Nestled in the charming village of Telč, Pizzerie Telč is a delightful spot for pizza lovers and food enthusiasts alike. This pizzeria boasts an impressive menu featuring gluten-free pizzas, tantalizing pasta dishes, and delectable desserts, complemented by a selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. During the warm summer months, guests can enjoy their meals in a picturesque garden setting that feels like something out of a fairy tale.
Fantastic view in this picturesque village. The outdoor seating area is out of a fantasia movie. The waitress was very friendly and checked on us often. We tried the penna arabiata which had a wonderful taste (probably from the sun dried tomatoes). Broccoli soup was delicious but came a little lukewarm (cold late September day). The zampinova pizza was delicious. All this at bargain prices: pizza for $5!
I have to comment on the many bad reviews with similar complaints and I suspect they are fake reviews probably from a competitor. I recommend that you go ahead and eat here without reluctance.

One of a few restaurants where you can (after a little begging) pay without cash. They offer small and regular sized pizza with plenty of options for everybody. Both food and service are without any problems. There is great view on Telč square.
I could say the taste of pizza is very unique n special for Asian, but noodle is sort of no tasty. Waitress actually is pretty kind, but you have to be patient for waiting cuz there are too many guests; however, it’s worth to have a meal there.
It's a very lovely pizza place! They serve some very unique and delicious pizza variations here!
For example I had a big pizza. One half was chicken with cranberry and the other half ham with bratwurst!
And I never had a pizza crust like this!
This place is really worth it to stop by and enjoy a good pizza!

Restaurace U Hraběnky is a charming restaurant located in the town center of Telc. The staff is known for being very generous and kind, providing excellent service to visitors. While there may be a bit of a wait due to its popularity, the delicious Czech cuisine makes it worth it. The tenderloin with mushrooms is highly recommended, and the centuries-old building adds to the fantastic dining experience.
Ate lunch here on 08/27/2024 and had pork with very large dumplings and the best sauerkraut I've ever eaten. Pork was supper delicious, but may even been even better less fennel. The Globus bus trip we were on stopped here. We will come back next time we are near. Thank you for delicious lunch!!!!

Absolutely delicious food! We had Ribeye steak and pork medallions done to perfection! Staff was super friendly and kind especially our waitress Marcela who made our family BD dinner such a wonderful experience. Thank you. I highly recommend this restaurant!
We had salmon salad, roasted vegetable platter, and lasagna and thought all were excellent! The servers were very kind.

Most disgusting salmon tartar I ever had. Don’t order it. It looks old and taste also old. Couldn’t finish.
The restaurant has a really lovely atmosphere. We went there to have lunch and we both had Svíčková with a fresh made raspberry lemonade.
The prices there are a bit higher but still reasonable.
Good food and kind service. The tenderloin with mushrooms was very good.

Švejk Restaurant Telč is a charming spot that captures the essence of Czech dining. Frequented by locals, it offers a delightful selection of draft beers, including Pilsner. Excellent service, with excellent food. I had the “Pork baked with onion and cumin, stewed cabbage, dumpling (white bread) [see upper plate in photo shown below]. (The photo shows another dish below: Mrs. Müller’s Oven-cooked beef with cream sauce [brown gravy], dumplings [white bread slices] and cranberries. We have been traveling around the Czech Republic for a week now. This restaurant serves traditional Czech food, which sometimes can be dry, but this food was particularly juicy and flavorful. The garlic soup that I had was outstanding. Really enjoyed it. The waiter was fantastic.

