I absolutely loved it here!! All of the workers are so kind and generous, and the atmosphere here is very calming and warm! The food here is delicious as well, and you can definitely tell it’s made with care!

I’m from out of the area but knew about this coffee shop and so when we planned a trip to State College, I knew I wanted to stop by. The service was warm and friendly. The atmosphere peaceful. The outdoor seating area with plants and string lights is such a cute addition . The lattes we tried we were amazing! They have some sugar free options 👌🏻 they have gluten free pastries. Highly recommend!

I had the healthy almond biscoff latte, that was so delicious, best coffee I've had in a while. I recommend the chicken caesar panini. Employees are very friendly and attentive, place is clean authentic and cozy. I'm a loyal customer from now on🫶🏾

Potentially the most underrated coffee shop in State College! I really appreciated that they had a parking lot, as well as a parking garage right there. The line was long (I waited about 30 mins) but it was moving fairly quickly considering! They have a super wide menu, so it was very hard to decide what to get. They are on the pricier side, but worth it once you taste it! I got a caprese panini and their rose cardamom latte. Both were incredible and the portion sizes were large. Their soft pretzels looked delicious, and I can’t wait to come back and try a signature frappe. The workers were all very friendly, despite how crazy it was in there! I did struggle to find seating at first but eventually found a spot to sit down and enjoy my food.

So worth the hype. The pretzels alone are amazing enough to make me wanna come back. Also had the chocolate covered coffee bean mocha frappe which was like a coffee milkshake and the harvest salad which was very fresh

This place is my favorite spot in Happy Valley. It's always super busy, but the staff works hard to keep the line moving while being nice and polite. The lattes are delicious and the soft pretzels are THE BEST. 100% worth the wait.

I love this place so much! The food is phenomenal and the people are extremely welcoming. The place has a great atmosphere and the natural lighting is pleasant. The teas are extremely fresh and aromatic- I particularly loved the matcha. I come here often and make sure to show it off to any newcomers. I read the one star reviews, and they are outrageously wrong. Don’t trust the one stars. Come to Sowers!!!

Irving's is located across from Old Main right in Downtown State College. Food is delicious - bagels are fresh and coffee is tasty. I have now been to this location 3 times and each time, the experience gets worse. I realize they are a popular joint and this past weekend it was peak move in time for the college students; however, it was completely ridiculous that we waited 57 minutes for 2 bagels, a cappuccino, and an iced coffee. The wait area is extremely uncomfortable with massive crowds hovering over the counters waiting desperately for their food. It felt like we were a bunch of sardines tightly packed in a tin can with barely any space to move. I am pretty sure it was probably against building code and a fire hazard as well, but I am not well versed in PA building code laws so I may be mistaken. Seating is first come first served so it can be challenging to find a spot to enjoy your meal/drink. I am not exaggerating when I say we waited 57 minutes. I checked the time on our receipt to when we got the food and it was 57 minutes. All 3 times I have been to this location the wait time has been outrageous, but this weekend was the worst. The previous 2 visits, the wait was around 35 minutes for bagels and coffee, which ok fine, in a busy downtown college town can be expected, but 57 minutes is completely unacceptable. I typically avoid writing negative reviews; however, Irving's actually can be a great place because the food is absolutely delicious and I want to see them improve so that I am willing to visit again. I overheard several out of towners say they will never visit again due to the wait time and that actually makes me sad because I am PRO small business. They just need a better system to handle the crowds. I have several solutions for them (as a supply chain executive and a six sigma/lean practitioner) so they are welcome to reach out if interested.

Loved my lox & cream cheese on a tomato basil bagel. The service was slow, but they were crazy busy. The wait won't stop me from coming back.

Great breakfast Sandy’s and yes, the lox and bagel is to die for overall super great at atmosphere wonderful lattes, and the staff that goes to the extra mile ensure that you have a great experience when eating their bagels and and anything you order off the menu

A New York bagel shop just across the street from Old Main, Irvings is a great place for incredible breakfast/lunch fare while catching the Penn State vibe. Home of State College’s best and IMO only authentic bagels, they are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, with a selection from plain to Everything. Irvings has lots of cream cheeses and sandwich selections (the Breakfast Special served all-day long), awesome bread and pastries too. Then there’s the drinks, from milkshakes to smoothies, great fresh coffee and plenty of bottled drinks. The main-stay staff knows their stuff; student staff members come and go, and seem to enjoy themselves while working which makes for a better experience. It’s my go-to spot for family breakfasts, coffee with colleagues or clients, or a quick bite with friends. I love Irvings!

Irving’s has always been pretty consistent with their quality when it comes to their fresh bread and bagels, smoothies and overall product. All of their breakfast items taste amazing, but I really enjoy going for lunch and getting the pizza bagel. It’s super basic, but they make it taste great.

Great experience at Irving’s Bagels! I like the atmosphere a lot. Service was friendly and prompt. There are plenty of tables to sit and study a while, and they have additional seating downstairs too, though I believe that is temporarily closed. I had a vanilla iced coffee and an everything bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese. I don’t really like their cream cheese much but it’s okay, I’ll try a pizza bagel next. Prices and vibes are good, and the location is super convenient. I’ll be back!

Always fast, excellent service. Daughter was a regular here throughout attending college, & we'd stop in when I'd go visit her. I feel this location's commitment to accessibility in their providing readily accessible straws deserves it's own special thanks. Disabled customers like me greatly appreciate it!!

Coffee wasn't as good as other Starbucks, but it was still enjoyable.

Workers are too busy doing handshakes than make my drinks that I ordered a half hour before getting there. With 10 workers and 10 customers you’d think it would take less than a half hour to get a singular drink. Mismanaged Starbucks, will not be going back.

