No Black Tie, a stylish jazz club in the Klang Valley, has been hosting local and international jazz acts since 1998. This iconic venue is renowned for its intimate atmosphere and live music performances. It also serves set menu dinner courses and a variety of drinks. Located in Changkat Bukit Bintang, it offers an alternative to electronic music with occasional poetry readings by local writers.
Well-known Jazz bar with fabulous acoustics. Live shows by some of the genre's best. As long as you don't move once seated, you can overlook the tightly squeezed setup. Food was exquisite. Must try the set dinners

Taste: 3/5 Portion: 4/5 Ambience: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Price: 3/5 Great place if you like live jazz music. Just don’t bother to dine there. Food is pretty good but service really needs to buck up. They’re quite disorganised when it comes to dinner arrangements (not that there were many dinner patrons). They should really think of improving the processes. Pre-bought dinner with show according to the website yet when arrived, told that the show was free and no reservations on the seats. So we’re supposed to eat and then jostle for space??? Odd. Dinner reservation list was not immediately available and they had to scamper around to find it. So happened that there was a power outage that day and they didn’t even have the courtesy to offer complimentary water to compensate for the stuffy evening.
Snakeeyes 8 — Google review
Cool bar with jazz. They have live band almost every night. We were lucky, the band were really good. Cool environment. We had GT:s, not the best ones but definitely drinkable. I recommend you to go there if you like to have a smooth night.
Mattias S — Google review
Nice cozy place with good music! Small setup which is great to get up close and personal with the musicians. Great acoustics as well! Make sure to get tickets online to catch these musicians before they're sold out! Fun night with the right kind of Jazz!
Cee E — Google review
Very cool atmosphere. Mostly visited by westerners, but also spotted a few asians. Food is average. Place is pricey. But if you are willing to pay an admission fee you can have a good time here.
Stephen G — Google review
Great venue for jazz or any live music. Artfully designed interior and friendly staff. Fazztastic show 10/17/‘19
Jay S — Google review
I rally liked the atmosphere but the place is really cramped and chairs are uncomfortable to sit on a few hours ! Based on their website the performance was suppose to start at 9 but it only started at 10 PM! The sound system was not good for such a small place and we couldn't really hear what the singer was singing! We ordered the brownie with ice cream but it was basically a default chocolate bar!
SAnAz E — Google review
Great bar, good ambiance and great selection of drinks. If you like jazz this is the place to go, fantastic bands playing weekly. I'm only giving it 4 stars because they have the most uncomfortable chairs in Malasyia and it makes it hard to sit for more than one hour.

Live music venue
Bobo KL is a charming live performance venue located on the serene Jalan Bangkung street. The atmospheric space features an intimate restaurant on the ground level and a cozy entertainment area upstairs, where guests can enjoy music and comedy acts while savoring international cuisine. Renowned local singer, actor, and dancer Sean Ghazi curates the music programming at Bobo KL, ensuring top-notch performances.
What a delightful evening! The venue is lovely! Cozy, stylish, and full of character. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, and the Cantonese Opera was both charming and beautiful. Such a refreshing experience. Thank you, BoboKL!
Sab A — Google review
This is my second time at Bobo and it changed my first impression of the place when the owner was different. Loved the kindness and hospitality shown by the new owners and their attentive staff and will definitely be back to enjoy more shows after watching Dasha Logan’s awesome performance….loved every minute of her show and her very talented pianist 😍👏🏽
USHAVATHY P — Google review
Cozy place to enjoy the show. Enjoying my very first sketch comedy, really full of laughter and highlights for a 2h shows. Oh yeah, remember to pre-book their recommended nasi lemak to wrap up the night.
Ivy S — Google review
I recently visited Bobo KL with my partner for their Elton John night. The band put on a great performance and brought a lot of energy to the room, which helped create a really nice atmosphere. It was clear that everyone was having a good time. We didn’t order any food, but we did have some wine, which was enjoyable. The venue seats around 60-80 people, so it felt just the right size—not too crowded, but still lively. The place itself has a cool and fun vibe. Overall, I’d be happy to come back for another show. It’s a good spot if you’re looking for live music in a fun setting.

1st time visit this space for a Musical Performance. The cocktail are special and with a twist of local ingredient ie limau kasturi, asam boi. The Tapas & snacks are prepared when order so its served hot. The Chicken skewer is so good ! crispy skin yet tender meat and so well marinated. The fried fresh Jalapeño has a very thin coated flour but its was just crunchy and yet the chili was just cooked. The cheese ball has burst out feel so better eat slowly. 7th Aug 2025

Nice ambience. Went for Fakkah Fuzz’s show. Every Wednesday is their comedy nite. As usual, Rizal is a superb host.

This place is really very nice. We attended an Elvira Arul concert and it was great! What an atmosphere 🤩🤩 In addition, the service during the concert was very well organized and we had a great time. To do again 😃
Sophie C — Google review
Was here for the Final Fantasy show & really enjoyed myself. Even before the day of the event, BoboKL kept us updated on the dos & donts, what food was unavailable, reminded that it may get chilly, etc. I really liked how the show started on time. While not a Final Fantasy fan, I did enjoy the band & the performance. The only thing I would 'bising' about would be the seating. It was so cramped that I was literally rubbing elbows with a stranger, not a total turn-off but couldn't 100% relax in my seat as I may bump into the next person. That aside, I would come again for their other shows.

Nestled in a mall, The Bee @ Publika is not your average bar and restaurant. It offers an international menu and serves as a vibrant hub for various forms of entertainment. From disco-themed nights to comedy acts and live music performances by both local talents and international artists like Onra, The Temper Trap, and Tennyson, there's always something exciting happening here.
Went there to watch a comedy show @Rachman Blake nice place, staff are very friendly and approachable. The guy who was checking our tickets he's very friendly not sure if he's the manager or the owner. Overall experience it was awesome.
Mica P — Google review
I went here to see a music performance, and everything about the artist and the performance was alright, with some aspects being perfect. The staff was also nice, and the prices were acceptable. The venue is located in a mall that has shops and a food court, allowing you to wait comfortably before the music starts. However, it can be difficult to access public transportation, and it tends to get quite hot and uncomfortable when the place is crowded.
Kindlerella C — Google review
The place is more alive at night. Had a food tasting event at this place and we tried out the Bee’s Classic Nachos, Grilled Chicken New Orleans and Spaghetti Aglio Olio. The nachos is a must-try here cz it’s crispy, fresh aand cheesy (but not too overwhelming).
Iris 0 — Google review
Attended the Elijah Wood concert, the entire place during the concert was so freaking hot. Hosting up to 500 pax one would expect the environment to be cool and comfortable for the audience, but no... All standing some more and so close of a proximity (shoulder to shoulder)... imagine the heat....#freesauna Pros - Good parking area - Lots of good food around to eat
Adel — Google review
First time to the bee, there was a concert which was nice. I was looking more for an outdoor seating, so I was greeted with really friendly staff. They gave me a table and let me know what’s good. Good services for sure. But omg the prices... went up the roof. RM19 for truffle fries but it was good. Sangria was RM60 for a jug. Plus tax- it’s almost rm100! Gotta think twice about coming here next time. Definitely broke af from just drinks and small portion of fries.
Lilian S — Google review
The Best of All Worlds First off, this is a review of their delivery service and not their dine-in. A place to be seen at pre-pandemic, bustling with live performances and entertainment with a cool and chic environment nestled within The Publika. How do they fare in a delivery service? Service: We placed the order via a third party app which was pretty straight forward. Packaging: They arrived in pretty standard take-away boxes Build your own pasta (Rm 35.90) What we personally love about building our own pasta, is the fact that we can make it as flavourful and tasty as possible (although most of the time it may not necessarily mean healthy). Today’s pasta was constructed on a Aglio Olio foundation cooked Al dente and topped with tender, peppery grilled chicken with a slightly crispy skin. This was accompanied by a generous amount of juicy beef bacon with some fat attached adding flavour to the dish. Completing the dish was a downpour of aromatic fried onions, garlic and crunchy mushrooms. Recommended? For picky and selective eaters such as ourselves, this proved to be a perfect customisable dish. More photos and videos are available on Instagram and YouTube (@monk3yseendo)
MONK3YSEENDO — Google review
I went there for the first time, had the very poor quality fish and chips, and they dare to charge that kind of price, omg... The performer in that night was Rainbow Children, because of the sound system is well below par for a live room, I wasn't really enjoy their show though this band still keep their high level of standard that night. I would waste my money for any show at this place in future.
Savid O — Google review
The Bee is a very interesting venue. Part bar. Part restaurant. Part performance and dance venue. I was there for the Hu. The acoustics of the venue was surprisingly good. Place is easy to get to also. Will return and try their food on my next visit.

