Fattoush, located in the German Colony of Haifa, is a popular restaurant offering a variety of Middle Eastern dishes with an Arab kitchen influence. The restaurant's attractive interior features intimate rooms with unique decor, including olive trees adorned with colorful lights. The menu includes traditional favorites like the eponymous Fattoush Salad, a refreshing mix of chopped tomato, cucumber, onion, and mint topped with crispy toasted pita pieces.
Best. Meal. Ever. Served generously, with absolute fresh, divine flavors, surrounded by a great, peaceful garden setting and sweet music. Wonderful gastronomic crossings, you'll find the best version of each Oriental and Mediterranean specialty proposed here. Go ahead and enjoy !!

Excellent refreshing drinks, especially after visiting the gardens. Salads are so large I would recommend sharing. Humus amazing. Breads fabulous. Stop and enjoy the excellent staff and great atmosphere. You won't be disappointed.
Winton J — Google review
Among the many similar restaurants on this street, Fattoush is probably a better choice among what I tried The rice and chicken dish with yoghurt was superb, so was the leafy salad (sorry forgot the names) The Magluba wasn't as good as the chicken version, the hummus was huge but just ok, and the knaffeh was a bit dry but came with ice cream
Ilya C — Google review
Unfortunately Arab food we were looking for was not here. Salad was not fresh, veggies were chopped in advance and was sprinkled with deep fried in a very poor quality oil pieces of Arab flat bread. Kebab was served almost cold as the boiled vegetables, which had no taste at all. Hummus is hummus, it was ok, nothing more. Service is friendly but it can’t help when the food is such mediocre.
Olga R — Google review
Amazing surprise! Very nice comprehensive menu with veg, fish, meat choices. Nice garden surprisingly quiet. Excellent food and smiling waiters and waitresses
Patrick C — Google review
A nice arabic food in Haifa. We visited with 3 for the weekend. Food was excellent. We sat in the garden and nice place to have dinner and rest. Workers are so polite. Service time is quite logical. Kunafi dessert is really nice that you feel homemade taste with a different flavot
Nuri B — Google review
A great spot for dinner with nice outdoor seating and tasty food. I ended up getting the chicken fattoush, and it came with a small bowl of sourcream/yogurt to put on it. The prices aren't bad either, about 70₪ a person. If you are in the German Colony I would 100% recommend stopping by!
Ezra D — Google review
Very special and trendy place! One of the most amazing venues in Israel. I've never seen a place that's so well decorated and designed, with every single detail well thought of and touched! Every space has a cute twist and design what makes the place so special. I'll be careful with talking about the service, drinks and food. They just opened 6 weeks ago so will give them a chance to get better. When we came to sit down,no one told us that tonight it was a Saturday night (I don't know if Evey night) it's self service from the bar. So we waited for ten minutes for service until understanding this. The food that we ordered was very good and was freshly made in an open kitchen in the outside terrace. That I needed to go out and get myself. the drink verity is good (beer, whiskey, wine, cocktails, ect) but there's no drink menu (seriously?!?) Just ask the bar tender... That's not cool. What if I want to try something new? To conclude: Great venue, good food and drinks, they need to work on there concept and service. And pay a visit to the toilet, they are very cool! I'll be back to check if they did. Enjoy

Italian restaurant
Restaurant
Raffaello is a premier Italian restaurant that truly embodies the essence of authentic Italian cuisine. With pasta crafted on-site using imported ingredients from Italy, diners can expect nothing short of excellence. The inviting atmosphere features beautiful wooden furnishings and a bright interior, making it an ideal spot for enjoying innovative dishes like pizza topped with pear, truffle, and blue cheese or salmon pappardelle paired with spinach and beets.
Excellent italian restaurant, the food tastes great and the portions are quite large. The service is very good and kind. One of my favorite restaurants in the North and in especially in Haifa. I've visited the restaurant more then once and it was a great experience every time. If you're looking for a a great italian restaurant with reasonable prices - very recommended!

