Shopping mall
Shopping
Bon Accord Aberdeen is a central shopping mall featuring over 65 stores, including upscale fashion boutiques, cafes, and sushi spots. It's home to popular brands like Next, New Look, Hobbs, and Sostrene Grene as well as local retailers offering unique shopping experiences. During the festive season, Bon Accord transforms into a magical Christmas destination with Santa's workshop supporting local charity Charlie House and Christmas-themed Mini Golf fun.
Negative Parking Review: The parking experience at BON Accord Shopping Centre was quite disappointing. The car park layout is cramped with narrow spaces, making it difficult to park larger vehicles. Signage is confusing, leading to a frustrating experience when trying to find a spot or exit. Additionally, the pricing seems steep compared to other nearby car parks, and the payment machines are outdated, often causing delays. For a shopping centre of this size, I expected a more convenient and accessible parking arrangement. Positive Overall Review: Overall, BON Accord Shopping Centre is a fantastic place for shopping and leisure. It offers a great selection of stores, catering to various tastes and budgets, with everything from popular high street brands to unique independent shops. The food court has a decent variety of dining options, making it easy to grab a quick bite or enjoy a sit-down meal. The centre is well-maintained and clean, and staff are friendly and helpful. The location in the heart of Aberdeen makes it convenient, and it’s a go-to spot for all kinds of shopping needs.
Mujeeb R — Google review
Favourite shopping destination for people in Aberdeen. Located at the heart of the city centre.
Akhy D — Google review
Lovely shopping mall and in amongst lovely surroundings. Plenty of historic churches, the docks, the art gallery and the music hall very nearby, the huge library and so many theatres and wonderful paintings; even the sides of several buildings nearby and gorgeous parkland very nearby. I think Aberdeen is a wonderful place to visit and has a great deal to offer any visitor.
Jason G — Google review
I like it. There's a wide variety of stores and options for you to get almost anything you're looking for. It's basically a simpler version of Union Square which is close-by. Additionally, you can walk through the Bon Accord as a shortcut linking union street and the other streets behind Bon Accord. This is very helpful. There is a post office, pharmacy, multiple jewellery stores, eateries, and many more outlets for a good shopping and leisure experience.
Enoch O — Google review
Bon Accord is a handy little shopping centre for everyday needs. It’s not huge and the range of shops is limited, but you can still find something useful. There’s a big Boots, a Next, New Look, and a couple of cafés upstairs where you can grab a quick bite. Nothing fancy, but it’s clean and convenient if you just want to pop in after work for some essentials.
Mila K — Google review
Shopping centre is good. Choice of shops are ok but the sainsburys that's in between the two centers is just a simple joke, the staff are clueless and this management has not done good for the brand and should be looked into. Clueless and can't even communicate with customers
J O — Google review
Its getting busier again the bon accord shoping center. Which once was the inn center to visit, is coming back. New shops that have closed recently in Aberdeen have reopened in bon accord like fat face.

Aberdeen Art Gallery, housed in a stunning granite building, showcases an extensive collection of art spanning over 700 years. The gallery features 22 galleries and exhibits, including paintings, designs, and contemporary artworks. It also includes the Cowdray Hall concert venue and the city's Remembrance Hall. Renowned for its Victorian architecture by Alexander Marshall Mackenzie, it is the largest public art gallery in northern Scotland.
Lovely place to visit and fit donation only Enjoyed the variety of art and the encouragement to do my own drawing. Photos of my favourite pieces which are mainly contemporary but a lot of classical pieces too. Gallery is light and bright with sun light through sun column in middle. Do visit the top floor to be able to go outside and see Aberdeen with height..Great coffee too

Spent a couple of hours exploring this gallery and was most impressed. While the collection is naturally focused on Aberdeen and Scottish art, it does have a diversity of art, including sculptures, paintings, modern, eclectic, and also works by the French Impressionists (Renoir, Monet). The galleries are well laid out, and the artwork is well presented in a family-friendly way. This is a definite gem in Aberdeen’s cultural and heritage portfolio. Well worth visiting when in Aberdeen. Highly recommended.

Beautiful gallery with so many incredible features. The building itself is gorgeous, along with all the fascinating artwork 🖼️ exhibitions and the roof terrace is an added bonus. The gallery is full of interesting exhibitions, some interactive - from Aberdeen history to suffragette movements. It is absolutely worth a visit, it’s free and I definitely recommend the stunning views from the roof terrace too. Fo not miss this place. Thanks to all the tinder staff for galleries like this ❤️

I make it a point to visit an art gallery in every city I go to. These days many galleries focus on modern art which is not really my thing so it was great to see Aberdeen Art Gallery still showcasing traditional styles that clearly remain valued by the public. There are some incredible pieces here and I even discovered a few new favourites. Special shout out to Joseph Farquharson and Ken Currie in my opinion two of the most amazing artists with paintings on display. The staff are very welcoming and do not pressure you into donations which is appreciated since the gallery like many others is free to explore. It is on the smaller side which is a bit of a downside but for its size it packs in a great variety of work. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Aberdeen.

Huge art gallery with interesting interactive display in the ground floor explaining the history. Good mix of styles and eras. Highlights: Fascinating room on McBey Interesting comparison of English/ French styles in impressionists. The Aberdeen/ Doric room Shocked to come across my young doppelganger, painted by Dorothy Johnstone. Nice shop Helpful staff. A jewel for the region and well beyond P.S. What happened to the bodies under Gallery 4?
Felicity G — Google review
Enjoyable, friendly and easily accessible visit. Just a shame about the disabled parking outside. The number of people without badges sitting, waiting in their cars is a real slight on the city. Hopefully the gallery is doing what they can to get this changed so their visitors can actually get close to the place.