Merdekarya is a cozy, unpretentious bar and live music venue located in Petaling Garden, PJ. The atmosphere is laid-back and indie, with repurposed furniture and hand-drawn murals adorning the walls. The venue offers a platform for local musicians to showcase their original material, featuring acoustic performances as well as occasional rock bands. Open mic sessions provide aspiring singer-songwriters with an opportunity to share their talent.
Awesome space for the local music scene . Was there to watch my favorite band perform. No cover charge. You get a drink and u tip the musicians. They've got upstairs (music performance space) and downstairs where you wait before performance begins

Best spot in PJ for indie live music. Great bands, chill vibes, cocktails, beers and srumptious snacks. A must visit for music lovers.
Yeye — Google review
Great atmosphere and affordable drinks as well. Tuak, langkau, beer and special cocktails were available among others and everything was pretty affordable. Bartenders were friendly and took care of any questions i had about the menu in a prompt and friendly manner. Soundsystem and bands were great too. Good vibes overall. Will definitely be back for more!

Live band here..undisputably e best in town even standing ovation from Coldplay. OmG. Finally I found a place to hang out. Music to the ears.
TERRY C — Google review
Great local artists perform here, This place hits a different vibe. Humble bartenders and service team. Some lip smacking snacks and finger food, the Maggi Goreng Kambing is a must try and Tuak (Home made Rice wine) has a killer kick to it. Overall a hole in the wall neighbourhood bar with a heart and soul.

Place like this is a gem. Hidden yet the place is a decent sized. I love how they invite different performers to perform in a Cosy environment. The way how the seats are would be great for small group or even individuals who wanna just have a chill night after work You can enjoy good music when just ordering drinks or food. But they really take a long time to serve luckily we weren't hangry. Tip the musician if you love them! Their apple crumble & indomie goreng mushrooms are recommended;)))
Pui L — Google review
Great place that has only gotten better over the years. They have beefed up their food and bar menu since too. Haven't tried their food yet but their tuak selection is fun,as is their ginger beer. Most of all, they support local musicians, has good sound and prices of both gig entry and f&b are super reasonable, especially in this economy. Would be happy to recommend and head back there
N Z — Google review
The place was rather hidden and short-staffed. Food was fine. Nothing fancy though. Went for the band that played there. But the tuak was really good and they have excellent ginger beer. Perhaps due to the limited seats, it was pretty crowded, especially when the band started playing.

Taps Beer Bar, established by MyBeer Sdn Bhd in 2011, is a pioneer in the craft beer scene in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia. The flagship outlet offers a wide selection of beers with 14 taps and an assortment of bottles and cans from various parts of the world. Additionally, its newer location at Plaza Arkadia boasts an even larger taplist with 30 craft beers on draft.
Alright, so Taps Beer Bar is pretty cool! They’ve got some tasty food and a seriously good range of beers. If you’re into stronger stuff, their cocktails hit the spot too. The crew there is super friendly, which is always a plus. And here’s a sweet deal: drop over RM 200, and you’re in the club for a 10% discount. Definitely a solid spot to chill and grab some drinks!

A great place to grab a craft beer in Kuala Lumpur. Well located, with a great selection of both draft beers and cans, delicious food and spectacular live music. Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere, you couldn't ask for more.

I had a fantastic experience at Tap Beer Bar! The selection of craft beers was impressive, offering a wide variety of local and international brews. The atmosphere was lively yet cozy, making it a perfect spot to hang out with friends or unwind after a long day. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, eager to recommend beers based on my taste preferences.

Awesome beer bar.. 10 fresh beers on draught plus several in the fridge. OK selection of spirits etc. Good atmosphere with surprisingly good live music on evening I visited (Sunday). Will definitely revisit when in the area and super close to street food street.. Would highly recommend..

We had a wonderful experience at Taps Beer Bar in Bukit Bintang! 🍻 The service staff were extremely helpful in assisting us with choosing the right beers, patiently explaining the different options and making sure we enjoyed our picks. Their friendliness made us feel really welcomed. On top of that, the live band was absolutely amazing with talented artists who created such a relaxing and enjoyable vibe throughout the night. 🎶 It was the perfect balance of great drinks, attentive service, and soothing live music. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a chill spot with quality craft beers and a lively yet laid-back atmosphere!
Anba — Google review
Great venue, good beers, good music, best service. Bartender took time to walk me through their bottle selection since they had no menu. Went on our last night in KL looking for a chill place to wind down from hectic three days and the venue exceeded expectations. The menu was quite ample for a beer pub. Wife loved the apple-mango and apple-lychee ciders. I went with a draft IPA from Malaysia that was delicious and the bartender got me to try a NZ hazy IPA that was spot on. Would definitely recommend stopping by. Craft beers are not inexpensive but the experience was a good value.
Juan M — Google review
As you go in, you feel the great atmosphere with a live band. The bar ofter bottles and cans as long as draught beers. They only serve 1 size. Beers on draughts aren't outstanding but it's hard to find better in Malaysia.
Max C — Google review
Went to Taps for the beer, and fell in foody love with a pizza 😍. The capriossa pizza was almost perfection with a crusty crunchy, but soft in the middle outter crust and the rest was a delightful mix of fresh, tasty and hot ingredients. Helped down by some nice beers and a lot of choices for them was a big bonus. Definitely going back

Pisco Bar is a trendy and popular spot in Kuala Lumpur, known for its urban and delightful atmosphere that attracts expats, foreign visitors, and locals. The bar features live music performances by some of the trendiest DJs in town, creating an energetic vibe where guests can dance while enjoying their cocktails. With a capacity for up to 250 people spread over two floors, Pisco Bar also offers an elevated stage indoors for hosting various events such as parties, product launches, movie screenings, and performances.
I’m from Chile and of Spanish descent, and as someone who is very picky about pisco sour, ceviche and spanish tortilla, it’s incredible to say that I can truly recommend this place. This is the closest thing to the real deal I’ve had in Southeast Asia! The experience was amazing—thank you for creating a space that genuinely cares about serving authentic food and staying 100% true to its original spirit.
Gabriel A — Google review
Nice Peruvian/tapas restaurant in KL. Nice atmosphere & friendly staff. Yuzu Margaritas were delicious, pisco sour was a nice flavour but had ice in it. It's not an over ice drink. The food was good, and tacos were delicious & enjoyed the ceviche. The only thing that let it down was that there was an error with my order. I wanted a single 1 person cevice, and the waiter put in a 2 person trio of cevice. When the food came out, we said that we didn't order it. There was a little commotion with staff, and the waiter came over to ask us to have the dish anyway, but it was quite different in price and contained elements I didn't want. He was quite insistent as it was already made, and we said we would take it if we had to but didn't want to pay for a dish for two when we didn't order it and it wasn't meant for sharing. He then said he would give us some money back when we paid, which he did, but the whole interaction was very strange and a bit awkward.

