Sea Star Gelato is a must-visit spot in Seaside for its handmade and incredibly creamy gelato. The flavors range from blackberry milk chocolate to cotton candy and local marionberry with lemon. You can also try unique options like Blue Moon, which tastes like cereal milk, or seasonal favorites such as peach crisp. The shop offers an ever-evolving selection of specialty gelato flavors and dairy-free sorbets, all made from scratch.
This is a must stop if you want a sweet treat in Seaside. They got quite a few options with fast service. My mom got the Espresso Coffee flavor and I got the New York Cheesecake and let me tell you they were both so delicious! Definitely recommend!

This place has amazing flavors. It’s worth the wait. I highly recommend the chocolate cherry and the raspberry flavors. So good! But really you can’t go wrong with any of the delicious flavors they have
Ana G — Google review
Went in for coffee ended up grabbing a few scoops of ice cream. Husband loves rum raisin so we got this flavor it was so creamy had the perfect taste of rum 😋 I got the pineapple which was yummy .. and avocado. It's a creamy not super strong flavor for the ones who prefer less sweetness. Wish I would have tried the pomegranate and grapefruit those looked delicious
Vikki ( — Google review
My boyfriend and I decided to get some ice cream while waiting out the rain. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I’m not used to having the option of a cone (I’m celiac). But they had a gluten free cone! And each flavor has its own scooper so cross contamination is minimal. Yummy ice cream and so many different options to choose from. Overall great experience here.
Y. — Google review
The best gelato in the US, if not the world! I’ve tried gelato all over Europe and anywhere I find it stateside. And when I say “try”, if there’s gelato around, I’m eating it at least a few times a day. Of the hundreds of scoops I’ve had, none were as good as any scoop I’ve had from Sea Star. Their American flair on classic flavors and their own unique creations always hit! The owners are the nicest people that are passionate about what they do, and turn that passion into the best gelato possible. I try to make it to Seaside at least once a year, and when I do, I’ll stop into Sea Star at least 2-3 times. This place is that good!
Sean M — Google review
All of the reviews are spot on—this little gelato shop is a gem! The staff is so kind and welcoming, the prices are great, and the gelato flavors are absolutely fantastic. I also love that they’re open fairly late. We had such a good experience and will definitely be making this a regular stop whenever we’re in Seaside. Highly recommend!
Kristin H — Google review
We just went to this amazing little place and we will be going back! We tasted several flavors and ordered: P.O.G. and Ricotta in waffle cup and Blackberry Milk Chocolate and French Kiss Chocolate (I think that’s the correct name) in a cup. It’s a really cute sea themed gelato shop and we got to enjoy their Halloween decorations, which were super fun! The gelato offerings are numerous and super creative, from coffee drinks with gelato to different specialties like the gelacos (taco shell shaped waffle cones filled with two flavors of gelato and all kinds of toppings! The P.O.G. was light, fruity and very much like the juice of its namesake (Passionfruit Orange and Guava). The ricotta is like eating cheesecake without the crust, the combination was delicious! The Blackberry Milk Chocolate was also very tasty, as was the French Kiss Chocolate which had ribbons of chocolate sauce, dark chocolate chips and vanilla gelato. And yes, there are dairy free options! All with great service, the person who helped us was well versed in the ingredients of each flavor. Gelato to die for!

