I've been to the Dartmouth crossing location several times and always been very happy with the food and the service. Unfortunately, this location didn't love to to my expectations. The food was ok but nowhere near as good as what I had at Dartmouth.. The burrata salad was lacking flavor, wasn't fresh and the bread wasn't toasted or grilled. The AAA beef with fries was dry (amazingly since it was braised in sauce) and the fries were little left over bits rather than full fries. Even the onion rings weren't as good as the other location. Dessert was lackluster. In terms of service: the table wasn't ready when we arrived for our reservation and we waited 15 min. past our reservation time to be seated. The server took away one of the plates before we were finished it without asking. I chased after her but she was dumping our food in the garbage as I was calling after her to let her know we hadn't finished. She brought the mains before we had finished our appetizers (we're not slow eaters). They did discount the appetizer they prematurely threw out which is why they are getting 3 stars instead of 1. Parking is extremely difficult so expect to walk or take a cab/Uber.

We had a spectacular dinner at 2 Doors Down. A cozy atmosphere, excellent service and the food was amazing! My partner is celiac so was very happy they had a gluten free seafood chowder, and it was so good. Loved the biscuits with the butter and molasses as well. I had the scallop and asparagus risotto….definitely recommend!

Seafood heaven with flawless service, a must-visit in Halifax! Absolutely loved my visit to 2 Doors Down, Food + Wine. I tried the seafood chowder (creamy, loaded with tender fish and shellfish), the chicken and honey onion rings (light, crisp batter and sweet). Every bite was delicious with flavours that were both complex and comforting. Even my non-alcoholic Dirty Chai-tini was fresh, balanced, and spot-on. The Spinach and crab-crusted salmon was perfectly cooked, topped with a rich spinach and crab crust that added a savoury, slightly sweet depth to every bite. The eggplant parmesan was hearty and comforting, with tender layers of eggplant, rich tomato sauce, and golden, bubbling cheese. The desserts were a sweet finale beautifully presented, with just the right balance of indulgence and finesse, leaving me wishing I’d saved more room. Service was excellent. Our group of about 25 was handled with smiles, accuracy, and efficiency. The ambience is warm yet elegant; a place you can linger over great food and conversation. Highly recommend if you want a meal that’s cooked with care and full of flavour.

Small but mighty sit down restaurant. I treated it like a fast food joint and was not disappointed. Food came out quickly and tasted great. My waitress, Anastasia, is one of the nicest and most down to earth people, and was a pleasure to chat with.

Absolutely Fantastic – Even During the Dinner Rush! This was my second visit in a month, and once again, I left genuinely impressed. I came during a very busy time—the restaurant was packed—but despite the crowd, the kitchen delivered flawlessly. I had the shrimp and scallop tagliatelle, and it was absolutely delicious. The seafood was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and clearly very fresh. Every bite of pasta was rich and satisfying, without being too heavy. I also ordered the valley-grown salad, and it was just as impressive. Each component was placed with care, and the balance of textures and flavors really stood out. It felt thoughtful, not just thrown together. Service was smooth even under pressure, and the overall atmosphere was energetic but still comfortable. It’s rare to see a place perform so consistently under pressure—definitely one of the better dining experiences I’ve had lately. Highly recommend, and I’ll absolutely be back again soon.

Great food and service. Pork belly dish was one of the best I’ve ever had and the deep fried macaroni log was an interesting take on pasta. Reservations are recommended, although we did not have one, they were able to take us in between reservation timings. Great ambiance.

Our server, John, was fabulous, from greeting and seating, straight through to wishing us goodbye as we left. The food was Incredible! The Buttermilk biscuits with molasses butter was a beautiful appetizer. I had the Kale Caesar salad with chicken and I loved EVERY BITE. Both of these paired well with the Pop shop-inspired mixed drink I had. The dessert - maple creme brûlée - I could have married that. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the music wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t have a simple conversation. 100% recommend, and will return.

Delicious fresh made sandwiches on their own bakery buns (we chose sourdough) - generous amount of fresh roasted white chicken meat and lovely roast beef with your choice of deli cheeses, with any fresh toppings (green or red pepper slices, onions, lettuce, tomato etc) - was delicious! Amazing old building and old deli style feel in the space - would be fun if we could see the bakery activity (which I believe is upstairs). Thank you!

First off the Sandwiches were so delicious 😋 So nice to have fresh ingredients. I had the chicken sandwich on sourdough bread, no sauces and all the available veggies and smoked Gouda, and my husband had the roast beef on sourdough with his choice of toppings and cheese. Sooo good and filling. But, even though the sandwiches were delicious I was so amazed about how outstanding the customer service was from start to finish. The service was top notch. Atmosphere and ambiance cannot be beaten. Will definitely be returning again and again. Definitely worth 1hour to 2 hour drive .

Another great opportunity to support local businesses and farms in Yarmouth! Superb customer service with knowledge about the food and health benefits of the food they prepare! Today I had the lamb sandwich on multi-grain bread with fresh romaine lettuce, green and red peppers, feta cheese and topped with taziki sauce! Not to forget the Baklava that was so good that I forgot to take a photo! They currently have a limited menu but with still so many salads and other options that it is hard to choose! I guess I'll have to go back again and satisfy my curiosity!

