Cafeteria
Caffè degli Specchi is a venerable cafe located in Trieste, Italy. Situated facing the Mediterranean Sea, it is surrounded by the city's public offices and an elegant hotel. The interior exudes an old-world charm, offering a perfect setting for enjoying brioches, coffee, and hot chocolate.
Such a nice place to sit and relax, and enjoy the great view of the square in front, in a restaurant with an elegant, historic feel. I had a lovely breakfast fruit plate and coffee. The atmosphere was calm and the staff didn't fuss or make me feel rushed. There are doves/seagulls around, but that's just what you get in a city and near the sea. They were not aggressive, but easily went away when you waved in their general direction.
Christina N — Google review
One of the oldest, if not the oldest cafe in Trieste. It is located on the largest square and has a wonderful view. The service is a bit slower, but that is common in Italy when you come to popular places. The food is the worst - the pasta with tomatoes and gambori is bad, the pasta is store-bought and as if it should have been cooked a little more to be al dente, and the gambori are frozen and you can really feel it in the taste. Prices above the average for Trieste. It's worth coming and having a drink, but not much more than that. Be prepared that if you sit outside, pigeons (mostly) and seagulls will land on chairs and tables and try to take your food, which can be very irritating and unhygienic.
Sveto R — Google review
Culture and modernity united. The best and oldest coffee, paired with exquisite and top-class pasticcini. Coffee at the counter for just 1 euro — and of course, the quality is perfect. Highly recommended! See the pictures!
Ahmed E — Google review
Delicious breakfast and tasty sets. Tried a traditional coffee with a side of chocolate. It was delicious and the croissants are amazing!!
Francine L — Google review
Do you know what kindness means? Kindness is when someone helps you when you’re most in need. My boyfriend and I were craving something sweet, and the guys at this place came through for us. Even though it was late on a Tuesday night and they were literally closing and packing up, they offered to prepare some sweet delights for takeaway. They packed everything with great care, very discreetly and with top-quality packaging. When we came home, we enjoyed the beautiful sweetness of what they had to offer.
Prentovic L — Google review
This is an upscale, historic café with a truly charming atmosphere. The place feels elegant and exclusive, yet the staff are very warm, welcoming, and attentive. Service is excellent. Whatever you order to drink, it’s accompanied by small snack like chips, peanuts, and cocktail toasts. They are also dog-friendly !
Benoit — Google review
Caffe Degli Specchi is the only thing I didn’t like in/about Trieste. The man who showed me to the table didn’t smile a single time. Neither did the woman who took my order. Both stone faced, both looked grumpy and not too welcoming. Showed me to a table under the glaring sun - no umbrella, no shade. Seagulls kept stealing people’s food and overturning ashtrays. Out of three things I ordered, only 2 arrived. Coffee was mediocre. Half the size and double the price of a coffee I had for brunch at a different restaurant in Trieste. Dessert was mediocre and on the expensive side. Took ages to pay because their card terminal didn’t work. The gentleman who came to rescue the unhappy man who didn’t know how to take a payment from me was the only one who smiled and apologized. I understand it’s the oldest cafe in Trieste, but with the attitude they currently have… unsure why they still have a high rating.
Tatiana S — Google review
This place is amazing! It brings you back in past, in some better times, with it's interior mostly, than with classic music etc. Stuff is very polite and helpful, and range of coffee and sweets is extremely wide and tasty. Highly recommendation for this place on Triestes central square.

