The atmosphere is nice and friendly. The waitress was a bit rude when we were setting the reservation but all seems well.throughout dinner. Food was good but could do with some minor improvements. All in all an ok experience.

We found this place while walking. We loved here. I suggest you their vegetable risotto, dumplings, polish cheesecake, sandwich with pear and goat cheese. Staff was friendly, prices are very reasonable. It’s on the most well-known street with good quality of food. We paid around 10€ per person.

Great little restaurant. Decor is very traditional not sure whether it is to attract the tourists but nevertheless food was delicious, menu is in English and waitresses speak English too. So all in all had a great time for a bargain price. Great location too so definitely recommending

The food was good but the customer service made me feel not welcome and uncomfortable. I came with guests and was ashamed for such a service. I will never go there again despite the food quality. Lady waitress should rather stayed st home.

Cute little restaurant in the city center with traditional Slovak meals and interior which showcases traditional Slovak style. The staff was helpful and very friendly even during peak hours and when the restaurant was full. I definitely recommned this place. ✅

Absolutely delicious melt in mouth food. Good price and service. Loved the Halushky for starters. Pork cheeks with mash n beetroot. For dessert had the cheese filled dumplings with raspberries... tot the real pieces of fruit in the cider was a nice touch. Do go for it in this cosy gem.

Villa Regia is a cozy spot in the center of Košice with a warm, rustic atmosphere. The pork ribs were excellent — tender, juicy meat with a well-balanced, slightly sweet and spicy glaze. Served with grilled corn and pickled cucumbers, the dish was both hearty and well-presented. One downside: only one type of beer was available. For a restaurant of this level, the drink selection felt too limited.

Best bryndzové halušky ever! The cheese was incredibly tasty and you couldn't stop eating it. The oyster mushroom was excellent as well! Fully recommend this place.

We were really excited to try the restaurant as heard good feedback. However, when we arrived at 21:30 and asked if the restaurant is still open [note: they do accept orders until 22:15 and are open until 23:00], the older female waiter stared at me for 10 seconds with a death stare ih her eyes, and then reluctantly said yes in a mean and unfriendly tone, and then left to go smoke without seating us. We left and won't be coming back. This was all in Slovakia language, so no language barrier

My wife and I were in Kosice for a wedding and arrived a day earlier so we could experience a bit of Slovakia. From start to finish our stay at Villa Regia was amazing, our room was lovely, and all the staff we so friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent and I would recommend trying some of the traditional Slavik dishes there. To top it off, we had an early flight and the staff made us sandwiches which we were given when we left. Thank you Villa Regia, we will be back!

Convenient place to have lunch (traditional slovak food); the serving was fast, the dill soup was amazing, but the rest was super salty (the papricas, they oyster mushroom plate and the veal as well).

When I'm in Kosice i always go here for lunch. They used to have daily menu, now they swich to weelky menus, you have at least 5 options to choose from and also daily soup as well. Food is excellent, fresh and well cooked. Staff is very profesional and helpfull.

I looove this concept!! Perfect for on the go. Had the lentil soup with the tumeric (?) cup, absolutely fenomenal. My friend had the tomato soup, didn’t like it too much, taste was a bit bland in our opinions. Will definitely come back to try the other soups/dishes they have to offer

Oh, how I love I love this place. We were only here for 2 days and ate lunch here twice. The soup was so delicious and was fun to eat. We have nothing like this in Australia 😢 The staff were fantastic to with explaining everything. Thanks for such fantastic food.

Excellent concept ! Here you can have 4/5 different tasty soups in different type of bread comestible bowl. We were satiated after one soup : we tried the mushrooms one and one with Bryndza (local sheep/goat cheese). Very nice place in Košice !

Very nice place, even if is small inside. They have different kind of soup ( beans, broccoli, cheese, cabbage) and the prove is around 4.50€! I recommend it

For a Friday night it was busy. I had arrived from America and what a divine meal to start my visit. The vegetarian options are utterly delightful. I loved that you served nonalcoholic beer. Birell. It was very good. A must visit in Slovakia.

The place is really cozy and aesthetically pleasing, service nice and food tasty. One thing is that it’s quite expensive and takes a long time to wait for food. I only had tea and it was tasteless and cost 3,60€.

Camelot in Košice has a really nice atmosphere – the medieval-themed interior is cozy and unique, which makes it a cool place to visit at least once. The service was decent, and the staff were polite, but honestly, the experience didn’t quite live up to the price. The biggest downside for me was the portion sizes compared to the cost. For the prices they charge, I expected either more food or something a bit more special in terms of flavor. Unfortunately, the portions were quite small, and while the food was good, it definitely wasn’t anything extraordinary to justify the high price tag. It’s a nice spot if you’re after an interesting setting and don’t mind spending a bit extra for the atmosphere,

Popped into Camelot - Pilsner Pub & Medieval Restaurant after dinner for a quick beer, and had a really unique experience! They only have one type of beer, but serve it with different amounts of foam — never seen that before. It was fun and definitely enjoyable.

When I first saw the name, I expected a bit more of medieval since Camelot brings to mind King Arthur. It wasn't what I expected as an atmosphere, but still, it's a great spot. The food was amazing. Vegetables fresh and chicken very juice. Service was good, but one server didn't know english, and when I asked for the different types of beer they serve, he told me he didn't understand and brought me the regular draft beer anyway. I'd definitely go again though. In the end it was a tasty meal and a pleasant experience with a beautiful view next to the window.

This place was so good. They had a variety of food selections. The two of us shared a mixed sampler selection of meats and vegetables with a side of onion rings. It was delicious.... a lot of food! Our waitress, even with the language barrier dud a great job of steering us in good directions with our choices!

