Absolutely Incredible Experience! This place is an absolute gem right in the heart of the Arenal (beach promenade). The location couldn’t be more central, making it a perfect spot to meet up with friends or start a night out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric—great vibes, fantastic music, and a warm, welcoming energy that makes you want to stay all night. The food was delicious, the drinks were top-notch (seriously, some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while), and the service was spot-on. The staff are super friendly, efficient, and clearly love what they do. But what really set this place apart was the manager. He left such a lasting impression—genuinely one of the most welcoming, attentive, and personable people I’ve ever come across in hospitality. He made everyone feel like VIPs, and you can tell he’s fully on top of everything happening in the venue. Can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

A Must-Visit in Arenal! Amazing spot right on the beach with great vibes. We danced to some salsa music while waiting for our food and drinking some Sangria. Delicious food with a choice for everyone in the family; from curry to burger to Paella. Will go back!

Great pizza with a view – Chabada, Jávea I had the pepperoni pizza, and it pleasantly surprised me – slightly spicy and full of flavor. I really enjoyed it. I also had a mojito, which was very tasty as well. The whole experience was topped off with a beautiful view of the beach and relaxing background music. A great spot to unwind and enjoy good food.

Fabulous Food This was a great find for us and we all enjoyed eating here. I personally had the paella and it was great. The view was perfect & the fact we were able to eat on the terrasse was also super.

We went here for lunch yesterday 26/09/25 having a lovely day on Arenal Beach. What can I say the food was absolutely gorgeous. The waiters were very quick asking what drinks you would like. They left you to peruse the menu at your leisure. We ordered a Chabada salad, calamari Roma & patas bravas. We had 2 pints of Heineken. The food come out about 20 mins after ordering and the portion sizes were excellent. The staff checked on us to see if everything was ok which it was. The bill came to e41 euros. Wow. We definitely will be going again. It was extremely busy one of the busiest on the front so that tells you something about how popular it is.

Fab seafront restaurant in centre of beach. Prime position but reasonable prices- no wonder it was packed. Lunch for two - €25 and great food. Didn't include drinks as I was driving but quality. Nice friendly atmosphere and great service. What more could one want and only 50m from my sunbed!

La siesta could be a top Ibiza style location in Javea; with its amazing decore, 2 large bars, different dinning and lounge areas overlooking the Mediterranean sea. We went for dinner and waited to get acknowledge for at least 15minutes. They weren’t even full. Super slow service but at least friendly. The food tasted good and so did the drinks. Still a place to stop by while in Javea.

Very beautiful place on the sea. Nice breakfast but not many options and looks very minimal. The waitress's service was the worst. She made faces that she didn't feel like working. This is the only place with service that doesn't suit the area.

I’ve been there 2 times, first time both food and drinks (beer) were delicious but second time food was much worse than before, we asked for medium well steak and we received medium. Also Patatas bravas had different sauce than the first time we were there. I don’t know if the cook was different or something went wrong but we are sure that next time we’ll get only beers there.

Great family run place since 1965 in Xàbia, Alicante. Menu of the day with a choice of starters, main and desert or coffee for 22 euros is excellent valued for money. Big portions and fresh seafood. I had Mediterranean Salad, Swordfish and Cortado! Highly recommend

Stopped here for breakfast with a few pals. Beautiful views across Javea beach. Breakfast order was taken and arrived in good time. It was delicious. I would definitely will pop back again!

Very expensive and not worth it. Service was lackluster and despite our request (and plenty of free tables - which remained empty during our visit) we were seated inside. Paella had barely any meat. Will not visit again for food ❌

I used to really love this place, but I feel like it has changed quite a lot. The portions seem so small, like half the size what they used to be. My family likes to eat starters and share everything. We needed way to many too actually get full (and we are not big eaters) and not for a cheap price. This was not like this on previous years. Overall, quite disappointing that this is how it is now; the food is truly delicious but the relationship price/quality is not worth it :(

Very welcoming, we arrived with no reservation on a busy lunchtime and they were couldn’t be more accommodating Food was very nice not exceptional but then again the prices were reasonable. It’s a fabulous location. The views are outstanding and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Today was my wife’s birthday celebration, we booked off the back of the reviews, unfortunately we were quite disappointed. The various courses came out at vastly different times, everything was disjointed, the food was ok but not worth the prices. It was supposed to be an amazing experience but really didn’t deliver. I had a little moan and received a bottle of Cava on the house but really that didn’t compensate of what should have been a very special evening. I think the price should represent the service and it absolutely didn’t. I would think wisely before paying premium prices for mediocre service. Very disappointed! Sadly!

We went on a quiet night at the start of the week so got a table easily. Service was perfect. I had Lamb 2 ways: charred grilled loin and its skirt Wellington-style with crushed artichoke and avocado, which was lovely. To follow our friend recommended Torrija (home made french toast, with raisins and ice cream), so all three of us had that. I've eaten many delicious desserts and lots of lovely french toast, but that was delicious - just mentioning it makes me want it again now 😊

Great place with nice interior, fresh food with unusual combination of flavours, outstanding service. We didn’t ask the name of our waiter, we only know that he is from Venezuela. Hats off for the perfect welcome 🤗

Service could be quicker but the food is incredible. I enjoyed every dish. Nice interior design of the restaurant. The second floor tables between the windows are pretty at daytime for a nice lunch. They have both a la carte as well as a tasting menu.

Fantastic, good value set menu for lunch. We’re happy to change one of the courses we didn’t fancy. Excellent friendly service in both English and Spanish. Good wines at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

As a local, I’ve tried a lot of restaurants in town and this was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had. The lobster rice was incredible — rich, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. Our waiter Osama was fantastic, super friendly and really knowledgeable about the menu, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for authentic Spanish food in Jávea, this place is a must — especially for the lobster rice! 🦞

Great dinner here tonight. We went all Spanish - gazpacho, carpaccio of beef, paella mixte, créma catalan and a Spanish pastry dessert Pina colada and sangria drinks. We were even given a mis en bouche of a little jar of soup which was delicious. All food was delicious, well seasoned and lots of it. The staff were attentive and amusing too. We will be back as soon as possible and can’t recommend La Fontana highly enough. And it was very busy considering it’s midweek.

Really enjoyed La Fontana during our stay in Xabia. The location on the port is great, just by the promenade and right next to the statue of tennis star David Ferrer which is a nice touch. Food was excellent – I had the seafood paella and it was one of the best I’ve tried in Spain, rice cooked just right. Service was friendly if a bit slow at times, but honestly worth the wait. Prices are fair for the quality and the view. Would definitely come back again.

First time customer. We found a lovely place in the sun and food was excellent. Our waitress Teresa charming and fast. Wine was good too. Very happy customer. Oh and , Glas of wine €3.60. Amazing.

Food was tasty but more cold than warm. I had to ask for salt as no condiments were offered. He seemed like he could not care less. Never asked if everything was OK with my meal. Never got offered a desert or asked if I wanted one. I'm very disappointed. I have come back to this review as that same evening I had the most awful food poisoning. I believe it was the meat that caused this and I was violently sick over 10 times throughout the night and early morning. I do believe the meat was reheated and then left to get cooler again and this may have been the cause. My friend and I ate and drank the same all day apart from the evening meal when I ate on my own.

The food was fantastic and the best we’ve had in the region - fresh and with flavor. But the service lacks care and personality. It was adequate service and nothing more. Unfortunately the British and expat clientele in the region have significantly lowered the standard at the Spanish coastal. This is a tourist town and it seems there is little incentive to deliver good service if there will not be repeat customers.

Visited this mid-way through our holiday (August 2024) as reviews looked good and lots mentioned good service. We had a great 1st visit there (I had fish with mussels - pictured) and it was great. Service was very good and very friendly/attentive staff (more so than any other restaurant we visited) - so much so we returned for our final meal of the holiday and again were not disappointed. Sea bass (pictured) was lovely. We had a table right on the promenade each time which made both visits even nicer. Would highly recommend. Book ahead as it can get very busy.

I wish I didn’t have lunch here. A near spoiled fish served at beach (most likely spent months in the freezer). Poor service as well. The waitress did her best but the experience was bad. You won’t expect to find a place of this poor quality in Xàbia.

