We booked our stay at The Hilltop Ao Nang, Krabi via Airbnb, and despite a delayed flight that had us arriving around 7 PM, the experience turned out to be memorable and absolutely worth it. It was raining heavily when we reached, and the staff at the reception were kind enough to safely keep our bags while we headed out for dinner. As a vegetarian, I did face a bit of a challenge finding pure veg food in Ao Nang. One instance was when we ordered vegetarian fried rice, but it was prepared using egg and fish oil. After a conversation with the kitchen, they understood and ensured our food was fully vegetarian going forward. That said, the food was delicious and fresh, and we appreciated the effort they made. We had booked a villa stay for 2 nights for ₹19,177 (~8,300 Thai Baht) and received a 20% discount on our food bill as part of the villa package. The villa itself is perched high up on a lush green hill, and the property arranged for a jeep to transport us and our luggage up to our room. The villa is divided into four private sections, giving you a sense of privacy and space. At check-in, the staff also handed us a mobile phone to connect directly with reception in case of any needs or concerns — a thoughtful touch that made communication easy throughout the stay. Inside the villa, we were welcomed with a platter of fresh fruits, and although the night was filled with the sounds of jungle insects (a reminder that you’re surrounded by nature!), it was peaceful. Just be sure to keep your windows shut, as the area is rich with insect life. But the real highlight? Waking up to a breathtaking panoramic view of Ao Nang beach — absolutely surreal. The entire hilltop is surrounded by greenery and offers a true escape from city life. If you’re looking for a unique, peaceful, and scenic stay in Krabi, The Hilltop is an excellent choice. Just come prepared for nature — and you’ll love every moment like we did.

Shuttle service from hotel to the restaurant. Greeted by the nice view and decor. Great live band that started at 6pm as well. Ordered Thai Food and some cocktails, tasted above average with fresh seafood. Food came out very quickly.

We visited this café twice with our two children, aged 7 and 11. During our first visit on October 10, we came to enjoy the evening sunset. Around 20–25% of the tables on the open terrace were unoccupied. We wanted to sit at a four-person table located in the second row from the railing, which had a nice view of the sunset. The waitress told us that the table was reserved and refused to seat us there. I then asked if we could take a couple of two-person tables in the middle row, so my wife could sit with one child and I with the other at the next table. Several of those tables were empty, but the waitress again refused, saying they were also reserved. Eventually, she seated our family next to the smoking area, only about three meters away, where several people were smoking constantly. It was not a small spot but a designated area with six to eight smoking seats, so the smell of cigarettes lingered around us throughout the dinner. I asked to be moved, but the waitress refused. The same four-person table we initially requested, which she claimed was reserved, remained empty until closing time. We came back again on October 12 for lunch. The café was completely empty, except for one large group occupying three tables in a row. That group left literally two minutes after we arrived, before we even had time to order. After that, we were the only guests in the entire café. We asked a different waitress, who was working that day, to seat us at the corner table in the front row, where there is a beautiful sea view from two sides. She also refused, saying that this table was reserved, and seated us at another one with a much worse view instead. We stayed there for about an hour and a half, and the “reserved” corner table remained unused the entire time. The distance between the table we were given and the one we asked for was no more than five meters, so the refusal cannot be explained by laziness or convenience. It appeared to be a deliberate decision. Our impression from both visits was the same: the staff consistently refused to seat us at better tables under the false pretext of reservations, even when those tables stayed empty the whole time. This cannot be justified by occupancy. During the first visit, about 20% of the tables were empty, yet a family with children was seated in the worst possible place, right next to a large smoking area just three meters away. During the second visit, the café was absolutely empty, the only group left two minutes after our arrival, and still we were denied the table we requested, which remained vacant. The overall impression from our experience is the complete lack of customer orientation and disregard for guest comfort. Regardless of the reason—personal bias, internal rules, or selective treatment—the staff repeatedly and unjustifiably refused reasonable seating requests, even when the café was nearly empty.

Amazing view!! Seriously the view is what makes it. The service was wonderful. They organised a complimentary shuttle to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel. The food was good. The cocktail were great. But it's the view!!! The view is incredible.!!!