Theaters
His Majesty's Theatre, an iconic Edwardian venue in Aberdeen, is a popular attraction known for hosting classic drama, musicals, opera, and dance performances. Renowned for its unique features and prestigious status in Scotland, the theatre has welcomed esteemed personalities like Sir Sean Connery and Sir Ian McKellan. Designed by architect Frank Matcham and refurbished in 2006 with a stunning glass-fronted box office, it can accommodate up to 1,400 people.
We went to watch the six musical. My daughter loved it! The theater is massive! Pick your seat wisely..we had the seats at the top at the back I didn't expect it to be so high..I got a bit anxious about it but it was fine. The seats are a bit dated and needing a bit of a refresh but all in all was a good theater and show.
Lorna M — Google review
The theatre was easy to get into to, button operated door. The only issue I encountered was the disabled toilet in the foyer corridor was very hard to get into. It was a narrow corridor and the door opened out into the corridor. I had to wheel past the door turn face on open pull the door and wheel backwards to pull door back against the wall. As there wasn't enough room to open door and stay facing the opening then wheel in while pulling the door from fully against the wall to closed. Then do the same to get out, while trying not to hit other patrons. Another wheelchair user had to drive about a meter forward so I could open the door fully to get out, they then had to reverse into the toilet as had to room to turn around. The toilet right beside the seats was fantastic, very spacious and room to maneuver the door. The staff were brilliant at helping me find my space and offering assistance with doors and where things were. My seat had an amazing view, was on a slightly raised platform so I could see above everyone's heads. If you're going to see the lion the witch and the wardrobe, you will love it. Would recommend this theatre for wheelchair users, very accesible. Jut use the toilet near the seats for easier use.

Great evening out seeing Six. Sat in the upper circle where we had a good view of the stage. Leg room was okay, seat cushions very comfortable. Felt fine for an 80 minute single act show. Everyone friendly and helpful.
Ian R — Google review
We had seats up in the balcony it’s a bit of a climb although there is a lift that takes you half way but if your mobility is not great I’d recommend seats lower down. Despite the climb the view was good and certainly didn’t spoil the show. Absolutely fantastic and will definitely be back for more shows in the future.

A great show in a beautiful building. Loses a star only for the seats which are very cramped in knee room for anyone approaching or over 6ft tall. However, good views even in the cheap seats and the acoustics are fantastic.

We stayed for a few nights. We were comfortable We loved having two pillows each The bath/spa was very long, I loved lounging in a hot tub after a long day out touring. The shared kitchen was comfortable and offered free coffee. It also had a microwave There was no guest fridge, we hid our one small milk in the back of the staff fridge

In the heart of Aberdeen. Great location. Staff were very friendly. Good spot to stay if staying for a stag or hen. Nice outdoor bar. Good drink promotions
Niall H — Google review
Lovely bar. Good atmosphere and good music. However, charged 2 different prices for the same cocktail which was also made differently (missing 1 shot of alcohol) depending on who made it. Had a great time however it seems like it just depends who you are served by which determines the service and standard.
Linda C — Google review
Everything was fab apart from no air con in the hotel/ it wasn’t working. I would however stay here again.
Holly C — Google review
I had a small single room, and it was just perfect. Firm, but comfortable bed, powerful shower, clean and quiet. No kettle in the room, but an area nearby with a coffee/hot water machine, microwave, vending machine, fresh fruit, and everything you need to make a nice cuppa Tables and games available there too. Easy check in/out, with lovely staff.
Carolyn M — Google review
We stayed here for two nights. The rooms are tiny, no power sockets next to the bed, USB socket defective, window subterranean towards a busy road. The bathroom is equally tiny, tall or big people will have problems to just sit on the toilet straight. To place two bigger bags or suitcases in the room is like playing Tetris. The community room is about 28 degrees warm and has no air. However, the coffee is good if there is water in the machine. If not, congratulations, you can go back to your room an get some from the tab because there is none next to the machine. All staff I met were friendly and efficient - no complaints. I guess the hotel is catering more towards the young crowd as the bar turns into a disco in the evenings. Average age is 12 (I am exaggerating) They serve shots, beer and a Gin Tonic that mostly tastes of chlorine because the ice cubes are made from tap water. Would I recommend the place as a hotel? Definitely No! Did I mention it is not cheap? It you want to enjoy some drinks and music, maybe.
Stefan W — Google review
Staff team were friendly and welcoming. Bar was cosy and drinks were a good price. The room was in need of a little TLC with some updates required. There were some holes in the wall in one of the rooms. Locks didn't work on the bathroom and the sink plug didn't stay down. Would be nice if some tea / coffee items could be provided.

Shri Bheema's is a popular and stylish restaurant in Aberdeen, offering classic Indian dishes from both the North and South regions. The family-owned venue has earned numerous awards for its authentic cuisine and chic yet homey atmosphere. Named after a character from an ancient Indian epic poem, the restaurant is known for its strength in serving delectable dishes like prawn jalfrezi and Dum Ki Nalli.
Again came because of the reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant, staff very friendly and nice, house music playing in the background which I love and all around lovely experience. It's the first Indian I've had in Scotland and I don't come here often but if I'm ever back in Aberdeen again I'll definitely come back here ! 👌🏻

Worst biriyani in Aberdeen. They are just mixing up some rice with some other Curry or some other dishes. Just reheating it. Service is really bad. I asked for pack my balance food for not wasting it. But they just dropped a parcel box and carry bag on my table to pack myself. Such a rude behavior. Never ever visit again or don't recommend to anyone.

Very good Indian food, buffet lunch for 11.99 pounds. Highly recommended for vegans as well. Some dishes are veeeery spicy, watch out! Very friendly stuff, halped us with allergens. The restaurant is located in a nice area of Aberdeen, felt a bit lost entering the building but, once inside the restaurant, the atmosphere is very nice.

Upperkrust Aberdeen is a delightful sandwich shop that offers a diverse menu and flavorful dishes. The prices are reasonable, and the establishment has a distinct independent vibe, setting it apart from generic chain stores. While the indoor seating capacity is limited, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The menu boasts an extensive selection of delectable treats, generously portioned to satisfy any appetite. With so many enticing options, multiple visits will be necessary to fully explore all that Upperkrust Aberdeen has to offer.
A real taste of Aberdeen hospitality! The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was excellent as was the atmosphere. An independent business that deserves all the support that it gets!

