The food quality was actually amazing! The heart cake was simple yet it amazed me so much. It was soft..fluffy and tasty! We had to wait outside as there was a line to enter the shop! It was Friday at 11 pm, still such a rush! The quality has been maintained! Definitely buy their garlic bread too!

This famous bakery located right inside the New Market area has a large selection of pastries, bakes, cakes and sweets. We had gone there in the evening and the whole market was crowded and full of activities. The staff at Nahoum Confectionery were at the peak of their efficiency, catering to the needs of the customers. It is an interesting shop to visit in Kolkata.

I don’t understand the management of the place. Writing this comment standing in a line waiting for buns when there are racks of already prepared ones in the shop. O don’t understand when there is a huge line and the racks of prepared ones are for the ones who have ordered is not moving, they can give those and replace with the ones that will come. In the end the buns are the same. To too it all, this guy with specs acting all sarcastic telling us how the buns are prepared. Seriously. Guys, standard your game. Don’t put the name of this place to the dogs.

Most items were over by the time we visited (after 7pm, near closing time.) We bought Almond roll and brownie and they were great. Closed on Saturdays. Located inside new market. (We visited in November 2024)

Honest review: it's overrated. There are limited items and it's not like you'll achieve something greater here compared to other bakeries. Tried every item present and yes fruit cake and plum cake were great. The bakery has an old ambience with no seating space. The bakery is situated inside the market towards the left side

I usually avoid giving negative feedback until and unless something is horrribly disappointing. Recently, I tried the Alphonso Mango Sundaze and Lemon Mimosa Mini Cakes from the renowned Kookie Jar, expecting a premium experience given their reputation as one of the city's finest patisseries. Visually, both desserts were stunning. The Mango Sundaze featured fresh Alphonso mangoes. However, the tart itself was underwhelming: it consisted of basic whipped cream with no trace of cream cheese, which was quite surprising for a dessert of this caliber. As for the Lemon Mimosa Mini Cake, while the lemon curd had a good texture and flavor, the cake base was disappointing. It resembled a mass-produced, low-quality sponge Bapuji cake -- something you'd expect from a budget bakery, not a premium one. Is this really what customers are paying for and expecting from such a reputed establishment?

As much as I love Kookie Jar pastries and cakes, had a horrible experience first thing in the morning at the Auckland Place outlet. The Chicken Shawarma had black mould/fungus kind of particles on the Pita Bread. We immediately showed it to one of the in-store personnel, agreed to the same issue and took it to the shop cashier. This person nicely tried to explain to us that it was burn marks because the Pita bread was toasted. We didn't want to get into any argument as we had to rush to the hospital next door. The shop manager even took aside the first personnel from this conversation just because he agreed to the fault in the product. Eventually he even billed us for this product with fungus and mould wrapped in foil. Great way to handle such issues.

Bought two chocolate pastries last Sunday from rawdon street branch . Immediately when we had it we felt it was very dry . We called the store requesting them to have one and check .they took our no and said would call back but that never happened. We called back and were told that they would not check it as it has temperature conditions and once taken out of fridge should be left at room temp for half n hour to become moist and so on . We asked why then we were not told or no instructions were on box . This was do absurd as we have been eating these pastries since childhood and now someone tells us each pastry has to be eaten after a certain time and in so and do condition to get it's right taste . We just wanted to convey to our favourite brand that please check we don't want you to go down and serve the same perhaps to other clients but it was all to a deaf ear I guess .

It’s a classic bakery with ample of delicious bread , cakes and pastries.. They have some savoury and cute cookies that are tempting.. They newly launched icecreams also which was good .. I tried the lemon icecream which I loved it.. Vegetarian options are less compare to Non-vegetarian .. Bit pricey but somewhat worthy..

This is mostly a take-away as there are no tables to sit. This is an outlet busy making deliveries all the time. Chocolate boat, lemon tart, Italian lemon cake were delicious. Walnut honey tea cake was being sold, thankfully, in slices. We ordered a couple; it was delicious and, perhaps, a tad too decadent.

Quality is good. Swiss Roll was too hard can't believe. Very less options for vegetarians in savouries. Their straberry tea cake was good. But must say..too costly.