Firsts were expansive and small portioned but tastey. Gnocchi was very well made great sauce, Crudo also had awesome delivery and punch but they were both small for a starter and price. We had tried three pasta dishes, I wont bore you but all were sub par, should be the main forte, disappointed.
Moav W — Google review
Great food and service. We didn’t have a reservation but they seated us. The fish and pizza were amazing! Yummy
Ronit ( — Google review
Delicious food, nice atmosphere. Service was a bit too pushy on ordering extra drinks/dishes we weren't interested in. Perhaps depends on who's shift is it. Skip the cocktails, they're very light. Focus on the wines. Really recommend this restaurant overall.
Lin M — Google review
Great service (thanks to Batia 💕), nice atmosphere, acustica and background music needs improvement, clean, alcoholic beverages with plenty of choices as well as in food menu, comfortable seats but not enough space in between tables and passages. Inside and outside seats. Disabled and children friendly. Located inside a small mall with elevator, parking and other shops/stores. Nice to walk around. Not for budget. Better make reservations. Recommend for celebrating with family and friends.
Ronith — Google review
It wasn’t our first visit to this restaurant, never been disappointed. Everything from the starters to the main dishes to the desserts was very good. The waitress was very polite and attentive, however we were a bit disappointed by how crowded the place was, almost sitting back to back with a stranger. Anyway, we had a good time and for the great food we are coming back

This is one of the place in Haifa where the Ambience, service, and food was good and even the price was reasonable compared to the places I have been. I appreciate the whole service team. Only thing which was missing is menu and booking not in English. The food was so yummy 😋 I would highly recommend this if you like Italin food with good Ambience and service

Location: Southern Haifa, at the end of Flieman street, inside Kastra mall, second floor. Parking: Kastra area offers many free parking spots, hard to find it fully occupied. Staff: very nice and very friendly. Restaurant: great atmosphere and a great experience to enjoy great Italian food. The place serves variety of delicious Italian meals including amazing pizza, pasta and ravioli. I recommend the ravioli :) The place is super crowded so make sure to reserve a table in advance, otherwise you will need to wait lots of time. Overall, definitely in the top Italian restaurants in Israel, very recommended.

Nestled in the charming city of Haifa, Douzan is a culinary gem that beautifully marries French and Arabic flavors. Housed within a historic German Templer building, this restaurant boasts an inviting outdoor terrace where diners can soak up the vibrant atmosphere. The interior features stunning decor highlighted by a large metal lamp adorned with colorful glass, casting intricate patterns on the walls.
Location wise its really great, One of my favorite restaurants in that area, Vintage decor, Tables and sitting areas look very elegant, Big variety of dishes on the menu, Really enjoyed the freekeh and the sambusak. cordon bleu was nice also.

It was so cool. I love the design and decoration around. The place is at the German colony and is really amazing. We ordered some coffees and the bartender was nice. The price is high, but I suppose like the others restaurants. I saw some people eating there and the plates seems so big, delicious, and the desserts... Mouthwatering!
Ana J — Google review
Good and welcoming service. We took a couple of meals and everything was tasty and fresh. The only thing that we didn't like is the massive car movement on the street when every car has it's loud music
אילנה ב — Google review
The thing is that when looking at the menu you’d think… ”mmm…too many things, can’t be good” But then the food arrived, superb aubergine carpaccio, delicious bread, great tahini sauce, wonderful tiny sambusak with cheese and zaatar, very good stuffed mushrooms. The coconut caked looked ok, the waiter said, take it! We have….I say “take it!” Was so light and full of taste. Seriously Anyway, great friendly restaurant, friendly and professional service and complements for the chef

Nice setting under the Bahai Center, This Lebanese restaurant offers very authentic Arabic /Mediterranian food. the restaurant itself is nicely decorated. service was good.

The service was slow to non-exestant, there is a large variety of food but the dishes we had were all so-so. Not recommeded

Very nice place with friendly service and tasty meal in the heart of the German colony close to the Bahai garden . In the quite a hot spring day we set outside in the shadow of the tree. We had halabi kebab, grilled eggplant with tahini and draft beers. Delicious! Who loves traditional arabic cousin this is the place.