I had a specific drink and an unusual request and they were happy to make sure it came right, drink tasted great, unfortunately forgot to see their names. I’d expect a college town Starbucks to not be as good due to the high volume of customers (I’m assuming) but they were great

Starbucks is great as we all know. The bartender Mike was awesome and made my drink perfectly - best I've ever had at a Starbucks. Service was quick too so if you have over 15 minutes between classes you'll be able to get your order quickly enough!

It’s one of my favorite coffee places here. The coffee is good. I don’t have pictures but I tried their biscuit and jam and their cookies and they were all good especially the biscuit and jam. It can get loud and a bit crowded at times, but it’s spacious enough compared to other cafés.

Very nice coffee shop. Very friendly staff. The coffee was slightly sour. The peach toast I got was really good. Very solid crunch on the bread. The protein smoothie was my favorite.

The best coffee I've ever drank! There is so much flavor in every sip and it’s so smooth. I don’t think Im going to be able to drink anything else. This is a must try spot for anyone who enjoys coffee!!

My friend raved about the lox toast, so I got to try it today. It's really yummy. I love bagels, but it's nice not to have all the carbs. The veggie cream cheese, cucumbers, and red onions really perfected this dish!

This is the best cappuccino I’ve had in a long while. I’d go out of my way for this cappuccino. Really good flavor and really good milk texture. I can taste the well balanced espresso through the milk. The barista said that a cappuccino is one of the things they do best, and I was not disappointed! Hands down worth a stop. It was a bit warm inside, so we sat at the slightly wobbly outdoor seating. But it was not annoying enough to diminish the experience for me. Well done Rothrock.

I love this place. Their peach toast is so rich in flavors and is amazing, even their lox toast is great. Matcha tastes good as well.

This was so close to my hotel that I had to try it. It was really the Lox toast pics on Yelp that brought me here! The front counter person was so nice and friendly. Every time I had questions he was so informative and friendly! I wanted to try the Darjeeling earl grey with steamed milk and a touch of honey (I know it’s a “London fog”). It was fabulous! I also got the whole milk latte and the lox toast. It had veggie cream cheese, salmon, cucumbers and picked onions. Exactly what I needed after my long flight the night before and a workout. It was kinda crowded around 1:15pm ish and died down a lot around 1:30. There were a lot of people using their laptops on the benches inside and limited seating outside. I was able to snag a bench top inside looking into the parking lot. Great first mini meal in State College, PA!

Loved Elixer!! Local coffee shops are the best! Very friendly staff- excellent espresso drinks, and a very welcoming atmosphere! Great location too! So good, I went twice while in State College!

State College Elixr was very good. Baristas were personable and quick and make a very good cup. My decaf mocha was very good and my wife said the cappuccino reminded her of Italy.

I had a nice time here! The caramel black sea salt coffee was super delicious as well, and the workers are very nice too! It’s a very cutesy little place and I would definitely recommend coming here!

I have found the perfect cup of coffee. I mean at least for me. What a wonderful little coffee spot and just some of the most flavorful coffee I've ever had. Not really that acidic and so good. The croissant was like butter and flour that had been handcrafted by angels if you believe in them. Otherwise it was somebody in a kitchen but whoever did it produced a beautifully delicious croissant. Just a wonderful experience and a really good cup of coffee.

Coffee menu was unique and trendy. Food selection left a little to be desired but it’s a coffee shop not a bakery. Inside gets pretty crowded which is to be expected for the area and population. Outside seating is available. There’s no large sign so you might miss it if you’re not paying attention.

One of the best matcha lattes in State College, the almond croissant is also pretty good with enough filling. Love the atmosphere as well.

Location is convenient, cozy, cute! The coffee, fantastic. Whether flavor latte or not, great way to caffeinated and spend a while reading or meeting with a friend. I can get pretty busy, but the baristas are very efficient while keep coffee quality, which takes skill! <3 Bravo! haha look forward to stopping back again :D

I was looking for a unique spot to get some work done during my visit to State College & this fit the bill wonderfully! Great vibes amongst books & vintage shop, but slow service in the cafe due to being ran by students. They were out of both things I ordered & didn’t let me know, but when my snacks never came, the manager acted quickly to find a solution. - also great prices; there are many options $7 and under

Great place to chill and hang out. With some book-reading ambience music from local bands to a good variety of books to buy off-the-shelf, it's one of the nicest nooks in downtown state college.

Jazz Brunch Webster's Bookstore & Cafe was delightful this past Sunday. There was a nice assortment of brunch foods, the stars for me being the roasted potatoes, probably the best I’ve had while dining out and the fresh fruit. The pancake texture was a little off for me, but Hubby said a little extra syrup did the trick for him. Kudos to Webster’s for serving organic maple syrup, I hate when the only option at a restaurant is “pancake syrup” whatever all that concoction is…. The background live music was lovely and just the right volume so table conversation could still be enjoyed. Cool place to browse, too!

Can I please move in? This place is enchanting! There are books, coffee, food, clothes and some antiques, what else can I ask for? Loved the tables in little nooks where one can study, read or hide from the world:))). We accidentally got here, right after we have already had lunch, so we didn’t get a chance to try the goods, but this is the first place on our list for our next visit to State College

Reminds me of places in Greenwich Village in the 60s. The bowls we had were the size of a side salad in most restaurants with prices of a large vegan bowl in Greenwich Village of today. I had a chia latte which tasted watered down.