Ice cream shop
Gelato Marco is a popular spot for delicious artisanal ice cream, offering a variety of classic and fruit flavors along with gluten-free and vegan options. Located just a few streets off Piazza Unita, it's known for its incredible pistachio and cremino combo. Visitors can enjoy their treats outside while people-watching or take them to go in convenient take-out containers.
Terrific experience with the staff and the price was very reasonable. Flavors on offer were quite diverse and interesting, and the joint is proud of its Sicilian heritage. On the day, I tried their grapefruit-pomegranate and "Detox" (apple-ginger-fennel), and both were very flavorful and high value. Would definitely return to this place! There's also a restroom on-site, and very good aircon, which is great in the summer.
Mackers — Google review
Above all, I felt good because the male staff was kind and I liked being able to choose the flavor after tasting. And the gelato was really delicious. I would like to visit again during my stay here.
Google review
A lovely little ice cream shop in the heart of the city. I really appreciate how well they organized the numbering system so there’s no crowding or uncomfortable pushing while waiting. The ice cream is delicious and flavorful, and they also offer several exciting soft ice options. A pleasant spot to enjoy a sweet break while exploring the city.
Péter S — Google review
Three of us had ice cream at this place. The ice creams were not bad. However, the male, thin staff member was extremely rude to customers. He got angry when we asked questions. He was the most disrespectful staff member I have ever seen. I definitely do not recommend this place
Halil K — Google review
Decent ice cream, but nothing exceptional — definitely not authentic Italian gelato. Large selection of flavors. Worth trying if there’s no line, but not worth the wait. One scoop costs €2.
Ilona N — Google review
I'm giving this five stars even though I never ate there. At ten o'clock at night the wait was at least half and hour and there were 44 parties ahead of me. I bailed. Apparently it's worth the wait and vies with Oggi for the title of best in Trieste.
Wayne L — Google review
Very busy with a ticketing system. You can only taste two flavours. The mango flavour was very light. The pistachio soft serve flavour was even lighter. The creaminess of the ricotta pistachio was great, complemented with pistachio paste. It was almost a stressful dining experience because of the ticketing system and there wasn't enough seating outside for everyone to enjoy their ice cream. The servers seemed impatient and weren't overly friendly, probably because they have a backlog of customers to get through. There seemed to be only locals ordering ice cream.
Davina — Google review
Great tasting gelato! It's worth the waiting on a busy afternoon 😋

Ice cream shop
Nestled in the charming city of Trieste, Gelateria Zampolli is a beloved destination for ice cream enthusiasts. This historic gelateria has earned its reputation as one of the best places to indulge in artisanal gelato, boasting an impressive selection of around 60 flavors that range from fruity delights to creamy concoctions. Despite its slightly off-the-beaten-path location and limited parking, it remains a bustling spot filled with locals and visitors alike who flock here for their sweet fix.
Wow! So many flavours to choose from and some of them I don’t even know what that is. Yes, they have the picture symbol flavours but since it’s in Italian I don’t know some of them. I’d like to give suggestion to have a bit description written underneath the flavour. I got ricotta pistachios and it was really good! Will be back to try more flavours.
Jess H — Google review
One of the best ice creams I've ever had! A wide variety of flavors, from ice cream to sorbets! Reasonable prices for top-quality products! The place is always crowded, which proves the quality of the products, but the service is fast because there are enough staff!
Iulian I — Google review
There are no words, no review, no story that can truly explain - or convince - anyone who hasn’t personally experienced the gelato from this place. You’ll hear it often: "It’s the best ice cream in the world". And if you haven’t tasted it yet, it’ll sound like the usual overhyped nonsense. But once you do, once that first spoonful melts on your tongue... it clicks. Suddenly, all the exaggeration makes perfect sense. You don’t just taste gelato then - you experience a shift in consciousness. A tiny enlightenment served in a cup or a cone. Someone, somewhere, has to be the best. Turns out, it’s this place. Sure, now and then, someone else might come close - maybe even match it for a fleeting moment - but Zampolli remains a Trieste legend, a regional treasure, and a small Italian wonder you simply cannot miss. Don’t overthink it. Just go. Taste. Ascend.
Vedran J — Google review
Absolutely delicious ice cream. We went yesterday and we will for sure go before our flight tomorrow to try more flavours. Huge sortiment, big portions, friendly service. I fully recommend bacci flavours and pomegranate.
Veronika J — Google review
THE BEST ICE CREAM IN THE WORLD!! We have travelled to a lot of places and eaten various gelatos in our life, but this is hands down the best you will find. Do no miss out going to Zampolli!! It is always busy for a reason!! Highly recommend!

When there is a line, it indicates that there is something desirable present. People wouldn't wait in bad weather for no reason. In Friuli, Gelateria Timballo is highly regarded and considered one of the best. If you find yourself in Udine, it's recommended to indulge in their wide selection of gelato flavors without any regrets. The establishment offers both indoor seating and an outdoor terrace.
One of the best ice creams I’ve ever had. Huge selection and delicious. Fast and friendly service. I had to get a second cup with few more flavors after finishing the first cup.
Toni K — Google review
Best ice cream in Udine, along the bike lane heading to Cividale a bit fare from city center. Benches inside and outside to taste the ice cream.
Franco P — Google review
Very friendly service during our visit at this generational family-run outlet. Heavenly ice-cream exploding with goodness and flavour off the charts. Delicious pistacchio and chocolate, but particularly one I've never heard before but well worth trying: "Scricchio" which has a hazelnut/almond notes with a biscuit texture. YUM!
Cleto T — Google review
Delightful!! I have to try all these flavors 😋

Buono! One of the best ice-cream I enjoyed so far. You should not miss it when you are in Udine.