Not that I am used to such an atmosphere because suddenly I feel like perhaps I am more quiet, book reading and sipping coffee kind of person. Nonetheless, the food was great and there were interesting people and the crowd I was observing. Music loud and good so yea party away people!

Nice place, friendly personel but sometimes to close. Gif is time to look at the menu. Because of the nice plants away from the street. Food was good but pisco sour could be bether.

I came here for a few drinks but did not have food. The Atmosphere was great and I had a lot of fun here but the cocktail was being served very slow. Me and my friend waited over 10 mins for 2 cocktails each time everytime i ordered. The bartender seem to get distracted very easily. Otherwise we like it here alot.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Pisco Bar in Kuala Lumpur, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The moment I walked in, I was struck by the bar's vibrant atmosphere - the dim lighting, the stylish decor, and the lively buzz of conversation all combined to create a truly electric ambiance. But what really stole the show was the incredible selection of cocktails. I opted for one of their signature Pisco-based drinks, and it was truly outstanding - expertly crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The bartender's skill and knowledge were evident in every sip. Overall, I would highly recommend Pisco Bar to anyone looking for a top-notch cocktail experience in Kuala Lumpur. The combination of great drinks, great atmosphere, and friendly, knowledgeable staff makes it a must-visit destination for any cocktail enthusiast.

Well the vibe here is fantastic but the management must change the music concept to a more retro beat or perhaps disco... otherwise will be sitting n just boozing all night long...
Aruna — Google review
Didn't feel it's as authentic as Vermuth Next door. Feels like a local bar that's just named pisco and just trys to put live up to the south American name, as I've been to Chile & even experienced more authentic outlets in Asia named Pisco. But would still give a good rating on Tho the cocktails were v good Coffee negroni, pisco elderflower Tempe skewer was 👍🏻

The venue features a laid-back outdoor seating area where local bands play various genres like rock, reggae, blues, and jazz to cater to everyone's tastes. A quiet and hidden bar in Hartamas with the best live band in town almost everyday. Fresh beers from the tap and the liquors here make you buzzing with the songs and ambience. Food here is always delicious and tastes the same every time you visit. A good hangout spot any other day with your mates or partner. Lookout for Darren Perreira for table reservations

It's a proper cozy pub, the kind with dim lighting, and it's perfect for catching up with friends. The staff are super friendly and always on top of things. A great spot for a relaxed night out

I found this pub randomly on google as I wanted to take my dad to a place that has live music after our dinner at Desa Sri Hartamas. Coincidentally, Backyard was just 1 min walk away and they have live music Mon- Fridays! I what’s app to book a table, and the manager Darren was super nice and accommodating. When i texted him last minute (the same day) to ask if they serve any dessert which can also be substituted as a birthday cake - our friend went a yard further by offering to purchase a cake on my behalf! i was truly surprised but warmth by his kindness. Darren also arranged for the band to play the birthday song while he presents the cake and trying to lit all 74 candles simultaneously! what a rockstar. service is excellent, we were very well taken care of and the duo band entertained us well. we also played a game of pool (there was 2 tables) just for fun. highly recommend this pub and my friends say their food is pretty good too. hopefully, i get to return another day to try!

My first time travelling after the pandemic. And my first time in KL. This is the first bar my friend and I went to. The people were nice and polite. They also had live musicians playing. The sound was great. There was a pool table. Anything goes... The whiskey sour could be better, though. And the drink I wanted wasn't on that night (would've been a 5)... But they were quick to offer recommendations. A little pricey, but the food was really good. And, we had a really nice time. Hopefully, I can go back there, soon. 😊😊😊

If pub cover music top 40 musicians has a home ground, this would be it. Many top performers have played this stage. Food is good and music is always good. Vibe is not the same anymore after COVID but still a nice place to hang among people who go to pubs for the music. Good pool players hang here too as they often battle it out.

Alexis Bistro @ Bangsar has been a staple in the dining and entertainment scene since 1995, drawing in food enthusiasts and music aficionados alike. The bistro hosts live jazz performances by both local and international artists every Friday and Saturday, creating a vibrant atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.
What really stood out was the teamwork among the staff the 2 guy in black uniform and the tall guy in white uniform —everyone seemed to communicate seamlessly, and the service felt smooth and well-coordinated. Even quite a busy time rainy day, they remained professional, patient, and pleasant. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here. Great food is important the vietnamese beef noodles are very subtle to warmth you in cold gloomy night, but outstanding service like this really brings it all together. Kudos to the manager and team for their hard work and hospitality!

Step into a magical realm at The Iron Fairies in Kuala Lumpur, where you'll find yourself surrounded by enchanting decor and whimsical touches. This bar boasts a ceiling adorned with 500 metallic butterflies, walls lined with glittering fairy dust, and an atmosphere reminiscent of a den filled with fairies and wizardry. I like the decor and the atmosphere here. Drinks are generally good, with some nice house specials cocktails. The live bands are very good too and i enjoy visiting bars with good live music. The only bad experience I had was I went with a group of friends (who are travellers) and we had requested they split the bills as some of the friends do not have cash and wanted to pay with their cards and the server refused and asked that we split it ourselves. Other than that one time, all good.

Bad service, we came at 2am on weekend night yes i know youre tired but you should still be profesional if you want people to leave fast then say “we are closing , cannot order anymore” . You expect 2 people to drink 3 alcohol in 30 minutes? We pay hundreds you know ? Not rm30 …the waiter make annoyed face and didnt ask how the service was, straight away show receipt and walk away after took money. But i think only 1 waiter is problem , the another one is very good always serve us nicely.

Drinks so sweet. Extra super duper sweet, if you get what I mean. Staff were rude, some nice, some just not hospitable. Ladies drink can forget it. Even the ladies didn’t want it, and the staff threatened to charge the men RM20 who wanted to just taste why the drink suck. Even free, we didn’t want to drink. Our tone shows our dissatisfaction with this bar, we didn’t even finish our drinks. Btw, we also bought and paid for drinks for the ladies which they only took a sip too. Plus it was a quiet Thursday.

American restaurant
Hard Rock Cafe is a rock 'n' roll-themed chain that offers a high-energy atmosphere and serves classic American favorites along with local flavors. Founded by Isaac Tigret and Peter Morton, the brand has expanded to 191 locations in 59 countries, including cafes, hotels, and casinos. The Kuala Lumpur location, established in 1991, features popular alcoholic cordials like Electric Blue and Mango Tequila Sunrise.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had an awesome time at Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur! The atmosphere was electric from the moment we stepped in—great music, friendly staff, and that signature Hard Rock vibe that never disappoints. We went during our stay in Kuala Lumpur, and it was the perfect way to wind down after a long day of exploring. The live band was incredible—full of energy and talent, and they really kept the crowd engaged throughout the night. The playlist was a mix of rock classics and crowd favorites that had everyone singing along. Food was delicious and portion sizes were generous. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Our server checked in often, gave great recommendations. If you’re visiting KL and love good music, tasty food, and a lively atmosphere, Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur is a must-visit. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!
Nur R — Google review
Visited Hard Rock Café Kuala Lumpur recently great atmosphere, iconic rock-themed décor, and friendly staff. The music is exactly what you'd expect: bold, loud, and full of energy. Food was decent too classic Hard Rock burgers, good portions, and cold drinks. It’s a fun spot to chill if you're in the city and want that signature Hard Rock vibe. If you’ve been to the Hard Rock in Genting at Wyndham, you’ll immediately notice the difference and honestly, Genting takes it to the next level. The overall ambiance there feels more polished and lively, the crowd more upbeat, and the service a notch higher. Plus, the cool mountain air and scenic backdrop make the experience feel a lot more premium and relaxed at the same time. While Hard Rock KL is a solid choice for a night out in the city, Hard Rock Genting @ Wyndham easily outshines it in terms of both atmosphere and overall experience. If you have to choose one go for Genting.

