Local street food and traditional Mughlai-inspired cuisine add another draw for visitors.
With favorites like DB City Mall, Hakeem's Restaurant, and Birla Mandir, we’ll make sure you don’t miss out on all the must sees. One of the Best Malls in Bhopal – Great Experience for Families! I recently visited DB City Mall in Bhopal, and I must say, it truly lives up to its reputation as the city’s most vibrant and well-managed shopping destination. What stood out the most during my visit was the excellent kids' play area and the overall family-friendly atmosphere. 🎠 Kids Play Area – A Major Plus! The mall has a well-designed and safe kids' play zone that's perfect for children to enjoy while parents shop or relax. It's clean, well-supervised, and offers a variety of fun activities that kept my child entertained for a long time. It’s definitely one of the better play areas I’ve seen in a mall – colorful, secure, and thoughtfully planned. 🛍️ Shopping & Brands: DB City Mall has a wide range of stores – from popular national and international fashion brands to electronics, accessories, and more. The layout is spacious and easy to navigate. You can spend hours exploring without feeling cramped. 🍽️ Food Court & Dining: The food court is impressive, offering everything from fast food to full-course meals. It has seating for large groups, and the variety is great – Indian, Chinese, continental, desserts, and even street-style food options. We had a lovely meal, and the service at the restaurants was efficient and courteous. 🎬 Entertainment: There’s also a well-maintained multiplex (INOX), perfect for catching the latest movies. The ticketing and seating experience was smooth, and sound quality in the halls is top-notch. 🚗 Parking & Accessibility: Plenty of parking space and good crowd management. The entire mall is wheelchair- and stroller-friendly, with elevators and wide corridors for easy movement. 🧼 Cleanliness & Ambience: One of the cleanest malls I’ve visited. Restrooms were hygienic, and the entire mall was well-maintained. The interiors and decor are stylish, making it a comfortable and visually appealing place to spend time. --- ✅ Overall Verdict: DB City Mall is perfect for family outings, shopping, dining, and entertainment all under one roof. The kids’ play area was a highlight for me as a parent, and the overall experience was truly enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting or living in Bhopal.

I think this is the best shopping mall in Bhopal. The modern building is clean and lined with shops. The restaurants vary in quality, but are generally decent, and the prices are a bit higher than other restaurants. For a foreigner like me with nowhere else to go, it's a paradise.

War museum
Memorial
Museum
Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal is a war memorial and museum inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, in 2016. Situated on a sprawling 12-acre park in the heart of Arera Hills near M.P. Nagar and Secretariat, it pays tribute to the nation's war heroes from the Army, Air Force, and Navy. The main attraction is an underground gallery that allows visitors to experience the harsh conditions of Siachen Glacier.
Shaurya Smarak is a must-visit destination in Bhopal that beautifully honors the heroes of our nation. The authorities have done a commendable job in creating this memorial, blending patriotism with thoughtful design. The site offers ample parking and is very reasonably priced, with entry tickets at just ₹20. Photography and videography are allowed for a minimal contribution of ₹50, making it accessible for everyone to capture memories. This memorial is not just a place to visit but an experience that inspires pride and gratitude for the sacrifices of our brave soldiers. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Bhopal!
BHUWAN T — Google review
Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal is a beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by lush greenery and very well maintained. The memorial fills you with pride as it showcases the bravery and sacrifices of our soldiers, reminding every Indian of their courage and dedication. It’s a perfect blend of nature and history, where you can spend quality time with family and also feel a deep sense of patriotism. There’s a cafe inside to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The best part is the entry ticket is just ₹20, and parking is absolutely free. A must-visit place in Bhopal for everyone! 🇮🇳
Tamanna P — Google review
Shaurya Park is a very good place. This place is very famous. If you come to Bhopal, you will definitely feel very good if you sit in the garden here. The entry fee here is only ₹20. For a single person, but if you want to take a phone or a camera or if you want to do photography inside, you will have to pay ₹50 extra. But you will enjoy a lot by going here. By going here with your family and friends, you will get a lot of knowledge about soldier. Even better thing is that when you go here you will find different things. You will get different information. You will get all the information about whatever Indian military has done till now after independence and before independence! When we went there the weather was very good at that time so we enjoyed a lot.
Lakshmi R — Google review
Shaurya Smarak in Bhopal is a unique and beautifully designed war memorial that pays tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers. Unlike traditional memorials, this place combines art, architecture, and nature to create a peaceful yet thought-provoking atmosphere. The open-air design with landscaped gardens, water bodies, and symbolic structures truly sets it apart. What I loved the most was how every element here has a deeper meaning – the sculptures, murals, and installations narrate stories of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism. The flame and tall structures stand as a symbol of eternal honor for the martyrs. It is not only a place to pay homage but also to reflect on the values of dedication and service to the nation. The ambience is calm and serene, making it a great spot for both families and students to learn about history and valor. It is also well-maintained and has clear information boards to explain the significance of different sections. Evening lighting adds to the beauty and makes the experience even more memorable. Overall, Shaurya Smarak is a must-visit in Bhopal – not just for its architectural beauty, but for the emotions and respect it evokes for our heroes. Truly inspiring!!!

It has a beautiful and peaceful ambience and very hospitable service. I went with my friend who had been there before once and she ordered my food. The manchurian there has been the best I've ever had, very much comparable with say, Mainland China or Yo China chains, with much reasonable pricing. I'll be going again very soon. Loved it!!!

Nice small joint for south east Asian cuisine esp Chinese. Decor is lovely and not too garish. Seating arrangement is cozy and nice. Chinese spread is not too wide but preparation is decent. Not in same league as mainland China, mind you. Service is good and unobtrusive. Nice place to go with family for a Chinese dinner.

10 Downing Street is a versatile establishment that transforms from a restaurant serving Power Lunch during the day to a lively pub with themed parties in the evening. It's known for its wide range of cocktails and mocktails, making it a great spot for liquor enthusiasts. The venue boasts an English pub ambiance with nice interiors and lighting, offering a menu featuring dishes like Peri Peri Chicken, Garlic Chicken Crispy, and Chicken Nachos.
It is one of the best place to have lunch with your friends and family. The food is very tasty. I tried mixed fried rice, garlic prawn, mutton biryani all were really delicious and well cooked. The biryani was bit spicy but tasty was too good. The ambience is good with warm lighting where you get good photographs. The place has large enough space to cater more people at peak hours. There is power lunch where the prices are average and one can order meal with snacks and dessert. There is separate smoking area. The place is designed as a barrier free access point.