They served me an old fish, all brown and smelly. When I complained the manager was very professional and I just finally paid what I consumed. However, it’s sad that in such a wonderful location they don’t serve fresh food!

Was there for a friends pre wedding drinks reception the night before. Fantastic setting and great service with drinks and canapés. Definitely go back when next visiting.

The worst service possible! We sad down at a free table at the terrace with no sign on it. The waitress first asked what we would like to drink or eat and after that she said; One moment please. 3 minutes later a guy comes to us and said that the table was reserved for paella dinner. We only could sit in a spot in the shadow and no other table was offered to us even there was plenty of space at the terrace! What a terrible service at Montgo di Bongo! Arrogant people there. Than the bigger La Siesta is much better and friendly to clients. No recommendation to go to Montgo di Bongo.

Just such a lovely place to watch the sunrise, chill or have a meal/snack during the day or evening. The views are to die for.

Have to be honest and say we normally go to the Siesta Bar on arrival and then rarely visit again in the weeks we are here. BUT hold on, went next door today, sat at a table on the beach and enjoyed a lovely relaxed lunch, you need to be patient with the service when busy, if you don't have your order off pack when you arrive there can be a little challenge getting your order in but having said that....just relax and enjoy..... The first visit to Montgo Di Bongo a few years back we had a couple of G&Ts woooo yum. Do visit, recommended....

My wife & I stopped here at the roof top restaurant to enjoy a fine meal with a couple of glasses of wine for her birthday. She had the Ragu de Bogavante & I had the Tirodito de Atun Nikkei. Both were excellent as well as the service being very attentive. Our 2 waiters made us feel at home and we enjoyed several laughs with them. It's an excellent choice with a view of the Med Sea that's incomparable, we both highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely rooftop bar overlooking the sea. Ambience is relaxing and has a luxurious feel with comfortable seating and shade. Dog friendly with little treats for the dogs too. Drinks are great with an amazing cava sangria!

I have loved The Beach House style, and in particular their Rooftop Terrace, for some time now, so choosing it as our wedding venue was a simple decision. From the start, Pedro and his team were incredibly helpful, and despite two postponements (thank you Covid) they were very accommodating to us, at a time of major uncertainty for the whole hospitality sector. Natasha, their wonderful Events Planner was an absolute dream to work with, and her attention to detail had me realising aspects of the planning I hadn’t even thought of, which she then calmly and quickly dealt with. She was super helpful; kind, and thoughtful and was instrumental in so many aspects, plus I credit her with keeping me as sane as possible in the run up to the wedding! The stunning venue itself was only outshone by the INCREDIBLE service of the team on the day. The service team are the real jewels of this place!! All of our guests commented on how good they were, how attentive and professional, friendly and polite, and I only wish I had noted their names on the day to thank them personally. The food was OUTSTANDING – my husband is a professional chef of over 20years and he was blown away by how good it was, as was everyone else!! In short, if you’re considering a location wedding, I highly recommend The Beach House, with its stunning views over the bay of Javea and the entire team, who are all stars in their own right! Our heartfelt thanks to you all for helping make our big day so very special, and one we’ll never forget…..

I’m putting a 5 star because it is a good place overall but it was VERY confusing. I had reserved for the rooftop when I wanted to reserve for the ground floor, but when I wanted to reserve the ground floor this is what showed up on google yet it’s for the ROOFTOP. The food is OKAY. Nothing special. The service was okay as well- because even if they were nice there was so many things wrong. They mixed up my order, they had forgotten my food etc. It didn’t really cause us a big problem but I think it was a bit unprofessional.

I come here pretty much every few months since its opening. And yes, while there were times when service was slow, it certainly isn’t anymore. I was there yesterday, service was very attentive, the food was great, and not a rude soul in sight.

We we're very luck to get the only unreserved table for two. Last night at 7.15pm. Very nice seating area. Waiter was very pleasant. We enjoyed our tapas. Unfortunately there was a table of 4 women behind us, who smoked none stop from sitting down shortly after us. Not pleasant when you're a non smoker, even the couple next to us commented. The owner was extremely nice.

Our first time staying in this part of Javea and delighted to have found this bar. Made to feel welcome as soon as we stepped through the door and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Canas, vinos and tapas to settle in, then a glorious bottle of house wine, a few more tapas and a main meal to finish. Prices are very reasonable, ambiance is superb. I guarantee you will not be disappointed if you choose to step into this very special place

The Tal Cual is a gem hidden in a side street in the Harbour district of Jávea. This place is offering affordable, mostly homemade, fresh tapas of great quality at affordable prices. Our passionated review does reflect their passion and will be more extensive than usual. The Tal Cual itself was very busy in the evening, so a reservation might be useful. There are some places located on the calm streetside and some in the bar. The bar itself is a pool of good mood, with very good music and artful decorated. There is a lot to discover on the walls while you are waiting for your dinner. We had pan with alioli and a tomato sauce as a classical starter, later a traditional meatball layered in cabbage. It was very delicious because the herbs and well made in hot broth. We also had calamares, and I'd say you might never had that delicious ones before. Buttery soft inside while crispy outside. The patatas bravas where not optimally for us because we like them grilled / crispy too, with a bit of hot salsa. But well each cuisine has own preparation methods. We also had smoked salmon, which might be not homemade but still of good quality and well served and temperated, along with black sesame and some good fruity olive oil. The cocktails were awesome. You should try them. All waiters were very friendly and helpful and we loved their passion about their job, so did we appreciate the passion of the kitchen team for doing an fantastic job on the drinks and food we got served. In our opinion The Tal Cual should be on your top 5 to go list of tapas bars, when in Jávea. Very popular lively spot, so I’d recommend making a reservation. I really liked the their premium selection of croquettas, the meatballs were very good as well.

Don't bother, our first really bad meal since we moved to Spain. All 8 of us had bad food, either they thought we were on holiday or were just not bothered as they were "closing at 5". Still presented a bill for 150 euros !!

Been here part of a large family birthday (20) group, couple or family of 4. Food and service above and beyond. Everything fresh, tasty and great value. If you dare, let them make the choices and you will dine like never before. Our go to tapas in Javea.

Very nice food, just unfortunate that when we ordered coffee, as it was so strong I asked for extra milk and my daughter asked for ice to change it to a cold coffee. Having spent almost 140€ on dinner, they felt it acceptable to charge 30c for the milk and 30c fo the ice! Very sad they felt the need to do this.

We enjoyed a delicious meal of tapas as a family of 2 adults, 3 young kids. The entrecôte & fries and fried squid were very good. Staff were friendly and efficient and helped us arrange a taxi at the end of our evening. We will definitely return when next on Xabia. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Been in spain 2 years. This has to be the worse meal we've ever had. When we mentioned to the owner we didnt like he seemed very offended. Apple in the salad was mouldy, eggs uncooked in another meal, kids burgers uncooked and not what was ordered althought they then replaced with an uncooked burger that we originally ordered. Battered veg was the size of your nail. Expensive and so so poor. Will not be back.

What a pretty Sangria... and delicious too!! We had some tapas and a toastie... both were tasty!! High chairs (no low ones) but they were comfortable enough. Lots of locals here... obviously popular!!

Love this place. Buy fresh produce from the market and the bar will cook it on the plancha for €2.50 per person. Amazing! Thursday is market day so it can be really busy during the Summer. Any other day it’s filled with locals enjoying tapas. There’s also a really good wine list and juice bar 😁

Service with a smile 😃. The girl who served us was so happy and funny as she didn't speak much English but was so friendly with a beautiful smile. The burgers were probably the best we have ever eaten and the loaded fies were gorgeous as well. The six of us were well impressed with the flavour of all the burgers and the exceptional service. 100% recommended from us.

Without a doubt the best sports bar in Javea. Friendly welcome. Multiple screens with all the different sporting events of the day on. Great draft larger with a vast cocktail menu. Traditional Irish pub grub at a good price.

First visit primarily to watch the new Rock Band, Splinter. Great welcome from friendly staff and fairly priced drinks. Layout is a little like a hall with tables in it but a great place for a beer nonetheless.

Watched both of the England games here. Fantastic atmosphere and the staff are super friendly. When the large crowd left the owners and staff chatted with us. Even when there is no sport to watch I think the friendly staff will create a great atmosphere playing great music

The Canela breakfast is an excellent traditional English Fried Brekkie, it’s cooked to order, fresh, delicious, not greasy and a generous portion. Coffee is great and it’s all served by friendly staff.