We are from Pictou County,and our kids are in karate so travel for tournaments.This shop was introduced to use 4 years ago by another parent,so every time we go to Yarmouth this is our go to location for lunch,excellent sandwiches and other baked goods and look forward to it as soon as we know we are heading this way.

Easily one of the best places to eat in Yarmouth. The food is delicious, fresh, and REAL food. Bread is baked fresh in house, and the soups and stews are to die for. You are literally always granted service with a smile and the atmosphere inside the restaurant is phenomenal. I recommend this to anyone looking for a delicious and filling meal!

Fresh ingredients, good location, clear entrance and exit following Covid protocols. We ordered a sandwich and muffin to share. The price was pretty steep coming to $20 plus tax and tips for just two items. I wish the muffin was warmed up for a few seconds in the microwave prior to being served, because both the sandwich and muffin was cold, which we weren’t used to for a breakfast meal.

The absolute BEST PLACE for ice cream!! The smell when you walk in is my favourite smell. I recommend the Wowie Cowie and the Mesie Bessie!!

COWS icecream is so good! It’s very creamy & their serving sizes are just enough to fill you up. They have many different flavours to choose from with descriptions of what is in each flavour on their website (they have a QR code you can scan on location) so you’re aware of any ingredients in case of allergies or personal preference. This location also has lots of merch you can purchase & also other milk related products to purchase. They also have multiple employees working especially at peak hours so sometimes the line will be out the door, but wait times shouldn’t be too long. I’d highly recommend trying it out

I’m not usually an ice cream person, but this small ice cream chain really won me over. Their ice creams are rich, flavorful, and have a wonderfully creamy, milky taste. I enjoyed them so much that I visited three times during my stay in Halifax!

It claims the best ice cream in Canada. Only way to know for sure is a coast to coast train trip to find out. Maybe @downielive is ready for the challenge

Tried it . Not worth the price . I cannot say that is bad but even a simple flavour like chocolate it s not intense and it s 7 $ dollars for one scoop. At Deedee I pay 7$ with a nice waffle and 2 big scoops that really taste good . I grow up in Italy so I know something about ice cream . And I can definitely tell that the price is not realistic. Other than that staff was nice .

Happened upon this charming place by complete accident while walking around town sightseeing. Staff was so lovely. Had the chocolate Cruffle. OMG. Was probably the most delicious thing I've had in a long time. Made a plan to come back the next day for lunch where they didn't disappoint. The Sweet&Spicy pulled chicken was fantastic. Just the right amount of spice for my white-gurl-palate to admire. In town till Sunday, I might have to make it a three-peat! So yummy!

SO good!! Best matcha ice cream I’ve had and the tiny taiyakis had such a delightful crisp while maintaining a soft interior texture! Absolutely delish and the atmosphere was really cute too!

Cafe Taiyaki 52 has perhaps the BEST taiyaki I've ever had in Canada. While it is a bit overpriced (I had a matcha custard taiyaki with a milk iced coffee (T52 coffee) for almost 10 dollars), it was worth it, and I want to come back before leaving Halifax. The house coffee, T52, was very tasty. The shopkeeper introduced it to me as the "special double double," but I'd say it's the usual Korean milk coffee. It was creamy, pleasantly sweet, but not too sweet like the actual double-double. The matcha custard taiyaki was the star of all of these - the outer layer was super crispy (it even had some pieces fall off as the "chips," which I could use to dip the whipped cream and chocolate sauce on the plate). The taiyaki cake itself was just perfect. It was crispy on the outside but super soft and creamy inside, and very fresh and hot. The custard was sweet, comforting and delicious, which was perfectly paired with the outer buttery skin. I don't think anything else could beat this combo as the perfect breakfast. The shop was super clean, well-organized and comfortable. The service was excellent. I love this cafe. 4.5 stars because it's a bit pricy.

I visited this place with my sister Daria and genuinely I have mixed feelings about it. First, I want to state that it’s a nice place to sit at. Good music, pretty plants and decorations, very clean. Second, the food is kinda mid and overpriced. I ordered a chicken sandwich and it tasted very strange- it was sweet and salty at the same time, and the chicken itself had a weird taste and structure of it. The fishes (vanilla and mochi fillings) tasted okay but nothing special. The drinks were okay too, but as I said, not worth the price. Third, the customer service wasn’t good. I had to stand up and go back to the table because they didn’t give me any sugar or napkins. The girl at the counter wasn’t really friendly and it felt awkward to order / choose food. Overall, this place is okay in general, but for such price I’d consider going to better places such as Pane e Circo where the food and drinks are worth its price.

I can only speak to the dessert menu items as that is all I have eaten here, but they're really good. I have tried a broad range of flavours, and none of them have disappointed. The atmosphere inside is really cozy.

The vandals donuts we came to is on the harbor. That location is not on Google Maps. The donuts were huge, based great and they sell shirts, hoodies and other trinkets. Very nice place to chill.

Such a fun and unique donut shop! 🍩 The donuts are fresh, creative, and full of flavor—you can really tell they put effort into making each one special. On top of the amazing treats, the shop also sells cool merch like accessories and t-shirts, which makes the place feel more like a lifestyle brand than just a donut shop. The vibe is playful and modern, and the staff are super friendly. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you want both delicious donuts and something fun to take home!

