Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
La Loma is a renowned family-run restaurant in Denver, serving traditional Mexican cuisine since 1981. The upscale-rustic atmosphere and lovely patio make it a popular spot for enjoying award-winning food and margaritas. The restaurant's specialties include sizzling fajitas, fresh tableside guacamole, stuffed sopapilla, chile relleno, chicken flauta topped with guacamole and sour cream, and famous green chile.
The food was delicious, although I must admit it’s hard to truly impress me with cuisine alone. What absolutely stood out, however, was the service—100%. Coming from the restaurant industry myself, I can confidently say this was top-tier hospitality. We were amazed by the atmosphere! The entire team works in perfect harmony, creating an unforgettable experience. From the very first moment, you feel right at home. Every request was heard, and every wish was thoughtfully fulfilled. This restaurant is a true gem—where exceptional service meets an inviting atmosphere.
Iryna H — Google review
The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant. Inside was really cute, service was awesome. The chips and salsa were SO good. The reason I gave it a four was the meat was a little dry (chicken and brisket) but other than that it was good.
Megan D — Google review
Downtown Denver never disappoints and this Mexican place was BY FAR phenomenal! Still drooling over the food we ate. Outstanding service for being a busy Sat night. We got the shared fajita- fresh and flavorful toppings and juicy chicken. Salsa and guacamole top tier 10/10 recommend this restaurant when visiting Denver. We will be back soon ✌🏼
Destiney M — Google review
This has to be one of the top five traditional Mexican spots for me. The drinks were incredible and the food absolutely outstanding. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, conveniently located around a lot of hotels and businesses which makes us an ideal spot for happy hour events. I definitely will be adding this to my list of stop in spots when I’m back in Denver.
Kelly S — Google review
Excellent all around. I miss the old location in the house by the stadium, but Savina's just justice to La Loma down to the original stained glass from the cantina and photos on the walls. I ordered chicken fajitas and a couple el Diablo Margaritas. I highly recommend both. Fried ice-cream is also excellent and slightly better than it used to be up on the hill.
Adam P — Google review
If you love green chile, this is the place to go. I grew up in Colorado, and sadly have missed the type of Mexican food I grew up with living in Illinois now. This place has delicious food. If you aren’t sure about green chile, they offer a sample (comes with a fresh tortilla).
Kathleen D — Google review
In the heart of downtown Denver right next to the Brown Palace. Place is a bit upscale from your traditional Mexican joint, but it has character for being downtown. I didn't have a reservation at dinner time, but the hostess was nice and advised 20 mins was reasonable, and she was very nice in keeping an eye for earlier seating. Started with the chips and salsa. Great salsa then went with the guacamole, was delicious. I had the Mexico City Street Style Tacos with carnitas, and they did not disappoint. The house Margarita was delicious and well balanced. Rice and beans are very authentic. Server Nick was attentive, knowledgeable, and courteous . Great place for Mexican food if you are downtown. Parking challenging and traffic can be a hassle but worth it
Gus J — Google review
With more than 4,400 positive reviews, I doubt that I have much to add. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the waitstaff are friendly and attentive, and most importantly the food is very, very good. The chips and salsa were tasty. We arrived in time for happy hour so we ordered margaritas on the rocks and frozen. The amount of tequila was generous. Our table also ordered the happy hour appetizers. They arrived piping hot. For our entrees, we ordered the Carne Guisada, the Anniversary Plate, and a burrito. The burrito was topped with chili and served with rice and beans. The Anniversary Plate included a stuffed sopapilla, chili rellano, and chicken flauta topped with guacamole, sour cream, and the restaurant’s famous green chili sauce. The restaurant is popular so reservations are a good idea. Highly recommend!

Los Chingones RiNo is a vibrant Mexican eatery and lounge located in the heart of Denver's RiNo neighborhood. Chef Troy Guard brings a fresh and innovative approach to Mexican cuisine, offering creative tacos and cocktails in a graffiti-splashed setting. The 90-seat rooftop terrace provides an ideal spot for outdoor dining, with stunning views and a lively atmosphere.
I've only been here during their tacos after dark menu is available but I still enjoy the food and drink selection. The roof top is a vibe and the staff has always been prompt and friendly. The nachos are really good and they have pickled jalapenos which is a nice and different touch. The music is a vibe as well

Love this place. I don’t know what magic the chef uses on the brussel sprouts and that ear of corn (omg)… but I ate all my food embarrassing fast 😂 The fish tacos and margaritas are also pure deliciousness. We’ve only had the best servers and hosts here. Atmosphere and music are great. It’s one of our top 3 places to eat in Denver.
Jennifer D — Google review
I got the nopales and the Baja fish tacos. Nopales was interesting, it tastes a bit like pod beans. I loved the Baja fish taco. My friend got Duck confit taco, and she loved it too. We also got the elote, delicious too. The Mexican lager they have on draft is refreshing. The patio area has a chill vibe and can have a conversation with mild music in the background. They have tissue paper rolls instead of linen napkins, only improvement I’d love to see is having cloth napkins served along with cutlery instead would be great. Overall, decent spot, I’d come back.

Vanessa is amazing. This place is better than el Diablo down the street. She knows the menu better than any bartender / waitress I’ve ever met. She can tell you what to eat based on your taste buds. She is a true foodie! She knows the food of this menu at a level that just makes you want to order and try and even explore new things. Come here and talk to her tell her what you’re interested in and you won’t be disappointed!!! I got the fish taco, the braised beef wild card and the one other. AMAZING!!

The kiwi margarita was bomb as well as the dragon fruit. The Birria taco needed more salt. The nachos were good. The roof top was nice but very hot to sit during the day in summer

Los Chingones RiNo in Denver’s vibrant RiNo Arts District is a must-visit gem that delivers an unforgettable Mexican dining experience! From the moment you step into this colorful, industrial-chic space, you’re enveloped in a lively atmosphere that blends modern flair with authentic Mexican vibes. The murals, exposed brick, and bustling energy make it the perfect spot for a fun night out. I’m giving this place a well-deserved 5 stars, largely due to the amazing tacos and the exceptional service from our server, Gaby. However, a slightly lackluster greeting from the front-of-house host was a minor hiccup that didn’t overshadow the overall brilliance of the visit. Let’s start with the star of the show: the tacos. They were nothing short of spectacular! Each bite was a burst of flavor, with perfectly balanced ingredients and fresh, high-quality components. Whether it was the tender carne asada, the zesty al pastor, or the creative vegetarian options, every taco was a masterpiece. The menu’s bold, innovative twists on classic Mexican dishes set Los Chingones apart, and the vibrant presentation only added to the experience. Pairing the tacos with a house margarita—crafted with just the right kick—made for a meal that left me craving more. What truly elevated this experience was our server, Gaby. She was an absolute rockstar! Her warm, genuine smile and attentive service made us feel like VIPs from the moment we sat down. Gaby’s knowledge of the menu was spot-on, and her recommendations were perfect. She checked in just enough to ensure we had everything we needed without being overbearing, and her infectious enthusiasm made the meal even more enjoyable. Gaby deserves a raise and a promotion to manager—she’s a true asset to Los Chingones and one of the main reasons I’ll be back soon! The only slight misstep came at the start. The front-of-house host with braids greeted us with a noticeably nonchalant attitude. Her demeanor felt detached, and when we asked how her day was going, her response of “I’m happy” didn’t match her flat tone or expression. It wasn’t the warm welcome you’d expect from such a vibrant spot, and it momentarily threw off the vibe. I’d encourage management to coach the host team on delivering a more enthusiastic first impression to match the restaurant’s lively spirit. Thankfully, Gaby’s stellar service and the incredible food quickly turned things around. The patio was a fantastic spot to soak in the RiNo energy, and the overall vibe of Los Chingones was electric. From the creative cocktails to the mouthwatering desserts, every detail was on point. This is the kind of place you bring friends, family, or a date for a memorable meal. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to indulge in those tacos again and, hopefully, see Gaby’s smiling face. Los Chingones RiNo, you’ve earned your 5 stars—keep shining!
Adam H — Google review
Awesome happy hour spot in RiNo. I split the tacos, guacamole, and corn dish. It was really good and I’ll be back! There are also pitchers of margaritas, but that doesn’t actually give you a discount so keep that in mind.
Tyler P — Google review
Los Chingones in RiNo is one of my favorite spots in Denver for tacos and good times. The food is consistently delicious — creative, bold flavors that really stand out. And the rooftop bar? One of the best in the city. It’s the perfect place to kick back, enjoy the views, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Prices can be a little on the higher side, but honestly, the quality of the food and the overall vibe make it worth it. If you're looking for a fun, lively spot with great tacos and even better rooftop energy, Los Chingones should definitely be on your list!

Nestled in an unexpected location alongside a gas station and car wash, Garibaldi Mexican Bistro is a hidden gem that offers a delightful array of homestyle tacos, burritos, and traditional Aztec dishes. Despite its modest setting, the menu boasts an impressive selection that will leave you craving more.
I've been to the Gothic Theater for shows over 30 times and never knew about this spot. It's easy to overlook because it's part of the gas station, but won't pass it up ever again. I will be coming back everytime I'm across the street for a show! I got the Pambazo Torta. It was GREAT! The chips and salsa was some of the best too. Can't wait to come back and try other things out

Secret gem off Broadway. You wouldn't even know it was there if there wasn't such stellar reviews. Thank G for reviews! This place was amazing. Very friendly staff, quick service, and legit prices. Went for the Torta w/ carnitas. Spicy, juicy, warm, and fantastic! Could only eat half which is a win so I could eat it twice in one day. Chips and salsa for dine in was a pleasant surprise. Salsa was delicious. Highly recommend this place if you're anywhere close by!

This place is incredible!! I have been coming here since 2022 and it never ceases to amaze me. The food is delicious and fresh, and the staff are wonderful and helpful! They have multiple gluten free and vegetarian options which are clearly labeled on the menu. When in doubt, just ask and they will know. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Garibaldi catered our wedding and we could not be more happy! They were so friendly and easy to work with and the tacos were amazing! Highly recommend Garibaldi for anyone planning a wedding or other event!

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the best place to go! Don’t let the unassuming restaurant front and location next to the gas station fool you. The decor inside makes for great vibes and complements the Mexico City-inspired food. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to give recommendations. I was especially impressed by the huarache. Definitely up there with the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. On top of that, the portion could’ve been enough for two meals. Great bang for your buck. Cannot recommend this place enough!
Alex H — Google review
We were excited to finally try this place out. Got tacos and asada fries to go. Fries were not cooked to crispy before being smothered so they were extra soggy. The 4 different taco meats we tried were super dry, hard pass on their chorizo. The corn tortillas were on point though.
Amber — Google review
I was very excited to try this place but its alright. I expected the big pizza looking dish to be cut in pieces they said I had to eat it like a taco but its HUGE! and the knife we got wasn't enough. The pambazo was probably the best thing I had. we will give it one more chance and go from there!

Adelitas Cocina Y Cantina is a lively Mexican restaurant located in Platt Park, offering a festive atmosphere and a menu featuring traditional Michoacán cuisine. The restaurant is known for its popular Taco Tuesdays, where guests can enjoy $1 tacos piled high with toppings. In addition to the taco classics, the menu also includes vegetarian options and other traditional dishes like mole enchiladas, carne asada, and rustic posole.
I think I saw heaven when I started eating the tacos. We had just hiked in sweltering heat for hours at several Red Rocks parks, so it was a joy to enter and see such a magnetic atmosphere. Even double-wrapped, the tortillas did rip from being soggy. Food was great nonetheless.
Shreya R — Google review
My server was great. She was informative and attentive. I got a margarita and asked for a reposada. It was difficult to drink as it was not smooth. Tasted like Cuervo gold tequila. The tacos overall were tasty. Carnitas had a little more salt than I’d like, the Pastor had ok flavor, sauce was a little gritty. The asada was tasty. Once I add the salsa that was provided, it made the tacos taste better. I believe that a taco should have enough flavor to hold its own.
Azsquid2008 — Google review
We didn't have a reservation on Thursday night, but we got a table in 5 minutes. They have a very nice summer patio as well tables inside in a deemed lounge area. The food was great. We had flautitas with lamb and enchiladas meat combo with few margaritas.

