Modern art museum
The Denver Art Museum, known as the DAM by locals, consists of two buildings. The second building was designed by architect Daniel Libeskind and showcases Western and regional art. The museum is an encyclopedic institution that features various types of art to promote understanding and creativity. It hosts esteemed traveling exhibitions, such as the recent showcase of Frida Kahlo's work and the Dior: From Paris to the World exhibition.
It was a really great experience. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I’m not an artist so I really enjoyed having the Bloomberg Connects app. Paintings with a little red tag had a number you could look up and hear/read a little snippet about the work and the artist. I loved that, a much more involved experience for me. The works were displayed beautifully and being able to visit another building via a connecting bridge was fun and convenient. They even had an artist in house sculpting and you could watch his process as he worked. I definitely want to visit again but give myself more time because there was so much to see!

Visiting the Denver Art Museum was a wonderful experience. It has been more than 20 years since we were here, and it's changed a lot. The experience was fabulous. From the Western and Indigenous art to treasures from Asia and Latin America, to Alaskan art, as well as classic European and American art, it's all there! We're so glad we had time to visit this outstanding institution, and we highly recommend it.
Dawn M — Google review
Attended the Camille Pissarro exhibit. We liked works from Monet so we assumed we would like these as well. We did!! Also enjoyed learning about the artist Ticket counter only had 2 people. Glad we pre bought ours so we were able to avoid that line. Included a few pics. Well worth the visit!

The Denver Art Museum was an absolute highlight of my trip. I planned to spend about two hours there but got so absorbed that I stayed for over four. The collections are impressive and diverse, ranging from Native American art to contemporary pieces. The building itself is architecturally striking, adding to the experience. The museum is well-organized, with clear signage and friendly staff. It’s a perfect place to explore art in depth, and I highly recommend setting aside plenty of time to really enjoy it. The only reason I left was because I had other plans that day.

I’ve been to art museums around the world and this was one of my favorites! The architecture is the star, with interesting angles and nooks that create distinct viewing areas. Wander through without a set agenda and you will be delighted. There are numerous places to pause and sit, allowing you to appreciate the space and have time for reflection. I especially enjoyed the Susan Wick, Sarah Sze, and The Tangled Self temporary exhibitions. Special note - visit the women’s bathroom at the Sturm grand pavilion for the singing sinks!
Julie R — Google review
A beautifully curated museum with amazing pieces of art from various cultures and ethnicities. A wonderful experience in a well-designed space that enriches the soul. Every piece of artwork evokes emotion and captivates the eyes. Definitely a must see, do not miss one of the best museums in the world!
Yusuf J — Google review
Very fine collection of art from classical to modern; furniture design to sculptures and totem poles. The building, inside and out, makes for an interesting visit with odd angles and non vertical walls. Admission is reasonable. One could easily spend 4-5 hours here.
Simon R — Google review
The Denver Art Museum is a wonderful place to spend a few hours immersed in creativity, culture, and history. The museum features a diverse range of exhibitions, from timeless classics and historical artifacts to bold, thought-provoking modern and contemporary pieces. Each gallery is thoughtfully curated, offering something for every type of art lover. One of the standout features is the museum’s architecture itself: striking, modern, and visually captivating. The building is a piece of art in its own right and enhances the overall experience from the moment you arrive. Inside, the layout is spacious and welcoming, allowing visitors to explore comfortably at their own pace. The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to answer questions or offer insight into the exhibits. Whether you’re interested in Western American art, ancient cultures, or modern art, the Denver Art Museum delivers a rich and engaging experience that’s both educational and inspiring.

Larimer Square, located in Denver's Lower Downtown district, is a historic area where the city was founded. This vibrant spot is home to independent shops, bars, restaurants, and boutiques. The street is adorned with signature string lights and features buildings dating back to the 1850s. It offers a mix of modern city life and historical charm. Just north of Union Station lies Five Points, known for its rich history as the focal point of Denver's African American community.
A historic Denver landmark thats extremely walkable and filled with shops, restaurants and a lively atmosphere. A cute and beautiful square with unique selections. A great spot to enjoy coffee and local stalls during the weekends, definitely recommend!

Larimer Square is absolutely charming — a must-visit when in Denver! The historic buildings, twinkling string lights, and vibrant atmosphere make it feel magical both day and night. It’s the perfect place to stroll, shop at unique boutiques, or enjoy a meal at one of the many great restaurants and cafes. The mix of history and modern energy gives it such a special character. Whether you’re visiting Denver for the first time or have lived here for years, Larimer Square always has something to offer. ✨🏙️
Gee C — Google review
Really pretty area. It's nice to walk through it and bounce store to store. The building exterior has a historic look (brick, painted wood) and there are cafe string lights hanging overhead. Great atmosphere and lots of fun and interesting stores. Really nice restaurants as well.
Chris L — Google review
There’s old buildings, built into modern day restaurants and businesses. This was a fun street, dressed in the Colorado flag. It hosted multiple local jewelry makers, clothing brands, someone who was selling vintage maps of the world, a record seller, and it even had its own DJ that encouraged people to buy local. It was a poppin’ evening down Larimer Square.
Meg G — Google review
Came here on a weekday daytime so it wasn't as lively as I wish it to be. It's a closed-off/pedestrianized street, not very long but it looks like a decent place to hang out, with cafe, restaurants and some stores. Walking distance from nearby car park, Union Station and University of Colorado. Makes for a good walk around the neighborhood.

We love larimer square. We came the weekend before Halloween and it was very fun and festive with a lot of people dressed up. We ate at a delicious restaurant and then went to a few bars after. Overall good experience and would recommend for a night out
Michael D — Google review
Wanted to visit this spot since I saw this on Top Chef. Honestly it’s only one block that decorated beautifully. The one block is blocked off and It’s lined with a variety of retailers and restaurants. That’s where we enjoyed experiencing Rioja. Which I highly recommend. It’s a cute block that you can find small tables that are placed in the street from each eatery and enjoy the delicious food. I have no updated photos.
Ny B — Google review
Larimer Square is a charming little historic block with lots of character. It’s small but packed with unique shops, restaurants, and old school charm. I visited in late April and it was snowing! Definitely didn’t expect that, and I wish the weather had been better, but it was still worth the stroll. Would love to come back on a sunny day and take it all in properly.

Denver Botanic Gardens is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and art lovers alike. The gardens are home to a horticultural library with rare books and seed catalogs, making it a paradise for plant aficionados. Situated in the Cheesman Park neighborhood, this public botanical garden offers various theme gardens, a glass-enclosed conservatory, and an enchanting sunken amphitheater that hosts open-air concerts during the summer.
Beautiful place for an all day exploration. If you're looking for a peaceful day in nature to explore a variety of plant species, Botanical Gardens is the one. There are indoor and outdoor options along with areas for a variety of events. The Gardens is very kid friendly. Visit them during a plant sale for free entry and reasonably priced plant sales! Dont forget to go inside and check out their art exhibits!!

We visited the Denver Botanic Gardens with the whole family on Sunday at 11 a.m. The day was lovely with nice, quite warm weather. There were no spots in the outdoor parking lot, so we waited a little for someone to leave. The autumn garden deserves special attention. The atmosphere is very peaceful and calming. It reminds us of our native home. The beautiful scents of flowers and autumn leaves, in harmony with the smell of moisture from the local ponds and fountains, truly delight the heart. Some parts of the garden are closed due to ongoing work for Halloween preparations. We were very happy to have the opportunity to grab a quick bite at the local bistro. We really enjoyed their Hive Burgers. I recommend visiting the Botanic Gardens in all seasons. It is always beautiful in its own unique way.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A True Urban Oasis - Stunning Architecture and Vibrant Gardens! The Denver Botanic Gardens is an absolute must-visit! My recent trip was fantastic, and I was especially impressed by the way the Gardens blend natural beauty with thoughtful, modern design. The Science Pyramid is a major highlight—the hexagonal, honeycomb exterior is a striking piece of architecture (as seen in the photos!) that beautifully introduces the concepts of biomimicry and conservation science. It's truly eye-catching and creates a wonderful focal point for the campus. Beyond the architecture, the gardens themselves are a vibrant escape. From the rich green textures of the tropical conservatory (like the beautiful palms and ferns in the images) to the colorful outdoor beds, everything is meticulously maintained. The variety is outstanding, making it easy to spend hours wandering through different biomes. Whether you're a serious botanist or just looking for a peaceful, beautiful afternoon, this place delivers. Don't miss the chance to explore the different water features and the varied foliage! Highly recommend it.
Yusuf J — Google review
Beautiful place to walk around and be outside. During the holidays nighttime is the best time to walk around. They decorate with lights and everything. Food is reasonably priced but the breakfast food is the best. During the busiest times the parking garage fills up and that makes parking difficult. Parking is free.
Michael C — Google review
Dropped by for an hour to just stroll and enjoy the warm sun. Fall is a transition time for the gardens, so they don't have a lot of blooms or growth going on, but the do a great job a maintaining the grounds. Christmas lights there are really great, spring is amazing for obvious reasons. Annual memberships aren't much more than a couple visits and they give you the freedom of dropping by whenever you want.
Matt H — Google review
We stopped by for a mid-day visit with no knowledge of the "Glow in the Gardens" evening event. What a pleasant surprise to see all of the elaborate Halloween decorations. Lots of pumpkins, pumpkin sculptures, and other creative decorations. Even during the day without the lights turned on the whole place was a delight to see.
Evan K — Google review
Oct 2025 Last visit about 8 years ago and very happy about the addition of more dining options. As this visit was near Halloween, the garden was showing this theme all over . The area is misleading as it is actually bigger than it seems. Walking around to really visit each area would probably take at least 2 hours. I loved the Japanese Garden best before but, was disappointed that it is but a shell of what it was. It now seems an afterthought, and 1 can easily miss it. One thing worth mentioning is the pebbled walk in the Japanese garden. I felt slipping on it was highly possible. Although it was just a small walkway, still be aware. As it is fall, the blooms were not at its finest but, I am sure, it's beautiful in the spring. Love the many benches scattered all over where 1 can take a rest. 👍 After this return visit, will definitely be back. Etc: Parking is tricky. If your visit is on one of those busy days, you could end up driving around the neighborhood looking for parking. We arrived a little before 11am on a weekday, and, drove around 10 mins to finally park about 3 blocks away. Also, be sure to check their website for daily closures. Depending on the season, the Gardens have numerous events that they close early.
Chichi G — Google review
Lots of fun plants, seasonal herb gardens and huge collections of tropical climate plants in the greenhouses. Worth at least 2-3 trips, so much to see you can't see it all in one day. I'll definitely be back to check out more!

Nestled within the picturesque City Park, the Denver Zoo is a captivating destination that spans 80 acres and showcases over 4,000 animals from around 600 species. Established in 1896 with an orphaned black bear cub named Billy Ryan, this beloved attraction has evolved into a vibrant hub for wildlife enthusiasts. Visitors can explore diverse habitats designed to mimic natural environments, including Bear Mountain and Predator Ridge, where majestic lions and hyenas roam freely.
The Denver Zoo is one of the most beautiful zoos I’ve ever visited! 🐅🦒 The grounds are clean, spacious, and full of life, with animals that look healthy and well cared for. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed, making it easy to enjoy every habitat while learning something new. From the majestic lions to the playful monkeys, every corner brings a new surprise. It’s perfect for families, couples, or solo explorers. Truly a gem in Denver and a must-see attraction!

This was our first family trip to the zoo. We enjoyed ourselves. Lots of animals to see. We caught the elephant show so that was pretty cool. The zoo was clean and stroller friendly. It was nice that they had family restrooms. Parking was free and the parking deck allowed us to park in the shade so the car didn't get too hot. Overall we had a great experience.
MsKrayola — Google review
Was a cool place! Very large and a lot of animals! This is actually the first zoo I've visited that had Hyenas, so that thoroughly pleased me! They had this awesome Lorikeet section where it is possible to feed them and they can fly on you but you cannot touch them, which I understand. The Primates area was pretty cool got to see Gorillas up close, some orangutans, I'm not too sure about the Mandrill section but they seemed sad, plus there was a sign saying they've been expressing strange behaviors. OOHHH and they had an area with an Eye eye that was neat. The zoo is actually so large, it was difficult to navigate around even with a map, but not a negative. They just closed a bit early for my liking. They closed at 4 and we were only about... 75% through the park? Also a bit of construction going on. Oh and another awesome thing was all the squirrels and Rabbits roaming all around the park

🦁 5-Star Experience at the Denver Zoo! What an absolutely fantastic day at the Denver Zoo! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, setting the tone for a truly enjoyable visit. The zoo itself is beautifully maintained, and it's clear how much care goes into the animal habitats. We were especially impressed by the variety and visibility of the animals. Well I was there. The animal was visibly happy, which I loved. The exhibits are designed wonderfully, making it easy to observe the animals in settings that feel natural and spacious. It's a wonderful place for both kids and adults to connect with wildlife and learn more about conservation. I highly recommend the Denver Zoo for a day of fun, education, and inspiration. It's a must-visit Denver attraction and a true asset to the city. I can't wait to go back!

The Denver Zoo is absolutely amazing! 🐘 Every visit feels like a new adventure. The exhibits are beautifully designed, the animals look well cared for, and the staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. My son’s favorite part is seeing the elephants - he could stand there for hours watching them! 🥰 It’s such a wonderful place for families, and we love how clean, shaded, and easy to explore it is. There’s always something exciting going on, whether it’s a special event or just a sunny day surrounded by wildlife. As a Johnstown real estate agent, I’m always telling families how special it is to have places like this right here in the heart of Denver, Colorado. The zoo is a perfect mix of education, conservation, and fun - definitely a must-visit for locals and visitors alike! 🦁🌿

We have gone to the zoo twice this month for Boo at the zoo. The first night was great fun. The lights everywhere were amazing. The second night there were some lights but they were mostly turned off. That was disappointing. But, we had a great family and friends outing. The first night not being able to see the animals in the dark was a bummer. The second night we went earlier and we were able to see some of the animals. The seals are my favorite. Since they would only let us go one way around the zoo we didn't get to see any of the seals, penguins etc.
Gran E — Google review
Always an enjoyable way to spend a morning. The only bummer was the Tigers, we walked by that enclosure during their nap time. Otherwise we were able to view a lot of active wild things. Since I'm a shutterbug when I'm at the zoo, I've shared a few nicely framed shots I took. Don't forget the sunscreen, wear comfortable shoes, and stay hydrated. They offer strollers, manual wheelchairs, and electric scooters for rent. Our group needed an electric scooter, it was $25. We felt that was quite reasonable.

Came here on the afternoon of the Sunday 2nd November 2025 on my Denver Trip. Admission to get into this place is $26 (£20). This zoo is great. There are so many animals to see it is easy to get lost. I picked a good day for it too as it 80F today! (27C) Sadly some of the animals were hiding, but I was happy to see animals such as the Gorilla, Giraffe, Elephant, Komodo Dragon, Rhino, Flamingo, and so much more. Worth visiting!