Went here recently and honestly, it was a letdown. The club was just okay in terms of setup, but the vibe was totally off. The crowd wasn’t great, which really affected the overall experience. Drinks weren’t up to the mark either – definitely not worth the price. Also, the DJ wasn’t the one that was advertised, and the music didn’t hit the right notes. Overall, wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a good night out in Bhopal.

Lost its charm after the renovation. Before the renovated new interior, it 100% gave you the feel of an English Pub, be it the interiors, the wall decors, the bar or the seating but currently that old vibe is missing. Although, the food taste and service remains the same . Good food, good service, charges have increased a lot which is obvious because of the new renovation cost and rent. We were very regular at this place but it will be Occasional now, mostly because the Vibe is gone.

Indian restaurant
This North Indian restaurant is a must-go for anyone looking for some great tasting food. The manager, Mr Satish Pawar, is very friendly and always willing to help his customers. The owner, Mr Ajit Chandai, is also a very nice man who takes care of everything at the restaurant. Their food is absolutely amazing and their thalis are particularly popular.
Best taste in food , fast and good service and location and atmosphere is also good

This place recently underwent some major changes and the new Moti Mahal is changed completely! Loved the Dal Makhani and Paneer here! Service is also pretty awesome! I even tried fresh lime soda and its one of the best I had till date! Plus they have now extended the bar area and the newly built area has an awesome ambiance and atmosphere!

The Draught beer is not Draught beer. Its hunter beer served from a keg. The keg is filled by the employees by hunter beer bottles, and to create a pressure they are using a gas cylinder. Its fake Draught beer, and they are fooling people. Food is worst.

Mr. Satish pawar, manager of the bar is very charming person. He treats his customer very well. Mr. Ajit chandai, owner of the bar moti mahal. He is also very nice gentel man. The food is amazing. Thali ghar jaise..... Mind blowing. Lachha paratha, garlic nan, very very tasty

Never delivers the right order. They make sure to give non-veg to vegetarians and vice versa. The service is even worse. The food item given is never correct or in the right proportion it should be. If u are thinking to eat here do it on your own risk and eat only when u wish to have poor service.

Mughlai restaurant
If you find yourself wandering the vibrant streets of Bhopal, make sure to stop by Jameel Hotel in Ibrahimpura. This bustling eatery is nestled in a lively market area filled with bakeries and offers an array of mouth-watering dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings after a day of exploring.
They provide excellent food at an affordable price. You can get many kind of mon veg items here like chicken items like chicken tikka, chicken lollipop etc., mutton or fish items etc. The food tastes too good. Based on taste of food I'll give it 10 out of 10. But since it gets too much customers compared to its size, so it gets sometimes too crowded then they make you sit with strangers. So based on that I'll rate it 4 out of 10. But overall the restaurant is very good. 8 out of 10.
Krishna S — Google review
The taste of the their food is deteriorated over the period of time as it's not the same Jameel which used to be back in 2010s as the quality of the food served is not good the other day I had ordered for a sheermal and I was given a bread it was a disappointment for me as the person thought I don't know what is a sheermal just because I was an outsider trust me there are better eateries than this go over there not here.
Tausif R — Google review
"I ordered egg biryani because I am an eggetarian, not a non-vegetarian. However, I found many small pieces of chicken mixed with the rice, which was very disappointing. This shows a lack of proper food handling and care. Moreover, basic essentials like tissues were also not provided. Very bad experience!"

Worst food. I don’t even know why were they even famous back in old days. They are pure garbage

My dining experience at Jameela Hotel in Bhopal was a culinary delight. The food was exceptional, offering a burst of flavors that surpassed expectations. However, the congested area surrounding the hotel might be a drawback for some. If you're willing to overlook the crowded surroundings, Jameela Hotel is a go-to spot for those seeking delicious cuisine in Bhopal.
Umar K — Google review
Disappointed! They will make every gravy in karahi style. We ordered chicken Tikka curry and mutton korma both were made instantly and not upto the mark at all. No options on roti as well, only tandoori was available. Service was ok though. If you are looking for authentic bhopali korma do not prefer this.

Shopping mall
Ashima Anupama Mall is a well-planned, sizable and multilevel shopping mall in the city of Bhopal. The mall has a wide variety of stores, including brand-name retailers such as Nike, Adidas and others. There is also a food court on site with various restaurants. A multiplex cinema is also present on site for movie buffs.
Aashima mall is wonderful 👍😊😊 Very peaceful and happy environment 😊

Not much to do here now. The mall is not maintained well. Most of the shops have closed down. The food court is average. The walkways stink. Cinepolis is the only good thing about the mall.

✅Cinepolis Is only Best Thing In Ashima Mall 🟥 Mall has No Maintanence and smelly. Food Court Is Small But but price are Very Affordable, taste is Good Sweeping Staff Is Lazy