Marlin gives incredible service was super accommodating and made sure our food was perfect! As someone in the service industry I was very impressed and would recommend Merlin and this restaurant to any locals and bartenders looking for a chill spot with good food, great service, and mezcal options!
Chantal T — Google review
Quick to seat us during a dinner rush and food came out with in 10 minutes of ordering. I recommend the chips and salsa, mole chicken, carne asada burrito, and the naranja fresca if you like mezcal. They do single mezcal shots as well. Wish I could've tried more of the menu, all the food looked good.
JL W — Google review
I come here every week, it’s a staple for my boyfriend and I. Every time we order take out, something is wrong though. Today I ordered take out and paid $12 for the deli side rice, the container isn’t even nearly full. I also ordered a bean and cheese burrito, and it’s quite literally a rice burrito, no beans and no cheese… It’s been quite disappointing the last few times we’ve been or ordered to-go. I never write reviews, but I love this place so much and it’s disheartening when an order gets messed up this badly.
Bree V — Google review
My table was for five people, and after ordering, our food was ready in literally 10 minutes, even though the place was packed! And everything was delicious. Sorry for the photos 😅we couldn't wait to take them before we started eating.

El Taco De Mexico is a Denver institution that has been serving traditional Mexico City-style dishes since 1985. The restaurant gained national recognition when it won the James Beard Foundation Americas classic award. Known for its best green chile in town, it offers a variety of options including tacos, smothered burritos, and a special breakfast with eggs, rice, beans, ham, bacon, potato and tortillas.
Denver's food scene is vibrant and constantly evolving. However, I'm pleased to see that some classic spots continue to endure. El Taco de Mexico is truly a delightful gem.

El Taco de Mexico is a Denver institution, and their smothered green chili relleno burrito is hands-down the best I’ve ever had—comforting, spicy, and packed with flavor. The house-made salsa is insanely delicious, with just the right kick to keep you coming back for more. Every time I visit Denver, I make it a point to stop here and load up—yes, I bring a dozen burritos back to Florida with me! The flavors are authentic, bold, and unforgettable. If you haven’t experienced El Taco de Mexico, you’re missing out on one of the city’s true culinary treasures.
Sean S — Google review
I was somewhat, ever so slightly, skeptical of this place at first. To begin with, I had already dined at El Jardin twice while in town and that absolutely blew my mind/set the bar pretty high and though El Taco De Mexico is very much highly acclaimed, I just took the "eh, I guess" approach towards the place and brushed it off. Well, before leaving town for good this morning I decided to come down and give it a try. I ordered the smothered chile relleno burrito that they're famous for and well,.....there's a reason they're famous for it. The flavor of the chile verde that everybody speaks of? Well, it really is just that. The burrito itself is delicious but the green chile is absolutely amazing. It is so good, that I can still taste it even now, many hours later, while writing this review. It is simply thee best burrito (even better than the chile verde burrito at Cielto Lindo in Los Angeles, CA). It is my new #1 burrito (putting Cielto Lindo in 2nd place). Also, the lady working the front counter/taking orders was absolutely magnificent. If you ever find yourself in Denver, visiting this place is an absolute MUST.
Eric J — Google review
My favorite spot to grab a breakfast burrito in Denver. Being from Texas we do not do green chili correctly and that is what excels at this place. Everything is made from scratch with the exception of the tortilla which is still high quality. Service is quick and curious. My go to is chorizo egg rice and beans.

Diamond in the Rough! Fabulous Special burrito which was pork verde! Soooo GREAT!! Definitely making this a pit stop every time I come through here! Thank you! 😊

Great food on Santa Fe in the arts district. I come from South Florida, the bridgeway to Latin America, and I know what tacos and chili rellenos should look and taste like. My friends cannot stop saying how good it is! In a big city full of bland cookie-cutter restaurants, this stands out.
Manuel A — Google review
Been eating there since they opened and it's still the same...the Huevos Rancheros is my favorite dish in the entire world. I get it to-go even more often, though. Large beverage-style cup of green chili, refried beans, rice and onions with cilantro, 4 small containers of salsa (which is more than enough to cover all that food)...$40.00...I cook my own eggs and make huevos rancheros at home...makes 4 giant servings...it's ethereal...it's all best-of-denver for flavors, very spicy but sneaks up on you...eat at the counter or in one of the beat-up booths to catch some fabulous people watching...I grew up in Brighton CO when it was a mexican food/tex mex mecca and this is the real deal...but like all restaurants, you have to get the items that fit your personal palette...I always get a side of crema for the huevos, both there and at home

Chili Verde is a delightful family-owned restaurant nestled in the vibrant Jefferson Park neighborhood, where modern decor meets a warm, inviting atmosphere. This gem specializes in authentic Mexican cuisine inspired by Pueblan heritage, showcasing dishes that highlight the beloved poblano pepper. A must-try is their Puebla-style chilaquiles—crispy corn tortilla chips sautéed in zesty salsa verde and topped with queso fresco and sour cream.
Amazing food and atmosphere, and the service was excellent! The staff was accommodating of our party size and they gave great recommendations as this was our first time there. Their recommendations didn’t disappoint and we had such a positive dining experience. We’ll be back!!

We ordered take out from them and it was disappointing. The food was overpriced and truly did not look edible. We ordered nachos, ceviche, calamari and shrimp over rice. The shrimp over rice portion was basically a snack; it didnt even fill a whole plate (see the pic). The nachos and ceviche didn’t look good either. The calamari was fine, but definitely not traditional. This was our first restaurant in Denver and unfortunately we ended up extremely dissatisfied.

I went on a Saturday night with a friend, and the experience was truly lovely. The atmosphere was calm, and the staff were warm and welcoming - a true reflection of Mexican hospitality. Our server was attentive and friendly, and the food runner made the experience even better - knowledgeable and personable. The food was great! The salsas were fantastic, especially the Salsa Macha, and the freshly made blue corn tortillas were amazing - soft, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I loved that they also served beans with the chips and salsa, and the guacamole was simple yet delicious. I ordered the Chile Verde y Chile Morita, a dish that reminded me of my home country Mexico, while my friend had the Crepas Poblanas and loved them. The staff even treated us to dessert, which was such a thoughtful touch. I highly recommend this spot - I can’t believe I’d never been here after living in Denver so long! I’ll definitely be coming back. If anything, I’d love to see more dishes from Puebla, like Cemitas, Memelas, or Pipián Verde. ¡Lo recomiendo mucho!

The food was so flavorful and fresh tasting! The service was excellent! They went above and beyond in the service. They were so friendly and did everything with a smile. The Crepe Poblanos was muy delicious!! The Platano Macho was a plantain dessert that was very delicious too. The coconut drink was superb! Go eat here! Upscale taste at reasonable prices.

This was simply one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. This restaurant has an identity crisis between trying to be authentic and modern Mexican at the same time. The service was pathetic and the food was bland. I asked people in the bathroom line if they liked their meal and they all felt the same way I did. Bad bad bad. I’ll use bullets to recap since there were so many issues: - They didn’t have prices on the vegetarian portion of the menu, which is about 25% of it. -They charged us for seafood enchiladas when nobody ordered seafood. To pay us back they handed us a $5 bill. -We had a reservation and it took 10 Minutes to seat us when there were many open and clean tables. -It took them 20 minutes to bring us our drinks in the beginning of the meal. -THEY CHARGE YOU FOR CHIPS AND SALSA THAT THEY GIVE YOU WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT!! -The margarita costs more than a mocktail, both of which were disappointing. -My meal was tiny and not worth $17. It was also piping hot and burned my mouth. -I asked for a beer and it took 15 minutes. They also were not knowledgeable about what beers were on tap and I had to ask 3 times for it. All in all, one of the worst spots to eat in Denver. Do not come here if you are hungry or want a good meal.

This amazing hidden gem lies on a busy stretch of Federal boulevard, but don't let that deter you at all! There's easy parking right around the corner on both side streets. The restaurants interior is really sleek and nice. The employees are super friendly and helpful and the food is absolutely totally awesome! You can even order an option for a breakfast burrito at dinner time! You should definitely eat at this restaurant. It's amazing.

Discovered this amazing hidden gem on the way home after a long day at a job site. Food, alcohol, and overall ambience is totally worth the visit for night of Spanish fusion cuisine that will leave you full and big smile on your face. Also shout out the very awesome wait staff here. Looking forward to returning!

Dos Santos, located in Uptown, is a Mexican restaurant known for its innovative cuisine and vibrant atmosphere. The menu features traditional and contemporary guacamole preparations, as well as aguachili with lime-cured shrimp, onions, avocado and Serrano chiles. The star of the show is the soft corn tacos, particularly the Del Mar with beer-battered shrimp, sliced cabbage, pickled onions, fried leeks and habanero aioli.
Next level tacos. Authentic salsas. Margaritas poured with house made ingredients. Delicious vegetarian options. Check out their happy hour 3-6pm, cheap prices for what you get including $5 drinks. In a city full of great Mexican food, this place is top tier for tacos and margaritas. Friendly staff in a welcoming environment with a western design. Highly recommend!!

Inventive tacos and Hispanic adjacent fare in modern digs with an impressive tequila/mezcal spread. The whipped cotija with honey was the highlight of the meal. Just an interesting mix of flavors with some fancy cut vegetables. Of the tacos, the barbacoa was the weakest, tasting a bit overcooked and without enough of the kimchi to make a noticable impact to the taste. The pork belly taco was great; I'll definitely order that again. The special, a seared ahi taco with a pineapple slaw of some sort on top, was delightful. My partner went with the brunch menu chilequiles. It came with chicken tinga, a red sauce, a spicy orange one, and a couple eggs. Well executed, and a good value for the money. I'll be back on a Tuesday for the specials, or make a late night stop for the late night specials some time soon.

Yeah! I must admit, I ordered the Tinga chips with the expectation that the chicken would be dry, which is a bit of a letdown considering I’ve lived in Denver for quite some time now. But to my surprise, the chicken was actually quite moist and flavorful. We also ordered a few other tacos, and they had an impressive selection of different flavors to choose from. Overall, the tacos were delicious, and I highly recommend visiting them for Taco Tuesday. They offer great deals, and the service was exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the shared tip pool system, as it showed that the staff worked as a team to provide excellent service.

Tacos Tequila Whiskey is a lively Mexican eatery known for its modern twist on street tacos and top-notch margaritas. Despite the controversy over its original name, the restaurant offers an array of delectable dishes, including the popular lengua tacos made with triple-cooked Colorado beef tongue. Guests can also indulge in craft cocktails and must-try starters before savoring house-made churros paired with Mexican hot chocolate dipping sauce.
Fantastic Restaurant Week experience! TTW had great food and great service. The appetizers were staggered and tasted so good. We got the gringo (spicy) queso and Brussel sprouts. Taco wise- things were unbelievable! Fantastic quesobirria and barbacoa tacos, along with stellar veggie tacos! Lastly, the tres leches and sopapilla were delicious caps to the meal! Highly recommend stopping by TTW for a meal!