Whenever there is a queue, it means that there is something good in it 😁People don't wait in the rain for no reason. Timballo is one of the best in Friuli! Please go and enjoy any kind of gelato you want if you are in Udine! You will not regret! There are a couple of tables inside and the terrace. But gelato there is so good that you will enjoy it even on the run ;)

Espresso bar
Pasticceria Cioccolateria Peratoner is a delightful establishment that offers an impressive array of delicious pastries, pralines, and coffee. With a reputation for their proficiency in chocolate craftsmanship and hot chocolate expertise, this classy and slightly traditional cake shop uses premium cocoa beans sourced from Brazil, Ecuador, and Venezuela to create a harmonious blend. The hot chocolate they serve is decadently rich, boasting earthy flavors with just the right amount of sweetness.
The atmosphere inside is really Beautiful, the staff is very pleasant and helpful. We had coffee, a coffee smoothie and ice cream. The coffee cocktail was perfect, espresso coffee with ice cream and cream. I definitely recommend this cocktail on a hot day. The ice cream is perfect, good consistency. The cake was interesting, unusual, but when you leave the café, you can still taste it in your mouth - perfect!

We stopped in for some chocolate and drinks. Everything was absolutely amazing and we had some of the best service we have had in Italy. Everyone was very accommodating and kind. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a sweet treat!
Michaela D — Google review
I’ve been here several times and it is always a favorite. Such a unique little cafe with much more to it than meets the eye from the street. It is a great place to buy gifts or simply enjoy a cappuccino! I always feel as though I’m in a little dollhouse tea party whenever I am in the back room.
Steph R — Google review
Fantastic selection of pastries, pralines and coffee! Pasticceria Cioccolateria Peratoner is a classy, somewhat old school pasticceria known for their chocolate skills and hot chocolate. Their harmonious blend is made from cocoa beans from Brazil, Ecuador and Venezuela. The hot chocolate is rich, earthy and just barely sweet. Topped with freshly whipped cream, it’s a dream! Their pastries are also great: soft brioche buns with a generous filling of pastry cream, crisp butter pastry with a velvety pistacchio cream, etc.
Lorraine — Google review
Came for lunch, arrived 1350 with no waiting. They have a daily sale from Tues - Sat from 8-14 that includes meal, water, and coffee for a set price (12 euros). By the time the server came over at 1403, he said the sale was over at 14 hours, even though we sat there for 13 minutes before the waiter came to take our orders. I ordered the English breakfast plate and it was good. By 1430, there was a very long line to be seated inside, and the staff was so busy that they never came back and didn't even get the coffee that was also ordered. I tried ordering some chocolate desserts since we couldn't get the waiter to help us while seated, but that did not work either. Never got the nutella cookies i wanted. This place may get a better score when not too busy.
Vic M — Google review
I came to Pordenone for the first time and was really surprised by the beauty of the town. I saw this beautiful pasticceria and cafe bar that served delicious spritz aperol courses. Is absolutely astonishing and very cheap! Paid only 5€ . Highly recommend.
Gianluca F — Google review
Stopped in for a wine & took a break... A must stop in due to all the chocolate, pastries, coffee, etc. It sooo worth your time. Great attentive staff. The staff doesn't stop working, cleaning, & or setting up for the next guests. And you are treated as VIP guests...
Scott J — Google review
As always with Peratoner, the hot chocolate was perfect. Their cocoa blend adds a special flavor to the chocolate that cannot be found anywhere else. Prepared on a water base, the chocolate has a dark and deep color, followed by just the right density. At Peratoner, they always provide a homely but at the same time professional chocolate ambiance. From the very first step into the bar, you could detect the faint smell of sweets. As always, the staff is extremely friendly, and they go out of their way to make the experience even more pleasant.

The diverse selection includes take-away options like cool boxes with recommended items such as dopocena and cheesecakes.
Loved my caramel gelato. I'll be back! Great serving size for 2 euro!
Dale D — Google review
I had a wonderful experience at Jazzin Gelateria. The ice cream here is truly exceptional—rich in flavor and clearly made with high-quality, natural ingredients. What stood out the most to me was the fact that there was no artificial or chemical aftertaste, which is unfortunately so common in many other places. Every flavor I tried felt fresh, authentic, and well-balanced. The staff were also incredibly polite and welcoming. They took the time to answer questions, offer samples, and serve everything with a genuine smile. The atmosphere of the place was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a sweet treat. Whether you're a local or just visiting, I wholeheartedly recommend stopping by Jazzin. It’s a gem for anyone who appreciates good gelato and warm, friendly service.

