Arenas & Stadiums
Coors Field is a 76-acre stadium in Denver, home to the Colorado Rockies. Some seats offer views of the Rocky Mountains, adding to the allure of this iconic ballpark. The stadium provides a nostalgic feel of a classic ballpark while incorporating state-of-the-art technology. Visitors can take 'Behind the Seams' tours for a behind-the-scenes look at one of Major League Baseball's premier ballparks.
Love this place! Went too the Rockies game Friday Night with some friends and we had an awesome time! We parked lot B and got a bus shuttle that took us to the entrance and they were awesome people and friendly too! And got into the game easy and no problem! Their were so much food spots to choose from , so we end up getting random food that cost us $75 and didn’t finish it all . We finally try the Rockies Dog! Very good and enjoyed that! So after the game we got back on the shuttle bus and took us to our parking it was easy! Well can’t wait too be back for another game!

No water fountains that i saw.Disabled parking fills more than an hour before game starts.Very well organized and courteous people.$23 parking and easy to get out in first 15 Minutes.Bus to transport inside parking but there is a line. One side of stadium be third baseline had shadow whole The rest was baking hot.No long bathroom lines! Very expensive beer $11-15.Ne careful what seats you buy. Disabled people have personal assistants and for those using a walker is very difficult cu hold on to bars when descending on stairs because of wrong spacing of bars. Please Avoid the stairs if you have a cane.

The park was clean and comfortable. All seats provided excellent viewing. Multiple vendors offered a variety of services and prices that were reasonable. I would highly recommend this park of you love baseball.

Coors Field is one of the best ballparks around! The atmosphere is always incredible - from the mountain views to the energy of the crowd, it’s such a fun experience whether you’re a big baseball fan or just there for a great day out. The stadium is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food and drink options never disappoint. As a local real estate agent in Northern Colorado, I love spending time here with family and clients - it’s a perfect example of what makes living in Colorado so enjoyable. If you’re in the Denver area, catching a game at Coors Field is an absolute must! ⚾️🌄

Fun way to spend the afternoon! Even better when the Rockies win! Did you know that you can make reservations for the Mountain Ranch Bar & Grille and for $32 a person you can sit inside/outside in the shade and comfy seats and eat at the buffet. Don’t tell anyone about this cool, secret spot!
Christy K — Google review
Beautiful stadium. We want to a day game so it got pretty hot. If you are attending a day game, consider tickets towards the back of a section that has a cover. Loved that they had sunscreen at the first aid stations and had water refill stations. We enjoyed the view from the roof and by the bullpens before we sat in our seats. I also loved that they had a kids food area with very reasonable prices! It’s right by the playground. Entertainment between innings could be more exciting.
Noelle M — Google review
This is a great ballpark. It is gorgeous inside and out. It has a timeless look and feel. It’s so inviting you feel like Babe Ruth played there. It’s located a mile high above sea level and the views are amazing. I would highly recommend and you should buy some merch at the on site store and the food is fantastic and reasonably priced.
Matt S — Google review
Coors Field is one of the most beautiful ballparks in the country. There is truly nothing like the views of the Rocky Mountains from the stands sunset games are unbelievable. The atmosphere is fun, relaxed, and very “Colorado,” and it’s the perfect place to catch a Rockies game on a nice day. Great stadium, great vibes, and absolutely iconic mountain views.

Points of Interest & Landmarks
Larimer Square, located in Denver's Lower Downtown district, is a historic area where the city was founded. This vibrant spot is home to independent shops, bars, restaurants, and boutiques. The street is adorned with signature string lights and features buildings dating back to the 1850s. It offers a mix of modern city life and historical charm. Just north of Union Station lies Five Points, known for its rich history as the focal point of Denver's African American community.
A historic Denver landmark thats extremely walkable and filled with shops, restaurants and a lively atmosphere. A cute and beautiful square with unique selections. A great spot to enjoy coffee and local stalls during the weekends, definitely recommend!
Yusuf J — Google review
Larimer Square is absolutely charming — a must-visit when in Denver! The historic buildings, twinkling string lights, and vibrant atmosphere make it feel magical both day and night. It’s the perfect place to stroll, shop at unique boutiques, or enjoy a meal at one of the many great restaurants and cafes. The mix of history and modern energy gives it such a special character. Whether you’re visiting Denver for the first time or have lived here for years, Larimer Square always has something to offer. ✨🏙️

Really pretty area. It's nice to walk through it and bounce store to store. The building exterior has a historic look (brick, painted wood) and there are cafe string lights hanging overhead. Great atmosphere and lots of fun and interesting stores. Really nice restaurants as well.
Chris L — Google review
There’s old buildings, built into modern day restaurants and businesses. This was a fun street, dressed in the Colorado flag. It hosted multiple local jewelry makers, clothing brands, someone who was selling vintage maps of the world, a record seller, and it even had its own DJ that encouraged people to buy local. It was a poppin’ evening down Larimer Square.
Meg G — Google review
Came here on a weekday daytime so it wasn't as lively as I wish it to be. It's a closed-off/pedestrianized street, not very long but it looks like a decent place to hang out, with cafe, restaurants and some stores. Walking distance from nearby car park, Union Station and University of Colorado. Makes for a good walk around the neighborhood.
Chet — Google review
Larimer Square is the oldest part of Denver - where Colorado capital was initially founded. It's a historic yet very small area with several bars and restaurants, some quaint shops with Colorado state flags above the entire area
Dejan B — Google review
A simple street located in the heart of Denver’s downtown where there are restaurants, snacky stores, a thrift store, and more. When I was there, there was a bit of construction but nothing too big to block off a big section of the square. Location is super easy to get to by bus as there are approxiamately 2-3 bus stops near. Honestly nothing special for me, just a small street packed with clothing stores and restaurants.
Xoom T — Google review
Definitely a nice up skill place in Denver. You’ll find great food to eat line to drink and even if you vintage shops during the day. There is a few speakeasys in this area that I would love to leave some reviews on, but definitely a great place to stop by and enjoy yourself and spend a little mula

Conference & Convention Centers
The Colorado Convention Center is a modern and spacious venue in Denver, featuring meeting and expo facilities as well as an abundance of public art. One of its most iconic features is the 'See What You Mean' sculpture, also known as the big blue bear, standing at 40 feet tall and peering through the center's towering windows. This playful artwork symbolizes curiosity and serves as a connection between Denver residents and visitors attending various events hosted within the convention center.
Big, open, airy, plenty of restrooms and kept clean. Parking garages are nearby or there’s metered street parking. Pretty neat place to spend an afternoon depending on what festival or event they’re having! Like the outside art work and sitting spaces.
MtZ R — Google review
I attended a conference at the center. The building is impressive in size and design. However, it lacks simple amenities to make it a welcoming space. There was not enough seating in the common areas outside of the conference rooms. Food options within the area were also inadequate. The concessions available ran out of food on a daily basis. Initially, there were not enough staff to provide information. However, that improved in the latter days of the conference. For such an impressive venue, more efforts could be made to make the space more welcoming.
Clement L — Google review
Great American Beer Festival was a success. Good job to the workers making it easy to get in, know where to go, and keeping the place clean. Tasting was spread out in various areas, so nothing got way too busy. For 4 hours, $95 to get tiny samples was more about the event and being with friends than the beer itself. All of the beef and spirit vendors were gracious, shared info on their beverages, and made it easy to get samples. I do wish there were more food options there. Some folks were smart and brought homemade necklaces of pretzels, candy, and snacks to munch on. Just not enough food vendors and they were on the edges of the room. Some seriously ignorant and belligerent people there, since sampling quantity isn't monitored much. I get that people want to get their value for the money they spent to get in, but I witnessed guys threatening workers on the way out just to instigate a problem. The workers handled it well, though.
Matt H — Google review
This is a nice convention center and quite large. It has decent amenities. One of the big draws other than you are probably there for a conference is the big blue bear.
Zoe' S — Google review
What can I say? It’s a great conference center. I came here for the Psychedelic Science 2025 conference, and the space handled a huge crowd without feeling too cramped or chaotic. The layout is easy to navigate, with plenty of room for talks, exhibits, and all the side conversations that make these events special. Parking isn’t perfect.. like most big venues - but it’s decent and gets the job done. Once you’re inside, everything is clean, organized, and set up to bring people together. Overall, it’s a solid place to host a large conference and create a sense of community. Five stars from me.
Dr. D — Google review
Went to Fan Expo. Had a blast. Even found good parking even though it was so busy. The only complaint was cell service but that wasn't their fault. There were too many people too close together.
Heather D — Google review
Every experience is different depending on the event. I've been here a couple times for the Denver Fan Expo and had a great time each time. Crowded but tolerable. The staff were helpful with information on where to go and help find things. They kept the bathrooms decently clean. Overall chill experience!

