Nice breakfast place in downtown state college. Parking in front of the restaurant for pick up. Food was decent, little expensive. Sandwiches were decent. Steak egg and cheese was very good imo. I like the steak/beef flavor and in this sandwich it was very pronounced Handover w breakfast potatoes inside was good as well. Unbalanced in terms of where everything was placed. Expensive Overall it was good and I’ll be coming back as it’s a really nice breakfast.

The owner is a Colombian, and he is a great guy who understands that a good business has not only a good kitchen but a good service. Our usual breakfasts are: Raisin & cinnamon 🥯 bagel with cream cheese and a lox and cream cheese bagel with veggies. The Colombian coffee on the counter is really good. They have fresh squeezed orange juice as well us the Topicana bottle juice. Your choice.

I usually place my order online and come in within 10 minutes and it’s always ready. I get the big al every time and always tastes the same. Never disappointed. I always know the quality will be the same. Staff are always friendly.

This place is huge. Better prices than Campus /Barnes and Noble. 3 floors, almost a block long. Entire floor of varsity apparel, including a section for kids, alumni, and parents. Tons of souvenirs including pennants, car decals, mugs, blankets, even foam fingers. Worth a stop and a chance to walk around downtown.

This is the best store in State College to buy Penn State merchandise, hands down! The quality of the merchandise and the great customer service really can't be beat. We were in town on October 28 for the Indiana game and my wife found a 1/4 zip sweater she really liked, but there were none available in her size. The Sales Associate (I believe it was Lisa) went above and beyond trying to locate one in the store inventory, but to no avail. She advised us to check back on line to see when there may be new stock available. My wife just ordered it and delivery was very quick - happy customer! We visit State College every year and a stop at Lions Pride is always a must.

I love Lions Pride! It is my preferred PSU store to visit when I'm in town because of their location and selection. Good selection, they often have unique items that their competitors do not have. I bought a very cute long sleeve t-shirt that had a puppy on it that reminded me of mine. Checkout process was very fast and smooth.

The salmon was too die for 👏👏👏 Madison was an amazing waitress. The bonanza red wine was delicious. Dinner outside, on the second floor was a great way to take in state college.

Excellent Experience my boyfriend and I visited here to celebrate my birthday this evening. Staff was very friendly, Adam Did a great job, very attentive took care of us promptly. Drinks were perfect, Rolls incredible, bacon wrapped scallops melted in our mouths. Both the pork shank and bolognese were incredible. will 100% spend the penny for the incredible service and food

Overall underwhelming birthday meal at The Tavern. Made a reservation for 2 about an hour ahead of time (weeknight) & noted it was a birthday celebration. Started with Surf & Turf Eggrolls, cheese overpowered the flavor of the steak & shrimp, and $20 for 2 egg rolls sliced into 4 pieces total seems a little steep. Entrees were the linguine alla vongole— pleasantly surprising amount of clams included, however the white wine garlic butter sauce left a lot to be desired. A fine dish, but certainly not wowed by the flavor profile. My date ordered the burger (not a picky eater but their offerings are not really his style) and paid $2 extra to have what appeared to be a 1/2 slice of cheese on a $22 burger (chips included as side). Server was kind but not the most attentive. Worked in the service industry in numerous settings and expected better service & more wow factor flavors for a $75 meal for two pre-tip (no alcohol— 1 app + 2 entrees). Did not ask about any birthday dessert offerings & server did not mention anything, which either they don’t do anything special or it was not communicated by the host to the server. We save nice dinners out for special occasions in our household, we could afford to go out more but choose to eat healthy & cook at home and unfortunately The Tavern will not be on the top of the list to return to any time soon. The last time I went to the Tavern was Jan earlier this year (celebrating a friend’s bday) & we were seated in a semi-private feeling alcove with a large party (10-12) that was extremely loud. Another 2 top was seated behind us and they immediately asked to be seated elsewhere. It felt like our server forgot about us tucked away in that area and again, for the claims to be one of the nicer restaurants in town, expected more of the food & the service during that visit too.

Wow, great venue, great food, great service! We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner. Attentive service, delicious food, and the libations were pleasant. Enjoyed the Lobster Cobb salad, so much of a feast within the salad it was hard to finish and Hubby had steak added to his salad, special note, they include an entire steak, not just a few stingy slices of steak like many restaurants. Both salads were so good. The venue is beautiful with indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth a visit!!

The food was excellent and our waiter was amazing! It's a little pricey but expected for the quality of the food. We had a group of 9 and shared appetizers, and each had a dinner. My daughter was excited there was steak on the kids menu, and she ate the 6 oz beauty cooked to medium rare perfection! Bon Appétit! Too full for dessert, unfortunately!

Our server Kylie was top-notch. She was very informative and answered all our questions about the menu. We ordered her suggestions and they were absolutely delicious!! We will definitely be back!!

Good appetizers, entrees were OK. The steak frites was not that great. Steak was overcooked (asked for med rare vs well done in picture) and without the sauce it would be uneditable. Dry and just generally not great. The service was disappointing. Our waiter really killed the vibe at our table. Not sure why. ASG upstairs has better food and service. Corner room is more like an Applebees

The most iconic restaurant in State College. Food is always delicious and the staff is courteous and extremely professional. If you've never been, it's a must.

Giving this place 3 stars because it is very un-accesible. The only restrooms available are by going up there flights of stairs. The booths were narrow and difficult to manage getting in and out (with dignity) if your knees don't work well. Yes, the food was good. Wait staff was quick to answer questions and food came hot. Tomato Soup was wonderful with the toasted Gouda sandwich. Husband enjoyed his Salmon Caesar Salad. BUT if you aren't an able-bodied college student, you'll need to skip this place.

Very nice, casual restaurant. We started with the pretzel bites and the chili fries. The chili fries were pretty good, but the pretzel bites were amazing. They were so rich, soft, and had a really good sauce. I got the double bacon cheeseburger and it was very juicy and flavorful. The bacon was good quality and properly cooked. It had a nice sauce on the bun too. The fries were decent. Service was good and food came out in a reasonable time considering it was somewhat busy. Definitely recommend this place.

Just a really cool place, right off PSU campus. Decent beer selection, could be better. That's my only complaint. Everyone loved their food. I had a burger. It was very good, perfectly cooked, perfectly melted cheese and the roll was good. The guy hosting was really cool and our waitress was a sweetheart.

By far the best eggs benedict I’ve ever had! Most places don’t do much with the standard English muffin, but here it was crispy and garlicky which enhanced the savoriness of the ham, egg yolk and amazing hollandaise sauce. It was a perfect and super satisfying breakfast.

I love the Gobblerito! It's Thanksgiving inside a flour tortilla served with gravy and a side of cranberry sauce. It's a 5 star choice. I give Mad Mex 4 stars because I have a shellfish allergy and they do not practice kitchen quality standards high enough to minimize cross-contamination. On a prior visit, I got really sick because they grilled my chicken on the grill after they grilled someone's shrimp. If you have a food allergy and want grilled or fried food, take precautions.

Amazing Service from Mel! So I have made the decision to become vegan about 12 days ago, but I was still able to eat and enjoy such tasty meal and wonderful service here at Mad Mex! I want to say thank you to the cooks and Mel for such an evening!

Really fresh food, big portions, prices a little above average but within reason for downtown, and the food was served surprisingly quickly. Downside is it's a little roundy and not the kind of place is bring kids or even your parents if you're a college student.

If you're going for tequila and margs, there's no place better in town. Beyond this point, the place is forgettable. Food ain't great, beer selection is ok. Not too much character to the place. But the tequila and margs... GREAT. Good place for large groups and I've never seen it really packed.

Love this place! One of my favorite bars in the area. Late night munchies are deathly though, two jumbo margaritas, gigantic portion of nachos, and quesadilla all for $20 after 10pm. Naturally my eyes are more hungry than me so had to get a box to go :) worth it!

Found this spot on the way to Ohio. The food is good and service was nice. We tried Tom Kha veg soup, Papaya salad, Green curry, Red curry and Cozy Thai Fried rice.

One trick pony! My boyfriend got the lemongrass chicken and it was awesome, it had almost a funnel-cake taste to it that make it really savory and nice. But my pineapple fried rice left a lot to be desired, as it lacked the flavor and body of good fried rice. Overall, if you're goin for the chickens or curries then it's worth. Otherwise, you're better off elsewhere.

I went on a Saturday. It was very busy. I had a half hour wait. It appeared that the hostess had skipped over my party but that was quickly resolved when I mentioned the issue to her. Our waiter was good. I believe his name is Jack. He checked on us and made us aware of the delay. Our food took a long time to come out. People that were seated after us had gotten their food, ate and left while we had just received our appetizers. The food was good. FYI - The Thai iced tea is in a bottle but they make it in the restaurant. The Pad Thai was tasty as well as the red curry. They ran out of to go containers and we had to take our food out in plastic containers which weren’t the standard container.

