Outdoor Activities
Ao Nang Beach is a bustling and popular destination in Krabi province, known for its scenic views of mountains and boats on the horizon. Once a fishing village, it now offers numerous restaurants, bars, and accommodations to suit every budget. The 1km-long stretch of soft sand is lined with colorful longtail boats and overlooked by famous limestone cliffs, making it an Instagram-worthy paradise. Visitors can enjoy activities such as rock climbing, kayaking, spa treatments, or simply relaxing in hammocks.
The beach is located across the town drive. Loved the location and the scenic beauty. Krabi is one of the most beautiful towns of Thailand.  The town is quite peaceful and the beach is the landmark. My personal advise is to stay in a hotel closer to beach and night market. You are always in the heart of all activities.

Clean stretch of beach with beautiful shells. Great for swimming. Towards the cliff is a good fishing spot. Also a lovely walk along the edge of the cliff to a small cave. The beach runs all along lots of shops.

Lovely 😍 The beach is great to walk, or sit and relax. It's clean thanks to the Trash Hero volunteers! Quite active with the little tour and fishing boats! Great views 👍

Well the place gets busy by the night and graceful by the morning but always has a vibe there’s always a good view of islands but sometimes due to high tide you have to skip beach days.
Mukesh V — Google review
Stunning beach with monkeys. What more could you want ?? You can walk along a go up a monkey trail to the next beach along that’s not as busy.

Super clean Beach. Minimal tourist at morning time. The road near the beach offers variety of shopping at reasonable prices. The prices are better than Ao Nang night Market. Best time to visit is before 8 am . Amazing views at the beach.
Amruta K — Google review
A pretty beach and a beachwalk in Krabi that's the place for hanging around both during daytime and nighttime. During the day, the beachwalk has many little shops that sell clothing & knick knacks, restaurants & cafes, tour agencies where you can book day trips to close islands, motorcycle rentals and basically anything. The beach is beautiful but it has sometimes a very high tide, si make sure to not sit too close to the water if you don't want all your things to get washed away. During nighttime, the street comes alive with many bars, neon lights, fire shows and a great vibe to just walk around and explore. It's also obviously the best spot to watch some amazing sunsets, if the weather allows it.

Restaurant
The Last Fisherman Bar, located at the southern end of Ao Nang Beach, offers a unique ambiance with its driftwood and bamboo furniture. During the day, guests can relax under the shade of coconut trees while enjoying their barbecue served every night. The menu includes delicious Thai food and western snacks. This beach bar provides a laid-back atmosphere for visitors to savor classic and original cocktails, smoothies, shakes, and beer while taking in great sunset views.
Sooooo tasty!! Wow wow! Best food we had around. Price are very reasonable. If you wonder should we go there, stop thinking and just go! View is amazing, flavor are traditional. Staff is very friendly. Party in my mouth!! I love Thai food!!
Jean D — Google review
The last fisherman bars located on the beach. They have ample tables and chairs in the shade due to the large trees. They also have a nice little device on the table so we can either call the server ask to pay for a bill or other things. The menu is quite extensive as you can see for my photos. If you're at the beach right here which is a local spot to go to for many the local hotels I would definitely recommend eating here The food is very good. Service can be a little slow but it's worth the wait.

The cutest beach restaurant in Krabi! We came here for lunch and sat outside with the stunning sea view which was amazing. We ordered a spicy mango salad, morning glory stir fry, garlic & pepper pork and a prawn pad thai. All of the food came out very quickly, and the shrimps in the pad thai were probably the freshest ones I've got to taste so far in Thailand. The spicy mango salad was refreshing and spicy just at the right level - they can adjust the heat per request for some of the dishes, so make sure to ask if it's possible for the dishes you order. Although the menu is huge and offers a great variety, I'd recommend focusing on the thai dishes & seafood, as these are the ones that this place specializes at.

🌅 An Absolute Gem on the Beach – Perfect Ao Nang Experience! The Last Fisherman Bar is hands down one of the best places in Ao Nang! Located right on the beach, it offers an unbeatable sunset view with your feet in the sand and a cocktail in hand. The atmosphere is super relaxed, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is both tasty and reasonably priced. We came here with a big group and had a fantastic time. There’s plenty of space, and they were very accommodating. The drinks were refreshing, the Thai and Western dishes were well-prepared, and everything came out quickly. One of the highlights was the fire show in the evening – truly magical with the ocean as the backdrop. If you’re in Ao Nang, don’t miss this place. Whether for a casual lunch, sunset drinks, or a laid-back dinner by the sea – The Last Fisherman Bar delivers every time! Highly recommended! 🌴🍹✨

An absolute gem in Krabi — The Last Fisherman Bar is where the magic of the evening truly unfolds. With the golden sunset melting into the ocean, soft waves brushing against the shore, and chilled drinks in hand, it’s pure perfection. 🍹 The vibe here is unbeatable — relaxed, soulful, and full of life. Great music, friendly staff, and that perfect beachside breeze make it the best place to unwind and just talk for hours. Whether you’re watching the sunset, enjoying a cocktail, or simply soaking in the beach glow, every moment feels unforgettable.

The food there was pretty delicious. Deep fried squid is best. But service is not a delightful experience to have. Waiter neither waitress were polite. Grumpy sour face. Not answering calls. The view is 💯 You take photo here, photo is like magic

Great beach side location, wonderful thai food, we ate here a couple of times whilst we were in Krabi and food was always consistently good quality. Get there early to nab a beach side table in the evening especially to appreciate the the sunset.

Perfect spot for a peaceful meal by the sea. The view was stunning, and the ocean breeze made everything taste even better. Highly recommend during sunset!

Breakfast restaurant
Café 8.98 Ao Nang is a popular Western eatery in Krabi, offering a diverse menu that caters to various tastes and dietary preferences. From wholesome Buddha bowls and fresh salads to indulgent burgers and steaks, the café has something for everyone. Additionally, they offer smoothie bowls as well as vegan and vegetarian options.
Second time I’ve come here. Had the fish tacos and a fresh squeezed juice yesterday. Today I’ve had a smoothie and an iced tea. The staff here are particularly hospitable and polite. Checking in multiple times to make sure I’m enjoying my food. The menu is excellent with many different options and the music and atmosphere is really lovely. I’ll be eating here many times during my stay, I’m certain of that!!! Thanks to Carmen and the other ladies for a very enjoyable experience
Rebecca L — Google review
Cafe 8.98 is a beautifully designed café with a warm and stylish interior that immediately gives off a cozy, modern vibe. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the layout feels thoughtfully put together. I recently stopped by to try it out and was genuinely impressed by the food, particularly the Beyond Burger — it was absolutely delicious. The patty was flavorful and perfectly cooked, and the toppings were fresh and well-balanced. It’s clear that they put care into the quality of their ingredients. However, my experience with the service left quite a bit to be desired. When I entered the café, I found a seat and waited to be acknowledged. Unfortunately, no one noticed me — not for a short time, but for quite a while. Even though staff walked by, no one approached or offered a menu. After an extended wait, I finally had to call someone over just to get a menu. Once my order was taken, the food arrived quickly, and I appreciated the efficiency at that stage. That said, the initial lack of attention made the visit less welcoming than it could have been. There’s definite potential here, and I hope the service aspect improves to match the quality of the food and ambiance.

