The location is magic. Our Italian friends highly recommended this restaurant and they weren't wrong. All for of us had a superb meal. Great fish. Drinks can be served on the rocks as you watched the sunset and feel the vibe.

Good food, good service, comfortable outdoor covered setting. Amazing thing is Zi' Anto' is at Punta Tegge. At sunset about half the diners get up and walk out the side door, leaving everything on the table, and after the most spectacular sunset on Maddalena, they return and finish their meal. The waiters don't even look up.

There is something magical about this place. Everyone is so kind and the food is so delicious. The service and hospitality is unbeatable. The son of Zi Antò is one of the kindest people I have met. I am truly grateful to have visited this magical place on this magical island.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. As it is a pub, the food selection is somewhat limited if you are not interested in burgers. The location is convenient, and it is generally easy to find a seat. Live music is occasionally available in the evenings and is of good quality. Worth a ride, but not a place you are likely to visit regularly.

Lovely pub and cafe on the port. We went there for lunch twice as they had the best vegetarian sandwich with grilled vegetables and pesto. The Mediterranean salad was also great. Good selection of drinks and cocktails. Friendly and helpful staff.

Enjoyed as one of our go-to’s for our two weeks in La Maddalena… food was good, prices reasonable, atmosphere fun. Can’t believe some customer gave them one star because they couldn’t put their bikes and suitcases in a smallish covered lounge space for customers. Some people’s kids! Not “haute cuisine” but very enjoyable - we ate here four times.

Our favorite bar in Maddalena. Super friendly and welcoming stuff. The bar is small but it has a character. The cocktail menu is very extensive and the prices are reasonable. We’ll be coming back.

By far the place with the most character and the best music on the island. Chiara has a unique wandering spirit that animates the place from front to back. Great food and reasonable prices, but these are not the main reasons to come. Very special and not to be missed.

Visited here 2/3 nights on La Maddalena and thoroughly enjoyed this bar. Great selection of beers to choose from (though a lot were sold out) and great choice of charcuterie and focaccia. Great views from their terrace. Very nice, polite staff.

Awesome view, awesome drinks and food. We had aperitivo here 4 days in a row. People, order the cheese & cold cuts platter. They serve it with pane carasau and fresh bread. Also, if you have the chance, ask for their crema di pecorino. If you do not drink alcohol, ask for the alcohol free aperitivo options as not all of them are on the menu. A special mention goes to their seadas. They do NOT fry it however it feels as if it is. It's DELICIOUS and you won't regret it. It's worth the money! Well done, guys!

Nice location but watch out for bill surprises. They made us pay more than the price included on the menu for the cheese/ham platter because there was a cheese that "was more expensive". Without prior notice when ordering...

High prices, but high quality If you're not someone who is easily scared by high prices, but loves amazing cocktails, relaxing music, a calm atmosphere and above all else delicious food and friendly service, then The Duke is the place for you to come visit. Having been here a handful of times, the drinks in general are some of the best you will find, not just in La Maddalena, but in Italy in general and quite possibly any other tourist location around the world. The mixologist (Leo), is a profossional who has been around for quite some time, and has actually worked for some celebrities rumor has it. From his selection of delicious Sardinian wines, to his eye-catching cocktail creations, it's almost more fun to go into The Duke and watch him create the drinks rather than drinks them! His appetizers are the most delicious in all of La Maddalena (and I am not even close to joking about that), his staff is possibly the friendliest on the whole island (and most service people are extremely outgoing and friendly), and the atmosphere is absolutely my favorite of all the places to go in La Mad. It's laid back, but a little bit upper crust. So no matter your status in life, coming into The Duke makes you feel what the "other half" live on a regular basis. Very chic inside, with a lovely garden patio outside, but secluded from the rest of the city. I have literally never had a bad drink at The Duke, and while I'm always gulping hard at his prices, the whole package is worth it to go once in a while to break the monotony of island life. Make sure to say hello to Duke, the friendly cat that likes to lay outside and come in and out of the bar to visit with customers. :) Highly, highly recommended! I went to this bar a few times on my vacay in La Maddalena and I loved the cocktails. Also a shoutout to Kiara who waited us, she was brilliant and gave us great recommendations on drinks based on our preferences. Very attentive and kind ☺️

Bad experience – avoid this place We ordered a strawberry mojito mocktail for our son. What arrived looked more like orange juice – we told the staff it was a mistake and asked again for something with strawberry. The waitress left and came back saying they unfortunately didn’t have anything with strawberry. No problem, we said – we’ll just take a Coke instead. When the bill arrived, we were still charged for the incorrect drink. We pointed it out and were told, “It’s our policy to charge if the drink has been made.” I politely explained that it’s not reasonable to make customers pay for something they didn’t order or want. The waitress left, and a man (likely the bartender or owner) came out and suddenly got very angry, yelling in Italian. I calmly tried to explain that we had been clear in our order and that, at the very least, we should have been informed that they would charge us for a mistake. If that really is their policy, it’s a completely unreasonable one for any bar or restaurant. I told him I didn’t want to argue, but that I’d consider writing a review on Google and Tripadvisor given how poorly we were treated. Suddenly, he understood English perfectly and refunded us €10. It’s not about the money – it’s about the way we were treated. Staff who don’t understand basic English, a refusal to take responsibility for mistakes, and aggressive behavior towards guests is unacceptable. Save your money and go somewhere genuine that respects its customers.

