Some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had! Definitely try the watermelon breeze if you visit. As for the food, we tried a bit of everything, the Indonesian stand, the Mexican chicken tacos, the sushi platter, and the spare ribs platter. Overall the quality of the food is very good, and the service is top notch as well.

What an amazing find it was.
It is kind of a food mall with different kitchens. We had Texan Nachos, Korean chicken wings, surenamese coco shrimps and profiteroles and a three beer taster plate.
Food was delicious and beers strong😎.
The place has a rustic ambience and lively atmosphere. They even have a live DJ. Music also was surprisingly good.
Only negative is their tedious payment system but they more that make it up with their super friendly service.
We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
Overall a great place, highly recommended.
Twentsche Foodhal is perfect for groups — everyone picks and pays for their own food and drinks. Great vibe and variety!

Great choice of food for decent prices and cozy atmosphere. Downsides: details in design are sometimes not great (ceiling is bit dirty, too industrial and sometimes tears in concrete) and they do not offer regular soda’s, only biological stuff. So don’t expect Coca Cola or Pepsi.

This place had been warmly recommended to us but we will not be going there again. The meal started great and I can recommend the horomaki and beef tataki. The fried rice was just OK but the wait in between the dishes was very long and with very little service. The wagyu, 60€ per 100g, was horrendously expensive for what we received and was served cold which ruined the entire experience. The placement of tables really doesn't allow the waiters to see you and attend to the tables properly, the light is also very dimmed and the ambiance very loud. The lights are so dimmed that our waiter could not see the very obvious red stains on the spoons and had to replace it 3 times before we could get a clean one.
They forgot us for dessert and had to be reminded to bring the menu, we chose 2 surprise desserts for 2 people each: one normal and one for gluten and dairy intolerance. The normal one was a huge disappointment with sorbets and not so nice accompaniments. The one for the dietary restrictions was horrendous though, somehow the sorbets were different than the normal ones (mango, lemon and cherry from clearly different brands than the normal ones even though they are both sorbets) and tasted like chemicals. This was paired with some fruits that were not even ripe. All in all we thought we would get a high quality restaurant but got an overly pricey experience with mediocre food that was way too expensive for what it was and very poor service due to the table placement.

The service was okay.. but not good enough for what we paid.
We chose the chef menu 2 and it came with soy beans (basic), a soup (it was ok), the sushi had a truffle maionese and a kimchi flavour maionese that it was also served in the warm dishes afterwards (warm maionese as a sauce).
The grilled fish had no flavour, the meat dish was ordinary.
We finished with cheesecake and ice cream that didn’t feel homemade, it was supermarket quality.
The music was loud and the waiting time between dishes was too long.
This experience was too low for the high price we paid.
The best Japanese Resto we've ever had in Netherlands! I surprised my husband to dine during his Birthday and he had so much fun with it. We both like the food, wine, sake and the service! Thank you to Shing Yin and Dunya for making my husband's birthday extra special. Kudos to the Chef!
Great ambiance, very friendly staff. My family has come to this restaurant for years and the food never disappoints. For big groups I suggest reserving tables on time, and make use of the Chef's Choice menus. They are easier for the kitchen for big groups, and definitely worth it and easily sharable among multiple people. Love this restaurant. Will definitely come back many times and recommend it to everyone.
The rolls, but most dishes actually, have a lot of sauce on them, making the actual fish hard to taste. The chefs menu is a lot of food, but it's definitely (too?) pricey. Staff is nice. Doesn't feel authentic Japanese, more fusion-like.
They have their own parking on the other side of the road, where there were several places.
This place doesn't disappoint. Yesterday we had the best grilled lamb chops ever. Absolute bomb.
Superb sushi! Even the take-out option is of impeccable quality. If you're in for a delicious treat, than you can't go amiss at TAO.

A true Italian experience! We were very pleased with the evening we spent at Happy Italy Enschede. The pizzas were both plentiful and had a true stone oven flavor. The pasta portions were very filling and freshly prepared. The place is spacious and airy, especially suitable for large groups of friends. The service was fast and the staff was very friendly. The price/performance ratio is also very satisfactory. It is definitely a place I would like to come back to. I would recommend it to anyone who loves Italian cuisine!

This time the food was good and service didn’t spoil the drinks on us this time. The pizza tasted very good and it’s enough for two. The panna cotta is very good but few. The chairs are horrible to sit on and most if not all are unstable and moving. The atmosphere is nice with big murals and an open kitchen. I would advise to go next door for ice cream because theirs is not good.
If you enjoy overpriced disappointment, this is your place. The waiter clearly missed her calling as a grumpy mime, and the service took so long I considered learning Italian to pass the time. The mushrooms on my pizza were sliced so thin they might’ve been hallucinations, and charging full-liter prices for tiny 200ml bottles should be a crime. Definitely not Happy Italy—more like Hangry Italy.
Entering Happy Italy, I immediately felt at ease in the cozy atmosphere. The attentive staff made the dining experience pleasant, offering friendly service and helpful recommendations.
The food was average at best, but the portion sizes are great for the price! I wouldn't recommend the gelato though, you could get better ones at the supermarket.
Overall, it's a charming spot for a relaxed meal with friends or a casual date night.
Good food, but the service needs improvement
We’ve been to Happy Italy several times, and unfortunately, good service has been rare. The staff is often slow and seems unmotivated or unfriendly.
On the bright side, the food is good. The pizzas are tasty and well-made, and the salads are fresh and enjoyable.
There’s a kids’ play area, which is helpful for families, but the playground is quite basic. If you sit near it, the noise can be overwhelming, making it hard to enjoy a relaxed meal.
I will give just 3 stars for a few reasons:
- the food was tasty and it came fast, it doesn’t deserve 5 stars because the quality of the salami was not the best I met, and also not so fresh.
- the lemonade just full of ice and not so much lemons squeezed, only the taste was present.
- the personnel was screaming to each other and that made a not so nice atmosphere to stay and enjoy a pizza.
- the waitress not so implicated and not so friendly.
After all, I apreciated the location, big place and enough tables if you plan to go many people.
The waiting time is very short and they have many waitresses and pizza guys also
Nice place to get a pizza in a very convenient location nearby the station and centrum. Food is good, but a little bit pricey in my opinion (though for the Netherlands, it is quite acceptable), the taste is good but definitely not the greatest pizza, but still deserves a high praise. I prefer to get a pizza and eat at home since the restaurant is quite noisy and there are quite a lot of people usually, so keep it in mind. Overall, a nice place to get some food, but a little bit pricey.
Pizza dough is ok however the ingredients are definitely not fresh. Tomato sauce tastes like the one from frozen pizza you can buy in a supermarket. Portion sizes are big however it's obvious that they result in lower ingredients quality

Verso Cucina Italiana 'd Intenzo offers a stylish dining experience with the option of sitting indoors or in the romantic courtyard under beautiful vines. This is our second year eating there on Christmas Day. It is cozy and very relaxing. There is a set menu but you can also order by card. The staff is friendly and very attentive and like last year we really enjoyed ourselves. Good food, good wines and good coffee. It is easy to reach by car and parking is right across the street.
Around 85,- if you don't drink wine.
Overall the food could use some improvements, some dishes were the same as past year if memory serves me right. But that is not to say it isn't good, for the price it is nice quality food.
I do hope you come up with a new amuse dish because that was not the best, overall the menu went from okay to actually really good.

