The 50 best bars and drinks in Lviv Oblast

A cool concept - enter the beer hall through the front of a clothing store then head downstairs to the actual pub, speakeasy- style. It’s very modern down there, with walls of beer and lots of wooden elements , but in a sort of clean and generic style. Lots of merch for sale upfront, kind of like a gift shop (which for me is a bit off-putting in a beer hall). I will say this — these guys brew an awful lot of different beers, and they’re all on display in various colorful bottles with cool labels. Service was spot on and very attentive too. That said, there are better, more atmospheric places in Lviv that offer character as well as good tap options when grabbing a brew. Pravda is a cool enough joint, but not a must-see, IMO.

Lively, loud, and full of character — Pravda Beer Theatre is part brewery, part circus for the senses. Great spot for people-watching over a pint, but expect crowds, tourist prices, and hit-or-miss service. The live music and quirky decor make it memorable, even if the beer isn’t the best you’ll have in Lviv.

Great craft beer bar in the center of Lviv. It's downsized since the first time I visited, and is now just the basement under Aviacija Galičini, but there's still plenty of space. Wide array of beers, both from Pravda themselves and other Ukrainian craft breweries. The food is pub food, which is appropriate and quite tasty. Cool decor, friendly and helpful staff, and all around one of my favorite spots in Lviv. I particularly enjoyed the Vid Sjanu do Donu and Caife Gaelach stouts, but there's a very good selection of IPAs and other styles on tap.

Very atmospheric beer theater. It is unusual to even hear the phrase beer theater. The food is average, something tasty, something not, but it's a matter of taste. The beer is great, the music is loud. It is impossible to talk during the concert due to the volume of the music. When I was at the theater, there were too many people, so the food and drinks had to wait a very long time. If you have never been to a cafe of this type, then you should definitely drop by here for a glass of beer.

Surprisingly quiet for a bar restaurant. We were the only ones there. The atmosphere was pretty standard for a brewery bar. The waitress was polite and spoke decent English. Their food was stunning. It was absolutely delicious. I would suggest you to order anything beef related. They are really good at it. Their beer is standard. The salad was amazing. Their prices are decent but one thing that annoyed me was the fact they had discount for locals (which is fine by me) but they wrote the discount price for locals beside the price for foreigners beside every single dish.....In English. I mean if you are a local who will get a discount you wouldn't be reading the menu in English. To some extent it was taunting the travellors. While I appreciate the sentiment to lower the price for locals they could have done it in a way that was a little less provocative. The prices are still great though and the food is amazing

We went as a recommendation from our tour guide. There was life music and it was amazing. They have many different types of beers and the have won some competitions with them. They have good food. We ordered 3 different starters as we were there for a while and all was big and testy. For sure a place to visit and have a great time. We arrived around 5 pm so we didn't have to wait but a little later we could see people waiting for a table.

A Lviv classic. An essential visit for craft beer lovers. Their brews are adventurous - the Tom Tum beer is all the best flavours of Thai cuisine in a glass.

As I understand now, previously famous restaurant is at the point of its decline. Beer something in between bad and normal. Meals are also made as if in some kind of bistro, the serving and taste is below normal. Portions, I would say, rather small. For now, there is nothing that can make me come back. Really disappointed, as I remember Kumpel from the other side.

It's nice place with decent beers and meals. Be prepare to wait for the table if you didn't make reservation earlier. Not sure why this place is so popular. Soup was a bit too salty, steak was good but not cooked as requested.

We came here for breakfast. I can say that it was a mistake, cause the place is definitely overrated - I don't believe, that their chef can cook anything if he can't even properly cook scrambled eggs. After all there was a mosquito on the toast, which would be a good finding in a piece of amber, not on the plate. (see pictures attached)

Their menu is something incredible. They have so many different dishes to choose between that it won't be enough coming there for 5 days in a row! If you're visiting lviv for the first time, or if you want to try a really good place, you must take a visit in this restaurant!

I can't drink alcohol, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying this place. They produce their own beer, which looks and smells really good. The menu has a lot of Ukrainian classics, all of which are prepared well. Good portion size, good prices. I laugh at some of the menu translations, as food is notoriously difficult to translate.

Very cool place. Craft beer of six different kinds, really tasty, my favourite was amber one. A set of "banosh" porridges (carpathian style) was soooo good. Definitely recommend to try if you haven't tried it ever. Nice service at this place too.

This is an amazing experience & one should take time to experience the full treatment. There are so many strange & funny corners of this restaurant. There's a little prison, a shooting range, radio equipment, weapons & a very nice shop upstairs. The owners have really thought this through & customers are positively amazed. I'm going to be back.