Coors Field is a 76-acre stadium in Denver, home to the Colorado Rockies. Some seats offer views of the Rocky Mountains, adding to the allure of this iconic ballpark. The stadium provides a nostalgic feel of a classic ballpark while incorporating state-of-the-art technology. Visitors can take 'Behind the Seams' tours for a behind-the-scenes look at one of Major League Baseball's premier ballparks.
Love this place! Went too the Rockies game Friday Night with some friends and we had an awesome time! We parked lot B and got a bus shuttle that took us to the entrance and they were awesome people and friendly too! And got into the game easy and no problem! Their were so much food spots to choose from , so we end up getting random food that cost us $75 and didn’t finish it all . We finally try the Rockies Dog! Very good and enjoyed that! So after the game we got back on the shuttle bus and took us to our parking it was easy! Well can’t wait too be back for another game!

No water fountains that i saw.Disabled parking fills more than an hour before game starts.Very well organized and courteous people.$23 parking and easy to get out in first 15 Minutes.Bus to transport inside parking but there is a line. One side of stadium be third baseline had shadow whole The rest was baking hot.No long bathroom lines! Very expensive beer $11-15.Ne careful what seats you buy. Disabled people have personal assistants and for those using a walker is very difficult cu hold on to bars when descending on stairs because of wrong spacing of bars. Please Avoid the stairs if you have a cane.

The park was clean and comfortable. All seats provided excellent viewing. Multiple vendors offered a variety of services and prices that were reasonable. I would highly recommend this park of you love baseball.

Coors Field is one of the best ballparks around! The atmosphere is always incredible - from the mountain views to the energy of the crowd, it’s such a fun experience whether you’re a big baseball fan or just there for a great day out. The stadium is clean, the staff is friendly, and the food and drink options never disappoint. As a local real estate agent in Northern Colorado, I love spending time here with family and clients - it’s a perfect example of what makes living in Colorado so enjoyable. If you’re in the Denver area, catching a game at Coors Field is an absolute must! ⚾️🌄

Very nice atmosphere and the baseball stadium was perfect too have a concert at, no drinks are allowed taking in or food, have to buy their. If wearing a purse, I will suggest a fanny pack, not easy to loose, plus always bring a sweater or something light long sleeves to wear, so you can actually enjoy the concert, like we did.
Chyrstal M — Google review
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amazing park. Amazing experience. ⚾️🍺 This time we actually picked one of the games the Rockies managed to win this year 🎉 (rare, I know). I’ve been a lifelong Rockies fan, but let’s be honest… they suck right now 😅. Honestly wish someone else would buy the team and run it better. But the experience of Coors Field? Always amazing. The energy, the mountain views 🏔️, the atmosphere, and just being there… it’s unbeatable. Even when the team struggles, the park itself makes it worth it every single time.

We went to The Warning Track for a work party and had a great time. Only downside was that it was 100F outside so naturally it was very warm. The bartender had a great attitude as did the bouncer. Food was constantly replenished and was pretty good for stadium catering. There were 2 bathrooms within the room so we didn’t need to go in and out. We had a good time!

Plenty of nice seats when team is at the bottom. Beautiful stadium. Food prices are a bit pricey but there was a 2 for 1 hot dog special. Buy your parking online. I scored parking by the stadium for $8 online. Parking lot attendant not pleased when he wanted $45!

The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is a captivating destination that invites visitors to delve into the wonders of natural history and science. This museum serves as an educational haven, showcasing over one million artifacts that span various fields such as anthropology, paleontology, geology, zoology, health, and space science. With engaging exhibits like the Discovery Zone for kids and fascinating displays on Egyptian mummies and North American Indian culture, there's something for everyone to explore.
This is one of Denver's few places that gets a five star review. This place is an awesome experience. I've visited several times with my kids during school field trips, but if you're able to come without children its even better. The amount of nature and science that is being displayed is astronomical. From the big bang to space exploration, microorganisms to the expansion of space and matter. There is something for everyone from toddlers to seniors. General admission is $25 adults children $20 and they regularly have free days.

Great place. They are having a great exhibition. It’s really impressive. I loved it. You feel welcomed, all the staff members are really polite. This museum it’s perfect for educational purposes and entertainment. I loved Angkor: The Lost Empire Of Cambodia exhibition, it’s included on the admission ticket to the museum. I really enjoyed my time there. If you are visiting Denver you should check it out this amazing place.

I've been going to this museum for as long as I can remember. I invested in a Young Professional membership and it was one of the best investments of my adult life. The museum is always changing, adapting, innovating and educating. There are new exhibits throughout each year. They offer adult only evenings with cocktails, interactive education opportunities, small bites, music and fun. They offer different programs and lectures for all ages and interests. This museum is hands down one of the best in the nation. I visit at least once a month, often more due to new and exiting lectures and events. DMNS is a can't miss far and above. Oh...and the salad bar in the food area is killer.

We really enjoyed our visit here. There were areas of interest for each member of the family. The kids loved the dinosaurs, space stuff, and lifelike dioramas. Hubby enjoyed the fossils and history. I really loved the minerals and gems. Can’t wait to go back!

I love this museum! They currently have an elephant exhibit that is wonderful!! The planetarium was super cool and just 5 or 6 dollars!! They have a gem collection that is out of this world!! The food is also great! A huge slice of pizza is $5. It was a great day!!!

My husband brought me here as a birthday surprise. I have a love for dinosaurs, so this was a perfect experience for us. I loved seeing all of the different ones they had and the areas where they are working on actual fossils. I also loved the geology area with all of the rocks and gems.

Absolutely a must-see in Denver. The exhibits are captivating - or at least the few that I saw are. It's quite big and is definitely worth the cost. The absolute best thing is to go the terrace on the 4th floor and look out over the city and the mountains in the back. It's truly a stunning view that I absolutely need to see again!

Very nice museum. Most exhibits have bilingual signs in English & Spanish (very nice!). Very nice dioramas. Cool tie-ins to local geology and paleontology. Favorite areas: Gems and Dinosaurs. The Space exhibit is very kid-friendly. Several optional "extra fee" experiences also available.

The Colorado State Capitol, a grand Corinthian-style building with a striking gold dome, stands proudly at an elevation of 1 mile above sea level. Designed by architect Elijah E. Myers and opened in 1894, it mirrors the style of the United States Capitol. This historic landmark is adorned with rare Colorado rose onyx marble and features stained glass windows depicting the state's civic history. It houses the General Assembly, governor's office, and lieutenant governor's office.
The Colorado State Capitol is a true gem, steeped in a rich and captivating history that dates back long before it became a state in 1876. This magnificent building, with its stunning Beulah Rose Onyx walls and Colorado Granite and Marble, stands as a testament to the state's remarkable past. The Capitol's architecture is simply breathtaking, with every detail meticulously crafted to transport visitors back in time. As you step inside, you can almost feel the weight of history pressing against the walls, inviting you to uncover the countless stories that have unfolded within these hallowed halls. The Ute Indian and Southern Ute Indian history is intricately woven throughout the building, reminding us of the indigenous peoples who once called this land home. The state flag, with its striking representation of the sky, snow, rocks, and sun, serves as a vibrant symbol of Colorado's natural beauty and cultural heritage. The government's annual session from January to May adds a dynamic energy to the Capitol, as lawmakers gather to shape the state's future. The Hall of Presidents, with its impressive collection of portraits, offers a glimpse into the political leaders who have guided Colorado's journey. While the temporary removal of the 45th and 47th Presidents' portraits may have sparked some curiosity, it only serves to highlight the Capitol's commitment to preserving its rich history and honoring the diverse perspectives that have shaped the state. Visiting the Colorado State Capitol is a truly immersive experience, where you can feel the weight of history and the pulse of the present intertwine. Whether you're a history buff, an architecture enthusiast, or simply someone seeking to deepen your understanding of this remarkable state, a visit to the Capitol is a must-add to your Denver itinerary. As I reluctantly depart this impressive landmark, I'm left with a profound sense of appreciation for the enduring legacy of Colorado. Though my journey has come to an end, the memories and lessons I've gained will forever enrich my understanding of this great state. The Colorado State Capitol is a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to explore the depth and diversity of this remarkable place.

All tours of Denver should start here. We arrived and were allowed to join a tour that had already started which was nice. The tour moved along at a good pace. My main comments are: 1. The guides should dress in a uniform as the women did in the 1950s, in the state flag colors. It would make it more special. 2. Mr. Brown's Attic, a large long room with poster boards on the walls telling the history, before one goes up to the dome, but which anyone can walk up to even if not on a tour, has great info, and we read every word, and spent maybe 30 minutes in this. 3. They should colorize the B&W photos as I did here with one. 4. They should redo the photo on the dome veranda looking west, which is old and faded, and have lines pointing out differences from then and now. It is poor that they can't allocate money to this. We were there from 12:30 until 2 p.m., but took lots of time. You can see everything without being on a tour, except going up in the dome, but if you are in Mr. Brown's Attic, from where a door goes to the stairs to the dome, you could probably ask a tourguide to tag along and he would say yes.

⭐️ Colorado State Capitol – Denver, CO Spent an afternoon exploring the area around the Colorado State Capitol and really enjoyed it! 🏛️ The building itself is stunning — clean, well-maintained, and full of historic character. Unfortunately, it was closed to visitors that day, but walking around was still worth it. There’s plenty to see nearby — art statues, fountains, shops, restaurants, and bars all within walking distance. 🍽️🛍️ The area feels safe and organized, with visible security presence that gives peace of mind. 🚓 Parking is metered on surrounding streets, usually easy to find if you’re patient. Highly recommend stopping by for great photos, history, and architecture — especially if you’re exploring downtown Denver! 📸🌤️

They offer free 1-hour tours starting at 10 am. If you're into US history and inspired architecture, this is a worthwhile tour. They talk a lot about the different branches of capitol: senate, house, executive. When I went, the legislative process was in session, so I got so see legislature convene to consider bills. The tour also gives you access to the golden dome at the top which gives you a 360-view.

Hello Denver! What a majestic place you are. Here, bright sunshine often gives way to sweet, short rain showers, creating a dynamic sky. Historic buildings stand proudly alongside modern architecture, and art splashes color everywhere you look. It's a truly beautiful, clean city with refreshing air quality, and the lush green of the abundant trees is a sight to behold. Denver is an absolute must-see, even if it's just for a once-in-a-lifetime visit.

Free to enter and visit, good place for kids to understand the government structure and how it works. The museum in the top is great and has lots of educational information. There is also a tour to go up to the dome, but needs to reserve in advance although it's free. A very typical state capitol in US and worth to visit.

Elitch Gardens, also known as Elitchs, is a renowned amusement park located in the heart of Denver. With over 125 years of history, this family-friendly destination offers a wide range of attractions for visitors of all ages. From thrilling roller coasters and water slides to interactive shows and KiddieLand attractions, there's something for everyone.
Elitch Gardens is a must for families with kids. The season pass is one of the best investments you can make if your kids love fun, rides, and hanging out with their friends all summer long. It even includes a meal, which makes it an unbeatable deal. This park has become a summer tradition for my kids, and it’s worth every penny. I usually only join them for Fright Fest, and even that’s a blast. If you’re a parent in the Denver area, a season pass to Elitch Gardens is something you won’t regret getting for your kids.

Nice amusement / water park. Unfortunately, lots of people vaping despite the supposed "drug free" park. One lifeguard actually said something, which was really great. Took six kids for a birthday party today and they all had a really great time at both parts of the park. Definitely get there early... we got there at 945 (opens at 1030). So if you want to set up a base without renting a cabana, you can get chairs together in the shade. Food expensive, but not outrageous for an amusement park.

Went to Elitch for Chicken Fight. Dozens of local restaurants featuring their take on chicken dishes. Also beer and liquor tents so 21+ (no kids). It was a nice night out most of the big rides were operating too.

I have been to this park about at least 50 times since its my home park and I have been going each year and some years I would go 10 times a year. Its fun with your friends and the rides are okay, yes they are rough besides there boomerang but there is always one ride/roller coaster that is down but its whatever at least we can ride some coasters. The people who come to the park are horrible though. Every time I go some group of teens are always vaping in line, wearing ski masks, sagging to there knees etc. There is always a fight to. Just last week I saw someone being beaten to the floor out of nowhere. So I would probably bring your kids on a weekday. But I personal never had any problems with the staff besides teens working there hating there job but were never rude to me. But anyways I think its a decent park, NOT the best but its something and it has cool views seeing the mountains and the skyline of Denver. Btw, If you wanna save money just get a season pass for like $69 bucks or something around there and you get free parking and bring 2 people in with you for free too, and you can go trough out the year as many times as you want like even fright fest (haunted houses not included) which was probably one of the worse haunted house I have every been trough. You have to pay like around $200 for 3 people just to wait in line for an hour while the wanna be gangster teenagers are cutting you. I went with 2 friends and once we finally got inside it was horrible. Just tarp walls and pool noodles, cheap stuff like that. I run a home haunt at my house and the people who I was with said they would rather go to my home haunted house and wait a couple of minutes for free btw instead of eliches haunted house. While we were halfway trough something happened and the emergency alarm went off so we all had to exit and had to wait another 15 minutes just to finish the haunted house, but we had to wait in the "VIP" line which took about 10 minutes of us waiting. The fright fest was cool with the actors and props out but I do NOT recommend the "haunted houses" Anyways its an okay park........ Id give it a 3.5 star or a 4 for just the only big amusement park till slat lake city.

Overall, Elitch Gardens is a pretty fun place and a decent way to spend the day — as long as it’s not too crowded. However, what really brings the rating down is the absolutely terrible experience when it comes to food. The food itself is low quality, the selection is extremely limited, and the lines to order are unbelievably long. Some of the rides also suffer from very slow and inefficient operations. It often feels like they only have one person working, and they move at a snail’s pace when loading and unloading passengers. Specific rides like the Ferris Wheel and the Spider Ride take much longer than they should. The park itself is also quite outdated and run down, and it’s clear that it’s overdue for modernization and upgrades. That said, the rides are still enjoyable once you’re on them, and the overall value is decent — but the park would be so much better with improved food service, faster operations, and some much-needed updates.
David S — Google review
We went on a Thursday, just after opening. We waited in line about 10 mins to get in. Most rides had 5-10 lines, so had almost no wait. Rides were fun but it's small, not as many rides for adults/thrill seekers as larger parks. The kiddie area is nice with 6 or so kid friendly rides & play area. Restrooms were worn but clean. Food was decent for park food. I think we paid $17 for a burger & fries. They also had rice bowls which was nice. Water park was nice, it had at least 7 big water slides, wave pool, lazy river & kids play/spray area. We went to the counter & asked to rent tubes for the lazy river, paid & found out they are provided. I wish they would have said that when I asked. They provide life jackets for babies & kids. The water park was crowded and water slide lines were about 20-30 mins. Overall it was fun for younger kids but not a place I would go to again unless we lived close by.
Crystal R — Google review
Everyone is so friendly, my kids and their friends have so much fun! I'd love to get a promotion or discount since we buy food every day we go, and it's expensive to pay for seven people, but we love spending the whole day there. We love Elitch.

