Sunken Gardens, located just outside downtown St. Petersburg, is a century-old tropical paradise featuring over 50,000 exotic plants and birds from around the world. This botanical gem also includes a traditional Japanese koi pond, sparkling waterfalls, and a pollinator garden filled with native Florida butterflies. Visitors can stroll past colorful macaws, cockatoos, kookaburras, and flamingos while learning about the gardens' fascinating history dating back to the 1950s.
About an hours walk through the gardens. Met some of the bird residents being taken for their enrichment walks which was neat to see. Coral cactus kind of blew me away and it was great to see so many pollinators enjoying what the gardens offers. Well worth the ticket price, the koi in the fish pond were absolutely massive and you can pay to get pellets to feed them more 😆 the gift shop I do think would work better if it was more related to garden related items or art or anything. Instead it was a large assortment of just seemingly random gift stuff

It’s a nice green space with some interesting plants, flowing water features, and a nice retreat similar to other places of that era. If you want some beautiful scenery and wildlife, it’s a nice choice as a regular retreat if you live in the Bay Area. We got a good deal for a family membership so it’s nice to pop over and walk around for an hour or two as one of the few places to get some green around here. There are a couple of shady open areas with astroturf that are good for the kiddos to play. Otherwise there’s not much going on other than looking at things and relaxing. A nice option if you have visitors who love plants, or want something sedate, but mostly just a stroll and relaxing kind of spot.

This was a lovely experience and a great look at old Florida! The plants were beautiful and there was a great amount of information. Plenty of opportunities for cute pictures and we got to see a fair amount of wildlife as well. I felt tickets were well priced for the amount of time we spent and what we got to see. I also thought the gift shop was great. There were lots of cute things for someone looking for a souvenir from St Petersburg!

Escape the city without leaving the city. This garden transports you into a lush tropical oasis. Surrounded by vibrant colors, calming sounds, and layered textures of cascading landscapes, you can meander the blissfully winding trails for hours. Stop by the flamingos to see them dance in delight at feeding time. The Macaws and Tuscan show off their vivid colors at their own exhibits throughout the property. Other special sightings include butterflies, a kookaburra, tortoises, and turtle. The garden also provides ample opportunities for photo ops and has a gift shop as well.
Lexy G — Google review
A nice afternoon activity if you need to get out of the house. The place is huge so you will still find quiet corners even with a lot of people in the garden. Personal favorites/ highlights - Koi pond - Flamingo’s - A rainbow tree - If you are wondering what in the world resulted in this huge garden, there is a history center to give context If traveling with kids or older people- The only restrooms are in the visitor center. There is also a kids exploration center which seemed interesting. The ticket to this place for adults is $15, (note that they are raising it to $18 from oct 1,2025) which I felt was steep. They offer discounts if you are AAA member or VA. Overall, it’s a good afternoon activity if you want to get out of the house Plenty of parking is available at this place.
Kavi — Google review
I'm so glad we finally got a chance to go. This place is breathtaking 😍. Trying to navigate with the map is kinda tricky. There are not a lot of restroom. I liked that we could pack our own lunch, so we had a nice picnic on the lawn. They were also setting up for wla wedding which looked very beautiful. I actually got to see the stunning bride. They also have birds.

What a wonderful place to visit. If you have any interest at all in exotic trees, please visit this place. Sunken Gardens has been around for a long time and has some great history. Beautiful blooms and natural architecture of the plants and trees will WOW you. They also have some birds and turtles on site. With a nice little gift shop. For those who are interested for the kids also attached to Great Explorations.

What an amazing garden tucked away in the heart of St. Petersburg. An easy trip off I-275, Sunken Gardens is definitely a treasure of a find and a must visit for those living in the Tampa Bay area. Sunken Gardens is arguably a Tampa/St. Petersburg staple for visitors that would love to see what the local area has to offer aside from beaches. For starters, you can find some neat deals for the Sunken Gardens on value sites such as Groupon, although the general admission fee is relatively reasonable compared to the aquariums, zoos, and other parks in the area. We found an annual family membership on Groupon which is pretty neat considering the perks that come with it - free admission to some popular museums during certain months, as well as reciprocal admission at other gardens (you can find a list of those on the website, while a more accurate list of this program is available with the main kiosk). There is free parking on site; the lot is also shared by the children's museum, Great Explorations. While there appears to be plenty of parking, I would recommend getting to this venue earlier to get a prime spot and to be able to stroll at your leisure without feeling too crowded in. Sunken Gardens is one of the smaller gardens we have been to as we travelled across the nation, but do not let it's small size fool you. There is plentiful flora that grows on this piece of real estate that will amaze you with their natural beauty. What makes Sunken Gardens unique is that it showcases a vast variety of palms, leveraging the temperate weather of Florida for the growth of these specimens (you won't find these up in the Northeast). Aside from the palms, there are various areas that are gorgeously arranged and curated to bring out the best in each plant. We definitely took our time to enjoy the trails that looped through the garden - there are also unimproved paths that are also accessible for viewing. Sprinkled throughout the garden are also a variety of beautiful birds to include a sanctuary for some flamingos. There are several bridges that cross some bodies of water, one of which hosts gigantic and marvelous koi. All-in-all, there are plentiful areas and spaces to explore within the garden which makes it such a wonderful garden. I highly recommend Sunken Gardens to everyone!

The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg is a must-visit for art enthusiasts. The museum houses an extensive collection of surrealist art by Salvador Dalí and is known for its unique building with 900 glass panels. Visitors can also experience Dali 360, a captivating 30-minute projection dome show that brings the artist's works to life.
A beautiful space with a great collection of art and nice little cafe. There are regular docent tours you can join that are covered by regular admission without an extra fee. I went on a Thursday and after 5pm there was a DJ and the first floor took on a social hangout vibe. The gift shop has plenty of fun things, and if the size of the item you want is out of stock you can order one from their online store.
Theresa C — Google review
Out of this world experience. The museum has so much of Dali's artwork, that you feel completely immersed in his creativity and part of his own unique and unfamiliar universe. If you're in the area, I highly recommend setting aside half a day or at least a couple of hours for the visit. Also, the shop has a wide selection of beautiful gifts and souvenirs.
Sam J — Google review
The Dali Museum completely exceeded expectations — surreal, inspiring, and so well presented. You can feel the creativity in every corner, and the staff are super knowledgeable. The building itself is a work of art. Highly recommend taking your time to explore!
Veronika T — Google review
Salvador Dali Museum in St Petersburg was an excellent tribute to a fascinating, perhaps controversial artist. Staff were friendly and helpful, there was plenty of parking during our visit on a Sunday, art displays were neat, and the using the app for the narrated tour is highly recommended. At the time of our visit, there was a very well done tribute to van Gogh which we opted to watch as opposed to the Salvador Dali screening, which I'm sure would have been quite good as well. The snack / coffee bar was perfect for the visit. The murals section was an interesting addition, and the interactive street art photo booths were fun. Highly recommended overall.
Andrew D — Google review
One of the most interesting and entertaining art museums I’ve ever visited. There are unique AI driven interactive exhibits throughout that are very fun. There are countless originals of Dali and some cool AR features that allow you to better see the detail of his work. The gift shop has a lot but for some reason it just let me down a little. Also a great little cafe. Highly recommend doing the extra cost for the video in the dome.
Robbie F — Google review
The Dali Museum was so artsy and amazing — like walking straight into someone’s wild, beautiful dream (and possibly their subconscious). I only had a couple of hours to explore, which is basically a crime against art, so I’m 100% going back before I leave. Also… that espresso? Life-changing. I’m not saying Dali himself whispered inspiration into my cup, but I’m also not not saying that. Next visit: slower pace, more surrealism, and definitely another magical espresso.
Vanessa R — Google review
Fabulous museum with an impressive selection of Dalí's works, amazing to be able to see. Don't skip the cafe with us beautiful soups and coffee drinks. Top notch all around!
A J — Google review
What a fun experience, with some interactive pieces (such as the phone and street art portraits), as well as many interesting works to view. As soon as you enter the space, you are surrounded by whimsy and work that begs you to linger and contemplate.

The St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market is a lively weekly event that transforms downtown St. Pete into a vibrant hub of activity. This bustling farmers market, recognized as one of the largest in the Southeast U.S., offers an array of fresh produce, prepared foods, and unique crafts from local artisans. As you stroll through the market, you'll be greeted by live music that adds to the festive atmosphere—it's like a daytime celebration where shopping feels more like a party with friends!
MY FAVORITE SPOT! I get there early. Incredible array of produce! There's an amazing lady there with the plant based handcrafted soaps w/natural glycerin. Her soap makes my skin extremely soft so I tried it on my face wooo it's a win win!! Every time I come I have to grab at least one of her soaps. Mailing some as a gift for a friend in Oregon. She has those recycled material sponges & painted Sweden there's a company in North Carolina..she has some body sprays. She said she takes orders online too. These have become my favorite soap..I am gonna try washing my hair with them. So many incredible vendors here!!!! Ripe pineapples!! I can get most of my produce here!! I noticed a exotic fruit stand this week. I go there for fruit veggies mushrooms soap coconuts. There entertainment & in this area there are lots of tables & chairs. I prefer to pay & park $5 I ALWAYS bring my huge granny cart 😘
Cynthia ( — Google review
It's not the biggest market. Has baked goods, pizza coffee, crystals, clothes, jewelry, veg and meats, honey. I got breakfast there coffee cookie and donuts. I don't remember the booth name but That donut was dense. I'm pretty sure it was 1lb and was 90% filling. The Thai tea cookie was delicious. And the stuffed vine leaf was a good savory item.
Leah F — Google review
Great experience. We picked up uncommon tropical fruit, tried fresh pressed juices, grabbed fresh vegetables and enjoyed the time!
Arielle — Google review
Lovely market with a nice variety of vendors. Lots and lots of produce, mushrooms, flowers, art, jewelry, etc. I didn't get any food but there were a lot of food options, too. There were a bunch of wonderful, well-behaved doggies about, minding their owners and not making trouble. All the vendors I interacted with were helpful and friendly.
Katie N — Google review
The market has so many options for enticing your pallet. The food trucks were great too. A great way to start your Saturday morning.
Leilani K — Google review
Great park with a lot of cute tents to stop in and check out. Vendors are kind and knowledgeable. Definitely going to be a part of my every Saturday routine. They have little local shops, bakeries, coffee and a small fresh food market. Music plays from the amphitheater, it’s a great vibe.
Dani B — Google review
There are two locations for this market. In the summer it’s at Williams Park. In the winter it’s in the parking lot of the Rowdies Stadium. I went to the summer time market in Williams Park in early July. If you are dressed for hot weather, there is lots of shade. I enjoyed all the vendors and the mix of food and goods. It has a very Downtown St. Pete feel with art, wellness, nature and spiritual products. Local vendors sell their sourdough breads, prepared foods, juices, plants, candles, farm fresh veggies and desserts. The coolest items I saw were hanging plants, air plants, amazing mushrooms that looked like works of art, and local natural salt water sponges. Lots of items at a $5 price point. I got a refreshing drink of cucumber and mint ($5) and the green pork Tamles ($15) at Aztec Rojo and knishes from Brooklyn Knish. We got a Thai one, Indian samosa and a cheeseburger filled one. ($15 for 3) The Thai one was delicious and very spicy. The restroom is only for vendors and there aren’t public bathrooms close by anywhere. There isn’t live music in the summer. I did request info about allowing local teens to play music here but was told, “no, no, no” by the official market booth.
Tango T — Google review
Really nice place to spend sometime just walking around by yourself or your family… lots of vendors, good variety of products for sale, specially the bread…. Hard to choose just one, so most of the time we walk away with a couple of loaf of bread (to make up for the couple of pounds we had just lost) 😅😁

St. Pete Pier is a charming waterfront destination that offers 26 acres of entertainment, including water sports, parks, restaurants, and outdoor concerts. The pedestrian-friendly area is lined with trees and features a variety of shops and dining options leading to the city's expansive waterfront. Visitors can admire the impressive "Bending Arc" sculpture by local artist Janet Echelman and enjoy family-friendly attractions such as the Majeed Foundation splash pad and a pirate-themed playground.
The area is a picturesque destination, featuring an assortment of restaurants, quick bites, and dessert options. The scenery is remarkably stunning and gorgeous. A splash pad offers fun for kids and kids at heart. Ample seating areas are provided. The trolley service runs every 15 minutes, ensuring easy transportation. Fishing is allowed at the pier's end, and gift shops are available. A weekend market adds to the area's allure.

The St Pete Pier has so much to offer, for crowds of all ages, all throughout the day! First, you can really get your steps in here- the entirety of the Pier has to be at least 1 mile long. But they also have a tram you can take if you don’t or can’t do the walking. There’s a splash park for the kids and a playground, vendor booths with a fun and unique variety of knick knacks, and even an aquatic museum. Of course, there’s eats too for all the goodies. Perry’s Porch is a new edition at the start of the Pier- you need a reservation a few weeks in advance for that one. At the end of the pier Teak and Pier Teaki. Teak is a sit down restaurant on the second floor and Pier Teaki is the rooftop bar- that place is so cool and also serves food but it fills up real fast. It offers a stunning view of the St Pete skyline, especially at night. And in between there’s also a concessions. There’s tons of seating all around, and even a tiny beach right along the water. There is water so you don’t get dehydrated and even free sunscreen. They host many events & festivals in the area too and it’s a great place to hang out.