I bought a Black Forest Cake from Kookie Jar today for my birthday. Firstly, the cake was overpriced (1800 rs for 1 lb), and secondly, it was the worst cake I have ever tasted in my entire life. It was full of water, and the cherries tasted bad because they were not fresh. The staff were trying to sell us a pineapple and a mango cake, which were even more expensive. I have bought cakes from Kookie Jar before, but not this outlet. This one is the worst. I would never recommend or purchase from this store again. Thanks for ruining my birthday.

Just a heads up, there is no sitting arrangement for this establishment. It's a takeaway counter. But as for my order: 1) Chocolate Mousse (₹120) For that price, this is one of the worse Mousse that I've ever had. The quantity was little and the quality wasn't great either. Felt like it was already pretty old and maybe be stale. So for that reason, I'm never going to that place again.

A marvellous place for cakes, cookies, macaroons, tarts, brownies, mousse or cakes. They personalise it too. All the items are of superb quality and totally worth the money. It is a must visit place if you want to try authentic British Bakery. The choclate strawberries unique and delicious.

Make sure you try out the Hazel nut Macaroons. They are super cruchy from outside and smooth like a dream from inside :)

Absolutely cute British bakery to sit and enjoy your desserts in. The cold coffee is great and the cream brulé is so good! The read velvet cupcakes are delicious. The macaroons too cute! The place is tiny and expensive. So I would suggest to try all the minis and then eat the buy the large of the items you best loved.

We tried almost all the pastries. All of those pastries tasted really nice. Cold coffee was good too.

Flurys is definitely a beautiful place with a nice vibe and good ambience. It has that old charm which makes it special, and it’s great for spending some time with friends or family. But honestly, when it comes to food, it feels quite average compared to the price they charge. The items look tempting but taste-wise they don’t really match the hype. It’s not bad, but definitely not worth the premium you pay. So, for me, it’s more of a place to enjoy the atmosphere rather than the food.

Great food. Service is good as well. However, ambience needs improvement. Place feels quite congested at times with very compact sitting.

Never Coming Back! Absolutely terrible experience. The service at this place is a complete disaster — the staff won’t even let you finish your sentence before walking off. It felt like they were deliberately ignoring us. As for the food, total disappointment. The "coffee" was nothing more than overpriced sugar water, the pasta was an undercooked, milky mess with zero flavour, and the garlic bread? Stale, bland, and just sad. We specifically told them multiple times not to add any chilli or spice, and they still covered everything in chilli flakes. When we requested them to fix it, the replacement dishes somehow came out even worse. Horrible food, horrible service, and a complete waste of money. Save yourself the trouble — eat literally anywhere else.

Hear about this very old in house bakery run by Goan owners, so decided to try few items from here last Christmas. We got Chocolate Walnut Cake, Coconut Macaroons, Chicken sausage roll. Brownies and muffins were also available. The cakes were well made and delicious. Recommended if you love home made bakery items. Do note only cash was accepted.

Chocolate walnut cake was amazing. Place runs out of stock quickly meeting demands. Weekends seem to be crazy busy..we were there in eve and was left with very few items to pick from.

A no nonsense bakery, I repeat, a bakery. Don't expect great ambience, but expect a gastronomic pleasure tour. Extremely arrogant staff but bakes out magic. Have anything from them, cakes, fruit cakes, patties anything, hands down one of the best bakeries in town and also the cheapest. Call them in advance, pay them by cash only and get things delivered from them by Swiggy delivery or any other delivery app. I advise against visiting them and getting food from them, but rather get it delivered, but make sure you pay them via delivery partner in cash. Just bear with their attitude because your taste buds will bow down in gratitude, I rest my case.

Located in a narrow nondescript lane in Taltala(Central Kolkata), Saldanha Bakery serves some of the most amazing cakes and other baked goodies in town. I have been there plenty of times and none of their offerings have failed to impress so far. Must order items: coconut macaroon, chocolate walnut cake, rich fruit cake, lemon drop, chicken puff, cheese puff. You have to order in advance and collect your food from the bakery itself.

Pricing is not upto the mark. Shop is good. Employees are very friendly. This cake we can get in other shops gor less than 3K but Mio amore took 4.2K for this.