It's a small but comfortable place with a different vibe. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'd give a 4 on cleanliness, but I wouldn't call it dirty. The food was in generous portions (we had the tuna melt and baked potatoes) and so was the coffee. Overall, we were very happy with the meal.

This place should be named one of Aberdeen gems!!! The service, food and atmosphere are a delight you cannot miss if you come to visit Aberdeen , I am a resident and I hace a severe addiction to this place and I come to order my breakfast wrap once a week, at least. For the same standar price you can add fillings and their catering variety is so wide. They also have all sweet tooth treats for a nice cuppa and even they have party packages .

The bar is known for its delicious cocktails and live DJ sets, making it a great spot to enjoy good food and drinks. With an outdoor seating area, it's especially popular when the sun is out.
Not the type of venue that I would normally visit but what a surprise. The staff were outstanding in the delivery of customer service, which all seemed to be very natural. Our dog was also made most welcome and the staff couldn't have been more helpful in assisting my wife to enter and leave the premises despite her using a mobility scooter. The food was terrific and we left assuring ourselves that we have been missing out by not visiting sooner.

We visited last night for a 'Virgin Experience Cocktail Master Class'. The Master Class from Paddy was excellent. He was professional, knowledgeable and personable. We 100% recommend him. We learned lots from him. However, our pre-booked, post-Experience meal 'experience' was rubbish. Paddy made sure our starter arrived soon after our cocktails (at 7.15pm) but the rest of our pre-ordered meal never arrived, despite asking for it from the person who we thought was in charge of getting food out - she was singularly focused on other people (Tall Ships crew). We left because over an hour between a starter and the non-arrival of a main (despite asking for it) is just rubbish. DO: Go to Revolution because Paddy is excellent. NEVER EVER: Go to Revolution because everyone else appears to be rubbish.

His culinary journey through Japan has allowed him to master authentic flavors and select top-notch ingredients. This casual yet stylish eatery offers an array of dishes ranging from generous sharing plates to tantalizing small bites.
Very enjoyable dinner here recently. Ate our fill! Good selection of cold and hot options. All the classics are there as well as some new ones (at least for me) Highlights was the tuna ceviche, the pork belly nap and my personal favourite the octopus balls. Total cost was £80 inc a number of beers for two.

The food was so good that I totally forgotten to take pictures of them. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. Not forgetting the service was superb as well. When you get in, it looks small but there’s another door that goes upstairs with more seating. Upstairs would be a nice place for a private function. Totally recommend this place for a good Japanese meal.
Annette G — Google review
Food was fantastic although I was unable to try the ramen as they stop selling this after around 7. However the staff were very friendly and talked us through the menu and even encouraged us to try the octopus balls (something I would usually avoid at all costs) but I must say they were excellent and I was left wanting more. They even gave us some free plum wine as it was my birthday, the plum wine was delicious and very sweet.
Kevin M — Google review
Excellent food and service, love the menu where the chef decides what you will be served, based on what you tell the waiter you like and don't. High quality ingredients, would not say all dishes are 100% authentic but all a delight nonetheless. The decoration by the bar is very Japanese-like, well done

Good japanese place in Aberdeen. Although i dont think there are many options! Menu is chicken and pork oriented, limited desserts option. Great food, great vibe, well priced, staff are super friendly but when we visited the service was a bit slow due to limited staff.
Raihan M — Google review
We went for my boyfriend's birthday and had a good enough time. However, despite the excellent table service, upon arrival we were disappointed by the kitchen on more than one instance. We both love ramen and always have it when we go to a new Asian place; unfortunately, when we got there at 20.15 we were told ramen is not served at this time as it is a big hassle. Had we known that in advance, we would probably have changed our plans and gone there for lunch instead. After this initial disappointment it also became clear some of the salmon dishes are not available either. The portions were rather small, but the waitress did let us know about that so it was fine. When we got the food our 'meh' attitude was turned around - the octopus balls and the salad were fabulous! Gyoza and the chicken dish with the egg dip (cant remember the name) were also spot on, so at the end of the day we did have a nice dinner just not what we were expecting. The girl who served our food and helped us choose was very nice, she also offered us a complimentary shot of plum wine which was 11/10 and made my night! P.s I forgot to take pictures of all the food, but it all looked good

Duthie Park Winter Gardens is such a unique and beautiful spot for a wedding! Lush greenery, vibrant blooms, and the most gorgeous natural light—it’s like stepping into a little tropical paradise in the heart of Aberdeen. The atmosphere is so relaxed and romantic, making it the perfect backdrop for capturing love stories. Easily one of my favourite spots to photograph, and it never disappoints!

Wow ! what a lovely park with so many attractions, including an amazing indoor plant area with a massive selection of erotic species. In the Winter Gardens. Boating lakes, ornamental lakes, childrens playground and a lovely cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of seating in the David Welch Winter Gardens to sit and relax, admiring all the amazing plants. Not a very big car park but it was free on the Sunday we went.

Bustling, cheery spot with comfy seating and wifi. Coffee drinks are excellent. Food is vegetarian and eclectic, with lots of fresh and inventive salads. I had beet and goat cheese with a veggie roll (stuffed with chick peas). The staff are chatty and kind. I will be back any time I'm in Aberdeen.

Absolutely loved this place! The vibe is upbeat and welcoming, perfect for a relaxed meal. The salads and beverages were fresh and flavorful, but the standout was definitely the mango chutney grilled cheese—such a unique twist and so delicious! Most salads you could get half and half. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and atmosphere, definitely give this place a try!