I came out with bitter feelings. The food was good but the service was not so. I was seated at a small table in the corner. It was so dark I had to use my flash light to read the menu. They never told me there was a lamp on the table or turned it on. I had to figure Iit out. I ordered a glass of wine and thought it was a generous pour. Well, they doubled the amount without telling me AND charged accordingly, which is dishonest. I observed the wait staff wasn't particularly friendly to other guests. So I don't feel that I was taken advantage of for being a foreign visitor. But either way it was disappointing.

Visiting Košice for the first time. Saw the excellent reviews so my wife and I decided to give it a try. We found the food to be outstanding! The mushroom soup and escargot appetizers were great to start. Our mains were the seasonal sea bass and regular menu sea bream- both extremely well prepared and tasty! We wrapped up with the wonderful chocolate lava cake and ice cream! Service was top notch as was our entire meal and experience! Highly recommend!

Cozy restaurant with very friendly waiters. From starters to dessert everything was very yummy. Would have given 5 stars for the cuisine but for the carrots with the venison which seemed canned carrots. But that doesn’t diminish the experience and good food we had.

I was there after a dinner with client. Three of my colleagues and I were there. I had one beer and the others ordered the sample package where they can try out all beer in small amount. Everything was perfect. The space look nice, maybe a bit noisy but there were a lot of people so it was understandable. We didn't order food but the waitress a bit slow. All in all we were satisfied.

The oldest brewery in Slovakia. A very touristic place and thus less authentic. Brewery offers about six types of beer, not all of them a hit for my taste. There is a food menu. The food level is reasonable, nothing more. Average level service. Location in the heart of the old city.

Tasty food, different beer than in other pubs, special hockey food specialities. Food was good but long wait for the waiters, we were almost about to leave because of the long waiting time just for order next round. We were a group of 10 people and nobody came for a long time, all the glasses were empty. The waiters were nice but probably not enough staff or what was the problem.

We had the beer degustation selection, with some appetizers and fish and chips. The beers were good, but to be honest I had better ones from smaller breweries. The food was really good especially the appetizers, but also decent fish and chips. The service was fast, pleasant and they spoke English.

Great beer list! Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I also had a veggie burger, which was very tasty...and so large I couldn't finish it! The basil mayo (you get a choice of dipping sauce for your fries) was so good I would happily bathe in it! So much food that I had to head home to lie down afterwards! Brilliant!

Was very exited to finally visit this place after so many recommendations. From the first sight atmosphere was really nice, but after we’ve been served by the waitress dressed on too short skirt🤦‍♀️ It was that short, that we all saw everything🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ She was behaving like she was looking for some customers for own business…. Even food didn’t save situation, we’ve got really bad experience visiting this place after so many expectations…. Beautiful brewery in the centre of Kosice frequented by young locals and others. Somewhat limited choice of dishes, all a little 'American' style, but all in all well done. Excellent beer and prompt and courteous service, including good English.

The selection of beer is amazing: honey, strawberry, mango, citrus or other tastes. The food is also great! And of course, all goes with a wonderful company - that is only up to you. If you are beer and rural kind of person and love freedom and cosines then this place is just for you!

Really good beer and food. We tried a few beers and ate the Slovakian classic - smazeny syr with french fries, and also Cezar salad. Both dishes were reasonably priced and exceptionally tasty. Perfect for a longer visit, to try more of the beer and food :)

Place was nice but it was nothing compare to the waitress. She was very nice, recommended us the beer eactly for our taste and was constantly asking if we need something. Literally one of the best service i received in my life. I got the burger and itwas very tasty juicy and bun was soft. We also got tacos, one with pulled pork was good but beef and chicken were just ok. In our opinion just 3 tacos with pulled pork would be better. There is like constantly 20 beers of various kinds on tap. I think no more comment is neede on that. There was also calcetto (table football) which we also liked a lot. All in all this is one of the best pubs not just in Kosice.

Recommend place by a friend and it is just awesome place - over 20 beers on tap, one better than other and the food - whole other level. I had Pastrami chilli cheese fries and it was perfect. Will definitely return for some more.

Cosy pub with a warm atmosphere on a side street along the main shopping street. Lots of space and a decent amount of dishes on offer and they had English translations. The halušky was delicious, it was creamy with just enough bacon. The breaded chicken with cornflakes unusual but nice too. My friends said the grilled cheese was lukewarm and the vegetarian dish was a little greasy. Staff were polite, although the person who served us forgot our drinks order and we had to remind him. Overall, we'd come again.

Truly terrible. This was some of the worst food I ever ate at a restaurant in my life, even if it may look nice from a glance. I felt sick after eating here. The ribs were dry as a bone and had no flavor. The risotto was disgusting, very weird flavor combination, with completely the wrong texture. The bread for the beef Tatar were soaked in oil, which made me feel sick. The duck liver in the potato pancake had a weird taste. They didn’t feel fresh. They were also cooked in a bad way. They prices are also way too high. Even the water was expensive. The only decent thing is the atmosphere and the friendliness of the waiters, but they can’t compensate bad management and cooks. There seemed to be also locals coming here, so I don’t think it’s a tourist trap. Why they come here is beyond me though. Maybe the cook changed at some point and it was better in the past?

We are in Kosice for a bunch of days and for tonight dinner we decided to visit this pub! The place has a good atmosphere with great 80's music and similar. There are lot of tables and the service is elevated. Waiters are really kind and patient. We ordered a beer, the goulash, pork ribs, duck liver and a rooster soup. Water Is free. Everything was DELICIOUS, aboundant and well plated. Prices are lined with the good quality. ~45€ tot Rate 10/10! We really hope to return one day Thank you!!

A perfect restaurant that offers plenty of space for celebrations and various events. The gazebo seating on the terrace caters to different group sizes. Friendly staff. Fast and high-quality service. The food is beautifully presented and tastes excellent. I rate it very positively and recommend it to anyone who enjoys relaxing with good food and beer in a pleasant atmosphere.