Exceptional service and good at Verso in Enschede. They accommodated a large group and served a delicious 3 course menu. The food was incredible, definitely some of the most flavorful food I have had.
I had the famous pasta at Verso, flambéed inside the Parmigiano wheel—definitely a showstopper! Their version has a bold twist with Sicilian lemon, which added a strong citrus note. Personally, I prefer the more classic, purely cheesy version without the lemon.
That said, the entire experience—from the atmosphere to the service—truly made me feel like I was in Italy. Authentic, lively, and full of passion for food
We came here with the suggestion of a few local friends for a good dining experience. The service was very good, the waiters were super friendly and nice. However, the food was not as good we expected. We had Chef's 5-course with a variety of antipasto, fish and beef steak and most of them were overall a bit bland. Their signature spaghetti parmegiano was fine but got boring after a few bites, and they definitely need better presentation ( i wouldn't mind the look if the food was tasty). Talking of look-and-feel, the decor was also a let-down as they kind of stuck between the contemporary and tradditional italian restaurant. I thought they needed an update their exterior and interior design. All in all, a well-serviced restaurant but lack of taste, both in food and care for details
Dinner at Verso was delicious. We found the service to be extremely attentive, and the culinary food and the recommended wine tasted excellent. Definitely a place to return to!
Slightly overpriced yet tasty and nicely presented dishes glorifying not-as-expensive Italian and Italian-esque ingredients with style. Really nice terrine. The risotto takes improvement to reach the desired (and rightful) "cremoso" status. The flavor is there as is the venue and service.
First time and definitely not returning! After being sit the menu came 15 min after. Antipasto I chose was delicious and beautifully executed but the others antipasto wasnt that tasty. The other dish, risotto con lemone wasnt smth you would eat again, absolutely nothing special. The rice wasnt fully cooked.
The service was super slow. Waited for 40 min for our second dish. Horrible experience. Kid friendliness is 0. Given the michelin star, I think there are plenty of other restaurants closeby that would deserve it, rather than Verso. Felt so bad because I wanted to surprise my family on my birthday. Waste of money. Totally disappointed.
EDIT: someone from the restorant called us and asked why I left this review?! This is the weirdest thing ever! Sir, the risotto was not cooked. And yes, your child-friendliness is 0, because 1-the noise, 2-the lack of place to change the baby and 3-no food portions for kids.
I would advise people to rethink the choice of eating at this place.

One of the most beautiful and stunning places in all of Enschede. The service was fast and helpfull and the food was unbelievably tasty and you could taste that it was selfmade.
It was a bit hot inside but that could be due to the temperatur outside (about 34°C).
There were some cute tortoise and some fish inside the reastaurant living their best life.
The interior is breathtaking and pictures definetly don't do it justice.
There is a small and lovely second hand shop in the back.

Absolutely wonderful place! It felt we were seated in the lap of nature, enjoying well-made vegetarian dishes. The lasagna was delightful, and the drinks were very refreshing.
The staff were very polite and friendly, adding to the experience!
Maybe due to the dinner rush, it took quite a while for the food to be ready. But the wait was worth it for the delicious meals!

A very unique vegan Restaurant. Great food, amazing atmosphere!
This place is one of a kind. I was amazed at all the quirky little details that have been put in different places to create a truly unique experience. The staff was super polite and answered our questions thoughtfully. The only problem we had was with one of the desserts that either had really thick cream cheese or mayonnaise (!) on top of it so it was just too "heavy" to eat in the end. But I highly recommend the vegetarian burger, it is one of the best I have ever had!
The place is unique, really different with another restaurant. The high tea package is nice to share with family or some friends. But some of the cakes are a bit too sweet. Overall, it’s a good place to spend Sunday afternoon with family.

Sapori e Ricordi is a unique place where you immediately feel at home. It’s a family-run restaurant where people truly care about their guests. From the moment I booked, I was impressed by how attentive they were — asking detailed questions about allergies and dietary preferences, even repeating some to make sure nothing was missed. While I personally eat everything and have no allergies (so all those questions weren’t necessary for me), for anyone with strict dietary needs, it’s clear they would go above and beyond to adapt.
The food is amazing. You don’t order from a menu in the traditional way — instead, you’re served a surprise selection of dishes, each one prepared with clear skill and passion. Every plate that arrived was cooked to perfection: the flavours were balanced yet vibrant, the textures spot on, and the seasoning just right. There’s a freshness and depth to the taste that you can only get when the people in the kitchen genuinely love what they’re doing.
Later in the evening, each of the cooks personally came to my table to check if I enjoyed the food and whether there was anything I didn’t like. That personal connection is something I’ve never experienced anywhere else.
The gastronomic pleasure I experienced here is unforgettable. Sapori e Ricordi is worth travelling for — whether you live in another country or even on another continent, this is a place that will stay with you long after your visit.

Great and very recommendable place to have a nice diner.
I doubt between 4 and 5 stars, but honestly there were 2 downs in our diner here:
1. The vegetarian option is very poor (eg meat replace by eggplan does not win a price and makes the vegetarian
2. We got porkribs, very tasty, but way too salt.
Also the child friendliness on food was low (all really 'adult food')
I would definitely recommend because they really make an effort and are as helpfull as possible.
I went there on April for a date. The place is very calm and nice. The waiter and cook are also very nice, from Italy.
The menu changes depending on when you visit it, and it is fixed.
Ours was a 3 course meal really good, the pasta was amazing, as well as the dessert.

Food was disappointing, Italy was not discovered in the food. Vegetarian option was awefull. Too much money for below medium food. It’s unfortunate but you can skip this restaurant.
Very disappointed. I have been here long ago and enjoyed it a lot, as they used to propose special dishes from Puglia, simple and tasty as they should be. Now there is very little about Italy left, nor the food or the atmosphere. I found the quality of the products very poor in general, pasta "scotta", the sauce not tasty and very little, the dessert ordinary. Prices are definitely too high.
Horrible food ! Do not go there. Our fish was like most food of the surprise 3 menu too cold. We missed any real italian touch even in the flavours. The prices where no way what we are used to in Utrecht for less money....
I was disappointed with the quality of the pasta, as well as not being able to choose the actual dish I was gonna have. The entire table has to choose between 2, 3 or 4 dishes (antipasti, main, dessert) and share whatever the menu is on that day (they don’t tell you in advance). The serving size is good, but a bit pricey for what the food overall.
Excelent restaurant with great atmosphere. The service and the food were great. They even were so nice to accomodate two more people to our reservation at the last minute and prepared special vegan dishes for me. I strongly recommend it if you want to have a special evening with friends, family or a significant other

The food is amazing! But the experience as a whole made it outstanding. We chose the 7 courses with the wine pairing. Each meal was unique and something I have never tried before. Super friendly staff, really knowledgeable and perfectly with their timing. The wine was greatly paired with all the courses of the food. Loved the ambience with it all!