Some of the best food you can get in Denver. Don’t miss the queso, the guac, or the unique agave fried chicken tacos. The staff is wonderful—Traci was a fantastic server with phenomenal service. We’ve lived here over 20 years…This place is must-visit!

I've never had a bad experience here. Driving from Wisconsin to Oregon and made the trip extra long just to come eat, drink and be merry at Tacos Tequila Whiskey! Serrano marg? Yes, among other beverages. Queso fundido? Yes. Assortment of tacos? The best I've ever had. Update: they made us churros for coming all that way just to eat at their establishment!
Jacob D — Google review
Tacos, Tequila & Whiskey has quickly become one of my Denver favorites. The tacos are incredible—especially the carnitas and cordero—and the queso fundido with tequila and chorizo is a must-order. Drinks are just as good, with the hibiscus margarita being a standout. Everything about this place works: the vibe, the service, and the food. It’s the perfect spot for a casual date night or dinner with friends.

I honestly loved this place! The service and atmosphere were 10 out of 10 amazing. I got the drink of the day which was a grilled pineapple margarita which I thought was so fun. Everything is a good price and the service is really quick. Our waitress was super attentive and just was amazing overall. Some of the tacos tasted better than the others, as I kind of expected they would, and I wouldn’t order the chicken skin appetizer again if I were to go back. For parking, we parked on the street and walked in, which ended up being free but I could see it being a bit more of an issue on a busier/weekend type of evening. Overall, I would recommend 100%.
Jasmine T — Google review
As the main ingredient being grease in my chorizo breakfast burrito I will not be back. It dripped all over me and my car. For $9 a burrito you could at least drain the grease from the chorizo before wrapping it up. It soaked through 5 napkins and the bag and dripped all over my pants, bag, and passenger seat. I do not recommend going on this food adventure before work or if you have to be anywhere important.
Emily H — Google review
My friends and I have been going to TTW for a decade, we love you! Up until recently, you had, in our opinion, the best brussels sprouts in town. That appetizer was so perfect, it spawned an inside joke among our friend group. We'll seek out brussels sprouts at other restaurants, and every time we have some, we ask ourselves "How does this compare to Tacos Tequila Whiskey?" We went in yesterday and saw that they were removed from the menu. It broke our hearts! Everything else - the tacos, the drinks, the service - was still the incredible experience we've come to love over the years. Bring back the brussels! We love you guys!

I always have a good time at TTW. The variety in taco options is great and the casa del coin margarita always hits the spot. The outdoor seating is nice that it's both outside and out of the sun and the staff are always friendly. Love that this place is so close and a consistent good time!

Restaurant
D'Corazon Mexican Restaurant, located in the old spot of Las Delicias in LoDo, offers a warm and homey vibe with its yellow walls and swift service. The place is usually bustling, especially during weekday lunch hours. Their menu features a variety of Mexican comfort food such as carnitas and crispy tacos, along with potent margaritas to wash it all down.
Outstanding! The food, drinks, service and the vibe were all excellent! It’s not fancy, stuffy, reserved or ostentatious; actually it was packed with regular folks casually dressed, smiling, laughing and having a great time! They brought us hot homemade chips with an excellent homemade salsa to start and were quick with cocktails. Then the chicharrones, which were different than I’d had before, really meaty, rustic; tossed with masa and seasonings (I think that’s what they did) and fried, YUM! I had the best mole I’ve ever tasted and my wife loved her carne adobada. The beans and rice were also excellent, a good item to compare from restaurant to restaurant for the cook’s skill and attention to detail. Only one problem, it’s downtown in the middle of never ending construction, but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. This will be our go to place when downtown.
Michaelangelo — Google review
Visited D’Corazon on a weekday evening with a party of three and arrived around 7 PM. As expected for a popular downtown spot, indoor seating was full, and we were offered a table on the outdoor patio. Despite the chill in the air, the ambiance and quick service made up for it. We ordered the Chicken Mole, Steak Fajitas, and Carnitas Adobada. All three dishes were flavorful and well-prepared — the mole had a rich, deep flavor, the steak was tender and sizzling hot, and the carnitas had a great smoky marinade that really stood out. Drinks-wise, we tried the Spicy Margarita. It had a definite kick — maybe a bit too spicy for some — but it balanced well with the citrus and tequila, making it a bold, refreshing choice. Overall, a great experience with authentic flavors and solid service. Would definitely recommend for casual dining in downtown Denver.

We had an outstanding dining experience here! We ordered the Chicken Mole, Steak Fajitas, and Carnitas Adobada — each dish was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. To drink, we tried the Spicy Margarita, which delivered a bold kick while still balancing perfectly with the citrus and tequila — a refreshing yet adventurous choice. The meal started with hot, homemade chips and a fantastic salsa, quickly followed by cocktails and the most unique chicharrones we’ve ever had — meaty, rustic, and irresistibly seasoned.

My husband and I were visiting from Canada and decided to check this place out after reading all the great reviews. We tried the Enchiladas and Chile Relleno—absolutely blown away by the flavors! Everything was so delicious. The staff were super polite and welcoming, and we loved the vibe of the place. Definitely a highlight of our trip!

If you’re from the south and miss Mexican restaurants with the flavors and style of them, D’Corazon is for you. It was the best Mexican I’ve had in Denver - casual atmosphere, quick service, delicious and hot food. The enchiladas sauce was flavorful + beans and rice were hearty portions. The housemade salsa was also a shining star, chunky and a little spicy kick. Such a great downtown spot and definitely recommend

After I moved to Colorado, I felt like I was missing something and constantly asking myself "where the hell is the GOOD Mexican food?". Tried just about every place under the sun near the downtown area, and I can confidently say that this restaurant blows everyone else away. - Family owned, they take a long break or two during the year to have some time off. - Fantastic service, I've never felt like I had to wait long for another drink - Amazing food with generous portions, I always have delicious leftovers to take home - Very close to Union station area, you can walk no problem. - NORMAL PRICES. The entrees are mostly all around 15$ or less, drinks are not expensive. I routinely eat here with my partner, I don't think we've ever gone over 80$ for the two of us to get plenty full and drunk (including the tip). Highly recommend the tamales, they are consistently fantastic. Literally my only complaint is that y'all aren't open just an hour later, I can't get dinner after work!

Went on a Monday around 7:30, busy but comfortable. No wait, drinks, appetizers, and food came out quick. Ordered the #6 grande combo, DELICIOUS! 10 out of 10, go try it if you’re craving real Mexican.

The food at D'Corazon is excellent! I have been searching for great Mexican food in Colorado for 8 years and I can say the search is over! We had the Chili Relleno, Chimichanga with carnitas and a shredded beef enchilada. The green chili and the salsa were spicy enough to bring out the flavors without being too hot. SOL Mexican Cocina is a local chain offering Baja-style cuisine in an upscale setting. With its wall-to-wall windows, the Cherry Creek location provides a breezy Baja escape. Since its arrival in Colorado in 2016, this California-based chain has been delighting patrons with dishes like creamy goat cheese enchiladas and smoked salmon tostadas seasoned with chile con limon.
SOL is a fantastic high end Mexican restaurant. It's a perfect place to take your significant other on a date night. The staff was very friendly and attentive and answered our questions on the menu. They seemed well organized and attentive. The food was also delicious. I lived everything we ordered. And I love all the margarita options they had on the menu. The guacamole appetizer was fantastic and I highly recommend it. This place has a very lively ambiance with modern and stylish decor. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for date night or high end Mexican cuisine with friendly staff.

Sol Mexican Cocina in Cherry Creek is such an underrated spot. The food is inspired by Baja California and puts a really fresh, coastal spin on Mexican classics—and it works so well. I tried the grilled sweet corn (loaded with flavor), almond-lemon crusted fish over esquites, warmed goat cheese with chipotle syrup, the TJ Caesar salad, and wagyu steak with chimichurri. Every single dish was excellent. Service was friendly, the space is stylish but relaxed, and the overall experience was fantastic. If it’s been a while since your last visit, this is your sign to go back!

SOL Mexican Cantina in Cherry Creek is such a fun spot! We had a good experience from start to finish. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, and the guac was lovely—just the right balance of creamy and tangy. The freshly made veggie chips were the real standout, though—so unique and delicious. We also loved the full fried tortilla served with our guac and chips; it was such a fun and tasty touch. Everything needed a dash more flavor, but the presentation made up for anything missing. Our server was incredible—super knowledgeable and friendly. We even let her pick our drinks for us, and she absolutely nailed it. Every cocktail she chose was spot-on and paired perfectly with our food. She even brought salsas that she thought would pair well with our items. The ambiance was great too. We sat in the indoor/outdoor bar area, and the breeze from outside added such a nice, relaxing vibe to the meal. Overall, SOL Mexican Cantina delivered on all fronts—amazing food, great drinks, and a perfect atmosphere. It’s definitely a spot we’ll come back to!

We went because I saw this restaurant listed on the “Restaurant Week” and I have no regrets! The staff was welcoming, the ambiance was romantic, and we appreciated the manager stopping by and asking how things were going. The waiter seemed busy, we went through our water and had to ask another waiter for a refill. We loved the tostadas; the best salsa we have ever had, and the black bean dip was delicious! Even tried to guess what chiles they used, but the manager was kind enough to share which ones they used! Thanks to the “bus boy” for being attentive and friendly, he gave us a to-go salsa. Across the board, the food was satisfactory, except for the rice (dry and some pieces were hard) and the Carnitas. My husband did not approve; they were salty and merely “boiled pork.”Granted, he makes some killer carnitas from Michoacan, Mexico.

Very good food spot! On the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. The frozen mango marg was really good and the homemade tortilla chips were crispy!!

We hosted a celebratory farewell lunch here and could not have asked for a better experience. The food was excellent - every dish we tried was flavorful and perfect for sharing. Our server, Thomas, went above and beyond to make the lunch extra special. He helped us choose a table that comfortably fit our whole group and even assisted in pulling off a little “surprise” when our colleague arrived. His recommendations for shareable dishes and drinks were spot on, and everyone left impressed. The atmosphere is fun and lively, making it a great spot for both casual get-togethers and special occasions. Between the delicious food, great vibes, and outstanding service, this restaurant is one I would highly recommend.

El Jefe Denver is a chic and coastal-inspired mexican restaurant serving up some of the best seafood, tacos, margaritas and more. Dishes like chicken tacos, enchiladas, chicharrones (deep-fried pig skin) and chicken adobo are all signature dishes which originated in the Spanish colonies but have been adopted as mexican classics.
Sunnyside's got a gem in this Mexican restaurant. Consistently excellent food and service make it a regular spot for me. The chef clearly has a deep understanding of Mexican cuisine and isn't afraid to innovate. Taco Tuesday is a must-try! My only suggestion? Elevate the tequila selection. It's currently the only area where they're falling short, especially for those of us who appreciate a well-curated tequila list. * Alright, gotta give this place 5 stars now! That Korean BBQ chicken taco last Tuesday was seriously amazing – the chef went above and beyond. Still holding out for a better tequila/mezcal selection though.

Solid brunch spot that can seat large parties at a late notice. Food was actually pretty dang good - with the highlight being the French toast. I think the amount of $$ you pay for the portion is bad though. It’s over $20 per portion including tax. And they sneak a 3.5% service charge in hoping you don’t notice and tip 20%

Excellent service and excellent food. Really can’t say enough good things about the service. They were super busy but the waiter was so attentive but not overly so. Just the perfect balance. The queso was excellent, and the guacamole was the best we’ve had at a restaurant. The birria ramen was excellent , as was the quesa birria. Slightly on the salty side but not so much that I’d rate it any less than 5 stars. The chicken plantain quesadilla was a great blend of sweet and savory. all around great experience.