Found this place through social media, was a bit nervous that it was just a picturesque restaurant with mediocre food however both views and food did not disappoint. Papaya salad was fresh and light & for my meal I had the curry crab with rice, it was delicious! And the best part was to enjoy this food with the amazing sunset

Second visit❤️❤️ Stayed in Thailand for two weeks, and this was the best restaurant we found. The texture of the fried dishes was absolutely amazing. The owner and staff were also very kind and welcoming. Unlike most Thai restaurants that don’t usually offer chopsticks, this place did — which was super convenient. We have quite picky tastes, but everything we tried here was delicious.

We happened to be the last customers just before closing time, yet the staff welcomed us warmly with kindness and politeness. Despite the late hour, the service was fast and attentive. We ordered fried shrimp, chicken satay, pork boat noodles, chicken Pad Thai, Kua Gai, and Thai milk tea — every dish arrived quickly, full of flavor, and carried that truly authentic Thai taste. What impressed us even more was the value — the price for such delicious, quality food was surprisingly reasonable. We were so happy with this wonderful local dining experience. Highly recommended!

Pretty good. Shop is easy to spot. Boss speak good english. Inside is clean and bright. Boat noodle and satay is nice.. Price is reasonable. Also gave free fruits and some snacks for the kids.

This boat noodle is absolutely amazing — the best I’ve ever tried! The flavor is rich and authentic, with perfectly balanced seasoning. It is not like other with very sweet seasoning flavor. On top of that, it’s very affordable, making it a great value for such delicious food. A must-try if you’re in the area!

What an excellent find!!! The food was so tasty (you have try the satay skewers and spicy egg salad!) and the staff really kind and attentive. A true gem!

Ordered the boat noodle & grilled pork. Boat noodle was subpar, broth was not so flavourful, a tad sweet for my liking. Beef ball also tasted like more flour than meat. Grilled pork was very dry that we did not finish it at all. Flavour was also off. Overall, food was just meh.

Visiting the Krabi Night Market was a really fun experience! The atmosphere was lively with music, local vibes, and lots of small stalls full of food and souvenirs. We enjoyed several different street food dishes together, and the total price was only 10.8€ – which clearly shows how much cheaper Thailand is compared to Belgium. The food was tasty, freshly prepared, and there was plenty of variety to choose from. Even though it rained quite a lot during the day, the market still had a cozy and vibrant feel. Definitely worth a visit if you want to experience authentic local food at very affordable prices!

A very clean night market as SE Asian night markets go with its own space rather than having to block off streets and deal with passing traffic. It obviously caters to tourists and there is food for all tastes including some very unusual vendors, like the folks serving crocodile meat burgers and kebabs. Food is relatively cheap and delicious and you could eat here every night to save money as there’s a lot of outdoor seating. There’s also a clothing and souvenir section that makes bargain hunting fun and you are expected to haggle. Parents can find amusements for kids, the area is surrounded by bars, there’s Thai kickboxing and live music too. Altogether, a fun place to spend time with the friendly vendors after a day of exploring the many islands.

I spent hours just soaking in the cheerful chaos — eating, exploring, and enjoying the friendly vibe that makes this market one of Ao Nang’s most memorable experiences.

A really nice market with live performances. At 9 PM there are amazing fire shows! The seating area is well organized they actually ask people who stand up to move if they block the view, which really impressed me. Great and varied food, shakes, cocktails, kids’ activities, small cars for rent, inflatables, and more all at reasonable prices.

Plenty of delicious and viral food choices here! Even though it was raining, the place was still crowded with visitors — especially since it’s the festive holiday season. The food overall was satisfying, and the prices were cheap and affordable for us. For Muslim visitors, just be a bit careful when buying food — make sure it’s halal before ordering. Highly recommend visiting for the lively vibes and great food variety!

Happening place in Ao nang. The night market almost starts around 6pm and goes till midnight. The market has many varieties of food stalls ranging from small snacks to large meals. There are couple of bars near the entrance that offers seating and allows bring outside food (no outside beverage though). Gift shops and dress shops would also be found. Events like music and dance programs happens at stage in front side. Occasionally there could be fire dance show as well.