Pretty "cozy" place. Nice, modern decor. Very popular place among State College folks. Friendly courteous staff were always ready to assist. Made small gestures to show they truly care about their customers, bringing extra plates when they saw we are sharing, offered to-go boxes when we were struggling to finish their enormous portions, brought extra spoons, water glass for our kid without asking. They had a smile all through our meal. Barbecued Thai chicken was juicy. Pad Thai was very flavorful. Appetizer sesame crusted bread Penang was great. And the price was very reasonable compare to other oriental local restaurants like Sakura ( S. Atherton ). Will definitely visit again.

This State College staple is the place to go for Indian food! Always delicious, fantastic customer service, wide variety offered on the buffet with many vegetarian options. The Daal Makhni was a standout in texture and flavor, and Aloo Tikki are always a treat.

Went to the India Pavilion yesterday for the first time and was absolutely pleased. Everything was fresh and delicious, the staff was hospitable and so attentive. A family member that brought me there is Vegan and it’s one of her favorite places. I will definitely return!

The food was delicious but too spicy for me. Loved the dessert part. They bring you some fresh Naan. Nice hot experience!!

Best Indian restaurant in town! Has a wide variety of options for all dietary needs. Love the Indo-Chinese food. The atmosphere is amazing and the staff/owners are very hospitable. Definitely recommend the experience.

For the price, this place is definitely a good find. At just $15, you get a buffet with plenty of protein options and surprisingly good flavors—definitely a deal. The staff were very friendly, and the buffet had a nice variety. I just wish they included butter chicken, since that’s my favorite. One area that could use improvement is cleanliness. Some of the walls looked stained and not well-maintained, and the glasses on the tables were either very old or not properly washed. Also, there were no napkins provided, just a single tissue on the table, which felt inadequate.

Honestly the best Indian food I’ve ever had and I live in NYC… and 12.95 for the lunch buffet is an incredible deal, so good!

We’ve been here a handful of times and had mixed experiences. Overall, the food is pretty good. The prices are reasonable. The past couple of times we’ve been there, it has been very loud. Most recently, we sat at a booth near the bar. The people at the bar were so very loud. It was tough to have a conversation with my wife. Will come back but will try to avoid weekend dinner time.

We love Plaza so much, it’s always an amazing time! Tonight our sever was Biniza and she did a great job. She was so attentive and kind, made the experience even better. The food was amazing as always. I HIGHLY recommend the Chipotle Pasta with chicken and Tres Leches Cake!!!

Been here twice now and I love it! There are vegetarian and vegan options and are substantial portions. The service is great, the staff is nice and quick with their work. Highly recommend if you are in the State College area or are coming back to Penn State!

Came here with my girlfriends last weekend, and it was nice to be back! Brought back some good memories. The burger was just as great as I remembered! Very juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right. The staff were friendly and really knew their stuff. They made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations. The whole experience was just easy and enjoyable.

Very delicious place!! The tacos I got were very tasty, and the Alabama White sauce (as well as their other sauces) were very good as well! Definitely a good place to go to get a quick drink and enjoy some good food!

Popped into Pickles for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Our visit was during the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts so the town was busy as was every restaurant and bar. The inside area has a large bar and a big open door to a small outside deck along the street. There is no organized seating so - as the bouncer shared…..it’s every man/woman for themselves. We managed to score two seats at a tiny counter which worked for our party of two. We ordered smoked chicken wings, cornbread and a pulled pork sandwich (the punch and fluff) - all were delicious and reasonably portioned and priced. We also enjoyed a Paloma and a Gin Strawberry Lemonade - both refreshing on a nearly 100 degree hot and humid summer day. Definitely recommend for their bbq influenced menu and a beer or cocktail. (They also have a few NA beers and mocktails!)

Bill Pickles Tap Room in State College is a BBQ gem! Their Fresh Smoke pulled pork is tender and smoky, paired with house-made sauces. Smoked wings are flavorful, though not crispy as preferred—still delicious! Mac ‘n’ cheese steals the show, creamy and better than most. The vibe’s laid-back with a cool outdoor deck and killer craft beers. A must-visit for BBQ fans, but crispy wing lovers might ask for a quick fry. Great spot to chill and chow down

This place used to be one of my go to places in State College, but it’s gone down hill since COVID last year. I used to go every Wednesday because they had $5 Yuengling pitchers and it was also wing night. They always seem to be out of Yuengling now for whatever reason and the kitchen is always closed. The food is pretty solid when they have it, but you never know.

Let me first say this is my first review EVER on any service or app. I have been to here multiple times but I have never felt more disrespected or embarrassed in my life. I was waiting at the bar with my card out waiting for the bartender then I get tapped on the shoulder saying I had to leave. When I asked why, all they would say is u have to go. Everyone is looking at me like I killed someone all because I asked for the reason why I had to leave. I am the LAST person to pull the race card but this felt so targeted and unnecessary. I had one drink all night so I don’t want to hear that I was drunk. They wouldn’t even let me explain myself. I literally know some of the workers so this isn’t some random customer. I have spent hundreds here over the years and this is how my senior week goes. First and last country night for me, doubt you mangers or owner cares but that was the most ridiculous situation I’ve ever been in.

Today I decided to eat here. The service was pleasant, which I loved. This was what I ordered. The broth was hot and had a super rich and balanced flavor. The meat was super tender and delicious. I loved it because I saw it on their menu. I ordered it with lots of green onions. Too delicious. I definitely want to go back. The place is quiet and perfect.

The noodles is handmade everyday and in the best of conditions, every time I enter I just had to grab a bite. What I love favorite is the beef over rice. But also their rice noodles!! Recommend!

It’s worth it if everything were $5 cheaper. It’s a good option if you’re craving a heavier beef noodle bowl. The Chinese chili sauce is unique, and the noodles are chewy with a variety of meat options. However, I find the pricing a bit unreasonable, especially since most people can’t finish the entire bowl.

My partner and I come here regularly as she is a student at Penn State and I work in the area. This is the best-quality food we have found in State College. Noodles are made in-house. Staff is welcoming every time we go in. I always leave feeling full. Great place to eat and good value for what we're paying.

If you want some incredible Chinese noodle soups GO HERE. The Hot and Spicy Beef noodle soup with the sweet potato noodles was the best noodle soup I have had in years— perfectly stretchy noodles, tender beef, incredible layers of flavor and oil, and SPIIICY. If you like spice GET THIS SOUP. The waiter even warned me, but I knew what I was in for and it delivered. The Chinese hamburger was good— better after I added more black vinegar and spice paste. But the soup was the star of the show. A very simple and clean ambience, nothing fancy and no liquor or beer, but a mix of families and college students were all there to share a hearty dinner. Waitstaff was very attentive. I’m sad I didn’t get a chance to get this soup again during my recent visit, but will be rearing to go the next time I visit state college.

So good! The place is authentic, down to earth and to the point. From your seat you can see the huge pots cooking and hear the kitchen hard at work. The menu is wide and the options are many. I went with the black bean pork noodles and it was delicious. The noodles were wide, fresh and bouncy, the sauce was flavorful and the dish size was just right. Very affordable as well!

The food is incredible. It's homemade (even the noodles), flavorful, and authentic. The owners are so kind and humble. Truly the best Chinese restaurant in State College. I recommend the noodles with chili sauce and pork belly.

Irving's is located across from Old Main right in Downtown State College. Food is delicious - bagels are fresh and coffee is tasty. I have now been to this location 3 times and each time, the experience gets worse. I realize they are a popular joint and this past weekend it was peak move in time for the college students; however, it was completely ridiculous that we waited 57 minutes for 2 bagels, a cappuccino, and an iced coffee. The wait area is extremely uncomfortable with massive crowds hovering over the counters waiting desperately for their food. It felt like we were a bunch of sardines tightly packed in a tin can with barely any space to move. I am pretty sure it was probably against building code and a fire hazard as well, but I am not well versed in PA building code laws so I may be mistaken. Seating is first come first served so it can be challenging to find a spot to enjoy your meal/drink. I am not exaggerating when I say we waited 57 minutes. I checked the time on our receipt to when we got the food and it was 57 minutes. All 3 times I have been to this location the wait time has been outrageous, but this weekend was the worst. The previous 2 visits, the wait was around 35 minutes for bagels and coffee, which ok fine, in a busy downtown college town can be expected, but 57 minutes is completely unacceptable. I typically avoid writing negative reviews; however, Irving's actually can be a great place because the food is absolutely delicious and I want to see them improve so that I am willing to visit again. I overheard several out of towners say they will never visit again due to the wait time and that actually makes me sad because I am PRO small business. They just need a better system to handle the crowds. I have several solutions for them (as a supply chain executive and a six sigma/lean practitioner) so they are welcome to reach out if interested.