During my first ever visit in Ukraine I visited Kryivka together with my Ukrainian friend. Before our trip to Lviv she told me a lot about the special atmosphere of this place. As a symbol of a century-long resistance and fight for a free and sovereign Ukraine. That is still ongoing. So you might think that I was prepared. I wasn‘t. Because the scenery and atmosphere are so unique that I had goosebumps when I was entering Kriyvka and seeing all this badges of these military units. Each of them as a symbol for true heroes. Beside of that, the service was excellent, the beer was amazingly good and the food so tasty. All in all it was one of the most impressive restaurant visits of my life. Slava Ukrainï!

This place was quaint in the extreme but less touristy than I had expected. The food was excellent and not highly priced. It was actually fun to go there. Its not haute cuisine like some other places in Lviv but good nevertheless

Friday Night Jazz was Superb! This cocktail & jazz speak easy is high quality. Great drinks! ...I loved that the drink menu provides some historical context of Lviv (in English and Ukrainian). Great waiters! ...Helpful, attentive, and seemingly speak every language this region might need (English, Ukrainian, Polish, and Russian) Great food! ...I mean seriously, delicious food. Tomato bruschetta- wow! An inspiring and inventive combination of fresh and sun-dried tomatoes, radish sprouts, tiny slices of olive and almost imperceptible celery slivers. Duck bruschetta, scrumptious! Risotto- creamy, parmesan-y, good- somewhat small portion Panna Cotta- didn’t try enough to get the whole gist, but definitely tasty! Top-quality! Okay... ready for it? Not a great price! ... For Ukraine, these prices are unbelievable. Really. Even for Lviv, it’s expensive. But... I loved it all and was happy to pay a far above average price for a far above average experience. -If you’re interested, total bill (food, drink, live music fee, and tip) was 660 UA.

First visit was nice. It was Thursday, it was almost empty, nice music on big screen, testy cocktails and desserts. But the second visit on Saturday was horrible. There were a lot of people and the administration allowed visitors to smoke inside. I hate the smell of cigarettes! As they said they have a ventilation, but it didn't work. I wish you to have only two smokers in your cafe if you don't respect the health of yours guests.

Fantastic cocktails, atmosphere and place. The only contradiction is that the place have a vast collection of books there. And the name of the place suggested that the customers can browse through the books.... But the moment I took the book of the shelf the bartender rushed to me saying that we could not read books as the collection is very old and rear. Just keep in mind, Libraria is for drinking delicious cocktails not reading interesting books😉.

It’s a must see spot when visiting Lviv Ukraine. My walking tour guide pointed it out and I said let’s get a coffee! From the outside it does not look like much much, but it has a large area for dinning, a shop and extensive underground very storage and cavern-like areas that are worth the visit in itself. I had the flaming coffee and it entails a using a flaming torch thst makes the sprinkling of sugar on top of the coffee froth. The short show involves the table on fire and a final melting browning of the sugar to create to shell you tap through to get to the coffee! Lots of fun for a cup of coffee!!!

Best napoleon you’ll ever try! Great coffee great desserts and amazing service. Also a lot of souvenirs. It’s a coffee heaven! They grind coffee in front of you as well! Also free water refills

Lviv Coffee Mine is a must-visit place for coffee lovers! The atmosphere is unique, with an underground "mine" where they "extract" coffee. It was fun to explore, and the whole place had a cozy and historic feel. We tried their coffee, and it was really good—rich, strong, and full of flavor. A great spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in Lviv!

I didn't really like the food. The praised salad with burata did not have much taste. The waiter heard my I was thinking about ordering a dish, as an order and brought it. I felt sorry for him. I ate that camembert with figs. Also, baked Camembert is tastier in Baguette. The request for a glass of water had to be repeated. The terrace at the top is made a bit silly. But these are all trifles compared to the fact that I woke up in the middle of the night from nausea. Ну дякую!

Really nice restaurant! Have a variety of salads, meats, and pastas plus much more. Waiters very professional and friendly! Located in Lyviv and joins the Swiss Hotel.

I would really like to thank the staff for their kindness. The gentleman out side the door was cary helpful. He helped us getting our baby stroller all the way in. The rest of the staff were very helpful too. For the food I ordered the Arrabbiata pasta which sadly wasn’t like what I expected. Just spicy tomato bits and was not saucy at all. The veal salad was very delicious! I liked it. The mushroom soup was warm and flavorful! You can never go wrong ordering it! Finally and sadly I don’t have a pic for was the Quattro formaggio pizza which was tasty! I really recommend this nice restaurant if you ever visit Lviv!

I smoke shisha pretty often and tried different places in Lviv. In my opinion the shisha quality here is way higher than other places. The atmosphere is very good and the staff are very friendly.