We've come to this place now and then in summer. Prices are still the same (2€/scoop), but they don't do a mixed scoop. I'm missing more flavors to chose from and a scoop is small comparing to elsewhere. I can recommend lemon flavor! Fig on picture was also nice, tho quite sweet. There are vegan options 👌

I suspect this is the first time we have ever stayed above an Gelataria. Madge insisted we give it a go. Huge selection of ice cresms, sorbets and cups. A single scoop in a cone for 1.90€ is great value. Mint choc chip yummy as was my stracciatella, an Italian favourite.

Normally I never write bad reviews but today’s encounter at this place had me at lost for words…I know I shouldn’t have brought in a cannolo from another shop, but I still ordered and paid for my coffee without issue. Instead of addressing it calmly, the owner/worker there(not sure?)chose to gossip about me in Italian and later confronted me with passive-aggressive and verbally hostile remarks. It felt unprofessional and unnecessary, especially from someone representing the business. Perhaps focusing more on improving attitude would be better for customers and I hope she remembers me every time she sees a cannolo.”

Coffee shop
The atmosphere at Capitan Morgan's ice cream shop is pleasant, with friendly waitresses. The quality of the pizza is average, and the toast has a chewy texture akin to bubblegum. However, customers can enjoy refreshing fresh pressed juices. It should be noted that these offerings come at a relatively high price. Overall, Capitan Morgan's is regarded as the top bar in town, praised for its excellent service and prompt delivery.
We've been here three times as a couple during daytime, here our opinion: + very friendly and attentive staff + the whole team appeared supportive to each other + the ordered meals were quite big + the prices were fair + the ice-cream is really tasty - loved it! + the salads are a secret tip for vegetarians - check it out! o the music could have more concept, very different from day to day. My suggestion @the owner: how about giving the team a try to create a suitable playlist? o i would also suggest to give the bar a new concept instead of the American Pirate aka Captain Morgan-look, because the quality of the service ist above the "feel" when you first see the bar. There's quite potential to improve this easily, in my humble opinion! - the tables in front of the bar in the left hand site are quite at an angle due to the uneven ground.

Have been to this cafe many times with family. In 2022, they prepared delicious ice cream, this year, 2023, everything was tasteless! There was only a beautiful picture, and the quality, unfortunately, deteriorated very much.

Disgusting. Frozen food. Pizza with tuna sour, fries half raw, "German Wurst" does not resemble meat, but dog food. The staff does not speak English and does not understand anything. The chef assures that the dishes are sold very often and no one complains, maybe they do not understand what the customers are saying. Drama. I advise avoiding this place.

You want the best ice-cream/sundae, which are made with passion, in all of Lignano? Check-in Here! You want some insanely well mixed and tasty cocktails and drinks, which are certainly worth their price, in all of Lignano? Check-in Here! You want some enthusiastic and engaged waiters and staff, which are fast as lightning, even if it's a full house? Check-in here! Shout-out to; Ivan, the amazing waiter who was the reason why we stayed all vacation mainly at this place! Philippa, the insane bartender who has his profession in his blood, best cocktails we had in northern Italy! and a shout-out to the new owners; your playlist is amazing. You guys got the only bar which has such amazing tracks, especially the 90s mid 2000 era. It's become a rare thing, to see people across all ages vibe and occasionally even sing along to some of the iconic tracks. 10/10

Gelato was ok. Didnt get coffee even ordered. Didnt get recipt dueing payment and I think they took more money than the actual prices was. Not a very nice experience. Felt a bit like turist scam.
Laura M — Google review
Absolutely unacceptable! This bar doesn’t believe in treating guests with basic decency – instead, they physically confront you because a waiter imagines you’re connecting to their Bluetooth speaker. No words, no questions – just hands on my shoulder, out of nowhere. No warning, no respect, no justification. If that’s your idea of customer service, you might as well shut the place down. Aggressive, rude, and downright embarrassing.
Christian K — Google review
I have been coming to Capitan Morgan every year during my holidays in Lignano, and it has always been one of my favorite spots. However, what happened yesterday completely changed my opinion. One of the evening waiters, “Ivan”my absolute favorite and someone who has always made my visits special was fired in front of all the customers, right in the middle of his shift. It was an incredibly unprofessional and humiliating scene, both for him and for those of us who witnessed it. I couldn’t believe how disrespectfully the owners handled the situation. This happened on my last day of vacation, and unfortunately, I left Italy with a very bitter memory. Shame on the management for treating a dedicated employee like that. I sincerely hope the owners reflect on their actions and how they treat their staff because no one deserves to be humiliated like that.