I had a great brunch at FoodStory. Even though I'm not a vegetarian, the food was so nice that I considered becoming one! I had the everything toast, a great combination of flavours. The place itself is lovely and welcoming, with a friendly atmosphere. Plus, it's dog-friendly, which was handy, as we had the dog with us. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a vegetarian and/or dog friendly cafe

I loved the atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff. I haven't tried a huge amount for their food, mainly just drinks, but the food looks fantastic. I came here to meet a friend on a few occasions and once to just relax and do some light work on my laptop, I always ended up staying for hours; a very warm and relaxing environment.

CASC Bar, short for Cigars, Ale, Scotch Coffee, is a cozy establishment known for its wide array of cigars, ales, whiskeys and coffee. The bar boasts an impressive selection of over 200 bottled beers from around the world and 28 rotating craft beers on tap. Additionally, it offers more than 400 types of Scotch and world whiskies.
I found CASC (Cigars Ale Scotch Coffee) to be a unique bar in the city with a great selection of Craft beers that I haven't seen anywhere else in all of Scotland. It was a refreshing change of pace from the standard pub offering. I only went there for the beer but enjoyed the little bit of cigar smoke aroma outside from other patrons. Had it been earlier in the night, the coffee options looked wondrous.

Great bar. Dan the bartender was excellent in sugesting whiskys to me. He was very helpful. One needs a good guide like him to show you the good stuff. Only got there twice but will be back every time I am in town. Great selection of good whiskys.

Brilliant bar. Loads of awesome ales. Hundreds of awesome whiskys and brilliant staff. If you smoke they also have what a dedicated temperature controlled and dehumidified cigar room.

Big fan of this place. It's in a basement down a granite street by the bus station and has a huge range of beer available, but the big draw is the whisky range which is massive. Staff know a lot about the drink on offer which is always nice to see and are friendly. There's a whisky list on their website to look at as there's no printed one. They also do cigars if that's your thing!

Museums
Specialty Museums
The Aberdeen Maritime Museum, situated in the historic Shiprow district, offers an immersive experience into the city's maritime heritage and its significant role in the North Sea oil and gas industry. Housed in the intriguing 16th-century Provost Ross's House, this museum showcases a diverse collection of models, photographs, and paintings that chronicle the evolution of the Dee estuary's port and depict the challenging lives of whale-hunters, herring fishermen, and North Sea traders.
Visited the Aberdeen Maritime Museum on a quiet Monday afternoon and had a truly enjoyable experience. The receptionist was incredibly warm and welcoming, setting a positive tone for the visit. The exhibits are thoughtfully curated, blending the city’s rich maritime heritage with fascinating displays that appeal to all ages. It’s a gem tucked in the heart of Aberdeen and a perfect way to spend a few reflective hours. Entry is free which is amazing for what you get, but I do encourage visitors to donate 💰 if they can to support the continued care and presentation of this beautiful museum. You may have to wait a tiny little queue if it’s a busy day, staff are always ready to help on each floor with a smile. They have pamphlets for non-English speakers, so no excuse for you not to go. It is accessible for all abilities as long as there is an assigned carer to assist throughout your visit. This is one of the places you want to bring children and young adults to see what history and beauty this place holds and preserves. Highly recommend! ✨✨ Titi ❤️

I really enjoyed my visit to the museum. It was a great way to learn about not only maritime facts such as oil rigs and ships but also Aberdeen history. All the displays were done with great care and the exhibitions were very informative. The view to the port was also splendid and the gift shop selection was nice.
Kitti S — Google review
An excellent experience. An easy walk from the Railway Station. This museum is free, but you can donate by card or cash. Very friendly staff and an amazing space over five floors and three buildings. The museum features the maritime history of the area as well as the oil and gas industry. It also features exhibits on occasion. A reasonably priced gift shop featuring local souvenirs. I would visit here if you have an interest in maritime history, but is interesting for those who aren't.

Lovely museum, lovely architecture. The cherry on the cake was the free guided tour tough, offered by knowledgeable and utmost kind Robert who made it special by picking a particular parts and making his lecture around these. Learned a lot and in a very friendly atmosphere, many thanks!!

A visit worth taking while in Aberdeen (or if residing here). Deployed in 4 floors, illustrates the history of Aberdeen shipbuilding and UK offshore drilling off Scotland coast. The abundance of wood all around creates a really cozy environment. Allow >1 hour to tour as it’s really interesting.

Can’t believe this amazing place is free! 😍 I love museums...they always take us back in time and make us feel part of history. The displays, ship models, and harbour views here were just beautiful. 🌊⚓️ The Aberdeen Maritime Museum, located on Shiprow overlooking the harbour, is one of the city’s most fascinating free attractions. It’s housed in a blend of historic and modern buildings, including Provost Ross’s House, which dates back to 1593. The museum beautifully showcases Aberdeen’s deep connection with the sea — from shipbuilding and fishing to the modern North Sea oil and gas industry. One of its main highlights is the impressive 9-metre model of the Murchison oil platform, along with intricate ship models, artefacts, and interactive displays spread across four floors. Visitors can also enjoy stunning views of the harbour from the upper galleries, making it a perfect mix of history, culture, and coastal charm. 🌊⚓️