Sometimes it is good to spoil yourself and get some breakfast outside. As we were on the road, we decided to do so and had breakfast in Gesto in Košice. They start to serve at 7 am, and the breakfast menu is quite wide. Whether you like something sweet or salty, they have it all. We wanted to have some eggs and they prepare it in various forms. We ordered an omlet with feta cheese and spinach. It was a good start for the day and in the end, we did not resist having a freshly baked croissant with a cappuccino. If you are looking for a good way to start your day, we can recommend this place when you are in Košice.

The most amazing salad in Košice, all of them are delicious, they have a unique perfectly matching dressing, even the bread it’s amazing. Also the breakfast offering is great. As an espresso tonic lover with a high expectations I can only praise it here.

The service was kind and attentive. The salad was excellent – the salmon perfectly cooked, juicy, and the dressing very tasty.

A few visits in the middle of summer convinced me that this place is tasty. The prices are adequate and even low, especially if we take advantage of the menu they propose from Monday to Friday. Manu is so complete that you don't have to be afraid to come here for lunch or dinner.

This is an excellent place for Mediterranean cusisine! All the dishes were spot on in terms of flavors and balance. Highly recommended if you are in the vicinity of Košice town. Service was exceptional as the lady who was serving us was patient and had a perpetual smile throughout service.

I came here based on the high ratings posted by other diners. Apparently the food here is delicious. I'm afraid this wasn't the case for me. In my view my dish was just average and didn't really do anything for me. Much like the service. Not much else to say really. What restaurant owners need to be very weary of is the following two questions. Now as a customer I ask myself "Would I come back here?". For this restaurant...No I won't be coming back here again. Secondly, would I recommend this restaurant to a friend? I'm afraid not.

Nice little bar and off licence. Small selection of local craft beers on tap and in the fridge. Big selection of wine and beer line the walls inside. A few tables for drinking outside too.

One of my favorite cafes in Košice. I just love the theme of the place, contributes greatly to the atmosphere. You can also sit outside in a small courtyard which offers the right amount of privacy. It is small but really cosy hidden away from the racket of the promenade.

I have visited this place like three times. To tell the truth, I love to sit outside in the passage area, this is the reason I return here and not for the coffee. Not a crowded place, you wont get disturbed by people walking around. Calm area with an athmosphere, also quite good music. Takes you away a bit from Košice.

Nice cozy coffee place, ideal for pairs, small groups or just when one wants to read a book in a not so crowdy place. But when you play a music from a Spotify playlist in a place like this, you should buy a premium :)

Loved the food, we had a great dinner here. most of the dishes are designed for sharing. Overall really great flavors. The mezze were excellent, the fluffy bread rolls with herbs were to die for. The grilled lamb was incredible. They have some interesting items on the menu, such as ostrich, oysters or crayfish. Pretty food presentation. Do not skip dessert, the basque cheesecake was delicious. The menu is mostly meat but vegetarians will eat here very well, too. The side dishes are very creative, they know how to cook veggies in such interesting way. They make their own fermented lemonades and veggies. They have craft beer on tap, thumbs up for the local natural wines. Very good service. The one thing that could be improved was the outdoor seating - quite ugly.

What a place! Such a variety of dishes - and everything I’ve tried has been top notch (I can’t stop ordering the ribs though 😊). My favorite ribs in Košice. The Smoked Old Fashioned is unique and hits the spot! Even a couple healthy dishes for their always welcomed canine patrons. Great place for larger party events too. Greatly improved menu compared to the past. Interesting tastes. We had a mix of small meals to taste as much as possible and everything was very tasty. Additionally the service was very attentative to our needs and helpful.

This is probably my favorite place to eat in Košice. The food is consistently amazing. The atmosphere is wonderful. I really love sitting on the terrace. We even enjoy the nights they have live music. The music playing when it’s not a live music night is wonderful. I highly recommend stoping here, even if you are just in town for a short while.

Great place to eat when visiting košice, the smell of the charcoal grill at the entrance tells you all you need to know. Meat! The tartare steak starter had a special japanese touch to it, refreshing. We had the special (steak) it was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Our other starter were oysters done in different styles, had 3, wish they had more to try but they were out. Sides were almost as big as a main dish! Careful not to order too many… cocktails were really special, well presented and very tasty.

I was very disappointed with this place. I ordered a frappe and specifically asked what it contained- no one mentioned sugar, not even the waiter. When I realized it was full of sugar, I asked to change it, and they brought me one without sugar. To my surprise, the owner charged me for both frappes, even though I only drank one. We went here recently for a later dinner and were surprised very positively about the quality of the service and the food. The staff was very polite and quick, the food was prepared in 14 mins and it was awesome. We went for local wine and it was fine. Payment by card is possible. No reservation is needed. Restrooms are clean. All check & anytime again. ####update 13.05.2023#### We came back for dinner and for breakfast next morning. The quality and service are still awesome. Thank you folks, you are doing an outstanding job! 👏

The food was tasty. Bistro is placed on a corner of intersection, but it is not really crowded so it is still pretty nice. Unfortunately, there was one thing that threw us away so much that we did not decide to try some more of the menu. I feel like as soon as waitress learned that we are Polish, she started to treat us worse.

Honestly the best ramen in Kosice, and for a good price too! Hochija and matcha were really nice, ramen and was suuuper well made and felt like a warm hug. Also ordered mochi but it didn't have too much taste, probably because it was store bought. The interior is really fun and especially if you like anime ;) would highly recommend ! The best atmosphere I've felt inside a restaurant. The cook is Japanese so the ramens taste amazing. Really kind staff. Although the menu used to be bigger, it's quite small at the moment, with lots of items missing as compared to some years ago.

