Arrived to a pack house that said, it didn’t take to long to get a table. As for a restaurant it’s about what you could expect to a mom and pop shop. It was good but not the best I have had. Staff was very friendly but seemed like a side thought. I can’t blame them definitely feel like they could have used one or two extra people the day I was there. I would go back, would like to see it on a less busy day. Last thing, is the main restaurants very narrow for the walk way, don’t think it’s big enough to hold as many as it had in there

Couldnt be more diner than this. Operating since 1939. Food is made on a griddle right by the counter so you see them at work. Great breakfast sandwiches. Open only til 2pm. Lots of history. Service can be a little rushed because they can get very busy. Little souvenir shop. Bought a tshirt. Prices are reasonable.

My husband and I went here for breakfast. ...the service was friendly and fast. Our food came out faster then what we thought it would. I had French toast, my husband had a western omelet, both were very good. Will definitely go back again!

My breakfast I rated a '3.' One piece of toast, eggs; ordered soft scrambled- were greasy, the corned beef, incredibly salty--I like dark on outside, not burnt. My homefries; not the usual sautéed, were cubes & actually deep fried. So, I was truly Disappointed. We have been coming to Wellsboro for 25 years. The FOOD was always a '5.' Currently the staff were busy & efficient. The floors & the diner ceiling-- sparkling & Shiney, as always...

Visited Wellsboro Diner the morning following 1000 miles of motorcycling on the Cross Pennsylvania Adventure Trail with 4 other friends and 2 teenagers. This was my 2nd time, having visited with my girlfriend, my twin sons and a good friend in 2013 for my son's upcoming 21st Birthday . Breakfast was outstanding! Service was the best! I look forward to returning in the future for pie, which from my visit in 2013 was extraordinary!

Old school diner, great vibe. Our server's name was Kelly and she was super. Definitely recommend a visit.

We got there an hour before closing, the seats were full, and the staff was exhausted. Friends of ours slid over and we sat with them. Food came out within 15 minutes of ordering and was delicious. However, the staff voiced out loud several times they were done, exhausted, out of food items, and they locked the doors 25 mins early. I felt for them, however, it didn't make anyone feel welcome or comfortable to eat there. Let alone ask for a refill on my coffee. However, I did...a few times. Finally, my delicious diner coffee was refilled, we finished our meal, left and still gave a generous tip. I'm praying that using kindness was extended towards those around them.

Atmosphere-4 stars- located on the Main Street in the cute little town of Wellsboro PA this eatery has tons of seating. A few tables out front where you can people watch or inside in a couple of dining areas. Either in the bar area which has a large full bar with an assortment of beers on tap or you can dine away from the bar area in a dedicated dining room. Restaurant felt very clean. Service- 4 stars- waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave suggestions including her personal favorite- the Cheeseburger Sub. She was very attentive as well. Food- 4 stars- I went with our waitresses suggestion and got the Cheeseburger Sub however I got it as a wrap with fries. It was very good. We also got the Chicken Bacon Ranch Panini with fries. This was also very good especially the bacon- nice and crisp. I would definitely come back and try something different next time!!

Food and service were excellent, especially given a busy day such as the Laurel Festival. I had the Buffalo Chicken Panini, which was delicious. My husband had the Firecracker Wrap and my parents got sandwiches as well. All delicious, and our waiter Terrance was attentive, polite, and caring. This was our second time here, and first time was just as good as well. Thanks for a great lunch!

All four of us loved our dinner entries. Terrance the General Manager took great care of us! We are not from the area and we very happy we stumbled upon this amazing place! Definitely would recommend!

The place had a nice feel to it. My pecan chicken salad was very good. The chicken on it was sweet and tasty. I got the maple vinaigrette with it and it’s was great. The pizza was disappointing. Plenty of cheese but not much taste with the sauce and dough was not that great. Server made me feel a little rushed and yet was fine when we hung out for a while after our meal.

This weekend we decided to stay in wellsboro while seeing the Pa Grand Canyon. We walked around the town looking for dinner and decided to go to The Roost, upon arriving there we were told it would be an hr wait so we decided to walk and find a quicker option. While we were walking by our waiter Terrence invited us in saying had had plenty of seating for our party. The atmosphere was great, along with his service. He gave great recommendations on food when asked on which he would prefer. All in all, I would absolutely come back to this restaurant again.

The service was outstanding. Had a good selection of draft beers and bottles. You can even build your own six pack to go. The food was good, but not the reason for the four, it was the service and selection. They did allow my wife and mother-in-law split a salad and they did the same for my son and his wife.

I was nervous when we first walked in because it did not seem very busy. Our waitress was fantastic. The food was super delicious. They make a very good brushetta. I had the apple brandy pork and it was so full of great flavor. The pork was well seasoned and the brandy apple topping was perfect. If you are near Wellsboro PA this is a great place to eat.

Possibly the cleanest restaurant bathroom I've ever seen yet it didn't smell unpleasantly antiseptic. But that's not what you came here for, so it's a welcoming local venue, hosting regulars and tourists alike. Seems like a great team of people staffing this family owned enterprise. Salmon got rave reviews at my table. Crab cakes were a bit high on filler. Delmonico steak looked good but was not super flavorful. Decent prices, excellent service. Good value for the money.

At a place called The Steak House, you would expect good steak. You will not be disappointed. Stop in, enjoy the atmosphere in the quaint town of Wellsboro. The only disappointment was the over cooked broccoli. The mixed drinks more than made up for the broccoli.

Our server Kortney was so sweet and on top of everything! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice and comfortable and classy.

As is on our usual motorcycle trips, we always pull into town a little late. This place offered warm food and a decent atmosphere and quick seating even though it was relatively late. Got the prime rib. Certainly not the best I've had, but still very good nonetheless, especially at such a reasonable price point.

We drove over an hour and a half to try this restaurant. It was one of the best steaks I’ve had at a restaurant. Extremely reasonable prices and our server, Cindy, was wonderful! We will definitely be back! Don’t skip dessert!!

This is my all time favorite Steakhouse to go. Wellsboro is an amazing place. Geoff and Christina are the most gracious hosts. Been there multiple times. Coming back up for my 20th Wedding Anniversary. Your Favorite VIKING. SKAL! thank you for all you do Chris Bisler!