The Curry Palace has been a consistent favourite of ours over many years. We have recommended it to numerous friends and acquaintances and have shared our positive experiences on TripAdvisor. On our most recent  visit, however, we invited friends & anticipated the usual high standard. Whilst the service was excellent and the food was plentiful, we found our menu choices to be extremely underwhelming if quite frankly 'not very nice' across all main dishes. Sadly, a lot of food went to waste. For now, we'll put down to our menu choice, but this is extremely unusual as we love all curry dishes & a first for us in any Indian Restaurant anywhere.  The ice cream dessert whilst delicious was very small. One side of our party left an extremely healthy tip, whilst not expected we were not offered a complimentary drink at the end, which caused raised eyebrows when our neighbouring table received a tray of complimentary drinks. Note: this restaurant offers an all inclusive menu but does not openly advertise it anymore. So you'll need to ask the staff if you desire this! Whilst we'll continue to recommend 'The Curry Palace', our recommendation now comes with reservation, 'A meal is only as good as the last' Based on our overall experience we will be trying the 'Royal Ghurka' on our next visit to Javea for a change.

This is the second time in a couple of years that we have eaten there when visiting Spain and we couldn't recommend it high enough. We are originally from London where we have experienced many Indian meals and this was certainly up there with the best of them. Absolutely delicious!

Such a shame! Had high hopes for here... normally eat at Kathmandu, but fancied somewhere different.. Had to wait a long time to order, (almost an hour) but they were busy i guess. Starter was ok, king prawn puree was too sweet, and paneer pakora was luke warm. Tandoori mixed grill wasnt bad, but a little dry. Naan, I ordered a chicken tikka naan, but it came with cheese in it, not sure if my fault or now, but melted cheddar in a naan was disgusting, neither of us ate it. The biggest issue is that no one at all came to the table to check on the food at any point... not until the plates were cleared.. (about 20 mins after we finished eating!)which was too late tbh. I mentioned the naan and they offered to make us one without cheese, great, but too little too late. They did, at their own choice take the naan off the bill, which i appreciate, but it all could have been solved with someone just coming to the table occasionally... Also, the house wine... yuk... Summary. Service needs improvement, small issues that could have been sorted left us with a bad taste in the mouth.

Absolutely lovely place. The staff or family are just so welcoming and friendly. Anything is no trouble. And the food is just lovely to. We sat outside, basically right next to the footpath, so we could see the fireworks in the bay.

Absolutely recommended to try if you haven't yet. The service is top class with some great recommendations, the food is also really really good. My other half never was a fan of Nepalese nor Indian cuisine, however after dining at the Curry Palace, he ordered more food for take away 😅 Thank you! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the best Indian restaurants in Javea!!!. They have authentic cuisines and yummy flavors, all matched my expectations. Service was excellent. Especially menu was so completely focus on traditional dishes.

An excellent Indian restaurant a few streets back from the busy Arenal. The interior looked very nice but they also had a terrace at the back set in a small square. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the food delicious & the house red was perfect. 2 x main dishes, 2 x sides, nan, bottle of water & 4 x glasses of wine for £40 puts our local curry house back home to shame. Highly recommended.

The team at Buddha Palace always goes over and above to cater for anyone’s needs. It was a family party recently and we had 42 people attend everyone was dealt with impeccable care from the baby’s to the grandparents you never have to wait and courtyard outside is fantastic they also deliver that personal touch ! We have lived in Javea for almost 3 years and have tried many Indian restaurants, however, this one stands out. We visit most weeks and although we have our favourites we have enjoyed trying out new dishes. The team are lovely and very friendly. Excellent value for money too.

STILL AMAZING 21/06/23 - Excellent food best Indian I have been to in Spain, we started with King Prawns, Malai Chicken Tikka and Chicken Tikka for starts all were freshly cooked. The prawns were gorgeous! For main course we had House Speciality Chicken Curry, Chicken Madras and Chicken Tikka Marsla the curries were all generous in portion size and beautifully cooked the meat was moist to eat. We had Egg, Mushroom and Pilau Rice's with garlic and peshawar naans. All the above was 17.50 euros per person You also get a poppadum and small ice cream or coffee. Service is excellent and restaurant is clean thanks team.

Absolutely exceptional experience. We popped past on the off chance and managed to get a table for 2. The service was fantastic, the ambiance seated outdoors was lovely and the food...wow the food! Every dish was an event and by far the best food we have had so far in a year of living in Spain. The fact this gem is only 5 mins from our door insurers we will be back again. 5 stars is not enough. I was enjoying it so much I forgot to take pictures but the deserts had to be snapped.

Yes, you should get the chateaubriand 👍 and the rodaballo is exquisite. Everything was impressive, perhaps with the exception of the gambas al ajillo — four small red prawns doesn't quite do the dish's name justice. Flavor was nice, just not enough to justify the 19€ price tag.

Dear Owner of La Masena. I think you are confusing my party with other clients. We arrived at 7.30 not 7.00. The waiter seated us and we then had to ask 3 times for a menu. The waiter took orders for 2 drinks and wandered off. When he came back with 2 drinks - for a party of 5! - we had to ask for wine which eventually arrived. During the meal service was slow and we had to ask 2 different waiters for the bill and then wait a further 10 minutes for someone to find your card reader. Despite that we left a tip. At no time did anyone explain that you were short staffed. One of my favourite restaurants, but yesterday the service was terrible. We got seated and then ignored for at least 25 minutes before we had a drink and the menu. Throughout the evening it did not get any better. Ignored by the waiter who was supposed to be looking after our table. I had to ask for attention continuously even when asking for the bill. It was a shame Valentino was not there as it would have not happened. Will not be back for some time...

Literally everything was really excellent. The food, the ambience, the people who were so happy in their work, and very accommodating to all of our party of 6 people. Our first time, and we will definitely be back. Thank you all for a wonderful lunch today.

Great restaurant. The Chateaubriand was the best I have ever tasted, the meat was high quality, fresh; the roasted potatoes are so well cooked, they feel very soft in the middle yet with the right consistency outside. The salad was delicious, as well as, the roasted veggies. Definitely a must go place for good meat. There are not many in Jávea so make sure you come here!!

If you are looking for a cozy and highscale place to enjoy food, then Masena would be your choice. Set in tranquil surroundings away from the beach, Masena offers fabolous food and good service. It's recommended to make your reservations as this place gets busy. The terrace is shaded and a comfortable place to sit, while the inside looks spectacular. In my opinion, you should try the cheesecake. Masena have a style of their own, and it is by far the best I have ever had.

Nice food, the carpaccio and duck foue was delicious! We had fish for the lunch and it was really good. It's a lovely and beautiful place to spend some good time. The staff is wonderful, very nice and fun. Unfortunately we reserved a table outside (as I said it's a beautiful place) and it was a very hot day, that's the only thing I can say we didn't enjoyed.

We had an absolutely wonderful dining experience here. The food was delicious, the wine selection outstanding, and the atmosphere truly delightful. The people running the place were very attentive, warm, and genuinely committed to making sure we had a perfect night. Highly recommend!

Not very hearty portions as one would imagine Excellent service by head of house, and secondary waiter. Ceviche de pescado was perfect with many surprising elements. I won’t give any spoilers here… Prompt attention for everything. Good wine selection with local and regional options. Very reasonably priced in relation to other places around the area. As far as seafood goes there is something here for everyone. They were even thoughtful enough to cap the dinner with a glass of moscato which is a small gesture but it does make a nice impression after a pleasant dining experience. Gracias

Beautiful patio seating available - definitely book. The food was excellent,I wouldn't usually choose the salt baked fish ,but they filet it for you in front of you ,and it was absolutely delicious. The steak was also just as good. The warm crusty bread is hard to resist, but definitely try and save room for the desserts ,the lemon meringue was really in your face lemon but if you love citrus dessert this is a must . Not the cheapest but definitely one of the best in the area.

Good food with a great detail in plating beautiful dishes. Refreshing and taste menu which was very in season. Would definitely recommend their sun menu. Unfortunately the restaurant is not wheelchair friendly as there were a few steps to get to the restaurant. The restaurant staff did offer to help to bring the wheelchair down. But all in all, fantastic experience.