Fantastic hidden gem! I tried the limited edition Almond Joy Iced Latte with Cold Foam and it was delicious! Not too sweet, thankfully, which is a hazard of flavored syrup specialty lattes. The cafe was airy and clean with lots of seating and wholesome decor. They had a little guest book you could sign at the door, and cute stick notes with encouragement and doodles in the bathrooms, and a wall of employee profiles. It's clear this place cares about their workers and workers care about the cafe and its patronage. I will be going back ☺️

Day blend coffee was so good. Tried three different types of breakfast sandwiches 🥪 Pennini sandwich cost $11 but it was worth it, tasted delicious and a chips bag comes with it. Egg & cheese bagel 🥯 was good too but I didn’t like much the egg & cheese croissant 🥐 it felt empty. Staff were friendly, atmosphere was great and attentive with nice back ground music 🎶. I recommend this place and think I will be back again.

5 Stars – A Perfect Start to Our Day! I ordered a large breakfast spread from Good Day Café for a sales meeting at Keller Williams in State College, and they absolutely knocked it out of the park! The order was ready on time, beautifully prepared, and the entire team was incredibly kind and helpful. They even went the extra mile by helping me carry everything—food, coffee, and all—next door to our KW office. Huge shoutout to Cody, the manager, for coordinating everything so seamlessly. It was a smooth, professional, and genuinely pleasant experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for both personal and corporate catering!

had a really lovely experience this morning! first time in state college and stopped in for a coffee on graduation morning & i was first met with the pleasant face & greeting from the girl who took my order! she was so kind and welcoming. order wait time was standard for a coffee shop on a graduation morning in a busy college town! hopefully i will get to come back again soon, my drink was a basic mocha cold brew with sweet cold foam but it was superb!

Vibe Coffee Co. is an excellent coffee spot in State College, PA. The nice fella behind the counter was friendly and made me a great cappuccino. Place is clean and has a good vibe too. Overall it’s a good local coffee spot with great coffee.

I had the BEST experience at Vibe Coffee Shop!! I was visiting with friends for a couple of days, and every morning Ethan brightened our day with the most delicious drinks…we were never disappointed!! My coffee flight was incredible, and each coffee made me excited to try the next one! We cannot wait to come back and try more amazing items! Vibe is a perfect college town coffee shop. The workers are friendly, the atmosphere is ideal, and the coffee is top notch. I've only eaten a blueberry muffin there, but it was great, and I would imagine their other food is quality too. Highly highly recommend to anyone living in or visiting State College/Penn State.

Vibe Coffee Co is a super cute coffee shop in downtown State College! I got the Tussey Twix and enjoyed it. It wasn't super over the top with the Carmel flavoring which was a little bit disappointing but it was still really good! My friend got the Townie Batter and unfortunately she didn't notice any cake batter flavoring at all except for the sprinkles on top. She still really enjoyed her drink and said your cold brew is tasty. Overall a really nice place to hang out and talk.Could use a little more seating inside as well as some decor on the walls but other than that it's a very charming little place to meet a friend and grab coffee!

Friendly staff, yummy treats, and cute vibes! Delicious vanilla lavender latte with oat milk. Coffee was great! Chocolate chip and sea salt cookie was insane! Definitely want to go back to try their giant slice of quiche and massive piece of cheesecake. Mmmm! Plus adorable decor inside!

A cozy place to have breakfast right outside the campus. We ordered baguettes and some coffee and we highly recommend it.

I’ve been going to this place somewhat regularly for a while. The bagels are amazing and come with your choice of a variety of delicious cream cheeses. Regular and bacon cheddar chive are my favorites. The cheesecakes are also really good and there’s new varieties everyday. The coffee and espresso drinks are also really good. There isn’t a huge menu of things but what they make they make really well. Definitely one of the best spots in town!

The bakery items look absolutely delicious, though I only stopped for coffee. The coffee drinks are great quality and on par with every other coffee shop price wise. The people are kind too, just know you'll probably have to wait a little while before you get your food/drink(s). Overall good experience

If I could give more stars I would! I ordered a Vanilla Lavender Latte w/ Oat-milk after seeing great reviews and I must say that it was AMAZING!! I also ordered a bagel which came with the cream cheese ON THE BAGEL. That's rare. Only side note is that there was a little too much cream cheese on my bagel, but that's not really a big deal. The more the merrier! :) I highly recommend the cafe and hope that it's able to have a flourishing business in State College and stay for the long term.

I love this place. I've never been disappointed by their coffee and their quiche is DELICIOUS. I haven't their other food items yet, but they look really tasty. Staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. The only downside is that it's a wee bit cramped in there, but I understand that's beyond their control. Highly recommended!

The Penn State Creamery is a must visit. I had the Peachy Paterno and loved the real chunks of fresh peaches in every bite. The rest of the family raved about the Chocolate Marshmallow and the Peanut Butter Swirl. Both were rich, creamy, and full of flavor. If you are in Happy Valley, make this a definite stop. You will not regret it.

An institute. Renowned for the Agriculture School's proud 100+++ year ice cream making and education history. Highly recommend doing one of the frozen dessert short courses of you have the time and means. The ice cream itself is very good of course, flavour and texture caters well to the US palate. Very large serves, only one flavour allowed in a cup/cone but you can try before you buy. Happy happy joy joy, death by chocolate are my solid favourites. Fresh dipped is always best, but you can also order the tubs to be delivered to you.

Delicious ice cream that is worth the usually long line! Although a tad pricey, they give you a very generous amount. The ice cream is not too melty, which I appreciate! Their flavors are always delicious; I enjoyed the Happy Happy Joy Joy flavor last time. I also love their death by chocolate, arboretum breeze, and peanut butter twist. I highly recommend stopping!

The Creamery at the University of Pennsylvania is a student-run ice cream shop located right on campus, known for serving locally sourced, small-batch flavors. It’s part of Penn’s School of Veterinary Medicine and originally launched as a way to highlight agricultural innovation and dairy science. The project gives students hands-on experience running a real food business, from production to marketing. Everything is made in-house, with seasonal flavors and rotating classics that reflect both quality and creativity. I had the mint chocolate chip—it was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Plus - it hit the spot on a hot day!