Located in the Golden Triangle Creative District of Denver, the Clyfford Still Museum is a minimalist space dedicated to showcasing the large-scale paintings and archives of Abstract Expressionist artist Clyfford Still. The museum offers visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in Still's provocative works, characterized by giant canvases, bold colors, and deliberate brush strokes. As a post-World War II abstract expressionist, Still's art touches on universal themes such as creation, life, struggle, and death.
I went on a weekday just after noon. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and shown how to purchase our tickets at the kiosk. We were given information about how to view the museum and continued in. They have a really cool timeline to go through on the first level and then up the stairs are the works of art. They are beautifully displayed, and the space and lighting are perfect. I appreciated the fold out chairs you could take along through the museum. They also have an activity room for creativity that anyone can use. I felt very welcomed and accommodated. Kids of all ages are welcome. I recommend and will be returning soon! Parking: we paid to park at a lot for 5 dollars around the corner (2 hr limit) Cost: I am a student so my cost was $5 Area: a few other art museums (its very close to the Denver art museum), restaurants and little shops.

A hidden gem and an absolute must-visit in Denver for art lovers. The Clyfford Still Museum offers a rare and deeply personal glimpse into the life and work of one of the most important figures in modern American art. As the only museum dedicated entirely to Clyfford Still, it provides a truly unique experience that you won’t find anywhere else. The museum itself is a masterpiece of architectural design: clean, minimalist, and purposefully constructed to complement and elevate Still’s bold, emotionally charged paintings. The layout is thoughtful and intimate, allowing visitors to engage with the artwork without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. The collection is beautifully curated, showcasing Still’s artistic evolution, from early representational works to his groundbreaking abstract expressionist pieces. Each gallery tells a story, offering context and insight into the artist’s philosophy, technique, and vision. The staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable, eager to answer questions and provide deeper background on Still’s work and legacy. Their passion for the art truly enhanced the visit.
Wassim A — Google review
This is one of my favorite spaces on the planet. The art is stunning and thought provoking. To have 93% of Still’s work in one place allows the viewer to begin to understand his modern Impressionism. It’s a wonderful experience every time I go.
John M — Google review
This museum is fantastic! Such knowledgeable guides and a wealth of information and experience about Clifford Still; a father of abstract expressionism. They house over 95% of his lifetime of work and regularly change exhibits so that you can always go back to see more of his paintings. Such a wonderful experience. To eat, you must go outside even if you’ve packed your own food. No water allowed inside exhibit halls unless carefully stowed away (and not removed). You can’t get a sense of the enormity of what he did from photos alone. You must visit in person. The architecture was also a lovely experience. Make sure you get the brochure about that too. Enjoy!
Jena R — Google review
My friend and I were just using library passes so we didn’t pay for a tour, but it might have helped us understand Still’s life and work better. The artwork was large and stimulating. There’s a small gift shop area in the front. Wish it had some magnets/stickers with the name of the museum on them. There are some quirky magnets and stickers but I’d love some more basic ones with the museum’s name. Street parking could be found.

I had no idea this had been here for so long. I love the way the museum is set up, and you kind of go through the art as he did. It's a gorgeous building, parking was easy, and it's gigantic inside. I think they had a little toddler art class going on while my husband and I were there which was extremely cute.
Kayla L — Google review
I recommend taking a guided tour of this museum, so much fascinating history behind Still. The building on itself is beautiful, even though it's a relatively small museum you can spend hours in each room. Staff is always friendly, easy to find street parking.
Andrea F — Google review
The guy was a narcissistic megalomaniac and not even from Denver - they just gave money and a space to house the museum (as were his postmortem wishes). It’s very telling when even the museum *staff* struggle to find kind words about him - ha! Having said that, he was a prodigious producer of art and the building is a very impressive piece of architecture. I’m glad we went and we won’t be back.

The rooftop was the coolest part of it. The architecture of the building was cool as someone else commented and it has A.C. which was really cool! I didn't think there were that many exhibits and what constitutes as art nowadays blows me away. I saw broken glass, water, air, and a dirty napkin on display. It's worth checking out I suppose. You should read the description of the exhibits. They say they change the exhibits every so often so I'll probably go back.

Stopped in while on a layover. Nice that they have lockers to store your stuff while you peruse the artwork. I came during the Suki Seokyeong Kang exhibition. I finished within an hour and had a nice cocktail on the rooftop. I would come for the $5 after 5 since that seems like the best value for what's on offer. Rooftop cafe has games and food and drinks!

It surrounds the confluence of Cherry Creek and the South Platte River and features biking and walking trails, grassy lawns with benches, and a kayak run on the eastern side of the river. The park also includes picnic spots, fishing lakes, a swimming area, fitness course, modern restrooms, and hosts free concerts during summer evenings.

The had one of their concerts at the park with local bands And radio dj . Need more vendors for food and drinks more often, especially hot days, and when there are no concerts during weekdays . Please! I love the rapid water bowls to tube down. careful for the undertow and I feel they should expand tubing area make river tube friendly for atleast a half to mile long downstream. And maybe add a playground and a fenced dog park next to water for dog , ball fetching. I enjoy this park allot

Located in downtown Denver, the Downtown Aquarium is a sprawling complex that offers both entertainment and dining experiences. The main highlight of this attraction is its state-of-the-art aquarium, which houses over 500 species of marine and land creatures within more than a million gallons of underwater exhibits.
The Downtown Aquarium is a fun spot to visit, especially if you’re looking for something unique to do in Denver. The exhibits are well put together, and it’s always fascinating to see such a wide variety of sea life right in the middle of the city. The tunnel with the sharks and the colorful reef displays are definite highlights. That said, it can feel a bit commercialized—there’s a strong emphasis on the restaurant and extra activities, and ticket prices are on the higher side for the amount of time you actually spend walking through the aquarium. It’s also usually pretty crowded, especially on weekends, so I’d recommend going earlier in the day or on a weekday if possible. Overall, it’s an enjoyable experience, especially for families with kids. The sea life is beautiful, the staff are friendly, and it’s a solid option for a Denver outing—just go in knowing it’s more of a fun attraction than a huge, world-class aquarium

Its a great fun place, but it takes like 20 mins to go through the whole thing. So basically spent $1 a min. The tiger was an unexpected surprise and it was not just sleeping. The tanks are FULL of fish and are great, just dont expect to wear your kid out haha. I wish there was a package deal with the children's museum.

Pros: Great indoor activity, elevators, handicap bathroom, wagons allowed, drinks allowed, snack bar with Starbucks, plenty of parking, interactive activities such as touching jellyfish and stingrays. A half day learning adventure great for any age. Cons: the Restroom is downstairs so make sure you use it before going to the second floor, if you have sensitivity to fish smell The Warf smells so walk through quickly, wish there were more signs for each section of fish(like a flip through pamphlet to know which fish are in that specific tank). 8/10 for animal learning activity
Muriah J — Google review
Our visit started off with an unexpected and delightful surprise—a wild animal encounter right at the entrance! My son was thrilled to meet Mr. Porcupine, and it was such a fun start to our day. The fish exhibits were adorable, and the shark displays were particularly impressive. While this aquarium isn’t as large as the one in Atlanta, it offered a wonderful, more intimate experience. The highlight for my son was definitely feeding the stingrays—he loved it! We also got to see the tigers, though they were napping, so we didn’t get the best view of them. We didn’t have the chance to check out the restaurant, but we spent a few enjoyable hours exploring in the morning with our little one. You really don’t need a lot of time to see everything here—it’s a manageable size for a leisurely visit. Parking is convenient, with a lot right across the street, and it’s just $8 for the day.

The Denver Aquarium is such a fantastic experience for all ages! The exhibits are beautifully designed, showcasing an incredible variety of marine life — from colorful tropical fish to sharks, stingrays, and even tigers. Walking through the tunnels and seeing the sea creatures swim all around you is truly magical. It’s not just an aquarium, it feels like an adventure. The interactive areas are perfect for kids, and the mermaid show is a unique touch that makes the visit even more memorable. I also loved the restaurant inside, where you can dine while watching the giant aquarium — such a one-of-a-kind experience. The staff is friendly, the facility is clean and well-maintained, and you can easily spend a few hours exploring without noticing how time flies. Whether you’re visiting Denver with family, friends, or on your own, the aquarium is definitely a must-see attraction!”

Stopped in while on family vacation in the area as an aquarium is always fun and was not disappointed! There was a fair amount to see, plenty of space for the crowd of the day even mid summer, and the place was extremely well maintained. Was a bit surprised they had a tiger exhibit but the tigers were also surprised people where in their home and decided to just stay in bed. I would visit again if we were in the area and if we lived in the area would certainly have a membership for the family.
Patrick M — Google review
A little smaller than I thought but such a cute aquarium! Plenty of open space to weave through the crowds. All of the aquatic animals are beautiful and adorable. We could spend about an hour there and it was so much fun. Definitely recommend buying tickets online since we were able to bypass majority of the lines by purchasing the tickets online on our phones when we got there. Now for my standard comments. This location is clean and well kept.
Christine L — Google review
It was a nice experience. Crowded, but not oppressively so. I especially liked its proximity to the freeway. Parking was fairly inexpensive. The fish and other animals were cool and seemed well taken care of. I probably won't go there again, but that's mostly because I'm just not a fan of driving in Denver. If you've never been here, I think it's worth checking out at least once. The price pretty fair.

Located in the Golden Triangle Creative District of Denver, the History Colorado Center is an interactive museum that offers a deep dive into the state's rich history. The eco-friendly building houses four floors of captivating exhibits that showcase Colorado's story through interactive displays and artifacts. Visitors can explore the enduring connection of the Ute people to Colorado, learn about Chicano activists' fight against discrimination in the 1960s and 1970s, and marvel at a detailed miniature depiction of Denver in 1860.
We went for the 90s exhibit(there until September). Had no idea this place was even here! The 90s was obviously very cool, but also lots of Colorsdo history as that's the general focus. Plan to spend some time here if you want to read everything. Very decent entry price and anyone under 18 is free!

Fun for the whole family. Air conditioning. Quiet spaces. Open spaces. History Colorado galore. I love it here. There is a diverse, multicultural and more feel here. From exhibits, artifacts, photography and artwork, Colorado history comes alive. I seriously plead for you to visit. You'll be glad you did. Support local museums. This is right in the city.

This turned out to be a really great museum and I strongly recommend a visit. The Sandy Creek exhibit was very powerful and a gut punch, especially once you read the letters of Federal officers who refused to participate and documented in detail the atrocities. The exhibits on Ute, Arapaho & Cheyenne peoples were written from the perspective of and curated by the native people and shared vibrant cultures and history. The exhibits on silver mining (recommend closing the sliding gates and experiencing the mine "elevator" as you enter this exhibit), Japanese internment (take a moment to sit in the cabin), a Black-American holiday resort and Colorado, especially Denver's, evolution and development were also fascinating.
Peter B — Google review
Really enjoyed my time here. Exhibits are well thought out and incredibly informative. I learned a lot and saw some dope artifacts. My favorite exhibit was the one about the Sandy Creek Massacre. Absolutely gut-wrenching to read the perspectives from both soldiers and survivors. I'm happy the museum does such a good job of representing what happened.

The 90s exhibit was great, but could have been so much more. The 90s things in the gift shop were not good at all. But these are all typical complaints for all museums. So over all a good experience.

We came to visit the UA 629 presentation in the three glass exhibits next to the 2nd floor elevator. The exhibit captures the aircraft bombing near Denver, and respectfully honors the victims of that tragic, fatal flight, caused by a criminal's bomb intended to kill his mother. We also saw a piece of that plane in the "100 Object" exhibit on the 3rd floor.

Took my 13 & 15 yr old. Interesting museum and loved the 1990s exhibit. Learned things I did not know in the traditional history areas, which is pretty amazing given all the museums I have visited. Had no idea about drought & dust storms, and the grasshoppers & jackrabbits severely affecting crops and farm life. And, Colorado previously had a Chinatown. 18 and are free. Adults are only $15.

I recently visited the History Colorado Center and spent some time in their “The 90s: Last Decade Before the Future” exhibit. The exhibit strikes a perfect balance between fun throwbacks and thoughtful storytelling. Highly recommend it if you want to relive the 1990s or show the next generation what life was like before smartphones.

We love going to the theater whether it's a musical or not. The only thing that does bother me is when someone is singing along with the show. Whether it's behind me in front of me or next to me, it is annoying.

No matter which venue you are coming down here to see, each one is great. My family and I have never had a bad experience in any of them. We've seen several different types of shows down here everything from watching the symphony to seeing Anthony Boudain. Each theater setting is great. It's beautiful down here and there is always plenty of parking. You can also find some place to eat nearby. There are so many choices.

I absolutely love this complex in Denver. Many different theater options and sizes and great shows from Broadway, traveling and as well as local. Highly recommend seeing a show here. Plenty of lodging and dining options nearby if you don’t want to drive home. Love that you can order your intermission drinks in the beginning and they get waiting for you at the bar at the beginning of intermission. Staff throughout are top notch and friendly. Picture is from the play Shucked which was very good and funny.

The Molly Brown House Museum in downtown Denver is a beautifully restored 1889 mansion that once belonged to the famous Titanic survivor, Margaret "Molly" Brown. The house showcases Victorian-era furnishings and art, offering visitors a glimpse into the life of this prominent socialite and philanthropist. Saved from demolition, the stately mansion is a blend of Queen Anne and Richardsonian Romanesque styles designed by architect William A. Lang.
Take the guided tour. It is so worth it. The house is stunning inside and out. Everyone who works here is knowledgeable, fun to talk to, personable, and makes the experience educational, entertaining. The tour helps clear up some facts about Margaret Brown that were distorted over time. The Titanic exhibition is packed with information. Allow about 2 hours for a thorough visit. Take some time to browse the gift shop. It has so many unusual items and even a historic, original artifact on display.
Annette W — Google review
What a great museum, our tour guide Anna was fabulous. Her high energy got us even more stoked and in the mood. It was pretty mind blowing to me that Margaret did so many other things in her life, and everyone of them were just as notable as her trip on the Titanic. Their gift shop has tons of well priced merch which makes it easy to buy a trinket or 6. I highly recommend this guided tour, just know it is HOT inside. Take a fan.
Michael S — Google review
The employees are fantastic- kind, knowledgeable, really helpful. It’s a beautiful house, full of interesting artifacts and information. Molly Brown was amazing. She was probably great before surviving the Titanic, but going through the house you can really get the sense that she felt a responsibility as a survivor to live a big life and do some good and help others. I did the self-guided tour, but you can also do a guided tour.