Soaking up the sunshine and waterfront vibes at the St. Pete Pier! ☀️ From watching the sailboats⛵️ on the bay to the skaters doing their thing, it's a beautiful spot to people-watch and just enjoy the day. St. Pete really knows how to do a waterfront area right. 🩵I can't get over the gorgeous views, the calm bay waters, and all the happy people walking by. The entire area is so well-designed for a day of fun and relaxation. Where the bay meets the shore🌊 and the sunshine is bright 🌞 Sailboats pass by with a graceful, white sail ⛵️ On the pier, life's simple, a beautiful tale🎣 #StPetePier #StPetersburgFL #FloridaLife #SunshineCity #WaterfrontViews #Florida

St. Pete Pier is an absolute must-visit for everyone! It’s the perfect mix of relaxation and fun with a vibrant playground for the kids, peaceful Bay Area lounges where you can dip your feet and unwind, and a lively food deck offering plenty of great spots to grab a bite or enjoy a drink. The views from the main deck at the end of the pier are simply spectacular especially at sunset. We’ve visited many times with family and friends, and it’s always a great experience. There’s also a convenient trolley that runs up and down the pier for those who prefer not to walk. If you go on a Saturday morning, don’t miss the local market full of unique finds, fresh treats, and local crafts. St. Pete Pier truly has something for everyone
Carolina J — Google review
This is a beautiful place to take the family. There are lots of things to enjoy such as the splash and a playground. There's beach access and also a tram if you'd rather ride to the end instead of walking. There are quiet places to sit with chairs set up just so you can enjoy the view. I highly recommend visiting here if you're in St Petersburg.
Sue M — Google review
The teake cafe has a great view, checkout the rainbow 🌈 we caught from the comfy corner - lots of wind. Makes me wish I brought my kitesurfing equipment- can see all the boats and waves. Such a cool spot. Trolley comes every 10-15 mins and it’ll take you from the parking lot to the pier. Fishers have a nice spot at the end too.
Alex E — Google review
A beautiful place to spend an entire day here. There are great food options as well as activities to choose from. You even have the option of going out on a boat or excursion from here. I also love visiting the Tampa bay watch center which houses a small aquarium. The splash pad is very spacious and nice. We also love the playground and all of its unique climbing structures and spaces. It’s perfect for kids of all ages and is split into two different sections. It is a very large playground as well. Also was surprised and pleased with the beach area. Overall a very clean and family friendly place to visit, you can easily spend the entire day here . If you visit st Pete you must come here!

The Chihuly Collection is a unique display of sculptures created by the renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. The collection features vibrant and intricate glass pieces, including large-scale chandeliers that create a carnival-like atmosphere. Visitors can witness live glass-blowing demonstrations at the Morean Glass Studio, providing insight into the technical skill and artistry behind each piece. This museum offers a breathtaking exhibit of color and light, showcasing the storytelling potential of blown glass artistry through its diverse and stunning displays.
I've not ever been a huge glass person, as far as art goes. But this place was really, really cool! I was visiting from out of town and came across it. What a fun surprise. A lot to see and really interesting pieces. Bright colors. Great presentation. Wonderful lighting. They also have a place you can go watch a live glass blowing class. Only $20 bucks. Worth stopping to check out!
Shae C — Google review
I feel the exhibits are under-maintained. Many of the larger pieces had dust all over the glass which takes away from the artworks’ color and beauty. Otherwise it’s a nice visit, smaller than the collection in Seattle but representative of some of the works there but I think there are more vases on display here. If you buy tickets in advance you’re prioritized and get access to the glass blowing demonstration which was my favorite part.
Dave — Google review
Incredible experience exploring the work by a visionary artist. The collection of glass art reflect several of his major series of work. Not a very large collection, but you really have the opportunity to examine the finer details of these spectacular pieces.
Jay S — Google review
Oh what a delight, in St. Pete by the bay, The Chihuly Collection will brighten your day! With glass that goes swirly, all twisty and tall, Colors exploding, it dazzles us all. Each gallery whispers, each sculpture will sing, From chandeliers glowing to glass birds that wing. It’s magic and marvel, a rainbow parade, A wonderland shining that Chihuly has made. So if you love beauty, unique, bold, and new, This museum’s a treasure, it’s waiting for you. A feast for the eyes, such a joy to behold, Five shining stars for this glass made of gold!

The Chihuly Collection was definitely worth seeing! Went there with my coworker friends and it did not disappoint. The art is very eye catching. The place is clean and staff are friendly, helpful, and professional. I highly recommend you stop here as part of your sight seeing adventure if you're from out of town. It's enjoyable if you're a local like me too! Warning: Not for little hands or impulsive wanderers unless you want to pay heavily for broken things you can't take home. Also space is wheel chair friendly and parking was simple.
Racha N — Google review
Nice exhibit. May I suggest you start with the video vs. Ending with it. I was disappointed in the gift shop. I thought it was very high end and didn't have any momento type items. Even earrings were not less than $150.

Absolutely worth walking through this collection. We learned so much about this amazing artist. We were also treated to a glass blowing demonstration at the end! Well worth the stop!

The Florida Holocaust Museum stands as a poignant reminder of the atrocities faced during the Holocaust, with a particular focus on local survivors' narratives. This museum offers an immersive experience through its meticulously curated collection of artifacts, photographs, artwork, and videos that delve into this harrowing chapter of history. A significant highlight is Boxcar #113 069-5, one of the few remaining railroad cars used by the Nazis for transporting victims to extermination camps like Auschwitz and Treblinka.
This is a very emotionally powerful museum. It is designed to be child friendly, so it doesn’t go as in-depth as some museums on the subject I’ve been to. The volunteer was very helpful in describing the museum and exhibits. They had two temporary exhibits going on during my visit. I found the “We Share The Same Sky” exhibit to be the most moving. It was very touching and had many items that brought me back to the museums of Europe. I would definitely return in the future, it’s a really special place here in Florida to be able to reflect on exhibits and items that normally you would have to travel to Europe to see.

I went on free Duke day. I needed to go. I was excited to see Thor. Also to re-read all the details. Each time you go you will learn something new. Found the yiddishism's delightful, as it is officially a dead language if we don't keep it alive. Looking forward to the use of the new terrace. Quite the location nowadays. Parking is tricky. Now I need a bagel.

Our tour was coordinated with the Eight O'clock Theater during rehearsal for and in preparation for Cabaret. Our guides, Maureen Murphy and Jennifer Bell were phenomenal. The experience is heart wrenching, somber, beautiful, important, and (somehow) still filled with hope and heroes. My (former) neighbor is featured in multiple exhibits which brought an extra element for me. I've known her story for decades but seeing and hearing it in the museum brings it to another level. It's an emotional and heavy experience that I absolutely recommend to everyone. History is important.

Wow, what a museum full of an abundance of history and information. There is a lot to read at this museum so heads up there. Also leave your purse in the car or be prepared to check it at the ticket window.

Very informative. There is a lot of reading. The visual effects were both generally striking and heartbreaking. There were also some recorded survivor statements. I thought this was well done for a regional museum. However, because it is just a small museum, it certainly could not compare to the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington DC, which I visited on a number of occasions.

Very educational and powerful exhibits. So much to learn from this museum and unique exhibits displaying individual experiences. My 4th grader read "Number the Stars" and "The War That Saved My Life" in school this year so it was valuable for her to learn more of the history behind her books. My 1st grader appreciated certain aspects of the museum, but didn't have the awareness to fully appreciate it. I'd love to go again without my kids in tow. The staff were amazing and very helpful. They had a sign that they will be starting renovations soon. I'd love to come back after those are completed!!!

A smallish and important museum. The stories are tragic and touching. The second floor exhibit was especially nice, although that part seems to change. This time, they had the "We Share the Same Sky" exhibit, which featured a granddaughter's look at her family history. We were able to get in for free using library passes, which was nice.

It's hard to explain until you go. I have seen news stories and read stuff online about the holocaust museum, but going has a huge impact. It's very informative and covers a heck of a lot that I never learned in school. I was very surprised at the lack of direction. This is a huge building and the interior has a lot of open space...and there are arrows, but not nearly enough for all the twists and turns inside the museum. ... and no idea which way to go on the second floor. Aside from but that, the displays were clear, if repetitive, and the information was way more involved than anything I had learned before.

Boyd Hill Nature Preserve in St. Petersburg, Florida, is a 245-acre natural sanctuary offering a peaceful retreat from the city. Visitors can explore winding trails through diverse ecosystems like pine flatwoods and freshwater marshes while observing native wildlife such as alligators, bald eagles, and gopher tortoises. The preserve also offers scenic tram tours with knowledgeable guides providing insights into the area's natural beauty and habitats.
This preserve is genuinely incredible. Right in the middle of St. Pete you've got a gorgeous mosaic of the nearly all the habitats Florida can offer (though I'm biased towards the uplands!) and they're clearly all lovingly and intelligently maintained. The city and preserve staff have done a wonderful thing here.

I went on a mini retreat here, and it was amazing, especially for my first time visiting. There were also some beautiful birds to see both as a part of the preserve and in their natural habitat. Our hike was guided, but there were several trails, so I look forward to coming back and trying to them.

This was a nice outing. They have great walking and biking trails and with the side trails you can easily do 5 miles. A gift shop, restrooms, kids playground, adequate parking, an aviary, water stations along the route, healthy snacks in the gift shop like strawberries, celery, peaches, and other cold snacks. They definitely need more magnets with the preserve on it as I collect magnets. We saw some wildlife, a baby alligator, raccoon, squirrels and an owl that was hooting at one of the caged owls. A worker there said that owl has been coming for a few seasons to probably "mate" and "talk" to one of the other owls. A pretty neat and safe place. Entrance fee is very reasonable.

went to this place for a Saturday morning walk and had no idea it was an entire ✨experience✨ but what an incredible surprise! they have so many trails to choose from. the flora and fauna is so diverse. it's a huge place so I doubt you'll ever feel like it's "crowded." The aviary was also a nice surprise. The birds were gorgeous and you get to read about their backstory! On the main trail there's a wooden swing with a beautiful skyline view. I'm in love!

This is a lovely place to walk through a natural park. We entered the park at the visitor center at the south end. There are three main trails going north-south. The one on the east follows more closely to the lake. After a while you can cross a pedestrian bridge to a small island with views of St Pete across the water. There were small alligators lounging under the bridge. This island is, I’m guessing, about halfway to the northern tip of the park. If you continue going north after getting back off the island, the trail offers less shade than the beginning of the walk. It gets pretty hot for us, Seattleites. We chose not to go all the way to the northern tip of the park because of the hot sunny trail. After a while you can get back to the middle trail (which also goes north-south), and it has the most shade. Once on the middle trail, we decided to try the western trail going north-south, but it also lacked shade except near the visitor center. It follows close to the western edge of the park, so you see and hear cars which we didn’t enjoy as much.

Beautiful preserve. Got my 10,000 steps and enjoyed every minute spent walking, talking, and snapping pictures. There's plenty of shade and water stations. The wildlife was plentiful.

We had a great trip! The cabins have been improved from our last stay, I love the new paint job. The playground is so unique, I’m not sure if it’s new but I don’t remember seeing it on my last trip. The trails are great and I LOVE the water stations!

Boyd Hills Raptor fest was fabulous! But in general it’s an awesome park to walk around and be apart of nature. Looking at the birds of prey they have rescued is quite thrilling. Their playground of the kids was fun as well. There is a small fee to walk the trails but it is worth it! It’s a great spot to see baby alligators and bird watch. Boyd Hill also has a TON of programs year round to get involved in. Overall it was a great experience. We will go back to visit the Nature Center as well.

The Morean Arts Center in St. Petersburg, FL is a contemporary art gallery that showcases the works of local and international artists. While it doesn't feature Dali's artwork, it focuses on displaying the talents of local and national artists, with occasional international features. The center also houses a permanent collection of Dale Chihuly's work and manages the Chihuly Collection.
The free admission center displays all kinds of art creations by local and international artists. The center offers all kinds of art classes from photography, painting, drawing, metal work, jewelry, glass, and more for adults and kids. They have some open studios for budding artists to come in and create. Art openings occur about once a month. Memory mornings include tours focused on people with dementia and their caregivers to provide a focused, quieter visit to the center. I'm looking forward to the Jan 17 exhibit of pottery by Florida university students. Wheel chair access throughout. Heavy door at entrance. Wheel chair access parking with most spaces pay by app and a few free street spaces with a 2 hour limit.

We had the pleasure of joining Matt in the Hot Shop for a Hot Date class on a Friday night after visiting the Chihuly exhibit. It was such a great experience and it really gave us an appreciation of the skill and physicality involved in creating glass artwork. Matt was a great instructor and was focused on fun and safety. We haven’t seen our final piece yet because it needs to rest a couple of days. I highly recommend and hope to do it again!

I loved seeing some of the SHINE ON Festival Artists on display & capturing it in a creative, unique way with my glass spheres. Never a dull moment of creative viewing at this charming establishment with friendly staff! I'm excited to see what future shows they offer to the public & and the majority of the time is free. I've even been to a cupcake contest and tasting here! I highly recommend it!