Great food and service it was really lovely atmosphere and the presentation was good. Sitting outside was great there was a lovey view and was a highlight of our stay.

This was a special occasion for me and my family. I felt let down and embarrassed that I choose to come here. Every dish was around 4-7 out of 10. Nothing spectacular. Not a single wow among our table of 4 and around 12 courses. I personally found a distinct lack of variety of texture and by the end of the meal I was tired of getting yet another fish dish in a brown sauce. A particular low light was the goat milk cheesecake with lamb sauce. It tasted worse than it sounds and yes, it came in another brown sauce. Another low was getting cold pasta. When the surely waitress asked if everything was ok I told her the dish was cold. 'Vale' (ok) was her one word response. She clearly didn't care and on one occasion was squabbling with her colleague. Not a good look for a 2 star Michelin restaurant. I'm glad most people enjoy their visit here. I did not. I won't go back and I wouldn't recommend. Easily my worst Michelin star experience. Update: the restaurant tried to get this review removed. They have not commented or apologised in anyway for the poor experience.

We had an evening reservation for 2. Arriving at the restaurant the first impression was a very warm welcome by the staff and the impeccable design of the interior and exterior. The design is very clean & focused, capturing the local esthetics perfectly in a modern style without being pretentious or overloaded at all. Before being seated we received our first amuse-bouche, an ancestral preparation of cured fish & a cucumber honey concoction - a nice touch setting expectations to experience more traditional ingredients & preparations from the region. At our table overlooking the pristine garden & sunset we were presented with the menu, giving the choice of 3 tasting menus mainly varying in number of dishes. A la carte dining choosing from the same dishes was an option. We chose the sol menu which is the ‘medium’ choice featuring 10 main dishes, 4 starters and 4 desserts plus the wine pairing. We requested a couple of changes to include dishes from the larger menu which was no issue. Service - overall we were very happy with the service receiving the right amount of attention including good explanations on the dishes without being intrusive or overbearing. Probably being a good 10-15 years younger than the normal clientele of such restaurants we felt very much welcome and appreciate the enthusiasm of the staff for the regional concept of the restaurant. Wine - due to the seafood focus of the menu, the overwhelming majority of the wines where whites, with only 3 reds. The pairings worked very well and we had a number of very original wines we would not have considered outside of such a setting. Moreover there was a number of original items like a regional sparkling sake or a wine-beer hybrid. Overall we were very happy with the wines. Food - the menu has a strong seafood focus, with the initial dishes showing strong Japanese influences which I enjoyed a lot. The only criticism is that some of the portions might be slightly too large for such an extensive menu. Especially the regional pastry dish - while enjoyable and well made - was definitely too large. A positive surprise was the Spanish caviar and sheep milk dish which to my surprise was very tasty. The mains showcased local ingredients very well and overall with the standouts being the cured tuna & iberico, the radish with egg yolk, the sepia noodles as well as the lamb belly. The dessert taco (pumpkin&sweet potatoe mouse with passion fruit & yuzu) was fantastic and a perfect refreshing bite. The peach mousse with yuzu sorbet was one of our favorite dishes of the meal. Unfortunately the almond cake was not overly inventive or special and a bit of a low point compared to the previous two very amazing dishes. The macaroons were a nice finish to be paired with a coffee or digestive. Overall the meal progression was quite good with the above criticism of some of the earlier dishes being a bit on the heavy/large portion side. Taste and preparation was excellent throughout which is to be expected at this level and - except for one or two dishes - everything was very inventive and unique and along a clear philosophy to be very true to the regional traditional foods and preparation methods while pushing the innovation by introducing Japanese flavors and techniques in a sensible and respectful manner. The price tag including menus, wines, water & aperitif and coffee was around 430 euro for 2 which we considered a fair price given quality of food &service. Overall we can only recommended this restaurant, it was a very good experience start to finish and we left the restaurant after 3.5 hrs very full & happy. When we come back to the region we will definitely visit again.

We could not have enjoyed ourselves more. Every moment of your time at BonAmb is thought out. From parking under the orange trees, to the champagne greeting. We were treated at everyone moment of the evening and I could not be more thankful. The staff is kind, the sommelier made the dishes (somehow) even better. Thank you all for such a great experience.

This is probably one of best fish-based tasting menus you can have around the world. Impeccably gentle and polite service, amazing decoration, plenty of extreme quality food no matter the menu, and desserts that will last in my memory for a good while. Don't even think twice. Investing in this experience is something you will not regret but remember 😃

4th Michelin stop in our little gastronomic tour on the Spanish east coast. Have a look at other reviews to compare and follow the challenges with my lists. What’s extraordinary here? Usually, I’m looking for what’s interesting but here it’s extraordinary. First, a bit of context, in gastronomy, there’s this concept of « Alliance terre mer « (matching food from earth and the sea). It’s a big thing, and most of the 2 and 3 stars try to have at least a dish where they showcase that they master it. I highly suspect that’s a criteria to go from 2 to 3. Especially in France. One of the reasons it’s a really big thing is because you can have a dish with a wider specter in terms of aroma, but you need to match stuff that are really difficult to balance. Well, you’re in the house of one of (if not The) the master of this delicate Art. And I’ve tried a lot of Michelin (most of them, I did not publish a review), so I’m writing with some background here. The craziest is that the chef is a natural. I don’t think he’s thinking of doing it consciously. No, it’s just natural for him. How can I be so sure? Well, two reasons : it’s in the roots and got a tip! The tip came from the right arm of the chef (le second). We had the chance to chat a little bit (she’s French, that helped me..), and during the chat I had a glimpse of the chef creative process. That’s my tip. It has to feel right. And to feel right, it has to be rooted. Which brings me to the second and the main point, it’s in their roots. I had the chance to chat (yes, I do like a lot to speak with the staff… I’m a nightmare!) with the co owner Pablo Catalá, and it stroke me. Pablo was explaining that people around here were working the earth during the days (cherishing their winter tomatoes, etc…) and fishing at night (they have their own techniques). That’s who they are. That’s the chef, Alberto Ferruz , and the co owner, Pablo. That’s the key to understand their food. It’s not instinctive, it’s their culture so deeply rooted that it feels natural. Hence this seemingly unnatural capacity to associate ingredients from the land and from the sea. I did not mention the staff because I was mesmerized by Pablo stories, but he has a great brigade de salle. In my book, it’s a top tiers two stars pushing to three stars, especially since the price point give them margin to grow.

Impressive and absolutely brilliant restaurant. One really can't understand why BonAmb does not qualify to be a top ranking restaurant globally, as it has everything and more to succeed: a beautiful and modern setting, an attentive and exquisite staff, and the most important of all, a menu to impress you. Chef Ferruz and his formidable team are masters of textures. Whether it's the use of vegetables, shellfish, fish or meat, it is a festival of flavor, texture and taste. Pure and constant display of mastery that brings back old techniques to marry them with modernity. I didn't expect this level of perfection and was truly blown away to become a dedicated fan of BonAmb.

I've had the pleasure of dining at Carnaval twice. The first time, I ordered a vegan poke bowl with tofu. The bowl was fantastic, with fresh ingredients, though I found the two accompanying sauces less appealing. On my second visit, I tried their breakfast options. The cashew butter toast was outstanding, and the avocado toast was also delicious. Additionally, the freshly pressed juices were excellent. However, I must mention that the prices are quite high. Personally, I am willing to pay more for high-quality, fresh food, but this is something each person has to decide for themselves. Overall, Carnaval offers great food, but be prepared for the higher cost.