One of the best restaurants in Košice by a mile. The food here is fantastic and we are always happy after coming here!! Delightfully kind staff, and the atmosphere is quiet and calm. There are options for vegetarians and vegans, and the waitress is happy to speak English, and is just really lovely and helpful generally. Although they are only open for lunch, it’s well worth a visit if you can especially if you are craving ramen!

This place is magical, you open a door and suddenly you’re feel like in Japan. It’s simple but cosy and absolutely lovely -there are plants everywhere, food it’s delicious, authentic taste of ramen and the matcha tonic was the best one I ever had in my life. The staff is very nice too. There are also some Japanese sweets available, like different kinds of mochi or interesting kitkat flavours. This place deserves 6 stars ✨!

This hotel is in a great location easily walkable to the main square where you'll find all the bars, coffee shops restaurants etc However the hotel itself lets itself down. This is what I found. The onsite restaurant cooks throughout the day and the smell of soup,goulash or stew permeates through the hotel. The reception is 24 hour (if they're there?) and they have snacks and drinks available. The corridor leading to the rooms has no lights so at night be careful. The rooms are big have their own bathroom but are getting a bit shabby. The curtains must've been too long as someone has trimmed them to fit but now they are fraying. Our room overlooked the road and was noisy so having the window open was impossible. We were there for 4 nights the room wasn't cleaned in that time, I did ask reception for it to be done. Cosmetics in the bathroom need improvement only shower gel and a bar of soap, they need to include shampoo. Breakfast is on offer at 7€ but you have to book the night before ( I didn't go to breakfast so can't comment) One other thing the walls aren't too thick so you can hear your neighbours, especially if they're doing stuff!!!!!!

The hotel is in an amazing location, 5 minutes from the city centre. Rooms are clean alongside the bathroom. The elder gentleman at the reception was amazing, friendly and hospitable. Price was good and would most certainly visit again!!!

The hotel is in a great location. However the single room for solo travelers was too small. There was no kettle for boiling water. No water provided. The facilities were under maintenance. The hospitality from the staff was perfect.

Stopped in for a quick coffee and we were pleasantly surprised. This is actually a specialty coffee shop, not just in name. Delicious batch brew and cappuccino, and the banana bread was moist and delicious! Excellent customer service and highly recommend stopping in for a coffee!

Košice simply needs places like this. Excellent coffee, beautiful minimalist interior, simple design, great atmosphere, nice location and a good barista. He knows what he's talking about and is well thought out. I have been planning to visit this place for a long time and I am glad I visited it. Espresso is top.

I have looked for the perfect cup of coffee all over the world for the past 10 years. I have tried world champion baristas' coffee in Hong Kong, New York, Zurich, Barcelona, Melbourne, Wellington, London... And still this coffee is one of the best I've had in my life. Flat White, Ethiopia beans, 28/07/2025. The first 5 sips all gave me visible goosebumps.

We went for a wedding that was beautifully organized. Nice decoration, food, service. All members of staff were really helpful before and during our stay. Very nice forest and walks around the hotel. The room has everything that you need. Hopefully we will be able to go again!

Family of 5 (6,4,1). We spent here 1 night. Everything was ok. Room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed ourselves in swimming pool. I regret, we were not able to enjoy outdoor playground due the weather. Definitely, we will visit again if we will be nearby.

It is not a realy four stars hotel. The room is very small, their spa is not realy a spa ( very, very small for all guest and limited use for 2 hours/ day). We booked a weekend there and we did not know they have a weading organised in that period. We could not have lunch at the hotel because of the weading and the city is far , so we left earlier .Is not a place to go back.

Firstly the positives, the wellness centre & masseur were great. One suggestion though would be to have certain hours for adults only maybe, children running around & screaming is not the most relaxing atmosphere. Otherwise it was very nice. The room was nice and clean. That evening when we went to dinner the staff were lovely. The food was disappointing however, I expected more for this quality of hotel, and it was a similiar situation at breakfast the following morning.

The food here was really good. My boyfriend had the mixed grill, and he loved it. One of the best meals he has had. I had the special double burger (medium) with fries and coleslaw. I don't understand why there is such a difference in the ingredients of the same soup. I always order beef broth. Everything was always great, but not today. We had a cheap apartment locally (with poor kitchen facilities) so we splashed out on a steak dinner. We chose the 3 different cuts of steak to share, had it with chips and grilled vegetables plus a tasty bottle of Argentinian red. It was quite busy and buzzy (later arrivals were airline crew) and the service was friendly. The steak was plentiful, cooked perfectly and it was the best steak dinner we've had since Buenos Aires 15+ years ago. And €45 each was cheap vs London prices.

We had an amazing dinner at this steakhouse! Our waiter, Peter, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout the evening. Definitely one of the top luxurious places in Košice well-known to everyone. Professional staff that is doing everything to make you pay as much as you can (not a complaint, it’s understandable). We waited almost 1 hour for food which staff took advantage of to offer us expensive shots (one shot costs more than lunch menu in Prague) to fill the waiting. Prices are high, 1 meal is around 25€. Food tasted supreme though, sizes could’ve been bigger, interior looked amazing (not modern though) this place is surely a must-have visit at least once.

The worst coffee of our lives, I think this was the first time ever I did not finish my coffee. Gas station coffee is better than what they serve here. We gave the coffee back and they did not charge us for it, the waitress handled the situation quite well. We had breakfast here, both the cheese omelette and the bun roll with ham were very good. Too bad they forgot the ham (it was good even without, we only noticed the ham was missing when we were half way through eating it. We did not complain about it as we wanted to leave asap.) The restaurant is cozy yet has very classy decor. Menu was varied. I was somewhat challenged by menu as am a vegetarian and don’t enjoy beets. While I enjoyed my entree the least, the other five were very happy with their choices. Two had the mushroom soup before entree. Theirs is a sour soup (sauerkraut juice and not cream based). Having had same elsewhere, they both declared it was the best. One had the filet which she really enjoyed, but could not eat it all due to size being larger than most filet mignons. Eight year old declared the spaetzle as the best thing she has ever eaten. And that comes from the most pickiest of eaters. And I cannot remember Four in group had desserts with no complaints. We all agreed that it was the best meal experience in the past four days of vacation.