Loved our visit! This was our first time touring the museum and it was a great find. We just happened to see the poster advertising the kimono exhibit while walking down the pier, and decided to go. I'm glad we did! The kimonos were amazing and I learned so much about their design and meaning of some of the finer details. The rest of the museum was great to see too. I did not expect to see a Monet or Georgia O'Keefe! This is a great place to pop in if you're downtown. I look forward to seeing future special exhibits.

The galleries and exhibits are wonderful. Prices in the cafe on contrary are very expensive, $25 for a plain croissant, 1 slice of cake and espresso. Also the strange tacky, very large painting of the basketball player or whoever that is, in the middle of the main hall with old school classical paintings is totally unnecessary…out of place, kills the atmosphere of the room….

The seasonal activity is a simulated ice rink with plastic floor and felt snowballs--a real Florida kids ice skating experience. The interactive coloring and science events are always fun. What a great time my grandsons and I had at this adorable little museum today. The interactive exhibits were well appointed, neat and clean, and so interesting for preschoolers. Beyond that, the staff then provided brief shows….a dancing dragon and musical performances, bubbles…it was all so sweet. We took great photos and sent back to mom and dad, who were delighted. My only suggestion is that 10:30 am is a late time to start for this age group. Given most nap around noon or shortly thereafter, it would have been wonderful if we could have started the morning before 10.

I came here with my 4-year-old while visiting St. Pete. Feels like less of a museum and more like a large play area which is fine because that's exactly what we needed. My kid had a great time and especially loved shopping in the miniature Publix and the thing at the front where you use air pressure to launch a tennis ball. We came in the summer so even though it was a weekday it got pretty crowded which was a little overwhelming. I would definitely come back the next time we're in town.
Corinne — Google review
I think the idea is great. I loved the separate STEM areas and free parking. The price was reasonable as well. My dilemma is in the maintenance of the items, the cleanliness, and the overcrowding. I decided to go with my son and two others moms right when they opened on a weekday. We have toddlers all under 2. There were older kids in the toddler zones, mom’s not attending their kids and almost running over our small ones, some areas were filled with dirt/debris that my son kept trying to pick up, and broken equipment. If this place was better maintained and maybe has a children capacity/time slots, I would have paid the money for the annual membership despite living 40 min away. Unfortunately do to all the above, I will probably not be back.
Danaise F — Google review
Dirty. Lots of kids activities and interactions but it’s all so dirty. The museum was closed last week for maintenance but I went 4 days after it reopened and it was still so dirty. I only went into the fire department area (outside of the little kiddie zone) and the seats had tears in them and the equipment was extremely worn out and very dingy. The sandpit area for the little kids had a lot of hairballs and lint in it. The climbing toys have a dirty dark film over it. And all the interactive sensory toys nailed on the kiddie wall were broken. I’ll come back when my son is old enough to know better than to put the things in his mouth. The items can be cleaned of this dirt with a little hard wiping. The employees were kind. But when we walked in I saw 2 sitting at different areas just looking at the ground. I know it’s a boring job but what’s the point of them being in there with nothing to do? It was just weird looking.

Bath houses could be updated but are clean and functional. Washers and dryers available. Fishing from shore and nearby bridges and pier. Biking trails. Boat launch close by. Some recovery still going on from Helene and Milton but they have made huge progress. Roads through some areas in campground with huge potholes, be aware when moving coach to and from the campsites. Will visit again for the areas culture, beaches and value for the stay. Lots of restaurants, stores over the bridge. You will not be bored staying here.

Very large beaches, shallow water kind of clay ish sand. The walk from the parking lot you want to take at a job or get covered in mosquitoes. The walk to the pier however was breezy and bug free. Beautiful view of the sunset. Watched a few dolphins busy fishing. Even saw an approximate 4 ft shark come up top to eat some of the thousands of fish in their huge schools. Many of the fishermen were leaving with full buckets of caught fish. We saw multiple vessels and a margaritaville cruise leaving the bay. The pelicans and smaller birds were fun to watch as they dive into the water to arise with their meals. Nice visit with a $6 parking fee.

It offers a range of outdoor activities such as hiking, birdwatching, and paddling along designated trails for canoes and kayaks. Visitors can explore the diverse aquatic and upland ecosystems through nearly five miles of paths and boardwalks on foot or by water.
I had a great time visiting this park. The entrance is free, which is a huge plus, and the overall experience was just great. It was a beautiful day, and I really enjoyed walking around and taking in the sights. The restrooms were clean, which is always a relief when you're out and about. The only hiccup was finding parking; it was a bit tough to secure a spot since we arrived around noon. But overall, I highly recommend checking this place out!

We visited Weedon on our vacation since as a family, we enjoy hiking. It was a relatively easy hike with mostly dirt paths on the Boyscout trail which was more challenging even on a straightaway. The other trails had a boardwalk with several look out points and towers that one could climb. On our visit to FL, we chose to hike on a sunny weekday and it was relatively quiet. Lots of parking was available and there is an information centre where our young child was able to use the restroom. We hiked in January so there were no mosquitos however interestingly enough we saw lizards which my son loved. The weather was ideal as it was a warm 13C as opposed to our normal -10C. We chose to opt with windbreakers and layering options that we eventually took off. Highly suggest recommending sunscreen, snacks, hydration and taking breaks as needed. The two trails we traversed with our young son was quite easy as opposed to what we normally hike which is more of a hill and challenging terrain. Great for beginners and those looking for a leisurely stroll.

My husband and I love to find new trails to walk. I came across this place in my search and I’m so glad I did! We will definitely be back. Parking is free. When you first pull into Weedon preserve. You will drive about a mile or two before you come up on the first option for parking. You will see a gravel like area for a few cars to park at which will also have signage stating walking trail. These are the natural trails. They’re called north and south Boy Scout trails. These are beautiful natural trails. You will walk through trees on either side of you in nice cleared trail. You will walk over little ground bridges that add something fun to these trails. We walked both north and south trail and it was about 2 miles of trails. We do think that during rainy season these trails could be flooded in some areas. The bugs will also be pretty bad on these trails during the rainy seasons and hot Florida weather. We are here in March and it was absolutely beautiful this morning when we went. Once you exit these trails you will come across signage stating the direction of the other trails . We continued to follow those signs to the board walk trails. You will come up to an area that starts the boardwalk trails/paved walking trail. The boardwalk trails are beautiful! They sit a few feet above ground. They wind you in and out of beautiful trees and at times have areas to walk out to water views. Because this preserve has a lot to explore, most of the time we were on the trails alone. Occasionally walking by people, but most of the time we were enjoying the peaceful outdoor outdoors alone. We went around 9am. Eventually, we reached signs stating the direction to the information center. Once inside we were greeted by employees who give us information on the property and what all was inside this information center. This is a three-story building that has so much history. They even have a 1400 year-old canoe on display that they dug up on property. There is also a really cool walk-through exhibit that we did not expect to come across. Inside this building are the only bathrooms on property, a little gift shop with trinkets and a water fountain and water bottle fill station. They do not sell any water or drinks on property so make sure you bring your own. Once we left the information center, we saw signs directing us to the Lookout tower. This trail was a short amount of boardwalk that eventually led to a three story tower. You could climb to the top to get views of the surrounding area. My husband and I ended up exploring this whole property. The north and south Boy Scout trails were about 2 miles and rest of the boardwalk trails and information center were about 3 miles so in all we walked a little over 5 miles. You can walk as little or as much as you want on this property. Parking and everything is free so it’s such a great way to spend the day. They had a few areas with picnic tables if you choose to bring lunch and just enjoy the Florida outdoors. Don’t forget your water and bug spray! We also Saw in other reviews that parking was difficult, but we did go in the morning at 9 AM, parked by the natural trails so we didn’t have this same issue. We were the only car parked in those few parking spots when we arrived. No pets allowed at Weedon preserve.

On top of that, many of the pieces share important messages about human rights and culture, which I found beautiful and powerful. It’s amazing how much can be taught through art. The space itself is stunning, with breathtaking sculptures that really leave a mark. I went with my 7-year-old daughter, and she was fascinated too—she absolutely loved it. It’s definitely a place I want to visit again. ♥️

This was a very fun museum to explore. It didn’t seam like it would be much from the outside, but had plenty to offer on the inside. One could easily spend hours looking at everything this place has to offer. Something I appreciated was the variety of glass art they have on display. Some of the pieces leave you wondering how they were made while others leave you in awe in how patient the artists must be. For them this would truly have to be a passion with the levels of detail that went into their work. I enjoyed this museum so much I plan on making others trips back to take it in at a slower pace. If you want to be amazed with amazing pieces of glass work/art this is the place for you.

It was an amazing day for me and my children to see all the beautiful glassworks! It is National Pediatric day and we were there for free! We bought some really cool souvenirs! I love the colors and vibrancy of the glass display! It was not a big museum but there's so much in there that you'll be mesmerized! Everything is so organized! I love it so are my kids!

Its a cool museum, I enjoyed it even though it was extremely busy. We went on a free museum day, so we expected a ton of people. We had low expectations, but the art enamored my two daughters and I. It was my two daughters first museum experience. We were able to enjoy it, UNTIL some nasty, judgemental older woman used ugly, unprovoked language towards my 8 and 9 yr old daughter. Its sad you'll always have nasty people ruining great memories and moments. The woman got pretty loud and belligerent. There were so many employees working, I dont understand why no one stopped her or made her leave. I kept my composure and remained respectful. However that's the memory my children have of going to the Imagine museum and their first museum experience. Its so important to properly train employees/volunteers on what appropriate/inappropriate behavior is. They need to know how to handle situations like that. Also, apparently grown adults also need to be advised on proper museum procedures during events like this. There's no way a couple of people should expect a room full of people to move for their photo op ESPECIALLY during free museum day while yall have entire rooms and sections roped off. I guess I was disappointed in the experience but the actual art was magnificent. I heard people around me saying similar things.

There are surprisingly so many glass artists around this area and visiting this museum opened my eyes a bit on doing more research on who you choose to support. While it was jaw dropping just looking at each artist featured and their individual work, the majority(I'd say half or more) of the pieces featured are stamped by the museum owner, Trish Duggan. Feel free to Google the name and come to your own conclusions, but I will say she creates so much alien artwork that I started to guess that she very well may be an alien herself. I'm happy that the entry price was relatively low and hopefully that the money goes into the pockets of the other featured artists. Reading Christina Yates' story had me heartbroken and I'm glad to have experienced her art and story

Great museum with beautiful glass art. Lots to see on 2 different floors. Beautiful items to buy in the gift shop. Make sure to stop at the best bakery around on the first floor before leaving. The donuts were delicious.

Has some of the most Beautiful and amazing Glass Art I have seen! The 1st floor is the best hands down. Upstairs had a bunch of space themed (UFO) and new age art with comics or anime (definitely younger people made then) I wasn't a fan gave me the vibe of it just being thrown in there and was definitely out of place for me and it wasn't as creative as the glass arts. Overall this place is a must go if you are in the area. The Pictures do not do it justice! The GLASS Art is truly astounding and will make you say Wow!

Really amazing glass work on many levels. I attended 5 after 5 on Thursday. 5 bucks after 5pm. It was very kid friendly and the sculptures were really good. I don't want to spoil all great art with too many pictures but try the kids image hunt.

Nestled in the heart of downtown, the St. Petersburg Museum of History is a treasure trove that chronicles the vibrant past of this charming city known as Sunshine City. For over a century, it has been dedicated to showcasing significant local stories, from the dawn of commercial aviation to Major League Baseball's spring training traditions. Visitors can marvel at an eclectic array of exhibits featuring everything from a two-headed calf and an ancient Egyptian mummy to a working replica of the Benoist XIV airboat.
Pretty neat little museum with small but valuable data and exhibits from st Pete construction and political history to ww2 and mlb history. It is very cheap and worth the visit. I would def recommend this place. Specially if you live in Florida.

We walked in early afternoon today as we have the NARM membership so in my mind, it would’ve been a free visit. The woman at the front desk was rude and condescending after I asked why this particular museum didn’t take it, “she said then everyone would just walk in for free”, yes that’s the point of having a reciprocal membership. Anyway, we paid the $15/person entrance fee, honestly it should’ve been $5/person. It took us less than one hr to browse the semi empty, cold museum. There is currently the largest baseball exhibit my husband liked, a lot of war photos and info, voting in St Pete women’s rights area and some local art. It is a decent museum to stop in if visiting the St Pete Pier and/or dining next door, Perry’s Porch…now that’s a 5⭐️ experience.
Melanie M — Google review
If you are hoping for a “history of Saint Petersburg, Florida” experience, you might be disappointed. This small museum, tucked away behind the massive Museum of Fine Arts at the pier, hosts mostly informative placards on the wall talking about various wars (Spanish American War, War in Afghanistan, Korean War), the women’s movement in St. Pete, and the history of art influence in St. Pete. It has very few actual historical artifacts (probably about a dozen total). The two coolest exhibits are the over 5,000 autographed baseballs on display and the 3,000 year old mummy. It took me just under an hour (at a slow pace) to see the whole thing and— for me— the mummy was the coolest thing in there. If you are bored and wanting to kill time (like I was) it could be worth the $15 admission. But this is not a “go out if you way” type museum like the Museum of Fine Arts is.
Hannah E — Google review
Don’t waste your time, very disappointing! The only really St Pete history was the Vinny. Way too much baseball memorabilia. I’m sure the city pays a pretty penny to keep that opened and employ their relatives.
Misty F — Google review
Cute little museum. Good way to spend an hour or so learning more about the area. It is near the shore side of the pier so not a long walk out to it, or you could ride the shuttle up to it. If driving you would have to find a lot or street spot & then walk out to it. Variety of exhibits on the pier/parks of the area, history of civil rights in the area, aviation history and a baseball collection. We found the history of the area and the changes over the years very interesting. We also found out about the augusta bricks we kept seeing around town. I did think that the $15 admission was a bit steep for all the bigger the museum was.