Great breakfast Sandy’s and yes, the lox and bagel is to die for overall super great at atmosphere wonderful lattes, and the staff that goes to the extra mile ensure that you have a great experience when eating their bagels and and anything you order off the menu

A New York bagel shop just across the street from Old Main, Irvings is a great place for incredible breakfast/lunch fare while catching the Penn State vibe. Home of State College’s best and IMO only authentic bagels, they are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, with a selection from plain to Everything. Irvings has lots of cream cheeses and sandwich selections (the Breakfast Special served all-day long), awesome bread and pastries too. Then there’s the drinks, from milkshakes to smoothies, great fresh coffee and plenty of bottled drinks. The main-stay staff knows their stuff; student staff members come and go, and seem to enjoy themselves while working which makes for a better experience. It’s my go-to spot for family breakfasts, coffee with colleagues or clients, or a quick bite with friends. I love Irvings!

Irving’s has always been pretty consistent with their quality when it comes to their fresh bread and bagels, smoothies and overall product. All of their breakfast items taste amazing, but I really enjoy going for lunch and getting the pizza bagel. It’s super basic, but they make it taste great.

Great experience at Irving’s Bagels! I like the atmosphere a lot. Service was friendly and prompt. There are plenty of tables to sit and study a while, and they have additional seating downstairs too, though I believe that is temporarily closed. I had a vanilla iced coffee and an everything bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese. I don’t really like their cream cheese much but it’s okay, I’ll try a pizza bagel next. Prices and vibes are good, and the location is super convenient. I’ll be back!

Great place for Beers and other drinks, with a solid menu of options. Above the target shop, it is a spacious , open format and seems to always be busy. I found the prices to be very reasonable and quality of food really good. We got the Grain Bowl with Salmon and the Lemon chive chicle. The old fashioned with bullet Rye was perfect.

Busy spot with tons of beer on tap. It was a 2 hour wait but we found a spot to eat at the bar. Had the steak which was good but not great. Overall a good meal though.

The atmosphere was really nice and the service was great!! However my food was just average and in some respects less than so. The hot chicken sandwich was dry and also very hard to chew. The fries were even worse, cold fries!! 😢. Like not even remotely warm, those were definitely sitting out for a long time or maybe even made the day before— not good at all.

I came here for lunch with co-workers. I chose the garlic chicken and spinach pizza, and it was delicious. Everyone ordered something different, and they enjoyed their meals as well. The service was great!

Stay away unless you want to be ripped off by Connie the manager. We ordered happy hour pizzas and we're charged $16.50 when there are on the menu for $6.00. New server input the order incorrectly. Connie chose to throw our very good but inexperienced server under the bus and refused to even speak to us. Never again will I be back, shame on you. Cheese Pizza is only on the Happy Hour menu BTW.

We came here on a whim as we were looking for a place that was still open and didn't have a long wait. Despite the crowd, the staff were courteous and friendly. Our table was ready in less time than originally quoted. Naturally, not all of us were ready to order our drinks right away, so our server took the order from those who were ready and came back to pick up the stragglers. Drink delivery time was ok, probably about average with other places we've been to. Food was good. Tasty and served at a proper temperature. The fish was cooked perfectly. Wait times were a bit long, but not objectionable. It was a crowded night, and we were in no rush.

Not the best Primanti bros experience. Stopped at the door due to a “barn party” but told to wait at the red line inside like normal. Seated quickly near the door. Nice views, but took the waiter awhile to come over. Drinks were made as expected (beer and orange crush). Pizza slice came out for my wife quickly but I had to wait for over 15 minutes for my chicken sandwich. Once it got to the table the fries were Luke warm at best. Chicken was cooked and somewhat hot. Other tables seemed to have the same issue of food coming out at different times for each customer. More attention was being paid to the young women coming in to get cowboy hats and leaving not ordering anything, and setting up the barn party. We ate quickly enough and left. Next time in state college I’ll find somewhere else to eat..

The food was decent but way too much bread to meat ratio. Coleslaw was good in its own way but not great. Service was outstanding. With these prices, it's a good value and worth going back.

Service was decent although the bartender was handling the bar as well as all the tables. He did an acceptable job considering. Miller Lite draft was warm & skunked. Mick Ultra draft was slightly better. Wings & entrees were what I expected. Consistency wasn’t on par with other Primantis with consideration to draft beer quality & staffing.

Embarrassed that this location has any affiliation with Pittsburgh. Service was Slow, disorganized and lazy. The only food that was decent was the onion rings and they didn’t come out until after the meal. We will not be back. What a shame. There are too many other options to come here. TV volume was over the top. Way too loud.

Awesome place to watch a Penn State game. Great service for a packed restaurant. All of our food was excellent. The Crazy Big Bavarian Pretzel with hot cheese sauce and honey mustard was awesome. The fried pickles were spears which is definitely a better way to make them. The Original Capicola & Cheese was the perfect sandwich made as it should be with the provolone, tomatoes, fresh-cut fries and coleslaw.

Didn't go for food or drink THANK GOD bcuz it was PACKED with college kids everywhere and the parking here is absolutely ridiculous 🙄 this place needs to relocate asap!! So so busy!!! And the lines were around the block to get into the place at 5:30pm... thank God I was able to get with a bouncer and get a gift card fast because if I had to wait in that line I may not have been able to accomplish anything for HOURS.. Wow!!! And watch out for grown people just walking across in front of you while you drive down the streets.. absolutely ridiculous 🙄

I attended Primanti Bros Restaurant and Bar in State College, PA, three times in the last month. Every time I attended the business, Wyatt, Ashton, and Jordan worked, and they all made me feel part of a good community. I graduated from Penn State in the 90s, and back then, the restaurant was called the Gingerbread Man [G-Man]. It was the place for fraternities and sororities. Things have not changed, and kids who frequent the bar are cool. Wyatt is excellent, too. Every time I'm there, we talk about things happening in the world. Nice guy. Ashton, the manager, treats his customers and employers equally. He has a calm and delighted demeanor that I appreciate working for a major corporation. Wish everyone had this mindset: It would help if you treated your employees how you treat your customers. It's a cause and effect. Finally, Jordan, the bartender, is great. She attended to me quickly, and while she may have lost her grandfather while working on a busy weekend night, she continued to serve her customers with a good attitude. Bless her. The P-Man has become one of my favorite places to get a hefty sandwich or burger and be on my way. Thanks for treating me well again, on a Monday night.

We had a party of ten dine in today, and the staff were very attentive in setting up our table. The tofu with vegetables, fried rice, and eggroll was my preferred choice and was very good. My PIC thoroughly enjoyed General Tso's chicken, a favorite of his, along with wonton soup. Given our large group size, the food arrived swiftly, and the generous portions allowed us to take some home. It was a very enjoyable experience.

This hidden place is a great place to go. Service was quick and friendly. Food cost is comparable and quantity was good. Also the food was tasty. This will be my place to go for Chinese food as long as service and food quality doe not change. I would definitely recommend it.

Friendly staff and great food. The fish chili hot pot was delicious as well as the spicy shrimp and dumplings in chili. All three dishes were very good. The scallion pancake, however, was just not good. It came as thin deep fried wafers with very little scallions in it.

I can't make this up... ordered chicken and potatoes with yellow curry and literally received warmed french fries as the potatoes. No, they were not fried, just warmed with the chicken. The pix is after i picked thru and ate the chicken. VERY disappointed.

We go here all the time with our 3 little girls and it’s their favorite restaurant and ours too haha. The staff is so friendly and warm. The food portions are great and I love that they have dieters options with sauce on the side for my calorie deficit weeks. Hot pots are amazing, soups are UNBEATABLE. The standard has been set too high by Little Schezuan for hot and sour.

Got take-out, food was prepared pretty quickly which was nice. The food was ok but not great. The chicken for the sesame chicken was a mix of actual chicken meat and then chunks of fat and connective tissue. The lo mein was ok but definitely not the best I’ve had since I wasn’t a fan of the overly garlicky taste. The fried rice also seemed like it may have just been white rice with a few veggie bits and lots of soy sauce. For the price, we won’t get it again but not terrible and easy pick up.