I brought my parents here and they won't shut up about how great everything was....I have to agree with them. Atmosphere was great. We went for lunch on a Friday. We were seated right away. Finn was our server and he was fantastic. From the chips and salsa to the tacos, tortilla soup and kale salad everything was so taste with amazing flavors. The margaritas were also fantastic. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

I have been to Perdida twice. The Wash Park location. My favorites and what I order often: the jalapeño Caesar salad. With grilled chicken. It is so tasty. I always take a bit to go and can enjoy a bit of my salad the next day. The queso and guacamole and salsa are all excellent. I recommend all 3! The beans and rice on the side are SO good. Not just there to fill the plate. The fajitas are good and the tacos are also tasty. I am not much of a drinker but their NA beverages have great flavor and options. I’ve heard the margaritas are delicious. I went here on a date and with friends. Both spots were good for both. Servers were especially attentive and helpful. Losing a note for atmosphere as we really enjoyed it inside just happened to sit next to a table that slightly brought down our experience as it pulled the entire rooms attention. Overall 5 stars!! This restaurant is a vibe like no other in Denver. Everyone from the host to the manager was a delight! The whole staff was having fun and the energy resonated throughout the restaurant. Amazing decor and patio that feels like you're on vacation. The crowd was diverse, eclectic and beautiful. Bar staff was knowledgeable and drinks were delish, including NA options. All the food we had was outstanding.

The vibe and aesthetic of this restaurant are absolutely gorgeous—such a beautiful spot with a great atmosphere. I do wish we had been asked if we wanted to sit outside since it was a pretty warm day, but luckily the temperature ended up being manageable even though it did heat up a bit. Our waitress seemed a little frazzled and not as attentive as we had hoped, which made us feel a bit bad for her—I truly hope she has a better day next time. On the bright side, the general manager stopped by our table to check in, which was very warm and welcoming. As for the food, it was good with decent flavor. The tacos are a bit pricey—about $16–$20 for two tacos with rice and beans—but I understand that given the Washington Park location. Overall, I would definitely come back here for happy hour with friends. The ambiance alone makes it worth another visit!

We came here to celebrate a birthday a few weekend ago. We tried to make a reservation several days in advance for our group of 7 but they were already booked up. What a lucky day as there were 7 open seats at the bar! The service was friendly, everyone at the bar was attentive, and the food was amazing. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying something else!

I consider myself pretty high-maintenance when it comes to dining experiences. Perdida hits all the marks: beautiful and thoughtfully designed atmosphere, attentive and kind serving staff, and of course incredible food and drinks. Our go to spot to take any out of town guests! Favorite orders are the potato flautas, shrimp fajitas and passion fruit margaritas. Always looking forward to our next visit!!

Really fun decor and great cocktails and mocktails. Not the largest menu but they do great with what they have. Valet is also a plus and a rarity in that part of town

La Calle Taqueria Y Carnitas is a classic Mexican street eatery located in the Valverde neighborhood. It's a cozy counter-serve joint where locals and taco enthusiasts gather to enjoy traditional Mexican dishes. The menu features a variety of tacos, including slow-cooked pork, raw onions, cilantro, lime, and an array of fresh salsas.
Let's be honest, the outside didn't look appealing, but don't let that stop you. These tacos are amazing! Employees were super nice. We tried the pastor, asada, carnitas, pork sirloin, and barbacoa tacos. I usually go for the barbacoa, but I really liked the asada here. The rest were good too. The meats were tender and the salsa just added a kick to them. I recommend giving this place a try!

La Diabla Pozole y Mezcal is a vibrant Mexican restaurant and bar located in RiNo, Denver. Chef Jose Avila, originally from Mexico City, brings his culinary expertise to the Mile High City with a menu featuring an array of tempting options served on tortillas. While pozole is a highlight here, the tacos steal the show with varieties like al pastor, tres chorizo, pork chuleta enchilada, and carne asada paired with optional roasted bone marrow.
Excellent Food. The Lamb Superb!! And I don't eat lamb so that says a lot.. The rabbit was fabulous. My five year old granddaughter loved it. Unique experience. Do it just so you can say you did.

The food and drinks were good but overall a much more casual dining experience than expected. The interior is dimly lit and service was a bit slow. Tacos were tasty but came on paper plates - we ordered a few different ones and weren’t clear on which ones were which when served. The pastor (I think) which was cooked on a spit outside was delicious. Our waiter was curt with a dry, sarcastic sense of humor - we were amused but some would find it rude.
UnlockedVistas — Google review
First time visiting and, overall, I'd eat the food again but probably take-out. Initially, the atmosphere is actually just fine, with the dive bar feel and quieter outdoor patio depending on your preference. The food was solid and I was surprised with the generous portion of guacamole, and found the salsa flavorful. I thought the tacos were better than the sandwich. Biggest complaint was the cleanliness of the water cups and bathrooms. They give you green plastic cups and bottles of chilled water. The problem is that the cups were literally filthy. I used the water to dampen a napkin and wipe the bottom of the cup, and I've attached a picture that shows the result. They were so dirty that it was visible to the naked eye and every cup was the same. I ordered a coke and then used my bottle to drink water from. Additionally, I don't mind if the place is meant to feel like a bit of a dive bar but, being that it's a restaurant, the bathrooms should not have the dive bar vibe. The men's room is pretty worn out and the walls are covered in graffiti/markings. The paper towel dispenser didn't work so there was a large roll for people to pull from. A little too grungy all around for my liking.

Rebecca took amazing care of us. The food was INCREDIBLE!! The Pazole is huge, so don’t hesitate to share. Don’t miss the elote with bone marrow. I’ll be dreaming of it until I return to have it again!!

It is a total hole in the wall restaurant and not easy to find but it appears that is intentional. We walked past it twice. There were several small signs but with different names. I’m a fan of hole in wall restaurants so that was fine. It’s a fairly small place with tables very close together and it is very dimly lit. Most food is served on paper plates and water in non-labeled green and yellow cups. Beer and cocktails are served in real glass. The food was good and reasonably priced. We thought the service was fine compared to other reviews. I don’t think it’s their style to go out of their way to engage. The clientele was mixed. We went early ahead of a Rockies game so by 5 so it was quiet when we arrived. It filled up quickly with mostly people going to the game but we sat at the bar next to a highly intoxicated person hitting on the bar tender and talking about strip clubs so you never know. She never shut up but the bar tender handled her professionally. We had the guac which was really good but we didn’t care for chips served with it as they were either stale or intentionally not crisp. We had avg had a pork taco ($3). They were very small but very flavorful. My husband had a carne asada taco and I had a roasted chicken taco ($8 and each). They were good but fell apart after the first bite. I can’t say I’d go back intentionally but if happened by there , I might stop in.

restaurant. The first time I came here, I was blown away by the food It was so amazing. It wasn't amazing this time, but it was still good. The reason i'm giving this place 1 star is because of the service and the ambiance. It was so dark in there that I couldn't tell what taco I was eating and when we got the bill, we had to use our phone because it was so dark, you couldn't see the numbers. The service gets no stars because after dinner, we asked for our check and two drinks at the same time. We got our check first so we paid, and it took a while for us to get our drinks because service was slow. While my friend and I were drinking our drinks, we were approached twice by two different staff members telling us they needed our table. This was very upsetting to me because I don't appreciate being rushed out of a restaurant when i'm still drinking my drink after just paying a $200 dollar bill. What makes it worse is when I would tell them I ordered a drink and i'm still drinking it and that I will leave when i'm done, the staff would talk about us and laugh at us. I will never go back to this place again due to rude staff.
Jessica — Google review
The food was so amazing and the prices were reasonable given the portion sizes! Huge tacos and the bowl of pozole is enough for 2 people (we split it). My husband is from Mexico and said the food here tasted like he was in his hometown in Sonora. Great happy hour deals as well!
Maddy M — Google review
If you're on the hunt for authentic Mexican flavor with a twist, look no further than this vibrant joint that’s redefining what it means to eat tacos. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere buzzes with energy—colorful decor, Latin beats, and the unmistakable aroma of freshly grilled meats and roasted chilies. The taco lineup is the real star here.—juicy, seasoned just right, and nestled in warm, handmade tortillas. But what really sets this place apart is their fearless approach to tradition. Enter the tacos de chapulines—yes, grasshopper tacos—and they are phenomenal. Earthy, crispy, and surprisingly addictive, these tacos are paired with tangy guacamole and a squeeze of lime that balances everything out. It's a must-try for anyone with a curious palate or a love for regional Mexican cuisine.

Mr. Peralta Mariscos, located in Sunnyside, is a seafood restaurant known for serving some of the best ceviches in Denver. Despite being in a landlocked city, this spot offers fresh and delicious seafood dishes like ceviche and aguachiles. The dining room is lively with patrons enjoying large platters of ceviche and seafood cocktails while Mexican music plays in the background. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, providing great recommendations on menu items.

I was here with a friend and this is a great place to grab some food. I got the tampiquena, and it was absolutely delicious. I would prefer they didn't overcook my steak, but I should have asked. It was very delicious tho, my waiter gave me corn tortillas on the side. The waiter came and checked in every 10-15 minutes, which was very nice. Parking 🅿️ was easy. It's next to a park and they have a small parking lot on the side. I didn't like the layout of the place or how the inside looked, but the food overall is what I came for. I HIGHLY recommend eating here. The menu is so large, that you will always find something new to try. They also serve alcoholic beverages, but I didn't order one.

Nice local restaurant. It has a huge menu, but the shrimp dishes are the best.
Rick K — Google review
Dang was this disappointing. The ceviche tostada was decent, and the portions on everything were generous. Sadly, the fish and shrimp tacos were awful. Fried beyond all flavor, and the shrimp had their tails on still (!), so you had to awkwardly pull them out through the breading. Or chew on them and spit them out, gross. Served under an absolute mountain of slaw and the tiniest slivers of avocado. Very slow as well, we were here for almost an hour despite being the only people in. Bumping polka music so loud it was difficult to hear my dining partner.

Tamayo is a chic spot in Larimer Square that offers innovative Mexican cuisine and cocktails. The restaurant, led by prominent chef Richard Sandoval, serves creative spins on traditional Mexican dishes such as tuna tartare guacamole, smoked brisket tacos, crab and shrimp enchiladas, and corn husk-wrapped grilled striped bass.
A must-try spot. Very welcoming, and the staff was awesome. The food was so good; the tacos were some of the best I've had in a while. We shared four orders of tacos. The pork belly guacamole was good but probably not much different from just getting the guacamole. We got the Brussels sprouts and the churros. All good; we will be coming back!

With an upscale, lighter take on Mexican fare, this restaurant offers delicious food packed with an array of wonderful flavors. I've never been disappointed in Tamayo. Staff is friendly and fast, and the chef produces a wide variety of tasty treats.
Rachel C — Google review
If you’re looking for an elevated, vibrant Mexican dining experience right in the heart of Larimer Square, Tamayo by Chef Richard Sandoval is a standout. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere strikes a perfect balance of modern elegance and welcoming warmth. The décor is polished and stylish, and there’s a rooftop deck that gives the space a fresh, open feel. Chef Sandoval clearly brings his passion and heritage into every dish, blending bold, authentic Mexican flavors with creative presentation and modern techniques. The menu offers a range of dishes that manage to feel both adventurous and comforting — standouts like expertly seasoned tacos, guacamole and queso fundido, and more substantial entrees like their salmon a la Talla or enchiladas all leave an impression. Service is polished without being stuffy — attentive, friendly, and clearly proud of what the team is offering. The overall flow from ordering to plating is smooth, which enhances the experience rather than detracting from it. It’s also impressive how Tamayo has kept itself relevant over the years. Originally opening in 2001, it’s still regarded as a corner-stone of Denver’s restaurant scene, continually refreshing both its space and its menu to stay dynamic without losing what made it special in the first place.