A great place! We came a total of four times since they have a large menu with food ranging from breakfast to dinner. It was a close-by spot with delicious food and quick service. Overall, we tried the Turkish eggs, a smoothie bowl, and the build-a-bowl, which was our favorite because you can create what you like and it’s very filling. Everything was delicious, which is why we kept coming back!
Alicia L — Google review
My wife and I ordered “Build-Your-Own-Bowls” in the evening of 4-5-2025. My wife ordered a rice bowl with beyond meat, and I ordered a salad with roasted chicken. The portions were enormous, and everything was prepared simple and *clean (by clean, I mean without excessive seasoning or hard to identify allergens). Our server was also very sweet, and helpful in accommodating questions about our allergies. We both have sensitivities to dairy, and I’ve been having issues with onion and garlic lately. While navigating these food sensitivities is surprisingly not bad of an issue in Thailand, it was really nice being able to dine here and not have to think too hard about our order. The cafe prices were pretty standard, if not cheaper than what I am used to seeing in western cafes in Thailand. The food on the other hand is pretty spot on with other western style restaurants in Thailand, and people should understand that paying for foreign style food in a tourist area is going to raise the asking price. Our meal was still not even half the cost that it would have been in the States. This restaurant had a good atmosphere, and we would surely return.
Andrew C — Google review
We dined here five or six times during our month-long stay in Ao Nang, and the food was consistently pleasant. The Eggs Benedict served on a croissant was easily my favorite combination. While the Turkish eggs lacked a bit of spice in the chili oil and the pork belly portions seemed to decrease slightly over time, the pork belly itself always tasted fantastic. Overall, the experience never disappointed, and I would happily keep coming back again and again

Absolutely loved my visit to Café 8.98 in Ao Nang! I had the ACAI Bowl, Americano, Chicken Fajita, and Tropical Paradise Tea everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is super friendly, and the quality is top-notch. Highly recommended a must-try spot for anyone in Ao Nang!
Raj Y — Google review
This was the best cafe/restaurant where we had western food in Ao Nang. Quality was there and the people working there were extremely friendly. Also the coffee Monday was nice! We paid 1000baht for 2 meals and 2 drinks which I find expensive considering it is Thailand — I would pay less for the same where I come from in Europe but again it was great experience 🫶

Had a very well made cup of cafe latte. The barista followed up by asking how my drink was a few minutes after I got it. Well done, good drink and good service. Price is reasonable too. (THB105 for my cafe latte).

Flea & Street Markets
Ao Nang Landmark Night Market is a must-visit spot in Krabi, Thailand. Located near the 7/11 store beyond the boxing stadium, this bustling night market offers a feast of Thai street food favorites such as barbecued meats, pad thai, and steamed shellfish. You can also enjoy refreshing fruit shakes while soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
I love this place. It is very cute. Many places to take great pictures of either the market or even yourself. Stores are good price. I would suggest walking around a bit to find the good prices. Some people are over charging in the market. There was some shops that had very cute shirts tops and dress for 200-250B which is way better than you will find anywhere else. If I didn’t have to leave I would have went back and got. There are so many good options that you can get I love Thai pancake. There is a bar with Muay Thai fighting night at night which you have to go and see it is a must. There was also live music the night I went on Tuesday it was great. They have an area for kids as well to play games and have fun.
Eboni D — Google review
Visiting the Krabi Night Market was a really fun experience! The atmosphere was lively with music, local vibes, and lots of small stalls full of food and souvenirs. We enjoyed several different street food dishes together, and the total price was only 10.8€ – which clearly shows how much cheaper Thailand is compared to Belgium. The food was tasty, freshly prepared, and there was plenty of variety to choose from. Even though it rained quite a lot during the day, the market still had a cozy and vibrant feel. Definitely worth a visit if you want to experience authentic local food at very affordable prices!
Wouter J — Google review
A very clean night market as SE Asian night markets go with its own space rather than having to block off streets and deal with passing traffic. It obviously caters to tourists and there is food for all tastes including some very unusual vendors, like the folks serving crocodile meat burgers and kebabs. Food is relatively cheap and delicious and you could eat here every night to save money as there’s a lot of outdoor seating. There’s also a clothing and souvenir section that makes bargain hunting fun and you are expected to haggle. Parents can find amusements for kids, the area is surrounded by bars, there’s Thai kickboxing and live music too. Altogether, a fun place to spend time with the friendly vendors after a day of exploring the many islands.

I absolutely loved the Ao Nang Landmark Night Market — it’s such a vibrant and lively spot! The ambience buzzes with energy, filled with the sound of live music and the aroma of sizzling street food. From mouthwatering Thai dishes to quirky little souvenirs, there’s something for everyone. I spent hours just soaking in the cheerful chaos — eating, exploring, and enjoying the friendly vibe that makes this market one of Ao Nang’s most memorable experiences.
Shalini M — Google review
A really nice market with live performances. At 9 PM there are amazing fire shows! The seating area is well organized they actually ask people who stand up to move if they block the view, which really impressed me. Great and varied food, shakes, cocktails, kids’ activities, small cars for rent, inflatables, and more all at reasonable prices.
Yulia Z — Google review
Plenty of delicious and viral food choices here! Even though it was raining, the place was still crowded with visitors — especially since it’s the festive holiday season. The food overall was satisfying, and the prices were cheap and affordable for us. For Muslim visitors, just be a bit careful when buying food — make sure it’s halal before ordering. Highly recommend visiting for the lively vibes and great food variety!
Haura L — Google review
Happening place in Ao nang. The night market almost starts around 6pm and goes till midnight. The market has many varieties of food stalls ranging from small snacks to large meals. There are couple of bars near the entrance that offers seating and allows bring outside food (no outside beverage though). Gift shops and dress shops would also be found. Events like music and dance programs happens at stage in front side. Occasionally there could be fire dance show as well.
Sujish C — Google review
Visited the Ao Nang Landmark Night Market during my trip, and it turned out to be quite an experience! The market has a vibrant atmosphere lots of lights, music, and a lively crowd that makes for a fun evening stroll. When it comes to shopping, I found most of the stalls quite expensive compared to the Ao Nang beach area. Many of the same souvenirs, clothes, and accessories can be found cheaper elsewhere. That said, it’s still worth browsing for the variety and energy of the place. The food section is the real highlight here! You’ll find an impressive range of options, from local Thai dishes to more exotic offerings like crocodile. The aromas alone are enough to tempt anyone. What’s even better is that vegetarians won’t feel left out, there are plenty of veggie-friendly stalls serving fresh salads, smoothies, fruit bowls, and Thai-style vegetarian meals. Overall, it’s a great place to visit for food lovers and those looking to soak in the night market vibe, even if you skip the shopping.

Family Thaifood & Seafood is a popular spot with a bustling atmosphere, but the wait is worth it. The menu offers a wide range of Thai dishes, with an emphasis on delectable seafood options. The black pepper crab stands out for its rich flavor, while the calamari and fried white snapper also receive high praise. Although the horse shoe crab salad may not have met expectations, the generous portion sizes make up for it.
Let me tell you about this gem called “Family Thai Food & Seafood.” It was a scorching hot day when we showed up asking for a table for two, and the staff couldn’t have been warmer or more welcoming. Then, out of nowhere, they dropped off some fresh watermelon slices—pure genius, since the heat was already messing with our heads. We brought our own bottle of water from outside, and they spotted it right away, setting down two glasses filled with ice. It made us feel right at home; they’re just the sweetest folks around, with hospitality you won’t find anywhere else. The food? Oh man, we went for stir-fried Thai kale, crab curry, and a fluffy omelette—everything was insanely delicious. Service and grub here are next-level. If you’re craving a bite in Ao Nang, I’m not kidding: just head straight there. Trust me, you’ll thank me later. I’ll be back for sure! Big thanks to the team for the amazing hospitality.

A cute family authentic Thai restaurant, very close to Krabi's main road. We came here for lunch and had a great experience! We were seated quickly and the food we ordered arrived even faster, which was very nice. We ordered a papaya salad, stir fried morning glory, sea-bass fish fillet with Thai herbs and a green curry - everything was delicious and very well made, just as you'd expect from a restaurant ran by a family. The only downside I think is important to mention is that they have no running water in the toilet (not in the toilet itself in order to flush the water, and not in the toilet sink, so you have to wash your hands with water from a barrel they filled in advance, which I found a bit gross).