The great service and quaint atmosphere (which I loved) does not make up for bad food. I had the fillet and scallops with mashed potatoes and gravy. It was all bad. My brother had a burger and said it was good but not great.

Generous portion, especially my chicken sandwich - never seen anything like it, and good service. They added a 4% on the total bill if you pay with credit. The server was fantastic. Great atmosphere.

Good atmosphere, looks like an old train depot. Nice variety on the menu with interesting daily specials. Waitress was attentive and had pleasant. Great cocktails. It is a brewery but didn’t try those. Husband and I split the chicken strawberry candied pecan salad. We had the eggplant plant cutlet appetizer. I had a blackberry lemonade cocktail. Really cute clean town.

My husband and I had dinner here on our weekend away from home. The beer flight was good, our server made sure we had our food and drinks in a timely manner, and the food was great. The only thing to be mentioned is that it was a busy Saturday night, as to be expected at any popular restaurant. For some reason it seemed a little loud and cramped, I believe because it's a smaller place in general. Overall though, a decent night out.

We stopped here on our way into Wellsboro and I am glad we did. I ordered the Kielbasa Cheesesteak. I thought it would be a link on a roll with cheese and onions. It was actually shaved and chopped like cheesesteak meat normally is. I have no idea what black magic was used but it was a top 5 favorite sandwich I have ever had. It was amazing. My wife had the regular old cheesesteak and she said it was also delicious(but couldn't be nearly as good as the kielbasa). Even the homemade chips were great. Brittany was our server and she was topnotch! Friendly and attentive and offered a lot of suggestions. The atmosphere(although lovely) does not give off brewery vibes but the beer was all very tasty, I tried most of them. I think there were 12 or so on tap. If we venture up that way again, I will definitely stop there....I may make the 3 hour trip just to visit them again.

Good food and beer. Excellent service. Had to try the kielbasa cheese steak being both Polish and from the Philly area. Did not disappoint. Beer was great and I got a crowler to go. Would definitely recommend.

What an amazing find for such a quaint town. The owner is a really cool guy that brews his own beer. The chef creates amazing meals that will make your taste buds ecstatic!

Friendly atmosphere and the food is amazing. I had the Belgian Mussels and it was so delectable that I should have licked the plate clean! Hubby had the cheese steak and his also was phenomenal.

DELICIOUS…. This is a 5 star restaurant, GREAT service , Great Food , lovely establishment. The drinks were good , friendly staff, the place was so cute and clean . The food was fresh and so tasty. Highly recommend stopping if you’re in town . Thank you for a great relaxing time. They have really nice drink list and a menu with so many choices .

We came here after getting into town after a three hour drive and it did not disappoint! Staff was very friendly, even the cook came out to check on how our meals were. Drinks were good and prices were reasonable for the quality of food. They definitely have some amazing marketing as well! Would absolutely recommend!

Came here right before the lunch rush and was not disappointed. The atmosphere and decor alone is so eclectic. They were in the middle of switching from their summer menu to their fall menu, so some items were not available but it was honestly only 1 or 2 things. Normally I take pictures of what we ordered but we were so hungry I forgot to. We had an order of wings which were cooked to perfection. Had the chicken blt which came with this homemade dill/ranch sauce which with the side of tots it came with paired perfectly. 11/10 highly recommend.

I've always wanted to stop by here but never had the chance. Well I finally stopped by the other day and this exceeded all of my expectations. This is not your typical mom and pop hole in the wall restaurant. I would say this is a more upscale restaurant with incredibly unique items and a very diverse menu. All of my food was out of this world, the waiter did a wonderful job recommending my burger which I believe was the peanut butter and jealousy Burger as well as my appetizers which I can't remember the names but I have provided photos and it was quite delicious. This place is worth a stop and it's a good place to just sit down and cool off and grab a bite to eat if you have the time.

The food is usually good and good size portions. The lavender lemonade is sooooo good and I think it should remain on the drink menu for EVER lol. It's such a pretty drink and tastes amazing. The staff is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is a bit on the louder side when it is busy but it's still friendly.

I loved the decor and atmosphere. I had the chef burger and it was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The choice of toppings were great but you can also taste how fresh the meet was. My friend is a vegetarian and there were plenty of choices for her as well. She had the peas and harmony primavera and it was delicious!!! We will definitely be back at least one more time before we leave PA! I couldn’t add another review so here is my second night at The roost…. We had to go back and try the Berry Risotto… after reading someone else’s review we were hesitant but she was so wrong!!! We loved it! Lovers of creative dishes and this was one of them! Definitely gave me dessert vibes because of its sweetness we shared it as an appetizer and loved the flavor and consistency! That candied hibiscus flower was YUM and had us ordering the Hibiscus Mojito! The star of tonight show was the seasoned steak fries! They were perfect and the homemade mayo dip wow! The cheesecake scoop!! And the Wookiee Colada! We had the BEST waiter!!! Thank you for all the suggestions Jeffery. I may have to come back again To try the Peanut butter and Jealousy Burger. If you made it this far in my review…. I should add. Others have posted paid parking… if you read the sign you do not have to pay for the meters after 5PM. We did see people feeding the meter 🤷‍♀️