Great bar with fantastic signature cocktails. Plenty of gin-vermouth-bitter concoctions to enjoy and of course all the classics with right ingredient ratios and a few mocktails. The bar is apparently owned by a cute black cat :)

Seems to be a family run restaurant tucked away close to the main port. Contains two main rooms and fashioned in a rustic style. Service was excellent by Roberto who appeared to lead the team and quite possibly the restaurant. Service by Allessandro was also excellent with good attention to detail. Most if not all the pasta is home made. Lots of local Sardinian food options with local produce. After going to this restaurant once I couldn’t resist booking another table for a second evening.

Very good team, horrible boss! We had a very nice evening. Food was good and the team very very nice. However, due to a translation error of the English menu, the bill was not as expected. We asked for some explanations and try to understand. The boss started to be very rude and insulting. At the end, we had to pay the right amount and give a good tips to the team to thank them and help them to bear such a nasty boss!

First time in this place and definitely not last. Food was super tasty, super fresh and if I could I would give this place 6 stars all day long. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a fresh fish dish at an affordable price. The menu is short which indicates fresh ingredients used for dishes. I wanted to try tuna but they ran out so instead I tried sword fish which was excellent.

A must do experience for the island! I went 3 times for my 4days stay, only be sure I found it on my 2nd day. I at: 1/ Black Sea food pasta with huge cubes of tuna - delicious! 2/ Grilled Sea brass - extremely tender, served with very delicious and balanced garnish. The tiramisu was a bit heavy for my taste, but fit well with the mirto ( local liquor) 3/ one oyster, which was extremely delicious and tender( yes, again tender!). The best oyster I had so far. 4/ tun fish filet with fresh Fenchel and backed potatoes - The fish was medium rare, just like it should be. The cook knows what he is doing here! Personal was busy, but always helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place. I saw that the most popular dish is the frito misto and other fried dishes, which I didn’t tried, but looked and smelled amazingly

The standout here is the generous fritto misto platters—piled high with golden fried squid, shrimp, and crisp vegetable strips. Everything’s served on wooden boards with a side of pickled onions for contrast. Ideal for a casual seafood feast.

It seems like they were understaffed and the restaurant was too full which led to us waiting 45mins before our first course came. The food’s mediocre but the wait times were too long to justify a higher rating. This was also our most expensive meal on the island and there are better and faster service restaurant elsewhere.

Amazing experience in this small and cosy and refreshing restaurant. The quality of the service is personal and still very professional, you eat fresh fish as you never eaten before, and the cook does a splendid job. As simple as "best fish in my life".

We waited for 15 minutes after being seated to be served here but boy was it worth it. The calamari fritti were absolutely mind blowing - served on a long wooden plank, with sauce, great choices of wines as well. Also one of the best Seadas we had in Sardinia. Highly recommend it - just be patient with the service, I feel the place is a bit understaffed and it's not really them being lazy.

I give this place a solid 3.5 stars. Takes a lot of guts to only serve steak and potatoes in Italy. They are tryin to be an Argentinian steak house. The steak was mediocre and didn’t seem to be cooked correctly. Filet should be soft and tender and ours was chewy hard to eat. The wine was good however a glass option wasn’t available which was a set back since the menus had per glass pricing. If you’re looking to get away from pasta and fish in this island town it’s worth a visit.

Best meat you can get on the Island. Premium prices but well worth it if you have the wallet for it. Service is very intricate and good. The owner does not speak English but he has servers who do. If you speak Italian you get an even better experience. Naturally.

Some of the best steaks we have ever eaten! A selection of 4 steaks, weighing up to 1kg, and all were absolutely fantastic, and each so incredibly different! The true way to taste steaks. All cooked to perfection, and with minimal sides (salad, bread, potatoes), so as not to take away from the magnificence of the meat. The chocolate lava cake for dessert was so good that we ordered seconds! And the recommendation for wine was superb, and exactly tailored to our taste. We will be back! Thank you for a lovely first evening of our trip!

This place has a massive potential if only the manager will start listening to the customers, a few suggestions (most of them similar to other commentators): 1. Make plates warm. 2. Add some sauce as an option. 3. Tune down prices a little bit. 4. Add a little touch like a lemonchello or grappa at the end of the meal, which is always a great gesture! Otherwise, the meat itself was solid, cooked well.

Stay away from this place. Sat down to order a lighter portion (approx 6 oz per person for 4 persons) and they refused to serve us anything less than 12 oz per person. When I asked what options they have for lighter appetites they said impossible and refused to serve us. The chef personally came out and acted in an intimidating and aggressive fashion. It’s no surprise we were the only table seated at 8pm on a Saturday. Stay away!

So good! I've eaten at top steak houses around the world and this is up there with the best. Also good value for money. The way they do the ordering is also a nice innovation as it allows you to appreciate the differences between each type of beef.