Never again will I choose Panera. While traveling for work I got a half salad and soup for takeout. They pack the salad so tightly into a small container that you can't even mix the dressing in without the lettuce going all over. And what's with the tiny container of dressing??? What do you get, like, 2 tablespoons? That's pathetic. And the baguette is just thrown in the bag uncovered. You can't even wrap it in something? I understand the need to maximize profits but you guys are just cheap and chintzy. Does it really cost THAT much to give a decent amount of dressing with a takeout order?!? Most of my salad ended up having NO dressing on it so I just threw it away. Cheap cheap CHEAP!! And you can see from the pic that the lettuce isn't even that fresh looking either. Never ever ever will I choose this chain again.

I have to say this was the worst Panera experience I have ever had. The young woman ( tall, dark hair with glasses) making sandwiches was so rude and unprofessional. After 15 minutes I went up to see if my sandwich was ready , because I noticed people that came in behind me were getting their orders first. I ordered a simple croissant with egg and bacon. She snapped at me saying she doesn’t appreciate people coming up to the counter asking about their orders and standing there. She kept saying rude comments while I and now others were waiting for our orders. She was so rude to her teammates too. No need for this behavior or attitude. Also my order had nothing with corn but I actually bit into it in my breakfast sandwich, which was just gross. Overall this Panera location customer service is awful.

Many seating options available, outlets at most of the tables, including the high tops. Tasty food and beverages. Friendly and helpful staff. Bathrooms were clean and staff quickly handled the needed maintenance/stocking when it was brought to their attention. In the realm of places to work remotely, it’s a bit noisy (obviously it gets noisy when busy but the sound seemed to carry through the whole restaurant more than normal) but otherwise a decent place to do things that don’t require audio.

(In all fairness, this was the Sunday lunch rush the day after Penn State homecoming.) The place was packed. As we entered our order in the kiosk, a staff member said it would be a 23 minute wait. (It was over 40 minutes.) We got the last open table left in the place. There was a crowd to fight through at the pickup counter. But my salad was great, when I finally did get it.

I put in a rapid pick up order, after about 1 hour it should was not ready and still said “order received”. I understand they were busy so I figured I would just call and cancel my order. Ray the general manager answered and cancelled my order. However, I did not get a cancellation email, certification or a notice that a refund will be coming. I called again just to make sure, he was very rude and kept insisting since he is the general manager he 100% cancelled the order. Still no refund to my account. Skip this Panera and just go to the one downtown.

This is one of those Paneras where the attraction is the barely-holding-it-together vibe of the foyer. The coffee is standard. The sandwich are fine. The mac and cheese is government issue. No complaints. But the ambience in the 40 square feet between the main doors and the counter is bonkers. Look for the glass that at least 300 people have touched after handling baby back ribs. Watch out for the welcome mat half-rolled up and shoved into the corner. Mingle with Penn State students and their wet coughs. Admire the fake leather bench that doubles as a collection point for Gardners Candies bags. Revel in the smells that are 45% food and 55% human. 1613-A has a special place in my heart.

I have ordered here ahead of time twice because I have a 30 minute lunch break, and both times I have not been able to eat or even receive my meal because my food is not ready within those 30 minutes. I have had to request two separate refunds from Panera bread, BUT I CANNOT USE THEM ON MY NEXT ORDER BECAUSE THE FOOD TAKES LONGER THAN 30 MINUTES. It’s absolutely ridiculous and other customers are also waiting in line way longer than they should. This is a recurring problem at this location and they desperately need a better system or more employees.

We were recommended to this place by a local and it did not miss. Food was fresh and portions large. Service was fast and friendly. Honestly, not sure what else you could ask for. There were plenty of options to choose from. I ordered the Singapore noodles and steamed veg dumplings.

Don’t let the creepy entrance or bland decor throw you off—Big Bowl Noodle is all about the food. This was my second time eating here, thanks to a Penn State alum buddy who insisted I try the congee. I’m glad I listened. The congee is absolutely top-tier: warm, creamy, with a subtle toastiness that gives it depth. I kicked mine up with a little spice, and the pork was sliced just right—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. This is the kind of congee that sticks with you. If you know, you know. I couldn’t recommend it more.

I stopped here randomly, looking to grab a small dish to satisfy my munchies. Ordered the sesame noodles which price wise should have been a small dish. Well, it was huge! Served very fast, fresh and flavorful, not to mention, the chilly oil is fire!!! Will be coming back!

Passed through the area on a roadtrip and stopped for some Chinese/Taiwanese food. Really pleasantly surprised by how good it was! We had: Pork and Century Egg Congee 5/5 This was a classic and really delicious congee. It definitely hit the spot after driving for a while. Big portion but it was so good I scarfed it down in no time. Wonton Soup 5/5 Wontons good, soup good. What more can you ask for? Chicken Fried Rice (takeout) 4/5 Chicken fillet was crispy and fried rice is just your average fried rice. Perfectly fine, but nothing stand out. Probably wouldn't get it again, not because it was bad but just because the other dishes were so good. Also got jasmine milk tea with boba which was good too. Sweetness level was just right, not too sweet. Plenty of street parking. Service was quick and efficient. Staff was super nice and very friendly even though we arrived and dined in later at night. Talked with them and learned that they've been open for 20 years! And I can see why. Portions are big, the food is great, and for the price it's amazing. Will definitely be back when we're in State College. Highly recommend.

An immediate favorite. The service is fast and the food is great. The only downfall is how far the walk can be from the South or East ends of campus, but the walk or bus ride is worth it. The only item I wouldn't recommend is the mochi. It's not bad by any means, I'd just rather get better mochi for a lower cost somewhere else. The rest of the menu is top-notch.

I ordered takeout and was very saddened. The food overall is decent but it’s lacking key elements from staple Vietnamese cooking. I got the Pho and the meat I received was not rare it was VERY cooked. The broth needed more salt and aromatics in it. Not flavorless, but needed some TLC to really make it amazing. I also did not get any cilantro or basil for toppings as well. Including my spring rolls, they lacked the basil and cilantro inside that I look forward to so much. My Thai iced tea wasn’t as sweet as it normally is as well and wished they made it on the lighter side. Positive side is that the fried egg rolls were very crisp and delicious. I am unsure if they did this to cater to the college student and predominantly white population in State College, but unfortunately I will not be returning here. For the price point versus what i received was overall meh.

We wanted to like this place more, but the food was lackluster at best. NO basil or Cilantro in your Pho or your spring rolls!?? The only Vegtable in the Vegtable pho was BROCCOLI.. lol.. we said hold the tomatoes, so apparently there are NO other Vegtables (carrots, bok choy, fresh peas, etc)!? The tofu was nasty. The meats pho was ok. They spring rolls were all lettuce and noodle. 🫤 We will not be back, and would suggest you find a better place. I don't know if it was the plastic falling off the inside of the windows or watching her serve food and clean with the same plastic gloves she had on, but this place just didn't seem clean? The waitress was very nice. We wanted to like it more, but with no herbs, and no chili oil, very little bean sprout, it just didn't bring the flavor. 🫤

We absolutely love this restaurant and recommend it to anyone looking for a celebration or just amazing dinner spot. My husband and I have been coming here for every anniversary (plus any reason to celebrate) and have never been disappointed. Overall the experience was good, just not quite great enough for 5 stars. The service was phenomenal from both our waiter and the host. Our waiter accommodated our allergies well and suggested the best menu options. The main reason I couldn't give full stars was that the pricing just doesn't line up with the food. For as much as we spent, I expected the food to be of higher quality and quantity. The fish was bland and had too much oil on it. The pork chop was cooked too much and was chewy. It would have also been nice to have more menu options. The dessert was good and not too heavy.

Environment was super welcoming and staff was very friendly. Our server Maddie gave us exceptional service. The food was unbelievable and would 10/10 go again.

IIt was my first time there and we were a party of 4 with no reservation. The staff went above and beyond and were able to accommodate us especially considering they were very busy. The food was good, portions were small, menu was very limited and thought it was overpriced.

Last night, I came here to watch live music. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded, so I could enjoy the music while ordering "The Karen" for my drink. It tasted great and refreshing. I also ordered some snacks, which were delicious as well. The service was good, and overall, this place is worth the visit.

Downstairs was all college kids of course. Service was terrible. Bartenders were cute but really bad at bartending. Cover charge was necessary because they are so slow at pouring beer that they’ll never be able to pay the rent. They needed twice as many bartenders as they had. Especially since none of them could pour beer and chew gum at the same time. We left.

Come on, it's the Phyrst - gotta go 5-stars for this State College institution. So the floor might be a little sticky, and the place reminds me of a scene from Silence of the Lambs, but besides that, you just gotta love this relic. Just grab a Guinness here if nothing else.

At my hotel they called this place Whiskey Local. Great atmosphere, fun crowd, and good bar food. Don't go here if you're on a diet.