Exceptional Fine Dining Experience at Restaurant Joann
Restaurant Joann in Enschede offers a stunning dining experience with a trendy yet warm and welcoming ambience. The service is outstanding—professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly.
I mentioned in advance that I am vegan, and they created a beautifully crafted seven-course vegan menu. Each dish was not only delicious but also exquisitely presented. The wine pairing was thoughtfully selected, with clear explanations enhancing the experience.
It is a true gem for fine dining enthusiasts. Highly recommended!
What to say, it was a perfect evening. The whole evening I felt as if I was having a moment of selfcare, I was so completely relaxed. Staff is so kind, knowledgeable and relaxed. Beautiful design and I was in love with especially the plates, which combined with the artsy presentation of the food was just an art work. Then the flavours itself were as surprising and fascinating as the dish looked. As if you tasted all it's colours. Very creative combinations and all so different. And I love the emphasis on sustainability, local culture and healthy food. Lots of Michelin out there but this one really deserves it but the people are so humble. Lastly, they have wonderful knowledge about drink pairing, whether it was about wines for my French boyfriend who loves a good wine, or alcohol free cocktails for me - each combination they made with the food just hit correctly!
We sadly had to interrupt our December menu. Thanks again to the staff that reacted so flexible to our situation. Joan is a very special restaurant in all sense: food, wine and staff!!
Good food, but the courses included in the arrangement were served at such a high pace that we needed to rush our wine drinking. This is not acceptable at this price level.
This restaurant used to be my dad’s office when he was still in charge as police officer in the region. Fabulous experience and exceptional food and wines. Highly recommended.

Stoet is a cozy and welcoming spot where you can enjoy a variety of coffee specialties such as Cinnamon Latte or Crazy Caramel, along with delicious treats like Red Velvet Brownie and Lotus Cheesecake. The place exudes a homely atmosphere with comfortable seating areas adorned with paper animals, homemade hanging shelves with green plants, and fresh flower bouquets on the tables. It's located in the Enschede Library, offering a great space for both relaxation and focused work.
It's always nice to have brunch here. Or just a coffee. Although it is noisy inside you still can enjoy your food and time with someone else. Or by yourself. Both are totally fine. The food and drinks are delicious, especially the iced latte and the warm goat cheese sandwich.

Such a gorgeous unique place!
I ordered a chicken toast and wanted it really quickly because I was in hurry. And it worked!
The only problem was the toilet, which was not that clean.
We probably had the best cake ever. The service is super kind and respectful and the atmosphere is just a very chill vintage vibe.

The venue inside the library is very interesting with a lot to explore and cozy as well. Very good service and fair prices (ordered everything in the picture plus another tosti, two coffee and an “easy breakfast” for less than 40€). Tab-Water is for free.
Great place and cheap to especially with how good the quality is! Great value for your money! The best way to describe the place is as a cheaper Frank & Charlie's, and I mean this as a compliment! Very childfriendly, lots of children playing everywhere, so good place to with kids. It's also part of the library and has some study spots with outlets but I don't think studying here would be too productive with all the noise. They also don't allow laptops around lunchtime. I'd recommend the American pancakes and the Chai Latte is also quite good.
Chill, relaxed place for lunch. Nothing gourmet, but great value for money. The chicken wrap and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup are great choices.
It can sometimes be quite noisy, since it's quite popular among families with little children, but usually has a relaxed coffee house atmosphere.
Arrived at 9:40 on a Monday morning, and in a fully empty space was told not to use my laptop at that specific table and that I needed to move. Just add a minimum spend or maximum time (if you really must). Laptop-free rules are obnoxious and should be removed.
Very cozy and aesthetically pleasing cafe. We had the avocado toast and American pancakes. The pancakes have a very delicious mango sauce. Non-alcoholic drinks were included in the concept price, alcohol drinks are extra. 50 Euros per person (this price was valid for Christmas Eve), Normally “All you can eat “concept is 39 Euros. We were very pleased with the food, the service, the smiling and helpful staff. I think it is great that they can provide such quality service and food on a Christmas Eve that was 100 out of 100. Great place to chill with friends, the fried items on the menu are very tasty and fried very well although for some reason the sushi and meat options were tasting similar or the same which i hoped it would taste different from each other as different ingredients were used to make the sushi/meat. We also asked for tap water but the waiter refused and told us we can give tap water if you buy a bottle of wine which was strange but overall not a bad place to eat at a all you can eat but i wish that each item could stand out on its own.
Blue Sakura has been my favorite restaurant in Enschede since 2020! After three years, I went back in 2024, and it cost 29.50 euros per person. The food was tasty, the service was good, and the ambiance of the restaurant was also nice! My favorite dish is the Gebakken zalm. I remember its name has changed, it was called Sake Yaki. But the taste remains the same. Definitely will go back here to enjoy my comfort foods!

Sat here for a drink when all of a sudden some weirdo on the square throws a beer bottle our way. It smashed apart again some glass separator right in front of us which prevented anyone getting seriously injured, but the sound was crazy and everyone realized it could have been much worse. Anyhow. Shocked people and shattered glass everywhere (including on our table). Staff came by to ask what happened, literally looked at all the glass, then left.
After ten minutes surrounded by shattered glass the vibe was long gone so I went inside to tell them that we were leaving and asked them for the bill. I also mentioned there were tiny pieces of glass everywhere (and that they were probably in our drinks too) and recommended to clear the tables around us (to prevent that people would accidentally swallow such a piece of glass).
Worst money ever spent for a drink we didn't even drink for safety reasons.
Not blaming the girl who served us, she was very nice. But when she went to tell her manager, I believe that person should have made a more professional call.

To our shock, we discovered a nail in one of our dishes. This is not only completely unacceptable, but it also poses a serious health risk and violates basic food safety regulations. We expected your team to handle the situation with the gravity it deserves.
Instead, we were offered only a 10% discount, which we found to be an entirely inadequate response to such a dangerous and alarming oversight.
We urge you to take this matter seriously, investigate how this could have happened, and provide an appropriate response. We also expect to hear what measures will be taken to prevent this from ever happening again.
Such a good meal! You usually get 5 pieces per person per round, and you can order another round when things are eaten up, so choose wisely if you're a bigger group, because everyone will be chaising the good food.