We were in town for a few days for our 50th wedding anniversary. We are museum people. The St. Petersburg Museum of History - "Sharing Stories of the Sunshine City for 102 Years"- is located at the base of the new pier, While not a large museum, it is worth spending about an hour to see a gallery of Old Florida history, a tribute to the American soldier, and Florida women pioneers. The museum also features Schrader's Little Cooperstown, made up of nearly 5,000 baseballs and certified by Guinness World Records as the largest collection of its kind. Othet significant objects are a replica of the world's first commercial air boat, “The Benoist,” which flew from St. Petersburg to Tampa in 1914 and a 3,000-year-old mummy. Be sure to look at the sculpture of the newspaper boy outside the entry. It commemorates a newspaper contest, "The Sunshine Offer," that promised to give away newspapers to anyone every day that the sun did not shine in the ‘Burg. In a 76-year period, only 296 papers were given away. Hence the name: "The Sunshine City." If you go: Hours are Monday - Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Sunday 12-5 p.m. Tickets: $15 adult (18+), $12 senior (65+), $9 military and veteran, teachers and students, and children under 6 are free. Look for the $2.00 off coupon found in the Discover Downtown Guide found everywhere. Only one coupon was needed for two of us; we combined a senior discount with the coupon. While parking is available at the pier (the Dolphin Lot is the closest to the museum), both the FREE Looper Trolley and Central Avenue Trolley stop at the base of the pier. From there, it is a short walk to the museum. If you ride the free trolley, please be sure to trip your driver who is committed to getting you safely to and from your destination.

I recently read a book on the history of St Petersburg which referenced this Museum several times. So I was inspired to take a Saturday and visit this place. Very nice museum. I enjoyed the exhibits including the special exhibit they had called Alligators and Oddities that was very interesting and very bizarre. Everything about alligators you could ever want to know. They had a great autographed baseball collection. I am not a baseball fan but I certainly enjoyed looking at that. The best part was the replica airplane from the first commercial airline in St Petersburg. Overall the museum told the story of the story of St Petersburg quite well. There were quite a few bits of information not in the book. Well worth a rainy Saturday.

After completing our Segway Tour we visited this museum. I use to coach baseball and have been a fan all my life. Our tour guide said if you love baseball that we should go. She was right. There is several interesting history displays here but the baseball exhibit was by far the most interesting to me.

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg, FL offers a scenic drive with stunning views of Lower Tampa Bay. It's a popular spot for fishing and also provides access to nearby attractions like the Salvador Dali Museum and Tropicana Field for baseball games. The bridge, constructed in the late 1980s, spans over 4 miles and reaches heights of 190 feet above the water to accommodate boat traffic below.
Beautiful bridge! We’ve now seen it from both angles—even went under it by boat! Driving up gives you a bit of an intimidating feeling at first, but it’s really not as scary as people say. That said, it might not be ideal for those afraid of heights or bridges. Personally, I thought it was a fun experience!

Crossing the Sunshine Skyway Bridge is beautiful any time of day with open water and views all around. Downtown St. Petersburg is visible in the distance with downtown Tampa even farther away. It’s especially nice at sunset when the colors reflect off the water. An impressive drive that really shows off the areas scenery.

Driving across country was a goal of mine.I have seen many great sights and experienced many things. But the Sunset Skyway Bridge tops the cake. Beautiful all around and worth paying to go down the piers and see the sights.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of those views... I used to do the commute from Bradenton to St. Pete back in the day... I was always appreciative of my commute. That was probably the only time in my life were I was in awe of my commute... lol. It was one of those rare occasions where I was thankful for everything! I got to drive across the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on a regular basis! Occasionally I'd exit the rest stops just to admire the scenic views, especially the Sunsets and sometimes the Sunrise as well. Driving over the bridge was SO surreal....
Mika'ele K — Google review
We visited the bridge after 8 PM, excited by many reviews recommending the night view for the lighting effects. From about a mile or two away, the bridge looked stunning lit up and full of promise. But as we got closer, we were disappointed to find that the lights were only underneath the bridge on the pillars, not along the top or on the iconic cables. It didn’t match what we had imagined. We wish we had visited during the daytime or around sunset, which probably would’ve became a memorable day of our life. Still, an impressive piece of engineering worth seeing, just time your visit right!

The lady on the plane told us about this bridge. Going across it I didn’t really see what the whole hype was about. There are two really unique fishing piers ,one when you start and when we end, I guess that’s where the old bridge was. Looks like a nice bridge.

Sunshine Skyway Bridge 6-26-25 Every time I drive over this bridge I get a thrill. Traffic moves over this bridge fast and you’re going up what feels like a large hill. It feels like you’re in an Airplane by the time you get to the peak of the bridge as you can see forever. At night it looks amazing all lit up. I can’t wait to get up that way again just to cross this bridge. I must give this bridge a 5 out of 5 stars because of the true awesomeness of it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More Reviews & Fun. The James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art in downtown St. Petersburg, FL is a captivating gallery showcasing contemporary Western, Native American, frontier, and wildlife art. The museum's exterior features meticulously placed sandstone blocks resembling artistically designed cliffs. Inside, visitors are greeted by a two-story waterfall and over 26,000 square feet of exhibit space dedicated to preserving traditional Old West American folk art.
I have wanted to come here for years, and I am so happy we made it. Wow, the amount of artwork hidden inside this gem was breathtaking. This museum is not to be missed, if you are a local, or visiting, make time for this museum, you will not regret it. We needed so much more time as we got there pretty late in the day, but $10 Tuesdays have my name all over them. The artwork is some of the most breathtaking I’ve seen. The artist’s various techniques were both hyper realistic and surreal all at the same time, and very unique. The landscapes, the way the mist and clouds were painted was really amazing and the colors the artists achieved and brushstrokes are just like I’ve not really seen before. I could’ve easily spent double the amount of time here.

We've been to many museums all across America. This is definitely one of the best. The architectural design of the museum is enough to put it at the top of the list. The exhibits were incredible, and there were far more paintings and statues than we anticipated. We look forward to taking visiting family and friends there in the future.

The art of the American West - and the spirit of its native peoples - come to life at the James Museum in St. Petersburg. It’s an absolute treasure, nestled in the quaint but urban downtown center of this coastal city. Steps from the cultural center of St. Pete, this modern homage to a by-gone era is a delightful journey for everyone. Take a solo tour or enjoy a family or group adventure. The artwork is divine, the stories filled with joy and sorrow, and the scenery of this lost land is preserved with dignity and majesty. The cafe and store are both worth perusing, and the bar is an authentic wooden fixture that conjures the saloons of Deadwood, where a sarsaparilla might pare with some tales of wandering ‘round the yellow roses of Texas. If you’re in St. Pete, do not miss this experience. And remember to hit the Dali Museum as well. They’re both reminders that this is an art colony, and there’s more to explore than just the beaches, water sports, and cuisine.

The James Museum truly exceeded our expectations! Our wedding was everything we had hoped for and more. The waterfall and bronze sculptures in the Arroyo added a special touch to our ceremony. Valeria was nothing less than amazing to work with! She was extremely helpful and very patient in answering our questions throughout the planning process. The James Museum was also very accommodating to our requests, which proved how much they truly care about their clients. Our guests really enjoyed the opportunity to explore the galleries during cocktail hour and complemented the unique atmosphere. It was truly the perfect venue for a night we’ll never forget.

Wonderful museum about American west. It freely expresses the tension between European American and Native American. The exhibit tries to achieve a historical accuracy through modern and contemporary artworks. The most surprising exhibit is about the Chinese immigrants who were invited by European Americans to build the railway. The brief introduction is available with business style presentation. Hence, we can found a relatively complete west picture in this museum.
Wei Z — Google review
Will return to this wonderfully curated museum of contemporary art. The museum has eight galleries, showcasing sculptures, paintings, jewelry, and other artifacts created by contemporary artists. From the Belknap family's journey from Ohio to Oregon in the 1840s, to Chinese railroad laborers, to jewelry, the Black Moccasin Meeting Lewis and Clark sculpture, and Clint Eastwood's spaghetti western painting. The $75m James Museum of Western & Wildlife Art was created by Tom and Mary James and opened in 2018. Thomas James (born 1942 or 43) is the chairman of Raymond James Financial, which was founded by his father, Robert James (1909-83). It's based in St. Pete. I think the firm is more like eTrade than Morgan Stanley.

Sawgrass Lake Park is one of the most popular attractions in St. Petersburg. The park spans 400 acres and features a mile-long elevated boardwalk with options for wildlife observation. The park also has canals and lakes perfect for fishing, as well as a half-mile dirt trail for hiking or biking.
Beautiful housing area before getting to the park. Love the wooden nature trails that are shielded by the trees. We got to see a baby alligator among other things. The wind was blowing. I loved getting my steps in while being outside enjoying nature. The bathrooms and trails are well kept.

This is REALLY a great park and wildlife preservation with lots of information on the nearby animals in the area, indigenous animals of Florida! The boardwalks that are here provide ample spaces for walks into the park over the lakes and streams that are here, also we were able to see live alligators in there natural habitat only several feet from us. It's a great place for family outings or just to take a walk alone or for healthy afternoon exercise. There are plenty of benches set up around the park and trail to provide rest and relaxation if you just want to sit and take in nature that's all around you!

This is probably the best and most well-maintained nature-centered boardwalk I've ever been on! It's so well-labeled to keep pedestrians on the right path, and I love that you can run/walk in so many loops (vs one way in/one way out) I made this a 3.2 mile run, but you can really make this as short or long as you'd like. I'll definitely be back for my regularly <5 mile runs Key words: running, walking, jog, jogging, stroll

Vinoy Park in Full Florida Glory – A Must-Visit Hot Spot Vinoy Park absolutely comes alive during the warmer months—especially on weekends—and this past visit was no exception. If you’re looking for a place where sunshine, waterfront views, and people-watching collide in the best possible way, this is it. Set right on the edge of Tampa Bay in downtown St. Pete, Vinoy Park offers sweeping views of the water, sailboats drifting by, and a perfect mix of city and nature. It’s clean, well-maintained, and has just the right mix of open grass, shaded trees, and pathways for walking, jogging, or just soaking it all in. Now let’s talk about the energy. When the sun is out, Vinoy Park turns into a magnet for locals and tourists alike. You’ve got joggers, dog-walkers, yoga groups, families picnicking, and yes—plenty of beautiful people catching rays and enjoying life. It’s a mix of casual and beachy with a touch of downtown flair. If you appreciate the Florida lifestyle—tanned skin, shades on, and music drifting in from a Bluetooth speaker—this is your kind of crowd. The “hot times” vibe is real. People show up ready to enjoy the day. You’ll see paddleboarders out on the water, sunbathers stretched out in all directions, and couples strolling hand-in-hand with their iced coffees. It’s a social scene, but relaxed and low-pressure. Nobody’s in a rush. Everyone just seems to be exactly where they want to be. Whether you’re coming for a festival, an outdoor workout, a peaceful morning stroll, or just to take in the scenery and the crowd, Vinoy delivers. And if you’ve got a thing for eye candy? Let’s just say this park is not short on that either. Pro tip: show up around golden hour, bring a folding chair or a blanket, and enjoy the breeze off the bay. You’ll leave feeling like you just got a taste of everything good about St. Pete. 5 stars. Will be back. Might never leave.

Duke Energy Center for the Arts - Mahaffey Theater is a theater in downtown Saint Petersburg, Florida that offers a variety of events. The theater has comfortable box seats and a waterfront view which makes it an excellent place to see live music or theatrical performances.
We have sat through many events at the Mahaffey Theater from the very front to the very back. There really isn't a bad seat in the place. If you sit in the pit (right up front) , you will need to look up or to the side if you aren't in the middle. They serve alcohol and have several bars. The bars to the side usually have smaller lines.

Nice venue with great views. Even the back sections feel close to the action. Staff was not very helpful with navigating the theater and the no camera policy sucks. Tons of people at the show were shooting video and the bright screens were an annoyance yet I was turned away with a camera that had no light up display, a camera specifically purchased for low lighting venues.

I had a wonderful experience at the sold out Jessie Reyez concert at Jannus Live. She completely owned the stage, and the crowd’s energy matched her vibe perfectly. The sound and stage setup were incredible, and the atmosphere felt very safe. I arrived about 50 minutes before the doors opened, stopped for a drink and some water which weren’t overpriced and still got a great spot. The line moved quickly, security did a great job checking my wristlet and ID, and they even passed out water. I really enjoyed myself and would highly recommend this venue. It’s in a great area with plenty of spots to eat before or after the show. Definitely an 11/10 experience!