Awesome tasty chocolate cake with nice design.

I ordered a customized 2 pound Choco-chips and 1 Pound Blue Berry Cake and it was absolutely delicious! The cake was moist and fluffy. The cake was decorated beautifully. I am very impressed with the well behaved staff service.

Pastries and cakes are always fresh, had so many times from Paris Bakery different brunches. Blueberry and white forest both are two best flavors. I have attached both flavours. I have ordered so many times and and always got best soft sponge and fresh cream. Only once I had issue with cake that I have ordered for Red velvet and they have given white forest flavour cake... but once we informed them they arranged a new fresh cake on very next day. I am a real fan of Paris Bakery. More flavours available are strawberry, Red velvet, Black Forest, Butterscotch, Dark Chocolate and many more. Also they do provide customized cake for special days. Not only cake even breads are also very fresh and soft always. They have different types of breads and chocolates also. Chocolates are filled with tasty mouthwatering condiments. Also variety of Ice creams and different types of snacks are available but this place is completely veg, you will not get any non-veg items here. Also they have box packed with fresh biscuits that is freshly house baked. Overall experience with Paris Bakery is very good till the date.

It was a horrible experience. My nephew turned one and we'd ordered a pineapple cake from this store. It was stale and smelling bad too. My niece who ate the cake first, vomited. On complaining about it, they just retracted saying "we cannot help you, the cake we gave was fresh" I am gonna file a complaint against this shop to the FSSAI. This is substandard food quality. Please don't buy anything from here.

I ordered for the very 1st time from JW Bakery and to my utter surprise both the dessert items were tasty to say the least. The Wildberry Cheesecake (fresh blueberry cheesecake with white chocolate coating) and Royal Chocolate (a dark chocolate mousse with berry curd and cake) were delectable. I am not a fan of cheesecakes, could never acquire the taste for it, but I loved this one. It is not overpowering like most cheesecakes yet has everything cheesecake lovers want in their cakes. (4/5) The Royal Chocolate was heavenly and dark chocolate lovers must try it! (4.5/5) 💕

Absolute disaster! Couldn’t find a better words to describe my reaction! Ordered a birthday cake for my niece 4th birthday and have requested for a rainbow cake. They should not have accepted my order when they are not sure how a rainbow cake should look or taste like. Look at the pictures and you all would know what I am talking about. It’s only the outer rim that they have made with rainbow coloured icing. Inside it’s fully chocolate with berries, I expected rainbow layers sponge cake with beautiful frosting… truly disappointed and even the kids did not enjoy the most anticipated item of the night!! Moreover, they charged 1800+tax because it’s a special custom cake! They have offered 10%discount when I expressed my dissatisfaction on seeing it at the time of pick up but am even more disappointed after cutting the cake… nothing more to say…

Bought few cakes from there it’s reasonable and good to have according to the price tag I love their sandwich it’s a go to go have for me and pretty simple and delicious Pocket pinch-200 for 2 approx but quite disappointed with their dessert section it’s too much sugary and not tasty

This outlet of monginis is located in the college street area. Although the price is the same or higher than Mio amore, the taste of the products is not better definitely. Such as their burger contain smashed chicken patty. Which doesn't feel like a chicken burger. But mio offers small pieces of chicken in every snack. Which surely tastes better. I have tasted their balck forest, red velvet, butter scotch pastry, mango mousse but all the items taste was way ahead in Mio amore. Any day I recommend Mio amore over Monginis.

Most worst I have ever visited, staff named "Partha" was so rude and aggressive about his communication, even tried to put hand over customer, reason was at the time of shop closing he was asking double price for the cake and customer told I know the price, so he used nasty slangs and presence of a lady customer..... really recommend not to visit such a counter where customer has no right to say the right thing .....most worst experience ever I have ... really looking forward for a call fromthe owner, so that I can tell him the whole thing... surroundings people also saw what happened with me and my wife ...I was about file a complaint about the franchise but got to know he is going through trouble in family...

This cafe is a spot on for its ambience and even delicious sweet delights. The calm, relaxing ambience over here is just perfect for enjoying some good hot chocolate and breakfast to get you started for the day. Had a good time though and the service was good enough. The staff over here were friendly as well. The price is slightly on the higher side compared to the quantity but the taste was good. Loved the cupcakes here. Overall experience was good and will visit again for sure.