Everyone says that this place is THE place to go at Penn state and they were right. The ice cream is amazing. If you’re ever in Penn state, definitely give this a try. Ice cream is relatively cheap too

Figuring out the flow of things was a challenge but we figured it out. The staff was rough around the edges but the ice cream was so decadent and creamy. I have been thinking about the strawberry cheesecake ice cream since I left. Bring a cooler as they have ice cream , milk, and cheese prepackaged to take home.

I have had the ice cream at other shops that scoop it and thought it was good but I had always wanted to stop at the main creamery. It was good but a huge disappointment. You can only order a $6 double scoop whether in a cone or cup. And - you can mix the scoops. You can only order the 2 scoops of one flavor. I wouldn't waste my time and paid parking to go again. I will find a more customer oriented shop that allows ordering 2 scoop of 2 different flavors. Like I said a HUGE disappointment. I threw most of my $6 cup away.

I go to coffee shops all over Happy Valley either to work or to just grab a coffee and a light snack with friends, and I must say this is the best spot for both!! I love their coffee; they serve them in cute mugs. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I tried their veggie naanwich which was simple yet delectable. Their latte flavors are to die for, and the free parking doesn’t suck either! The staff is always super friendly and courteous.

I’m going to sum this place up in a few words, cute, delicious, and perfect! I’m a regular and I go here with my friend every chance we get. I get the iced chai latte and safe to say it’s delicious!! The Italian sodas are delicious as well with the fun flavors to choose from. Don’t even get me started on the pastry’s. There absolutely perfect. Also, the staff is very nice and friendly. The atmosphere is also so good!!! The cute painting and trinkets make it so cozy! I would 100% recommend to somebody!!

Cute!!! It makes an amazing bus stop, if you're connecting between the CC and CataRide north zone. There's multiple smaller rooms and the front door doesn't open straight into view of the desk. I'd also 100% recommend this gem if you or your friends have anxiety over being aggressively greeted lol. The staff are awesome, but not in your face.

Very nice to enjoy outdoor seating. However, very limited so you should be lucky. Also, the parking is somewhat limited. I did not like Americano as it was too blend... too much water? But latte was good. I especially like to have nan sandwich they have. Perfect relaxing brunch place.

I ordered oatmeal with brown sugar and nuts. It served with whole milk and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Their service was wonderful and the earthenware used for serving looks antique and elegant. 🥰 The only thing I want to point out is that the oatmeal was too dry for me so I have to pack up the remaining back home to finish with more milk.

A beautiful coffee shop located inside the Lemont house. Many nooks to sit in, and the outdoor area is also inviting. Nice staff and available parking. I got the London fog tea which was ok, but could use a bit extra lavender flavor. If you are here, consider stopping at the Slab Cabin park nearby for some nature, or at voodoo brewing for extra fun

An absolute gem of a cafe. Beautiful interior with several rooms for indoor dining and a huge outside area with additional tables. The staff is friendly and helpful. The sandwiches, cookies, and drinks are delicious. A must visit if you're in the area. It can get busy, but the line moves quickly.

I have to say the egg tarts don’t quite live up to my expectations. They are served cold which is already not a good sign. The pastry feels overcooked, with the bottom rising too much, causing the custard to have overflowed during baking, but instead of being super crispy, it is rather hard and chewy. The custard is quite dense and sweet but the amount of custard is a bit stingy and there is hardly any extra aroma or taste to it. I was anticipating them to at least be as good as what I made myself at home. I also had a ham & cheese. The strongest flavor of it is Heinz ketchup and really, I believe anyone can roughly reproduce it even in a busy morning.

I heard from some colleagues that Chew Chew Bun has some excellent pastries. However, when I went there with my partner, their pastries did not live up to this expectation. We got the chocolate cookie and chocolate muffin and both were so dry that we could not finish either of them. Keep in mind, I am very cheap and I always finish my food, especially if it is a $4 pastry, but this was different. I honestly do not understand how you can make a muffin or cookie that dry. Like I feel like you would need to intentionally make it that dry. The service was quite nice and the workers were quite friendly. The cafe is quite small (like there are 3 seats) and we really couldn’t find a seat to sit so we had to go outside and eat else where. I still have some hope since I trust my colleagues on their food recommendations, but I still do not know how their pastries were so dry!

Heard about this place through friends and I visited with my wife and children last week. I really loved the aesthetic and atmosphere. There was also this young lady I think her name was Katrina or something I forgot. She was really nice to me and my family and I really loved her pastries. I would recommend this place to everyone and would definitely visit again!

Absolutely adorable coffee shop with amazing baked goods! My favorite place to stop by for a latte and breakfast in the entire state college area. They have food that can appeal to anyone as well as unique flavors. The employees are always a delight. Can't recommend them enough!!

Eh, I was underwhelmed. I think particularly because this is not my usual selection for coffee. It was very milky and overly sweet. I get how most people would enjoy this but for me I am not into overly sweet lattes. I also love anything in a 24oz cup but their sizes here are small. Overall I could see how others could like this place but I do want to try the desserts, they look really good. But as for the coffee, I’ll stick to vibe just down the street

I always look for such cozy and homely place to drink tea or coffee. They have both inside and outside seating arrangement. Loved talking and watching the owner making tea and coffee for us. Those who are from Bangladesh or India, should come here for desi cha!! This month old tea and coffee shop is also an awesome place for buying dried stevia leaves and many more harbs.

Really cute and homey little cafe and hemp seller (literally, it’s in a home, entrance up the ramp to the right). The sitting area could use a bit of tidying and I’d love to see a sign clearly indicating its presence, but it’s a superb little local cafe that I will happily support in the future!