The food was decent. I had an issue with the step in front on the waitress station that had no warning that it was there. I fell flat on my face without any alcohol consumed. I told the waitress that it should be marked with at least some yellow caution tape She said she would tell the mgr. I tried calling but the mailbox is full. Gotta admit I’m an older woman and I got pretty beat up. I watched 3 other people trip up it while I was eating

A welcome addition to the State College community! There really isn't quite anything just like it. I've been here twice since their opening, and both times have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of their chicken. They emphasize quality over speed in serving their chicken, making it a less-than-ideal place to go during peak hours if you're just looking for a place to walk in and quickly order - I recommend calling in first! - but it is worth every bit as their chicken is moist, generously sized, and perfectly well-battered. The staff has been friendly and they're really trying to build a brand for themselves. They have had some growing pains but that's to be expected with any new business! They have great American and Korean fried chicken, with great sides and friendly service. Give them a shot! They're certainly different from other places in the area.

My My Chicken is amazing! Have always had wonderful experiences any time we frequent the establishment or carried out. The atmosphere has been fun, upbeat and welcoming. The staff have been engaging and the food is truly excellent. Great chicken, cornbread, and comfort food plus even a healthier menu. #DoYouEvenMyMyBro? If not, you should!

The fried chicken is crispy and juicy and nicely seasoned. Called in and picked the order up 15 minutes later. Ready when we arrived and it was nice and hot when we arrived home. The broccoli side dish is spicy and delicious. Mac n cheese was mild fresh and tasty. Going back to try other dishes soon.

We enjoyed another stellar concert at the State Theater, this time from the Steep Canyon Rangers. The theater is comfortable and offers snacks and refreshment if desired. The smaller venue offers a more intimate experience and interaction with the programmers.

Great small venue seats roomy and comfortable. Glass of wine and 16oz IPA $15.00 thought that was a very good price. Sound system was excellent. Well be back.. Ps saw Molly Tuttle.....

Really love having this gem in our town! The music, films, and entertainers and music are all top notch! The concession stand offers local wines and beers for enjoying during the shows and there's special events in the attic!

This theater has showings of films that are classic as well as contemporary. It also has live music and other events. One of my favorites is the Blue and White Film Festival that showcases short films from Penn State's students. A great venue in a great little town.

Great place to go for a date or hangout with friends. During normal screenings, the theatre has many good viewing points available (including an upstairs section).

My first time here was amazing. I'll definately go back. I enjoyed the concert with my wife and youngest child. Concession area with alcoholic beverages, snack food, and non alcoholic drinks

When the theatre reopened however many years ago, I was more than a little cautious about getting my hopes up, as we'd not had a venue of the sort in our area for many years. It has since then become my favorite spot for ALL kinds of music, dance, cabaret (shout out to Lady Grey's Lovelies!) local fundraising efforts, our local LIVE Rocky Horror Picture Show (hooray for Love and Light Productions), and they even offer free kid's movies once a week all summer long. I have been lucky to attend the shows of some awesome 'Jam Bands', The Cast Of Beatlemania..and, even my ALL TIME favorite band, Third Eye Blind, played there on their 2009 tour. Because it's such a small venue, I had the privilege of meeting the band after the concert and was even invited back on their bus for cocktails 😄 So if an artist you really love, or even just someone you'd like to meet is playing at State Theatre, I highly recommend that after the show you run around to the back, in Calder Alley, and wait patiently to get hugs and autographs! Oh, and the best part is that there is not one single bad seat in the entire auditorium, both floor and balcony offer fantastic views. Those old guys from the Muppet Show would struggle for a complaint! I love supporting local business and local art and music; but it's the absolute bestest when those two things merge into one awesomesauce event 🎟️🎭🎶💃🕺🎞️

This place is pretty awesome. In the morning is a complete cafe with breakfast and grocery store essentials. At night it becomes very lively. Went on Homecoming weekend, there was a band playing and the setting area was packed. They have plenty of beer options but my only complaint was the beer was all pretty warm. Aside from the chilled glasses, which are a nice touch, the beer from the cooler wasn’t very cold. Overall though still had a good time here.

I like this place for its beers. This is the only place in state college which has beer taps that you can operate on your own. So the concept is that you can buy a card and top it up with some money and you can based on how much beer you take from the tap. It's definitely cheaper than other bars and they have a fairly good collection of beers. You can also buy some food or cheese and crackers from their grocery section to have it with the beer. There are some decks of cards at the tables as well.

I saw a guy there playing the little toy sized basketball arcade game. And I swear on Michael Jordan and the Chicago Pope, this man was using an immaculate full extension form… it was completely unnecessary… it was utterly glorious. Good beer

These wonderful people always give me and Lexi smiles and are so awesome. I love this store, but mostly I enjoy the workers more. (Marilyn, Tanner, and Shane -before he moved). They are very respectful to this older person, and I am grateful.

The renovation saved this place. More specifically, the pay-per-pour, self-serve beer tap system saved this place. Post renovation the cleanliness of the place has gone up, the offer better products, they sell beer and have a front beer bar. Prior to the update, it was a gross college kid store... Now I definitely use it to buy quick grocery items and grab a quick beer.

If you need alcohol or anything related to drinking, or want to drink at a bar inside a market, this will fulfill your needs. If you are looking for food or other groceries, you may need to go somewhere else.

Google said they sold Amish Apple Butter here so after driving in circles trying to find a spot to park, then pay for parking- they had no idea what it was and they definitely did NOT carry it.

Cold , pizza and the sausages were the size of meatballs . Very disappointed with there work Tdy , coming from a life long Pizza Hut fan!!!!!!!!

We have lived here for 2 years now and this is the best Pizza Hut in the chain. Our pizza is always cooked fresh and the way we ordered it and they add a lot of the extra cheese that you pay for. Also, we always order on wing Wednesday and their boneless wings are the best around. Plus, the staff is always friendly and prove that they care when making your meal. Don’t let a few negative reviews deter you away from this Pizza Hut! 5 stars all the way!!

The man working the counter was super friendly! We ordered the triple treat box. It's a great deal! We did not care for the thin and crispy crust pizza tho. It was like eating a cracker. It could have used more sauce as well.

I ordered pizza for the third time from this pizza hut the first two times were good except for how long it takes them to deliver but this time they burnt the pizza crust on both my pizzas having doubts on whether to order from them again because they take forever to deliver and they do not make sure the pizza is good.

Everything was cooked perfectly!! The bread sticks were actually almost slightly undercooked and it made them soooo much better. The pizza was perfectly cooked and the food showed up about 25 minutes after the order was placed. Just a great experience start to finish!

We had a great server! Pizza and wings were very good. Salad was quite brown; at least a quarter of it had to be trashed. I asked for an adjustment in price because of it, since they had no fresh produce. Server said he would take care of it at the register, but then he got busy with other customers. Person who seemed to be in charge took $1.25 off my bill, technically honoring my request, but surely was not happy about it. Although the buffet was closed for the evening, couldn't help but notice that the service line for it could stand a good cleaning.

I was really disappointed with my latest order from this Pizza Hut, especially since I have been craving it for some time. There are a few things that could be approved upon: 1) I ordered Italian sausage and pepperoni, but only got pepperoni. 2) Although the toppings and cheese were cooked, the pizza could have been cooked a little bit longer fully cook the crust. 3) The cheese bread tasted like it was cooked or stored in very close proximity to green peppers because I could taste them while eating the bread...in the future I would recommend to keep items away from each other to prevent allergy or dissatisfying taste. Long story short...it may be a while before going back to this Pizza Hut.

Edit: Lion and Cub has shown great customer service in contacting me and discussing this purchase and transaction. Purchased four items for Christmas gifts for in store pick up (from Nittany Outlet). It took several days for the order to be filled, and by then one item I ordered was out of stock. Of the three received, two were the same hoodies, which had been poorly printed (pic posted here). When my husband returned the two poorly printed hoodies, he got attitude from the sales associate when he said they were subpar quality despite it being very apparent that the printing was splotchy and thin in several places on each. We did end up keeping one of the four items we originally ordered.

We have purchased several Penn State clothes at the Lion & Club store. They have pretty good prices and a few name brand PSU clothing lines that include Champion and Under Armor. They also have event themed shirts that we didn’t see anywhere else that include the green “State” Paddy’s day shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies. This store is small, but, has lots to offer! The staff is also very friendly and willing to help.

I would highly recommend! I purchased several PSU serving trays. My order came in approximately 10 days. The trays are good quality and will be great presentation and easy clean up Unfortunately one was damaged during the shipping process despite all of the trays being individually wrapped. I emailed the store and had a response the next business day letting me know they were shipping a new tray. Their customer service was AMAZING and very quick to respond and resolve my issue. Again I would highly recommend them.