Service was not great. The one lady was serving a customer and the other girl behind the register told us to go back and wait for help. We went back and stood there for a few moments until that same girl came back over to serve us. Did not find her very approachable or polite. The store was cute , had a lot of options , all photo worthy doughnuts. Boyfriend got a chuckle out of the Homer Dougnuts and Homer balls. We ended up ordering a classic honey glazed doughnut and a Lemon Raspberry doughnut. Both fresh and delicious . The lemon raspberry was top notch especially with the freeze dried raspberry pieces ontop. Would recommend

The local place where we usually get our donuts from was closed for the long weekend, so we drove to Gottingen to get Vandals. Those donuts were WAY too sweet. One of my children (10 yrs) scooped out the filling, the other one (6 yrs) refused to eat it because it was “gross”. I enjoyed their coffee though, so I gave the review an extra star.

Fun place! Reminded me of Voodoo Donuts in Orlando, Florida. Atmosphere is great. Donuts are different than your typical donut place and they are delicious. We had the Lemon Raspberry donut. It didn't disappoint.

If you’ve ever tried Voodoo Donuts, I’d say that these donuts remind me of those but I think I prefer these ones more. Theyre huge donuts & they have a ton of flavours. The lady behind the counter was super helpful telling us how the donut pricing works & what is popular to try. They also sell other merch other than donuts that are donut themed. The donuts were pretty tasty, but they were also standard. They were on the dense side. They had fun flavours overall. We bought one of different flavours to try as dessert. They paired pretty well with a cup of tea.

I ordered 2 dozen cupcakes for a mini wedding celebration and they were such a hit! They are so cute and every flavour was delicious. I had accidentally entered the wrong date on my order but they whipped it together really quick for me and were so kind about the mistake, really great service. I would absolutely recommend! The crowd favourite was a feature, Banana cream pie, the best cupcake I’ve ever had ☺️.

Phenomenol cupcakes! I had ordered the salted caramel, oreo, and I believe a cinnamonish cupcake? They were so delicious! The salted caramel was my favourite (and I'm someone who's not the biggest fan of caramel). The frosting was so light and fluffy and the cupcake base was so moist. I need to come back again and grab more flavours to try!

Layers is the perfect place to get a sweet treat! Their cupcakes are perfectly created - fluffy, not too sweet and the perfect ratio of cake to frosting. They also always have new creative flavours to try! The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you’re going for a specific flavour, I recommend going early as they sell out quickly!

My long distance friends got a box of THE most delicious cupcakes sent to my place for my birthday last year. We decided last minute to get a wedding cake and cupcakes for our wedding. Layers was super helpful with deciding what to order and fulfilling our order perfectly we only a few weeks notice. We ended up ordering a small wedding cake and mini cupcakes for our guests which worked out perfect. I would definitely recommend doing mini cupcakes instead of the full size cupcakes as they are much more approachable especially after a large dinner. Layers doesn’t do custom wedding cakes but that wasn’t important to us so it worked out well.

Nice small cafe. The staff was really nice and welcoming. The cake was amazing! I ordered the Triple Chocolate Cake and London Fog Latte and both were great! The other cakes they have looks good too. I love the interior decoration of this cafe, cute and honey.

We ordered a cake from here last minute for our elopement, and it was made for us within a few hours, with beautiful personalised details. The cake tasted delicious and lasted well despite travelling all the way up to Cape Breton! We also found the bakery to be very reasonably priced, and would highly recommend.

The prettiest cakes and very talented decorating. The cakes seem very light which I enjoy. Not a place to get something rich tasting. But the way they do their cakes is so gorgeous who cares what it tastes like?! I always go to this place for the most epically decored custom cakes.

Came in based on the high rating. Ordered the red velvet cheese cake. The cake was dry and stale including the cheese cake part itself. It had no flavour. For over $8 + tax, it was not worth it. There was no service to even comment on.

On July 1st, I urgently needed a birthday cake for a friend around 4–4:30 PM. After calling several bakeries with no luck—most didn’t have any ready-made cakes left at the end of the day—I reached out to Piece of Cake. To my surprise, someone kindly offered to try and make a cake within 30 minutes and asked for a bit of time to confirm with their delivery person. They followed up shortly after to confirm that delivery would be possible. The entire experience—from the prompt and clear text communication to the on-time delivery—was absolutely seamless. The cake itself was delicious and beautifully made. It truly saved the day, especially since I live in Calgary and couldn’t be there in person. I really appreciate their incredible customer service and willingness to go above and beyond. Highly recommend!

I really enjoy coming here! The food is always tasty, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. The place also looks nice and well-decorated, which makes the experience even better. Me and my friends been here many times, and most of the time we’re lucky to have Dhairya as our server. The venue is very posh and pretty. It isn’t just a desert place but has a full menu of savoury dishes. Service from Abdul was great. Overall delivery of food was very slow and when it came - burgers were good but they couldn’t get the steak to be medium rare. It was well done even after a 2nd attempt. Desert was good.