I don’t know why it’s 4.6 star. This is is probably the best local dish I ever had in Thailand. I’ve been to Bangkok and dine in a few 5 star review restaurant I can say that it can’t be compared to here. Everything is delicious here! Fresh seafood and taste. I would come back to Ao nang just for family seafood restaurant. Fly all the way from Malaysia just to dine here again 😓

Come early to avoid a wait. But they move tables quickly. Let’s face it, you are here for the seafood. All options have various sizes and associated pricing, with multiple options for seasoning/serving, so it’s really great for choosing multiple options and sharing. First night we got steamed fish with ginger, garlic chili prawns and crab fried rice. Next time will get whole steamed crab. Overall very good pricing for the portion sizes, great flavors and attentive staff. Will return.

LOVED our meal here! This was one of my favorite meals from our whole 2 week stay in Thailand. They had SO many options on the menu and it was hard to decide what to get because everything looked so good. I also feel like their menu had a lot of unique options that I didn’t see other places. Located beside the pool and concealed by greenery, Nui's Tex-Mex Mexican Owner In Ao-Nang provides a hidden Mexican dining experience. Unaware of my craving for Mexican cuisine until I stumbled upon this establishment, I was pleasantly surprised. Although not as inexpensive as Thai meals, their delectable beef tacos priced at 250 baht proved to be a reasonable indulgence. The service was exceptional, with the owners extending a warm welcome and going above and beyond for their customers.
The service was outstanding. The owners made us feel so welcome. They mad our 4 kids little cheese quesadillas (not on menu) and turned on monster trucks for the kids to watch. We tried the burrito and the chimichangas. I am from Texas and this place was better than a lot of Tex Mex I have eaten. I would eat here again. I would have liked to see more topping on the nacho fries.

When we arrived, it was starting to rain heavily and it was late, so we were the only customers at the restaurant. The owner welcomed us and we were seated in the balcony outside. The owner and his staff are very friendly. We ordered Vegetables nachos, french fries, beef and chicken burrito with pink sauce and chicken quesadillas. When they knew that I like beef and my wife likes chicken, they offered to make the burrito two halves so we could eat both. The portions are big and the dishes are delicious. When we were done and wanted to leave and it was still raining, they called the tuk tuk driver for us to come pick us since the the restaurant is in a quite secluded street. I toally recommend this restuarant if you want to try Tex-Mex cuisine in Krabi.

Super delicious authentic Mexican food. Some of the best barbacoa I’ve ever had. Everything is made in-house: tortillas, salsa, you name it. Really tasty sangria too. The owner is from Guadalajara and is very friendly. We chatted about how he imports his chilies from Mexico. If you’re in the mood for great Mexican food you should check this place out!

ZAIKA KRABI THAI & INDIAN SEAFOOD, RESTAURANT

Restaurant
Zaika Krabi Thai & Indian Seafood Restaurant is a popular dining spot in Krabi, known for its expertise in both Thai and Indian cuisine, particularly seafood dishes. Located on Aonang Beach Road, this restaurant offers a variety of flavorful and spicy Indian specialties such as boti kebab, fish curry, matar paneer, and naan. Visitors have praised the deliciousness of their dal tadka, pulav, and aloo-paneer parantha.
This cozy Thai-Indian restaurant is conveniently located near the boat ferry ticket point at the far left end of Ao Nang Beach. The ambiance is simple, and the food ranges from average to good. While the butter chicken was a bit bland for my taste, the garlic naan stood out as excellent. The chicken biryani, though mild in spice, was well-prepared to suit a western palate. The chef recommends several popular dishes, including chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan, and cheese naan. Pilau rice and jeera rice are also crowd favorites. For dessert, the mixed fruit with ice cream is worth trying. The Thai menu offers classics such as pad Thai, fried rice, and vegetable spring rolls. They also provide set menus: a vegetarian option for 270 baht and a non-vegetarian one for 360 baht. The staff are friendly and engaging, creating a welcoming atmosphere. For those who enjoy a drink, there’s a full bar with a happy hour running from 11 AM to 9 PM, offering cocktails and a good selection of wines. The restaurant is open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM, with prices falling in the mid-range category. If you’re in Ao Nang and looking for a mix of Indian and Thai flavors, this spot is a decent option to check out.

Ordered fried fish sweet and sour. It was one of the best fish ever tasted. Fish was big, tender and the sauce is exceptional. The tom yum was good! Asked for medium spicy and they totally nailed it. Definitely recommend!

Had an amazing dining experience at Zaika Indian Restaurant in Ao Nang, Krabi! The food was absolutely delicious — the butter chickenwas rich, creamy, and bursting with authentic North Indian flavors, perfectly complemented by their soft, buttery naan. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming — a great place to relax and enjoy a hearty meal after exploring Ao Nang. Everything tasted freshly made and well-seasoned. If you’re in Krabi and craving genuine Indian food, Zaika is a must-visit! Highly recommend the butter chicken and naan — truly outstanding!

The best Indian food that I’ve ever had! It was so delicious. The staff of the restaurant was very kind. 😊 You should definitely visit this place and give it a try. You won’t regret. We had food on the picture and 2 drinks for around 860THB / 2 people.

No A/C, sweaty and uncomfortable. Didn't feel clean, quite a tacky restaurant with unimpressive food lacking much flavour. Maybe the waiter saw we were foreign and assumed we didn't want any spice. But our experience didn't match any of all the 5 star reviews I read about this restaurant.

Food was good. Service excellent. Cleanliness excellent. I forgot to take food pictures. I ordered roti with matar paneer. They made sure that I have the spice level exactly what I wanted. Taste was on the top. Taking one star less because lassi felt too sweet but as an Indian living outside, it felt a bit sweet. Staff is very kind and polite. Highly recommend.

We dined at Zaika restaurant while visiting crabby. Authentic Indian cuisine. Lots of Thai options also. Food was truly amazing and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. It is a must when visiting Krabi

This Thai Indian restaurant is a simple spot. Its not too far from the boat ferry ticket point on the far left end of Ao Nong beach. I found the food average to good. I had the butter chicken which was rather bland but the garlic naan was excellent. The chicken biriyani was nice and cooked to a western palate with not too much spice at all. The chef also recommended these speciality dishes which are very popular at the restaurant: chicken biriyani, chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, garlic naan and cheese naan. Pilau rice and jeera rice are also popular. For dessert try the mixed fruit and ice cream. The Thai menu includes: pad thai, fried rice and vegetable spring roll. There is a vegetarian set menu for 270 baht and a non-vegetarian menu for 360 baht. The staff are chatty and cordial at this restaurant. There is an alcohol bar for non-tea tottlers like me. Happy hour runs from: 11am - 9pm with cocktails and a full bar available at the restaurant for non-tea totters like me. A good selection of wines are available. This dining spot is open from 11am - 11pm. The price range here is medium range.

Get Rads is a recent addition to the scene in Krabi, created by the mind behind Slumber Party Hostels. This mixology bar offers an extensive menu of drinks and spirits, setting itself apart from the rest. It strikes a balance between a dive bar and cocktail lounge, providing a laid-back atmosphere. Despite being new, it has quickly become one of the popular bars in Ao Nang.
One of the best bars in Thailand. Top notch cocktails, and a cool, fun vibe. Both bartenders are world class. Free Street Fighter, can't beat that!

Video Games! 3 machines: Pacman, Street Fighter 2 and Galaga. All 3 would be classic by themselves, but you can switch the games and play over 350 different classic video games on them, for FREE! All you have to do is buy a delicious drink. They have soundproof walls that block out the bad live music from next door, so you can listen to the funk, soul and classic RnB they play. Go have a good time at this place.

Ok cocktails, especially the "buy 1 get 1 for free". Music was quite loud, which can be ok, unless your table is in front of the speaker. Not that comfortable chairs through...