This might be wordy, but it's worth the read and meant to only help the business thrive and improve. We don't head to Wellsboro as much as we should when we decide to go out to eat, but since all the buzz recently that The Roost got for being featured on the Roadshow—America's Best Restaurants, we decided we needed to check it out. We visited this past Friday night for dinner, expecting it to be busy, which it was, but we were able to be seated right away. The place is small but laid out nicely, and the décor is exceptional—a very cool atmosphere! We were impressed by the refined look of everything right down to the menus. The hostess was very pleasant upon seating us, but our server might have been fairly new at the gig because he lacked in areas that are very important when waiting tables, drink service being one of those. We weren't provided any glasses for water, although a half-empty water pitcher was sitting on our table when we were seated. The drinks we ordered came out timely and were very delicious, but our glasses sat empty for a while before the hostess asked if we wanted any refills or to order something else. The bartender did an excellent job at making my margarita, and my husband enjoyed the beer selection. Our daughter ordered the strawberry lemonade, and that was also good. We ordered an app (fried pickle chips—YUM), and they came out timely as well; however, we weren't provided any small plates, silverware, or even napkins to ration out the app, so we allowed them to cool in the dish they were brought in. I had to snag our server and ask for those things and napkins; it was because they didn't have any small plates available at that time... finally, about 15 minutes later, our server brought us small plates, but I told him to use them for another table because the app was almost gone by this time. We received our meals approximately an hour after ordering. My husband and I ordered the NY Strip Steak entree with pricey add-ons of mushrooms and onions, and the meal came with a potato choice and sad roasted asparagus. I asked our server where the steaks were from, and he said he'd ask the chef. After asking him a second time, he returned to let us know the steaks were from Nebraska. I was a little disappointed that they weren't locally sourced. Besides that fact, the steaks were good and cooked as ordered; however, the asparagus needed help! Both of our sides were mostly thin, woody pieces of asparagus stalk that really should not have made the plate; we each only had a couple of tender spearheads that were good, but for the price of the dish, the entire side should be pleasantly edible. I had the dauphinoise potatoes, but my husband can't handle dairy very well, so he opted for french fries. Both potato sides were good; however, they were very small in portion size for the price. Our daughter ordered The Marg (margherita-style flatbread pizza). It was ok; however, the basil was dried up and wilted. Basil should be added after cooking so that it is green and fresh. The sauce/cheese combo was a little on the sweet side but still edible. Overall we felt that The Roost prices were a tad high for what we were presented with, and the service needs some improvement. The vibe of the restaurant atmosphere and décor was the most impressive thing about it. We won't totally disregard going back in the future, hoping that improvements are made; however, we've eaten at other local establishments for the same higher-end price but had a much better experience overall with better taste quality, portion size, and overall service.

Food was pretty good taste wise but the price for the service and quality of food is insane. our waitress was super nice but the owner was very much the opposite of cordial, we walked and he looked at us as if we were stupid and said “you can sit” in a condescending manner. they use a canned sauce, that you would see in a school or hospital. there was a total of 25 even at the bottom of my check and when she rung my food up it came to 21.73 after i had already given her a 15% tip. they also overcharged my co-worker. he payed about 50 bucks for a medium stromboli and a thing of cheese fries. all in all not worth it at all. if you want to spend your money go to get Fox’s right down the road.

We like to go to Wellsboro because it’s where my husband took me when he proposed. There are a few places we like to eat and Tony’s is at the top of the list. Great food, great prices and awesome people.

This are second time here the pizza and wings and salad is outstanding. We camp at stony fork campground from cortland ny. I rate this a10 plus. Will be back this week for more. The place is clean staff and owner are very 👍 nice🤗👏

My husband and I visited on a whim a few years ago while on an anniversary trip. Passing through whole traveling, i had to stop again. I wanted to grab food to bring home with me for everyone simce we talked abut how good it was before. I ordered a pizza and stromboli, and ordered ravioli to have there while I waited. Served with bread and salad. It was fantastic and very filling. Ive seen a few reviews mention pricing it is more than your chains, but it is also on par with pretty much every similar small business establishment, so it is priced fairly. For how filling it can be, its a good deal. Now the food I brought home...i buckler the pizza and stromboli in, and had a travel cooler for the tiramisu. The kids were thrilled that the tiramisu wasn't overwhelming. They felt it tasted like it should. Both the pizza and stromboli were fabulous even reheated. I love so much that neither were greasy, even with extra cheese, meats, etc. My favorite part, though? It is advertised as italian cuisine, ane it does not ruin it by overcompensation like a lot of other places do. The food we had last time and this time was thoroughly enjoyable. The service was great. Being from out of town, i liked watching the interactions between the restaurant and their regulars. The dining area was clean. I loved the photos! Its small, but situated so that there is plenty of seating room without being cramped. I look forward to when a drive brings me back through so that I can stop again.

The food - everything is awesome. I personally love his spaghetti and meatballs, however, everything is excellent here. The service - everyone is awesome, they will take great care of you! The atmosphere - you will feel welcome here, it's a great place. Try this place - you will love it and be back again and again!

I’ve seen this pizza place on a YouTube channel for years now group of guys hunt outside of the city and they always post this pizza place on their YouTube channel so I decided to stop in and it is definitely worth it. Best pizza I’ve ever had.

The girls that serve us was very great at there job . I cant remember her name but I picked on her about getting mushroo. With my food and she picked on me back and made us laugh.

We moved to Wellsboro last summer. Still feeling like fish out of water we were looking for a nice neighborhood bar. Luckily we stumbled upon this place. Friendly and unpretentious. The service was quick and attentive. Heidi is a very friendly and good bartender. Enjoyed the shuffle board. The next time we visit we look forward to trying the food. We felt very comfortable there.

The Margaritas are delicious and inexpensive, the food is simple yet tasty, but the people are the best thing about the Gaslight. We always look forward to seeing Heidi and she remembers us, even though we only make it up to Wellsboro a few times a year and it feels real nice to be remembered.

Very nice and cozy bar in downtown Wellsboro. The Gas Light has a nice menu focused on the standard bar fare. The burgers, wings, and onion rings we had were fantastic. They had a nice selection of beers on tap and the server was extremely friendly and checked on us often on a busy Saturday afternoon.

Stopped on the recommendation of a cousin who went to a nearby college (20 years ago!). Nonplussed to see a sign by the door that said "No weapons", but it was a Friday afternoon, so... Decent draft beer selection, and I ordered a chicken cheesesteak (suggested by a friendly couple at the bar). Bartender was entertaining, and the beer was cold and fresh. Chicken cheesesteak was diced chunks, not wafered meat, and the roll was a bit dry at the ends, but it was quite tasty. Good place, would return.

The bartender tall female i think she wore glasses very rude to costumers she was kicking people out left and right because I saw someone spill there drink and he cleaned it up but she let her power get the best of her and kicked him out then told everyone to leave August 23rd to be exact she wanted everyone to kiss her butt it's sad you cant just go have fun they had a great live singer but the bartender needs to relize it's a place of business you cant act like your the queen I won't be going back picking and choosing who you are nice to is wrong we could have not been any nicer to her she just is the average wellsboro bartender who let's her job go to her head she lost about 20 people that night im sure ron would not like that .he is a good guy and im sure he wouldn't like that he lost all that business cause she was being like that she needs to find a job that she doesn't work with people everyone had fun until then my God he cleaned it up she was getting tips after tips still not good enough she cant handle being a bartender I know alot of bartenders and they always try and please the crowd she was literally staring at us the whole night waiting for a mistake I dont like going there because of the bad attitude im trying to have fun not worry about am I gonna get kicked out she problem gota couple $ 100 in tips in the short time all of us while we're there I just want to say dang girl let us live your to controling

Always a great time when I'm in Wellsboro stop in for a couple drinks bartenders are always great service is always great the customers are always so friendly great place to hang.