Superb! The menu is huge, lots of really great dishes and all are wonderdul! The area is beautiful and inviting, comfortable sofas and nice service. The prices are a tad high but the food is just worth it. Composed of arabic food as well as italian and sea food, beers, shakes, alcohol, salads..everything you need!

Breakfast restaurant
Gal's Bakery, located in Merkaz Hacarmel, is a delightful spot known for its delectable pastries. Gal Gavrieli, the mastermind behind the bakery, delivers both sweet and savory treats that are described as incredibly buttery, flaky, and addictive. The bakery stays true to traditional European recipes with offerings such as poppyseed babka, cremeschnitte (custard slice), and chausson aux pommes (apple pastry).
Most coffee shops that are off the beaten track don't make it, but this is an exception. If you don't know it's there, you'll walk right past. But the quality of the pastries and the atmosphere have created a well-deserved reputation for this place. Well worth a visit.
Michael D — Google review
Mediocre. We experienced multiple mistakes by the servers. The floor is terrible; every time someone moves everybody feels it. The salad was repulsive (this is Israel, not the US, you should worn people you are using a sweet dressing instead of a Mediterranean one). I ordered a vegan sandwich, which involved a memory test of all the plant-based ingredients in their kitchen. To go to the the toilet you need to use a shared poop-key. When you open the toilet's door to leave you have no ability to know if you are about to smash the door in someone's face (as I almost did).
Yuval F — Google review
Wow you can’t beat the variety of baked goods in this place. We loved the fresh cheese bread. We bought many varieties of pastries both savory and sweet. All were masterpieces. They were very helpful - I can’t speak Hebrew and they were able to help with ordering.
Laura L — Google review
Writing a review because the place is wonderful and other reviews almost stopped me from coming!! Been here a couple years ago and wanted to finally revisit, yet when I searched the place up on google maps, reviews kept complaining about the food, the waiting time and the atmosphere. I am so glad I didnt listen!!!! My partner and I were seated immediately at peak lunch time. The staff were very nice, everything was delicious, the atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed, perfect for a breakfast place Very glad we came back! Left full and happy

If you're looking for a cozy, friendly, and cute place, this is it! Gal's has a very lovely atmosphere with very kind staff. On top of it being a wonderful place, it also has delicious food! Although a bit on the pricier side of things, it is still quite worth it to stop by for a treat.
Wandering T — Google review
Perfect pastries! Vanilla cream croissant, plum pie, sweet potato pie, sweet and savory - just tasty! Cozy green back yard to seat and enjoy your meal. Central location, the path that leads to the shop ( from the Main Street) does not look very welcoming but don’t you worry - you’re on the right path. A very friendly and helpful staff.
Olga R — Google review
Very good atmosphere under a huge magnolia tree. Tasty coffee and pastry and good salad and omlet. If you don't like salt skip the cheeses omlet as it is loaded with this salty fetta cheese. Cakes are really good.

Nestled in the heart of Haifa since 1964, Shany Bakery is a beloved family-run establishment that has become a staple of the local community. The Abromovitz family has been at the helm for over thirty years, preserving its charming Mom & Pop atmosphere with vintage banquet seating and art-deco mirrors. This delightful bakery not only showcases traditional Eastern European pastries but also excels in crafting exceptional coffee drinks that keep patrons returning for more.
I went with my family and we really enjoyed it! The atmosphere of the coffee shop was really nice and the waitresses were all patient, helpful and kind. I ordered a salad and it was really tasty, and i also ordered a coffee that was very good. Inside the coffee shop there's also a bakery with a variety of sweet and salty pastries that look great. I recommend going there if you'd like to grab some coffee or food in Haifa :)