The must stop if you are planning on going to any bar in Ao Nang. The staff are all amazing. So friendly and professional. Their bartenders made some of the best Martinis and Bloody Mary's I have ever had. Great music is always playing and they have some classic arcade games to test yourself on. Head there on Wednesday (ladies night). You won't be disappointed with the staff and activities.

Attracted by the naughty captions hanging by the shop front and the cool tune playing, we decided to check out this bar which turns out to be the only cocktail bar in Krabi. The friendly hosts, Jen, Bus and owner Alex make this place welcoming and we felt safe to hang out here as 2 single ladies. There are 3 retro arcade game machines which you can play with compliment. We ended up coming back to this place every night.

The Phi Phi Islands are a breathtaking paradise characterized by towering limestone cliffs, pristine sandy beaches, and crystal-clear waters. These islands offer an idyllic escape for travelers seeking both relaxation and adventure. Visitors can indulge in various activities such as snorkeling to explore vibrant marine life or rock climbing on the iconic cliffs that define this stunning landscape. As day turns to night, the atmosphere transforms with lively nightlife options including bars and restaurants that showcase local flavors.
A trip to Koh Phi Phi is something everyone should experience at least once when visiting Thailand. The islands are famous worldwide, and it’s easy to see why—the scenery is simply breathtaking. Towering limestone cliffs rise dramatically from the turquoise sea, and the beaches are picture-perfect with soft white sand. It really feels like stepping into a postcard. I found the boat ride out to Phi Phi just as enjoyable as the destination itself. Approaching Maya Bay and other iconic spots is unforgettable—the colors of the water and the sheer cliffs are unlike anything else. While some areas can get busy with tourists, the beauty of the islands always makes up for it. Snorkeling and diving around Phi Phi are highlights of the trip. The water is clear, and the coral reefs are full of life, with schools of fish, reef sharks, and even the chance to spot sea turtles. For those who like adventure, there are plenty of boat tours and opportunities to explore hidden lagoons and smaller beaches that feel more private. On the main island, Phi Phi Don, the atmosphere is lively with beach bars, restaurants, and shops. It’s great if you want nightlife and energy, but you can also find quieter corners to relax.
James D — Google review
Well the view from the island was stunning, but it was overcrowded and there were food outlets but food was not good. Front side of the beach was neat and clean but the other side was horrible, it looks like everyone is dumping waste on the beach only. You can enjoy swimming also Overall it was good.
Ankit M — Google review
Turquoise blue waters, peaceful and joyful vibes, a clean island with plenty of good food especially halal options. Public washrooms were also well-maintained. You can rent a boat or take on tours or just stay there for a night as plenty of hotels are present as well. A must visit with family or as a couple to enjoy this place. Best to visit in the winters to enjoy less crowd around.
Saman H — Google review
Can’t describe his island into words, it’s one of the best. Clear and peaceful water. It will take around 2 hours of cruise expedition to get here. And it has everything including, food of every kind, bars; music, hotels are a lot, some of them are right on the beach. It’s an amazing place.
Malik A — Google review
Phi Phi Don – lively, larger, and full of energy! 🌴⚓ Phi Phi Don is the main and largest island in the Phi Phi group. It’s the only one with hotels, restaurants, and local life — so it definitely feels more active and busier than the smaller islands. We stopped here for lunch during our island tour, and it was a nice break. The island has plenty of boats anchored along the shore, giving it a lively and colorful vibe. From a distance, it looks absolutely beautiful with its green hills and turquoise water. It’s a good place to explore if you enjoy a mix of nature and local energy, but don’t expect peace and quiet — Phi Phi Don is all about movement, people, and island life in full swing! 🌺⛵✨
Hashem M — Google review
Absolutely stunning paradise! Phi Phi Islands are breathtaking — crystal-clear blue water, soft white sand, and beautiful cliffs all around. The boat ride itself is an amazing experience, and snorkeling here lets you see colorful fish and coral. It’s a must-visit destination in Thailand for nature and beach lovers. Truly feels like paradise on earth!

Monkey Beach is a unique destination that offers both beauty and adventure, but it comes with its own set of challenges. While the tour experience can be enjoyable, thanks to accommodating guides and well-timed itineraries that allow for exploration of stunning spots like the Lagoon on Phi Phi Leh and snorkeling in Maya Bay, caution is advised at Monkey Beach. This picturesque location does feature playful monkeys that can be entertaining from a distance; however, visitors should remain vigilant as these wild creatures may exhibit aggressive behavior if approached.
Monkey Beach on Phi Phi Island is a one-of-a-kind spot that’s both beautiful and unforgettable. Tucked away in a quiet little cove, it’s most famous for its cheeky macaque monkeys that roam freely and interact with visitors. The real stars of the show here are the monkeys. They’re full of energy, super curious, and pretty entertaining to watch. You’ll see them swinging through trees, running along the sand, and even striking a pose for photos with tourists. Just be mindful—they’re cute, but they’ve definitely got a mischievous side! Aside from the wildlife, the beach itself is stunning. Crystal-clear water, soft sand, and dramatic limestone cliffs make it a perfect spot for both relaxing and exploring. For those up for some adventure, there’s plenty to do—swimming, kayaking, and snorkeling are all great here. The nearby coral reefs are especially fun to explore underwater. We visited Monkey Beach by kayak, renting one from Phi Phi CoCo Beach Resort. Paddling across the calm water to this hidden gem was such a peaceful and fun experience. It felt like time slowed down, and honestly, we could’ve spent the whole day just hanging out there with the monkeys and soaking in the scenery.

Monkey Beach in Phuket is absolutely stunning! The water is crystal clear, the sand is white, and the view is perfect for photos. The monkeys are fun to watch — playful and curious, but make sure not to carry food in your hands! We visited as part of a Phi Phi Island tour and it was one of the most memorable stops. Great place for a short visit, snorkeling, and some amazing pictures. Totally worth it!
Ankur J — Google review
This was a really cool thing to see- the monkeys come out when they know there’s food. I did however want to throw some people in the water that think it’s okay to 1) touch the monkeys or try and pull their tails or 2) splashing water on them. Like leave them alone if you can’t be nice. Some tourists should not be allowed to be tourists. It was a really beautiful area too.
Stephanie S — Google review
picturesquely beautiful like other beaches in the region ! beach is very small with the cliffs starting almost immediately you land. No shops or people other than tourists, but it can get pretty crowded. And yeah you will see a lot of monkeys playing around !
Arnab G — Google review
Spotlighting the white sands, clear waters and ofcourse it’s monkeys. Monkey beach is comparitavely small, secluded stretch of sand fringed by limestone cliffs. But the monkeys can be aggressive and unpredictable and feeding them is not allowed risk of theft or bites one have to be careful. Monkey Beach is undeniably a highlight of Phi Phi Don- a beautiful and exotic spot where playful macaques bring a wild energy to paradise.

Monkey Beach in Phi Phi is a unique and delightful experience! The beach is beautiful, with soft white sand and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The highlight, of course, is the playful monkeys that inhabit the area. Watching them in their natural habitat is fascinating and entertaining. Just remember to respect their space and not feed them. The scenery is stunning, and the atmosphere is lively yet relaxing. Monkey Beach is a must-visit for a fun and memorable adventure in the Phi Phi Islands! ♥️

Monkey Beach on Phi Phi Island is a wonderfully unique and memorable place. This little, quiet cove is well-known for its lively macaque monkeys, which walk freely among guests. Monkey Beach's main appeal is certainly its rambunctious monkey residents. These bright and curious creatures are well-known for their playful antics and capacity to capture your heart. Watch them swing from trees, run down the beach, and even pose for pictures with people. Beyond the animals, Monkey Beach has breathtaking natural beauty. The crystal-clear seas, gentle sandy coastlines, and towering limestone cliffs combine to create a gorgeous location ideal for both leisure and adventure. Monkey Beach has a wide range of water sports for people looking for excitement. You may swim, snorkel, or kayak in the quiet, blue seas. Snorkelling in the adjacent coral reefs is a really pleasant activity. We had the pleasure of visiting Monkey Beach with a kayak hired from the Phi Phi CoCo Beach Resort. Paddling along the calm seas to this private sanctuary was an incredible experience. It's a place where time appears to stop still, and we could have easily spent the entire day exploring and playing with the monkeys.