Usually food is good or great, I love that sushi is a special here sometimes. However, today I was so disappointed. My roll was mostly rice, and the only thing I tasted was that and the veggies. As you can see in the photo there was a laughable amount of salmon and this is supposed to be a salmon roll! Don’t know what changed. Service was slow, but it was busy. She didn’t ask how I liked my food or I would have told her. Dessert (butterfinger cake) was great. Hoping sushi was a fluke as I hope to try their new menu soon and be back for sushi.

Fantastic experience! Food was fantastic! Highly recommend the brisket quesadilla! Came in last minute, but staff was extraordinarily friendly and accommodating! Worth a visit when you're in Wellsboro! Kirsten & Brittany are the best!

The service here was absolutely terrible. Our waitress was friendly, but nearly completely absent from our table the entire hour and forty-five minutes we were there. Most of that time was spent waiting on our food. We also spent most of that time with empty drinks because no one came around to check on us or refill them. The food on the other hand was fantastic. The menu had a great variety, the presentation was beautiful, and everything was cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself was clean, well maintained, and had a fun feel to it. If it wouldn't have been for the terrible service this would have easily been five stars.

We've had only terrific experiences here. The menu has lots of excellent options, and everything we have ever ordered at Beck's has been really tasty. The brisket quesadillas are our favorite thing on the menu. Their drink menu has lots of good options and cocktails are an affordable price. The servers and owners of the place are welcoming, attentive, kind, and personable. We also love the ambience, especially being attached to the Deane Center and having outdoor seating in warmer months.

We are from Albany NY and had dinner two days on a row as the restaurant was close from the hotel. We had sushi for appetizer, sliders, Korean BBQ tacos and sweet potato gnocchi. Everything was so good! The servers are friendly and nice, the atmosphere has a very contemporary vibe with nice bar and music. If we were near we'd definitely go back!

The food here is delicious. Everything is made fresh including the fries, bread, and chips. The fries are the best fries that my family and I have ever had and they come in mini fry baskets. I had the salmon BLT and I really enjoyed it. There wasn't a long wait on our food. The prices are really good. Our sever was very friendly and was always there when needed. I would definitely come back here again. I recommend. The inside is really clean and kind of a modern rustic feel.

Walking in to the restaurant could not help but notice it was very clean and taken care of. I sat at the bar, the bartenders were very helpful on the recommendations so I Ordered a build your own burger Requested med. and it came out PERFECT Sweet Potato Fries were on point The staff was very nice cannot remember their names. But I do know one of them was in training and she did a fantastic job. Sorry I did not take a picture of My food as I was very hungry and could not wait to eat.

Outstanding food and service! A superb little rustic restaurant in remote, scenic North Central PA. Food was A++. Service was A++. Atmosphere was A++. Waitstaff is very friendly and know how to keep our drinks filled, make good conversation, and provide top-notch service throughout. Well worth a day or half day drive (or overnight stay nearby) to experience this restaurant!

agoRelaxed atmosphere serving delectable dishes. We each had a drink. Absolutely Apeach cosmo and Absolut Rasberri tickler. I went with the chicken florentine and my husband got the steak Alaska and he upgraded his steak to the 9 oz filet. We both got the French onion soup. It was loaded with cheese. Dessert was the chocolate confusion and we got icecream on the side. Everything was delicious. Be sure to make a reservation in advance as this place does tend to book up quickly.

My family of 5 stopped here after walking out of a local Inn & Restaurant without eating anything. We were camping close...it was almost 7pm, dark & raining & we were all hangry. So, we walk into this super cozy foyer & I can see the dining area, dimly lit, beautiful ambiance. It smelled amazing. A woman walked up & abruptly told that dinner is by reservation only. She wasn't downright rude, but definitely did not come off as a nice person. Ugh. We were so frustrated, but what can you do? We went back to the camper & had frozen pizza on the Blackstone. The next day, we decided to make a reservation. We spoke to the same woman as the night before & I will say, in the nicest way possible, she is just not a pleasant person. We felt like we were begging to get in & we were bothering her by calling. I am so glad we decided to make that reservation & go back! The same woman seated us & my youngest son, who is the cutest 8 year old, got her to smile & joke about a sign on the desk. Our server, Denise, was AMAZING! I honestly have never had a better server in my life. She was smiling, happy, friendly, knew about the menu, didn't rush us...perfection! My husband & I both got a cocktail & they came out fast & were good. We each got soup & a roll before the appetizer came out & they actually even brought us extra rolls. We shared 2 appetizers & had trouble eating all of it. Our meals were all fantastic & we just had a really nice evening as a family. This is the best place in the area for a family meal. Looking online, I did see posted that reservations are required. I did not see that posted anywhere outside or inside the building, which could be extremely helpful.

Neat little restaurant that is built like a log cabin. Very rustic interior with a beautiful fireplace. We ate there the Saturday before Christmas, so the place was beautifully decorated! It was Elf night, so all the workers were dressed like elves. This was cool and made for a festive atmosphere . Food was very good with large portions and a tremendous dessert tray for your sweet tooth. Service was decent considering who busy they were.

Definitely would not personally go back to this place. Some of the staff were trying to be nice but other staff were refusing to give services. They were not stocked well and out of several items. They refused to do substitutions when asked if we could do a substitution since they were out of several food items. The prime rib was subpar and the trout did not taste fresh. I know several of my family had a better experience but at my table group, we did not have a good experience. I do give kudos to the one waitress that got my brother a cherry coke that was really nice of her. I guess we just have to be the right kind of "people" to eat at this place... Which I take offense to, because I'm highly accomplished in my field and so is my brother and he was at my table and both of us are more than appropriate to be guests at this place!