I really liked the food court of this mall. You will get plenty of options here. You can sit comfortably here and eat food of any brand and I also liked the cleanliness here. I basically did not go here for shopping. I went to the food court here to eat something. I found many options available in the food court. Go there and eat food.
Lakshmi R — Google review
I am a regular visitor to your mall and have always appreciated the wide range of shops and amenities. However, I’ve notice couple of days a recurring and unpleasant garbage smell in the lift , near the food court, parking area, or basement level]. The odor has become difficult to ignore and negatively affects the overall atmosphere. It not only detracts from the shopping and dining experience, but it also raises concerns regarding hygiene and cleanliness for patrons and staff alike.
Medkapil I — Google review
Aashima Mall is a one-stop destination for fashion, food, and fun. Located in the wonderful city of Bhopal, it offers hyper stores, dining, and entertainment. The hyper-store consists of men's fashion, women's fashion, kids’ fashion, accessories, body care, gift & stationery, jewelry, home decoration, automobiles, and electronics. Be it casual clothes or Indian wears or International wears, this place caters to all your needs. There are a variety of dining choices that include a cafe, restaurant & bar, kitchen counters, and kiosk. If you want some entertainment, then check out the Kids Toy Car, Kids Train, Cinepolis (probably best multiplex in Bhopal) and Play On options at this Mall. The mall is unique in its own way and is being built to give maximum visibility to each store. Well-planned stores and scientific layout with a massive atrium allow appropriate distribution of space for different sections.
Sumit K — Google review
I have visited Ashima Mall in Bhopal and it is a fantastic place to spend time with family and friends. The mall has a great selection of stores with both national and international brands, making it easy to find what you're looking for. The food court offers a variety of cuisines and the multiplex cinema is a great place to catch the latest movies. The mall is well-maintained and clean, which adds to the overall experience. The staff is friendly and helpful, making it a pleasant shopping experience. I highly recommend visiting Ashima Mall if you're in Bhopal.

When in Bhopal, a visit to the Indian Coffee House is a must. This popular spot is beloved by locals and visitors alike for its delicious coffee and crispy Dosas. Situated in MP Nagar, it's not just a place for great food but also serves as a hub for business and government meetings. The ambiance and professional service make it an ideal setting for various gatherings.
Tasty and clean food at affordable especially coffee and South Indian
Praveen S — Google review
Quite place, ordered coffee and paneer pakoda, that was without salt, No idea about the taste of other food, like dosa, chole bhature etc
Rohit B — Google review
Indian Coffee House is not just a café—it’s a slice of history and nostalgia that continues to charm generations of people. With its unique old-world charm, affordable menu, and simple yet heartwarming hospitality, it stands apart from the modern café culture dominated by flashy interiors and overpriced items. The first thing you notice when you enter an Indian Coffee House is its vintage setting. The interiors are usually modest, with wooden furniture, simple tablecloths, and waiters dressed in their iconic white uniforms with turbans. The atmosphere transports you back in time, reminding you of an era when cafés were not just about coffee but about conversations, debates, and togetherness. Many branches of ICH still carry this aura of intellectual gatherings, where students, writers, professors, and office-goers have spent countless hours over a cup of filter coffee. Speaking of coffee, the classic South Indian filter coffee is the star of the menu—strong, aromatic, and always consistent. It’s not fancy like cappuccinos or lattes, but it has an authenticity and richness that keeps you coming back. Along with coffee, the food menu is surprisingly wide and very budget-friendly. From masala dosas, cutlets, and omelettes to the ever-popular mutton dosa and fried rice, the taste is homely and comforting. Unlike commercial fast-food joints, the food here feels like something prepared with care rather than just churned out quickly. One of the highlights of Indian Coffee House is its affordability. You can enjoy a hearty meal or spend hours sipping coffee without worrying about burning a hole in your pocket. This is one reason why it is such a favorite among students and middle-class families. The service, though not always the fastest, has a charm of its own. The waiters are polite and respectful, and their traditional attire adds to the timeless feel of the place. The slightly slow pace also encourages you to relax and spend time instead of rushing out, which is rare in today’s fast-moving café culture. Overall, Indian Coffee House is more than just a restaurant—it is an institution. It carries cultural and emotional value for many Indians who grew up visiting it with friends and family. Whether you go there for its iconic filter coffee, its delicious dosas and cutlets, or simply to experience its heritage, you will always leave with a sense of warmth and nostalgia. If you are looking for luxury or modern café vibes, this might not be your place. But if you want authenticity, tradition, and a soulful cup of coffee, Indian Coffee House will never disappoint. ⭐ Rating: 4.5/5 ✔ Great taste, affordable prices, nostalgic charm ✘ Sometimes service can be a bit slow, interiors are very basic
Asif K — Google review

Kanha Fun City is a vibrant aquatic theme park located in Bhopal, renowned for its thrilling water slides and pools that promise endless fun. This amusement haven features classic rides like bumper cars, making it an ideal destination for families and thrill-seekers alike. Opened in 2000, the park has become a popular spot for various events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and school picnics.
We visited for the Holi celebration, and it was an amazing experience! The arrangements were great, with delicious food, a fantastic DJ, and two dance zones—one for rain dance and the other in a covered lawn area. The water park and amusement park were both incredible. The security was also top-notch. It’s definitely a must-visit with family on any day, not just for special events!

It is very good option for the family visit during summer. Maintain very cleanly. Gives importance to hygiene and safety of the visitors. A lot of fun is there inside fun city. Basically there are two zone. One is water park which has entrance fees of Rs.300/_ per person. Full fare will be charged from 3 feet height of the children. Fun city closes at 06.00pm. Second one is Amusement park has entrance fees Rs.300/_ per person with the same above conditions. Combined ticket is Rs.600/_. Children can enjoy a lot in both the places. Number of rides are available.

Good ambition and water rides are awesome. Request to management as like earlier start the water park ticket separately (i.e 350 per person) currently they have added with AMUSEMENT park.

Chandra N — Google review
Water park is good , compared to crescent they have little short slides so is easy for childrens. Charges are also little high. Earlier they used to give 500 ruppe ticket(water park+ amusement) Now it is 600 for water park and 300 for amusement park. They asked us to take 600 ticket complementary with amusement park(none were active though). New charge criteria is not sensible despite just charges are becoming high and degraded with facilities. Why to go - fun area , good food area, amusement park is also good. Why not to visit or choose crescent over - rate high, no clean pool ( today we saw many little 🐞🪲🐞🐜 grasshopper 🦗 and something not friendly at all leeches . The majority of the staff were helpful, but I had a negative experience with the locker room staff at the water park. Initially, they requested us to purchase a lock for 300 rupees, but we declined as we managed our expenses separately. When we returned, they had locked our locker and demanded payment. This situation was disappointing, especially since only 1-2 lockers were involved and the amount requested (over 600 rupees) seemed excessive and inappropriate. May be they will work on all this may not be if you all are ready to face all these glitches move ahead otherwise my suggestion is for crescent more upon this (water park). Thank you.