Received the wrong size Rose Bowl shirt but they called and explained it was due to a fulfillment center error and sent me out the correct size with 2nd day air shipping. They were very nice about the situation and provided a quick solution and that’s all you can ask for. Very appreciative of the response and action to resolve

Ordered two shirts and the shipping was $10.90. More than I’d be willing to pay normally, but one of the shirts was unique enough to make it worth it. After an extensive wait I received one of the shirts (not the one that made the shipping worth it) with a note that the other shirt was out of stock and had been cancelled. They only took $1 off of the shipping. I would never pay that much shipping on a single shirt. The right thing to do would have been to reach out and see if we still wanted 50% of the order at 91% of the shipping charge, especially after the crazy long wait.

Very helpful employees. No-hassle grocery shopping. Clean. Tidy layout. Lots of parking. I can only find my now-favorite Turkey Hill Dark Chocolate Espresso ice cream there, so congrats on that one!

ATM never is working. It doesn't matter what time of day or night you show up at that ATM it doesn't work!! You're store is losing lots of money and other stuff too.

Good to have a grocery store and a few places to eat so close to home. The frame factory is the best place for affordable and helpful framing. However this plaza needs a serious make over as it resembles the land that time forgot a la 1976.

Rite Aid and Weis stores are the main stores here. Have shopped here regularly for decades. Staff helpful and friendly. Stores are clean, if smaller than some in their respective chains. Plenty of variety of goods and groceries. Weis occasionally very busy with students, teachers, and families because of high school nearby.

Very clean store. Produce section is immaculate, produce worker is very kind, helpful friendly. A lot of cultural choices.

Love the goodwill there very large. But st. Vincent Dr Paul thrift had many items overpriced for being a thrift store. I felt like I stepped into an antique store and they had so much stuff they can't get rid of it is very difficult to get through isles. Weis market is a great place to go grocery shopping lots of items to choose from. I will be back to shop at Weis market and Goodwill.

I only went in for eggbeaters for my dad. Went to self checkout and they ran out of register tape. I wasn't in a hurry. Weis has great soup and salad bar. I used to like to get their chicken wings but the past few months they've been cold and sitting in the heat lamps too long.There time stamps just say made today.

This campus is extraordinary! Each academic program is challenging. Life on campus is amazing. The alumni association is extremely supportive. The faculty and staff are fantastic and accommodating. Game weekends are other-worldly. There's no place like Happy Valley and the pride that is shared is incomparable. "We Are... Penn State!!" isn't just a slogan, it's a lifestyle.

Some staffs are very rude, but some are very kind. So I guess it can be a hit or miss in terms of customer service. Prices are little overpriced and would be way cheaper to buy online. But if you are visiting campus, it’s a worth visit to buy some PSU merchandise.

Foreigner student here! Still trying to understand why this is called a bookstore 🤔 Mostly university gear, very small book section and very small stationery section. Despite being small, the book selection was actually kinda nice! The staff was lovely! They were very kind and had a positive attitude 💖

Doesn't have as much Penn State swag as it used to. I used to get all my PSU gear here. Now I have to go down college avenue to find some cool stuff. Still a great place to buy PSU gear.

I drove down from Williamsport to here because I attend PCT and needed to get a laptop and I got taken care of by Sue Glad! I arrived on a Friday afternoon of all times the week before school starts with a small issue from the Veterans Administration and she was such a sweetheart!!! She was amazing and made my experience there an AMAZING one! She took care of me and made my experience a painless and fast one! Also, the store is super big and clean! Great people there! All the reviews of this place are SPOT ON. Their customer service is unmatched here. My husband and I walked in wanting shoes for specific purposes and weird sizing. They offer a wide selection here and like I said, the customer service is what will now keep us as repeat customers. I am on my feet for 10-12 hours a day with my job ranging from 15k-20k steps a day and my feet were KILLING ME after my shifts each day. The gentleman that helped me really listened to me with attentiveness and tailored shoes to fit my needs. I tried on several different pairs at his recommendation and got two pairs of shoes and compression socks to help with the swelling that happens at the end of the day. He spent roughly 45 minutes helping me and it was busy but I really did feel like I was the only one there at the time. He didn’t rush me, he listened to my concerns, and he made me feel really good about my purchases. This is the only place in State College that actually have people fit you for shoes. My husband has wide feet and struggles to find any shoe that is comfortable for him, and they were able to fit him as well and carried shoes that tailored to his needs. Anyone who has specific sizes knows this is important Will be back again. 10/10 service!!!

Best shoe shopping experience I've had probably ever. Terry helped me find out what type of shoe I needed for my feet, explaining things along the way. When it came time to try shoes on he gave me options (first he went through the type of cushioning with 3 different shoes and then based on my choice he found another option in my size that had similar amount of cushion). As someone who didn't know what type of support and arch I had, this experience was eye-opening and amazing. Will definitely be going here in the future to get more shoes when I need them.

My first time getting fitted for shoes, I was a little nervous but they are very professional and knowledgeable. He knew exactly the type of support I needed in my shoes and helped me choose the right one. I highly recommend Rapid Transit and will definitely be a repeat customer!

I had the best experience at Rapid Transit. As soon as I walked in, I felt like a person and like I wasn't being a bother to anyone. Terry, the gentlemen, who waited on me took the time to get to know me and all about my running. Answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable. This is a really great place to get your next pair of shoes! Their customer service is top-notch, as they will put the shoes on you and lace it up for you (the first time I went, it surprised me). The staff are friendly and eager to help, as well as knowledgable. The staff member who helped me correctly guessed the age of my shoes based on the wear-and-tear and the model (he knew the model at a glance). Additionally, they give great discounts. I've gotten a few Hoka's from here. They will also dispose of your old shoes (they have the channels to donate lightly used shoes and to properly dispose of old shoes). They also informed me they donate any of their old stock to local homeless shelters. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

I bought my first pair of Hokas yesterday. The entire experience was 5 star. Brett was able to assist me the entire process. I have never been properly fitted for shoes and even wearing the wrong size for years! After a recent achilles tendon surgery, one of my goals is to have proper footwear in my nursing career and I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

If you want the best Penn State gear in the world, you go to The Family Clothesline in State College. The staff is polite and knowledgeable (unless you get a new hire, but we all know until trained they don't know as much as the experienced).

Ordered a sweatshirt and wrong size arrived. Have left multiple messages and have not received a call back. Talked to the actual store but was told because it was ordered online I would have to speak with the online department to assist with this. Horrible experience and I prefer to shop “local” at the hometown retailers but will gladly order from Fanatics or another website in the future. Terribly disappointed

Got a pennstate sweat shirt for Christmas and the pocket thread was coming out and they wouldn't exchange it cause I washed it once and had worn it ! I will not ever buy another thing from this business !!!!!there customer service is horrible and there special serviceteam is also horrible

I recently purchased a pair of gloves from Appalachian Outdoors and specifically asked about the return policy before buying. The staff assured me that I could return them as long as they were in good condition — not dropped in water, spilled coffee on, or otherwise damaged. After using the gloves briefly, I realized they weren’t the right fit for me and tried to return them the next day. Even though the gloves were still in excellent condition, my return was refused. While I understand that used items are often non-returnable, the information I received at the time of purchase gave me the impression that a return would be possible if the gloves were still like new. The staff were kind and helpful during my visit, but I think clearer communication about the return policy could have avoided this frustration. If there’s any way to address this situation, I’d appreciate it. Thank you.

Ordered some shoes online from this store. I found these shoes while on vacation in NYC but I didn’t want to pack them into my bag and fly them home. Once I got home I couldn’t find these specific shoes locally in Colorado. I was a bit hesitant because some times you don’t know what you’re getting yourself into with online purchases. But I decided to order any way, when checking out I made a mistake with my address and they were quick to fix it, fast to ship, and they had such wonderful customer service.

I love browsing the skiing and climbing gear here. Cool to have a proper outdoor outfitter in a town like state college. I’ve had great experiences with skis and ski tuning. And I got some Asolo Fugitive boots here in 2016 and they are the best boots I’ve ever owned. After more miles than I can count I’m finally retiring them. Always quality gear and quality service.

Great prices, very friendly service. Bought skis here a few months ago. The guy I talked to helped me pick out the right gear for someone with my skill level and made sure I got everything I needed. Plus they gave me a bundle deal so I got skis, bindings (with free installation with the bundle), boots, Poles, and a helmet, and all great quality products, for just under $1000 after taxes. That's an amazing price for what I got

Came to pick up a delivery order that was clearly ready, but was still told to wait. I guess handing over a ready order was too much to ask, as the person managing pickups seemed to think chatting was more important than actually handing it over. Unfortunately, it’s the kind of attitude I often run into at these small local pizzerias, where they seem to have the absurd notion that delivery drivers are somehow beneath them. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Appreciate your “professional” reminder, but let’s be real: the order was sitting right there, ready to be handed over. Hiding behind the excuse of “multiple orders” doesn’t change that. And honestly, the way you act as if you’re somebody important is pretty laughable. Me taking orders from your shop? You must be kidding.