Literally the best steak I have ever had in my life. So tender, so flavorful, and just melts in your mouth with every bite. The Delomonico and Queen prime rib were out of this world. We came from out of town for the weekend and Im beyond upset that this gem is over 3 hours from me. I would honestly make the travel just for their steak. My husband and I have come here before but, it has been a long time. There food and services is still wonderful! I am glad that we stop in to eat. It was very delicious! We had gotten the Salad bar all you can eat with soup and even some desserts like pudding, fruit cocktail too. It was a great time and we were very full. Our server was very good at her job. First of all... This place is cute! Our waitress greeted us immediately and we're seated quickly. She was extremely nice, upbeat and knowledgeable of the menu. Good was excellent. The salad bar was ok. It needed to be tended more and refilled a little more often. But, all in all it's a fabulous place.

Cozy place with friendly waitstaff. It says they have outdoor seating online, but they said they don't. There's a cute little porch with rockers. The coffee and the food were good overall, mostly hits with a couple of misses. Our waitress was as sweet as could be, and we'd definitely visit again.

Comfort food at its best! I love that it feels like a home cooked meal at your Grandma's house. The staff is extremely friendly and variety of food is amazing! The specials are always great, best Fish Fry in town, great soups, excellent burger variety and salad bar! THE BEST DESSERTS!

We spent 3 days in Wellsboro. I wish we had come here first. I had the small hoagie and had trouble finishing it. There was a half to three quarters of an inch of meat! It was very good.

Our breakfast was terrible, everything precooked and overcooked. Omelette cooked to burned brown, sausage was like miniature precooked hockey pucks in the omelette. Home fries were reheated days old terrible. We will not be back, total waste of money. Service was good and polite.

This place was fantastic! Quite the selection of beers, excellent food with high-quality ingredients, and a cheesesteak that was totally unique! Shout out to Angie for the excellent service!

Recommended: The skillet dog. Bacon wrapped hotdog with pulled pork bbq, coleslaw, and corn chips. Perfect meal after a hike. They had ~4 outdoor tables and a small selection of beers.

Needed to pickup a suit in town and realized I had not had anything to eat all day. I ended up walking over to Red Skillet due to the lack of a strong signal and read their menu outside, the Local Beef Burger looked like a fit to cure the rumbly in my tumbly. Tremendous choice. Delectable burger, well prepared on a brioche. Not going to lie, looked a little like a hot mess when it came out, but that was quickly quashed when I took a bite and then another, and then realized it was gone. Tip of the hat Red Skillet. Job, well done.

Deliciousness!!! My 20 year old daughter and I have specific diet choices with her being vegan and me needing to be gluten free. They offer many lunch choices that made it hard to decide what to order. We were very pleased with our food, the atmosphere was nice, and the service was great. Hopefully we can return soon.

I go here regularly for lunch for their premade/grab and go salads - which are always 10/10. But my husband and I also went here for a date night dinner this weekend - another 10/10 experience. The food was delicious with good portion sizes, and same for our cocktails and craft beer option. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Overall a great date night place. We’ll definitely be back!

This place is is pretty standard fare Chinese carry out in a drab restaurant. Nothing special. HOWEVER, their homemade dumplings are to die for!!! I loved them. There is a reason it is the dumpling house. If you find yourself in this part of PA, it is definitely worth a stop in even if it is just for the dumplings.

By far the best Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to. I have never had this good of fried rice or wanton soup anywhere. With free tea and an appetizer, good prices and terrific service this is my favorite restaurant anywhere. The experience here just gets better as they get to know you. Gary is a good man and takes pride in having excellent food. Give a good tip, they’ve earned it! Classical music!

Dumplings did not disappoint. 10/10. Possibly the best dumplings I’ve ever had. Rest of the food was good too, but the dumplings were the highlight. And you can get a crazy amount of food for the price! We made several meals out of our order.

This restaurant is a joy to dine in. I just love the atmosphere and the staff. It is fun sitting there enjoying the fried noodles with the dipping sauce while having a pot of hot tea that is offered to each table. When your entree arrives, I know it is going to be tasty. I have never been disappointed in the many years of going there.

After some car trouble on the way up to Wellsboro, we arrived later than expected on a Friday evening (~9PM). This was one of the only places still open for dinner on Main St., so we thought we'd check it out. It was, hands-down, one of the best Chinese meals I've ever had, and I've dined in the Chinatowns of NY, Philly, Montreal, and DC. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. The portions were large, the prices fair, and the service fantastic. I'll be stopping here for a meal anytime I'm in town, and I highly recommend it to others.

My top spot for Chinese food. Everyone at our table was quite pleased. Service is typically good. This place has an awesome atmosphere. They have a lot of great reviews for a reason.

Wow! Best Greek food I've had in awhile. The staff were kind and courteous. I ordered a gyro platter wrapped. I was pleasantly surprised with the salad it came with, absolutely loaded and delicious. The gyro was great. I tried the spinach pie.. great. I will definitely stop there again!

I’ve been to Wellsboro many times but have never stopped at this unassuming little diner on the edge of town. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I had a simple breakfast of a bacon, egg and cheese on an English muffin with hash browns, which you may think is impossible to screw up, but it has been done. The staff was incredibly warm and friendly and treated us like regulars. The entire menu is very reasonably priced with several items that put a Greek spin on some classic American dishes. They are apparently selling the restaurant but hopefully we will be back before they do.

For a fast food restaurant you wait forever and still have your order completely messed. Owners allow it to run understaffed for employees to complain that they are understaffed but still open to make you wait for long periods of time. Orders are more messed up than actually right and the wait time for a fast food is ridiculous especially for the price they charge

They have upgraded everything except customer service! Have to order at the kiosk, no table numbers available and cannot complete the transaction without it. Looking around there we're at least 5 table numbers sitting on empty tables. Pressed the assistance button - no response. When I finally got the attention of an employee, I was met with an eye roll and handed a table number. No apology or acknowledgement. Then waited over 20 minutes to be served a warmish burger and cold fries on a wet tray. Needless to say- won't be going back for a long time.

Girl just laughing at us for no reason, what is wrong with people? I’ve worked in customer service for years now and have never laughed at a customer who was simply stating their order?? I’m already having a hard night I didn’t need scrutiny from a teenager

Ordered just a plain cheeseburger. 1st try: Cheeseburger without onions 2nd try: Burger & Bun 3rd try: 4 people standing around the burger & bun. Slapped a piece of cheese on it & called it a day. Cold. No offer of refund or to make it fresh. For it to be a $1 menu item where I'm from & to to pay more than 2x's & they can take it for 60 seconds and put it on a warmer instead of making it correct.... I just asked for it back and walked away.