Jannus is an awesome outdoor venue! The sound is excellent and the setup is fun. Right in the heart of downtown st Pete surrounded by restaurants bars and awesome spots to check out before or after the concerts. Prices aren’t too bad for food and drinks $$ Great venue that holds about 2k people!

Went to Jannus Live to see the legendary Acid Bath. Very cool venue, and big shout out to the bartenders and venue staff. Great location with plenty of hotel and food options nearby. Not much seating so wear comfy shoes. The ground is uneven, watch your step, especially if you've had a few adult beverages.

Very cool venue with great bar staff. They hold some pretty big names on a significant stage with plenty of floor space to enjoy the performance. Honestly found this place to be better than expected. Had a great time!

1st time at Jannus Live for a concert to see Barrington Levy. Great atmosphere, the sound was really good, drinks were eh, but I wasn’t there for the drinks. Excellent view for the value of the ticket. Totally open venue but there are some covered areas, and they also served pizza. Easy parking in local garages.

Jannus Live is truly a gem among outdoor venues, offering an intimate atmosphere that enhances every performance. The vibrant energy of the crowd combined with the enchanting backdrop creates a magical experience that lingers long after the final notes fade away. Hosting legends like Peter Hook and The Light, also known as New Order, is a testament to the exceptional quality of the events held here. Their performance was a breathtaking journey through sound, filled with nostalgia and electrifying moments. Thank you to both the venue and the artists for providing an unforgettable night that I will cherish forever!

The St Petersburg Shuffleboard Club, celebrating its 100th anniversary in January 2024, is the world's oldest and largest shuffleboard club. The Art Deco complex features 32 lit courts and an old grandstand, reflecting the sport's popularity as a spectator event. The club hosts the beloved St. Pete Shuffle on Friday nights, offering family fun with the option to bring your own food and drink.
St. Pete Shuffle is the oldest and largest club in the world, right here in St. Pete! It's a special place, a great way to meet people in the community and learn a new sport. I have lifelong friends from getting involved in the club and playing on a league team. If you're even a little curious, I encourage you to come out on a Friday night or sign up for beginner boot camp. Everyone is welcome!

This is your sign to go! Just do it! So fun, it’s BYOB and just a really different date night or fun hang with your friends. You can’t beat that kinda fun $10 bucks. We were helped by David, and he was awesome. Made the experience even better than it already was!

Can't speak highly enough about the St Petersburg Shuffleboard Club! My husband and I got married there in November 2023, and the staff went above and beyond to make our day perfect. If you're looking for an out-of-the-box wedding, it's an amazing place for it! They have super affordable rates, and we were able to customize how many lanes we wanted for how many hours, as well as rent other areas of the Club. Just become a member to start the process, and you won't regret that bit either! All photos in this review taken by our wonderful photographer Abby Weeden

A Gem of Fun and Hospitality in St. Pete! My recent experience hosting a kids' birthday party at the St. Pete Shuffleboard Club was nothing short of exceptional. Despite intermittent rain throughout the day, at the appointed party time, the courts were immaculately clean, dry, and ready for play. What struck us most was the warm and welcoming atmosphere. For many attendees, it was their first visit, and the club felt like a hidden treasure in St. Pete. The staff members were incredibly friendly and patient; taking the time to engage both children and adults in learning and enjoying the game. It was heartwarming to see everyone, regardless of experience, having a blast. It's a place where fun knows no bounds and where every guest, young or old, felt included and embraced. We highly recommend these facilities for hosting events!

Had a blast with 2 other couples. Weather a little chilly. Music playing was of good choice and courts were perfect. Highly recommend. Becoming members here. So much fun our group bought our own equipment to play.

What a cool venue! Was here for a wedding and was sad I didn't have the chance to play shuffleboard. Lots of room to wander and is a great place for large groups or parties There are many courts arranged around the club and restroom facilities are clean.

The Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center offers an intriguing exhibit called "Snakes of the Estuary," showcasing native snakes and their ecological importance. The center also provides insight into the estuary's history and conservation efforts, highlighting its pivotal role in the area. Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences such as feeding seahorses and interacting with marine creatures in a touch tank. Additionally, they can join engaging eco tours led by knowledgeable marine biologists to further explore the surrounding wildlife.
Excellent morning snorkeling in Tampa Bay, nice boat ride out to sandbar with dolphins circling around. Beautiful wildlife in the water and the air. Highly recommend this trip! Staff allowed us to gently remove wildlife out of the water, put them into a clear container with salt water to teach us about them. Saw a lot of new creatures!
Luanna A — Google review
I started out by taking the Tampa Bay day time bird cruise myself on Monday, just to kind of go out on the boat. To find a little bit about it as I have a high-functioning child that's very interested in zoology. I wanted to see exactly what what happened before we decided to go snorkeling not only was Grace very informative on the tour, but Capt. Bob was absolutely amazing. Explaining things to everybody and just making everybody feel safe. I forget the young lady's name that was working with Grace that day. She was an intern as she was also learning. But we were trying to stay away from a storm that day, and Capt. Bob made sure everybody was informed of what was going on, because the storm rolled in out of nowhere. And he kept everybody 100% safe. Safe. Enough to where I felt very comfortable coming back Saturday and doing the snorkeling tour with my son and my daughter-in-law. Let me tell you what again Grace. Was there hands down amazing!!! She knows her stuff, very interesting facts finding out from her and she made my son even more interested now working in water. So living in Missouri and traveling to Tampa every 3 months, I have a feeling. This will be on our list every time we come, because he had an absolute blast. So did I honestly, my daughter in law has now also found her new fun time.Release she loved the snorkeling. I can't wait to do it again and can't wait to see you guys again. I wish I could say I got some snorkeling tour photos, but I didn't, but I did get some regular boat tours. We didn't bring an underwater camera this time.I'm kind of glad we didn't because it was kind of fun but it was a little scary too not knowing where your feet were gonna step. You can see the crazy storm that rolled in. Once we got out into the bay and captain Bob did amazing, keeping us away from that storm.
Valarie R — Google review
My family and I had a wonderful time on this eco boat tour! We saw lots of birds and dolphins and got to learn a bunch about the bay- we even got to see some sealife up close when they did a net pull! 10/10 recommend for any locals or out of towners! Great way to spend a beautiful afternoon on the water checking out the beauty of the bay.
Elis S — Google review
We had the best crew ever! Brooke, Audrey, Lexi, Sydney, Emma and Kyra were sooooo knowledgeable and we loved learning from them. My teen wants to study biology so it was so cool for her to take part in real research and ask the crew questions. She felt so special 🥰 Thank you for all the knowledge and for your love of conservation and all the beautiful creatures of the sea. Would highly recommend this excursion to anyone who loves to learn!
Lauren W — Google review
We enjoyed visiting here and had fun doing the scavenger hunt. Loved the touch tank and learning about the animals there. A beautiful establishment aimed at education. There was a sensory sand bin for children I thought was a really nice thing. I learned some new facts about the waters surrounding Tampa bay and look forward to coming back in the future. I am excited for future events that take place here and hope to attend a dissection class. Would also be interested in the eco tours they offer. The membership was a great deal and offered a lot of good perks. Will definitely be returning and recommending to my friends!
Holly K — Google review
This is a cute, small interactive discovery center in the Pier area, in fact you can take the tram for a quick ride w/ the kiddos. It’s worth a visit as each child gets a scavenger hunt sheet which it took my 2 and 4 yr old about 30 mins to find everything. Adults are $8 and children $3, free though w/ some reciprocal memberships(Great Explorations is one). Paid parking in lot w/ park mobile app, easy and affordable.
Melanie M — Google review
Very cool little discovery center to stop by when you are visiting St Pete’s Pier! Entry was $8 for an adult. In our experience, there was no need to buy tickets in advance, we just walked in and purchased them. It was very cool to see the lined seahorses, and discovery center employees were very kind and told us a bit about the animals.
Olivia M — Google review
If you can find some time to come here definitely do! Every single person I talked to was so friendly and passionate about the different animals here. It’s small but honestly worth coming in and checking out. We happened to come in at a time where there was going to be a squid dissection. We went, thinking it was going to be one staff demonstrating. It was actually us who would be dissecting with guidance from staff who taught us a lot!! I would love to go again

Shell Key Preserve is a 1,828-acre wildlife preserve located in the mouth of Tampa Bay, featuring a 195-acre barrier island known as Shell Key. Accessible only by boat, this undeveloped island offers camping permits and various nature activities. Visitors can kayak through mangrove tunnels, explore sandbars, and spot abundant marine life. Guided tours are recommended for an optimal experience.
Gorgeous, easy paddle around the preserve. You have to see the beautiful beach with shells hanging from the tree branches, left there after high tide. Friendly cormorants escort you around the area. Saw some dolphin, lots of fish, birds.

Shell Key is pure paradise! I’ve gone by paddleboard or jet ski, it’s always a magical escape full of wildlife. I love spotting dolphins, seabirds, and I’m amazed how often I see flamingos wading in the shallows, it never gets old! You can easily get there by kayak or boat too. It’s the perfect spot to unwind, explore, and feel close to nature. Please be sure to bring water, sunscreen and anything you need for your stays, as there are nothing but nature there (which is perfect for unwind).

Good trip. Park to park at the boat ramp. $6. Then that does you for the whole day at the park apparently. About 25 mins sail.to shell key. Went at 10am. Can hire umbrellas for 5 dollars. We didn't bother as was gonna get the 12.30 ferry back. Lots of people had coolers, beach tent things. Lots of little shells but didn't find any big ones. Even with a bit of snorkeling.

Beautiful ferry ride, beautiful beach. Got to see a manatee and dolphins. Swimming and snorkeling was kinda difficult as boats are allowed to be very close and create alot of waves. Not really kid friendly.

This is a great preserve to visit for paddle boarding and kayaking. There's usually a couple people out there fishing too. It is mostly shallow water which is good for younger kids to play. Highly recommended!

I had the best birthday ever! I loved everything about it. I'm sorry I forgot everyones names, but the gentleman who brought the horses was a sweet as pie! Absolutely adored him. And our guide was awesome! She eased our nervousness and made sure we were all fitted to the right horse. I felt safe at all times and can't describe how much I enjoyed myself. If you have never been on a horse or if you are an experienced rider, this is for you. My horse Daisy was great and our instructor gave us very clear directions. (Especially when the horses got hungry lol.) My boyfriend had an amazing time too! Doobie was perfect for him. Thank you again, I will be back for sure! Not just for special occasions. And the pictures that the instructor took for us were really good! Absolutely hands down worth every penny. Thank you for a memorable birthday!

Highly recommend Cypress Breeze for a fun horseback ride in Pinellas Park. Who knew these wonderful trails were there! First and foremost...the horses are in excellent condition and very well cared for. I'm an experienced rider/horse owner, needed a break visiting family, and my big mount, Apache, was a great ride, responsive and very well trained. Monika, the owner, took me out on a even after a family of 3 had to change plans. It was like riding with a girlfriend. First timers or experienced- and don't fib about your skills- these folks have the perfect horse for you to have a wonderful time with.

They take in unwanted and injured horses and take good care of them. The ride was also fun and scenic as well as the horses beautiful! We learned a lot about the various breeds and the work they’re doing to help all the animals they take in. It was fun and I recommend!

My husband and I booked for our anniversary. It was a little drizzly but it cleared up. They even gave us the option to reschedule but we all wanted to proceed. From the moment we pulled up, cats came up to great us. They were the sweetest. Smokey, the small grey cat let me carry him around. The horse I rode was Stanley and my husband got Thor. Stanley loved to snack on the ride so we called him “snackin Stanley”. For riding in the city, the trail was really cool and enjoyable. The ride was the perfect length for new riders because any longer and you might not be able to get off the horse from being so sore. The guides are friendly and the horses are very sweet and easy to ride and guide. Stanley new when to stop and go, I only had to kick him a little when he stopped to snack 😂 I highly recommend this farm because of the sweet animals and the kind employees and owners. We loved it and would love to do it again.

Visitors can also witness live demonstrations at the hot shop where artisans create their latest masterpieces. We are always looking for places to visit that we've not seen before. Have no idea how we didn't catch this earlier. Nice cozy vibe and very friendly, and helpful, staff. We made a visit to check out some different style wine and glad we did. Stayed for a complimentary tasting session and left with some nice offerings. Hannah was our tasting host and she does an excellent job of explaining each sample and providing guidance on the sampling and other product uses. All the wines are made from real fruits, mostly from Florida, with some outsourcing as necessary. But all are non-grape wines. The Guava wine is simply amazing. The pineapple will blow your mind. The orange wine slushie mix sample we had had all those memories of creamcicles and the old style baby aspirins. Just so good. Brought home a few items and will be enjoying them very soon. Look forward to coming back as there are just so many good choices here.