Nestled in the heart of Bhopal, Hakeem's Restaurant has been a beloved destination for Mughlai cuisine since its establishment in 1971. This charming eatery boasts an inviting dining room adorned in warm white and red hues, creating a cozy yet regal atmosphere perfect for family gatherings. Known for its timeless Indian dishes like biryani and keema, Hakeem's offers an authentic culinary experience that beautifully marries tradition with flavor.
Mutton keema is my all time favorite. Whenever our family visits the city, one family dinner has to be at this place.

I was on official trip to bhopal and one of my friend suggested me to go there. It was about 13 kilometers from where I was staying, but I decided to go anyway and ordered the mutton Rogan Josh. However, from the very first bite, I regretted it. For the price I paid, I’ve had far better Mutton Rogan Josh at many other restaurants.

One of the best biryani experience u can have in bhopal. We tried three two different biryani one paneer and roomali roti. All were delicious, but Biryani was mouthwatering. It's usually very busy on weekends. So do come one weekdays.

I mostly get food packed from here but even when you're eating here, service is great. Staff is courteous and taste is nice. Expect the food to be very oily, though - I don't know why there has to be so much oil in the serving bowl. But apart from that, everything is nice.

Lazeez Hakeem, a well-established dining room since 1971, is renowned for its traditional Indian cuisine. Situated in the City of Lakes, it has gained popularity for its impeccable service and engaging weekly offers. The restaurant prides itself on offering authentic dishes with aromatic spices and tempting fragrances at reasonable prices. It also provides special discounts during Happy Hours for students.
Their mutton dum biriyan was one of the best dum biriyani I have had. The rice was mouth-melting and full of mutton aroma. And the mutton was quite juicy with ghee’s aromatic taste. We wondered if they own their own husbandry to foster and find such a choicest meat! But prawn 65 was disappointing though. Instead making it dry they made it overtly saucy and spicy as someone would have it with rice or chapati. As someone who have tasted real South Indian 65 would not go with it.

We had ordered Hara bhara kabab and paneer chilly was good... ordered regular size of veg biryani... I doubt the quantity Very less as.. also taste was okay , they said masala is tikha but it was not even spicy...

Pros - Decent atmosphere, taste is good , location is also good . Cons - Food is tasty but i think they should have to increase there quantity, i ordeed roomali roti and khamiri roti , so roomali roti is too thin & small and it costs me 22rs 😑 Khamiri roti taste like bread (double roti with butter) * FOR SINGLE PERSON I THINK ITS TOO COSTLY , IT COSTS ME 500rs with water bottle .

Being a Hyderabadi, my standards are high when it comes to biryani. So my rating is for the food I ate but not the restaurant. I had Mutton Biryani at Lazeez. The rice was dry. The pieces of Mutton didn’t taste well—they appeared dark in color & I’m sure it’s not fresh. I wanted to finish early & leave ASAP. Apart from my food, I liked the deco and ambience of the restaurant. Give them a try.

I visited Lazeez Hakeem, M.P. Nagar, Bhopal, on 02.10.2025 with my cousin’s family and father. We were a group of 10, including 6 children. We were directed to the third floor, where the ambience and furnishing initially created an impression of a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, what followed was deeply disappointing and left us all shocked and unhappy. Since we were confused about what to order, we relied on the staff’s suggestions. We were assured that Chicken Fried Rice and Chicken Lollipop for the children and Chicken Biryani for the adults would be sufficient. Trusting their recommendation, we placed the order and were promised it would be enough for everyone. However, the experience turned out to be the exact opposite. Firstly, we were made to wait for long for the food, despite the restaurant being nearly empty. When the food finally arrived, the Chicken Lollipop was dry, chewy, and unappetizing—a shocking contrast to what we had enjoyed during our previous visit at the restaurant downstairs, where it was far juicier and flavorful. The fried rice portion was so minimal that each child barely got two spoons, which was extremely disappointing. Next came the so-called “Chicken Biryani” which carried such an overpowering smoky flavour that none of us could relish it. To add to the anguish, we were promised 8 pieces of chicken in the dish, but only 6 pieces were served, leaving us short. By then, everyone was upset and refused to order more, and we ended up leaving the restaurant hungry and disheartened. The ordeal did not end there. I had received a message about a 15% discount, valid for 2 more days, yet the staff initially denied it, claiming the offer had expired. Only when I insisted at the billing counter was the discount given, with the excuse that my mobile number had been entered incorrectly (which was repeated by me three times when the order was being taken). This not only embarrassed me in front of my family, but also left a bitter impression, especially since I had persuaded everyone to dine there. Overall, the entire experience was one of anguish, shock, and sheer disappointment. I am not sure if I can suggest improvement but I felt that while the ambience is good and the restaurant has often satisfied us, a few improvements can make the dining experience much better as per my past experience - Staff training to provide more accurate and practical suggestions for group orders. Consistency in taste and preparation, so customers can rely on the same quality each time. Adequate portion sizes, especially when specific quantities are promised. Prompt and transparent handling of offers and discounts to build customer trust. I am sharing this feedback with the hope that it will help in improving service quality. Hope to have a better experience next time as usually.

Also known as Minto Hall... visited their restaurant and had a very pleasant experience. It's a historic building which they have restored and converted into a restaurant. Very nice view of the city and lake. Food was good and service excellent. They have both outdoor and indoor sitting with full fledged bar. Other side of the terrace they have photo gallery too.

Visited Minto Hall recently and it was an unforgettable experience! 🌧️✨ The view was absolutely epic, especially with the light shimmering rain adding magic to the evening. The outdoor seating was perfect – peaceful, scenic, and ideal for relaxing with great food. We started with hot Manchow soup – just what you need on a rainy day. It was flavorful, warming, and hit the spot instantly. The crispy corn was crunchy and addictive, and the spring rolls were fresh, perfectly fried, and absolutely top-notch. Every bite felt like a treat. Highly recommended if you're looking for a great ambiance, lovely weather, and delicious food. Minto Hall never disappoints! 🌿🍲🌧️

The rooftop ambience is fantastic. Lower lake view and twinkling city lights are just perfect for a pleasant night out. Food is average. Nothing special about it. Service is friendly and premises are neat with historical pictures of pre and post independence era. Once is enough actually.