Everything at Dessert Yard was absolutely amazing! The food, drinks, and desserts were all so delicious — every item was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Visited the Dessert Yard Cafe for the first time. Had a wonderful time with the family. The ambience, the service and the food was amazing. The ambience gives a fresh and bright look to the restaurant and it straightaway create a refreshing environment. A perfect place for spl moments. The service provided by Heidi and Sid was amazing, their hospitality skills are awesome and they serve every guest with utmost care and respect. Last, but not the least, the Food was just Amazing. Started our evening with the "Blueberry Blast", which created a flavorful passage for the other dishes. Later, we ordered the appetizers - Fish and Chips along with the crispy chicken, it came out with a couple amazing of dips. We also ordered the Sirlion Steak with mashed potatoes along with Tuna Steak with beans and salad, both were mouth watering and tender. Lastly, we ordered Belgian Milk Chocolate Sizzling Brownie with Vanilla ice-cream. The kids dived into their favorite Chocolate Waffle. All in all, we loved the treatment given to us today. Will definitely visit and highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

The waffle was great. Crepes& waffles are about $17 each. But, in general there are mainly chocolate / Nutella kinds available. They kindly customize it for you if you don’t like the sauce. The waiter was very patient and kind. The interior is dim and would prefer more lighting. The coffee tasted pretty bad…coffee should not be forgotten although their focus is on desserts. You could order hot meals as well but a little pricey.

Earlier this year I came here for a birthday treat and it was a good experience. Everything was delicious especially the strawberry cheesecake! Lovely ambiance and severs were checking on us.

My wife, daughter and I went for some ice cream on very hot day this past Sunday. I had pecan butter tart with cloud, my wife had chocolate fudge with cloud, and my daughter had cotton candy with cloud. We all enjoyed the experience and the novelty of the cloud. My wife and I really liked our choice of flavour. My daughter not really being used to having alot of sugar all at once she didn't feel well afterwards. Cotton Candy being super sweet who knew lol. Overall it was really tasty ice cream with a good experience and reasonable pricing.

A unique exprience to get sugar rush. Their ice cream topped with cotton candy is next level. I love how creative they are in making their food presentable nicely.

Ice-cream with a cloud, sounded exciting and we tried. Lighthouse Lemon and Gold Rise was our choice. It was delicious but a bit messy as the candyfloss around didn't help. It looked pretty, perfect for Instagram shots and the children would enjoy it much more than an adult. So go for the plain ones if you don't want sticky messy hands and clothes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Outside seating is available. Apart from Ice-cream, they had Cookies and Donuts which looked delicious.

As an used to be Ice cream chef guy, I can tell you that this place rocks, looks really clean and neat, the fog thing I have never seen In my life, it's such a great idea! Professional staff, really clean. It is a bit pricey, but to try something new I would not give it a cold shoulder.

I've been dying to try this place and finally got the chance to last week. I LOVE the look of the shop and the branding and graphics. Fantastic for photos. There was a line but it took us less than 10 minutes to place our order. I got the "Seas the Day" ice-cream creation and my friend got the chocolate soft serve with sprinkles. We waited about 20 minutes after placing our order to get it. But when I got my ice cream I was SO impressed with the look and care that went into making it. It was beautiful. My friend's cone looked really nice too. However, they started melting INSTANTLY very quickly as soon as we got outside. It was literally dripping down our hands and onto our clothes and shoes. They hadn't given us any napkins either. I also saw others around me seeming to struggle too. My friend gave up on his and threw his out. I finished mine but it was so stressful doing so. Luckily a lady there had baby wipes to give us so we could wipe off. I am wondering if they are not keeping their soft serve cold enough. I'm giving this place 4 stars because for me it was worth it to get something so beautiful and instaworthy.

We were the first ones there and the last one served 🫣 The young man was there by himself with no help. Other customers were served before our order was finished. The cheesecake was left on the counter for over 20 minutes. Well he made the coffee and served other people without saying a word to us. Our coffee was brought over to us once it was done but then had to get up to get a spoon and cream and sugar!!! This is the second time I was here and will not be going back again. Also watch your step coming in the door!!!! Cheesecake is amazing but at that price with everything else taking into consideration there are definitely other places to go

The Cheesecakes are amazing, So fresh and delicious. The service is not that good, She was lazy as well she didn’t ask if we wanted anything else or needed something she did not have the energy to be at work and looked like she wanted to go home, Not to mention she disappeared and we needed the parchment/wax paper so the cheesecakes wouldn’t stick to the cardboard box. The place is inside is not too crazy decorated but its decent with some nice classic music in the background, Definitely recommend coming for the cheesecakes.

I recently visited Antoinette's Cheesecake, and while it had its moments, there's room for improvement. The flavors, unfortunately, didn't quite hit the mark - except for the plain cheesecake, which was creamy and rich. The Moonmist flavor, however, was a letdown; it tasted vaguely medicinal, which wasn't pleasant. Overall, the flavor options could use some refinement. On the upside, the atmosphere at Antoinette's is lovely, with a cozy, inviting vibe. However, I think they could benefit from more seating options and a bit more ambiance to make the space feel more welcoming. One suggestion I'd make is to expand their beverage menu, particularly coffee and specialty drinks. This would encourage customers to linger and enjoy their cheesecakes in-house, rather than grabbing them to go. With a bit of tweaking, Antoinette's Cheesecake could become a top-notch destination for dessert lovers.

Ordered cake online and picked up in store. User friendly website, pricing competitive. Blueberry cream cheesecake was outstanding! Store is pristine and clerk friendly. Will order again :)

The first time I had a slice of cheesecake here, it was absolutely heavenly. Unfortunately, on more recent visits it feels like something has changed. The portions seem smaller, and while the cheesecake is still good, it doesn’t feel as special for the price anymore. Whether it’s the ingredients, the sizing, or the pricing, the overall experience just isn’t the same. I find myself going here a lot less now, which is a shame given how much I used to enjoy it.