Small, and homely interior. Hot chocolate and marshmallow cupcakes were really good. Though not so friendly and experienced stuffs compared to salt lake outlet. Being situated on a quite road, road side car parking can be done in front of the outlet.

The cafe is spotless and has a laid back vibe . The indoor seating is beautiful. They have an array of baked goods . We however ordered a cappuccino, as far as I can recall it was an Irish or might have been hazelnut and a signature chocolate shake . The aroma coming from the coffee which they served with a cookie was so soothing . I loved the chocolate shake. The quality is top tier , which kind of makes up for the price . They serve excellent coffee but the priciest of the high end espresso drinks . I adored the place's urban feel , located in a quiet , peaceful neighbourhood. The cost for the 2 came down to ₹500 .

The apple pie and pineapple pastry are both superlative. Fresh and moist. The Vietnamese coffee is excellent too. The savouries, I enjoyed the chicken envelope more. The Korean chicken croissant was good too, with perfectly crisp and flaky croissant. Tres leches was absolutely superb..The seating is a bit cramped..service is polite and reasonably fast.

Ambulance was so relaxing and calm. Staff’s behaviour was so gentle and friendly and their service was quite fast and that’s the nice part of them .

Ordered cake delivery for father’s birthday. The cake was not as per order. It did not have the decorations as per original order, and the cake was damaged on the top. It seems they took off the original decorations and gave this damaged piece since this was a delivery order. This bad service was not expected of Cocoa bakery. Seems owners and operations team is mismanaging by accepting orders they cannot fulfill. There was no attempt to contact me and offer alternate solutions. This was served at a party so everyone was shocked at the sub-standard service of this bakery. My family used to be long time clients but not anymore. Partial product delivery but they charged full payment.

Had food poisoning, thanks to their Mexican bean burger. Had small plastics in it which got involuntarily digested and a big plastic which came in my mouth. Called the staff, they apologized and gave me a free burger as a compensation. I took the burger thinking of it as an honest mistake. Sometimes afterwards I started vomiting and then had a acute stomach ache which turned to diarrhea. Avoid this place or ask beforehand if they don't have plastic in their food. Wish I had clicked a picture but they took away the plastic as soon as I complained.

I have tried lot of pastries, cakes and cupcakes from this store but I liked walnut brownies the most.

The cheesecake was amazing!! The Coffee caramel pastry was not that good though. The chicken supreme was not that good, we were rather hungry otherwise we would not have ordered it. I give it a 3 star just because of the cheesecake! Overall the ambience was not bad, yet some customers were complaining about the hygiene of the plates and cups in the background. I'd like to give it a second doubt because I really liked that cheesecake.

The place is newly opened near Padmapukur road ( Bhawanipur ).. The place is clean but flies are friendly here. They also join with you in the table .. Food is good to average not everything is freshly baked here .. Tastes day old .. Brownie was good..

Look I was a big fan of French Loaf, specially for clubbed chicken sandwich with brown bread. That day I was also ordered the same with a Chocolate pastry, a coffee and a apple pie. Sandwich was good, but chocolate pastry was completely rotten. Coffe was good and apple pie was also partially rotten. Moreover only 1 ac working on that day, so it was very difficult to stay there for more that 10 mint. Infact after exit, we felt outside weather was more comfortable. One must re point is, when I was paying bill, beside of me, there was a customer, came to buy something, that man also shouting on French loaf workers that he also faced same thing. One word, this is very disappointing behaviour from French Loaf, Minto park

Wonderful collection for the ones who have a sweet tooth . They have different types of cakes and pastries.They also have some patties and other snacks and a good variety in breads and chocolates . We were the last customer today as we bought a loaf of multigrain bread . The ambience very good . Some items like cakes and patties were still on the counter .Wonder what they do with that .If they are selling this the next day then is it correct for all the items ???