Pineapple sage margarita was excellent, the chicken enchiladas were also good. The different salsas were very tasty. The guacamole was fresh and the corn chips hit the spot. Jack fruit taco were also great. The only reason for the 4 stars is the giant cockroach I saw crawling on the floor. I saw the manager take care of it and mentioned it to him so I appreciate it.

Tamayo is a cute spot for dinner or a date night. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The food was amazing. I loved the shrimp & crab enchiladas. The tortillas were homemade and the creamy guajillo sauce was to die for!

Tamayo is gorgeous inside, with fantastic service and great food. We had the fish tacos and chicken fajitas - both great. The cocktails (we had pisco sours and bourbon old fashioned) were also delicious. Would absolutely recommend.
Lize P — Google review
Tamayo is an up scale restaurant with a flare on Mexican cuisine. We’ve heard about Tamayo and finally decided to give it a go. The decor is nice, the staff were really nice, and the food was good but at a high price. It would be good place for date. However, I think it’s only a try only once restaurant unless you don’t mind spending money. What we got for appetizers. We got the signature salsa for $11 that came with 5 types of salsas. The different types of salsa was good, and chips were nice, and the charred tlayudas (corn tortilla toasted on a grill) was an interesting spin. It was good, but you run out of chips because they gave like 10 tortilla chips (Really?). We also got the guacamole with chips for $16. It was really good but kind of on the pricey side for guacamole. The flavor was good and the quac had some additional peppers with it. They gave plenty of chips, but I don’t think it was good enough for $16. For the entree: I got the skirt steak fajita for $28, it came out nice and sizzling hot with an amazing smell. Great presentation, but I feel like the portion size was too small. If I didn’t eat the appetizers I don’t think the fajita would have filled me up. It comes with a flour tortilla, but I had them substitute with corn tortillas instead. They provided four really small corn tortillas, which wasn’t enough. I asked for more and was charged $1.50 for four more small tortillas. I felt it was petty to charge for a few more small corn tortillas. We also got the pescado for $18 dollars. It came with three soft tacos with salsa. It was good….., but kind of fishy and we’ve had better. I think the price point was still a little too high for this entree. We ordered a side of rice and beans for $7 because it didn’t come with the entrees. There wasn’t anything special about this. Rice and beans were ok. It was good, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here.
Robert A — Google review
This place was delicious for some good mexican food and well worth the reservation! We enjoyed their margaritas and empanadas before our meals came out. The Happy House menu was solid so make sure you take advantage of that! I can easily say that their enchiladas were great and we loved everything about this place. Wish we had room to give the fajitas a go, but maybe next time!

Excellent first timer visit! Girl behind the counter was so friendly and warm, I’d never been and she did a killer job explaining it all and making recommendations. Didn’t act like I was an idiot. The service was very friendly and informative, answering our questions and helping us decide what to order. Once we sat to eat, we were all amazed. Everything was so delicious! We ordered the tacos and stuffed fry bread with all bison, except one stuffed fry bread was beef. There are little cups of honey near the register, get some to drizzle on, you won't be disappointed! I'm already looking forward to my next Denver trip so I can dine here again 😁

My husband and I were traveling to Denver for the first time and seeking out new restaurants to try. Considering that I am from a small town in Missouri, I was in awe to see the representation of my family’s ethnicity and culture in this restaurant. The food was overall amazing and the staff were so helpful. (Shoutout to the bison ribs - a MUST have) My grandmother used to make fry bread for me and my siblings when we were young. So, having the opportunity to enjoy this food allowed me to feel connected to my grandmother again. I deeply want to thank you for the great experience we had. 🤎

First time trying native American food. Not bad, but also not too impressed either. The rice was too saucy and the ribs were above average. You need to order the food and bring it to your table, more like a fast food service kind. The place is definitely popular based on the long line. If you are in the neighborhood, and never had the food before, it is a good choice to try.

The staff was helpful in giving great recommendations and took the time to explain all the options and made sure our order was to our liking. Food is excellent! Service was a mixed bag (really good and not so good from person to person). Prices are really high for a counter-serve restaurant. Not the entrees so much, but for sides ($6 for a small cup of green chile) drinks ($3.50 for a fountain), and kids meal versions ($12), which are are almost the same size as normal portions, which are huge. I think the thought there is that you could just get a kids meal and get a decent size portion for an adult, or two adults could potentially share a normal meal. It cost us $70 for a couple and a child without alcohol or desserts... The do have beers. But check Westfax Brewing's political agenda before buying any of their products. I want this place to succeed and I'm glad they are. The hominy, fry bread, and bison are great! You should definitely give it a try!

I’m super bummed about the “New & Improved” Rio on Wazee. I’ve been frequenting The Rio Grande since I moved to Colorado in 1992. Always been a classic and undoubtably stellar food and drinking establishment. The best thing about The Rio was that it was consistently amazing food and drinks. But most notably, best chips, salsa and margs. The new Rio misses the mark on chips. They are no longer made fresh- instead they likely come from a bag. Salsa is weak and bland (definitely not the same) and the Original Marg is super no bueno. Another bad thing: any Mexican restaurant that doesn’t serve nachos, or tacos? Seriously? We had a wonderful Coastal Mexican place in our neighborhood called Lola’s. Once they changed the chips and salsa recipe- they closed shortly after. Mexican food is supposed to easy and approachable. Consistent and fun. This is trying to be upscale. And who needs 2 different relleno dishes? The good ? The specialty drinks are really good and a nice upgrade. My suggestion is elevate some good drinks and food. But keep the classics that are your sure-fire winners. Even if you have to charge more to keep a decent profit margin. As a business person myself, alienating your current patrons isn’t probably what the owners expected. But this is BIG fallout. Unfortunately, I doubt we’ll be back. : (

They currently have deals on home games where if you have tickets to the Avalanche or Broncos games, then it's $3 off margaritas and quesadillas. We already love this place anyway, but this really just sealed the deal! They didn't skimp on anything, and their food is always delicious. This place is one of our keepers for sure!
Karen P — Google review
For a restaurant called the Rio Grand, which BTW runs through Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque, the food is rather mediocre. I ordered the steak and enchilada plate. The steak was pretty good and the enchilada wasn't necessarily bad but the red chile was tasteless and very mild. My suggestion would be learn how to make REAL greed and red chile sauce. It's not difficult.

A great fast casual store: easy to get you burrito etc how you like it, and seating is plentiful while also clean. An upgrade over chipotle, glad to see there's other competitors in this space. Smothered carnitas burrito was what I got. It's filling and has as much flavor as you'd expect for the price point.

In researching where to eat in Denver, this restaurant came up multiple times so I put it on the list of MUST VISIT places. When I arrived, I was very underwhelmed. Idk if it was just hyped up too much or what, but it felt like a regular chipotle, freebirds, etc. Nothing special about the place that I could tell. I got a burrito bowl and chips, which was good, but really messed my stomach up. I took home leftovers and ended up throwing them away because my stomach was so destroyed after my visit. The staff were great, the restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating, which was great, but it just seemed like an average place. Nothing great about it, nothing bad. Just a spot for lunch. 3.5 stars overall.

Good food overall. Kinda pricy for what it is. Example would be $4 for a side of queso. Even if it is made in house its still slightly obnoxious for a 4oz ramikin of queso. Although the burrito and bowl were served chips. Good drink selection and soft drinks as well. Over all enjoyable.

The visually stimulating decor features Day of the Dead art, star light fixtures, and sunken loungey booths. The menu offers modern Mexican dishes, street tacos, and traditional Tex-Mex classics. With over 200 bottles of tequila and mezcal, the bar showcases a deep love for agave spirits.
Great authentic Mexican food! Don't sleep on the salsa, one of the best I've had! Be prepared to eat, portions are huge! Queso with chorizo had just enough spice. Had the watermelon rita and the sangria rojo, I'd recommend either as they were both on point. Not a single complaint! Also brunch till 2p on weekends was a very pleasant surprise! I will say the way they serve their water makes you feel a little powerful. As I never drink out of those glasses, but talking with one in my hand I felt influential!

Our server Stephen was a sweetheart! Super attentive and friendly. We had the street tacos and they were really good. The tacos are made with corn tortillas. As a flour tortilla fan, these were actually really good and the best part is that they didn't immediately break apart! If you're into chicken tacos I highly recommend the Chile lime taco! 👌🏻 The restaurant plays really good modern music and helps with the vibe. Really good play to go with friends.

Otra Vez Cantina offered excellent food and drinks. The service was decent. It did take some time for my party to get our check. I definitely give warning for others to bring cash ahead of time or go on less busy times The food was delicious . The chips were really fresh and tasty. The pulled pork in food was very flavorable. I ended up putting them on fries as fun food. The fries had a lot of spice to them. I got a strawberry frozen margarita. It was probably my favorite thing if night. I overall enjoyed my time with food and drink.

Steven was an excellent and extremely knowledgeable server. Every single question we had about food(which was a lot) was answered in complete detail and more. I was actually quite shocked about how much one can know about every single dish. This speaks volumes about the restaurant itself and their staff. The food itself was awesome. I highly recommend the Baja fish taco, cooked to perfection. My only regret is not getting more tacos. The drinks were also great as we tried this delicious holiday drink, which I understand is all made from scratch.

Food and service were very good. Eileen our server was attentive and made sure we had chips and drinks throughout our meal. All of the dishes were flavorful. The place has a nice ambiance in the front. Unfortunately we got seated in the backroom, although it had a large screen showing a basketball game.

Excellent salsa, good burritos, tasty margaritas what more can you ask for? Salsa is excellent. Good texture/flavor and the chips are sturdy but still fresh and crispy. Queso was great as well. Good creamy texture and it had some meat to it. The Al Pastor Grilled burrito is excellent, plenty of meat and a good ratio of filling. Not too dry on the inside and the sauces are fantastic. Be sure to ask for extra poblano cream sauce, it’s good on chips too if you have extra somehow. Got to try a margarita and it was very tasty, no one was willing to share their tacos so I guess they were good too. Overall pleased, we will come back.

We have eaten at Otra Vez Cantina on three occasions. Once within the restaurant and twice, we took food out. All of our experiences have been great. We really enjoy the food and the overall atmosphere of this restaurant. If you're staying in Denver and looking for solid Mexican food, Otra Vez Cantina is your spot!

Our first night in Denver, trying to find good Mexican food for my husband's 40th birthday. We honestly just picked this place because of the name. I got a little lost, did not realize it was part of an outdoor mall but the guy who answered the phone was really helpful and nice in telling me where they were. We got there and they were very accommodating. Fajitas were delicious and the shots were decent size 👌 Very cool atmosphere, I loved everything. Well definitely make this a must stop for our next trip to Denver.