We waited for half hour and got nothing. We tried to wave to two waitresses, but they both ignored us. They gave us a drink menu after ordered for neighbour table (who speak dutch), then they disappeared again. Then we left. I do not know is it because we do not speak dutch, or just racist. Very disappointed experience, no more visit again!

Price-quality ratio is great, the food was fresh and tasty, and the staff is SO attentive.

This place is more than a restaurant, is an experience of itself not just through food, but also because of the community. The food was just amazing, served fresh with great plating, looking great and tasting even better. The service was without any flaws, I have never seen waiters working so good in a team and never leave you waiting. They were kind enough to explain each dish without us even asking as they just saw us interested. There was live music, great ambiance, the interior design is great from the entrance until the smallest corner. Such a great attention to details! Absolutely loved it. For four hours I totally forgot which city I am in! Definitelly recommending it!
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
We came to Habibi hoping for a relaxed meal, but the service was absolutely terrible. The staff – especially the waitresses – were extremely unfriendly and made us feel like we were a burden just for being there. No smiles, no basic courtesy, and definitely no sense of hospitality.
What made it worse: we specifically asked to sit outside, as the weather was perfect. Instead of simply accommodating us, they acted like it was a huge inconvenience. They refused to open the outdoor area without giving any proper reason, even though everything was clearly set up and ready. It felt like they just didn’t want to do the extra work.
If you’re looking for a place with good vibes and respectful service, this is not it. I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone

We stopped by last week on a spur of the moment visit. Service was friendly and swift. I had pan-fried chicken with some roasted veg which was surprisingly tasty. The chips were not the best, but perfectly acceptable. Other dishes ordered were the schnitzel, and two pizzas which were excellent.
Best Italian food in the city. Food quality and service are great. Everything is made with the proper amount of spices and baking time as expected from an Italian chef. Also preparation time is good even in the weekly peak hours. Staff are friendly and welcoming. You can sit both indoor and outdoor but outdoor is usually crowded.
The bruschetta was really good and authentic. The pasta and lasagna were creamy and rich, and they gave us extra parmesan. The pizza looked good, so we’ll probably try that next time. The waitresses were very nice and helpful, and left a very nice impression of the place. Also, you can choose what type of pasta you want.

It's not my first hotpot restaurant. You can't compare because each has their own flavors. However this broth was spicy but other than that it did lack any flavor. Natural was like boiling it in water. There was a decent variety of food but most meat was frozen, if you love spices and flavors their sauce options are good. I like good flavored broth more. The tast was very good. You can chose 2 different hotpots and the choice for the vegetables/meat/fish is amazing. There are a lot of different mushrooms and so many tasty sauces. A very original place for dinner in Enschede, we will come back for sure ! Service is excellent.
Really tasty hotpot! There are alot of different things to choose from when it comes to add-ins and the option to make your own dipping sauce is super fun 😊 We had the natural broth and the kimchi broth but the kimchi was definitely the star of the show.
We ordered the mushroom and spicy broth and both were delicious. Enjoyed how we are able to choose and pick up any additions from a variety of meats (lamb, beef, chicken, pork) and vegetables (mushrooms, bok choy, etc.). The hong style fried rice was delicious and for dessert some ice cream and mochi. Wish we had more time to spend in Enschede so that we could go at least one more time. Such a great place to go out to eat in Enschede! I can’t believe it took me so long to go here. The atmosphere is great inside, its beautifully decorated and really makes you feel as if you have traveled to Latin America. The staff are super friendly and talented, they were able to speak English, Dutch, and Spanish. The service was exceptional. Last but not least the food was phenomenal, we had the Culinary Trip Menu and each course was delicious, I loved that they gave you a nice explanation about each dish and where it was typically from in Latin America.

They make the entire menu a whole experience, with nice explanations for each dish. It is so nice to have such an authentic latin experience here in Enschede! They have shrimp, empanadas, tacos, and so much more. Another highlight was the piña colada which tastes better than any cocktail I’ve had.
Carlina’s is a cozy place, with a friendly staff in general. To us, food was more interesting in the beginning when the restaurant was just opened. The ‘journey’ feels like a forced menu. The A la cart option has been removed unfortunately, and not for the better. That makes it very limited. The prizes are way too high for what you get. The drinks are actually very nice.
In the 5-course menu it said that it includes a drink, but according to the waitress, it was a “recommendation to take a drink with the menu”.. which didn’t make sense to us (considering the price). We spend €209 for two people. That feels way too much for what you get.
A bit surprised by all these positive reviews. Charming atmosphere and friendly staff. However, the food was underwhelming. The first two courses tasted like the salad and frozen sections of AH. The last course was alright, but the beef in the stew (best dish) was incredibly dry. I do not think I would have left a review until I saw the final bill. Waaaayyyy overpriced for what it was. The drinks in particular were marked up. 12 Euro cocktails. A 9 Euro bottle of wine was 65 Euro!!

My biggest joy was how carefully the staff took care to cater for my mother's severe celiac allergy. She literally teared up when she took a bite. It wasn't some replacement or similar dish. It was always the same dish as everyone else. Just gluten-free.
The staff was wonderfully friendly too and made sure to make us feel welcome. The entire staff felt like going to eat at my Abuela's. Ill be sure to visit again. Thanks for making us feel at home.

And you absolutely cannot miss the breakfast! It's worth every cent. The selection is huge, and everything is fresh and delicious. It's the perfect start to the day. The convenience of free parking is another huge plus, making the entire experience completely stress-free.

Good if you like that sort of thing. I'd prefer to be closer to the town centre. There are some comfort improvements they could make for anyone who needs to work from their room. Room was quiet and dark at night. Restaurant is good but not really to my tastes. Massive carpark and good access to road links.