Visited on 23-24 April 2024. In Bhopal, the capital city of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, there is a building known as Minto Hall that has been renamed as Kushabhau Thakre "Minto Hall" in his honor. Minto Hall is a historic building that has been renovated and restored for public use, hosting events, conferences, and exhibitions. It serves as a cultural and heritage center in Bhopal.

Amazing view of the city and lake. We visited the rooftop restaurant. Service was perfect and the staff was polite and gracious. The food was good in taste and presentation. Would recommend spring rolls and for dessert beetroot halwa. It has both outside and inside. Pictures of the history of the city are displayed around the restaurant which is a beautiful site in itself. Must visit.

Today at 21st of Oct me and my whole family went to this restaurant for having a good experience which turns out worst dinning experience , while after soup we waited whole 1 hour for our dinner to prepare, we give up expectations of dinner after one hour waiting, when nobody was bother to give any information about our order and don't care to cook our food even after one hour they were asking us to wait for another 15 mins , this is the most pathetic service and rude staff ever seen, they don't care about your experience our kids fall a sleep while waiting for food . Shameful and worst service. I would like to tell everyone don't ruin ur experience and money in this over priced under delivered co called restaurant.

Park
Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is a renowned destination for wildlife enthusiasts. Situated near the Upper Lake and Shymala Hills, it offers a picturesque landscape with diverse flora and fauna. The park follows strict standards set by the Central Zoo Authority to preserve animals in environments similar to their natural habitats. Visitors can witness tigers, lions, bears, and other wild animals roaming freely in this urban jungle.
A Refreshing Day Amidst Nature We visited Van Vihar National Park in Bhopal by car, and it was a truly refreshing experience. The drive through the park was peaceful, surrounded by greenery and beautiful natural landscapes. We were lucky to spot a variety of wildlife including peacocks, deer, a tiger, lion, bear, crocodiles, snakes, butterflies, and many birds. The enclosures are spacious and designed to resemble the animals’ natural habitats, making the experience feel authentic and immersive. The weather was perfect, adding to the charm of the visit. We thoroughly enjoyed exploring the park, soaking in the calm atmosphere, and witnessing the beauty of wildlife up close. A lovely day spent in nature — highly recommended for a peaceful outing!

Van Vihar National Park is often referred to as a “national park,” but in reality, it feels more like a large open zoo. Many of the animals are kept in enclosures, so don’t expect a completely wild safari experience. The park is set along a single straight road about 10–12 km long, which you can explore in different ways — on foot, by bicycle, bike, or car — with separate entry fees depending on your choice. It’s a very photogenic location, with plenty of spots where the greenery, lake views, and wildlife make for beautiful pictures. The best time to visit is early in the morning when the air is fresh and the crowds are minimal. If you plan to walk the whole route, wear sports shoes and comfortable clothing, as it can be a long stretch. On the other hand, if you’d rather not walk, bringing your own vehicle is a good option to cover the distance comfortably. One thing to keep in mind is that the park is not very shaded, so visiting on hot, sunny days can be tiring. Overall, it’s an “okay” place for a peaceful outing, especially for nature lovers and photographers who enjoy a calm environment without too much rush.

Very well maintained, delightful experience for nature lovers. Great sighting of varied wildlife animals. Unbelievable experience as it is right in the heart of the city. Must visit Van Vihar for a day with nature! Note: Tourists can avail the safari options provided by the Forest Department or register the 2 or 4 wheeler they are using for the safari.

Beautiful place! So green and there is river/lake flowing alongside. It feels surreal. Ticket cost is very less but the experience is amazing! They have a very clean and maintained national park. So spacious and we can find many animals there. The view is just breathtaking. Rare trees are also there, beautiful butterflies, tigers, bears, snakes, rabbits, rare birds, turtles and many more I have seen. They also have a beautiful cafe inside van vihar. They have scenic dining settings. Good options in the menu. I enjoyed a coffee there while gazing at the water below, observing beautiful and soothing ripples of flowing water. Well maintained place. Bikes and cars are allowed inside. Horn is not allowed to keep animals and other creatures at peace. Bicycles and e bikes are available for rent there at a very reasonable cost. Great experience overall.

Must visit tourist attraction of Bhopal. With the lake on one side and animals on the other. There are lot of peacocks 🦚around. Lot of different birds. It’s hard to get the glimpse of tiger 🐯 and leopards 🐆. As their cage are huge. Entry fee for car is 300 rupees. They tell you to not honk while driving. But some dumb people still honk and disturb the animals. So please remember this while you visit next time.
Swapnil K — Google review
Van Vihar National Park is the perfect spot to spend a peaceful morning or evening in Bhopal. Whether you prefer walking, cycling, riding your Scooty, or driving through in your car, the park is designed to accommodate all. On one side, you’re treated to the calm beauty of the Upper Lake, and on the other, lush greenery surrounds you — it’s truly the best of both worlds. The park is a great place to catch a breathtaking sunrise or sunset by the lake. You’ll also come across a variety of animals, birds, and butterflies, making it a serene escape into nature. There’s a charming little café by the lakeside inside the park — a nice place to sit and unwind, though the prices are slightly on the higher side. I’d also recommend renting a cycle from outside (either your own or the electric ones available nearby) for a more enjoyable and comfortable experience as the cycles available inside are mostly partially broken. A must-visit for nature lovers and anyone looking to slow down and take in the beauty of Bhopal.

I find this place very useless.Let me tell you how it felt? 1- First of all, there is nothing in this park. This park is just a park in name and there is nothing else. 2- Whenever you come to a park with your vehicle, first you have to pay parking fee. ₹10 for bike, ₹20 for car. 3- After this you have to pay entry fee to enter. 4- I went there in the evening. I found a lot of insects on this bridge. I found a lot of flying insects which were irritating me a lot and were causing me a lot of trouble. 5- And when I went there during evening time, many places in this park were closed and there were creatures roaming around everywhere who can irritate you a lot. 6- Then they have made a small children's park. You will have to pay a fee to enter that too. 7- After that people come here. Mostly to enjoy the toy train, the fee for the toy train is ₹25. Yes, it is a little good. But spending ₹25 for one round is a bit expensive 8- Then when you go to its food court, you will find some expensive items in its food court which you will feel that I should go out and eat them. I should not eat here. According to me, it has turned out to be worthless. Going here or not going here is the same thing. For me, I would prefer not to go.

The Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum, established in 2013, offers a unique and immersive experience into the traditions of various tribal communities in the region. Unlike traditional museums, it allows visitors to walk through doorways and into rooms that showcase wedding celebrations, pots and pans, musical instruments, and more up close. The museum features a giant banyan tree at the entrance with branches extending throughout the gallery to provide shelter for different kinds of huts and homes.
The Madhya Pradesh Tribal Museum in Bhopal offers an incredible journey into the rich cultural heritage of the state's indigenous communities. This isn't just another museum with static displays - it's a vibrant celebration of tribal art, customs, and way of life. The museum beautifully presents authentic tribal crafts, traditional implements, jewelry, and artwork that highlight the creativity and skill of these communities. What makes it special are the full-scale replicas of tribal homes with detailed wall art and decorations that transport you into their world. The thoughtful curation represents various tribal groups, each with their distinct customs and architectural styles. Modern presentation methods, strategic lighting, and narrative elements make the experience both captivating and informative. From elaborate wood carvings to meaningful paintings depicting ancient stories and legends, every corner tells a story. This museum successfully bridges the gap between preserving tradition and contemporary presentation. It's an enlightening experience for anyone interested in India's diverse cultural landscape - whether you're passionate about history, art, or simply exploring something different. The Tribal Museum offers valuable insights into indigenous traditions that deserve recognition and provides a meaningful alternative to typical tourist destinations.

Had a wonderful experience at the Tribal Museum! The entry fee is just ₹20 per person and ₹100 for photography — totally worth it! The place is beautifully maintained, neat, and clean. Loved how every corner tells a story and showcases tribal life so creatively. If you visit on a Saturday or Sunday, don’t miss the amazing food stalls — especially their Jalebi and Dosa, both are a must-try! 😋 A perfect place to explore, learn, and enjoy authentic local vibes.

One of the best museums in Bhopal! This museum offers an enriching experience of tribal life, culture, and art. It beautifully showcases tribal artifacts, lifestyle, and full-scale houses that give a true sense of their architecture and traditions. The entry fee is nominal, and there’s a small extra charge for photography — totally worth it if you enjoy capturing unique cultural spaces. A canteen is available on the lower floor, and a souvenir shop is located right next to the entrance. One of the most fascinating parts of the visit is meeting real tribal artists from different regions who stay here to create and display their crafts. The on-site art gallery features stunning tribal paintings, which are also available for purchase. Parking for cars and bikes is conveniently located opposite the entry. Overall, it’s a must-visit place for anyone interested in culture, art, and photography.

I must say that Tribal museum in Bhopal is one of the most illustrative and amazing museum showing the tribal culture and life. It shows how tribal community is living in different type of houses, how they draw painting, how they celebrate their functions and how they play games. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Living Tribute to India's Rich Heritage — An Unforgettable Experience! Indira Gandhi Manav Sangrahalaya (Museum of Mankind) in Bhopal is truly one of the most unique and enriching museums I have ever visited. Spread across a vast, scenic campus on Shyamla Hills, overlooking the beautiful Upper Lake, this museum isn’t just a collection of artifacts — it’s a celebration of India’s incredible tribal, rural, and cultural diversity. What sets this museum apart is its open-air layout. You don’t just see history in glass cases — you walk through it. Life-size tribal huts, traditional dwellings, agricultural setups, and village scenes from different states and communities across India have been recreated with amazing authenticity. Each corner of the museum tells a story — from the art and rituals to the lifestyle and survival methods of our indigenous communities. The indoor galleries are just as impressive, showcasing rare photographs, folk art, musical instruments, ornaments, masks, and even spiritual beliefs of different tribes. Everything is well-labeled and explained in both Hindi and English, making it easy to understand and connect with. It’s not just educational — it’s a peaceful, soul-touching journey through India’s roots. Walking through the lush green paths, hearing the birds, and soaking in the tribal wisdom makes this place feel sacred. The staff is helpful, the premises are clean and well-maintained, and there’s enough space for families to enjoy without crowds. I highly recommend this museum for students, researchers, history enthusiasts, photographers, and anyone who wants to experience the real India beyond textbooks. Take your time when you visit — you’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for India’s cultural richness and the resilience of its people. A true national treasure! 🇮🇳✨

I really enjoyed visiting the Indira Gandhi National Museum of Mankind in Bhopal. It’s a huge place with lots of interesting artifacts that show how different tribes across India live. The best part is the open-air section—full-size tribal houses from all over the country, from the remote Northeast to the deserts of Rajasthan. Walking through these huts and seeing their unique designs feels like a mini trip across India. The museum is calm, spacious, and very well maintained. Nothing feels rushed—you can take your time, look around, and learn a lot without getting bored. It’s a great spot for anyone curious about culture, history, or just looking for a peaceful and unique place to explore in Bhopal. Overall, a really nice and refreshing experience. Totally worth a visit.

The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) in Bhopal is a captivating anthropological museum, sprawling across 200 acres on Shamla Hills, offering a vivid journey through India’s cultural tapestry. This National Museum of Mankind beautifully showcases human evolution and tribal heritage through its extensive exhibits. The masks collection is a standout, featuring intricate designs from various tribes, reflecting their rituals, beliefs, and artistry. These masks, crafted from materials like wood, feathers, and beads, highlight the socio-cultural significance of tribal traditions, making them a must-see for visitors. The state-wise displays, including those of Manipur and Sikkim, are equally impressive, presenting authentic dwellings, artifacts, and traditional crafts that capture the unique lifestyles and cultural diversity of these regions. The open-air exhibitions, like the Tribal Habitat and Himalayan Village, immerse visitors in vibrant reconstructions of indigenous life. Despite its educational value, the museum could improve amenities like accessibility and signage. With its serene ambiance and rich collections, IGRMS is a treasure for history enthusiasts and families, offering an enlightening experience of India’s cultural heritage.