The Silver Darling, located in the old customs house at Aberdeen Harbour, offers a delightful dining experience with its modern, light-filled ambiance and fantastic coastal views. This renowned restaurant has been serving top-notch Scottish and English seafood for 30 years. The French-inspired menu changes seasonally, offering a variety of delectable dishes such as the Silver Darling North Sea Platter featuring excellent local seafood.
Wonderful restaurant in Aberdeen, in the harbour area, overlooking the sea. The crab soup as a starter was the best dish I could have chosen. We went with friends I was travelling with to Scotland, to try the fish and chips, and we were not disappointed at all!
Jacopo M — Google review
I booked dinner by myself here for my 55th birthday. I was traveling there to Scotland and especially to Aberdeen as part of research researching my families ancestors. The food was pretty good, but I was a little underwhelmed. I ordered halibut because it’s my absolute favorite and it was overcooked. I think my waitress after a little while became busy with other tables and I felt like I didn’t get much service and it took quite a while to get my bill. Based on reviews and people talking I expected more. The location and views were amazing. I will say that the sticky toffee pudding was the best I had in Scotland. I would still recommend!
Paulette P — Google review
We arrived early but were seated quickly which we appreciated. We had crab soup and the special of carpaccio of sea bass to start - both sublime, and haddock and chips and hake for the main. The haddock was meaty but batter tasted of nothing and slightly under fried. We finished with sticky tide pudding which was tasty. Service was more cafe than restaurant. Overall- okay but could be elevated which I think most patrons would want.
Anthony L — Google review
This is one of the best restaurants in Aberdeen. Located by the pier and beach, the ocean views are lovely. Staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful, and professional. The wine and drinks selections are excellent, with something for everyone. The star of the show, though, is the delicious and inventive food. I had the halibut, which was fresh and delicious, and served with baby potatoes and runner beans in a remarkably delicious sauce. My husband had the hake, perfectly cooked, with fennel salad, garlic mash, and this amazing roasted pureed garlic with basil oil. Delicious! We shared the sticky toffee pudding and misogyny caramel sauce with ice cream that was so indulgent and such an inventive take on the ubiquitous dessert. A perfect meal!
Francesca P — Google review
Weird location on the waterfront port in a commercial area. Not a bad thing - just unusual. Service was a bit lacking due to scarce wait staff. Also waited a long time between appetizers and main meal. Had to flag wait staff to ask about our meal and “coincidentally” it was magically ready after asking. Suspect it was sitting under heat lamps for a bit. Food was hit/miss. The chilled oysters and haggis bites were good as an appetizer. The halibut main course was dry but the seafood linguine was very tasty. Dessert was fine but in the end, only a mediocre experience.
J. C — Google review
We stopped for lunch 8 of us , we hadn’t booked, but the staff quickly made up a table for us. Great location at the end of the harbour with views watching the ships sail into dock. The restaurant is decorated to reflect the nautical location, loved the Aberdeen fish market catches wall. We chose from an extensive fish menu ( meat & veggie options available) mussels, Cullen Skin soup fish and chips and a burger. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. We were on a flyer to the airport, it would have been good to linger longer at the Silver Darling.
Mary W — Google review
We enjoyed a super meal here on Friday night. The food was exceptional, the service also very good. I had the seafood linguine and it was delicious. A very extensive wine list. A beautiful location where you can see the beach and watch the ships passing by.
Mark B — Google review
Usually do not leave bad reviews but we were quite disappointed with our visit to The Silver Darling. We felt like the service was quite rude, we were questioned in a judgmental way on the amount we ordered and throughout the lunch there were visible signs that the waitress was annoyed at us for asking help on anything. The food was generally fresh and good but the starters specifically were pretty underwhelming with both the shrimps and scallops lacking in flavor. The breaded fish was also under-seasoned and soggy. Overall we would not visit again unfortunately.

Nestled in the heart of Aberdeen, Bhan Thai is a delightful spot that may surprise you with its authentic Thai offerings. Bahn Thai is great. Their menu is huge with a lot of variety and they are very accommodating with any allergies. Their menu staff are so lovely and friendly. Great spot of a group dinner. We’ve been several times and will always go back.

Epic Fail on my part. How have I lived in Aberdeen for 31 years but never experienced Bhan Thai before now, especially when they’ve been open for nearly 20!? A the saying goes “a picture paints a thousand words” and hey, just look at this food! I can assure you that it is true and authentic Thai, tweaked by the 🇹🇭 Chef upon request, to reflect the diners desired 🌶️ levels and WOW! what a taste crescendo this selection of dishes served up. It’s a must try experience and great value too, three of us ate heartily and washed 6 large (650ml) Changs down between us - for a little over a hundred pounds. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ all the way!

A hidden gem in Aberdeen. I visited for lunch on Saturday and was upset to see how quiet it was. It’s so important to support local businesses. Bhan Thai offers fantastic authentic Thai food in the centre of Aberdeen. I was given a complimentary basket of prawn crackers to start whilst scanning the menu. I ordered Tom Yum soup which arrived at the table promptly. It was packed with flavour and there was plenty of chicken! I also had the the Chicken with Cashew Nuts. This dish was served with rice. The chicken was coated in a light batter which was lovely and crispy. The portion was a decent size and the rice came at no extra cost. The sauce was mild but tangy. Everything was so tasty. I was so full I struggled to finish it all, which is a really good sign. I couldn’t reccomend Bhan Thai enough. I will return soon for dinner. I want to try the Thai papaya salad. Thank you to the server who was really lovely and made the meal enjoyable!

We had a great meal at Goulash! The food was delicious and authentic Hungarian. I highly recommend the goulash soup, the chicken paprikas, and, especially, the beef goulash. The restaurant is a hidden gem, on Adelphi, just a few steps off Union St. It’s actually just behind the Maritime Museum. The owners were very friendly and answered all of our questions. Only Eastern-Europeans can truly understand the warmth you get from entering a restaurant that is decorated and kept the way Goulash is. We could not wait for having a proper beef goulash and loved what we received. We followed that with a selection of Hungarian cakes and to complete our experience, we were invited to the basement shop offering eastern-european products, of which many were Czech, so we happily made a little shopping of our most favourite and missed treats. Welcoming and friendly service from the lovely owners. Thank you for the dining experience that felt like home.