Visited the Ao Nang Landmark Night Market during my trip, and it turned out to be quite an experience! The market has a vibrant atmosphere lots of lights, music, and a lively crowd that makes for a fun evening stroll. When it comes to shopping, I found most of the stalls quite expensive compared to the Ao Nang beach area. Many of the same souvenirs, clothes, and accessories can be found cheaper elsewhere. That said, it’s still worth browsing for the variety and energy of the place. The food section is the real highlight here! You’ll find an impressive range of options, from local Thai dishes to more exotic offerings like crocodile. The aromas alone are enough to tempt anyone. What’s even better is that vegetarians won’t feel left out, there are plenty of veggie-friendly stalls serving fresh salads, smoothies, fruit bowls, and Thai-style vegetarian meals. Overall, it’s a great place to visit for food lovers and those looking to soak in the night market vibe, even if you skip the shopping.

Perfect for a late evening Stroll, Plenty of Food Options, As Vegeterians we tried the Potato Twisters, Italian Pizza, Cheesy Garlic Bread, Fresh Coconut Water, Diced Sweet Mangoes, & an Ice cream! We obviously had to cancel our dinner plans!! 😅 There's plenty of thai food and other variety of authentic street food options for non vegeterians. Apart from the eateries, there are fun play sections for the kids. Bouncy castle, etc right in the center of the Night Market. Plenty of Shopping options, but we've seen better prices and variety in markets in Bangkok. Frankly only exciting things were hand carved and hand made items. Didn't get a chance to click more photos, but you'll get the gist. Oh! Before I forget there’s also a Muai Thai Boxing Arena in the night market, they charge about 1200baht for entry.

Good place to watch sunset. Hidden gem close to the center of Annan beach. They have shuttle service to pick us up from hotel. Food is very delicious. Staff are friendly and very helpful. The vibes and views at this restaurant during sunset were incredible! From beginning to end the service was top notch and very responsive. They even picked us up from our hotel in a free shuttle. We ate the soft shell crab, prawn cakes, BBQ river prawn, grilled seabass and coconut milk ice cream - delicious! Great spot for a romantic, elevated dining experience in Krabi.

Corn soup with crab meat was delightful. We ordered Cripsy fish which was quite interesting and tasty. Fried chicken presentation was nice but didnt taste that great Lovely ambience, restaurant is at a elevated level and the sunset view would have been awesome.

Ate here last night and it was AMAZING ! I had the pineapple fried rice and my friend had prawns with cashew nuts - both super delicious! The service was caring, warm and welcoming. Really nothing but incredible things to say about this place. Suprisingly it wasn’t crowded at all. We went there during sunset - I highly recommend. This would be the perfect place for a romactic date.

Relaxing sanctuary in the hills of Ao Nang. The customer service is exemplary with food to match. Sun set is a must. A great menu choice that caters for all, including our young children. A must when in Ao Nang!

The tapas didn’t disappoint! Ordered several Tapas including the pork ribs, salmon and duck dumplings. Great fusion of Thai and western cuisines. The beef cheek with curry was interesting. Service was fast and friendly. Staff were very attentive. There’s live band at night and the atmosphere here is just excellent. Drinks are on the expensive side.

We had our NYE dinner here. Jenna herself was very nice at the booking, we got a nice table outside. The service was excellent and the live music ( one South African guy) great. But the food topped it all! Whatever we picked was great! Foie Gras, salmon Tatar, the Burger, snow fish with blue crab meat, beef marokkan style, pavlova, mousse au chocolate, ice cream semifredo- everything was delicious and beautifully presented! Great choice!

A lovely evening with great food, good wine, and excellent live music. The prices definitely reflect the quality of the food, which is fantastic. Being near the beach we had fish-- salmon and barramundi. We thoroughly enjoyed the dishes and thought the Sauvignon Blanc was one of the best we've had. The staff were attentive without hovering and were well informed on the menu. Definitely recommend going for a special meal.

We were pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. In a sea of overpriced and underwhelming places to eat in AoNang, we thought this would be the same. Yes it is expensive, although I believe it is priced correctly for the standard of food and brilliant service provided. We ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli to share and as mains, I ordered the lamb shank and my partner the green curry. The lamb dish was a big portion and was one of the best I've had and the green curry was by far the best we've had in Thailand. The frozen mango cocktail was a hit with my partner as well. Oh and the airconditioned inside portion of the restaurant was a huge plus for me as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for Western or Thai dishes in a fine dining setting.