Gorgeous! The first thing that came to my mind as soon as I stepped into the bistro was wow! This place is so beautiful. With its aesthetically done interiors, minimalistic design, thoughtful use of lighting and the sprawling backyard garden, this bistro is a must visit for anyone and everyone. I went there on a December night, for a casual dinner with friends and I was awestruck by the view. The place was nestled in a quaint corner, inside the bespoke Jehan Numa Bhopal. The cafe was quiet with only a small number of tables to accommodate the guests. But that did not bother me at all. In fact, I liked it that they serve a limited number of guests. Because the peaceful ambience added to its allure. The backyard garden seemed quite interesting for clicking some pictures and on my insistence the staff allowed me a quick walk inside the area. I couldn't spot many vegetables distinctly, as the place was dim-lit. But the view of the bistro from the garden was nothing less than magical. Talking about food, their preparations rank high on the 'eat healthy' parameter, with a more continental appeal. Since it's a bistro, the menu was limited but not at all disappointing. For a food lover like me, there were quite a few interesting offerings in Pizzas, Pastas and Salads. For the beer lovers, the place offers some good beers to choose from. In short, the place is now on my go-to list and I will definitely go there again, whenever I visit Bhopal again.

Had an amazing lunch at this place! It was recommended by a friend and I'm glad I went here with my family. The food was delectable. We had Nachos, smoothies, pizzas and desserts. The food was freshly made. Loved the cheesecake! 🤩 The service was also top notch. The staff was considerate, quick and helpful! I was surprised to see some bad reviews for this cafe's food on google maps. If you are not into gourmet food and only like masala, street - style food, then this is not for you. A must visit!
Sushmita S — Google review
Overall recommended, though not great at value for money department. Nice green environment and excellent ambience. Food and Beverages taste excellent. Service is prompt ad staff is courteous. The main population of this bistro goers are younger generation as expected ( Teen to under 30s). Not sure if this was on that particular days. A hit different from places like Bangalore and Hyderabad where even people in their 40s and 50s can be seen in similar places. There is dedicated place for residents only which is like a very good curated garden. It is a quaint place to spend a lovely evening with friends and family. As mentioned above definitely overpriced for an outlet attached to a 4 star hotel.

🌿 Beautiful Place, Terrible Staff, Extremely Disappointed We visited Greenhouse Bistro, Jehan Numa. The café is absolutely stunning serene, beautifully designed, and full of charm but the staff completely ruined the experience. The attitude of both the lady staff member and the manager was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. We requested a plain pancake without syrup or sugar for our baby. Despite explaining clearly, they served it drenched in syrup and refused to make any changes. We had ordered pizza, two cappuccinos, and juice. Still, the lack of basic hospitality overshadowed everything. Poor service ruins the entire experience, no matter how aesthetic the place is. A beautiful café like this deserves better staff. Definitely not returning. The lady and the manager were the main reason our afternoon was ruined. They were rude and completely unmannered. What’s worse, they served food outside to other customers, but refused the same to us without any explanation. I don’t understand why they were so unprofessional and disrespectful toward there customers.

Ambience and the place was just amazing Loved the vibes there Though I didn’t like the food much It was quite pricey and not worth the money

Beautiful location, Natural environment. Testy food quality. In Bhopal The Green House Bistro is a charmingly casual, yet a sophisticated cafe in Bhopal that is set within a greenhouse, brimming with plants, vegetables, and fragrant jasmine. Draped with Indian blinds and decorated with antiques, this quaint cafe near Van Vihar, Bhopal at Jehan Numa Retreat is your weekend meal-fix.

Kebabsville, located within the Sayaji Hotel in Bhopal, offers a sophisticated dining experience with its al fresco seating by the pool and live grill stations. The restaurant boasts a lavish buffet menu featuring a wide range of starters, particularly Bhopali kebabs. Guests can enjoy an array of kebab combinations while lounging poolside as skilled chefs carefully cook each dish to perfection.
Loved the food. Sayaji knows how to serve people. The food here was awesome and the service was good too. Got there for dinner with family and was treated like family.

Wow! What an experience! One of the best places for buffet dining in Bhopal. I loved the hospitality of the Sayaji team. I definitely want to try this experience again in the near future. If you’re going for dinner, I believe the experience is so good that you will cherish it forever. The salads, starters, main courses, and desserts are delightful, and you will enjoy every bite. The staff is very polite and helpful. Definitely a place to recommend for big occasions with family. 🙌

Visited here on a dinner date. Kebabsville is situated inside Sayaji Hotel with sitting layout on either side of hotels swimming pool. Live performance (music and dance) are there to keep you entertained. This is a pure buffet restaurant where starters are served on table with live tandoor placed on your table and some pre prepared starters placed directly on your plate. Once you are done with starters you can move to the soup and main course which includes indian breads, rice, veg and non veg main course dishes, followed by loads of desserts. Drinks are available, both Hard and soft, at extra cost. Staff is attentive and on their toes to serve you. They do offer table decoration service for free which includes rose petals and candle light on request. Though I had requested for table decoration which they offer over call when booking, but the same was not arranged. Overall had a good experience.

Another eventful evening. Sayaji's hospitality, services, ambience and food quality has always mesmerized us, anchoring their position in the top bracket of f&b industry. Their new menu ensures picking signature bbq dishes from different parts of the globe. We relished them thoroughly and wish them all the best for their ongoing bbq fest. Would strongly insist everyone to visit and experience them.👍🙌 Glad for the warm welcome received by Sayaji.

Sitting arrangement around the pool with live Ghazal singing in the background makes for a cool dining experience.

You can have the pool side fine dining experience along with live music. Staff is polite. If you are planning to visit over weekend just make sure to reserve your table. I feel meal variety is less for vegetarians, not sure about non-veg.
Anil S — Google review
Amazing buffet experience at Kebabsville! The spread was incredible - grilled snacks on the table, regular servings of veg and non-veg delights, and an array of soft and hard drinks, including exotic cocktails. Seating by the pool added to the ambiance, with live Indian soft music playing in the background. The main course had a vast selection of curries, bread, and sweets. Service was top-notch!
Jayant T — Google review
Beautiful ambiance around poolside with live singing by artists in the evening. Beautiful arrangements and lighting. Could have more varieties for vegetarian Barbeque starters. Staff was a little slow in serving starters. Food was an average in taste. Bar is also there serving mocktails and cocktails.