We had an incredible day on the full-day long-tail boat trip from Phi Phi! The tour included stops at Bamboo Island, Monkey Beach, and the iconic Maya Bay. Bamboo Island was breathtaking, with some of the clearest, most beautiful waters I’ve ever seen. Monkey Beach was stunning, and the monkeys were on their best behavior during our visit! Maya Bay has been on my bucket list ever since watching The Beach, and it did not disappoint. While it was understandably busy, we discovered a quieter spot by walking to the far right of the beach—almost secluded and peaceful. We ended the day at the mouth of Maya Beach, watching a stunning sunset before experiencing the magical neon plankton. To see them, you have to get into the water in the dark and look down to the seabed and move your hands and feet fast—blue sparks of light dance around your fingers and feet. The trip was just 600 baht per person and included water throughout, a delicious rice lunch, and fresh fruit at sunset. Note: there’s an additional 400 baht fee for entering the national parks, but it’s absolutely worth it for the experience.

Maya Bay is a stunning beach renowned for its crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand, famously featured in a popular film. Visitors often embark on tours that include snorkeling in this picturesque bay, alongside other breathtaking spots like the Phi Phi Leh Lagoon. While many travelers appreciate the flexibility of their tour guides who adapt itineraries based on weather and crowd conditions, experiences can vary.
The most beautiful part of thailand. This place is a paradise. We cannot swim in this water. But the place is worth the time. Clear waters, stunning landscapes. This place is a must. The sand is clean white as you can see in the video
Bhavesh R — Google review
Maya Bay is one of the most breathtaking places I’ve ever visited. The sheer beauty of this iconic beach exceeded all my expectations, and it’s easy to see why it became so famous after being featured in The Beach. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I’d stepped into a postcard-perfect paradise. The first thing you notice is the dramatic limestone cliffs that surround the bay, creating a sense of secluded serenity. The turquoise water is so clear you can see the sandy bottom even from the boat. The sand is soft, powdery, and incredibly white—perfect for walking barefoot. The lush green landscape adds to the dreamlike vibe of the place. To help preserve its natural beauty, access to Maya Bay is now limited and boats aren’t allowed to dock directly on the beach. This system is a fantastic way to protect the ecosystem, but it also means you’ll need to swim or wade a short distance from the boat. Honestly, it’s worth the effort. I really appreciated the environmental efforts in place. There are signs everywhere reminding visitors not to litter or disturb wildlife, and some areas are roped off to protect the coral reefs. Our guide shared a lot about the bay’s history and its ecological importance, which made me feel like I was contributing to preserving this beautiful spot for the future. That said, the beach can get pretty crowded even with visitor limits. It’s best to go early in the morning to avoid the rush. You’ll also want to book your tour in advance since spots fill up quickly. If you enjoy snorkeling, you’ll love the waters around the bay. They’re full of marine life. It was both peaceful and exciting at the same time. it’s an experience. The stunning scenery, the crystal-clear water and the feeling of being surrounded by nature make it unforgettable. Even though it’s popular and can get crowded, it’s a must-visit if you’re in Phuket. A quick tip , bring a waterproof bag for your things, wear reef-safe sunscreen and don’t forget your camera. Trust me, you’ll want to remember every moment here.

This beach is absolutely stunning! The scenery is breathtaking, with crystal-clear waters, soft golden sand, and beautiful surroundings that make it feel like paradise. The atmosphere is vibrant, with plenty of activities and people enjoying the sun and sea. However, it can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, making it a bit difficult to find a quiet spot. Despite the crowds, the beach’s natural beauty makes it well worth the visit. Just be prepared for a bustling environment, and if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, try to visit early in the morning or later in the evening.

Extremely popular and iconic beach, The sand is so soft, at the moment you are not permitted to swim in the bay in an effort to conserve the sharks. An inteseting walk from the docking area to the actual beach. Well worth a visit.
Alhaurin “ — Google review
It’s an extremely beautiful beach, unfortunately destroyed by mass tourism. We departed for Maya Bay at 9:30 and arrived around 10:30, which turned out to be already way too late. Just hordes of tourists, you had to “wait in line” for your turn to take a picture/selfie of this superb beach. Sharks are there, too, so don’t go in too deep. In order to get the vibe of this beach, you need to arrive like at 8am or earlier, I guess.

Maya Bay is one of the most beautiful beaches and islands I've ever seen in my life. We were lucky enough to take a tour before sunrise, leaving at 5:30 AM, and arriving just as the island opened, so we had it all to ourselves. The beach is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water and dramatic cliffs surrounding it. While swimming is not allowed to protect the environment, it's the perfect place to enjoy the surroundings and admire the breathtaking landscape in peace. If you have the chance to visit, going early in the morning is highly recommended for a tranquil experience.

Bamboo Island, also known as Ko Phai or Koh Pai, is a stunning paradise located in the Mu Ko Phai archipelago off the eastern coast of Thailand. This small uninhabited island boasts pristine beaches, clear waters perfect for snorkeling, and a tiny bar for visitors to enjoy. The translucent waters reveal beautiful reefs along the coast, making it an ideal spot for swimming and underwater exploration.
Bamboo Island in Thailand is a hidden gem that truly epitomizes tropical paradise! The island boasts some of the most amazing, clear waters I’ve ever seen, shimmering with shades of turquoise and blue. It’s perfect for swimming, snorkeling, or just lounging on its pristine beaches. The stunning views from every angle are breathtaking, with the lush greenery contrasting beautifully with the sparkling sea. Whether you’re strolling along the shoreline or relaxing in the sun, the island’s fantastic landscapes create an idyllic backdrop that’s picture-perfect. What makes Bamboo Island even more special is its tranquil atmosphere, allowing visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of tourist hotspots. It’s the perfect place for nature lovers and those looking for a peaceful getaway. Just remember, to get to the island, you’ll need to take a water taxi or a full-day tour with local boat operators.

Had an amazing experience coming to this island as part of the Maya Bay boat trip in May 2025. I only wish I could have spent longer here! The 360-degree view from the island was simply stunning as you could see all the islands and mainland in the distance surrounding Bamboo Island. Also, the snorkelling there is the best! There were so many fish of all types of tropical varieties! The sand was white and water turquoise, crystal clear, and next time, im just gonna get a boat straight to this island and spend the day there. 😎

A final stop for the phi phi island tour. The island is so small compared to Phi Phi Island but still crowded. A lot of visitors come here to swim, picnic, relax and eat. There are also a few stalls available to buy food and snacks. The toilet is also provided here. The island is so clean and the beach is wide. There is a designated place to swim but wearing a life jacket is mandatory for whatever the reasons it may be. The weather is good here but quite hot during sunny days. The sand is very white and soft. You can see the shore from here and a few other islands. Just love it

Beautiful white sand, safe bouyed off areas that allow snorkeling. Usually find reef and baby sharks (harmless to humans). Bring food and or drink. Insanely expensive here (obviously). Saw an Asian water monitor, second largest lizard on the planet, was cool. Birds hang out and steal human food, was also lovely to watch.

Princess Cave, also known as Tham Phra Nang Nok, is situated in Ao Phra Nang beach in Railay. The cave features a remarkable collection of carved wooden phallic symbols and is believed to aid fertility. Visitors can easily access the cave and beach from nearby hotels, with well-maintained infrastructure for a comfortable walk. The stunning views inside the cave are accentuated when sunlight filters through the gaps.
I was standing before the Phra Nang Cave Shrine—taking in the scenic view of the rock face, the lush greenery, and the brilliant sea—when, absolutely out of nowhere, these little fellows climbed over the cliff, landed one by one onto the beach, and scamper cautiously to the nearby trees! How incredible!