Overall, mine and my wife's experience wasn't bad. The establishment is very cute and offers a nice selection of wines, a beautiful little shop, and a very nice seating area with a good atmosphere. The wine expert that served us was very sweet and attentive and knew her stuff. My wife ordered a flight of wine, which came in 4 smaller glasses on the back of a turtle (see photo), which was adorable! The reason for 3 stars is that the size of the glasses was a lot smaller than expected for $15. We did not feel like we were getting our money's worth.. might be so.ething for management to think about... P.S. we bought 3 bottles of wine so it wasn't so bad!

My wife and I stumbled upon Florida Orange Groves Winery after our original plans in St. Pete fell through, and it turned out to be a happy accident! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and relaxed. Greg guided us through our wine tasting and was an absolute pleasure—friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun. We also opted for the charcuterie board to pair with the tasting, and I highly recommend it—it really enhances the flavors of the wines and makes the visit feel extra special. If you’re looking for a laid-back, enjoyable wine tasting in the area, this place is a gem. We left smiling and will definitely be back!

She was so friendly and welcoming and really gave us a feeling for Florida Orange Groves Winery. Elle was knowledgeable about the brand and was obviously a huge fan of the wine they make (for good reason) so her passion for the company really shone through, which was a joy to share. Thank you, Elle. You're an asset to FOGW! The tour was great and informative but we were really there for the wine tasting which did not disappoint. We had 6 tasters of fruit wine and 3 tasters of wine slush and all of them were delicious. We each got to select a can of wine to take home so we picked our favourites (which admittedly was hard to choose). I've attached a picture of the freebies that came with our ticket, including the cans we chose. It was under $100 for all four of us including all of the freebies so it is absolutely worth visiting. The building itself is really lovely and the seating area is so comfortable. They sell some great products and lovely keepsakes all at a reasonable price. All in all, a fantastic day and we would all highly recommend paying them a visit. The wine is so delicious and moreish so prepare yourselves to want more!

Upham Beach Park is a serene and picturesque destination located in the northern section of St. Pete Beach, Florida. Unlike its busier counterparts, this beach offers a wide expanse of white sandy shores backed by dunes, creating a tranquil setting for visitors. The area is known for dolphin sightings and light surfing opportunities, adding to its allure.
Ran out to catch the sunset, the pathway out to the beach was short and easy from the parking area, which was a bonus. Sand is smooth and clean, view was beautiful of course. The fog came rolling in as soon as the sun set, was quite a thing to witness! Short walk down the beach and some beach bars are opened back up again since the storm, enjoyed a beer in front of a heater and live music to cap the night. Will be back soon 🥰

Upham Beach Park has officially stolen my heart! It’s hands down the most beautiful and relaxing beach I’ve visited so far. From the moment you arrive, there’s this sense of calm that washes over you. The soft sand, gentle waves, and open space make it the perfect spot to unwind, whether you’re there for a full beach day or just a quiet sunset walk. Speaking of sunsets… they are absolutely breathtaking here. The way the sky lights up over the Gulf—it’s the kind of view you want to freeze in time. Peaceful, stunning, and never overcrowded, it’s my favorite place to watch the day fade. A major highlight of Upham Beach Park is Paradise Grille. This spot is a true gem. Their food and drinks are delicious! Fresh, casual, and just what you want when you’re relaxing by the water. Whether you're grabbing breakfast, lunch, or a frozen drink, they always hit the mark. The prices are super reasonable, and the customer service is outstanding. Everyone working there is friendly, fast, and genuinely kind, which just adds to the whole beachside vibe. If you’re looking for a beach that offers natural beauty, peaceful vibes, incredible sunsets, and great food & and drinks, just steps from your towel, Upham Beach Park is it! 🏖🌊🌯🥗🍹🤗🥰

Loved it! First time coming to Upham Beach in St. Pete and I absolutely loved it! Plenty of parking spots right by the beach, clean bathrooms, a nice bar, and even outdoor showers. The water was perfect, and the whole place was just beautiful. Definitely one of my new favorite beach spots!

First time here, and we loved it! This is one of the best beaches we've ever visited. Parking was great. The sand was perfect. There was a beautiful mix of shells throughout the beach. The water was a cool temperature. It was also a nice turquoise color. There are beautiful large rocks to walk on and take wonderful pics. We went on a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded at all. I highly recommend this beautiful beach for everyone. Watch for the seagulls. If you give an inch, they will take a mile.
Orion P — Google review
One of Upham’s charms is its family-friendly atmosphere. The shallow waters are perfect for children to splash around safely, and the gentle waves make it a popular spot for swimming and paddleboarding. For those looking to relax, there are plenty of rental options for beach chairs and umbrellas, allowing you to lounge comfortably while enjoying views of the turquoise waters. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate Upham Beach’s natural beauty. Seagulls swoop overhead, and dolphins occasionally frolic in the distance, adding to the beach’s allure. Sunset here is a must-see, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink over the horizon, creating a breathtaking backdrop for evening strolls. While Upham Beach isn’t as crowded as some neighboring spots, its popularity means it’s best to arrive early to secure your spot during peak seasons. Overall, Upham Beach offers a perfect blend of relaxation, natural beauty, and family-friendly amenities, making it a top choice for a day of sun and sea on St. Pete Beach

Nestled just a short drive from St. Petersburg, the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum is a hidden gem for car enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This expansive museum boasts an impressive collection of around 70 vintage vehicles, primarily focusing on the creative engineering of cars from the 1920s to the 1930s.
What a great display of automotive history. ANTHONY and JOHN answered all my questions and gave me lots of info on the cars and the history. They show many cars before the time of Henry Ford. The video showed one of the vintage out on the road for a more dynamic view of the auto. the owner's wife SUSAN is also a wealth of knowledge. They even have a red MG just like the one my grandma drove me in as a child through East St. Louis IL when the car was new, not a vintage show piece. By the way, the MG is for sale. The library area offers many books and a sitting area. Printed info sheet in four languages. Great collection of cars that you can see close up. The tiny gift shop offers apparel, a host of vintage car postcards, and car pens that are apparently selling like hotcakes. Accessible venue with accessible restroom with grab bars. Accessible wheel chair parking with van access in free private lot.

Such an incredible collection!! Both Susan and Wayne were so kind to us! We had such a wonderful experience. So many unique and rare models! It was incredible to hear that all vehicles are operational. So many museums have cars that aren’t maintained or don’t run. It was so amazing. 10/10 recommend! I brought my dad, a car maniac and he couldn’t stop talking about it!!

I don’t know a carburetor from a carb, and I once called a clutch “that pedal thing,” but this place? Totally blew me away. 🚗💨 The Tampa Automobile Museum is basically a love letter to cars — but the kind written by a genius family with a ridiculous collection of rare, one-of-a-kind classics that somehow all belong to them. Some of these beauties are the only ones left in existence! It’s like walking through a museum and stumbling into a secret garage full of time-traveling robots. Even if you don’t speak engine, you’ll still fall in love with the design, history, and pure cool factor of these mechanical masterpieces. Honestly, I came for the air-conditioning and left low-key obsessed. 🔧❤️ Highly recommend. Bonus points if you can name more than three car parts. (I cannot.)

What a pleasant experience. Not your average Automobile Museum. I saw cars I have never ever seen before. This private collection can make Jay Leno jealous! Every single car is registered to drive and gets taken out for a drive once a year. The restoration of the cars are top notch. Totally fell in love with the interiors. The fabrics, the colors, the dash boards. We loved it. Thank you very much to Wayne, for sharing your knowledge on this World Class collection.

Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum, located just north of Vinoy Park in St. Petersburg, is a serene 2-acre waterfront park showcasing over 500 palms and cycads from around the world. The lush tropical gardens were once a mini-golf course but have been transformed into a tranquil oasis with winding red brick paths, open green spaces for picnics, gazebos, benches, and drinking fountains.
Just take a moment to find the trail, and you will enter into a different world than the one of beach playing. This one is a wonderful world of palms! I have lived in Florida for 10 years now and had no idea of so many species of palms! I recommend the adventure club app to get to really know these trees and areas. My boyfriend and I seek arboretums out in every town we visit, each one has a different vibe, all good ones too! Highly recommend YOU find them hiding all around the United States. This one was special. It is home to a specific tree type, 800 species! What?! It was a beautiful day with an amazing person. Well, are you on your way there yet? We had our wedding ceremony at Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum and it was the most beautiful location. For any brides looking for a wedding ceremony site, we had 160 guests and could have fit 20 more. Extremely cost effective, minimal need for decor, and secluded. The park itself is beautiful, lush, and green!

This palm arboretum along the ocean front contains over 800 specimens consisting of 235 different palms and 100 different cycads. It was established in 1975 by Gizella Kopsick and has grown over the years from several purchases and donations. There are specimens from many countries including Cuba, Jamaica, India, Mozambique, Madagascar, and many others. The arboretum is in 2 sections with a grass area between them. There is about .5 miles of brick paths, benches, water fountains and rest rooms. There are beautiful views of the ocean. The arboretum is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive from the St Pete pier. Big parking lot if you drive. Entry is free as is parking. Highly recommend the beautiful walk on the paved path along the ocean.
Mike Z — Google review
Visited the park on a peaceful Sunday afternoon and had such a wonderful experience. There’s no cost for entry or parking, which is a bonus, and the location itself is both convenient and tucked away enough to feel like a quiet escape. The views of the ocean are absolutely beautiful, calm, and perfect for anyone who loves being near the water. One of the most fascinating parts of the park is learning about the many different types of palm trees from around the world. It’s incredible to see so many variations in one place. The setting feels like a hidden tropical garden. I spent some time sitting on a park bench just soaking in the atmosphere. It’s a truly serene and grounding place. The park is spotless, clearly well-maintained, and offers a sense of calm that’s hard to find in busier areas. This is one of those spots that’s perfect for a romantic stroll, quiet reflection, or simply connecting with nature. I’d highly recommend visiting if you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with stunning ocean views and a refreshing sense of tranquility.

I have spent more breezy quiet midnights and golden hours here with my pup than I can count. It has been my solitary sanctuary; my church. And one of my dog's favorite parks when he was still able to see and walk about. Whenever I leave Florida, this place pulls at my heart to return before too long. I am ever so thankful to Gizella Kopsick for this gift to the people and precious little critters of magical St. Pete.

The Gulf Beaches Historical Museum in Pass-a-Grille houses exhibits on local history and features a gift shop. It is a family-friendly museum with nice beaches outside of the city.
I have been to the museum twice. It offers a great deal of historical information regarding coastal Pinellas County. From old documents to photographs to artifacts found on land and water. Seeing the old maps of Pinellas mangroves and orange groves to what it has now become is a bit sad. The WW2 room was my favorite. The museum can be done in 15 minutes for a quick walk through to it being a hours long excursion-it just depends on how much you want to delve into it. The volunteer docents are knowledgeable and are eager (sometimes too eager) to answer any questions. They also have free bags of goodies for children which was a nice touch.

Unfortunately i have to give a 1 star review. This used to be a fun challenging course. Now ith the new design poorly thought out. It has become quite bad. The changes made unfortunately are lazy and unispired. It seems as though the main designer has never played disc golf. Hole like 3 and 4 were fun and challenging. Hole 11 (formerly 10, in early 2000's) 14, and especially 15 were again just not very good ideas. This course was once great, the holes were all very pretty, forced you to consider each shot, and most of all fun. So long to what was a great course.

My "Go to" spot when I want to put kayak in the water either to fish or paddle (fishing sucks most of the time). It's easy to get in and out and there's an actual launch there so you can get away from careless boat drivers. There's even freshwater available to rinse kayak off, just bring your own hose.

Love this place. I could go here (almost do) every single day. It's a nice drive into the park, windy roads. First you will see a parking lot on the left where there is a memorial you can go look at. It has a giant sun dial! If you keep going you will see a place to launch kayaks where I do frequently. Clean bathrooms, enough space so you're not on top of everyone. Nice little beach you can go to also.

GREAT SPOT FOR PADDLE BOARDING AND KYAKING! There's a great little access at the very end of the park. It's a long drive, but its beautiful, so it goes by quick. There's a rack and fresh water hose to rinse your gear and allow it to dry while you load up the car. I feel like I'm sharing a secret that I should keep to myself, but that'd be selfish. This spot can't be beat for paddleboarding out to the islands, islands, and perfect for paddling with our dolphin friends.

The Fairgrounds museum in St. Petersburg, FL, is a modern art treasure trove that should not be missed. With pieces from artists like Mondrian and Calder, the museum screams of style and innovation. The grounds are also beautiful and make for a great place to wander.
This place was so unlike any other art exhibit I've ever been to. So many things are interactive and it feels like you could spend the whole day, but still not see all of the little details in everything. You HAVE to get the glasses, they really, really elevated the experience. I also really recommend the scavenger hunts, we did a three pack with the birds and it was so much fun, we were so excited every time we found another item. We live in another state, but we will definitely be back.

Just visited FloridaRama an interactive art experience in St. Pete. The coolest immersive art playground! It literally brought Florida culture to life with of the exhibits! Basically a colorful love letter to Florida! Every corner was its own little world of color, nostalgia, and creativity. So many fun photo ops and immersive exhibits to explore! It's definitely a must-see!

Such a cool experience! You HAVE to spend the extra $3 and get the glasses. It enhances the entire experience. The entire museum was so unique and the lights and all of the different rooms/exhibits were so fascinating.