I loved the service so much, I ended up visiting all of their locations! These cheesecakes are hands down the best in town. The owner was incredibly relatable and personable, it really made the experience even better. If I could, I’d eat them every single day!

Pleasantly surprised with this business the atmosphere look good. The service was excellent lots of interesting choices. I opted for cheesecake. We had the two different styles. Very good price was within expectations. Also tried some other pastries. Also, very good. I will return.

Another new place for me, and they had a dairy free option with their “New Vegan Sundae: Love Me Do” (vegan vanilla scoops, white chocolate pistachio cookie crumble, and strawberry sauce) if you need. I was excited to try this out, I went with two friends who had gotten the Small Sundae: Neapolitan ($9) and a Large Sundae: Caramel Crunch ($10), all pretty well executed! It could have been a filled a little more. For $2 more than a small I had less “vanilla scoops” in my cup and more whole pistachios, rather than pieces, sitting at the bottom in my sundae. I cannot complain about whole pistachios, but there’s a time and place. Delicious, absolutely, but maybe not quite worth the price that day. Important note: the wait was 10-15 minutes in line on a hot Saturday afternoon.

Hehe, I absolutely love Dairy Bar and their ice cream! It’s such a cute little booth-style takeout spot, and I actually enjoy getting in line because it makes me excited for my turn. I always order the Kiddo Sundae — it makes me happy every single time. The staff are super friendly and pleasant to chat with, which makes the experience even better. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

There was quite a long line before we could place our order — usually a good sign! Fortunately, the weather was beautiful, so we didn’t mind the wait. I went for a small blueberry soft-serve cone, and my son had the salted caramelized crunch sundae. Both treats were enjoyable, though not especially memorable compared to what you'd find at most other dairy spots.

Betrayal of trust! I was scammed out of half my ice cream, how do you charge 7$ for a cup of ice cream with a hole through the centre, as well as 3$ for a little drizzle of apple sauce. Good soft serve but treating customers like this is an act of betrayal! When I approached the employees they claimed that it was just “how they make it”. This has never happened in previous visits and shouldn’t be the new standard!

I tried ice cream here twice. Once I tried the coffee-cinnamon one which was so delicious. I ordered small but it was very big which isn’t a bad thing. I also tried the hibiscus one which was so big and easily for two people so be careful.

Been here 3 times, love this place. This time we had deep fried peanut butter toast, golden sago, and egg waffles. I have also had the popcorn chicken and rice bowls in the past. The sago is always refreshing and a large portion. The toasts were simple in flavours but rich and crunchy. The egg waffles was delicious. Ordering is quick and efficient with QR code ordering option, but I wish you didn't have to input so much personal info.

This place has such amazing desserts! It has a super cute atmosphere and all of the treats look so good, I had a hard time choosing. I ended up getting the mango crepe sundae and it did not disappoint! The mango sauce on top was the perfect sweetness paired with the light cream and juicy mango inside the crepe. The crepe itself had a delightful texture, it was thin but had almost a mochi like chew, delish! Definitely worth the trip out, and I will be back!

One of our favourite desserts spots in downtown. The service is always fast and pleasant, clean interiors, and quiet enough for conversation. The food is WOW. Absolutely delectable and dangerously yummy. I really enjoyed the black sesame ice cream, as well as the PB bites. We had some drinks as well, which were delicious.

The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was being able to sample a wide variety of flavors — there was something for everyone to enjoy. I especially loved the option to customize my own bingsu, cakes, and other desserts exactly the way I wanted. It added a personal and creative touch to the visit, making it both fun and memorable. I had such a great time, and I’m already looking forward to coming back again!

A Hong Kong style dessert shop. It also offers some savory dishes as well. The place is nicely decorated and the service is fairly quick. The desserts are not too sweet and they offer a good variety of sweets. Overall, a good place to get good sweets.

Sugar marmalade has the best matcha ice cream I’ve ever had. I got the matcha strawberry parfait and it was so good! It has whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, matcha ice cream, strawberries, and corn flakes. I ended up getting take out because I was on a time crunch and it was done in 10 minutes! The lady that served me was also very sweet. I will definitely be coming here again

check this place out for the first time I had the mango shaved ice, which was amazing we also had the strawberry and banana Mille-feuille which was good, but didn’t blow my socks off. being a big lover of peanut butter I enjoyed the deep-fried peanut butter French toast bites highly recommend. I most certainly will be back.

Great service! The owner is so nice and friendly. Good spot to experience delicious cakes. I had the chocolate with whiskey, vanilla with rum, and whiskey. I also got one big cake to bring back home. BTW, they were very moist and the owner explained me how to prepare the mix to put in the cake: rum or whiskey with water and sugar.

Loved the shop. Very quaint. The salesperson was welcoming and provided some good info on the rum cakes. I love rum cakes and have tried quite a few. I didn't quite like this one though. Just okay.

It's really nice inside and the person working was very helpful. I like that you can see that they're baked freshly as well. We came on a Friday evening and took a small cake to go. We got the original. The cake was nice but not enough rum at all. It was almost brushed with rum? I am used to eating a lot of foods with rum in it so I was very excited but this cake was very good for a cake, not really a rum cake.

