Reed Flute Cave, located about 5 kilometers from Guilin's center in Guangxi Province, China, is a vast cavern known for its stunning underground karst formations. The cave stretches beneath the southern shoulder of Guangming Hill and has been a popular tourist destination since the Tang Dynasty. Visitors can explore the 240-meter deep, 500-meter long cave on guided tours to admire diverse stalagmites, stalactites, stone pillars, curtains and more.
This is a huge cave, actually the biggest that I have been inside of. The colourful lights arrangement inside the cave is quite fascinating. There are all sorts of shapes that you can see on the walls of the cave. With all the limestone making all sorts of structure inside, it is a fantastic cave. And then deep inside there is a huge area where apparently parties are held on for example Valentines day.
Vijay J — Google review
One of the Top limestone caves. The entrance is 90 RMB. The tour takes between 75-120 Minutes. Some Stalactites are more than 30m high. It is a great experience
Andreas W — Google review
One of the amazing things you can see in Guilin. It is astonishing to see how nature forms these interesting stalactites and stalagmites. A few of them resemble animals, people, fruits, vegetables and landscapes. The way they are lit also makes it even prettier. I would not recommend this for people with mobility problems because it involves quite a bit of walking up and down stairs. The men's toilet was also special. The urinals are enclosed in glass and you can have a nice view while peeing 😁 Make sure you visit this place if you are in Guilin. Not to be missed.
Joseph T — Google review
I’ve always loved admiring natural scenery, and this time I had the chance to visit Reed Flute Cave. It’s a well-known karst cave relatively close to the city center and has even hosted several national leaders. Inside, you’ll find an incredible variety of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, curtains, and flowers—each with unique shapes and truly spectacular. Thankfully, it wasn’t too crowded on the day I visited, and since the cave is quite spacious, I could take my time to enjoy the sights and snap photos. Just a heads-up: you need to purchase a ticket to enter. A must-visit for nature lovers!
Perri — Google review
We made the right decision to take the tram up to the entrance to the cave even though this is a separate cost apart from the entrance ticket. There are 2 prices to the entrance ticket. The more expensive one basically includes an entrance fee to a specific section in the reed cave itself. Can do without, I find nothing spectacular in there, it's just some manmade photo spots with some artificial lightings. The cave was wet and could be slippery so wear suitable shoes with good friction. Interesting guided tour (included in entrance ticket) in Mandarin. I think it's worth a visit if you're in Guilin for a couple of days.
Viva V — Google review
Nice cave walk exploration here to spend 1hr in it. Recommended. But beware that the floor can be wet. The cable car ride is just not worth it. Better walk up and down on your own.
KF Y — Google review
Pretty cool spot! The place was easy to navigate and the cave was cool but I feel there's a lot of these worldwide and this doesn't really stand out from the others. Definitely worth checking out though.
Lang N — Google review
Nice place, but totally skippable. The colored lights make it a bit trashy, and there is no highlight really worth the visit unless you are in love with caves.

Elephant Trunk Hill is a famous landmark in Guilin, China, known for its unique rock arch that resembles an elephant's trunk dipping into the water. The city of Guilin has long been celebrated for its stunning natural scenery, with attractions like Lijiang River scenic area, Yulong River scenic area, and Xianggongshan Hill offering breathtaking views.
This is a wonderful experience when in Guilin. The hike to the top of the"mountain" is radars by spectacular vistas. I recommend going early, as it can get a bit crowded.
Danny M — Google review
I think it is interconnected with Guilin 2 rivers & 4 lakes because it is nearby to one another. The place is nice, the view is beautiful and it is quite crowded with so many tourists. The entrance is free and there are so many booths and stalls that sell food, drinks and souvenirs. The place is also clean. You can see an elephant shape on the hill and there are also activities like river Cruise and so on here.
Hafizun M — Google review
"Elephant Trunk Hill, located at the confluence of Taohua River and Li River in Guilin City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, is named because the shape of the hill resembles an elephant drinking water by the river and is known as the symbol of Guilin's landscape. The main scenic spots in Xiangshan Scenic Area include Water Moon Cave, Elephant Eye Rock, Puxian Pagoda, Yunfeng Temple, and the exhibition hall of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom Revolutionary Site in the temple. Water Moon Cave is close to the riverside, and the Li River flows through it, like a floating moon in the water. One scholar in Jibei of the Song Dynasty wrote a poem Water Moon Cave Rhyme which was carved on the cave, saying "In the water, there is a bright moon, over the water, there is a floating moon. The water is flowing, while the moon is still there. The moon is gone, while the water is still flowing." The poem graphically depicts the beautiful scenery of the Water Moon Cave. In 2017, it was rated as a national AAAAA tourist attraction, covering an area of 118,800 square metres. It is a natural scenic spot of Karst landform. It has been a famous tourist attraction since the Tang Dynasty and has a tourist history of more than 1,000 years."
Mark A — Google review
This place is extremely calm and quiet. It is a great place to take a break from shopping when on holidays. The post officer nearby sells souvenirs and post cards with imprints of the elephant trunk hill. Be warned that it can get extremely crowded at times due to the large influx of people trying to take photos with the hill
See N — Google review
I recommend a stroll around Guilin, where this elephant-shaped hill, a symbol of the city, is located near the center. For foreign tourists, admission is free and no reservation is required. You must have a passport, which obviously applies to all of China.
Edoardo C — Google review
Interesting place that has hundred years of history. Nice park to walk around in and enjoy the scenery. It can be crowded so pick your tune to visit and avoid the crowd.
Joseph T — Google review
Nice sightseeing spot, although very busy with a lot of tourists even outside of public holiday season.
Jurian — Google review
Went here 10/12/2024. As of that date, tickets are not required and admission is free. Multiple shops inside for drinks and refreshments. There is a boat ride as well. Nice view and good scenic spot. Since it's free at the time if writing, it's A+ for me.