Honestly, I have no words… I’ve never seen a place like this before. Princess Cave is so unique and full of energy..something about it just stays with you. A must-visit if you're nearby, it’s not just beautiful, it’s something you feel.
Jai S — Google review
The Most “Enlightening” Cave I’ve Ever Visited – Princess Cave, Railay Let me just say this right off the bat: I’ve seen a lot of caves in my travels — stalactites, bats, underground rivers... but nothing quite prepared me for the delightful surprise that is Princess Cave in Railay, Thailand. Tucked into the side of the stunning Phra Nang Beach, this cave is dedicated to an ancient legend about a sea princess. Sounds mystical, right? Now imagine stepping inside and being greeted by... hundreds of wooden phalluses. Yes, you read that right. This isn’t just a sacred cave — it’s also a full-blown shrine to fertility, and apparently, the offering of choice is... well... creatively carved manhoods in all shapes, sizes, and colors. It's a spiritual site, but also something straight out of a surreal comedy sketch. I couldn’t help but giggle (okay, laugh out loud) as I tried to keep a straight face among these enthusiastic, ahem, "offerings." But beyond the humor, it’s genuinely fascinating — both culturally and historically. Locals and fishermen have been leaving these symbols for decades as part of a deeply rooted belief in blessings, prosperity, and protection at sea. What makes it even better is the setting: just steps from the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen, with limestone cliffs towering behind and the sea stretching endlessly ahead. You can go from sunbathing to experiencing an unforgettable cultural oddity within 60 seconds. If you're coming to Railay and want a mix of beauty, culture, and an unexpected dose of well-endowed humor, the Princess Cave is a must-see. Bring your camera, your curiosity, and your sense of humor — you’ll need all three. 10/10 – Come for the beach, stay for the... educational woodwork. 🌞🍆✨

Beautiful but still crowded in June Visited Phra Nang Cave in June. The scenery is stunning and the cave is worth exploring, but there were still quite a lot of tourists despite the season. Trails can be slippery, so wear proper shoes. Overall, a great spot for nature lovers!

Princess Cave and Phra Nang Beach are absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. The backdrop is nothing short of magical—towering limestone cliffs frame the powdery white sand, while the water glows with shades of turquoise and gold as the sun dips below the horizon. The entire area feels secluded and serene, with dramatic rock formations and lush greenery adding to the sense of wonder. The Princess Cave itself is fascinating, filled with colorful offerings and steeped in local legend. As you explore, you’ll notice the unique shrine dedicated to the mythical sea princess, believed by locals to protect fishermen and bring good luck. The combination of natural beauty and cultural significance makes this spot truly unique. If you’re in Krabi, visiting Princess Cave and Phra Nang Beach at sunset is a must. The views are stunning, the atmosphere is peaceful, and the scenery is some of the best you’ll find anywhere in Thailand. It’s the perfect place to relax, take photos, and soak in the beauty of nature and local culture all at once.

Railay Beach, accessible only by boat, is a stunning peninsula known for its towering limestone cliffs and picturesque beaches. It's a popular destination for rock climbing and diving enthusiasts. The area offers a range of activities such as island hopping on longtail boats to nearby famous islands like James Bond Island and Maya Bay. Visitors can also explore the Krabi Fossilized Shellfish Cemetery, one of only three in the world, to see millions of years old fossils.
The beach is really relaxing with magnificent views. Has lots of stuff to do, do not stay there for 1 day, stay for more. There is so much to do and see. The first priority place that I'll recommend to you if you will go to Krabi. You can only get there by boat. Its a piece of land surrounded by mountains and cliffs. You will need to pay if hotel doesn't provide a free boat to your destination.

For me, it's still beautiful, but it's not like when I was a kid. I understand that it's a major tourist attraction, so there are usually a lot of tourists, but it's too much for me. Even when I'm diving underwater, I can hear the boats running. It's too noisy for me.

Such a magnificent beach with serene vibe is Railay Beach. If you get time, stay more days and explore surroundings. You can get there by boat only. This land is surrounded by mountains and cliffs. Highly recommended to visit this place and don't miss fireshow at night time.

We booked a ferry from Krabi to Railey Beach. There is a little booth near the docks that sell the tickets and tell you the hours that the ferries run. Once a wooden dragon boat is full it heads out. The boat ride was awesome. Open air and smooth. It was one of my favorite parts island hopping during our trip. When we arrived we wondered until we found a hotel that served breakfast. There was a reasonably priced buffet and we ate there. We spent a few hours at the beach, swimming and enjoying the sun. We saw the rain coming and decided to head to bar and grab a drink. Overall it was a great day, and I highly recommend.

Just beautiful. We bought visited in August, low season. So many lovely bars, cafes and things to do. Beautiful beaches with lots of traditional long tail boats.

Really gorgeous beaches, yummy food, wildlife, and almost everything you need. Cool hippie vibes by the west side. I enjoyed the place and was only there for a few hours. Would love to come back and stay on this side of Krabi for a few days.

Overall okay but the boat staff didn’t allow us to wear slippers, so walking barefoot through the cave was quite uncomfortable 😅. Since it’s the holiday season, the place was also pretty crowded with tourists from all over the world. But the view? Absolutely stunning! The water was crystal blue and the sand was pure white!

Beautiful clean beach with mild sand... During some parts of the day it's packed with tourists but the sunsets are amazing..

The Grotto @ Rayavadee (Hotel guests only) is a popular spot, especially on Tuesdays around 4 PM. It's recommended for couples looking for a romantic dinner with spectacular views. The cave-like setting above the beach adds to its charm. The menu features delicious options like fish in salt shells and Andaman Lobster, as well as exceptional appetizers and sauces.
Review as a non hotel guest: Upon arrival at the Rayavadee Resort, we were met by a friendly and accommodating member of hotel staff who walked us over to a waiting area outside, and within a minute a long buggy vehicle whisked us down the winding landscape grounds of this beautiful resort towards The Grotto. Spectacularly set within a cliff-side rockface, this wonderful sand carpeted restaurant blew us away. The ambience (piano and sax playing the classics), the lighting (warm and ambient) and thunderstorm backdrop in the distance really set the tone and scene for probably the most incredible location I've ever eaten in, publicly. The service, ambience, food, and excellent wines were all on par and at a 5 star level, and there was never any sense of being rushed or made to feel like our table was in danger of being turned in the 3hrs we were there. It was an exquisite experience and reasonably priced for such a filling and well cooked ensemble of delicious seafood, steaks, and refreshing desserts. If you are staying on the east port side of Krabi, book your table here for the evening as the sun goes down and mark my words, you'll leave feeling like you're experienced something wonderful to remember as part of your trip.

A Must-Visit for Unforgettable Ambiance! This restaurant boasts an absolutely fantastic atmosphere. If you can time your visit around sunset, you'll be treated to an even more spectacular experience. Being inside a cave, it felt refreshingly cool, and I noticed significantly fewer mosquitoes, which was a huge plus. While the prices are on the higher side, both the food and the incredible ambiance made it thoroughly satisfying. The live music played by a session band inside the cave truly enhanced the overall mood. My only minor disappointment was the service, which wasn't as friendly as I'd hoped. I didn't experience the same level of hospitality here that I encountered elsewhere at the resort. Despite that, I still highly recommend this restaurant for a unique and memorable dining experience.

The service has an outstanding view to the beach with a beautiful sunset and a cave. The food was great, but very overpriced to what you get. Generally it's great to come here if you're looking for a beautiful dining experience.