A Must-See Piece of History! I visited the Molly Brown House Museum today with my dad, and it was such a wonderful experience! He bought us tickets for the self-guided tour, and we were amazed by how beautiful the home is and how much there is to see and learn. The exhibits and artifacts—especially those connected to the Titanic—were fascinating. The house itself is full of character and history, and the staff do a great job preserving that atmosphere. I even found out that Molly Brown and I share the same birthday, which made it even more special! Don’t forget to check out the cute gift shop behind the museum before you leave. Highly recommend this stop for anyone who loves Colorado history or inspiring stories of resilience.
Colorado R — Google review
We joined a guided tour by Katelyn. She was very knowledgeable about Margaret Brown, fielding questions well. The house itself has few personal possessions of hers, but many informative posters on her life. Particular attention is given to the Titanic disaster that she survived. She was an amazing individual!
Anthony E — Google review
This visit was so wonderful! The house is so beautifully maintained and the guided tour was actually fantastic. Really loved all the details about which items actually belonged to Margaret Brown and about how much restoration went into all of this

Great historic house tour! The guide did a great job of explaining home details and contextualizing this home, its celebrity owner and their times into the social and economic history of Denver. All three of us enjoyed the many moments and artifacts found here. It’s great for anyone interested in American history, mining industry, local history and obviously, the Titanic.

The museum showcases Amelia Earhart's 1923 Kissel Gold Bug and the Forney Locomotive among other notable pieces.
I remember going to the old location where the big REI is off I-25 when I was quite a bit younger. This location is quite a bit smaller but better curated and maintained. Very friendly staff and great displays. Not a railroad person but I very much enjoyed the big boy train and the video alongside that shows how a steam engine actually works. Spent more than 4 hours in there and can't wait to go back. A definite must-see even if you just feel like walking around for an hour or so

Incredible museum!!! I had so much fun exploring here, the exhibit is so well curated and it was so cool to see all the old trains up close and learn about their history. There’s also a huge selection of old cars and bikes and carriages and planes, truly something for everyone. Highly highly recommend!

Forney Museum is a great place to see beautiful and unusual cars. There’s also the added bonus of some history on individual cars, manufacturers and the industry. There’s train, plane, motorcycle and bicycle displays in addition to the great cars. There’s lots of information on all transportation and it’s very interesting. Overall, it’s very much worth the price of admission. Plan on a couple hours to walk through and read the information to get all you can from the experience.

Ok museum but you can't get close to really see the cars. A majority of the cars are a collection of Ford Thunderbirds. They do have the railroad stuff set up even a little better than the railroad museum. You can't walk through any of the railroad cars though. You can see a steam locomotive from right behind where the engineer s operate it. They have the dinning car set up from the Rio grade. All in all its a good place to walk through.
Michael C — Google review
Get a free access today due to the Memorial day. But I wouldn't mind paying $16 for the fee. A lot of cars, traina that you can walk through, and the model train is so impressive! Don't miss it. I would recommend to visit here if you have 1 -1.30 hr.

Meow Wolf Denver | Convergence Station offers a surreal and interactive art experience created by 300 artists, including over 110 from Colorado. The exhibit spans four floors and features bizarre sculptures, interactive rooms, and a captivating story arc. Visitors can explore hidden catacomb passageways, trash-strewn cityscapes, alien bodegas, and more while uncovering Easter eggs about Denver culture and history. The exhibit addresses important topics such as accessibility and Indigenous rights.
This was by far the best experience I had while visiting Denver. If you love weird art, this is paradise. Seeing the work of so many different artists melded into one seamless environment is amazing to behold. The storyline in the extended experience was a bit too dense for me to fully comprehend, but the art is so good it makes up for it. My favorite parts are the tiny windows located in many walls where artists have put together miniature scenes using figurines. It’s like glimpsing into dozens of tiny worlds embedded in the larger one. My only complaint is that some of the exhibits appeared to be broken - particularly the room full of pinball machines. Despite that, there’s enough content to make it worth your while even with its flaws.
Justin N — Google review
Really cool experience like no other that I can describe! I’m sure the artists who designed the place truly enjoyed it. It’s an out of this world experience. The bathrooms were clean, there is a little concession stand and a bit bigger cafe on the first floor. The entry fee was reasonable. Plan to spend about 2 hours (maybe a little more) to see everything without a rush.

Fantastic Art Exhibits for a Family Weekend! We had a great time visiting Meow Wolf Denver's Convergence Station as part of our weekend getaway! This place is an absolute wonder of immersive art exhibits and installations. The scale and creativity of the different "worlds" are truly incredible. Our older child had a blast interacting with the pieces and exploring all the vibrant, imaginative spaces. Our younger child, who is 2 years old, found it a bit overwhelming and didn't engage with the exhibits as much, which is understandable. We will definitely bring them back when they're a little older to fully appreciate the artistry! I strongly recommend buying your tickets in advance! Highly recommend for an unforgettable, mind-bending art experience for the whole family! Also, their employees treated my family with respect and welcoming and not being selected.
Quan Q — Google review
I really wanted to love this — the art itself is wild, immersive, and super creative. But the whole draw here is the interactive puzzle experience, and way too many of the interactive elements just… didn’t work. It kind of kills the vibe when you spend time trying to solve things only to realize the tech isn’t responding. If you’re going just to walk through and look at the art, you’ll probably enjoy it. But if you're expecting a fully functional interactive mystery, save your money — the concept is amazing, the execution was not.
Mar T — Google review
Definitely worth the ticket cost ($46). We spent 3 hours in here super cool art really fun story's. World building was impressive and so were the characters. All sorts of cool rooms and themes. The only down side was there was an extra cost of an add-on (Q-pass) it adds an extra layer of emerison. Regardless it was cool and fun experience.

I had an awesome time visiting Meow Wolf! I honestly didn’t know what to expect when visiting this place but it was like visiting another universe! Atfirst you think, "$50 per person?! That's a lot! Idk if it's worth it." Then you get in and it's 1000% worth it! This place is AMAZING!! SO MUCH work went into this and it shows! The art is wild, the thought process is incredible and the use of garbage is fantastic! I feel like I contributed to saving the planet just by going! And the secret doors that never end are SO FUN!!

Visiting from Houston and my husband and I truly enjoyed our experience at Meow Wolf!! We came here on a late Saturday night and there was plenty of parking. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly security staff and another staff member who led us to the elevator. The exhibits are trippy. Have a childlike heart when you come here, ready to explore. It was really fun to explore the different rooms / exhibits. Using the app was very helpful in understanding which room you were standing in and what cool things or clues you can find in the room. I wish the app had a map that way you can find exhibits more quickly. We wandered around quite a bit. There are no directions or instruction guides in the rooms so download the app. I will say, I would be a little lost if my husband didnt explain what we were doing. The puzzles are tricky and while we are pretty smart people (IMO), we did not get to solve everything. We were so close!! We were there for about 2.5 hours. Towards the end of the evening, you may see more adults and there are alcoholic beverages so be advised. If you are bringing kids, I would suggest ages 12 and older and explain to them you might see some odd and unique art exhibits. There are emergency stairs and elevators. You may also see security walking around for safety. There are water fountains and bathrooms available and easily accessible. The bathrooms were clean. Wear comfortable shoes because you will walk a lot! I would come back to try and finish the puzzles. Great experience!!

Established in 1972, it occupies a 12-acre site within the Denver Performing Arts Complex and features 10 performance spaces with capacities ranging from 185 to 2,880 seats. As the largest tenant of the complex, it hosts an array of productions throughout the year, including Broadway touring shows and world premieres.
I went here on a school field trip to see Hamilton. This was such a pretty place. It was unfortunate that they didn't accept cash but the show and everything else made up for it. The show was amazing, the area was clean, and the view was magnificent. Would definitely come again.

FUN FACT: Did you know that many theatre’s around the country allow touring productions to paint a mural backstage? Once the mural is painted, the full company signs it. There’s so much beautiful history on the walls backstage! I’ve been touring with Broadway shows for 16+ years - it’s always a treat to revisit murals from my past, and catch up with awesome locals on the crew!

We attended the Book of Mormon (sat in front row) and during the second act were pulled out of the theater by staff who accused us of being belligerent and smoking marijuana. Although we were doing neither of these things, we were still taken out of the performance, interrogated, and embarrassed. We were told that two different parties had accused us of acting belligerent but previous to us being removed from our seats, we were unaware of any accusations. At one point the staff said we were “over-laughing” what does that even mean? (Also, it’s the Book of Mormon…) After a discussion and demonstration that we were coherent and non-belligerent, we were allowed to return back to the venue, however, instructed “not to act in any way that didn’t agree with the rest of the crowd,” and asked to switch seats with one another. The whole situation was completely embarrassing and odd. My friend and I were at our first outing following my friend’s brain tumor surgery, and were in no way acting out of line. (She couldn’t even have 1 drink because of the medication she needed to take.) Following the show, we found the house manager and inquired about filing a formal complaint against the venue for this embarrassment/discrepancy, and were given a generic information card. Needless to say, we are less than impressed with the theater and the way they handled the situation.

I use to be a subscriber and could always find an affordable spot for quick bites. Well those days are long gone. Inside the Helen Bonfis Theatre Arts complex use to have soup and hot sandwiches option. I just paid nearly $50 for a crappy cold sandwich and a glass of cheap wine. I asked if it was independent vendor and the cashier said it was a part of DCPA. What the hell DCPA? $80 for the show ticket, $17 to park and a terrible meal that cost nearly $50. I guess you really don’t care about making theatre affordable and only want to appeal to the wealthy. What do you spend your SCFD fund on. Kinda a Las Vegas move.

My husband and I saw A Christmas Carol on December 22nd at 7pm. It was packed and the show was AMAZING! The cast was just fantastic and the special effects made it kinda scary actually so we were impressed. Of course, you are not attending a public show unless a few people in the audience get confused and think they are the main event...This was the case for us as two teenagers behind us were talking the whole entire show. That did not spoil it though as the show was still a lot of fun and a cup of wine helped the immersion. This was one of those nights where it was in the negatives so it was very cold on our way out. We also had to go to the 7th floor of the parking garage despite getting there 45 minutes early (there are multiple plays going on at once so keep that in mind).

Love this complex even if it’s quite a drive away from Colorado Springs. I usually find parking elsewhere down the street cuz the attached garage is quite pricy. Gorgeous design to the open area complex housing the gateways to many different shows and plays. Gorgeous to walk around outside before your show starts. Many different theaters within the same connected complex. Be sure to check ahead of your trip to see if there are street closures or construction. Give yourself extra time to get settled and not have to rush or be late to your show.

A lot of interesting history and a nod to 9/11 and those firefighters who have served in the area. Kids enjoyed the interactive fire truck and pole.

We had a great time at the museum. Great for all ages with a cute area for kids. Insightful information through the evolution of firefighting.

Very cool collection of all things relating to the fire protection service from the 1800’s through present day! This is a self guided tour so spend as little or as much time as you’d like. Gift shop prices were extremely reasonable.

Very fun and informative! there’s a couple activities for small children, a whole play area for them, and lots of interesting things for them to look at. It’s very cool that it’s in an old firehouse. The woman running the front desk was really great as well! Nice little gift shop was surprisingly reasonable prices. I will definitely be coming back!

Fun, informative and interactive! There is a lot to see and learn at the Firefighters Museum. My son was in a big firefighter/alarms phase and this place was perfect to visit for him. The exhibits are split and marked into some that are just for looking and some that you can touch and play around in! There is a video room where they play a fire safety video which my toddler enjoyed. He enjoyed pretending in the fire truck and there were several different costumes to try on. We got to practice getting out of the house safely and crawling low to the ground. If you have firefighter fans check it out!

Went to see the museum with my boys as teenagers. We love the museum and got to see the truck my boys rode on for their grandfather's funeral. It was so meaningful and wonderful to go back. We miss grandpa dearly and stay connected to his memory, in part, through this museum. The displays are really fantastic, intricate and fascinating. Love to the members who run this place!

Our fire truck lovers could t get enough of it! They have a coloring and play area upstairs and a fire truck you can “drive” down stairs. They also have old engines you can look at along with fire safety video and what not around. It was a very cool, well kept place!

Denver Pavilions, situated in the heart of downtown on the 16th Street Mall, is a bustling shopping destination offering an array of over 40 restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. Visitors can enjoy a diverse range of experiences including Lucky Strike bowling and United Artists theaters with luxurious lounge chairs. The Heart Denver Store showcases the work of more than 135 local artists, making it an ideal spot to find unique Colorado souvenirs while supporting local talent.
Here for food, movies, arcade, pool (when Tarantula pool bar is packed), candy, and H&M. Not much shopping but perfect for a date night. They always change up the block which is always nice. And a beautiful downtown spot for walking around and down town views.

After hearing online about how “rundown” and “full of homeless people” downtown Denver is, I decided during my most recent trip to Colorado to go and see for myself what it was like. I parked in a parking garage and walked around for a few hours. Eventually I ended up here thinking it was 16th Street Mall (apparently they’re separate locations) Contrary to what you’ll hear online, downtown Denver is actually a very nice, lively place. I didn’t see any homeless people in this particular area and felt super safe walking around. This is a really cool, clean little outdoor mall with several small and big name vendors. There’s a souvenir shop and a super slow elevator that takes you to the different levels. I’ve never really seen a mall like this. Super pedestrian friendly streets and walkways with an interesting mixture of modern and older architecture in the surrounding buildings. The closer you get to the capitol building (which is partly visible from the street) the more construction you’ll run into. Apparently, from what I’ve read online, there’s a lot of renovation being done down here in recent years, but they have walkways that take you through the construction areas to the Capitol. Lots of cool restaurants and stores I didn’t have time to check out. You could really spend the entirety of multiple days checking out this area.

One of the basically only malls in Denver’s downtown which for me, honestly isn’t super impresionable yet not terrible. I came here twice. 1st to see what was up and 2nd to get some gifts/souvenirs for family members. I will say, not many stores seem to be open and it’s a pretty empty mall but they do have a great gift/souvenir shop called ‘I Heart Denver’ which I highly recommend. There does seem to be a movie theater on the highest level too. I think it’s such a shame the mall isn’t more active as it has a nice location and layout. If you want to use the restrooms, you gotta buy something first then with the receipt the cashier will give you the code the enter.
Xoom T — Google review
The location is so beautiful, relaxing, and nice! The movie theater is so great and the parking is validated.

What a sad sad shopping center. There's more vacant shops than open store fronts. Don't waste your time if you want to browse, same goes for the 16th Street shops, such a disappointment.