This place is huge! The escalators are in strange places and it’s easy to get lost in all the through hallways. The staff was all nice that I interacted with. The rooftop terrace was an amazing feature!

Denver Pavilions, situated in the heart of downtown on the 16th Street Mall, is a bustling shopping destination offering an array of over 40 restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of experiences including Lucky Strike bowling and United Artists theaters with luxurious lounge chairs. The Heart Denver Store showcases the work of more than 135 local artists, making it an ideal spot to find unique Colorado souvenirs while supporting local talent.
Here for food, movies, arcade, pool (when Tarantula pool bar is packed), candy, and H&M. Not much shopping but perfect for a date night. They always change up the block which is always nice. And a beautiful downtown spot for walking around and down town views.

After hearing online about how “rundown” and “full of homeless people” downtown Denver is, I decided during my most recent trip to Colorado to go and see for myself what it was like. I parked in a parking garage and walked around for a few hours. Eventually I ended up here thinking it was 16th Street Mall (apparently they’re separate locations) Contrary to what you’ll hear online, downtown Denver is actually a very nice, lively place. I didn’t see any homeless people in this particular area and felt super safe walking around. This is a really cool, clean little outdoor mall with several small and big name vendors. There’s a souvenir shop and a super slow elevator that takes you to the different levels. I’ve never really seen a mall like this. Super pedestrian friendly streets and walkways with an interesting mixture of modern and older architecture in the surrounding buildings. The closer you get to the capitol building (which is partly visible from the street) the more construction you’ll run into. Apparently, from what I’ve read online, there’s a lot of renovation being done down here in recent years, but they have walkways that take you through the construction areas to the Capitol. Lots of cool restaurants and stores I didn’t have time to check out. You could really spend the entirety of multiple days checking out this area.
Minespidur — Google review
One of the basically only malls in Denver’s downtown which for me, honestly isn’t super impresionable yet not terrible. I came here twice. 1st to see what was up and 2nd to get some gifts/souvenirs for family members. I will say, not many stores seem to be open and it’s a pretty empty mall but they do have a great gift/souvenir shop called ‘I Heart Denver’ which I highly recommend. There does seem to be a movie theater on the highest level too. I think it’s such a shame the mall isn’t more active as it has a nice location and layout. If you want to use the restrooms, you gotta buy something first then with the receipt the cashier will give you the code the enter.
Xoom T — Google review
The location is so beautiful, relaxing, and nice! The movie theater is so great and the parking is validated.
Sandra A — Google review
What a sad sad shopping center. There's more vacant shops than open store fronts. Don't waste your time if you want to browse, same goes for the 16th Street shops, such a disappointment.

A new concept as "Open Mall" on the renewable boulevard is amazing. Good option for eat, entretenimient, and store.

nice mall generally but whats the point in having 30 min parking spots available if youre just going to fill them with lime scooters? theres literally plenty of other places for them to go but theyre taking up a whole parking spot...

Restaurant
Rioja is a renowned modern Mediterranean and Spanish restaurant located in Larimer Square, known for its high-energy dining room and imaginative Mediterranean dishes. The restaurant is celebrated for its locally sourced, season-intensive dishes, hand-crafted pastas, extensive brunch menu, and thoughtful pastry program. It features a transparent kitchen, copper-topped bar, and chef's counter that add to the polished aesthetics of the place. Rioja offers an adventurous wine selection highlighting bottles from Spain and Portugal along with imaginative cocktails.
My wife said her breakfast was the best breakfast she has ever had in her entire life... with a history of 66 previous birthdays before now! The food was delicious and healthy with artful presentation. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We had brunch on the sidewalk with a market and music happening. Beautiful start to our day!
Michael C — Google review
I never give anyone a 5 star for my first time but this restaurant is AMAZING!!! Britain was a server and he is fantastic!!! An added bonus is that he is from our hometown of Philly PA. We were out browsing Larimer Square and this restaurant is rated the best. I ordered the artichoke tortellini 7 piece and a Lion’s Tail cocktail. Both were amazing. The tortellini is to beg for more. The broth is so luxurious and silky. The pasta and filling was fresh and savory. I wanted to pick up my bowl and slurp the broth. I wish I had time to try more items but I was walking around trying all the different spots that were recommended to me. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Ny B — Google review
A wonderful restaurant with an elegant atmosphere and delicious, carefully prepared food. The dishes are innovative, the flavors are balanced, and the service is excellent and friendly. A fine dining experience well worth a visit.
Ammar H — Google review
A contemporary yet cozy restaurant with great service and thoughtful food. The open concept makes it easy to see into the restaurant and have level eye contact with dining partners. The booths are comfortable. The music is played at an appropriate level (I really enjoyed this afternoon’s playlist). The food is top notch. The artichoke and truffle tortellini is a must try. The savory broth and flavorful filled pastas make an excellent starter. The potato galette was delicious and all the elements of the dish work well together. The blue corn pancakes are unique and I appreciate the elements that add crunch to the dish. The chocolate “pop tart” was an addictive cross between a croissant, brownie, and lava cake. The code donuts are very crispy with a creamy filling and paired with poached apples. With the complex flavors and elegant setting, I see why Rioja has won prestigious awards. It is definitely a splurge, but the experience is well worth it.
Mel W — Google review
I dined at Rioja for my birthday and overall, the experience was decent but had a few missteps that impacted the ambiance. We had a reservation for the chef's counter, which we were excited about, but the service didn't quite meet expectations. Upon arrival, we weren't given a dinner menu when seated, only a wine list and it took about 20 minutes before we received one. In the meantime, we also had to wait on water, and bread service came even later. Thankfully, the menu is available online, so we just looked it up ourselves, but the delayed service definitely stood out. Additionally our server never asked if we had allergies or were celebrating anything, even though we overheard them asking other guests these questions. Luckily, the chef did that on behalf of the server which I appreciated, but it felt like a miss on the part of our waiter. On a positive note, the scallop crudo appetizer was phenomenal, easily the highlight of the meal and something I would recommend. For entrées, we ordered the steak with semolina cakes and the quail with gnocchi. The steak itself was excellent, perfectly cooked and seasoned but the semolina cake was cold/room temp and lacked flavor. The quail was nicely seasoned, but the gnocchi was underwhelming. The sauce had little flavor, and the overall dish didn't come together well. In short, while there were some standout moments, the inconsistent service and a few misses in the food made this visit fall short of expectations.
Hay D — Google review
I was only in town two days, and I had to go back a second time! The bartender was so friendly with helpful information for a visitor. And it was nice to see an actual copper bar. The brunch food was creative and delicious. The Monte Cristo is an elevated example of a classic dish done better than any other I've had before. The fresh bacon absolutely lived up to the hype. I paired it with the green breakfast bowl, which complimented the bacon perfectly.
Derek M — Google review
Just amazing. (A disclaimer - two spoiled and experienced Europeans here). Haute cuisine at its best. The food, the service, their knowledge of their menu (and where the ingredients come from) is truly astonishing. Our waiter, Justin, went above and beyond making our experience unforgettable. We'll definitely come back again! That was a special occasion for us (our wedding anniversary), and we got a card from the staff!
Elena B — Google review
My friend and I had a wonderful experience at Rioja, starting with mimosas and apple cider donuts. We moved on to delicious entrées, then a bloody Mary. The food and service were excellent, and I can’t wait to visit again.