Zingers Homemade Ice Cream in Seaside, Oregon is a popular spot known for its retro vibe and delicious homemade ice cream. The shop offers a variety of flavors made with just a few natural ingredients, ensuring each scoop is a tasty treat. Customers rave about the friendly staff and recommend trying the banana pudding and cookies and cream flavors.
Most drop on of in seaside! The flavors are amazing and scoops are large 😋 you get what you pay for it's quality icecream! The peanut butter cookie was phenomenal!
Morgan J — Google review
Serve is quick, and the ice cream is really tasty! (If you like licorice ice cream, theirs was definitely one of the best I’ve had! And it wasn’t dyed black. Hahaha) We got a triple scoop bowl with a cone on the side- Marion berry, s’mores, and licorice. So yummy!
Maxine L — Google review
Zingers was fantastic. Best cookies and crème ice cream I’ve ever had. The cone was INCREDIBLE. The service was fast and the prices I felt were reasonable for handmade cones and ice cream . 5.50 for one scoop.
Shani S — Google review
Amazing ice cream selection and delicious ice cream--reasonable price for the quality. Lost a star just for customer service. She certainly did not put love into my ice cream with her scoop or add to my experience. Staff should be proud to work at an ice cream shop that is such high quality. I got the licorice and root beer ice creams--amazing combo. You can not get a single scoop split into two flavors. It is worth trying two. The clerk gave me a hard time about trying more than one or two flavors. I would pay first if necessary --i just want to be sure that I am selecting one I want a whole bowl of. Anyways, way better than the other shops that serve dryers and have a huge line. There was a bit of a wait--I felt like I was at salt & straw but there were multiple clerks so the line went quickly.
Ash G — Google review
Banana pudding ice cream was incredible and I wish I could buy it at home! Will definitely stop by if I'm in seaside again!
Amanda — Google review
For 2 summers we’ve been to seaside for the soccer in the sand tournament and my son gets a cone after every game! No joke, it’s amazing! The chocolate they use for their chocolate ice cream, I don’t know where they get it, but it hits different. If you’re in town, you must visit!
Kimi M — Google review
Ice cream was amazing but no samples. Had to pick a flavor blindly Update: we went there again and they provided samples. Definitely a place to stop by. Licorice flavor was the best for me.
Balkaran G — Google review
Delicious. Stopped in twice during our stay in Seaside. Happy there was a dairy free option for my husband as well. He usually gets stuck with sorbet so he was very happy with the chocolate flavor!

Step into Seaside Candyman and be transported into every child's Candyland dream. This shop boasts over 170 flavors of saltwater taffy, from traditional to non-traditional options. The whimsical interior and welcoming staff create a delightful shopping experience. Visitors can spin a wheel for a chance to win a bag of taffy, adding an element of fun to the visit.
BEST ice cream spot in Seaside! Just $2 per scoop and they had 48 flavors of ice cream, (at the time of our visit) including some rare and unique options you don’t usually find anywhere else. The vibe is fun & family friendly, and you can spin a wheel for a chance to win a bag of candy or popcorn, and even if you don’t win, they still give you a coupon for 50 cents off ice cream or $1 off $10 purchase. Highly recommend stopping here if you’re in the area, especially if you have kids!
Malia R — Google review
Many to choose from. I got so much to share w my coworkers. Many pickle and Dr. Pepper flavored! The taffy is indeed very hard... I thought that was normal.
Theresa C — Google review
Seaside Candyman is definitely better in the Summer season. Taffy type of candy must have a short shelf life as our 2-1/2 pounds was hard. I am plowing through to get my moneys worth. The flavor selection is huge, as well as the jelly bean selection. Cool store, just better shopped in the summer season!
R K — Google review
4 yrs in a row and lady luck has not let us win the spin. I do like this candy shop. I wish I could explore upstairs 🤣. It does get crowded but the employees greet ppl and move us along nicely. I have not tried many of their chocolates. They're good though. They're not to crazy in price. My kids love the ice cream and that they let my kids have the taster spoons for their ice cream. The "extra scoop" because your special is sweet.
Rebekah M — Google review
Lovely place that reminds me of my childhood whenever I go in there. Classic salt water taffy in so many flavors! Plus other kinds of candy, and couple others of cotton candy spun there, and many delicious flavors of ice cream available.
Bunny “ — Google review
Every time we go to Seaside, this is the only place I get Salt Water Taffy. The selection is huge and the staff knows the products. I sample one day, then go bag to fill up a bag to bring home.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE, WILL GET SCAMMED. Placed a large order online, emailed after a couple weeks w no response. Tried to get my $ back but still no response.

They have more than just taffy, we got suckers and chocolate! Their taffy is very good except for Oreo which doesn’t taste like Oreos which is tragic. Anyway cool place!