The best meals we had in Lviv were cooked by a young but very talented chef at Dr. Ink. Everything from tuna tartar to a burger was a masterpiece. Don’t miss on their cocktails, they’re equally good.

really nice place on the edge of city center (hence no people are walking on your head). GREAT customer experience. got seated at ~16:45 even though the bar opens at 17. the bartender just took the table and chairs outside. the service was really fast and pleasant, the cocktails were tasty. _clean_bathroom_ the only thing that could help is some sort of sun shield for the outside tables.

Great place to meet with friends. You can chose from few different concepts that lies on different floors of the building: from the pub or wine restaurant on the lower levels to bar with a Dj and secret speak easy under the roof. The prices a pretty high as for Lviv, but the quality of dishes and service is fair enough. It’s weird though that music is good but nobody dance. Could be overcrowded in the evening, so be prepared to spend some time in queue. They don’t provide reservation in advance.

As a German beer enthusiast i have to say the beer is as good as home! One of the best places in Ukraine for a proper Beer. The food is good and the Service is phenomenal! The Barkeepers (Maks and Arthur) at the ground floor known their craft very well!

Mad Bar is pure fun from bottom to top! Each floor has its own cool vibe and concept, so it feels like exploring several spots in one. Food is delicious, cocktails are spot-on. And the rooftop bar is the cherry on top, lovely views + great atmosphere!

Wonderful place- great location. I was in a 4 women room. Perfect. Cosy and quiet. Everything is clean. Welcoming and helpful staff(24/7). I stayed here a couple of nights, one of them by coercion. It's thursday, I pack up my belongings, take of the bed linen and sheet, and return my keycard with the used bed linen and sheet (as per their rule, you have to put in on yourself too). When I go to the reception to check out, the receptionist tells me I already paid for another day, I felt quite sure that I only booked one day, but it was possible that I indeed had booked multiple days, but to make absoluty sure that there wasn't a language barrier I ask him multiple times if he is sure that I had paid for thursday to friday aswell. He is absolutly sure and we go through what bed I am in, my name etc. Confident about the booking I go back to the room, lock my things inside the locker underneath the bed and go on with my day. I return at midnight, when the curfew in Lviv begins. I go to my room, unlock the door, go to my bed and to my surprise there's a guy in the bed. We were both very surprised, to put it midly. Both our cards had the same room number and bed. At reception I am told, that my booking isn't for thursday-friday, and I am asked, if I would like to make a reservation. One would think, that they acknowledge the mistake and find me an empty bed and that's the end. But sure, I would like to make and pay for a reservation - especially since it's illegal to go outside after midnight in Lviv because of wartime, so I am kind of stuck here for the night... I get another room at full price, get to the room, find the bed, but someone already locked the locker. I figured that maybe someone made a mistake and I just take the one next to it, but this one is full with items. Alright. Maybe I just leave my stuff on the floor, don't want to make to much noise and wake up the people whom are sleeping. But the poweroutlets are filled with another persons stuff too. I go to the reception again... I get another room, I go to my 3rd room this night, use the keycard to open the door, find my bed and there is already someone sleeping in it. I go to the reception for the 4th time this night, I get another new room and bed, this time I get a bed without anyone else in it and nobody is using my assigned locker. This whole ordeal is beyond absurd, and I even contemplated whether or not I should post my experience - because I didn't want the receptionist to get into trouble. As I am writing this, my roommates are snoring loudly. Which is hardly the hostels fault. The fact that I can easily see that people have been to the toilet is hardly the hostels fault either, I'm sure the person(s) cleaning are doing their best too. One of the things about the hostel that is nice is that the beds have a curtain, it doesn't go all the way, but it gives you like 70-80 percent privacy. Towels cost extra, slippers cost extra...Basically everything you can imagine will cost extra and if you want dry hands after washing them you have to be really good at shaking them vigourosly. The showers had decent waterpressure, but remember to bring your own soap.

Gasova Lampa is a unique and beautiful restaurant with a cool historical theme. The place is filled with old gas lamps, and the atmosphere is very cozy. We enjoyed the food, and the drinks served in test tubes were a fun touch. The view from the top floor was also amazing. A great spot to visit in Lviv!

What a cool place and so much history. It’s literally where the gas lamp was created and manufactured. So the whole place is filled with gas lamps. Wouldn’t say the smell is really pleasant. But it’s an experience. We had the shot tester that is brought in those ampules and the potato sausages fry. Very good. And look how they bring salt and pepper. You literally can grind up some fresh pepper.

Unique atmosphere, friendly staff and interesting way of serving, especially drinks. Food nice, but in the menu beside some dishes should be 'banana for a scale". Anyway, nice experience, and I'll be back with friends, when they stop to worry about war. Don't take me wrong - there IS war, but not in the Lviv.