Pasticceria La Bomboniera is a historical pastry shop that has been enchanting visitors since 1836 with its perfectly preserved Art Nouveau furnishings and vintage wood-fired oven. This fairy-tale place offers a heart-stopping selection of cakes, pastries, and chocolates based on Austro-Hungarian tradition.
It is a great place to start the day with great coffee and a very large options of cake, biscuits and chocolates. I took the Venetian and the Pistachio biscuit. The Venetian biscuit was a little bit dry, however the staff are very nice and the quality price is excellent. Plus, there is offered a mini glass of hot 🍫

We started the day with breakfast at the oldest cafe in Trieste, Pasticceria La Bomboniera, which dates back to 1836. This Austro-Hungarian style pastry shop specializes in pastries like Rigojancsi, Sacher, Linzer, and Pischinger. They still use the original wood-fired oven.

I can only recommend the patisserie. Try to get a place inside to get feeling about the place. It's a bit like a well functioning beehive. The sweets and hot chocolate were amazing and the prices very reasonable.

Poor service. They forgot our order after we waited for 20 minutes at the terrace. With only 5 other table with guests. They speak only Italian. There is like 5-6 people working and no one didn’t even try to say 1 word of english. After we said that they forget cakes for our kids, we waited for 10 minutes and they forget it again. And one important thing. They do not have a toilet. This is also against the Italian law.

One of my favorite cafés in Trieste. I love their sweets, especially the red velvet cake and red velvet cupcake. Today, I also happened to try their vegan lunch, and I can say it’s really, really good. BUT, today we went there between 12:20 and 13:00, and the service was really BAD. One of the staff members kept chitchatting, not paying attention at all. I saw that our order was ready, but she stood there talking for about 2–3 minutes with one of her colleagues right in front of our cake and coffee before serving it. I mean, how can a staff member keep talking in front of a client’s order? Imagine her saliva landing on our food. Secondly, she didn’t even say “excuse me” or anything when she came to remove our plates. The really bad part was that she stood behind me, noisily throwing all the utensils onto the tray like she was mad or something. She also got my husband’s order wrong, which I can understand since it was a busy hour. However, I’ve never met such a rude staff member in my life until today.

(Translated by Google) I purchased a surprise bag from this store via the "Too Good to Go" app. Pickup was scheduled for 6:30 PM after driving to no avail and paying for parking. I received a cancellation email from the store at 6 PM. The shameful thing is that they require a minimum of two hours' notice if you want to cancel, while they themselves cancel your order shortly before, not caring about people like me who had to drive a quarter of an hour or more and pay for parking since the street where they're located is a restricted traffic zone.

(Translated by Google) I returned to this pastry shop after 15 years, and I must say the quality hasn't changed. I'm very happy to have found the kind lady again, who I believe is one of the owners. The rest of the staff is excellent, the atmosphere is very relaxed, and the crowds are typical of a city center like those of years past. I was pleasantly surprised that pets are welcome (especially since there's a vet right next door—also excellent!). Last but not least: finally, I don't have to compromise between a perfectly made cappuccino and a mediocre brioche, or vice versa, because everything at Dusci is delicious! It really feels like I've gone back to a time when shop workers did their job with passion: it's thanks to these people that life has that little something extra that makes every day special. Great place for breakfast or coffee and cake in Cividale. Went on a Sunday morning for my birthday and had a cafe latte with a slice of strudel, which was one of the best I've had. Lovely flakey pastry and just the right amount of filling!

Everything was OK, only we waited at the table to order for 10 minutes and than for espresso and aperol to come another 15 minutes. Than we went to other bar for another drink. Otherwise the woman inside was very sweet.

I came upon this lovely chocolate shop while wandering the streets of Trieste. The candies were excellent. The hot chocolate was probably the best I've ever had in Italy. The shop is situated in Piazza di Cavana, so it's a good spot for people watching while you enjoy your chocolate treats.

During my stay in Trieste I came twice each day for a cicolata calda in a piccolo cup (ladled from a pot). It was so heavenly creamy and intensely dark and is served with a spoon, so can enjoy it properly bit by bit. You can also choose from a variety of toppings (heavy cream, spices e.g. cinnamon, salt, cardamom etc.). The owner of the shop (?) was very lovely. They have a wide selection of pralines, cookies and ice cream as well.