Oh, do go here! Charming traditional cellar space (I must look up the vintage cartoon character theme.) Happily had the roast duck and rabbit. Beer selection limited but okay. Cash only.
We ordered the duck with dumplings and sauerkraut and chicken with dumplings and mushroom sauce. All was ok except for the sauerkraut - none of us liked it. It was too sweet and had a strange taste apart from the sweetness. We did not finish it. Also, to get a beer, you have to stop the waitor as he has a lot of work and does not notice your glass is empty. The prices are friendly though.
The restaurant is located right in the center of Telč, in an excellent location. Unfortunately, they don't accept card payments, so bring cash. I had svíčková, which cost 245 crowns—too much for such a small town, especially considering that what I received can hardly be called svíčková. The dish arrived completely cold. It was missing the sweet cream, the meat was okay but under-seasoned, and the sauce was completely wrong. Quite disappointing.
Some of the best roast duck I've had anywhere, perfectly cooked with delicious crackly skin that melts in your mouth, served with dumplings and slightly sweet sauerkraut.
For dessert we enjoyed domáci kynuté knedlíky, giant blueberry dumplings with cinnamon sugar over them, planted in a sea of molten butter. Scandalously good! I needed a nap before I could continue driving!
A nice restaurant serving Czech cuisine, speedy service, attentive staff, and delicious meals that might feed 2 people. Also, some typical Czech soups are available as a starter. Try the wild boar with dumplings and cranberries, you won't regret it. The homemade tartar sauce was a hit with the kids.
As I live in Telč I come to this place more often.
They have a good draft beer (Pilsen and others). The food is OK, depending who is cooking. Once in a while I'm disappointed, but I can live with it.
The choice of food is the typical Czech cuisine. But mostly prepared pretty well. Especially the Wiener schnitzel (pravý vídeňský řízek)!
The staff is friendly and, when not too busy, helpful.
In summer there is a nice terrace to enjoy the square.
You can pay by card here.
If you are looking for a good beer and typical Czech food, this place is recommended.
Very bad experience. I went there with two other people. They weren't that hungry. Both of them ordered soup which was pretty good. I ordered goulash. My meal arrived pretty fast. The czeck dumplings were ok but the sauce was so bad I couldn't even eat it. The chunks of beef were discussing and very cold in the center, like someone just unfrosted them in the microwave. I will never go back to any of the Svejk restaurants ( and there are many of those in the czeck republic). I have to say thought, the waitress was nice and fast and spoke enough english. Do yourself a favor and stay away, there are many amazing restaurants in Telc.

I had a delightful dining experience at ZACH Restaurant. The employees were extremely amicable and spoke English fluently. The menu was conveniently provided in both Czech and English, offering an extensive array of meat and vegetarian dishes. The flavors were exquisite, making it worth recommending. Although the cuisine may not be considered the finest globally, the friendly staff compensated for it admirably, ensuring a pleasant visit. Moreover, I appreciated the delectable traditional food served in generous portions along with prompt service.
Have enjoyed a lovely lunch at Zach restaurant. The staff are super friendly and speak beautiful English. The menu is available in Czech and English. A good selection of meat and vegetarian options. Lovely flavours would recommend.

The place was recommended by a person in the info center. I am not recommending it: the waitresses were unwelcoming, and the food was mediocre. I regretted ordering and eating their Telcska Cmunda s Panenkou. The pancakes were too dark, probably because of the overused oil, and the cabbage was on the dry side. Also, the place was full of flies, and the bathroom was smelly.
Food quality does not correspond with the prices charged. Yes, I know Telc is a tourist town and the restaurant is located on the historic town square but still.
The wait staff was great however.
The food is delicious! Be adventurous. Menu is also written in English. The service was on point!
We went to Telč again and it was clear where to have lunch. Here again. The service is very nice and really fast. The food is very good and everything is dominated by the beautiful backdrop of the square.
Cozy restaurant in the main square of Telč, Czech. Welcome and efficient service unlike "At Shveik". Excellent food, a lot of Czeck authentic dishes. Goulash is better than in Hungary! English language friendly!
From my 3 a day stay in Telc, this was absolutely worst restaurant on Telcs square! My review is largely affected by service, resp. it's absence. It was not crowded, but still since very first moment both guys at service were slow, unattentive and looked like guests were annoying them. Originally I wanted some salad but ended just with daily soup and "their own orange lemonade". So soup was good, but lemonade was some over-sweet chemical stuff with rings of orange inside. The fact that you can pay by card only above 200 CZK was just on top of whole experience. Really, choose other 2 restaurants on the square, you will be treated better.
Pretty spot on the historic town square. Tried the Chicken supreme. They put whole breast, skin, bone and all in sous vide. Result, rubbery skin, raw chicken near the bone. Not supreme at all.