Seriously, what a delightful and extremely flavorful and filling dinner. This is our second time and they never disappoint, if anything it was 10x better than I remember. Fast and fantastic service. Huge dishes absolutely worth the price. Ambience with nightly music. Lamb shank and sea bass with prawns were to.die.for. Only overshadowed by the best superfood salad that we got as an appetizer. The One downside I can recall is I didn’t have room for dessert!

A cute authentic Indian restaurants. Although there are many similar Indian restaurants in the area, this is the one I found with the best score & reviews on Google Maps, and it definitely didn't disappoint. We came for dinner and ordered several dishes for a sharing meal. From the salad section we ordered a simple vegetable salad that was fresh and accompanied the heavy Indian stews perfectly. We also ordered a vegetable samosas that were tasty, and although it's basically a deep fried dish, they didn't feel too greasy which was great. For mains we ordered our favorite Indian dish - chicken tikka masala that was full of flavor and delicious just as we expected. We ordered another chicken based dish that was similar to the masala, and this one was also very delicious and full of flavor. If you're looking for an authentic Indian experience in Krabi, this is a great option.

So glad we found this place - everything was excellent. The staff are amazing and are very helpful with allergens (gluten and dairy). The tawa chicken curry is the best curry I’ve ever had! Also highly recommend the onion bhajis. Definitely a must try!

I was here today looking for a different flavors . First , I have to said I didn’t try before Indian restaurant, only a few dishes in the USA . This was a great experience, dishes are in a big portion and plenty of choices , prices are very affordable. The place is clean and the best is the staff , they do everything possible to please the customers , excellent service and good . Highly recommend is you are coming to Ao Nang Beach !

Authentic Indian or Pakistani food. Our dishes were few but mouth watering packed with flavor and honestly the best food we’ve had here in Krabi— we ordered Tawa Chicken and Kadahi mutton with chapati, it was so tasty. We topped it off with Mango & salted Lassi which were delicious and refreshing. Service was great. The guys made sure our meal was perfect. Honestly I Highly recommended this place and it’s definitely a five ⭐️ hands down.

We tried 4 different restaurants in railay and this one was by far the best. We ended up eating there three times during our stay cause it was that good! Its also very fairly priced when compared to the other restaurants we ate, so I would definitely recommend you try it. We had various dishes in different occasions - prawn dumplings, fish BBQ, pad thai, papaya salad, crab fried rice and deed fried prawns with chilli sauce. I loved all of these as they were super fresh and tasty. My personal favourites was the deep fried prawns with chilli sauce and the fish BBQ. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend it!

The restaurant is huge and there are lots of tables available for dine in. The decoration is also very nice. There are various foods available. What I can say is that the food is delicious. Went here for a lunch and I ordered the cheapest fried rice with no expectations at all but it turned out to be very delicious. The portion is fair and the price is very reasonable considering the location and logistic challenge to arrive here. The service is also good, the waiter is nice and the waiting time is not too long. The restaurant is clean and the environment is very comfortable. Suitable to hang out with friends and family. Recommendedm

We were very happy with our dinner at the Mangrove restaurant tonight. There are many dishes available and seems more reasonably priced than a lot of other restaurants on Railay. We ordered Kao Soi and Som Tham and Pad Thai with a mango and mango/passionfruit smoothie. Everything was delicious. Portions were good/generous. They ask how spicy you like it and provided chilis so I could decide how much to add to the soup. The service is very friendly and kind and there is lots of seating available. Food arrived quickly. We will be coming back! Edit: Came back again for a second time because we visited other places and just didn’t get food as good as here. The place was BUMPING busy but the food still arrived quickly. Stop looking for a good place to eat Thai food in Railay Bay— this is it! Another edit: (came back five times) HONOURABLE MENTIONS OF WHAT YOU SHOULD ORDER: - any of the set menus with the smoothie (I recommend the Kao Soi with a mango/passion fruit smoothie) - grilled chicken - fish in Penang curry sauce - grilled squid - any of the stir fries (we like chicken in basil sauce)