I accidentally ordered non alcoholic beer since my slovakian is a bit rusty and had to ask for a "real one". They had Pilsner Urguell on tap but it wasn't in a menu. Can get crowded during lunch.

Had lunch here twice during my stay in Kosice... Service was prompt and excellent, despite quite large bookings on both occasions. I had pastas on both occasions and they were really good. Pizzas looked amazing as well.

I ordered seafood pizza and the seafood was chewy, dough was watery - it reminded me of wet bread. Small octopuses were definitely not cooked properly. It seemed like they put frozen seafood on dough and got it all baked for a few minutes and then the pizza soaked the water from it.

I went into the restaurant and wanted to ask if I could sit down to eat. There were two people behind the counter and another waiter walked by, but none of them even looked at me or said a word. I had one wrap and my gf the English breakfast wrap. The former lacked flavor. The latter was a bit better as it had a sausage and something more to add flavor to it. The food took very long, although there were us and two other people in the café. The music was also extremely loud, and they were not able to turn it down since it was their boss who remotely controlled it. Visited this morning. They were pretty packed with two tables free, we wanted to stop for a quick coffee and some soft drink. It took them half an hour to bring our order since ordering. Not that they had so much to do but just that there were 4 women at the counter and three of them were talking to eachother very loudly the whole time and only one girl was working. She brought us the menu, took our order and also brought it to our table, we saw the same for all other customers. Coffee was burnt probably due to high temperature setting on the coffee machine. Coke was good. Raise to the girl in the white blouse, she rocks.

I'm so very happy that we stopped for dinner at that beautiful restaurant. Located on the main street of Kosice it stood out with it's rustic design, so attractive from the inside and out. Please beware though - we were a family group of 12 seated indoors in a room within the restaurant and two men were seated at the table next to us who started harassing us and asking for money. They seemed to have a relationship with the restaurant and when we complained that we were uncomfortable, the restaurant did nothing to move them or ask them to stop harassing us.

Good solid Indian food, not fancy but genuin. I had a Punjab chicken tikka masala. Medium spicy (tourist spicy😀) The Naan was not the best but OK. With a better Naan it would be a 4 star rating.

Lots of seating outside is available on warm days in a quiet courtyard where one can sit surrounded by lots of plants and flowers, the inside is located on two floors, also tastefully decorated in Indian style with Indian music playing in the background so one can get the full experience. The staff is very friendly and welcoming and helpful. I love this place and will definitely return next time.

We’ve visited Taj Mahal in Košice multiple times and it’s always a fantastic experience. The food is absolutely delicious, the service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. Everything was perfect every time we came. We’ll definitely be back again whenever we’re in Košice!

It was the best Indian restaurant in Košice until recently. I don't know what happened, if they switched the cooks or what but they went from genuine indian cuisine to some less flavourful and blend tomato soups with less spice and meat. At this point I can not recommend them as a good and authentic Indian restaurant. But for the sake of the old times I give 2 stars, because they fed me the best part of my university studies here in Košice and they were amazing.

Been here recently, and it was amazing, the menu had clearly marked vegetarian options which is great for vegetarians like me. The food was great, I ordered basmati rice, and some soup, and I'm not kidding when I say that it was the best rice I've ever eaten, I was genuinely shocked. The staff was also very friendly, and kind, and while they didn't speak Slovak very well, it was enough to order without any problems, and basically everyone speaks english anyways... The atmosphere was also very immersive, the music, the painted walls, the decorations, all felt really authentic. Overall, I loved it, the food, while a bit exotic, is great, the staff friendly, and atmosphere utterly immersive. 9.8/10

Really nice and juicy paneer tikka and the paneer kadai was extraordinary, probably the best I’d ever had. I also recommend the tasty pilau rice with fresh peas/vegetables. Very friendly service as well.

Great thanks are quite important here as no other restaurant in city center of Košice was willing to provide a meal for after 21.30. PCN was and it was no leftover pizza, but a tasty and wonderful bite of Italia, great pasta and freshly baked pizza were more than satisfying, the cheerful service only added to the extraordinary experience. Will come back! And thank you!

Not 100% Napolitan pizza which is to be expected but non the less product is excellent. Atmosphere is good just it was a bit hot temperature wise Cheers 🍷 P.s. for every recommendation...

Fast service, the outdoor seating is limited, it was full but you can fond free tables indoors. They offer very good draft beer and stone baked 🍕

It’s a real shame about this place because the food it nice but one waitress in particular was so aggressive. She charged us twice and refused to amend the bill which is a shame. Do not recommend and will not go back

Mondieu is a very unique experience. You get to enjoy a nice selection of real melted chocolate, interesting coffee combinations and food. The quality and atmosphere is excellent. It's very expensive though, and there are cheaper options with similar quality such as Cafe Slavia or Cafe De Paris, all in close proximity.

Located on the main street of Kosice- Perfect place for breakfast, brunch, lubch, drinks, whatever! ❤️I love Mondieu and it is always my first choice for a brunch🍽they have all the right combinations of meals and an amazing staff. The interior is modern and quite big so I believe you will find a place when you will go there 😊

Fantastic bistro with pleasant atmosphere in the middle of Kosice old town. We were waiting quite long time for breakfast, but it was worth it, so we were not mad about it. I can highly recommend. :-)

We went for lunch during the busiest time of the day which surely had its importance of this experience. The waitress seemed on the edge the whole time with aggressive approach that was quite off-putting. On top of that we waited almost 1 hour for food. The soup was cold, on the other hand Bryndzové Halušky were very decent 8/10.