Couldn't skip the opportunity to have a dinner in Goulash being Hungarian in the middle of our Scottish trip. We weren't disappointed. The beef and pork stew were just like made by my mother. The drinks were also authentic. If you are bored of the Scottish / English standard food and if you want to taste the harmony of spices (not hot☝️) then give a chance to Goulash (or Gulyás written in Hungarian). You will want to have more I assure you

Contour Cafe, located in The Green, is a popular spot in Aberdeen. It's praised for its central location near Union Terrace Gardens and the Aberdeen Maritime Museum. With 107 reviews, it's highly regarded for its chill vibes and excellent coffee. The cafe offers a variety of food options including breakfast buns, salads, sandwiches, and homemade pizzas made with in-house dough. Visitors can enjoy the outdoor seating area while savoring their food and drinks.
Lovely cafe near the train station! The staff were attentive and quick to help us with our order. They also provided take away containers when requested. Their blueberry pancakes are absolutely wonderful! Their english muffins are also very crispy and go perfectly with the poached eggs. Smoke salmon was incredibly fresh as well. Only thing was that the hollandaise sauce was a little too thick and could do with some lemon zest. Would recommend stopping by!

Contour Cafe is a small spot tucked away in a stunning little area, hidden from the busy main street running through Aberdeen town. From the outside, with all its seating, it definitely looks like a place that gets busy. I can imagine it being a lovely spot to sit and eat in the summer when the weather is nice. The staff were really friendly and welcoming, which added to the charm. The decor did not quite grab me though, it felt like it was not sure what it wanted to be, especially with the mix of seating styles inside. I had a BLT while I was there and it is honestly one of the better ones I have had in a long time. If I am ever back in Aberdeen, I will definitely be returning.

This is a hidden gem, near where the old Aberdeen Market building was. Despite the view from the place looking like a war zone, there’s a lot of thriving little businesses in this area and this place is definitely one of them. Two Cappuccino and a chocolate brownie. This Cafe has very high standards with the Service, the food quality, the food presentation. The Cappuccinos were made to perfection, the right amount of froth and the perfect temperature. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. Top marks to the Chef, this guy is a major asset to the Sand Dollar Cafe. Would i reccomend this place to eat breakfast or lunch or even just a coffee, YES HIGHLY RECCOMENDED. Each time i visit the Sand Dollar Cafe I'm never ever let down, Each visit was better than the first and keeps getting better. ❤❤

Had an absolutely perfect breakfast here this morning. I had the crispy chicken and waffles, and my wife had the Sand Dollar Pancakes. Both were delicious! The coffee was really good too. Top quality service too, and all the staff were friendly and attentive. Very highly recommended.

Fantastic little place. We decided to pop down for brunch around noon on Sunday. There was a bit of a queue when we arrived as the place was full but the waitresses came over to let us know we wouldn't have to wait too long and gave us menus so we could have a look at what we wanted. After a small wait we were seated. I originally was going to go for the Sand Dollar breakfast which involved pancakes, bacon and maple syrup until I saw the specials board. I was tempted by the scallop and black pudding salad. It did not disappoint. Beautiful food, great atmosphere and spot on service. I'll definitely be back.

Excellent, homely, lively, yummy! Visited when we came up to take my Great Aunt out for lunch and they were so freindly. Also offer smaller portions for elderly or for people with a smaller appetite. Really busy but quick service and worth the 10mins wait for a table. Will be back 😁 already recommended to friends.

Just amazing. The team have been so adaptable during all these restrictions and always bring a smile to everyone's face with all their cheeriness ! Food is incredible and they've found ways to make everything available for take out. Great range of choices if you're gluten-free, vegetarian or vegan. Big thanks to everyone at Sand Dollar :)

A very nice place with plenty of choice for breakfast, smoked salmon, croissants, oat meals and cakes. Nice coffee also. How busy the Sand Dollar Café is says a lot about the quality of the food! Also very kind staff. We will go back

Lovely casual place. Dog friendly too! Service was superb and the food was nice. Unfortunately I was too hungry and forgot to take pictures of our food.

Our favorite place to have cooked full Scottish breakfast in Aberdeen. It‘s definitely worth the waiting time until a seat gets free and the waiting time until your breakfast is at your table since everything is cooked fresh! The personal stays nice and friendly even during busy times of the day.

Shopping mall
Beach Boulevard Retail Park in Aberdeen is a popular seaside mall offering a wide range of stores for housewares, pet supplies, toys, clothing, and shoes. The park features well-known retailers such as Aldi, Asda, Smyths, Pets at Home, Home Bargains, Dunelm, The Range and Iceland. Visitors can take a break at the cafes located within Dunelm and The Range or explore the food court with options like Costa Coffee and Starbucks.
All hyper markets at one place. So convenient!

It's a good place to visit for its variety of shops. ASDA is a good size, Smyths have good stuff for the kids etc. Plenty of spaces to park and only a 10 minute walk from town too. Beware, it's a bit dodgy with a certain hotel near by and the constant protestors. Best be careful at night.

Smyths for basketball stand. I used click and collect and was helped back to my car with the stand on a trolley by one of the staff. Click and collect was so quick and easy and was ready in 20 mins from placing order.

Very disappointed with Aberdeen Aldi beach boulevard. I been shopping at the store for the last 5 years but will never return again as there is never available staff at the till. I do weekly shopping for family of 4 people so can u imagine how long it takes to pack up on the self service. Always have to wait if wanting removed the bag os stuck. Definitely not coming back

Retail park is a dump, litter EVERYWHERE bins removed by owners nearly a year ago with no replacement. Countless action requests to rectify the issue.Trollys full of garbage coffee cups and empty cans now get dumped all over the stores within the retail park. OWNERS AND PARK MANAGEMENT FAIL TO RESOLVE.

Went to Asda yesterday. It was plenty of parking space. ATM available. It is a great retail park because many of my favourite shops in one place.

If you're in Aberdeen Scotland then you probably will at some pointe end up shopping here at this boulevard of Shoppes. There are many shops & stores here including Asda for food. You can do almost all of your shopping here including food, homewares or of you just want to stop and get some coffee from a cafe. 100% recommended. James...

Codona's Amusement Park in Aberdeen offers a lively day out for families and thrill-seekers with a variety of rides and attractions suitable for all ages. Situated along the scenic Aberdeen beachfront, Codona's features both indoor and outdoor entertainment options, including classic fairground rides like the carousel, dodgems, and rollercoaster. Great place for family entertainment. Slot machines , pool tables , electric go carts and more. Restaurants inside serve great burgers and drinks. There are a lot of different entertainment options, like bowling or electronic darts. For all age groups. We spent two days out there and it was fun. Definitely recommend!