WE’RE ALL EARS is a long-standing fast food-style counter in Seaside, offering a nostalgic fried-dough experience with their specialty elephant ears. With over 40 years in business, this beloved spot provides a variety of flavors and even serves espresso drinks. Despite some negative reviews from individuals who didn't dine there, the owner shared the challenges of finding staff and personally ensures quality service. Visitors praise the classic cinnamon and sugar elephant ear as well as the friendly and hardworking staff.
An absolutely perfect classic cinnamon and sugar elephant ear!! Wonderful service- super friendly- fast and efficient. They also have a s’more type of elephant ear which was doubley delicious. They have unique Italian sodas that were made with real fruit puree- the mango and strawberry was the best. We were just visiting and it was great to be welcome as if we were regulars. We actually had the opportunity to meet the new owner who recently took over- we really enjoyed his warmth, and we wish him the best of luck, hope to enjoy some of your elephant ears next summer.
Klairey I — Google review
Just had some elephant ears at the air show and it reminded me how good the elephant ears were at this place many years ago, thick and yummy for half the price you're charging and air show food is expensive. Now your elephant ears are thin, crispy and greasy with to much sugar and sweet jam on it at twice the price. Sadly the quality of your elephant ears are not worth my money. I would love for you to go back to the quality of elephant ears this place had many years ago. The elephant ears at the airshow were so good, we had to go and buy more, but not these thin, crispy, greasy ears. Sad.
John S — Google review
My kids and I split a large elephant ear 3 ways and it was perfect! We ordered half with lemon and powdered sugar and half with cinnamon and sugar since, of course, the kids didn't agree. It was perfect for me as I got to enjoy both and it tasted delightful both ways. It did not sit as heavy or greasy as I expected. I would definitely choose this over the funnel cakes I see more often.
Jennifer H — Google review
This place is incredible! Great location to just pop in for an elephant ear! We had the cinnamon sugar with maple on it. One of the best combinations ever! The butter and cinnamon sugar make a paste, then the maple joins in and creates a delicious gooey topping that compliments the crispy yet soft elephant ear perfectly!
Valerie O — Google review
The staff are so sweet and the ears are delicious! They are open 7 days a week until the school season starts. So about mid September. Then the hours change to mainly open on weekends. So please be advised!!! Noon to about 6 all summer every day. Then switch to just weekends in mid September!!!
J R — Google review
My sisters and I brought our friends visiting from out of state to seaside. We stopped in for some elephant ears and got so much more. Everything about this place was charming and delightful. The food, the building and the staff were beyond exceptional. You can tell the owner cares so much about his food and staff. Also he was hilarious and we kept talking about the experience the whole day. I can’t wait to go back with my son, it will blow his mind. 10 out of 10 highly recommend
Amanda W — Google review
5/31/25 We had dinner across the street. We walked over at 6:30 and asked how late they would be open for business, the young gal said 8 o'clock, perfect, we can walk off dinner and get an elephant ear a little later. We returned at 7:24 and were told they were no longer taking orders, They had to clean up before close. As a business owner myself, customer service is key, and business at the coast is very seasonal, I would very much want to know if my employees were turning away hundreds of dollars of business. At 7:57, we walked by again. Closed up and no one in sight.
Dan H — Google review
David helped us today and he was SO kind and SO helpful. It made the experience of getting an elephant ear so much fun. You don’t get this type of customer service as much anymore, it’s a rare and genuine experience that makes your day so much brighter. Thank you David for making ours so much better by your kindness and help and joyful personality!