Set lunch is worth. Quarter BBQ grilled chicken with huge sides and good portion. Unlimited refill for soft drinks and lemon tea. However, diet cola will be a one time free drink. Came with carrot cake. What a treat, considering this is Hard Rock. Staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly. 1 star less on all segment. Portion is big, but taste wise can be improved. Service staff attentive, some doesn't understand English? What? Atmosphere, music a little too loud, but they willing to turn it down. Not everyone is having a business conversation at the dinning table yeah.

Had a great time at Hard Rock Cafe Kuala Lumpur! The atmosphere was awesome — relaxed, friendly, and full of good energy even without live music. Our waitress Sharon was an absolute legend — super friendly, quick with service, and made us feel right at home. The food was spot on and came out fast, with generous portions and heaps of flavour. Drinks were icy cold, and the whole place had that classic Hard Rock charm with heaps of memorabilia and a cool layout. Perfect spot to grab a feed, chill out, and enjoy the Hard Rock experience in the middle of KL. Highly recommend it! 🤘

Basically a hype place with below average food. Despite the effort from the chef to create something unique and fusion, for me the food is either too blend or too mixed up in weird taste that does not match and too overlapping the right taste. Crew was awesome to create a lively environment, Kudos to few that even had to dance & entertain patron while preparing food. For me is a one time hit diner, just to see and feel, done and forget kind of place.

Finding Suzie Wong was an adventure, we wandered with a few others also trying to locate it! Hidden and mysterious, it added to the experience. The venue was stunning, and the food delicious. It was pricier than expected, but worth it for a unique, unforgettable night in KL.

The place was nice , the show was fun. The food was awful maybe the worst ever in Malaysia and in life. We tried seafood noodles but the noodles and seafood were emerged in a chicken broth that create a very weird and awful taste . The dish was even bad to look at it (similar to vomit). We highly recommend to remove it from the menu for the sake of culinary basics. The service was good. The waiters were nice but communication wasn’t good , they couldn’t explain the food , ingredients maybe the language was a barrier bcz they couldn’t speak well english. Plus it is an expensive place. You rather go to take drink after dinner.

With a tavern-like ambiance and a hearty menu, it offers a fantastic place to enjoy food and drinks. This branch also hosts live performances by funky bands, making it an ideal spot for a chill night out with friends.
Siew York Rice as lunch set. The meat is cold and tough but still edible. For a change if you enjoy pork for lunch still a good place. But i still need some getting used to having lunch on a bar table.

Had a really bad experience here. Went there for lunch as they sell lunch set menu as well. We ordered on 11.59am and the food only came around 12.50pm. We chased them so many times and all they did was saying that it's coming. Until we can wait no more and said we want to cancel the order only the food came. The staff attitude wasn't nice as well and they just brush us off.

Happened to found this gem during my stay @ VE hotel and residences. A nice place to hang out and chill with friends. Nice vibes with good live band. Food were nice and reasonable priced. Will be back again if I’m back to KL.

Curious to find out more as they serve set lunches. A few choices, to name a few; bbq pork rice, pork chop and even a hakka noodle. It took a short while for the drink and food to arrive. It looked like a smallish portion, but adequate.
Colin T — Google review
It’s too noisy especially when they have a live band. If the vocal said it’s last song, it wasn’t last song even no one requested anchor. The sound system was poor and instrumental parts and vocal were the same volume. So I cannot be patient and my ears were almost broken. The band’s performance was also boring. She sung all the songs in the same way and tone. Nothing original. I went there with my friends we always have fun but not for here. All my friends were getting sleepy even in the very loud atmosphere. I cannot recommend if you want to talk or have fun with friends. I can recommend if you want to enjoy music but not night club.

===17/01/2024 lunch=== Steam chicken rice lunch set RM13 is edible but with tasteless chili sauce. ===07/09/2023 lunch=== The set lunch is now cost RM13 and RM15 for pork chop but no longer as a good as before. The set lunch tastes mediocre. ===3yrs ago=== The weekday set lunch is pretty good and not too expensive. For RM21 you get your a main course, a drink and soup of the day or dessert. You can also opt for a mug of beer, by add on RM5.

Been to this place to listen to their live band. It’s beyond our expectations. The singer knows how to entertain the audiences. Anyway, Live performance starts from 9.30PM to 12.00AM if I’m not mistaken. This place is going to be a spot for me and my friends to have a chill night out later.

Restaurant
Located in Bangsar Shopping Centre, Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar is renowned for its live music entertainment, particularly jazz performances every Friday and Saturday night. The venue has hosted a diverse range of local and international artists, making it a legendary spot for music enthusiasts. In addition to its vibrant music scene, the bistro offers a laid-back dining experience with a mix of traditional and Western cuisine as well as delectable desserts.
lexis Bistro is a gem for food enthusiasts who appreciate authentic flavors and impeccable execution. Their Italian offerings, especially the Margherita pizza and Vongole pasta, are a testament to their culinary expertise. The Margherita pizza is a simple yet flavorful delight, with a perfectly crisp crust, fresh tomato base, and just the right amount of mozzarella. Meanwhile, the Vongole pasta is cooked to perfection, balancing the briny sweetness of clams with al dente pasta and a touch of garlic—absolutely divine. For dessert, the bistro's bestselling Pavlova is a must-try. It’s light, refreshing, and a delightful way to end the meal, with its crisp meringue shell, soft marshmallow-like center, and a medley of fresh fruits and cream. What makes the dining experience even better is the attentive and helpful staff. They ensure you feel welcomed and are always ready with recommendations or adjustments to suit your preferences.

Really nice food in stylish restaurant. Great for casual dining! Mix of western and Malaysian food. The pasta was really great. Carbonara is highly recommend and the ribeye as well. I tried the Nasi Kerabu but didn’t quite love it. We tried the Sarawak Laksa which was surprisingly good, highly recommended. The desserts were amazing however. Pecan pie was fantastic and the coffee was very silky and smooth!

Alexis Bistro is beautifully designed and is a perfect spot for a relaxing meal and conversation. I had the grilled chicken sandwich which I thought was superbly tasty and well done. It came with a side of homemade chips which was very crunchy and is something unique. I was eyeing my neighbours’ cake order and it looked generous and so delicious. I would recommend dining here if you are in Bangsar.

When good food arrived, you just can't help it but to start digging. Only managed to take this photo and it is delish. —carbonara with mushroom and beef bacon. And don't forget to order the tiramisu. It is delicious!

I’ve eaten in Alexis for more than a decade. When it first started, Alexis was a standout with the delicious food and the decadent cakes. Today, Alexis faces stiff competition. Returned for dinner and had the mutton burger and Sarawak laksa. Both were very good. Decided that the cake was a bit too pricey, so we didn’t order. We only ordered two main courses and the bill was over RM100! The decor hasn’t changed for a long time. Maybe it’s time for a refresh.

I usually come here just for tea, but I finally tried the Siam Mee Hoon. The flavor was decent but could use a bit more sourness. Overall, it was okay. However, the service was disappointing. They told us a section was closed and didn’t allow us to sit in the corner—yet there were other guests seated there. Unbelievable

Bistro set in an upmarket mall so it's cool. The food was delicious. Unfortunately the price is more like that of restaurants ( maybe it's the evening menu) and some portions are for fine dining. For the price I've had bigger lamb chops and a full plate of salads

Always supporting local djs and organisers with awesome ambience. What more do you want ?