Taco restaurant
Torchy's Tacos is a popular chain known for its creative and diverse Mexican street-food-style tacos, including breakfast options. Originating in Texas, the restaurant has expanded across the United States, with a new location in Lakewood, Colorado. The menu features experimental taco varieties like the Mofaux and offers exceptional green chile queso. Despite high demand, Torchy's Tacos delivers generously filled tacos that may satisfy even those accustomed to eating three.
There are tacos, and then there is Torchy’s—gritty, glorious, unapologetic. A psychedelic roadside attraction masquerading as a taco joint, parked square in the chaos of Denver’s 11th Ave like a neon-lit food altar built by renegade saints and line cooks with too much soul to quit. I went in hungry and mildly unhinged. The salad with chicken arrived first—an architectural wonder of greens, charred meat, and whatever secret dressing they’re brewing in the back with lightning and good intentions. The chicken was tender, seared just enough to keep you honest. Each bite whispered, “Slow down, you animal. This is the good stuff.” Then came the beans and rice—nothing fancy, but holy hell, they had gravity. Earthy, warm, humming with spice. You don’t just eat Torchy’s beans and rice. You feel them. Like a low drumbeat in your chest. Like a food truck rolling through your subconscious. And the mango juice? Liquid gold. Bright as a flare gun, sweet as a bribe, and thicker than most politicians’ promises. It clung to the sides of the glass like it knew it was too good to last. Every sip was a tropical gut-punch in the best possible way. Service? Sharp and fast—like they knew you might unravel if left too long with your own thoughts. No fluff. No forced cheer. Just tacos, juice, and the quiet understanding that life out there is insane, but in here, the food makes sense. Torchy’s isn’t a restaurant. It’s a controlled detonation of flavor and form, served with a wink and a wedge of lime. Don’t ask questions. Just go. Eat. Repeat.

This Torchys has been the most disappointing. I only spent 25 bucks and still spent too much. Service is top priority to me, I'm paying for food and service. This is my first experience at this branch of Torchys. I not only had it take forever with not a large crowd, but to have em just ignore our party (of 4) the way they did was down right neglectful. It was disorganized, like no one had it together and was holding the reigns. I went to the bar to order a drink and was told "I've got a line" with no one having an order in, I watched her take the orders of other people just hanging out and than make those drinks before attending me, cash in hand, order ready to go. Nahh, I'll spend my money elsewhere this Torchys feels like a joke to me, I recommend training and task management, prioritizing customers vs regulars. Just basics, The bartender seemed confused and just not there, the service staff didnt really attend to us in even saying hello or anything, just like I said ignored us until we started asking them where's our food. I won't be back, I do not recommend it, the tacos were okay, doesn't matter if it's lunch or dinner or late night, I just won't waste my money on very mids service. I'm sure the tacos were better but having people leave a negative impression I've got 1000 options in Denver downtown.

This Torchys is awesome!!! The food was fast and so fresh! They are dog friendly as well if you sit in the patio section! My boyfriend and I loved the vegetarian fried avacado tacos! We will definitely be back with our golden retriever Jolene!! The staff here was so friendly to us and our dog!!!

I had the tipsy chick taco and it was great. Fresh and tasty with just the right kick. It filled me up perfectly, but I am not a big eater. If you are, I would recommend getting 2 or 3 tacos. The prices were very reasonable. The lime Liquid Death went perfectly with it. The service and atmosphere were fine. I would definitely go back.

Kachina Cantina is a lively eatery and bar located inside Dairy Block, making it a favorite spot to dine with friends visiting Denver. The restaurant offers a modern take on Mexican fare inspired by the Four Corners region and Baja Mexico. One of their must-try dishes is the fry bread tacos, which can be upgraded to Navajo-style for an even more delicious experience.
The food was amazing! The rice was very flavorful, and the first bite sent me. The huge poblano pepper was stuffed with cheese, corn, and zucchini, and was fried perfectly. 10/10 would recommend. And the staff were very nice!

Had the pleasure of stopping here last year during a food tour our last time in Denver, and had to come back during this visit back this year. Food and drinks were exactly as we remembered and we already can’t wait to come back again! The small upcharge for fry bread on their tacos is always worth it! We sat on the patio and the people watching with the incredible food and drinks made for really nice brunch! Love this place!!

The waitress Mindy was def a 10/10 she answered every question with no hesitation & her recommendation where on point🤤 The drinks where delicious so I can’t forget Jason who made a girl want more🍹the “only” reason for the three is the food🤔 It was presented well however the beef birria bowl (Mindy’s rec.)was the only hot entree. The customer service and second attempt at the tacos 🌮 is enough for me to return the overall experience 7.5/10

From start to finish, our experience at this restaurant was absolutely incredible! David and Jennifer went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and taken care of. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made the visit so enjoyable. The food was a solid 10/10—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. And the mimosas? Absolutely top tier—perfectly balanced and so refreshing. We left with full hearts, happy stomachs, and huge smiles. Can’t wait to come back!

Had to deduct a star since they charge 2% on DBIF, data base for insects and plants, lol. It seems like resturants are charging for random cause that has nothing to do with the customer. We had a wonderful meal tho. Servers were nice and it was a shame that servers have to see that 2% coming out of their pay. I am not gonna waste my time ask for the fee to be removed from my check and sot for another 10 min until the check comes back.

What can I say about a place that I’ve been going to since 1987. It’s taste just as good now, as it did when I was a child. I have a habit of bringing coworkers here to eat. I even tell them that if they don’t like it, I’ll pay, and I haven’t had to pay yet. My family knows that Patzcuaro’s is my favorite place to eat, even more so than my mom’s!

I used to come to this place when I was in high school. I am so sad that I haven’t been coming here more often. This place is a hidden gem. It’s been open for about 40 years. The customer service is amazing. I love the fact that they have a variety of servers that are all genders and ages!! Please try the Carnitas because they made my mouth water for days. That salsa with the chips was unique and tasty !!Everything was so delicious!! Can’t wait to go back!!

So this was our first time to visit Pátzcuaro's, after it being recommended. We obviously had to try the carnitas plate. We shared and the portion size was perfect. The carnitas are absolutely not to be passed on. The flavor was perfect, the spice level was spot on and an all round great meal! We will return! BTW, awesome hot sauce! Update: so for our second visit we decided to share the Albañil taco plate. The plate arrived hot off of the grill. The steak was perfect, sliced thin and very tasty with the onions and jalapenos. The potatoes added a bit of texture and we're very flavorful. We will continue to return here, for sure!

Food was good and not too much, which was great to not have leftovers or have a food baby. BF is a pickier eater and harder to please than I am, but he really liked his Carne de res Burrito with green Chile. I had Chile Rellenos and ate all of it. They have Negra Modelo - yay! Both hostess and our waiter were too young to tell us who the celebrities were in the photos in our booth. Cool place. They have a whole tequila only menu, with 3 shot flights and some shots costing $39. I'd definitely return.

Las Delicias Uptown is a local chain known for serving Mexican classics and margaritas, as well as breakfast. It has four family-owned locations in Colorado. The restaurant has gained recognition for its authentic, high-quality tacos offered at $2.50 on Taco Tuesday. The establishment is praised for its excellent service, modern ambiance with outdoor seating, and diverse menu options beyond tacos.
Great place to go to for a quick bite. As someone that doesn't care for guacamole or avocados, their guac tasted amazing. Heads up if you eat on the rooftop on a hot day they will have the outdoor mists going

It was about 1/2hr before closing time. Our food was was prepared & presented disheveled/"unloved. One persons meal was cold, one person's quesadilla was slapped together; the tortilla was hard/crunchy in several spots, the cheese has been cooked to the tortilla and the meat looked thrown in. The meat kept falling out when the patron tried to pick it up or take a bite. The waiter was lovely and worked hard to tried to do everything he could to accommodate us and make us feel comfortable while dining. He got a nice tip. (Thankfully, after letting the quesadilla sit overnight in it's to-go box, the ingredients melted together appropriately. I was told that it was very tasty for breakfast the next morning.) We will always ❤️ Las Delicious and continue to patronize the restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing and lackluster, which is out 9f character. Our out of Town guest was disappointed.

I ate at Las Delicias regularly, starting in 1987. I'm so happy when I get the chance to visit again, like seeing an old friend. Three of us went for dinner, excited. The neighborhood is very different, more vibrant, and expensive. The building has been through many transformations. The lighting is good, furnishings simple, artwork fitting, and appears clean. The hostess showed the three of us to a table by the window. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. My carnitas plate looked hearty, well presented, and hot. The shredded beef chimichanga had been ordered with a special request, and , when brought to the waiters attention, was snapped from the table, taken to the kitchen, and a corrected plate returned. Flavor and taste were lacking. Portions were ample, the prices were higher than I remembered from over a year ago. Overall, OKAY. Probably just stick with my favorite neighborhood place next time.

I immediately liked the colorful vibe with lots of outside light from big windows. I ordered the La Morena margarita, which was really good. I like spinach and didn’t see it on the menu. Our very friendly waiter said they could make me a spinach quesadilla. I really liked it. The cheese was great too. They have patio seating and an upstairs outdoor space as well. Very enjoyable experience.

I hadn't been here in 24+ years since moving to Pueblo. Food and Cristina's service definitely did not disappoint! The salsa was exactly how I remembered it to be! Although beautiful and the food/ service were amazing as always, I was a little saddened by the changes to the inside. I was expecting the old traditional Mexican restaurant as when they first opened. I do understand the fact of having to adjust to the surroundings of "Downtown" though.
Shellie H — Google review
I've been eating here for a while. They have two locations, but this one is my favorite and the original. The vegetarian enchiladas with Verde salsa are so good. The chips are thick but not too thin. They hold salsa and guacamole without breaking. Everything is seasoned to perfection. The heat sneaks up on you but doesn't burn. This comfort food all the way. I gotta it to go, and it was still delicious, and the portions weren't smaller. Friendly service and family owned. I haven't their quesadillas, burrito, and other items. They're all on point. You don't know what you're missing. Give them a try, and you'll be a regular. Don't tough the Skelton couple, either. Until next time.

Toro is a relatively expensive in-hotel restaurant with great vibes and energy - but mediocre food. Pro's: * Great energy vibe * Helpful service Con's: * High prices , add $14 plus tip for valet parking. My total bill for one person was $150 including tip (excluding the parking). * The food: :/ Ceviche: Seemed like it had been pre-prepared. Heavy on mangos / vegetables, light on fish. Quite small. 5/10 Steak: Dry-aged Ribeye for $80. Was excited to try an $80 steak and very disappointed with what I got. The meat quality didn't seem great and had a very high amount of fat. Served on a red-hot sizzling platter to the point that the table's wood had to be protected. Sizzling hot grease spattered all over my clothes and skin at very high temperatures. I get this is supposed to be "special" but it's really more "dangerous". Ended up burning the inside of my mouth too. Really a huge not-fan of the red-hot sizzling plate of meat spattering hot grease all over me. Flavor of steak was not great either, extremely salty. In-summary, a good choice if you are staying at the hotel, but I can't imagine driving here to eat outside of a hotel stay (on an expense account $$$). I'd avoid the "hot spattering grease" plates of steak or ask they be cooled in the kitchen for safety.

I was quickly able to find a spot to walk up and Gage was super quick to greet me! He recommended the empanadas as a light but filling snack and i gotta say i was super skeptical but they were amazing! As i was waiting for those he made me a cocktail based solely on my description of flavor and somehow the mezcal cocktail, i dont like mezcal and am trying to like it as it is trending, and loved it so much. I will literally go back to Denver just to go back eat the food and have Kevin as my waiter. I can’t stop recommending this restaurant to anyone that will listen.

Nestled in the heart of downtown, Zocalito Latin Bistro is a vibrant culinary gem that specializes in Oaxacan small plates and chili-infused dishes. Since its opening in 2019, this modern eatery has captivated food lovers with an enticing menu featuring everything from creamy cheese dips to flavorful mole-centric entrees.
We stumbled upon this cozy restaurant while attending a concert in Denver. The food was made from scratch, it was flavorful and plentiful. Tequila and cocktail selection was impressive and best of all, the service was superb.

We had a perfect meal! The drinks were tasty, my pork tenderloin with red mole was tender and delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant!!