Lazo Empanadas 16th Mall - Store #2 is a must-visit spot in Denver for those craving delicious and filling empanadas. Unlike many other Argentine restaurants, Lazo Empanadas bakes their empanadas instead of deep-frying them. The menu offers a wide variety of flavors, and there are also plenty of sauce options to complement the empanadas. Customers rave about the friendly staff who take the time to explain the menu and share their favorites.
I ordered 3 empanadas. Ground beef (which I was told was the most popular), ham and cheese, and steak quesadilla. My favorite were steak quesadilla and ground beef. They are slightly smaller than what they appear so it is a bit pricey for the size but it’s located in downtown Denver (very walkable from hotels in downtown) so that could be why. Either way the Empanadas were good and the staff was friendly! If you have time there’s a seating area at Denver Pavilion’s near Lazo’s which is a great place to eat your empanadas. :)
Charline O — Google review
Came here because was around the block from the hotel I'm staying and weather was awful to walk anywhere else. Glad I found this place. Is a bit hidden, but cozy environment. People here were very friendly too. Empanadas are tiny tiny tiny, tho, but delicious. I ended up staying longer so I could finish my wine, which was surprisingly good and the fact they serve beer and wine.
Eryka S — Google review
Pretty decent empanadas for an ok price on the 16th Street Mall. There's a lot of choices, which can make it hard to pick, but they are all pretty yummy, especially after a quick blast in the oven. They are more on the small side for empanadas, which is fine I guess
Benjamin B — Google review
I love empanadas. I love chicken empanadas. I love spicy chick empanadas. This place was awesome. The pastry was like, soft, fluffly and crispy all at the same time. Heaven.
Adam D — Google review
The empanadas are good, especially the dough, but they are too pricey for their size. Perfect place if you are looking for a quick bite but for a dinner you need to order at least four or five empanadas. The staff was very friendly. If you are staying at the hotel, this is a good option.
Elisa R — Google review
This place was DOPE! The empanadas are perfection, especially the crust. We tried BBQ chicken, spicy chicken, mushroom, spinach & cheese, and a dessert one, caramel, cream cheese, and peach. We also got some chimichurri sauce. Honestly, they don’t need any sauce. They are so good! The mushroom turned out to be my favorite, I went back and ordered a second one. This place is also kid approved! My niece shared all four with me and asked for another BBQ chicken. It was honestly so good I forgot to take pics until we’d already devoured most of it. Since this is on 16th street mall, there’s no parking in front. But we snagged a spot right around the corner, so it worked out. It was nice after to take a little stroll on the mall after.

OK, it has been a few years since I have been here, and now I am asking myself, why did I wait so long. Hahaha. I had a beef empanada and a mushroom to start Both were so good and full of ingredients, the mushroom surprised me it was so tasty. I went back and got a spicy steak, yummm, I love spice.and another mushroom, ha. I guess I truly enjoyed that mushroom 🍄 empanada. 😊😊 I will be going back. The staff were super friendly, they are made fresh to order so they come out hot. I love that. I got the chimichuri dipping sauce and the hot sauce. Both were delicious.
Bobbi A — Google review
My company offers to order lunch and this is one of the places on the list for the day so I can’t speak to the location itself, only the food. I got 3 empanadas; spicy chicken, spicy ground beef and spicy steak. As well as the red sauce and green avocado half spicy sauce. The steak and chicken were delish mostly the chicken. The ground beef was sweet and threw me off but still yummy. The red sauce was spicy and delicious. The green had good flavor but kind of a downer compared to the red. Would def indulge again. Would like to check out their location. I’d add a photo but I already ate it.

Sandwich shop
Snarf's Sandwiches is a regional chain that originated from one man's quest to create the perfect sandwich. Founded by Jimmy Seidel, also known as Snarf, the first location opened in Boulder, Colorado in 1996. Since then, the family-owned business has expanded to over 20 restaurants across Colorado, St. Louis, and Austin, Texas.
I was able to get a quick salad for about 15 bucks. And it was my first time, but it was super yummy and Hector helped me out and he was super sweet. I was very tired from a conference, and Hector treated me with nothing but kindness ☀️ does. The food was all right. It’s not a very vegetarian or Vegan friendly spot.
Bianca P — Google review
Had heard quite a bit about this sandwich chain. Now I will say I think I was one of the last customers of the night. The bread was soft and good, although toasted a little longer than I prefer. I had the tuna with extra mayonnaise. It was a good sandwich. I really liked the voodoo chips. The service person was pleasant, but I believe the only one and he was cleaning up for closing. The environment was typical of a downtown sandwich shop. I will be going by again to try their Italian sandwich and will make a point to hit it for lunch as that may increase the ratings when fully staffed and in the peak hours.

Really good sandwich shop. Lots of options to choose from for sandwiches and salads. Made fresh to order. Can, bottle, and fountain drinks available. Various items to pair with your sandwich. There is typically a line out the door and there is a reason why. Give them a try.

I’m not sure if I just caught them on an off day, but my sandwich was really dry. I only eat chicken, and unfortunately, there weren’t many options for someone like me. If I remember correctly, there was only one chicken option — the buffalo chicken sandwich — which I ordered. Sadly, it was pretty underwhelming: not much flavor and barely any chicken in it. Including the chips, it was $22, and I felt it was a waste tbh.

I wanted to like this place as it has good reviews. But after getting an Italian sandwich drench in what seemed like a gallon of mayonnaise, no thanks. Before and after photos.

I stopped by Snarf’s on a whim, this place totally lives up to the hype. I got the Italian special with lettuce and tomatoes, and everything tasted super fresh. You can really tell they use quality ingredients, even the bread was soft, clean-tasting, and had that just-baked vibe. The whole sandwich came together perfectly. The staff was friendly, the place had a chill vibe, and I left already planning my next visit. If you’re in Denver and love a good sandwich, you’ve gotta try Snarf’s.

One of the best experiences out here, it’s local and they have such an amazing menu, awesome art pieces that make the experience even better specially if you have kids! I personally got the Italian sub, which had amazing flavor that I’ve never had before at any other sub or sandwich place I’ve ever gone to. They have fountain drinks, but then they also have refrigerated drinks as well. The servers were friendly, respectful and really nice. Overall 10, out of 10 experience and would definitely recommend . You can tell people like their food as well because me and my family got there and there was a line right out the door as soon as we ordered. Everyone was sitting down and the looks on everyone’s faces was pure joy!!! They also have one of the best chips selections!!!

Cozy and relaxing place for delicious sandwiches! Very hearty portions with fresh, soft and crunchy bread. Smoked brisket was delicate, melt in your mouth goodness. Only drawback is no french fries... but everything else is superb!

Smashburger is a popular counter-serve chain known for its signature smashed burgers, as well as a variety of sides and shakes. Founded in 2007 by Rick Schaden and Tom Ryan, the Denver-based chain has grown to over 370 locations worldwide.
I saw a lot of comment sections that didn’t write very well. Actually it’s not bad, just the bread got really dry, otherwise, pretty good. By the way, download the smashburger app and u can get a free burger right away!!!!!!

It was pretty good. I had never had smash burger before. The burger did not come smashed at all. Everything was not smashed. Eventhough the name us misleading the food was good. And the have something to drink that isn't soda.

Ordered food through Uber eats, that was my 1st mistake, my 2nd mistake was ordering smash burger. Smash burger likes to price gouge & to nickel and dime you. The burger was good...but that's where the positive accolades end. The drinks were wrong; ordered 2 unsweetened iced teas. They were sweet tea; essentially pure liquefied sugar cane. The sweet potato fries were burnt to a crisp to the point where they were inedible. Absolutely ridiculous considering the fact that you have to pay for each item individually that would normally come as part of a combo meal at any other burger establishment. Very poor quality all around. If I could give it lower than 1/5 stars, I would.

Can I please get some brussel sprouts with my oil please? Very disappointing considering I added tots and the sprouts making my lunch close to $25 with tip. So gross! I left a review with the company directly. They just said thanks it’s been noted and will discuss with the restaurant. This is hope much grease was left at the bottom of the cup street dumping it into my plate. Yuck! Not worth the money spent! I could have gone to a local restaurant next door and had better food for that price.

This place was very neat. The staff was young but attentive (usually you don’t get both traits most places). The food was pricey but it came out fast. Smashburger definitely isn’t my first choice for a burger and won’t be still. However I have to give props to this location for being chill and having a great staff!

Yoseline was a phenomenal host by giving patience to the me the customer as well as a satisfied listener who gave me my respect here in Smashburger. She is very hard working and dedicated person who really try’s to give customers that well deserved recognition inside of the restaurant. I do prefer her to even get a raise as well as a compliment from her upper management.

The place was clean. I got a build your own single burger with lettuce tomato pickles and red onion. I thought it was a bit dry and could have used a bit more seasoning, but not bad.

The bacon on my burger was raw. I was halfway through eating my first sandwich when I saw it. So I just wanted to post this so that's Smashburger has it on record because if I get sick from this raw bacon I'm going to send you my medical bills. I have all my receipts and everything.

Zoo
Zoos & Aquariums
Historical landmark
Non-profit organization
Nestled within the picturesque City Park, the Denver Zoo is a captivating destination that spans 80 acres and showcases over 4,000 animals from around 600 species. Established in 1896 with an orphaned black bear cub named Billy Ryan, this beloved attraction has evolved into a vibrant hub for wildlife enthusiasts. Visitors can explore diverse habitats designed to mimic natural environments, including Bear Mountain and Predator Ridge, where majestic lions and hyenas roam freely.
The Denver Zoo is one of the most beautiful zoos I’ve ever visited! 🐅🦒 The grounds are clean, spacious, and full of life, with animals that look healthy and well cared for. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed, making it easy to enjoy every habitat while learning something new. From the majestic lions to the playful monkeys, every corner brings a new surprise. It’s perfect for families, couples, or solo explorers. Truly a gem in Denver and a must-see attraction!