Wow! What a disappointment in this McDonalds! They move slower than a snail, got orders messed up and when I approached the counter there was nobody around because they were all in the back discussing what they did the night before! When I asked to get my order correct he had to ask me 3 times what I wanted. Very, very disappointing stop and we probably wont be back because we were just passing through the town. If I ever return to Wellsboro, I will not be stopping here

This has got to be the worst McDonald’s I have ever been to, without fail these imitate kids always are goofing off and they don’t pay attention 9 out of the 10 times they forget multiple things on my order. And who the gell forgets the cheese on a damn CHESEBURGER! Stop hogging lazy kids and get some people that know what they are doing!

Their food tastes like every other McDonald's so there is nothing wrong there, but they always seem to mess up my orders here in town. 😂 for example. A triple cheeseburger w/extra lettuce and extra bacon means I get a double cheeseburger with 2 half slices of bacon. I could have saved myself a few dollars and ordered a bacon double cheeseburger at that point. Not angry, I find it funny. Food is food I still ate it :) honest mistakes

Atmosphere? They removed the furniture in the middle of dinning room and replaced it with plastic square tables and folding plastic chairs. Why? It's horrible. People pay good money to eat and this is how they are treated.

We go to this Pizza Hut location sometimes when we are in Wellsboro and the food is super consistent at being great for Pizza Hut food. The service over the years has been inconsistent. There'd be times we would show up and the server was just mean and condescending, clearly hated to interact with people. It literally became a game to see what we'd end up with. This week we begrudgingly went in and crossed our fingers... We got Laurel as our server and holy cow, couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. She was fantastic, attentive, polite, and even took time to smile and joke with our two young children. Hey owners/managers, do WHATEVER YOU NEED TO DO to keep Laurel working there! Ask her for referrals to hire her friends, her relatives, you get it!

No different from the other hundreds of billions of other mass produced cogwheel resteraunts but at least the meal met expectations for the most part. The person that took my order over the phone clearly sounded like she did not like her job but I can empathize with that since nobody wants to work on Easter Sunday, especially for companies like this one that treat their employees like cogwheels. At least she wasn't rude. The problem I had was we didn't get the condiments we requested, which I admit is a huge pet peev of mine. But, overall I would recommend this place if you are in town and everything else is closed. That being said, I'm sorry you guys had to work on a holiday and hence the reason for the 20% tip even though it was a carry out order. Just a small token of my gratitude.

Party of four and no fountain drinks, no as advertised in restaurant, free refills. You pay for three bottles of soda and you're not allowed to get a 2 liter. Hoping the food is good because otherwise, its a future no. They seem to be struggling staff wise.

Decided to go here after running errands in Wellsboro with my pizza loving kid. Great, friendly service and the food came out quickly and delicious. I would highly recommend this Pizza Hut if you are in Wellsboro and have a hankering for good pizza and great customer service.

My experience at this restaurant was terrible. The guy that made my pizza was making dough without gloves on and his fingernails were dirty. When I got my sheet pizza the whole outside of the crust was so burnt that I had a shriveled up sheet. This place is disgusting and there are many other pizza places in town that pride themselves on hygiene.

Go to pizza place with a beer cave. Nice staff with quick delivery options. The Subway is in the same store. Worth a call to order!

Their burgers are already precooked before you order them. The wings had a funny taste. I ordered six and only ate two of them. They had either freezer burn or they were thawed and refrozen. But the staff was nice. Sorry, won't be back.

Got pizza and wings. Pizza was good, slightly greasy, but good. Wings were cooked good but were completely swimming in sauce. Tasted ok, bust seems like a waste of product. Would order from again. Beer cave is usually stocked well with a large variety of six packs.

Our order was completely butchered today. We got there and they missed an entire order of wings. So we had to wait. Our pizza was half pep and have cheese when we ordered all pep. We ordered honey BBQ for one of the wings and got regular bbq. We also ordered extra sauce and barely had sauce at all! The computers were down. Understandable that it's difficult but the customer service was terrible as well. In fact my review would have been better considering their situation, but while we were there the guy who waited on us was throwing attitude left and right and answering the phone, putting people on hold and never going back or answering and hanging up. This made us realize that he did that to us when we called we had to call 4 times!! Terrible experience.

If I could leave a zero star review I would. The pizza quality has been less than sub par recently. Just a few hours ago my family ordered a pizza that was not only burnt on the bottom but charred on the top. This is not a one time thing the last three times we ordered pizza it has been like this just steadily getting more burnt than the last. We don't ask for much just pizza that isn't burnt

Friendly staff, quick service. They didn’t have the veggie patties and the bread seemed stale. The bell that goes off when the door opens is deafeningly loud.

After a 20 minute ordeal on the app to get the order correct... We had a fairly largish order and the orders were incorrect. Also they did not stock the desired rolls and the the plain white bread was stale. And the 50% extra meat sure didn't look it. $60+ order that was way way below par. Avoid this shop.

Super disappointed with yesterday’s meal. We don’t have the luxury to eat. Between the cost & my husband being retired military. It doesn’t happened option. Sooo when you do decide to get something out it’s was a HUGE disappointment when you bite into your sub & it’s hard as a rock with hardly any meat in it. Couldn’t believe it. We stopped and grab a few subs to eat when we got home. Drive home was 15 mins, if that. The bread was DEFINITELY old. And to Top it off —the cookies were hard 😭

My wife and my youngest child were in late at night, just before closing. The lady that was working was very attentive, kind, and never rushed us. The food was fresh even though it was the end of the day. If you're looking for the meatball sub, I would suggest showing up earlier in the day because they go quick. One of the better experiences we've had at a fast food restaurant in quite some time.

Ordered on the app for curbside. Ordered large drink... no 40oz cups. Substituted a 20oz bottle?? Ordered salad with no ranch, for dairy free wheat free person. Salad had ranch. 2 of 3 subs were also incorrect. But we had already left. Suspect it was a new employee, not going to bash them, but be aware to check your order before leaving, if you order online.