Mini golf- spacious outdoor area. Needs a bit of a refreshment. The surface has a lot of holes and bumpy bits. Some have no marks of where to start. Karting- they’re extremely slow. We had fun though. Indoor games- nice variety of games and tickets that can be exchanged for prices. Bumper cars were the highlight for my nephew. We went back several times. Francis was very friendly and ensured we had a pleasant experience.

It's good but when you buy your pass you can only pick 1 off the good things like the race cars or laser quest. I ended up spending an extra £40 for my boys to go to laser quest and bowling. It's good but prepare to spend extra money there the pass is good but you still need money to go on some things. Food was ok but bought the boys coke zero it was £2 each for a small glass like 3 moth fulls.

Cute a nice amusement park, got bowling, mini golf, pool tables ,lazer-tag, go-carts. Many food options and a bar. Its good to check for the bundles , cause you can get good prices if you are planning to spend a long day there trying everything.

We really enjoyed ourselves today. My Son's first time and he loved every minute of it. The park was clean and tidy with very welcoming staff, especially the gentleman operating the Ferris wheel and the lady operating the waltzers. We had a good laugh with them both and they made us feel most welcome. Will definitely be back, five stars!!

We had a great time at Codona’s Amusement Park recently. Siddharth at the park was very helpful and made sure our kids enjoyed all the rides. Thank you, Siddharth, for your help! We had a wonderful experience overall.
Siva V — Google review
The outdoor attractions are enjoyable for both children and parents; however, the indoor area consists almost entirely of a casino. Apart from a few games designed for children, the majority of the machines are intended for gambling. This environment exposes children to gambling activities at an early age, potentially normalizing such behavior for the future.
Mahmud M — Google review
Not what it use to be. Gone are the exciting rides, killer arcades and Rambo land. In with the gambling machines, painfully safe rides and soft play areas. Definitely for a modern "smart phone" society with a small attention span.

Aberdeen Beach is a vast expanse of sandy coastline with a bustling promenade and an array of dining options nearby. It offers a taste of Scotland's coastal beauty, where you can enjoy leisurely walks, beach activities, and the refreshing North Sea breeze. The area is perfect for relaxation or exploration, catering to beach enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Whether you're seeking a tranquil retreat or an active day out by the sea, Aberdeen Beach promises an unforgettable experience for all visitors.
What i have to say about this beach. Everything you need to make your day at the beach is available here. Leisure or amusement park, cafes, restaurants, big parking and public toilets all around to make things easy for public. Lovely sandy beach hidden under the snow blanket. Very clean and tidy so far as i haven’t seen any rubbish on ground. It is clean and has quite a bit of bins for throwing rubbish away. The water seemed quite clean as well. There is also enough benches around. Definitely perfect place for a long walk at beach to meditate. Had very freezing but an amazing day here include enjoyed sunset.
Win T — Google review
I had the chance to visit Aberdeen Beach twice this year, and each experience was truly unique. When I first went in January, the ocean was wild and powerful — the waves were high, the foam thick, and the whole atmosphere felt dramatic and alive. It was a breathtaking sight, full of energy, with the cold wind and roaring sea creating a true winter coastal scene. I returned in April, and the contrast was amazing. It was low tide, the sea was calm, and the beach stretched out wide and peaceful. The wet sand gleamed beautifully under the soft spring light, creating a serene and inviting landscape. Aberdeen Beach has a special charm in every season — whether you enjoy the raw power of nature or the quiet beauty of a calm shoreline, it’s a place that leaves a strong impression. I’m really glad I got to experience both moods of the sea here.

Lovely long promenade with stunning sea views, clean sandy beach, and plenty of space for walking or cycling. Great for families, with nearby cafés, play areas, and ice cream shops. Beautiful spot to relax, watch the waves, or even catch sight of dolphins!

Life long Aberdonian and honestly very rarely ever come down to the beach. But at the weekend we walked from end to end and it was honestly beautiful. Was soo peaceful and everybody out walking and talking not glued to their phones. People enjoying ice creams, coffee or even a cheeky sauna. I may be slightly biased as I’m from here but it is a beautiful beach surrounded by beautiful people.

Aberdeen Football Club, based in the Scottish Premier League, boasts a stadium that serves as their home ground. This venue offers guided tours of both the pitch and the club itself. As a recent resident of Aberdeen, one purchased a season ticket to witness live football matches. However, an issue arose with obstructed views caused by safety railings in the seating section. The responsive club staff promptly resolved this matter by reassigning seats, earning them high praise.
Brilliant atmosphere! Seats were dead cheap under £25 for a cup quarter final! Booked with plenty of seats free a week beforehand. Parking is a bit iffy but if you park further away and walk 10 or so minutes it’s manageable. The facilities were all in working order and the location is always a favourite, right by the coast! The gift shop/merch hub is open during the week which is just next door!

As a new resident to Aberdeen I bought a season ticket to the Dons in order to watch some live football. Due to my seats section being closed until the first league game I was not aware of the issue I would have with my view being blocked by the safety railing (a few inches taller or shorter it would have been fine). The club staff were fantastic in swapping my seat and for that reason they get five stars. The stadium itself is a bit old fashioned but that gives it character! I can see why a new stadium is in the future club plans though. Beware of seagulls when you visit!

Was a different experience than normal at Pittodrie, we were texo vip guests. So enter through the players and staff door given a goodie bag got to see the press room meet some players and Dave Cormach at the pitch side before being led straight to our seat's and the dons won which of course was the highlight of the whole experience

Torry Battery, located in Aberdeen, Scotland, is a historic defensive structure dating back to 1860. It served as a crucial defense for the city and its harbor during times of war. Today, it stands as a scheduled ancient monument with breathtaking views of the North Sea and prominent Aberdeen landmarks such as the Town House clock tower and Marischal College. Lovely quiet walk, views are exquisite. No dolphins or seals on display today, ha! No games or leisure in the harbour, didn't realise that. Great walk, time to reflect or just breathe.