Airport
Denver International Airport is a vast 54-square-mile facility known for its unique tentlike roof that resembles snow-capped mountains. The airport provides easy access to the city of Denver, which offers a wide range of attractions including concert venues, comedy clubs, art museums, botanic gardens, parks, restaurants, breweries and more. Additionally, Denver is close to the Rocky Mountains and boasts a thriving brewery scene and diverse dining options.
**5-Star Layover Experience at Denver International Airport!** I recently had a layover at Denver International Airport (DEN), and I was thoroughly impressed! The airport was incredibly clean, with a bright and welcoming atmosphere that made my wait enjoyable. Despite its size, navigating the terminals was a breeze, and I appreciated the clear signage and helpful staff. What really stood out was how little construction was going on—everything felt smooth and efficient, with no unexpected delays or disruptions. The dining and shopping options were great, offering plenty of choices to pass the time. Overall, DEN made my layover stress-free and comfortable. If all airports were this well-maintained and traveler-friendly, flying would be even more enjoyable. Highly recommend! ✈️⭐

Huge airport… it can easily take 30 minutes just to get from one terminal to another, so give yourself extra time. There are tons of food options throughout, so you won’t go hungry. The newer B and C terminals are especially nice: modern design, plenty of light, and lots of comfortable seating.

One of the best airport in USA 🎉🎉🎉🎉 one of the biggest airport in term of size in USA . One of the most diverse airport in USA as people from all across the world are working in harmony . Gateway to the Rockies mountains and all across the other states in the western USA . Conveniently located in middle of USA and have connection to across the USA and most of the countries in the world also . One of the best airport made with the traffic ease going in or out of airport . Separate departure and arrival floor make one of the unique airport in the country . And the rental places and taxi have there own floor so one don’t get mix when arrived . Lot of nice resturant at the ticket counter and all 3 concourses. Easy and convenient connection of the concourse by the train and very helpful staff all around . I would say it would made one journey so nice at the denver international airport .

Very packed for a relatively large airport. Staff is okay but the TSA agents are as rude as NY. But it is during the gov shutdown now so maybe it is understandable. Good selection of foods, stores, etc. gate seating is good with plenty of outlets.

Cool airport. The Southwest Terminal (C) is extremely nice and clean. The plane train has a cool jingle for each stop. The new east security was very quick and efficient and clean. My recommendation is to walk down to the end because the line will be shorter. Definitely something ominous and weird about the place but that’s probably because of everything happening underneath the airport. If you don’t know just look up the airport on YouTube. Overall good place though

The airport is huge, with a beautiful white tent-like roof. There is a dedicated subway connecting the terminals, a very convenient modern facilities. Shuttle subway is fast, convenient and clean. There are a lots of charging ports at all gate, so friendly to passengers.

Great airport, we have traveled to and from. I really like the exhibits that they have on the bridge leading to A terminal. There are many different restaurants and shops within the terminals. Some airlines use ramps others you have to walk onto the tarmac to board your plane. We have seen people talk all breeds of dogs into the cabin. Shops are very pricey.

The Children's Museum of Denver at Marsico Campus offers an interactive and educational experience for children, encouraging them to learn through play. With a variety of hands-on exhibits and specialized programs, the museum aims to foster a community of kid-powered learning. From exploring life in the backyard to building and constructing in The Assembly Plant, children can engage in a range of activities that promote learning in STEM, Health, Literacy, and the Arts.
If you have a half to full day to kill in Denver with kids this is a great place. Tons of hands on activities! My kids especially like the maker space where they build things, the art studio and the outdoor play area where you have to wear a helmet (the museum provides them). Take your own lunch because their cafe on site is crazy expensive... Like granola bars are $2 a piece, a sandwich is $8 or a candy os $3-6. We saved on tickets through city pass where we bought multiple tickets in one place for a discount.
Rachel C — Google review
Weekday afternoons are a great time to visit. Younger kids have a lot of fun. Some more frequently rotated exhibits would be nice to see- after a few visits, the place loses its charm. I also wish they had EV chargers so people could charge while there for a few hours.
J S — Google review
The Denver Children’s Museum has changed a lot since my childhood—it’s now very modern, creative, and full of engaging activities. From the magical infant/toddler Blossom Room to physics and construction areas, clay and cooking workshops, and even bubble play, there’s something for every age. The outdoor playground and water play area look fantastic (though the playground was closed during our visit). The only downsides: it’s pricey—our family of five spent nearly $100 for just a few hours—and the food options are expensive for what you get. Some outdoor areas also lack shade and you can hear I-25 nearby. That said, the museum is beautifully designed, fun, and well worth a visit if you’re in Denver.
Brad — Google review
Our kids (ages 3 and 6) thoroughly enjoyed their time here. There were numerous interactive exhibits that they enjoyed. The fire station and truck area was well done. The bubbles area was one of the best we’ve visited. Although my kids didn’t like the taste of the smoothie, the kids kitchen activity of making a PBJ smoothie was a great learning experience. The outdoor area is much larger than we expected and was also well enjoyed. Highly recommend visiting if you’re in the area.

This place can be very packed. They offer discounted prices for those with Colorado ebt cards, and they have a large selection of things to do. I reccomend going during the school year not during the summer, the giant playground is 5 years and up so keep that in mind. Very clean facility, they have nursing areas for breastfeeding moms and water play. They have family bathrooms, an art studio, outdoor activities including zip lining, more water play, hay maze, stuff to explore that’s kid size, a large and wide slide, bubble room, building room with real wood, a fire truck and veterinarian theme area, a small play area for kids 36 months and under. A large indoor climbing space that goes up 3 levels, a stem area, multiple other play areas.
L M — Google review
Wow, this children's museum puts everything that I have seen in Utah to shame. Tons of activities and exhibits for the kids. I love how everybody flocks to the bubble room immediately. The art studio and crafting rooms were also great hits. The climbing courses are phenomenal. Well worth the price and you could easily justify a membership if you are in Denver with young kids.

Very fun museum for a weekend with kids. They enjoyed it so much in each section of the place. It is easily spent 3 to 4 hours there. Also, they have free wheelchair provided for people who are in need. One thing to note, Since it is a museum for children, they charge baby and toddler for an entrance fee as well.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I took our toddler daughter to the Denver Children’s Museum today and it reminded me why this is one of our absolute favorite places to go. The exhibits are so creative and interactive—she was completely engaged the entire time, whether it was climbing, exploring, or experimenting in the hands-on areas. It’s the perfect balance of fun and learning, and I love how much thought they put into every detail to make it exciting for kids of all ages. Her favorite part was the “Bloom” 🌸 exhibit, which is so sweet and garden/nature themed for little ones up to 36 months. It is so nice that they provide clean socks just in case you haven’t brought any! She loved being able to run and crawl around in a beautiful and safe space. Bubble exhibit is a favorite too 🫧 We’re so glad they offer a membership option because this is definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommend it for any family looking for a fun and memorable day in Denver!

The United States Mint Tour Entrance and Gift Shop in Denver offers a 45-minute tour led by knowledgeable guides, providing insight into the history of coinage production. Visitors can witness the process of creating billions of coins annually and get up close with the shiny pocket change. The tour is suitable for kids aged seven and above, making it an educational experience for families. Additionally, visitors recommend arriving early to secure tickets and explore the fascinating gift shop offering a variety of souvenirs related to currency production.
We went on Thursday about 1045a to get free tour tickets at the outside gift shop window... tour was scheduled to 12p. There is street parking and paid parking lots where you'll pay about $20. Before you start the tour, you will wait in line and the guards will give further instructions. IMPORTANT: NO BAGS ALLOWED. You will then go through security check. The tour was great!. The tour will give you history, go through the process of the mint and give you a souvenir. Our tour guide was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. **It would have been great if the mint could provide a brochure/photos of what we learned (museum area) and some architectural areas (exit hall area)... since photographs are not allowed during the tour.

Highly recommend, free history lesson and a sneak peek to how money is beeing made. Cool gift shop with limited edition coins. Tickets work that way that first come first serve, and ticket office opens at 7 and then there are multiple tours throughout the day, so you can pick suitable one. Security check was fast and smooth. For the price of ditto, cannot complain. Good museum

Very interesting subject. Was on weekend so nothing running but still has many artifacts and very knowledgeable staff going through the presentation. Would do it again when things are operating. Great gift shop. Unique items for all ages. The tour tickets are free.

You'll find exactly what you'd expect to find here. An adequate little gift shop with many US Mint novelties and coins. This is adjacent to the tour entrance at the visitor center. For the tour, if you imagine yourself as the type of person who would enjoy a tour of the Mint, you'll like it. If you don't think it'd be intereting, you'll be mildly bored, but ok.
Cody H — Google review
I really enjoyed the free tour. Tour tickets need to be picked up in advance on the same day. They have multiple tours during the day and if you are lucky you can get the ticket before the tour. The tour includes the history of the mint, the minting of coins and a penny souvenir. Bags of any kind are not allowed, there are no lockers to store your belongings, cell phones need to be turned off and you have to go through security check.
Muhammad S — Google review
Very enjoyable, interesting and informative tour. IMPORTANT: No bag/purse allowed inside and no storage area, you may only enter with what you can carry in your pockets.

A piece of history and an awesome piece at that. It's where coins are made, one of two of the biggest US mints. They offer a free behind-the-scenes tour which is something special for coin collectors and history aficionados. The gift shop sells annual coin sets, freshly minted collectibles, everything from their website all in one spot. if you're into coins, this is someplace you can't miss.
James C — Google review
Went on a Tuesday around 8:45am, parked close by the gift shop entrance one block away in paid public parking spot (uses app and card mainly) for around $18 for 2hrs+. Walking up to the tour entrance there is a ticket booth and I got a ticket for the 9am, and went into the gift shop in the meantime. It’s a very close walk from the ticket booth/gift shop to the tour entrance so you can stay there until the tour start time. The check in process took about 15mins from 9am to get into the building to start. The whole tours is about an hour and 15mins long at most. It was very informative, interesting and even got to see quarters and half dollars being stamped. All the staff and displays were great! I had an amazing time overall and took home some great souvenirs! Went to the gift shop the next day around 10:15am and all tours for the day were booked.

Sam's No. 3 is a charming diner in downtown Denver that has been serving comfort food since 1927. The menu offers a wide range of options, from classic breakfast items like French toast and pancakes to hearty American dishes such as hamburgers and chicken strips. The diner has an old-school charm and a family-friendly atmosphere, making it popular among both kids and adults.
I love this place! I visited last time I was in Denver and I knew I wanted to come back again. Location is perfect for those visiting for work. The wait is typically not too long despite having a lot of visitors. It's a BIG restaurant so the line moves quickly. All the staff that helped us from check in, seating, to our service were kind, welcoming and wonderful. This time I ordered the Country Fried Steak Skillet and with a little Cholula, it was perfect. I went with two of my colleagues this visit and they were both super happy with their orders as well. I had the regular hot coffee with breakfast and it was good too. The menu is huge, which I am not typically a fan of, but it's good if you're with a group. Also, the actual building itself is pretty cute. There's great natural light in the mornings, a covered outdoor seating area, and cute little hibachi looking diner seating. 5/5 and I already can't wait to go back.

Overall I had a great experience and I would recommend this place. If you in downtown Denver and looking for good breakfast I would definitely visit this place. Hope that helped...

Let’s start with, the food here was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, it was fairly loud, making it hard to talk even just one person over. And because they were so busy, we visited on a Saturday around brunch, we didn’t feel like we had prompt service. We were seated relatively quickly, and the food was out incredibly fast. But we waited for 15+ mins to get the check and boxes. We will likely return, but plan to get to go instead 😋

Popular, noisy, authentic diner. The portions are large, the selection is large and varies from everything for breakfast to burgers and sandwiches, to Mexican options. I had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and spinach and it was very good. My family also enjoyed a Reuben, a burger, and the chicken enchiladas and we all cleaned our plates.

The best spot in downtown for a very filling breakfast. Portions are HUGE. Food quality was not 5 stars but was good, especially the green chile and border burrito. I actually ate here three times in a week as it was convenient to the convention center., 2x breakfast and a lunch. French dip was really good with horseradish and au jus. Tater tots were great as well. Coffee packed any flavor but otherwise great spot to eat.

Ball Arena, located in the heart of Lower Downtown Denver, is a versatile venue that hosts major sporting events and big-name music performances. Home to the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Mammoth, it offers an array of entertainment options throughout the year. The arena features three restaurants and ample concession stands for dining options. With 250 events annually, including concerts and shows, Ball Arena is a prominent sports and entertainment destination.
While in Denver for business, my wife, some coworkers, and I decided to catch a Nuggets playoff game on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, against the Minnesota Timberwolves and we had a hell of a time. The atmosphere was electric, the fans were hyped, and it was a tense, thrilling game from start to finish. Nikola Jokić put on a show with 40 points and 13 assists, leading Denver to a 112–97 win and giving them a 3–2 series lead. Anthony Edwards and Karl-Anthony Towns fought hard for Minnesota, but the Nuggets’ defense shut things down in the fourth quarter. Attendance was ~19,992 the place was packed and the energy was off the charts. We used Google Maps to find Ball Arena and locate nearby parking. There are plenty of garages and lots in the downtown area, which made getting there easy. Several hotels are close by, making it convenient if you’re staying overnight in Denver. If you’re in town, I highly recommend catching a Nuggets game at Ball Arena. The atmosphere, the excitement, and the experience are unforgettable we can’t wait to go back!

We LOVE the Ball arena. Concerts here are so easy to navigate and there's really no "bad seat" in the house. I'll choose an event here over the broncos stadium any day! The only downside is that if you are over 6' tall the seats are tight for legroom. I'm 5'1 so no issues, but my husband struggles at 6'3

Easy to get to from downtown Denver. Plenty of parking (always good to pay in advance to secure a spot in the Camry lot which is the closest to the arena). Good amount of beverage stands, could do with more food options during concerts as a few of the vendors were closed. Staff are really friendly - maybe it’s a Denver thing as everyone working at arenas, music venues, ball parks etc in Denver is just super nice and helpful.

Just went to my first Avalanche game after years of watching them on the boob tube. What an experience! All of the staff were friendly and courteous—all of them. The game was awesome. My only criticism were seat jumpers. I paid good money for center ice mid lower level—must’ve had 4 sets of jumpers. I’ll be back. Go Avs!

Conference & Convention Centers
The Colorado Convention Center is a modern and spacious venue in Denver, featuring meeting and expo facilities as well as an abundance of public art. One of its most iconic features is the 'See What You Mean' sculpture, also known as the big blue bear, standing at 40 feet tall and peering through the center's towering windows. This playful artwork symbolizes curiosity and serves as a connection between Denver residents and visitors attending various events hosted within the convention center.
Big, open, airy, plenty of restrooms and kept clean. Parking garages are nearby or there’s metered street parking. Pretty neat place to spend an afternoon depending on what festival or event they’re having! Like the outside art work and sitting spaces.
MtZ R — Google review
I attended a conference at the center. The building is impressive in size and design. However, it lacks simple amenities to make it a welcoming space. There was not enough seating in the common areas outside of the conference rooms. Food options within the area were also inadequate. The concessions available ran out of food on a daily basis. Initially, there were not enough staff to provide information. However, that improved in the latter days of the conference. For such an impressive venue, more efforts could be made to make the space more welcoming.