This place is the perfect cozy escape for a winter day! Picture a small, warmly lit café with vintage wooden tables and plush chairs by a crackling fireplace. The walls might be adorned with art, quaint shelves lined with books and ceramics, and soft, ambient lighting casting a golden glow. Maybe there’s a beautiful snow-covered view through the window, adding to the charm. The friendly lady who runs the place greets each guest as if they’re family, recommending her favorite cakes, like carrot cake or a spiced apple tart, paired with freshly brewed tea. And the pace? Unhurried, allowing guests to savor each bite and every sip while they soak in the calmness. It’s the kind of spot where time seems to slow down—perfect for curling up with a book or just basking in the peaceful atmosphere.

excellent, natural gelato! In the last three years we come here when we visit Trieste. I’ ve tried almost every flavour. Amazing. The prices are very nice! Definitely love this place and recomend it to all gelato lovers and vegans too.

Good icecream with special selection. The ginger flavour was really great and other more typical ones taste great too! You can choose your cupsize and then mutliple flavours that this cup should be filled with. You pay for the amount that fits in the cup and not per scoop. Really great if you like to mix and match!

I am a big fan of Pistacchio gelato - and believe me when I say this was the best gelato I ever had! Ever. We ate at a restaurant two doors down and he recommended this and right on the spot! Absolutely brilliant - with real pistacchio flavor and pieces! Highly recommended

If you're wandering through Grado, make sure to indulge in the delightful experience of Ice cream Lattepiu. This charming spot offers a range of homemade flavors that are far from the mass-produced options found elsewhere. The standout is undoubtedly their pine nut and caramel ice cream, which envelops your senses with its rich buttery aroma and sweet nuttiness—it's an experience you won't forget! Even if you're not typically a fan of sweets, this creamy treat might just change your mind.
Pine nut and caramel ice cream was the biggest ice cream experience i had in my life. Butter, caramel and nut aromas overwhelming brain and all senses, like you cannot walk, you need to enjoy another bit. And i dont like ice cream, and sweets in general.

(Translated by Google) Today, August 16th, like many other times, we went up to Auronzo to get the usual excellent desserts from the pastry shop. Unfortunately, this time we had the misfortune of finding an arrogant and rude clerk behind the counter. It's a shame because I've always had a good experience there over the years. My wife wanted two slices of a cake, the clerk cut it and gave her a slightly burnt one, and put the prettier one back in the display case. My wife politely asked if she could have the one in the display case that wasn't burnt. She replied curtly, "What difference does it make if you keep the burnt one?" So my wife gave up and asked for slices from a tray of berries that were on display, but the clerk replied that they were reserved. But if a cake is reserved, why is it on display? It seems like a real act of spite to me. My wife asked for the bill and left, even though she wanted to get more desserts for her relatives.

Mu Lignano Sabbiadoro is a delightful ice cream shop that offers an unforgettable experience for kids, allowing them to create their own unique ice cream variations. While the prices may be on the higher side, the joy of crafting personalized treats makes it worthwhile. This year, they introduced a new coffee cream flavor at a separate station near the entrance, which has been well-received.
There is nothing better than “building” your own ice cream/frozen yoghurt. Aside from the great variety of flavours they offer, it is apparent that they value quality and cleanliness which is always appreciated. Always coming back here when on vacation!

You can add a lot of toppings eg pistachio and hazelnut cream/sauce which are really good. Not five stars because I tried the pistachio ice cream and it tasted a bit like nothing. Strawberry is better.

This ice cream creations shop is made accessible for the kids to make their own ice cream variation. The price is high of course for this attraction but for kids it is just unforgettable experience. New attraction I found this year is the coffee cream. This was right thing for me. It is on the separate soother at the entrance. I recommend it. There also a big poster that for every 4 Euros spend you get your lottery ticket. Unfortunately they do not remind you of this opportunity at the counter. which I consider additional fun, but missed it ...

Icecream was delicious & amazing, but the cashier lady was the rudest ever! She made us feel really bad. There is a selfie machine in entrance, that we were trying before entering, & she was like: what do you want? We said we wanna get icecream. She said then come in & get. In a very rude way, like saying you don’t belong here get out. Also while weighting she was rude & impatient. Icecream with any topping you want(with a lot of options) is 22€ per kilo. A typical icecream will cost you about 7€ I give 5 stars for the icecream taste, variety of tastes & toppings, but 1 star for rude staff who ruined the experience.