Dining at The Grotto was an absolutely magical experience. Nestled inside a cave right by the beach, the atmosphere is truly one-of-a-kind—romantic, peaceful, and with a breathtaking view of the ocean and limestone cliffs. The food was nicely presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, adding to the overall experience. The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, making us feel well taken care of throughout the evening. The setting, the service, and the food came together perfectly for an unforgettable meal. A must-visit if you're in Krabi. Unique and stunning dining spot.

Amazing experience, okay food. We ordered the tomahawk, the meat itself was okay but the sauces (black peppercorn & truffle aioli) make the dish for sure. Beef carpaccio was decent as well as the scallops. Both desserts were good as well.

Overpriced rubbish food! Let’s start with the positives, it’s a cute spot to be in and the staff were right enough, but do not go for food. It’s terrible! My pasta dish looked reheated and the mussels were so dry I couldn’t eat them. Probably the worst pasta dish I’ve been served. After seeing the other reviews I’d dread to think what the seafood platter would be like! Such a shame! Especially as it’s in a 5 star resort. Maybe opt for just a drink.

"Local Thai Food Restaurant" is a popular dining spot known for its incredible and flavorful dishes at fair prices. The restaurant offers a great environment and good service, although it can get quite busy leading to longer wait times. Visitors have praised the restaurant for its delicious and fresh local Thai cuisine, with a diverse menu catering to various tastes. The establishment has received positive feedback for its hospitality and refreshing beverages like green tea with milk and ice.
This local Thai food restaurant in Railay is an absolute gem! The food was incredibly flavorful, and every dish exceeded our expectations. We ordered coconut water, mango sticky rice, fried rice with egg, and veg fried rice with green curry, and each item was a delight. The coconut water was refreshing, served chilled and perfect for the tropical weather. The mango sticky rice was the highlight of our meal—sweet, creamy, and absolutely authentic. The fried rice with egg was simple yet delicious, cooked perfectly with the right balance of seasoning. The veg fried rice with green curry was bursting with flavors; the curry was rich and aromatic, pairing wonderfully with the rice. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and laid-back, with a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff were polite and attentive, ensuring we had a pleasant dining experience. Prices were reasonable considering the quality and freshness of the food. If you're in Railay and craving authentic Thai flavors, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and decided to sit down because we were drawn to the fruit displayed outside and the spacious, airy atmosphere. The service was good, and the food was delicious. We also had two fruit shakes, which were exquisite. While we were eating, we could see monkeys playing on the cables outside—it was a wonderful experience.

Excellent food for similar prices to other places on the street. Ate here twice during our stay at Railay. The neighboring restaurant always seemed to be full compared to this one, but both times we ate here the food was delicious.

From the moment we stepped in, this restaurant in Ao Krabi had us hooked. The food here isn’t just cooked — it’s crafted. Everything is prepared fresh, with bold, vibrant Thai spices that hit just the right notes: fragrant, spicy, tangy, and comforting all at once. Whether you’re craving fiery local dishes like tom yum or green curry, or feeling like something more familiar from home — the Western options are made with the same love and quality. Think juicy grilled meats, crisp salads, and beautifully balanced pasta — but done with an extra touch that makes it stand out. What really sets this place apart is the authenticity. The chefs clearly know what they’re doing — herbs, chilies, aromatics — it’s like they captured the soul of Thailand in each bite. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and laid-back, making it perfect whether you’re on vacation or just need that genuine taste of Thai warmth (and flavor!). If you find yourself in Ao Krabi — do not miss this restaurant. It’s a rare spot where Thai tradition and true craftsmanship meet food that makes your mouth water. Highly, highly recommended.

Efe Mediterranean Cuisine Restaurant in Phi Phi offers a delectable selection of Mediterranean dishes, such as fresh bread with hummus, kebabs, falafel, and skewered meats. The restaurant embodies the diverse flavors of the region's cuisine from countries bordering the southern European and northern African sea. Guests can enjoy a laid-back atmosphere while the attentive staff is eager to provide insights into the ingredients used in their dishes.

Best Turkish food in Thailand. Felt in turkey for a little bit! Went for the basics: lentil soup and hummus with meat and absolutely delicious 🤤 the bread warm and fresh. Everything 10/10 MUST TRY THE DESSERTS! Coming almost every day on my stay in the island

Beautiful food 😋 Couldn't fault anything. However it is more pricey than other restaurants on the island 🏝 although was definitely worth every penny and we did order lots! Phra Nang Beach, also known as Phra Nang Cave Beach, is a breathtaking sandy beach framed by towering limestone cliffs and crystal-clear waters dotted with small islands. It is renowned for its natural beauty and was ranked as one of the world's most beautiful beaches and the 5th most beautiful beach in Asia by TripAdvisor in 2013. The beach features an intriguing cave that holds cultural significance due to a local legend about a love story passed down through generations.
Beautiful beach, there are only a few people on it in the morning, around 10:30 a.m. a lot of people start to flow in, then it's tourist hell. After 4:30 p.m. it starts to empty again and fewer people remain. If you go at high tide, you can only get to the back of the beach by wading through the water to the right, the water is about a little below your butt. Beautiful swimming, the sea is calm with no waves, turquoise water, beautiful rocks. You can swim even at low tide. There is shade under the trees. The most beautiful beach on Railay.

Phra Nang Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand, with soft white sand, crystal-clear water, and dramatic limestone cliffs. You can swim, relax, or explore the nearby cave. The scenery is unforgettable, and it's a short boat ride from Ao Nang. It gets a bit crowded by midday, but the atmosphere remains peaceful and safe. Bring snacks, as there are only a few floating vendors. One of the most beautiful beaches in Krabi with fine sand, turquoise water, and cliffs all around. Great for swimming and relaxing. Boats come and go, but it still feels serene. A must-visit for beach lovers visiting Railay.

Don't miss this beach and spend some money and time to visit it. One of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand. I definitely recommend renting a kayak for an hour on the beach, which is enough to hug the local mini islands and the view of the beach definitely gets a different dimension 😉🫶🏻

I have seen many magical beaches in my life, but in my opinion this is one of the most scenic beaches ever. The walking route towards the beach (through semi-caves) is also beautiful and well maintained. I loved the old trees and their roots and the fact that you are walking in the shade of the mountain. Try to visit the beach when it is low tide, you will be able to walk along the coast and see many semi-caves.

I must say this is the best point at Railay. The beauty is at its best. Nowadays the tide is quite high so be careful through the walkway. Visited today dated 14 July 2025.