Awesome place. Great history and great collection. I like the lamps and their theme. It was a little dark at first but it was quite fun to look at all the lamps. The service was very polite with decent English. There were a few pauses but nothing that would hinder our experience. We ordered fish but apparently it was too mushy so they made another one. (I thought both were delicious) We ordered sizzled chicken but there was no kitchen so they again, prepared another dish to make up for it. We ended up eating a lot more than planned. Everything tasted amazing nonetheless. I especially liked their deep fried lavash with cheese and their chicken wings. All of the sauced were very well balanced, not too milky and not too thick. Just perfect.

Amazing space and history involved with this place. Inside it’s like Alice in wonderland with hundreds of gas lamps and potions around every corner. Outside you’ve got a nice patio on a beautiful cobblestone street. The service must be hit or miss here though. For us it was a huge miss, which is a shame since we planned to come here to celebrate a birthday. But not bringing out a drink after 3 orders, bringing out ice cold varenyki was the nail in the coffin. They do make some great instagram worthy presentations and cocktails.

Actually the coffee place is situated in a really good place. It is a cool place for summer days. Their breakfast seems really good. Their filter coffee is ok, but V-60 is delicious with an acidic flavour. Cakes are really good. They say to you that you have to wait, but actually we did not wait so long, it was ok. One of the nice places to have your breakfast and coffee.

Nice cafe right behind the church. Coffee tastes good. There are some cakes. Apricot and raisin cake is delicious. Self-service and smoking is allowed outside. Little bit overpriced.

Tried one of their desserts - the orange cake - which was served with ice cream and marmalade with a mocha coffee. The cake was quite delicious and the coffee was OK. The atmosphere was nice during the late morning and allowed for pleasant private conversation.

The most popular coffee place in Lviv I guess. You may order here all kinds and sorts of coffee and buy coffee in the shop next to cafe. The owner is very much into coffee and travels around the world to coffee growing plantations to see and observe the process himself. The atmosphere is very cosy and tranquil. Though visitors are there all the time.

Beware. If you are an American they will think you're made of money and slip you the top shelf when you've asked for the medium. I'm a volunteer in this country. I hope it was worth it. ...and they never saw his face again.

Friendly and quaint bar, staff very friendly and made great recommendations for drinks. The whiskey cocktails are fantastic. Small upstairs, but there is more seating downstairs. The selection of Whiskey is vast, mainly Scottish but with a selection of whiskey from other countries like India, Japan and Canada! We will be back!

An interesting spot for elite whiskey enthusiasts—if you don’t mind outrageous markups. Prices are for 25 ml, though the pours should realistically be at least 50 ml for what you’re paying. The selection of blends isn’t extensive, though they do offer bourbons and single malts. The bartenders tend to push the priciest options. If you go for a tasting set, expect to pay around 1,200–1,500 UAH, and with snacks, the average bill easily hits 2,000 UAH. The food is decent but nothing extraordinary—certainly not worth the premium prices. This place caters to a niche crowd with well-above-average incomes.

Nice little bar and restaurant just outside of the main square. They have a huge whiskey selection and nice drink menu here. The food menu looked good too, but I didn’t try any this time. The staff here are very friendly and almost all of them are fluent in English. I got an old fashion. It was very tasty, I’d go back again.

This is a great place to visit in L’viv. It has a range of whiskeys you would struggle to find anywhere else in Ukraine and, frankly, in many other countries. On top of this, they serve really nice food, local and imported beers. Staff is very friendly and considerate. The owner can provide the expert advice on whiskeys from all over the world. The place is popular among locals, but also is well-attended by international and Ukrainians tourists, thus it is easy to meet interesting people over there. W were looking forward to try a few new for us whiskey. When we walked in, the bar basically was empty. Instead of offering us to settled down we were told that the bar is booked for someone else. Basically telling us that we are not important. We ended up ordering one round, and having a drink in the corner, but then we just walk away and moved on to another place. Disappointing as we saw not too bad collection on display.

A very good pub with crafts beer and a restaurant offering pizzas, beers and other soul foods. This place is super busy, so the only seat they could get me was the worst seat possible - in the narrow hallway in the back that everybody uses to walk through to the front. That meant that other customers and staff were bumping into me quite often. That aside, the quality of their beers and food is a second to none! I love to try local made beers and as a Czech, I can testify their beers are really worth it. The burger was fresh, meat well-prepared, great quality sweet bun and classic ingredients filling. The burger came with the side of fries, that I believe were home made, not frozen. The service was a bit under pressure, but they kept their composure and stayed professional - and I didn't even wait for the order too long, so all great on this front too. Ukrainians just keep showing they understand food and drinks for great prices. Please, keep it up. Slava Ukraini!