The coffee was fine, We ordered the Turkish borekas "מאפה טורקי במילוי גבינה מלוחה ", and in my opinion, it didn't taste good. I also noticed some hair on a pastry on the shelf, but I didn't want to comment on it at the time; I simply chose something else instead. Unfortunately, I wasn't satisfied with the experience, and I wouldn't recommend it.
3nbra E — Google review
Cakes are great but One of the first things I was warned by the waitress is that if I sit with my laptop, there is a 1 hour time limit. Too bad for them because I left the place very disappointed.
Tal H — Google review
We waited an unreasonable amount of time for our food. when it arrived, we did not receive utensils and had to wait another 10 minutes( just sitting there looking at our food). we rang the bell seven times and, in the end, had to go and get our own coffee. The shakshuka was not good , too much paprika. The halumi salad was cold. Overall, it was an annoying experience.
Jacqueline S — Google review
They check your vaccination passes and with one you can sit inside. There's a hard plastic windows between seatings inside. Breakfast was nice, but more importantly it was nice to experience sitting in a cafe again.
Mirka C — Google review
AVOID!!! Unprofessional and rude service!! We came for the coffee and deserts. Coffee is horrible and pricey, deserts are okay. We wanted to order at the counter. We were ignored by the staff for at least 10-15 minutes. When finally ordered we said that we would like to dine in, but the person who was at the counter left. After a few minutes another person appeared we again said that we would like to DINE IN but we were packed for the take out. Okay, no problem. We picked a table and sat. A few waiters passed by but didn’t offer us plates. So we picked ourselves plates and started to eat. In the middle of eating a manager? approached us and said that if we are dining in we should pay a different price! We were shocked, because first of all - at the beginning we said that we would dine in. Second of all - even if the mistake was made it wasn’t our fault but the staff. After she interrupted us eating she stood close to us and kept staring like we steeled something! This is insane! I never felt so uncomfortable in my life! I traveled a lot and never met such a horrible service! I didn’t even finish my croissant and left!!! I WOULD NEVER COME BACK! Not recommended!!!

Nice, cozy local cafe with a nice selection of food. The french toast was good, but the "nest" was way too loaded with cream and was just too much for me. It gets very busy so bear that in mind if you want to give this place a visit, especially on Saturday mornings.

Great coffee. You shouldn't need to add anything else to this but: -Good prices, affordable. -Great atmosphere, very friendly to olim chadashim. -The spot is really chill and they always play good ambient music. -Last but not least, their pistacho cake is reaaaaally good. I'd suggest you go and give it a shot.

Great coffee great sandwiches amazing bakery and wonderful atmosphere , the “owner” wasn’t so nice ... it was a hot day and I asked politely if I can move (my self) the table to the shade , and he seemed to find an excuse not to do it . To make long story short , we sat down with my wife’s parents because they were tiered, but not anymore. It was a place that I loved but the “owner” was very rude ! Try to come when he is not there .

Whether you choose to relax outdoors while people-watching or enjoy the cozy indoor setting adorned with whimsical cartoon art, Boston George promises a unique experience.
We went to Haifa and found THE PLACE TO BE in the Boston George bar. It’s in the center of the hip bar street in Haifa so we were always in the center of what was going on but it was still possible to understand each other while talking. The owner George and his lovely girlfriend are really sympathetic and will help u out if any thing. Nestled in the vibrant Arab neighborhood of Wadi Nisnas, Abd al-Hadi Sweets is a delightful haven for dessert lovers. As you step inside, you're greeted by an enchanting display of baklava varieties, each crafted with care and arranged into stunning pyramids. The air is filled with the irresistible scents of syrup, pistachios, and freshly baked pastries that beckon you to indulge.
Atractive shop with tons of sweets piled up on the counter in little pyramids shape. Knafe was excellent fresh and hot. Huge variety of local sweets Baqlawa, Burma, bird nest. High quality fresh and tasty.
Ziv C — Google review
Prices were really reasonable (knafeh portion was huge!). If you choose to take away, they will vacuum wrap it nicely for you so it can be carried nicely. The variety that the shop offers were astounding - there’s so many different types of baklava to choose from! Thought that it was a sugar overdose, and the knafeh though tasty was not as stretchable as what we used to eat elsewhere. Nevertheless, it was an amazing shop to buy traditional desserts from
Nahshon — Google review
Wow! At how bad it is! I don't know if it's considered edible at all! The pistachio is just regular nuts (I hope so) with green coloring!! The price is too expensive for such a bad quality ingredients. If your looking for aged fake baklava, I guess you'll find it here.