This was our first family trip to the zoo. We enjoyed ourselves. Lots of animals to see. We caught the elephant show so that was pretty cool. The zoo was clean and stroller friendly. It was nice that they had family restrooms. Parking was free and the parking deck allowed us to park in the shade so the car didn't get too hot. Overall we had a great experience.
MsKrayola — Google review
Was a cool place! Very large and a lot of animals! This is actually the first zoo I've visited that had Hyenas, so that thoroughly pleased me! They had this awesome Lorikeet section where it is possible to feed them and they can fly on you but you cannot touch them, which I understand. The Primates area was pretty cool got to see Gorillas up close, some orangutans, I'm not too sure about the Mandrill section but they seemed sad, plus there was a sign saying they've been expressing strange behaviors. OOHHH and they had an area with an Eye eye that was neat. The zoo is actually so large, it was difficult to navigate around even with a map, but not a negative. They just closed a bit early for my liking. They closed at 4 and we were only about... 75% through the park? Also a bit of construction going on. Oh and another awesome thing was all the squirrels and Rabbits roaming all around the park

🦁 5-Star Experience at the Denver Zoo! What an absolutely fantastic day at the Denver Zoo! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, setting the tone for a truly enjoyable visit. The zoo itself is beautifully maintained, and it's clear how much care goes into the animal habitats. We were especially impressed by the variety and visibility of the animals. Well I was there. The animal was visibly happy, which I loved. The exhibits are designed wonderfully, making it easy to observe the animals in settings that feel natural and spacious. It's a wonderful place for both kids and adults to connect with wildlife and learn more about conservation. I highly recommend the Denver Zoo for a day of fun, education, and inspiration. It's a must-visit Denver attraction and a true asset to the city. I can't wait to go back!

Our trip to the Denver Zoo was an absolute blast! The grounds are beautiful, clean, and easy to walk through — you can tell the staff really cares about the animals and the guests. Every exhibit was well-designed, and we loved seeing so many animals up close! The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer questions. The kids especially loved the giraffes and the train ride! Such a fun, family-friendly day — we can’t wait to come back again soon! 🐘🦁🦒

The Denver Zoo is absolutely amazing! 🐘 Every visit feels like a new adventure. The exhibits are beautifully designed, the animals look well cared for, and the staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. My son’s favorite part is seeing the elephants - he could stand there for hours watching them! 🥰 It’s such a wonderful place for families, and we love how clean, shaded, and easy to explore it is. There’s always something exciting going on, whether it’s a special event or just a sunny day surrounded by wildlife. As a Johnstown real estate agent, I’m always telling families how special it is to have places like this right here in the heart of Denver, Colorado. The zoo is a perfect mix of education, conservation, and fun - definitely a must-visit for locals and visitors alike! 🦁🌿

We have gone to the zoo twice this month for Boo at the zoo. The first night was great fun. The lights everywhere were amazing. The second night there were some lights but they were mostly turned off. That was disappointing. But, we had a great family and friends outing. The first night not being able to see the animals in the dark was a bummer. The second night we went earlier and we were able to see some of the animals. The seals are my favorite. Since they would only let us go one way around the zoo we didn't get to see any of the seals, penguins etc.

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a captivating destination that invites visitors to delve into the wonders of natural history and science. This museum serves as an educational haven, showcasing over one million artifacts that span various fields such as anthropology, paleontology, geology, zoology, health, and space science. With engaging exhibits like the Discovery Zone for kids and fascinating displays on Egyptian mummies and North American Indian culture, there's something for everyone to explore.
This is one of Denver's few places that gets a five star review. This place is an awesome experience. I've visited several times with my kids during school field trips, but if you're able to come without children its even better. The amount of nature and science that is being displayed is astronomical. From the big bang to space exploration, microorganisms to the expansion of space and matter. There is something for everyone from toddlers to seniors. General admission is $25 adults children $20 and they regularly have free days.

Great place. They are having a great exhibition. It’s really impressive. I loved it. You feel welcomed, all the staff members are really polite. This museum it’s perfect for educational purposes and entertainment. I loved Angkor: The Lost Empire Of Cambodia exhibition, it’s included on the admission ticket to the museum. I really enjoyed my time there. If you are visiting Denver you should check it out this amazing place.

I've been going to this museum for as long as I can remember. I invested in a Young Professional membership and it was one of the best investments of my adult life. The museum is always changing, adapting, innovating and educating. There are new exhibits throughout each year. They offer adult only evenings with cocktails, interactive education opportunities, small bites, music and fun. They offer different programs and lectures for all ages and interests. This museum is hands down one of the best in the nation. I visit at least once a month, often more due to new and exiting lectures and events. DMNS is a can't miss far and above. Oh...and the salad bar in the food area is killer.

Absolutely a must-see in Denver. The exhibits are captivating - or at least the few that I saw are. It's quite big and is definitely worth the cost. The absolute best thing is to go the terrace on the 4th floor and look out over the city and the mountains in the back. It's truly a stunning view that I absolutely need to see again!

It was a free day and there must have been a furry convention as they were all over the place and a bit inappropriate. It was very crowded and chaotic, couldn't really enjoy it as I would have liked. We will have to revisit on a less busy day. The parking was absolutely atrocious!! Maybe second time around will work out better!!

Very nice museum. Most exhibits have bilingual signs in English & Spanish (very nice!). Very nice dioramas. Cool tie-ins to local geology and paleontology. Favorite areas: Gems and Dinosaurs. The Space exhibit is very kid-friendly. Several optional "extra fee" experiences also available.

Hot dog restaurant
Located in Denver, Steve's Snappin' Dogs is a vibrant and independent hot dog shop that also offers burgers, shakes, and sides, including vegetarian options. Founded by Steve Ballas and his wife Linda, this establishment has been a staple in the city for 12 years. The menu features an array of hot dogs inspired by different regions such as the Atlanta Slaw Dog, California Dog, Dallas Dog, Memphis Dog, and the Denver Dog.
This place is addicting. The food is definitely original and unique. There is not a hot dog or item in this place that I have found to be disappointing. Unfortunately they are closing August 30th 2024. So if you're looking for a really scrumptious hot dog make sure to try the Denver Dog. It is wrapped in a tortilla for Pete's sakes! The Blinky is also a fascinating hot dog. A must try place before it's gone! Make sure to get the tater tots there to die for.
Jeana D — Google review
The hotdogs here are pretty creative and tasty. You will find influence from all parts of the country as their dogs are inspired by regional tastes. From the Bronx to Chicago, and from the Frontera (U.S./Mexico border) to the Rockies, there are hot dogs, burgers, and other delights for every palate. Today, I had the Bronx and Dallas Dog. My partner had the Chimichanga dog. My only beef, pun intended, was the chili on the Dallas dog tasted a little too much like it had a McCormack’s chili powder mix aftertaste. Other than that the hotdogs were pretty good. Also, the lemonade felt like it was missing a little something. It was still good, don’t get me wrong. I just want lemonade that’s so good and tasty that I will want another glass. This was not that lemonade for me. I still recommend this place if you’re looking to try something a little different.

Awesome hot dogs! I got the rippin Rockies and a Chicago dog because I love Chicago dogs. The Chicago dog was pretty good, but not my fave ever. The Rippin Rockies on the other hand was pure delight and a wonderful surprise! I would 100% go back and try more dogs in the future.

Haven't been here in a long time and don't regret having stopped. Their hotdogs were as delicious as they were before, if not better! The Chimi-Dog was the bomb in flavor! It was nice to sit and eat in the covered/heated patio. Their staff was super friendly and made sure we had what we needed. Will be coming back for sure!

We loved Steve’s snappin Dogs. We tried the Bronx and the Atlanta slaw. I’d have to say that I like the Bronx better than the Atlanta Slaw. But the dog was so good that all you really need is the bun. I also tried the iced hot chocolate and it was a very good treat. While we were waiting Steve allowed us to sample his ale. It was very good with a spicy kick to it Thank you Steve for being friendly and funny. Thank you staff for preparing a wonderful meal

Restaurant
Atomic Cowboy is a unique three-in-one concept that includes Denver Biscuit Co, Fat Sully's NY Pizza, and the Atomic Cowboy bar. Known for its towering biscuit sandwiches and giant slices of pizza, it also offers unexpected items like the Lights Out Burger. The Denver Biscuit Company serves up soft, bread-like biscuits with fillings such as battered fried catfish and coleslaw or strawberries and cream.
This place has a pretty cool concept—biscuits and chicken in the morning, then switching it up to pizza at night. It’s an unexpected combo, but it works! The vibe is modern and clean, and the pizza slices are huge. Definitely feels more like a spot where everyone should just pick their own slice with their favorite toppings instead of going in on a whole pie together. That way, everyone gets exactly what they want without overcommitting. Staff was super friendly and the service was great. It’s definitely worth stopping by to check out—especially if you’re in the mood for something different that still hits the comfort food spot.