Great American Beer Festival was a success. Good job to the workers making it easy to get in, know where to go, and keeping the place clean. Tasting was spread out in various areas, so nothing got way too busy. For 4 hours, $95 to get tiny samples was more about the event and being with friends than the beer itself. All of the beef and spirit vendors were gracious, shared info on their beverages, and made it easy to get samples. I do wish there were more food options there. Some folks were smart and brought homemade necklaces of pretzels, candy, and snacks to munch on. Just not enough food vendors and they were on the edges of the room. Some seriously ignorant and belligerent people there, since sampling quantity isn't monitored much. I get that people want to get their value for the money they spent to get in, but I witnessed guys threatening workers on the way out just to instigate a problem. The workers handled it well, though.
Matt H — Google review
Good place to use the restroom. The rude man at the front said no restrooms, but it's a public building, so just say you are there for the event if they ask, since most events are open to the public. Enter near the big bear and the bathrooms are straight ahead down the steps and down the hall. Restrooms are cleaned and well maintained. Nice building with fun events. Eventually the city will learn that you shouldn't have an unwelcoming party to confront you when you visit a public building. It really paints Denver in a negative light. But for now I think it's best to ignore that flaw and enjoy this beautiful city.
Brett L — Google review
What can I say? It’s a great conference center. I came here for the Psychedelic Science 2025 conference, and the space handled a huge crowd without feeling too cramped or chaotic. The layout is easy to navigate, with plenty of room for talks, exhibits, and all the side conversations that make these events special. Parking isn’t perfect.. like most big venues - but it’s decent and gets the job done. Once you’re inside, everything is clean, organized, and set up to bring people together. Overall, it’s a solid place to host a large conference and create a sense of community. Five stars from me.

Went to Fan Expo. Had a blast. Even found good parking even though it was so busy. The only complaint was cell service but that wasn't their fault. There were too many people too close together.

Every experience is different depending on the event. I've been here a couple times for the Denver Fan Expo and had a great time each time. Crowded but tolerable. The staff were helpful with information on where to go and help find things. They kept the bathrooms decently clean. Overall chill experience!

This place is huge! The escalators are in strange places and it’s easy to get lost in all the through hallways. The staff was all nice that I interacted with. The rooftop terrace was an amazing feature!

Cherry Creek State Park is a sprawling Colorado state park that encompasses the 880-acre Cherry Creek Reservoir in Arapahoe County. Known as 'Denver's backyard playground,' the park offers a wide range of outdoor activities for visitors throughout the year. With 35 miles of multi-use trails, it's perfect for jogging and biking, while the reservoir allows boating, fishing, and swimming in summer and ice skating in winter.
What a beautiful state park! The campsites were large with pavement & concrete. Not to mention, each site was so spread apart we felt like we had an actual yard! Great bike paths too. We were so impressed every day with the amount of upkeep the workers were doing in sites as soon as people left. We will definitely stay here again! Great job to the staff here!

I went yesterday, July 29, 2025, with my husband. The place is beautiful for hiking and camping, although some young people don't believe in cleanliness and throw trash everywhere, even though the reserve provides them with all the necessary places and trash containers. Nevertheless, the romantic reserve is beautiful, sunny days are available, and water is always available near all the seating areas, and the bathrooms are clean.

I love this lake to fish It's so clean and so many trees and vegetation and animals I've seen dear many times. I also saw big toad. This is my go-to place when I want to relax take my dog out.

Such a lovely state park. Wonderful trail to walk, it is paved for road biking. There are many bathrooms along the trail too. Also I love the swimmable area in the reservoir. Super refreshing for after a workout! Leave no trace :)

Great views for a morning run! The attendant at the East entrance was very helpful. Gave me a map and gave perfect instructions on how to get to Dixon for the trail. I ended my run by the lake. So peaceful. I’m going back tomorrow for my 8 mile run down Cherry Creek Dam.

An amazing resource for Aurorans. The reservoir is pretty stunning at sunset. It's lovely to have a city park that isn't overly manicured, allowing its natural beauty to shine.

The Denver Public Library: Central Library is a treasure trove for book lovers and history enthusiasts alike. With over 2 million items including books, movies, DVDs, reference materials, and photographs, there's something for everyone to explore. The library also offers a wealth of resources for those interested in Western history and genealogy. Designed by renowned architect Michael Graves, the post-modern architecture of the library is a sight to behold.
Glad I came here on the grand reopening day. There are so many things to do here like doing some work, reading or buying books, looking at art and views, and so much more! Great staff as well as how easy you can get to work stations around the building. Loved the views from the building as well. It was busy today but was worth checking out the new interior of the library. Worth a stop for books or a place to get your work done!

This was my first time visiting the Denver library. I was told they recently did a renovation and it looks fantastic. The library offers a wide variety of resources including books (obviously), computers, gaming consoles for the teens in the children's library section, idea lab for anyone wanting to start something new (business idea etc), and an art gallery. My kids loved the newly renovated children's library section. There were so many different things to do from toddler age to teens. And I love the private quiet nooks throughout the library set up for reading. I highly recommend this place. We'll definitely go back for another visit later this summer.

Beautiful and functional, this multi storied library is fantastic. As a visitor to this city I am astounded at the quality. While here I visited the book shop they had and overheard them giving résumé help, research help and even directing someone on how to access netflix! Amazing, this is what a public library should be like.

People watching and enjoying the views. For sure you'll find any book, staff is amazing. Nice views, art gallery, computers and clean.

The library is really big and looks quite new and they have a lot of different books with different sections and spaces to read and learn. Also some kind of art gallery on the top floors with an amazing view over Denver.

My son (13) and I were BLOWN AWAY by the Denver Public Library! Seven floors: 1-4 is ALL THE normal stuff 7 was an art display and balcony Floor 5 was our favorite! The archives floor of the Denver public library - there’s a genealogy section with like Ellis island entries! We could also TOUCH THE BOOKS! There’s also old card catalogs; Old maps from everywhere from like 1800’s; a wooden room custom designed by the architect - NO NAILS - with all the western US history (if you include their storage floor (6) and basement). They call it the structure and history room the Snowglobe. 🥰 We may have nerded out. Highly recommend as just a random visit while we’re in Denver for the month.

Great space and the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. I have had nothing but great experiences in the Denver libraries. This was my first visit to the Central Library, but hopefully it won’t be the last.

This library is huge and the place to take your kids. If you’re bored and need something to do for free, this is the place to go in Denver. It’s 7 floors and on the 7th floor there’s a mini art gallery. On the first floor there’s a kids zone where they have computers for kids to get on as well as games and arts and crafts area, even iPads for those young growing minds.

Water World is a massive 67-acre water park in Denver, offering a wide range of attractions suitable for all ages. From heart-pounding slides to lazy rivers and wave pools, there's something for everyone. Visitors can rent tubes and lockers on-site and even reserve bungalows or cabanas for added comfort. The park also features a kiddie splash zone and offers an all-you-can-eat pass at the Pharaoh's Feast restaurant.
Even on a cloudy day, it was such a vibe! Everyone was so chill too and so understanding! I had multiple kiddos with me and they let me leave my cooler with them while I ran something back to the car and that means a lot to a mom who can’t just run to and from a car without having to haul a bunch of crap with. Super down to earth, all day! Got mega chilly so we hit the “warming pool” which, in my opinion should be bigger, but it’s helpful! 🌸🙏
Yessica C — Google review
We visited over the weekend and this place hasn’t changed at all in 20 years. It’s a ton of fun for not a ton of money. The rides are awesome and ride wait times aren’t to bad. We did get a bungalow so we would have a home base. The park does allow you to sit in the grass areas and picnic tables but it is first come first serve on open areas. If you want a cabana or bungalow you need to book in advance. One really cool thing is waterworld allows you to bring in your own food so if you are needing to budget/save money or have dietary restrictions this is a plus If you’re in a cabana or bungalow then you have the ability to order food directly to your area via their website/qr code. One pro tip - get to the park 20-30 minutes before they open to get parked and in line for the security. It can take 30-40 minutes to get in if you don’t arrive early.
Matthew L — Google review
We had a fun time at water world when we came. They had a variety of choices for food and the park has enough attractions for each of our sons, who are different ages. I wish I would have been more cleanly. The bathrooms by the surfing area smelled like pee and it was really disgusting when we had to pass by.
Alisha R — Google review
This is one of my absolute favorite places in the Denver area! The rides are fun, the staff is friendly while still keeping us safe, it has such a good local feel since it's run by the city and not like a Six Flags, and it's overall just a magical place. They have lovely gardens and plenty of restrooms. You can bring your own food (but not alcohol). The lines do get long nearly every day on warm days, and it can take a while to get in if you get there in the morning, but that's all just kind of just modern Denver. Make absolutely sure you're wearing sunscreen, and reapply several times if you're there all day! There's quite a range of fashion choices, if you're modest or nervous about sun feel free to cover up more, or if you want to go skimpier/thong-y that seems fine too. I haven't encountered any creepy bikini police scolding us about our bikini choices, so wear what you want. Overall it's absolutely worth going, and if you hate lines go early in the season on the coldest day you can stand. Consider getting there later and not spending the entire day there, if you stay all day you're going to get toasty anyway. Have fun!!
Sarah T — Google review
Found shade in shallow water. 98 degrees that day but able to park close to entrance, easy walk to find this fun activity; three fun slides for little ones. Even found a shaded picnic table. Perfect day, ty Waterworld, we will be back!
Tricia P — Google review
The responses from the park owner to these reviews is atrocious customer service and a very poor way to represent your own company. We went today and were incredibly disappointed. First of all, the park cleanliness was not great. The water was pretty dang cold. Lockers are small and expensive, everything is expensive. None of the refill station would let us fill water, they wanted us to pay for new waterbottles everytime. The whole park is pretty confusing unless you are a frequent attendee. No refunds, no convenience, no customer service, crap gift shop, expensive crappy food, no consistency between staff, website is misleading and terrible, no accountability. This place needs to be reported to the better business beuro for stealing from their customers. WATERWORLD, DO BETTER! Between the many negative Facebook reviews and the few on Google, your reputation is going down the toilet along with your park. Secondly, don't ask anyone for directions or help or where to purchase an item or check something. Its an inconvenience to them, they avoid looking at you, and just point in a direction saying over to the right or over that way. Last, I can NOT comprehend the rudeness, chaos, lack of signs and accurate information, making people wait in 90 minute line to borrow a tube for a slide. Carry that giant tube up the metal stairs by yourself. Stand in another 60 to 90 minute line for said slide. They take your tube at the end of the slide and you have to do it all over again. Wait in a line to go wait in a line. Also, you'll have to reserve cabanas/bungalow months in advance if you want one but from the comments i read its not worth it. Customer service is wretched. The park is massive and very few connecting paths, it's like walking through a maze. The wave pool last only a few minutes. The lazy river is super super short. You have to rent tube for the lazy river but can't use them ANYWHERE else and If you carry your tube for too long staff will stop you to reprimand you for carrying your tube around the park because apparently thats only allowed when they say it's ok to carry a massive 2 person tube up 5 flights of metal stairs. $25 for one towel at the gift shop. The changing rooms are saunas, they are very warm and it's hard to put a bathing suit on while you're sweating to death in a matter of 1 minute. The curtains for the changing stalls were ghetto and didnt cover the opening well. The locker set up is weird and kind of a pain. There were a lot of older people that couldn't understand how to reserve or use a locker and staff doesnt help with anything so they couldn't ask them. Nobody tells you any of these things. The staff seems to be incredibly unhappy with their job or there just rude as he'll. We planned this on our vacation with soooo much excitement. It was the worst experience we've had on any trip or theme/water park. Supposedly one of the best water parks in the nation, this is false. Im so so so sad by this experience. TOTAL AND UTTER WAIST OF TIME AND MONEY. Maybe Elitch Gardens is the better choice. If we come back that's were we will try next. The best part of the Waterpark was seeing a cute squirrel.

We had so much spending the day at water world! It was a fun way to beat the heat, however if you aren't bringing your own food and snacks, you'd better plan on spending a ton of cash! It's so expensive! The lines are definitely shorter on weekdays but you'll still stand in line for 90+ minutes for the bigger rides. We still had a blast though!

Nature & Wildlife Areas
Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, just outside Denver, offers a diverse natural landscape with open lakes, wetlands, prairie grasslands, and woodlands that provide a habitat for over 330 species. Despite its controversial history as a chemical weapons testing site during WWII and later declared unfit for human habitation, the refuge has been reclaimed by wildlife.
Rocky Mountain Arsenal was pure magic! We spotted a whole herd of buffalo, a couple of majestic eagles soaring overhead, and even a young buck casually hanging out like it was no big deal. It felt like stepping into a nature documentary—except we were in it! The drive-through loop was super easy to navigate, and every turn had a new surprise waiting. Such a peaceful, wild gem right outside the city. If you’re craving a little adventure without having to hike miles, this place is a must. Will definitely be back for more wildlife wonders!
Shaun D — Google review
This was a delightful surprise! Living in Denver usually means heading to the mountains for holidays, but this Labor Day, we decided to explore the Rocky Mountain Arsenal east of the city. And guess what? We were not disappointed! The refuge was absolutely charming. We took the wildlife drive and spotted a herd of bison grazing peacefully. There were also lots of patient dogs roaming around. We also took a stroll around Mary Lake, which was incredibly relaxing and a very pleasant walk. .
Eddie H — Google review
This is a wonderful way to see some amazing large animals, close up. Most of the refuge is seen from inside your car. Don't Get Out of Your Car!!! The bison are very large and unpredictable animals. The males can be very aggressive. Bring binoculars and your camera longer lens are helpful as you will be shooting from inside your car. Many of the animals are used to seeing cars and do get close to the road. Sometimes the bison come up into the road! The deer generally keep their distance, but they get close enough to see them well. The coyotes generally tend to stay away from people and are at some distance away, but these are wild animals, they don't read these reviews or the rule books. Your experience will probably be different than mine. There are areas where you can get out and walk around, trails and pathways to adventure through. Areas where you can view the waterbirds from and bridges through the marsh areas.
Chas G — Google review
I came here thinking we weren’t gonna see much but we saw lots of animals especially the bison/buffalo deer with full fledged antlers (like the ones Santa uses) and tons of badgers!! This place is a must see! Just drive through these fields and you’re bound to see lots of wildlife! We had our car surrounded by bison! It was great!!
Tzvi K — Google review
First, some tips: 🐌 Take your time, slow down. This is a free opportunity to relax and allow yourself to be surprised by what you can see if you just slow down. Cars coming behind you? Let them pass. The road is one way but plenty wide enough most of the way, so anyone just wanting to rush through can simply go around you. The speed limit is 30; I PROMISE you'll miss things if you do that. 👁👁 Be on the constant lookout. The two types of deer, coyote, certain birds, and the prairie dogs here can be hard to spot unless they just decide to give you a show. Watch for the flick of an ear or tail or a random swift movement, it's actually fun to spot something other cars are passing. 🎧 Put on The "podcast" and pause/play as you go. It's NOT boring and you actually see more (e.g. a bald eagle nest) than you would on your own.... and the facts you learn about the wildlife, land, people, etc are interesting (my fave was the "underground cities"). My review: What a beautiful place; I haven't smiled that hard in a long while... even though we drove through in the afternoon on a very warm day and assumed we wouldn't see a ton of wildlife, we were pleasantly surprised at what we did get to see --- a herd of bison in the distance as well as a few more here and there close enough to photograph, a TON of active and alert prairie dogs, a warbler, mule deer, a ferruginous hawk soaring above, and so much breathtaking land. Go, take your time, enjoy.
Charity W — Google review
I can't express the depth of my love for this place! The wildlife drive is beautiful, the hikes are easy and refreshing, and the information center is intresting and insightful. This is such a fun place to come to to see wildlife thriving in their natural environment! The prairie restoration efforts bring me so much joy and hope for keeping Colorados wildlife safe and healthy, especially in such a dire climate crisis. This is a great place for kids and adults to enjoy nature
Kae777 — Google review
Unfortunately the visitor center was closed, due to the government shutdown. The wildlife drive was OK - it was mid-morning, and there was nothing much to see. A few spots where the trees were changing. It would probably be better earlier in the morning. Not sure I would go back again.
Rich B — Google review
Loved listening and learning with the podcast. Only disappointment was bison were not up and no big birds, but plenty of deer and prairie dogs and scenery. For a free detour, totally worth a visit. :)