I didn’t figure out the entrance immediately but aside from that once I walked in I was greeted with a smile and had wonderful service…ended up getting a London fog and it was delightful! Definitely looking forward to my next visit! :)

What a hidden gem! The cafe con leche tasted just like the coffee my host mother would make me during my summer abroad in Spain. Starting my morning with toasted pan de barra and her cafe con leche is one of my fondest memories, and nothing has come close to the taste-- simple, yet comforting-- until now. Will definitely be returning!

This morning I finally tried this place after seeing it pop up behind my apartment and I wish I had discovered it weeks ago. The flavor options are so unique AND delicious. The care with which my coffee was made was such an awesome way to start my day. I got the strawberry shortcake ice coffee and it was delicious. The coffee was so good and the homemade syrups were just the cherry on top. Everyone needs to know about this place!!

My new favorite coffee shop in town! With an expansive menu sure to please coffee and tea drinkers of every stripe, extremely pleasant and friendly service, and a downright cozy location and atmosphere, everything about CH&T is great. Make sure you try their rotating special drinks, which bring a lot of fun and flair to the menu!

This is my new favorite spot in State College. The drinks and pastries are delicious. We were helped by a lovely employee who not only provided great recommendations but made us feel warm and welcome on our first visit! I encourage everyone to drop in and try the passion fruit tea!

Never again will I choose Panera. While traveling for work I got a half salad and soup for takeout. They pack the salad so tightly into a small container that you can't even mix the dressing in without the lettuce going all over. And what's with the tiny container of dressing??? What do you get, like, 2 tablespoons? That's pathetic. And the baguette is just thrown in the bag uncovered. You can't even wrap it in something? I understand the need to maximize profits but you guys are just cheap and chintzy. Does it really cost THAT much to give a decent amount of dressing with a takeout order?!? Most of my salad ended up having NO dressing on it so I just threw it away. Cheap cheap CHEAP!! And you can see from the pic that the lettuce isn't even that fresh looking either. Never ever ever will I choose this chain again.

I have to say this was the worst Panera experience I have ever had. The young woman ( tall, dark hair with glasses) making sandwiches was so rude and unprofessional. After 15 minutes I went up to see if my sandwich was ready , because I noticed people that came in behind me were getting their orders first. I ordered a simple croissant with egg and bacon. She snapped at me saying she doesn’t appreciate people coming up to the counter asking about their orders and standing there. She kept saying rude comments while I and now others were waiting for our orders. She was so rude to her teammates too. No need for this behavior or attitude. Also my order had nothing with corn but I actually bit into it in my breakfast sandwich, which was just gross. Overall this Panera location customer service is awful.

Many seating options available, outlets at most of the tables, including the high tops. Tasty food and beverages. Friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms were clean and staff quickly handled the needed maintenance/stocking when it was brought to their attention. In the realm of places to work remotely, it’s a bit noisy (obviously it gets noisy when busy but the sound seemed to carry through the whole restaurant more than normal) but otherwise a decent place to do things that don’t require audio.

(In all fairness, this was the Sunday lunch rush the day after Penn State homecoming.) The place was packed. As we entered our order in the kiosk, a staff member said it would be a 23 minute wait. (It was over 40 minutes.) We got the last open table left in the place. There was a crowd to fight through at the pickup counter. But my salad was great, when I finally did get it.

I put in a rapid pick up order, after about 1 hour it should was not ready and still said “order received”. I understand they were busy so I figured I would just call and cancel my order. Ray the general manager answered and cancelled my order. However, I did not get a cancellation email, certification or a notice that a refund will be coming. I called again just to make sure, he was very rude and kept insisting since he is the general manager he 100% cancelled the order. Still no refund to my account. Skip this Panera and just go to the one downtown.

This is one of those Paneras where the attraction is the barely-holding-it-together vibe of the foyer. The coffee is standard. The sandwich are fine. The mac and cheese is government issue. No complaints. But the ambience in the 40 square feet between the main doors and the counter is bonkers. Look for the glass that at least 300 people have touched after handling baby back ribs. Watch out for the welcome mat half-rolled up and shoved into the corner. Mingle with Penn State students and their wet coughs. Admire the fake leather bench that doubles as a collection point for Gardners Candies bags. Revel in the smells that are 45% food and 55% human. 1613-A has a special place in my heart.

I have ordered here ahead of time twice because I have a 30 minute lunch break, and both times I have not been able to eat or even receive my meal because my food is not ready within those 30 minutes. I have had to request two separate refunds from Panera bread, BUT I CANNOT USE THEM ON MY NEXT ORDER BECAUSE THE FOOD TAKES LONGER THAN 30 MINUTES. It’s absolutely ridiculous and other customers are also waiting in line way longer than they should. This is a recurring problem at this location and they desperately need a better system or more employees.

Even though I live far, far away outside of State College in Las Vegas, I always buy my coffee from The Cheese Shoppe and have it shipped. Why? Because the proprietor, Ray, really knows his beans inside and out and each package is delivered with a sense of gratitude. I highly recommend to all coffee connoisseurs.

"Medium" roast was burnt to hell. Coffee burned by napalm and jet fuel would have more flavour compared to what I was given. Having a roaster in the front is good theatre, but it doesn't help to have everything be smoky and have the burnt smell cling to your clothes as you go to work. Hours are strange as well: not early enough to come in before work, not late enough to pop in afterwards. Not worth the trouble, despite my usual enthusiasm for supporting local businesses.

Bill was there. I believe he is the owner. He is an attentive nice man. He was really cordial and pleasant. I got half block of Hollandaise cheese (gouda) and coffee. There is a big repertoire of coffee there according to the roasting preference of the clients.