This was one of our favorite meals in Thailand! We were only in Railay Beach for three days and we went twice. We highly recommend the fried cashew chicken, the Panang curry, and the espresso frappe!

a must go if you plan to stay at railay beach for a couple days. we went there for four times during our whole stay. this restaurant has everything you need when your stomach is grumpy and you want to make it happy. nothing beats a Mangrove restaurant holiday😎 my recommend is the bbq chicken, bbq fish, bbq squid, any stir fried veggies and any kind of fried rice. fruit shake is made from real fresh fruit🥹 i like watermelon the best. anyway i don’t think there is a need to be adventurous and to go to other restaurant when Mangrove restaurant is literally the best place to go. they just have everything that your stomach craves. the staff is nice and funny too. love them. will come back again if i have the chance.

We were looking for a restaurant to dine in for the first dinner in Railay. Both Mangrove & Local (right next to Mangrove) looked decent, but after trying both places on a different night, I would vote for this place over the Local Restaurant. The place is cleaner, staff is more friendly, and the food itself is better as well. I really enjoyed their soup & pad thai & mango sticky rice. Their grilled chicken was good as well.

We landed this evening and were looking for a good, quiet restaurant. What a delight it was to find this place – it offers excellent service with warmth and professionalism. The place is beautiful, clean, and has jazz music playing softly in the background. The portions are huge and delicious – consider yourselves warned! I had an outstanding Italian fish soup. I really tried to finish it, but the portion was just too big. My son had Pad See Ew with plenty of chicken pieces – his dish was also large and very tasty. The salads were fresh and carefully prepared. The prices are fair. Don’t miss out – with the check, we received a treasure chest filled with chocolates to sweeten the rest of our evening

Not many classy places in Ao Nang! But this is one of them… Beautiful restaurant, great service and exquisite food. If you want a break from Ao Nangs cheap and tacky please come here!!! Tasteful and delicious… a little peace of Italian bliss.. and wine list best I’ve had in Thailand !!!

It quite difficult to find good and delicious in Aow Nang and I finally found one more. The foods was good Portion matched with price and staff was very friendly. We will come back Absolutely recommend!

We decided to try this place as it’s always busy when we walk past – what a mistake. For a restaurant with such a lovely setting and higher prices, you’d expect the food to be of a good standard, but it was very disappointing. I ordered the lasagna and it was completely dry, with barely a spoonful of beef in the whole dish – basically just pasta and cheese I left half of my dish as it was so dry and unpleasant. The carbonara wasn’t much better, far too salty and really unpleasant. Very underwhelmed with the whole experience and sadly wouldn’t recommend.

Update: third time! Good antipasto misto, as usual!!! Second time at this restaurant. Good food and excellent service. As an Italian I suggest sharing the 'antipasto misto', a mix of cold cut, cheese and good bread. Enjoy!

really great experience in general. had lovely cocktails and some great appetisers, pizza was lovely and so was thai food. lobster pasta wasn’t really worth the money but was presented beautifully. only real issue was that my friend ordered a vanilla milkshake which had a wafer in and she then had an allergic reaction as the wafer had cashew in, not something you would normally expect and the waitstaff weren’t aware of it until they checked the packaging so be aware.

Overall, The Longtail Boat is a pleasant experience, but not one I'm likely to return to. The service is very friendly and efficient. The design of the restaurant is quite nice. The menu is decent with a big enough selection to satisfy everyone. The food was ok overall. Definitely not bad, just not particularly special. The carbonara is made in the traditional way, but the guanciale wasn't cooked properly so lacks a bit of flavour. Not disappointed in the experience we had, but not impressed enough to want to try. So while I wouldn't outright recommend it, I wouldn't recommend against it either.

We have just eaten here twice in a day. For a group of 7, I am sure that says something! Food was all excellent, nothing to fault on any meal/dish/food item we ordered. Also, the cocktails were wonderful. The service is at times fairly slow, but that is due to the volume of people in there.