Best place for great food and drinks at arenal beach in Javea ! Atmosphere is comfy and lax. Great seating in big fat leather sofas and seats around numerous fireplaces, which would make dining in the winter great as well. Excellent service, food and prices are reasonable as well. I tried the pastrami nyc toastie and it really was tasty it had lots of pastrami and the provolone cheese complemented it well. It’s just a shame it doesn’t come with anything. The service was a bit slow but the servers were nice and it was a cool place to chill as we had to stay for about 3 hours

Looks lovely had a big table got all of us. Decorated well. Service started off well with lovely waitress with another coming to help with my poor Spanish. All went well. Food was really good. We all enjoyed what we ordered. Then for some reason had a different waiter and he was extremely rude and very arrogant to the point where it ruined our experience. He didn't come over to us even when making eye contact, hoovered hot food over our little one heads and gave wine and beer near little hands. So also just not aware. Luckily food was good and was enjoyed by all. Then two waitresses had a heated discussion. This is the second visit here our first one we walked out on poor service. But as family members joined us they wanted to try. We won't be back such a shame we use to like coming here

We have stopped in here two times in the last month or so. The food is wonderful. Add to that the very pleasant staff and great feeling of the place. This should be a top pick for place simply enjoy a fine meal. I highly recommend the meal of the day. We have tried four different main dishes, and they have all been fantastic!

This was the star of our trip to javea. The servers were really nice and cracking up jokes, all our orders were correct and they were always around to help us. The starters I had were some of the best I’ve had. I’d recommend the prawn croquettes and the patatas bravas were insane. The bread sharer was tasty, and my main I went for the lamb shoulder, it was huge and fell right off the bone. I had a bite of the mixed paella too and I think next time I’d go for that one. The restaurant itself is in a really nice location too and we were able to sit on the terraza. Additionally, the music playing was perfect volume and perfect songs

Food was good (lamb shoulder pictured) but I had asked if it needed anything else to go with it (e.g. a side dish) and was told this would be plenty. The lamb was accompanied by 1 small piece of pepper and 1 small piece of potato, which was not enough to go with the meat. Tasted great, just portion/quantities could be improved we all felt. August 2024.

We were looking for a place to enjoy paella and ended up at Casa Grau Bistró, and we definitely didn’t regret it. As a starter to share we chose the patatas bravas, which were absolutely delicious, honestly the best I’ve ever had! The paella was also full of flavor and really tasty. The restaurant is located in a charming little street with a terrace, and inside it’s just as cozy and welcoming. A lovely spot to enjoy authentic Spanish food!

We have eaten in A LOT of places in and around Xàbia and like the finer side of things - give this place a whirl as I am fairly sure you will be very happy with it. Really enjoyed this place. We had fillet steak and sea bass - both excellent. Service was helpful and friendly. The only thing they could improve is to have table cloths and nice place mats rather than plastic tables with ugly paper mats.

Starters were very basic and poorly presented. Was dreading the mains. We all ordered fish and I must say it was outstanding. Well cooked and full of flavours. Service was exceptionally poor though, very slow, waited 45 minutes between starter and main. Kids burgers was exceptionally poor and arrived immediately so kids were done and dusted way before adults mains. Wasn't overly busy due to time of year so not sure what went in with service.

The fish starters were good, fresh dishes. The salad was correct with tasty mint dressing. The paella was well cooked, I prefer other flavours but wanted to taste this one. It was correct but not the best I have ever tasted. The price was very good, if you order the menus. The service were friendly, however, they took so long between the dishes, I just wanted to leave instead of having the paella. It made the experience non enjoyable, it felt like we spent too much time waiting instead of enjoying the food.

Lovely restaurant, lovely food, great staff! We've been here tree times in the four weeks that we've been here in Javea. Notable that local families go there for a treat too. Best to book, or just turn up when it opens at about 7pm if you're passing. Some of the tapas is quite substantial, so order carefully!

We were here during our holidays. It was amazing! The scenery is just great, you can hear the waves and we watched the sun set over the sea. It is a crowded area as it belongs to the promenade, so I would advise to book a table in advance. As we were sitting outside it was not too loud or busy. The food was amazing! We had chicken paella and the steak and both were just great. The steak even comes with fries and veggies, which was not mentioned on the card. The price is not as cheap as you could have it, but for the quality it was totally fine! Special wishes were accounted for so perfectly, everyone was really friendly. We will come back!

We had a great meal which was the meal of the day! I found the service on this day to be exceptional very attentive and always with a smile, well done! The fare WAS freshly prepared that's just something you instinctively know. The portions were well sized and treated very good. Well worth a visit with super views of the bay and the passersby on the playa.

Fresh and tasty sea food platters, this restaurant serves a variety of local dishes but you must try their sea food. We’ve ordered sepia as appetizer, it was served along with bread and garlic sauce then Arroz del senyoret as main dish we could not be happier with the decision, portions are very big, we left the restaurant full. This restaurant is a game of 2 halves, the atmosphere is great and the setting is good. Unfortunately the main part of this review has to be how disappointing everything else was. The portion size is small and the flavour is not there too be honest. The service was not great, upon asking for a drink to be corrected as they did it wrong we were made to feel like it was our fault that they made the mistake. Please consider other restaurants in the area as you will pay less and receive a much better service and food quality. I can only unfortunately say that this is overated by the people who own it and think that they are doing an amazing job and serve spectacular food but the truth is far from this. Could do a lot better!!!

Lovely restaurant, I would book in advance. Very busy evening on a Tuesday! Luckily they had room for us outside which is a beautiful part of the place. The food was sensational and all handmade. We had 3 courses and all were delicious. Service was great and the servers were happy and friendly, they didn't laugh at my attempts in Spanish too. Highly recommend! 👌

Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. We didn’t have a reservation, but they still managed to find us a table—super friendly staff. If you’re coming in high season, though, better book ahead. We kicked things off with a cheese platter and shared the pasta and steak. Honestly, the steak was spot on: perfectly medium rare, maybe the best I’ve had in Spain. Don’t skip the pistachio helado—just €3, and it’s an actual dessert, not just a scoop of ice cream. If you’re into wine, grab the Poppone bottle! 5/5 stars.

Maybe my palate is not sufficiently sophisticated to appreciate the subtle difference in texture and flavour between fresh and dried pasta, or maybe there is something that is not special enough to interest me; something more ordinary and bland. Don't get me wrong, the restaurant is nice enough; There is a lovely, large, covered outside dining area at the back; and the service was quick, polite and attentive. It's just the food; There is nothing wrong or unpleasant about it. It was nice. I was just left with the impression that I could make a pretty good stab at something similar at about a quarter of the price. Don't be put off by my experience; if you love pasta, you will love this place. It's just that my taste buds were asking me the serious question about why I didn't eat in the restaurant next door

What a great find! Worth the little detour away from the centre of town - Wonderfully attentive staff, delicious dishes & very well priced! We had 3 wines, 1 starter, 2 mains & 2 desserts for €53. Highly recommend & will definitely return!

Delicious Italian food in a relaxed setting. One of the best Italian restaurants we have been to. This is a family favourite whenever we are in Javea. The starters are huge but delicious , the mains are a good size but not huge like the starters. Friendly staff and reasonably priced , out of season it is even better value. During high season you will definitely need to book as it is always busy.

We were a party of four for lunch on a hot day. The covered outside area was inviting with fans and AC. Service was friendly and efficient. All our meals were super, a notch above the average Italian menu. Beer was cold. Ample parking. Zero negatives. To be repeated.

A lovely picturesque location serving really nice tapas type food. I made a reservation and was unable to move it by 30 minutes as I couldn’t get them to answer the phone! Waiting staff were indifferent upon our arrival and pointed to a ‘bar code’ for us to access the menu. Food was of lovely quality and deserved a much better introduction to our table than it got! Bill was delivered to the the table while we were still eating and gave the impression that the restaurant is sufficiently busy that customers can be taken for granted , consequence free. Lovely food, disappointing service and very little interest from restaurant personnel when we gave honest feedback. I won’t be back.

Very nice waitres that arranged a table for 11 persons without a problem. We ordered a mix tapas from the chef, and it was delicious. The different tapas dishes arrived with fried vegetables, bravas, sea food, meat, delicious duck and a entrecote that ended a perfect dinner. Nice place and highly recommended.

We were served and seated by a lovely waiter, the food was delicious, in particular the tempura bacaloa and secreto iberico. I've marked the score as a 3 star due to us getting overcharged, and the attitude of the young lady who we paid the bill to, my husband has never ever had his change slammed at him on the counter. It's a pity, no will never return.

Best garlic prawns ever. I have been eating prawns for about 60 years. The prawns here were cooked to perfection! Potatoes bravas were brilliant! Sauce was hot and spicy! Go there…..you won’t be disappointed!