One of my favorite places in State College. Maybe the best coffee in town and they have an awesome selection of cheeses.

I came for coffee but now it's my second home! The shop owner is the sweetest, he's had this place for 25! The place is very cozy and feels like home, flowers, hidden, sky and wind, I love it.

Absolutely one of my Favorite places in state college. Numerous different types of coffee blends, freshly made coffee with different blends each week. Same goes for cheese. The gentleman owner of the place is so nice and knowledgeable about his profession, he even offered me a gift.

Food was good. Just a reminder food price might seem a little overpriced due to smaller portion size than you normally see in other places.

As an enternal pessimist I always find something wrong and am hard to impress. But this soup i had was the best i ever had. It seeped into my stomach and hugged my intestines warmly. Didnt know what i was missing until now. I had the seafoad explosion, literally exploded in my mouth.

Just had the worst service here. one of our dishes was inedible and they didn’t even say sorry or do anything to fix it. They just explained that no one’s ever complained and that’s how it is. Food had a fishy funk smell to it. Not once did they come to fill up our waters. dishes were small and way overpriced. I’m Asian and know how these types of foods should taste and this is not it. Stay away!

Nice spot for lunch or dinner. Food is a little eclectic, but could be described as Asian fusion. Pork buns were good, but you need to use the dipping sauce. Crispy duck rolls were amazing! Kimchi fried rice was fine, not much kimchi. Drinks were interesting and delicious

Get the hot rose milk tea and bulgogi kimchi tots for sure. Loved the crispy duck roll too! Didn't get a chance to try the desserts but they all look stunning. This modern asian fusion place is State College's best kept secret!

I don’t think I can express how much I love this place. Beautiful presentation, extremely fresh, lots of balanced flavors. I always feel homesick for my country’s food, and I normally just get some Americanized version of Asian food. But this place was so balanced, perfect, and authentic. The flavors were very clean and not muddied. The teas were fantastic and not overly sweet. The staff got our food out in 10 minutes and was very kind and quick. Atmosphere was clean and modern. Sad part is that this place is tucked away behind Jimmy John’s and Big bowl so I bet people don’t see this perfect place.

Tucked away in a little nook along Calder Way, behind-ish McLanahan’s, is where you’ll find Bistrozine. Each time I’ve come here, the food, service, and atmosphere have been great! The food can sometimes surprise you with the fusion twist, but it’s a delicious surprise. And you can tell the food is made is love, creativity, and pride. The menu also gets updated from time to time, so you may find a new favorite! (I’m hoping to see my favorite pork belly & rice dish make a return.) I’m a big fan of the Seafood Explosion and Crispy Duck Rolls appetizers. The space itself is clean, bright, and cozy. And yes, there are swings at a few of the tables, adding a bit of whimsy to your dining experience. This is also a touch you won’t find anywhere in town. Give them a try and chances are, you’ll be asking yourself why you hadn’t gone before!😊

My husband and I went in on a Sunday morning around 9. There was a bit of a wait for the donuts as there were a few parties ahead of us, but they were worth the wait! We got the maple bacon, the cookies and cream, and the blueberry pancake, each hot and delicious. We wanted to order more. I felt like the price was appropriate for what we got and how fresh they are.

OMG, best donut I’ve ever tried! 😍 It was super fluffy, soft, and made fresh right in front of me you can taste the difference. Absolutely delicious and worth every bite! The only downside is the store itself was extremely hot inside. It was uncomfortable to stand there for too long, and honestly I felt bad for the workers having to be in that heat all day. I really hope they improve the air or ventilation because the donuts are amazing and deserve the perfect environment. 🍩✨

Duck donuts provides a made to order donut option which provides a lot of freedom and exploration to the experience. I went with the classic glazed donut because I am a simple guy, and it was quite nice and fresh. However it might honestly be a little too fresh, for my liking, but a nice warm donut can be nice. The service is incredible and the woman who was working there was so kind and helpful! I cannot emphasize this enough, she was so nice! The atmosphere is a little hit or miss but they have some decent areas outside to sit. Overall this is a good spot for a fresh donut!

This is my new favorite donut place when I am in the area. They have a wide variety of selections, you get to watch the donuts being made, and they even have you check them before giving them to you!! The donuts are always still warm and fresh when you get them, making it even better. The seating options and overall store cleanliness was great!! And the price?? It’s a steal. There is even complimentary water. Definitely coming back when I’m in the are again!

The Doughnuts are prepared to order so there is a wait, but it is definitely worth the wait for a hot doughnut. Plenty of good options plus a make your own option.

What makes this place so well worth visiting is the freshly made donuts that you create. Duck Donuts allows you to create your very own donut or choose from an array of available donut combinations. The staff is friendly and very helpful with describing the donuts and help making a good choice. They also are very good making the donuts. The donuts are soft, warm and doughy - absolutely perfect! Highly recommend visiting and trying them out.

I love duck donuts. Couldn't make up my mind what doughnuts I wanted, Is they have so many flavors. But the cashier was so helpful and helped me get the right ones. And the girl That made them was so nice and we're showing me everything that she was doing. I can't wait to go back to state college and get me some Duck Donuts. The maple bacon my son loves. The sand dollar is my favorite it was so good.

Nice breakfast place in downtown state college. Parking in front of the restaurant for pick up. Food was decent, little expensive. Sandwiches were decent. Steak egg and cheese was very good imo. I like the steak/beef flavor and in this sandwich it was very pronounced Handover w breakfast potatoes inside was good as well. Unbalanced in terms of where everything was placed. Expensive Overall it was good and I’ll be coming back as it’s a really nice breakfast.