Wine bar
Dough Dough Bakery, located near Seaside Coffee House, offers its own special Cannon Beach Sleepy Monk coffee blend called Cool Kids. The bottomless drip and chicory pour-over are both exceptional. You can enjoy these with freshly baked treats like chocolate tahini rolls or jam-filled olees while sitting by the large windows. During the day, it operates as a bakery and transforms into a wine bar in the evening. The kitchen is bustling as early as 4 a.m.
I tried the blueberry scone and the lemon olee. So delicious!! The olee was unlike anything I have ever tried. So soft and the perfect sweetness level. The blueberry scone was very moist and packed full of blueberries!! 5 stars based on the food I tried, not going to deduct stars for service because I understand staffing issues are hard on small businesses. Service wasn’t the best, just a few things! There was a few of us waiting to be helped for several mins while the guy went to the bathroom (we found out where he was when he finally showed up) Totally fine just wish there was a sign at the register letting us know so that we weren’t confused and wondering what was going on. Also the shop was eerily quiet!!! Some nice music would really help the ambiance a bit:) Thanks again for yummy treats.
C W — Google review
We stopped in at Dough Dough Bakery this morning and boy am I glad we did. I’ve been surfing nearby for years and can’t believe I haven’t checked this place out already. Located a few streets back from the 101, the bakery is in a great little pocket that’s tucked away from the traffic but still has good parking options and a nice selection of nearby storefronts to check out while you’re there. Dough Doughs is a large space with ample seating, high ceilings, and connects to the bookstore next door (great to keep you busy while you wait). The guy behind the counter was super welcoming and incredibly accommodating, offering order substitutes (I went for cheddar over Brie in my breakfast biscuit) and offered me a taste of the local kombucha they had just put on tap. The biscuit was phenomenal- flakey, steaming warm, great size, and very tasty. We also got a coffee, peach kombucha, and Marion berry scone- all were fantastic. There are lots of books and knickknacks to keep you entertained while you enjoy your time in the bakery, and the eclectic range of seating options ensures that there’s something for everyone’s comfort preferences. To the side of one of the bakery cases there’s also a small pantry goods section with wares including canned goods, coffee from New Orlean’s famous “Cafe du Monde”, and more. I’d highly recommend this to anyone passing through Seaside and am excited to return soon!

Skip the Pig n Pancake and come here instead. I read online someone said this was the best breakfast sandwich they'd ever had and wanted to see for myself. Well, it totally lived up to my expectations. Fresh scratch made biscuit, delicious sauce, crispy flavorful bacon, perfectly cooked egg and yummy melted cheddar. Soooo amazing. I wish I could have another one, it was the perfect breakfast sandwich but I'm all the way in WA. If I ever go to Seaside again I'll be stopping here. I do wish I could have tried the cheddar biscuit but they were out, regardless the regular biscuit was fabulous.
Sarah L — Google review
Stumbled upon this awesome bakery while browsing the bookshop next door and am so happy I did! Absolutely awesome baked goods, really good daily soup, and a nice cup of coffee. Super awesome staff and a nice place to relax.
Erica H — Google review
All I can say is wow! My boyfriend and I stayed in a hotel not too far away from the bakery. We ordered the lemon olee, peach scone, and banana bread (gf). The texture and flavor from the olee and scone were rich and delicious and one of the best bakery I’ve had in a while. At first I had low expectation of the lemon olee (considering visiting close to closing time) thinking the outer layer would be stale. Wow, it was an interesting bite to say the least. The olee had a bread, soft, and crumbly texture and each bite to the center had a light creamy taste. In my opinion the lemon flavor was not entirely there but the flavor and texture was tasty otherwise. I recommend visiting! The gentlemen who helped behind the counter was friendly and quick to help take order. Cozy atmosphere and the bakery is connected to a book store and sells wine and other goods. I’ll definitely return again when we’re back in town.
Pratiwi N — Google review
Best biscuit I've ever had. Stopped in for coffee and a Breakfast Sami, left with a smile and a shirt. Sami was delicious, staff were awesome, and atmosphere was laid-back. Only wish they were open more. Will definitely be back the next time I visit Seaside.
Jason T — Google review
Went in for a morning bite. Sample their scones and had a chicory coffee. The scones crusts just the right amount of crunch and were sweet but not overly so with great flavor throughout. The chocolates by the cash register were awesome. The sign says "try them all" and I would recommend it. Staff was cordial and bright on a wonderfully sunny Seaside morning.

If I could I would just have a nice bottle of wine and spend my whole day in this cosy place. The muffins were not as good but loved their dark coffee with chicory.