Cool, eclectic restaurant in a neighborhood that is the same! They have a walk-up window but we used the dining room. Had pizza slices and salads - some of the best I've ever had-- and large portions. The Server was so wonderful and friendly. She made suggestions and was spot on! Biscuit menu is only available in the mornings so going back Friday cuz we don't wanna miss that.

This place is such a fun spot with great decor and wonderful service. They offer all-you-can-drink coffee, and oat milk is available as a dairy-free option. You just pay for one cup and enjoy as many refills as you like—the coffee is local and seriously delicious. Inside the Atomic Cowboy, there are actually two restaurants: one focuses on amazing pizza, and the other builds their menu around fresh, flaky biscuits. You can order from either, which makes for a super flexible and fun dining experience. There are awesome options for kids, fantastic salads, solid burgers, and some truly tasty French toast. We’d definitely come back next time we’re in the area!

First customers right at opening 8am at Atomic Cowboy, we were blown away into biscuity bliss by everything we had. It left us curious enough to return same day that night to close out things with some delicious pizza and garlic knots Fat Sully’s. Biscuit French Toast - add fruit compote, Three run double add sides of sausage gravy and hashbrowns. We had one side of biscuit for sausage gravy and the other with strawberry rhubarb jam. Don’t you dare come here and not try the Giant Biscuit Cinnamon Roll (half order if you are solo) For dinner or late night come back for Fat Sully’s. Get the dine in only 26” Pizza to share and please please try the loaded garlic knots.

I haven’t been blown away by a restaurant in a while but this place knows what it’s doing. The food, service, environment, and music were immaculate. Everyone on staff was great to interact with. Everything was clean too and very nicely organized, basically everything you’d except from a well run establishment. BUT THE FOOD STOLE THE SHOW! The Tito’s strawberry lemonade was refreshing and light. Really hit the spot for a hot day. It was a featured drink of the month (which changes every month I believe). I ordered the chicken cordon blu biscuit sandwich and I really was blown away. It was so so flavorful. The chicken was incredibly crispy and It was topped with honey I believe and that really sealed the flavor deal. I’m not a big ban of waffle fries but I ordered them for my boyfriend to have and I can say I’m a fan of THEIR waffle fries. This place knows what they’re doing on every front of running a restaurant! If you’re in Denver you must try this place. You won’t be disappointed.

1st visit (this branch) - weekday, around 10'ish. Right on Colfax (which, I currently refer to as "cone-fax". Road construction could result to more parking problems. Ordered: Shrimp and Grits The Franklin & another kind of breakfast biscuit. I prefer their regular gravy than their mushroom gravy so, I recommended my friend ask for the gravies on the side. Indeed, like me, she also preferred the regular gravy. The coffee was 👍 Service was ok.

I’m a total sucker for biscuits and gravy, and this place did not disappoint. I went with the mushroom gravy and it was insanely good…rich, flavorful, and comforting in all the right ways. We also tried the Sully Fries, which are seasoned waffle fries smothered in gravy (yes, please). I was impressed that the fries stayed crisp under all that goodness. We grabbed the Lola too, which he really liked. We loved everything so much, we actually ordered biscuits and gravy again to take on the plane before our flight home. Zero regrets.

Barolo Grill is an elegant Northern Italian restaurant located in Cherry Creek North, offering a sophisticated ambiance and an extensive wine selection. The restaurant boasts a romantic atmosphere with its classy quarters, lush floral centerpieces, and fine-tuned tasting menus featuring experimental flavors. Since 1992, Barolo Grill has been serving upscale Italian cuisine with charm and sophistication. Had an amazing dinner here. My lady and I went with the 4 course meal and they were all delicious 😋. The staff were all very attentive and kind. Id highly reccomend this spot to anyone who wants a fine dining experience and I will certainly be coming back. This is by far one of my favorite spots to visit when I come to Denver now!

An unforgettable Northern Italian experience! "Phenomenal" is truly the perfect word for the amazing dining experience at Barolo Grill. From the moment you walk through the door, the hosts and service staff offer unparalleled hospitality. The restaurant feels both sophisticated and welcoming, making it the ideal spot for a special occasion or simply a spectacular evening. The food is nothing short of delectable, celebrating the rich flavors of Northern Italian cuisine. While the menu changes with the seasons, you can expect expertly crafted dishes, from delicate pasta creations like the signature Agnolotti dal Plin to the rich, flavor-balanced braised duck. Each plate is a work of art, a symphony of flavor and texture that proves why this Denver icon has been celebrated for decades. But you must save room for dessert, because the cheesecake is truly to die for. This silky, decadent torta di formaggio is drizzled with lavender honey and toasted hazelnuts, creating a subtle yet complex flavor profile that provides the perfect, elevated finish to the meal. The service is what elevates the experience beyond just a meal. The staff is knowledgeable, passionate, and attentive, ensuring every aspect of your dinner is seamless. It's a testament to the restaurant's quality that the entire staff participates in an annual trip to Italy to deepen their understanding of the food and culture, and that passion is evident in their every interaction. Barolo Grill is well worth the price for a truly special night out.

I had an enjoyable evening here, but was left a bit underwhelmed. The cocktails were good, the second course was standout, but everything else left me wanting. The pairings were good, but most sweeter than i expected. The cuisine was a bit flat, although the lamb and beef were perfectly cooked, as was the pasta. The service was generally prompt and professional, with only a few minor misses. The ambiance was busy, appropriately lit, and did have some interesting northern Italian nods.

We couldn't say more positive things about this restaurant, as well as our server Caleb. His attention to detail, especially since I'm pregnant, I felt he went above and beyond. He was incredibly personable, attentive, professional, and felt like a friend. Plus they have wonderful non-alcoholic options I enjoyed. The food. THE FOOD! We chose their 4 course meal and couldn't have been happier. Everything was cooked to perfection: the souffle, the fritto, pillow pasta, risotto, the steak and onions, my mouth is watering just thinking about the selections. The bread, the foccacia bread and olive oil, I could eat 10 of them no problem. No idea why they don't have a michelin star, it is well deserved and we have dined at several michelin star restaurants here in CO and they definitely outperformed some of them. Caleb, thank you for making our random Tuesday dinner incredibly special and a night we won't forget. We will certainly be back.

Overall the food was good! I was surprised by how good the caprese salad was and thought the use of gastronomy was interesting. I loved the cucumber balls of the crab. It was really sweet how they gave us a dessert and drink for our anniversary.

Wonderful, romantic, slow-paced evening during truffle season. We had multiple selections for our 4 course tasting menu ($95) and a choice of white or black truffles shaved tableside. It was our anniversary so we were treated to espresso liqueur and decadent dark chocolate bon bons. Excellent polpa alla spagno (crispy octopus), risotto ai fungi with added truffles, bistecca di manzo (very tender meat), and the torta di formaggio (cheesecake with honey truffle drizzle). Highly recommend for a special occasion, make reservations!

Located in downtown Denver, the Downtown Aquarium is a sprawling complex that offers both entertainment and dining experiences. The main highlight of this attraction is its state-of-the-art aquarium, which houses over 500 species of marine and land creatures within more than a million gallons of underwater exhibits.
The Downtown Aquarium is a fun spot to visit, especially if you’re looking for something unique to do in Denver. The exhibits are well put together, and it’s always fascinating to see such a wide variety of sea life right in the middle of the city. The tunnel with the sharks and the colorful reef displays are definite highlights. That said, it can feel a bit commercialized—there’s a strong emphasis on the restaurant and extra activities, and ticket prices are on the higher side for the amount of time you actually spend walking through the aquarium. It’s also usually pretty crowded, especially on weekends, so I’d recommend going earlier in the day or on a weekday if possible. Overall, it’s an enjoyable experience, especially for families with kids. The sea life is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and it’s a solid option for a Denver outing—just go in knowing it’s more of a fun attraction than a huge, world-class aquarium

Its a great fun place, but it takes like 20 mins to go through the whole thing. So basically spent $1 a min. The tiger was an unexpected surprise and it was not just sleeping. The tanks are FULL of fish and are great, just dont expect to wear your kid out haha. I wish there was a package deal with the children's museum.