We had been here before several years ago and decided to take visiting family members there. The service was good and the food that we ordered was nice. My own feeling is that compared to other places that serve very similar offerings, this was expensive. We probably won't go again for quite a while as there are other comparable places to eat in the same vicinity which we all agreed were better value and of a similar standard. No real complaints and they deserve their good reviews if you don't mind the prices.

This visit was only coffee, can't comment on the food. I know it's usually very good.

I was sitting there 15 minutes waiting just for the menu. The waitress brought menu to the table next to me that came later. They were chatting in eastern european language and laughing a lot for a few minutes. After she took the orders, she went away. Not even noticing me although I was sitting maybe 40cm from her. The same thing happend again, the other waitress brought menu to the new guests that have just arrived. The stuff does not pay attention at all, I had a feeling they prefer to serve to the tables that have more people maybe hoping for higher tips. The cafe was not full at all.

Always good service at this place and good coffee. It's a little hot sitting under the toldos and the fans were not switched on so we didnt stay long. I cant give it a 5 star because the coffee cups are tiny the coffee moderately hot and it's quite expensive compared to other places especially considering it is on the road with just cars and fumes. It's not one of our favourites. As a postscript, we re visited this place for a coffee and a brandy. We waited a long time to be served on this occasion. We ordered one special coffee with rum and a coffee with milk and a brandy on the side. It took far too long bur it didn't really bother us. Then the coffees arrived but no brandy. We waited a little lo get then caught the eye of the waitress thst had taken our order and mentioned it. She definitely had attitude and snapped back with a very abrasive..yes!.. We waited a long time and the coffee which was not hot to begin with had be drunk as had the other special coffee. By this time we were disappointed both because they hadn't brought what we had ordered but also because of the attitude directed to us when we politely asked for the brandy. Unfortunately we had to leave so I went in to pay the bill. They tried to charge me for the brandy and said it had been put in the tiny cold coffee which we certainly would have known. It definitely had not and it had been acknowledged already by the waitress that it had not been delivered. All in all not a positive experience.

The food is okay, till I saw the Kitchen Chef. Go outside to smoke after every order, his finger dark brown of the nicotine..........yak The waitress was very attended and friendly. Also a lot of vegetarian food.

Quirky little place split into two areas – a lively bar/restaurant at the front and a quieter back room. We hadn't booked but managed to get a table, albeit facing a wall next to an unused meat grinder, which felt a little odd. The service was friendly, and the menu offered a wide selection of dishes – not all traditional Spanish, which was a refreshing change. The food itself was surprisingly good – well presented and full of flavour. However, the decor feels tired and in need of a refresh – a lick of paint would go a long way. The biggest letdown was the washrooms, which were quite unpleasant and clearly not well maintained – always a telling sign for any restaurant. Overall, it wasn't a terrible experience, just not one I'd personally return for.

I can't give less than 1 star. Terrible experience, a busy lunchtime and one young man serving. The menu is on a chalkboard. The small tables slope. We watched 9 ladies cramped up on 2 small tables, there was hardly room for the drinks never mind food. You can't make any changes so for example an steak comes with rosemary chips, no choice of vegetables or even a simple salad. We ordered 2, just one arrived. The meat was very tough. The plates we cracked, chipped and crazed, not very hygienic. The prices are high, we could have gone to a place with tablecloths and had a 3 course menu for less money. We used to tell our friends about this place as it used to be good. No more.

Absolutely stunning food! I was worried due to the amount of variety on the menu (jack of all trades, master of none kinds of thing) but I was so wrong, every dish was amazing. Nothing had that premade or frozen look, everything was Fresh. Highly Highly recommend!

Fabulous service and great food.I am a solo traveller/ ex-restaurateur and this town is my favorite for many reasons. I found a new one in my lunch experience at La Sucreria. On a very busy festival day, I was seated promptly, and then helped with my menu choices by breathless, yet efficient wait staff. The food arrived promptly, and was a deliciously different, which I love. The waitress was running, but she stayed cool under pressure and knew her menu well. Well done kitchen and service. Thanks and I'll be back!

The food here is some of the most inventive I’ve seen anywhere, and the value for money is exceptional. It can get busy and the staff sometimes struggle but it’s all done with a smile. Well done!

A special winter favourite of mine for a drink and a snack. Stays open throughout the year, but can get overcrowded in the high season. However, it's one of the best places for sipping at a glass of wine and gazing meditatively at the moon rising out of the Mediterranean or the sunset casting its afterglow over the sea, in winter months.

Survives only on its incredible location! Such a shame, used to be great! insane prices (€10 for a tiny bowl of bravas!) and with a micro managing and shouty boss so disliked by his staff that it shows.

Bar located on the seafront , apathetic staff , was very busy as Saturday night , mocktail was ok , was disappointed to be served a beer in a british style pint glass . Seating is quite cramped . it’s also quite expensive , won’t be coming back in a hurry

Sat down for beer and was very rudely told to leave. There were several tables with many other people drinking and eating. The proprietor just kept telling us they were closed. Do not recommend.

Very fresh seafood! The squid and fish are to die for. The service can be a bit slow and there are always a few flies around, but overall it’s a very pleasant experience right by the sea.

We were served stale fish that was not suitable for human consumption (smelled like rubbish). It was by far the worst meal I ever had. It's not even a cheap place price-wise but definitely cheap in every other regard. The place overall has a problem with hygiene and service. I wouldn't even come near this place again.

We advised to try La Cantina de Javea by the air conditioning engineer. He said they purchase the fish from the market 100 years away. He advised us to book, as it was popular with the locals. We tried and tried. We drove over to it a three times, once mid afternoon once late afternoon and the other at 19:25 and waited around for quarter of an hour. There was no one at the premises. I tried the number listed on Google over a three days at differing times morning, evening and night time. Even at 20:45 and 22:00 there was no answer. There are no contact details listed on the restaurant. There is a clip board with several names written on a sheet of paper, whether this is how you are supposed to book was not really clear. I can only conclude that during the 20st July to the 4th August the restaurant is closed. Maybe some one who knows how to make a reservation and what time the restaurant opens can please share the information via a review.

Pathetic pathetic fraud…first I would start we ordered 6 main items off the regular menus and day catch. There were four people in my party. ONLY ONE item we ordered of the six looked fresh and caught from the Med as they claim, rest looked frozen. Not only prices are inflated compared to similar restaurants it did not taste that well. When the bill came, every item, drink and food at least one extra was fraudulent added. It was 20-25% more then it should have. Be careful and vigilant when reviewing your bill. Conclusion…overpriced, fraud, not that fresh or tasty. WILL DEFINITELY NOT RE-VISIT.

Lovely place at first sight...between docks and fishing boats. Before we went, I also read new opinions and it seemed that we would eat very well... fresh and good. ...The experience was different....The only fresh dishes that are tasty are the cache of the day...a little bit peppery for the price for the quantity it offers....otherwise everything (tapas)... ..from frozen....The oil is unchanged and this can be seen by the way everything that is fried looks (brown instead of golden)...And not to mention the famous PATATAS BRAVAS....which in their conception are french fries with sauce...Ridiculous....However, they are lucky to fool many tourists who don't know....The locals would not accept such food and quality...at their prices...once again RIDICULOUS. ...And to finish....be careful what is put on your bill...the tendency of waiters to round up their tip even more...is to put more than you have consumed....Check ok and great attention....I was fooled once....the second one won't happen again...All the best

Great tapas restaurant in old town. Opens all day and enjoyable experience. definitely return.. Reasonable prices and plenty of menu options to enjoy. Very central so plenty of things to do in area. Market close by is also worth a visit. Nice environment.

Great typical tapas, one of the very few places where I would take people to taste real tapas of good quality. Price wise is also good. I would stay away here from chicken nuggets and these things, go for sepia, habas, fish omelette, meatballs; typical Spanish. Ar the end they give you mistela a sweet wine from the region.

A good bar and tapas restaurant where you also keep updated with televised football matches. The tapas is good value and portions are just enough. A nice touch if you have eaten a few dishes, is that on requesting the bill you are given a small portion of tiramisu with a shot glass and some moscatel. (this may not be part of usual service so please do not dine and expect it)

Good bar on the Arenal at Javea main Beach. Many regulars and atmosphere good. Note cash only payment. Service is good. Rock music non stop and plenty of lively characters to meet and be entertained by. Enjoy the experience. View from bar over beach splendid. Tapas on offer.