Step back in time at Lakeside Amusement Park, a vintage fun park established in 1908. This family-owned gem offers classic attractions like wooden roller coasters, bumper cars, and speed boats. Thrill-seekers can't miss the Wild Chipmunk and Cyclone rides, while little ones will love the miniature trains and carnival classics. The park also hosts family-friendly performances and special events featuring skilled acrobats and entertainment for all ages.
Lakeside Amusement Park is a gem! Going there feels like traveling back in time in the best way—there’s something so nostalgic and charming about it. It’s the perfect place for a fun day with kids of all ages. There are tons of classic rides to enjoy, lots of kiddie rides too, and the whole vibe is laid-back and family-friendly. The staff is nice and helpful, and everything is super affordable. Parking is free, admission is only $5, and you can choose to buy ride tickets for just $0.50 each or get an unlimited ride wristband. Even the food is reasonably priced. It’s such a fun, budget-friendly place to make memories.
Alejandra K — Google review
5 stars for nostalgia as a Denver native. Lakeside was the ultimate experience when I was growing up. It hasn't changed a lot, except the rides might squeak a bit more and the decor has gone from "could use fresh paint" to "what does that sign actually say?" People may talk about how rides don't work or the bathrooms are missing half the "on" levers in the sinks... ok all you haters, you just don't understand the rush of joy from experiencing this classic theme park that is a page out of history. Yoda would say, "Look so good when you are 117, you will not." But, a star off because I hope the owner invests in keeping this gem around for another 117 years. Parking: free Admission:$5 Option to purchase park pass or tickets that each cost 50 cents, with rides requiring various amounts of tickets. The kiddie area only costs 1 ticket per ride. For young kids new to amusement parks or with sensory considerations, I recommend bringing cash and purchasing tickets as you go because our kids only rode on three rides. We enjoyed the train which goes all around the lake! Memories made for the next generation! 💕

Lakeside Amusement Park was a gem I wasn’t expecting to run into. From the start there was a really fun and nice vibe coming from the place that I haven’t really felt from anywhere else. Genuinely a wonderful time capsule from a bygone era. The rides were all so fun and pretty especially at night with the hundreds of neon and incandescent lights. Also can’t forget about the extremely reasonable price to get in and purchase anything. Very good deal. Also the staff and owner were some of the nicest and most genuine people I’ve met here in Denver. Please keep this place open, it’s a wonderful park with loads of nostalgia and potential.

I had driven by this place for years thinking it was closed down, and one boring Saturday decided to actually check it out - and what a pleasant surprise! Not only is it actually open but it’s the perfect mix of run down to be nostalgic, and affordability for a fun evening of people watching and riding rides. It’s like stepping back into the 80s, even a pizza and icee is under $4! The kiddie section is perfect for a little one to gain confidence in riding rides independently! Go today!

Calling all Camp Counselors! Man oh man is this place a blast from years past. We attended the Summer Scream event for the first time ever and I'll be attending this event every year in the future. Free beers, free rides and a night at the park with an eclectic ensemble of Coloradans. They should honestly host more events like this more often because it was hands down one of the best bangs for your buck I've attended in Denver. Park outside the park and walk in and do not bring a bag as the lines to get in are quite extensive. Worth it to get there early to be able to maximize the number of rides and beers deleted during the allotted time allowed in this adult adventure park!
Hunter G — Google review
It’s such a great park, it has the best staff I have seen, I went on Saturday with my family and me and my family had a great time, the staff made me laugh and made me happy, it appears they really like their job or like to bring a smile to people’s faces, it was so chill. One thing they need tho is to bring back the cyclone coster it would really make the park get a lot more attention, and maybe more maintenance on the rides since they are kinda old, but every thing else is just perfect with the lights and aesthetics, it makes you think you are in the 60s to late 80s. I in may personal opinion think it’s a perfect way to spent some quality time with family or friends.
Angel G — Google review
This place is truly legendary for so many reasons. The charm is unmatched, and it's so cool how much history comes with this place. It's rinky in all the best ways. And the rides are amazing, true fair nostalgia. That being said...If only the owners would take the time to invest the love that it needs, or sell to someone who would maintain its glory. 3/4 of the games in the arcade don't work, bathrooms are nasty. The main attraction, the wooden roller coaster has been closed for years. Charge $10 instead of $5! People are willing to pay, just for the love of god keep this place open. It's an institution.

The Daniels & Fisher Tower, an iconic landmark in Denver, was constructed in 1910 and originally served as a clock tower for a department store. Standing at an impressive 330 feet tall with 20 floors, it draws inspiration from the Campanile of St. Mark's Square in Venice. Once the tallest building west of the Mississippi River, this historic structure now functions as an office space while still captivating visitors with its stunning light brick facade against the Colorado sky.
This just opened for self-guided tours this year. You start by taking the elevator to the 17th floor and you're welcomed by the caretaker. There are two 360 walk around areas with open views, views of the clock inside and outside. Definitely recommend.
Mark N — Google review
The Daniels & Fisher building is a standout with its beautiful clock tower, elegant and full of historic charm. It’s a cool landmark right in the middle of downtown Denver. I stopped by in late April and, to my surprise, it was snowing! Made for a unique scene, though I do wish the weather had been a bit nicer.
Eric L — Google review
The Clocktower in Denver, officially known as the Daniels & Fisher Tower, is a stunning landmark that stands proudly at the heart of the city’s downtown area. Built in 1911, its classic Italian Renaissance design has made it a symbol of Denver’s architectural charm and historical significance. Once the tallest building west of the Mississippi, the tower continues to draw attention with its distinctive silhouette and intricate details. Positioned along the 16th Street Mall, a vibrant pedestrian-friendly promenade, the Clocktower truly serves as a centerpiece of activity in Denver. Its location makes it ideal for leisurely walks or even gliding along on scooters, as visitors can soak in the urban energy of the area. By day, the tower’s timeless design complements the bustling atmosphere of surrounding shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. What makes the Clocktower truly magical, however, is how it comes alive at night. Its nightly light projections transform the historic structure into a dynamic work of art, captivating everyone who passes by. Special occasions and events bring creative displays that highlight the beauty of the tower’s facade, making it a must-see spectacle for locals and tourists alike. Additionally, the interior hosts unique events, including tours and performances, giving visitors a chance to step inside and connect with Denver’s history in a meaningful way. Whether you’re a Denver native or just visiting, the Clocktower offers a perfect blend of historical charm and modern allure, serving as a focal point for both the city’s past and its lively present.

Visited: 30/06/2023 We didn't have long in Denver so walked around all the statues and other icons the city, which is super fun. This Clock Tower was really nice architecturally and stands-oout among the glass office complex buildings around it. It has a really pretty garden around the bottom too. Would have been nice to visit inside it if we had had the time.

This iconic clock tower in the downtown Denver area is hard to miss. Especially after dark, there will be projection mapping light shows on the wall of this tower. If you're in the area at the right time, it's worth checking it out.

Love going to the 1st Friday and enjoying all the beautiful art. There’s so many galleries and it tends to be super busy but for good reason! Great time to explore and support local Denver artists 🎨🖼️. One of the best things to do on the first of the month in Colorado!

First Friday was a blast! Lots of things to do. Food trucks, bars, breweries etc... it was a bot crowded but I expected it. Word of wisdom dont drive , take another form of transportation because you wont find a spot. Im about a Mike from there so I grabbed a scooter! It was fun and I liked getting out of the house for a change!

Nestled in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe, the vibrant pink building of Museo de las Americas is home to a diverse collection of over 3,000 pre-Columbian, folk, and contemporary Latino art pieces. Since its establishment in 1994, this award-winning museum has been dedicated to showcasing the arts and cultures of the Americas through exhibitions featuring both international and regional artists. The museum also hosts lively First Fridays with neighboring galleries open late and offering food trucks and interactive activities.
Very nice museum, definitely worth visiting especially the fee is $5 with a student discount and it took me around 40 minutes since I sit a while with each piece. I literally got tears in my eyes from the expressive art. My only complain is it pretty small and I know for sure that there are more art work to be added! * I saw only one floor and now I wonder if they have a second floor LOL but I don't think so

Great museum with a ton of North/South American history. Decent amount of street parking nearby as well. Not a big museum but also not very crowded. Less than 5 people passed by while we were there.

What a great museum! We loved our visit here and learned much from the exhibition that was currently displayed. The staff here were so friendly and helpful as well...thanks to them for making our visit a positive one!
Pablo D — Google review
The museum is wonderful. The exhibits are wonderfully informative. But unfortunately these things don't make up for the bad. There was a summer camp during when I was there that made it annoying and uncomfortable with the kids running around. Two TVs were broken making it hard to connect. The director and some of the staff seemed unprofessional through condescending comments. The front desk costumer service worker on the other hand was kind and helpful, Even suggesting a great place to eat nearby.
Jack S — Google review
A small but impactful museum, with creaky wooden floors that just tell your mind that this is going to be good. It was more of as micro museum. We did enjoy the current exhibition though. Artists all had a unique approach to a call to action prompt. They also had what I think was as permanent collection of religious artifacts from the surrounding region. The gift shop had unique mostly hand made items. We were the only ones there when we went though someone came in as we left. The bathrooms were nice and very clean. We had planned to spend an hour or two there, but you could read and see everything in about 30 min, so we just left wanting more.

I have visited this museum twice. The first time was in 2022 for regular admission for their standard exhibits and once again recently in 2023 for a special, temporary exhibit. I like the small intimate nature of this museum. I highly recommend a guided tour with explanation of exhibits and artists. I learned so much when guided. Docents are knowledgeable and add to the experience. The location on Santa Fe Drive has street parking and restaurants nearby if you want to grab a bite to eat afterwards.

Museo is one of those places that holds it down. All the way 10 toes down. I've been coming to the spot for years and if that's some of my dopest, deepest cultural experiences here. I've seen friends of mine exhibited here. Most recently I walked around with the curator and the museum director to discuss the Anthony Quinn exhibit, a wondrous, insightful, fun, and intimate experience with one of the greatest Latino actors and relatively unknown Latino artists of the time. This is one of the places on Santa Fe that I come back to, as gentrified and colonized and otherized as the area has become, this is a place with roots is deepest cholas with big hoops, keeping it cultural and community. Always good to be here. I highly recommend stopping into the spot if you're ever in town or if you live here and you haven't got over there yet.

If you're a sports enthusiast or just someone curious about Colorado's vibrant athletic history, the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame is an absolute must-visit. Nestled within Empower Field at Mile High, this museum offers a fascinating journey through the state's sporting legacy. With engaging exhibits like "Salute to the Inductees," "Great Moments in Colorado Sports," and dedicated sections for women athletes and youth programs, there's something for everyone.
Recently on a MLB trip to Denver we took a tour of Mile High. As a Bronco fan for over 50 years I was really hyped as the date grew closer. I can say this was the best tour I have ever done. It was a great time and well worth the funds. Our guide was a great guy and the tour was really entertaining. GO BRONCOS!

I had the best time ever on my " sports USA bucket list". First a great look around the Hall of Fame then Sean's guided tour was informative well paced for the varied ages of the group and he answered everyone's questions. I came from Australia to do this as part of my trip to the Open Tennis It was so amazing to get behind the scenes from corporate boxes, media rooms to locker rooms and finally to stand on the edge of the playing field. Well worth it if you're a Broncos fan

Every time I go see a game in a different stadium I always go do a tour of the stadium. This stadium is older and to me very underwhelming tour. you get to see a couple of nice suites but as far as anything really cool that's about it. I did learn a lot of cool facts which was fun.

Bought a timed entry way in advance for FIL (we visited in July), who is a huge Fan, and it was even better than we imagined. I am not a Broncos fan like he is, but we are dedicated to helping him, an 80 y/o, fill is bucket (list) and this tour was impressive. The Hall of Fame is well researched and expertly presented. Our tour guide, Vicky, was patient, kind, informative, and well paced for the multigenerational group. We were a small but mighty group of mixed fan bases and she expertly accommodated all of us. Even if you are not a Broncos fan, the information and tour are impressive. We ended at gate 10, the gear shop, and Dad was able to take photos with his fav Hall of Famers, and pick up a trinket in the shop. In the off season it is a shame that we still could not visit certain places in the stadium, aka the home team locker room, but the visit was great all the same!
Stefanie W — Google review
What an incredible experience to tour the Hall of Fame and the stadium. Our tour guide was incredibly informative, friendly, and made our group laugh a lot, at the expense of the Raiders of course. 🤣 it was amazing to see behind-the-scenes at the stadium, an experience of a lifetime for my Broncos-fan husband! Thank you so much for your hospitality, and for pushing our appointment back when we got stuck in traffic! We hope to visit again someday!

Informative, casual tour through stadium. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer any questions that our group had to ask. Went with 4 kids and everyone loved the tour!