The Monkey Trail in Ao Nang is a short, 15-minute walk through the jungle between Ao Nang Beach and Pai Plong Beach. The trail consists of bamboo boardwalks, wooden stairs, and a narrow sand-bagged pathway along the slope. It's known for its wild macaque monkeys that are commonly spotted along the way. Despite being rocky and uneven in parts, it offers scenic views and wildlife watching opportunities.
Fun little adventure at Monkey Tail! It’s a really cool walk – a bit tiring in the heat, but definitely worth it for the views. You get some great lookout points along the way and can see lots of monkeys, including many little baby ones. They’re surprisingly calm and not aggressive at all, unlike in places like Bali. If you’re already at the beach, it’s definitely worth walking through. A fun experience overall and a nice change of pace. Clear recommendation ! 😌
Noah K — Google review
Nice walk to a secluded beach. We started after 1pm in a sunny day and the start of the trail was full of monkeys. Adults, small and babies playing, chasing each other, jumping to the trees or even swimming in a pool of water on the beach. If we didn’t attract them, they didn’t pay attention to us. The trail is not maintained much so be cautious. You go up and then down to the beach. The path wasn’t crowded (beginning of November). On the beach you can have a coconut water. The beach was nice, nice views to the sea but there is a construction site (building) on the beach so it was noisy sometimes. A “must see” :): in the trees you can find white spectacled langurs. The trail is definitely worth visiting. :)
Aga M — Google review
Monkey Trail… or Monkey Gauntlet? 🐒😂 I was super curious to try the Monkey Trail in Ao Nang, but let me warn you—the name is no joke! Right at the entrance, there were tons of monkeys, and if you’re carrying snacks or drinks, they will definitely notice. I saw some of them aggressively trying to snatch food, and honestly, it felt a bit unsafe. The trail itself is a wooden walkway with quite a few steps and is supposed to offer lovely views along the way… But I didn’t get far. 😅 Between the monkeys and the intimidating start, I gave up early and turned back. 💡 Tips if you’re planning to go: Don’t carry food in your hands or open bags. Avoid eye contact and stay calm if they approach. Consider visiting early in the day when it might be less crowded (and less monkey-chaotic). I might try again another time, but for now… this trail wasn’t for me!
Ellie O — Google review
Monkeys will jump on you if you stay still. Try to take your stuff and examine you. But not in a aggressive way. Please don't feed them! So they will stay that way. The trail is very steep at some points. Be careful.
Hinni T — Google review
Cool little walk, fun walking the boards, the steps can be steep certainly at the opposite end to Ao Nang beach at the end of the trail down to the beach. Great view on the little beach at the end beneath the mountain cliff face. Didn't see any monkeys though...?!? 👍
Daniel P — Google review
We did not feel super safe walking this trail but at least a connection between those two beaches by foot exists. Would not recommend going super late after the sun sets as they did not turn any lights and it gets quite dark. There’s quite a few monkeys but not any that attacked us. It takes about 10 minutes and the way gets quite steep so it is recommended to be in good shape.
A. M — Google review
Really cool trail that takes you to a quiet beach. Loads of monkeys that were very calm and minded their own business so don’t worry about them. Fun little activity.

⭐⭐⭐ Oh, Monkey Trail in Ao Nang, Krabi—what a wild, wacky, and slightly terrifying adventure. My girlfriend and I were pumped to hike this trail this morning (August 24, 2025), expecting a fun jungle jaunt. Instead, we walked straight into a monkey showdown at the entrance, surrounded by a literal landfill of trash. 😱 Plastic bottles, straws, cups—it looked like a post-apocalyptic monkey picnic gone wrong. We couldn’t wrap our heads around the litter chaos. As we approached the trailhead, we were greeted by a furry flash mob—dozens of monkeys swinging from trees, running on the ground, rummaging through trash, and then eyeballing us like we’d strolled into their turf. Most were chill, with adorable baby monkeys tumbling around, riding on mamas back, and looking like tiny fluffballs of cuteness. But then, out of nowhere, a massive, beady-eyed male monkey—let’s call him King Kong’s cranky caffeinated cousin—locked onto my girlfriend’s Thai tea like it was the Holy Grail. This dude charged her with the intensity of a caffeinated linebacker. 😬 Fearing a scratch or a chomp from this furry fiend, she threw her plastic cup (complete with straw, lid, and carrier) to the ground. King Kong Monkey pounced, slurped that Thai tea like a frat bro at caffeine happy hour, and left the plastic carnage behind. Mystery solved: the monkeys are the masterminds behind this trashpocalypse! 🙈 Here’s a pro tip: don’t bring plastic bottles and snacks or drinks unless you want to donate them to the monkey mob. The trail is short, you will survive without a water bottle for 1 hour. Leave the plastic items at the hotel and help keep this beautiful area clean and trash free. Krabi, please, we’re begging you—clean up this landfill of an entrance. It’s 2025, we’re almost sending astronauts to Mars, but we can’t invent a monkey-proof trash can? Come on, city officials, hire a worker to warn tourists or build some Fort Knox-level garbage bins before the monkeys start their own recycling empire. 🗑️ Once we escaped the monkey gauntlet and hit the trail, things took a turn for the better. The trail itself was clean, monkey-free, and a legit workout. Yes, monkey trail is monkey free because all the monkeys wait for you to enter the trail and steal your plastic wrapped food and drinks - not a single monkey after venturing 40 feet into the trail! But, Those steps—oh, those endless steps—had us huffing and puffing like we were training for the Stairmaster Olympics. Keep moving, must keep moving though, or the mosquitoes will treat you like an all-you-can-eat buffet. 🦟 The hike was fun, sweaty, and rewarding, with jungle vibes that made us feel like Indiana Jones (minus the treasure, sadly). Lots of selfie photo spots, but don’t stop too long or you will be a main course for the mosquito buffet! Overall, the trail itself was a blast, but the trash-strewn, monkey-mobbed entrance was a nightmare. Three stars for the workout and jungle charm, but Krabi, please save this place from becoming a monkey-run dump! We had fun, but we’re still shaking from that Thai tea caffeinated King Kong heist. 😅 🐒 🙈 🐵

Indian restaurant
Taj Palace Restaurant in Ao Nang, Krabi is renowned for offering an extensive menu of authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant prides itself on using high-quality ingredients imported from India to prepare a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Guests can savor freshly ground spices in classic Indian curries like chicken butter masala and butter paneer, accompanied by a selection of naans and roti.
We recently dined at Tah Palace and overall had a pleasant experience with a few notes for improvement. lordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, which tasted morelike a Butter Chicken in my opinion- rich, creamy, and mildly spiced. Stllenjoyable, just not quite what1 expected. My partner had the Penne Pasta with Mushroom, which was nicely cooked and had good layour, though we both agreed it could have done with a bit more garlic to really bring it to life. Our friends shared a Hawaiian Pizza with Garlic Bread. They said the pizza was tasty, with a good base and topping balance. However, the garlic bread was a little dry - a suggestion might be to serve it as a full baguette with more butter, but that's just their personal preference. For dessert, we tried a few things. The Chocolate Ice Cream was classic and enjoyable. The Fried Ice Cream was a novelty and had a nice texture, but we found the batter a bit too salty, which slightly overpowered the sweetness. The highlight for me was the Mango Sticky Rice with Warm Coconut Milk- it was extremely nice, comforting and well-balanced. However, the lettuce base it was served on was unexpected and didn't quite fithe dish for me. Service was friendly and the setting was relaxed. We'd consider returning, especially if a few of those minor details were fine-tuned.

The food here is not bad. It’s one of these tourist Indian places where they serve everything: from North to South, from East to West and of course Thai food. And oh: Italian food, too. This place does good food but is a little more pricey as it is western food. The taste of all food items was great and the ingredients are clearly fresh. All of our food arrived at the same time and was warm. The servers are polite and kind. I came during low season so a reservation was not necessary but in high season I recommend placing one. Keep in mind opening hours for the kitchen are 5pm-945pm so don’t arrive too late! The one complaint I have is that when asking for dressings the serving sizes presented were very small, it would be nicer if they had balsamic vinegar and olive oil present on every table for guests to use as they please.

We came in search for some western food. Took a pizza and a pasta they were both delicious- the pasta was perfectly cooked, not over cooked yet not too hard. If I can say one line ... I have visited Italy and I can say this that the pizza here beats most Italian pizzas in Italy.. so guys please don't miss it . P.S. pls ask the waitress for their no1 and no 2 pizzas .. we tried their no 2 pizza with burratta cheese .. and we fell in love instantaneously .. cheers . Happy eating .

I stopped here to grab a takeaway. It had a lovely friendly vibe and there were a few people eating there, which is always good. I’d not be well so wanted something normal and went for a Spag Bol. It didn’t take long and was still hot when I got home. Delicious favourite, plenty of Parmesan to sprinkle too. Lovely.

Caesar Pizza is a wonderful and charming Italian restaurant that stands out for its cleanliness and organization. The atmosphere is enhanced by lovely background music, creating a relaxing dining experience. From the warm and heartfelt welcome to the exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff, everything about the service was top-notch. They went above and beyond to meet all our special requests. The prices are fair, making it a fantastic choice for anyone craving Italian food in Ao Nang. Highly recommended for a memorable meal!