Tuckered Bear Ice Cream is a charming little ice cream shop nestled just off the main strip in Seaside, known for its delightful offerings and inviting atmosphere. The standout feature here is their homemade waffle cones, which are freshly made on-site and emit an irresistible aroma that draws you in from blocks away.
We got in a decent sized line about 10 minutes before closing. Not only did they stay open to accommodate everyone, but gave amazing service. They were hand making the waffle cones as we got into the store, they smelled delicious. They have a fantastic selection including Dreyers and Umqua ice cream, Dole Whipped soft serve and shaved ice with condensed milk. I definitely think this is the best shop in town for all that they offer
Amanda D — Google review
So freaking yummy. Dole whip and vanilla custard swirl. Me and my husband both loved it. Kids each got a scoop of ice cream and neither were disappointed. They only take cash but have and ATM inside. Fast friendly customer service.
Jessica R — Google review
Man do they smell good from the street! Ice cream had ice chunks like it maybe thawed and refrozen a bit or was a little freezer burnt. The waffle cone was yummy but their prices are steep compared to other icecream shops in the area.
Sheribell — Google review
The ice cream is delicious and isn’t too sweet. Definitely a spot to get good ice cream.

Fun little icecream shop off the main strip in seaside. Decently priced and good selection of flavors. The homemade waffle cones are what got our attention! You can smell then from a block away! So good. Perfectly fresh and lightly crunchy. Wish they accepted credit as a form of payment. It's cash only.

This is a must try ice cream shop with so many flavors to choose from. The only downside is that they only accept cash but there is an ATM inside.

Dairy Queen, a renowned fast-food establishment, offers a delectable selection of soft-serve frozen desserts and their distinctive blended beverages. Their extensive menu showcases an array of mouthwatering burgers and crispy potato sticks alongside their signature shakes. This classic burger joint takes pride in serving up high-quality ice cream treats and refreshing milkshakes that have become synonymous with the Dairy Queen brand.
Keith our server and the cook were awesome. They did forget my ranch and blizzard at one point but it was near close. Wasn't a big deal but because of that they gave me free chicken strips fries and a kind of chicken I wanted to try but didn't want to purchase because I wasn't sure if I'd like it. The cook came out and delivered the extra food himself and was very polite. I normally don't like dairy queen at all but this place changed that for me. Will go here again next time I'm here

Food isn’t that great. Fries tasted old and the burger wasn’t the best. Not expecting it to be perfect but honestly I would rather go to McDonald’s next time. This location has reopened FYI. 3 star review.

I had to ask for the dilly bars I ordered and paid for to which the worker said she needed the blizzard coupons off their kids meals to get them even though they were paid for separately from the kids meals . Didnt receive the kids milk/drink that go with the kids meals and 3 of the 4 soft pretzels we ordered were still half frozen. Also no dipping sauce with the kids meals which were tossed into the bag. Not happy will be returning tomorrow to request a full refund.

Service was prompt, employees were friendly, and the place was overall pretty clean (minus a couple of tables I have to assume the staff just hadn't had a chance to get to yet). The location/building is clearly older and as such as some things that definitely look the part (namely the small single bathroom), but honestly nothing all that bad. The food was hot and fresh and the best food and service I've had from a Dairy Queen in years!

My friends and I stopped there the other day. The staff was rude and seemed lazy. The cashiers wouldn’t stop talking to their friends that were in the store. And our food took way too long for a fast food restaurant. I also watched a server give a dipped cone to a woman so carelessly and rude she almost dropped it. I wouldn’t recommend if you want a quick stop for food, or a good time at all

Terrible experience. First off we had to wait 20 minutes to get our food. Not exactly "fast" food. Then, the lady dropped one of our blizzards on the table when she was holding it upside down. Yet she still gave it to us. My friend's blizzard ended up having a hair in it. The ranch tastes sour. The bathroom was completely trashed. The worker was rude. This place is complete garbage and quite frankly I have had enough. don't come here, don't do that to yourself.

Very slow. I ordered after waiting more than 15 minutes in line that only had 4 people ahead of me. Workers weren't working fast at all and my blizzards(two friends with me) weren't served upside down before being handed to me. Food took too long to come out too. I usually don't write reviews. But I had a terrible experience and this needed to be posted.

Well now I read the reviews, I can see why my experience was no different than most. While I stood there waiting on my order, noticed the cook grabbing the uncooked chicken out of the bag and sticking it in the oven bare handed. No one had gloves on. This as the SARS outbreak was just developing a few weeks ago. Totally unsanitary. As simple as the order was, it still got messed up. Tossed it in the trash. Will definitely NOT be visiting this location again.