This was highly rated on Trip Advisor, so we went to check it out. The Thai milk tea was just okay; the green curry was pretty good; but the pad thai was so greasy, it was hard to eat. There was a pool of grease at the bottom of the bowl... would not recommend. The staff was pleasant, but the food was priced a bit higher, so it should have been a bit better quality. Buyer be ware.

Amazing food!! We tried the Bussaba appetisers ta re which is a mix of appetizers, very yamm. Then mains were the Massaman curry chicken and i replaced the roti with vegetable rice. Amazing, not spicy, delicious! My husband tried the chicken green curry, it was too spicy but still awesome. And we finished it with deep fried ice cream which was out of this world and mango waffles with ice cream, again spot on. That mango i dont know how they get it just right but it always tastes perfect. We will come again to try more of their menu. All these plus water and cocktails costed 1227 baht which was decent enough. For the food quality you get its more than worth it!

This is a nice restaurant, a little bit far from the center but with good food and nice ambiance. You can clearly see that the owner has traveled abroad or at least he made some research about how a restaurant should look. Tablecloth, napkins, clean cutlery and friendly staff. At first, I was skeptical to see too many options on the menu (mixed with Western style of food). However their Thai food was amazing! I did pay for the food and service. Staffs are attentive and caring. The quality of the food here is something you'll get in 5 star hotels in big cities. We ordered vege spring rolls, massaman Curry, and fried flat noodles with beef. All were so tasty, especially the massaman curry, wow, it was a highlight of our dinner.

A lovely restaurant, serving one of the best English breakfasts I've ever come across in SE Asia, or beyond! Everything about it was right, with British-style bacon and sausages, brown sauce on the table, fried eggs done perfectly, beans, mushrooms hash browns, etc. etc. Nice background music in here, and genuinely friendly and attentive staff. For less than B300, a true bargain for the fabulous quality here. Their menu is wide-ranging, with a big selection of Thai and western dishes. This was not my first visit to this restaurant. I had visited once before and was very impressed with the meal that I had so I returned and I decided to take some friends who tried several dishes including barbecue ribs, which were slow cooked over 2 hours and its end result was tenderness and flavor. The second dish was a club sandwich was absolutely amazing with perfectly cooked French fries. The sandwich was absolutely amazing with lean bacon. The third dish was a Bolognese with garlic bread. And the 4th dish was a Caesar salad with a poached egg. All meals were absolutely amazing and so well presented. It is nice to go to a restaurant where everything is so well presented, clean and with pleasant service. It's also good to go to somewhere where you are served by the owner who is super attentive and super nice. But most of all when the food is this good it only makes you want to try everything on the menu and I will be back many times taking people with me and advocating the success of A-One Restaurant. I had 2 breakfasts at 'A-One Restaurant' and they were very good. The owner is very friendly - and hardworking on the days that I went. Interior decor is very attractive, and there is outside and inside dining. She appears to have many regularly returning customers, which says a lot. Well worth a visit. Everything was very good. Cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had in awhile. Coconut shake was also delightful and sweet. My partner got the duck curry and said it was perfect. I got the sea bass with mashed potatoes and veggies and it was soooooo good and filling. Veggies cooked perfectly and mash was amazing. I will definitely come back and try more as they have a huge menu. We also liked the shrimp cakes and it was ALOT of food especially for the price.

After an extended wait, I finally had to call someone over just to get a menu. Once my order was taken, the food arrived quickly, and I appreciated the efficiency at that stage. That said, the initial lack of attention made the visit less welcoming than it could have been. Overall, we tried the Turkish eggs, a smoothie bowl, and the build-a-bowl, which was our favorite because you can create what you like and it’s very filling. The cafe prices were pretty standard, if not cheaper than what I am used to seeing in western cafes in Thailand. The food on the other hand is pretty spot on with other western style restaurants in Thailand, and people should understand that paying for foreign style food in a tourist area is going to raise the asking price. Our meal was still not even half the cost that it would have been in the States. This restaurant had a good atmosphere, and we would surely return.

This was the best cafe/restaurant where we had western food in Ao Nang. Quality was there and the people working there were extremely friendly. Also the coffee Monday was nice! We paid 1000baht for 2 meals and 2 drinks which I find expensive considering it is Thailand — I would pay less for the same where I come from in Europe but again it was great experience 🫶