I've been visiting it since 2022 when in Lviv and like it a lot. Delicious food, nice drinks, decent prices.

Good place in the city center! Many interesting craft beers, nice black pizza. Not bad burgers. Good snacks! Fine prices! Amazing rock music! No mobile connection inside.

This is a perfect stop after a long day of enjoying Lviv. You have a small seating area along the street, but also seating inside ion two levels. If you like beer they have around 20 different kinds on tap in the basement.

Hashtag Lounge Bar is a place designed for hookah, cocktail and shot lovers. Standard cocktails like Whiskey sour or Clover club are not bad, but nothing more. More interesting are original cocktails, like such exotics as a hot cocktail Honey Milk Punch. There's food, too - salads, juicy burgers and desserts. I'd especially recommend the cheesecake - it has a creamy cheese layer spread on a base of cookie crumbs and topped with chocolate syrup. There are also a very large number of PS5 and PS4 games that you can play for free.

This place is pretty cool. It has a wide range of beers and the food is pretty good. I was out with three friends and it is pretty fun, regardless of your taste in music you'll probably hear a song you like whilst you are there. It isn't an uptight place but a nice place to hang with your friends and catch a beer.

It is a very nice pub to hang out with friends. I would not recommend it if you want to it something substantial but their beer and cocktails are great. Atmosphere and service is good, food not so much. Chicken burger is pretty nice, but has a piece of chicken breast instead of minced chicken meat. Beef salad was absolutely inedible! It amazed me how bad it was! Salad leaves smushed, they used frozen beans which were not prepared at all, dried tomatoes didn’t go with salad at all and those five pieces of beef was old and burned on one side. And on top of that they used soya sauce as a dressing!

Well, I extended it bellow and it is now one star instead of initial two. Cocktails were just usual and too expensive for this quality. Me and my friends ordered 4 different cocktails, I tried each one and was really disappointed. I can order similar in any pizza place for the half price. Also, stuff didn't let us move 2 chairs to sit at the table so we had to sit at the bar. Just a few minutes later, other visitors just moved the chairs to the exact same table we initially wanted. Moreover, glasses are cheap and are unpleasant to drink from comparing to other cocktail places near (e.g. Baczewski Restaurant, Sous Kafe) with the similar prices. Do not recommend this place for cocktails.

It's a really great place with a variety of lovely cocktails!!! Tasty food, excellent drinks, nice music, and the staff were all amazing. Water was always full, the service attentive and discreet with constant attention to guests. Try hummus with pita bread it's very yummy, so rich, creamy, and nutty, you'd be happy eating it with a spoon 😋 Rarely do we find a place where everyone is so friendly and genuinely seems happy to work there. I can't set for certain why I am drawn to this pub. Perhaps it is the flawless English of the owner Andrey, as well as his welcoming manner. Fabulous, old school jazz club: with small intimate dining tables, good food, great beer & cocktails; and of course top class entertainment with incredible musicians. Any group able to cover Miles Davis with such talent get my vote. I wish i could go back soon!

So you are walking down the park, and all off a sudden: a tower, with all the required things: like wifi, playstation, Xbox, fine cuisine, good drinks, and a great view upon the park. A stunning little msueum with incredibly delishes food at great prices. They have really good show case rooms and they are definitely worth the visit. The roof top view is amazing. Quite a panaramic veiw and you get to throw coins at the highest statue in the city.

Cozy, cheap, and efficient. Great bar food -sausages, wings, cold cuts, cheese platters and such. We will be back for more Lvivski beer at 26 uah per pint and delish fries. This place made my Lviv visit sane ( not all servers are nasty in this city and some do speak English).

Korzo has a great old world pub atmosphere. If you are looking for a place that you can relax and be casual while watching sports or hanging out after work the patio or inside are both very comfortable, sometimes rowdy, and definitely a good experience. I haven't tried the food yet, but it is one of the only places in Lviv that reliable sells Pilsner Urquell on tap so if you are looking for that most famous Czech beer, Korzo is for you.

The decorations were stunning. I love their greenhouse idea outside. Really bright and the songs of the birds were a great touch. It was all in all a very comfortable atmosphere to have lunch in. Their lemonade is fantastic. The food on the other hand wasn't as good as I had expected from a restaurant that was so well thought out. The taste someone blended together and it didn't taste as good. Their plating was fantastic though.

A great, tasty and different medieval meal experience. The place was full and a there was a bit long waiting line (around 10-20 mins) but the waiting was worth it. We ordered a meat (grill) and vegetables platter, baked potatoes, local beer and all was very tasty. Furthermore, the performance (like torture or punishment) with the executioner and a guest being introduced in a medieval cage was peculiar and fun.