The prices were reasonable. The beers were yummy. They did the burgers pretty well and the staff was so attentive that by the time I got to the bottom of my glass, already getting me another beer which was great. Also enjoyed the soup.🍻

Central Pub & Restaurant, Košice — a great atmospheric place for lunch in the city centre. We stopped by during the day and immediately felt the cozy vibe — stylish interior, comfortable atmosphere, and very attentive staff. The place combines the relaxed feel of a pub with the quality of a good restaurant. I especially enjoyed the craft beer — there’s a great selection, but my top recommendation is to try the “cut beer” (a mix of light and dark beer in one glass). With every sip, the flavour unfolds — starting with the light, crisp notes and slowly moving into the rich taste of the dark beer. For lunch, I had dumplings with potatoes and cheese, served with sour cream and crispy bacon bits — so aromatic, filling, and full of homemade flavour. My partner ordered a burger with black buns — juicy, big, and very original, beautifully presented. Overall, Central Pub & Restaurant is a perfect place to stop for a delicious lunch or to enjoy a good beer in a calm, pleasant setting. The food is great, the atmosphere is inviting, and the beer is truly worth trying. 🍺

We have been here a few times. The food is usually good but I must comment on the burger I was served this time. Chips were cold and it was not up to standard both in taste and look. Disappointing. The other meals we had were good. Service is friendly. The place is quite big so it's great for big groups.

Sushi was genuinely bad. We ordered the sushi set, special roll with avocado, salmon, cream cheese and mango and a regular salmon sushi. When we ordered the sushi it came suspiciously fast. The sushi set had all the different smaller type of sushis. The egg inside the sushi looked burned and tasted very dry. The avocado tasted sour. The imitation crab tasted very old. The salmon inside one of the sushi set pieces did not taste right, the texture was weirdly chewy. Even the special roll I had did not taste good. U could barely taste the mango and some pieces completely lacked mango. Plus everything was overpowered by the sheer volume of cream cheese. We also both had a slight upset stomach after eating the sushi. The sushi is bad at best and for the price this quality is absolutely not ok. I hope they will be able to improve their quality and make some fresh sushi, because supermarket sushi tastes better than this. There was also weird music playing very loudly inside the restaurant. Service was fine but they did explicitly ask if I wanted to “add service” (a tip) when I payed. Not recommended to go here.

The first thing I do what I get to a restaurant is check the toilet, It is a true mirror of the restaurants quality. In Koshi it was clean but.... There was no toilet paper and no soap to wash your hands - a very bad sign to say the least. We orders 2 soups, pad tie and sushi. The sushi was excellent and so was the pad tie, My soup was a meat soup with a back taste of burned beef meat, The second main course which was meat on rice shook me again because the meat and it's sauce that was poured over the rice tasted exactly the same as the soup I ate 5 minutes earlier. Thats the last time they will be seeing me there.

Everything was too sweet, not really asian style. Gyoza was in some tasty but too sweet sauce, sushi roll (something like crunchy california) was too pricey and also has some sweet sauce, shrimps were also sweet but at least had lime to add a little bit of sourness. Teuffle noodles were too hard to eat because they were greasy and had too much sauce that make you a little bit sick. If you like traditional asian cousine this restaurant is not it, it looks fancy and waiters were great just maybe a little bit of a tourist trap.

Lovely restaurant in the heart of Kosice, overlooking the cathedral. Had a really delicious ramen for a decent price here. Team was super friendly, all of them English-speaking, menus were also available in English. The only advice, if you want to have some quiet time, don’t choose a table next to kids play area 🌝

I have been at this place 2 in 48 hours. Once for brunch and other time dinner. If you are in the town and your child is asking for porridge this place is the best to visit. You can have porridge or something else, or just coffee and your child can play in the nice playground which has 2 floors. If you enjoy green beens, beef and rice or some nice sushi stuff- dinner is great.

Nice place, good bang for a buck. Unfortunately not without flaws. The waitresses are a little bit chaotic. Not remembering that we spoke english (we started being served by one of them, the second took the order and then the first one brought it to us). Lemonades were great but we should have been warned that they are not fully mixed to preserve the looks and we should mix them on our own - they were ultimately sweet before that. Additionally music in the restaurant is horrible - remixes of the very well knows hits and the toilets are not the best ones that I have seen.

I dined at this restaurant last night. The food was below average, but the way I was treated was the 1 star, and the reason for this review. I need to be honest about how unprofessional this place runs and at the end of the day, it's cosplaying as high end. I understand it's the low season in Kosice. I am not Slovakian, and I am a solo female traveller. The restaurant was empty, and I was the only one dining there. Maybe I am low priority, but not even a beer hall would have behaved this way. The man who was my waiter was nice enough, and I have nothing against him. At some point, a few men come into the restaurant and begin moving paintings off the wall at 8 pm on a Saturday night during opening hours. This in of itself is unprofessional, but it gets worse. I have no idea if these men were related to management or the owner(s), but for whatever reason they felt it was OK to do what they were doing during hours where people are eating. And as I said, it gets worse. I am then interrupted mid-meal being prompted to get up so these men can take a painting off the wall, which hangs over my head in front of my plate (see photo)! I am sorry, nothing about this painting was so important to disrupt a paying customer. This was not urgent. It was disrespectful, but obviously it didn't matter to them at all. They then came back (again) to refit a painting to the wall, and then moved me with a fake "sorry". No awareness that this was ridiculous, or attempt to make amends with genuine care -- either they don't know how to be a proper restaurant or they thought they could push a lone diner around, but at their price point and low level food it's not even worth deciding which it is. Being treated like that as a solo female traveller at any restaurant would be a slight. It seems they care more about the interior presenting as elevated than actually delivering a true quality experience, I wouldn't advise eating here knowing their true colors. It's imperative that I warn people of this total lack of respect these men (however they are affiliated with the restaurant) treated a customer. If you do go, look at those paintings and ask if you would remove a diner twice from their meal to adjust them. Goodness, it was ridiculous. I should also note that they were there when I left. So they could have just waited to do what they did. This wasn't a misunderstanding. This was a group of people treating a paying customer like dirt, and they could get away with it since I was alone. It has to be noted, so people who dine out as I do all over the world and in various types of establishments do not mistake this as a place for an elevated experience.