Ordered take out. Service over the phone and in person was below average, which would be fine but the pizza wasn't good. Toppings piled in the center, not really cut, crust was good! Overall just a sloppy experience for a $21 14 inch pizza. Would look elsewhere. I would say worse than a DiGiornos but better than Little Caesars. My honest impression is that the ingredients are good but the execution is blah. Update: Manager called me to make things right, pizza was MUCH better the second time around! Will be back!

Its so unbelievablely BAD! they use a pizza pie to wrap the meatballs sold as meatball sub with tiny bit of cheese and pizza sauce, it is outrageous, my 12 dollar completely wasted on this junk. I cant believe this pizza shop can open business by doing such kind of crap, if you dont care eating dog food, be my guest!

Brothers Pizza catered an informal team dinner for 75 people. The pizzas were awesome and many pizza experts from NYC were very pleased. We added salad and grilled chicken to the menu, which was delicious. The customer service was bar none. Jeremy was easy to work with giving guidance on our order and super follow up. Great experience!

One of the few non-food or bar related businesses downtown that has been there for 10+ years and is still thriving. Anytime I go here there is almost always a line at the checkout. They have lots of cool stuff here. It's a great place to get unique gifts. Urban also has a cool atmosphere and I like how everything is very spread out and it does not feel too cluttered and cramped. Pro tip: if you shop here a lot, make an UO account and get the app. You can earn rewards, check out new arrivals and get style inspo.

The store carries a large collection of clothes of a bohemian and artsy style. A bit pricey and quality sometimes is not the best. Good news is the brand is often on sale and you can get good deals if you keep track of them. It would be nicer if the fitting rooms were located downstairs.

Came here today! Workers were very nice! Lots of cute clothings to choose from, and the upstairs has a lot of nice quality decor for home. I really love this store and I will be coming back again.

Items in the store are overpriced, but you pay for the name. The store itself is beautiful inside with the exposed concrete and wide staircase leading up to the second level, so it's at least worth a look for the accessories upstairs even if you're not interested in the clothing.

This Target is one of the smaller “boutique” locations that feels a little higher end than the bigger stores, but carries significantly less stuff. This one does have an expanded grocery section and it’s nice - I’m guessing they tailored it to the college campus crowd and the offerings make a lot of sense. I stop in here to buy random snacks and toothpaste when I’m in town.

no parking. two parking garages on the other side of a crosswalk intersection or metered parking up the hill. otherwise cute mini target curated for dorm life, students. better grocery selection than the big target. all the food staples you may need. delivery w shipt, but its expensive.

You can get almost anything here. Don't think Target is costly. Maybe for some items but not all of them. You can easily find some items at the same price as in wallmart. And sometimes they have some items on sale. Take them if you want them. I missed once. Was getting something for 15 dollars. The next day it was 50. And the checkout experience is hassle free. And on top of it, it is in downtown. So very close to the college.

Small target limited stocks everything is available except what you are particularly interested in. But the overall impression will be good in the end.

Pretty empty shelves and small, but my complaint is for the Starbucks inside. Someone needs to train the batista to keep his filthy fingers out of the cups. If it wasn't so disgusting, I'd think it was a funny SNL episode. He literally grabs the cup by putting his fingers inside it. I'm supposed to drink that? Gross.

Target is my favorite place to shop. They carry a wide variety of high quality products and provide the best prices, as well as special offers. The staff always provided me with exceptional service.

Friendly staff, yummy treats, and cute vibes! Delicious vanilla lavender latte with oat milk. Coffee was great! Chocolate chip and sea salt cookie was insane! Definitely want to go back to try their giant slice of quiche and massive piece of cheesecake. Mmmm! Plus adorable decor inside!

A cozy place to have breakfast right outside the campus. We ordered baguettes and some coffee and we highly recommend it.

I’ve been going to this place somewhat regularly for a while. The bagels are amazing and come with your choice of a variety of delicious cream cheeses. Regular and bacon cheddar chive are my favorites. The cheesecakes are also really good and there’s new varieties everyday. The coffee and espresso drinks are also really good. There isn’t a huge menu of things but what they make they make really well. Definitely one of the best spots in town!

The bakery items look absolutely delicious, though I only stopped for coffee. The coffee drinks are great quality and on par with every other coffee shop price wise. The people are kind too, just know you'll probably have to wait a little while before you get your food/drink(s). Overall good experience

If I could give more stars I would! I ordered a Vanilla Lavender Latte w/ Oat-milk after seeing great reviews and I must say that it was AMAZING!! I also ordered a bagel which came with the cream cheese ON THE BAGEL. That's rare. Only side note is that there was a little too much cream cheese on my bagel, but that's not really a big deal. The more the merrier! :) I highly recommend the cafe and hope that it's able to have a flourishing business in State College and stay for the long term.

I love this place. I've never been disappointed by their coffee and their quiche is DELICIOUS. I haven't their other food items yet, but they look really tasty. Staff has always been very friendly and accommodating. The only downside is that it's a wee bit cramped in there, but I understand that's beyond their control. Highly recommended!

Super helpful staff. It was a bit warm in there but I think their HVAC system is being fixed. Went during a storm and the power cut. The employees handled it extremely well and were very professional in holding items for everyone in the store so they could move on with their day.

I like that they recycle clothes and use paper bags. The clothes are usually well made but there isn't a lot of variety. Things are usually stay the same but in different patterns. Staff are usually very nice unless you call.

Amazing prices (you can get a shirt for $3). Their sizes run small, which is good for me. This is one of the only places I've found clothes that fit me.

Recently got my dress altered here and the alteration itself was fine, but the woman who alters the clothing here made multiple uncomfortable comments about my body as I was trying my dress on. It was a tight dress and I only needed the shoulder straps adjusted, but she refused to zip up the dress claiming if she tried to zip it further that the zipper would break. She then told me I should come back the next week and try it on after losing 5lbs. I told her the zipper was fine because I had just tried it on the day before and it fit perfectly fine and only needed the shoulder straps lengthened, but she insisted that I was “swelled up”. It’s a little concerning that she felt comfortable saying those things to a customer without a second thought.

Came here recently to make a return. I had not worn it other than trying it on in the store before purchasing. The lady told me I could not return it because of the tiniest spot on it. You would have had to really try to find this spot to actually see it that’s how small it was and the top was white. If anything it was there before I got. The top was in perfect condition tag still on and return within the time they allowed. She gave me a very difficult time and would not even give me store credit. I don’t like to believe these things are true especially in this day in age but the white girl before had not trouble making a return, our returns in the same condition, but me a black female in a clearly all white shop had a hard time. It honestly seems like she was trying to save herself the trouble of making a refund so instead made me look stupid. I just don’t think I’ll be coming back to connections any time soon because I never experienced such disrespect and felt so disregarded. I’m not so mad that I didn’t get money back or even store credit at the least but because of how I was treated and the racial undertones. Honestly disappointing. Do better Reply: Return or not I do not think you guys treated the situation with the level of customer service you could have. Like I said I am more so upset up the way you guys treated me. Very dismissive and not giving me and respect in the tone or manner you went about. Hopefully you guys will learn from this for the future:(

Very nice store, clean AND organized. But if you are not a small and have small breast this store isn't for you. I found 2 large items, and I did by the one. The other larger clothes like these over sozed jackets would not look good on you. Quality is nice, they have free people and other brands, and prices are reasonable. But even my friend who was a small/medium couldn't fit in these shirts. But I'd bring my sister who is a 00 here. Staff was friendly too,

The absolute best place to get a formal tux!!! Theresa the owner is amazing, extremely professional and goes over the top. I will never get a suit elsewhere again. She saved our wedding day after we had a HORRIBLE suit from somewhere else, Theresa was able to get us exactly what we envisioned.

My husband, the groomsmen, and the fathers of the bride/groom, all rented their tuxes from Connections for our wedding and we are so glad they did. Theresa went above and beyond to make sure each tux fit perfectly, even if that meant overnighting tuxes to the venue. This high level of customer service is hard to come by. Theresa is extremely professional and on the ball. She made this whole process very smooth and seamless. We wouldn’t recommend anywhere else! You can’t go wrong with Connections!