If you like rum cake, run on over to Rum Runners and get a slice (or a whole cake). We were strolling along the waterfront and decided to pop in to get slices of the original rum cake and chocolate rum cake. The original was easily better - strong rum flavour, really moist cake. We liked it so much we got a small one to go. The chocolate, on the other hand, was pretty good, but could hardly taste the rum. Cakes are baked daily, but if you don't get there before the cruiseship hordes do, you may have to wait as they bake a new batch. (We missed out on the whiskey cake because of that - maybe next time!)

We bought a rum cake expecting some rum flavor in it. Unfortunately, we experienced a dry, flavourless vanilla bundt cake. Don’t waste your money in this place. Total scam.

Don’t sleep on the chocolate Rum cake it has less of a rummy flavour but great shot of chocolate. Nice and warm on this rainy day. Don’t expect to be punched in the face with a Rum flavour it’s milder than you may expect but really nice.

We stopped by Sweet Treasures Confectionery and got four 2-scoop ice creams with different flavours. While the shop has a fun, nostalgic vibe, the ice cream was a bit of a mixed experience. The orange pineapple and mango flavours tasted very artificial—definitely wouldn’t recommend those. The other flavours were okay, but nothing particularly special. It’s a decent stop if you’re craving something cold, but we’d suggest sampling before you commit to a full cone.

A darling spot in the heart of Lunenberg offering a gift store in front and a robust ice cream offering in the back. The space is extremely clean and bright. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The range of flavors of ice cream was amazing. 5 x 🍨🍨🍨🍨🍨

This ice cream is really good. The flavors are all top tier, and the cones are literally made infront of you. They taste so good but they are a wee bit britle and crumble if you squeeze too much. I also found the ice cream itself melted really fast even though we enjoyed it on a regularly tempature seaside evening.

Sweet Treasures Confectionery in Lunenburg is an absolute gem! Their homemade ice cream and treats are out of this world—rich, creamy, and full of flavour. Seth makes every visit a pleasure with his warm, friendly demeanour, always greeting us with a smile. Our Irish Wolfhounds are spoiled too, thanks to the thoughtful pup cups that make them feel just as welcome. A must-stop spot in town for both people and pups!

Good place with good food. Mainly a takeout, but there are tables to sit and eat at. The donair sub meat was quite soft and not your typical consistency of donair meat. Other subs are really good though.

A lovely eclectic store selling amazing homemade chocolates, an array of used and new books, cards, and snacks, coffee and tea. And it's location on historic Lower St. George St. in Annapolis Royal is gorgeous.

The chocolates here are very good!! Especially their truffles! I believe they are all homemade. I highly recommend trying it, and I now know I will be buying from them every time I am driving through Annapolis Royal. The bookstore was small, but nice and organized, with a good classics section and antique books in the back room. There was a fair amount of antique books for kids and young adults. When I visited, the store closed at 3 on Saturday. Also note that the street it sits on is a one-way.

A great little place to pop in and have a hot drink. The shop offers a collection of new, used and vintage books. In the back area you will find some antiques and collectibles. The best part of the shop is the chocolate. Hand dipped by JoAnn, the chocolates are always amazing! The shop is beside the playground making it a great stop for those with young ones.

The coffee is amazing. The salted caramel chocolate is almost as divine as the ginger covered chocolate. The company is second to none. Great spot to meet friends and enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere.

Get the Scoop is an incredible ice cream shop that offers delicious flavours of home-made ice cream. The ice cream is fresh, and with a high milkfat percent (my guess is around 16%), its creamy and gooey goodness with leave you with the best ice cream you'll eat all summer!

I've now had the opportunity to sample 4 flavours and I'm amazed. Hands down some of the best ice cream I've had. The ice cream is not commercially prepared frozen garbage. It's homemade, creamy and smooth. The flavours change almost daily so it's worth coming back regularly. They also have homemade waffle cones which are excellent as well as fudge. Cute decor and serve pet friendly pup scoops of vanilla ice cream on a bone.

I would love to add more stars. Lisa’s delicious ice cream is fresh made daily, and you can tell she uses lots of cream in her creations. Interesting flavour combos that taste amazing, but even the “usual” flavours are awesome. Also let’s talk sorbet, with all that fruit in it it just tastes like frozen fresh fruit. Lisa uses fresh local ingredients. Gotta love that! We ride motorcycles and this is our go-to ride from Halifax. We no longer even make up excuses to ride that way, we know it’s for the ice cream. We have tasted most ice cream places in NS and this is by FAR our favourite for the past 2 years. If you are in Mahone Bay DO NOT MISS the experience of tasting the best fresh-made ice cream you will likely ever have.

The shop owner convinced me to try the boring strawberry flavour. It was amazing! We chatted with her for quite some time; it was very evident that she has a passion for making amazing ice cream! Great stop on our little day trip to Mahone Bay and Lunenburg.

Yummy!!! Homemade ice cream varieties I've never heard of but very tasty. I thought it was a bit on the expensive side but the scoops were double the size of a normal one. She has pre-filled family size containers in a freezer to take home and enjoy later. Plus, she also devided a scoop for each of us to be able to taste 2 different kinds.