A very disappointing experience. We had to send requested dishes and drinks in advance, before arriving to the restaurant. At the time of arrival waiters asked us again about chosen drinks, even though we already had written them down. The kitchen forgot to cook one of ordered meals and mixed one of the orders, proving the chaotic atmosphere. We were asked at least 5 times what we had ordered. Moreover, desserts were not even 1% close to what we had ordered. We were served a carrot cake with a piece of some extra cake (creme and jam) instead of a walnut cake. The waiter tried to convince us that served desserts were the ones we had ordered and that there are walnuts inside. If the walnut cake contains any carrot or creme it should be stated before due to allergies and NOT taste like carrot and jam..One of us drew it to waiter attention so as a “compensate” he gifted the customer free bottle of Prosecco, just not including the rest of the group that was also scammed. At the checkout, some of us were charged extra without any information about it, instead of just simply ask who would cover beverages (on top of that, waiter spoke only Slovak about extra charges and thought none of us would understand unequally divided expenses- despite speaking in English at the restaurant, some of us also speak Slovak on regular basis).The restaurant serves decent food but the whole environment is just a play pretend of “fancy” and I would not recommend that place to people who want to try good food and be served well.

The place is lovely and calm. Quiet atmosphere for lunch on a Tuesday. The food was lovely and the service was very attentive and pleasant. Definetly a must visit. But the chicken soup and salmon main course needs some improvement. The chicken and trout dishes were great.

Beautiful interior design. Although it is surprising that in order to get inside you have to... ring a bell. Because the door is closed :) The service is fine. Service as Ok. Tuesday evening dinner at this traditional Slovakian restaurant. Not too many people so the whole restaurant wasn't available. Good traditional dishes like pork and knödel but also special dishes like the wonderful duck we got served made in several ways. Delicious dish altogether. The seasonal dessert was excellent, not too salty and perfectly balanced sweetness. The texture was good. At times we could smell cigarette smoke at our table. Service was good and nice.

We takeout hotovost tonight. We could not read local language so we show the picture of the food, and staff helped us to order right food. Which is sweet. The food is really good that we finished all of them! Sour cabbage eat like the German one and the dumplings is chewy. Worth to try.

Great restaurant with very good prices and kind staff. They serve very good quality food. We taste all the different meat as pork, beef, chicken and fish. Each one was delicious. They also have variety of wines and deserts. Atmosphere on summer terrace is unique, looking tradicionally. There is a lot of space and you can enjoy your time with friends or family.

Food offer was limited, only 5 dishes on the menu, plus 2 soups. Only smażony syr as vege option.the lentil stew with sausage was super delicious. Portions are large, one gets nice and full there. Parking very limited. Nice inner garden to sit and eat. We paid 9.5 eur per person Local people eating there Near a centrum with good access to the basicila. Helpful staff, one of them speak English, and he was nice and helpful.

I had fried cod with potato salad, while my kids chose fish and chips. I want to say if I were to only grade my own choice, I would easily give 5 stars. However I tasted my son’s fish and chips (I don’t know what type of fish they use). It depends on people’s preference of course, but I didn’t get any taste from it. Table setup was nice though inside the restaurant there is an intense smell from the kitchen.

Came to Kosice for a quick trip from London and wasn’t sure where to eat. This was one of the best meals I have had. The fish was incredibly fresh and full of flavour. Particularly recommend the tuna steak and the octopus!

I got a recommendation to this place but honestly, this was even better than expected and we were AMAZED by the food quality and taste. If you like fish and seafood I highly recommend to book a place here! You won’t be disappointed. And yes better book in advance. The place is nice and has a cozy feeling! It’s right at the centre. Staff was amazing too! Only small detail is that the kitchen is open so you may smell the food on your clothes the next day. Still 10/10 !

Today I was travelling by car from Budapest to Tatranská Lomnica. I chose, to the surprise of some, the longest route, via Košice. Pressed for time, we couldn't see a lot - just a short Tour of the old town. Fortunately, we had a chance to grab a quick lunch. I chose Mr. Fish (or Pan Ryba - both in Skovak and in Polish). It is a lovely fish and seafood restaurant - a culinary jewell situated just a couple of minutes from the main street (Hlavná ulica). We started with a very refreshing strawberry lemonade. Then we had a delicate and very delicious salmon tartare and wonderful mediterranean fish soup (which resembled French soup Bouillabaisse - a nice break after halaszle tour in Budapest), and for the main course - an excellent tuna steak and catfish paprikash. An additional advantage of the restaurant is an open kitchen, which allows you not only to observe first hand the culinary magic, but also allows the wonderful aroma of the dishes that are beeing prepared to enchant the guests. It has been a wonderful culinary experiance. Some of us even checked how far is Košice from home. As it turnes out, there are direct flights from Warsaw to Košice 😉 Chapeau bas to the chefs for the excellent food and to our waitress for a great service. 😊😊😊

Good seafood. I’ll be back whenever passing through Kosice. Everything is served up fresh. While portions are not big, they are healthy. The presentation of the meals is beautiful. The space is welcoming. Tables are spaced nicely - conducive for conversations around good food. Our server was professional and kind. The location is just a block off the main old town square, making it easy to find. I’ll be back whenever I pass through Kosice.