Had a very interesting tour of Empower Field. Good to see the different parts the stadium. A very well narrated tour by an engaging and knowledgeable guide. Took the tour with my wife who, being from England with no knowledge of American Football, didn’t have high hopes for the 90 minutes, but at the end of it she had to admit she had enjoyed it. Can’t give much higher praise than that!
John M — Google review
The overall experience was just okay. I liked the hall of fame room as you walk in the doors for the tour. I personally would have liked to see the displays focused exclusively on Bronco history and players instead of Colorado sports history in general. The tour in itself was pretty bland in comparison to other stadium tours we have taken such as the tours at SoFi Stadium and Allegiant stadium. Our tour at Mile High stadium showed some of the suites, but lacked exclusive access to the nicer suites and the owner suites that we were able to experience with other stadium tours. The tour also talked about other rooms, but never showed those rooms. Other stadium tours allow people to go on the field and actually do some fun activities such as kicking field goals, 40 yard sprints, throw footballs into targets, etc., but this tour lacked any of those fun activities or even the opportunity to step on the field. We also did not get to step into the locker room for the Broncos. We got to see the visiting locker room (which is an after thought, rightfully so). Im truly hoping that the Bronco's ownership decides to build a new stadium as their lease on Invesco Field ends in 2030. Broncos ownership can then build a stadium that rivals SoFi stadium. Invesco Field at Mike High is not very impressive compared to some of the newer stadiums especially when you see the broadcasters room being like an after thought storage room with their table covered with black electrical tape/duct tape for whatever reason. This stadium just feels like an office building. Another nice touch other stadium tours have is that you get a nice lanyard to commemorate your tour. This tour you get a generic piece of paper. Overall, the stadium tour at Invesco Field at Mile High needs to really step up their game on their tours. I would repeat other stadium tours, but not this one.

Civic Center Park, located in the heart of Downtown Denver, is a historic green space featuring fountains, statues, and a Greek amphitheater. This over 100-year-old park hosts numerous events throughout the year and is surrounded by official government buildings. Visitors can enjoy splendid paths and sculptures while taking in the iconic Capitol building with its gold leaf dome honoring the Colorado Gold Rush.
Civic center park over the years. There’s always an event going on during the summer. One of my favorite was Denver orchestra performed on 4th of July with fireworks. Now it’s a drone show. If there’s event going recommend parking far away or calling a ride share to the Denver art museum and walking a little bit. Deff a stable of down town Denver. They also host food truck Thursdays too!!

This review is regarding the concerts and shows that are hosted here. The porta potty situation is great, if you’re waiting in line chances are you haven’t walked down far enough, plenty of places to go. The food and drink options are plentiful although there can be a 25-30min queue to order, the food is generally made quickly. The wait isn’t a big deal if you’re at a show with some artists you don’t care to see. Perfect time to refuel and rehydrate. Garbage and recycling is plentiful so it’s easy to conscious. Security and police are plentiful but unless you’re looking for trouble, everyone understands you’re here to have a great time. The grass at the main stage is perfect if you dance without shoes. There is nature around you with dragon flies zooming around. Ride share is a short walk away. The architecture is beautiful. Room temp water bottles are available for free if you are toward the front row, handed out by security, so you don’t have to decide between losing your spot and hydration.

Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum totally rocked my expectations! The temperature inside was perfect, and I loved that it wasn't too crowded, so I could really take my time exploring. They have an incredible collection of aircraft, including real planes that served the U.S. military. I even got to check out a recreational helicopter and some amazing 1:1 scale models from war movies! The NASA history section was super interesting, and there was just so much to learn about aviation history. It's a great place to spend a couple of hours in a peaceful, recreational setting. Definitely a must-see for anyone interested in flight and space!

Absolutely the coolest air and space museum ever. Star Wars vehicles from Lucas Film, yes we’re nerds. My son (13) could see inspirations for Disney Planes (his favorite film growing up). My husband, huge aviation aficionado, knew all the things. I was amazed by the other stuff too - space, ballooning, info on Amelia Rose Earhart. And we visited on a free entry day. We loved it!

I was extremely fortunate to attend an industry trade show here. As a Long Island guy who grew up with Grumman making F-14s in my backyard, it was really a treat and privilege to have the access I had to this pristine and informative museum. A must do while in the area.

Wings Over the Rockies is guaranteed to bring out the little kid in adults and smiles to little kids. I went with interest but generally expecting standard aircraft museum stuff. I was pleased with the condensed but efficient layout and great presentation efforts that delivered history and trivia in an engaging manner. The museum is housed in a former Lowry Air Force Base hanger which helps bring history to life. The displays allow you to get close up to the aircraft. There are plenty of plaques with details on the planes along with nicely produced videos with interviews of pilots reminiscing about their experience with the various planes on display. This is all supplemented with knowledgeable docents that really know their stuff. I surprised myself when my friend and I decided to try the flight simulator that offers a wide range of aircraft to select for the experience. We had an absolute ball taking off and inspecting the front range of Colorado in an F4 fighter jet. It was actually capable of flying upside down but we decided to keep it upright. Wings Over the Rockies is definitely worth carving out some time to enjoy.

I could spend hours here. I'd swear these planes look like they can still be flying. Beautiful hangar, so much to see, even included Star Wars displays! Went there over the Father's Day weekend, so it was free for me and my son-in-law. I only paid for my daughter and granddaughter. My first visit to the museum. Wish I had come here sooner. Love the Rocket ice cream shop next door! There was nice waiting to buy or enter, but it did get busier into the late morning and early afternoon. Parking seems plentiful. I hope to revisit next year.

Located in Denver, Colorado, the Kirkland Museum of Fine & Decorative Art is a treasure trove of over 3,500 art nouveau, art deco, Pop Art and postmodern works. The museum showcases Western landscapes by Vance Kirkland and also features an extensive collection of international decorative arts and works by Colorado artists.
We visited on a Saturday in March near the end of the day and had almost the whole place to ourselves. If you're a fan of 20th-century interior decorative art the Kirkland is a must-see stop in Denver! Founded originally from the collection of Vance Kirkland, an internationally renowned painter who worked in multiple styles throughout his long career, with subsequent additions by his friend and trustee Hugh Grant (not the actor). Words can't do justice to just how phenomenal the collection is - it has to be seen to be believed! One of the staff said that the items on display at any one time only represent between 10-16% of the museum's total collection, so I can imagine that the curators rotate the items on display in the permanent collection sections as well as mount special exhibitions throughout the year. If you like mid-century American decorative art you will be glad you stopped by!
Dara G — Google review
Very interesting museum! It was actually really surprising to learn how many different artists/ sons & daughters of artists have once resided in, and taken great inspiration from Colorado. The building layout and studios were interesting. Admission price for an adult felt pretty pricey for how small the museum is and how quaint the special exhibits are. However, we were told this admission would also be valid for the Denver Art Museum next door so if you were to go to both it’s not too bad!
Connie M — Google review
This place is a gem. I almost didn’t go and I am so happy I did! It is part of art museum admission and honestly was my favorite part. An art deco heaven!

I always enjoy their collections. They have so many amazing pieces, and Vance Kirkland's art is just phenomenal. I love that they have a section of his real studio grafted onto the museum itself. The place is just classy all around. I've also had a few really nice dates here. It's a great spot in so many ways!
Eric T — Google review
This may be my favorite museum I’ve ever visited. It is relatively small, but the quality of their collection is incredible. Each room/gallery is a different era of design. It is centered around furniture, paintings, pottery, and functional art. The plaques + mobile guide have a ton of info. I went on a Sunday and it was not busy at all. If you are into design/architecture (esp. mid century/art deco) this place is a must-see!

Ashamed to admit I'd never heard of Vance Kirkland previously, but now he is one of my favorite artists and this is one of my favorite museums. Showcasing the evolution of modern art and design, the museum presents many unique pieces and I loved the emphasis on functional design through furniture, glassware, and ceramics. I was also extremely impressed by Kirkland's artwork, which he evolved through multiple eras. So glad we went, and recommend to anyone visiting Denver!

Loved this museum! It's cram packed full with period Antique Furnishings & Decorative Accessories. The Black American West Museum & Heritage Center is housed in a Victorian home and offers a unique perspective on the history of African-Americans in the Wild West. It dispels the myth of a predominantly white Wild West by showcasing the significant roles played by Black pioneers as miners, soldiers, homesteaders, teachers, ranchers, cowboys, and more. The museum is located in the former home of Dr. Justina Ford, Colorado's first Black female doctor.
What a wonderful way to see history in a more accurate way. This is my second visit in a decade and I learn more about the central role that Black Americans played in the West each time. Well worth the trip to 5 Points.

When I went they had exhibits about notable Black history in medicine, mining, ranching, homesteads, and military. The building itself has historical significance and the story of how they moved the building to its current location was incredible. The museum hosts gave a great intro to the museum and subjects and were enjoyable to talk to. Is a gem of a museum and we are lucky to have it here in Denver! (I spent an hour here during my visit)

A great way to spend an hour. The museum is self guided and self paced, with exhibits on two floors of this historic house. You will definitely learn something new - and why not learn while looking at historic artifacts?
Pacifica D — Google review
Wonderful few hours learning about the contributions of African Americans to our great country’s history.
C B — Google review
Well done museum on some of the amazing African Americans in Denver and Colorado. The house (Dr. Ford's original home & practice) has been well renovated. This was a great place to learn about Denver's history.

Sights & Landmarks
Denver Millennium Bridge, the world's first cable-stayed bridge, offers pedestrians stunning skyline views through stairs or a glass elevator. The bridge was built in 2002 to connect the 16th Street Mall with Commons Park, overcoming the barrier of railroad tracks and light rail. This area was once abandoned industrial land but has since been redeveloped into a vibrant neighborhood with parks, walking and biking trails, and access to the LoHi neighborhood.
There's 'love locks' on the bridge. Pretty cool. I like living here and being able to visit places like this and feeling like I'm in California...or you know... just on a vacation somewhere. There's scooters to rent if you want to ride trails and see a lot more faster. There's TONS of little shops and restaurants here and on 16th street mall. Good times.

Does the job well. Some stairs up and some down and you're across. Also looks pretty at night too.

Beautiful area for a nice lunch and walk. Just a few blocks from Union station. This was my first time in Denver and I really enjoyed staying in this area.
Nereida C — Google review
What a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of the Union station area. The 200 foot high cable suspension bridge is like a gateway to paradise on the other side of it. It’s a great spot for photos and views. A nice selection of eateries and a nice wine and liquor shop are nestled into the area. There is a great park towards the backside of the bridge and lots of greenery and things for kids to do. A small fountain provides a cool mist on those warmer days and there are some photo props for great pictures with the bridge in the background. The area is ADA compliant with elevators to access the top of the bridge on both sides.
Its L — Google review
A nice bridge that takes you to the main area of downtown and to Union Station. It was clean, good security, great views, and well-running elevators on each side of the bridge. Worth coming here for a view of the city!

Always love my walks with this view🤍🌿

A photogenic, modern bridge in downtown Denver. Looking gorgeous at any time of the day and any season of the year. Very easy to access from Union Station and a great spot to take a photo souvenir. The bridge is built over train tracks and connects businesses around Union Station with the riverfront green belt and many new apartment buildings on the other side of the tracks.

First of all, the architecture. Fabulous. I was very impressed by that and I also loved the wings that are located after the briged. It's a nice place, quiet, with a lot of space and really beautiful. Visit recommend 💯💯💯

Park
Commons Park is a popular urban park located between the South Platte River and the LoDo neighborhood in Denver. It features jogging paths, a riverfront trail, benches, and shady spots for relaxation. The park is known for its verdant hills with curving bike paths, modern art installations, and the iconic Millennium Bridge connecting it to the 16th Street Mall.
I need to mention thanks to the city of Denver this park still appears clean and the river kind of clean despite of some people vandalizing this precious park. People enjoy clean environment, safe and free access to it.There is a some young or old people who don’t respect or are conscious about how much they damage nature, animals, and the beauty of the city of Denver. Please if you use the park pick up your trash and don’t damage the property neither nature. Imagine if someone comes and marks your body with pain without your consent and they call it art. How you will react if someone throws trash at you? Let’s clean after ourselves and be respectful with public places and go to the library get a note book and draw on it. Please keep the parks clean and safe. If we still want to have beautiful place we need to take care of it every one not only the city of Denver. If will be nice to have cámaras direct to the police stations so when someone throws trash or vandalism the parks police can imprison the delinquents or give fines or time to volunteer pick up trash and cleaning the city. Thank you to all people who love the parks and treat it with respect.Lets place some trash cans too.

Great place to bring your dog and kids ! Great walking trails , not a far walking distance from Dave’s hot chicken which I liked. After a day of swimming in the river and a walk we enjoyed some chicken 🍗 on another note closest bathroom we could find was by the dog park which was not to far but wish there was more restrooms. My kids had fun ! I recommend this park whether it’s for swimming in the river ,tubing , walking your dog or even just hanging out to enjoy the weather and the views.
Aleigha M — Google review
Walked through late night. It's quiet and wide open. Seems safe because people pass by frequently and with police presence on one end of the park. Probably prettier in the daytime.

Commons Park in Denver offers a serene escape amidst the urban hustle. With its sprawling green meadows and well-maintained pathways, it's perfect for leisurely walks or playing with pets. This place also have a washroom. The park's river trail and picturesque bridge add to its charm, offering scenic views worth capturing. While my visit during autumn revealed a subtle beauty with fewer leaves, I can only imagine the park's vibrant allure during the blossoming spring season. A delightful spot to unwind and connect with nature in the heart of the city.

My favorite picnic spot. One huge hill where everyone hands out if the weather is good. So fun on summer days. Great hills. Few off leash dogs in select areas.
Hope M — Google review
One of the prettiest parks downtown. Conveniently located next to Union Station, there are public restrooms here and lots of space for dogs. There is a bike path that runs along the river and they frequently host events here. This is a beautiful well kept park. Great place for a picnic.
Cliff S — Google review
Commons Park is one of Denver’s true gems — a beautiful, sprawling green space right in the middle of the LoDo district along the Platte River. It’s the perfect mix of urban and natural, offering peaceful views, walking trails, and plenty of open space to relax and unwind. The park is incredibly dog-friendly, which makes it a favorite for pet owners (my pup loves it here!). Whether you're going for a jog, enjoying a picnic, or just soaking in the scenery, Commons Park offers a much-needed escape without ever leaving downtown. A must-visit for locals and visitors alike!
Cory S — Google review
Commons Park is a gem in the heart of the city. The green spaces along the river offer a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The park is ideal for taking a leisurely walk or jog, and the views of the city from the center lawn are great. It is also part of a larger network of parks along the South Platt River trail, providing a lovely green belt for runners and cyclists. The park is also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for pet owners. One of the highlights of the park is the small mount where people gather throughout the day, especially during sunset. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the river and city skyline.