The owner is a Colombian, and he is a great guy who understands that a good business has not only a good kitchen but a good service. Our usual breakfasts are: Raisin & cinnamon 🥯 bagel with cream cheese and a lox and cream cheese bagel with veggies. The Colombian coffee on the counter is really good. They have fresh squeezed orange juice as well us the Topicana bottle juice. Your choice.

I usually place my order online and come in within 10 minutes and it’s always ready. I get the big al every time and always tastes the same. Never disappointed. I always know the quality will be the same. Staff are always friendly.

A bit of a delayed review, but I did have a great experience here! Although I was only in the store briefly as I was ordering take out, the atmosphere was nice and I received my food pretty swiftly. The food itself tasted delicious as well, and the restaurant is now on my radar for future orders! Highly recommend!

Good quality food that tasted like home cooked. We had Biryani, Butter Paneer, Naan and Chai. Everything tasted delicious. The only shortcoming we found was the smell. The table was cleaned with the most stinkiest rag that I was about to puke 🤢🤢🤢 We had to change our table. Bathroom was smelly, too.

A Wonderful Taste of Home! The staff at Cafe Alina are incredibly friendly and always make you feel welcome. The food is consistently delicious and high-quality, and the prices are very reasonable. For us, it's the only place in State College where we can get a true taste of home—the Indian dishes are wonderfully authentic and taste just like they were made back home. We are so grateful to have this gem in town. Highly recommended!

This spot is a gem. The chai was soothing, the best chai in Sc, the paneer dishes were packed with flavor, and the naan was crazyyy. On top of that, the people are super kind, the service is quick, and the vibe is amazing. Its lively but also chill enough to hang out or even study. Definitely one of those places you’ll want to keep coming back to.

I ordered the chicken karahi and the mutton biryani. The chicken karahi was a bit bland, but the mutton biryani was comparatively better—though it still could have been improved.

Came here in a milky mood, I asked a lot of questions and was awnsered kind of plainly but not ignored. Large menu but I saw Mango Sago and know they are known for it, I asked if it’s good got a “yeah” and decided to try it. Didn’t think I was in a fruity mood but this is the best drink I’ve had in my life: has mango peices/smoothie coconut ice on top along with grapefruit and of course the sago 100% worth to try

O m g Momotaro is excellent with their menu variety that you’re sure to experience ONLY over here. Definitely don’t play it safe and try their specials and cheese teas! You will not regret it. Their hot boba milk tea is also to die for in the winter (my personal favorite is Earl Grey). However, the BEST menu items for sure are Mango Sago and Strawberry Mochi Milk with Cream. I have attached pictures of both and I just want to say you MUST try it. Mango Sago is basically a Mango Mango (Hong Kong style dessert shop all over New York and Philadelphia) bowl. Will miss this place so much!

For starters, Momotaro has an impressive menu. I did not know where to start with their vast selection of flavors and teas, but I loved seeing the variety, compared to the few standard versions you typically see at other milk tea shops. I ordered the purple rice mochi with coconut milk, and it was yummy! The taste definitely reminded me of my parents and the homeland. Service was friendly and quick. Location was clean and easy to find, and it was not too busy during the time and day we went so when we came (over holiday break), parking was also easy. I would love to come back and try their cheese teas!

Love the logo & packaging on the take out. Tres leches was THE best cake I've ever tasted! Im sad it's gone now. So rich & the cream on top was almost marshmallow flavor but I loved it so much. Im very picky with restaurants bc we make food better at home but this place got me beat on sweets! The custard was amazing as well but the crust on it was even better. 👌 👏

I really love them and love their drinks although I always end up buying their mango sago because it's the best, they also often do my weird requests like heyy can you substitute the mangos with strawberries!! The only down side is it's overpriced compared to other boba tea places. I wish their prices were lower. Kudos to the chinese man that works behind the counter, I love interacting with him because he's so pleasant!

I ordered a cake to be delivered to my son at Penn State. Cheri, the owner was so nice on the phone. Cake was delivered on time and was very tasty according to my son. I then received a thank you card from Cheri that included my cc receipt and a picture of the cake she had made. I was very impressed that Cheri thought to include a picture of the cake as I would otherwise never have seen what it looked like. Truly a nice touch. Will definitely order from Sweet Tooth Bakery in the future!

Cheri is the owner and she was awesome to work with. She helped me customize my daughter’s birthday cake. I sent her a couple pictures and we spoke over the phone to create the perfect cake. The end result was just what my daughter wanted!

This bakery is amazing and unique in this decade we live in. The order was a custom Cake phone order to be delivered in the State College area. All details from ingredients to decoration including delivery were followed flawlessly. In addition, I received in the mail a receipt, picture of the cake, and a handwritten thank you note from the owner Cheri. I wish I had discovered this bakery sooner while my daughter was attending Penn State. She still has friends at Penn State so we will be using Sweet Tooth Bakery in the future!!❤️❤️

Sweet Tooth Bakery made a BEAUTIFUL cake for our daughter’s birthday! My daughter said the cake was so delicious and she loved it!! I called from out of state less than a week before my son's wedding when I found out the couple could not afford, and therefore were going to skip, a cake. SweetTooth to the rescue! The staff was attentive and the cake was delicious. I'd definitely shop there again.

Cheri is just an awesome lady! She baked the perfect chocolate cake for my husband's birthday in just one day notice. While I am writing this review, I am still craving for the leftover cake. My husband is equally happy too. Thanks Cheri, for making the day special. I promise to come back.

This place is fine. Personally, this was the worst Panera experience I’ve had, and I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. When I ordered and received my sandwich, it was cold and didn’t have any bacon or cream cheese (which was part of the sandwich at default and was basically half the meal without it).