My mom and I went here for dinner before a show at the Paramount Theater. The restaurant is an inviting and well-decorated space with some beautiful art. Our host/server, Matt, was so kind! We ordered margaritas, salsa and guacamole, ceviche, and split the beef tenderloin. The flavors were incredible!! My mom and I were guessing which spices were used in some of the dishes and Matt was happy to talk us through the flavor-profiles. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend checking out Zocalito!

The food was amazing! Each bite was bursting with flavor. I got the chicken relleno and my hubby got the pork Kurobuta Pork tenderloin. Both were amazing new also got margaritas and chips and guacamole. It was all so amazing. Services was amazing as well! Matt was a great server and host for our tastebuds. We highly recommend!

AMAZING FLAVOR!!!! I was blown away by the delicious and developed flavors. Try the shrimp ceviche, it was delicious and balanced and paired perfectly with fresh tortilla chips! Every bite of our meal was 10/10 the skirt steak was so tender and so delicious, and the mole was the best I've ever tasted. The Chicken Rellano was absolutely perfect. Make a reservation today, you won't be disappointed!!!

Great flavors and unique dishes. The shrimp and octopus salad was fantastic and the red banana dessert is perfect.

UNBELIEVABLE FLAVORS and combinations that will tantalize your palate. Coming from a professional chef— trust me and come here. Get the Aztec soup, mussels, kale and calamari salad, skirt steak with the BEST MOLE YOU’VE ever had, and the broiled cod. You will not be disappointed. Been dining with the chef Mike since he had his restaurant in Aspen. Denver you are lucky. Come here, trust me.

I recently attended a wedding in Oaxaca city and fell in love with the food that the region has to offer. We were there for 5 days and ate a different dish every single meal, I couldn’t get enough of all the different flavors. Upon returning to Colorado I was craving those flavors almost immediately and found Zocalito just 2 blocks from where I live. I figured it would be extremely Americanized with tons of salt and no authentic spices but couldn’t have been more wrong. Everything I had there I ended up saying “this is some of the best ____ I’ve ever had”. The chef/owner goes directly to the source for the peppers... I felt like I was right back on a oaxacan rooftop being mind blown by the flavors accompanied by a good mezcal. If you’re a fan of good mole, go. If you want to explore New Latin flavors that isn’t just tacos, burritos, and green Chile, this is your spot!

Mexican restaurant
Los Carboncitos is a long-standing establishment known for its Mexico City-style menu, signature salsas, and generous portions. It's a favorite among families due to its authentic, affordable offerings and friendly staff. The restaurant now features a bar where guests can wait for to-go orders or enjoy the relaxed environment while engaging in conversations with the welcoming staff. Customers have praised the tender asada meat and perfectly cooked beans and rice.
This is such a gem of a restaurant, and some of the best Mexican food in Denver. The food is delicious, and you can tell all of the ingredients are both fresh and high quality. The salsas that come as an appetizer are amazing, and are a perfect preview to how flavorful (and spicy) the food is here. We had the carne asada tacos and the chicken fajita burrito, and both were amazing. The meats were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Service was fast, friendly, and attentive, and the house margaritas were excellent - not too sweet. Highly recommend this spot!

I'm on the hunt to find amazing Mexican food and this place almost has it. I got the Al Pastor tacos and the meat was a little crispy for my liking it, but it was very flavourful! The staff were amazing and my margarita was sooo strong and good! I'll give this place another shot!
Courtney E — Google review
I stopped in for an early dinner after seeing the positive reviews. The food was tasty with large portions, the service was excellent, and they bring you a lot of extra salsas. All of the salsas were flavorful and had some kick to them so be aware of that as nothing is really mild. I'd recommend this spot to anyone who enjoys good Mexican food.

So many places claim to have “authentic Mexican food” but yet they have the same canned, orange, enchilada sauce for GREEN ENCHILADAS(I’m talking to YOU, Tapatio, Jaime’s, 3 Margaritas) the same sauce, the same EGGROLL chile rellenos, but this is the REAL AUTHENTIC Mexican place, the REAL DEAL, what a gorgeous place with great food.

Rating: ★★★★★ If you’re in search of authentic Mexican food in Colorado, don’t overlook Los Carboncitos just because it’s nestled in a nondescript shopping center. This place is a true culinary treasure! From the moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality make you feel right at home. We had the pleasure of being served by Rosie, whose attentiveness and friendliness enhanced our dining experience. The menu boasts a wide variety of traditional dishes, each bursting with flavor. On my first visit, I was hesitant to judge too quickly, but after several visits, the consistency in the quality of food and service is commendable. Whether you’re craving tacos, enchiladas, or something more exotic, Los Carboncitos delivers with excellence. Don’t miss out on their drinks selection either; it complements the meal perfectly. In conclusion, Los Carboncitos offers a taste of true Mexican cuisine that’s well worth a visit. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience. Highly recommended!

We live over an hour away but are always happy to come to Los Carboncitos to hang out with friends who live locally and enjoy some delicious food. There is generally tons of parking available in the lot. Saturday nights can be a bit more difficult with the bars/clubs nearby. Lots of seating inside that can accommodate smaller to larger parties. Service is always excellent and friendly. Love the variety of salsas that come with the chips, and our food is always delicious.

Although I'm not a fantastic judge on authenticity, this place had delicious food, kind wait staff, and was packed, so we knew it had to be tasty! Will definitely be returning. Don't let it's semi-hidden location scare you away, this restaurant is definitely an A+ choice for Mexican food 💯

Local Jones, located in Cherry Creek, is a vibrant American restaurant and neighborhood bar that offers a bustling atmosphere and a diverse menu. Whether you're looking for a Thanksgiving brunch or dinner, they have you covered with traditional favorites like herb-roasted turkey plates and holiday snack platters. The restaurant boasts big windows that create an open-air feel and also features a small patio. Customers rave about the outstanding Denver omelet served during breakfast and the delectable half-pound hamburger available for dinner.
This was one of the best brunches I’ve had: service was excellent, ambience perfect and the food so delicious. My friend and I had Greek salad, which was very fresh, and ribs with egg and potatoes, very tasty. On the sweet side we shared the huge cinnamon roll, fresh, tasty and not very sweet. Now the $19 chocolate cake piece is enormous, made with dark chocolate and ganache. Two people can’t finish it:) Overall a very nice experience and above the food, it’s the ambiance that I love here!
Magda J — Google review
Came here for a friend’s birthday brunch! Food was delicious - I had the short rib hash and definitely recommend. Make sure you order the cinnamon roll for the table! I will say the service was a bit slow (they weren’t super busy) but the food was great so it made up for it.

We took folks visiting from LA so they enjoyed the bougie-casual vibes. Our entrees were good, but outstanding was the cinnamon roll! And it was giant so it was great to share. Service was also very friendly and accommodating. Overall a nice experience! Although parking in this area of Cherry Creek continues to be annoying...

We had the best dinner at local jones! Zaira was a great server and took such good care of us. The only thing that I would request is if they put the chocolate cake back on the menu, I’ve had it for two years on my birthday and am so sad to see it go

Local Jones was incredible. I rarely write reviews unless I am blown away— the service and food at Local Jones did just that. I went for Christmas dinner spontaneously since they were open and the dinner was more than memorable. We got the prime rib and seafood fettuccine with the fresh baked bread, Swedish meatballs, and brussels sprouts. I don’t have a single note—and I’m a major foodie. The meat was cooked perfectly and the desserts were exquisite. The service was wonderful. We spoke to the head chef and his passion and talent does not go unnoticed. The manager is well loved by the servers here, and you can really see that in how well they run this restaurant. Such a great experience.
Emily S — Google review
A great evening in a good restaurant. We planned a birthday dinner for 7. I went in a week in advance to begin the conversation. Camille, the host, was terrific to work with. So friendly and accommodating. She set us up in a beautiful private room that was cozy and quieter, but still had a great view of the restaurant where we could take in the great energy of a Friday night. Ambiance/atmosphere is terrific. Several distinct spaces to choose from, with a few that nicely combine restaurant tables in a bar/lounge vibe room. Also terrific indoor/outdoor options. A great buzz throughout the restaurant. Food was excellent. Salads = great. Prime rib = very good! Chili roast beef = excellent. Tomato soup = very good. Bucatini = good flavor, a little dry, and I found the chef's choice of the spaghetti-like bucatini to be a challenging choice for diners because it's so difficult to eat elegantly in this restaurant's chic setting. Save the spaghetti/fettucini/angel hair/bucatini for Nona's house on Sundays. There are far easier pasta shape choices that would bring the same flavor with far less fear of drips on one's shirt. :) Steak frites = really delicious (although the menu claimed the cut was New York Strip, I'd bet money that was a flank steak. Still, delicious.) Gabby our server was so sweet and pleasant. Just the right attitude you want a server to have -- she aimed to please! My guess is that she's still relatively new and finding her way. So the service was a bit inattentive. I had to get up and go find her once or twice. And the bottle of wine we ordered sat in its ice bucket in the corner. Neither she, nor any other helper, ever remembered to refill the wine glasses. We ended up having to get up from our seats to go get it and serve ourselves. Also, she'd been assigned several other tables in addition to our private room. Understandable, of course. As I watched her serve other parties, though, she had tables assigned throughout the entire restaurant, long distances apart. The poor thing had to run around a lot. So between the sheer number of tables, their distance apart, and maybe a bit of inexperience, at times we felt like we were at the bottom of a loooong list of her responsibilities. If her management invests in her training and experience, and maybe concentrates her attention to a defined section of the dining room, she will shine! Again, a great night at a good restaurant. Thank you Camille, Gabby, the chef and kitchen staff, and the bus crew!

Teocalli Cocina, located in Olde Town Arvada, is a must-visit for food enthusiasts. The restaurant is led by chef Julio Gaspar, known for his culinary expertise and experience at Lola Coastal Mexican. The menu features superb tacos with a variety of fillings such as short ribs, Oaxacan and Chihuahua cheeses, avocado salsa verde, and tamarind-and-chipotle-glazed pork belly.
Had a wonderful dinner with excellent service. Tried the trio of salsas and loved all three selections, guac was great, entrees were hot and well seasoned, and desserts were awesome. As someone with celiac I love the gluten free menu. Thank you!

Definitely a niche "azteca inspired"-mexican spot. If you have a pretty open pallet, this will be the spot for you. If you're used to typical colorado/new mexico/california/texas mexican food, you might not enjoy this place as much. I had the enchiladas (green & red) and I feel like the red tasted a bit heavy on cumin. The rice there is pretty sweet but cooked very well and not too dry! Beans were very good, the salsa were delicious as well but was still expecting more of a heat kick from them. The atmosphere was very welcoming and clean and decorated beautifully. The staff was friendly but seemed more attentive to certain parties at the bar. Overall a nice experience, just don't think my pallet was refined enough for their food 🙂

I grew upneating mexican food, and I Love this place. Best Carne Asada tacos ever, easy to feed a crowd with gluten free options. The food quality is top notch. Their happy hour has discount tacos. It's the best time to visit IMO. Will be returning often. Their guac and queso is delish, their house salsa was a little sweet but everyone liked that one the most. I prefer their De Birria over the Tijuana version and their shrimp taco was so good! My favorite is definitely their carne asada though. Juicy, tender, flavorful and no gristle interference with each bite and the sauces are perfect with it. We threw a 20 person part here after discovering them and everyone was really pleased and loved the quality. Best part is it doesn't bread the bank to eat there. It is all reasonably priced in my experience. I will say. I wish the chips were a little bit thinner and easier to crunch through, but they are still delish as is. I'd love I'd they had a more traditional red salsa option.