Fancy modern restaurant focused on barbeque and meats with really nice garden to sit outside. They did not have ribs (???), so I basically gave up and only ordered a local craft beer and sat outside in the garden in between the medieval walls. Really nice and interesting beer, attentive and apologetic service, but slightly overpriced for Lviv's standards. But in any case - Slava Ukraini!

If you're in Lviv you have to try this. They offer a meat dish which is beef steak which is then sliced up in front of you by the "Executioner" . He will then feed you a morsel at a time dipping the meat into 1 of 4 pots of hot sauces, each in increasing intensity. Number 3 and 4 are not for the faint hearted and made my eyes water. But super delicious and wonderful and friendly as i found all of Ukraine 🇺🇦 and Lviv ❤️

A restaurant with really nice and calm athmosphere in the middle of the city. I tried the 100-days dry aged ribeye. It's size surprised me for 430g. It was ordered without sauce, but it was delivered in some sort of dressing, which made it hard to tell the taste of the steak. There where small leftovers from a charred wooden skewer in the steak. It was explained to me that it is from the normal processing. Management was not concerned, but they were so kind to give me free fries. The beer was nice and cold.

I recommend this restaurant to singles, couples and groups. Very cool old world looking atmosphere. Not cheap but... kinda worth the extra cost.

Their crossant was crispy on the outside and very fluffy in the inside. It was perfect. Their breakfast was decent too. I especially enjoyed their pancakes and other choices weren't too oily either. Tea was not as authentic as I had hoped it would be. Ironic for me as a Taiwanese, they had a section for just Taiwanese tea with Taiwanese pots and cups. That made me happy although it didn't taste all that Taiwanese.

Randomly bumped into this place while strolling around the old town, left this place feeling utterly satisfied. Delicious brunch food (had poached eggs and curd pancakes which were better than my grandma’s), cozy atmosphere with an old-fashioned interior and very pleasant service.

36Po is a very beautiful restaurant with a unique and stylish atmosphere. The interior is stunning, with a huge aquarium and lots of greenery, making it a special place to dine. We tried Borsh, and it was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and perfectly made. A great spot to enjoy delicious food in Lviv!

Too pricey for such mediocre food. None of the dishes was remarkable or special or simply reasonable, just something pretending to be high cuisine. Wine was good, but this is the only positive memory from the visit. A lot of money was spent on restaurant's place in the very center of old town, design, advertising and so on, and it's a pity how it feels only a year after it was opened: dust here and there, hair in food, lack of English menu, you name it. Also, бограч isn't that spicy as it should be and as you can get in a restaurant few buildings away.

This place has an amazing interior but at the same very relaxing and cozy. We had a wonderful time on the terrace with an amazing view. The food has been delivered relatively quickly, and waiters have very nice embroidered t-shirts and dresses!

An absolutely stunning, newly renovated venue. Each floor (5 or 6 of them total, I think) features a different decor & design. There are 3 patios with incredible views. The food was decent. Prices are good. There is an English menu here.

I met Masoch in 2012, and it’s still my favorite place in the world. I remember the names of all the waitresses and waiters. I practically lived at Masoch when I was in Ukraine. I stayed in the country for a few months and went to Masoch every single day I was there. I hope you remember me with the same affection and love that I remember you. I had an amazing experience when I visited a few years ago and tried delicious braised bull's testicles in balsamic sauce. This time, unfortunately, it's being renovated, so the basement is closed, Masoch's statue is gone, and there are only a few tables. It feels like a normal cafe with a BDSM-themed gift store now. Hope the old atmosphere of the place will stay the same after the renovation.

Great concept, location and rooms. Only downside is breakfast isn't served until 10am which is far too late. They did say we could have it in the evening before instead which was quite weird, but ok. We'd definitely stay again anyway, maybe without breakfast

The cocktails were great and the stuff very friendly. As for me it was too loud. As well if you would like to choose "spicy special offers" like out of experience things, people put out phones and shoot videos. I mean, it would make it better if filming is prohibited. That stopped us from staying there longer. As well I did like music but really expected more sophisticated things.

Cocktails came a bit late but waitresses both served the drinks and supplied customers with a lot of ‘amusement’ so it’s quite understandable. Also you really don’t mind waiting extra few minutes when you can watch a guy getting candle melted on his bare chest or watching another getting ice cubes in his undies. Me and my friend got whipped pretty hard which is definitely an unforgettable memory. Add this place to visit guys you won’t regret.