It's a Panera. No different than any other I've been to, except they have kiosks to order at. The food is good-to-great, service time is reasonable, and their bagel/pastry offerings are pretty solid too.

Great place to get coffee. However, it is not a great place to do work. There are so many nice spaces and tables but the music is so loud it pounds my head and even with noise canceling headphones I can hear the music because it's so loud. I have no idea how anyone can stand being in that type of environment for more than 5 minutes without getting a headache. It's unfortunate because it would be a great place to work otherwise.

Family fest menu from Panera! The veggie sandwich and the greek salad were good. The french baguette not so much (really hard for a baguette). The tomato soup was a little to strong so we mixed it with milk to get a lighter flavor.

Perhaps there is trouble staffing at the end of spring semester with this location but there was trash all over the floor indoors and outdoors. Tables were dirty, bathrooms were filthy and had no soap, so no one could be washing hands at this location. The staff looked actually distressed and stressed, perhaps not enough staff available? We each ordered soup which was fine but the place was not ok for eat-in and I worried when I realized that people were working without soap. I've never seen a Panera location in such poor condition.

It’s in downtown State College. As expected, during school semesters (Fall & Spring), you’ll get more variety of services (warm vs. cold) and atmosphere (quiet vs. loud). But during summer or winter times, it is a nice place to hangout.

Panera's are the same everywhere you go. And I suspect it's this familiarity that brings people back. That's why I come back...I can count on great quality every time. What makes this store stand out is the friendly service...and the energetic atmosphere from all the PSU students. Soup, sandwiches, salads, pastries, coffee and tea. You'll find something that satisfies you. Stop in.

When a person asks for little ice and keeps telling the worker little ice. You would think they would understand little ice. Not only did I get ice I got the same amount of ice if I didn’t say anything. I don’t pay for ice I would like to pay for the coffee I ordered! But that seems to be a foreign thought. It happens every time. Very disappointed as usual.

I seriously love my Dunkin, and don't have one were I live so when I come to work this is the 1st place I stop! Ima drive thru type of person so of course they got to know me and my boyfriend pretty well, we always laughed and joked. Well one day he misunderstood me cuz he can barely speak or understand English and made the drink i used to drink instead of the one I been getting for the past month or more, and I just so happened to have a free coffee on my app and the coffee was cheaper then the drink I got so he actually made me pay the difference even tho it was his mistake I meen who does that!?!?! Then I asked for xtra mocha, well the 1st one has so much in it I wouldn't even of been able to drink it, and the one I got ....well it pretty much just taste like ground ice smh!!! Then I got a donut, it was on it's side the icing slide off and not a single napkin!!! I feel like that was sayn a big f you!! I been going there for about 6 months or more and I will never go back!! I DO NOT tolerate rudeness and ignorance, especially when I'm giving them MY money!! He definitely just lost a customer!!!!!

This is an eat and get gas stop. Exxon mobil and Dunkin in one. Can't beat that with a 5hour drive back to ohio, in a mini van with kids. Very convenient.

Put in web order…waited almost 40 minutes. I always give the benefit of doubt bc I knew they were busy. People walking in ordered large order and getting taken care of…the others including myself waited patiently. The one employee said they are short staffed as I looked around there was at least 5 employees…short staffed or poorly managed? I used this location being a May Brands store but never again at this location. Piss poor service without an excuse

I usually don’t leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to speak up about the poor management at this location. The manager, Alexis, is consistently rude and unaccommodating toward customers. She refuses reasonable requests, such as adding extra scoops of matcha, even when the drink is clearly watered down and looks like plain milk and ice. On multiple visits, I’ve received cold hashbrowns, and when issues are brought up, Alexis shows no willingness to resolve them or provide good customer service. What’s more concerning is that even the staff quietly admit to being frustrated with her behavior, which says a lot. A manager should set the standard by being approachable, professional, and willing to accommodate customers’ needs, especially in tough situations. Instead, Alexis comes across as stubborn and dismissive. If this location wants to keep loyal customers, something needs to change. Other Dunkin’ stores in the area have managers who are kind, respectful, and focused on customer satisfaction — which makes the difference between a place people want to come back to and a place they avoid. Unfortunately, because of this manager, this location is losing that loyalty. Do better Alexis…

My wife ordered a breakfast sandwich with sausage, and got bacon instead. The bacon was undercooked and floppy, not crisp at all. The hash browns were soggy and fell apart when we tried to dip them in ketchup. The parking lot is poorly designed. If you park in the slanted spaces along the front, the drive-through line will block you from exiting to Atherton St. This added ten minutes to our time at Dunkin' Donuts this morning. It took that long for the line to progress two cars forward so we could cut through line to get out of the parking lot.

As a regular who loves Dunkin. By far the worst food I’ve ever had. The bacon was horrible I couldn’t even take one bite. And spending 6 dollars on a sandwich you don’t even wanna eat is the worst feeling especially spending that money everyday going there making a dice roll each time. I love Dunkin and their food but this Dunkin sucks. Only get coffee here

Great location. Easy to get in and out. Fast order fulfillment. I suggest actually going in to the store rather than drive through. In person moves very very fast at this site.

So I went to this location on February 22, 2024 in the morning to get a frozen hot chocolate and a chicken and roasted red pepper sandwich type thing and the cashier Joe. He was very friendly and very nice asked me where I’ve been because I used to live behind the store and I don’t anymore, but The girl that works there her name is Jacey apparently has been feeding the general manager. Some lies about me and saying that I have been talking about him when it wasn’t true I called him today to tell him what was going on and how I was treated by her and he blew up on me, so I would not go to this location due to the fact of how he treats people General managers name is Dennis

Sour coffee as always, nothing fresh asked for a fresh new one they gave me more sour nasty stuff, they need to clean thier machines or get new ones, gross