Pros: Great indoor activity, elevators, handicap bathroom, wagons allowed, drinks allowed, snack bar with Starbucks, plenty of parking, interactive activities such as touching jellyfish and stingrays. A half day learning adventure great for any age. Cons: the Restroom is downstairs so make sure you use it before going to the second floor, if you have sensitivity to fish smell The Warf smells so walk through quickly, wish there were more signs for each section of fish(like a flip through pamphlet to know which fish are in that specific tank). 8/10 for animal learning activity
Muriah J — Google review
Our visit started off with an unexpected and delightful surprise—a wild animal encounter right at the entrance! My son was thrilled to meet Mr. Porcupine, and it was such a fun start to our day. The fish exhibits were adorable, and the shark displays were particularly impressive. While this aquarium isn’t as large as the one in Atlanta, it offered a wonderful, more intimate experience. The highlight for my son was definitely feeding the stingrays—he loved it! We also got to see the tigers, though they were napping, so we didn’t get the best view of them. We didn’t have the chance to check out the restaurant, but we spent a few enjoyable hours exploring in the morning with our little one. You really don’t need a lot of time to see everything here—it’s a manageable size for a leisurely visit. Parking is convenient, with a lot right across the street, and it’s just $8 for the day.

A better-than-anticipated experience good for all ages. Well designed and a treasure trove of marine life. The entire space can be meandered in and hour or so or you could spend all day. Although beautiful and seemingly content and well cared for it was a bit difficult to see the tigers in this habitat that didn't really fit into the marine setting
Jennifer S — Google review
The Denver Aquarium is such a fantastic experience for all ages! The exhibits are beautifully designed, showcasing an incredible variety of marine life — from colorful tropical fish to sharks, stingrays, and even tigers. Walking through the tunnels and seeing the sea creatures swim all around you is truly magical. It’s not just an aquarium, it feels like an adventure. The interactive areas are perfect for kids, and the mermaid show is a unique touch that makes the visit even more memorable. I also loved the restaurant inside, where you can dine while watching the giant aquarium — such a one-of-a-kind experience. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean and well-maintained, and you can easily spend a few hours exploring without noticing how time flies. Whether you’re visiting Denver with family, friends, or on your own, the aquarium is definitely a must-see attraction!”

I went later in the day at around 6:30 pm, it wasn't packed with people, which I loved. Parking was close to the entrance and we were able to get through the whole thing with the time we had and we got to enjoy the restaurant which was superb! If you get an alcoholic drink with your meal you get to leave with a souvenir glass. I'd say that they need to change a few drinks on the menu but beautiful experience.
Jamiylah N — Google review
A little smaller than I thought but such a cute aquarium! Plenty of open space to weave through the crowds. All of the aquatic animals are beautiful and adorable. We could spend about an hour there and it was so much fun. Definitely recommend buying tickets online since we were able to bypass majority of the lines by purchasing the tickets online on our phones when we got there. Now for my standard comments. This location is clean and well kept.

Elitch Gardens, also known as Elitchs, is a renowned amusement park located in the heart of Denver. With over 125 years of history, this family-friendly destination offers a wide range of attractions for visitors of all ages. From thrilling roller coasters and water slides to interactive shows and KiddieLand attractions, there's something for everyone.
Elitch Gardens is a must for families with kids. The season pass is one of the best investments you can make if your kids love fun, rides, and hanging out with their friends all summer long. It even includes a meal, which makes it an unbeatable deal. This park has become a summer tradition for my kids, and it’s worth every penny. I usually only join them for Fright Fest, and even that’s a blast. If you’re a parent in the Denver area, a season pass to Elitch Gardens is something you won’t regret getting for your kids.

Nice amusement / water park. Unfortunately, lots of people vaping despite the supposed "drug free" park. One lifeguard actually said something, which was really great. Took six kids for a birthday party today and they all had a really great time at both parts of the park. Definitely get there early... we got there at 945 (opens at 1030). So if you want to set up a base without renting a cabana, you can get chairs together in the shade. Food expensive, but not outrageous for an amusement park.

Went to Elitch for Chicken Fight. Dozens of local restaurants featuring their take on chicken dishes. Also beer and liquor tents so 21+ (no kids). It was a nice night out most of the big rides were operating too.

I have been to this park about at least 50 times since its my home park and I have been going each year and some years I would go 10 times a year. Its fun with your friends and the rides are okay, yes they are rough besides there boomerang but there is always one ride/roller coaster that is down but its whatever at least we can ride some coasters. The people who come to the park are horrible though. Every time I go some group of teens are always vaping in line, wearing ski masks, sagging to there knees etc. There is always a fight to. Just last week I saw someone being beaten to the floor out of nowhere. So I would probably bring your kids on a weekday. But I personal never had any problems with the staff besides teens working there hating there job but were never rude to me. But anyways I think its a decent park, NOT the best but its something and it has cool views seeing the mountains and the skyline of Denver. Btw, If you wanna save money just get a season pass for like $69 bucks or something around there and you get free parking and bring 2 people in with you for free too, and you can go trough out the year as many times as you want like even fright fest (haunted houses not included) which was probably one of the worse haunted house I have every been trough. You have to pay like around $200 for 3 people just to wait in line for an hour while the wanna be gangster teenagers are cutting you. I went with 2 friends and once we finally got inside it was horrible. Just tarp walls and pool noodles, cheap stuff like that. I run a home haunt at my house and the people who I was with said they would rather go to my home haunted house and wait a couple of minutes for free btw instead of eliches haunted house. While we were halfway trough something happened and the emergency alarm went off so we all had to exit and had to wait another 15 minutes just to finish the haunted house, but we had to wait in the "VIP" line which took about 10 minutes of us waiting. The fright fest was cool with the actors and props out but I do NOT recommend the "haunted houses" Anyways its an okay park........ Id give it a 3.5 star or a 4 for just the only big amusement park till slat lake city.

Overall, Elitch Gardens is a pretty fun place and a decent way to spend the day — as long as it’s not too crowded. However, what really brings the rating down is the absolutely terrible experience when it comes to food. The food itself is low quality, the selection is extremely limited, and the lines to order are unbelievably long. Some of the rides also suffer from very slow and inefficient operations. It often feels like they only have one person working, and they move at a snail’s pace when loading and unloading passengers. Specific rides like the Ferris Wheel and the Spider Ride take much longer than they should. The park itself is also quite outdated and run down, and it’s clear that it’s overdue for modernization and upgrades. That said, the rides are still enjoyable once you’re on them, and the overall value is decent — but the park would be so much better with improved food service, faster operations, and some much-needed updates.

We went on a Thursday, just after opening. We waited in line about 10 mins to get in. Most rides had 5-10 lines, so had almost no wait. Rides were fun but it's small, not as many rides for adults/thrill seekers as larger parks. The kiddie area is nice with 6 or so kid friendly rides & play area. Restrooms were worn but clean. Food was decent for park food. I think we paid $17 for a burger & fries. They also had rice bowls which was nice. Water park was nice, it had at least 7 big water slides, wave pool, lazy river & kids play/spray area. We went to the counter & asked to rent tubes for the lazy river, paid & found out they are provided. I wish they would have said that when I asked. They provide life jackets for babies & kids. The water park was crowded and water slide lines were about 20-30 mins. Overall it was fun for younger kids but not a place I would go to again unless we lived close by.

It was a good time . Just sucked rides were closed . It was our family's first time. It would have been nice to be able to experience all the rides. Other than that it was cool my kids had fun. It can get pretty expensive $$$$$$$.

I love Elitch Gardens and all the stuff they offer. I would give this a 5 star rating for everything else in the park, however, the staff are so rude and should be trained more properly. I got yelled at by an employee many times during my visit today. I rudely got yelled at by the security for trying to enter after I left to use the bathroom, I understand that I couldn't enter after leaving because it's a policy, but the way they told me to leave was so rude. These security staff are so rude and should be more polite next time. However I do have some favorite ride operators who are actually polite like Jose. This is the reason I give this 3 stars. Please tell the staff to be more polite to visitors for what they can and can't do. Thank you! Edit: Today during my visit wasn't a good visit. I now rate this 2 stars because I was getting food from the food court, when all of a sudden, a worker came up to me telling me that my card declined. It wasn't a big deal and I got back to "pay it", however, when I checked my recent purchases, it said that I paid it 2 times. I would love to get my money back and for Elitch Gardens to fix the machines, I'm sorry for my immature response but I'm pretty pissed off from this. Thanks Elitch Gardens for taking my money.

The 16th Street Mall in Denver is a mile-long pedestrian promenade that serves as the spine connecting downtown attractions. It features over 40 outdoor cafes, shops, and entertainment options. The mall starts at Union Station and ends at the Colorado State Capitol, with highlights including the Denver Performing Arts Complex, Larimer Square, and the Denver Pavilions shopping and dining complex.
Went to the 16th street rival, it was a lot of fun. There is still sketchy people but there was a big police presence and security guards.