Fono is an important little place for KL. Run by great people who love the music and support the local community, guaranteed quality events and great vibes, unlike most places you'll find in the city. Head down for a night of dancing to DJs playing vinyl on a great soundsystem, catch a live show from local artists or a film screening. Cheap door prices and always a good crowd. We miss Friday nights down there since leaving KL!

Moutou, located on the top floor and rooftop of a pre-war shophouse on Jalan Panggong in Kuala Lumpur, has quickly become a hub for the city's DIY scene. This artist-run space exudes an artsy vibe and hosts live music events along with art exhibitions that support good causes. The venue is known for its eclectic music acts and draws a young crowd of aspiring artists.
Good Live event place. Many Malaysian underground bands always come to perform here. Decent stage, lighting and sound system. They also have many art exhibitions at the roof top area and those arts are ready to purchase mainly for good cause. You have to take flights of stairs until you reach the venue. Be careful as you goes up the stairs. You can also purchase food at the rooftop, just a simple condiment menu(s) and also drinks at the kitchen area past the stage. Good place to start your adventure in Kuala Lumpur if you are into music and arts.

The venue has two parts to it. There is an art gallery on the 4th floor that can also be a music venue and the rooftop is second. It feels like you are surrounded by nature and the city all at once. Excellent people and vibes to match. The music is eclectic and the crowds are super local. Love it.

Restaurant
Nestled in the Great Eastern Mall in Jalan Ampang, Alexis Bistro & Wine Bar is a contemporary 5,000 square foot restaurant and live music venue known for its sophisticated ambiance. The restaurant offers limited but high-quality food choices, with the Chef's Special being a standout option. Guests can also enjoy watching delicious pizzas being made in a wood-fired oven right before their eyes.
The fish and chips was done just right - the batter was golden, crispy, and satisfying. It comes with thick chips, tartar sauce and the classic mushy peas. The peas are slightly seasoned with a hint of mint. Although the mushy peas may not look glamorous, they are a nostalgic and tasty essential on a proper fish and chip plate. The tender lamb bryanni was served with spiced chutney, and dhal. On top of the food, service at this restaurant is excellent.

The place is at a corner of Ground Floor of Great Eastern Mall in Jalan Ampang. It’s been there for many years. Looks posh and high end. The atmosphere is cozy with not so bright lightings. There’s a small stage at a corner for ac2-3 piece band playing live Jazz music. Service was fast, professional, very attentive and courteous. Well trained. Food is acceptable quality and taste, but a little pricey for the portion served. Overall, a nice cozy place for couple or group lunch or dinner. Food is good if don’t mind about the price. Maybe paying for the services and atmosphere.

Alexis Bistro is a wonderful spot that combines a cozy ambiance with top-notch food. While their menu offers a great selection, what truly stands out is their pavlova. It's simply divine—crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with fresh fruits and cream that perfectly balance the sweetness. Definitely a must-try for dessert enthusiasts! I highly recommend their calamari rings—crispy, perfectly seasoned, and served with a zesty lemon wedge.

Located on the 51st floor of THE FACE Suites in Kuala Lumpur, DEEP BLUE is a rooftop bar with amazing views of the cityscape. There's an Infinity Pool next door for those looking to cool off, and plenty of places to sit and relax while enjoying the breathtaking view.
My partner reserved an outdoor table for my birthday dinner, but due to the rain, it was too wet to be seated outside. Thankfully, the restaurant wasn’t too crowded when we arrived around 7:30pm, and we were allowed to choose our own seating. The staff kindly recommended an upstairs table, and it turned out to be the perfect choice! It was quieter, offered more privacy, and the romantic ambiance was elevated by the beautiful twin tower view right in front of us. Although we were initially disappointed that many items on the menu, including our preferred beef dishes, were unavailable, the staff made up for it with thoughtful recommendations. We ordered the smoked salmon salad, chicken skewers, and the standout dish is nyonya curry seafood with coconut pandan rice. The flavours were truly impressive! While the seafood could have been fresher, the curry itself was rich and fragrant. The chicken skewers were also generous in portion and well-seasoned. Service was exceptional. Special shoutout to Jovel, our waiter for the night. He was attentive, knowledgeable with food suggestions, and constantly checked in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. He even helped us take a lovely photo and suggested poses, such a sweet touch that made the evening even more memorable. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with great food, ambience, and top-notch service. One note: parking can be a little tricky and on the pricier side. Would definitely return for another special occasion!

Deep Blue, perched atop the 51st floor of The Face Suites in Kuala Lumpur, delivers a visually arresting experience. Its primary draw is the sweeping, uninterrupted panorama of the city, spotlighting the iconic Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower. This elevated perspective transforms a simple night out into a spectacle. The bar's design leans heavily into modern futurism, with sleek lines and a sophisticated aesthetic. This contributes to a trendy, upscale atmosphere. The dual-level layout offers distinct experiences: an indoor lounge, ideal for intimate gatherings, and an outdoor terrace, perfect for soaking in the city's energy. The music, predominantly electronic, techno, and trance, sets a vibrant, contemporary tone. Being part of The Face Suites, Deep Blue benefits from the building's overall reputation for luxurious amenities, including the famed infinity pool. This association adds to the bar's allure, making it a destination in itself. However, the experience comes with caveats. Prices are notably high, reflecting the premium location and ambiance. Crowds are frequent, especially during peak hours, potentially impacting service and comfort. Additionally, the building's elevators can experience delays, requiring patience. Deep Blue is best suited for those seeking a stylish, visually stunning night out. The breathtaking views, coupled with the chic design and lively music, create a memorable atmosphere. While the premium pricing and potential crowds should be considered, the unique vantage point and overall experience make it a worthwhile destination for a special occasion or a sophisticated evening in Kuala Lumpur.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 - Best Rooftop View & Unforgettable Service from Jurel! Deep Blue at THE FACE Suites is an absolute must-visit in Kuala Lumpur. The atmosphere on the 51st floor is unmatched—chic, futuristic, and right next to the iconic infinity pool. The panoramic view of the Petronas Twin Towers and KL Tower is breathtaking, especially as the sun goes down. While the view is the draw, the service is what made our night truly stand out. A special mention goes to the Service Manager, Jurel. He was incredibly professional, warm, and highly attentive. He personally ensured our table was perfect and that every detail of our experience was seamless, from cocktail recommendations to quick, efficient service. Jurel's commitment to personalized hospitality elevates Deep Blue from a great bar to an exceptional destination. If you are looking for top-tier ambiance, great drinks, and world-class service, visit Deep Blue and be sure to say hello to Jurel! Highly, highly recommend.

I’m not making this up: the glass comes like this. This is what they call a glass of whisky. For context, I had to position my phone from a certain angle just to make the liquid visible. TREC Kuala Lumpur, also known as TREC KL, is a sprawling entertainment and dining destination that boasts over 50 venues. It's the largest of its kind in Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur. The complex offers an array of restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, and more to cater to diverse culinary preferences and entertainment desires. Visitors can enjoy a seamless experience by starting with drinks at the bar before moving on to restaurants for delectable meals or grills.
This mall is absolutely stunning, luxurious, and incredibly well-designed. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with an elegant and vibrant atmosphere that exudes sophistication. While the mall spans only three floors, with the ground floor entirely dedicated to dining options, it still offers a highly enjoyable experience for visitors. One of the mall’s standout features is the impressive variety of restaurants and dining options available. Whether you’re in the mood for international cuisine, quick bites, or fine dining, the choices are abundant and cater to all tastes. The food court and standalone restaurants are beautifully arranged, making it easy to find something delicious to suit your cravings. What truly impressed me, however, was the unique design of each store and brand within the mall. Every shop has its own distinct style and layout, creatively reflecting the essence and identity of the brand. This attention to detail adds an artistic touch to the shopping experience, making each visit to a store feel like stepping into a carefully curated world. In my opinion, this mall is among the best in the world. It combines luxury, variety, and an unmatched shopping ambiance. If you’re looking for a place that offers more than just shopping—an experience that is both relaxing and inspiring—this mall should definitely be on your list.