If you're looking to try some authentic Arab sweets like baklava and knafeh, this place offers a large verity of them. The only bad part is thst they are not honest with the prices, the guy helping us was talking Arabic to his partner to decide how much our order should cost.

The sort of English translation of the name of the bakery is "Sweets Aaabd Khaled." Anyhow, this bakery is amazing for all kinds of baklava! The aroma is phenomenal! We purchased some at night and went back for a lot on the next day before our flight back home.

If you find yourself wandering through Haifa's lower city, make sure to stop by Borekas Bachar Haagala for a delightful culinary experience steeped in tradition. This charming eatery, born from a beloved bourekas cart, is run by Avi Alhades who proudly upholds his family's legacy of serving delicious and hearty bourekas.
Been there a few times - the "Burekas" is superb. Add the egg and plenty tomato sauce and hot sauce as weel (wont burn you :) they give pickles and you can have it as take away or eat there (I always take away). Few simple flavours - cheese, spinach&cheese, mushhroom&onion, potato and last but very good - eggplant. Service is warm, hospitable and generous. place is clean too and always had parking nearby when I arrived (late afternoon evening...). If you plan to drive to acre via Haifa this place is located perfectly for a short stop as it near highway rout #22. Plain old simple but good "Burekas". If you didn't plan to stop by during you visit to Haifa, change your plans ;)
Asaf B — Google review
Tasty and clean.Nice people willing to serve you. Burekas as it should be (not the anemic industrial type). On the downside, this is it. Good boorekas and nothing special. Worth it but definitely not entering my TOP TEN. Bottom line good but nothing special

Quiet and nice place with a good service. Simple, tasty and inexpensive food, just great for a lunch at any given day. Also the place is never crowded, I assume due to it's location, so I really like the opportunity to eat in a peaceful atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Marie B — Google review
I like this place ever since I was a child and my dad used to take me there. They fo not keep coffee anymore which I think is a shame. Simple local food, cold drinks and beer in bottles are to be found, good even cheap prices. Recommended.
E. S — Google review
Great local place for burekas - make sure to get a boiled egg, pickles and tomato sauce. The perfect place for a Saturday morning breakfast that can last for the entire day.
Damian H — Google review
Everything feels unclean. All the Burekas are coming out from the oven black at the bottom. Some of the prepared dough, at the edges and at the folds is not baked and can not be eaten. They don't care about the Coronavirus and letting anyone come in, they don't care about masks of customers and staff.

Nestled in the vibrant Carmel Center, Landwer Cafe is a delightful culinary destination that offers an extensive menu featuring everything from mouthwatering Italian dishes to succulent meats and delectable desserts. During my visit, I savored their perfectly cooked schnitzel—crispy on the outside and bursting with flavor inside—served in generous portions that are well worth the price. For dessert, I indulged in their exquisite carrot cake, which was simply divine.

Vizel Bakery and Cafe is a wonderful place with exceptional service. Customers have praised the Oreo cake, noting its wonderful taste and the perfect service they received when ordering a custom sugar print for it. The bakery's professionalism and timing were beyond expectations, earning 100% ratings in both aspects. While the surrounding area may not be ideal, visitors appreciate the fresh and delicious sweet and savory baked delicacies that resemble the best of Austro-Hungarian pastry tradition.
Wonderful place with exceptional service. Ordered Oreo cake for kids Birthday. Wonderful cake! Wonderful taste. And perfect service: I ordered the cake with custom sugar print. I booked the time that at 7:00 I am bringing the print and they will stick it to the cake. I was there at 6:58 and at 7:00 everything was ready including additional decoration. It was really beyond my expectation - 100% for professionalism and 100% for timing! Thanks!