Great place for burgers. We had 4 types of burgers - all of them great. The prices are reasonable - beer cheaper than soda. - (burger with fries between 6.5 euro and 8 euro)

First of all, the place looks great, much thought was put into the design. However, I was expecting a more "homemade" quality. The Blue Joe burger I had was obviously not too crafty. Bun the likes of you can buy in LIDL and the patty wasn't too convincing either. I asked for medium rare but this was not observed. The taste was good, the blue cheese was well present in the burger. I also see ketchup being the default sauce to go with the chips as a con. Overall this is a good place to go with a group of friends as everyone will choose - the variety is great. I myself believe that less is better and was expecting a home-made quality burger, not this Burger King-like one.

Stilish and cozy burger pub, the atmosphere is really comfortable. They have a great variety of burgers, ribs, steak and other plates. Beer was on average. We took burgers, served with chips and sauce. Good value for the price. I would suggest a change in the buns, too soft for what they're supposed to contain. Sure I'll come back to try other dishes!

I found this restaurant on my visit in Košice. The service was great and the staff very friendly. The food was really tasty and well presented. I recommend you to try it if you are in town and looking for Indian cuisine.

Very tasty food. We had paneer korma (very mild), chicken tikka masala (mild spice - some heat) and goan curry masala (prawns), with rice and mango lassi to drink. Service was polite and attentive. Our waiter was fluent in English. There is an indoor dining room as well as an outdoor (but enclosed) one. A good experience.

We visited many restaurants during our stay in Kosice and this was the only place where we came back several times. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in Kosice. The food is very fresh, flavourful and absolutely delicious! The service is very kind and attentive.

Not too spicy, just right with flavours. We loved the food and also the indian tea. The only thing we didn't like that much were the prices which were a little too high, we left there something under 50€ for two food servings, three naans and two teas. I get it that ingredients are not cheap, rent is not cheap but I make my own indian food at home similar to that of what is served there and for a lot cheaper. Anyway, food was tasty and we liked it there a lot, thank you for the good experience. Edit: Coming here more often now, in Kosice this is the best indian restaurant, tried all of them. If you want a great authentic indian food, this is the place you should be looking for.

Tasty food. Friendly waiters. Great location. We had a great dinner experience at La Hacienda. The service was quite fast and our waitress was very helpful with explaining some of the dishes and recommending some pairings. The food portions were quite large and very tasty. The blend of flavors was just right. The menu has photos of almost every dish, which made our choices easier.

Loved the food here, such amazing flavors. My favorite was probably the veggie enchiladas but really everything was incredible. The food comes with many hot sauces. The menu is large and everything looks appealing, choosing what to eat was quite difficult. Also very pretty food presentation. Excellent food, welcoming atmosphere, and wonderful staff. We had a company dinner here and everything was perfect. They bought out various appetizers very quickly. They were absolutely delicious. Then came the main courses and everyone was extremely satisfied. We all left with full bellies and a great feeling. I will be bringing my family back here when I visit Košice in February. This might be the best restaurant in all of Košice!

There was no table outside??? The most tables are empty. They all wet he says. Very strange behavior. I think in 20 sec u can have a dry seat. Customer unfriendly. I could sit on a rare corner inside. I walked away.

Mexican food is generally very inexpensive, so it seemed a bit on the high-end price wise. Service is friendly and the food doesn't taste bad just a little bland. My expectations for authentic flavors may have been a bit high based on the reviews.

I absolutely cannot understand people that are giving this place perfect rating, used to come here regularly and it was literally best burger in town but my last couple of visits were just bad, today burger was absolutely disgusting, fries full of oil and asking almost 3Euro for Ketchup is gangsta…. Don’t get scammed friends, there is a reason this place is empty at dinner time.

They classify ketchup as a "sauce" and charge €2.90 for it ... Spolit the taste of the burger knowing they wanted 20% of the price extra just to dip my fries in ketchup.

We had booked a table for seven for lunch this week. Not only we had to wait for water for 50 min, we were then informed the teas had been brewing and eventually they arrived one hour after we ordered. That is 3 out of 4 we ordered. To be fair the service said they wouldn’t charge for the fourth one, which ended up being different flavour. All the while the door behind our backs was being constantly opened by various delivery riders letting in freezing air. Food quality was medium, tuna steak ws lukewarm once it arrived. Beef with yasmin rice and green beans - beef sechuan- was too spicy to eat. We were fully charged. When we asked foram alternative the staff said it would take at least 30 min. We had spent about two and a half hours there already at that point! There were about 4 others guests in. Overall we should have left after the 50 min. The management doesn’t have enough and/or qualified staff. Sorry, time wasted. Do not go there.

Average quality sushi, with western influences that would make you question whether you're eating in a superior restaurant or simply in all-you-can-eat place. Cozy place though, nicely decorated and not too crowded. Honestly, for that price range you can find better options.

One of the not too many dedicated sushi restaurants in Košice, with a really nice interior swift waiters. The place is not too big, so it's better for smaller groups. Bigger groups should reserve a table, so not to be disappointed if there is no more space.

Seriously average food, for very high prices. There are much better options around. I honestly think this place only survives due to its proximity to the Hilton Hotel. Go to Koshi Sushi, it's priced much better and isn't much of a walk from the Hilton. It has a nicer atmosphere too.

Arrogant waitress, empty restaurant and 45 minutes of nothing on the table. Most craziest thing, was that she suggested to cancel our order. Her boss must be happy with this approach. We left without eating...

Mediocre mains - I paid nearly 10 eur for an untasty chicken vermicelli dish that had half a chicken breast and perhaps 3 slivers of mushroom, 2 slivers of carrots and a handful of Chinese cabbage in it, and my husband's prawn noodles were hardly better. 40 eur for 2 noodle dishes, a soup, gyoza and non-alcoholic drinks. This was our last chance for Maiko, having been disappointed by their sushi deliveries many times. Only good point was the staff. If you want noodles, rice dishes or soups, go to Phai Nam on the Hlavna, and if you want sushi, go to Taumi (also on Hlavna).