We stayed two nights at this hotel in a Comfort Plus room. The room was spotlessly clean – real compliments to the housekeeping staff! Everything looked immaculate and was well maintained.
The room itself was spacious and smelled fresh upon arrival. Thanks to the Comfort Plus package, we had a balcony, which was a nice bonus. Unfortunately, there were no privacy screens between balconies, so there wasn’t much privacy. However, the view over Enschede was beautiful!
The bathroom was also spacious and very clean. It was great to have both a bathtub and a separate shower. The toilet was tidy. One small downside: no toothbrushes or toothpaste were provided, so be sure to bring your own.
We personally didn’t find the beds very comfortable. We had two separate mattresses that were quite soft, and the pillows were far too firm for our liking. To avoid neck pain, I’d recommend bringing your own pillow if you're sensitive to that.
The lobby, restaurant, and bar were clean and nicely decorated. The restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming.
What disappointed us was the front desk staff. They came across as quite grumpy and didn’t make us feel welcome. That’s unfortunate, as they are the hotel’s first point of contact. There’s definitely room for improvement in terms of hospitality – a hospitality training wouldn’t be a bad idea.
All in all, we had a good stay. You do get value for money, though the price is a bit on the high side – but what isn’t these days?
One final tip for the restaurant: the selection of vegan dishes has been pretty much the same for years. It would be great to see more variety and new vegan options added to the menu – many guests would surely appreciate that.
Devaluation of luxury level from the past. Paying now 200 euros for a single room including breakfast was my own choice. But then I also do expect a certain standard. Burping tattoo-boys in the swimming pool and loud conversations in the sauna don't add to that.
If avaliable next time I will go to the nearby Bad Boekelo for 105-130 euros including breakfast. They have a pool and a sauna as well. Little bit less new but certainly well maintained and friendly staff

Of all the van der Valk hotels this one lags behind the quality of the others. Location is pretty much on the edge of Enschede. Rooms are spacious just like all the other van der Valk hotels, however they are rather bare. Some kind of decorative lamp in a corner would make a huge difference. That solves another annoyance as well: lightning. It's all on or off (apart of the bed lights and bathroom). Television regularly freezes because of poor connectivity. Staff gives you a standard answer like "yeah we know and we're working on it" but a week later the problem still exists. Huge prices raises hugh expectations. Breakfast is at par with te other van der Valks: great with lots of choice.

We usually go for the All You Can Eat menu, which can feel a bit pricey with drinks included, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. The fish is always fresh, and the drinks are served well. The staff might not be very experienced, but they are always kind and friendly. The owner really stands out with his smile and the genuine care he shows for his guests, which makes a big difference. On weekends, especially evenings, it’s best to make a reservation as the restaurant is almost always full. Even with so many people and orders, the service is quite fast. I ordered fries. I waited more than 30 minutes, while later ordered fries were served. Turned out that they forgot my order. Guess what they did? Instead of making a proper one, they gather some leftover fries and serve it, yes, those small greasy and super salty ones, which are usually left in the bottom of your fries.
The worst experience ever! I was out with my colleges for a weekend in this club for the first time in my life. I am psychologist from Canada. I have psoriasis on my head and I wear a hat in public spaces. When I was entering this club the security guy asked me to take off my hat which I found disturbing, and even if I said I would prefer not to, he insisted that I must. SO I DID but I was embarrassed because of my psoriasis and instead of a hat I wore my jacket hoody later on. He came to me again and asked to take off my hoody. I asked why and the answer was: "because I said so" ! Then I asked him and who are you to tell me to take off my hoody??? And he throw me out of the club. He seems to have psychopathic and narcissistic trates and I do not recommend no one to go out to this place because of those sketchy- full of themselves - weak - women molesting security.

We were a group of 3 persons and had some nice finger food there but in the end a really bad experience at Paddy's. Someone stole our jackets when we went outside for some fresh air. When we told the doormen about the situation they did not care at all and wouldn't even let us in anymore to look for the jackets. Service personnel didn't seem to care either about their guests' experience. What remains for me as impression is very poor service and lack of customer orientation. Definitely would not recommend to visit this place.

This is the best pizza place in Enschede. I always go for a pizza Parma which is very good.
The restaurant is quite small so you need to reserve beforehand. The service it's okay, because it depends on how crowded it is. Hence, sometimes they might be serving you very late. Usually the atmosphere is good but there are times that it might be super loud if it is very crowded because the tables are very close to each other.
The waiter was really friendly and helpful, but I would say that it was the only positive point. We ordered antipasti for 3 persons and had a plate almost empty… We waited more than 45min to receive our main dishes. My cannelloni were eatable but not extraordinary.
I believe there is better italian restaurant to try here.

This is the 3. times we have come here to eat. But 3 times we got different burger buns and we always ordered the same.
So the first time was a brioche bun, that was sooooo gutttt and the sauce + meat was TOP!!
The 2. time was a little disappointing.. they changed the bun, like white bread bun (?), well it was dry. The sauce wasn't spiced.. but meat was good!
The 3. time (photo under) was ok... Bun was also a different one. But it tasted better than the white one. Sweet potato fries weren't long enough in the fryer, but still good enough. Well the new summer drink wasn't fair with the price. "Passion & Pineapple lemonade" just feel like from bottle and Pineapple was from frozen fruit... 5,25€ i was expecting more.. and the glass is also small, like 100ml + ice. Sad...

We ordered the Mix Grill plate and a Burger. The burger was not that tasty and the Mix Grill was tasty but felt overpriced for what you get. The grill came with just a bowl of French fries—no salad or baked potato on the side, which was a bit disappointing. The portion size could have been bigger for the price. On the positive side, the service was friendly and quick. Overall, the food quality was okay, but better value for money would improve the experience.

It all went good till 10 minutes before we left.from the beginning we wasn’t told that we should not stay more than two hours in the restaurant.no one except the Reception guy understood or spoke a little bit of English. we are tourists was a little bit difficult to understand the items in the buffet at the end came to us. Usually in Chinese buffet it is written above each item what stand beyond, a lot of items was not written anything .One person told us that we must go because we exceeded the time limit and then came another guy in five minutes and told us the same in a very rude pattern. I’m sorry but it is not a problem when tourist who don’t speak Dutch to go to this restaurant. I give the atmosphere and food the biggest rating for a Chinese restaurant but the behaviour of the personal at the end must turn the whole rating to the end minimum
A Beautiful Setting, but the Food Could Be Better
The restaurant has a great location and makes a strong first impression. The design is beautiful, with plenty of seating and a relaxing atmosphere. One detail I really liked was the pond with fish right at the entrance — a nice touch that adds to the overall vibe.
Unfortunately, the food left me a bit disappointed. For €36 (with beer and wine included from the bar), I expected a larger and more varied selection. The hot food section is quite limited, and most of the focus seems to be on the live grill station where chefs prepare meat and seafood on the spot. While this sounds great in theory, I found the grilled food to be overly salty — likely to make you drink more water, and in turn, eat less.
Overall, it’s a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink, but if you’re going for the food, it may not fully meet expectations, especially for the price.

The food is super tasty and have a good amount of options for drinks as well. The interior is spacious and the terrace is the best place to be in summer.
You must try to eat at Loetje at least once when you visit The Netherlands. I was curious if there is Dutch food that is worth trying (aside from bitterballen, kroket, frikandel, patat with humongous serving of mayonnaise, stamppot) and I saw "Loetje" as they have a lot of branches all over The Netherlands. We tried this branch - and the aesthetics of the restaurant didn't disappoint. It has a Great Gatsby/art deco vibe. We are a group of 5 and ordered individual steaks. The steak came in one by one so the steak is already cold as we have to wait for everybody to get their order. It would be nice if the order was given all at once (at least the steaks). And since we are a group of 5, we got a whole white loaf of bread stacked on one plate instead of putting some slices on each plate. The steak is okay - just okay to try at least once. The steak is swimming in a pool of salty butter gravy. Overall, Loetje is nice but their steak plate goes straight to your heart so eat with caution. The employees in the Enschede branch are nice but we had difficulty catching their attention as the place is a little busy when we dined there.
Don't go here if you even remotely love food. My steak was largely raw but the waiter insisted it was medium-rare. Besides that, all flavour was drowned out by the ridiculous amount of gravy they served with the dish.