Worst experience for desserts ever! I ordered a choco flake pastry, an apple pie and a brownie via Swiggy. Apple pie was absolutely under done and felt like eating apple jam with extra sugar alongwith uncooked biscuits. It was supposed to be having cinnamon flavour but couldn't even feel a speck of cinnamon in it. Then there was stale tasting pathetic pastry. The only saving grace was the brownie. And the worst part, I paid 30 rupees as packing charges for a flimsy 50p box. They couldn't afford to pack the items separately or use a bigger box, instead they chose to pack the pie on top of brownie....images attached. Absolutely pathetic!

Standard quality of Mio Amore. It is indeed a very good branch. The waitresses are great and kind. Good service is provided. All the snacks ate fresh and renewed every day.

The owner's behaviour is very rude. We were still eating and the owner turned the AC off which is ok but when we told them at least let us go before turning it off, he was like if you have a bill over 500 we will ..... When I told him we did have a bill over 500 then he was like that's nothing we send like 20,000 plus per order. What the hell just turn the damn AC on man I am here to eat not fight with you.I have nothing against Mio Amore or the food quality but against the owner. He needs some manners.

Did you try their fish chops? If not, you're missing on some really good stuff. Also, try their pocket friendly munchies like chicken rezala puff, mini chicken burgers at just 18. I personally miss their cranberry muffins, they stopped making those delicacies, don't know why. 😞

Recently Mio Amore is trying to add on new items at the menu to grab the market trend which are also available on timely manner. The shop owner had a restaurant before so he knows how to deal with customers. Staffs are friendly and courteous in nature. Regarding food quality Mio had increased it's item prices recently but unable to develop it's quality but as it do not have any such competitor at this price range so people have no other choice.

Worst bakery shop in liluah. I ordered a customized cake for my brother which costed me around 1600. It look delicious from outside but when i had a bite, the bread was too bad and the cream was not fresh. Overall it was a bad experience and i will not recommend anyone to buy from My oven Story.

Small and cute outlet of Flurys! Atmosphere is top tier, there are limited no. of seats but that adds to the coziness factor. The iced coffee tasted very watery, which was kinda disappointing. The bakery items and the main course food were of good standard. The place is good for solo customers, given its homely vibe. However, the washroom needs to be more accessible, it is located on the 2nd floor and is only one cramped tiny cubicle.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE DON'T RECOMMEND!!!! 👎👎 I ordered in advance for the English breakfast. It wasn't ready by the time I got there. Chef burnt the fourth bacon and didn't bother replacing it in time. Some waiting staff called anirban clumsily put the toast in the sauce and took 10 mins to bring it afresh. By that time I was done with the meal. Next I asked for kashundi well in advance...they forgot to bring it. Seriously doubting the competency of the staff the shop is hiring. Not sure which hotel management school they went to. Pathetic experience....note while they were polite to acknowledge the mistakes....they were utterly incompetent in basic service.

I frequent Flurrys often since it is close to my workplace. I like the ambiance and the food. Although the quality has been deteriorating gradually it still remains a good old place to hangout with the visitors from outside town. Staffs - amiable, seats - less but comfortable, foodstuff availability - not upto the mark. If you want to buy in bulk do order ahead. Flurrys is expensive. A pastry or a patty or a quiche will cost around 100 INR each. It also sells variety of fresh bread, buns, cookies and such goodies.

This is a sub-branch of the main Flury's shop located at Park Street. The size of this store is comparatively smaller, but is definitely less-congested than the main outlet. Here, you can find an array of top-quality cakes, breads, Patty - Mushroom, Mutton, Chicken. It's located just opposite to the back-gate of the National Library and just 2 minutes walk from Alipur Zoological Gardens. I recommend this shop for its pure quality of foods and regal ambience. 😊

There is a craze about this place, however I thought that their pastries are comparatively expensive and not affordable for a large section of society, if would be great if it could be made affordable for all.

Gave extra star just because of their courteous behaviour and ambience. Had bought cheese cake and coffee bite cake. Cheese cake was only wipped cream, not joking. Highly disappointed after looking at ambience, expected very high of quality. But selling wipped cream as a cheese cake is a first I have ever encountered. Coffee bite cake too was synthetic taste, not fluffy nor freshness. They both looked so appetizing but taste was just opposite. They do have fresh breads and various cookies available at the store. Was so excited to see new bakery in the locality but 2 out of 2 cakes were way too off a quality to try again something different. They must look for a new chef asap.