Not much to say since most reviews have already said the same thing. Was here just to walk thru the millennials clubbing scene. 🤷🏻‍♂️🥸 From a gen x point of view🫩😂, this place is a huge evolution compared to all other yesteryears club neighborhood s like Bangsar Telawi 3 or even Jalan P Ramlee. ( Just as an observer who passed the road on regular basis from work😬). The place is built as an enclave of night clubs. There are more than 8 clubs 🫣 located side by side with each club having amazing huge entrance displays of light shows enticing patrons to come in. Here, the night clubs entrance are no longer static wooden/ glass entrance like the old school Hard Rock cafe but a more dynamic hi tech display of light n sound. ( I was passing by on the way to an arab restaurant there so just decided to walk thru the walk path of KL night entertainment).😂 I was there on a weeknight so the crowd wasnt overwhelming as the weekends ( standard preference for old people 😂). U wana know how each club is ,that i cant help la😂🤷🏻‍♂️. This review is just to notice the KL club scene. As KL-ites , at least we ought to know the existence of this "God forsaken" area...😂 Ok ok...just some light anecdote . No offense gais ...altho technically true 😂..ok ok ..enuf of this😂. 👋👋

Pretty subpar; the music was okay with a few decent songs, but the vibe was not it. It doesn't help that there's no dance floor, so you are just dancing at a table. Wouldn't come here again. 100RM for two people which includes two drinks. Service was good I guess.

This place is a must visit on a weekend as it’s open till late with plenty of options like coffee, food and clubs. The whole area is nice and buzzing. May not be a good place to visit during the rain but highlight of the place is the French coffee shop (serving delicious croissant etc.) and iron fairies for some amazing food and music (the band stage is super cool).

Once the dancefloor deity of KL nightlife, now just a haunted disco ball with abandonment issues At its peak, Zouk Club KL roared like a nightclub leviathan, five thousand sweaty bodies pulsing to international DJs, overpriced vodka sodas, and more strobe lights than a Marvel movie seizure warning. You didn’t go to Zouk, you survived it Fast forward to now, and TREC feels like an awkward high school reunion for clubs that peaked too early. Zouk closed in 2024, taking the soul of the precinct with it. The rest of the tenants fled like rats from a rave ship, leaving behind the occasional sad shisha bar, unlicensed massage promo, and one guy in sunglasses at 2 AM still trying to order bottle service for himself Footfall down 70 percent Tenant mortality rate over 50 percent Energy level, somewhere between abandoned carpark and forgotten wedding venue To be fair, it still boasts a prime location near TRX and you do get a pretty nice skyline view, especially when you’re trying to remember why you came in the first place Sure, you can still visit, if you enjoy the soft whisper of tumbleweeds and reminiscing about the time you blacked out here in 2017. Spark Club tries to spark something post Zouk, but let’s be honest, it’s like rebooting a dead relationship with cheaper lighting Good for, ghosts of parties past, urban exploration, and accidental existential dread. Not for, actual fun

This caused me both pain and distress, especially considering that my total bill was close to RM800 that night. I’m extremely disappointed that such an incident occurred, and I hope your management will take this matter seriously. You may also check the CCTV footage — we left the bar shortly after the incident happened. I would appreciate it if you could investigate the matter and inform me of the actions being taken to ensure this does not happen again to any customer. We had a smooth and fun KL City Tour booked via Klook! 🚌 The whole process was hassle-free — from booking to meeting our guide. The car was clean and comfortable, and the schedule was well-organized. We got to visit all the highlights of Kuala Lumpur, including the Batu Caves, Istana Negara, and morer, without feeling rushed. Our guide was friendly and shared interesting facts about each spot, which made the trip more meaningful. It was the perfect way to explore the city in a day — highly recommend this tour for first-time visitors who want a convenient and memorable KL experience! 🌆

I really enjoyed the tour. We were taken to interesting places. The cave was the most enjoyable part of the tour. There are also funny monkeys there. Our driver-guide, Denish, was very polite and pleasant to talk to. We traveled in a minibus with good air conditioning. Thank you for the pleasant experience and interesting trip.

Thiru kumaran was an excellent guide!! Perfectly timed our entire tour to the dot. All the spots were completed on time. Don't think we would have covered all the places without his help. He knew the entire history of Malaysia and told us everything about every small details which was awesome 😎

Jao Tim is a trendy new spot in Changkat Bukit Bintang that offers a unique take on Italian cuisine. The menu features small plates designed for sharing, and the bar serves up Italian craft beers and Amaro Montenegro from Bologna. The ambiance of the cafe on Petaling Street is reminiscent of an old hotel, with wooden paneling and brass fittings adding to its charm. This fusion of Italian flavors and vintage aesthetics makes Jao Tim a must-visit destination in Kuala Lumpur.
Came here for a live RNB performance. I've always wanted to come to this establishment and I'm glad that I was finally able to catch a show. This venue has a nice stage for local artists, a good sound and lighting system plus patrons with the same vibes adds to the environment. I would recommend following their instagram page to see which artist or what kind of performance they're having each week so you can join in for a fun lounge experience. I would also like to give a special shout out to the sweet potato highball I've had, which remains one of my favourite variation of a highball as of yet.

It was my first visit to Jao Tim KL, and I was pleasantly surprised by the overall atmosphere. The place has a beautiful vintage charm — exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and warm lighting that makes you feel cozy the moment you step in. What makes Jao Tim stand out is that they even have live band performances during the day, which is quite rare for bars in KL. It’s not your typical nightclub vibe — more like a relaxing lounge where you can sip a drink, chat with friends, and enjoy quality live music. I also tried my very first cocktail here, the Red Carpet Treatment, and it was excellent. The cocktails are creative, well-balanced, and reasonably priced. Events here are diverse, some ticketed and some free, so there’s always something new to look forward to. Overall, Jao Tim is a great spot if you’re looking for a classy yet laid-back place in the heart of Petaling Street. Definitely worth following their social media for event updates!

No doubt one of the best live music bars. Excellent sound system, spot-on lighting, and some preserved elements from the old building add to the great vibe. One thing I’m hoping for is more finger food options on the menu.
Chua E — Google review
An evening of entertainment and live musuc at Jao Tim. I had a mocktail and a bowl of soup and some chips, while listening to the live band and enjoying the relaxing time with family. Jao Tim’s menu offers rice bowls and sandwiches, simple and reasonably priced. There’s a small cover charge for the show but we must support our local music talents! Will come again for sure.
Elina A — Google review
An admirable platform for local performers to showcase their musical talents. Most shows are impressive, with appreciative audiences often participating. The rustic and industrial chic interior, with sufficient acoustics, makes a remarkable performing stage. It does get uncomfortable from the midpoint of a show because of the closed seating, hard seats, difficult viewing angles, limited bar menu and room congestion for popular shows. Nevertheless, Jao Tim (hotel in Cantonese) provides a unique live music experience that is low-cost, fun and entertaining, as well as supports local talent.

We didn’t try food here since we went for live band / Jazz and ballad show. It was a nice atmosphere, amazing service and great quality cocktails. They make killer nigroni and my partner enjoyed their cognac.
Asma Q — Google review
Had a great time listening to live music with Melissa Anne. Sound system was good enough and not to deafening even when seated right in front. The drinks were hit and miss but with the snacks it makes up for it. Do make reservations and get your tickets as walking in might not get you a spot in to enjoy the live music session.
Neil N — Google review
Live performances here are always the best and the most magical. Love the vibes, best intimate venue for live music. Local musicians are the focus here and I love that this venue supports our local music scene and our local bands and artists. Drinks are not super cheap though and in my past 2 visits/separate shows here, unfortunately, both times, not super impressed with the cocktails.