We indicated to the waiter that the steak was not to our liking as it was still largely raw inside. He then told us this is what medium-rare is supposed to look like, which is patently false. After some back and forth, we did send it back and got a steak that was at least rare.
I just find it very weird that the line cooks are unable to grill a steak medium-rare if that's the only way you make them. And if a customer raises an issue, you do not gaslighting them into believing this is what medium-rare is supposed to look like.

Huge and cozy restaurant immersed in a beautiful park. The atmosphere is truly attractive and service is ok. The menù has a selection of meat based(steak, hamburger), fish based (salmon) and veggie products and a good selection of alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks. Unfortunately the food we tried was not the best. Good the lotje soup and hamburger is acceptable while toasts and fries should be improved. The oil used for the fries give them a strong retro taste of old or overfried product. The backed mushrooms were not worth the cost since it’s a little plate with few precut champignons from supermarket rather than fresh mushrooms. Coffee is too watery and we had stomachache after drinking it. The good and bad aspects are the reason for my 3 stars.
This is a fancy place for a nice dine in experience. All dishes are skillfully crafted and is equally delicious. The staff is really kind, polite and attentive. The interiors and cutlery is top quality. The location is super close to the station, if you have to catch a train and has an amazing backdrop of volkspark, for an after dinner walk :). One of the best location in the city.

You have to eat here! This is the right place either you want to do a romantic dinner with your other half or you want to gather friends or colleagues for a wine tasting. We were on the first option and had a great experience. The chef's menu with wine pairing was great. The food was balanced and proportional to the number of dishes. We had to compliment the chefs. The wine pairing was excellent and the staff made sure to explain each wine with care. Definitely a place to come back. I was thinking how to make the most positive review of our experience there tonight but it’s certainly not a place we would go to any time soon. Tonight we ware a group of 6 and ware placed in the veranda. Looking around we noticed the windows ware very dirty with bird poop and other dirty stains, dustheap’s and as it wasn’t bad enough the windowsill ware covered in dead flies, not a few No ! literally groups of tens. We attended the waitress and instead of cleaning things up of asking someone else to clean it up she pointed us to another table. The food is mediocre and nothing a foodie would call real tapas.
Seated at the new table we and people at close by tables got hit many times by the waiters with the serving trays, we told the waiter that 4 times is more than enough and another time we would show him how it is to he hit in the face with a serving tray. The really ruin once appetite go to the toilets and see that no one ever really cleaned there or scrubbed the tiles or floor as the tiles all have dark brown corners and it had a smell of an old abandoned building. Not a place where you can expect good food and a well oiled team of waiters, amateuristic and actually not even caring is the attitude. As we left I took a peak at the windowsills of it was cleaner or not, but I knew the answer already.. ofcourse the flies and dirty erea wasn’t cleaned.
The food is good, but you wait for a really long time. Food comes with super small portions, so you wait for 10 minutes for one dish, eat within 30 seconds, and wait another 10 minutes for the next dish.

This is my first time give a bad review, because I and my friends all got stomachache and went to toilet several times just after one meal at this restaurant. We did not sleep well because of that! The experience was terrible. Every time we order something, we had to wait 25mins for that, even longer. When we got the food, we found the meat like salmon, pork, steak were cold!! I don’t know how you cook them? Microwave? We won’t come here again and won’t recommend this restaurant to anyone!

After shopping when you need coffee and cake break, delectable snacks or to sit down in a cosy atmosphere, this place is just perfect. It is located in a busy shopping area of Enschede, with friendly staffs, beautiful interiors and an open air dining patio ( for smokers) , so lovely in summer. Their egg omelette is perfect for breakfast and the apple tarts is perfect with a cup of cappuccino. They have a complimentary mini muffins, too, when you order coffee or tea.

We were 3 friends sitting outside next to a beautiful tree and isolated from the noise of the city center. Never seen a single waiter serve this many people with food and drinks this calmly while staying absolutely positive, friendly, and aware of wishes. On top of the great service, the food was simply on the point! Delicious and served warm! The presentation did not feel fake and staged at all but it was clear that the team in the kitchen truly cares about the culture of their dishes! The food is alright and there is a nice atmosphere. My boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary dinner. Everything went okay until we wanted to order dessert. We waited for more than half an hour but to no avail. Some waiters even looked in our direction but failed to notice our gestures. Then when it came time to pay the bill my boyfriend rounded up the bill with a euro to make it easier to receive change. The host there misunderstood and gave us too little change back. He then responded negatively while it was his mistake. It's a shame all of this kind of left us with a sour taste in our mouths, and that despite the pizza.

The ladies are very welcoming and offered a great and helpful service. The buffet selection looks small, but the quality is really incredible!! Next to the items at the buffet, they bring you bread, potatoes, Menemen and Eggs with Sucuk. I genuinely enjoyed every single item I tried it and it was a tasty experience 😋
Tea, Coffee, and soup are also included in the deal but other drinks cost extra. We additionally ordered orange juice and it was the best (it seemed like it was freshly squeezed).
In the end we had full bellies and will certainly be back again :)!

Good breakfast good environment
We where there for breakfast. This was our first time, but it was a very nice experiance. They have everything you need for a very good breakfast (all you can eat). Like menemen, egg with Sucuk, they even made bread without sesam as my wife is allergic. Tea as much you can drink. Only softdrinks you need to pay extra. This all for about 16,00 per person.
This place deserves a solid 4! Such an authentic experience of food and people. If you love Turkish cuisine, this all you can eat brunch is for you!!

I am attracted to these kind of places. There was some kind of art exhibition that caught my interest. After that I had some very lovely vegan food. I am a tourist in Enschede. What luck I found this place.
Great venue with vegetarian and vegan dinner every Tuesday and Thursday. Open for workshops and art exhibitions. Good ambience, super cheap beer and a give or take space where you can find many useful things for home.
Everybody is welcome and is an excellent option for expats looking to be part of the community in Enschede.

Some employees here are, as the name suggests, "special" in the sense that they need special work and special supervision as they cannot have a 'normal' job for mental reasons. This in itself is not at all a bad thing, but it is certainly something to keep in mind. However, when I was leaving I heard the staff talk about me in a rather negative way (2 meters away from me, mind you) which left me leaving with a bad feeling.
The food was good, although it took long to be served. Table service is the supposed way to do things here, but you might have to go to the counter and order things yourself due to formerly mentioned reasons.