Went to this place for my birthday since I figured, "why not? this place looks fun and i love that its interactive!" Since it was my bday, i got a fun little bday scavenger hunt along with the lucky duck hunt we signed up for. I think this place is totally worth the $35-$40ish per person thats with the scavenger hunt especially if you go with people who will also appreciate it!! I recommend this place to anyone who is willing to check it out and have a little fun for an hour and a half. The area this place is at too is a nice one to walk around/eat around!

I don't know if you've heard, but Andy Warhol and Carl Hiaasen had a baby together, and her name is FloridaRAMA. Our group got there only an hour before closing and we had a blast the entire time. The staff were wonderful and the exhibits are fascinating. I am looking forward to going back soon so we can try the games that you can add on to the experience. In December, the museum will be opening a new exhibit, and you can bet we will be there!

Honestly, this place looked cool from instagram where I saw it in an advertisement, but seeing it in person was even cooler than the ads! Such an immersive art experience that is SO unique and colorful and fun. It is extremely “South Florida” vibes and as a south Florida native, it was hilariously awesome! I would go back again and suggest going with a small group of friends to maximize the experience!

It's a nice museum not interactive like wonder works. It's actually smaller than expected you can actually see the whole thing in less than 30 minutes. The strawberry room didn't even smell like strawberry's. The spaceship just had a bunch of buttons and know that don't do much. They should've kept the mini golf. The giant space for the everglades is just stools with a giant screen on front,; no birds in the sky or animals in the water just the sky changing colors. At least The glasses made the lights look cooler. The blue water room with the pole lights was pointless and smelled like urine. It's not worth it for the price. I paid for the date night package, $74 with taxes and fees. For a box of chocolates 2 heart visual glasses and a scavenger hunt. The prize is 1 hurricane felix sticker. The depressed lifeless guy at the gift shop couldn't even give 2, or given the tiny stuffed alligator as a prize. This is definitely a tourist trap. My mom immediately wanted a refund. But i would pay $19 max for general admission.

Nestled at the southern end of St. Petersburg's vibrant downtown seafront, Albert Whitted Park is a delightful oasis that pays tribute to local aviation pioneer James Albert Whitted. This charming park features expansive grassy areas perfect for lounging, along with a modern children's playground designed with an airplane theme, making it an exciting spot for families. The park also offers covered picnic shelters and clean solar-powered restrooms, ensuring a comfortable visit.
Very beautiful and calming park. I highly recommend spending a couple hours here. The park is ultra clean and directly on the water. There’s an awesome yacht club to the left and an airport to the right. It doesn’t get much better than this. There’s plenty of parking, shade, bathrooms and tables to sit at as well as benches.

Beautiful park right on the waterfront. Came here for the annual Asian food festival and it was a blast.

Albert Whitted Park in St. Pete is a peaceful waterfront gem with amazing views of Tampa Bay and the small planes taking off from the nearby airport. It’s a great spot to unwind, take a stroll, or bring a picnic. The open green space is perfect for families, and there’s a fun playground area for kids to enjoy. You’ll often see people walking their dogs, jogging, or just soaking in the views of boats and planes. The location is ideal right near the Dali Museum and the St. Pete Pier. It’s clean, quiet, and feels like a little escape right in the middle of the city. A relaxing place to watch the world go by.

Great little park. Pros: -beautiful view of the bay: airplanes, sailboats, dolphins, pier, sunset -Nearby restroom Cons: -Limited free parking. There are maybe 4 free playground spots then you can parked in the metered spots in case those are full. -The city may block car entry to the street during event set up, and break down. There have been maybe two occasions where we could not park there and the next closest parking is pretty far. -Limited shade -Can get buggy -There can be some interesting characters camped out at nearby shelters but they do not bother the playground

Whether you want to watch sail boats, airplanes or take in a picnic or children's play time, you're arrived at the ideal place. Just relax and have fun as you let your senses take in what surrounds you. A wonderful spot for children and grown up children alike. The play area has beautiful equipment with an avionics theme and kids seem to enjoy their imaginary playtime. Be a kid for a day and you would be hooked to return.

We loved this playground! Fenced in with magnetic gate. Pay to park. Very clean and modern airport themed playground equipment. Less busy than the bigger pier playground nearby but still has plenty of space activities with spots of shade here and there. Just outside the playground area is patch of shady trees great for relaxing in a hammock if you have one. There is also a little area further down to fish from. Great spot to watch boats and planes coming and going in the sunset.

Nice area for a picnic, walk, and watch planes. There is a great playground for the kids that overlooks the water. If you like Yachts... you will enjoy the view.
Polly H — Google review
We were visiting from out of town. This was such a fun park! My 5 year old son loved it. Bring sunscreen and water. There is no shade and the slides did get pretty hot by 11 am. The park is at the end of a pier and is between a yacht club and an airport. My son loved to watch the student sailors learning how to sail in the bay as well as the small bi-planes as well as small private planes taking off and landing at various times. He had a blast climbing the "control tower" as well as flying the "medical plane" and the "jumbo jet". Lots of slides, ladders and steps to get the wiggles out. Also there a a public restroom near by. It's semi-clean and usable. There is a fence that goes around the whole park. It is not a well locked gate, just a typical u-shaped lock to easily lift and open. A very curious toddler could probably open it. This park kept my son occupied for about an hour and a half. So we'll worth it. The park is 5 min from John Hopkins All Children's and about 10 minutes from the Staybridge hotel downtown St. Petersburg. There is limited free parking right by the park and some metered parking closer to the bathroom.

The first time we came, we said we’d come back and let the kids play on the beach. The water is pretty shallow and protected from heavy waves. But today…it smells…like sulfur. The sand is very compacted, so a bit hard to dig into. Nonetheless, the splash pad next to the beach is a lot of fun. The playground is great (just slides and climbing structures). So, there are things to do, but the beach was a bit disappointing.

Little backstory.. I planned a vacation with mt kids for the week of the 4th purposefully to see fireworks on the bay. We are from Indiana and go to Florida every year for summer vacation but have never been on the 4th. So we spent the week in Springhill and did not realize that most all fireworks were planned for the weekend prior to the 4th so when time came to take them the only reasonable place I saw was the pier in St. Pete at spa beach. So we went... BEST DECISION EVER! There were tons of people but not too crowded, the pier had all kinds of activities near it for the kids including the beach which was shallow and warm. We got a spot right on the sand overlooking the water and they set off fireworks off the end of the pier. It was amazing. There was live music, prices were reasonable for drinks etc and the people were friendly. The atmosphere was exactly what I had hoped for and everything turned out perfect!

I love that we can go to downtown St Pete and go swimming and lay on the beach even though it's a man-made Beach it's a beautiful beach it's white sand and Blue water you can put jet skis in and everything you don't have to go anywhere now you don't have to go to other beaches you can go to downtown St Pete it's for like the families are down there and high rises or like local neighborhoods it's so cool

Ahhhh! Came here to see The Revivalists and it was just perfect! Weather was amazing and the sunset was beautiful. They did a great job setting up the stage and carving out an area for the show. VIP tickets are not necessary in my opinion. They set you up on the side and you don’t actually get a better view per se. I would see a show again here for sure. The pier area is epic and a must do if you are visiting St Pete

Just a little park that is associated with the Pier. You can relax on the small beach or in the grass area or along the rocks. The city also hosts events in the park as well. Photos I am posting are from the July 4th concert and fireworks hosted by the city.

Canoe & kayak tour agency
Get Up and Go Kayaking offers a popular kayaking experience to Shell Key Preserve in the St. Pete Beach area of Florida. The journey takes around 30 minutes to an hour, passing through mangroves and seagrass beds. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour with knowledgeable guides who provide insights into the local wildlife, including birds, dolphins, and various shell species found at the preserve.
I’ve been wanting to do kayaking out here for a while and we had an amazing time! We had a 10:30AM tour and the water was gorgeous. It was a little windy out so it made paddling to the key a bit of a challenge but it was well worth it to get to explore. Jenna was super knowledgeable about the area and wildlife, I definitely learned about more than a few things from her. Her pace was great and she was down to earth and friendly to chat with. Can’t wait for my next tour!

Jesse was awesome. He was super knowledgeable and kept a great pace. It was amazing to learn so much about the wild life and ecosystem. We got to see so many birds, fish, bring rays and even dolphins! Even without the wildlife i would go again to explore shell key island. Dipping in the water was so refreshing and a great way to end the tour

We did the 7:30 AM kayaking tour as part of our girls trip, and it was truly one of the highlights of our entire vacation! Chris was an amazing guide — so patient, kind, and full of knowledge. One of us got stuck at one point, and he immediately turned back, helped her out with so much patience, and made sure she felt safe and supported the entire time. He even captured some beautiful photos of us throughout the tour, which we’ll cherish forever! The weather was absolutely perfect and we were lucky enough to see dolphins, lots of fish, and a variety of birds up close. we even collected a few seashells and made a wish — it felt so peaceful and magical. Highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to do something unique, scenic, and relaxing. Thank you, Chris, for making our kayaking adventure unforgettable!

Our family had a fantastic time during our clear kayak excursion through Shell Key Preserve. Jenna was a great guide - engaging, informative, safety-focused yet laid back, allowing everyone to explore at their own pace! Great views all around and we got to see plenty of wildlife - several bird species and even some dolphin! Highly recommend!

Pleasant morning paddle. Arrival and check in were super easy. I booked this based on reviews and was not disappointed. Ben was a great guide and particularly familiar with bird species which was nice. We saw osprey, red heron, spoonbills, GBH, blue herons and a ton of gulls. I also think I saw a bald eagle at the beginning of the paddle but it moved north into the mangroves. The paddle began at the marina and was about 2M out to Shell Key Preserve. For those of you with balance issues or concerned about entry into the vessel, it’s easy. Be prepared for no shoes in the clear kayak. There was plenty of time for exploring on the beach. Which was full of shells and essentially empty of humans (always a bonus). I found a huge live horse conch on the bay side. There were a ton of live shells in the grass adjacent to where we pulled into shore. The tide was rapidly moving out on our return which was a slight challenge only because the vessels are a bit like paddling in a bathtub and you are already in the flats, so you do not have much water to work with. For folks used to their own narrow sit in kayaks be prepared for an awkward experience. As a solo paddler who is short has limited arm span, I spent most of my time trying to sit forward and upwards to paddle. It wasn’t a real problem but I felt like I was having to do a lot of work for a rec paddle. I would definitely look at this again if in the area or explore some of their other options. We had mostly locals on the paddle which was nice, most folks just wanted to explore areas they had not seen before. Definitely worth it for travelers or locals.

Our family of 3 (2 adults & 12 yo) took the clear kayak tour to shell key today with Ben as our guide. We had a great time on a hot florida day! Most of our tour group had never kayaked before but Ben gave easy to follow instructions and everyone did really well. He pointed out some different birds and dolphins and gave us some interesting facts to mull over. We got to stroll along shell key and look for treasures and made our way back. Thanks Ben!

My family of 4 went out with Jenna today. We had the best experience! She was so knowledgeable about the eco system and wildlife. We learned a lot, saw 2 manatees at the dock before we even got in the kayaks. Water was great, shell island was great. Will definitely do this again! Highly recommend! Thanks Jenna!

This is an absolutely amazing beach. The law enforcement has taken great care of the area to keep it clean and serviceable for families. They also have lots of little things to do around the area within walking distance including things to do music bars and then on Sundays there's also a drum circle on the beach for sunset. The crowd gets a little thick but it's a great atmosphere just be careful keep an eye on your kids and watch out because there is drinking and smoking and weed smoking going on.

This is a great beach! It's clean and I love the fact that a trash can is never too far away. The only downfall to this beach is it's such a long walk down to the water. But on the other hand, it's worth the walk because you may find a sand dollar or two while searching for seashells! Oh and the sunsets are amazing to watch from here as well.

I have been to beaches in many parts of the world, in my 70 years, and have to say Treasure island beach is one of my favorites. The beach is extremely wide, which means you don't have people close to you, playing ball, or loud music. The sand is white, and the water clear. On calm days you can walk on sandbars, having waves either side of you. You can walk from John's Pass down to Sunset Point.

Visitors can enjoy friendly competition with family while navigating the course's unique challenges, including a giant snake statue on display and a riotous Easter Island head.
Great taste of mini golf at it's simplest and a taste of old Florida. You cannot beat the price here. The staff was exceedingly friendly as well. No alligators no gimmicks, just fun mini golf for the whole family. This place gets a lot of undeserved negativity for not being flashy but improvements have been made since I was here last and it made for a relaxing quiet evening.

I'm definitely not the best place I have been to. Three of the holes are under construction. They need to spend a little TLC on the facility itself. However they have a nice ball selection and clubs. Your front desk lady was really friendly. My kid still had fun that's all that matters. I really hope that they spend a little more money on the up keep.

A family tradition. We always have a friendly competition during our vacation. Course is fun and a perfect challenge for all ages. Unfortunately, it seems like some disrespectful patrons left litter (bottles/cans). Place could benefit from a quick periodic walk through by management to help keep things tidy. Otherwise, a great place for some affordable family fun.