I visited Taverna Octopus today and had a refreshing beer. The service was really friendly, and the view was absolutely beautiful – a perfect spot to relax. The only downside is that they only accept cash, but this didn’t take away from the overall great experience. Highly recommend it for a laid-back time with great vibes!

Fabrizio is an excellent chef and this is an excellent restaurant. We have been lots of times and it’s always fantastic. Last night we asked him to surprise my wife and I as we usually pick similar dishes each time. He started us with his delicious salad, followed by pear gazpacho and cured mackerel. He then served us a superb pressed pork dish with pickled beetroots & cauliflower with soy. He finished with a piece of steamed turbot with greens and an anchovy cream sauce. It was delicious. He was classically trained in Italy but loves Spain. First time we haven’t had his meatballs in almond cream! It made a nice change to sit in and chat to him as he prepared the food. Great night, thank you so much. 😊

Fabrizio’s food is anything but ordinary. You can tell this chef puts a lot of attention into their menu and has unique creations as well as fearless and playful takes on classics. An absolute MUST TRY for Xabia. I’m looking forward to going back again, possibly in the next few days, to try more delicious dishes.

Lovely location but I just don’t understand their concept.. the meat dishes were drenched in heavy sauces and the spaghetti seemed fried/burned? Is it supposed to be Italian tapas? It didn’t make sense to me.. Wines were fine though.

At 9 donde Fabrizio you are in for a unique experience. Set in a living room like atmosphere, the restaurant presents a cozy and vibrant atmosphere to enjoy delicate food prepared by the chef. Everything is freshly made and depending on your order, you may have to wait a little while, but this is the price you pay for getting high quality food. On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. A must vist in Xabía if you are looking for that unique experience. I highly recommend the Wellington bacalao.

This place was amazing, everything we had was so beautiful and delicious… 100% recommended (we had the risotto and the pork), everything was perfect, including our server.

The waitresses are really nice but the food very disappointing. Ordered pasta with lemon and anchovis. Got a lot of cornflakes in my pasta and pine nuts. But haven’t tasted any lemon nor anchovis.

This place is a gem. Placed right in the heart of the old town of Jávea, it offers a great and practical location. The tapas was very delicate and tasty, offering a wide variety of small dishes to enjoy. The place has a cozy setting and environment with friendly and welcoming staff. It is overall a sophisticated and authentic place that is definitely worth a visit!

We hadn’t booked anywhere this evening and after trying a few places this was the only one that had space. We had Tequenos which were ok but were served with guacamole that was overwhelmed by the taste of onion. Patatas bravas were unlike any i have had before , more like potatoes in a sweet baked bean style tomato coating and served with aioli, unfortunately the Aioli tasted like it was made with old garlic , and did not taste nice and left a bad aftertaste. We also had padron peppers , these had been deep fried and were over cooked , soggy and just tasted of oil and for some reason were served with nacho chips. We really didn’t enjoy the food but this place does have other good reviews so perhaps we just had a really bad experience. On the plus side the beer was good although they only serve bottles not draught , and you can’t really go wrong with bottled beer. it’s not expensive and the portions size was large The location is nice but staff were not particularly friendly and we wouldn’t rush back Star rating amended as I may have been overly harsh initially

I dont know how these people got this job, pizza is disgusting. Ordered 10 pizza’s, they all tasted like they were out of the freezer without baking. Would not recommend anyone, only if you like puking.

The breakfast was lovely, but the lady serving us was not the friendliest of people I ever come across. Rolling eyes when I tried to explain what we wanted to order... Now I get it, I don't speak Spanish, but nevertheless I tried to explain in Spanish what we wanted... very slowly, possibly not all correct, but she just wouldn't try to help at all. So generally for me not the greatest of attitudes but breakfast was very good.

After 2,5 hours we have finally got our pizza’s. What a shame because our pizzas were less cooked than the boxes they came in…. Unfortunately we have to give 1 star, they don’t even deserve that, the food was crap.

Before we leave, we always post a review of the standout spots… or the ones that disappointed. Sadly, this one falls into the second category. Both of their locations have the same core issue: surface-level flash, zero real soul. The drinks look good on social media, but they don’t live up to the price or the presentation. And behind the bar? A revolving door. Staff come and go so fast, it’s honestly hard to keep track of who’s working. Puesto 7, in particular, is rough — understaffed constantly, and the tension is obvious. You can feel that no one’s supported here. The environment is clearly draining. There is one guy — wears glasses, actually makes decent drinks, friendly — but it’s hard to take him seriously when he’s constantly brown-nosing the owner. It’s a weird dynamic that spills into the customer experience. He trauma-dumps way too much and turns a simple drink order into something awkward. We’ve seen this kind of setup before — an owner more concerned with image than quality, and it always ends the same way: good staff leave, vibes go stale, and the drinks stop evolving. The only consistent thing? The glasses. Cute, sure. But you can’t drink glassware.

Really tasty food and friendly service at this cute and stylish venue in the old Mercado. We tried the quesadillas and the veggie burger, both delicious. They also do a good cocktail and gin range.

Every time i have visited it has been a fantastic experience. I love the idea of modern cocktail bar inside the traditional market square! You need to try the Sangrias! As they say in spanish: Un Diez!

What a Find!!! We saw this online but were not sure what to expect. We love the market food vibe but this place has a terrace outside and we spent a lovely evening chatting to other diners and enjoying the amazing food. The food was super fresh and creative. The wine was superb. Service was really attentive and friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough.

We stumbled accidently upon Puesto 7 while wandering around the old town and we were happy we did. Friendly service, much needed, ice cold drinks and delicious tapas. The highlight were the pizza style flatbreads topped with their homemade pulled pork, cheese and BBQ sauce, we also had the cheese and leek and will return next time to work our way through the menu!

This is the second time i went to this Restaurant and it is still amazing. The poke bowl that i ordered was amazing. Great taste! The service was a little slow but in my opinion its understandable since it had a lot of people. The ambience was.. i wouldn’t say alright. The music was quite loud and it was difficult to understand others well or hold conversations. Overall, i still recommend this restaurant!

Good bar on front at Arenal. Location over looking beach and drinks great with happy Hour until 7pm. Music very good while people watching. I returned later in summer and Great atmosphere. Much busier and staff always friendly. Good service and enjoyable environment.

AVOID!!!!! First visit perfect, great service and honest pricing at Happy Hour. Second visit, service fine but when the bill arrived we were ripped off by the older guy in glasses on the smoking animal head kids cocktails. They scammed my family €15 per drink when the previous visit the same juice was only €6 each. We questioned this but totally dismissed by the guy in glasses. I would avoid at all costs as they clearly have an agenda to rip of tourists in here!! Avoid

Great place to eat delicious Sushi in an awesome display! Desserts are also magnificent, tasty and well presented. Finally, staff is lovely and polite. Well recommended overall.

Staff are fabulous, quick seating, drinks came very quickly, cocktail a bit longer to arrive but not longer than expected. Waiting staff were prompt and friendly. No mistakes on the order. Food excellent, so much so that we returned several times during our stay. Great priced beer at €2.50 a pint of carlsberg. Happy hour 12pm until 7pm. Salmon Teriyaki was awesome, vegetarians will be pleased that veggie burgers are Beyond Burgers, one of the best veggie burgers available. Table for four with drinks was €120. Fantastic value at Fanatical Xabia.

Lots of choice of food, including a large sushi menu , drink prices for wine and beer were very cheap when compared to neighbouring places. Decor was tasteful and elegant in a great spot along the busy promenade. Service was quick and friendly. Sushi was fresh and steaks were fairly cheap but of great quality! One thing I would just say is that the wagyu is a great price but does not come with anything and it’s maybe not the cut you would expect , it comes in thin strips to be cooked on a hot stone. This is not describe on the menu or by staff , just a heads up !

Brilliant decoration, atmosphere and the staff are so nice! Food was great and it was lovely to have breakfast with sea views! In the evening the place is all lit up with fairy lights which makes it very magical. My favourite place in javea for sure

Here are the facts......ordered 2 small beers (around 5.30pm) that were delivered 3/4 full. Didn't really think anything of it (Brit...weights & measures & all that!!!). Moments later, same beer delivered to a Spanish gentleman on the next table full to the top. Go figure

Lovely place! The garden out the back is such a good place to get sun in Javea port in the evening. Would definitely recommend over other places in the port. Go round the back to get the evening sun in the garden. Loads of tables so good for big groups too. The staff are so friendly and the service is great.