Fish & chips restaurant
Fast food restaurant
The Bluebird Fishbar is a traditional fish and chip restaurant that is known for its crispy batter and fresh seafood. The restaurant is located in a busy part of town, so it can be difficult to get a table on busy days. However, the food is worth the wait, and the servings are large enough to satisfy even the biggest appetite. The pies, puddings, sausage & fried pizza are also excellent choices if you're feeling hungry after your meal at the fish & chip shop.
This was a perfect experience. Everything we could have hope for and more for what he understand to being a chippy experience. We had a fish, a fish and chips, an irn brew and a curry sauce for dipping. Perfection. The staff was extremely nice and quirky! We felt as though we had accidentally walked into a sitcom scenario with all the customers and staff get together. And us being the odd out Americans 😂😂😂

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Hidden Gem for Fish & Chips in Aberdeen – Truly Impressive! While searching for great fish and chips in Aberdeen, I came across Bluebird through a Google search. The place had strong reviews and a solid rating, so I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did. As I walked in, I was greeted by two young ladies running the Shop. The first thing I noticed was how exceptionally clean and tidy the place was—far beyond what you might expect for a casual chippy. I stood for a moment unsure whether to order, pretending to read the menu, but once I observed how neatly and professionally they were preparing and serving the food, I felt confident and placed an order for two fish and chips. The portion size was generous for the price, and the service was fantastic. The two girls were not only friendly and welcoming, but also showed a high level of hygiene and efficiency. They cleaned up after each order, stayed on top of the flow of deliveries and walk-ins, and kept the operation running smoothly—all while creating a great atmosphere. The wait time was short—no more than 15 minutes—and when I got home and tried the food, I was genuinely impressed. The fish was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and delicious, and the chips were crisp and flavorful, without that typical fishy aftertaste you sometimes get. It was clear they’re cooking the chips and fish separately with care. With over 25 years of experience working in food & beverage across hotels and restaurants, I can confidently say this was one of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Bluebird is a true hidden gem in Aberdeen, and I will absolutely be returning. Highly recommended!

This place omg! I have had a lot of fish and chips in my lifetime, but this was by far the best fish I have ever had. The staff are not really chatty and don't like working there (or so it seems, they were a bit rude), but they make amazing food. Had a haddock supper plus pineapple rings. Both excellent. I would go back to Aberdeen just for that.

Very good fish and chips at a reasonable price. It was nice to see staff battering the fish as soon as the order was placed. The batter itself was thin and crispy throughout and the chips were of a good standard with plenty of them. I'll be back! Staff were nice too 👍

I purchased the Chicken and Rice from your Aberdeen King Street location, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The food had a foul smell, and both the rice and chicken seemed undercooked. The taste was unpleasant to the point of making me feel nauseous, it honestly felt like I was eating spoiled or rotten food. I’ve always had a positive impression of Pepe’s and have enjoyed the food in the past, which is why I chose to visit again. However, this experience was completely unexpected and far below the standard I associate with your brand.

As a Canadian visiting UK, this place was on the top of me list to try! And I gotta tell ya, this place knocked it out the park! Excellent in every way. From the moment we walked in, the friendly staff made us feel right at home. The food was simply outstanding. Each dish was prepared with skill and precision, bursting with flavour. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was top-notch. The atmosphere was inviting and comfortable, adding to the overall dining experience. The “extreme” wings were a crowd favourite at our table and definitely one to try if you can handle the spice! The Peri Peri fries were a hit too, so well seasoned and just the right cooking for them to be extra crispy! The team made one small error in our order but were quick to remedy the error so that we were not left disappointed. The staff at Pepe’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence truly set them apart. If you're looking for an excellent dining experience, Pepe's is a must-visit, especially this location in Aberdeen! Thank you for the great hospitality all the way from Canada!

Restaurant
Thaikhun is a charming eatery adorned with Thai artifacts, offering an array of delectable Thai skewers, grills, curries, and stir-fries. Located in Union Square Shopping Centre in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, this rustic restaurant emits an authentic ambiance through its decor and the attire of its staff. The service provided is remarkably efficient, ensuring prompt delivery of orders while maintaining high-quality food that tantalizes the taste buds.
Such a fun spot for Thai food in Union Square! Thaikhun Aberdeen brings bold street-food vibes with vibrant decor and a buzzing atmosphere. We had the Pad Thai, served on a banana leaf-shaped plate — super eye-catching presentation. The noodles were perfectly cooked with a sweet-savory balance, and the side of crushed peanuts added a great crunch. Could’ve used a little more tang or spice, but still really satisfying. The Thaikhun Platter was packed with variety: juicy chicken satay, crispy spring rolls, prawn tempura, fish cakes — perfect for sharing. The peanut sauce stole the show. Friendly service, fast kitchen, and a great vibe. Not fine dining, but it doesn’t try to be — just good, fun Thai food that hits the spot.

The food it’s just amazing. When I come here I always order street noodles with beef, they are my must have. The staff it’s so lovely and always very helpful, with a big smile on their faces. I really enjoy eat here!!!
Margherita T — Google review
The food was visually appealing and tasted alright, but it wasn’t authentic Thai and lacked spice. Both the food and drinks were quite expensive. Nice atmosphere, clean space, and attentive staff. A decent experience overall, but not ideal if you're looking for genuine Thai cuisine or good value for money.
Eirik K — Google review
I visited your restaurant today for the first time, and I’m honestly shocked. There is a thick layer of dust on many pieces of furniture and decor, and it’s clear that it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. There’s dust on the chandeliers, on the extractor fan — and all of it can easily fall into a customer’s plate. The sinks in the restroom are rusty. Does this even meet hygiene and sanitary standards?
