Pizza the Action

Definitely a 5 star based on my limited, but good experience. Nipped in on way to shop to try out. Just had a wee 7 inch to try and went for the Meat, Meat, Meat. Great base, sauce had good flavour and meat toppings were fine. A great fast food pizza.

I have used PTA several times without complaint. However, our order on 11th September - apart from taking 1 1/2 hours to arrive was simply awful. We placed a large order for several pizzas - every single one was sub standard and virtually inedible. 50% of each pizza seemed to consist of thick crust, there was barely any toppings - and the toppings that were actually on the pizzas were dried up and tasteless. For all the difference, we could have been eating the cardboard boxes the pizzas came in, it was that bad. My guess is that given the very long time taken for delivery, the pizzas had been left in the boxes for a long time - hence they were dried out and barely warm. Having paid over £80 !! for our order this was simply unacceptable. It may have been a “one off” bad night but I doubt very much if I will ever use them again.

Real pizza made by a real man. The staff are always friendly, even when they are really busy. Modestly priced pizza and always willing to tweak their extensive menu to suit your needs. They deliver quite far from their shop too, which some other takeaways are not willing to do!

Very disappointing. Young guy needed to ask three times pizzas we wanted -- and then still managed to get one wrong. What we did get was two below average pizzas. Bases ok but tomato sauce like something from a jar and hardly any cheese. We went for pizza passing through Stonehaven as it's quick and simple and hard to believe anyone can get it wrong. This place managed it.

What can I say, guys? Jesus. Let’s push things way back, back to 2013. Chilling in Stonehaven and, I wonder to myself - “where can a young fellow like myself get some tasty munch?” As I am not a Stonehaven local, I only knew of The Bay - but, I was not in the mood for chips. I searched throughout Stoney to find something to fill the gaping hole that was being ripped open in my stomach, searching as it gets bigger and bigger. Then as I almost lost all hope, I saw it, like a mirage in the desert, it enticed me. Drawing me in, like the hand that smells in cartoons make. When I ordered my pizza, I sat in wait. Having a slight chuckle to myself at the “Say no to drugs, Say YES to pizza!” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster - which I now have one in my home. The whole place just feels so comfortable, the staff are never too shy to tell you about their constant deals that they have everyday, and they are not too stressed to smile. A smile makes all the difference in my eyes. Jesus, I even took my girlfriend here the first time we met up, telling her how it is the best pizza in this area! In conclusion, if you’re hungry, bored, lonely, stoned, drunk, or all of the above, it doesn’t matter - Pizza the Action is not just a place for pizza! But a place for love! Ps, you guys need to start making merchandise...