This place does everything supremely well. It’s no wonder they’re a household name in KL! Their selection of Indian food is amazing: railway mutton curry and Goan fish curry are both fantastic. The drinks promos are great. If you’re having two beers you might as well get the promo for 3, it works out pretty much the same price. The upstairs is more quiet with a great view from the balcony (see photo), whereas the downstairs is more lively with sports and such. Depends what vibe you’re looking for! The service here is impeccable. If you’re served by Naren or James you’re in for a fantastic time - but everyone is really great. They work hard, diligently and tirelessly, to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible and your drink is never empty. Overall I couldn’t be happier!

Live music venue
Zepp Kuala Lumpur is a popular concert venue located in the heart of KL, offering an intimate setting for music enthusiasts. With a modest capacity of 2500, it provides a cozy atmosphere and easy access with its split-level entrance. Despite average sound system and limited visibility due to the absence of a big screen, it remains a solid option for smaller concerts and art performances.
World-Class Venue for Rock Legends! Came here for the XPDC Metalkestra concert on 8 November 2025, and honestly, it reminded me why Zepp is one of the best live concert venues in Malaysia. This was my second time here, and it’s still as impressive — maybe even better. The place is sleek and modern from the moment you step in — smooth entry process, friendly staff, and solid crowd management even with hundreds of metal fans flooding the lobby. The sound system? Absolutely top-tier. Every riff, drum solo, and scream from the crowd hit perfectly — powerful but crystal clear. You could feel the music without it becoming noise. I was in the Royal Box (Cinta Kenangan Silam) — super comfortable, with a private viewing area, leather seats, and even our own mini lounge stocked with drinks and snacks. The room was soundproofed just right — you could enjoy the concert both live through the glass and on-screen. It’s a luxury experience for those who like to enjoy rock in style. Inside, the lighting and acoustics are world-class — seriously, Zepp feels like something you’d find in Tokyo or Singapore. The layout makes sure everyone gets a great view, no matter where you’re seated. XPDC themselves were on fire that night — the mix of heavy riffs and orchestral strings from the “Metalkestra” setup gave a new life to their classic hits. Seeing the crowd sing along with “Semangat Yang Hilang” and “Titian Perjalanan” was goosebumps-level stuff. Parking was easy, the crowd flow was smooth after the show, and facilities were clean — always a plus after hours of rocking out. Overall, Zepp KL delivers a premium experience without losing the raw concert vibe. Whether you’re here for rock, jazz, or pop, this venue gets everything right — from sound to comfort to atmosphere. Highly recommended for any live music fan. Can’t wait for my next show here!
Azmi M — Google review
Very lively, comfortable seats and good view of stage from the top floor. The entrance qr codes can be improved via mobile instead of paper tickets. The organiser is very attentive and helped us to the right seats.
Wei C — Google review
Comfortable, mid sized venue. Acoustics are pretty good, and I had a good experience listening to a chamber orchestra from the upper levels. The lower level is flat ground, so visibility is abit of an issue. My friend has complained that the middle areas near the airconditioning vent is really cold, so take note! I drove to the venue and parked at Lalaport. Parking before 5pm is free for the first 3 hours, and after 5pm it's free! For the easiest access, park at the Pink Zone, which is closest to Sukiya and Animate. The exit is directly in front of Zepp.
Suzanne Y — Google review
I visited Zepp Kuala Lumpur yesterday and was truly impressed. The venue is modern, clean, and well-managed. The sound quality was absolutely top-notch — crystal clear audio and great lighting that added so much energy to the performance. You can really feel the difference compared to other concert halls. The layout is smart, with a spacious standing area, comfortable seating on the upper level, and even VIP boxes. It’s located inside the BBCC (Bukit Bintang City Centre) near LaLaport, which makes it easy to access and adds to the vibrant atmosphere. What I really liked was how organized everything was — from entry to security checks to crowd control, all handled professionally. There were lockers available too, which is a big plus. If you’re into live music or events, this is definitely one of the best venues in KL. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more shows here!
Shahzad S — Google review
The easy access concert venue. Yes, it's small but for me, one of my favourite places to attend concert, parking at Lalaport are more cheaper than Zepp Building, but make sure you remember where do you park your car and mall will be closed at 10 pm, but still have another access lif to go down to parking. If you come at 530 above park at lalaport, parking will be free. Good accessibility with public transport

Following that, during the billing the waiters & one of the ambassador said that we are trying to avoid the bill (saying that we don't have money to pay) after we swiping three cards with their credit card machine and they said their credit card machine has no problem even after swiping THREE times. So everyone start accusing saying that we dont wanna pay. the bill is only myr3001, saying that we dont wanna transfer the amount after swiping which we didnt mention at all that we dont wanna transfer or pay the bill. we havent been to cdcx for awhile, the day we went back had this awful experience, everyone went home angrily.

A cigar lounge where you can enjoy delectable crafted cocktails and elevated bar food. I love that their cocktails are strong strong ☺️, here’s what I tried: * Sex In The City (RM45) - I love this. It’s like a tall glass of “lemon drops”. A combination of Gordon Gin, Fresh Lemon Juice, Passion Fruit Syrup & Cava Sparkling Wine. * Very-Well-To-do (RM45) - A boozy dessert cocktail mix of Pierre Ferrand Cognac, Baileys, Chocolate Bitters & Vanilla. * The King of Eden (RM45) - A refreshing fragrant mix of Fords Gin, Vanilla Syrup, Egg White, Fresh Lemon Juice & Blue Curacao. * Don’t Try To Be Tiki (RM45) - Fords Gin, Pineapple, Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice & Syrup. Ok. I’m not a fan of preserved cherries flavour… and this embodies THAT. * None Of Your Bee’s Knee’s (RM45) - Fords Gin, homemade Spicy Honey, Yellow Chartreuse & Fresh Lemon Juice. Oddly doesn’t have the expected kick, it’s mildly sweet and tangy. Food-wise, it’s good bar food that goes well with drinks: * Artichoke Spinach (RM32) - A cheese loaded dip served with a basket of bread. * Mutton Varuval (RM28) - Mutton varuval with a little kick, goes well with the fluffy fried mantou. * Nam Yue Pork Belly (RM28) - Mildly sweet but the clash with the chilli dip wasn’t my preference. * Tiger Prawn Tempura (RM48) - The batter is too thick for me and the deep fried button mushrooms are just sooo random and out of place. Good prawns tho. * Vanilla Ice Cream (RM5) - normal la.

Celebrated the wife’s birthday in this cozy restaurant at Jalan Kasah, Bukit Damansara. While the bistro serves up a variety of dishes but since it’s Christmas, we’ve had no choice but to take their Christmas menu. Also I want to point out that to my surprise, Mezze is affiliated to the Huckleberry Group now (I’m pretty sure they weren’t in the past...correct me if I’m wrong). The dishes were good but with none that really stands out. Comparatively with what we’ve had at other places in the past, there are better places to enjoy a Christmas menu like this. However, one thing to point out is the price is pretty competitive for a festive menu, so with the price and good quality of food in a comfortable setting like this, we still thought this is a good alternative to the other pricier establishments. Having said that, the service at the bistro is commendable, with friendly and helpful staff- so kudos to them for helping me make my wife’s birthday memorable! The raclette burger was the only passable main. Didn't ask how we'd like the burger done though so shame it was overcooked. The Josperised aubergine was way too sweet and it definitely was not served with yogurt. Tasted like kewpie. Whole dish was sickly sweet. The 'Burrata and bacon' flatbread. First attempt; balsamic glaze was overpoweringly sweet. Took a few prompts to have kitchen make it without the glaze as was inedible otherwise. 2nd attempt; dough underbaked, a very commercial tasting barbecue/brown sauce blended into the also store bought tomato base destroying the cheese (NOT burrata) further. Could have been a very good dish as the dough has potential! The green salad with no dressing. Was dressed more heavily than a Queen in the West End.... The million dollar question - will I be back? Not in a hurry and if not necessary.