Seven Star Park, located on the east bank of Li River in Guilin, is the city's largest comprehensive park. It gets its name from seven karst peaks that resemble the Big Dipper constellation. The park features attractions like Camel Hill, Seven Star Cave with its stalactites, Sea of Sweet Osmanthus Trees, Forest of Tablets, and a large zoo.
Excellent park for a stroll in nature! With a cave to visit, lots of fun for the kids 😊, waterfalls and a pagoda 😊😊
Claudia T — Google review
This big park has been visited by an American President Bill Clinton. A plaque at the Camel Rock commemorate his visit. The Camel Rock used to be the icon of Guilin until it was replace by the Elephant Hill.
Julian W — Google review
Nice maintained paied park but all activities inside need to add ticket cost
Fabrice T — Google review
Used to come here often as a kid, but the scenery inside is not worth the entrance price. The highlight for me are the several hills inside the park that can be easily hiked for good views of the city, a hill shaped like a camel where Bill Clinton gave a speech, and a mosque and several modest Buddhist temples, but they may have renovated and gone commercial. Qixing Cave can be skipped if you see Reed Flute Cave. If you are put off by the ticket price, there are a few places where the park fence intersect the river where one could sneak in for free, just watch for poop along the path.
John R — Google review
The park itself is fine, OK to visit, ticket isn't too expensive, but need another different tickets for here and there, the famous CAVE is one of them, need an extra ticket to enter. The pavilion on top of the middle small hill is not that worth it after reach it, not well maintained and not very clean, either. The view for surrounding terrains are just fine.
H W — Google review
Nice park in Guilin, you could climb up a mountain inside the park to get a great view of the city and surrounding mountains. Had some beautiful sculptures and nice amenities. The high ropes course is cool, but much more suited to kids than adults as we found out the hard way 😂
Ambrose K — Google review
A nice Park right in the centre of Guilin. The view from the star pavilion is great. We met a monk praying at the top of the mountain, saw some monkeys and took a photo in ethnic costumes in front of camel Hill. All in all a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon
Latonya W — Google review
Nice and large park, lot of spectacular monkeys. They are not aggresives if you avoid to show some food and try to touch them... Interesting paintings selling point and others.

Guilin Two Rivers & Four Lakes Scenic Area is a picturesque water system in the city, featuring charming bridges, fountains, and illuminated pagodas. This area is part of Guilin's renowned natural beauty, which includes the stunning Lijiang River and Yulong River scenic areas for nature enthusiasts. Visitors can also explore downtown Guilin's Elephant Trunk Hill and the captivating karst caves like Reed Flute Cave and Silver Cave.

A wonderfully relaxing river cruise with picturesque surroundings lit wonderfully to highlight the best of the area. The dancing and music in the various pagodas and buildings really added an extra element of beauty and wonder. We even had a lady playing a traditional instrument on the boat on the way back down the river which such a delight. The cormorant show itself was interesting but we couldn’t quite tell if some of the birds were stuck to the poles or not as they flapped but didn’t really move too much :-(
Jamie H — Google review
One of the main attraction in Guilin itself. Two rivers and four lakes. a huge park with lots in interesting attractions. It is beautiful both day and night.
Julian W — Google review
A very touristy area with many things to see. Many of the sights are near the river. A cruise allows you to see several of these sights from the water. Overall an interesting cruise but slightly hectic. Probably more interesting if you spend a couple days, and don't mind large crowds just to view a few interesting sights.
Greg R — Google review
Fantastic experience and must do activity when you are in Guilin. We were there during raining season unfortunately, hence the river has a little of current. Fortunately, cruising still operating. Heard that some days cruise ceased operation when rain causing high tide. Make sure you prebook the ticket and be on time. It requires exact same name, tally with your ID; pretty strict.
C — Google review
A must see attraction in Guilin. The night tour scenery will blow you away! Such a lovely place!
Richard A — Google review
Wonderful park kept beautifully, all the plants are always green and in bloom, there are beautiful bridges and sculptures, boats, shops and it is very relaxing to sit and listen to street musicians playing flute or other traditional instruments.
Karina C — Google review
Not exactly an attraction in itself; the scenic area actually refers to the overall downtown region in Guilin where all of the attractions are concentrated. As a whole, Guilin's attractions are not as great as the ones down south in Yangshuo. You can finish off Guilin in just two days, as there aren't too many complex attraction sites. Just rent an e-bike and drive around the area to all of the places that you are interested in.