At OGGI Officina Gelato Gusto Italiano, the experience of indulging in gelato reaches new heights. This charming gelateria prides itself on using only the freshest and most carefully selected ingredients to create an incredibly creamy texture that is simply irresistible. The menu features a delightful array of seasonal flavors, with a special nod to local specialties like gubana and fior di grappino friulano, ensuring that each visit offers something unique.
Delicious Gelato & Wonderful Service – A Perfect Combo! I had the most delightful experience enjoying authentic Italian gelato recently, and it wasn’t just the gelato that made it special — the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The gelato itself was pure perfection. Creamy, smooth, and bursting with rich, natural flavors. I tried the pistachio, stracciatella, and mango — each one tasted fresh and homemade, with just the right balance of sweetness. You could really tell that high-quality ingredients were used. But what truly made it memorable was the staff. They were warm, patient, and happy to offer samples so I could find my favorite flavor. Their genuine passion for what they do made the whole experience feel personal and inviting. If you’re ever in the mood for a sweet treat with a side of great service, Italian gelato is the way to go. Highly recommend stopping by — both your taste buds and your mood will thank you!

The ice cream here is just incredible! We took different sorts of it and they taste exactly like each ingredient. What you come here be ready that you whole imagination of good ice cream will be turned upside down! Definitely recommend it.

High quality gelato and interesting flavors on offer, plus a nice little biscuit added to your scoop. I paid 4 euros in June 2025 for two quite small scoops, like under a cup each... so for value I think there are other options in Trieste. But... on a hot day, this will absolutely do the trick and is worth the stop. I had their fragola (strawberry) and the pulcinella, which I think is ricotta with citrus zest and chocolate ripple. Both quite good.

Only come here if you are ready for all other ice cream, sorbet and gelato to be ruined for you forever. THIS IS THE SINGLE BEST GELATO I HAVE EVER TASTED. If a food item could bring world peace this would be it! My friends and I came to this place 5 days in a row on our vacation... this was now exactly 2 weeks ago... Since than we are dreaming of this cold delight every single night (this is starting to become a problem). But I could never regret coming here, thank you for those lovely days and please keep on making such high quality gelato, and hopefully we will have the pleasure to visit you again🤍

(Translated by Google) Giving a 2 star rating to the Giada pastry shop hurts me more than it hurts you! As a loyal customer, I'm sorry about this, but there it is. Let's talk about Saint Honorè cake: the classic birthday cake and when I say classic I believe that this is also the recipe... From a haute patisserie atelier I didn't expect such a variant; obviously when ordering I didn't inquire about the interpretation of the dessert by the pastry chef on duty as I always found it the way I like it: with PASTRY! And this is the first problem: browse in the lower part and...be careful, be careful...spa n d in the upper part. So, using sponge cake in this cake is, in my opinion, a vulgar shortcut of a lazy pastry chef (I would like it peeled...) who thus, with a greater thickness, manages to reduce the quantity of cream used! But in a dessert costing almost 40 euros per kg I wouldn't save much on the cream! And here is the second problem: the cream Dear owner, legendary pastry chef and father of Miss Giada, Where did the recipe for your famous cream go which, he told me, drove his American customers and myself crazy? Please, I beg you, tell me that the hens who provide you with eggs in this heat have laid few and not too good ones; that your flour supplier's electric truck battery caught fire and you had to buy them at the discount store; that sugar is no longer granulated as it once was; that the pastry chef on duty has a cast on his hand and is unable to mix the dough; who forgot his glasses at home; that the planetary mixer burned out; that the blender is undergoing maintenance... In short, kindly give me an explanation, hoping that it is among those exposed and not that it is your new standard, because if that were the case I will no longer be able to be one of yours... with sympathy P.S.: absolutely questionable opinion (Original) Dare 2 stelle di valutazione alla pasticceria Giada fa più male a me che a voi!

(Translated by Google) Until yesterday I would have given 5 stars to the quality of the products of this pastry shop, in fact I have always been satisfied even if they are not very punctual when it comes to respecting the timing of the reservations of the ordered desserts. Today instead I should give 1 star, because yesterday, Christmas day, I made a fool of myself in front of my guests because of the artisanal panettone purchased for the price of €25 and which turned out to be really awful. Apart from the peculiarity of being covered in a sugar glaze, granulated sugar and almonds - like the colomba to be clear - something never seen on a panettone defined by them as 'classic' (unfortunately we discovered the glaze only once we opened the package), the panettone was very dry. Luckily I had a Motta panettone that a guest had brought and we settled for that which turned out to be infinitely better! La Gioiosa is a gem of an ice cream shop that truly stands out for its commitment to quality ingredients and exceptional flavors. With a wide array of choices, from the classic Sicilian pistachio to innovative seasonal delights, every scoop reflects the owners' passion for their craft. The friendly atmosphere makes it even more inviting, as the owner and his wife are always eager to share recommendations on their best offerings.
We call ourselves ice cream connoisseurs so believe me when I say that this gelateria is among the very best. Especially „Cremino“ is so good we cannot get enough of it. Very creamy, great taste.