Hot lobster roll $31!...didn't order They skimp on everything. Burger had no lettuce or garnish at all, even asked for dill pickle and they never bothered with that, garden salad $10... lettuce with a scraping of carrot and a few bits of onion (see pic), most expensive lettuce I've ever bought. Place was empty and it took half an hour to get these two dishes. Really cold inside as always. ......update, they gave us the meal for free after the cook came out to lecture me that what I ordered was what was on the menu and that we hadn't waited for half an hour, basically accusing me of lying which she denied then went to lecture again that a salad is a salad what did I expect. She walked away from the table and I said to my friend "I can't believe how rude she is" she marched right back to the table and said "what did you say? Don't you dare speak to me like that" I pointed out it was a private conversation, I wasn't speaking to her, and she said "well have your conversation outside" I'm shocked of the rudeness, was she seriously suggesting that we dine in silence and go outside if we want to speak to each other? When we went to leave, cook came out again gloating, waving her order ticket at me, lecturing me again "look, look, you only waited 20 mins" ffs omg are you serious, you're proud it took 20 mins to cook a burger ha ha ha ha, not a way to treat customers, no wonder you're empty with such rude kitchen staff. Good luck for you in future anchors away lol 😂 you'll definitely need it. I'd say thanks for the free food but you've ruined my evening....especially with the lecturing from the cook ffs

Such yummy food and very friendly staff! We had Chrissy and she was lovely. Ate donairs to start, my mom had the cabbage roll soup with biscuits that they make fresh, and I had the chicken fillet sandwich. The coleslaw was delicious too! Will definitely be back.

Great family restaurant. We stopped in here on our way through the area and had a very pleasant, relaxing experience. Staff was wonderful and it was a safe haven from the weather outside. We both ordered the same thing, the chilli special, which was amazing. Very hearty and thick, filled with beef, and super delicious. We will definitely come back.

The coconut cream pie is a reason to stop there. Hot lobster sand was delicious, senior meals of haddock & chips and hot turkey dinner were a smaller serving allowing room for desserts which are all baked there.

The bread here is amazing. We have tried a number of different ones and have never been disappointed. The pastries and tarts are delicious. This Christmas we ordered a Yule log and it was far and away the best we have had. Go early as this place is very popular.

Best quality baked goods I have encountered in Canada. My wife and I bought pain au chocolat, 2 cookies and a traditional French baguette. And wow, this place is the real deal. They open at 6:30am, so clearly they take their traditional craft very seriously, and boy does it show. This bakery world be right at home.in Paris. Amazing 👏

I was on a road trip from Toronto Ontario, my in laws who live in Nova Scotia recommend the bakery. I will say I have never tasted something so fresh and delicious!! Before we left back home we made sure to grab few bags of croissants and butter cookies! You will NOT be disappointed :D

I don't live in Kingston, but whenever we drive by, we stop here and hope it's open. It's hidden in the back of a parking lot, like a local secret. It's not fancy. It may even be what used to be a garage. However, it is charming. You walk in. There is a baker. Everything is on display. There is nothing hidden. No back room. You can see the Baker, his ingredients, the oven, the racks. What he has baked is what is offered. The artist and his craft in full display. That is the beauty of it. What you can buy, I assume, is determined by what ingredients are available and what the Baker is inspired to create. Everything, I have ever bought was perfection. Last time, I bought a peach tart, it was glorious. Today no peach tart, a lemon tart. It was also delightful. For a moment the citrus made me forget the cold outside. Always present is some sort of crusty French bread. My son is partial to the rolls formed in the shape of a crown. With 5 of us in my family, it rarely survives the drive home. Everyone takes atleast one roll off the crown. My daughters' favorites? The buttery, flakey Chocolate croissants. Bring cash, that's all he takes. It will be worth every penny!

I’m a lover of all ice cream. Big and small, short and tall, hard to soft, I love ‘em all. I knew when I walked into this shop I was walking into something magical. The shop was very unique with their approach to soft serve. They have 4 base flavours that you can choose from. Then you mix in the ingredients you want. I went with the most popular. The vanilla and cookie dough but I opted to add skor pieces. At first I thought this was really good but little did I know the cookie dough was inside the cone. And let me tell you, the cookie dough was plentiful! I’m not lying when I say this is the best soft serve ice cream I’ve ever had in my life. Good thing I don’t live close by or else I’d start looking like soft serve

The best icecream, made in house. The reeces peanut butter cookie dough was mixed in instead of typical little chunks of cookie dough, which made the icecream so much better. One of the best ice creams I’ve ever had. The waffle cone was thin enough that it didn’t feel like a lot to eat, not leaving you bloated or overfilled.

The additional toppings list is too long to share but includes everything from brownies to skor and gummies. We stopped by The Real Scoop to grab ice cream after visiting some of the wineries nearby. It was a well deserved treat and we really enjoyed the servings that we ordered. The prices seemed a little expensive but, it wasn’t so bad for three adults.

I loved coming here. Usual kids running the back but what ever. Order a bacon cheese burger and the bacon was barely cooked. Took a big bit and gross. I complained just to bring it to their attention and was told it was cooked. Arguing with me. Even showing them how much I can stretch the bacon. So whatever. That'll be my last time. Ps. Fries were cold as usual.

Chaos behind the counter was pretty obvious. No one leading the team at all. No supervisor and/or manager on-site. Pathetic customer service. Took one of our items back in as we had requested extra topping which we couldn't see any. Only to be told, with attitude that indeed it had been added and that it all was at the bottom. Needless to say there was nothing at the bottom. I was sent out with the same item I walked in with. Absolutely horrible customer service. Pathetic. Will not be returning.