If you visit Denver, Colorado, visit the 16th Street Mall. There are different food options to choose from, and you can take a nice walk.
Shabira K — Google review
This was disappointing. I am a big supporter of pedestrianized streets and place making but this feels like it has failed to live up to it's potential. The center of the wide street is left open, possibly reserved for buses, though we never saw any. While some very nice and cute seating and other features have been created on the sidewalks the failure to utilize the majority of the street leaves it feeling a bit barren. Also the stores along the street are often chains like H&M & Target and not the mix of interesting smaller local shops you'll find on Boulder's Pearl Street or Linden St. in Ft. Collins. Still worth checking out after visiting the Capitol or the great History & Art Museums on the other side of the park as there seems to be some decent dining options, including outdoor dining, but it could be so much more.

16th Street was ok. It’s a Friday and overcast so not much people out. But if you like to drink alcohol there’s plenty of places for that. Good place to take walk.

This is a lovely place to spend a day. I enjoyed all the boutique shops, the restaurants, and even passed through a few places just to people watch for a while. Quite the gatherings here on weekends. But you can visit any day of the week and I guarantee you’ll have a good time. Check out the bowling alley for extra fun.

Denver’s 16th Street Mall is a 1.7-mile pedestrian corridor in downtown, offering shopping, dining, and entertainment. The free shuttle makes getting around easy, and nearby attractions include the Central Library and Paramount Theatre. Renovations have improved the area, though visitors should be mindful of occasional safety concerns.

A little history here before I begin my review. In the 1990s the 16th Street Mall was a hub for social interactions and shopping galore. Many who lived in the Downtown area would enjoy the peace and serenity of the 16th Street Mall at night. The 16th Street Mall has been rebuild and redesign twice now in Denver's history. With that said. Unfortunately, when Colorado legalized marijuana in the 2000s is when the 16th Street Mall became a liability to those that went there. Gangs, homeless drug addicts, and crime increased and many clean and sober hard working taxpayers didn't feel safe unless they were carrying a side arm for protection. One couldn't escape the smell of marijuana that enveloped the Mall from all the smoking done there. Many businesses closed up as a result of less foot traffic meaning customers were far and few. Even tourist dared not travel the Mall at night. From news reports in 2025 that I have read about the rebuild of the 16th Street Mall now just 16th Street. The Mall part was dropped under a $100k ad blitz. My wife and I had to move from Denver to Minnesota in 2019, but do remember the 16th Street Mall of old before marijuana legalization.
Steven B — Google review
Denver hates people actually spending time at this mall. Most of the parking is max 2 hours which is maybe just enough time for a dinner and they WILL give you a parking ticket once it's 1+ minute overdue. I don't know why I keep making efforts to visit downtown just to get tickets when I'm literally 10 minutes late to my car.

Located on the pedestrian shopping area along central 16th Street, this Denver establishment offers a diverse menu featuring favorites like salmon, pizzas, and smoked chicken enchiladas.
Best pretzel I have ever had, same gies for their garlic fries. This place is great! Feels like other places have used some bots to boost their reviews, stayed in Denver for whole week, and this was the best place to have beer and some food. Kyle the waiter provided great service, and informed us about hidden happy hour!! Must visit for sure!

I came here just for beer, did not eat. When I arrived the outside area was packed but it was pretty much empty inside. I sat at the bar and asked about a flight. They don’t do flights but the have $4 tasters do you can “make your own flight” with tasters. The bartender wasn’t very welcoming, nor did he seem like he wanted to be there. He did get me what I asked for but that was all the interaction despite me being one of three people at the bar. The bar area is just okay. It’s a bit dark in there and nothing special. The beer was also just okay. I liked 3 of the four I ordered but they weren’t anything to write home about. I’d say it was a very average experience. Location couldn’t be better for visitors though. Location is 10/10.

We’re from out of town and were happy to stumble upon Rock Bottom Brewery while strolling downtown Denver, especially since they had chicken and fries on the menu for my picky daughter. I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but we actually had a really good experience. I really enjoyed my club sandwich, and my husband liked his burger. My daughter ate all of her chicken and fries and even finished with a kids’ sundae, so that’s a win! The only downside was the cherry limeade cocktail. It didn’t seem to have much alcohol and wasn’t very flavorful. Overall, though, the atmosphere was nice, the service was friendly, and it was a great spot for a relaxed family meal downtown.

The beer was alright. I expected more choices for on tap. The liquid sunshine tasted exactly as described. Barvarian pretzel and beer cheese was tasty but it seemed like it sat in a window for a while since the cheese was starting to get cold by the time it got to me. It was not busy and I had hoped for better service. When the server was around she was very friendly but would disappear for 15 minutes at a time. For a little afternoon snack it was an ok experience.

Excellent experience at Rock Bottom Brewery! The service was outstanding—my bartender was friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The place was spotless, with a relaxed and welcoming vibe. I tried three brews: American Dream, Red Rocks Ale, and Czechmate—all solid choices, but the Czechmate was definitely my favorite. Great spot for good beer and even better service. I’ll definitely be coming back! 🍻

This was a new experience for me! The restaurant was a lot bigger than I expected and our waitress was very accommodating at the start but that faded through out the visit by not checking on us and our order took longer than expected. The trip to the restroom was an experience that I have never had ever!! It makes a porta-potty smell good! The smell of urine was unbelievably strong and would almost gag you. I have a hard time believing that the restaurant staff wouldn’t done something to find out what was happening and fix that! That is unacceptable for a restaurant health department standpoint!!

Steak house
Guard and Grace is a modern steakhouse located in Denver, offering a variety of chops, small plates, and fine wines in a spacious setting with a raw bar and patio. Renowned chef Troy Guard showcases his culinary expertise by focusing on high-quality beef dishes while also featuring seafood options like oysters, crab legs, and lobsters. The restaurant's elegant interior includes a striking glass-enclosed wine cellar boasting an extensive selection of over 4,000 bottles.
Came here last Sunday to celebrate our birthdays and had such a wonderful night! We were running a bit late but called ahead, they were super accommodating, and our round table was ready when we arrived. Our server Jonathon was amazing! so friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. We loved his appetizer recommendations (potstickers and crab cakes were both delicious). For mains, we had ribeyes and filets with scallops, a pork chop, and a filet with crab meat that was loaded with crab. Every bite was perfect. The sides: broccolini, Brussels sprouts, and their signature fried rice, were outstanding (seriously the best fried rice we’ve ever had!). The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, and the acoustics are so well done that you can actually hear your table talk. We did get a little surprise with a 5% culinary charge, but the next day the general manager, Brandon, called to apologize and explain. That kind of follow-up really impressed us. We told him to keep the refund and give it to Jonathon instead. Great food, great service, and overall a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back every time we’re in Denver!

I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant, where I visited for my first time last night. I first called to find out about payment options before attempting to book a reservation for the evening, and the hostess was very kind and accomodating in getting me setup with an ideal table for one and told me they would have a spot ready for me whenever I arrived. While waiting to be seated I took notice to the amazing ambience of the restaurant. After being seated, I then was introduced to my waitress, Jessenia, who from start to finish was extremely pleasant and provided some of the most outstanding service I’ve ever had in a restaurant, along with the rest of the wait staff who were wonderful, friendly and attentive to all of my needs as well as being great conversationalists. Each course was well spaced out as I had tried a variety of options, and I can say that the cocktails from the bartenders I had were well balanced. The plates these expert chefs prepared from the bread to dessert was phenomenal in presentation and preparation of the utmost quality, every bite was truly delectable. The wait staff as a team genuinely made me feel like a rockstar!!!! They were on point at every moment and didn’t miss a beat. I am extremely grateful and impressed with my experience from everyone I had met and the overall service that was provided throughout my visit to Guard and Grace to wrap up my last evening visiting in Denver, CO for this trip, and I will certainly recommend this gem to friends, family and anyone so they can share the same exceptional experience that I had received. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made reservations a month in advance as I was coming to Denver for my first time. This place did not disappoint and exceeded my expectations. The moment we walked in it was a chill vibe from the staff. The atmosphere inside was amazing, all the staff took care to make sure they never got in your way when you were walking and were super helpful. Our server made sure we always had everything we needed. Top shelf food and service but didn't feel like it was a super formal place. I had the filet flight and was amazing. My first trip to a Michelin rated place and it was amazing.

This place did not disappoint! We made reservations for my best friend’s birthday and immediately appreciated the ambiance as soon as we entered through the door. The hosts are friendly. The atmosphere is inviting as well as diverse. I ordered the salmon dish while my friends ordered steaks with a side of whipped potatoes and broccolini. Everything was cooked to perfection! The triple chocolate chip cookies were a nice way to end the night! I will forever come here whenever I visit Denver.