We always travelled to Cheers Bar in Javea from Jalon Valley. Mainly to watch Aston Villa play football. Also very friendly bar staff and great atmosphere. Devastated when it closed down last year, BUT it's reopened just the same as was and it's great! Our compliments to the new landlord and landlady, they seem really lovely 😊 Jennie & Robert

Dart worked in the end when more people wanted to play, even though I was told it's broken by the staff (not too many darts though 4 ok ones), Kicker, Pooltable (if free, dint know how many köhls are ok), but love the idea of so many games in a bar. And a round for 1 € is more than adequate

Like a proper friendly boozer, this place has owned the sport cast, tonnes of screens covering all you want to watch. Affordable bar, space to mingle and a pool table to boot. Very good sports bar, very good positioning, we wanted to amuse our friend Mendes, and we went to play foosball, not a lot of pressing but accuracy when scoring some goals, overall at the end, of course The Avenger won, even when he lost, he won. Very good vibe, we were hoping to hear when we entered ,"Nooooooorm" but nothing happened, the owner's name is not even Sam Malone. We came as well to play pool, and to reserve the table we had to put on the table 1€, we left it there and the coin was absorbed by the table and they didn't call us, so we played dices the whole night, a very competitive one, but at the end the superior race won. Mendes annoyed but this says " Cheers is not a bar, Cheers is a Bodega" Though overall is a very good place to stay in, plenty of activities, sports everywhere, even darts, if you want to play while waiting forever for a chance to play some pool. Mendes right now likes to mention the ventilation system a lot, it was uneven, the lighting noticeable, sound system with some covers and reggea, and good WiFi, since our flat has none. One curious fact, is a great place to bring your Tinder date, because a girl was waiting for someone, and ordered two drinks... Let's say one drink was never drank, the only thing that disappeared inside the glass was the ice. This way Cheers is not where everybody knows your name, but come until you're noticeable

I rarely go to British style bars in Javea but I was invited by my future son in law to watch the F1 Spanish grand prix. The prices are far below the other bars in the resort, a warm welcome and a no nonsense limited menu. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will return to this very good sports bar in the near future.

We had such a wonderful time on our cycling tour in Jávea with Siesta Advisor! We joined the Mirador Tour, which was the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. The route took us along the coast and through stunning viewpoints where we could really take in the beauty of Jávea — every stop seemed more breathtaking than the last! Our guide, Natali, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of fun stories and interesting facts about the area. You could tell she really loves what she does and knows all the best hidden spots. She made the whole experience feel personal and special. The tour was easy to follow and perfectly paced, ideal for families, casual riders, or anyone who just wants to explore Jávea in a more active and scenic way. We finished the ride with huge smiles and so many great memories (and photos!). Highly recommended — this was one of the highlights of our trip to Jávea! 🚴‍♀️🌞🌊

We had such a fun kayak tour with a group of 5 friends! The welcome was warm and the instructions were clear (with a few jokes in between, which made it even more relaxed). The guides, William and Arthuro, had a great sense of what the group needed and adjusted the pace accordingly. We visited two stunning spots – a cave and a hidden beach that you can only reach from the water. You could also go snorkeling and cliff jumping here. William was very friendly and welcoming, took some great photos of our group, and shared nice conversations about the area. Had an awesome time out on the water with Siesta Advisor. The whole tour was super chilled and such a fun way to see a different side of the coastline – the water was insanely clear, and getting to explore the caves was a real highlight. Big shoutout to William and David, who made the day even better. They were both so easygoing and fun, and just made the whole group feel included the whole time. You could tell they knew the area inside out, and they were great at pointing things out along the way without overloading it with info – just the right balance. Honestly the best experience from start to finish. If you’re thinking about doing it, go for it – and fingers crossed you get William and David as your guides!

If you’re visiting Jávea, you absolutely have to book an adventure with Siesta Advisor! Their kayak and e-bike trips were some of the best experiences of our holiday. We started with the Mirador e-bike adventure (about 25km) with Henrik, and it was just breathtaking. The route was stunning, and with the powerful e-bikes it was easy and enjoyable — highly recommended! The next day we joined the Tango Kayak tour with Levi, which was incredible. Going early at 9am is definitely the way to go — the sea was calm and clear. The trip included cliff diving, snorkelling, and fascinating insights about the area, all led by a fantastic guide. We wrapped up with a kayak trip in Granadella Bay with William and Lucas, and it was the highlight of our time in Spain. The caves, snorkelling, cliff diving, and turquoise waters were unforgettable — and the guides were outstanding, making sure everyone felt safe, comfortable, and had fun throughout. I can’t recommend Siesta Advisor enough — every trip was well organized, adventurous, and so much fun. A must-do in Jávea!

I had such a great time on this kayak tour! The views were absolutely amazing and the whole experience was a lot of fun. Our guides, Guillem and Arturo, were fantastic - so patient, friendly, and really made the trip enjoyable. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a mix of adventure and beautiful scenery!

I booked this kayak experience after reading the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor and if I'm honest I was skeptical it would meet the hype.... however it was incredible and highly recommended. The whole crew were great, warm welcome from Tomas with clear guidance before getting in the water and put guides Guillem and Levi were brilliant, we were well taken care of the whole time. Special shout out to Levi who helped out with my daughter after having a panic attack when swimming into the small cave, I'm so very grateful for this 🙌🏻 Not forgetting the stunning location, a totally unforgettable experience!

Very disappointing! The Dj was terrible, the drinks were expensive and the premium alcohol they serve is not real, you pay premium price but get cheap alcohol. If you want to have a terrible night, this is the place to be!

Good atmosphere when DJs play but sound system is like old one and it blasts your ears out ! Apparently it's new !!! The staff are mostly friendly but service can be slow sometimes when it's busy . Drinks overpriced for area . Toilets could be cleaner with toilet paper and towels . Take your own loo roll ! Overall the place has great decor and vibe and is sea front .

What a gem! Location, tunes, atmosphere, quality of food all amazing. Brioche steak tartar a must try and my fussy eating son loved his hamburger.

Love it here. Right on the beach one side the other where the boats and jet skies leave from . Lovely views either side. Good staff, good drinks som nice food and chilled music. Defo worth a visit or more!

We loved everything about this place! The food was delicious, the best we are in Javea and we were here for 4 weeks, slightly more than you'd normally pay but significantly better quality and taste. Friendly service and perfect relaxed location next to the river and beach. Highly recommended.

The place is nearly empty, there are at least five people working up front, a couple in the back, and it’s taken 15 minutes waiting (after ordering) for our first drink and 25 minutes for our second drink. A shame because it is a decent location but the service is miserable.

Visited when visiting family in Spain. Unfortunately had a really bad experience when we visited. The pool didn’t seem very clean but the worst part was that I ordered a dish that listed only vegetarian ingredients however when it arrived it had meat in it. As a vegetarian I should have asked just to be sure and they did agree to make me a new dish but one of the staff members said something very rude about me in Spanish not realising my brother who I was with is fluent in spanish. She was told to be quiet by another member of staff who knew my brother could understand her. Really wasn’t a pleasant experience and i felt very uncomfortable after that.

Not an impressive place, just like a large tent. Snack food obviously precooked, chicken raw on the bone, plates cold. Drinks - ran out of draught beer and coca cola. Charged 3 euro for a very small bottle of coke. A definite rip off.

Lovely large outdoor bar restaurant with a pool. Attached to go carting so you could have a nice day out here. We only had a drink but will be back to drive the go carts. The drinks were slightly more than going to a typical Spanish bar but was worth it. Views are lovely surrounded by mountains. Was clean and staff were friendly.

Great pool for young kids. And they have a bouncy castle.

Sorry to make a negative. But the food was probably the worst we have ever eaten in Spain. And some of the more than folk was almost as bad...

A nice outdoor space in the summer with a swimming pool next to the tables. Also a pleasant indoor space good for events/ gigs.. but the staff always seem disorganised and they have a tendency to ignore customers.