Feedback on Unsatisfactory Service I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the service my child and I received at Daily Queen Grill and Chill During our order, a staff member treated us disrespectfully by carelessly throwing a paper cup onto the counter for my son to get water while he was ordering hamburgers. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful, especially considering that my child was present. Such an attitude created an uncomfortable experience for both of us, which is not what I expect when visiting a service establishment. I sincerely hope that measures will be taken to improve staff conduct, ensuring that all customers, particularly children, receive the respectful and attentive service they deserve. I believe that respect and care for customers are essential components of any service industry.

Could not get to pop machine because a ladder left in the way and tables were dirty. Tons of staff but they seemed more interested in chatting in their language that serving people or cleaning

I realize we were probably annoying while ordering, not on purpose though. After you spoke perfect English through the ordering process, it didn't go unnoticed when you spoke French and then looked at us. The ice that you put in the cup, didn't help the warm flat soda. I gave it a 2 because my son liked his fries.

We ordered. Poutine and was told the fries were weighted out and it container had less then 20 fries on it. $6 and got nothing horrible instead of them filling it. They stood and argued to us

Food was very good, I had the chicken strips with fries and a soft drink. I was in drive through and the service was quick and the workers were attentive. The only issue is that the drive through has litter around it and doesn’t seem to be cleaned often

I went to DQ with my wife, actually that was her first visit, and we ordered a sundae for my wife and I was having banana split.. first she found a HAIR in her ice cream and complained store supervisor , she replaced it with new one , after few minutes I found the same problem with HAIR in my ice cream too.. and did the same as before took it to supervisor.. she didn’t care about much trying to accuse me it’s mine… we were really disappointed with their service… not found the solution.. very disappointing

Staff needs retrained . Ordered a strawberry shake and a caramel shake $12.29 for two smalls . Order was on Sunday May 10th at around 12pm . Heavy set girl at from counter with blond curly hair . No whip cream on top on either shake . Carmel shake had next to no caramel . Both shakes were more ice cream than anything else . Service was good and the place was clean but my exceptions on the product making were let down . I should have returned them however we got them to go . Would i go back to this location ? Meh not sure now as it feels like i lost $12.29 .

Mens washroom design needs to be looked at, urinals are right by the door with no dividers, people are completely exposed to whoever walks in. Need to keep up with their advertisements. Posters up for smores blizzards that are no longer available.

I typically avoid all Dairy Queen's because they microwave their burgers after asseming them and their fries are mediocre on the best of days. It's a good thing too because today was no exception, the saving grace was the pathetic amount of fries I did receive. I should have known better but it was the first thing I saw and we were in such a hurry I didn't really care. Avoid at all costs.

The young lady at the counter was EXTREMELY polite, I should have gotten her name so I could give her props. I've dealt with so many rude people in customer service lately that it was a gem to have her today!!

I hesitated writing a review for years, tried to give them a chance however nothing has changed, constant mistakes that management doesn't seem to care about, the customer satisfaction is out the window with the management staff , the other staff are lovely I ordered a cake years ago , when I went to pick it up it was spelt wrong, after bringing it to the managers attention she continued to argue with me saying it's spelt correctly... even if it was ( it wasn't) isnt it whatever the customer wants ... she did eventually change it for me but not before a 10 minute argument Just recently I tried to order a cake for my husband's birthday, again manager said she couldn't do what i was asking, she told me no DQ can I called greenwood and guess who filled my cake order, exactly how I wanted it... greenwood... I ordered a large cake online almost 2 weeks in advance, I showed up on pick up day- cake wasn't done, said they never got the order, I watched her scroll through her iPad and sure enough ... there was the email with the order unopened I might add. Come on guys ... do better.

Today was the most horrible experience of my life. These bathrooms are very dirty. I have previously complained to Lee the supervisor but nothing has been done. Today there was a simple mix-up in what was ordered. No problem, they fixed it and all was good. It did take a long time for my sandwich and I asked about this. I walked away. As I am eating, an employee of this site (blonde and belligerent, she did not offer her name) came to my table to give me grief about how I spoke to her coworker. She did not give me a chance to speak and spoke loudly and very aggressively to me. She continued to be loud and argumentative. It was horrible. This person should not ever be in a position of authority. She needs to be trained on all things for customer service.

Worst service in digby. I went though the drive through here with only 3 cars ahead of me and waited 20 minutes before i could even order. This process however was also very lenghty due to an apparent lack of communication skills with the employee taking orders( par for the course) i finally made a simple order of a 2 for 8 double cheesburger with fries and a drink and waited another 15 minutes for that, only to get a sloppily thrown together mess of a meal. Never again.

My dad spilt his ice cream and they gave him another for free, good service

Order was completely wrong. Once corrected my burger was ice cold and my onion rings were over cooked. I ordered for dine in and received a bag to go. No kidding. Only thing right was my pop, because I poured it.

As a person with coeliac its hard to find places to eat at. Majority of them don't have the understanding and always cross contamination. For the first time I was able to eat with no issues order off of the gluten-free menu on line. They took the time and effort to make every precautions. My husband was happy because we can now add one of his treat spots!

Had a birthday deal available which was redeemable through mobile as well as through the app. Took my daughter out after to supper to enjoy this with her only to leave disappointed. The workers wouldn't accept it even though it scanned through. Did it both ways and was given nothing nor an explanation. Dairy Queen you can do better. Won't be back at this location for awhile, if at all.