Creamy ice-cream. The best is if you manage to lick it at sea shore on a sunny day and admire some pretty girls there...🌹⚘️🌷💋... 2 € for a scoop, but that is a Grado tourists city...

Amazing ice cream! Natural taste and helpful people. Coming back every day.

This is one of those ice cream shops where you can tell that every ingredient is perfectly selected. They have delicious ice cream with a ton of flavors to choose from—everything from classic pistachio that tastes like it came straight from Sicily to unique, seasonal creations that are always a delightful surprise. You can really see the passion the owners have for what they do. If you're looking for something refreshing, you absolutely have to try the granita. It's smooth and full of real fruit flavor, not just a watery syrup with ice. My favourite was mandarin flavour. But the absolute must-try is the ice cream in a brioche bun. The soft brioche combined with the perfectly creamy gelato is a true treat. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience an authentic Italian atmosphere and eat top-quality gelato.

The owner and his wife were really friendly! He gave me tips about the best flavors, since there were so many to choose from! The "gelato" was delicious with an extra crunchy cone and whip cream!!

Nestled just a stone's throw from Piazza del Liberta, Gelateria Luna Udine is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in the sweet life while exploring this charming city. Known for its rich and creamy gelato, Luna offers an impressive variety of flavors that cater to all tastes, including some unique options that are sure to surprise your palate. While many visitors rave about the classic choices like pistachio and strawberry, those who prefer sorbet will also find delightful offerings here.
Excellent gelato. Rich and creamy with a nice assortment of flavors you always find in a gelateria plus some interesting and tasty unusual flavors. I tried another gelateria today but wish I had gone back to Luna instead. I'll be back there tomorrow.

Unfortunately very weak. This is Italy! You should be proud of your gelato. 1/ not frozen enough 2/ extremely sweet 3/ lacking the natural flavors 4/ huge portions 5/ affordable
Łukasz J — Google review
I only eat sorbet so I can't comment on the creamy selection. Lemoine was gone. Strawberry taste like frozen berries but not horrible. I didn't find the serving small or at all over priced, two scoop 3.80 it's not expensive. Servings in other places in Italy were higher cost.

If you're on the hunt for a delightful breakfast spot in town, look no further than Pasticceria L'Oca Golosa. Renowned for serving some of the finest brioches and pastries, this charming patisserie is perfect for a morning treat or an afternoon break. The staff here are exceptionally friendly, ensuring you feel right at home as you savor their delicious offerings.
I absolutely love this pastry shop! Every visit feels like a little escape into a world of delicately crafted sweets and pastries. Their selection is impressive—each item is unique, often featuring alternative ingredients that bring exciting and unexpected flavors. You can tell there’s real creativity and passion behind every dessert. This Easter, they went above and beyond with an adorable collection of fun, cute sweets that were as delicious as they were charming. The quality is consistently top-notch, yet the prices are surprisingly reasonable given the level of craftsmanship. The atmosphere is always welcoming—fresh flowers, a spotless interior, and a calming vibe make it a joy to spend time there. On top of that, the staff are kind, polite, and genuinely helpful. They’re always happy to explain the menu or suggest something new to try. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality, creativity, and a touch of sweetness in their day!

Perfect for your early breakfast, wonderful ice coffee, and quite a delicious brioche, the almond granita is not as good as the other component of the breakfast. Personally, I don't like too much the patisserie, so I vividly advise to take the Sicilian Breakfast as in the photo.

Wonderful gelateria in central Trieste, which I kept thinking about nearly everyday when it came to the question or where to get gelato :) The price is fair, especially considering the quality of the ice cream. Aside from having a variety of flavours the flavours tasted very natural (not synthetic or like “too sugary”) and unique. For me the chocolate orange was a first in great chocolate ice cream thats not overly sweet, but more rich in taste. Also the lemon cake flavour is very refreshing, sweet but not overwhelmingly and how we’d say in Austria “sau geil” (religious experience honestly) All in all do yourself a favour and visit the Gelateria Arnoldo for some yummy gelato.