We ordered online through the app for Pick up and it was the absolute worst experience ever. The subs were not even close to being correct. We added a special note at the the bottom which I’m assuming we’re not even looked at. The chicken that was put on my sub was bad and full of hard pieces that couldn’t be eaten. Don’t ever recommend unless your in the store watching what the workers are doing

Went to this restaurant tonight cuz our family wanted a good Chinese meal. Fiance ordered orange chicken. I ordered chicken and broccoli with pork fried rice and all we got was a bowl of chicken with fluid and no orange chicken. Then an added weird orange, sweet and sour sauce with nothing else with it LOL With a little bit of pork fried rice I get all the way home and find out we didn't get anything and still had to pay $30. Not very happy!

The only thing that is worth eating here is the beef and broccoli. There was no soap in the bathroom so I see no way that the employees are washing their hands🙃 I also don't usually patronize any business with the divider walls because of coves. While we were waiting for our food one of the owners small children was coming up to us and playing with his toys while we were trying to have a conversation. This place is out of order!

So apparently if you're not male you don't get the opportunity to sit and enjoy your food, instead you get it handed to you in a bag and told have a nice day. They definitely lost my business. I do not recommend. Not to mention the food tastes horrible. This is the first time in 4 years I have been here and I guarantee it's the last.

I rare gives negative reviews, but I want make sure people will be reading this review before eating at this place! Me and my husband we stopped at this restaurant after the whole day without any food, so we were really hungry… the lady was nice and brought us the food very quickly, but we left the table with the plates almost untouched! The food is just terrible and smells bad too! We paid for the food, but we will never return 🥹

What can one say...it is chinese food. For the area I believe it is exceptional. The food is always made fresh when ordered. Tastes the way one would expect. I believe what make this place a bit more special then others in the area is that the staff has always been kind, they have even helped Carey our order to the car...almost unheard of in today's world. 2 thumbs up :)

I've loved this place for many years. I had gone a long time without visiting as I don't make it to wellsboro all that often, but after refreshing my taste memory on a random Monday, I am happy to find an excuse to grab a bite. The beef lomein is a favorite for sure!

I really like this place since it became the Red Lantern House. The people that run it are always real kind. The food is fresh and delicious. They always serve hot tea and homemade duck sauce with chips. I've gone many times and always wonderful. Highly recommend

I think the reviews are pretty spot on. I live in Pittsburgh which has plenty of Chinese restaurants but lacks quality ones. This place would hold up with the best albeit slightly greasy. Best egg roll I've had in a long time and although I wasn't too familiar with lo mein in the past, I am a fan now. For the price it's excellent. I also appreciate that they offer "small" and "large" portions. Ramune sodas are a nice addition. The lychee one was amazing; has a nice bitterness to it.

Absolutely delicious food. Came here over the weekend with my friends and there’s a great mix of both authentic and fusion Chinese food. As someone who grew up in a Chinese household, this has been the only place that has done our cuisine justice. Highly recommend their most popular items like the dumplings, but don’t be afraid to try some of their more niche items! Affordable, tasty, and overall a great experience. Will be coming back!

The Red Lantern house, formerly the Dumpling House has the BEST Chinese food I have ever had. It is homemade with good ingredients. The duck sauce and chips are to die for. I could go on, but every dish on the menu is A++. Drive 2 hours just to eat here.

A truly lovely place run by a dedicated local family. One of my favorite treats is to eat here, generous portions, FRESH, flavorful food and really kind service. I highly recommend you order their house made duck sauce it’s a game-changer!

Delicious food was excellent staff was great and suggest getting your dessert as a appetizer especially if its the pumpkin wedgie because you do not want to be too full and miss a bite of this amazing cake. Well worth the drive from Wmspt. They also have a beautiful banquet room

Very good. I had the smoked chicken and substituted green beans for the baked beans and Cole slaw. The squash soup was creamy and tasty. The chocolate temptation was excellent. It was so good I brought home some for my mother to try.

This is one of those places that you look back and say "Truly a hidden gem 💎". We ended up going here because of the parade in town, so it was the only place we could get to. Boy we lucked out. Simple menu. I had the pulled pork and boy was it piled high. Wife had chicken nuggets with the best non greasy fries we've had in a long time. Why not 5 stars? They were out of onion rings and not enough spicy BBQ sauces. (I love spicy). Worth the stop for good eats.

Fantastic Eastern Carolina style BBQ! You gotta try it with the coleslaw & Carolina style sauce on the sandwich. If my eyes were closed, I'd have thought I was 500 miles south of Wellsboro! Onion rings & cheesecake were also great! First time here, definitely not the last

Stopped in for breakfast. The sausage gravy and biscuits was really good. We also got a side of house smoked bacon. Probably the best tasting bacon I've ever had!

The service was very good. The lemonade was good. Other than that, it was absolutely awful. I had the mac and cheese and brisket for $ 10.50. Approximately 3 oz. of dry brisket & 1 1/2 cup of bland mac and cheese.

Excellent food! Tried chicken Medias combo with corn tortillas and Horchata drink. Both are amazing!!!! We had a huge dinner and tried several other items also, chicken fajitas, chimichanga, fried ice cream etc. All are good and the price is reasonable. Armando did great service!

I love trying Mexican restaurants while traveling and this is one of the BEST Mexican restaurants that I’ve experienced. The mild salsa had a unique smoky flavor that was really good…did I mention they have a salsa bar 😋. The menu included 3 tasty soups including Pozole which was delicious! I’d also recommend the quesabirras taco!! Our group of 7 people all loved our meals. Clean atmosphere with friendly faces. I’d highly recommend this place!!

Wellsboro is so lucky to have this gem of a restaurant in town. I was pleasantly surprised to find a Mexican restaurant offering authentic flavors. It's not easily found in rural Pennsylvania. The tacos de lengua were the absolute best, but my partner and I enjoyed all of them so much! The meat was seasoned perfectly and everything was so flavorful. The salsas were super delicious. Everything was gery reasonably priced as well. We live an hour away and decided we will make this our monthly date spot. I can't wait to come back!

Atmosphere- 3 stars- Fairly New Mexican restaurant located on Main Street in Wellsboro PA. Seat yourself/counter serve style restaurant. Plenty of indoor seating with some outside. Service- 3 stars- like I said this is counter service so kinda hard to rate however they give you a number for your table and will bring food to you. I don’t believe they have much of a staff. On the day we were there I only saw three. This could definitely be an issue if they were busy. I noticed the table outside was not cleaned up when we went inside and was still like that when we left. Food- 4 stars- this was the highlight which is the most important part of every review. I got a two taco combo (one hard and one soft) (one with chicken and one with ground beef) the combos come with a side of rice and refried beans. Tacos were prepared fresh and were delicious especially the ground beef one. I requested regular fajitas style chicken but got shredded instead which was ok but my wife had gotten the fajitas style and it was really good. Rice was good but I wasn’t a big fan of the refried beans. We also got a cheese quesadilla which was really good- very cheesy!! They don’t give you complimentary chips here so if you want that you will need to order as a side. Overall I enjoyed my meal and would recommend and go back.