I usually don't leave bad reviews but this was just so bad... Came in and waited in the corridor for like 5 minutes not knowing what to do, staff just passed by us. Felt like we are ghosts. Maybe it has something to do with us being foreigners? Theme is cool but really lacks service. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. Instead we went to gas lamp themed cafe which provided amazing service and everything was tasty.

Been here twice now, one of the few places that understands coeliac and gluten free. There are at least 3 GF main and several cakes. Everything is natural and healthy. Very helpful and accomdating staff. The ambiance is nice and it is spotlessly clean. See you again tomorrow.

I must say I just came today to this beautiful city and I’m always looking for Vegan restaurants and this one is amazing!!! Huge plates; good prices (no expensive) and the place is very cool! You must try desserts; those are unbelievable tasty!!!! They also have mini vegan store where you can find some chips, peanuts butter, and others and even “cheese” and “milk” don’t think twice! I’m so glad I’ve found it 🤗

Went here today and had the curry (which was very tasty but could use a bit more spice) and also a vegan milkshake. I was surprised how good the milkshake tasted. As a tourist I liked that they have an English menu available. Staff also speaks good enough English so ordering was not a problem.

Very good vegan and vegetarian food! Would give it 5 stars if they mention exactly what goes into the food process (outside the obvious). One person in my party got an allergic reaction to the breading/crust of the tofu. They did not seem to know what or how it was made to figure out what triggered it. Outside of this scare, food is very fresh and good. If you have allergies make sure you ask exactly what you are getting and what you are allergic to.

I was so happy to come to this vegan restaurant in L’viv! It has a wonderful patio and the food was excellent! The staff was very professional and also very friendly. The next day I came back for their vegan pancakes!🤩🥞 Excellent smoothies and juices too!

He went and talked to the waitress and they said they would bring us chairs to the bar! We waited 15min while the waitress kept coming asking what we will drink even though we kept saying that we will not order until we have a place to sit! The chairs came, and guess what, they were normal sized chairs under a bar (go figure). My order was the lamp and since this is a themed cocktail bar (otherwise why should I pay 230hrivnia for a cocktail in Lviv), I was expecting the cocktail to come properly. But no, he brought the bulb out from the desk lamp because was broken! When I asked to change the lamp they really hesitated, which I still don't get, and after 10min they brought the new one!

Friends Cafe is my go-to in Lviv! The syrnyky are heavenly, the chicken melt is perfection, and the cozy vibe plus friendly service seals the deal. I’ll always come back here!

Had breakfast here this morning and it was lovely. Just off the Ploscha Rynok by half a block, you walk down a hallway to the cafe in a lovely courtyard. Here it is quiet and serene away from the hustle bustle of the city. Delicious coffee was followed by two excellent breakfast dishes with veggies, avocado and eggs which were super fresh, well prepared, presented, and tasty. Highly recommended. We will be back tomorrow for more!

So good! Cutely decorated and friendly English speaking service. Menu has English and has lots of great options, predominantly vegetarian but still great meat options. Also really loved the music. Breakfast menu available until 1200. All three things we ordered were excellent. I really loved the Vienna sausage breakfast, very tasty and filling. The lime/mango pancakes were also extremely delicious but felt a bit small. Lots of seats. Free wifi. Toilet available.

The food and coffee here was amazing. Also the servers were very friendly. We came back almost every day during our stay because we loved the food so much. I really enjoyed the honey raf coffee, the fruit oatmeal (not pictured), and the guacamole toast.

The concept here is very simple: you give the cook a framework within which to operate, e.g., "giblets, but no brain, and make it spicy" and let them do their magic. We have been here four times now, and were never disappointed. Quite the contrary. The food was always unique and very tasty. So, we cannot possibly recommend this restaurant quite enough and consider it an absolute must-have experience whilst in Lviv.

This is a High quality kitchen. If you want to have an unusual meal choosing experience - this place is for you. They don't have menu which makes it more special and with accordance to your needs and preferences. The best part is - they always surprise you. It's always tasty and they make sure you have a good quality time. I love the interior of the place. It looks super cozy during the winter, with charming music and warm lights. What was also very appealing is that they don't have a loud noisy advertisement shouting "come and eat here". Very interesting concept: if you are looking for a traditional menu with clear categories and prices this place will be the wrong one. But if you love improvisation, new experience and food — must visit! The atmosphere is nice, so is the interior. The main concept is “no menu”, qualified cooks will chat with you for a while and come up with a unique meal specially for you. Don’t worry, they will tell you the price once the meal is finalized. We had a salad and a pasta, and both were delicious. Definitely recommend!