Fun little place at a great price for locals and tourists. Friendly staff and I love that it's literally been here FOREVER. They do need to fix up a lot of the displays. We have now completed all the rooms at the Punta Gorda location. Tonight we did "The Heist at the Grand Hotel". I believe this is my favorite room so far at this location. It was challenging, but not extremely difficult which gave us time to really enjoy the story behind the puzzle. The staff at Escape Room Unlocked, Punta Gorda, Florida are always excellent. The Game Masters are there if you need them, but not in your face. The rooms are always clean, well stocked with decor, and the decorations are excellent. These rooms are well thought out. A very clean and inviting park. I did not find a single piece of trash alongside the asphalted 2-mile loop trail. Most of the trail leads through a natural or informal park where you walk in the shade of native trees. Naturalists that are easily identified by the long tele lenses that they carry or by their habit of crouching over a plant with a magnifier, are wandering the dirt tracks away from the main trail, while kids enjoy rolling down a grassy hill. Serene, relaxed, full of native flora and fauna (the invasive plants are mostly kept in check). The few bicyclists that I encountered were polite and all dogs were on leashes and either friendly or well trained.

Best walking/running trail. Shaded for the summer time. I always do the 2 mile trail with my dog. She loves it. She took me to a lil path that led to the lake shown in the pics. Lots of restrooms. Looks like they did some pavement work too. This was my childhood park.

Grew up growing to this park. It’s a hidden gem in overcrowded Pinellas County. Beautiful wildlife. Don’t let your dogs near the water. Gators wait in the mud below the waters edge and have been known to snatch up anything with a pulse… Awesome place to connect to nature and ground your energy. Guaranteed to spot cool animals and foliage. Beautiful mini lakes and trails. I learned to drive in the parking lots here. Growing up in Seminole. There are boat ramps and gazebos… memories of metal playgrounds and swings that would arc so high the whole steel structure would shake…. I believe that stuff was removed years ago… but I can still recall the blood-like smell of iron, sweat, and dirt on my hands as a kid. Took these pics last time I visited and took my electric scooter around the trails.

As a DJ, one of my favorite things is finding gems of venues and places might not look twice at while driving past it on the street. From the outside it's unremarkable from any other building on the street, but the moment you open the gate you are transported into a destination resort. They have CLEARLY put a lot of thought into the intentional design of the customer experience. The garden, the grand staircase, the balcony with the elevator... this is definitely going to be on my preferred venue list not just for St. Pete but between the two states I've performed DJ services in. No idea what they charge but they absolutely make it worth every penny.

Great Venue with a Cool Vibe NOVA 535 is a fantastic spot for an event. The space has a unique, modern-industrial feel with exposed brick and a beautiful outdoor courtyard. The staff was professional and easy to work with, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. It’s clear they know how to host a great event. Highly recommend if you're looking for something stylish and stress-free.

Charming and beautifully maintained venue — perfect for weddings and all types of events. I’ve delivered flowers for several weddings here, and every experience has been wonderful. The staff team is professional, friendly, and truly goes above and beyond. They also host fantastic entrepreneur networking events that bring people together and contribute so positively to the community. Highly recommend!

This is the best spot in town! We actually got married here just under 2 years ago - and it was incredible - the staff, the location, the atmosphere, the attention to detail; all of it. Now, I have come for numerous reasons, from banquet events to networking and social events. They do not disappoint - the staff is always attentive and the location is always clean and inviting. Whether you’re looking for your next banquet or social event, or to have the wedding of your dreams, NOVA 535 is where you want to be. Thank you Nova!

Nova 535 is an amazing event space we have our networking group there each Wednesday from 7 to 9 AM. Chris couldn’t be more hospitable, beautiful venue for weddings get-togethers, and any other magical occasions I highly recommend nova 535 to anyone looking for a great event in the future!
Mike W — Google review
We got married at Nova 535 and it was absolutely perfect. We were able to have our ceremony and reception all in one location and use the food trucks and other vendors we wanted. The staff was so friendly and helpful every step along the way. Last but certainly not least their recommended DJ Jaey was beyond fantastic! We wish we could give more than 5 stars and highly recommend!

Movie theater
Regal Town Center in Port Charlotte is a fantastic destination for movie lovers, featuring a theater complex equipped with multiple screens that showcase the latest films. With plush seating and a convenient concession stand, it offers an enjoyable viewing experience. For those interested in local culture, nearby Punta Gorda's Visual Arts Center presents rotating exhibits from talented artists and hosts creative workshops. Additionally, the Charlotte Players Theater provides live performances throughout the year, adding to the vibrant arts scene.
Theatre is good overall! I do wish the combos at the concessions were more clear. I just wanted a large popcorn and drink but seemed to be forced to get a $6 candy as well. I realized later that I was given a $0.50 off for getting a “combo” so it would’ve been much cheaper to just get a large popcorn and large drink separately, not asking for a combo. Would also be nice if the theatre was updated a bit with lounging chairs and larger screens!
Tim S — Google review
Sadly very common for a number of malls I have visited in recent months with probably 25 to 30% of the shops closed and little traffic the day I was there. The theatre there was fine once inside but the entry way and signage were in need of attention.
Cheryl G — Google review
All the staff are really nice the theaters are always clean, and Ive been coming to this theater since my teens and this is a first, There were rats running around the emergency exit before the movie started, we just ignored them until after the movie to say something. In the lobby I talked to who I presumed the manager was and informed him of this problem, the guy kind of non chalantly with no urgency told me that they didn't know and they were going to report it to some kind of pest control. I really love this place and would like to continue going to this theater, but rats are really a no go, and this probably goes for alot of other people too.
Pike P — Google review
The bathrooms are clean compared to other theatres. Theatre is kind of dirty, but it's the average movie theatre dirty. Seats are cloth and do not stay down if you are not sitting in them, so you are forced to put food and bags on the floor. Definitely strip and shower as soon as you get home. But the pros are that the movies look and sound great, and there's usually not a lot of people in the theatre or long waits in line for tickets or for concessions.
Briana D — Google review
The staff is nice and I don’t blame them for any of the following complaints. These theaters are hot, muggy, and vaguely smell like dirty ash trays. Everything is grubby and the building is disheveled, I feel gross sitting in the chairs. The mall is failing of course but it’s really obvious in the theater area and it needs a renovation before I go back, but as is I would not return even if it was free.
Cassy A — Google review
Good theater, but "rushes" we're extremely LOUD !! Sound level for the movie was much better. Seats in theater were very comfortable. Prices are what you'd expect today...high.
Carl W — Google review
I been to this mall for over 20 years I enjoyed for the most part but now and days this mall is dying many stores are closing down especially during the pandemic. But the most annoying thing about the mall is the teenagers I never seen a annoying group of teenagers in my life. I understand that kids need a place to hangout and all but these teenagers will annoy and bother you and asked you for money especially in Fridays so if there is one day to avoid going to the mall don't go on Fridays I felt bad for the security guards to put up with these annoying kids. Something has to be done about this.
Kristian E — Google review
Theater 10 was disgusting! Smelled like urine. We went this past weekend to see mission impossible final reckoning. Movie was good. But Theater made it a less than great experience. Movie was a 12:10 showing time, over 40 minutes of previews! Ridiculous! Had we known,we would have arrived at 12:45 and still not have missed the first scene of the featured film. We will wait for movies to come to streaming services in the future.

I recently attended a unique pottery class at Charlie Parker Pottery, which provided the perfect alternative to the traditional dinner and drinks date night. The instructor, Bella, not only demonstrated extensive knowledge but also displayed remarkable patience throughout the session. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it ideal for beginners like myself. I highly recommend this fun and different experience to others. Additionally, Charlie Parker Pottery offers affordable pricing and excellent value for money.
Amazing date night experience!! Had so much fun and the instructors were so kind and thorough in explaining everything!! Great place for newbies… I never dealt with clay before and had a great time learning the process of making a bowl and cup!! Will definitely come back again!!
Bre — Google review
We went here for date night and it was a blast. No experience necessary, the instructor is skilled, patient, and helpful. When we went, there was a small group of 4 other couples. We experienced "throwing"clay, and creating 2 small pieces (bowl, cup, or plate) from a lump of clay. You are able to bring your own wine/beverages to drink, but there was little time to drink, as we spent most of the time behind the wheel working on our masterpieces. I highly recommend this for a date night, or for any night, as something fun and unique to do. Dress casually and in something you are OK with getting splattered with clay. The cost was reasonable, and it was a fun and well organized experience. Our instructor was Kim, and she was fabulous. The classes are only on certain days so check the website, and you must reserve in advance. Easy 5 stars!
Paul P — Google review
My boyfriend brought me here as a surprise for my birthday and I couldn’t have received a better gift! He booked the 2 hour intro class with Emily and we both made 2 pieces in the time frame. Emily was so patient, knowledgeable and fun. I’ve worked with clay before but had always been nervous about the wheel and now I can’t wait to do it again! Thank you Emily and Clay Co-Op for the wonderful class. Also, if you do this for a date night get the ‘Ghost’ pic!!

Loved my visit for some Raku firing! I drove up from Sarasota and it was worth it. The instructor was knowledgeable and kind. I’ll definitely go back!

Absolutely love the Clay Co-op in St. Pete! The vibe is creative and welcoming, and Kim is an incredible instructor super knowledgeable, patient, and inspiring. Every class feels fun and energizing. Highly recommend!
Luke V — Google review
I just took the parent/kid clay class with my friends and it was the BEST!!! It literally felt like a mom’s night out even though our kids were simultaneously taking a class right next to us! The kiddos made snail pots (SO CUTE) and the moms did make your own charcuterie plates (looooved it and cannot wait to use it) Bec did an AMAZING job teaching all 5 children (ages 2.5-6) at once with no parental help needed. The mom all got to relax, chat, and create our own charcuterie boards. Liv was such a sweet instructor as well. It really was so much fun and such relaxing way together with my girl friends and all of our kids with very low stress. I absolutely will do this class again! The kids had a blast and so did we, thank you Bec and Liv!!

We took a pottery wheel class with Emily as our teacher she was great! Had never used a wheel before she was very informative and patient and helped us make the best pieces. Very affordable and got to make two different pieces. Would definitely recommend!

Dell Holmes Park, located along the serene Lake Maggiore in St. Petersburg, is a well-maintained recreational site suitable for visitors of all ages. The park offers various amenities such as a driving range, boating and fishing opportunities on the lake, and play areas for children. With its picturesque trails, picnic shelters with grills, kayak and canoe launch, and a lighted fitness trail, the park provides ample space for relaxation and outdoor activities.
A scenic spot next to the lake to walk and the playground was great for all ages.
Cory C — Google review
Great access, large play area. But the equipment is old, and there's lots of scattered trash most days due to the local wildlife scavenging from the trash bins. There are some gators, small ones near the pier, so chances are you'll get to see one (or more)
Dave M — Google review
Splash pad and playground were very clean and safe. Kids played for hours! Good shade on benches for parents!
Shannon W — Google review
Very large park for the whole family. Amazing, closed in playground for children of all abilities and ages. There is a very clean and modern splash pad too. They are renovating the dock by the lake but the view is still nice. Lots of trees and picnic spots. Walking trails is smooth and perfect for a stroller walk.
Charleen M — Google review
Im glad they put the hours of the splash pad so there’s no confusion. Not bad of a park. Playground area was nice and clean, very spacious. The splash pad was a nice summer touch. Although most of the sprinklers were clogged there was enough water to go around.
Lan L — Google review
This park has the biggest playground I've EVER seen. It's got a water park too?! I stopped to try the fishing but it was terrible. Nice bike/walking trail. It's got a couple restroom locations in the park.
Jacob V — Google review
Very nice clean park. Very well maintained grounds and clean restrooms aside the playground area. Tons for the kiddos to do. Plenty of shade throughout the park. Fake grass made for a nice ground and it is fully fenced in for childrens safety. Splash pad aside the playground perfect for a hot day to cool the kids off! I'd recommend checking this park out if in the area!
Cheryl P — Google review
What a super fun park for kids to play. The splash pad was a very cool design with plenty of water pressure. There's a massive playground with activities for kids off all sizes. I would definitely check this place out while on vacation for a free play place for kids

Bay Vista Park is a small but beautiful park with views of the Bay. It has free parking and bathrooms, as well as several pavilions if you would like to sit and watch the ocean. It is clean and tidy, and also has a playground for the kids. The view is amazing, something for everyone to enjoy.
Always a great spot to sit and enjoy some peace. Small park is great for fishing, picnics, walking, or getting some sun. Photograph opportunities include wading birds, seabirds, tidal offerings, and the Skyway Bridge. If you arrive early enough, you can also enjoy and photograph beautiful sunrise scenes over the Bay.
Elizabeth G — Google review
Nice little park, you can view both the sunrise and sunset here. It seems great for fishing and is fairly active, especially near the boat dock. Also a great view of the sunshine skyway bridge! I think they have the bathrooms currently under construction and it looks like they intend to do hurricane cleanup work on the shoreline.
Sami — Google review
Not a lot of parking. But there is a playground. 2 covered picnic tables and a boat ramp . Some fish here too
Life M — Google review
Small park with nice clean restrooms, boat launch, pavilions water fountain, BBQ grills , play ground, pier, water access with small beach area and calm water, fishing lots of shade trees. Great for a picnic