We visit this Fruit Bar from time to time. My kids especially like to come here. The place is for those who likes delicious dessert. They serve here frozen yogurt, Italian ice cream, fruit juices and other desserts. The frozen yogurt here is the best in Haifa! There are a few tables inside, high and low Outside seating is available, too. There is a take away option, too.
Andrey K — Google review
The shakes are great, very good flavor for good price, BUT the service always lets down. They're slow, not coordinated and not paying attention. I come here at least once a week and they always take at least 15-20 minutes to just prepare a shake. I understand sometimes they are training new employees, but this is a constant thing. Amazing ice cream with awesome flavors beside the regular ones. Environment friendly by using normal teaspoons instead of disposable ones. Why only 4 stars ? Because the location is inside a mall that is at a standard neighborhood. Its hard to justify driving to this place just for an ice cream. This contradicts the environment friendly advantage of this place. Still - its one if the best independent ice cream in Israel.

Incredible Gelato, took us back to reminiscing on our trip to Rome only now Israeli flavours bringing us back to reality - and a tasty one. Apple a d ginger. Bought 3 times products in this bakery only because its close to work.First I bought a cake, second time puff pastry. Both not overwhelming but average quality. The cafe is dark and the looks uninviting.Nobody smiles at the counter. Today I bought a hanuka donut and it was terrible. The taste and texture was of a baked sprayed one and the jam filling was awful sweet and tasteless. Maybe once shani was better but today it looks pale in comparison to other downtown bakeries, especially as thrre is a much better cafe around the corner. I will not come again.

Pastry shop
Monas Knafe in Haifa is a must-visit spot for those craving an authentic and delicious knafe experience. The place is known for its warm hospitality and excellent service, making it a hidden gem in the city. Customers have raved about the taste of the knafe, with some even traveling from other cities just to indulge in this delightful treat. While prices may be slightly higher than average, many agree that it's worth every shekel.
Extremely nice service. I loved the goat cheese with one cherry (talking about baqlawa/baklava).

This Eastern sweets shop offers a tempting variety of traditional desserts, with something to satisfy every sweet tooth. From baklava and ma'amoul to basbousa and more, everything looks beautifully prepared and rich in flavor. I tried the knafeh, and while it was delicious — with a crispy top and smooth, cheesy center — it was definitely on the sweeter side, almost swimming in sugar syrup. If you like a lighter touch, it’s a good idea to ask the staff to go easy on the syrup. Overall, a flavorful experience with authentic Middle Eastern charm.

The owner and employees are very nice. Although, the kanafeh was not tasty. It was served cold and there has been a lack of cheese.

Best Künafe in Haifa. Authentic and tasty. It's one of the city's hidden gems. A must visit

The best ever. I ate at Mona’s a few months ago for the first time and was amazed by the taste and hospitality of Mona. I had to come back all the way from Tel Aviv with my wife and girls for more and they all said that this is the best Knafe they have ever had. Looking forward to my next visit to Haifa.

Bakery
Really nice gluten free bakery, open in the mornings on Friday and Saturday. Their desserts are a bit different from the standard Israeli gluten free fare, more European style. They also have really good tea.

Super friendly staff/owner, delicious food in a great location. Also the only breakfast place we could find that was open on Shabbat.

(Translated by Google) A small, charming and special cafe in the lower city. We were so happy to discover the place, which is all adapted to those who avoid gluten (and there are also options for those who avoid milk). The place sells fine fresh pastries, breads and pastries, soft drinks and hot drinks. There are pleasant places to sit outside the cafe, and every week you also have the opportunity to see the full menu, order and pay in advance, arrive and take away. The service is cordial, both before arrival (they patiently and happily answered every question that came up) and when we physically arrived at the place. Even though we ordered in advance and our order was packed, we wanted to sit down and we answered in the affirmative + they asked if we would like to reheat the pastries because we would enjoy it more. Everything we bought felt high quality and rich - the sandwich, the chocolate ham, the vegan chocolate ball which was perfect, the brownies and the bread we took home. I have no doubt that the other pastries are equally excellent. I wish they were open on other days of the week as well and only not on Friday and Saturday mornings. I have no doubt we will be back again.