The restaurant has got quite an unusual concept - no menus and you just have to match your imagination with what a chef can actually cook with the available products. I was looking for any part of a duck and I was not disappointed with a duck leg. My companions did not know what they wanted and followed the chef’s recommendation with fish dishes. I overheard a person at the table next us where a guy wanted to order spring rolls and had to find a consensus with a chef on a substitute which I understood he was quite happy with ))) overall very interesting experience, great food and you can bet it is not precooked ))) and don’t miss to have a cocktail on the terrace with a lovely view. They serve a great flat white here. Also, Kredens has their own music station that is enjoyable to listen to. The internet connection is pretty strong, but it cuts you off every hour or so and you have to log back on. It's a little annoying to be working on something and get cut off abruptly, but once you realize that all you have to do is go back to the log-on window and re-press the log-in button then it becomes pretty quick and easy.

Too bad, but the establishment is most overvalued. I personally think that they are trying too hard to serve the tourist in a way that does not fit in such a beautiful city as Lviv. My advice is to focus more on the ukrainian people and to share that focus with the tourists. The prices in relation to the served quality are far too high and the service is not really hospitable.

Great pub, but they have a copy of Mein Kampf in the bar, which is questionable considering the name of the establishment. Considering 50% of the patches in the wall are from Europeans who's grandparent's fought the nazis, it feels weird.

Congratulations to the Winston Churchill Pub for my first negative review. The first time I came here, the food was great (I had a lovely steak) and the staff, as I remember, were quite friendly. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case today. Possibly the worst poured pint of Guinness I’ve ever seen in my life. That coupled with staff who were preoccupied with their phones made this a fairly miserable ten minute experience. I asked to pay without having touched the drink and the staff happily took my money. I will put this experience down to poor staff rather than a bad pub as the pub itself looks great and is brilliantly located. Sunday 2nd July 18:45.

Food quality makes it 3 or maybe 4; the location, ambience and service are really so good that they earn the last stars from me; my brother and I had a blast here by playing a game. We set a rule that we had to quote Churchill before or during every order or had to buy the round; the staff got a kick out of it and had a blast with us. Great crew that are willing to have fun. They ripped me off. Charged me 300 UAH instead of 250 UAH (which was listed on theirs menu) for the old fashions I ordered. If you’re not Ukrainian, then beware, these dishonest bartenders will attempt to steal your money.

terrible service, very unfriendly, was waiting for my cocktail 40 min while my friends already finished theirs. and then waitress just said sorrry with a poker face. would not recommend for a visit.

One of the best cocktail bar in a town. The food is very unique and delicious. The coloboration of local products and some modern ideas are going to explode your mind.

If you come here only for cheesecakes, they are amazing here, wide variety of breakfasts as well, atmosphere is cost in the center of Lviv, you can enjoy view to Rynok Square from there, try cheesecake with currant and lemon one. I just didn’t like the service much, they can bring coffee then cheesecake after 10 min, try to get the waiter the guy in glasses, he’s very good. And to get in is a bit complicated coz intercom (you have to press 1) doesn’t work sometimes

The cakes and everything look so wonderful The service was very fast, and the manager packed me everything that I wanted as a take away very fast The staff were also clean and friendly The cookies taste nice, but the marshmallow one (the non-macaroon) was okay, but less good than the macaroon. I have not tried the cheese cake but they looked so good and I would definitely come back to taste a slice

This is a true GEM for cheesecake fans. Some unique interior ideas and concepts were incorporated here. We've been here twice and didn't get disappointed! You will find infused water on your table(very rare for Ukraine). Delicious meals, amazing cheesecakes, cozy atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. If you love coffee, cocoa, tea or kombucha - that's the place! Also, you can enjoy the outstanding downtown views and chill on the soft bench near the window. Would visit it again and definitely recommending!

We went there only because my friend said they have the tastiest croissants in Lviv. We waited for someone to take our order for half an hour, and then it turned out all the pastries had sold out 10 minutes earlier 🤦🏻‍♀️ We left the place without anything. The service is just terrible. Maybe they really do have tasty croissants, but I guess we’ll never know.

Truly, one of the best cafes I've visited. Great view, amazing brunch options, and possibly the best cheesecakes not just in Lviv, but in the Ukraine. Highly recommend to try the Raspberry-Parmesan cheesecake, as well as the avocado and edamame toast (order extra salmon - it's just too good). Great atmosphere and amazing food altogether.

I loved the ambiance and design the most. If you're sitting at the window-table you'll definitely enjoy the most gorgeous view of Market Square. Regarding the food and drinks. The tea that we ordered was just average. We tried Raspberry Parmesan cheesecake, the taste is interesting, worth trying, but if you're trying to stay fit one piece for 2 is enough and the prices are above average. 😁 during current situation with Covid-19 the way the Q is handled should be better since there's a lot of people waiting at the entrance without any social distancing. Overall, nice place to try.