Great fried meatballs! I can recommend frikandel oorlog (engl. translation meatball war) with peanut butter sauce. That sounds disgusting but tastes amazing. The best sausage/meatball by itself is picanto. It has some paprika/chili spice to it.

I love de muur patat in Hengelo so when i sometimes come to Enschede i get patat here.
However, i called them today to ask what time they close and one of the staffs( it was a woman) just hung up!! Because i asked them in english. Such a shame ! So i even tried to explain in Dutch too but in the moment i was trying, she hung up!

Very good steak! The staff is amazing, they remembered from the first moment that we were an international group and always talked to us in english which was highly appreciated. The food was rather fast but delicious. I must say that the plating looks very good and appealing. The prices are definitely on the higher side but i would consider it reasonable when you consider the setting, atmosphere and also the serving. Overall a good 9.5 out of 10.
Owh as a final thing, deserts are also a must! They look amazing and taste even better!

Our experience at El Gaúcho was flawless from start to finish. The meat was juicy and perfectly cooked, the portions were generous, and the presentation was stunning.
The dessert was a showstopper, beautifully served and incredibly tasty!

Based on the reviews, I decided to eat at this restaurant. I wasn't disappointed. Right from the moment I entered, I felt that this choice was a bull's-eye. The atmosphere inside the place is amazing. The service is perfect, the waiters really do a great job there.
The decor and cleanliness of the toilet are at the highest level.
As for the food, it was pure poetry. The steaks were exactly as done as I wanted them to be. Delicate, melted in your mouth and the taste was simply perfect. There was a wonderful note of rosemary in them.
The ribs were very tasty and fell off the bone without any problems. Plus delicious fries and a very good salad.
I am convinced that I will visit this restaurant again and again.
To drink, freshly brewed mint and mohito. Both positions felt fresh and natural, no chemicals.
Something beautiful, I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone who wants to eat truly delicious food, in a perfect place, with great service.

Coming from the USA, visiting Enschede and I can honestly say this is a must-go if you're a steak lover like me. This Argentinian restaurant in Enschede downtown is fancy but not expensive, and the food was superb. Both the Ribs and the Black Angus Ribeye were cooked to perfection, Ribeye was very tender, marbled, perfect temperature as I ordered (medium rare). And I need to add that sometimes in the USA, they add too much seasoning on the ribeye (black pepper) and too much bbq sauce on the ribs and it destroys the flavor of the meat, that's definitely not the experience here, perfect seasoning too.
I personally recommend adding a side of chimichurri to go with the steak.

Steakhouse in the center of Enschede. Now this is really good. As a starter I had El Gaucho's Carpaccio which was pretty good. As a main I had El Gaucho's tenderloin which was really amazing. It was accompanied with fries an salad. All very well prepared. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The prices are pretty fair for the quality you receive.
If you love steaks, this is your place to be!
Really delicious food, dessert and cocktails. Excellent service and really neat restrooms. Everything is worth it. If you love desserts, I recommend you the “chef’s choice” it has 4 small desserts YUMMMMM!!
Absolutely amazing! From start to finish our experience at El Gaucho was incredible. The drinks were fantastic and both the starters and mains were delicious! Steak was so tender and cooked perfectly. The desserts that followed were also great!

Surprising Italian find in the middle of so many restaurants in the church square, great Dutch starters, carbonara was good but a bit short on the pork bits flavor, Tiramisu was so good we came back just for desert the next day even in the heat.
Regular food, small sizes, would definetly not recommend to take the spaghetti with salmon. Way to salty and smokey.
Perfect for a weekday dinner - nice outdoor seating, big portions, and a decent choice of drinks.
The pasta is really the star of the show here - go for the medium one that comes with bread and a small salad. Other dishes fall a bit short for the price, but are still an okay choice if pasta is not your thing. Desserts can safely be skipped - but you'll be full from the pasta anyway.
Overall a decent mid-range Italian, great choice for a not-too-fancy dinner in Enschede.
Nice restaurant with really good ambience. The food is pretty good. If you like creamy and very cheesy pasta's, this is for you. Their tiramisu is also really good and right sweet. Try to a big table if you are a group and here for dinner. We are group of 5, and it was really hard to fit all food on one small table. Nevertheless, we all enjoyed it to the fullest 🙂

The food is always fresh and the waiters are very friendly. The Gin tonic with berries is a must try and their Pesce is our to go dish, my advice is to always ask them to make it a bit spicier if you like spicy food like I do. For vegetarians I’d definitely recommend their salad with goat cheese or the vegetarian lasagna ❤️

De Kater is a popular spot, especially during big football nights. By day, it's more of a brasserie than a bar. Just across the square by the church, you'll find Copa Cabana, which has a Latin vibe and focuses more on food than drinks but can still liven up after dark. In the cozy side streets of Enschede, there are trendy cafes offering delicious food and drinks. Visitors have praised De Kater for its great coffee and wide selection of drinks.
I've been here three times, for both lunch and dinner. The service was a bit slow, maybe because they had a lot of guests. The dishes were delicious, especially their kipsate! The chicken was juicy and flavorful. It's a perfect place to enjoy nice weather in the summer. Highly recommended!

Got there early and had the chance to listen some Latin music. After 2 am it got really crowded but it only lasted like 40 min.
Early in the night, there were mostly women and then later in the night mostly men.

We ordered pizza and it was awful. We do not recommend this place. especially the vegan pizza was disgusting. the dough has a very weird texture and you can’t even slice it. We expected more, as the pasta looked nice, however the pizza is the worst i have ever eaten.