Travelling to Denver for work. Came over here to try a new gluten free place. I was floored by the outstanding food and drink here. Everything is scratch made. The margarita was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy (I ordered the spicy pineapple marg). 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for amazing Mexican food that just happens to be gluten free!

Pretty spacious, beautiful, open air, American Hispanic atmosphere restaurant with a bar. Beautiful hanging plants and decorations with some booth tables and outdoor patio dining. Very delicious Mexican fusion food. We got the Queso Fundido, and salsa trio for starters. A variety of tacos including tempura avocado, birria, cotija, and more. Also got the Bruleed banana split for dessert. Thr Queso Fundido is a MUST order. May even recommend one for each person! Great service, delicious food, and beautiful and comfy atmosphere. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

The food was absolutely incredible—we all really enjoyed it. However, the service was lacking for our party of five. Even taking our order felt unorganized, and we had to ask for water refills. A little more attentiveness from the staff would have made the experience as great as the food
John — Google review
My partner and I decided to try this place after a friend recommended it, and I’m so glad we did! The interior is super cute modern with a cozy vibe. They’re completely gluten-free, so some dishes might look a little different than traditional Colorado-style Mexican food, but that’s part of the charm. Appetizers: We went during happy hour and started with the chicken quesadilla, which came with guacamole, sour cream, and what I believe was a molcajete salsa. The portion was generous and perfect for sharing. We also ordered a side of guacamole, which was delicious and plentiful, we even had enough left over to enjoy with our dinners! Main Food: For my main dish, I had one carne asada taco and one Tijuana birria taco. Both were packed with meat and flavor, which I really appreciated. I’d absolutely get the carne asada tacos again next time! My partner ordered the carne asada entrée and said the flavors were still excellent. Drinks: Now, the drinks are what will definitely bring me back! We tried both a margarita and a mojito, and they were amazing, refreshing, well-balanced, and perfect for enjoying out on their spacious patio. Overall, I’d say don’t expect the typical Colorado-style Mexican food here. Instead, come with an open mind and enjoy a delicious, unique twist on familiar favorites. Highly recommend giving it a try!

Another fantastic stop to add to your RiNo district adventure! The vibes here are great, and if you're looking to catch a game, they've got plenty of TVs. It can get a little loud, but that's part of the fun and energy. The food is solid, with tacos ranging from $6 to $9 each, and they serve bottomless chips with salsa—perfect for snacking. Don’t miss their margaritas—they’re really good! Throwing ice at the bell seems like a hit and theme to get it to ring. A fun spot to hang out and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

The service was great (helpful and attentive) and being able to order & pay for the meal with a QR code was really nice. The food was good. The grilled fish taco was so tasty but way too much slaw. The fish kept falling out. The pork and pineapple was super good. The barbacoa chicken was good too but also so much in there that it kept falling out. I would eat here again 100%. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. Also the unlimited chips and salsa were tasty!

I love the atmosphere and vibe of this place! It’s both open and busy all at the same time. Their “outside” seating is closed up when it’s cold, giving it not only more indoor space but it adds a rustic touch…almost like a house party (but with tables & better drinks and food lol) We went during happy hour and honestly, the best time to go anywhere, ever! 🧀🫕Queso: 8/10 (the corn definitely makes the taste unique, that is was a bit addicting) 🍗Chicken taquitos: 7/10 (but dipping it in the queso was life changing, 8/10) 🥔Potato taco: 8/10 (but with that side of green sauce, 9/10 🤤) And their chips and salsa are always good! Plus this place is really awesome and you can get ice shots…that you then throw at a bell. If you haven’t done it, I recommend!

Cochino Taco is a vibrant restaurant located in a renovated former gas station, offering both classic and innovative taco creations. The establishment boasts a full bar and a patio for guests to enjoy. The interior is described as open, bright, and fun with an emphasis on cleanliness. Families are welcomed warmly, with kid-friendly amenities such as high chairs, special cups, and coloring supplies provided. Guests have praised the flavorful tacos, particularly recommending the upgrade to 'shaggy style.'
Cochino is hands-down one of my favorite spots! The food is absolutely fantastic – every dish bursts with flavor and feels thoughtfully crafted. Whether you're craving tacos, small plates, or something bold and unexpected, Cochino always delivers on taste and quality. I'm obsessed with their a la carte taco menu but have found myself loving ordering a few apps as a light lunch or dinner alternative, too! But it’s not just the food that keeps me coming back – the atmosphere is electric. The culture here is lively, warm, and full of personality. There's a real energy to the space that makes it feel like more than just a meal – it’s an experience. Their patio allows for a summer-y experience and seems to be dog-friendly, which I love. On top of that, the service is seamless and genuinely friendly. Everything feels effortless, from being seated to getting recommendations or refills. The staff are attentive without being overbearing, and they clearly take pride in what they do. If you're looking for a place with amazing food, good vibes, and top-tier service, Cochino should be at the top of your list.

Super fun neighborhood taco spot! Solid happy time menu. I’m not usually a frozen margarita gal but Cochino is the exception. Several choices— Paloma, new frozen coconut, can’t beat the house option either. You can even get them to go!! Great value on top of it all.

I decided to eat here when the place next door was closed and it was a great decision I had an asada burrito and it was great, the green Chile is on point as well I would highly recommend it. The staff was great and food was fast
90s S — Google review
I feel we may have had new staff and servers this time at Cochino Taco, as there were mistakes that I don't remember from our first visit. Spilling water on me and then not cleaning it up from the menu and table is pretty bad, though. I feel the flavors and textures were all over the place too. The standard beef taco was very bland, not even meeting expectations found in a fast food order. The veggie taco was extremely salty, and the more interesting sounding items on the menu (la lengua, pork ears, etc.) also had a lack of flavor that could have lended to the cultural uniqueness of the dishes. The tongue was nicely tender and the freshly crisped shells we delightful. Attention was paid to presentation, and that was another highlight for us.
Patrick A — Google review
I love it here. Gabby, Lisa, Joel and Dayna are the best. They always give me the best served cold cans of Modelo. It never disappoints. I highly recommend the wings here, but everything on the menu is great.
Cristin K — Google review
The most classic happy hour spot in Englewood. You can’t beat their happy hour margarita prices. The frozen Paloma is my favorite and they don’t skip out on the alcohol like a lot of places. Perfect balance of sweet and strong. Their service is fine, nothing bad, but their servers never seem happy unfortunately. The food does the job, nothing spectacular but just what you need to pair with a strong drink.
Grace K — Google review
Solid choice for some affordable TexMexy grub. It's nowhere near authentic Mexican, more like an elevated Taco Bell, but bomb nonetheless. The micheladas are awesome though. And the happy hour menu is one of the biggest bangs for your buck in Denver. Good service too, family friendly, but can get really busy on the weekends.

Kike's Red Tacos is a popular food truck in Denver that has gained a loyal following for its Mexican fare, particularly its birria, a meaty stew made with beef. The signature dish, quesabirria, features tortillas stuffed with cheese and birria, fried to perfection on the flattop and served with a rich consomme for dipping. Despite long waits due to its popularity, customers praise the friendly staff and incredible food.
Great price and amazing food! I would go here again just for the Birria alone. The Reaper and House Margherita's I got were delicious and they use the best ice! For all that we got it was well worth the price.

Kike’s Red Tacos offers a vibrant atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating options, complete with an indoor bar and an impressive drink selection. I had a chance to sample their al pastor tacos, birria ramen, and a michelada. The food was definitely a highlight. The al pastor meat was well-marinated and bursting with flavor, perfectly complemented by a great selection of salsas. While the tacos are served on a somewhat toasted tortilla, which isn't my personal preference, the overall taste was still excellent. The birria ramen was also a standout dish, rich and satisfying. The only slight letdown was the michelada mix, which didn't quite hit the mark for me. However, with such great food and a lively ambiance, Kike’s Red Tacos is still worth a visit.

Additionally, I ordered a refreshing cucumber water to accompany my meal, and it was nothing short of delightful. The subtle flavors of the cucumber, enhanced with a hint of mint, made it incredibly refreshing and perfectly complemented the savory tacos. Overall, this place exceeded my expectations, and I can’t wait to return to savor more of their delicious offerings!

Went here because of all the hype. The food looked good on social media. In person the meat in the tacos was dry and not much flavor. We ordered two elote orders but one of them did not come out. Then comes the server in a demanding voice asking “who brought the food?” we all just started at each other not knowing what he was talking about. He kept asking the same thing until we realized he was accusing us of lying that we did not get both elotes. Unusually I don’t do reviews but come on, really accusing that we lied about what we ordered.

The queso tacos with birria ramen was 10/10! I only wish they had bigger water cups and that ice was an option but everything else was great. Clean bathrooms, high chairs & clean tables.

This spot is exceptional! I got the spicy margarita and a queso combo plate with two chicken and two birria tacos with consommé. Everything was excellent. I had high expectations and they were exceeded! The meat was seasoned very well and had a great texture. Salsa bar was awesome!! The marg and food were both made quickly and tasted of high quality. Very good experience and I’m excited to go back!

Restaurant
La Loteria is a mexican restaurant with great food and a cozy atmosphere. The staff are welcoming and the menu features traditional Mexican dishes like tacos, burritos and enchiladas. There's also plenty of margaritas on offer to help you enjoy your meal.
First time visiting La Loteria oh my goodness this place is to dye for! The minute you walk in you’re greeted by such a warm beautiful welcome. The food is absolutely delicious, the micheladas are out of this world! The owner Edgar is awesome, literally makes you feel like family. I highly recommend coming down to check out this restaurant you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much again Edgar to you and your beautiful family. May God continue to bless your business with growth.

You have to order before sitting down to eat fast casual style but food came out so quickly. The place is small but well decorated and has a good atmosphere. I tried the birria tacos, which were in my opinion very small and the meat was salty. The nachos were much better. A little pricey

Came all the way from TN cheese dip on point. Amazing taco had the fish and shrimp myself. The fish was strong fish taste but good. The shrimp was really good. Husband liked his food as well

This place is an absolute must for Mexican if you're in the Denver area. The owner was wonderful with great service and a smile. He went out of his way to be friendly and make you feel like family. The food was delicious, the freshest steak I've had in a taco, and I saw my tortilla being hand made behind the counter. My parents got Jalapeño margaritas and described them as the freshest and most refreshing drinks they've had. Truly an experience you do not want to miss out on!

The California Burrito was cold, wet, had little flavor, the meat was extremely low quality and could not be described as carne asada. It was like cold Jimmy Dean meat…..which I last ate in 2010. There was a gross cold gravy on the plate. My friend didn’t say a single positive thing about her plate of 3 tacos, meaning it was terrible and she was being polite. My husband’s entree was ok. My California Burrito also had black hair in it, which I put on the table with the meat attached to it and didn’t say anything because we weren’t going to ask for a comp or other plate. I got the California Burrito because I thought cool, a modern take on something traditional. It was just total trash food. Between me and sharing with my hubby, we ate half and had them bin the rest. When the plate was brought out I was told to be careful, that it was hot. The plate was as hot as bath water and the burrito was cold. We won’t recommend this place and won’t return. Thank goodness bad businesses can now count on fake reviews and google refusing to remove fake reviews to get inflated ratings.

The california burrito was AMAZING!!! I would come back here just for that but now I want to try it all. Highly recommend!

You must order before you are seated. It’s a smaller restaurant so not really good for big groups of people. Food was fresh and service was fast. The chihuahuas fundido was so good and cheesy as an appetizer. Those enchiladas were the best I have ever had and highly recommend. They have a kids menu typically options. Didn’t get any of their alcoholic drinks but everyone there ordered one. Definitely would come back and recommend.
