Overall they need to focus on cleanliness.

After nearly 2 years of occasional visits, we went back for a little family treat but despite a warm welcome and good service, it didn't make up for the mediocrity of the food, even though I was looking forward to a good snack... I traveled to Nepal from Australia and out of every place I went RDX was the best. An awesome place to relax. Have some drinks. Eat some really good food and meet great people. The owners and the staff are fantastic and make this place a stand out bar. The tattoo artists also are absolutely amazing at their work. I got 2 tattoos here and they did a perfect job. I can't recommend this bar highly enough. 10/10. 5⭐. Can't wait to come back one day

Place is small and chic!!! Cozy with a pretty decent decor. Seats are very uncomfortable and the loud customers nearby on the very small place didn't make staying there any pleasant! Staff needs some training on etiquette! Food needs to improve. The bamboo plate with sliders in which they served the expensive starter bacon dish was interesting... Food was not worth it though. The beer gave me a terrible headache the next day !!!

There is no parking and the food the offer is limited to cheese, crackers and cured meats. They allow you to bring your own food which is nice but still, it would be nice if they could offer some bar foods like fries, wings, chicken tenders, nachos etc. The service staff gets swamped pretty quickly once 7pm rolls around and all the tables are full. The staff are very hospitable but one can only wait so many tables at a time so service is slow. The atmosphere is great, a nice place to drink and have lively conversations. The beer prices are ok and the selection of beers they offer are also ok. I didn't really try much else apart from a few shots so not too sure about their cocktails. It's a good place to drink and not much else.

Great place to have draft beer, mostly they have 3 or 4 flavor of Sherpa beers. Draft beer here is very good here specially the Sherpa ipa beer which I enjoyed the most. They serve glass as well as pitcher which is around 1500ml. Service here is also good. Have decent tables indoor as well as outdoor, also has tables in terrace. No private parking available.

I was here for a live experience when a couple of friends played. As a venue, it is decent but somewhat difficult to see the stage from some seats just because of the layout of the place. Firstly, the venue didn't have a mic so they had to source it from somewhere minutes before the show started. Secondly, it felt that the servers were more interested in serving the many "social media influencer" types in the audience over the more regular crowd. However, the end of the night was enjoyable with people coming out to the dance floor. A decent experience overall.

So happy we stumbled into this bar! The music and atmosphere was great- they were playing afrobeats and music you wanted to get up and dance to! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel during my recent visit to Janakpur. After reviewing several options online, I made a reservation over the phone, and the staff was very helpful throughout the process. After check-in, a service staff member (whose name I unfortunately didn’t get) guided us to our room and kindly helped carry our luggage, which was a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. I would especially like to mention Ms. Manisha Jha at the front desk for her kind and attentive support. She assisted us throughout our stay and also recommended some local places to explore, which made our trip even more enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, with a cozy bed. Although the space was slightly compact, it met our needs well. The food was also enjoyable and due to the hot weather, we chose to dine in. The rooftop restaurant added a pleasant atmosphere to our meals. The location is excellent just a short walk from Janaki Mandir making it easy to explore the area. The hotel also provides EV charging facilities, which was a great convenience. I was able to fully charge my vehicle without any additional cost, and I truly appreciated that. I will never forget this trip. Janakpur will always have a special place in my heart. Overall, I had a great experience and would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Janakpur. One of the best sports bars in town. Healthy snacks, friendly staff, Free pool table, Resonable price on drinks, ample space for big group, live sports....I have been there many times and i love this place.

We came to play pool only but the atmosphere and service was so good and wonderful we stayed for food and beers too. They were very friendly people with lots of great food and drinks. Will definitely recommend someone looking to chill for the day to come here.

Overall food was good service was good and friendly staffs big screens for sport was good and the pool table was great.

I really like the ambience, good coffee, and the interior is really good. The drinks and foods were all tasty and worthwhile. If you’re up for a fresh place to hangout with your friends, family and close ones I’d highly recommend this new cafe/bakery/ pub. Plus everyone is really friendly and polite to the customers. ✨

Food was absolutely STUNNING, I loved fish and chips. I ordered Peanut sadeko, Mustang aloo, paneer pakuda, and the Fish and Chips. I loved how each dish came with a nice side salad and also loved all sauces that came with them. The plating was also very nice and tasty for the eye. The taste of the food was great. Overall I enjoyed my stay and loved the hospitality of the employees.

Well it's the best experience that i have had here on my tour of Nepal...they were screening the fifa world cup when i visited, to my delight what lipsmacking food they serve and what a cozy atmosphere for the finals we witnessed at the pub...if you haven't had the chance to visit its a must go place when in katmandu...kudos to the staff and management and to the chef to make our trip memorable 🙌🏻🍻🙌🏻keep it rocking you guys!!!

We were staying near Kathmandu airport for a late flight and wanted to find somewhere nearby for food. Really enjoyed everything about the Fat Yak cafe - great food, well priced drinks (especially after Thamel prices) and good WiFi. Service was outstanding - after mentioning that there was a UK football game on, they managed to find it for us on their TV. Would absolutely recommend.

Coco beach was the best. But what intoxicated me most was the place itself ; )

The cafe which is so good and very comfortable to eat here. Love the interior. We can enjoy there alot,it is a very beautifull cafe as well as there customer services is also too good.There food are also tasty, no complaints about the food either. Best pizza in town if you’re up for refreshing your taste buds.The services behaviour of there service staff are so kind. I am very thankfull to Fat Yak Cafe for your good services. Great place with very friendly staff, well priced beer and very tasty beer snacks. Well worth a visit, find it down the alley and up the stairs to the top.