The food here never disappoints and great vibe / atmosphere.
I visit Fellini (dinner or just drinks) for more than ten years now, since they exist. I always loved the place. Nice atmosphere, DJ on Fridays and Saturdays.
But there are a few things I have noticed recently that really bother me and just make you feel anything but welcome:
- We expected to be a group of 6 to 8 people but when ordering the first drinks, there were only four of us at the table. We had to tell how many we would be in total 'because the system needs to know that'. What?!? I have never heard that before. Fine if they count that silently, but when they ask this question, you feel like they are afraid that you run away without paying or something like that. So the first welcome felt like 'we don't trust you'. I was actually too flabbergasted to take the decision to go somewhere else.
- Right before 23.00 they asked us to pay because they is no services at the table anymore. 'Get your next round of drinks at the bar yourself.' Fine. I get their point and why they work like this. But a bit more friendly would also work.
- At that moment the payment machine is presented. To be quick, the amount to pay is ready on the screen. I was going to ask to add a 10 euro tip to that but never got the chance to do so. Ok, so I cannot tip? Why not? Do I look like I don't do that? They make you feel very uncomfortable again.
To conclude: In general, it's pretty difficult to make me speechless, but their rude way of communicating definitely did. I also realise now that I have only seen annoyed staff (who's working there for several years by the way), none of them smiling or being friendly to the customer. Very uncomfortable experience.
The food was delicious and well presented, we did not have to wait long for it. The wines matched the food, and there was a good selection to choose from. They also had friendly and helpful staff. The only downside for me was that the place was very busy and grew even busier over time, with matching noise as well. The restaurant transformed into a club over time.
Place looks fancy but service was awful, we kept being ignored and drinks took ages to arrive. Then our group wasn't given a table so we awkwardly had to stand at the bar, which resulted in the waiters getting angry at us for standing in the way, even though we had no where else to go. Will definitely not return here.
The cocktails are okay, but the service and management is pure garbage. The waitress tried to kick us out of our reserved table after we just sat down for 1 minute. Mixing drink is apparently very difficult for a bar cause it took ages. It took more than 30 minutes to give us a drink that was already done and on the counter. The bartenders are very unfriendly and do not care about the guests (especially the male one only cared about female guests and left every other guests order out of his brain if he had one, very unprofessional). The menu also is very outdated, pictures didn’t match with what they have. The atmosphere was also very bad and awkward, the music was unnecessarily loud, no one seemed to want to dance to this trash. Not recommended, never coming back again!

The restaurant Steakhouse Goody's Enschede offers delicious food and has a pleasant atmosphere. It is a great place to have dinner with family and friends. However, the staff can be a bit annoying as they frequently interrupt conversations to ask if more drinks are needed. Despite this, the restaurant is popular for its tasty dishes and friendly service. The establishment was able to accommodate a last-minute reservation for 16 people arriving from abroad at different times, resulting in a perfect evening for all guests.
Really good restaurant. The burgers are fantastic and you can always ask for more fries and salat without surcharge. Sometimes it is a little lound in the restaurant but in the Netherlands you are used to that.

Food was really good! I got the wishbone steak, hands down the best steak I have eaten in ages. My partner got the mixed grill and it was really tasty aswell. Chicken was tender and flavorful, not dry at all. Lamb was cooked to perfection.

The Steaks And varkenshaasje were Great quality. The Service could be a Bit More friendly and the fries & salad less McDonald wise... the open kitchen has as disadvantage that it was smelly... But the Chocolate dessert made up for all of this.

Even though it must have been a nightmare for them to keep track of it all, we all had a perfect evening. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice, it could not have gone any better. Just amazing.
I had a great time. A big steak that isn't over done is hard to find nowadays. I came with a friend who recommended the place and I'd be lying if I won't be happy to pay that tradition forward. That said, it was bound to get better with the next time as I'll be the person to take someone to enjoy a nice meal.

Really fancy looking place, was really impressed by the decor and just the general vibe of the restaurant. We had the butter chicken and the gyoza meals, they all come with their own respective sides (so fries and salad). The food was good and relatively well priced considering this is a more high end place. Humphrey’s is right in the center of Enschede so there is also plenty to do after you’re done eating. Overall a nice dinner experience.

Very friendly service but a bit slow. Food is average, if you serve mixed grill it should not be 50%+ carrots with potatoes and a few pieces of meat. Fried salmon roll was better.
Great spot in the town center, service was impeccable - even on a very busy evening the drinks (delicious Cocktails) were served quickly. Outdoor in November was totally fine thanks to overhead heating and blankets readily available.
I've been to Humphry's in Enschede a few times. If you're looking for something with a bit more imagination--then this is the place. There are many restaurants in the Oude Markt. I like Dutch food and sometimes, I'm looking for something a bit different. I love the spinach quiche & the green salad & my husband loves the Dahl & the bruschutta.
The food is fresh, the service is good, and it is a lovely venue with patio & indoor seating.

They made a little mistake with giving me a plate for another customer with the meat cooked very well done. They alerted me of their mistake themselves after I ate a few bites, and gave me a new plate with proper medium cooked meat in record time. A big plus for their professionalism in solving this.

Good ambiance inside, nice terrace outside, nice location in the city center. Sadly the standard of food is not up par with other Humphreys. My Wagyu beef order was overcooked twice! For a meal that costs 6.95 extra on top of the regular price that is unacceptable. Furthermore our desserts took a long time to come out, and by their own admission they had forgotten us. In the end we were compensated by not having to pay for 2 cocktails.
We had dinner at 1700, ao there were not a lot of customers. They have a fixed price menu, but it was no problem to only eat a main course. All 3 dishes were amazing!

I've tried several restaurants in Enschede and was pleasantly surprised with my experience at The Saloon this week. The atmosphere is fun, service was outstanding, and my meal - pretty darn good. My only complaint is that the salsa is too bland but maybe Dutch taste buds can't handle anything more spicy. Be sure to ask to heat it up if you do like spicy. Met the owner - made us feel very welcome. Will definitely return!

First visit here while being in Enschede. The Steak and empanadas were both very good. The sauce together with the steak was also awesome.
There were also a lot of fries to go along. The portions were very large and I could not finish all but that is positive.
All in all very good as the prices were also absolutely fair to the steaks.

Only stopped for a coffee but was very happy with it. Nice round flavor, well prepared and available in decaf. The various bagel options sound very good. Staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is very nice with a wide variety of smaller and larger tables and some facing the window, where also some magazines are places. Menu is available in Dutch, English and German.

The moment I enter Bagels and Beans Enschede, I always get welcomed by their passionate workers. You will be greeted when you enter and even when you leave they will wish you a nice day.
I believe service is a important point which makes you enjoy your meal even more.

Absolutely lovely café with really delicious bagels! I had the Bali Bagel and my girlfriend took the aardbeienjam bagel with strawberry jam and vegan cream cheese. Both were soo good!!
Also the bagels are quite cheap for what they are.
The people working there are also super Friendly. I loved the atmosphere inside but because of the good weather we could sit outside, which was also really neat.

Very friendly staff and the bagels were amazing. They have a great variety of bagel combinations and the menu is available in dutch, english and german. The matcha drinks were very good. I can recommend the Japanese style bagel, the wasabi mayo is not that spicy so it's perfect. And the salmon was of high quality. Loved it ✨
In a word "Uitstekend!!" After a couple of hours on the road we chose to stop here because we had experienced several other B&Bs during our road trip through The Netherlands and whilst they varied a little, overall each was consistently good.
We are so pleased we stopped here as the staff are exceptionally friendly, the flat white and hot chocolate excellent and the Bagel Toasti - superb!
Well worth the detour away from the Highway as we were able to leave our car in secure parking and stretch our legs on the short walk to this fabulous Coffee & Bagel spot. 10/10

The food is always really good here! It's not that busy, so you get service quite quickly. The staff is really friendly and helpful. When I asked what kind of coffee they used, they told me the brand. I recommend this place for lunch!