Order at counter and they'll bring your food out to you. They'll clean the table too so make sure to leave some tips. Lots of options from the menu. There is a salsa/sauce station for you to select your own sauce.

Very disappointed in our experience today. I eat a lot here on my own because my boyfriend works a lot. Thought it would be nice to come here for Mother’s Day because he knows I enjoy the food here. He was very excited to try the birria tacos here and unfortunately they never came. They have changed the way that you order. We came to the register where orders are usually placed, the menus on the TV are no longer on. We waited for a couple minutes before anyone acknowledged us and we were taken to a table. Now you order at the table, but the service was slow. The server was new, but he didn’t get the order right and was not the one who tried to make it right. My boyfriend was looking forward to the birria tacos all week, and it put a damper on our day. He was also upset because they ran his card right at the table and he felt obligated to tip well because the owner ran the card right at the table and was watching him. The new setup would be great if service was more attentive and the server got the order right. We had to get our own boxes and water was never refilled. Complimentary dessert for Mother’s Day was a nice gesture.

Wow! I rarely say this but this is a true five star for food! The flavor is excellent and tasted perfectly balanced with all the spices. Sauces are freshly made. The flank steak diner was a big and tender, super delicious! Six of us all looked their food and one said this tasted like the food how her grandmother used to make. So glad we stopped by when this just opened. A bit busy but worth the wait. Highly recommended to anyone in the area craving good fresh food

Been trying to get here for some time, but it was worth the wait, the food was outstanding and service was very friendly. I would recommend the ribs, they were delicious with just the right BBQ sauce.

What a pleasure working with with Greg and wife. Reception dinner catered for 35 guests. Food was outstanding many guests commented on ribs and bbq . Display was lovely with vases of yellow carnations and expansive food display. HIGHLY recommend catering with Paradise grill. We’ll be back 😀 thanks

Great little spot for some quick decent food at reasonable prices. There's a few benches outside to sit at and enjoy your meal. Parking is a bit scarce but we were the only ones there so it wasn't a problem. The owners / staff was very friendly and the service was quick.

Knock out food!!! Huge servings of food. Service is great. Outdoor seating. Brisket is phenomenal along with nachos.... Stop by!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am from Texas so comparing to BBQ from all around Southern Texas. The BBQ was okay and good fro the area. I haven't had great BBQ in the area as of yet. Staff was very friendly and prices were very reasonable.

Food was very yummy! Def a take-out kinda place but there are a few tables of you wanna scarf some food down on the run. Staff was friendly. Worth the stop. It's also just gorgeous everywhere around here.

Just paid $52 for 2lbs of wings with a 2 liter of soda. Wings have almost no sauce on them, all the sauce was spilled in the bag that they were delivered in. There was also no ranch dipping sauce included, this is an absurd amount of money for a product that is less than mediocre.

well to start off all the girls in there where giving my girlfriend and i side eyes and we felt like we where being judged like they knew us which wouldnt be possible because we live 3 and half hours away. 2nd thing is i ordered a philly cheese steak no mushrooms they gave me a hogie with lettuce tomatoes big chunks of meat mayo as the sauce. i also got a salad which was made good but i got chicken fingers they where good other then tasting dry like they been in fryer to long. you have to park at the gas station or the insurance place beside the place my main concern was my cheesesteak and the girls judging me and my girlfriend its also very small on the inside 4 tables so dont plan on eating in here there was 2 girls using 2 tables so that left us with 2 places to sit

This place has gone way down hill. Pizza used to be crispy on the bottom with tasty sauce and good ratios. Today we got a soggy floppy mess, that was honestly not even edible. Way too much cheese and sauce! My family all said it was gross and two thirds of it got thrown away. Not to mention it was $60 for that large cheese pizza and 2 cheese steaks which had no flavor. Next time we get delivery in Wellsboro, we will get Pizza Hut. Very disappointed with The Den!

Love this foxs/Terry's. The baked hoagie and wedgies are sooo good. Staff is friendly, prices are decent.

New to town, ordered online and picked up . The two young women working were super friendly and very fast to serve . Their service was great and the pizza was wonderful! I will for sure go back…

Food and staff at Fox’s in Wellsboro are phenomenal!!

We stopped here for ice cream after dinner and it was pretty good! I got a small peanut butter cone and my husband got a small birthday cake cone. I didn't care for mine too much, the flavor was lacking a bit for me, but I tried his and it was so good!! If you like more flavor definitely get the hard serve ice cream instead of the soft serve. Also the signs inside were pretty funny! I liked my visit here:)

Delicious, fresh, made to order American grub. Small establishment, probably family owned and run with a friendly and upbeat atmosphere. Prices can't be beat either!

We stopped for lunch while passing through because we we like to try local unique places when we can. The Frog Hut did not disappoint! All kinds of good food on the menu, including a huge variety of ice cream, plus the staff are super friendly. Really great small town vibe, and we'll definitely go there again any time we are in the area

I hate to say it... but a McDonald's quality fish filet sandwich for 7.95!?!? Hoppers and Poppers for 11.95?!?! These items are overpriced for what they are. May as well go to Mickey D's for the fish sandwich (for $3 [same quality]) and I'm only going to get Hoppers and Poppers once (for the novelty factor)... cause for the money/quality, it ain't worth it. Service was great though. Stay with the soft serve & basic burgers and you'll probably do fine.

This place needs to stuck to ice cream. Maybe? Went for a bite to eat and very disappointed. Fish sandwich was terrible (frozen patty)and topped with 3 little pieces of shredded lettuce and mayo for tartar sauce. Clam strips were the taste of oil. Small fries were maybe 20 shoestring fries. Server had an attitude when I asked for cocktail sauce.

What a great service! And the food is absolutely delicious. I recommend the grilled ham and cheese, the chilli, and a soft-serve ice cream. Me? Next time I’ll try the curly fries.