Cash only but there is an ATM nearby. Two large pizzas easily fed family of five. Delicious food. We really enjoyed it. About $10 USD per pizza. Great prices and cute town.

A decent restaurant in the historical center of Telč, prices correspond to the locality and the tourist... Wide range of pizzas and "Mexican" dishes. Possibility to sit outside with a view of the square.
You had better make sure the foods they gave you were what you had ordered. Maybe you ordered the pork steak but they gave you the rumpsteak. Somebody cannot distinguish them. At this time, hope you are not Hindu or people of other faith who can not eat beef.
The restaurant doesn't accept payment by cards. The food is overpriced to be honest.
Both ordered burgers were very salty. In on of them there was a bunch of caramelised onion, although we asked to remove it.
Waiter was rude, when we asked to have more napkins, he brought three. Only once we paid, he brought a jar full of napkins.
A modern place, not too cosy but really OK. The choice of food is OK. Burgers, salads, steaks, Mexican kitchen and pizzas. The preparation is mostly good.
Ordering out is possible locally.

If you want a save choice, this is the place in Telc.
Amigo is a modern looking restaurant where you can get Burger, Pizza, Mexican food... and a huge selection of alcoholic drinks and cocktails!
My friend ordered the Pizza Della casa and I had the Amigo Royale Burger.
The Burger tasted amazing! The meat was freshly prepared and even the bread buns for the burger are made by the restaurant!
The waitress was really friendly, it didn't took long at all from the order until we had the drinks and the food.
I can highly recommend this restaurant and I will eat here again!
The burger was very satisfying, the steak ok but the meat just not good enough for the steak to be very good (not that I'd expect much better at this price point really). We asked for both to be served medium rare and they were, not a bit overcooked, which was nice. Grog was better than I expected.
The menu is a pleasant change from the usual Czech cuisine. The craft beer is also good. The location right on the náměstí is great as well.
Now...as to the service..ugh. The waitresses really seem to hate their jobs, and sadly it shows. It was like being served by robots. Also our meals weren't brought out together even though our choices were very simple.

Restaurant Origo, located in Telc, has recently opened its doors in April 2022. Renowned for serving the finest pizza in town, their thin-crust delicacies are topped with fresh ingredients to create a truly satisfying experience. In addition to their pizza selection, they also offer a variety of other delectable dishes. During lunchtime, customers can choose from three different dishes accompanied by soup - a common practice in the Czech Republic.
The best pizza in town! (Telč) The ace has been newly opened in April 2022.
The food offer is mainly pizza, but the best you can get. Thin crust with great fresh topping. Just like a pizza should be.
They also serve other dishes and for lunch they have a nice menu with a choice of 3 dishes and soup (standard in the Czech Republic).
The owner is fine and friendly.
The location is just a few minutes away from the square and one of the main crossings. Not great. But the interior is nice and you can enjoy your food and drink in a nice fresh interior.
For pizza definitely recommended!
And one last thing.... Take cash with you. Unfortunately no cards. As many Czech restaurants now have.

Very good Italian style pizza and a kind and well English speakin’ waitress! (Both traits are unusual in the Czech Republic unfortunately)
The place was huge with a garden that would be nice to seat on during hot summer time. The food was basic, fruit dumplings was of huge portion. Unfortunately the filling was rather small compared to the size of the dough and was too sweet for me. If I saw properly there was a small corner for kids to play. Overall a good place to eat.
Ahh, and one downside is that they did not accept payment by card. The waitress mentioned payment by mobile or internet banking but no card. Or you can also pay by cash.
Very nice and cozy, very good food but the best are the pizzas. I do have one issue, you can only pay with cash. Would definitely recommend