We had dinner here on our last night and it was phenomenal. We chose the 750g and our three selections were the Wagyu, the ribeye, and the pork. Reasonably priced. Friendly and talented chef and attentive waitress. If you’re in the island make sure you stop here for dinner!!

Good location (quiet and cute), great service. The team was very attentive and helped us to get food for our child that she would like. The food was good and fresh, but it lacked a bit of generosity, typically one gambas for a plate of sea food ravioli. I had an amazing apricot/chocolate torte.

Do not eat here, it's a complete rip off! The owner is very communicative and speaks English. He sold himself well because the portions were super small for the money we paid. We met four other guests at the pizzeria next door after dinner as they were also still hungry - it was not only us or subjective! I understand that Italians eat more than one course but this was super expensive for what we got! We ordered 1/4 house wine (6 €), the fish ravioli (10 pcs for 22 €) and lasagne (vegetarian for 16 €) - see picture. Coperto 2,50 € per person, we didn't even get bread. The taste of the food was ok even though the ravioli were still a bit raw and not al dente. There was only one (dirty) toilet for all guests and the toilet is so close to the wall that you can't sit straight on it (if it was clean). I would never go there again and can't recommend this restaurant.

Simply incredible! We've been to many restaurants in Sardinia, but this one was by far the best in terms of service, staff friendliness, and food quality. Fresh off a boat tour and the pizza here was amazing. We had the dolce diavola and barbagia, both were sensational with that fresh-out-of-the-oven dough but the dolce diavola was a winner. Would highly recommend and sitting out on the terrace people watching is always entertaining!

Frozen lasagne that had to be reheated served as dish of the day. When I asked for Parmesan or pecorino I was told it’s already inside. Burger was not tasty at all, chips fried in old oil. No craft beers on the tap. Very poor experience.

Cozy setting with a surprisingly good beer selection. The pizza here is nothing short of /amazing/. Unfortunately there is no outdoor seating on the square. Be careful if there is a line. They tend to get busy and as they do not have a system for tracking who is waiting this allows people to skip the line outside the door and still be seated somehow.

We had some pre-dinner drinks, the Hugo cocktail (9€) was not as expected (had better ones in France), there were some snaks also provided with the drinks. For breakfast, the coffee in the morning was good (better than in 2 others places we tried), but choice of pastry not so diverse. Service was fast during breakfast, the young lady that served us was very fast (also not many customers at 07:40). Place is well located, many people walking by, easy to find when we met.

Better than many restaurants; this bar offers a surprising variety of meals and drinks - All fresh and from good quality ingredients. There is parking, shades and direct beach access. Bassa Trinità Snack Bar has always been a constant for me, a place I can count on. I don't go there expecting fine dining or gourmet service. What you get are honest sandwiches, an accommodating staff, and prices that, in my opinion, are perfectly aligned with what the place offers. I rarely write bad reviews, here i have to. Its a nice bar at the port but with extremely rude and unfriendly staff. The only unfriendly treatment on this beautyfull island. We wanted wo watch a football match and ordered severall drinks. Always unfriendly responses and we feeled were unwelcome. 10 Minutes before the match was over, they just changed the TVs to a Tennis game. We payed the bill and they even refused to say goodbye to me back. I recommend to go to another bar.

We visited a few bars on our day trip on the ferry across to La Maddalena and if I was asked to pick a favourite I'd probably say this was it, maybe. Not that we visited a bad one in the town but this was sooo relaxed and had a great ambience and I have to say of the four or five bars that we visited this served a great local white wine; dry but still fruity bursting with flavour and very aromatic and at only 4 euros it didn't break the back. We sat in the covered area at the front overlooking the square with the harbour next to it. A relaxing place to sit and to people watch. Our drinks were served with a smile. They also served a tasty coffee ☕ too.

The service is a bit slow - but attentive and caring, which is great. What you will absolutely love are the drink options - any mixed drink you favour, there is a fat chance thy will make it. Unfortunately the place is very exposed and tends to be noisy with dirt coming from the busy street. Adding more plants to make such exposed place feel more comfortable would be a huge improvement. Providing a glass of water and a salty snack "on the House" was a fine gesture.

Rude staff & uncomfortable experience We stopped here for a quick coffee during a boat trip in La Maddalena, but it ended up being the worst stop of the day. I walked in wearing a bikini top with long pants – I didn’t know it wasn’t acceptable in town (no one on the boat mentioned it). As soon as I was told, I explained I didn’t have a top, then remembered I did have a dress and changed right away in the restroom. You’d think that would solve it – but instead, the staff kept treating us with attitude. Finger snapping, eye-rolling, ignoring us when we asked for the bill… all while two older men in filthy clothes sat at the bar drinking beer at noon and catcalling us as we left (they were locals). That didn’t seem to bother anyone. The double standards were pretty clear, and the whole experience left a bad taste. Definitely not the warm Italian hospitality we were hoping for.

One of the days we attempted another café, weren’t satisfied with the food or the price, so we came back here to end our trip on a good note. The food is quality, flavorful, fulfilling, and quick.