Heard SO MUCH about this place. First time here today and ordered Black Cod with Risotto. RM 68. See pic showing portion of fish with Risotto. And what's worse, I was made to eat chalky and crunchy risotto! Spoke with the servers about my concern and they vouch for the risotto saying it's supposed to be "half cooked". Without even offering to take the dish back to the kitchen or remake it, they say that their French chef says it's like that. Utterly disappointed at such a response given by such an establishment. I have had wonderful risotto overseas at Italian restaurants, so imagine how insulted I felt when the servers tried to explained that it is Italian rice and how it is meant to be cooked. Never again. Side note, 3 of my friends ordered the same pasta dish but the portion on each plate was different. Inconsistent portions at the same table is a big No-No. The fries and Caramel Bar dessert were good. Would I come back here based on the last two good dishes? I'll have to think about it very hard.

Mezze Whiskey Bar (IMO) is located above the restaurant with which it shares a name. My expectation was that I was going to jazz club. This small smoke filled venue presented a band performing popular music. The band was good, but unexpected. Mezze offers whiskey bottle service, wine, and cocktails. One person at my table ordered straight up whiskey. The other two of us were disappointed with our drinks--neat gin and a margarita. We were also disappointed that Mezze does not offer whiskey flights to help its customers develop their pallet. The food was unremarkable.

Been going there since '93, I was obviously saddened when it was sold last year. I had become good friends with the brothers (and their kids) over the years. Heard it reopened and decided to check it out last Sunday 4 May 2025. Surprisingly, there must have been around 10 people when I walked around 8pm As expected, it was a bit disorienting, as the place had been (quite well) renovated with a more optimized layout (gone is the iconic "island" bar. Stage was moved to the back end and there's a pool table again at the entrance. Stout's apparently no longer served in pints but half pints. I guess that makes sense given the price of things these days, makes for a more scalable night out. Mutton varuvel was decent. Staff were polite and attentive. There was a band playing the usual bar favorites and maintaining a good rapport with the crowd. I understand the new owner owns a couple of other bars, so he's probably got the business well defined. Hope they do well. I see some of the old performers will be playing there, may drop by again if I get the urge to hear loud metal/rock covers.

This trendy venue boasts a chic atmosphere, making it a popular hangout for young professionals and music enthusiasts alike. Guests rave about the fusion dishes on offer, from spicy Korean chicken wings to crispy mini burgers and flavorful nachos. The attentive staff enhances the experience with friendly service and even offers to capture memorable moments for diners.
The very much ignored and probably unknown to many of how good the food and drinks are here. Had this signature steamed barramundi with turmeric sauce which is interestingly delicious. The wine selection is quite impressive and the shiraz i had was fresh despite it was already opened, which is very rare in a hot climate in Malaysia. Best part is, it’s very quiet and perfect for a pre-movie dinner date, or just come here for a dinner. Of course, when you’re ready for your movie, you’ll be ushered all the way to your seat. I found the joy of going for a movie again.

I recently visited Jingastro Bar at Garden Mall, and I had an amazing experience! The ambiance was fantastic – a perfect blend of modern and cozy. What truly made the visit memorable was the excellent service by Nirmal. He was attentive, friendly, and really made sure we had everything we needed. His recommendations for drinks were spot on, and the food was delicious. I’ll definitely be coming back for both the great vibes and top-notch service.

A Memorable Evening of Great Food & Live Music I recently visited JIN Gastrobar and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. The moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and an inviting atmosphere. The ambience was perfectly set for a relaxing evening—soft lighting, cozy seating, and a lively yet comfortable vibe. The highlight of the night was the live performance by the singer SPEC, his voice was captivating—rich, soulful, and perfectly suited to the evening’s mood. The music added a special touch, turning dinner into a delightful experience and complemented the meal beautifully.

Had an amazing time at the Emo Night! The atmosphere was incredible, the setup was perfect, and everything was well-organized. Loved the music and the overall vibe. Would definitely come again for future events!

Drum Asia is home to many local underground acts of so much different genres. It comes with jamming studios which I think house many of our great homegrown artists. Front desk is exceptionally friendly and the place is super welcoming. Will always be here to support local acts.

Our weekly jam at this studio has been a blast. They have 3 areas for jamming. 2 closed studios and 1 open stage area where you can book and rent too. Instrument and sound system are great. But of course you always bring your own instruments for best satisfaction. They got offer for lifetime members for more convenience and promotions. A great place to be at.

Rumah Api, also known as the "house of fire," is a DIY punk haven located in the city. This collective-run alternative space has a rich history and was previously housed in a shophouse in Pekan Ampang before being demolished for a development project. Accessing the venue without personal transport can be challenging, so it's recommended to use e-hailing or cabs, especially for those not staying in KL.
Amazing place for hardcore and heavy metal, thrash, punk, metalheads! The gigs are intense, the guys are awesome, it’s a proper DIY atmosphere. Sound is great, very raw but clear. Mind that it’s not too easy to find, it’s located on 18 floor of what looks like an apartment block. Has a cool view as well, it’s the first place like this I see in the whole world that has windows and you can actually see stuff outside! There’s a music and merch shop, looks like local bands, definitely not anything I’ve seen anywhere else.
Fkod — Google review
Amazing event space , definitely a place to check out for any local and foreign acts having gigs there.

Fuad E — Google review
Hosting live music entertainment every weekend. You can browse through vast choices of Local and International LP, cassettes and CDs. You can also get a Rumah Api T-shirt here as a souvenir for RM60/pcs
Muhammad H — Google review
Only alternative and counter cultural place I have found in three years living in KL.
Tobias P — Google review
Getting here without transport will be a hassle. Suggest using e-hailing or cab for friends not staying in KL. The space is on the 18th floor and dedicated as 'underground' for many. They hold weekly shows for local bands and occasionally foreign as well. It is what it is, patched up walls, air conditioning that is non existent and ventilation of stale cigarette smoke.... But that's what makes the place what it is. Don't mistake it for a concert venue, it is anything but. There is a merchandise area and a bar; they're are signs that says smoking area but really anarchy is the only feeling you need. Just move and let loose.
Julian L — Google review
Absolutely sick venue, kudos from USA 🇺🇸

Atelier on Telawi is a charming little restaurant that seamlessly combines a cozy atmosphere with live jazz performances, making it an ideal spot for date nights or special occasions. The menu boasts delightful dishes, with the chocolate lava cake and smoked duck pasta standing out as crowd favorites. While some items like the scallops and lamb shank received mixed reviews, many guests rave about the friendly service and inviting ambiance.
Nice customer service. Polite waitress. The Smoked Duck Pasta(signature recipe in their menu) was superb. The beetroot salad was good. The starter bread was yummy home made bread. The Tiger prawn pasta was ok but was too saucy but overall nice!

Nice decoration, reasonable price, live band on Saturday. In term of food, the winner is chocolate lava cake. Scallop is good, frois gras is ok. My Australian friend said lamb shank over cooked. My husband likes his Magret duck dish. They have BOGO cocktails. Service has room to improve. My Australian friend doesn't like his napkin removed all the times. ;)