My husband chose Guard and Grace To celebrate my 60th birthday. When we arrived at the restaurant, even the hostess wished me a happy birthday and sat us at our table. Our waiter greeted us and asked us if we were celebrating anything special and I commented, yes, it’s my birthday celebration. We started off with the Caesar salad, which was absolutely amazing and we each had the French onion soup. Probably the best I’ve ever had. I had the prime cut filet mignon and my husband had the prime cut New York. Both were absolutely to die for. Just a warning that the side dishes are really for four people not just two, there was way too much whipped potatoes for us to finish so we had to take it home. After asking if we wanted a dessert, we decided that we would take a pass and the waiters attitude seemed to have changed at that point to rushing us out the door and he immediately went and got the bill and handed it to my husband. While I was in the restroom, my husband called the waiter over and said don’t you do anything for my wife’s birthday? And the waiter said well yeah I guess we could bring her out a little something. What do you want me to write on the plate? My husband said ummm how about happy birthday?!?! He thought that was so unusual and was really disappointed that there was really no recognition of my birthday whatsoever even after asking me why we were there in the first place and he was told it was my birthday. The waiter definitely dropped the ball. What should’ve been a special evening turned into a sour note and this was a big birthday my 60th! Overall the food was outstanding, but it is very, very noisy inside so very hard to have a conversation and not somewhere to go for a romantic dinner. I’m not a fan of the open kitchen concept because of all the noise and I think something got burnt in the kitchen because there was a ton of smoke that poured out into the dining area. That’s why I’m only giving this restaurant three stars. Great food but we probably won’t be back. We should’ve read all the one and two star reviews before eating here. I see that other people were not acknowledged for their anniversary our birthday’s either. I can’t understand why such an expensive restaurant would literally go out of their way not to make someone’s night special. My husband should’ve never of had to ask Especially when it was noted in our reservation and the hostess greeted us so warmly.

First time at this wonderful restaurant. Valet was definitely worth it for $20 on such a busy Tuesday night. The food was incredible! I love how you could get a bit of both filet and fish. One of the best filets and Black Cod I have ever tasted. Thankfully my company was paying as it was pricey. Sides came family style and were excellent. Had potato, brussels, and carrots. Dessert menu looked divine, but I was too full from dinner. Brought home triple chocolate chip cookies which are smaller than anticipated, but packed full of chocolately goodness. My husband ate all 6 in one sitting. Overall, service was superb-Shout out to Steven our server and the valet last night was on his game!

You simply can't get better than Guard and Grace in Colorado. Not only does the menu go beyond the typical fine-dining steakhouse fare, but it's above and beyond with Chef Troy's Hawaiian flair. Food aside, your dining experience will be over-the-top because of the staff. The Guard and Grace staff is a masterclass in service industry and food and beverage hospitality. Don't just go for special occasions, their happy hour is also incredible. If you've been holding off on visiting, don't. Yes, the food is spectacular, but your experience will be unforgettable!

An absolute fantastic steak restaurant. I hope you get Alex as your server (a sommelier in training), he was amazing - engaging, helpful, and made the evening. Following his recommendations made everything easy and delicious. The food was as phenomenal as I went in expecting. The octopus starter was a revelation, and the filet flight was just a fun way to enjoy all of the steak options. Good luck saving room for dessert, but their dessert wines are worth perusing, and if you do have room you should try the cookies.

It has been frequented by famous figures like Neal Cassady and has maintained its charm through the years. The bar is now owned by a longtime employee and her family who are dedicated to preserving its legacy. Despite not having any TVs, the bar plays classical music and serves up delicious burgers wrapped in parchment paper with a variety of condiments.
I've only visited My Brother's Bar one time during a work trip to Denver, but it was fantastic! The service was great, the burger was the best burger I've had in a LONG time and the beer selection was on point. I walked in and sat right at the bar and there was a group of regulars sitting there chatting it up and they invited me into the conversation and it just felt really welcoming. I'd love to come back and eat here again when I'm back in Denver. Not at all surprised it's still around after all these years!

The atmosphere is nice inside and outside. On the inside, there is a bar and multiple tables. A large window to the outside. It feels comfortable. On the outside, it's shaded and there are a few tables. Bathroom is clean. The food is delicious, the burgers specifically. Cooked a perfect medium, or medium rare. The greens are fresh. The basic burger is under $10, which is impressive and rare. Especially for the taste. The service is where this restaurant lacks. We ordered different burgers. I wanted mine without bacon, and my friend wanted his with. We got the reverse. Our waiter was sassy a bit, and I thought maybe that's just his style. It turned out worse, when he called the cook who seemed to only speak Spanish, he kept saying bacon si. We all felt uncomfortable with that behavior, a lack of attempt to communicate or respect. That's how he treats the cooks in front of us, no idea how when we're not there. I'd come back for the food, if I felt the service has changed.

Love this place! The burgers are delicious and worth the drive. My favorite is the jalapeño cream cheese. You must try. Fries and onions rings are just as good. Have to get the sport tea it's delicious . The only thing that has changed is the service. It's hit and miss. Servers can be amazing and some really rude. If you're heading to or coming from a game or nea4 downtown, it's worth stopping in. It's kid friendly and has a good kids menu. Overall, it's a great place to eat. 4 stars because of the service.

No frills, just good food (cheeseburgers). Advertised as Denver’s oldest bar. Very nice establishment with deliciously tasty cheeseburgers! Definitely recommend this establishment to anyone who likes tasty burgers. 🍔 That’s being a winner baby!!!👏👏👏

This was most excellent little place to stumble upon! It was absolutely darling. The vibe was on point. The food was outstanding! My friend and I just enjoyed some appetizers and drinks .The little potato skins were delightful the dressing that was served with them was my absolute favorite part of the whole thing be honest. However, we also ordered the honey feta dip with the crostinis. Also absolutely delightful. We had the elote corn dip which was okay. Not bad in any way, just the other two stood out so much harder that I had eaten too much by the time I got to the elote dip..... I also got a Caesar salad to go. The dressing was the best Caesar dressing I've ever come across. I love that it had potato chips on it. It was the perfect amount of crunch.. the entire theme was just out of this world. I loved the disco balls and all the foliage outside. It even had like fake grass that you were hanging out on. It was the most on point experience that I could have tried to offer my friend who was visiting me from a small town. I felt like I really showed her around by taking her to this lovely location!!!

I don’t usually write long reviews, but our experience at My Brother’s Bar in Denver absolutely deserves one — especially after how incredibly they treated us during a really special occasion. We came in to celebrate my best friend’s 35th birthday, and this year was particularly meaningful because he’s paralyzed and doesn’t always feel comfortable going out to new places. But from the moment we walked in, everything just felt right. First and foremost, a massive shoutout to our server Miguel — hands down one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Miguel was kind, attentive, and thoughtful in ways that went beyond just being a good server. He made sure my friend was comfortable, helped us find seating that worked for his wheelchair without making a big deal of it, and constantly checked in with a great attitude and genuine care. You can’t teach that kind of hospitality — it’s just who Miguel is, and it made all the difference. The vibe at My Brother’s Bar is one-of-a-kind. It’s the kind of place with real character — nothing fake or trendy, just good energy, welcoming people, and a laid-back environment that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time. The history on the walls, the deep wood decor, and the old-school feel make it feel like a piece of Denver you never want to let go of. We sat inside and then hung out on the patio for a while, and both had their own charm. Now let’s talk food: unreal. I ordered the JCB (Jalapeño Cream Cheese Burger) and it was out of this world — juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked, and just the right amount of heat. The condiment tray they bring to every table is such a fun touch — it lets you totally customize your burger and makes the meal feel even more personal. The onion rings were crispy perfection, and the beer was cold and refreshing — everything we hoped for. Miguel had some killer suggestions that ended up being our favorites of the night. But what really stuck with me — and my friend — was how comfortable the experience was. It’s not always easy finding a place that’s both wheelchair-accessible and genuinely welcoming, but My Brother’s Bar nailed it. No awkwardness, no stares, just great service and great vibes. For my friend to say it was one of the best birthdays he’s had in a long time? That meant everything. So if you’re in Denver — whether you’re a local or just passing through — do yourself a favor and stop in at My Brother’s Bar. Ask for Miguel if you can. Come hungry, bring friends, and expect to leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. We’ll definitely be back. 💯

Its our first time in Colorado, we drove from Minneapolis, MN. This was our very first stop and we were craving burgers. The food was delicious, and our bartender Chris K was awesome!! Definitely a great spot!