Silver Cave, located near Yangshuo in Guilin, is a renowned tourist attraction known for its stunning karst landscapes. It is considered the largest karst cave in China and has a rich history dating back to the Qing dynasty. The cave's name originates from a legend about a defeated army that sought refuge within its depths and supposedly left behind hidden treasure. Visitors can explore the expansive underground chambers and marvel at the intricate rock formations.
This cave is kind of trash, you can skip it. It does have some really interesting formations but all the tacky, gaudy multicolored lights really ruin the natural beauty at times. The 15-minute exit surrounded by cheap plastic souvenirs is a complete insult to human dignity. Not worth the money or the time. There are SO many better things to do/see around here. Despite everything, would probably still be cool for hardcore caving enthusiasts or geologists.

(Translated by Google) If you are not traveling with a group, just avoid the trap. If you are traveling with a group, you can use this as a shopping spot. It is really a pity that the wooden buildings of the original residents have been built for hundreds of years and have profound history and culture. However, their focus is not on explaining the culture, but recommending silver jewelry. It is too commercial, wasting such a beautiful place, wasting everyone's time, and affecting the mood of the trip. It is really annoying to keep promoting. Please avoid the trap!

Zizhou Park is a vast park situated in the heart of Guilin, along the eastern bank of Lijiang River. It offers various attractions and is too large to explore on foot. Visitors can hop on a mini tram for a nominal fee, making stops at key points for photo opportunities. The park hosts tulip festivals during the winter and spring seasons, featuring food stalls, gift shops, and even an opportunity to take pictures with the famous Guilin elephant trunk.
Amazing place, big and nice. Tulip festivals but when I come the tulips season almost finish, better bring umbrela as the festivals usually during winter to spring and usually in raining season. Have food stall, gift and souvenir shop, you can take picture with most famous guilin elephant trunk! If its not raining def can explore more. You can buy the shuttle car voucer (recomended for old ppl and kids as the place is really big)

Scenic park in southern part of Guilin. Beautiful scenery of mountain and Li River. Also features Elephant Hill and Pagoda Hill within the park. Good place to visit to appreciate the marvelous 'mountain and water' scenery that Guilin is renowned for. A bright sunny day and a foggy grey day both entail different charms

Went here to spend my evening strolling at the park and ended up hiking the peak. There are three peaks that offer stunning views especially during sunset. But I only managed to reach two peaks since the other one is considered dangerous. The park is nice, the lake is beautiful and a lot of people spend their evening here too. But the peak is extra superb. The hike did not take long. probably around 30 minutes to each peak respectively. There are also a lot of people climbing there. The track is clear and it's just like stairs. Suitable for beginners although it can be quite tiring. But once you see the view, all the tired suddenly gone. Very recommended activities to do during the evening when you are at Guilin town. Just a 10 minute drive from the centre.

Park
The Solitary Beauty Peak Prince City Scenic Area is a park featuring a natural limestone peak with steep sides and stairs leading to the top. The peak provides stunning views of a Ming dynasty mansion situated nearby. The park is an ideal destination for those who enjoy hiking and exploring nature's beauty. Visitors can take in the sights while walking along the trails that wind through lush forests, or they can climb to the top of the peak for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
For me, this small karst hill is the main attraction in this park/palace. The climb is not that easy but doable for a 70 YO. The view is definitely worth the efforts.

In my opinion, it’s not worth the time and money to visit this site unless you are really into the history of guilin. If you want to see the nature beauty, you can skip the city and take boat tours from Guilin to Yangshuo.
Li C — Google review
Great views from atop the peak, and inside the scenic area has a neat artsy feel to it. Unfortunately most of the exhibits in the various museums/buildings in the park are written only in Chinese, and the price is really high as far as Chinese parks go, especially considering what you get to see as a part of the ticket. Would still recommend overall, but the nearby Fuboshan Park is a quarter of the price and boasts better views from the top

It's okay for the price charged for entrance which is 100 rmbs. I didn't minded so much. I paid it since I wanted to climb the stairs up the peak. Since I don't speak or read Chinese I just didn't bother with other stuffs . The view as you climb is good at best. Like I say , I found the stairs climbing more interesting.

Great experience and very nice view

During my first time here in 1987, this place was surrounded by a lot of natural scenic areas. But when I travelled again in 2019, the place was surrounded by all sorts of buildings in a tightly squeezed way.

If you love the architecture & history of china, i reccommed you ti visit this place.

Amazing scenery here! Halfway through the boat ride, you can even pay the local fishermen RMB 5 to take a picture with the birds.

(Translated by Google) Incredible scenery. A boat trip along the Li River is impressive for its beauty and the number of peaks (over 3,000) that appear along the way. A 4-hour trip well worth it. (Original) Cenário incrível. Passeio de barco pelo rio Li impressiona pela beleza e quantidade de picos ( mais de 3000) que vão aparecendo por todo caminho. Um passeio de 4 horas que vale a pena