Coffee shop
Cafechino is a charming restaurant and bakery situated in the heart of Bhopal, within the popular Jehan Numa hotel in Shymala Hills. The cafe offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with stylish interiors and open dining spaces that allow plenty of natural light. It's an ideal spot to savor coffee, pastries, and socialize with friends or gather for special occasions.
It is so heartening to see my fav bakery and cafe making a comeback .. Happy times at Cafechino Jehnuma In my last few visits the cafe was disappointing but the visit this week and then the cake yesterday has bought so much happiness to me .. We had 1. Fresh gelatos of chocolate and orange and chocolate fudge .. it was refreshing and perfectly balanced. 2. Dahi puri was yumm and so fresh with perfect balance of spices … crunch papdi , eight amount of curd and chutney and masala. And enough quantity to satiate three people comfortably. 3. Next was the four vegetable pizza customised to my taste with lots of corn. The fresh thin base was a delight to eat. 4. The last but not the least were the much awaited desserts … raspberry sorbet chocolate mousse Banoffee cheesecake Mango eclair The raspberry was a thin and slightly crunchy coating on a perfect chocolate mousse . The mango eclairs was crisp with fresh mangos and mango cream The banoffee dessert was great too Then it was the cake that my friend got for me yesterday as a belated birthday thing .. the chocolate overload cake which was super moist and the ganache on top was simply heaven .. fresh and perfect .. #foodie #nostalgia #goodfood #foodgasm #anukritism

I had a wonderful experience at Cafechino! The ambience is warm and inviting, and the food and coffee are absolutely top-notch. What made the visit truly exceptional was the outstanding service from Mr. Ramlal. His attentiveness, friendly nature, and genuine care for guests made me feel truly valued. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and his recommendations were spot-on. A rare example of hospitality done right – I’ll definitely be returning soon!

Expensive but worth the ambience, quality of food and service. The bakery is great, you will find something for your taste. Two different rooms have two very different vibe, loved the silent jazzy vibe of one of them. The greenery and white decor is definitely soothing for eyes and mind.

The cake was amazing. compliments to the chef , the texture the taste the flavours along with the perfect decoration , made the event all the more special , thank you .

I found it overhyped. It’s a palace turned hotel. Ambience is good, but not great. I went to their cafe. Ordered egg florentine, it was one of the worst i have ever had in india. It was not at all cooked properly, only that it looked good. Blueberry cheesecake pastry was good and yummy. Also tried paneer manchurian croissant and spinach corn croissants. Both were just average. Food can be improved. Service was prompt.

Bar & grill
Cafe
The restaurant Wind n Waves is well known for its amazing live music and atmosphere. It is often praised by all of its guests for its spacious area, friendly staff and delicious food. The bar and grill is also veg friendly, offering vegan options as well as full vegetarian meals.
Wind and Waves is a nice restaurant by the lake in Bhopal. The view is peaceful and beautiful. The food, especially the fish and Indian dishes, is tasty. It's a great place for a calm dinner with family or friends. The service is good. It's a bit pricey, but the experience is worth it.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and my experience was a mixed bag. The *location* was truly superb, making it easy to access various attractions and amenities. However, the *food* was not quite up to my expectations. While the hotel made an effort, the quality and taste didn't quite match the standards I was hoping for. On the other hand, the *staff service* was exceptional. The team was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. Overall, while the hotel had its strengths and weaknesses, I appreciated the effort the staff put into making my stay pleasant. With some improvements in food and facilities, this hotel could truly shine. *Rating:* 3.5/5 stars *Recommendation:* If you're looking for a hotel with a great location and excellent staff service, this might be a good option. However, if food and facilities are top priorities, you might want to consider other alternatives.

One of the best places to eat overlooking lake outdoor sitting with soulful live music and excellent seating plan to have sense of space and privacy. Food is excellent. Only spoiler is slow service on Sundays and difficult to find parking sometimes. But still worth it.

Very Bad Experience I had a terrible experience at Wind and Waves Restaurant near Bhopal Lake. The non-veg food tasted really bad and didn’t feel fresh. After eating there, I fell sick and ended up vomiting the entire night. Service was also poor, and the staff didn’t seem to care about customer issues. Based on my personal experience, I strongly suggest avoiding this place. Definitely not recommended.

I had my wedding at Wind and Waves, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The venue was absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views that made the whole event feel so special. All my relatives kept praising the place, and they were really happy with the menu too — everyone had such a great time! I want to give a big thank you to Sushil, who managed the banquet and all the arrangements. He was so kind, helpful, and made sure everything went smoothly. The food was delicious, and the staff were polite, friendly, and so cooperative. Thank you to the entire team at Wind and Waves for making my big day so wonderful and memorable!
Meghna S — Google review
The view of Upper Lake a.k.a Bada talab is great. But the food is average and the price is not justified. If you want to go and relax and enjoy sunset then it's a good place.
Anshu S — Google review
Wind & Waves is one of Bhopal’s most scenic dining spots, perfectly perched on the banks of the Upper Lake. The view is truly unbeatable—especially around sunset—making it an ideal place to unwind, enjoy a meal, or simply take in the peaceful lakeside atmosphere. The food is surprisingly good, with a mix of Indian and continental dishes. Tandoori platters, chilli paneer, and North Indian mains are flavorful and well-prepared. It’s comfort food with a view, and that combination works beautifully. However, the one area that needs attention is the service. While the staff is courteous, the service can be quite slow and inconsistent, especially during busy hours. With a bit more attentiveness and efficiency, this place could easily become one of the top dining destinations in the city. Verdict: Visit for the breathtaking views and good food—but be prepared to wait a bit. Worth it if you’re not in a rush.
Manisha P — Google review
Overall we had a pleasant experience there. If you want a good view and ambiance then its a very awesome place to visit but they are very bad with their services. Also there is some arrangement for live music but its the worst you will barely feel nice listening to.