Theresa and her team could not have been more helpful and accommodating for me and my groomsmen. We had a mixture of purchases and rentals and did not have an issue with a single item. Anything that was not a perfect fit was either altered or a new item was ordered for pick up the next day. I could not be happier with how we all looked and with how easy it was to deal with Theresa and the Connections team. They put in the extra care and attention to detail that we would have never received from a chain rental store. I could not recommend Connections more! 5 star rating in every way.

The workers are much less kind than the store in Altoona. I was scolded for being in a dressing room at 40 min before closing when the light was on, but no current attendant. There was no closed sign. She turned the light off on me while I was trying to get dressed and yelled through the wall. Maybe the poor lady was having a bad day. I spoke nicely in return, but we left the store without purchasing anything, and we may not return. I feel poorly giving only 2 stars, because I love TJMaxx stores. But they also really raised prices…. So bad review it is. On a nicer note, thank you for allowing dogs.

This Hills plaza has been around since I've been a kid. And Hills doesn't even exist anymore. But what does exist in this marketplace is Weis markets.. I came here to get a prescription for my fiance, I don't come here much but it is clean, friendly and very far away from where I live LOL. It's a hike from Altoona.

Carl is so wonderful in the hills plaza section with a McDonald's store as their manager! I'm just saying if you need your Mickey d fix go see Carol at this local McDonald's in the hills plaza section of State college. She's wonderful

black mold on the wall at the GM entrance beside the ice cooler that has a wall panel taped over it with clear tape. black mold on the wall in the back right corner of the pharmacy (covered by a table leaning against the wall.) fire exits in the grocery backroom and GM receiving area are almost always blocked. garden center fire exits are blocked too often as well. they should never be blocked. backroom aisle clearance for main aisle of egress is not properly maintained. OGP associates are always blocking the fire exit in the grocery backroom written their ogp carts. this walmart should be fined to hell and back for constantly endangering the safety of everyone inside of this store.

Came here to do shopping when I got to the register I had an item ring up higher that what it was mark on the shelf. I asked the girl running the self check area and she scanned the items and said thats the price. It rang up for $31.00 and it was on the shelf for $10.97 as a rollback. I took a picture of it just in case since it was on sale. I have had issues in the past with sale prices. I showed her the picture of them on the shelf and there was about 10 different kinds all marked at the same price. She said I can't honor that it's not the correct price tag. I said Ok well its stocked wrong and thats not my fault Walmart should honor their mistake like other stores. She said I can not honor that she was told by the Manager they can't honor pricing mistakes because they are loosing too much money. This is unacceptable and terriable customer service. Make sure you check the pricing of the items you buy to make sure they are not ripping you off.

Disorganized, food that is freezer or fridge section is rotten alot of the time, which is sad because someone will end up sick from that. Opened products or spoiled products on shelves. Over all the atmosphere at this walmart is neglect and no one cares at all.

Had an appointment scheduled for a basic oil change. It took 20 minutes for the clerk to merely check me in for the service. All my info was already in the computer so it should not have been an issue. Note that I was there 15 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. It was an hour after my appointment time when they messaged me that my service was just starting. An hour and a half later I'm informed my van is ready but there's a line of 6 customers, one clerk and lengthy customer service type issues that seem to be taking an excessive amount of time to handle.

Dropped off daughter's car to get an oil change, went back wen done an hr later. Got in car and it wouldn't turn or anything! Opened the hood and wow just wow.. Oil cap left off an they tried to pull it out of the bay and oil everywhere.. they got it into a spot n left it for her to pick up!! Wen she asked at first they tried saying it was like that. Funny thing we, her parents were there too an seen all signs of oil wipage. We had to get it towed to a garage because the oil they shot everywhere caused the cerpintien belt to come off!! Then said they couldn't fix it there!! A flipping mess!! Still in process of getting car fixed! DO NOT GO!!!

Hani helped us get some things out of the case and went the extra miles for us. He had trouble opening one case and reached around from another, did that big arm stretch. Very helpful, hope I spelled your name right!

Walmart(s) in York are always dirty and clutter all over the floors. I avoid Walmart at all cost. Only my 2nd visit of the year to Walmart, and it will be the last of the year. Halloween department was total wreck. Went back today, a year later, and the store looked better. 👌 Easter candy is available

This is a nice location (State College, PA.) and convenient for the locals and Penn State students. My kid just graduated and needed shorts for a trip to Cali and we found some good deals. Congratulations Eve!

Myself and wife love going to this store because u don’t feel like a criminal in there. We live in Williamsport and going to there store is horrible due to the high crime rate. The stores security follows people around. It’s completely understood but who wants that when shopping. Thank you state college for the honesty and it pays off while shopping at your store in peace. ( we love your baby cloths )

I had a very disappointing experience at this Ross store. One of the managers, a tall guy with a beard, was extremely rude and disrespectful. I simply asked him a question, and his response was so dismissive and unprofessional that I felt uncomfortable even approaching him. Customer service should be about helping and supporting shoppers, but this experience left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I hope the management takes steps to address this kind of behavior. I would love to see the person who hired such an unprofessional rude person ever.

The lady with the short blonde hair at the cash register had a very nasty attitude. I get it we all have bad days but this isn’t the first time. As I walk up to the register she didn’t speak, which is ok whatever. But after she ringed my item up she didn’t even bag it and hand it to me, I had to ask for a bag. No matter how many items it is at least ask me if want a bag or not. Just a bit of hospitality won’t hurt!!!

Nice employees, not as much as Home Goods in the way of furniture or art, but it is a smaller store. I found nice pieces of wall art, I did not purchase anything though, just browsing. I would suggest checking it out if you are looking for a quick unique shopping trip.

Walked up to service desk to do a return. The young lady threw down what she was reading and said you will need to go to the end of the line to do this. I turned around and looked behind myself and there was no line. I said "there is no line?" She then grabbed my return out of my hand and was extremely rude and irritated. Wow - I felt terrible. I won't be shopping here anymore.

Wasn't well stocked whatsoever, all they had was skinny jeans in the men's section. Not much shoe selection either. Store was clean though

Love this store! Always surprises on the shelves. You always find European treasures on aisles like Kuchenmeister cakes, German chocolates etc. Furniture, kitchen sections helped us a lot for finding great prices on brand items. Our dining table is from here, got a great size that fits our place with great chairs. Excellent employees as well. Miss Bill who worked there long time and retired.

They are going out of business. I think the prices are too high and the discounts only bring the price down enough to be reasonable.

Nice clean not alot of home product like other however still have some. Always friendly staff when I go. Want impressed with their Christmas tree selection this year

I bought a house was having a tough time finding a nice quality comfortable smaller sized sectional and a mattress. Someone recommended Big Lots and I’m so happy I went to check it out! A lot of sectionals at other furniture stores were massive and the smaller ones on Wayfair or Amazon were cheaply made and had many bad reviews. I wanted something that would last for years to come. Big lots had the perfect well made comfortable small sectional for only $800! I also found a very comfortable hybrid mattress for just $500. The variety isn’t the best, but if you’re like me and just want a simple mattress and aren’t into the $4,000 fancy gel foam sleep member type mattresses, this is the place for you! They had many other household items and even a nice variety of cleaning supplies and basic grocery items. This would be a great starting place to shop if you are moving to State College or are here for college and need to get your dorm or apartment ready. The sales associates were also wonderful and super helpful!

Love this store and pretty much everything in it. Sometimes it is extremely overpriced, for instance, a simple metal small shelf will be 70 or 80 dollars and is actually super flimsy or falling apart. 🤔 but you can find good deals in this store and I've purchased furniture there before, even. I had a sectional, it lasted about 2 years before I needed a new one. But for 800 bucks that was what I expected, so it served its purpose for my family. Overall, I gave it 4 stars because I love this store and will always go at least windowshop! Not their fault I'm poor 🤣🤣🤣🤣

This store is awesome, you can get things that you might not find elsewhere. Great prices and the gentleman that helped me tonight, was really pleasant and friendly. He even put the heavy items in my cart. That was a tremendous help, because I could not do it, ( due to health issues ). Again I really appreciate the help and the courtesy that the employees had shown!!

This is a great place for unique and handcrafted gifts and decor. Prices are good for a place carrying handmade items from numerous countries. Staff is laid back but helpful if u have questions. The store is clean and neat and there's lots of interest here.

Interesting trinkets, jewelry, and spices from all over the world. Staff is always super friendly. I love stopping by occasionally and seeing what they have.

Too many to list them all. Plus, the staff is so friendly and kind. Definitely worth a trip to check this place out!

Quirky store on Old Gettysburg Pike stocking mainly crafts from overseas artisans for which they pay fair trade, but they also support charitable causes within the U.S. Friendly staff who briefed us on the background of the store. Picked up some items for upcoming birthdays and also some stuff for our home. Well worth a visit if you like the unusual. Recommended!
